In short
The hosts vent about (1) “personal space invaders” in lines, (2) algorithm-driven AI “brain rot” content (e.g., obese AI versions of tennis stars and French bulldogs playing tennis), (3) social media/consumer culture (inspirational quotes, “hat epidemic,” protein marketing), and (4) Gwyneth Paltrow’s perceived political tone-deafness and later backlash over a luxury Israeli real-estate campaign amid the Gaza war. They argue her “I feel nothing” comments reflect “princess syndrome” and moral laziness, and that silence/cruelty can be bigotry.
Guests
No named guests appear in the transcript. The episode is hosted by Jennifer and Angie (with Kylie as producer mentioned) plus multiple listener voice memos.

Transcript
Automatic transcript. May contain errors.0:02Jennifer:So are we supposed to start the podcast? Ready? One, two, three. Patriots, gay triots, they triots, black triots, brown triots, we love you and all of the triple Trumpers, everybody in the Trump regime, anybody who even voted for him once can do what?
0:24Jennifer:All right, Pumps, what have you had it with? okay what I've had it with and I've had this grievance before but it's always been from the front but personal space invaders from back I it just seems like I was at the dog school and they have a half door and I was kind of had my arms on the half door and a woman came up to me and was like right behind like I could feel her breath in my hair and so I thought well she doesn't know So I turned around. She was not on her phone. She didn't sound startled or she didn't appear to be sorry. So I backed up. So she had to back up. And then I went up again.
1:03She came up again. It was the weirdest thing. And then I was waiting in line at self-checkout. And somebody did the same thing. And I'm just like, I don't think I've ever experienced personal space invaders from the back. Oh, I have a bunch.
1:20Jennifer:Oh, you have? I think it's more common from the back. I think a rear entry personal space invader is far more than the front. Like you're waiting in line to get on a plane. You're waiting in line at a restaurant. You know, when you have to order at the counter, it seems like everybody's always just creeping up like they don't want any daylight between you and them because everybody's planning on all this cutting prevention. They don't want anybody cutting. I've got to think about the cutting prevention. That's a great prevention. Yeah. And I've been known to kind of scoot in a little bit. that I don't want somebody to feel my breath on their hair.
1:52Jennifer:No, it's horrible. It's weird. Yeah, I can't, I don't like personal space invaders. I just, in general, I don't really like people, you know? I just, it takes a lot to be around people. Now, weird thing is, like in New York, I go outside and everybody's kind of the same. Like nobody really wants to be around a bunch of people, but we all have to be and we have to cooperate, but nobody's all up in anybody's business. But in general, I group activities where you're waiting in line to do things. It's kind of a forced group activity. Like I don't want to be in the line with this person. Yeah. And the more I'm out, like in a general public situation, like at a Thunder game or something, the more I realize I'm better off being agoraphobic because I just, I get frustrated and mad.
2:43And I just think I fucking hate people. Yeah. Yeah.
2:49Jennifer:All right. Let me tell you what I've had it with. So on the weekends, I completely unplug from the news. I have to for my serenity. And so I love to look at like tennis videos on Instagram and French bulldog videos. Well, I noticed on Saturday, like these French bulldog videos started coming up. I was like, oh my God, that dog's so cute. And then I kept going. And And then the next thing I know, I'm watching French Bulldogs play tennis. It's all this AI shit. Play ping pong, cooking, doing all of this shit. And 30 minutes probably goes by. And I'm like, I cannot believe I'm watching imaginary AI slop right now.
3:33Jennifer:Like it's such brain rotting. Anybody who says, oh, social media is not addicting. I'm like, it totally is addicting because I sat there for like 30 minutes and watched imaginary shit. Well, then it really took a darker turn. so the more you engage with this shit the more it pops up right and I had like built my for you page brick by brick where it was just there was nothing political in it it was everything that I wanted travel tennis clips dogs so once I engaged in the French bulldog AI slop and I ended up watching like a bunch of French bulldogs playing tennis and I know that's stupid but I really got a big out of it right so then the next morning i get on or maybe it was later that night and all of a sudden my algorithm starts feeding me ai of roger fetterer and rafa nadal that are morbidly obese they're like 300 pounds each and it's roger and rafa and they're playing at the french open at Roland Garros, but they're like gigantic.
4:34Jennifer:And they're like, so I'm very ashamed to admit I watched AI obese Rafa and Roger. And once I liked, and then it started feeding me fat Carlos Alcaraz and fat Yannick center. And then I just continue to watch it and now my fucking for you page is a goddamn disaster i hate it i hate everything about it so now i have nowhere to just go do mindless shit because i engaged in that one and the algorithm was really smart feeding me french bull dogs plus tennis because i like the real images of them individually so at a item and put them at rolling garrows playing and i was like oh my god look at how great great forehand way to go rip city and then i'm watching obese professional players play and none of it's fucking real and so i've had it with this ai shit i i've had it it's so um it's such brain rot and it's so stupid but here's the most embarrassing part i kind of liked it and i couldn't and and i enjoyed it that's the problem it's such a slippery slope because when you start watching it you think this is so stupid but I like it and that's the bad part because I do that with stuff too I'm like why am I watching this it's so stupid but I can't stop I cannot stop you know what my new thing is that I love on my for you page is the compilation of like people falling and they like their ring camera catches it like falling off the stairs like I I will laugh like I have never been thought anything was so funny.
6:15It's just like even you're ass drunk. Sometimes I laugh that hard over these pictures of just random people falling. So what does that tell you about me? I'm just an asshole. I like to watch people fall.
6:27Jennifer:It's hilarious. I like it. This is even more. This is even darker when it's little kids because they trip up and then they're like, and it's just like a demonic reaction to it like it was a grand conspiracy when actually they're just klutzes and they tripped over themselves and i that even gets me anymore and i think how fucking diabolical am i that i can watch little kids trip fall and then have stage five meltdowns and i think it's hilarious or when they have like those big balls yeah somebody rolls the ball who's like plows the kid over. I like it. I do. I watched like 10 million this weekend.
7:06Jennifer:I love it. Okay. Welcome to I've Had It. I'm Jennifer. I'm Angie. All right, Kylie, what's going on with the reviews out there? I've got two five-star reviews. This one is where exactly is the thing? And Reggie, I love the show and never have I ever heard so many here's the things in my life. So I'm wondering where exactly is the thing and how many things are there? We don't know. As soon as you find out, let us know. Yeah. Tell us what's another thing we say all the time, Kylie. Everybody says the deal, the deal, you know, the deal. All right. What's the next one? This one's five stars titled.
7:42Jennifer:Thank you. Casserole Kate says, this is my weekly therapy. Do you accept United? No, we don't access denied insurance tonight. We're raising your premium. Yeah. Welcome to America. Welcome to healthcare in America. All right. I have some news stories. So Gwyneth Paltrow over this past weekend was on a podcast with, I think, somebody who has something to do with Palantir, like he was an owner or on the board or something, some AI guy. And I just want to set this up. Gwyneth Paltrow is a Nepo baby, and I don't have an issue with Nepo babies. People cannot choose where they're born and who their parents are.
8:22Jennifer:I take issue with, with Nepo babies that don't have enough introspection to get out of their world to understand their privilege because we're all, you know, you have time to do that. You have time to seek out what the lifestyles and life are of other people that are not you. And because of this Nepo baby situation, her dad's a director, mom is an actor she was able to probably shortcut and have access to a lot of auditions and she's a very talented actress and i think she's very pretty i'm just gonna say that and then she starts goop and she has a pussy candle and whatnot now here's my thing on that like if you can sell a pussy candle and make millions of dollars swing for the fences i mean that sounds like a racket that was fucking brilliant i can't believe anybody buys it but i'm not gonna knock all that shit if you're into all this wellness shit whatever whatever.
9:18Jennifer:What I don't like is when people see what's happening in the United States of America right now and they say shit like this. Play the clip. So if my own husband who is the best person ever in the world, he's so progressive, like he has such a sweet heart and he wants to like make sure everybody's looked after. I'm pretty centrist and my husband thinks I'm a Republican, which I'm not a Republican. I mean, I don't feel anything right now, to be totally honest with you. I feel like I'm completely an independent. What a luxury. Yeah. Lucky her. She just gets to be centrist. And I mean, if you're being accused of being Republican, those are fighting words, actually, in this day and age.
10:06Don't you think?
10:07Jennifer:Yes. Yes. I mean, that to me is like, tell us you're a Republican without telling us you're a Republican. Yeah. And she has so many women customers. And I think, I mean, I've bought a dildo from Gwyneth Haltrow before from goo. I mean, from goo, not Gwyneth. I didn't like have her used dildo or whatever you call it, vibrator. But I think about women in Oklahoma that their doctors are being prosecuted if they give them any type of reproductive care or advice and women having to go out of state and women dying, and I think you really wouldn't be offended that somebody called you a Republican. You wouldn't take a line in the sand there when you have a company that I would assume, now I don't know, I haven't seen her demographic, but I would assume it's predominantly women.
10:55Yeah.
10:55Jennifer:So my thing is where she says she doesn't feel anything. Yeah. And this is the fundamental problem with a lot of white women. They live a very insulated life and a lot of them suffer from princess syndrome where they think the world needs to be curated exclusively for them and don't have empathy and have a lot of privilege. their parents, you know, helped them in Gwyneth Paltrow's case. And I'm not going to take away credit where credit is due. I think she's a good actress. I think she's really good at it. And she built this brand Goop. Apparently, Goop is having financial problems. I don't know if that's true or not.
11:42Jennifer:That's just something I read. And so she's sucking up to these AI people. My fundamental problem with this type of narrative is it's a lot more common than just Gwyneth Paltrow. Yeah. There are droves of women that do not give a shit and never speak up for the marginalized ever until it benefits them or until it impacts them. And to think about all of the gay people that have probably dressed her, done her makeup, done her hair, and then to think about all of the anti-LGBTQ plus legislation at a record tick that is going, that she could sit there and say, I don't feel anything. And that she doesn't feel embarrassment at a bare minimum is mind boggling to me.
12:39Jennifer:But I know, I mean, from living in Oklahoma, there are so many women that have this princess syndrome and do not give a shit about other human beings. And I've seen it so many times, which is why I've always hung out with gay men and not a lot of women in Oklahoma, because there's just, I always just, there was a depth level that I couldn't penetrate with them about world events, about human rights, about social justice. They were completely out to lunch, just didn't bother them at all. Didn't affect them in the least bit. And that's just not who I am. It's I've never been that person. I've always been acutely aware that the march for all of these things is on all of us, that we all share the burden for this.
13:25No, I completely agree. And I can say, honestly, I was one of these people. If it didn't affect me, I didn't give a shit. I didn't vote. I didn't vote. I didn't look to vote for it. I, it just never hit my brain unless it affected me personally. And that is something that I have to deal with shame over because it's like I grew up white community, white, you know, very little experience with other cultures than homogenous white evangelical Christian. And that taught me it's all about me. I get to make all the decisions based on what's good for me. And I don't have to have empathy for other people.
14:04So the lack of empathy that I showed going into, you know, So adulting, even after having kids, is something that shames me. And I feel horrible about it. But in my case, not that I'm blaming, because I myself am to blame. I'm an adult. And I was an adult when this happened. I mean, I could blame it on my childhood, yeah. But for me, it was this evangelical thing that it's all about me. I'm special. I get to be special. And I'm favored kind of thing.
14:38Jennifer:Yeah. And in the case of Gwyneth Paltrow, this is a woman who was born in New York and raised in L.A. That's what I mean. So I think when we take it outside of the lens of Bible Belt, of course, I think this is more ubiquitous in the Bible Belt. But this white lady experience, when you really dive into like social justice circles or LGBTQ plus movement or the pro-Palestine movement or just trying to get Kamala Harris elected. something really simple like that the white woman problem is beyond regional um it's beyond religion um and it's a very interesting component that we need to reconcile and so that's why i thought this clip about gwyneth paltrow was just so uh tone deaf uh insensitive um and sometimes I think silence is, you know, some of the biggest forms of bigotry, people that don't speak out.
15:39Jennifer:And she has immense privilege. And an immense, I think she says like 9 million followers on Instagram. And what a way like in this time period where we see American citizens getting shot, where we see immigrant population has paperwork issues, getting sent to concentration camps, And now they're saying they're not going to release the names of the administration just had an announcement. We're not going to release the names of people that die in custody. They're completely erasing people's humanity. And I don't know if her algorithm is similar to what I was explaining mine was earlier or if it's just pussy candles and, you know, maha shit.
16:20Jennifer:But I think the lesson here is that radicalization, regardless of your upbringing, is fairly easy now online. It's fairly easy. I don't know. I know that she campaigned with and endorsed Obama back in the day. But to not have an opinion about what's going on right now and not feeling anything and saying that out loud is a level of sociopathy that I don't think just exists with her. Yeah, no, you're right. Because it's not always religion because I wouldn't think that she was raised evangelical. So I think you're 100%, 100 % right. It's a huge problem. Look at the voting bloc. White women, our age group, voted for Trump overwhelmingly.
17:08Jennifer:White women in particular don't have any issue like Gwyneth Paltrow, like I said, the stylists, the fashion designers, the hairstylists, probably the creative directors, set directors, Other actors are black and brown skinned, maybe came from, you know, not places of privilege that she did. Members of the LGBTQ plus community and throughout her career. And then to be so tone deaf and actually I felt like it was really cruel. I felt like it was really mean spirited what she said there. I feel nothing. I just thought, my God, for all the people that are having sleepless nights, for all the children whose parents are hiding them so ICE won't come take them, for all of the parents that are hiding, these aren't criminals.
17:53Jennifer:These people have paperwork issues. To get on camera and say you feel nothing when there's so much suffering, to get on camera and say you feel nothing when we know that Elon Musk canceled aid to the poorest people in the world. and we're probably going to have, you know, a lot more diseases, AIDS, remergence of AIDS and all sorts of things happening because of this and that you feel nothing. I felt like not only was it tone deaf, I felt like it was cruel. I felt like it was really mean. Well, especially when she prefaces it by my husband talks about like, it's not like she can't say, I didn't know.
18:32I was so busy working. I just had no idea what's going on in the political space. I had no idea what this administration is doing. She has to know. She just told us her husband keeps her abreast of all that. It's kind of, you know, I didn't think about it as cruel, but you're kind of right.
18:47Jennifer:I mean, yeah, it's such a slap in the face. I just, I think sometimes when somebody says something that overt and that, you know, intentionally tone deaf, it's intentional that there's a cruelty to that, that there is a, uh, it just reminds me of so many white women that I've known that have this princess syndrome and they just, until it benefits them, then they care. That's when they care, when it affects them or benefits them. There's not an inherent, uh, goodness to care about other people more than themselves. And it's, it's something that is, is symptomatic of our culture and the way we always promote individualism above and beyond everything else.
19:40Jennifer:And Twitter, of course, is responding. Let's pop this up. She's even got the classic conservative trait of not having the self-awareness to realize how bad that sounds. and then I want to note that her net worth is estimated at over 200 million dollars and then Meghan McCain responds and she says she has always given me maha mom vibes come on in the water's fine Gwyneth when you talk about maha you're talking about uh the dismantling of science and Gwyneth Paltrow should her children, Moses or Apple or her husband, need care, cancer, aggressive cancer treatment. She can hop on a PJ, head to Europe and get away from here because they are dismantling all cancer research in this country.
20:39Jennifer:They're dismantling expertise. and the whole Maha movement is based on this guy, RFK Jr., who castrates raccoons to study the penises later. I mean, that's just kind of where we are with all this shit. And I've always thought this, like RFK Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Bill Maher to an extent, a lot of these people have a lot of money. They don't have to worry about the basic material things that we all have to worry about. and they are curious about life. So they read a lot and they get bored and then they start thinking in a hubris style, I know better than all of this decades long peer reviewed research.
21:27Jennifer:And they start allowing one little quack doctor in and then another and then another and then another and then the floodgates open. And then you have this situation like we had during COVID where you have lots of people that would not get the vaccine because of junk science that are dead. Completely preventable deaths. And so then Ted Cruz responds, pop this up. So Yashar Ali talks about what it is and Ted Cruz does the eyeballs. So this is, it is, she said in there, everything's so binary right now. Like that was like, and I agree, you know, I don't like all the binary stuff. but it is binary when it comes to freedom and fascism.
22:11Right.
22:12Jennifer:It really is. And you have Meghan McCain and Ted Cruz who have claimed you now. And again, I understand maybe a woman that lived in rural America that never was exposed to multiculturalism. She really has been. Right. Now, privileged, of course. I mean, I doubt she's ever flown, you know, coach, back row, middle seat and all that shit. But working on movie sets and living in New York and L.A. and working with lots of people from the LGBTQ plus community and all different skin colors, maybe from different countries. I just I thought it was incredibly cruel. I thought her statements were really cruel to so many people that are suffering and so stressed out right now.

We thought it was very evergreen content. And I'll be damned if then she doesn't trot out as the paid luxury spokesperson for a real estate campaign in Israel. Pop up the headline. Gwyneth Paltrow sparks backlash with her campaign for luxury Israeli housing. And then here is the ad in question that came out after we filmed everything that you all just heard. So we're jumping in in real time because we did not think that she would be guiding the news cycle.

26:58Jennifer:Play the clip. Oh, not again. Who decided morning should be so early?
27:11Jennifer:Even my coffee needs a coffee. Waking up for a morning run can be brutal. But it's a price I'm willing to pay. Because once I hit the park, pure energy takes over. It's hard to explain.
27:36Jennifer:There's a reason the world's most iconic buildings are by a park. 51 Park. New York? Marzalia. Israel. 51 Park. Shni migdala ukraha vney 51 kumot. Zimud le park herzalia. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Waking up for a morning run can be brutal when a stone's throw from there. There's a genocide going on. Right. They're shooting kids. Here's the deal. I honestly, what I expected the follow-up from Gwyneth, because I am so naive, I expected the follow-up to be her getting on a microphone and saying, I listened to myself and I'm not happy with the way that came off. And it sounded insensitive, blah, blah, blah.
28:26I expected some kind of course correction. I did not expect a full-blown double down.
28:35Jennifer:Yeah, I thought it was intentional when she sat down with the AI guy that that company is funding a lot of Israel stuff. And when you get to be a celebrity of Gwyneth Paltrow's stature, there aren't accidents that happen where she wondered on some podcast and she didn't have a team of people that vetted it. I realize now that was the appetizer. She was running interference to prep her audience that she was going to be the spokesperson for these$10 million apartments. Critics noted that Herzilia Seafront was the site of the Palestinian village Al-Haram, and it was emptied in 1948. And, you know, this is a moment where you really see if people have conviction or not.
29:36Jennifer:And there's a through line that I see with people that are uncritically thinking Israel supporters, that are supporters of unregulated capitalism, that are supporters of Elon Musk, that are supporters of MAGA. the through line in all of that is once you agree that it's okay to exploit a certain group of people no matter what that group is black people gay people palestinians what have you once you make that bargain in your moral compass the breakage from there is just off a cliff and you see that here with gwyneth paltrow this is a woman who you know she's had a very successful career in the United States.
30:20Jennifer:She didn't need the money from being the spokesperson on this. This is a political statement. There's a cruelty to this. And she said on the podcast we just listened to that, you know, her husband thinks she's a Republican, but she's not a Republican. This is just so when the world is watching this genocide take place and these kids getting shot and millions of Lebanese people being displaced. This isn't about anti-Semitism or Jewish people. It's about we have to criticize far-right fascist governments. They must be criticized. And right now the United States is worthy of all of the criticism in the world.
31:03Jennifer:And if there were some famous French actress and she was offered by some American company to do something on a site where a village used to live. And she said, no, I would understand why. I mean, this is beyond, there's an intentional cruelty to this. There's an intentional in your face about this stuff that I don't like about this stuff. I don't like that people with platforms like Gwyneth Paltrow could really make a difference for LGBTQ plus community, which is under attack. the dismantling of the Voting Rights Act here. I mean, the rise in anti-Black racism is off the chart in this country.
31:47Jennifer:It is incredible. And that so many of these actors do not use their platform to stand up for another are those that do. And she's aware of this. She's aware of the Javier Bardem. She's aware of the Mark Ruffalo's. She's aware that a lot of people in Hollywood want to boycott films that were shot in Israel because they're committing so many war crimes. So this isn't accidental. This is intentional. There's an intentional cruelty to Gwyneth Paltrow's choice of the way she wants to earn money right now. You know, I, you have always, and I think the listener knows this, but I'll state it clearly. Your mind has much more clarity and clicks faster than mine.
32:33It always has. And once I think about it. So when you said the cruelty day before yesterday, I really processed that. And I was like, you're right. And it is intentional. And I go back to, well, maybe she made this ad before, you know, October 7th and before the genocide. But then the reality is this has all been done recently it is a political statement there are no oopsies in her level of elite one percent I wouldn't think she is surrounded by people that are protecting her image at all times so having processed it I have to say I've enjoyed her movies but I will never go see another Gwyneth Paltrow movie like I'm out it's just too sad I think there's just this
33:30Jennifer:intentional cruelty to um to her now I just think when you have a microphone what she does and you have autonomy over which ads you can be in which she does and this is what you're choosing in light of a woman who has catapulted to her success with on the backs of a lot of really creative, marginalized people that despite the Gwyneth Paltrow's of the world, were able to be the makeup artist, were able to be the fashion designer, were able to be the sound guy on set. And she's been able to work in a diverse work environment. But obviously when it comes to her private time, it's cracker city. and it is white supremacist shit because this is it's just so it's so disappointing that like and then here's the thing too like i guess i have to say this at least we know where she stands right you know like a maga person that has the maga flag and all the shit at least we know okay gwyneth paltrow is a fascist gwyneth paltrow supports fascism gwyneth paltrow is not at all bothered remotely by the war crimes being committed by israel and the united states of america you know this is presumably after the start of the iran war you know this is crazy shit and if it wasn't after she has enough money enough lawyers enough to say we need to rescind her participation in this condominium project thing yeah so that's right yeah it's just it's thank god i mean chris Martin is probably like, I'm so glad we consciously uncoupled, you know, he's like, you're goddamn right.
35:15Jennifer:It was conscious. It was consciously uncoupling. She is a piece of work. Yeah. And I always liked her. I always liked all of her movies and stuff, but God, I mean, when somebody shows you who, who they are, believe them. Right. That is, that is, those are the truest words. And I have failed throughout my life to follow those words. And I have to work every day to follow those words because I'm always thinking, well, that's, that can be what somebody meant. You know what I mean? And so when someone shows you who they are, believe them is something that I have to consciously be aware of all the time.
35:53because giving people the benefit of the doubt and trying to rationalize this kind of behavior, it's not possible. And it's a fool's errand.
36:04Jennifer:Totally. Okay. Let's listen to a couple of voice memos. Um, since we're kind of doing this split show, here's Kylie. We're all in different outfits. It's a different day, but my God, who knew that, uh, Gwyneth Paltrow would be driving the news cycle. Kylie, what did you make of all that? It's super disappointing. I always liked Gwyneth. I did too. But your point in just working in the industry, we do. Her own team put out that clip. They clipped it and they put it out themselves. So one, yeah, it was on purpose. It was completely planned. And I think it was ahead of this ad just to kind of set the soil.
36:40And a lot of people on Twitter are saying this is like advertising luxury apartments in Nazi Germany. It's exactly what it is. During the peak of the Holocaust. so yeah i don't think there's any room for excuses for her and it's so lazy yeah to me it's so morally
36:55Jennifer:lazy to support uh the world that has enabled her to be where she is right now it's the laziest thing on the planet if i wanted to be morally lazy i could hang out with all white people not read beyond anything that benefits me not vote beyond anything that personally benefits me I could go vote my pocketbook. I could only be interested in white upper class people. I could do that. That's what Gwyneth Paltrow does, but it's so morally lazy to do it. What I'm interested in having in my life are the people who are morally curious, not just intellectually curious, but morally curious. How do I become a better person?
37:37Jennifer:For a lot of people, they try to find that answer in religion. And if you actually genuinely do become a better person through religion, good on you. I'm not a big religious person. But for me, I found that answer to be diversity. Diversity not only in skin color, not only in country of origin, but diversity in income. Hanging around with people that are different from you. And that's why these people are so terrified of the New York cities of the world. That's why Fox News is so triggered by blue cities because diversity is the antidote to this big ridiculous shit show that we just saw Gwyneth Paltrow partake in.
38:19Jennifer:She's morally lazy, intellectually lazy. And I mean, you know, for me, I mean, it's just like, it's over. I will never, ever go watch a Gwyneth Paltrow movie that she consciously did this, just like when Chris Martin consciously uncoupled from her, which now Now I completely understand. Yeah. Now it makes so much more sense. Okay. Voice memo. Okay. Up first, we've got Ben. Okay. I've recorded this like four times to get it right, but hello, Patriots, Gaytriots, Patriots. I've had it. I love you guys. Jen and Pumps, I remember you from Bravo years ago. So I have been with you since day one. Happy Pride Month to Kylie with the best blonde hair.
39:08I hear that compliments get these through. And hello to the new gay triad on the podcast, whose name I'm forgetting right now, so I suck. And Seth. Anyways, what I've had it with that I just realized is walking down the street is ball caps. And specifically the ones that have, like, an object or a phrase on them. You know, like one that just says, Margs, like the girl I just saw walking. Like, we get it, Stacey. You're a terrible drunk. You get wasted, schnookered off of two margaritas and fall off the bar stool. No one wants to drink with you. Like, why do we need all these ball caps that just say words on them of objects you identify with?
39:51Like, drunk. I don't know. Is anybody else seeing an upswing of the hat epidemic? We must stop this. It's a pandemic. And then the other thing I've had it with is Pomp's not getting laid. I think about it often. We need to get her some penis or venus, if you know what I mean. So come on. It's pride. You need some dick or some whatever. Okay. Love you guys. Bye. Pomp. Yeah. You know what the best part about that? If you brought out a truth that you and I haven't browbeat Kylie about. if you compliment kylie you're more likely to get your voice memo through i thought that was a real
40:33Jennifer:oh you know what this is just this is i'm gonna unleash the most sycophantic voice memo bullshit on the planet and i'm in new york with i have to work with her every day you get to log in briefly and then you're out your way i'm in this all day every day eight hours a day with her so she's talking around saying how popular and great she is all the compliments so angie what do you have to say about uh getting i'm ready are you ready to like sex huh are you going do you think you're going to like sex again taking way too long to answer well i'm just saying it's all you need already answered it you already answered let's move on to the like it let's move on to the hat like it you think let's move on to the hat thing and it's the one word marg and i love that you called her stacy um it's not only just with hats that are doing these names it's also like restaurants and bars and businesses like i got an idea we'll open up a bar and everything will be a liquid right and so we're going to name the bar liquid that's it and then let's do liquid period that's it and everybody's like definitely let's workshop that even a little bit more and they come back what we thought is all lowercase liquid period and there's just this whole movement and it's like it's really not you really didn't accomplish that much with the whole thing great simple name but it's it started it's it's going everywhere this is the i'm still in the bible belt so i still see shirts with like phrases like we have to have full phrases on our shirts instead of just a word so it's everywhere huh because it'll eventually trickle down here no the phrases in oklahoma are the worst it's live life love shut the fuck up here's the thing we've talked about we've spoken about this we're inspirational quotes shirts with words wall art um bible verses in social media profiles are all red flags all red flags there has never been a quote that actually inspired me it might have in that moment It might have inspired my thought briefly, but then I just returned to being the horrible, selfish person that we all are.
43:11Jennifer:You know, we're all in our own heads all the time. And it's great to visit quotes of great people that have done great things, but it's only momentarily changes my brain in that moment. I don't know if I've been like, God, I read this quote. And I just, I'm a different person since I read it. It inspired me so much. I've changed my entire life. No, I don't think I've seen that either. Do you all know of anybody who's read an inspirational quote, been so inspired they changed their entire life? No, maybe for like an hour. Yeah, in the moment, right? You situationally are inspired, then you return to being the basic piece of shit you always are.
43:48Yeah.
43:49Jennifer:All right, listener, I don't know about you, but the summer weather makes me rethink everything that I'm putting on. 46:53Jennifer:I also just want to shout out by our ball caps in our store that say I've had it. Those are for sale. Yeah, I've had three three words oh kylie i think we can do an update all lowercase i've had it period i've had a period yeah i like that i've had it period a jazz hand what about if we did hands i've had it and it was and the i've had it is between the jazz hands what about the back in the back is jazz hands i like it that's good right let's workshop it yeah we'll sort of the parking lot and scramble the jets later on that okay the next voice memo i've got is from jace okay so i'm gonna tell you guys my favorite lesbians a long time had it of mine that has recently gone crazy because it's now a trend i have had it with protein i've had it with jim bro saying i need to get my protein oh what's your protein intake shut the fuck up second i've had it with every single goddamn thing that is being sold at a supermarket having protein in it we're talking protein water protein waffles protein pop tarts protein milk protein this protein that shut the fuck up eat your normal goddamn popcorn not chloe kardashian's stupid ass protein popcorn that doesn't even sound good make the regular popcorn drizzle some butter on it and while you're eating that delicious popcorn shove a protein shake straight up your ass it's going to be better than this fucking protein water and all this other bullshit that big protein is trying to sell to you i have absolutely had it i love it big protein that's a really good point so let me tell you what's happening to me so josh of course like it's twist his rubber arm and he's on for any racket any he falls prey to every needless ridiculous exploitative form of capitalism imaginable so you know josh is a big gym bro now and he works out all the time and he's into his body fat we've i've gone on and on about that but he's also into all these supplement stuff so always ordering food with josh has been a fucking nightmare like i've gone to a tex-mex restaurant with him before and we've sat down and he's like yeah we'll have chips and salsa no onions in the salsa and i'm like motherfucker that's pre-made like you cannot do that you have pick out your own onions just shit like that like real like a divorceable orders with this man i have i have sat through divorceable orders that even a judge would go i don't buy me divorce his ass right yeah so now we've moved on to the the protein stuff oh and he's very into these protein shakes and when he comes to new york we like to work out together and we work out very well together like i like to work out he likes to work out we go work out together it's annoying or the gym couple gagged.
49:50Jennifer:I've had it, but I am that also hypocrite, right? So at the gym, we work out, there's a protein shake bar concession stand, whatever. And he is very into ordering me these post-workout smoothies. And here's the thing, right after I work out, I'm not super hungry. Like, and he wants it the second after. So he orders me these protein shakes and I'm standing in there. And he's like, and for her, she'll have the, you know, go get her protein shake and with extra protein and creatine. He wants me to be on all this creatine. And then he's ordered me these creatine on the go packages. And he wants me to like take creatine.
50:31Jennifer:I'm like, I'm not going to take creatine. I'm not going to take protein. None of this stuff fucking existed until very recently, or it did, but hadn't been marketed. And I'm not falling for it. I'm not falling for any of it. and uh so when he and i have to do it he just it's easier for me just to drink the protein creatine shake than have a belabored conversation with him about not drinking it because i submit i submit to my husband on the uh i submit on the creatine protein shakes i don't know when creatine became a thing but it's been a thing for a minute because i had never heard of it before in my life and I can't get away from it.
51:09But here's what I completely agree, completely agree with the caller. But here's another little protein issue I have. It's when they're like, like if I can't eat and I'm in an airport and I'm like, okay, I'm just going to grab a protein bar. I don't want a protein bar that has three grams of protein. That's not a protein bar. I can get a string cheese for that. So I get tired of looking at all these marketed protein bars with like seven grams of protein when there's like a real protein bar that I've bought before. So you're in on this.
51:41Jennifer:You have a grievance from within the community. It sounds to me like you're in the community and you have a grievance from within the community because I'm so outside of the protein creatine community. I couldn't even begin to tell you how much protein was in a protein bar, much less that some, I wouldn't know if three, seven or 500 grams. Yeah, I do. you kylie what does this sound like to you she's a protein girl okay i'm a protein girl i mean i i try to eat a certain amount are you are you secretly taking creatine pumps no i'm not have you taken creatine no not unless one of my sons has put it in my water and i don't know but no don't go to the gym with josh welch to the protein bar afterwards you'll be on creatine i don't i thought it just made you pee all the time i i'm just unfamiliar with the benefits well my one of my girl that i work out with at the gym um she's this russian trainer i love working out with her she gives me these really hard workouts and i was like yeah josh wants me on creatine she's like i take creatine and she's actually really beautiful so the voice makes her sounds like she's not pretty so i want to go actually this woman is incredibly striking and beautiful and i was like i just don't want to take it like i've never taken supplements my whole life.
53:00Jennifer:And she told me that she'd gained 13 pounds since being on creatine. So that was an immediate no for me. Of course, hers is all muscle, but I'm, I don't want to gain 13 pounds. I don't care if it's fat. I don't care if it's muscle. I don't care if it's IQ points. I'm not interested in gaining anything right now. I mean, I'm interested in reducing things in my life, not gaining. So that's crazy. Yeah. So I guess I'm in the protein problem. you're you're part of the protein community well to be fair you're shopping for grams of protein well because when you're on ozempic or whatever you have to make sure you get enough protein so you don't lose as much muscle mass this is so classic of america so during the during the opioid epidemic there were all of these commercials this is for um um opiate induced um constipation Yeah, I remember this.
53:54Jennifer:For the drug. Oh, Zempic. And now there's a drug for the drug for the drug. It's like we are all so like consumed. Have you seen those pharmaceutical commercials where it's like, do you take such and such and suffer one of the side effects? And then it's a drug to prevent the side effect that then has a whole bunch of other side effects? Yeah, I have seen those. I can't remember the product, but I have seen them. Why are we advertising drugs in America? Yeah. Yeah, because, yeah. All right. Does anybody have anything to add to this very disjointed episode? But hey, listener, we do follow the news cycle and we weren't going to not cover Gwyneth Paltrow's I'm back, period, all lowercase dot.
54:40Jennifer:That is fucking crazy shit. It's crazy. And Trump's America to do that shit. Yeah. Divorced from reality. All right. Make sure you subscribe to our podcast. pre-order my book it's called not today fascist and i have a dedication i wonder who this is going to be oh gwenny gwyneth paltrow not today fascist you are one of the fascists here i think your husband's right when he calls you a republican and maybe he needs to take a little bit further and call you a fascist maybe think outside of what it's like to be gwyneth paltrow and while you're at it you might pre-order my book when you might learn some things the link is right below in the show notes.
