In short
The hosts vent about everyday annoyances (group texts, airlines, New York trash-can signage) and then pivot to political outrage over anti-LGBTQ+ actions, especially Tennessee’s “Nuclear Family Month,” and trans rights under Trump policies. They also discuss Caitlyn Jenner’s passport gender-marker reversal and an article about “MAGA gay men.”
Guests
Josh Welch, the host’s husband, a former Oklahoma State fraternity brother friend group member; he tells personal stories including a 1987 one-handed football catch (claims he took ecstasy before the game) and winning Hugo High School “most valuable athlete” for football and tennis. He also appears as a guest on iHip News.
Key claims
Group texts are effectively inescapable across Apple/non-Apple devices without blocking; airlines gaslight passengers about “valuing your time” when crews aren’t scheduled; “traditional family” rhetoric is framed as bigotry. Tennessee’s resolution is portrayed as diminishing LGBTQ+ families. Trump’s “biological sex at birth” policy is said to harm trans people’s travel and safety. Caitlyn Jenner is criticized for supporting bigots and then seeking help after losing an F passport marker.
Notable examples
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee renaming Pride Month to “Nuclear Family Month”; Marsha Blackburn opposing Violence Against Women Act expansion; Caitlyn Jenner’s passport returned marked “M”; article profiling Evan (21), Nick Duncan (43), and Chris Doan (56) as queer Trump supporters.

0:38Josh Welch:For me, when I'm booking a stay, I already know I need a few very specific things. I'm talking blackout curtains because I hate waking up to sunlight, a comfy bed that actually feels like a hotel bed, and enough space so I don't feel cramped after a long day. And if I'm booking with my girlfriends, it's a whole different checklist. We're looking for a place with room to spread out, somewhere close to restaurants and the latest nightclubs, and honestly, just a stay that fits everyone's vibe without compromise. That's why I love that if I can find my perfect stay on Booking.com, anyone can. Find exactly what you're booking for.

1:18Josh Welch:So are we supposed to start the podcast? Ready? One, two, three. So patriots, gay triots, they triots, black triots, brown triots, and it is Lesbian Visibility Month. So the Les triots, I want to give a shout out to. We love all of the people we just mentioned. And if you were a triple trumper dump trucker, what can they do, pumps? Fuck off! Okay. We are joined in studio today by none other than my husband, Josh Welch.
1:55Caitlyn Jenner:Hi, ladies. Hello.
1:57Josh Welch:Let's give a round of applause for Josh. Yay. Let's start with our guest pumps. Josh, what have you had it with?
2:03Caitlyn Jenner:I want to first say before I get into my I've had it. Okay. Let's hear it. That I remember back in the day, there was a time when you guys would call me and say, Hey, Josh, in a pinch, we need a guest. We don't have anybody. And I would trot myself down to Jen's studio and be a guest. And now that we have this like mega star podcast, I'm still being asked to come back on. I think it's such a neat, awesome thing. I'm glad to be here. Pumps. I feel like the gang is back together. So, all right, let's jump in it.
2:35Josh Welch:All right, Josh, what have you had it with?
2:37Caitlyn Jenner:I've had it with, of course, everyone's going to say these large text groups, but I'm going to take it a little bit deeper. Okay. So, if you're on a text thread with about 15 or 20 people, and if they're not all using Apple phones, bear with me, some people are on non-Apple devices, you don't have the ability to leave the text thread without blocking every person in the thread. So trust me, I've been down this rabbit hole. I know what I'm talking about. I'm in this group with about 25, 30 fraternity brothers from Oklahoma State, many of whom I love dearly, many of whom I can't stand.
3:23Caitlyn Jenner:and they're going on and on about something from, you know, back in the day. And I'm thinking, okay, I need to mute this. And then I mute it, and then still I get the red dot, you know, every five minutes. And so I realize, okay, I'm not just going to be able to mute it. I'm going to have to leave this. So I go and I look for the leave this conversation or leave this thread option, and it simply doesn't exist. So then I have to AI this issue, And it tells me that if you're in a group with Apple phones, non-Apple devices, the only way to do that is you have to block the group, which in essence blocks every member of the group from calling you.
4:01Caitlyn Jenner:And so I'm thinking, God, that can't be right because there's about four or five keepers in this group of 30 that I just simply don't want to block. Yeah, out of 30, there's about four that are rock solid keepers that are diehards of mine from back in the day. So I make a calculated decision. I sit on it for about 24 hours, and the notifications keep coming. And finally, I reach a point where I say, look, these four or five, these diehards, I love those motherfuckers to pieces. Like we've been in the trenches before, DUIs in college, me going to rehab, all this stuff. But, man, I can't stay in this fucking group another day.
4:40Caitlyn Jenner:I can't do it. So I make a calculated decision to block all members, including my four or five ride or dies from the day. And you know what? After I did it, I felt pretty goddamn good about it. You know, I didn't have any remorse at all. And so to this day, I don't know if they've tried to reach out or not or if anybody's asking, hey, why the fuck can't I call you or text you, you know, directly? I have no idea if they have or haven't. That's the beauty of just having blocked them all.
5:07Josh Welch:And you don't know if anybody's died, heart attack, brain aneurysm.
5:10Caitlyn Jenner:No, back to that. I've had it though. I've had it that there's not an easier solution. Like again, I didn't want to have to cut the cord with those four, those five guys. I love them. But when faced with the alternative of getting these notifications and reading this content, I felt like I had no other choice. So if you're listening or watching this and we were asshole best friends back in the day and you've tried to call me and it appears that you're blocked, I'm so fucking sorry. This is why.
5:39Josh Welch:Can you go in individually and unblock the people that you like or no?
5:44Caitlyn Jenner:I think you can. I think you could take it that far. But then you have to do an autopsy. Right.
5:51Josh Welch:You have to go make a decision about each person.
5:54Caitlyn Jenner:Each person. And then some were saved and some weren't saved. And I just thought, I'm just not going to get into that. I'm just, yeah. And then there's a question as to whether or not it shows up as being blocked or not blocked. But it's no doubt that if you leave the group, you're in essence blocking everybody.
6:10Josh Welch:Do you think that when you blocked the group that it said, Josh Welch has blocked this group?
6:16Caitlyn Jenner:I don't think it tells them because I don't know. I don't know. But there's a handful that would want to text me personally, send me a text and say, one of them I went to a funeral for a family member for recently. So these are not just third-tier friends. These are like...
6:35Josh Welch:But the onslaught of the text, the group text, was so bad that you were willing to sever friendships to get out of the group text.
6:44Caitlyn Jenner:The content and, look, I'm one that will beat a dead horse and tell a story from 1988, like ad nauseum. Don't get me wrong. I'll jump in that camp and tell some story about how I had a one-handed catch and we beat Idabel. They were ranked number one in the state. I talked that shit all day long. But this was just going on and on and on and on over shit that I just simply wasn't interested in.
7:07Josh Welch:Why don't you elaborate about the one-handed catch?
7:09Caitlyn Jenner:Well, it was against Idabel, and they were ranked number one in the state. And I was second team All-State that year. This would have been 1987. The Cure was my favorite band. Jesus and Mary Chain released their first album two years before. So anyway, I had a one-handed catch. It was on video. Back in my day in Hugo, they would replay the Friday night game on Saturday on the local cable channel.
7:33Josh Welch:Oh, nice.
7:33Caitlyn Jenner:And so we would all gather around and we'd say, okay, the play's coming. It's coming. And this is the next day. They would play it. So we would all gather around and I would see like I stuck this one arm out like this. I don't know if you're not watching. You can't see this amazing thing. But stuck this one arm and just reeled it in, kind of like a Travis Kelsey tie. I have a question.
7:52Josh Welch:I heard at a later date that you said that you were on ecstasy when you made this one-handed catch.
7:58Caitlyn Jenner:Yeah, can we say that? I guess the statualization is just running that. Can we say that? I took drugs before that game. I did.
8:06Josh Welch:And you still, despite tripping on ecstasy on Molly, you caught a one-handed.
8:12Caitlyn Jenner:I think it enhanced my performance. I think that's why I'm such a believer in psychedelics for recovery. Yeah, I did. But as a senior in high school, hate to admit that I did take ecstasy before a football game.
8:25Josh Welch:Okay, Josh, let me ask you this. Were you also Allstate in tennis?
8:31Caitlyn Jenner:Yeah, and that sort of brings up another topic. And I used to carry this newspaper clip in my car with me all the time. But I won the most valuable athlete award for Hugo High School in 1987. There's a picture of me on the front page. and I'm accepting this trophy, this gigantic trophy with the coaches. And it was for my performance in tennis and football, both.
8:53Josh Welch:Oh my gosh, I'd love to get my hands on that.
8:55Caitlyn Jenner:There's a little bit of a funny story for that too. My parents weren't there that night when I won this award because the night before I'd been pulled over by a highway patrolman and they had made me pour out all this beer in my car and my dad was so mad at me. So I had to accept this gigantic trophy solo alone. It's a little bit of history.
9:13Josh Welch:Oh, I'm sorry that you didn't have an audience. I deserved it. Yeah, I would sure love to see a photo, though. I would love to see that photo if Kylie can dig it up.
9:23Caitlyn Jenner:No, I've got one. I've got it on my phone.
9:28Caitlyn Jenner:I'll send it immediately.
9:30Josh Welch:It's in the photo album. Since Josh has been in New York, we go to the hair salon to get haircuts. And I'm over with my gal getting my hair colored. And Josh is over there with Vincent. And I hear him pull out his phone and he's like, oh, Vincent, I've added some new images to the photo album. Because listener, he has a hair inspiration album in his phone. And who all is in the...
10:01Caitlyn Jenner:So there's a picture of me when I had a really good cut that I wanted to record. Memorialize. Memorialize in the album. Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, Tom Brady. The guy recently from Succession that played the brother, and I don't know his name. Jeremy Strong, Kendall Roy. I think Kendall. He had a really tight cut that I saw on Instagram, screenshotted.
10:30Josh Welch:What about Harry Styles?
Read the full transcript
10:31Caitlyn Jenner:Yeah, Harry Styles. He recently had a little bit of a kind of a mullet cut that I wanted to mimic. So anyway, Jennifer overheard me giving the style as kind of the history of like I initially wanted kind of the Brad Pitt cut to grow it out. But then I wanted to blend it into this new Harry Styles look where he has this kind of ruffles on the side and a little bit of a mullet. I thought it looked amazing. The point is Jennifer is listening going, are you fucking kidding me?
10:56Josh Welch:Which is kind of how I feel right now. Pumps, what have you had it with? okay what i've had it with is airlines that sit and lie to your face because my son it was a whole flight bamfoozled the crew wasn't there so then on their app it says i'm sorry we don't have a crew for this flight but we value your time i'm like bullshit bullshit you don't value our time because if you valued our time you would schedule sucking pilots that shit would be tight yeah right
11:28Caitlyn Jenner:Right.
11:28Josh Welch:It's a gaslighting. It's fucking gaslighters. Oklahoma City sucks. We're not sending planes there if we don't have enough pilots. But do not just – and you know what? Then they sent me a survey, which was not good for them because you got to love a survey. So I was like, I love your app. I like the flight times. But you telling me that you value my time when you don't schedule a crew is insulting to me.
11:56Caitlyn Jenner:You should just say, listen, say that you value me some of the time. Some of the time. But when you're in Oklahoma City and we're busy and we got shit going on, we don't value you all that much. Just be honest.
12:07Josh Welch:Or just how about we value your money, but fuck you, you can't get any money back thanks to the Trump administration. So go fuck yourself. That I would at least appreciate the honesty. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Let me tell you guys what I've had it with. So I've noticed when I go to throw something away on the street in New York, they have trash cans pretty much on every corner, which I totally appreciate because there are certain cities that are very stingy with trash cans, not New York. And so when I go to the trash can, oftentimes I have a poop bag because unlike Kylie, I pick up when my dog poops, I immediately swoop it up, right?
12:41Josh Welch:Because I'm a good citizen. Kylie doesn't do it. Kylie does not. Oh, wow. Yeah, no. She leaves her dog's poop on the street. She admitted that. But nonetheless. So I have this poop bag and then I walk over to the trash can and on the trash can it says, please don't litter. And I'm like, I'm fucking not littering. How about thank you for throwing your litter away? But it's like, it's misidentified. It's like such a New York thing. Please don't litter. And I'm like, the nerve. I actually am not. I'm actually bringing this to the trash can.
13:11Caitlyn Jenner:Right. The only way you would see the don't litter sign is if you're not littering. Yeah. Yeah.
13:16Josh Welch:So I want to bring this to Mayor Mom Donnie's attention. And Mr. Mayor, my husband and I are both wearing shirts from the DSA. Mine says, I'm rich. Tax me. Josh is a member of the Anti-Billionaire Socialist Club. Whoops. Over there. Yeah. Because we wholeheartedly believe that Kathy Hochul needs to raise the taxes on the billionaire bedwetters. The billionaire bedwetters that are like, oh, my God, I'll never notice this missing money if I have to pay more in taxes. So I'm going to fight hard for that. But I need a little bit of – it doesn't cost too much money. These aggressive accusatory messages on the city trash cans.
14:03Josh Welch:Please don't litter. I'm not littering.
14:05Caitlyn Jenner:It's just a typical New York thing. Instead of just giving you – kind of embracing what you're doing, giving you a hug, it just has a little bit of a bite to it. Kind of a fuck you to it.
14:14Josh Welch:Please don't litter. I'm like, I'm not. Fucking trash can. Who's littering? I'm not littering. You are. I know you are, but what am I? All right. Welcome to I've Had It. I'm Jennifer. I'm Angie.
14:26Caitlyn Jenner:And I'm Josh.
14:28Josh Welch:Now you should say, and I'm an alcoholic.
14:32Caitlyn Jenner:I always like drug addict better for some reason. Addict has a little more bite to it.
14:37Josh Welch:You think it gives you more street cred as a person in recovery?
14:40Caitlyn Jenner:You think alcoholic, you think 85, you're at home, you're drinking whiskey. I want to be a little racier than that. That's true. I don't know if it's opiates or crack.
14:49Josh Welch:You earned it. Yeah. You earned that title, baby. All right. In light of Lesbian Visibility Week, I would like to have Kylie come on. Here we are making lesbians visible. Really? Here is a visible lesbian.
15:08Caitlyn Jenner:Look at the glow on that gal.
15:09Josh Welch:That is a glowing, visible lesbian. Very visible. And what we want to do, Kylie, in Pumps. So Josh is in New York for the week, and he has subbed in on iHip News. He's our guest today. And I believe that we have some comments in the comment section from Josh's most recent performance here on our channel.
15:31Caitlyn Jenner:I hope these are good. I mean, you know what a pussy I am about these comments.
15:36Josh Welch:Well, I found out he's probably likely already read all of these.
15:40Caitlyn Jenner:I'd be shocked if he hasn't. All right. At least the good ones, right?
15:45Josh Welch:Here's the first one. This is from Panboy. And he says, Josh is back. Skin, moisturized, hair, coiffed, mind sharper than ever. God, Panboy. That's exactly right. I love Panboy. Panboy actually lives in Paris.
15:58Caitlyn Jenner:Is Panboy a female or a male?
16:00Josh Welch:Male.
16:01Caitlyn Jenner:Panboy, I love you. Thank you.
16:03Josh Welch:Uh-huh. Okay. And then this one says, OMG, your guest looks ill. Something is terribly wrong with him. JK, JK, Josh messing with you. You're probably fine.
16:15Caitlyn Jenner:Probably. Probably. I don't know. I think there's sufficient grounds to be concerned about me. I might agree with her.
16:24Josh Welch:Okay. And then the next one we've got here says, every time we get a little Josh, I'm reminded of how extremely good looking he is. Dang. Nine out of 10. I highly recommend. Sorry, Jen.
16:34Caitlyn Jenner:Just Chuck. I damn it. You're hitting right buttons here, baby.
16:39Josh Welch:Just Chuck official. I have to go home with this narcissist. Yeah.
16:43Caitlyn Jenner:I like it. Just Chuck. All right.
16:45Josh Welch:One last one. It says, nice to see sexy Josh back, but why no shorts? Great podcast as always. And in case people are new here, I just wanted to remind them. I think this is what they're referring to in the past. Yeah.
17:00Caitlyn Jenner:I want to talk about this setup hit job that you guys did on me too. because Jennifer and I go and work out. She doesn't tell me anything about what we're doing and says, oh, by the way, we're filming. And I say, are my shorts going to show up in this? And he goes, oh, no, no, you're fine. And so then we film and then the next day I see the comments and like every other one is, what the fuck is it? Who is this guy and what's he wearing? It's like, God damn it.
17:28Josh Welch:I actually have one more visual here for everybody. Yeah, no. Kylie set up a live feed short cam. There he is. I'm going to put my hand on it. I like the high socks with the short shorts. Well, I mean. It's so dorky. He wears these compression socks. No, I know. I'm being facetious. Let me tell you. Kylie, too bad you can't get in the bowels of when Josh and Jennifer won the pickleball tournament and he had on the shorty shorts. It looked like panties. The camera was front on. Yes. And he was spread eagle. And it looked like he had on the shorty shorts. And I'm going to be like, why does he not want to show up?
18:05Caitlyn Jenner:Well, see, I alluded to that kind of stuff earlier. That's back in the day when y 'all would literally give me three minutes notice and say, hey, get your ass down here. And so I'd just show up thinking, okay, what are we going to do? And then we filmed something and I look like a fucking moron.
18:19Josh Welch:Oh, Josh, if you weren't such an adorable person, we couldn't tease you like we do.
18:24Caitlyn Jenner:Oh, Pumps, you're so sweet.

22:37Josh Welch:I have some news stories I want to share with everybody. So the Tennessee governor, his name is Billy, and he is designating June as nuclear family month, primarily because he's a fucking prick. That's why, because this guy is a prick. Let's pop up the first slide. Tennessee governor renames Pride Month Nuclear Family Month. And what I would like to see is Governor Bill Lee's search history. Absolutely. And I would like to have those nodules hooked up to Governor Lee's cock and play porn for him, a variety of it, Gay porn, trans porn, you know, girl porn, all the porns, and see what kind of reaction we have.
23:25Josh Welch:Because I'm thinking it's not Mormon panty missionary. That's what I think. All right, go to the next slide. Tennessee has declared June Nuclear Family Month, prompting criticism from the LGBTQ plus advocates who view the move as opposing Pride Month. Republican Governor Bill Lee signed the resolution on April 9th after it passed the state legislature. What a bunch of assholes. The measure defines a nuclear family as one husband, one wife, and any biological adopted or fostered children. Next up. It describes that model as aligned with Tennessee's traditional values and God's perfect design for humanity.
24:09Josh Welch:The resolution is symbolic and does not carry legal force. LGBTQ plus residents can still celebrate pride and display related flags. Critics, including GLAAD, which we love GLAAD, argue that the resolution is an attempt to diminish the LGBTQ plus community and highlight the diversity of modern family structures. And here's what I want to say. 12 times out of 10 anytime politicians say that they are for traditional family and they support family that is a red flag because it's not something you have to say everybody's pro-family when they use the moniker or the adjective traditional they're using that to be bigoted this is hate legislation targeted to demean and shame the lgbtq plus community so my message for all of the Americans, particularly white women, that enjoy all of the multiculturalism of your gay hairdresser, your gay trainer, your gay physician, that enjoy all that shit, gay fashion, Bravo television.
25:20Josh Welch:And then you go out and triple Trump, you're voting for hate, and you're a goddamn hypocrite. And I've had it.
25:26Caitlyn Jenner:I couldn't agree more. And I'll say this, Back in the day in Oklahoma, whenever someone told me, hey, he comes from a good family or he's a good family man, I would say to myself, okay, my kids can't spend the night over at their kids' house. That's the first thing that tells me these people are fucked up. Okay, otherwise you wouldn't have to say that. And back to that Tennessee nuclear family month, I wonder how many people get divorced these days? 48%. I think nationally. Okay. So then we can shave that number for those dumb fucks in Tennessee in half. So because they've all been married, they've now been divorced.
26:08Caitlyn Jenner:So is that traditional? Yeah.
26:11Josh Welch:There's a great question. Do you get to like, does Christy Noem include Corey Lewandowski in her photo? And is Brian wearing his balloon? Interesting. Hang on. Interesting. you just brought up big titty, Brian, because our producers have dug up an image of the first prick of the state of Tennessee. Of course, I'm referring to Governor Bill Lee in drag. Pop this up. There is Billy in drag in high school. As governor, he signed the Adult Entertainment Act banning public drag performances, making a first offense, a misdemeanor, and a second a felony. I don't know what kind of pussy, if you have to rate pussies on a scale of zero to 10, if you claim to be a man, a family man, traditional man, American values man, and you are triggered and scared of gay people and drag queens on the pussy scale, how big of a pussy is that?
27:07Josh Welch:20?
27:08Caitlyn Jenner:Yeah, at least a 12, 13 on a 1 to 10.
27:11Josh Welch:Yeah. I mean, you're a straight man.
27:14Caitlyn Jenner:Yeah, you don't even have to say that kind of bullshit. And what's worse is that these guys hide behind this myth of how they live their life. This myth. Like all these people celebrating this kind of bullshit are all cheating on their wives. They're all living this life that is full of, according to them, sin, lying, whatever it is. and condemning people, the gay community, for just simply being who they are, that don't do anything to anyone other than just show up and be who they are. And it's really disgusting. Guys like that, I mean, it's just really disgusting.
27:55Josh Welch:Yeah. It's insecure. So they want people to believe that there's something, that they're trying to convince themselves that they are. Right. when in reality they're the furthest thing away from it. Are you talking about straight? Is that what you're talking about? Well, no, I'm just talking about people that have to put other people down. I was making a joke. Yeah, sorry. That was being cheeky.
28:20Caitlyn Jenner:And what you do is you just live this life by example. You don't have proclamations to say, hey, we're going to fucking celebrate this. You just live it by example. Be a good person. Be a good human being. Respect other people. Be kind. Hate it. Okay.
28:37Josh Welch:Speaking of Tennessee, we have Marsha Blackburn. She's a senator. Yeah, she's a total C-U-N-T. And now she is running for governor. And she has been cheering on Bill Lee's homophobia. Pop this up. Here's Senator Marsha Blackburn. Bravo, Tennessee. The nuclear family is under attack and the volunteer state is fighting back. What attack are these people talking about? What are they talking about? What attack is it? Like, if you do not like drag shows, do not go to the drag show. You don't like drag queen story hour. Do not go to the story hour. You don't like gay sex. Do not have gay sex. You don't like gay hookups.
29:23Josh Welch:Do not get on Grindr. There is no agenda. There is no attack. This is delusional shit that makes me think me lady doth protest too much. Like what are they talking about?
29:38Caitlyn Jenner:They have to have a boogeyman. They have to have this boogeyman. And it's just a straw figure. Like there's no issue here. There's no – they're not under attack. Nobody's trying to take anything from them.
29:52Josh Welch:Well, speaking of attack, Martha, Marsha, Marsha Blackburn, whatever the fuck her name is, Marsha Blackburn voted against the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. So women getting attacked. She voted against that in 2013 because it expanded to include LGBTQ +, Native American, and undocumented victims of domestic violence. She also voted against fair pay for women and is a climate change denier. And so I just want to say this. We're beating up on Tennessee a little bit right now. Listen, we beat up on all the red states. We're from red states. So all of those blue dots in Tennessee, we see you and we know that you are more disgusted about this shit than anybody.
30:40Josh Welch:But this bullshit that MAGA Republicans are pro-family, pro-child, pro-business is the biggest lie. These people are an anti-family death cult that enable pedophilia and participate in pedophilia and are consumed with the genitalia and the sex lives of others. MAGA is an anti-family death cult, say it over and over and over again.
31:10Caitlyn Jenner:Let me add one thing to places like Tennessee and Oklahoma where we live. If you don't like what's going on in your neighborhood, if you don't like what's happening with your politics, look around. It's all fucking Republicans that control it in the state legislature, your state senators, your U.S. senators, your governor, where we live. You're not under attack. You run everything. How the fuck are you under attack? Like you control every part of government, every facet. You're shoving Bibles up people's asses at schools. Like, you're not being attacked. And so it's just a false argument. It's just bullshit.
31:51Josh Welch:I wish that people in these red states and Republicans, particularly MAGA Republicans, were as worried about elite white men in a pedophile ring trafficking and sexually abusing little girls. I wish they would put all the energy that they go against drag time story hour or, you know.
32:18Caitlyn Jenner:A thousand percent pumps.
32:19Josh Welch:It's just like, where are you putting your energy? You're fine for kids to be raped and sexually abused. You're fine with that. But the nuclear families under attack, shut the fuck up.
32:32Caitlyn Jenner:Right.
32:32Josh Welch:And then right now for Marsha Blackburn to have sent that tweet out recently to Josh's point. Not only does Tennessee have a Republican supermajority statewide, but federally right now, there is a Republican supermajority, a Supreme Court stacked against everybody and a bunch of oligarchs that are such pussies. They make participation trophies and take it to the president and present them to them and bend over. And I'm like, what's the point of even being rich if you have to go kiss this guy's ass? So these people have everything they want, especially Marsha Blackburn. She's a majority in the Senate.
33:12Josh Welch:She's got little Moses Mike Grinder Johnson in the House that will not do shit unless Trump tells him to do it. She's got Trump, J.D. Vance, all of the assholes at the Supreme Court, and then all of the oligarchs that have bent the knee. And these people are still miserable, hysterical nutjobs, and they control everything. And they're such pussies and they're such cowards. They still claim we are under attack. Who is attacking you, Marsha? It looks like a goddamn bird attacked your hair the last time I checked. Carly, get a picture of her hair up on here. It's unbelievable.
33:51Caitlyn Jenner:I keep wanting to say Marsha, Marsha. Marsha, Marsha, Marsha.
33:55Josh Welch:Look at this hair. The only thing under attack is this woman's hair. And I would argue that she could use a little LGBTQ plus hairdresser. And her life, because there is, this is a huge argument against heterosexual hair design. Let me just say that. Look at that. Ouch. Oh, my gosh. Look at that. I mean, look at that. I mean, yeah, Marcia, you're under attack. You're under attack by straight people. Yeah. That's straight on straight crime, sis. Yeah. Yeah. That is. Or if it is a gay person. That was beautiful. Well done. Very well done. Very well done. Diabolical. Okay. Moving along to Caitlyn Jenner.
34:41Josh Welch:Caitlyn Jenner, as everybody knows, is a trans woman and MAGA. And everybody knows that we just heard from Marsha Blackburn. Marsha's under attack by trans people, right? So here's Caitlyn Jenner, who I think she thought that it was a good idea to be MAGA, right? So now she is shocked as shit that the transphobic rules that the Trump regime has passed and basically what they have done is if you're a trans man or woman, you typically, because Caitlyn presents female, she's transitioned to a female. So she wants her passport to say F for female when she travels. Trump, Marco Rubio, Smokey Eye Sociopath, J.D.
35:27Josh Welch:Vance. it's got to be what's ever on your birth certificate so kaitlin jenner gets her passport back and it is changed back to mail mail and she's having a stage five meltdown pop this up kaitlin jenner says her passport came back marked mail under trump's gender policy she's reaching out for help okay let's play the video for i had to get it renewed I send it back comes back gender marker M screws everything up so there's a form in there if they made a mistake you can correct it so I fill out all the proper forms I'm not calling anybody I'm not calling the president and I got his personal cell number I'm not calling anybody I'm gonna see if I can fix this myself.
36:23Josh Welch:Because it's not just about me, it's about all people in this situation. Hmm. What a lot. So I even sent a hard copy of my birth certificate. Caitlyn Marie Jenner. Gender, sex, female. I did everything. And they sent it back M. They didn't change it at all. So now I'm in a position, Tommy, that what do I do? Right. What do you do? This is a safety factor. OK, I can't travel internationally anymore. OK, I can't use my passport. I can use global entry. It says F. I can do this. I can travel in the United States. License, you know, driver's license. I've heard enough. Here's what you do, Caitlin.
37:09Josh Welch:You quit supporting bigots and you quit supporting Trump and you atone for your own internalized bigotry and then be a champion for trans people everywhere because you're not the special magic trans person as you just found out that MAGA is going to make a caveat or an excuse for. The cruelty that you just received, that dehumanization that you received from the Trump regime and changing your gender back to your passport, despite triple Trumping, despite humiliating yourself on the national stage. That's just the tip of the iceberg, baby girl. They have so much more in store for you. It's unbelievable.
37:57Josh Welch:This is just wild. And so just to give you all a little backdrop on this, his first day in office, Donald Trump, he signed an executive order directing federal agencies to recognize only biological sex at birth. The State Department immediately stopped processing gender marker changes and eliminated the X option. In that interview, Jenner is giving an interview to Tommy Lahren. Tommy Lahren has said that trans people, quote, have a psychological condition that would make the military less effective and repeatedly defended Trump's trans military ban. And I just want to say there are so many wonderful trans military members.
38:40Josh Welch:And this is just cruelty for the point of being cruel. And so this is what she's finding out. Tommy Lahren also, she called gender identity in schools radical LGBTQ plus grooming. And so here we have Caitlyn Jenner going into the belly of the beast. What does she think? Tommy Lahren's, everyone's going to go, oh, my God, we're for trans rights now. Let's reverse the passport thing.
39:09Caitlyn Jenner:I'm going to go on a limb here and say that Caitlyn Jenner isn't very smart. And I certainly don't follow her or anything that she does or I know who she is. But you read that clip and you see a little bit of this and it really is just jaw dropping at how ill informed or how I don't want to use an improper word, but how ignorant she is. And then it makes you think that that's why a lot of these people vote against their interests because they're so ill-informed or they're so ignorant. And I say those words politely or as polite as you can. But how else do you explain that? How else do you explain choosing to go on this particular podcast with this particular message?
39:58Caitlyn Jenner:You know, it's just something I don't know. I mean, I'm not the sharpest stick ever, but goddamn, she makes me look like Einstein.
40:04Josh Welch:Yeah, well, I think it's entitlement. And she believes that it's okay for others not to have rights. She can go down and party at Mar-a-Lago. I think she takes her partner with her and they take pictures and you see this, but she's special. She doesn't have to worry about all of the bigotry and hate being spread by this regime. She's special. You heard her say, I have Trump's personal cell phone number.
40:31Caitlyn Jenner:And there's a component to that, too, Pumps, I think, that you touch on, that a lot of the trans communities suffer financially, too. Yes. Like, Caitlyn Jenner's never suffered anything financially. And that changes your whole landscape when you don't have resources and you don't have money and you're suffering this hate and discrimination. It's a game changer. It makes it totally different. And so she is. She's a privileged woman who's never had to embrace the discomfort associated with the way trans people are being treated in this country. And so I think you hit it.
41:07Josh Welch:I just I can't. And, you know, she says, well, I can still work on my driver's license. Kansas now is not allowing driver's license like it's happening. It started federally, but the shit rolls downhill and it's rolling downhill. And for her to say that she's not safe, but yet she can't apply that to other trans people, it makes me want to scream. Nobody's safe under this regime.
41:32Caitlyn Jenner:Can you imagine if you're 16 years old in rural Oklahoma in a town of 2 ,000 people and you're trans? I mean, how do you feel? And to not, if you're a trans person like she is with the means and resources that she has, that you don't feel a certain level of empathy for those people. like an obligation to help them because you know what it feels like on a smaller scale.
41:55Josh Welch:I mean, it's a real testament to the moral rot that MAGA is. And I just think it's really important to notice right now. Rahm Emanuel was on Bill Maher last weekend. And Rahm Emanuel did that same shtick that he did when he was on our podcast. You know, the Democrats are really good in the we weren't good at the kitchen table issues. We weren't good in the living room. The only issue we talked about was the bathroom, that hole where Rahm Emanuel thinks he's going to be the savior of the Democratic Party. And as long as we don't talk about trans people or marginalized people, then we're going to win elections.
42:35Josh Welch:And I just think this is so idiotic of Rahm Emanuel and a lot of other Democrats. Because number one, the people who talk about culture wars the most, we've made the case that Marsha Blackburn is under attack. Right. Despite them controlling fucking everything. The ads that were most effective and that I believe the hate group spent, I think,$200 million, something insane. Don't quote me on that. But it was the anti-trans ad. Trump, Kamala is for they, them. Trump is for you. So it's the right wing that is constantly marginalizing trans people. So then you think, OK, so why are they doing this?
43:16Josh Welch:Why? Well, gay rights, gay marriage has accelerated at such a rate in our lifetime that we remember when it was completely illegal. Hell, Obama ran for president in 08 against gay marriage. And then Joe Biden, the vice president, trotted out that he supported it. And it moved super quickly. So everybody has kind of moved on the gay issue. So then they have to move the goalposts back and pick on the most marginalized, less than 1 % of the population. And I want every trans person to know that there are people in this country that are fighting for you, that see you, and we know what they're doing.
43:56Josh Welch:We know they are using you. and what I believe is your beautiful uniqueness in a way to shame you and be disparaging about you. And then once they have a majority that they think hate you enough, then they're going to start moving the goalposts. Because if we leave one group behind, then we leave everybody behind. And so any democratic politician that's quick to throw trans people under the bus, they are a liar, a snake in the grass, and not a very smart student of history is all I have to say. You cannot allow for a marginalized group to be scapegoated. And we as, you know, Democratic voters in a Democratic party have to defend the most marginalized people against us.
44:44Josh Welch:And it's not, here's what I have to say. Nobody fucking wakes up in rural dumb fuck Tennessee or Oklahoma and says, you know what? I want to fuck with my religious family today, and I want to fuck with all the people at my church, and I'm going to go play tennis at high school, and then I'm going to be a D1 athlete, and I'm going to game the system, and I'm going to win Wimbledon. That does not fucking happen. It doesn't exist. This is not a choice. You need to meet people where they are and embrace them and love them. And I just, Caitlyn Jenner is horrific. And you know, when she goes to Mar-a-Lago, you know, she uses the women's restroom.
45:25Josh Welch:Of course she does. Yeah. And there's a couple of other trans MAGA trans influencers too. I've seen, I just, I don't understand it. And I have to say, because I have a stone cold heart, when I saw that this was happening to her, as much as I hate it for other innocent people that all they want to do is be loved and be happy and just have what everybody else has. When I saw she, she was outraged about this. You loved it for her. I loved it for her. I just thought, you know, nobody deserves this more than you, Caitlin. You can prance around at Mar-a-Lago and you can have your head up Donald Trump's ass, but now you can't travel outside the United States.
46:09Josh Welch:And you know what I have to say about that? Fucking good.
46:16Caitlyn Jenner:Yeah, you're kind of torn. I know.
46:18Josh Welch:And my immediate thought was, oh, I hate that. And then I thought, but I like that it's happening to her.
46:25Caitlyn Jenner:And really for me, it's just how can you be that so self-absorbed that you don't understand how other trans people without the resources and means that you have, the struggles that they're going through. How can you not see that with just this one little sprinkle of a problem that you have in California in your multimillion dollar mansion? How do you not want to reach out and help someone that grows up in a much different environment where it's much more toxic, where you wake up every day and hate is spewed at you simply because you're different, because you are different, not because you chose to be different, but because you are different.
47:10Caitlyn Jenner:I don't understand that. And to Jennifer's point and you two pumps, I think we all think that it's an obligation on our part. It's not optional. It's not discretionary. It's an obligation on our part to stand up for marginalized groups of people. It's what I do in my work as a criminal defense lawyer all day. And I think I admire both you and Jennifer for day in, day out protecting this community because I know that they need it and they need a voice and fierce advocates like both of you. So I commend you both.
47:45Josh Welch:Well, thank you. And I would just say, having been super, from my personal life, when I was rolling around and super Christian and all that, other people's problems didn't apply to me. I was so entitled. I was so narcissistic. I thought I was so personally special that nobody else's problems affected me because I'm special and I'm better and, you know, all the things that go with that. And then when that light bulb goes on and that peels away and you realize, I mean, you just, for me, it's like, I have to not, you can't erase the wrong, but I have to make amends. You have to atone. You have to make amends for that.
48:34Josh Welch:And so, Caitlyn Jenner, it is time for you to be an upstanding person that speaks out about this. I don't think she's going to. I don't think that's going to happen because we also can throw in sociopathy and psychopathy. And just because you're trans doesn't mean you can't fall prey to that type of issue. And clearly there's something deeply, deeply wrong with Caitlyn Jenner. All right. I'm all about trying to make smarter choices when shopping for clothes. I find myself scrolling at night out of boredom and actually needing new outfits to wear for the podcast, et cetera. And I end up with a shopping cart full of nothing, nothing that fits, nothing that feels right and a bunch of returns to do.
49:23Josh Welch:That's why I've abandoned that strategy entirely and signed up for Stitch Fix. Stitch Fix makes it so much easier. 52:56Josh Welch:This is an article, and it's Inside the Lonely World of MAGA Gay Men. Pop this up. This is via Uncloseted by the Gay Times Magazine. In a time when gay rights are under attack in the U.S., a minority of gay American men are still staunch Trump supporters. Why? So basically this article goes through. Here's Evan. He was devastated about having to tell his boyfriend. He voted for Trump. And as you can see on the screen here, he called. He was nervous. And then his boyfriend called him a racist and a white supremacist. Evan is 21 years old. Also, it notes that 83 % of queer men typically vote Democrat.
53:41Josh Welch:And they do that because Democrats are a lot more inclusive and promote equality. And the Trump regime has increased all sorts of anti-LGBTQ plus hate legislation. Move along. People think that I hate myself, says Evan, for being gay or that I'm a gay traitor. And then there's Nick Duncan. He's 43. He can relate to Evan's fears. I mostly get hatred. I never lost a conservative friend because I'm gay. But I lost all my gay friends because I'm conservative, says Duncan. And then Chris Doan, he's 56. Voting Republican is the only choice that makes sense for him. He believes voting for a Democrat goes directly against his interests as a queer man.
54:26Josh Welch:This is pretty interesting. Conservatives don't want to murder gays. They want them saved, he says. Muslims vote Democrat because if the Democrats win, they get to stay in the U.S. They get to take power and they will murder gays brutally, blah, blah. So my point in bringing all of this up is that with Caitlyn Jenner, with these gay men here, with Clarence Thomas, with some of the Latinos for Trump, there is a political ideology that they do not value universal human rights. they like the idea of being a marginalized group and probably hate that about themselves for some whatever reason and they feel like if they can pile on and bully with the patriarchy then it satisfies something in this in the case of the guy that the last gay guy there that was like the muslims and all that he clearly was just raised by a bunch of racists right you know and that can happen to gay people lesbians i mean nobody everybody can fall prey to this shit
55:36Caitlyn Jenner:But what seems to be missing is just the smallest element of common sense. I mean, I'm not trying to paint this in an intellectual, you know, rhyme, but it's just seriously. And it would welcome embracing some of these issues or having a conversation with some of these people. But I didn't see anywhere in those four or five slides where there was a valid reason for why they voted Republican instead of Democrat. Other than I think there was a mention that the Democrats are going to murder them, murder them. Yeah. Which is just completely irrational.
56:16Josh Welch:Which the Republicans actually murdered Renee Good, you know, a lesbian mother of three kids with her black lab in the back of the car. And then after the ICE agent shot her, he said, what did he say, fucking bitch? Isn't that what he said to her? Yeah. Yeah. And so this, you know, as frustrating as that is, this shows you that you have to provide allyship to these groups, whether it be black people and stand really strongly against anti-black racism, white people like us calling out racists in our lives. everything of research points to that on a person-to-person way. Calling out homophobia, you know, drawing the line with, you know, you're a homophobe and that community's under attack and I really don't share values with you and I don't want to do anything with you anymore.
57:18Josh Welch:It's just, that's what it's going to take to stand up for this community, these communities, because that's how under attack they are, in my opinion. No, I agree. And I think one, I think one to one, just from my perspective, Jennifer, in our relationship and going through, you know, like talking about what I believed, okay, you know, Moses parted the Red Sea, all that. And you ask factual questions. I think when you present the facts to someone, it requires them to think about it, whether they admit they're thinking about it or whether, so you have to, it's like a thousand little paper cuts, at least it was for me, point something out and just how, you know, that was racist.
58:01Josh Welch:I don't appreciate, you know, on and on until you just say I'm out. And it makes people think, at least that's my perspective. Well, and it also, you can't normalize bigotry. Bigots are always looking for a permission structure to be able to be a bigot in peace. Caitlyn Jenner wants to be a bigot towards, bizarrely, the LGBTQ plus community. And she thought that, okay, I like this. I like beating up on all these woke LGBTQ plus people and I'm Trump's magic trans woman and he's gonna make it a carve out for me. And that's just not how it works. And it goes to Josh's larger point. There's an ignorant stupidity factor to this as well.
58:46Josh Welch:You know, like lacking self-awareness observational skills.
58:51Caitlyn Jenner:There are. And we run into that and also in rural areas where I think some people are well intended, but they're not very educated or they haven't been subjected to a lot of different cultures and different types of people. And so if I say someone is ignorant, I don't necessarily mean that in a derogatory way, but there's a lot of, you know. I do. You do. I'm not as informed on certain things as other people. But the one thing I do agree with, with both of you, is when it does come to racism and marginalized groups, I think it's smart to be very unapologetic about having their backs and calling it out and normalizing that.
59:35And sometimes when you do that, it requires you to get down in the mud with these motherfuckers, for lack of a better word, and sling it with them.
59:46Caitlyn Jenner:And whether that's good, whether that's bad, you're doing it because you're protecting a group of people that not very many people have the courage to stand up for. And that makes it right, in my opinion.
1:00:00Josh Welch:Yeah, no one is a better defender and confronter. No one is a better confronter of racism than Josh Welch. I mean, he just absolutely positively will call out a racist bigot immediately. And if he thinks somebody's a racist, if they even kind of look like a racist, he's like, they're not allowed in our house. when Colin Kaepernick was treated like shit by the NFL. Josh was so outraged. He comes to me and he's like, I'm banning the NFL in the house. I don't want you watching the NFL. I'm like, I'm going to sneak off and watch Dallas Cowboys or something, you know, like whatever. But it enraged him for years, the way Colin Kaepernick was treated.
1:00:40Josh Welch:And there's the worst part of racism, the worst part of homophobia, the worst part of transphobia are the people that allow the racists and the bigots in their life to operate with impunity. That's the worst part. Because if you go to Josh's point, the racist or the transphobe or the homophobe is ignorant to their racism. So the person who knows it's racist, who knows how dangerous it is, who knows how bigoted it is, that doesn't call it out, that's the worst. That is the worst, most dangerous part of racism, the people that allow it, that know better. Those are racist enablers. And I think that's far worse than the people who live out in the trailer park in rural Oklahoma or rural Tennessee that have been served up this.
1:01:28Josh Welch:Here's your scapegoat. Here's the people you hate. Here's why you can't have nice things. Here's why your wages never go up. Here's why you can't have health care. The people who know better are the worst perpetuators of racism, in my opinion.
1:01:41Caitlyn Jenner:That's right. And I will say this, at many of your shows, you've had maybe a trans child and a parent that's come up to each of you. And then you hear these stories about how the parent has had to think about things differently and evolve because of their child. And a lot of these people are in smaller, more rural communities and more traditional states or conservative states. And so good for those people. Good for those people for seeing things. I'm sorry that it took maybe your child to be trans for you to understand this, but welcome. We embrace you. Thank you for your support. But you see that a lot.
1:02:22Caitlyn Jenner:And it's your shows, both of your shows. You have kids that come up all the time and thank both of you for what you do and how much it means to people. So don't ever forget that. I know both of you won't because you take it so seriously, but it's such an important thing that you do. And I see it day in and day out when I'm with Jennifer. So thanks for having me.
1:02:44Josh Welch:All right. I think that is all we have for today, Josh. Thank you for guesting. He's here all week. We'll probably squeeze another episode out of him.
