In short
Jack Maysaphy Hour episode 571 mixes comedy and life updates, including a Crohn’s/ulcerative colitis ad for Tremphaya, a flooded-house disaster caused by a left-running upstairs tap, a school sports day story (including a “parents race” man in a running vest with bone-conducting headphones), and Jack’s karate progress.
Guests
Robbie Knox and Stevie White (both regular co-hosts/legends on the show).
Guest backgrounds
Robbie Knox and Stevie White are long-time podcast guests/co-hosts; the episode frames them as “legends” and focuses on their banter with Jack rather than formal bios.
Key claims
Jack says his house flooded after he “cocooned” Fiona, left a tap running, and water spread through ceilings and electrics; his granddad quickly helped by removing light fixtures, airing the house, and advising drying/ventilation. At sports day, Jack claims a competitive dad won a short parents race while wearing a running vest and bone-conducting headphones, then bragged to the other runner.
Notable examples
the “Spiderman” kid who didn’t care about winning; the deaf older gym friend who remembered Jack’s name and received signed West Ham memorabilia for his grandkids; Jack’s karate grading (white belt, aiming for red belt/possibly higher).

1:41Robbie:Jack makes happy hour. Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right. Here I am, stuck in the middle with you. It's Jack Maysaphy Hour podcast, ladies and gentlemen. I'm here with the legends, Robbie Knox and Stevie White, and we're going to blow your socks off on this Monday morning. With comedy bombs. Yes, the Bomeranians. I'm going to talk like this now. You weren't until then, so what? Interesting. A new voice. This is how I'm going to talk. What's your cool new voice, Stevie? Don't think I want to do a cool new voice. No, that's not a cool voice from him. I'm doing a cool voice. I've been watching a lot of Mobland, so I'm assuming I'm a gangster now.
2:22Robbie:I want to be a gangster. Maybe I'm a gangster. What's happening today? I don't know. I'm just feeling good. I'm on a good run of Mondays. You're on a good run of Mondays? Good run of Mondays. What does that mean as a sentence? Mondays are usually bad days, aren't they? You usually had a bit of a heavy weekend and stuff like that. I've just had my cousin's wedding. That was fun. That was good. now I'm just I'm enjoying a Monday I used to think another week another fucking week what does that mean to you? you don't work a 9 to 5 job no I know no matter what day it is but it's just like Mondays have got that Monday feel aren't they?
2:56Robbie:Mondays are brown not for you what? what do you mean they're brown? Mondays are brown days like what does that even mean? because you've had a bad weekend you had a big weekend this is your Mondays are bad for you because you're still recovering from Saturday yeah historically but days have colours don't they? we've done this before no they don't don't be a fucking little downer on a Monday we're trying to we're here our job that's fine but you don't don't get this don't associate colours to think it's just a day it's a good day or a bad day a Wednesday what's wrong with brown brown's like a shit colour literally it is is what I mean shit mud what things are brown shit chocolate mud yeah chocolate's good already got against what you're saying then but no I think our job here on a Monday is to bring the people up.
3:45Robbie:There are people doing nine to five. There are people grafting, doing hard work out there. And if we can be a little bit of joy in their earplug holes, in their ear holes, why can't we? Okay, so we need to make sure we hype this up and make them have the best start of the week they could possibly have. And also I'm here with my two good friends and we're catching up on life. You've done some stuff, haven't we? You've done some things. Yeah, I've famously done stuff. I've had a crap weekend, actually. that's right you're so depressed this monday so inconsistent my sister lives in canada yeah yeah but she lived in canada before this weekend i can't be here she's back you don't want her to be she's back for good yeah uh no no no just just because my cousin's wedding ah yes she's come back she's staying at mine so um i texted you the other day and i said i've i've had a hell of a morning yeah and you said save it it must be saying i've had one like the morning from hell or something and then wrote oh should i tell you about it or tell you on as an acu i was just thinking like don't tell me the first bit i shouldn't have done i i've i'm sorry right so so in my house uh in my my bedroom has an ensuite and then and then of course it does yeah and then um we have an we have an upstairs bathroom and i prefer to use the upstairs bathroom other than the on is that on a different floor how many floors are we talking here three three Ground?
5:08Middle. Upper. Yeah. Okay. Your bedroom on the middle? Middle, yeah.
5:13Robbie:All the bedrooms are on the middle. Upper is? Upstairs, like, streaming room and an office where I've got all camera equipment. Right? So in the middle one, I go to the middle bathroom. That's what I use. That's where Fiona's dad saw me famously that time. Right? Okay. I've always pictured that was at their house. Yeah. No, it was at mine. Oh. Yeah, that's why I didn't expect him to come in. Didn't know he was around. what i didn't know he's round well that makes the story so much more mental i woke up i was like hung over as fuck as i won in the afternoon and i was in my bathroom and then there's door open that's why i went instantly like i'll get out as i thought it was fit don't you have a toilet on the bottom floor yeah i do but why has he gone up to the middle one i don't know i think he knew you were in there let's not start that he was seeking it out well he got what he wanted a face full of right now so i was listen to this no no no god knows god knows this is the first one he decides to listen to we should be more interested in what jacks this seems to be going going on a bit so we probably should pay some attention i wonder what this podcast is about he got a mention got a little mensch so i i think i don't like the ensuite mainly because like the sink's a bit grotty.
6:29Robbie:It's a bit like... Isn't it a new house? Yeah, but I mean, it don't drain as well as the middle one. The middle one drains fine. I think Fiona uses it and her hair gets tangled up in it. Okay. So I use the middle one. So the other day, Fiona said to me, she's like, Fiona's a great host when someone comes around. She's cleaned the entire house. Apart from her grotty sink. Her grotty hair sink. So she cleaned the guest bedroom, and put new bed sheets on it ready for my sister, right? She said to me, one rule you've got, Jack, you do not use the middle toilet now. And I was like, right, I've been demoted from my favourite bathroom, right?
7:06Robbie:That's the bathroom with the bath in. I live in the bath, right? Not literally. It's weird. And then, so I wake up one morning early. I'm going downstairs. My sister's up. We're getting ready. We're sort of pottering about. Fiona was up editing the night before. She's still in bed, asleep. So I'm there. I tell my sister this story. I'm not allowed to use my bathroom, whatever. She goes, oh, you can if you want. I'm like, no, I'm not allowed. I go upstairs in the en suite, walk past Fee, who's asleep, peaceful, tuck her in, go in. What do you mean tuck her in? I tuck her in. Isn't she asleep? Yeah, but sometimes I just, I go, Fee, I walk past and I go, wake her up and tuck her in.
7:42Robbie:I do. Why? She can get back to sleep easy. She is sleeping most of the time. Yeah. Whenever we were on tour, she was just generally asleep. Yeah, have you ever seen her awake? When she's driving. Yeah, right. but then when you're driving she has a sleep yeah exactly no why you see her peacefully sleeping and you think I better quickly wake her up and tuck her in I think it could be more peaceful so I go I tap already it's less peaceful already just leave her alone I tap and then I go I go feet like that and then one foot goes in the air and then I put the tube underneath and then I go but and then she lifts the other one and then I walk off right so you trap her feet in yeah but nice keep the heat in but isn't that known as like the one thing you do in a hotel as soon as you get there take the bed sheets off the end like on the end you don't want to be trapped inside and you go get her in there we do that but she's not in a hotel she's at home different rules okay she likes being cocooned yeah yeah yeah so I cocoon her up and then I go into the en suite brush my teeth whatever get on with my day go back downstairs um you know the layout of my house i'm uh in the in the front room of the house sort of thing and i'm playing bit of the dark swing but i'm getting ready to now leave but i'm waiting for my sister she's getting ready as well and i'm just chucking a few darts at the at the thing um the dartboard at the dartboard and then the the the ring light for the dartboard goes off right i'm like why's that gone off i'm thinking fucking i've been using it two years maybe the bulb's gone right and then my sister comes through she goes why's the wi-fi off and why is the wi-fi down so i'm like well the wi-fi why is what why would the wi-fi be down i check it is down i go to the box i look at the box and the lights are off the wi-fi box so i'm like why are the lights off the wi-fi box but let me just say had your brain not put two and two together and realized no because i know what the rational thing to think is there that the lights the electric's gone yeah i look up at the ceiling and the ceiling light is on okay so i'm like right like, well, two of these things are not working, but one of them is.
9:52Robbie:Plug my phone in, working. So I'm like, what is going on here? Go into the living room, and I'm like, okay, let's test the things in here. Put the lamp on, don't work. Put the TV on, works. I'm like, there's no rhyme or reason to it. I don't get it. I sit down on the sofa, very much a head in hands moment. I'm scratching my head going, what could be the issue here? My sister comes in, and then I go, have you put the shower on? And she goes, no way. And I go, what's that noise? and we can just hear like a shower and i'm like but i've just left i've just cocooned feet she won't be in the shower that quick and i'm like oh my god i think i've left the tap running upstairs i go upstairs it's been about it's been on for 15 minutes but as i say it's the grotty hair sink right so i go upstairs the whole top floor of my house is middle floor sorry is flooded flooded i go oh middle floor yeah the middle floor because it's oh yeah so i go through my my bedroom floor is soaked it's like walking through a swamp right he's just floating on the bed yeah i got just peaceful asleep the bed's in the middle of the floor um but i go in there and fee sat up on the bed and she's like why what's happening why can i hear loads and um uh loads of water and i just go i fucked up i fucked up like that open the um bathroom loads of water comes through it's flooded i've got my laptop on the floor i've got all this shit on the floor in my bedroom and i'm like no no fuck right i don't know good acting there so i'm running about and i'm like shit like fuck i was swimming about in there and then um i go downstairs and i go into my kitchen and there is just water coming through the fucking sea have you turned the tap off at this point yeah have you turned the tap off yet it's still at home coming through the ceiling everywhere and um i i didn't know this was a thing i promise you this happened i've got a tv on the wall at the end of the kitchen and i went up to it and i thought right let's just start taking plugs out i took the plug out of the wall and water just came all out of the plug i could not believe what i was saying so i've tried to call my dad i'm like dad what do i do can't get any signal where i live so he can't hear me luckily wi-fi's not working yeah yeah luckily my granddad was on his way to pick my sister up.
12:11Robbie:That's what she was getting ready for. So my granddad's like my bloody hero. He was there within two minutes. I said, granddad, my house is wet. Oh, that's all that. That's what he did too, actually. So he's up on the ladder. He's unscrewing these light fixtures, all the water's coming through, and now my house is fucked. What? Is that the end? Well, what do you want? What do you want? It wasn't going to be just fine, wasn't it? What do you think I turned into Noah's Ark? Have you not found some kind of resolution? Two of every animal. Have I found a resolution? No. I've got a dehumidifier. I've put that on for a bit.
12:51Robbie:What else can I do? Maybe call someone? So is the electricity work? Sorry? Is the electricity work now? Apparently, Grandad said, he was calm as you like. I was going to say calm as houses, but my house was not. No. Yeah. He was right around screaming, I've done a bad thing or whatever. It was as calm as neighbours' houses, but... I didn't mean that. I just meant my neighbour's... No, I meant my neighbour's... I just meant my neighbour's house went... I didn't mean that. And I know it looked loaded because I looked at you. You just specifically look at me. I didn't mean that at all. That's worse because that was an accident.
13:29Robbie:I'd rather just say you've gotten on.
13:34Robbie:I'm not having a good time. It's fine. No. He said, get a fan on, get the doors open, boy. Get the doors open, and then it'll be right. Have you tried putting it in rice? She's got Declan round. That'll do it. Shit. That was so shit. That was shit. That was the last episode where you were, like, smashing joke up the chair. You did so well. Yeah, you fucked it. I fucked it. Got Declan round. Does his name is Rice? Or Pat, anyone. Panica for the older. Yeah. Yeah, good, good, good. So he seemed all calm. He said, open the back doors, like let some air in. Let the water out. Yeah, let the water out.
14:16Robbie:But like the carpet's fucked, the ceiling's fucked. There's a lot that's fucked. It was quite funny though, because he came around quite dressed up. So he had some really smart trousers on and he had like a nice jacket on. And if you know my granddad, he dressed like a bit of a like rough and sometimes, like gravy down his top and all this shit. and Fiona went to him went and all calmed down and she was having a cup of tea or whatever she went oh grandad you look you look really smart like where are you going and he just leant on the counter and he just went alright I'm going to Asda why did you dress up for it it's just what old people do isn't it just like my grandpa used to wear a tie when he went to the club like of an evening that was nice nightclub your grandad went nightclub I went to like a working minutes club whatever it was.
15:04That's cool as fuck, isn't it? They used to go to the club when I was a kid. Right.
15:08Robbie:And it was good. Like British Legion. I don't know. Do you remember British Legion? Yeah, I'm aware of it, yeah. Yeah, my mate's granddad used to go to British Legion every Friday. We used to go in there. It was like a little clubhouse, get a little coke and that. But apparently they all just, there was loads of pigeons there, like loads of racing pigeons and they would all go and discuss the best pigeon and that. That sounds good. I wonder how many years I've got till I do stuff like that. Can't be that many. Yeah, you've got to be close. you probably get there now when you look into it let's get you out get me out of the house yeah I hope that like because I don't know what British Legion is but this could be because I'm talking about something I know nothing about this could be the kind of thing that people write in and they say like oh you're talking about some racist club or something I don't think British Legion is a racist club I don't think well it's called British what is racist to be British Can't even put flags up now.
16:04Robbie:I'm going to look up what is British Legion. So yeah, my house is fucked. Are you going to do anything about it? I'll sort of leave it for a bit and see what happens. Are you actually just going to dry it out? Like air it out? Well, that's what you've got to do, he said. My grandad said that you've got to air it out. It's a national charity that supports the armed forces community. So it is racist. That's getting backlash. They're good. No, they're good. Sounds like they're good. No, I know they're good. That was a little joke. I don't really understand. stick to the deck with my stick roll yeah deck rice hey bye his name's rice yeah so that was shit that was shit so how how many days has it been uh that was three days ago now is the wi-fi back on wi-fi's back on yeah oh sounds like it's work so my granddad said oh you can turn these things on but not these things and he knew which ones to turn on when he says turn on does he mean the plug on the wall or does he mean at the actual electric box yeah he said you can turn them on and use them but uh when i got i went out for the day because i couldn't use half my shit and then when i got back i thought oh fuck it i just need to use it so just type everything i need that doesn't sound safe that sounds like a fire hazard but i needed to get on ticked up yeah you it's annoying for you because you live in you live in a place that there's no signal without your wi-fi you can't get 4g or anything no yeah talking of old people though i've uh made a new friend and he what yeah so the gym that we go to yeah I've genuinely made a new friend and I think it's quite a wholesome story like an old fella yeah I was walking in there about three how old are we talking here I reckon he's probably late 70s or early 80s oh so actually old yeah younger than Robbie yeah I'd put it in my class at school so I was walking into the gym about three months ago and he was walking past me and he went I was wearing a West Ham shirt and he went, oh, like that.
17:54Robbie:And then I was like, hey. Haven't you mentioned him before? On the pod. Maybe I have, yeah. And he was really friendly. And then we got chatting and he's just really a sweet man and I see a lot of like my granddad in him and he's always on the cross trainer. Yeah, wearing a suit.
18:13Robbie:And so we got chatting and he was like, I'm going to take my grandkids to London Stadium for the first time on Sunday. I'm really excited about it. And I was like, oh, that's nice. And I was like, oh, I do a bit of work for West Ham every now and then. And I was like chatting to him and he was really excited by it and stuff and took a lot of interest. And then a couple of weeks went by and I was in there and I'd just done that video with Paolo Di Canio. So we went, oh, what have you been up to? You've been at West Ham? And I went, yeah, I interviewed Paolo Di Canio and that. And I showed him a picture and he went, oh, that's brilliant.
18:42Robbie:That's brilliant. What a player he was. Great, great. And he's deaf like my granddad as well. So I have to talk loud to him and stuff. So it's like quite sweet. And then he went to me, can I show you? and this is the really sweet thing about him. He remembered my name from the first interaction. What's his name? I honestly, I know it sounds bad. I'm gutted because I'd forgot his name and now I feel too far in. Stevie needs to help you out here. Yeah. You need to, when he's in, when you're at the gym at the same time, get him. Smart, yeah. And then when he comes out, you talk to him and Stevie go, I go, hi, what's his name, Jack?
19:18Yeah. Oh, I do have an opportunity.
19:20Robbie:yeah so but it's really cute right because like um the other day i was speaking to him for ages in the changing room and then i went out into the pool and i was in the pool and i didn't realize i thought he was leaving but he came in the pool as well but we'd just been talking so he come past he was like paddling like doggy paddling swimming next to me and so i just did that like awkward thing where you go ah not following me are you like no but i went i went you're following me and he went well you'd have to be really slow because he's like he's really sweet but anyway so I showed him a picture of me and Palo de Canio and then he went oh Jack can I show you a photo and I went yeah yeah go on he went oh because I met someone as well and I was thinking oh this will be cool and um he went into his locker and he couldn't work his iPhone so I had to help him on his iPhone and stuff and uh he went yeah go on the photos so I went on the photos and then he went there you go look at that I clicked on it it was him it was so sweet and it was like his three grandkids at London Stadium and they were with like Herbie the Hammer and I was like that's really cute so what i did which i thought was quite a nice little thing i've i got i went home and i got a signed mark noble thing that he did when he came to the pod and a signed antonio thing and i've given it to him for his grandkids oh that's so nice and i said but you don't have to give it to um your grandkids if you don't want he went yeah one of them might go in my pocket oh he seems nice yeah he's cute and he'll be on the pod next week because i'm struggling for guests he's a managed name i don't know he goes to my gym he's cute because he's old but yeah that was that was fun yeah i've got someone who's not cute and old not old but older i went to isaac sports day the other day have your kids had their sports day this year yet i didn't think so i yeah i i love a school sports day i used to love big egg and spoon were they doing egg and spoon?
21:06Robbie:Yeah, they did egg and spoon. Yeah, that never goes anywhere, does it? What do you mean? Like egg and spoon. To the Olympics. Like once you're after, once you finish school. Yeah, you don't really compete at beyond that. Nah. I think it gets, once your hand-eye coordination's there, I think it's quite hard to drop the egg. Oh, really? Yeah, I did it the other day. What, you took part in the school day? No, no. So I'm training anyone enough. No. I'll beat all the other dads. This is what I'm talking about. You wait. So no, egg and spoon at Easter. I went round my sisters and we did it in the back garden and it's so hard to lose the egg when you're moving.
21:42Robbie:Has it always got to be an egg or can it be like an easter egg? As long as it's egg shaped I think and a spoon You could heat the bottom of the egg up stick it to the spoon Never lose a game of egg and spoon again You could just clear it all But as you said Good point, touche You just do it with a spoon upside down But yeah so at the sports day. Is this indoors or outdoors? Outdoors in a big field. There are a couple of things that happened, but one of them was just like, oh, I was fuming. I wasn't fuming, but I was like, what the fuck is this guy? Are you being a Karen here? No. You'll hate this as well.
22:17You'll hate this just as much. So, Ariane and I walk into this field, and as we go in, we can see all the kids sat down in different areas, because it was year three and year four. And we kind of stood up going, oh, I don't know where we're going to go.
22:29Robbie:I love that's the first question, by the way. Are you being a Karen? Yeah. normally you'll agree you'll agree so we kind of stood there going i don't know where we don't want to sit down because you and you follow the kids around because it's like a circuit it's like a circuit so that the kids go to different things they'll start egg and spoon and then move on to whatever and um as we're stood there i hear this guy talking behind walking past me talking and he He goes, yeah, I got it on for the parents race. And I was like, what? So I turn around. It's this guy, early 40s. He's wearing bone conductor headphones.
23:09Right. And a running vest. He did a bit, didn't he? Actual running vest, bone conductor headphones. And I was... He did it for a joke, didn't he? Surely not. Lycra. But he wasn't talking to someone. I turned, he was talking on the phone. so he's going yeah no i'm wearing it wearing it all for the thing i'm thinking okay this he's funny he's either funny or a twat i'm getting funny and i can't tell so the the whole sports day happens parents race is the last thing and i'm kind of watching they let all the mums go and then the dads go and the first race happens they're all just having fun it doesn't really matter and then i see are you racing no isaac wouldn't let me i am so gutted to yeah isaac said it'd be too embarrassing really why you're a runner yeah long distance now in it i can't do no pros was it no pros yeah sorry no fitness influencers like me not turning up for the 5k yeah so this second race is about to happen and the guy um runs from where he is just stood on his own to the start line still has the vest on and still has the bone conductor headphones the race is maybe 40 meters yeah like it's not like it's not even a loop of the 200 it's like a random like from from i could fall over and win the race so it's you know like the the loop is like a track is normally 200 meters they've got a running track it's in a big field so it's like it's just grass not like an actual track but it's got the lines okay um so it's inside that just a straight line so it's inside the 200 meter circle just a straight line 200 meters so you know like a normal running track is around about 200 meters 400 is it yeah oh it doesn't look that big it's a small one then um so they're just running from inside to inside lengthways that's it it took a few seconds for the races to be finished and he kept all of this on and he bombs it like that he's running but there's a guy who's quite close to him throughout the whole thing and i was like yeah normal clothes no just like jeans though i like it when you see a guy who beats someone who's like a sporty dad he's just wearing a suit yeah well i was thinking like he's taking it so seriously but this other guy he wins yeah fucking running vest knob wins with his headphones on and but as soon as he wins he turns around to the other guy going oh i was worried you were so close to me and he was getting so intensely into it that I just cannot see a way that he was joking.

27:11Robbie:I think, does he listen to this? I can't imagine. I think you may have found the biggest cunt in the world. I think, I'd say it's up there. I think he could be the biggest cunt to have ever lived.
27:27What are you looking for? Is there something that you're doing? No. No, right. He wants your opinion. I'm just thinking, did I do this? I don't remember doing this. Honestly, it was rank. Bone conducting headphones. It does feel like it's... It does feel like it's a joke or he's mentally ill. But he's clearly a running... Because you don't own a running vest unless you run. And you don't own bone conductor headphones unless you run. Why are you wearing headphones? why is he wearing headphones that's what makes me think it's a bit because he's wearing it as a joke as if he's running a marathon why are you wearing a running vest for a 40 metre run joke but that's what I'm saying the headphones but he's not with he wasn't with any of the other dads or anything so who's he joking with he wasn't with any kids and I saw no no no so before the race started I saw his daughter go up to him go come on dad you got that like proper like wanting him to do it and stuff oh that's all right yeah but but that he that is that is terrible and i you can see the dads that wanted to take it seriously like even even like they wouldn't do that but they as they're about to run it will take their coats and hoodies off and stuff and i was like it's just 48 let's just run it yeah it's a bit much did he i'm competitive but i could not hack that yeah but did you not enter because you knew you couldn't win no i just wouldn't let me because there's no winner that's what i mean you won and it was like there is the fucking bone no he's actually
28:53Robbie:a loser that's what I mean but like he won and then it was like cool should we go have our picnic now well that was it was he celebrating then mate honestly he was turning around to his other guy going you were so close to me you were so close like like he was like kind of like making sure he knew he lost telling the other guy you were close you didn't make get there but you lost wowzer that's horrible that is horrible there was a really nice moment at the sports day though so they put the kids in groups that man died
29:27that was hit by a truck outside they they um i was a bit worried about sports today because isaac's not remotely competitive and also not remotely sporty but when we got there we realized they put the kids in um groups rather than just like the whole class going it'd always be the same four boys would race each other then the next same four boys each egg and spoon race same four boys who go up against each other because they're like the best of the class so isaac's in the final four of the kids which is basically all the kids with like extra needs and um there was a there was a pricky moment and then a lovely moment that just cracked me up but this guy comes along goes i've got this one here we go running fast the prick was a kid but he was um there was a with special needs no no no no no not the special needs kids this was so the final race of the day was a relay before the parents race and so obviously the the kids who needed the extra help were against each other still but that meant they went on a team with three other kids that were like enjoying the running and stuff
30:42Robbie:what so there's so there's three teams of three so it's four teams of four four teams of four so isaac and the other three kids were um like the second runners in this this final race so all the kids with the special needs are in separate teams yeah right yeah yeah to equal out the abilities fair as well yeah and there were where we were sat we were next to four of the kids and two of them were going oh i hope i don't have this kid on my team like basically moan at them but then one of them said isaac as well and i was like oh yeah but um then so this is this is the best thing ever the those kids run around and just by chance where we're sat uh isaac finishes his run and we're going oh well done well done he actually did all right but but then two of the kids uh who were against isaac one of them went i came first i came first like proper buzzing then the other boy another boy goes i came second i came second isaac says nothing and then the fourth boy just goes i'm spoderman spoderman and the kids are still buzzing and he just repeats it he goes i'm spoderman and just starts flinging his hands around that's cute and it was like my favorite moment of the whole day because he just could not give a shit about this race these other boys are I hope he's not on it.

31:59That was him that they were saying. I hope he's not on my team. It's like, you wankers. He just doesn't care. He's having the best day ever. Spiderman's alleged. Yeah, Spiderman. Shout out Spiderman.
32:09Robbie:And then the runner came over dressed as Spiderman. Well, I'm Spiderman, mate. So I fucking picked up. Oh, that's quality. I want a kid just to experience school sports day. It's not that good. No. It's not worth having a kid just for that. Is it not? I think there's better bits. Well, at the age Isaac's at now, it's kind of like fake competitive. Some of the kids care, some of them don't, and then you just get a sticker and it just moves on. Then doing sports and stuff is good. Sports day itself is not the reason to have kids. I think it's really sweet. You know how they say kids can be cruel, can't they?
32:45Robbie:Because trying to exclude the kids who have more requirements and stuff, it's really sad. I'm not trying to just blow my own trumpet or anything here, right? because people would maybe assume that my YouTube upbringing, I was cynical as a kid. But I was really empathetic as a kid. I remember being like, even from a young age, like seeing kids get excluded and I couldn't handle it. It was well weird. I remember, were you like that as a kid or not? Yeah, I think so. Yeah, I would have been, yeah. I'd say so. I remember I'm pretty well being excluded. You're in the corner on your own going, I hate when people are excluded.
33:23Robbie:i remember i cried once because my mom gave me some tuck money what do you remember the old polaroid camp not the polaroid cameras but the old uh digital um disposable one disposable cameras and they would you'd get the film and it'd come in that little tub yeah yeah my mom gave me like 350ps in that i remember having those yeah that's where you'd have them yeah that's funny yeah for like raisins and shit like that um like you remember like the whole like minute maids or whatever they were called a little raisin yeah but i remember i i remember vividly i must have been in first school god knows how old like six or seven or whatever but i remember being in a queue for the tuck shop you remember the tuck shop yeah and i remember thinking my mom has given me this money and i couldn't wrap my head around why she would give me money for me when it was her money and i just cried sad yeah quite cute though isn't it yeah no no it's not it's not yeah it's sad that you were the thought that your mother might love you was so shocking yeah that's the sad bit that does kind of show what was happening for the however long before that she might knock on me about them no it is as she was but the fact that that was still to come yeah but the fact that she was giving you money I'll enjoy this 150 because it's downhill from here yeah I think the fact more that she was giving you money for food was like not that outrageous I was just like really touched that someone would do that for me no that's no well good
34:52Robbie:i will never do this for someone else what you've got to robbie uh i've continued my karate funny is it funny he actually before we started recording this he was showing me some of his blocks yeah he hurt my arm i'll show you now bang you're gonna hit calm waited you are you having a midi krizzy no i hang out with my kids we've covered this okay you know what i liked about the last part is that when i said karate obviously straight away it was like funny because it is funny isn't it and then only one thing and alfie's like whoa that was really cool so we all hammer each other but also go yeah that's really cool yeah yeah yeah he hurt me before this episode blocking one of my punches he's got solid forearms push my arm away and it got hurt so in this situation i would do my head block what yeah you can do a head block yeah oh oh dead heart here's your heart he's already learned how to rip out a heart and show it to his dying enemy i showed it to them before they die that's the trick so you're still white belt still white belt but what's next belt red belt i've got a grading you go red belt i love this do you know what you can do if you really do well in your grading if you get distinction you're grading so there's three elements right there's i might get this wrong karate people but i'm doing my best there's the key on which is the techniques you learn your punches your kicks blocks and stuff like that yeah there's kata which is basically like a karate dance routine i would like it too it's like a pattern that you have to do to show that you know things but at this level it's like your blocks and that and there's kumite that's basically sparring so for this level it's like i'm gonna hit you in the head and then you do that and then you block it so you know what's gonna happen you're not just having a fight right um but if you get like a like a distinction like 90 in your grading you can double grade and miss a belt if you know the next level ups kata the dance routine wow are you learning well i don't know because i want to be the same as my kids maybe then equally if i get the chance i'm like double grade do you think if Marlow could double grade.
37:11Robbie:He'd skip you. Yeah. Yeah. So I don't know what will happen, but I'm pretty confident I will be passing. Yeah. And I will be a red belt at least. This is going to be such a great plot point for happy hour if you become a black belt in karate. If I became like really hard, what a twist. No one would see that coming. Yeah. But I'm enjoying it. We're getting back two or three times a week. Are you? Yeah. Because you have to have done a certain number of lessons before the grading because we've joined quite late. Oh, you're having to rush it in? How many have you done? Six. You've already six in? Yeah.
37:45I swear it was only one last time we spoke. And the boys have done one more than me. Can I ask, is this expensive? Yeah, it is quite expensive.
37:54Robbie:Yeah, right. I would say if you've got three of you doing it. Because that's why me and my sister stopped doing it when we were younger. Yeah. It was too pricey. It was like we spent like in the geese, the outfit thing that you wear. I've got an outfit. Yeah. I've got a karate outfit. surely we can show the probably yeah yeah let's show it on the screen yeah the outfit those three of those cost over 100 quid like they called geese i think oh um i think i'm not really i think it's that's what i call them in cobra kai you have to fight others when you're there then eventually you can but like at the minute it's like it's it's sparring where my level is where you know what's happening so but you are like doing you're supposed to be like aggressive and because you're not supposed to just go up and go okay i'll punch you know you're supposed to do like whenever yeah they're all like it's all like really solid like robotic movements almost so like are you like you know like when i'm getting i'm into it i'm doing it probably when i when i was fake punching you before this and you hurt my arm yeah we were doing that in slow motion like yeah in the grading are they just bam no they're not trying to hit you i don't i don't i don't really know i've not done the grading but i don't i don't think they're in a place but it's other people you're doing it with another white belt i think you're just you're grading at the same time as them i think is everyone their white belt then no so there's all different belts so i got this last session last night i went to was good because there was enough adults to have an adults only group normally it's me fighting kids oh wow but the adults were red belt i did a bit of the red belt cater and learned a bit of that learned some new moves and stuff how many how many kids have you thought?
39:28You're not actually fighting them, but you're doing sparring. A lot of the time it's my own kids.
39:32Robbie:Can you get them and like, throw them down on the floor? Kids? Yeah. No. Adults? You don't just generally pick people and throw them around, no. You do what you're told. How do you defeat one? You're not trying to defeat kids. Is it fun or is it just like learning a dance routine? So you're doing different things. I'm enjoying doing it. I didn't really I had no intention of being into karate a month ago do you think you'll get all the way to black belt I don't know probably not how many belts are there there's 10 up until black grade and black belt and then there's like 10 there's 10 after black belt there's 10 dans yeah yeah dans first dan second dan yeah not a clue yeah well I'm excited to learn how far you go in the belt yeah I'd love for you to be a black belt underling and sensei why are we talking on the nicknames real quick how's pig widgeon going quite well yeah yeah there's not as it's not as constant as it once was can we say as he says it's going quite well i heard robbie enforce it on his kids did you yeah in the car in the car so they they said bye daddy on the phone call to end the call and he said it's not daddy is it what is it i've never gone pig widgeon yeah a lot of it was for effect for to entertain you guys so are you enforcing it now no i'm encouraging it because I like it.
40:56But the other day, Arlo came in. Arlo's got audio books of all the Harry Potter books. Legend. And he came in to me and goes, I'm going to play you all the mentions of Pigwidgeon. And then he would play me for a bit and then he mentioned Pigwidgeon. He'd go, okay, move on to the next bit. Here's another mention of Pigwidgeon.
41:11Robbie:How can he just know the time code? I think there's a chapter where Pigwidgeon got mentioned quite a lot at the beginning. Right. And he was just playing me that bit and he goes, Pigwidgeon sat up. See, Pigwidgeon. What were you doing when he was saying this? I was listening. and he also bought some Lego the other day because it had pigwidge in the Lego what I don't even think you'd be able to get pigwidge pigwidge yeah little pigwidge in it that's cool that's cool wow we might be sitting with the master of karate sensei pigwidge sensei pigwidge
41:40that'd be the maddest thing so I'll let you know how I get on in the grading yeah when is it it's already happened by the time this has gone out oh okay it's been on June the 14th
41:50Robbie:can you ever bring your gi in to us to see if you want me to oh my god if you get the belt just wear it like when i wear when medals for marathons and i wear them in yeah every time i get a new belt yeah bring it in i'll wear my your gi and the belt and the belt yeah yeah and so i won't tell you that i've done it until i'm here and i'm wearing my uniform that's that's the belt not my cock
42:17Robbie:i love it what else you've been up to then uh went to warrington oh hang on are you let me I did have a question are you the oldest one there? no who's the oldest one there? the teacher? no no there's just some people that are older just different people are different ages are the other people are the other adults there because their kids are there or are there there's a lot of that I think any adults there with no kids? just your running mate I don't know yeah probably yeah certainly certainly in the higher grades I think because because there's lots of like adult black belts and stuff like that that are there but I think quite a lot of people certainly a lot of the adults I've spoken to have got into it because their kids do it and they thought well I'm coming like me, I'm coming along every week I might as well join in Is it a Japanese art form?
43:04Robbie:I don't know Karate I don't know, it's quite a cool culture around it though isn't it? It's about respect All the respect and stuff like that you do your little bowing and stuff like that Yeah I remember bowing And you're supposed to bow your head up See they don't really show the respect in Cobra Kai do they? They talk a little bit about the rest of the world. Yeah, but then they're just punching each other at school. They will bow and stuff to their senseis and things. Yeah, and then just have school fights constantly. Yeah. If I've learned anything from Cobra Kai is that if you do karate for about three weeks, you become amazingly hard and equal to everyone else who does karate.
43:36They all instantly seem to become amazing at it. So hopefully that'll happen to me. So you've been to Warrington? Yeah, went to a festival, went to Neighbourhood Weekender. Kitty, my daughter, is 14, she wanted to go and see... Well, when I was away skiing, she wanted to go and see she wanted me to get tickets for the james marriott oh yeah i remember yeah yeah and then i didn't manage to get them because i was skiing and forgot and then they were sold out so i thought ah i bet you know kitty can be quite stern right i don't want to get angry with me yeah so um i thought okay i'll go i'll take you to a festival and my friend star sailor you've met the band they were playing at the same day as james marriott said hey guys i haven't seen you for a while can i come see you i've owned up at the weekend when i saw them um so then so yes we went we went along along to that so so warrington where is that that's it's between manchester and liverpool so okay wow i think james marriott i saw yeah um he was either doing the best joke i've ever seen or he didn't know where he was he was saying like and i think there were a few acts doing it but saying saying but he was saying he's saying at manchester a lot of people around me i was sort of near the back he didn't come towards the front we're sort of going and warrington like that's something but he said it like about 30 times and i said this is either really good or he's just a bit bit confused where he was is warrington close enough it's It's pretty close, but it's a distinctive place.
45:07So he kept calling the crowd Manchester. He kept saying, come on, Manchester, and things like that. But he said it more times than I've ever heard anyone say to the crowd, which made me think, is it a joke? I don't know. It was really funny. Yeah. If it was meant to be funny. Was he a good performer? He was really good. He was excellent, actually. Yeah, really good. Arthur Hill was on as well. He was good too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nice. Was Kitty happy? Kitty was very happy, yeah. She got very close to the front, so that was good. I'll tell you who's doing sound on that stage Pietro our sound man from tour no big gorgeous man Pietro he's not looking as hench as he once was I think his bench press might have been gone down a little bit oh my word no afraid so so yeah I need to see it on my own eyes I need to go for a distance didn't really see that close but he did seem like I can't imagine him for you Nick can you because he was stacked he used to be yeah but I think he's gone down a bit now bottled it has he yeah a little bit so yeah that was good but then and then Warrington is where Luke Littler's from Warrington is where Kerry Katona is from Jesse Lingard
46:08Robbie:Star Sailor Are you just playing top trumps? We're playing Warrington trumps You're telling Stevie You won't know anyone, you're thick Luke Littler's dad Luke Littler's mum Nah she's not Where's she from? I don't know Leave his mum out of it Why he brought his mum into it? You said she's not from around there. She is from around there. Stop staking off his mum. So what was Star Silo? Star Silo Rexon as well. There were quite a lot of people. I was talking to Ben on the phone the day after the drummer, and he was saying there were obviously quite a lot of people down the front who were there for Wonder Horse or afterwards.
46:46Oh, well, Wonder Horse, no, were they? Wonder Horse, yeah. But that's the nice thing about festivals, isn't it? They all seemed to get into it like that. It was also raining, which I think helps if you're in a tent. Yeah. Well, it was busy anyway, but they got absolutely rammed.
46:58Robbie:I think that sometimes at a festival, when it rains, it can really bring the energy up. Yeah. I think people bound together and it's like, it's quite... I wouldn't mind when we go to Glastonbury in the summer. I wouldn't mind if on the Sunday, 4pm, let's have a bit of drizzle. Because we know we're going home anyway the next day. Yeah, but I think... It's not going to ruin the whole weekend. It can bring you back to life, I feel. A little bit of drizzle's fine. You're not too much mud at Glastonbury. There's drizzle, there's spitting, there's drizzle. Yeah. Then it goes to light rain, rain. Heavy rain.
47:31Robbie:Heavy rain, downpour, torrential. Showers as well. Showers. Showers are more intermittent, aren't they, though? You can have heavy showers and light showers. That's a separate thing, really. What? Do you like this rain scale? Not sure why we care. No, I'm just saying. Well, he's just telling us what he's been up to. We have to listen to you. I've got an A-level in geography, mate. I like talking about weather. Yeah. I'm really excited for festival season yeah it was nice it was nice being there but also the headlines were Stereophonics and Dizzy Rascal which had a choice which one to go to we decided to go home because it was raining Kitty was a bit tired that sounded like Big at Dizzy no not at all no just more like when I was younger I'd have made myself stay but I thought you know what it's quite a way I've seen every band about a hundred times over the years who would you have preferred to see between Dizzy Rascal and Stereophonics I've seen Dizzy Rascal less than I have Cereophonics if I possibly only once so I probably would have gone to see Dizzy Rascal and see what it was like and then maybe flitted between the two of them but it's quite a small sight you can go between them it's not a sort of you are hanging up your festival hat aren't you I'm winding down my festivalling are you how do you feel about that FX's American horror story returns for an unrivaled 13th installment with the iconic horrors you love to fear and an all-star cast reprising fan favorite roles light your candles draw your pentagrams and prepare for a supreme surprise fx's american horror story 13 now streaming on hulu this episode is brought to you by paypal you know how a mom's bag has everything sunscreen snacks a stapler the new paypal app is like that but for your money shop pay manage your account and earn rewards all in one place and with purchase protection on eligible items biometric security and pass keys you're protected at every step download the new paypal app to get started see paypal.com protection terms fall has never looked or tasted this good sweet greens fall harvest menu is back with seasonal favorites dressed to impress and made to be devoured warm roasted sweet potatoes crisp apples maple glazed brussels and crave worthy flavors in the autumn harvest bowl maple glazed salmon plate and roasted bacon brussel side the season's most desirable menu has returned to sweet green featuring fall's best dressed make your move order on the sweet green app I feel the thought of like it's the camping side that's the issue right going a festival in a place we'll just go away and come back to yeah on board with that I'll do the odd camping I think it depends on the festival I don't think the line up in a lot of British festivals is that great really Glastonbury's always good you're not I look at the festivals in America now and some of them are incredible I went to Maryland or Maryland I don't know how you say it but you hated the American one didn't you I went to Coachella yeah it was wank yeah Coachella's wank it's literally just influencers wanting to take selfies yeah and don't get me wrong like anyone can enjoy a festival in any way they like right like i'm not a big fan of the glastonbury lineup apparently i'm wrong like everyone's saying that it's brilliant right fair enough but at the coachella it was like like i i always go to this story i know i do but we're there we're watching um dr dre um snoop dogs on stage m &m right and they do but sorry it's the m &m's headlining and dr dre and snoop dog come out and they do california love right which is amazing we're in california watching this right and as soon as that comes on right i saw just a group of like influencers in front of me and then they were like nah and just walked off i was like if that's not getting what is and again another story i said but they they don't let you drink from what i can remember anyway and it's probably about eight years ago now they don't let you drink in the in the festival so there's like a pen at the back of the festival where you have to go that's weird it was they take drinking very seriously in america like i remember going to see oasis just outside boston and it's in 2005 and they had like a two drink maximum like you only you weren't allowed to have more than two drinks so there's three of us there and at one point like i was holding the others went to the toilet i was holding the drinks and someone came over to the screen i said sorry sir it's a two it's a two drink maximum the event i went oh they're not my drinks i'm just holding them he He goes, it's a two drink maximum, sir.
52:09I went, do you want me to go and give them one of their drinks back? He went, yes, please, sir. I wasn't allowed to hold three drinks. That's so weird. It's really weird. And obviously you can just go and have more than two drinks. When you finish a drink, you just don't tell anyone. But that'll be fine. I had more than two drinks, I can tell you. But yeah, it's a weird, I don't know how much you've changed it. it's a weird it's a weird attitude around drinking i mean as opposed to us we just got from the age of 12 yeah i think that helps the vibe of the festival though doesn't it because it's with camping and everything and being there it's a long amount of time isn't it days over a weekend and you are just shattered yeah so drinking does help yeah massively drinking
52:52Robbie:helps with most things in life i think not driving or babysitting there's a couple but you're right Yeah. Talking about drinking, I recently went to Barcelona. Oh, the Norwich of Spain. Very much the Norwich of Spain. One of the few cities in Europe, I think, that can rival Norwich. Really, yeah. I've never been. Oh, it's incredible. Stevie must. It's incredible. Do you know what? I'd probably twist your definition a little bit and propose to you the Brighton of Spain. How so? town busy sorry city busy bustling city with a beach front yes norwich doesn't have a beach does it no but it has a river which is like a small beach
53:41yeah it is yeah they're not identical no but but they've got cathedrals yeah so have we yeah and
53:49Robbie:they've got a couple i think because there's that famous thing around their cathedral the Grada Familia that they're constantly building it or they're constantly doing construction on it. Apparently, word on the street Nearly done. And there's another cathedral as well. There's a Barcelona cathedral as well. So they've got two cathedrals like Norwich. Okay. Okay. Fair enough. This is not your first Barcelona rodeo, is it? No, it is not. Ask me what I was drinking over there. What were you drinking over there? What? Yeah. Well, actual wine. I'm a wine guy now. Or like sangria? No wine. No way. I had a few sangrias, don't get me wrong.
54:19Robbie:When in Rome. How did you enjoy the wine? I like wine. Yeah, I said to Fee, I want to be a wine guy. The only time I drink wine is the happy hour Christmas special when Robbie kindly brings his son. You've gone in soft there, like rosé or white wine. No, I haven't, Stevie. I like... Rosé or white wine. What? No, I'm saying they're the easier ones to get into. There's things in life I have to train myself to do. I told you, I trained myself to like pot noodles because I love to smell when my dad used to have a curry one on the go. So I want to be a wine man. Yeah, okay. I think it's good. I think it's nice being a wine man.
55:01It was good. Do you know what I'd say? If you want to be a wine man and you want to drop a few quid in a bottle, go and see the man in Norwich Market, the Substrata, which is the little wine stall in the market. He is delightful and will give you any wine advice you want. But I don't know what wine advice I need. Tell him what you like. What, you want something fruity? How do I know what I like?
55:23Robbie:Did you like the ones in Barcelona? Yeah, well, this is what I did. Got the menu, skipped the rosé. Okay. Right. Skipped the white. You went red. I went red. I thought, let's go head in. Head first. Head in. Yeah. So I headed in, and I looked at the menu, and Fee didn't really mind, so I could pick whatever bottle I wanted, and I went for one. I'm going for the describing words. So one said floral. I went new. don't like i don't elderflower yeah next one it said fruity i like a smoothie yeah so that'll do good the next one said sparkly or sparkling okay yeah i thought i like fizzy and the next one said something like i want to say what was it dry yeah no i didn't say dry yeah i think it said fresh or something like that yeah so i was like they're three things i like yeah i got it the guy come over.
56:18Robbie:Oh, I thought you were describing different wines. No, no, no, no. There was one wine that had all those three qualities. Yeah, so I was like, that one sounds good. Let's go for that one. A fruity, sparkly, fresh one. The bottle of the wine was a man's name, so it was like a John McClure 28th. Forever in the Makers.
56:43Of all the people, of all the names to pick it's John McClure from Reverend the Makers is wine was it John McClure or was it like John McClure or was it just a name I made up a name
56:56Robbie:it was like a John Macken okay John Macken famous okay you don't have to give examples of names you know what names are okay yeah so and then I and I had it and I had a bloody good time with it good you can do that with Market Man I'll do that with Market Man go and say hey I'm looking for something fruit tea what would you recommend what's the likelihood of you buying it from the market and then just leaving it in the cupboard for a month well I'd probably drink it I think if I bought it if I pay for it he does the good stuff so you'd probably be talking like over your 10 pounds yeah yeah I want to go for a nice little bottle and enjoy it in the summer but obviously I was smashing the sangrias as well they're decent then they're decent first time I've ever had one I was like that's lovely that is nice yeah that is nice yeah just sitting on the sea front Barcelona sang for you.
57:46Robbie:Lovely vibe, Barcelona. Yeah, you can't beat it. I used to go there all the time on 20s and you had such a lovely time that you could just get a bottle of Carver and sit on the beach or something like that. What's Carver then? The fizzy wine. It's like the champagne equivalent of Spade. Oh, right. That always gives me headaches. Oh, don't have it then. Yeah. Yeah. But everyone in Barcelona just seems so chilled. Yeah. Anyone who plays beach volleyball is a chilled person. Yeah. You never get a stressed person playing that. Did you get involved? No, mate. Come on. I ain't got the body for that.
58:14that would be hard you need a nice body for playing volleyball everyone everyone was beautiful
58:20Robbie:the women they are generally pretty men very pretty every single like we were on the like the promenade bit outside the casino and you'd see people running all the time was that the w hotel was that where the casino is always further down oh the casino's further down yeah yeah yeah and we'd see people running all the time and the men would just be like these bronzed oiled up six pack but their biceps had biceps you hate men who run without tops on yeah but not in Barcelona it's hot yeah it's boiling hot when it's fucking December near pets at home yeah it's a fucking shirt and it's raining you cunts you want to go a little bit further down to I can't remember the name of it um the the gay beach that's further down my god there are some good looking men there if you want to look for good good looking men gay beach gay beach Barcelona really you will get some good looking men are there lesbians on there mostly just men oh and it's new to speak so you can see their cogs forgot about that i'm in yeah i'm in yeah wow yeah so get yourself to barcelona you'll like it yeah i probably will at some point yeah yeah i don't know why i haven't been we think you're lovely lady there yeah i've only ever been to mainland spain once with you why don't you win an envelope why don't you go there what what's the concept there though i go to spain You go where you want.
59:40My envelope, I'm going to Spain, you're staying here. Okay, you're just going on your own. Yeah. Yeah, cool. Good content. I'll go to Barcelona. I'll have to go to Barcelona. Yeah. Have you seen... So Jack and I obviously have jackandstevie.com now. Yes. And the main series on that... I'm a subscriber. Oh, thank you. Oh, man. I've so wanted to support this. I've joined on nine different computers. That's good because we have nine members. Yeah. Thank you. So the main video series is called Gold Envelopes, as you know, which is we have gold envelopes, and based on what name comes out of the envelope, that person gets to choose a video.
1:00:16Can we Jack pick, Stevie pick, or both pick? What's just normal envelopes till the Patreon money came in? The normal, the first video we did was a Stevie picks, and I took Jack to San Francisco so we could try and find the White Lady of Stow Lake. Lovely. Happy Hour's most infamous urban legend. Shock. second video Jack got to pick and I've taken him to America done this lovely thing for him that was nice Jack took me to Peterborough what? something wrong with taking you to Peterborough mate? oh wait oh that wasn't the issue but compared to San Francisco Peterborough's not the nicest place I didn't even see a sinkhole with Jack were you back home in your own bed that night?
1:00:59Robbie:yeah he took me to a tattoo parlour to see my old tattooist Bryce alright who did a tattoo on my calf and the concept of the video people would have seen the video by now if they wanted to see it right so are we revealing what the tattoos are now yeah because we said the main thing when we started jackandstevie.com is that it won't affect happy hour and we're not here to kind of stop anything from being shown on here yeah the concept of the video is that Jack took me and I had to get a tattoo without even seeing what I was getting put on my body it's mental that he agreed to this with me this is that is mental yeah it's crazy it was a jack pick i'm not not gonna do what's asked you should not do that yeah like you just don't do that fucking idiot for doing i was hating me for what i was choosing i was going you're a prick for doing this but i could i still had to do it on the day jack once i've had mine done he felt so bad he actually let me pick one on him but i didn't have i didn't have pre-planning i didn't know what i was do so i've i went down a route that was that looking at it is quite nice i jack loves the simpsons so my idea was that i get have you just poured water everywhere it's like your house it's happened again have we got tissue rather than wipes yeah these are wet they're making more wet have we got have we got a bucket of water i could use to throw over this so on the day jack felt so bad about what he made me get that he let me decide what he should have as well not that big of a deal for me is it when i've got fucking keep your head up keep your heart strong keep your mind set not that bad yeah and i had no prep to kind of think of what i could do that was bad so first thing that came to mind was jack really likes the simpsons love it and in the first episode of the simpsons but tries to get a tattoo for his mum marge as like a christmas present but marge catches it halfway through and yanks him out with a tattoo parlor i've seen it so he gets one of those love hearts that says mother in it but it gets stopped so it says moth yeah and i thought jack has a really good relationship with his mum yeah so that could be quite a funny idea so jack's got that on the back of his leg now great you've got a terrible relationship with the person who gave you life and who you should have a bond with that's unbreakable.
1:03:16Robbie:You only have one mum and she used to beat you up. She gave you 150 tuck money. She did, yeah. So not all bad. And you said earlier, alcohol fixes most things, so... Can break it as well. What did he get? I mean, I know because I'm a subscriber now, but... Yeah, so I've got Matt Moth and then for Stevie, I thought, what is the most cringy fucking embarrassing thing he can get on his body. Bear in mind, Jax, like when you look at Jax. Self-portrait. But when you look at Jax, no one would ever know anything other than, oh, that's just a love heart with moth in it. Mine's quite a big red love heart.
1:03:53Robbie:Yeah, but it's a Simpsons fan or if they don't know it's Simpsons, it's just like a love heart. Weirdly, it would have been worse if you put the ER on it. So thank you for that. That's actually just quite a good tattoo. Yeah, it's all right. It's a little Simpsons nod, isn't it? You fucked that. I didn't know! You absolutely fucked that. You could have done. I didn't have time. We were there. It was in the evening. Yeah, non-scod. I didn't think about it at the time. Do you want to see what he made me? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I've got four. What's really embarrassing, right? Who are the most embarrassing musical artists you can think of?
1:04:32Robbie:You know that couple that do songs every year about sausage rolls? Lad baby. Lad baby. I've got the phrase live, laugh, lad baby why did you do that? why did you say yes? did you know before it was on? no, you didn't know until the end I didn't see it until after it had already been put on my leg live, laugh, lad baby so Jack got the envelope so I had no choice you always have a choice and honestly, that's quite big that's not a tiny that's quite big what does Ariane think of it? I didn't think of that so I didn't tell her you didn't tell her? because I didn't know well I didn't know what I was getting did you tell her this was happening?
1:05:24yeah I said and she said you don't have to do that no you don't and I said well the concept of the video series is that if one of us gets the envelope I didn't care what the concept
1:05:33Robbie:of the video series we have to respect the golden envelopes otherwise they hold no power yeah i made they do hold no power they do they do though i didn't particularly want to go to fucking san francisco for a day yeah that was that was commitment i was on a plane twice as long as that's not the same i didn't want to go on the whole way to this really cool city no i took you to the golden gate bridge you got some cool stuff and i've now just got this on my body so i absolutely love bryce and i love the other tattoo he did for me and he did the lovely bear for you as well on your leg he did yeah and then thanks a monkey bear yeah um but i currently hate him for what he's put on my body uh and also i'm not gonna reveal this here but um well i will i don't even know what you're about to say i got the next envelope didn't i so i get to choose the next episode honestly well you'll see i'm fuming i'm just gonna get More tattoos Have you ever got tattoos Together before?
1:06:36Well we actually have A joint tattoo as well now We got a matching tattoo Have you? Yeah
1:06:43Robbie:Mine's here A little HH Didn't even know You were Kanye fans
1:06:51Like I get what that is But you know There's another meaning Don't you? We did it before He released the song And then Yeah it still had a meaning before Did you do it before 1939?
1:07:05we've abbreviated happy hour to hh since it started it should be hhp shouldn't it yeah and also no one really ever used hh for that for years because like no one's saying it anymore no one was saying it anymore until you thought you could beat the nazis you thought you could make this more popular than i'd arguably say there's more people who listen to this now than
1:07:34Robbie:there are current nazis maybe a year ago yeah and on the venn diagram that bit in the middle where they overlap with the people on our reddit and us for getting the tattoo yeah but the funnier part of all this is Bryce, our tattoo artist, loves happy hour and he let us tattoo him. So we tattooed a HH. So he's also... So he's also a Kenny O 'Connor. What if we're actually making the world a better place? Because we're thinking, fuck off all this Hitler stuff. He's good on you. Oh, well done, mate. That's big of you. Let's forget him. Don't forget him. Remember what happened. Remember what happened, but forget how his views.
1:08:24Robbie:We don't tolerate them, right? No, good, yeah. So let's move, let's get rid of HH having that meaning and instead make it mean something happening. I didn't know people abbreviated that. No, I didn't. I knew that was a thing. I didn't know people were saying, like, they'd just write HH. I thought they'd say the whole thing. And now we've got that on. So what's worse, Lad Baby or HH? Lad Baby, obviously. The thing is, you're just going to wear long socks in the summer or people are going to think you're Nazis. I've not even got long socks on now, Robbie, and I'm in shorts. Well, people are going to think you're Nazis.
1:09:02People will see that. There will generally be people who see that and think you're Nazis.
1:09:05Robbie:Okay, all fun and all jokes aside. I reckon it probably will be. There'll be some people who go, oh. Really? If they don't know. That's the last thing I want. Yeah. Yeah, we'll fuck that, haven't we? We might have to get that covered up. We thought it was a cute little... Or I had a P on the end. Well, let's say. If I get a golden envelope, then maybe we'll just go back and see Bryce. And get him covered up. Sorry, we can't realise that he's coming across a little bit nasty. And so is he, so sorry Bryce. There'll be no more tattoo videos, that's done. Yeah, never done that again. Jackandstevie.com if you want to see that, by the way, two Asian Jack.
1:09:48Now that we've done this, can I get it covered up? No.
1:09:52Robbie:No. Not if you still want the revenue.
1:09:59I'm not going to cover them up. Are you going to come on one of our trips at some point? Yep. I mean, depending on what it is. I'm not tattooing me with Nazi superhero ladies.
1:10:06Robbie:Okay, cool. So I'm going to think of a cool one that we can do, where we can go away and we can bring Robbie with us. Sweden, A-I-K. Yeah, we will do that one day. Sweden. But I've got plenty of ideas. Walk to the studio? Yeah, we could do that. We've got loads of... Robbie, get involved. Yeah. All right. We won't tattoo you. Okay. Yeah, a good one. We'll get you involved in a good one. Okay. Yeah. Are you putting out videos that are not good? No, but I mean like bad forfeit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm not doing forfeit. Or you could come along if it's a bad forfeit for one of us, but you won't have to get involved in that side of things.
1:10:38Yes, you just get... The forfeit is that I'm coming along?
1:10:40Robbie:No, no, no. If I'm stitching him up with something funny that you want to see, come along. Okay. Yeah. All right, yeah. Yeah, you get to experience it. We're all over that. Yeah, I'll come along. Is that us officially? All caught up, baby. All caught up. This has been Jackmates Happy Hour Podcast. Monday. Enjoying it. What? I don't know. I meant enjoy your Monday.
