In short
Episode topic: “Moral Dilemmas 5” plus banter about haircuts, slang/accent changes, and family mishaps (frazzles complaint, misspelled tattoo). Main dilemmas: (1) A guinea pig “cool trick” (running in circles) after the narrator accidentally drops the male while cleaning; girlfriend thinks it’s cute and may post it online—should he confess? (2) A dad’s tattoo misspells the wife’s name “Melissa” as “Malissa” after the narrator helped with a birthday card—tell her or let it become a family joke? (3) A cosplay group organizer must decide whether to remove NSFW 18+ Discord photos of a member’s “spicy” steampunk anime character ahead of a convention, balancing community “family friendly” image vs creative freedom.

1:41Jack Makes Happy Hour. Hello guys, welcome back to Jack Makes Happy Hour podcast. It's just the three of us again. Oh, you're looking good. You're looking good. Well, you are looking good, but why have you... What's going on with the hair? Look. Right. We are. It's awful. So. So. Wow. Firstly. 30 seconds in. Firstly. Yeah. It feels disgusting today because I went to the gym before coming here and realised I didn't have my own shampoo, so I had to use the wall stuff. I use that all the time. That is rank for your hair. Feels awful. Secondly, I always get into this thing where I'm like, I'm going to grow it out and then it gets to the awkward stage which is this and then I just cut it.
2:31However, remember when I got a haircut last time and you guys slated me for ages because I had that weird line in it because I went to a different barber. Terrible cut. My What? Sounded like you were trying to be cool. That's a terrible cut. I can't lie. That's my thing. My barber seems to have been I don't know if he listens, Jordan He seems to have been on holiday for the last three weeks Every time I go on Instagram he's in a different country That's called travelling But he didn't warn me about this He could have said I'm going to go away from it And I would have got cut in advance So I'm now in a situation where I don't know Where to go or who to trust after I had such a Fuck up last time Literally one of our mates is a barber So I don't know who to trust where to go so i'm yeah i'm now in a state of going do i just finally push through the awkward stage and see if i want it longer whilst i've got no choice or do i just go somewhere and hope it's very wiry yeah mate that's honestly my hair does not what's the non-awkward face what length does it get to where you're like it's where i can push it back without it flopping back forwards right why does that's the issue at the moment what if you could have ideal hairs what would they be i don't know i think i wouldn't mind a little like pushback hair but at the moment it falls back down into curtains naturally right so i'm i'll probably just get a cut to be honest i just need to see that's a good i just need to figure it out right because i'm scared if i come back in with that really solid line along one side and you got laughing again find see someone that's done a haircut you like and just go i want this one that you did yeah oh i gotta go to that exact barber as well.
4:12Yeah. Okay. Maybe my guy will be off holiday soon. Yeah, maybe. But it depends how long it takes because... Why don't you just message him if you're that tight with him? Yeah. Yeah, I could have done that, but I don't want to ruin his holiday. Yeah, it's not going to ruin his holiday. Fucking hell, babe, Stevie messaging me, asking me a trim, I can't get back for it. I can't lie. He would probably feel bad. I want to be the guy that says I can't lie. You did say before we started recording. You dropped two of them. Yeah. And I can't lie. So it's pissing you off. I like that you did like a really posh version then.
4:41And I can't lie. Why were you talking like that earlier? Bro, I can't lie. I don't know. A new thing? Yeah, the people from your village talk like that. I heard a boy who looked like the Milky Bar kid. I don't imagine that's what you look like. I grew up in a village called Debenham, which is a really small village in Suffolk and there are people there that have not been to London. Yeah, right. They have just stayed in this place. And I saw these kids walking around and I was like, oh, that's nice. I used to like, they were probably like 12, 13. I used to go around with my mates in the school holidays, get them really long like...
5:30Ice poles? Yeah. They were well good, around on the BMX. Yeah. So I'm just kind of walking and he goes past and he goes, I can't lie, she went to my dealer. How old? 12, 13. No. Jesus. I can't lie, she went to my dealer. Fuck. Did she? Probably not. Probably not, right? I've heard people in my little village talking like that. Why is it? But is that now cool? They watch YouTubers, though, who speak like that. They're watching like. But that's not your voice. No, to be fair, mate, Isaac says chat all the time. What? Isaac will just sit in normal conversation. He'll be like, did you see that chat?
6:13And I'm going, what the fuck are you doing? What? All the kids at school talk like they're watching Speed and Kaisenat and stuff constantly now. It's the weirdest thing ever. And I always just go, there's no chat, Isaac. And he's just going, oh, shut up. Like he just thinks that's how they talk now. I can't lie. No, no, he's not there. But he doesn't change his accent or anything. but he'll use lingo from YouTubers and streamers because that's normal. But he doesn't watch these streamers, but obviously all the boys at school talk like that, so he's just used to saying it as well now. So kids are going round.
6:44This is blowing my mind. Kids are going round going as if they're live streaming. Mate, yes. And I always say, you're not live. Why are you talking like that? So they go, thanks to the two parents? No, they just do the chat element, like loads of people are watching. They're looking at the comments. Yeah. Stop hating me, chat. It's like that. What are they looking at though? Yeah. I don't know. He's just saying it's like - What's he looking at when he's saying - They'll be playing Fortnite or something. I can't believe it. Did you see that chat? There's no chat. I can't believe it. Did you see that chat?
7:13Yeah, honestly, it's the weirdest thing ever. Yeah. It's insane. They're just talking like they're watching YouTubers constantly. Fucking hell, that's mad. And then with the accent thing - Yeah. Because I don't know if that's me just being old and out of - Is that out of order? I don't - You can't just pick. You can't think that accent sounds cool, so I'm just going to run with that. But also, right, like, and maybe I'm just not clued up on this, but, like, a London accent, right, is obviously, like, your Cockney accent. That's where it comes from. Obviously, London's this, like, pool of different cultures and stuff, and there will be different accents naturally come up.
7:54But this roadman accent, I don't know when that... No, I think there are people that have that accent and that's fine. If you live in the area, but not if you live in a village. Yeah. Where you've probably been to London once with Lion King with your mum. You can't just suddenly like... That's because they're watching creators like Mini Minter and that. But I grew up... Does he speak like that? He's got a bit of that. Does he? Does he? Yeah. I can't lie, he does. I grew up watching Rastamouse. I wasn't going around... And that's why you squeak. I wasn't going around school doing that accent. You can't just pick it.
8:38I think you can, though. You can do it. Is that all right? Well, I grew up watching The Office and I just took loads of Gervais, like, Brent-isms. It's the same thing, isn't it? It's the same thing, isn't it? But, like, if you liked... I wonder if you had a different accent if you would then start talking, like... we grew up listening to Kyle Pilkington. We didn't put a Manchester accent on. Yeah, true. But it's the people you admire, though. It's the people you want to be like. But that's also one that's considered cool, I guess. It is cool. It does sound cool. Does it sound cool? I think it sounds cool.
9:14I can't lie. If you actually have it, I think it sounds cool, yeah. You don't know who actually has it anymore? That's the thing, who actually has it? I think if you grew up in London and you're around that all the time. Then you can talk like that. yeah because that's just where you're from yeah does your sister yeah like any canadian accent yeah no she started picking up any of that no no no that's what i mean she's she's lived there for ages but she's not even slightly picking it up so so can what we're saying here because i imagine this is a fine line to tread yeah can white kids from debonham who have no connection to london talk with a street London accent.
9:58Maybe, who are we to say? Well, they're not hurting anyone. They're not hurting anybody. Well, they are if he's fucking 12 going, she wanted my D. Who's that hurting? He's clearly not, no, but that's not normal, is it? No, it's not normal. It's not nice. No. I saw some kids, I might've said this before on the pub, but last summer I saw these kids and they were near where I live. And one of them went, I beg you I beg you let me take a pen and I'll ping it top bins you give me ten a year like that I saw what he was talking he was probably about ten and they were taking shots in this goal and then the other one went yeah yeah calm calm chucked him the ball and I was just like having to watch this because it was fascinating and this boy took a put the ball down and he goes weak foot you know like that ran up pinged this ball supposedly it was weak foot and it went the most top binge I've ever seen I was like, fair enough.
10:52You've won the accent. You've won the accent. You're allowed. You're allowed. It would have been worse if he'd missed. Yes. I'd have gone, man can't even back up his claims, you know. But he did. You're quite good at it. Am I? You are weirdly good at it. Maybe it's because they grew up watching kind of like the kid-althood and the adulthood. That's what it is. It's what you're watching. As you said about your Gervais thing, you're doing that. I guess, I don't know how different it is with an accent, but if you're consistently watching creators or whatever you're constantly watching and you're always picking up on the same way they speak and the same accent, you're probably bound to pick it up.
11:22It's not just that accent either. If someone starts putting on a posh accent after what, I don't know. Yeah. Why does that annoy me? I need to fucking stop being such a cynical bastard. No, it's all right to get annoyed at trivial stuff. No, that's silly. Just let them talk how they want. So when Joey Barton went over to Marseille and started speaking with a French accent. Oh, well, that's funny. What a tit. I'm not like, ugh, ugh. Yeah, but you're not about that anyway. I don't think you are angry, really. No. No. But if I, like, what would you honestly say to me as my friend if, like, I wasn't ironically going, like, if we just did the pod and I was going, I can't lie, Stevie, that's funny, man.
12:03And you'd be like, wait. I'd be confused. I'd be like, why are you suddenly doing this? Because that's what Declan Rice gets ripped for a lot. Yeah, he plays into it a bit, doesn't he? He had, like, a do-rag on his story or something or something the other day. And also he is around people from London who talk like that. So he is from London as well. So it's all right, isn't it? I think so. Who are we to say? Yeah. Let's move on. It's the change, isn't it? It's the change that cynical old men don't like. Yeah. We are cynical old men now. Yeah, we are. Well, I just saw those kids in Debenham and I was like, oh.
12:40It didn't help with what he said, though. What he said, yeah. If he just had the accent, you'd probably go, yeah if he went do you know what Fanta Lemon's sick you know you'd have been like fine yeah lovely beverage yeah you probably wouldn't have even remembered that he had the accent but it's because he's talking about giving a young lady his peace yeah what else you've been up to Jack not a lot but I don't know if you remember four or five years ago on this podcast I spoke about when I was a kid and I stayed around my cousins and we made a like a like a um like a thing we know you don't even remember how we meant it was it was like a story about is a beaver and a frog oh your old magazine thing you did yeah it was like a but you could you could it was like a we did it on powerpoint presentation you could click through and it'd be a every week the beaver would be on a new tail yeah and i don't know if you remember what we called it 107 yeah and it was a bit of a thing back on the podcast back in the day it it was called 100 107 because i said to my cousin reese at one point how much do you love your beaver and he said 110 and i said that's really cute that's how kids spoke back then yeah yeah do you know what i mean and then um well that was lost in the depths of time yeah i might have found it oh how i might have found it because basically there was like a back in the day it's like all trivial but there was like a family feud so half my family went one way half my family went another way and the the person who had the access to this yeah who helped me make this when we was younger as my auntie and we didn't speak for many years and then my cousin recently got married and she was at the wedding and being adults now and just every it's all water under a bush whatever they say the Bridge, probably.
14:33Bridge, bridge. Yeah, unless you've sneezed, didn't it? That's a joke from probably two weeks ago now in the schedule. Brilliant. And she come up to me and said, I found 107%. And I said, I need that. I need that for the pod. Oh, yes. So if I can get it and play it on the pod. That'd be amazing. That'd be so good. Yeah, because even though we were kids, there was a bit where there was one episode where the beaver's looking out the window and he sees this bear bringing in drugs. Like a bag opens and there's a needle. how old were you making this? 8, 9 you knew about all that? yeah I grew up in Marl Cross mate the ends mate the ends and then it turns out that they basically get this guy done get the bear done I won't spoil it for everyone who's not seen it but it turns out the bear was a doctor and he was bringing legal drugs oh and he's misunderstood misunderstood nice twist yeah nice little twist there was one where he had to fight like Black Mirror yeah Charlie Brookham might be knocking on my door I was going to get the rights there was one where like Beaver wanted to fight freddy so the frog so they did like we did a dun dun dun dun montage yeah there's lots coming oh i really want to see it yeah bring it brilliant i'll bring it are you ready for the theme of today's app i'm just going to give you guys a quick update on on my dad being a karen okay i've been waiting until i could get us three together again because i told you guys about my dad's frazzles incident yes and my dad listens to this and i'm calling him out here and he knows I'm showing you this.
16:01Okay. Audio listeners, I am sorry, but I'll let the boys describe it. But please just look at this. Can you remember why he complained to frazzles? Because there weren't enough bacon strips, colours on his frazzle. Yeah. I asked him to find the email so I could actually see just how bad the frazzles were. He's got too much time on his hands, hasn't he? He sent me the picture. Okay. What was the outcome, sorry, of this? They gave him a£7 voucher to buy new frazzles. And I said to him, did you use that? And he said, it wasn't about getting it. It was about the principle. and he never used it and it's expired.
16:31Okay. So he did the emails for nothing. Here's the picture. How would you say they look? Like frazzles? Yeah. Show Alfie. He sent in a complaint about those because they weren't, they didn't have the stripes enough apparently. They do have the stripes. They do have the fucking stripes. There's a couple where the stripes are a little maybe in the grooves but they're just frazzles aren't they that's that's uh well i'm not gonna have you got the email no because he couldn't find the exact um for some reason it wouldn't show it all i was trying to look at it they replied saying that the reason they aren't as stripy is because they were um slightly undercooked and then they that's why they gave him the seven pound but i just wanted to show you guys that so we can at last say, Dad, you are a caravan.
17:29You are a caravan. That is mentally, isn't that? That's so, is stripy that I would never even think to look at those that they weren't. Yeah. I've had frazzles that have less stripes on me. Yeah, same. I reckon I have. I might start complaining to frazzles now. Yeah. They sound like an easy company to get something out of. Yeah. What? But they're saying that they're not cooked enough. So is it the cooking process that puts the... I guess so. They're not actually putting them a grill, are they? That's food colouring. no one said grill why would the cooking give them their colour well they're painting them on well like the machine is doing summer I reckon yeah I reckon it's going under maybe it's drizzling I don't know then that would be even less important because I remember saying to him what did they taste like and he said the same why are you complaining I just thought you guys would want to know that their frazzles literally looked like normal frazzles yeah well it's good that frazzles are taking their complaint seriously I think everyone can just start email and frazzles.
18:26Who was it? Smith's. Yeah. Is that us done then? We're all caught up, baby. You're caught up. Now, today. Right. You know last time it was us three and you said that we did a lot of bangers back in the day and we haven't revisited some of the ideas. Yes. What did we do last time? We did Everybody Has a Price, didn't we? So I thought this week what we will do is Moral Dilemmas. Nice. I've got my story asking people to send me some Moral Dilemmas. um i have and i have one from a friend who i won't name that has submitted me one a month ago that i've been sitting on okay so basically and then we have a few more filler ones because i didn't get as many as i'd like from the listeners so we have a few filler ones uh that fiona's found so this is a mixture of listeners my friends and ones we found online okay moral dilemmas um and The four that I've come in with today, I've given a nice little quirky title to.
19:23Okay. And what do we do again? Well, we have to decide where you go. What would we do? Yeah, okay. What would we do? Now, we did... What was it a few weeks ago when we spoke about the cat killing the... Can I see the top of your... Okay, no. What? Just wanted to see whether it said moral dilemmas or morale dilemmas. What does it say? Morale. What's the difference? Just put the E at the end. No, it's like morale-y. What? I've given it a bit of panache, Stevie. Okay, fine. I've given it a completely different meaning. Yeah. Okay. Now, a couple months ago, we did an episode with all four of us, I think, and there was a story about a cat killing a hamster?
20:02Yeah, killing the neighbour's guinea pig. What was that? Well, why did we do that? Can't remember. Right, okay. Well, this one's a bit similar, but has a different kind of feel to it. Right, now, I want you guys to really help the listeners here. Okay. Really give your best opinion you can give today. Okay. So I've called this, made a real pig's ear of this. Okay. Interesting. If it's a cat killing a guinea pig, that's the same story. It's not. It's not. Okay. My new girlfriend of nine months recently went on holiday with her mum and her two brothers, and I was given the task of looking after their house.
20:35It was confessions. That's it. I was allowed to stay over if I wished, but I opted not to as I didn't feel comfortable. Instead, I would just pop in once or twice a day to feed her pets. she only has four guinea pigs so not too much admin needed however two days before she got back i decided to go the extra mile and clean the guinea pig cage completely and whilst doing this i needed i needed to transfer the four guinea pigs into a sort of temporary home so i could clean their main pen sort of thing and be nice about this guy because he is a happy hour listener okay when putting them into their temporary box i dropped one of them the only male accidentally after he freaked out in my hands and i think i've given the guinea pig brain damage as he now only runs around in circles again and again and again carry on my girlfriend came back from holiday and was thrilled that i'd cleaned their cage however she did notice this pretty she didn't notice this pretty quickly after coming back you would do yeah and instead of owning up to my mistake i thought i told her i'd spent the week teaching him a really cool new trick i cannot quite believe how this has escalated instead of what how do you tell oh sorry i taught him to do that i cannot i uh but instead of being worried she actually thinks it's quite cute that i put time and effort into teaching her pet a trick she's even gone further and has filmed the guinea pig doing the circles and she is considering uploading it to YouTube.
22:08I don't know with some title like Abyssinian pig does cool spinny trick. But I'm worried the comments will instantly just let her know it's not a cool trick, but instead brain damage. How do I tell her I fucked the pig up? Or do I even tell her at all?

I think his mistake here is not just going, I have no idea what you're on about. about the spinning rather than just relinquishing all well i think if you make the decision to not own up to it don't get in this weird web of lies where you've taught a trick because how have you has you not gone how have you taught the trick and why won't it stop doing the trick yeah well yeah show me how you can teach these three how to do the trick as well that's what i'd be up it's go sorry you have to leave the room yeah yeah he's doing it now yeah i this was so similar to something that happened to me though like oh really yeah because when i first got with fee um she actually is so weirdly similar she had four guinea pigs was one of them a boy fee one of them was a boy and i dropped the boy as well this isn't me no this genuinely isn't me but i'm back then yeah i dropped the uh i was holding the boy on her bed and i dropped the it come out of my hand and it didn't land on the bed it landed by the side of the bed and i thought i've killed it and there's no getting out of that but i can see where this guy's gone down the route of i've done a cool thing i've died no that's the bit i don't get yeah dropping it completely understandable yeah like it happens it's freaked out in your hand like that's scary my isaac's hamster did that to me i put it in my hand it just jumped it just fully i just hold held it like that and it just went was all right did not want to be mad yeah absolutely fine but like i was stood up as well so from there and a tiny little thing he just jumped off the end land on the floor and hid under something then we managed to get him back and he was absolutely fine but they do that yeah so it's like at that point you just you just have to own up to it what if the pig has always done that what if that's its thing well it hasn't because she's come back and said is it eating and i feel like i need more info here like has it ever stopped doing that or does it intermittently do that also maybe it's not brain damage maybe as it landed it broke a leg so it can't lean on one side so he's only going in circles then it'll heal and it'll be normal again yeah my nan's dog has a sort of like a gammy joint like what like a limp yeah my nan's dog two front legs two hind legs and the hind leg when when it runs it like it it drags it it drags that leg oh right but this is weird right because obviously me and fee have been like we'll fucking take it to the vet yeah what are you doing but they've taken it to the vet and the vet just goes oh it's just something in the joint we can't really do anything about it and the dog's not in any pain doesn't whimper runs about like a normal dog but when it runs it just has like this like this limb just sort of hanging yeah that doesn't sound nice does it but i feel like the The vets have not pulled their weight there whatsoever.
26:44Apparently, and I probably need to get more info from my nan, but apparently she's taken it a few times and they've gone, it's fine, the dog will be fine. Sometimes it's weird because it can use the leg, like it will get up on its hind feet to get food off you and that. But when it runs, it just opts to run with free legs. Sometimes that leg comes up a bit and other times it... Maybe that's a cool trick they taught him. Maybe that dog's been dropped on its head. So what do we do here then? I think he should have told her straight away. Should have told her, but he hasn't now. So we need to plan here.
27:16Yeah, he's fucked up. What, you think it's too late now? I think it's too late now. I think... Well, no, you're right. So there's an option here. I think there's two options. One is just leave it, and the other is own up to it. But if it does go... Anything else you do is making it messier, surely. Yeah. If it does get uploaded anywhere, people will go... I've heard about a guinea pig like that on this podcast. You should listen to the story of that, because your boyfriend probably dropped this. Do you reckon if I Google guinea pigs running in circles, it'll be up by now? What if you just Google it as a thing and see it?
27:49Drops guinea pig, now it's running in circles. My guinea pig runs in circles. Could it be concussion? Could it be stress? Yeah. Like how many days has this gone on for? Oh, guinea pig running in circles 13 years ago. Oh, they've been doing it for years, these guys. I bet it's a stress response. All guinea pigs. Do you reckon it's a... Do you? Maybe running in circles isn't... That's so bloody sad. Guinea pig running in circles. Maybe they just love doing it. He might get away with it, you know? If it's like eating and drinking, that's all right, isn't it? So what are we saying? As the dilemma, the dilemma is do you or don't you tell the truth?
28:26I'd just lay low now. I think originally he should have said something, but he's fucked it. He's left it too long and he's made up a whole elaborate lie. This is like a life lesson, isn't it? Like tackle your problems head on. Yeah. Yeah. Too long, fucked it. Hope. Yeah. Too late? I think it's too... I don't know. Go along with it. What would happen now, right, if he was to own up? What would the girl do? She'd go, you've fucked my pig up. Would she take it to the vets and it could get better, though? Don't know. Because if there's a chance of that, then you've got to own up. That's true. But I don't know how that works.
29:03I'd just enter it into a lot of crafts or something. It wouldn't get anywhere. What? They're running in circles. They just keep going in circles. Of course. Or like a specific trick category. Look at that. It's good, isn't it? There we go. Yeah, maybe they'll make a load of money off it. Yeah, they'll get one of those rosettes. That's our advice, is it? Yeah. Enter it into a comp. There we go. You're welcome. Hope that helped. Okay, an A for an E leaves the whole world blind. Okay, I called this one. I was proud of that one. Say it again. An A for an E leaves the whole world blind. An A for an E.
29:38A and E. accident and emergency well the the you know the actual phrase don't you the i for an i for an i leaves the whole world yeah an a for an e leaves the whole world my dad is really lovely really lovable friendly man who keeps himself to himself however he is quite shit at spelling he is not the brightest fella for example for my entire life he has written words how they sound for my 13th birthday he wrote let's go city in my birthday card but spelt city s-i-t-t-y okay nice what is it just saying let's go city oh the team yeah i thought you were saying shall we go to the city let's go city that is weird like i said he's absolutely harmless and does everything for the family but just cannot spell anyway him and my mum's 20 year anniversary wedding anniversary is coming up and he asked me to help write the words in the card he got her which obviously i did happily it was really cute but here's the fucking really weird thing he has also got a tattoo done by his friend that for some reason he did not ask to check and you can probably tell me and you can probably tell where this is going there's a terrible spelling mistake in it not a wrong date nothing wrong with the picture of the rose but my mum's actual name oh my mum's name is melissa spelled m-e-l-l-i-s-a and him and his friend have spelt it malissa how can a man who who has been married to a woman for 20 years, spell the name so wrong.
31:10Why did a man who asked me to check a fucking birthday card not ask me to check the tattoo? I literally have only seen this last night and so far haven't said anything. My mum hasn't seen it yet. What do I do? He has to tell her. He has to tell him before the mum sees it. But what are they going to do? What can you do? What are they going to do? Get it covered, sorted. Or blame the tattoo artist. the tattoo artist does have a lot to answer for it doesn't yeah did he not go are you sure it's spelled like that because i've never seen that version of unless that person's bad at spelling as well yeah and he's his friend so he if he's his friend he knows his wife is called melissa probably got him on facebook yeah it's but but but like when i got my first ever tattoo and it said fortune's always hiding the guy went to spell that wrong it was only until he got to that bit of the word he put fortunes always hidden egg so he'd put the n and the d the wrong way around so and i and i was looking at it upside down and i was a bit queasy because it was the first time i'd ever had yeah and it weren't until he got to that i'd watched him tattoo all the other words and then i was like sorry is the does that say and then he went oh no right so what's happened is they're so used to just doing the they're they're locked in on doing the tracing or whatever you'd call it that they're not even looking but I feel like that should have been brought up who's at fault here?
32:36is it the tattoo artist? I don't think anyone's done anything purposely wrong tattoo artist tattoo artist shouldn't notice made a mistake do you say anything though? it must be hard as a tattoo artist if it's a name as well because names can be spelled in so many different ways I might have a perfect way of getting out of this go on get Get a pet, buy a pet and call it Malissa. And then immediately get the name of the pet tattooed on your arm. Yeah. Before your actual wife. But then get another one that is Malissa. And that means I love you as much as I love my new pet. And also, what would you do if he went, can we name our pet and then it's one letter difference to your name?
33:21What if it's called Jick? Yeah. You'd think it was like, why? That's a weird name. That's unusual. So is Malissa. I think he's fucked, isn't he? He is fucked, but I like your idea of blaming the tattoo artist. But then the issue is if it's his friend, she's just going to go up to him and go, what the fuck have you done that nigga? He spelled it wrong. Yeah. I think potentially... Removal. Yeah. This is going to sound really nasty and harsh. It's done now. Your dad's done this. See what? Just leave it. The mum will know. see what happens the mum will know the dad's bad at spelling yeah will it be a nice funny after a while is that quite a funny like family story would you like if ali got your name tattooed and she put like elfie yeah god fucking thing it was so funny yeah because it's not on you is it you idiot i'd think that was so funny yeah i think it's okay maybe this is going to create a lovely family moment.

34:24Because I'm thinking of them at like barbecues and stuff. Show him. Go and show him. Yeah. And then it's like, oh, I'm bad at spelling. And then it's like, ah, ha, ha, ha. Yeah, it is, isn't it? He's right. He's tried to do, the dad almost is like, tried his best to do something really lovely and got it wrong, a bit wrong. And it's quite endearing. Yeah. And if he's always known as the guy who spells wrong, then you're kind of just living up to that little. I think, yeah, I think the initial will be annoyance though. The initial look. Do you think? Like you don't even know me that well. And then he will be annoyed as well.
34:58Yeah. That that's happened. What if she leaves him? Why would she? No. He clearly loves her. Over the tattoo? No. He clearly loves her enough to get the name tattooed. So they're pretty tight. So just crack on? No, just tell her. I think maybe if you tell the dad, are you going to cause him loads of stress? Oh, so would you pre-warn the mum? That's what I'm saying. No, I think I would... Would you pre-warn the dad? Personally, I think I would not have been able to not go, Dad, you've spelt it wrong when I first looked at it. So that's shown some quite good self-control there. Yeah, I'd tell them straight away.
35:39What if you say to the mum, look, Dad's got you this lovely thing. He has made a mistake, but just don't call him out for it. Then he'd always think her name is Matt. If he ever needs to write her name down anywhere, I'll just go... He must have seen her name and then go, oh no he's obviously just had a fucking howler isn't he I think if you're going to tell anyone it's the dad but I don't think you need to I'm feeling stressed for the dad going oh no I can't show her film it and make it a TikTok tell you what that would go massive so it'd go viral get a clip out of it it would embarrass your dad but you'd have a little bit of bad rev okay this next one is called An Amazing Costume, but a bit risky.
36:25Anime. Some title. Anime, An Amazing Costume. Anime. An Amazing Costume. Yeah. Brackets. But a bit risky. A bit risky. Okay. I'm the organizer of a small tight-knit cosplay group that focuses on obscure steampunk anime characters from a lesser-known 90s series. We're prepping for a major convention where we've got a shot at winning a rare group cosplay award, which could elevate our little community's visibility. One of our most dedicated members, who spent months perfecting an intricate costume, recently posted some spicy, not-safe-for-work photos of their character on our group's private Discord, hoping to build hype.
37:06The photos don't technically break the server rules, as it is an 18-plus server anyway, but they've upset a few members who feel it sexualises the character in a way that clashes with the usually wholesome vibe of the group in the anime's themes. these members want the photos taken down and are hinting that they might skip the con if they stay up which could tank our group performance since we need everyone there for choreography the the cosplayer though says it's their artistic expression and feels censored if we remove the posts oh so it's being brought up to them yeah they're also one of our best crafters and one of the biggest pledges in our patreon for our patreon website and their absence would hurt our chances i'm torn do i side with the upset members to keep the group's unity and family friendly image or do i defend the cosplayers creative freedom risking a split in our tiny community right before the big event oh that's nice yeah this is really tricky why are they upset why are what upset the the people i think they're worried about their own image on the day when it's like here's all our outfits and then one of them's she's unlikely i don't think she's What?
38:17What character is that? One of them's got like a butt plug in their ass. I don't think she's planning to go to the event. I don't think she's planning to go to the event like that. She's just done a photo shoot like that as a separate thing. Oh, I thought it was of her costume. I think she's got that, but I think the photos... How do we know it's a she? I thought you said it was. No?
38:40Now I'm seeing stuff. The women in anime are much more sexualized than the men so it could be a man that is dressed hang on wait so i don't even understand this so so is it i don't get what they're wearing and in the photo yeah as they're dressing up as this thing yeah they're dressing up as an anime character there are a lot of anime can be really like hyper sexualized yeah it is a bit strange you know some of it can be yeah yeah a lot of it's not kid friendly anyway so it depends i it's really awkward that i wish they said which anime because if it is like a really family friendly anime then they shouldn't be sexualizing the characters well that's say it's pokemon well then that's mental like because that would be weird they're saying it's family friendly their group so maybe this person should read the room but the discord is but then who that's their expression are we being like horrible by being like you have to wear this you have to wear i think it depends what it is like Pokemon's weird because they're all kids.
39:41Yeah. So it's a... Why is it a problem? You just have some fucking... I'm a sexy ditto, but... Why, right? There was also nothing actually sexy about it. He was wearing a bikini. I was in a big blob. He was wearing a bikini. Who? Yeah. When? Halloween. You wore a bikini for Halloween? Can I see? You've seen it. I was the big pink. Oh, that's not a bikini. See, exactly. That's what I'm saying. he was dressed up as a sexy this little fella he was dressed up as that in a bikini oh that's what I mean that's not actually sexualized yeah do you know what that's called yes what
40:22flamby flabster flabby flabster flabby flabster you think that's called no no no I didn't say that what do you think it's called
40:33goop goop not a million miles away what's it called goopy so that's not too bad about one mile away then what's it called Goopy it's called Goopy look at it what's it called why's he getting angry you're trying to make me go oh my god I nearly got it which I've done too many times with this Pokemon thing no that is called Goopy though that time yeah well I'm not allowing myself to get excited by the fact I nearly got it well try and do do the one next to it then what's that called that's a rubber duck
41:12Right, what's this one called? It's two words combined to make one. It's a bit like a Studio Gilby character. It's... Ghibli. I don't know what any of that means. It's a platter... Blink. Platter blink? Splatter splink. That's a Snorlax. I knew that fuck yeah shall we try one more I'm well bored of this it's not with the listeners don't worry but well done on on Gooby thank you it's quite Gooby I meant Glooby Gloopy oh my god what was this question again Ditto that's called a Ditto oh of course it is yeah yeah yeah sick it was this is the sexy anime one yeah I think I need to find out if this person is wearing this costume at the convention yeah Because if they're not, those other people just need to not look at those photos and just scroll and they're gone.
42:12They're probably not going to post them again because there's been this fallout. So just leave it. What do we think the photos are? Well, as I said, I think so many anime characters are sexualised anyway. It could literally just be normal photos, but the outfit is... What's the outfit? Talk us through it, Stevie. What are you seeing? It depends. I don't want depends. What are you seeing? The first thing that came to mind was... Yeah, here we go. Well, I like an anime called... I like one called Seven Deadly Sins. You like... An anime called Seven Deadly Sins, which is about the demon race and loads of fighting and stuff.
42:50But there's one character in that called Merlin, like the magician, but she's in revealing clothes, so she could just be wearing that. You like that, do you? Well, she's probably one of the least... What's revealing clothes? I don't know what you're saying. Yeah, what's revealing? she's wearing like a purple like kind of like coat yeah but just nothing below it a huge coat a huge long coat but like nothing below it so it's always just up to there and you can just see like cleavage and then belly and belly button and how long does the coat go down all the way down to like long it's long oh you can see the vagina no she's got knickers on
43:30detail in which you know that no because that's what i mean like yeah they're all like
43:37that's what anime's like that's like well over but meliodas well say pants i'd never say pants i'd never say pants who's this lassie what's her name seven deadly sins merlin and like meliodas is always grabbing boobs and stuff in that what yeah it's well weird honestly grabbing boo yeah honestly grabbing merlin's boobs nah he likes elizabeth i don't know what version he's been watching but it's pretty safe she's already covered up she's got a big scarf on as well no that's she's never dressed like that could not be not be more covered up you're literally choosing what you can see the actual one what are you talking about yeah that's what she's always like
44:27imagine that was put in your discord and there's a little heart on the so they so they could be wearing um that's what i mean like so many characters in anime are like that i can understand if you're a little more on the prudish side and you have like so like would you does it feel a little bit like someone sent you kinky photos that you never asked for yeah like an unsolicited kinky photo but i don't it's over and it's crossing a boundary but i don't think probably that i don't think if you're in an anime community you should be shocked by that kind of stuff when as i said like it's family friendly that's usually pg and someone's just randomly chucked this image do we know someone sent me a picture of like a rye horn with a no i know but do we you'd fucking love it you'd find that hilarious i would find it funny but do we know that the anime that they're watching is family friendly because there aren't they've said that in the thing they've said the group is family friendly it doesn't mean the show they're watching is if you drink like because you're what if they're using their sort of like they're getting something out of it but they're trying to disguise it so it's like say like a weird guy was like getting a thing out of sending a dick pic but they like painted a little character on the dick okay you need to like what like a painted little anime character like what I don't know painted like um like a little squirtle what part of it what where on the whole shaft up the whole thing squirtle and then like what happens when it becomes a blast and then they sent pictures of that into a group chat you'd be going you've painted it's a bit of a jump it's a bit of a jump yeah similar similar thing but they haven't said she's naked she might be dressed like merlin right which is a bit weird it's a bit much but an anime thing you'd go oh that's merlin i think this person has misread the tone of the group and maybe feels a little bit embarrassed so he's doubling down on well no this is my thing and i'm gonna yeah no one's done anything has anyone done anything wrong i can't i feel like it really depends on what the image is yeah it's really hard to fully judge i also wouldn't if you know there's like married people in there is that a bit out of order if it's a really risky photo yeah maybe is that a bit out of order them as well you're not just putting a cartoon in you're going yeah look at me i wish you'd stop speaking about the knockers someone you're about to spend time with as well yeah and then you've got to go i'm just off to that person to the event remember those with miss yeah what miss miss big knockers we don't know any dimensions they've got big knockers okay that doesn't surprise me
47:28okay so what we're saying is the uh answer to all of this i think i i reckon she should just take the photos down and but i think as long as she's not dressing inappropriately at the event it's so it should all be fine so on the foot what these photos are yeah because we could look at them go oh that's not bad at all yeah or we could look at them and go whoa that's a little bit risque. Why are you... I think they would have mentioned that. Yeah, that's something you don't skim over. No. Fair enough. Okay, so we can't really make a value... Without seeing the photos. We don't send us the photos.
48:06We're not asking to be sent the photos. Don't put your email in. Dot com. Well, you can if you want. No, I don't want to see them. Okay, next one. This one is called a card sell. Is this just Cardsmate? Are you just promoting Cardsmate? No, I don't mention it once yet, but you've mentioned it. So if people do want to keep Cardsmate, check it out, Cardsmate on Instagram. You said when you mentioned this one, I should mention Cardsmate.
49:58What's that? What's a box break? Well, Alfie, no, I can't do that. That's fucking cringe. Rice, rice, baby. A card sell. For the past five years, me and my friends have been into collecting luxury football cards, the same ones that Jack does. On Cardsmate. Go check it out. We all absolutely love getting very cheap deals. On his Whatmas rooms. No, and we all absolutely love it. Anyway, last summer I bought an expensive Pedri Rookie card. And one of one on eBay. This is written terribly. So it's not written great. Maybe it's written by that person's dad. I've got a Melissa one of one tattoo. Pedri rookie card, one of one on eBay, ungraded for an incredible price.
50:47I'd say it was worth about£1 ,000 at the time, and I essentially won the auction for a third of the valued price. I was in love with the card and even had offers of above£1 ,000 for it on Instagram the following week. I really didn't want to sell it, and I couldn't believe I got it for the bargain that I got it. Anyway, last Christmas I lost my job that I had been in for six years due to the company going under. I was devastated as it was three weeks before Christmas and I didn't know if I'd be able to afford getting my family and friends presents. I decided it was time to sell the Pedri card to get some funds in.
51:20My best mate, who I won't name, bought the card off me for£1 ,100 cash. I was happy because it wasn't going to a stranger and I figured once I got another job and got some money together I could buy it back at the same price. I used the I used the£1 ,100 to get all of my family presents. We had a lovely Christmas. Phew. However, the other day I was scouring eBay again, looking for similar cards, and there it was. The Pedri card on eBay with bids up to£3 ,000. I couldn't believe it. I messaged my friend to ask why he was selling it, and he replied, I'm not selling it. Ooh. Was he lying? I got digging.
52:05Turns out, nope, he wasn't. It gets worse. I checked the username of the person selling the one of one Pedri card, and it was somebody in Asia, meaning that either my original card or this card was actually a fake. I had a sinking feeling in my stomach. I decided to scroll back through my eBay purchase history to find the person who originally sold me my card, and their account was now inactive, and in the past six months had received loads of negative feedback, five of which cited selling fake goods i was pretty certain the original pedri card that i bought and sold to my friend i am now pretty certain that the original pedri card i bought and sold to my friend for 1100 is fake i don't have the money to refund him now and he loves the card so what do i do i feel so sorry for this person yeah that's so much better of a story than i was expecting i would be an anxious mess about that yeah here's what i'd do step by step oh go on alf go on alf i was thinking it as you were saying it yeah i would say to my friend this has happened let's go and get this looked at by a professional to find out if it's fake or not right buy yourself a little bit of time and then if it turns out it is fake yeah he's pretty certain it is say i don't have the money right now but i'll pay you 100 pound a month till i've paid you back is what i'd do wow because then you're doing the right thing you have to if it's your friend like if it was you and i didn't have the money i'd be really stressed but you would understand yeah the reason i even did this in the first place because i didn't have the money yeah and you know i'm good for the money and i'll pay you back i just cannot physically do it right now but i also don't want to screw you over that is a great answer and a lovely answer however whenever when they sold the card they sold it thinking it was the real thing yeah so the fault is that this scammer ebay guy yeah but you're only 300 pound thanks to the fault of the scammer you've upsold it to your mate an extra 800 haven't you yeah so you've also got an extra 800 off your mate and expected to be able to buy it back anyway he did have in his mind that he wanted to buy it back oh so you think he should buy it back for the same yeah yeah i think i think maybe yeah but I think you could do it in instalments and your mate would understand.
54:23But I would go and get it looked at first just in case it is real and it buys you a little bit of time. It's also going to be so much worse if the guy loves it for now, but imagine in a year's time he goes, I do want to sell it and then realise it's fake. If the guy loves it and you're confident he's going to keep it, is there a case to be made that just let him keep it? In that case, let him keep it, but put 100 aside for now and then play dumb when he says I found out this is a fake and then go I'll give you the money back you've already been keeping it aside the whole time start saving start doing what Alfie said 100 pound a month aside and then maybe in a year you'll have enough to give it back to him if he then goes I've just found out this is a fake go I'm so sorry mate I'll give you the money back for it how about this then right so I've just sorted this in my head right where else could you think of it you know what you're thinking with is the anime
55:19you know um say right i'm just trying to make up like a moral dilemma in my head what about this right say your friend like loves his like nan i don't know right and then his what are you saying i don't know after that the most simple sentence i don't know can you love your nan and then his nan dies yeah and his treasured possession is say like um a letter that his nan wrote him right but you knew that the nan didn't write that letter and it was written by what yeah you just wouldn't tell him you wouldn't you wouldn't say no but that's different they're not been financially implicated by that what you'd let yeah i went If it was you, I would 100 % never tell a soul and just leave it with myself if I found that out.
56:11Just let you. Really? You're better off just believing it is. And if you're ever a dick to me, I'll fucking drop that on you. Like a lead sign. What if it was written by like an evil person like Myra Hindley? If you knew Myra Hindley had written this letter, but the guy thought it was... Oh, leave it. Leave it. So he's going to school or going to work every day with this letter and kissing it, but it was written by the hands of a murderer. That's a tough one. That's a thinker. Not for me. Don't leave that. Way too much drama. None doing me. Right, so for Pedri, we're just saying, don't say anything right now.
56:49But be prepared to pay him back. I'm saying, I think I'm saying say something now. And get it checked. Because also, do you want that looming over you? I'm horrible for stuff looming. if I feel like something's looming and might come out one day. Yeah. You're an overthinker. Yeah. So I, it depends who you are, but I would be inclined to just be like transparent and be like, I don't know if it's fake. Let's find out if it's fake. Or get it, convince him to list it on eBay, say it's a real and just give it the problem to someone else. But then what if it is the real one and you've got rid of it even though you wanted to keep it?
57:27He's confident it ain't the real one. But the issue is here. You've already had the conversation. You've already said to this mate, why are you selling it surely the mate's now going why did you think i was selling it yeah like surely he's already aware something's going on yeah i'd say something if they're a good mate they're not going to be annoyed at you and because if you don't say anything and then it gets found out there's gonna be part of your mate that's like did you know this did you scan me yeah maybe he can enter a one pound breaker cards mate and hope to get a better card for his friend there you go available on whatnot last one you are a doctor you have five patients who all need various organ transplants oh so this is a hypothetical okay all five of these patients are also experts in their field e.g medical research physics etc so if they were to live would make incredible breakthroughs which would could potentially save or improve the lives of millions you haven't found any matches and your patients are just days away from death then out of nowhere a random person comes into the emergency room with a slightly infected cut but is otherwise healthy you discover that this person just happens to be a perfect match for your five patients waiting for organ transplants this random person you don't know their family you don't know who's waiting for them but if you were to inject him with a traceless drug in your possession they would die and you could safely harvest their organs and save the other patients aside from you no one would ever know do you kill the random person or use their uh and use their organs to save the patients or treat the random person send them on their way and let the five patients die this is why i didn't become a doctor so annoyed at that this is why you didn't become a doctor but in the real world, this would never be a choice.
59:20So much stress. I always think save the majority of the lives you can. I'd just leave it. Yeah, but what if, okay, if that's how you always think, what if there's one doctor who's going to find some cure for every disease ever or 10 just normal humans? I think if there's one doctor doing that, he's doing too much. Bit of a no. How dare you. Yeah, I think that's a bit arrogant. I wouldn't believe him. if the same doctor who cures cancer goes also I can cure Alzheimer's I'd go you're making it up now surely the track record would make you think he's well good he has done it before you'd definitely say it about if a random person doctor just went I've cured Alzheimer's will you not go let's see what you've done before now see if you've got any track record of doing the CV of someone who's cured multiple diseases already you're probably going to go yeah he probably has cured another That's a good point.
1:00:16You've done me there, Stevie. So would you let him... Do you know what? As a doctor, I will have taken an oath to treat what's in front of me. And I'd rather die than break that oath. So you'd let the guy with the cut just walk free and then the five geniuses... Yeah, because he'd be a really nice guy with a family. Yeah, but what about these other five? They're dying anyway, though. That's not... On him. That's not the doctor's response. The doctor is there to treat who comes in. and we all pay our taxes towards the NHS. He's paid his taxes just like these doctors have and he deserves to be treated for his cut.
1:00:53I might say to him, by the way, you've got this thing that all these people need. You'd give him the guilt. I don't know. You could save hundreds if you just let us kill you. If someone said that to me, I wouldn't give a fuck. Yeah, same. I wouldn't mention it. Again, more stress. I just want to go in and watch Four in a Bed. that's from the last episode three weeks ago uh you haven't listened to that check it out have you watched any more since um what since 20 minutes ago i actually have got one in yeah
1:01:33would you if the five people who needed all these organs were the five people you're closest to in life. Would you die for that? Yeah. Fair play. If five people were your closest people. Yeah. Would you? Yeah. I'm not arsed. That's a toughie, that. Yeah, but you wouldn't know about it, would you? Nah, yeah, I'd probably do it. Yeah. Would you? Yeah, I would. I think I'd do it. What if it was like Kobe Maynou, Ganacho, the goalie? The goalie! The manager. and village what's the goalie's name what's his name I don't know the man you oh no no what's his name how do you not know the manager's name Ruben Amarim there we go yeah good ball knowledge what about if them five needed it could not give a shit really why would I care what if they've just won the league when that goes no they're all gone actually leaving anyway that's right I thought I'd die for my winger no I could not couldn't give a shit no no i don't think and other than actual people i care about in the real world i couldn't think of anyone celebrity or otherwise that i'd do it for no fair enough all right so we're letting the guy with the cut walk free and the five geniuses are gonna die from uh their poor i feel like that's the right thing to do yeah i'm watching house at the moment that's a very famous series isn't it but i'm very behind the trend i believe it ended years ago and he makes some consistently questionable decisions throughout i never knew this i thought it was just about a guy who has a pain in his leg and is a very good doctor a pain in his leg yeah because he's he's known to have he like limps and has a um walking stick all right and i just thought it was about this like genius doctor but consistently and constantly he's a drug addict and just makes terrible decision or very good decision very good at his job but always make an awful decisions and in this case i guarantee he would choose to kill that i love that you're just having a conversation about a series that It came out 20 years.
1:03:37I don't know why I'm so behind the cuff, but I guarantee in this situation, he'd go, no, we should just kill that man because these five could live. I've been watching a comedy recently about two brothers that are a bit wheeler-dealer and they drive this van and this little yellow three-wheel van on us and wait to hear some of the mishaps that they get up to. Oh my God. Yeah, yeah. Wow. I wonder how it'll end. How does it end? I don't know. I've never watched Only Boys and Horses. I think they've become millionaires. I've only... Do they? That makes sense. Oh, that's a spoiler. I'll get it and miss now.
