In short

The episode is a long, comedic travel-and-sports story centered on a chaotic Canada trip that goes wrong due to an Air Canada strike/cancellations, forcing the group to reroute via New York and a bus to Niagara Falls, then cross the border into Canada. Along the way, they discuss Toronto Blue Jays baseball: how the league/playoffs work, why baseball can be exciting despite low scoring, and specific players (Bo Bichette, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., George Springer, Kirk). They also cover My Chemical Romance’s Toronto show (Black Parade set) and an Oasis concert at a temporary Toronto stadium, plus fan-focused Blue Jays “bobblehead night” and a first-game fan certificate for a kid.

Guests

The episode features two main hosts (Jack and Robbie) plus recurring mentions of “Stevie” in ad reads; no other named guests appear in the conversation. Key claims/examples: Air Canada legally must compensate for delays/cancellations; the group paid for ESTA for kids; a taxi driver allegedly tried to charge $120 instead of $70; Niagara Falls’ Canadian side feels like a British seaside (Clifton Hill).

2:07I love pussy. I love pussy. Jack makes happy hour. For all the times that you rained on my parade And all the clubs you got in using my name You think you broke my heart Oh god for goodness sake You think I'm crying or well I ain't It's Jack Makes Happy Hour podcast How the fuck are we brethrens You should love yourself Robbie You should love yourself mate I do Love yourself a bit more I do too much really You look at me evidence That's Justin Bieber Jay Biebs, Jay Biebs, Jay Biebs. Why do you think I picked Justin Bieber today for the opening lyrics? I don't know. Second guess? Because I'm wearing a Blue Jays top and they have a player called Shane Bieber.

2:56Yes. Okay. Why did you actually pick it? Is it his birthday? No, he's from Canada, isn't he? No, I bet. Oh, yeah. I brought in my trophy from karate. How do you get a trophy as well as a belt? I got a trophy. This is the previous one because I got a distinction. Which you like the top 3 % to 5 % of the country. Yeah. I got a little trophy for it. Did you get a new belt now? Didn't get a distinction for that one. Got merit. Still good. So you're not going to get a new trophy though? No trophy this time, no. Where does this live? I've not brought it out until now. What does it say? It's my only sporting trophy I've had since 1991.

3:31So that's pretty good news. And what was that one? The Raynham Scouts Five-A-Side Tournament that we won 64 teams. Best five-a-side team in all of a kid. 64 teams? Yeah, innit? Best scout vibe. Were you in goal? Yep. Wow. Genuinely probably the best day of my life. So talk us through this. You're wearing... I've been to Canada, Jack. I'm wearing Blue Jays. I got slightly obsessed with baseball, in particular Toronto Blue Jays, and now watch every single day. Every day? Yep. What, they play every day? Pretty much. They play 162 games over 185 days. That's fucking mental. That's madness, really.

4:08Mad, innit? Yeah. They really do just... I'm going to move that away from you because it's not yours. Put them there. You haven't learned it. Yeah, they play so often. It's absolutely insane. Recently, the Blue Jays were playing in New York against the Yankees. The Yankees had a game in Houston, which is what, Texas? Texas. Had that game, finished that game, had to fly that evening, got back into New York at 4am and had a game that day. Fucking hell. Surely that's not nice for the players. No. So the only thing is that pitchers, because pitching is tiring, they rotate the pitchers. So you have like five different starting pitchers that they rotate through in games.

4:49Is that the best position really? Is that like the quarterback? I don't know. We're not really because I don't think this is exciting. It's exciting when you leather a ball and get a home run. And a lot of the pitchers don't have to bat. So these days in baseball, they have a thing called a designated hitter. So you can... There's the odd player who does pitch and bat, but generally you can, when you're batting, you get a guy whose only job is to hit. He doesn't feel, doesn't do anything. Oh, wow. So then you've got your fielders who catch the ball. You've got one person who throws the ball all the time.

5:21So you've got someone throwing the ball all the time. You've got a catcher who stands behind him. You see him behind. Yeah. He's the bitch of the team. I wouldn't say that. Well, he's just, yeah, I'll catch the fucking ball, mate. Well, yeah. Yep. Maybe. I don't think that's what they say to him. You mean the one who stands behind the batter? With a big glove. He can't even do it with his hands. They all have big gloves. Oh, they're all the bitch. They're all the bitch. They've all got bitch gloves. Why don't cricket players need gloves? I don't know. I was thinking about this. Are they worse because they don't have the big gloves?

5:49It does mean... It does make it a different game. It will be harder if you're just using your hands. Right. But yeah, they do all have a big glove. Whack, ball, far, run, base, base, base, base, all the way around. Yeah, but there's a lot... The more you get into it, as I do now, I'm obsessed with it. so Blue Jays have just made the playoffs which is excellent how many teams are there in the league so there's two leagues and they're in two leagues there's two leagues and three divisions in each league there's American League National League okay Blue Jays American League American League they're Canadian though North American League so they're the only you want to win the World Series which is at the end but there's only really one team who's not American okay or USA Ian do they ever win the World Series I think they won it in the 90s, but they haven't since.

6:36So exciting times. Well, in the 90s, yeah. And exciting times now, because they've made the playoffs. How many are in the playoffs, though? Okay, so the winner of each... So two leagues, three divisions in each. Winner of each division, that's six teams. Yeah. Two wild cards, which are the best records of all the other teams. Oh, okay, right. Yeah, so eight go through. Eight go through. And then one of those will eventually go on to win the trophy. wait yeah yeah is that right have i got the right things yeah maybe it's two from each league that go through because there's a round yes there's a round of wild card games and then other things so you might get a buy the first round if you do well enough so it might not be a go through eventually then arrow it down to two teams what's exciting about watching a baseball because i just picture it as throw hit just wait for someone to run in a circle because the thing is the games are generally well can be very close and it's not like in football where you generally know the top teams are going to beat the bottom teams most of the time right the thing so like even toronto at the minute they're even though they're probably they've been the best team so far they've still won they've still lost like 60 over 60 games this season so there's still quite a good chance of out of 180 odd yeah 100 well i have 150 odd at this point so how have they lost almost half their games but they're one of the best teams.

8:00Because they've won 89 or whatever. Okay. Or 90 by now. Who's the best player? For Toronto? Yeah. They've all been performing. Bo Bichette's been brilliant. Okay. Short stop. He is... He's from Star Wars. That's awesome. Yeah, everyone says that. Oh, we're getting into it. But he's good. Yeah, he's good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But he's out injured at the minute. We'll hopefully be back for the playoffs. Yeah. Personally love Vladimir Guerrero Jr. on the back of my shirt. Number 27. since I bought the shirt not really hit the ball as much George Spring has been great this season as well Kirk the catcher how many games have you seen I will watch every morning so I pay MLB.com for the subscription every morning I will come down if I haven't seen the game and I will watch they have a condensed game that's 10 minutes long and you see the it's quite a nice easy manageable thing just have a coffee I'll watch the condensed game last night it was on at a good time it's like just after 7pm so watch the whole game how long's they gone for?

9:01two, three hours or something fucking hell but it can be really exciting because it can change very quickly as well because you quite often have no score in innings and then it can suddenly the excitement can ramp up in that situation the best thing is if you're at home you bat second and have what they call a walk off which is where it's basically the last thing of the game you get the victory so for example if you needed to get a run to do it and you do it and it's exciting once you learn how the game works and all the different intricacies and things. There was a game a little while ago where I watched where if someone's caught out, so in the innings, three outs, and then they swap round.

9:35So the last innings, if someone's caught out, that's the game, the third one is the game in. Because they'd only had one out, they could have an out and then carry on playing. But so someone hits the ball, the guy catches it, but then you can't be already running if you're on the base. You have to tag the base first to then run. so then it's basically like catch the ball and then he has to go sort of thing so it's quite exciting right it's really good it's a brilliant sport absolutely brilliant sport do you think that you'll forever be into this now yeah I think so and to be honest I've always liked the sport yeah but I didn't really know the players right like I've I went to a game in the 90s and I was like this is cool I've been to another game I've only seen Baltimore once as well but I think now that I've learnt the players this is your team for life yeah it always has been since I went the first time so I've been going to I've been going to watch the Blue Jays for like 28 years just there's a gap of 28 years in the middle so I'm a loyal fan you've been cursed your options are you can only ever support one of these teams again okay the Blue Jays yeah or Liverpool with VAR Blue Jays easy yeah because really well I just I find I just generally find watching Premier League Blue Jays or Scotland again VAR whoa Blue Jays over country Get rid of VAR Tougher You're back No still didn't Probably Tougher Scotland Scotland play every day Scotland Yeah Yeah But no but it's It's very good How was Canada Because I saw you had an absolute nightmare Getting there didn't you Dramatic getting there So basically it was For those who don't know The reason we're going to this Or the reason it originally happened Was I was out I think I was out drinking somewhere And Kitty my daughter Messed me and said My Chemical Romance Are doing a tour Can you take me And I went yeah sure and a few drinks yeah um i said i said i said where's it where is it she goes north american tour still and i cannot stress enough i'll have a few drinks so i said where do you want to go and like she and to me she said she did not think that this was going to go this well yeah she thought that was the end of conversation she goes well don't think you want to go to america i'd like to go to canada yeah what about toronto and i went yeah why not I finished the drinks next day I've had no drinks I'm going to Canada Kitty and I are going to watch My Chemical Romance in Toronto so I have to say to Bev Kitty and I might be going to Canada shall we all go to Canada for our family holiday right right that happened okay every year though we tend to go with Mark the sexy lawyer and his family went to see Mark the sexy lawyer hear me out we might be going I've bought tickets to go to see a gig in Canada do you want to come to Canada as well he goes yeah sounds great so two families going to Canada yeah booked everything up all good how many people is that then there's five in yours five and five oh okay so four adults six kids yeah so all going very well booked everything up plan was to go Niagara Falls first of all flight to Toronto go Niagara Falls for a few days beautiful yeah a few days to Toronto a few days in Montreal not been to Montreal I'd like to so booked flights going into Toronto out with until Air Canada.

12:53Great. Good air land. All good. Three days beforehand, I saw something online and they go, what was that about? Air Canada there? And a strike? So yeah, there was a, people were on strike. But listen to it, it seemed quite legitimate reasons. Like the cabin crew don't get paid until the plane takes off. What, so they're just there until... They're like, yeah, so it's like while you're boarding everyone, no, you don't get paid, you only get paid for the actual time that you're in the air and all that. Oh, wow. A lot of stuff going on, they can justify it here. They're on the plane an hour or two before takeoff.

13:24And then they can't get through the airport. Lovely. And doing a starting job. complete support of that. But I do also need to go to Canada. Yeah. So, the day beforehand, and I've warned, as I said, I've seen this about this, this doesn't sound amazing. But then, there was rumours it might not happen and all this sort of stuff. So, eventually, the Canadian government went, we're ordering them to go back to work. So, I'm like, okay, well, whatever's going on here that's happening people went no but okay we're back we're back here aren't we okay so they said we're not going to go back to work but okay well there's not much we can do at that point so we got an email the night before saying your flight's been cancelled oh no we're going to try and get you another flight 20 minutes later another email goes come get you another flight I don't think you've tried that hard and also you're cancelling all your flights So that's fine.

14:19I thought, well, quick try and phone them up. Obviously, they're not answering the phone. They're probably getting a few phone calls in their defence. Would you have gotten your money back then? You would have, yes. They said if you want a refund, that's fine. But you don't want to take the refund. No. Because legally, they have to get you to your destination at their expense, at the earliest possible thing. Right. If they're not answering the phone, there's not much you can do there. Yeah. So I said to the others, I said, look, we had a little chat in the morning. the day we're supposed to be flying at like 350 and said i think we need to go to gatwick right because i'm sorry yeah i wouldn't make it up because it wasn't one of the flight was he throw yeah we should go to he throw um because you want to get you want to get up in their face because then they have to deal with it so you'll just go and go they sent an email don't go to he throw going don't go to the airport going well then i'm 100 gonna go is that what they said don't come to the airport yeah that's a commitment for you to go fuck it i'm going anyway yeah because then they've got to deal with it so right get to airport i'm so in and invested yeah so i said i said the others i think we should go all agree we should go but bev said afterwards she was like there's no happening like she had she did not have the faith yeah so was it all 10 of you doing all 10 went down did you see loads of other people there were a few there but most people don't go to the airport because they're told not to go to the airport yeah um so me and mark got in the queue while bev and nicola mark's wife and the kids all just hung out in the pub can i ask when you're on the way down yeah Bev's obviously not thinking this is going to happen yeah what are you what's Robbie thinking Robbie is in logistics mode right Robbie likes Robbie likes organizing things yeah and Robbie likes talking about yourself in the third person so thank you for that Robbie also is looking at is checking out checking out things and Robbie does something very very clever Robbie doesn't mind saying Robbie looks okay we've got to get to Toronto we're looking at a map yeah all the flights to Canada fucked because everyone's trying to get there yeah everything like that Toronto not that far from America what do we need for America we need the kids to have Estas because Bev and I've got them oh so we're doing preemptive Esther applications on the train down doing this they come through with an hour so we've all got our Estas now wow smart things won't always go wrong in life it's how you deal with it yeah you've got to just do everything you can to sort this out so we got there we thought okay so a bit of a gamble because you have to pay 20 quid or something like that for the three kids but we thought we'd we'll get those done Kermers did the same got in the queue eventually got there Mark and I were queuing up and we were saying like what would you do for this to get sorted out if the guy said look I can get you on a flight but you're going to have to come out the back and just kiss the tip of my penis we were going honestly I'm going to do it yeah would you actually gun to head I think I would have done yeah because I think if I went back to Bev and said look the man made us kiss the tip of his penis but we are flying tonight she would kiss the end of yours she'd have gone thank you that was okay I like that you've just gone would you actually gun to head he just said he would actually just for the flight the gun didn't need to be involved I've got gun to his head to let me yeah right so yeah anyway got to the front of the queue and the guy said right what are we doing what are we thinking because he knows he knows that we're smiling after I got in the queue he knows we know what's going on here we know the deal he goes right he goes can't find a flight for you all he says right you're going to have to split you up he said we're going separate flights I go yeah that's fine so he said we're gonna you've got um different options and i said i said we don't have well we want to get to toronto but we do have one thought but um don't i'll let you know what was your thought and he was like i want to hear your thought because he was like we're looking for solutions he was he was very good to be fair air canada man yeah he's like well one option um is we could go we wouldn't mind going to new york or going to america and we can get a bus up from there Would they compensate you for the bus?

18:09They would eventually pay you back for the bus. So we could do that. And he goes, have you got Estes? I went, yeah. He goes, that's massive. He was like, I give you so many more options. I'm like, that's massive, Mark. That is massive. Did he actually say that's massive? That's so good. Yeah. So that is a real boost for that there. At that point, I'm buzzing. I'm like, I will kiss his dip anyway for saying that. so Matt eventually goes so he goes okay we'll look at different options he did suggest some mental stuff he goes no you shouldn't do that you should go to because you don't want to be doing that and getting the bus why don't you fly to Boston and then you get a good night's sleep and then you can we can fly you in the morning to New York and then you can get why don't we go to Boston mate what are you talking about so that was a bit mental but we focused on the massive bit so eventually he said okay we'll get you on a get you on a flight we can get the five of us he said we'll get you on a flight there.

19:03Mark, we'll do you in a minute. We can hopefully get you on the same one. So flight that evening, same evening to New York. What time is this when you're having a conversation with a massive man? A conversation with this guy, probably about three something. And what time was your original flight meant to be? Three fifty. But he goes, flight, you get a Virgin flight, six pence. Because they have to send you on any airline to pay for it, whatever, like that. He goes, we're in the Chief's Economy thing. He goes, only seats are premium economy. presumably you don't have a problem with that no problem with that i'm great kids first long on flight they're gonna get an unrealistic impression of what it's like yeah so he goes right he goes um goes right i've got you on there go now get over to there i said mark you're right we'll leave you you're okay here he goes yeah fine so we went off with the kids um went over to um there uh got got on the flight um flew out mark on the other end they would get you they got put on a flight but then it got cancelled they couldn't get on that evening they were going to fly the next morning and fly out and meet us there'd just be a few hours behind us yeah but one one of the good things is if your flight is delayed at the fault of the airline for more than four hours you can get compensation and you might have to fight for it i haven't got mine yet but i will i will give us the air can i will be etiquette but it works out quite well because if it's for a long-haul flight like that it's like 500 quid per person so or just 520 quid per person so really that's 2600 pounds and our flights only ever cost 2800 pounds right we'll get pretty much free flights once we eventually get it from ua canada yeah have you have you started the process start the process yeah don't worry yeah um but it is it's in uk law and eu law that's inherited labor disputes so strikes and stuff do count right there's every chance they'll tell me it doesn't but then yeah we will be getting it so um so yeah so yeah so mark got put on a flight a separate flight that one then got cancelled randomly for a completely unrelated thing he that so he's now they've got two claims he's done like that and the one he's already got one of them back so he's gonna make a profit from his flight essentially i but um so they were there They're left behind.

21:19We're on our way to New York. So we get to New York, get there quite late. Got a quite terrifying taxi. So we got there. He said, can we fit five in? He goes, yeah, get this guy. Calls the guy over, gets in there. The guy, so we're driving along and he goes, and it's like$70, I think, set fare from the airport in New York. He goes, yeah, it's like$120. I went, is it though? Because I thought it was$70. He goes, yeah, it's because you've got five people. I went, is that the rule? Because I've never, I've not heard that before. He goes, yeah, it's the rule. went alright okay so I got my phone out so I recorded I said I'm just that's absolutely fine I'm just going to record you saying that though just so I know he goes 70's alright actually 70 no he didn't yeah I might actually have it on video actually oh yes please do I have it oh what Ruby you've been well sexy on this let me see if I do I've never found you hotter than I do right now thank you mate have you ever found me at all hot massive in the airport orange belt orange belt blur his details out if we do have it yeah Oh my god It's just fine Even the pre Let's just get Estes Just in case I've got it all or not Let me hear it I'll put the sound on If you are fine So that's why Okay I'm put like 70 70 Thank you That was after I said I'm going to start recording now Then if you just tell me It's 120 And then he's like going Okay yeah 70 Oh my god That's mad that he just basically Tried to steal$50 off Yeah essentially But the thing is At the end you're still expected To give a tip I don't know so she did but it's still like Oh you give a tip still?

22:48Yeah you do a little bit I'd have gone you trying to scam me mate I'm paying you 60 Yeah so it was a bit weird I'd have paid him the 120, 50 tip mate There also weren't really enough seats so Arlo's just like I'd have to like tie a bit of my seatbelt round him and just sort of hold on to him so I think this guy was driving like a bit of a lunatic This episode is brought to you by eBay I love eBay almost as much as you love football cards And I do love football cards Stevie You've seen my house haven't you? I have got piles and piles of collectibles. The annoying thing is, though, I've got quite a few swaps.

23:21Well, seeing as it's free and pretty easy to sell on eBay, why don't you just sell some of those cards? There'll be loads of people out there who want some of those. That's a good point, Stevie White. I mean, I love all of the cards. That's why I collect them. But when you've got two of the same one, that second one is just not as special to me as it could be to someone else. Well, do it then. Why are you still talking to me? Whack it up on eBay and get some of that money. Yep, I'm already dreaming of the bids flowing in. When it's this easy to sell for free, you can't help but say, when it's eBay.

23:50Excludes vehicles and business sellers.

So eventually we got there, I booked a hotel while we were on the way, so I think we had a night there.

24:57Then we'd get up early to go and get the bus. It's like an eight-hour bus. It actually ended up being about nine, so I think, up to the border with Canada. What's that like? It wasn't that bad. It wasn't great. But first of all, in New York, the kids were excited. Not by... We're going like, Empire State University over there. They're going, can you just... Do you want to take a photo of us? We're going, yeah, sure. Yeah, in front of Dunkin' Donuts. So I've just got loads of photos of my kids outside 7-Eleven and stuff like that. Because they've seen it on YouTube and stuff like that. Yeah, because they know all that stuff.

25:27That's what they're most excited about. They're like, oh my God, look over there. It's a whatever sort of restaurant. So is, by any chance, on this bus, is there other people that are in the same predicament? I don't think so. I don't think many people... And Mark decided, they decided to spend, they then flew the next day to New York, and they decided to spend a day in New York and just have a more leisurely journey up, because they could then fly to Buffalo and then go that way. Because I think most people don't want to do an eight-hour bus journey. But I wanted to make sure I was there for the gig, because that's the reason we were doing it anyway.

25:52Oh, and we were doing the gig pretty quick after. It was a few days in, so if we'd waited for a flight to Toronto, we might have struggled with it. Anyway, so we're on this bus going up, and quite a lot of people were mental, like I would say. There was this one Sikh dude on there like that, and he seemed nice but he was pretty insane and I was sat we'd paid the extra£1.50 to reserve seats because I think it's worth it on an eight nine hour bus journey so me and Arlo were sat in the back room right behind us was the toilet it wasn't that big a bus like a little flicks bus thing and this seat guy had gone to the toilet he came out and he was like he said to me he didn't have great English he was going I washed my hands with that I washed my hands with that and he picked up this like bottle of stuff can I wash my hands with that I'm like, it's not really up to me, mate, because I've just sat on the bus.

26:40But also, it's like windscreen wiper fluid. So I just honestly, I don't know. It's not really up to me. Is that what you said? I was like, just probably, mate, but I don't know. It's not my decision. Yeah. Like that. So yeah, okay. But he took the windscreen wiper fluid in the toilet. God knows what he did with it. But there was no running water in the toilet. So I don't know if he just used pure undiluted windscreen wiper fluid to wash his hands, man. I don't think the guy makes a lot of great decisions. Anyway, later on, we went through. It was quite interesting because you're going through all these places like Scranton that you've heard of, like the US office.

27:13So you're not seeing any of these places, but it's quite interesting seeing those bits. But you're doing a good two hours before you see a town. How often is the bus stopping on a journey like that? We only did... They probably did five or six stops on the way to pick people up. So you're looking like a couple of hours between stops a lot of the time. Can you get out and walk about on that or not, really? You could just stand outside a lot of them. There were two stops on the journey. one fairly early one fairly later where you stopped like a service station you go in and buy something right right um but yeah essentially um we went through all this journey but then it stopped towards the end as we're getting towards canada it stopped at buffalo airport and then they stopped off that buffalo the town and then um into um into niagara falls american side is buffalo where buffalo wings are from i think so yes right i think so get out and try him yeah couldn't really know but at buffalo airport the guy a lot of the time the guy was driving the bus he seemed nice guy but he had to shout a lot of people to tell him to get off the bus because a lot of people would know there's a lot of him not like nasty but just going mate do this so and and the seat guy who's a bit of fun he goes up he goes mate this is your stop he says he goes uh he goes like show me your ticket he goes yeah buffalo airport this is buffalo airport and there's like this plane's taken off and shit and the guy's like uh he goes you need to get you just get you get up and get off the bus like that he's just just shouting at this guy it doesn't matter how bad your english might be you know if you if you're not sure where you're going if you have one destination on your ticket and someone's saying that word they're pointing at yeah and they're pointing out the window at the airport yeah maybe he drank some of that windscreen i think something might that might have affected him i mean it didn't seem great before he drank the windscreen wiper fluid right um but anyway so eventually and eventually the guy just goes oh i don't care just leaves him in his seat eventually when we got we went through buffalo which looked good i'd like to go to nyan buffalo i bet there's some great craft beer bars yeah look really good i've heard good things only disappointing thing in buffalo past the baseball stadium there and the baseball team is called the buffalo bisons which is a real missed opportunity to call yourself the buffalo buffaloes yeah yeah wouldn't that be good who just bought buffalo yeah buffalo square double buffalo yeah buffalo buffalo oh it'd be great anyway um they they fuck that so so we get to we get off at um the canadian side the american side of niagara falls oh the shit side well everyone says that yeah it wasn't as good but i expect to see like people just taking crack in the streets whatever i'm describing it seemed okay how many hours are you on at this point from when you left your house to get to niagara falls we eventually made it to canada i thought i think about 35 hours or something like i think it was we only really missed out on the day of the trip so we get off at Niagara Falls also seat guy gets off as well last time we saw him he was just in Niagara Falls just like looking around going where the fuck am I he went in Buffalo he went in Buffalo airport I don't know what he was trying to do he did not want to be in Niagara Falls so God knows where he is now if you're listening mate I hope you're doing alright because he was just wandering around just looking like what the fuck is this so anyway loved to have helped but we had our own issues so we go and we're close, we can see Canada now which is pretty much as good as we could have hoped for but really we want to do the next bit we want to get to Canada Is the border, did you literally just walk through the border then or what?

30:33So the border's the river, the Niagara River or something like that Yeah because isn't the border like one of those you know them things you go through at gigs? A turnstile Yeah, so the border is a turnstile Did you go through that? Yeah, so we've got these big suitcases but there's no way you don't have to go through security in America. You have to go through the turnstile and then you're in this no man's land of the bridge. So we managed to get our big suitcases through, got everyone, all the kids and everyone through and then you're just on this bridge. We're pulling our suitcase across the bridge and there was a great moment where we got halfway through the bridge.

31:05There's a thing that goes to America and Canada. We're probably like, we've done it! Yes! So even though, given the ideal situation, I just have flown to, you know, it was kind of a good adventure. It builds resilience in the kids and all that sort of stuff and it was quite a nice little thing to have to have done and eventually you go through the other side you you um go through border control in and uh and then we were in we're in uh niagara falls what did you think of niagara falls because it's weird isn't it it's really weird and i'd seen a few i know you'd been i've seen a few videos online but what when you first look at it all you're aware of it is the incredible the beauty of the natural beauty of the niagara falls what they don't tell you is that But one road back, it's basically Great Yarmouth or Blackpool.

31:47It's mental, isn't it? It's absolutely mental. What a lot of proper shit. Yeah, you've got... It's like amusement rides or something. It's like a seafront, a British seafront. That feels like the weirdest thing to be near. They've got the long road outside the front, haven't they? And when I went, it was really snowy. So I imagine there was no snow when you were there. Really snowy. So there's a long road, like untouched snow for as far as you can see. All this water. Stunning. Absolutely stunning. You can see America across the bridge. and then you walk up one path, go around the corner. It's like you're on Blackpool.

32:16Yeah, it's called Clifton Hill. Yeah. And it is loads of just like a music ride, stuff like that. Old clown statues that are all paint missing. Roller coasters on the roof of buildings and stuff like that. Haunted houses, all that sort of stuff. That's so strange. There's an IHOP there and I remember sitting in an IHOP and I was freezing cold and it was like the trip had been amazing but there was a bleakness to it. Yeah. And it was like, oh. We were there for like, we were supposed to have two full days there. So the first day we went to a water park the kids wanted to go to. It was like the biggest indoor water park in the area or something like that.

32:44Went to that. That was good, but quite expensive. But then it was very, a lot, everything, you were just getting rid of this for cash. And even though my kids were there, their main thing they were excited about was eating unhealthy American food. After a couple of days, they were like, quite a vegetable. Like, you've never said that. So that was a mental sort of thing. Eventually, Kermes just turned up. So how did they get there? Because you flew to Buffalo. We flew to New York. New York got a bus to the border and walked across. They'd gone to New York. Their kids get travel sick, and I think they just didn't want to sit on a bus for a day, which I get.

33:19So they decided to have a day in New York, just chilling out. Then the next morning they flew to Buffalo Airport and then got a taxi from Buffalo Airport to Niagara Falls. Oh, right. So they eventually turned up. We just looked off their bags for a bit, where they just had a look around Niagara Falls for a few hours. Yeah. and then we went up to Toronto right Toronto I had a very busy social life in Toronto went to see the gig we went to went to see My Chemical Romance Kitty and I which obviously brilliant they were doing like a Black Parade album in its entirety big emo emo anthems did that and then next night went to baseball most exciting thing about baseball it was bobblehead night what is bobblehead night?

34:04great question Stevie if you should have bobblehead the things with the bobbly heads like the little toy type things imagine you go I go to West Ham and go first 15 people get a little Paulo de Cana bobblehead I can't play but you know what I mean and you basically so if you get there early enough you get given these things so we all got there so we get given like 10 of these little bobbleheads which is amazing so you've got your little toys and they're free you'd have to pay for them as you walk through the turns you go through the turns on the other side there's big parts of these things they hand everyone one each is it the player you got on that shirt?

34:35No, it's not. It's the second baseman, Jimenez. So everyone gets the same, because I'm into my collectibles, so I'm into this. Everyone gets the same player. Yeah, identical things, 15 ,000 people. There's people, we were queuing up and we were like, I'm not sure, are we here in time to get it? Because we didn't know, we queued beforehand. And the guy in front was going, yeah, you'll be all right. He goes, I've got 80, I've collected 80 of these. So they have a few times a season, they'll have bobblehead night. 15 ,000 get these? Yeah. Because I thought originally you said 15, the first 15. I thought it was the 15 ,000.

35:10Yeah, I might have done that. First 15 ,000 people get bobbleheads. So if you want to get a bobblehead and you get there early, you'll probably get a bobblehead. What's the capacity of the home fans then? I think it's about 40 ,000 maybe or something like that. So just be in the top first, third. Yeah, but it might not be sold out and some people probably don't care about bobbleheads. Right. That's good. So we all got our bobbleheads. We're pretty buzzing by this point. We're walking around our bobbleheads. Otto meets some guy in the concourse with an old bobblehead. I was looking at that and the guy goes, do you want to swap for this old bobblehead, your current bobblehead for a 2012 bobblehead of someone?

35:47And does anyone want to swap? And well, I was like, okay, I'll swap. So Otto's got like some rare 2012 bobbleheads that this guy's traded it for sort of thing. So there's a real sort of like bobblehead collecting. Why is that guy randomly taking his 2012 one? To trade. He wants to like swap around maybe he's got a few of those or something like that wants to get an extra one of these or something like that wants to mix up maybe he hates the guy maybe the guy with the bobblehead shagged his wife I don't know I didn't ask so he got a bobblehead but they have different things like throughout the night they'll have like like there was one the other night there was like a Charlie Brown like a Peanuts bobblehead night so you get like a little Charlie Brown thing so sometimes it's players sometimes it's other things there's one early in the year that's really cool where we missed out where it was a collectible night where you could get a ticket it would get you a Hello Kitty backpack and stuff like that with Bluetooth brand new so it was sick yeah that's that reminds me and i don't think we have this much in maybe we do and i'm not in the community but back in the day with pokemon cards you would get them for special occasions so when the when the new pokemon movie came out yeah the first like hundred thousand to go to the cinema would get like a rare mu and stuff yeah they're called the movie promo cards and now they're worth so much money and stuff i remember i went you know um this is very norwich centric but you know boundary road mcdonald's opposite the road you've got the mccure hotel if you went in there they had a pokemon event on and i was about nine and as you go up the steps they were giving out these pros so i went just just for that so that reminds me of um and do you know what the whole sport i don't know about i'm i'm sorry football but moan about it but the difference is every single thing is so laser focused on the fans to the extent that they're fucking the players over and making them everything is just giving giving the fans the best possible thing like even we then went to buy some merch and sort of that and arlo wanted to buy quite a otter did book a bit about all the kids that we're with yeah um we're like wanting those merch for that so i bought this yeah i bought like one of these hand things he bought a t-shirt or a cap and i've mentioned i was in the shop and i said oh yeah it's his first ever baseball game he goes get yourself down for fan services they'll give you a certificate and a stamp it of the game and all that oh that's cool so so he went and got down there then he went down there and i said can you get a certificate he goes yeah of course your first game what's your name arlo writes on the thing that's so cool does all that thing for him so all really good like that and i thought Joe, I'd go along.

37:56I thought, some people might enjoy it. Some kids might get the award. Every one of the kids. And they absolutely loved it. It's such a great, it was such a fun experience. Did the Blue Jays win? The Blue Jays did win, yeah. Who were you playing? Minnesota Twins. Are the kids still enjoying it as much now that we're back? So Kitty, who has never, got no interest in any sport, she's probably downloading the app. After the rest of the trip, because they play every night, we were in Montreal, we were in a hotel and she'd come and sit in the room and watch the game with us and stuff like that. She's like going, Bo Bichette's injured, have you heard?

38:29All this stuff like that. So she is pretty into it, yeah. The kids still will watch the games. They're not as into it as I am, but they are. Do the games ever get postponed? Sometimes they can do, yeah. If you've gone past, I think the fifth innings, they'll count that as the score. Right. If it's beforehand, do you know what they do? Oh, because there's not many games and ways to catch it up. Sometimes they'll play twice in a day. What? If a game gets rained off, they go, right, we'll play afternoon and evening. Imagine that. I just don't give a fuck come out of the players and you're caught moaning about oh there's a bit of fixture congestion imagine playing every fucking day sometimes twice because it rains worst time we got Palace in the afternoon then got Villa in the evening imagine being able to go to someone and say did you see the Liverpool game yesterday and you go which one yeah it would be class wouldn't it wow so yeah so yeah that was really exciting really good fun went to the Oasis the next night what were they like yeah very good so went to your sister first of all oh yes you did meet up with my sister that sounds like a joke for the 90s to do but is it your sister first but I do actually just go see your sister yeah she was met with her briefly and then we went out there to oh wait that was a bit weird because they basically built a temporary stadium there's this old from what I can gather and I might be getting this wrong there's an old airfield or airport out there and they're going to redevelop it is this in Toronto still it's on the edge of Toronto right it's quite an inconveniently located place yeah but they've they just built a stadium for the summer like a proper full on size of a football stadium sort of thing like that to have gigs in how'd they get that up so easily I don't know but they take it down because it won't survive the winter basically so they just built this stadium it's quite weird yeah it sounds weird but it's a bit like being at a festival because you've got outside you've got bars and all different all different things out before you get into it like on a concourse sort of thing yeah so we got tickets that were in the like the front the little front standing bit at the front um but you just went through the normal things but i think because i'd got my tickets through band side of things through management something i then we'd given they give us these ones for the front and um but we'd just be given a normal thing we can't get directed towards the back i was like i'm not sure this is the right bit so we went down to the front to this sort of guest service thing i said we've been we're sent to the back i think we're supposed to be at the front we're like okay it should um so i showed a ticket it's like front and she goes oh yeah you've been getting the wrong wristbands and all this sort of stuff so she went and she was so lovely they were absolutely brilliant there she's going to sort this out get this done there like and in britain they'd be like don't give a shit yeah yeah yeah like that she goes like we'll walk you in to make sure you get there we did like she walked us in like through all the gates and all this sort of stuff made us made sure we got in there and then just literally got the front when it all started like that so It was quite a good time.

41:16It was great. The problem with Canada is they've legalised weed, so everyone's stoned all the time. So gigs are quite different. Like Mello. Yeah, being at the back at Wembley was 50 times better than the atmosphere at the front. Was it really? Yeah, was the crowd just there? They've always been a little bit like that, I think. They're just a bit more chilled out. But I was sort of jumping around with Mark and Bev. But the people around us, they weren't annoyed, but they were like they were like whoa this what's this guy doing he's saying without what i'm doing just enjoying it but that's the reason why like when i saw oasis at wembley like it was the best gig i've ever been to and i'm not even oasis biggest fan right but i was lucky enough to well i actually bought my tickets on resale um i paid my tickets as well yeah right yeah um and it was it was electric yeah right because it was from i always say it but the first word of the first song to the last word of the last song yeah everyone was jumping up and down and knew every word and i was like it was almost more like yeah i appreciate oasis and and the weight for them but i i kind of felt like i was addicted to that energy like it was it was it was like nothing else it was like a sort of because i was thinking about this i was talking about some friends of my age and and we're saying it's for us it's the same sort of time as when the beatles were around for it's like if when we were younger the beatles would be fun it felt like that sort of thing I mean, this sort of thing for all these people who've sort of grown up with it.

42:37So, yeah, that was amazing. But then we were just stuck out randomly in this weird place at the end of it. It also was raining really heavily. So we just found some little dive bar type thing in the corner and just drank a few beers there. What was it raining when you were pissing at the door? Yeah, it started raining during They Live Forever, which was quite good. It was like social to the bone and all that. Yeah. But it didn't matter. It was good fun. So, yeah, quite a busy social life. And that was kind of it for there. Then we got a train over to Montreal. I wish have you been you didn't go to Montreal no I only went to Toronto and Banff yeah I went there for all you did as well didn't you yeah but Montreal I've heard people say it's their favourite city it's such a vibe it's so cool really yeah first of all I was like oh it's okay but you go to these areas in the summer they just pedestrianise these whole streets and there's just bars everywhere and everyone's like cool and a bit French sort of thing like that so how far away is that from Toronto it's probably about five hours on the train oh okay you did so much travelling yeah we did quite a bit you feel tired saying that that is tired he did like 35 hours just to get there and then once he's there he's like the life experience on the boy yeah so that was good and then on the way home we were flying back so this time we were flying with the Kermeses all this sort of stuff it's our original flight yeah it's our original flight back there Canada so we get there like we met the Kermeses at the airport because their Mark's daughter Bella had been a bit ill beforehand but she was they tried to get her an anti-sickness drug from the pharmacy which she took and then she threw that up before it could work sort of thing so she had a bit of a bad run she was being a bit poorly we got there we got on the flight first we sat there waiting and I think they were in the row in front of us and we're like not here yet and they're saying boardings boarding complete we're like where are they and what's happened is they've got up they've gone to get on the board as they walk past the security thing Bella's just gone and just chundered thrown up everywhere they've gone just wait here a minute because you just thrown up at worst possible timing we can't let you get on the flight until you've seen a paramedics they got paramedic come down but by the time so they got out they got a flight like four hours later but it's still it was like this okay i can't we were going to message the game i cannot believe we've failed to get a single flight together on this trip so that's terrible time it was terrible in the end they just they just got back to norwich four hours later than us it wasn't as bad as on the way out but it was we were going this is this is ridiculous when you were first figuring out how to get there like new york and everything was there a bit of you thinking you might have to try and figure it out to get back as well or were you always sure i was figuring like again if if it hadn't if we were there for two weeks if they hadn't sorted out for two weeks like the company bankrupt i mean i think i think by then you've got to think it's going to get sorted by then one way or the other yeah this episode is brought to you by paypal you know how a mom's bag has everything?

46:55Yeah that's it because if you are super super passionate about what you do in your industry you may already have the skills for what it takes to become a further education teacher. Well what would you say is one skill you've picked up from the years of doing happy hour that you feel like you could actually teach someone now? Well not just happy hour but even on YouTube I spent years and years and years watching people make final cut tutorials all about the editing and what I was always fascinated with what goes on behind the scenes to make a YouTube channel or a podcast and I've taken that on and I've even taught Fiona how to do it now so Fiona obviously when I met her working in a shop she's come she's joined our team and now she knows how to edit and she's um she's incredible at it and not only that graphic design as well.

47:43I've watched so many different tutorials and stuff on Photoshop and Canva and all these different things that help make this podcast what it is today. Have you taught anyone else other than Fiona? I have mate, I have. So a couple of years ago my sister lost her job and she came to me for a little bit and said can I help her out and I sat down with her and I taught her how to make shorts. So a couple of years ago when, I know we're still posting happy hour shorts but there was a big influx of shorts at that time. That was my sister who learned how to do that all through me sitting down and showing her final cut and all the different tips and tricks of the trade.

48:21So that was a nice time. Yeah, it's lovely. I love that. Well, you've got editing down, you've got the storyboarding down, you're a great interviewer these days. Thank you. You've definitely improved over the years as well, which is great. Is there anything else you're still thinking, I need to learn this? Right. So obviously we work with Josh, who you call Poster Boy. Love Poster Boy. He's phenomenal. He's so good at what he does. And I'm super happy He worked with Josh and he's going to be with us forever, hopefully. But I would love to be able to do what he does. Obviously, I wouldn't take the job from him.

48:50I'd still let him do it. Sounds like you might take the job from him. He creates absolute art, that man. He's a wizard. I don't even know what program he uses, but it's phenomenal. He creates all of the individual episode artwork for every episode of Happy Hour. And I've seen the storyboards that he does before he designs them. and I've seen a whole process of how it goes from a blank page to that brilliant sort of episode art. Yeah, he's phenomenal. So if I could sit down with Josh even for an hour, I would love to ask him, how do you make such special pieces of work? Well, and now we're obviously fortunate enough that we get an array of guests who are teaching us all kinds of things about their lives and everything they do.

49:28I know. It's one of my favourite parts of Happy Hour, sitting down and learning about things that we would have normally had no idea about. Well, it just goes to show whatever your specialism is, whether it's in editing or audio or anything like that. You just never know how valuable that kind of industry work could be. That's it. And the best thing is you don't actually even need prior qualifications to start teaching in further education. As long as you've got the skills and you're confident enough to want to pass them on to somebody else, you can literally start doing it today and start earning money along the way.

49:59And it obviously doesn't need to be like an all or nothing thing either because further education teaching does offer flexible opportunities. So you could carry on your current job and also teach part-time so why not consider sharing your skills and help inspire the next generation of workers in the field you love visit gov.uk slash teach and further education to learn more what kind of food were you eating there did you get to go go to any of the canadian takeaways yeah so i did a little bit of we did a little bit early on we went through a few sort of like ruby tuesday types of american style sort of restaurant things um and then a lot of the time just just sort of mostly local local restaurants occasionally would i did a lot of mornings at tim hortons because that makes me feel i've lived in canada makes you feel proper canadian yeah it's more of an east coast sort of thing but so every morning i pretty much go to tim hortons and quite often i'd say i'll go and get everyone muffins or or whatever like that and but i would just get a little coffee maybe get myself a little bagel or something love it just sit there on my own just having a little bit of robbie time um which to do that but yes there was quite quite a lot of that sort of thing um uh yeah yeah so a lot of that i had a lot of poutine once i was in i didn't have poutine when i went basically well you don't like it sounds so fancy but it's basically like cheesy chips with gravy yeah but it just sounds really cool doesn't it so yeah i'll have some poutine but it is chips and gravy yeah um so yeah a lot of poutine um a lot of that but do you think you'll ever return back to canada in your life yeah yeah yeah i mean i'm not gonna die that soon like what is that question i don't know he's been there multiple times i know but it's the first time he's been there in like 10 years five years five years same thing so you'll be dead in five i'm hoping i'll live another five years i might be able to return but yeah now i'm fully into the blue jays as well so i'll hopefully try and get there who they're playing tomorrow do you know uh oh great question well They'll be playing tonight as well.

51:48Oh, you'll be watching them on the way home then. Yeah, I will check. Last night was Kansas City. Smash them? We did win, but I think that was the third of the series. I think it's now a new team. Do they play quite good timings then? Because obviously they're so many hours behind. So if it's an afternoon game in Canada on the East Coast, it's probably like 6, 7 p.m. So last night was fine. But an evening game, no, it's like midnight sort of thing. So that's what I'll tend to just watch the 10-minute highlights. But yeah. Fair enough. You been doing any travelling, Stevie? no no i went to pleasured hills the other day what in norfolk in suffolk because there's some lower stuff is that a 30 minute drive from us 40 40 minutes i was like to go via new york were you all right annoyingly um yeah it was quite fun we go like we tried to go every year because we used to go every year as like a big family and then when my granddad died my nan was like adamant on us going every single year your granddad used to go to pleasured hills yeah we'd all go together would he go on the ride no because he'd be on like his little mobility scooter but we'd just go as a family exactly he had his own ride he didn't have to pay entry they let him in for free but um yeah so my nan tries to make it a big thing every year and this is the first time isaac was like we he started going on like we took him to lego land a few weeks ago and he started to be a bit more willing to go on bigger rides and wipeouts the biggest ride at pleasure for anyone who doesn't know pleasure hills is a really shit theme park in suffolk but as a kid I don't think I agree that's really shit.

53:13As a kid, it's good. But like, and it's so run down there. I think it's all right. Yeah, I think it's an all right local theme park. Yeah. I would say you have like the upper echelons of theme parks in the UK. You probably have like your Alton Towers, your Thought Park. Chessington's. Yeah, Chessington's. And then the lowest of the low is probably like when you go to like the beach and you got like, you had... Or Pleasure Beach. Pleasure Beach. Pleasure Beach since they got rid of the log flume. Yeah, exactly. And then I reckon so if Pleasure Beach is one and Alton Towers is 10, I would say Pleasurewood Hills is a 6.

53:42Okay. I'd have gone a 5 or 4. I think as a kid, when was the last time you went to Pleasurewood Hills? About 10 years ago. Yeah, so as a kid, it was better. They've got rid of some of the best rides. They used to have a ride which spun and went up and down that. Gone. Not there anymore. The drop thing wasn't working when I was there. The drop thing didn't work. It did work this time. So the mega drops worked. I used to like the cable car over the lake. That ran, but not until midday or something. So it was specific times that was on. What time did you get there? We were there from 10. It was open 10 till 4.

54:16So yeah, Isaac for the first time was like, I'm going to go on Wipeout. I was like, okay, it's up to you. You don't have to. The big blue one. The loop one. Yeah. The biggest one. I was like, okay, you can go on it. And that before, last time I went, had like big arm straps, like a lot of big rollercoaster rides do. Over the shoulder ones. Gone. No over the shoulder thing anymore. It's just the thing that comes back and presses into your belly. and then you hold on like that and i was thinking this is gonna loop the loop and corkscrew and it was terrifying yeah it's since literally since like i went i went early this summer as well just me arian and isaac they've changed it since then mid mid season terrifying the concept of like i'm gonna go upside down and there's nothing holding my shoulders in it's all just here which i thought was a bit strange um so we do that isaac goes next to me he's going is this safe and i was going yeah and he was like is it better to sit at the front or the back and i was like this up to you and he went well which one's safer and i went well they're all just to say you go back because i'm forwards exactly i didn't want to explain that to him though so i was just like okay it's mental it you want to go on it as we sit down tall enough yeah because he wouldn't have been able to get on it it's 130 centimeters he's about 137 well when i went to um disneyland florida when i was a kid yeah my sister wasn't tall enough to go on the rides and she tipped i'd passed that's dangerous yeah i was i was pretending to be shorter i couldn't get on

55:32but we get on this ride and two of my nieces get on the right at the front me and isaac go behind them and then my sister and one of my other nieces go behind me and isaac sits down he's going why are you making me do this just like everyone could hear him and i go you've just asked to go on here and then my sister goes is he forced you to do this isaac and he's going yeah i don't want to and i'm going isaac i've just said to you you don't have to go on this if you don't want to. And all my nieces are going, Stevie, that's so harsh. Why have you made him? They gaslighted me. Yeah, they proper gaslighted me.

56:01And then he went, I want to get off. And I went, no, you're staying on it now. So you did make him do that. At the end, I was like, fuck that after you've tried to do that to me. But they go on and it pulls back at the start. Yeah. And because it doesn't have the arm strap anymore, the first part of the ride goes backwards really slowly and just lifts you up until you're like on a slope. Yeah. And you're just on this and you're falling forwards into this new belly plate rather than the straps. yeah and i was like this doesn't feel right does that hurt it's not comfortable and i was going is this okay and i was like yeah you'll be fine and then as soon as we start moving we're going and he's going i hate you i hate you screaming all the way around it and then it zooms up to the top at the end and it stops and starts going up slowly again and he's just going i didn't like that i didn't like that at all and i'm like you're like oh no i know what's gonna happen it's about to do the whole thing backwards and on the way backwards he started repenting his sins it was the weirdest thing i couldn't pay attention to the ride he was just he was going god i'm so sorry for anything bad i've ever done i'm so sorry god please forgive me he thought you were killing him honestly i was like what just happened did he cry was he crying no he was just going i'm so sorry i'm so sorry the ride stops and he goes i hated that so much and we walk around to meet my family and he just goes can we go on it again and just gets me to go straight back on it and i was I don't know what.

57:18Did he go on it again? Yeah, just went straight back. He didn't hate it then. But I don't understand why he was repenting his sins and stuff. But weirdly, not the funniest thing that happened. Second funny thing that I absolutely loved is my mum is terrified of heights and I convinced her to come on the pirate ship with me and just dragged her onto the back of it. And I've got a video with her. I've got a feeling you did convince Isaac. No, he did. He did it. Because he's starting to like rides now. But I did convince my mum and she was terrified. And that's amazing. I'll show you the video of that.

57:46and then the final thing the one thing my nan likes to do because she can't go on any of the rides obviously other than like the carousel every year her thing is i just want to go on the train that just takes you around yeah takes you around all day she was like i'm gonna go on that later waited until quarter past three to go on it when the park closes at four got on it it turned one corner and came off the tracks derailed it derailed whilst my nan was on it after she waited It's five hours of the whole day. They had to get a crane to pick it up. Does it derail often? I don't know, but look, they genuinely had to pick, they had to get this big...

58:24Oh no, did I delete the photo? Why have I done that? Why do you delete everything? You're making your mum delete all the photos the other day. He deletes everything. He deleted... His mum did some videos when we were doing the 10K. Yeah. And he went through and goes, I'm not in any of these, I'll just delete them. No, no, that's not what happened. That's 100 and 50 million percent what happened. no it kind of what happened yes it is that is exactly to the letter what happened no what actually happened once i'm still trying to find this crane picture is my mom when we did the 10k run my mom was watching on the side you know you only get to see him for a couple of seconds she tried to take photos of me as i went past trying to get me and because she's a old person on her phone just horrifically incapable that every now and then you'd see like the small part of my head and it's just all these other people and she apologized and was like i haven't managed to get any photos of you and i just went i'll just delete all the ones that you've tried to get me and missed me completely because why do you want exactly what i said happened well she didn't want photos of all these random people she didn't ask you to do that she was going she was saying like i haven't got any memories of the day now well they weren't memories of anyway there we go look they had to get this like big crane for your man to come and pick up the train off the tracks Wow.

59:43Just quickly on that wipeout thing, the roller coaster thing, I went on it at the start of the year. None of my kids have wanted to do, they're like a roller coaster. None of them wanted to do Loop the Loop. But Rogue, my youngest Arlo, was like, I'll go on it. Are you sure? Yes, yeah, I'll do it. I'll give it a go. It got on. And I was thinking, is this going to go well? Your brother's phone went up there, did the whole thing, and he just looked, just didn't say anything, just held on through the entire thing, just got to the bottom and just stopped. He just looked at me, and he went, well. I won't be doing that again.

1:00:12That was his entire feedback from it. What was the other thing Arlo said the other day that you told us? Do you remember? Oh, yeah, no, yeah. He was at home the other day and he started walking. He's turned eight. He's just started walking home from school. It's like a 10-minute walk for him. There's no bridge or anything. And they're allowed to walk from that age. So he knocks on the door when he gets home. I open the door and he sort of just stood around the corner and he said, promise me you won't get angry at me. I said, of course I'm not going to get angry at you. And he just goes, free blender!

1:00:38he had a blender that he'd found on the way home from school I went why would I get angry about a free blender he went mummy would have and then the other day he came home and he said free badminton racket I said that's koala it ain't quite you need to bring everything you see he goes I'm not he goes you got lucky there was a bag of coal have you used the blender we did it once but to be honest we've got a much better blender was it in a box in that nah just rogue sweet blender you had the plug for it yeah it had a plug on it yeah so it did working blender if anyone wants a small working blender that was from the streets um then you can't be welcome to it because we don't really need the blender um i just remembered one thing that i forgot to tell you about canada um when i was in montreal on a sunday morning i went out to go and do my uh tim horton's run and there's this guy quite quiet early in the morning on sunday downtown montreal it's a guy on the other side of the road and this is a bit similar to something that happened to me once in the gym but this guy's just singing a song and he's going I love pussy I love pussy and he's just walking down the street and I'm walking behind him on the other side of the road but he's just like giving it all this dancing down the street going I love pussy and then he just froze and he goes and beef and then he just starts up again and goes but mostly pussy and I was like that's amazing I don't think I've videoed him and beef but mostly pussy it was such a great little plot to us was he a drug taker he seemed in for a guy who's going down the street singing I love pussy he seemed in quite good nick let me see did I video and beef did I video pussy man oh I fucking hope you did I love that he's called pussy man I don't think I don't think I did sadly no didn't get a video of I love pussy man yeah what have you been up to Jack Nothing mate Nothing Just been playing a lot of football Boring stuff Much rather hear about You at Canada And you at Alton Towers I haven't told Robbie something that happened When me and you Played football together For sacks though Recently What happened Can you remember Before the game During the team talk Oh yeah yeah yeah Our manager Always brings his dog with him Yeah And during the team talk We were all just stood there And it was like a serious chat And you fucked the dog The dog literally Just climbed up on my leg And started humping my leg Oh fuck Stevie Mid team talk Great prediction great okay cool I will say do you remember our mate that we used to see driving around no not boss dog right I haven't seen boss dog but in London I've seen probably arguably a bigger melt look at that number plate Robbie big boy we saw that on the way here this morning big boy Big boy.

1:03:33Imagine having that. That's pretty grim, isn't it? It's only good if he's like a dwarf. Then it's cool. If he gets out like that, then mad respect for big boy. I imagine he's probably just a cunt though. There we go. It's been a nice little catch up today with Robbie Knox fresh off the back of Canada and Stevie White fresh off of forcing his nine-year-old son to go on the roller coaster. Didn't force him. Yeah, it sounds like you forced him. Sounds like you forced him. And you forced a dog. We've got some cool things coming up. Us three have been working on something cool coming up for you guys in October, but that will be revealed in due course.
