1:49hello guys and welcome back to jack makes happy hour a podcast Christmas is merely a distant memory. Gone. I've still got a tree behind me. It's actually not been that long. It's been a few days. I'm still feeling pretty festive right up to my eyeballs. Yeah. I'm full of eggnog. Go on. I'm covered in eggnog. It's weird. I might not be eggnog. Smells salty. Come. You don't have to literally say it on the nose. I was just checking if that's what you were saying. On the nose. Come on your nose. Come on the nose. Have you ever? No. Anyway. You have. How was your? What? What? Huh? What? You did that.

2:23What? You come on your face, didn't you? What are you talking about? You said this on an episode before. I'm not just randomly saying this. My family listens to this. Yeah, because I remember, yes, you did. Because you messaged your sister and said, don't listen to that bit. I'll come on my face. So I've got to message her and say, don't listen to this bit either. It's all a joke anyway for the pod. How was your Christmas? All right? Yeah, it was really good. I wasn't even in England, was I? Oh, yeah. Where did you go again? Tenerife. I'm surprised you didn't go to fucking 11 a wreath It turned into it when I got there What was the best thing that happened?

2:56Isaac loved People are aware It's not Christmas yet when we're filming this This is going out on what the 29th The 29th We're filming this just before Christmas So we are still very festive You guys will be listening to this In what people call the Twixmas The Twixmas? Or just the Twixmas I thought it was the Twixmas because it's between Christmas and New Year. What is it? Oh my God, is that why? Yeah, nothing to do with Twix-ers. I thought it was called Twix-mas because the only thing that's left in the box at that point are Twix-ers. Oh, I, oh. That is. Is it? Yeah. I thought it was just like the between Christmas and the New Year.

3:35Yeah, but then that'd be called - The Twix-mas. Oh, no, I think it's because Twix-ers aren't anything that's left, even though Twix-ers are good. Leave us a comment, let us know. Yeah, let us know, let us know. Yeah, so Christmas hasn't happened, but for you guys listening, it has so we hope you all had a brilliant festive time um i imagine that the uh christmas episode were well well received we had just assume yeah we're pretty fucking good to be honest the christmas episode was brilliant this year i thought yeah we got really drunk we did indeed we didn't do we had becky and john beer on uh it was good fun proper long one as well it was i couldn't tell you mate no i can't remember you were hammered yeah i was i didn't know you were hammered at the time it was only when we were driving back no we told robbie about that journey a little bit, didn't we?

4:13So, yeah, and that's not the last time we got hammered, though, is it? No. We've recently been to Dublin. We recently went to Dublin because you will remember, about a week ago, we released a Christmas, two weeks ago now, we released a Christmas traditions episode where we spoke about traditions from around the world. I told Jack and Robbie all about weird and wonderful traditions and Jack, at the start of the episode, said we should go to one of these for a Jack and Stevie video. I didn't know what was coming up. Yeah, and we almost went and looked at a poop blog in Spain. We did, we did. But even before that, we should say that we were originally...

4:46So for anyone who doesn't know, on jackandstevie.com, we do a series in which we travel around and we do sort of different things that are dictated by a gold envelope. In each of the gold envelopes, it can say Jack's pick, Stevie's pick, both pick or viewers pick, and whatever it is, we'll get the control of that episode. We were originally going to go to Austria. We were going to go to Krampersnacht in Austria. A lot of people have said they like the Urban Legend connections. But however, the reason why we didn't do that, and it's still something we might do in the future, but we were just watching YouTube vlogs of it, of people that have been there.

5:19Yeah. Didn't look great. It didn't. I think they've watered it down quite a lot for, you know, how the world's changing now. Health and safety can't get smacked by a stick anymore. PC gone mad. You can't even, a big bloke dressed as gargoyle Santa can't even come and smack you in the arms. Yeah, because when we were first looking into it, I was thinking, that would be funny if we go and you film me getting smacked on the arse by a Krampus. Yeah. I'm not sure they're allowed to do that so much anymore, which is fair. I think what they do is they just sort of brush people with their little feathers.

5:46I wanted to get spanked. You want to get bent over and ran through, don't you? By Krampus. Ran through. That is gross. So, in the end, from the episode a few weeks ago, we decided we would pick the most us video idea ever. And we went to Dublin at Christmas time to do the 12 pubs of Christmas. which is exactly as it sounds yeah you go to dublin go to 12 pubs however when you research this and you guys can google this yourselves if you're bored uh you will see this is a thing a lot of people do a lot of tourists a lot of irish people do and uh they usually typically do 12 drinks in 12 pubs and they complete 12 challenges yeah and if you google this you will see that the challenges are not that great the the traditional challenges yeah they were also up for debate as well it'd be like oh you can't talk in this pub only drink with your left hand but a lot of the things that i read up on did say you could make up your own challenges yeah okay cool so we did that we did that well we didn't what oh jack smith jack smith who came to wank with us yeah and uh he also did the pub crawl in norwich with us yeah and he created all the challenges for the pub call in norwich you created challenges just for me yeah this one was this was better for me i'm gonna be honest right now i did not enjoy doing this you made i think what's what's gone wrong here is that you got me to do a lot of the early challenges which kind of left you with being forced to do the really cringy later on ones yeah so there's a there's a particular bit that i remember because i remember we were so focused on making the video ago that we didn't really get that drunk until quite late on in the video yeah i think pubs one to eight or nine even though we'd had like eight eight plus pints it was spread out so spread out and cautious of like oh what if we forget to film this what if we forget to do that because 12 is a lot of pubs to go to in a day hell of a lot because we were so cautious with it i got i got some of the easier kind of ones i just had to like what's an example of a couple of challenges i had to grab a couple of random guys and just ask someone to down a pint with me yeah race race down a pint we split the g split the g i had to call my mum and tell her i'm having a good time yeah which should have been you yeah Well, can't be, can't it?

8:00She wouldn't answer. Well, she would answer. Who's this? Who's this? Mum, it's me. Who's me? My daughter? No, your son. Oh, you got a son? And then it ruins Christmas again. Third year running. Yeah, called my dad as well. Yeah. Because my mum didn't answer first time. My mum wasn't drinking. We'll have to bleep the thing your dad said, because that is mental. Yeah, my dad actually said something that had to be bleeped. Yep. My mum was lovely about it. My mum said you're ugly though, so that's good. She didn't, she didn't. But the challenges that I had later on, and it is as cringy as it sounds, and I'm sorry about this, listeners, I had to do a fortnight dance at the age of 32 years old in the middle of a pub.

8:41That wasn't the worst thing. What was the worst thing? The worst thing was you bragging about how much money you have to a group of people. I hated, I've never sat through something hating anything more. Well, it said make a speech about yourself. And you said the sentence, I don't know if you'll remember the sentence you said. I do remember it. It's one of the worst things I've ever heard. Stevie, you're making it seem like I chose to do this. You chose to say this sentence. No one said say this sentence. You went, how much money do you earn in a year? They answered. You said, I earn that in a month.

9:09Yeah, it didn't matter what they said, I was going to say that. Because the idea of the speech was to make them hate me. And they did hate me. It worked. One of them got up, pulled my hat off and said, you're receiving.

9:22Do you know what? Do you know what? I will say this, Stevie. I will say this because I don't want people to think that we're bastards. because a lot of the people in Dublin, we were sort of dressed up as well as an elf and Santa, and not to give too much away, but we always said that we would keep happy hour as a thing that people can enjoy regardless of signing up to Jack and Stevie. So we're going to tell you as much as we can, but Stevie and I want to make the best videos we can, but one thing we do not want to do ever, and I want to stress, I cannot stress this enough, is just make people feel uncomfortable or ruin other people's days or nights, like how some YouTubers do.

9:55I know we're not as bad as someone like Sam Pepper who goes to a different country and throws a firework at a kid we're never going to do that but even when it comes to do a speech to a pub some people are on their Christmas work nights out do we really want to be doing that? we want to make the video as funny as it can be without affecting other people so with this speech one that was the only one where after I had to say guys we're just filming a video do you know what I mean? like instantly after I'm sure we've done that before where I've gone up to them 10 minutes late and said sorry about this but that one as soon as the speech was done I'll cut the video's going to have been cut there but I went to them guys it's a joke I'm doing it for this thing and they were fine with it yeah I'm so glad you did because it was uncomfortable to sit and watch just don't want to make people feel horrible no everyone was absolutely lovely though do you know how much we spent on alcohol that day?

10:42I could take a guess yeah my guess would be Dublin my word the prices yeah I remember the first round we got was 38 pounds That was in Temple Bar, right? English pounds. Four Guinness. Four Guinness. That's£9.50 a Guinness. That's mental! £9.50 a Guinness. And as we said, we only did like a pint per pub for the first eight. And then, I don't know if you remember, once we got really drunk, we got stupid. Baby Guinness. Sorry, I'm still tired from it, mate. We were getting double de Serrano and Cokes and two baby Guinnesses each, each time. A baby Guinness was eight quid. Double de Serrano was about 18.

11:17I'm going to guess. That's mental! Bear in mind we paid for all of Jack's drinks as well, obviously, because he's come to do this video with us. I'm going to guess that video cost over two grand. Yeah, easily. Easy. The drink, the alcohol alone was over a grand. Yeah, the Airbnb was 600. Yeah, and the flight's 400. We're fucked. We're fucked. We're fucked. Sometimes you have to do this. Sometimes you have to put money back into the content. How is it cheaper to go to Lanzarote all-inclusive? Yeah, yeah. The video is good, though. the video is good I hated doing it it was like we took two things that Stevie and I love to do one drink and be together and pub crawl and two make videos and both of them cancel each other out yeah saps the fun out of it it does sap the fun out of it can we go to the next pub hold on can we just put our pints down on top of this little challenge note before we go just make sure I get the right shot the b-roll we were smashed at the end I was gone we were smashed at the end I remember right at the start of the day I said oh let's film a little video outside Temple Bar because it looked lovely at Christmas didn't it?

12:23Other than all the horrific rain but I said right at the start of the day let's quickly film a video so when this goes out we can put up a story going new video out now and we went nah let's do it when we're drunk at the end. Never did it. Oh did we not do it? We didn't do it. Because we were drunk. We also needed to film an intro to each pub outside of each pub. I think we did about five of them six of them. And then we just forgot. Too drunk. This is the issue guys how drunk do you want to see us get for god's sake we need a big team yeah following us around on pub calls yeah i can't do that i can't have someone watching me drink and not being able to get involved yeah i just want jack to have a good time as well yeah yeah probably shouldn't pay him yeah we're kind of paying him with the fun probably shouldn't pay him yeah well it was fun though yeah it was good and that's out on jackandstevie.com if you want to get involved that was gold envelopes episode nine i think it was yeah yeah i was drunk i don't know I remember in the episode we kept going, is it this?

13:19I think it is nine. Did we do all 12 challenges? Kind of. I think so. I think there's one you missed out. Oh, yeah, I did. I remember which one. Purely because you couldn't find someone. Yeah, fair enough. Fair enough. But anyway, that's what we've been up to. We're all caught up, baby, all caught up. And today now is just Stevie and I. We like to do this from time to time. We usually do this once annually, but we thought, to be honest, guys, we weren't going to post this week, were we? No. We weren't going to post, and we just figured, because it is a long time from Christmas to New Year's Eve, where it's a week, we just thought, let's get another one in.

13:55Let's get another one in. Some people might get bored in the little Twixmas period, so we want to give you something. And an idea that we've had on the back burner for a long time is to go through our best and worst guests. Yeah, which obviously makes sense for it just to be us two on that anyway, so it's a nice, easy one for us to do. And we're doing it in a little bit of a different way, aren't we? Well, the idea spawned originally, because a couple of weeks ago, on the eve of when we recorded the Christmas special, Stevie, Fiona and I were in the car. Fiona was driving us to our hotel and we started talking about, you remember when we were speaking about how sexy we found, or we rated all the sexiness of Football Managers?

14:32Yeah, we bring that kind of segment up quite a lot because I know it got very mixed reviews. It got a lot of backlash. Mostly in the negative. Yeah. It's not long with that though. But because of that getting the negative reactions, we find it quite funny to talk about it. Yeah. and we then created a new version of that didn't we yeah speaking of previous podcast we did a sexy 11 just the 11 of guests that have been on the podcast this is purely what we do in our spare time we didn't know this would be on the podcast we were just in the car and we were going core we were talking about some some of the fellas that have been on because it's weird if you yeah we didn't do any women no yeah mainly because they're not been on the pod but um we thought it'd be weird if we go gosh it she's fit isn't she we're not about that who's that about it's one of five in it so do the math um i'll tell you who it's not about that's a joke i had no one in my head i just wanted to now they're going to be right so we did 11 so we did sexy 11 all fellas all fellas and we've made a football team of our sexiest 11 so we thought today we're going to start off with that and then we're going to go through some other categories and stevie and i have independently picked our top 10s or top 11s yeah we can't work out if it's a top 10 or top 11s but you guys don't care it's twixmas you're probably already on the bloody baileys this is also a nice way for i know guest episodes we you see comments every week which actually pisses me off a bit but it does where someone will comment going like the greg james episode went out on a monday so instead they got a main show on a thursday and then a main show on a monday so still still just as many main shows yeah i saw someone comment and being like oh guest episode on a monday no one cares about guest episodes like that is literally our bread and butter guest episodes is what makes new people listen we have always done this yeah it's not something we've changed yeah i will continue to do it i love doing the main shows with my mates and having a good time and i'm super genuinely super grateful that that's people's favorites because we can just do that whenever yeah right however we also love interviewing people we get to meet fantastic amazing people like all across the world and across all different spectrums and people are also leaving these comments without giving the episode a chance if you look at all the other comments on Greg James episode.

16:39They're all people saying that he's, it's basically a main show anyway. He fits in like, like Robbie or Alfie. Like, so just, if you don't want to listen to a guest episode, fair enough. Just don't listen to it. But not every single time do you need to leave a comment saying, I don't want to listen to a guest episode. Just don't now. It's still going to happen. You're still going to get just as many main shows. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly that. Exactly that. So do you want to hear our confirmed 11 of the sexy, sexy boys? Yeah. Sexy boy. Yeah, we put them in positions as well, based on what we thought a team would be.

17:10So if you don't care about football, don't worry about the positions, but this is a good way for you to hear about, maybe not the sexy one, but other categories we're going to do in this episode will make you think, oh, I didn't give that episode a chance. You're now going to get our opinions on these episodes to see maybe you want to go back and listen to it. And also, quick plug, we spoke about this before, but genuinely you should check this out if you're a big, big Happy Hour fan. On the Jack and Stevie website, jackandstevey.com, there is actually a free part of the website you can use you don't have to be a member you can literally just browse it and every single episode we do stevie uploads to a subcategory so if you go on spotify and say you like uh cult and coal for example just because we were talking about footballers and you go i wonder what other footballers they've had you can't search on spotify for footballers happy hour footballers you have to guess who we've had on if you go on the website there's specifically a category for sports stuff for sports yeah so and that's across both guest episodes and main shows so if you if If you specifically only love Foreskins episodes, there's a whole thing.

18:08Every single Foreskins episode is in there. And if some of those go across two categories, like all All Caught Up episodes are in one, you'll find it in Foreskins and All Caught Up if it's all four of us doing an All Caught Up. Yeah, it's just like absolutely everything. Music, industry experts, life stories, which is obviously a big thing. So it's completely free to go and use that element. Chefs? Is Chefs one? No. Okay. How many chefs have we had on, mate? Sorted food. What will he cook? And there might be one other, but I can't remember. A creator chef category. No. It's just a great way of finding episodes that maybe you didn't know exist because we are well into the 600s now.

18:41So that's a great way to check them out. So whether you're a member or not, you can use that service to check them out. And Spotify will be fine with us doing that because you can't listen to the episodes on the website. But it does link back. So each one gives a full, it shows you the poster that our lovely Josh has created along with a link that goes straight back to Spotify and goes straight to the episode. Yep. But anyway, into the sexy 11 of previous guests. Now, this is the only... This is weird, isn't it? It is weird. It is weird. This is the only one, only 11 we've done today where the positions matter.

19:12Okay. So in goal, we went for an actual goalie. Yeah. We went for Ben Foster. Handsome man. Handsome man. He's in his 40s now. He's got that kind of like rugged sort of... He's in his twilight years. Yeah. Twilight? Is he going to die? Yeah. We've got his match-worn shirt hanging. I think he's I think Ben Foster's deceptively good looking what do you mean deceptively like I think people know oh he's good looking but I think when you're with him you're like cool because he's tall isn't he yeah he's tall he's confident and it's like he's the kind of person that you think I'd have a go on that yeah he's chatty as well yeah don't say that don't say that he's got charisma he's got charisma in the back four we're gone for Big Eddie Hearn yeah you love him This is a big shout from you, this one.

19:59All right, this might make me seem weird. Tall as well. Look, there's nothing wrong with two guys talking about how handsome other men are. No, it's fine. As long as you don't tell, I'll have a go on that. Too late. I'm going to put this out there. Yeah. Eddie Hearn is one of the most handsome men I've ever seen in the flesh. Really? Yep. Going to say it. Fair enough. I think he's, I don't know, I think he's just very, very suave. I think suave is suave makes sense always in a suit yeah always looks good he keeps himself in shape he's just everything he's accomplished I think he's in there so he's in there I'll allow it I'll allow it next up and this is a weird one for us to put in I can't remember you can sexy 11 no I can't remember who we put in because I haven't seen this since the day before we did the Christmas special we told this guy he's handsome and he agreed it's Tom Garrett oh Tom Garrett that's not a weird one he's a good looking lad good looking lad then this is a rogue one but bear with us Joe Marler Joe Marler you have to think like this is not just like our type of man that we particularly fancy this is like if you've got a thing if you've got 100 women in a room some would like the Eddie Han some would like the Tom Garrett there would be a specific section of women that would like Joe Marler yeah like people like us big rugged men need people to like them too so like me and Joe Marler fit into that category obviously He could throw you about Joe Marla.

21:29That's when you're making it weird. Okay, Joe Marla's in there. See, you like Joe Marla, don't you? I do. Fee's got a thing for Joe Marla. Shouldn't have put myself in the category of Joe Marla.

21:43Then, to complete the back four, arguably the most handsome on the list. Go on. It's Rommel. That man, he oozes something, doesn't he? He's just so lovely and he's so fit. The thing is The other ones have been weird to say it With him I remember we were just telling him that We were backstage at one of the Birmingham show I guess And he came along And we were just going What a handsome beautiful man he is He's a devil He's a devil And do you know what We'll give him the armband What an honour that is And he deserves it So four bigger blokes at the back Then in the middle, we've got Greg James.

22:26Yeah, very tall. Very tall. I didn't expect him to be as tall as he was. Greg James is cool. I think he's cool. Cool, yeah. He's handsome. He's cool and handsome. Charisma as well. A lot of charisma. Then, I think this one is pretty bang on. Tom Grennan. Yeah. He's unique. He's got a style. He's very stylish. And he can sing. And he can sing. Yeah, he wears like sort of mad clothes, right? Stuff that we couldn't pull off, but he pulls it off. Yeah, being able to pull off those kind of clothes instantly shows that you're clearly attractive. Yeah, yeah. I think it goes without saying that all 11 of these are quite nice people as well.

23:02I don't think, if there was anyone on here we thought was a knob, we just wouldn't have put them on there. I was spite. I don't know, Chris Eubanks at top. I'm joking. I love Chris. It'd kill you. It'd kill me. I know. No, yeah, so Chris Eubanks the striker, by the way. Chris Eubanks Jr. Yeah. Not an actual senior. I've got a stupendous face. Hit him up. Oh, I did Trump. Ugh. No. Are you okay? You having a seizure? No. Ugh. Ugh. No. How's Eubank Senior? The Fanta. What's the Fanta thing he says? This Fanta is big. No, but then he also does, would you like a smarty? It's a stupendous confectionery.

23:49I can't do it though. No, you can't. No. So Eubank Jr's at top. Then going back to the midfield, we've got Jack Whitehall. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah? Yeah. All of these are tall. Yeah, they're all tall. They are all tall. There's something about tall people, and I'm not being... All right. No, no, no, no. I'm an outlier because I'm fucking weird.

24:12But there is something, I think, my cousin Sonny said this, I think tall people have more success rate being successful. Do they? Yeah, I think so. Because I think if a tall person walks into a room, they steal the energy of others, if you know what I mean. They definitely demand attention. Do you know what I'm saying? No, what do you mean by demand? No, because demand implies they're saying that. They've got that aura. Yeah. I'm trying to think if I've ever met a tall person where, yeah, because they can't hide. They go through life having to kind of be looked at. So it would be really hard for a tall person.

24:48We're talking like 6 '3", 6 '4", aren't we? Yeah, we're talking, yeah, tall, tall, tall. I think anyone at that height couldn't shy away, so they've got no choice but to have a personality. Yeah, I think maybe you have more, and this is based on nothing, but I'd assume you have more chance of being famous or successful if you're super tall or super short. I think if you're average height, you sort of blend in more. Yeah, Danny DeVito. Yeah, look at DeVito. Yeah. so Jack Whitehall's in there and then the last two Liam Payne I think one of the most beautiful people I've ever met you can say incredible if you want to say incredible he is incredible because I see that's what you're going to say honestly I remember when he came in also very good fashion sense I remember when he came in just thinking that is that is unfair yeah to look that good yeah and just and just a genuinely lovely person because I remember when we got into that interview I think I think we've spoken about it on the podcast before but you can never have enough sort of compliments to someone that nice but when we get into that interview, I think at the time, I think I'd seen a few clips of him on other podcasts where he was perhaps acting a little bit erratic or spontaneous or whatever.

25:54And obviously people were sort of clowning on him a bit as the internet always fucking does. But I didn't know what to expect. I didn't go into it with a preconceived idea. When I was younger, I used to clown on One Direction because I thought it was cool and edgy to do so. I didn't have a preconception of how it'd be. No, yeah, I didn't have any idea. I was the opposite. I was like a One Direction fan. You were, yeah. Yeah, but did you know he'd be that nice though? No. And I wasn't a One Direction fan in the early days, but the last two albums, I adored both of them. Made in the AM was one of my favourite albums, which is mental.

26:26I'm a 32-year-old man, not afraid to say it. Made in the AM, great album. It's fine. I knew nothing about him, really. I just thought you're in the biggest band at the time. Was he still doing One Direction at the time? No. No. Well, all right, so you're in one of the biggest bands we've seen in the past 30 years. music purists might hate me saying this but hopefully you get what I mean by this they are the modern at the time they were like the modern day Beatles not in terms of genre or anything like that but cultural impact and how much they're adored by let's face it, young girls they're still getting more monthly listeners on Spotify than major bands that are live now if we were about in, when were the Beatles big?

27:1060s? 60s, 70s right and the Beatles had been going for 10 years it was like us getting Ringo Starr on yeah right because that's how big in terms of stature right he came in I knew nothing about who he'd be as a person how he'd be hadn't even really watched many interviews and he was just absolutely charming and lovely and I remember panicking at first because I got an email from his team going do you do you offer glam do you offer this do you offer that I didn't know what that meant I was googling what is glam like turns out you have to like supply a makeup artist we we didn't no we're like no it's clear that that's like what how these teams operate that's what that's the norm that's the norm he didn't want any of that he came in i think we only had an hour and a hour and a bit with him he stayed ages i just even remember like there's such small things but the way he like introduced himself to everyone like to fiona like he had time for everyone the way he sat on the chair at one point with his sort of like leg up like that like he was just so calm and i think what it was is he just liked being around normal people yeah around people who are just like like metaphorically airbrush him all the time yeah every time but he was absolutely just a gorgeous human being like looks wise and persons like person wise so so absolute tragedy what happened um next up adam Sam Radcliffe.

28:31It's annoying. It's annoying. It's annoying. Tall again. It's annoying. And oh my, he's just, he's just, have you seen, and even since he came in here, so following on Instagram, obviously. Yeah. But since he, he was big in here. Yeah. And he's shown before and after pictures since coming back from that row. And I looked at him then for, you've just, obviously he's been working out the whole time, but on such low calories. He was probably at his smallest when he came in here Now look at him Beast Don't know what to say about that It's frustrating Again we told him he was handsome as well So not too weird Yeah and he loved it Bench People who just almost This is what we're going to call them today Honourable mentions That's what they call on the Fozcast If they do a top 10 They're not doing handsome are they They're not doing handsome Chris MD honourable mention yeah handsome bit short opposite there you go you said uh harley and jordan from rizzle kicks yeah both good looking very cool as well yeah talking of cool we've got uh luke pritchard yeah yeah he's just he's sat on about him yeah yeah that's just that that whole thing and it that's just the it's fashion again yeah fashion helps a lot doesn't it yeah it really does yeah uh and then we've got um luke tarrant yeah yeah yeah he was handsome he was handsome he was handsome how bad do we look on these?

29:59awful awful mate I want to look back at these specific episodes just look at us in them yeah and I'm sure we were ranked I'm sure we're ranked now oh we've had some stinkers we've had some rotters compare us next to these I'm trying to think if how many of these really handsome guests was I at my worst right yeah I tell you what I can't say that actually was I bald for any of them? yeah you would have been bald for you would have been bald for Eddie Hearn I imagine yeah That would have been so funny, seeing you bald next to a dashingly handsome Eddie Hearn. Yeah, so that's our sexy 11. There we go.

30:32We should do some more normal 11s. Yeah, well, we've also done another one, completed another one. We've done the sex... Yeah, we've done successful 11. I haven't done successful. Mate, we've done successful 11. I have not done successful 11. Are you off your nut? Are you off your nut? What? Fuck me. on the way home from the christmas recording we spent 30 minutes drafting a successful 11 well when i was trying to piss myself in the back of your car mate you think i remember that i don't know i don't know i needed to what you said i pissed in a fucking innocent smoothie bottle baked in the back of your car i ran in the middle of london tried and pissed in a bin like i do not remember doing this do you not that's mental we literally spent 30 minutes drafting it out and we were going no not him him stuff like that oh no yeah mate okay I'll try and see if I agree now then okay so I have got the list here there are four on the bench and bear in mind guys we might have forgot people we might have missed someone out and if we have feel free we actually actively encourage you guys to write about this on the reddit get a thread going let's see if I've missed anyone out let's see who should be in there who you think should be in there comment on the spotify let us know which ones are more handsome than we thought Comment on Spotify.

31:51That's a good community over on Spotify, by the way. Yeah, I like the comments. And also, you just said that we might forget some. I've forgotten all 11 of it. Right, okay. So we've got different reasons for each one. Obviously, KSI is going to be in there, right? KSI you could put in there. You could also then put Josh Serka, Vic Star, but we're not going to put all of the same ilk in here. So again, we've done an 11. So in goal, we've gone for Laura Woods. Yep. Right, Laura Woods, I remember when she interviewed me when I was working at Sporth. Buy your car today on Carvana. Limitations and exclusions may apply.

34:24See our seven-day return policy at Carvana.com. She was like the social media woman for Soccer AM. Okay. And she's sort of built her way up. Yeah. And I really like... Like, she's obviously fucking brilliant at what she does, and she's completely on merit, but I love seeing that career path. It's literally, you see her level up all the time. Yeah, that's a success story as well, isn't it? It's a success story. Just from nothing to that. Right, exactly. And I think when she came on the pod, she was talking about having brothers or something like that and having to overcome the sort of gender stereotype of breaking it, breaking through.

34:56Because in this country, we've grown up with like Gabby Logan. That's probably about it. There's one or two others. So she's, Laura is the top dog and so she should be. Next up, we've got Jason Kuhn. Yeah. Again, came from not an affluent background and built his way up. He's now worth over probably about 100 million. One of the highest earning poker players in the world. I think there's a, and people who don't understand poker will think, well, it's gambling. Sure, there's an element of that, but ultimately he studies the game. Yeah. I mean, if you can have a list of the top and those people at the top consistently win, then there's clearly an element of skill to it yeah and we won't always equate success to money in this list i imagine no a lot no a lot of it is to be fair but in that one it definitely is yeah i don't remember he jason coon is like a human robot so when i was with him in vegas he took me to his office he showed me like his his like computer and all his books that he studies and then he's got like a poker player study using like solvers like the computer you'll put in a specific poker scenario you have these two cards this table has these cards how much should i bet raise all this stuff um and it will the computer will tell you mathematically the odds on that ham winning and he showed me and he got me to pick two random cards and blah blah blah and he ran this solver out it was like watching a scene from spy kids the movie you know when there's a big screen and the code up and then he he he's made me pick the specific poker situation i told him and he ran it through and I think the odds on him winning were like 72.3 % and he'd predicted 72.4 % and I was like how do you fucking know that?

36:35It's just all in there. It's all in the brain. So Jason Kuhn this one recently came on again Ricky Gervais Yeah Most successful comedians of all time and sitcom writers Probably yeah top five of all Easily yeah I think he's broke the record for the highest grossing stand-up comedian of all time So there you go And he's from a pretty much poor family in Reading. So there we go. Now, this one, we've got two in the same position. We've got Luke Littler, who to be on this list at 19 years old. Yeah, it's insane. I mean, he'll be 20 in a few days, but 19 now is fucking amazing. And that's why I think he just gets in just before MVG.

37:19Yeah? Yeah. Yeah, I think. He's won almost everything there is to win. He's a world champion. he could be two-time world champion soon. Oh, yeah. That's insane. First person. If he wins this world champ, he's the first person to go back-to-back since Gary Anderson 10 years ago. Madness. Yeah, that is mad. Yeah, he's won everything. This one, we don't need to talk about it much. KSI. Yep. Started from the bottom, now we're here. Yeah, biggest of the lot. A lot of... Times of YouTube. Yeah, paved the way for many, many others. Mo Farah. Yep. Four-time gold medal Olympic champion. Seems to itself, that one.

37:53Simple as that. uh steven bartlett yeah yeah came from not much he's got loads uh he's a dragon on dragon's den he's uh he founded um social chain all that stuff and his podcast whether you love it or hate it it's huge it's one of the biggest in the world um and i mean i've listened to a few episodes and when you get the right guest on there it is fucking good it is fucking good um joelto silver won a world cup world cup literally won a world yeah uh again the first person to have appeared on both these lists eddie hearn yeah bit different yeah it's debatable this one's debatable because the silver spoon argument it's the silver spoon argument obviously his dad barry hand founded matchroom and and and made it a fucking massively successful promotion company but eddie hearn it's what my cousin Sonny tells me I don't know too much about it but he says that Eddie Hearn when he became involved has raised the game has taken it to the next level he could easily be this nepo baby that coasts off but like Eddie Hearn told us as well he took the silver spoon and he turned it gold yeah I think he did he has the charisma to do it you can't just become a promoter and not have that kind of personality yeah and the way he sort of like merge the kind of YouTuber boxing as well.

39:16He gets his fighters paid massively, handsomely. And I imagine Barry's obviously so successful, his dad. We could get Barry on here one day, by the way. Yeah, it'd be a huge, huge shout. But I imagine he's so successful and he's managed to create the success because of how good he is at what he does. He wouldn't have given that opportunity to Eddie if he didn't think he could do it, surely. Exactly, exactly. To Eddie to be born into that kind of money or at least grew up with that kind of money to have the drive that he has to continue to push matchroom as much as he gets phenomenal. Next up, second person to make both lists, Liam Payne.

39:51We spoke about him a lot then so we can keep that short but one of the biggest artists of all time. And then this one, I'll be honest Stevie, I don't know if we move this one. Go on. Johnny Knoxville. Okay. Now the reason I think we put Johnny Knoxville in, he was just a buffoon that was getting shot in his garden testing bulletproof vests. Yeah. And now he's not only in Jackass, but he does Hollywood movies. Hollywood movies. He's been in multiple. So that's up there. Some honourable shouts, Amelia de Moldenberg. Yeah. Because she's literally started that YouTube series. Yeah. And now she interviews the biggest stars in the world.

40:29Yeah. It's crazy. It's not like she went for an audition and landed a role. She uploaded a YouTube video at one point that got one, like that had one view. You know what I mean? It went one, two, three, and now it's multi-million pound series. Harry Hugo. Yep. Started a Twitter account, now... Owns a football team. Owns a football team worth 50 million, I don't know. Made up numbers. Well, yeah, mad amounts, yeah. Rebecca Goodwin. Yeah. Amazing what she's done. And... Fabrice Mwamba. Yeah. Successful, because he should be dead. Yeah, he's success surviving. Yeah. Like, that is pretty fucking successful, isn't it?

41:08He died for seven minutes or whatever. Yeah. That's madness. Yeah, I'll allow it as an honourable. You know we need to add one, I think. Okay. That's happened since we created that list. Oh, who? Ginge. Oh. He has to go on there now. I get why he wouldn't have been on there before, with KSI being kind of the only YouTube creator type on there. Yeah. But since then, obviously he'd already done Soccer Aid. He was man of the match. Man of the match at Soccer Aid. We played in a charity tournament with him a couple of years ago. at Norwich, Cow Road. I didn't know who it was. Yeah. And now he's just become king of the jungle.

41:43Literally just one-harmist celebrity. Yeah, so he's on that. Which is insane. He just has to be in there now. What's he going to do next? I don't know. He could do anything. He'll get invited onto everything now. Yeah. What, like chat shows and stuff? Yeah, I think so. I think he'll be offered. And also him and H people love together. They'll do a thing. They might be the new little Anton Deck. Maybe they'll do a chat show. Yeah. Yeah. Fair enough. Fair play, Ginge. Fair play. There's a chance for us to get anything now, isn't it? Oh, fucking hell. They were going to be knocking at us. That was going to be me and Stevie with a chat show, and now fucking Ginge is coming in and stolen the fucking limelight.

42:19I reckon they were just seconds away from asking me to be on the jungle. Yeah? You specifically? They went, we need a Ginger online person. Is that what they look for to get Ginge? Yeah. And then they went, right, Ginger, Jack, tick. Online, tick. And then they went, needs millions and millions of views every month. we'll go for Ginge next up next 10 this is where we swap to top 10s now okay so I've not created any more with you no no that's what we've done joint now we're going head to head okay what we'll do is we'll go through our lists and if there are any of the same that's a tick let's see how we've got four categories and we'll see if we match up with any of these these are the categories I've got left so I've got controversial guests I will just say these next four categories, those first two were kind of like, they don't necessarily make you go, oh, I should go back and listen to that episode.

43:16These categories we've got now are more like, oh, if they think that about them, maybe that's worth a listen. Yeah, yeah. Because these are more based on the episode itself with that person rather than - How they are as a person. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So this one is controversial in itself. I don't have a list of controversial guests. Well, I've done, because basically we wanted to clickbait the title and put best and worst guests ever. We're actually not going to be discussing who we think are the worst because I'm professional and I think the listeners can work it out. Yeah, but also like, I know people would want us to say it, but us just sitting here and slagging off previous guests does not look good for trying to get future guests because they'll potentially go, I could end up on a list like that.

43:55Exactly. So yeah, as long as people understand that we've actually got to be somewhat professional in the midst of all these wank jokes and silliness, then fair enough. However, this is the best we can do for you guys because I know you love a little bit juice we've done a controversial 10 okay now i've got different reasons for each one so i'll i'll hit you with them and you can say you agree or disagree okay i want to just do another disclaimer saying in no way does anyone making this list mean that we don't like these people some of them we might yeah some of them we might uh so um we have sean atwood okay now i think he's great great great stories uh the only reason he's controversial ecstasy dealer sells drugs yeah do you know what i mean oh he doesn't now but he did so we're picking people who are from controversial backgrounds not necessarily cancelable offenses right now yeah are any of these controversial through the episode of the podcast or is it more well you've see this is someone who i like as a as a as a sports star let me say that yeah paddy the baddie okay we we got a bit of backlash when we had paddy on yeah for his tweets in no way do they reflect us our opinions or the podcast yeah i mean we've had multiple guests on that have have said one maybe not maybe a few but like just because someone's on this podcast it doesn't mean we agree with everything they'll ever say or do no that one i wasn't even aware of yeah no yeah i didn't know and obviously when it comes out you think oh let's have a little look but the moment we stop saying no to people purely because of political opinions or stuff like it obviously it goes out saying if they're just a fucking massive racist yeah then then we have to draw a line somewhere but you also have to understand that if they have views that um 10 years old or five years old and or they're not spouting up from the rooftops and stuff like that we we want to interview them for what they've achieved in their career yeah their life interviews not not political interviews so this one obviously we really got on with him uh i don't think i don't know if you were on yeah you were on this episode blue van man no oh you went on the episode i really liked him um yeah i i i he's a he's a he's a funny lad obviously um just we we have a little bit of a laugh and a joke around him now because of his tweets and stuff like that or he laughs at me i've still not done anything i know i know um i just i loved his food stuff i really loved his food stuff um but we've got paddy the baddie we've got dominic milton trot one of my favorite guests really yeah great guest but controversial because some people thought and I get it promoting drug use yeah but he's promoting safe drug use you've got to bear in mind people out there will just be doing drugs regardless he's trying to make sure the people that are going to do it regardless you can't just tell someone not to and they'll go fair enough I won't he's trying to go to the people that are going to regardless and go okay if you're going to do it do it safely yeah and that is a reflection he sums up that this list isn't people we dislike just controversial backgrounds he's like I was going to say something well weird I was going to say he's like a condom for drug users.

46:55Yeah. A little layer of protection. Going to do it regardless. Have one of them. Have a DMT. That is weird, actually, yeah. Yeah. Keep that in your mind. Next up, we can keep this one short and sweet. Robert Temple.

47:13Food Review Club. That was controversial. Yeah. I really like him. I like him. Yeah. obviously a lot of people say he's charging for reviews we had that whole debate I don't think he necessarily is but again listeners it's good that we can disagree because you're not always going to agree with Stevie and I's opinion or Stevie and my opinion but I'll also stand by mine sometimes we won't always agree with each other's opinions on things this is it and sometimes they'll point out like the listeners will point out something I've said or like oh how can you say that this person's nice when they're clearly not and I'll do a bit more research and I'll be like oh yeah maybe they were right on that one I do genuinely like Food Review Club as a person and I don't necessarily see what he's done wrong I know some people disagree with that that's completely fine however here's one where I probably put my foot in a little bit DT I didn't like him no I actually didn't mind him in person I thought he was alright I thought the reason I liked him when he was in the room it's clear he's a fucking wrong in by the way if you've seen the news art because he's a wrong in right at the time them news articles weren't out there right there was there was there was rumours and stuff but he came on he was an Arsenal fan I think I thought and again this was years ago now wouldn't have him back on now I thought he was very honest about his mistakes that he's made in life right and I think you shouldn't always beat someone with the same brush forever if they've done a mistake and they're and they're admitting it and they're apologetic about it give them leeway to move on I think the reason I didn't like him though was because it's just a feeling and I could have been wrong but I remember when he was telling us about like going to prison and stuff before you know when you like just felt like he had a bit of a twinkle in his eye when he was talking what he thought it was cool I don't know just I just remember on the day thinking not my kind of guy yeah he said he weren't necessarily my kind of guy but I just thought you you don't come across as a bad person and I think from what we've heard and seen since yes maybe is maybe is I think because I'm sort of raised I was sort of brought up by my dad I know my dad has good morals I know my dad's a good person my dad has obviously been to prison for a really bad thing and i've seen the way that my dad reflects on that time of in his life and i know my dad is not a bad person but he's done a bad thing yeah so so when i when i i'm not necessarily for i'm from a same council estate as you are i'm sort of raised to just if someone's been to prison if someone's done a bad thing that well let's let's hear him out let's see what's happened and i think i went in a little little bit too much with DT and I think he is just probably a bit of a nasty person but there we go uh next up Jamie Hull just some of the terminology used around uh people of color was a bit yeah a bit of an issue and calling his nurse a big big bird she saved your life Jamie she saved your life mate let's not mention her weight uh and then next up um Molly McCann that was controversial It was controversial.

50:11Just because I thought she didn't like us. I don't think she liked us. She didn't like us. She just kept calling us posh. Yeah, maybe she was just bantering. I just don't think she liked us. That's nothing on her either. There's more on us. I think we were like seven of eight interviews that day. We were one before the end. She was knackered. She was knackered. Probably didn't necessarily want to be here with two what she saw as posh guys. Yeah. But I don't know if the Liverpoolian to English break there kind of fucked it for us. Yeah. But I just, yeah, I didn't feel liked. No. There's not been many guests seen in here where I've thought they haven't liked us.

50:45When she left, I thought she fucking hates us. Yeah. Yeah. But it might have just been banter. Yeah. Now, this last guest is someone that I think ultimately has a good heart, but has a lot of bad press at the moment. And again, we're just saying controversial because of the word controversial, not necessarily we agree or disagree. When this guest come on, I remember reading a tweet about them that morning that said this person, because I'm not revealing it yet, must be the most universally liked person in the country. Okay. That has flipped completely. Yeah. It's Tom Skinner. Oh, it has flipped completely.

51:21Yeah. Tom Skinner, cheeky, chappy, sales on the market, family man, grafter. I'm confused by all of that. I don't really get it, and I've not looked into it too much. No, neither have I, but I don't know. I've seen him defending himself a thing. Yeah, so he should though, if he feels like he should. And then when I see him defending himself, I'm thinking, I don't know if he's actually, I could be wrong. Someone might then send me something. But I've personally not seen him say anything that bad. No, I think he came out that he cheated on his missus, didn't he? He came out that he cheated on his missus.

51:53That's not great. That's not great, no. That's not great. But the other stuff is the, I think he gets called racist and stuff quite a lot now, doesn't he? I think he's just a bit... Is it a flag? Yeah, I'm not going to get into that whole debate. No. like the political patriarchy debate uh debate like i i'm like it's mad i'm i'm proud to be english i also don't give a fuck about going up and putting flags up and shit like that like i think you can be patriotic in many ways just by being a good citizen like is a way to be respectful and be proud of your country do you know i mean i put my rubbish in the bin that's that's me being patriot do you know i mean i don't need to go and put a fucking flag on a on a lamppost but i also get that some people are that way inclined i don't want to get into that i I don't know what Tom, I just know Tom Skinner's a proud Englishman.

52:38I'm not, so that's all I know. But I, as a person in this studio, I really got on with him. You loved him. I remember you being proper buzzing for it. I thought he was really funny. He is funny. And yeah, he is funny. So, but. Not a great dancer. Not a great dancer. Not a great dancer. Would have liked to sit him a few more weeks, but there we go. So that's our controversial 10. It's probably a poignant thing to say, but like, I'm sure we get guests, we get a guest on every week, right? That's a lot of guests. i'm sure in the future as well we might miss the mark on some like yeah we're not doing fucking background checks on everyone like like we're i've researched them more than people realize i like to play up to i do sometimes things slip through the net and i just hope that we never just know that we would never knowingly get someone horrible on no no someone nasty on no because we don't want to be with people like that either yeah but also um people are quick to criticize and so and and they've got the right to do so but it is a hard job to do as well like getting the right person on who's going to fit our humor that's achieved something that we can talk about and a lot of people who are listening have different opinions as well you see you see on our reddit people argue over things like this yeah so it's like who are you what audience are you playing to we're not we're not going down a specific route and playing like as a right-wing grifters or yeah or even pushing massively towards the left or anything we're just wanting to interview interesting people everyone's gonna have different opinions all the time and we're both left-leaning yeah which they know yeah but i think that doesn't stop me from wanting to speak our left can be mental yeah yeah like yeah we like some people are too some people are like way too scared online to give their political opinions right i'm not like on twitter i'm always calling out people that i think are doing something wrong like these idiots who's recently been saying tesco won't even let you say Christmas anymore like that I don't give a fuck whether that's a right wing person saying that or we'd be a left wing person saying that I don't give a fuck what I care about is I went in Tesco and I saw the word Christmas within a second it's just fake news everywhere what the fuck are we doing so yeah we're always going to disagree on stuff but we don't tend we don't set out to offend no and ultimately we're just trying to do for the most part a funny episode of a podcast like obviously some of the life story ones aren't necessarily too funny but even on the really serious episodes i've done with guests there's still laughs in there yeah we don't just go heavy on that kind of stuff no exactly so there we go that was our controversial 10 now stevie this is where we go back and forth yes i would like to know uh who you consider to be the top 10 funniest guests ever and i know you've done a top 11 yeah so do you want to yeah i'll go can i just say my my 10 aren't in any order have you gone from one to 11 no i put mine in position football position so i can no i'll just do it in any i'll just do it in the order they're in but i won't need to say their position okay i'll tell you if i've got the same one so i've got top 10 again i probably here we go i was just defending myself saying i research more than you realize i will admit i probably have just forgot some people yeah well i went through i pretty much went on spotify yeah and just went from episode one all the way up to our current and anytime a name stood out i've put them in right in my lists and separated them in oh that's smart so for funniest yeah uh first one i've thrown in asam chowdhury yes i have asam chowdhury on there i think he personifies what happy hour is all about he's been on twice both episodes are great the first one is a classic i think a lot of the time if a guest comes on more than once yeah you know there's something in it yeah there's a reason they'll come back on why is example done five then Six next year.

56:18We love example. Next one I've got on, I don't know whether you'll have him or not, Josh Widdicombe. Yes, I do have Josh Widdicombe on there. Josh Widdicombe, I think it's because he also does a podcast and obviously he's a comedian, so naturally funny. Not all comedians are though, but the ones who do podcasts especially, I remember him having to leave because I think... That was a shame. Which is quite funny because I think he had parents evening. Yeah. Which is very on brand. He had to do the school run that day. yeah so we yeah i just remember thinking i'd love to have more time with him yeah i absolutely love the we'll have to get him back for a part two yes it's a really short episode yeah it's weird like i think comedians i admire them more than anyone they're so impressive and they're literally doing what i want to do how however like you just said sometimes when they come on the pod comedians aren't always the funniest people because there's some some of them are really good at writing jokes and performing those bits to an audience.

57:12Sometimes they come on and they kind of use the podcast as a time to sort of relax and talk more sort of introspectively about how they're feeling. Josh Widdicombe had a bit of both. He knew he was on a podcast. He know what makes good stories. And I think you'll get when I say he's calm funny. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. Because you can get erratic funny. Yeah. He's not in your face. Nick Helm was funny when he's smashing the set up. Yeah. But Josh Widdicombe was calm funny. And I really like that. okay next one then not sure whether you'll have him on but i think he deserves a place michael van gerwen oh really yeah i didn't put mvg on there no one hell of a character he is a great character darts is such a great sport and he sums up darts for me and i think i think it also obviously the episode was funny because he's just funny but i think it helps that he's also given us the the awkward ball machine question yeah which we've then spoken to him about afterwards so i think just him as a as a person and i do think the episode's really funny even if you're not necessarily a darts fan i just think he's a funny guy yeah brilliant he's super funny i recently uh interviewed him at the world championship media day and i was asking him if he could name certain darts players nicknames and i or no i was giving him the nickname seeing if he could match them to the player and i said who's the rock star who's it's joe cullen and he was like joe cullen but he's he's not he's not a fucking rock star and then he and i went what would you what nickname then would you give him and he went and he fought for a while and he went pushy see funny and i've got that great story about him that is not suitable for podcast no when i see him in bristol and that sums him up he's a fucking nutter but he's brilliant we love michael van okay my next one pie face uh debated pie face and i think the reason he deserves to go on there is because you still quote him on happy hour to this day when you just out of the blue go it'd be rude not to but you always don't about it it's like McDonald's like stealing and I've seen a chicken select it'd be rude not to yeah you do that still now and that's from Pie Face episode 1 as well Pie Face 1 was golden the prank as well the prank is classic and he played it so well so I think that could be we haven't done a top 10 of best happy hour moments oh that's easily in there that would be top 3 I've still I still to this day get people randomly say that to me yeah like ask about it I didn't mean to yeah like a little meme yeah so Pie Face next one William Hanson oh yes we've got very different lists here which is good because that means we've got like at least probably 15 well I'll tell you I've only got one person in my list who's not a comedian oh wow yeah I actually didn't do many comedians wow okay William Hanson definitely William Hanson's so funny definitely so for anyone who doesn't ask the etiquette expert he does help I sexted my boss as a podcast as well so again someone else who does a podcast spoke so well and yeah just so so funny Yeah, agreed, agreed, agreed.

1:00:01You'll have this one. Joe Marler. Yes, got Joe Marler in there. Knew he'd be on your list. Joe Marler, rugby player, incredible. So funny. What have you just done? I don't have Joe Marler in there. Oh, you fucking idiot. But I should have Joe Marler in there. Okay, honestly, I've really not done many comedians. My next one, Ian Holloway. Oh, yeah. I forgot all these. Oh, really? Not really. Oh, mate. See, you've just gone down comedian route. I've gone back to the episode who's really cracked me up Ian Holloway episode 1 especially so so good 1 and 2 was both good with Ian if you've gone comedians then my next two are comedians Daniel Sloss I remember how much we both loved that episode this is so many years ago now this is old studio Daniel Sloss he was probably the first 10 guests we ever do and if you've not listened to that episode it's so so good we had the whole chat about your whatsapp conversations getting leaked and the whole fuck shit fuck shit fuck shit yeah the rhythm of comedy he spoke about so good such a great episode yeah then Ramesh Ranganathan yeah one of the most naturally funny people we've ever had on the podcast naturally funny yeah so as you just said about some comedians need to write it down he's just so quick with it so good with it yeah and we were really rusty that was our first episode back here yeah after touring I'd love to do have Rom on again yeah and he's now got his podcast which is obviously doing really well let's not plug another podcast mate so maybe he wants to come on here to promote that again because he also took our man didn't he oh yeah Johnny from Spotify left Spotify and he's now the producer yeah take Ramesh out actually yeah take Ramesh actually my and then I've got one more comedian yeah got two names left yeah one more comedian is Finn Taylor yes yeah I'm glad you I'm glad you put Finn in I didn't think you'd put Finn in but I'm glad you did very funny man yeah very funny and his podcast wow that is boom flying flying wow and that's we can plug that one because that's very Finn versus history very very different to what we do true so that's fine you can probably put Finn Taylor in controversial guests as well because he's like a new age comedian that doesn't give a fuck about what he says yeah and there's a I think there is a place for that in comedy at the moment we need that as long as you're not like hurting people yeah I think it's fine final one Danny D wow okay you've not got look at this Danny D episode one again especially so so good the story of him getting recognised and then the guy like saying he's from a football team is so good yeah fair great episode fair enough yeah no all right cool so we've got the five that we agree with finn taylor josh widdekom asim chowji ramesh and daniel sloss uh so here are my uh six remaining ones so i have got david earl in there i wasn't on the episode so i couldn't i couldn't say it yeah i've got david i think david earl much like ramesh is so naturally funny.

1:02:52Yeah. I think his mannerisms, just, I don't know, just, David Earl could read a phone book to me and it'd be funny. Yeah, we obviously went for lunch with David Earl in Exeter, didn't we, when we were doing a show down there. So I've spent some time with him and he is extremely funny. I just couldn't put him in the list because I wasn't on the episode. So going right off the back of David Earl, it'll be no surprise. They kind of come as a duo these days, Joe Wilkinson. Joe Wilkinson. Again, I was only on the first like 10 minutes of that episode so Robbie could come in. Yeah. So I couldn't put him on.

1:03:22Yeah. Joe Wilkinson, us reading his best, my favourite tweets out to Joe Wilkinson is one of my favourite clips. Just because he cringed so much. If you haven't seen that, go on YouTube and search Happy Hour Joe Wilkinson tweets. It's brilliant. I find his tweets, well, he doesn't do it anymore, but his old tweets are some of the funniest on Twitter. I screenshot my best ones, read them to him. Alfie, Robbie and I are laughing over them and he's cringing so much and he's giggling, but he's getting embarrassed because it's like he's giggling at his own tweets. And he's like, he says it. I think he says in it, I'm living a hell right now.

1:03:55And it's so good. One I'm surprised you didn't put in from this year, Tom Davis, big Tom Davis. Yeah. We had a lot of laughs with Tom. We did. I have him in another list. Yeah. So I was trying to make my lists vary a bit. I didn't want to put, although some of the lists, they should be allowed to go in both. Yeah. Obviously I want to talk about guests we've had and stuff over. I don't want to just have like 10 people over four lists. Yeah, fair enough. I did love him I thought he was so funny yeah he's probably the like the most comfortable I've felt around a comedian he's just normal bloke yeah normal bloke proper bloke I think although I don't necessarily get like immensely starstruck anymore I think with comedians I do feel that little bit of aura around them because that's what I want to be like or grew up wanting to be so it's like it's like comedians and footballers are the same ilk to me next up Ricky Gervais I just think he's one of the biggest comedians on the planet for a reason and I think the way he falls into doing bits is perfect for a podcast.

1:04:55Yeah. It's perfect for a podcast when he does the, I'm in a bin and stuff like that. Yeah, so when we wrote these lists, we hadn't filmed that episode yet. So I did like that whole little section, the Hitler stuff. Weird thing to say. I think the second episode's funnier than the first one we did with it. Yeah. Yeah, so Ricky Gervais in there. Nick Helm. Yeah, I was umming and ahhing. I was just trying not to only do comedians. Right, fair enough. I was just trying to get us some like normal because obviously people listening as well like they might not care for the comedian episode so I tried to make it kind of varied but Nick Helm the whole thing of him just changing our whole set going get rid of that get rid of that so good so funny and the whole chicken stuff is funny as well we're trying not to say loads because if you haven't heard these episodes obviously go back and listen to them yeah I recently went to his show as well how was it?

1:05:42I couldn't go really good really fucking I can't picture what it would be like really weird yeah really weird No, I can picture that. Yeah. Oh, God. I don't want to fucking... I'm going to butcher it. I really want to say about one of these... And we're back. Streaming on Peacock. May I present to you the award-winning staff of the Toledo Truth Teller. He's talking about, and I'm going to butcher this, Nick, if you're listening, but he's talking about how the size of, like, let's say he's talking about the size of his flat, right?

1:07:34He's going, it's 10 foot by 12. It's 10 foot by 12. And then he points to someone in the audience. He goes, do you know 10 foot by 12? Can you picture 10 foot by 12? and he's doing this for ages. And then he goes, he goes, right, okay, moves on. And then he goes back to that guy a couple of minutes later. He goes, you, get up here, get up here. So the guy gets up and says, you stand there, like that. And then the guy's just stood on stage for ages. Carries on doing it. And he goes, wait, wait, wait, let me get someone else. And he gets someone else. He goes, you, come here, come here, get up here.

1:07:59And they get up. And he goes, you stand there. And then again, he goes, don't stand there, stand there, don't stand there, stand there. One inch, one inch, one inch. And he stands there and there's just two people randomly said it's on the stage he goes that's 10 inch by 12 or whatever and he's made 10 foot by 12 he's just made them come up to stand just to show like moments after it was so good but i went with my cousin reese and uh at half time reese went for a piss did i tell you about half time did i tell you about this no i'm just laughing at the interval reese likes nick calme he actually bought tickets to him a year before yeah i went with him and um at half time reese we were funny he keeps on half time during the half time super bowl show at nick helm uh reese went for a piss by the toilets to the venue were packed so he ran outside and was like i'm gonna find an alleyway so he ran outside and he went by the bins and then he's having a piss and then he come back up and uh we were just chatting about stuff and then about five minutes later he went i just saw nick helm by the way i was like what he's like yeah i just want to piss by the bins and he was just stood near the bins having a fag did he say anything what'd you say and reese just went I nodded and went, all right.

1:09:04And he went, all right. And that was it. Whilst he pissed. So after I text Nick and was like, yeah, your show was brilliant, all that stuff. And then I was like, my cousin met you at Interval. And he was like, why did I meet anyone at Interval? I was like, no, he was sort of having to piss by the bins. And he said, all right. He said he didn't say anything. He was the most non-ass person ever. That's so weird. Yeah. So Nick Helms in there. Oh, and then do you want to hear my one non-comedian funny guest? Yes. What will he cook? Yeah. I debated. I did debate it I really like him he's a very very funny man what Willie Cook I love the story about well he didn't realise that this was going out when he was talking about being fondled on holiday being molested he thought it was a Jack and Stevie video so he didn't mind it being behind the paywall yeah mad saying some mad shit yeah that was one of my favourite moments ever that was one of my favourite moments ever so that's our funniest ever guests it's a good list it's a great list a great list pick your funniest ever out of that Pick your funniest ever.

1:10:06That's harsh. That is harsh. Fuck me. How'd you do that? Your funniest ever guest on Happy Hour. I got mine. I'm not even going to think about it. It's like my favourite album. It can change all the time. Favourite food, change all the time. Death Row meal, change all the time. But this one, I'm locking it in right now. I don't know. I cannot pick one of these. I'm going to say Joe Marler. Love it, Stevie. I'm going to say Asim Chowdhury won that was the two I was going for that's good no I'll take that I'll take that okay next up we are going to do our top 10 best stories best stories these don't necessarily need to be famous people these are guests with incredible stories funny stories serious stories life stories whatever as we said on jackandcb.com the free part of the website we have a subcategory called life stories and I know a lot of people have been using that page to find them Yeah, I think most of mine will be in those categories, but not all.

1:11:05Okay. Well, I only have, I'll be honest, I only have eight for this. Okay. And because this is the last one I was writing and I actually fell asleep. Okay, good. That bored of them. Yeah. Best story, sleep. So how about you say your 10 and my eight might be in there anyway? I imagine they will be. Number one, Peter Blexley. Yeah. Quality. Three episodes? Yeah, three episodes. Every episode's brilliant. Summarises, sums up what Happy Hour is all about. just a brilliant, brilliant storyteller. Yeah, great stories. Yeah. Luke Tarrant. Luke Tarrant. I do not have Luke Tarrant on, but that is a... I'll have to sleep before you got to him.

1:11:40That is a great story. That's a great story. Luke Tarrant is in there. We don't want to give too much away on all of these. Let's give him a top line... Yeah, so Peter Blexley, ex-cop... Undercover police officer with mad stories. Big guns, big drugs, big sex. Luke Tarrant? solo traveler go around world crash motorbike crash wake up hospital leg gone leg gone cool leg dream dead leg dream dead vanessa frake harris uh is she on your list yeah she's on my list she's fucking brilliant so the governor the governor big boss one with scrubs look after female prisoners big big prisoners scary prisoners big scary not big size yeah big like like uh myra hindley myra hindley yeah she had to look after him gave us one of our best ever happy moments accidentally a complete yeah we speak about this a lot so you know you know much like the tobe jizzle episode where i asked toby if he's a chocolate man yeah the intention wasn't bad right but it spawned a really funny reaction vanessa frake harris we asked her the question in the get-to-knows, what crime would you do to eradicate that crime forever?

1:12:58So Alfie said infamously that he would be racist to his dad because he could get away with it with his dad and there'd be no racism. Who was the smart, was it JME, that said he would do perjury in court? He'd lie in court because he'd get away with it and then no one could lie in court again. The best fucking answer. Vanessa Frey-Carris said. She didn't understand the question at first and she said, pedophilia. She just wanted to get rid of pedophilia. She wanted to get rid of pedophilia. Yeah, of course she does. But didn't realise that involved doing it first. And because we didn't know her that well, there was just a moment where we were just sat there looking at her going, she's saying she's going to do the kids.

1:13:37What the fuck? Great moment. Great episode. Clearly she didn't mean that. And it was really, really funny. Okay, my next best story is Michael Franciez. Yes, I've got Michael Franciez. Brilliant. Of course you have ex-mob boss man. Can I just say as well, by the way, and I know he's reformed, and he's a very religious man who lives a good life. Why do people call us out for stuff like Paddy the Baddy, who had old anti-immigration tweets, but they don't ever call us out for a mobster that has literally killed people, allegedly? It is strange. It feels like you're allowed to reform from potential murder.

1:14:14But you can't reform from a dodgy opinion or a bad tweet. yeah yeah yeah fair enough but michael francis brilliant uh someone i really respect who was on the christmas episode jdh yeah loves that episode so if someone you respect loves an episode it makes me like it that bit must be a good episode this one i'm not sure if you'll have on yours or not zach allsop i have got it on there yeah i have got it on the christmas special yeah such a good episode back to that one right because it's a christmas episode from a few years ago but zach has some amazing stories about going over to america in vegas and staying with the gangster yeah like that it's brilliant it's so good obviously first episode with zach and jay is great because we spoke about all like the breaking into festivals and conor mcgregor fights and stuff like that but like zach obviously jay have this has the stories as well but yeah yeah that's that call step episode so good i love it i love it it's really underrated app yeah because we did the 12 pods of christmas every other day a new guest was coming out so the listens weren't as huge as they should be.

1:15:11It kills it off way too quickly because people don't realise, yeah. He's a top 10 stories app, so go and listen to it. Raphael Rowe. I've got it, of course, yeah. A man that was wrongfully, he was racially profiled in the 90s, went to prison for a murder, he did not commit. And since then, obviously that's all interesting, that's his life, and the pain that came of that. But since then, he's also done some even more interesting stuff and he's hosts, he presents Netflix inside the world's toughest prisons. So we got to hear all of those stories firsthand. I think he's done two, two episodes, three episodes.

1:15:45He might have done the hat. He's done two episodes. Has he done two? Yeah, I don't, he's not been in the studio, has he? No, two episodes. Yeah, great man as well. Next one. Yeah. Hardest geezer. Oh yeah, I forgot about Russ. Hardest geezer. Episode one especially because episode one was like, we didn't know that someone was capable of doing mad things. Yeah, we thought. And he's come in and gone, oh I've ran a marathon pulling a car oh I ran a marathon drinking a beer at every mile like he's done all these mental things and told us oh also I'm going to go run Africa well the reason we found him right because he's our little like niche Ed Sheeran isn't he like oh I knew Ed Sheeran before anyone else we knew Hardest Geezer before anyone else because he was just Zach Allsopp's mate yeah so Zach Allsopp sorted that out for us yeah so he said and do you know what I'll be honest I actually didn't know whether or not to have him on because Zach said look I've got this mate and he had like a social media but he didn't have any followers and he was like I've got him on he's done some mad stuff and he's planning to do this and I was like is he just a nutter from your area though we've had plenty of nutters on but like is he just a nutter and then when we when he came in I thought fuck me you've got a bit you have like you just knew something was going to happen yeah well like he said he had to go and train in the mountains to kind of get used to the altitude and stuff and then he ran he was just there and he was like I'm going to run home from Asia to get back home to Brighton Way and then yeah and then obviously he's gone on to do mad things and be this huge yeah and it's been a pleasure seeing him fucking go from strength to strength yeah so deserved he he is the most driven if we had a category here for most driven podcast guest he'd be it'd be up there number if not number one because he's just unbelievable okay let's see if you got this next one rory mcsorley i don't i don't he swam with dolphins jack he got saved by dolphin i should have had him on there you can't say they're not interesting stories.

1:17:34Yeah, I'm taking him off for someone. One hell of a character. Yeah, Rory McSorley. One hell of a character, but my word, the stories are absolutely insane as well. Yeah, he's a bit loopy as Rory, but I think he's great. Just like, just so many unusual stories that I don't think anyone else has ever experienced. I think I left him off because he's in another category of mine. Okay. Yeah, but that's on there. Who else you got? Dominic Milton Trott. Yeah. He's already made two lists here. Yeah, Dominic Milton Trott, the man that's tried over 162 different drugs there or thereabouts. When he spoke about being in India and trying to bang Lassie, hallucinating, seeing some weird, weird things, but it also happened to be at the time they were floating dead people down the river.

1:18:14Yeah, some mad, mad stories. And that actually happened. That wasn't him hallucinating. He actually saw it. So imagine tripping out on that. Then I've got one that I got in a little bit of trouble for. Don't know if it's ever been spoken about publicly. Dean Stop. oh yeah i did get in trouble for that i got an email didn't i yeah we were gonna go priz yeah close to priz priz we got an email from the i almost got a teardrop tattoo yeah yeah i forgot about that email dean started some mad stories yeah he doesn't make my list just but um yeah we got told uh we had to take certain yeah x sbs soldier yeah um special boat service is it or is it sas is air service so you think it would be yeah i think it is yeah yeah he's got some absolutely incredible stories and then my final one ben pearson oh yeah i love ben uh ex traffic cop yeah and was on was it channel five's um police interceptors yeah i absolutely love ben um ended up experiencing ptsd from how much he went through as as a police officer he cried didn't he bless him and i just think it's such a good episode he's such a nice guy yeah i love that he was able to cry just on the internet like that was brilliant yeah he didn't like he knew the audience was going to be big and like more people should uh if you're feeling like that then then share those emotions what a lovely lovely man he uh he constantly well not constantly it makes sound like a bad thing but i've seen him post a few times about having been on happy hour i think he really appreciated being on as well so yeah what a lovely man we should maybe look to Getting back on one day.

1:19:50So that's my 11. Have I missed anyone you've got on your list? Again, Fabrice Mwamba, just because the story of hearing him die. Yeah. Like, if Luke Tarrant's on there for losing a leg, Fabrice Mwamba lost his life. Yeah, that's a fair point. So that's who I've got. And then the other one is Simon Wilson. Yeah, great story. The Afghanistan story is unbelievable. This is so hard to narrow these down. I know, I feel bad for the people who haven't made it, but I just think I'm forgetting loads of people. But there we go. That's our top sort of 12 or 13 on that one. We've got two more to go through.

1:20:22So we've got two that are pretty similar. Top 10, Jack's top, these are individual. We don't have to agree on these. Jack's top 10 best guests of 2025 and Stevie's top 10 guests of 2025, the year that has been. And then we're going to finish on the top 10. I've done 11, I couldn't decide. Okay, I've done the same. I've done 11 on both. Oh, great. The top, Jack's most, I know I said to you, write your 11 best guests ever. yeah i've kind of done that but i've gone for the most happy hour guests ever okay sum up happy hour so shall we start with our best of the year yeah let's do best of the year okay who have you got okay i've got greg james yes i've got greg james bear in mind we've only done probably about 40 guests 45 because sometimes we do double weeks we take weeks yeah it's hard to kind of not allow people to go into this list because it's such a smaller pool of people to choose from like the other one we had like 200 guests to pick from yeah this is only like the 40 and i think i had 10 who could have made this list yeah so it was a difficult one to do but greg james i think is as as i said at the start it's it's basically a main show yeah just with a guest who has interesting stories i've done mine in order by the way from 10 to from oh i haven't yeah that's fine yeah so greg james yeah tom davis tom davis correct yeah correct yeah correct yeah tom davis yeah joe marler correct This is good.

1:21:41Yeah. Adam Radcliffe. Oh, wow. No Adam Radcliffe for you? No, no, he didn't. What does the man have to do to make your top 10? He's road from America to England. I think it's because he's sexy. I thought, fuck you, Adam. You can't have good stories as well. Yeah, you can't put that in his bio. You made the top 10 of 2025 happy hour. It was brilliant. Oh, well, fuck you then. Yeah. Jamie Hutchinson. Yeah. You got him? Yeah. Okay, good. so Jamie Hutchinson comedian very funny people seem to absolutely love his episode as well Grace Neutral yes yeah I fucking loved that episode such a good episode she was brilliant so body modification expert and what's it called scarification stick tattoo oh body poke stick and poke tattooing yeah very very good guest yeah window kid yeah knew he'd be in your list I love window kid I think also just the moment of him facetiming the Uber driver is just such such a funny moment I could speak about Greg for hours.

1:22:40I think he's brilliant. I wonder if this one will be in yours. Tim Oliver. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yeah. I remember people saying like, obviously we made the joke as well. Like you've gone from having Ricky Gervais to having a Ricky Gervais impressionist. That's not the point though. Also, if he was an impressionist of any other celebrity that we hadn't had on, that's such an interesting person to interview. Someone who is an impressionist to someone and they live their life and earn their money doing this as a career. It's so funny. It's just because they were linked. I think people were a bit like, and now we've had Gervais again anyway.

1:23:10So fuck him. But I just think the Tim Oliver episode's really, really good, really interesting. And I think he's really funny how he is like that most of the time, but can also just have these normal conversations. I think you hit the nail on the head. I think, just to reiterate that, I think we had him on because, not because it's David Brent, although we obviously find David Brent hilarious. It's because he's an impressionist. We've had a tattoo artist on. We've had a fucking S8 SBS guy. We've had all these different people. and I want to know what it's like to live your life as someone else.

1:23:40He's also arguably the biggest impressionist. I'm the best. Yeah, he's so well known for it. Yeah. Like, I don't know who else would get the guy who looks like Gordon Ramsay or something. It's like, I don't know. I've not seen him do impressions other than looking like him. I don't know how good these other people are. Tim Oliver, you see pop up all the time. People love him as well. People love him. So I think he deserves a place. This one's definitely in yours. Adam Pearson. Adam Pearson is in my list. Yeah, obviously. Adam Pearson. Absolute beautiful man. Yeah. He has neurofibromatosis and has lived a life that none of us could even imagine living.

1:24:17And he's still just the kindest. He's got the... So funny. If there was a list of top 10 guests with the best heart, he'd be number one. Yeah. Yeah. He's just... He's got us cookies. Yeah. He's just the most friendliest, loveliest man. And we need to do a Jack and Stevie vlog where we go and see him. Yeah. We have to go and do the day in his town. Yeah. He's so funny as well. He's just fucking brilliant. Love him. So then I've got two more. Nick Helm told you I put him in a list he was one I left because he's in my top funniest but yeah clearly he would make it yeah he has to realistically and then my 11th shout as we said it was a top 10 but my 11th shout was Tom Garrett Tom Garrett yeah just really like the guy I just love that he's just willing to talk about shit that most people probably shy away from brilliant so who have I missed from yours There's two on mine that didn't make yours.

1:25:08Tom Garrett, I completely forgot about. Wow. So I'm actually going to... And do you know what? The two that you missed out on mine are 10 and 9. Okay. Because I've done mine in order. So that's not bad then. No. So number 10, I've got Mr. Doodle. Yeah, it is a very good episode. A fascinating story. Yeah. I don't know if I would have just found it weird because I know him. Maybe. Because I'm not giving him that. I just thought he's such a fascinating character. and when I watched his documentary on Channel 4 obviously we already had the link with you knowing him but I was so proud that we knew of him and wanted him on because I think it sums up Happy Hour, like that is a mad story if I didn't know who we were and I stumbled upon this podcast and I listened to that episode I'd be like I need to listen to more and it's so cool that we've now just got that obviously hidden behind a tree at the moment, immortalised on our studio wall is Mr.

1:25:59Doodles Doodles in at number 9, Mo Farah yeah character he's a character he is a character all I think of whenever I think of the Mo Farah episode though is just North London forever he'd just say that randomly yeah I'd go what was it if you had to give one of your medals back which one would you give back Mo and he'd go North London forever and I was like you are as mad as a hatter but we love you Mo and what a legend absolute legend huge guest as well in at number 8 and now I'll rattle through these because these are all similar to your list in at number 8 I've gone for Tim Oliver yep number seven would be seven oh i fucked i fucked up i did have nick helm in there nick helm's number seven number six window kid yeah number five tom davis yep number four joe marler yeah number three i i've messed this up i've messed this up i've done i think i've done 12 i've got two number threes let's forget about it number three grace neutral yeah and jamie hutchinson okay i'll join yeah join number two greg james and number one my favorite guest of 2025 is adam pearson so good isn't it yeah what episode that is there we go so if you've missed any of those episodes over this last year just go and give them a listen we obviously love them for a reason so hopefully you guys will as well yep and uh obviously we wrote this before the latest ricky gervais one as well yeah so um that's why gervais isn't in the top 10 but he it'd be in mine clearly because i absolutely love him right uh jack's top 10 most happy hour guests ever so i've just done just top 10 of all time i didn't necessarily go there the most happy hour do you want me to start with mine yeah you go first this time so these are guests that i think gave a great interview are interesting characters but ultimately if you didn't know who they were and you listened to that episode it sums up what this podcast is all about so i've got rory mcsorley okay yeah i think uh he's i i obviously tracked him down for years and it was a thing on the pod as well it was a thing we were cracking up at his stories on the podcast and people kept like messaging us being like oh i know him i know him it's like no you don't no one seemed to know him mate it was like it was like a mini documentary me trying to track him down yeah i was trying to find him for all these years and i found him and he came on and it was it was fascinating We've spoken about him, but Michael Francis.

1:28:21Yeah. I remember when he left, he actually, or he might have even said it on the podcast. I can't quite remember, but he said, I do these all the time, and that is one of the best I've ever done. I think it was that moment when we all stood up. He said it then. Yeah, he was blown away by it. And I think that really was a great pat on the back for me and you and what we do. Number three, I've got Ben Foster. Okay. Because I've seen, Ben obviously does his own pod. At the time he'd come on ours, he hadn't had a podcast. Ben was my most listened to on Spotify rap for podcasts this year I text Tom Ochoa is that how you say his last name always Rhino Legs Rhino Legs I text Rhino Legs about it and he was buzzing and he said there would be no Fozcast if it wasn't for us so that is a pat on the back he did follow it up and say well maybe not for a few months anyway so Ben Foster number four Adam Pearson mixed comedy with great stories a little bit of pain in there as well just a brilliant story number five, Debra Meaden yep, first one on my list that we've actually got shared on this list I think that was the first real time where I was like I can't imagine she'd ever done another big podcast there was a weird level of nerves going into hers as well because she's a dragon, you don't know what to expect and she's just the best person Danny D absolutely sums up what this show's about probably more than anyone that is like yeah it's a little bit silly we talk about sex and this but like ultimately like it's it's really fucking funny yeah Peter Blexley sums up Happy Hour yep also in my list nice Asim Chowdhury not in my list I don't know why I didn't put him on my list because he's probably one of my favourites ever but I think as I said earlier in the episode I've tried to make my lists spread out a bit more just to bring up more guests and speak about more guests and the ones I've got I'm still happy with fair enough William Hanson Not on my list, but I did love him.

1:30:20I think he's so different to us. Do you know what I mean? He's a posh, camp, gay, etiquette expert. Yeah. And we are not posh, straight men. Camp. Yeah, you are, but I'm talking about me. All right, lad. Straight men with not any manners. So the way we clicked with William, I think it's more testament to him than us. Oh, yeah, it's all him. We're pathetic. he's just fucking just I can't I just don't know he's just a character but he is just so sweet and he knows how William Hanson should be yeah yeah he's actually not stuck up in the slightest he's very good at it but yeah if you watch one of his clips and you're a bit of a cynic like I am you might think oh he's a bit arrogant how's he telling people to it's all a little bit tongue in cheek with William yeah he's probably he's probably closer to a comedian than he is yeah he ultimately doesn't care what other people are choosing to do yeah He'll just keep doing what he wants.

1:31:16Because if he did care, I think I wouldn't like it. No. But he doesn't. Then I've got Rebecca Goodwin. On my list as well. Yeah. Yeah. Super, super funny. She brought the sex toys in. That's not a reason why. She brought sex toys in. I loved it. Got some in my eye. I just think sums up happy hour, mixes silliness with seriousness and all that good stuff. And then number 11, a rogue shout. Who won't be on your list. Carlton Cole. Not on my list. No. That is a rogue shout. I liked him. Very funny. some really good moments in that episode. I'm surprised it made you a top 10 though. Yeah, just top 11 most happy hour guests of all time.

1:31:51So that was mine. Okay, so the ones I've got that you don't, Dr. Belangelo. Oh yeah, you loved him. Loved that episode so much. He was probably one of our first guests like that. More serious. He's a sleep expert. He was a professor at Harvard University. Very different. But yeah, he's just speaking about like all these kind of weird science stuff and it's just so so interesting and i just absolutely loved it i think it might have been amongst loads of like youtubers and because i've never really cared for watching youtube it was such a different guest i was just like blown away by it yeah that's fair so great guest i've got blexley simon wilson got him in this list yeah i just remember episode one especially i loved episode two because obviously that's when he told us about um where was it afghanistan recently but do you think simon wilson could be a contender for collectively the best two episodes where like one and two are both so solid.

1:32:45Yeah, I reckon so. Yeah. Yeah. Asim's probably up there as well. Danny's up there, but yeah, definitely Wilson. Pie Face I've got in there. Yeah. Just love him. What a funny man. Then I've got Debra Mead and got Danny D, got Rebecca Goodwin, Tom Aspinall. Oh yeah. And I've got him in there. Even though I don't care for UFC that much, I think he just surprised me so much. it's just such a normal humble person considering he's going out there and battering people in the face but to be able to stand there as like one of the best to do it and just say I might lose you don't get that there's a level of a level of sort of like honesty that you don't really tend to get with fighters that have to put on this bravado all the time yeah I get there normally egging it up but I quite like that he doesn't and I know maybe I see some UFC fans are a bit like don't like that because it's just an opinion thing but I just really liked him I thought he was so nice.

1:33:38And a side note, again, I think I've spoken about this on the pod before, but he is someone, I can't claim to be mates with him in terms of texting him all the time, right? But he's somebody that, since he left, I don't think he knew what show he was coming on to. He must have got on with us, right? Because he comments on my Instagram from time to time. I think I said this before on the pod, but he commented on the Grace Neutral photo I posted and said, love this one. Oh, so maybe he just listens every now and then. Yeah, madness, madness. Then I've got Joe Marla. Yeah. Dara Ennis. oh yes yes i was surprised he wasn't in your list he should be in my list he should be in my list yeah and then i've got my um my final one bambino becky okay and i've put her in because she is someone that we'd happily have on pretty much any main show ever yeah and when i was going through them all obviously she's just done the christmas special with us but when i was going through them the love doctors one came up and i think she's so good in that yeah she is good i think she was she's just shone in that episode so much and i think the fact that we keep wanting her back and that i imagine she's going to be on another episode all the other guests they probably might not come on again yeah i couldn't necessarily go oh they'll probably be on in two months with her if she we're like oh we need someone to come on she's the easy shout yeah she was good in that she was better in love doctors than she was in her interview yeah yeah because then she could just be herself she's not we're not she doesn't she probably doesn't want to talk about herself so much rather just be able to do what we're doing yeah she just she just showed how funny she is yeah she's a guest that can just do main shows with us whenever we need it yeah she's probably the fifth skin yeah which is weird to think about yeah you don't need to think about it just a word don't say skin then there we go there we go we've covered loads and loads of guests over the years in those lists and um it's no sort of uh bad thing if if we forgot about someone or or left someone out i mean mark noble is literally like the most awesome person i've ever been able to do a podcast with.

1:35:35Awesome. But like, I'm in awe of him. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Actually works. So it's like the fact that I haven't even put him on any of these lists just shows that there are some fucking truly terrific people that haven't made the list. Yeah. Nothing negative against any, some, most of them. Yeah. Yeah. Out of all maybe 300 guests we've ever done, there's probably only three people we didn't like. Yeah. And that is testament to us being nice people and getting on with people and ultimately people in general because people are nice people are class aren't they people are class and this is the best job in the world we couldn't do it without you guys like we said at the top of the show we really appreciate that you love the main shows because ultimately if a guest ever pulls out and sometimes there are things that fall through at the last minute and then i'm sort of left without a guest at the last second it's nice to be able to just get the mates in and chat yeah people enjoy that just as much that takes the pressure off us but getting to meet these people and chat to these people and when i'm old robbie knox said this to me when the first times i ever met him and it stayed with me so life's about stories just having stories right so when you're 60 70 80 and you're sat around you're talking to your grandkids or you're 40 years old and you're in a pub life's all about having stories and i think happy hour has made me of course a richer person financially but a richer person in terms of the knowledge of wealth that i have now yeah through people that we spoke to i can sit down in a pub and talk about adam pearson's life and talk about the scarification that grace neutral showed us and how danny d started out and all of these wonderful people and that's because of this podcast so what a show we make yeah and thanks to all the guests that have given us your time yeah and thank you ultimately to uh to the listeners because we couldn't do it without you thanks for uh sticking with us for all these years i would love to know just how long you guys have been listening for because the show has changed and gone through different sort of eras, but ultimately the guest steps have always been the same.

1:37:33Yeah, and we've just seen wrapped, just finished all that. And my word, some of the minutes. Get a life. Get a life. Fucking hell. Happy Betwixmas y’all. In the final episode of the year, Jaack and Stevie decided the best festive finale would be to look back on all of the guests we’ve ever had on Happy Hour and decide who the sexiest 11 are.

We debate a genuinely controversial Top 10 that’s guaranteed to split opinion. We have to jog Stevie’s memory too as we go through a top 11’s list that he made in the back of the car while smashed after the Christmas special recording.

We also rank the funniest guests ever, the best stories the podcast has produced, and give our personal picks for the top guests of the past year. Plus, we settle the debate on who the most “Happy Hour” guest is that could genuinely be our honorary Fifth Skin…
