which animal animal's gonna know that how why are you thinking that just because it's an animal that it doesn't think about these things suddenly it's got the power of speech and communication right right okay so all right let me ask you this what animal are you asking that to because you can only ask what one animal okay but but it can communicate with me right yeah it does understand what i'm 18:05This is 90 % of my conversations with Jack. You think that when Pixar makes an animated movie, they take a film crew to the location where they want to set their animated movie and they film it. Right. And then they draw over. That's why they take like 10 years. What they just filmed. That's a good point. You're telling me that's not how they do it then. You know what I think? I think animators draw these things. Maybe. I was going to ask, could you come up with a name for a porn version of Ratatouille? And then I thought, is it wrong to do that to kids' films? 22:46But you've actually got an actual film coming out. I don't know what the correct term, but like a normal actual movie coming out. Yeah, it's difficult. What do you call it? She can act. she can act right it's mad it's mad so when's the film out the film is out um it premieres on saturday at the cambridge film festival and um and then who knows what's going to happen with it we've got to find a distributor did you did you is this funded from yourself or how yeah i paid for it uh cost about 10 000 pounds to make not very much at all i've just used all of my skills that I've collected over the years making porn to produce a low budget film.

23:50Two people pretty much in one location, really small crew, just me, a guy with the boom mic and my producer, two actors and that's it. Was it weird for you? Because when you were filming it, were you just sort of at one point going, oh, now you should just fuck? I wasn't. No. what what what are the difficulties going like from a director's standpoint like are you worried that it won't be taken seriously because of your other work or is it i guess there's that their worry there but also i think the work speaks for itself like even when you watch the trailer you don't think oh this is someone trying to make a film you're like oh wow this this looks like a proper movie yeah yeah but then does it but then even that like like i guess it's going off what stevie said but does that feel offensive then to you do i mean the fact that my reaction is like oh you can actually make films like that is what you've been doing for 20 years but yeah so does that feel a little bit like you're on the back foot already uh no because i'm i i expect that from people who know me for for one thing right but then it's been really nice when people have seen the film and they don't know who i am they just talk to me about the film and go oh wow it's so great i loved how you did this and i loved how you did that right and they're having a proper film-like conversation with me and it's like it's nice yeah yeah i bet is your director name still dick bush or are you richard bush for that i'm rick bush yeah shout out this guy i love i love that i love the thought of someone just being a big fan of your back catalogue and stumbling upon this new film yeah and not knowing that it's like what they're thinking is going to happen.

28:04You start as a runner and you just work for free. And this was a paid job. And I was like, okay. And I just, they just, two weeks into the job, they got me filming. I was a cameraman then. Wow. And then a few months later, they were like, do you want to direct something? I was like, okay. I feel very fast. Yeah, a little bit. In a deep end. So how old were you? I was 25. 25. So were you always quite a confident person? I assume it takes some confidence to go into this line of work, doesn't it? A little bit, yeah. Because I couldn't do it. Especially directing. You've got to know what you want out of a scene.

28:44But how do you know that when you're not from that world? Do you know what I mean? You have to learn pretty quickly, right? Yeah. But then, so I was filming. Yeah.
