In short

The episode is mostly a “Happy Hour” chat that blends space/astronomy discussion (moon missions, why moon landings aren’t fake, comms delays, risks of space travel), plus animal/intelligence debates (cats vs dogs, animal cognition, IQ vs other intelligences), and ends with a 5-question pub quiz run by Dara Ennis (with play-along questions).

Guests and backgrounds

  • Darragh Ennis (off The Chase) co-hosts and leads the quiz segment; he’s known for smart, nerdy explanations and running quizzes (also on TikTok/YouTube) and has a site (daraennis.com) plus an Ireland tour.
  • Bambino Becky is the other guest at the table; the transcript doesn’t give her personal background beyond being a regular quiz/banter participant.
  • Core hosts include Jack Mates and Stevie (no detailed backgrounds given in the transcript).

Key claims

  • Moon landings are real; “internet deniers” are dismissed as idiots/crayon eaters. Space travel is dangerous but not impossible; the odds of dying are “not great” and not zero.
  • Humans should pursue ambitious space goals (moon base as a stepping stone to exploring the solar system).
  • IQ is “nonsense” as a full measure of intelligence; intelligence is multi-type (emotional, common sense, problem-solving, memory).
  • Cats are portrayed as independent/“evil” and more kitten-like toward humans; dogs are portrayed as more loyal/pack-oriented.

Notable examples

  • Explains lunar landing mechanics (lander has its own fuel; slowing down in vacuum; aiming for where the moon will be).
  • Mentions Russian space milestones (first satellite, first man/woman in space) and Laika.
  • Quiz examples: Pixar 2026 film answer “Hoppers”; Chinese zodiac 2026 “Horse”; Olivia Dean wins four Brit Awards; “Pole to Pole” documentary fronted by Will Smith; Bake Off judge replacement is Nigella Lawson.

1:41Bambino Becky:Jack Mates Happy Hour. Hello, guys. Welcome back to Jack Mates Happy Hour. Look at this. Have you ever seen a foursome so beautiful? as us four right now. We have got Stevie on the end of the table. You've got me. I'm always here. To my right is Bambino Becky. Hello. And to my left is Dara Ennis off the bloody chase. He's back for the hat trick. Well, welcome everyone. I like that you're so used to introducing me first that you've jumped to me. So in the edit, that now looks like you're going, you've got me over here, then it's going to show me and Becky, but you're not mentioning Becky. That's a mess.

2:16Bambino Becky:Yeah, I'm not used to podcasts after 660 episodes. 660. How are we? Are you doing like a devil themed one for 666? Is that what this is? He's so fucking smart. Of course, yeah. Lately, we've been going through the calendar and going, what can we do where? So we're trying to do like maybe a space themed one for Star Wars Day, May the 4th. I just give all the ideas away. Space themed is not an idea, is it? I'm just saying we're looking at dates and we're thinking good things. Yeah, yeah. So what should we do for a devil? What would you do? What would a smart man do? Oh, Halloween horror movie special.

2:48Bambino Becky:Yeah. although I'm scared of horror movies that's fine that's the point of them I've never seen any I've seen Paranormal Activity that is sick I love that name one of the worst ones nothing happens the last five minutes you see someone get dragged security footage now you have been doing the podcast round since I last seen you you've got your own podcast yeah I do you went on Italian Batch and Arthur yeah absolutely how are them boys they're great they're rivals yeah but he's smart as well isn't he Yeah, he is, but they're a lot smaller than you. You'd win in a fight. They are quite small. They are little.

3:23Bambino Becky:They're not lads. Well, they're both... He's henge, isn't he? No, yeah, like a Jack Russell is henge, but he's that size. Like a Jack Russell. Yappy, they're yappy. Sorry, sorry. You're great lads, really. He knows a lot. I remember he came on here, didn't he? Yeah. He knows a lot about the moon. Yeah. Well, the whole podcast is space-themed, isn't it? They're in a rocket. Is it? Yeah. It is. So did you have to talk about space and stuff? I think I did. I just talk, you know me. People say stuff to me and I react. I don't plan at all. Well, if I can just jump in quickly here, because you know when you're on, we like to lean on your brain.

3:55Bambino Becky:Yeah. Because Stevie and I barely have one between. That's what they say to me too. You're not here for the same reason. Okay. Can I just say that the difference when I met both of these down in the cafe, I shook Tara's hand. I was like, lovely to see you again, mate. I see Becky, I just go, yo, Jake. The cafe was full as well. I went, I'm sorry. She went, you said that a bit loud. Do you remember what happened the first time I met you? Yeah, you came up to me with a handful of beef and you said, I smell like beef. And that was the first time I met you, Jack. No, I was eating beef crisps. I'd say your Tinder dates are just wild.

4:28Bambino Becky:Now, I want to know, Dara, let's jump straight into the heavy hitters. This moon shit has been happening recently. They've spent 10 billion to what? Check the moon's still there? No, they're going to land on it and build a base. But they didn't land on it, did they? Yeah, because they have to test stuff. It's really dangerous going to the moon. The first time they went, they almost didn't make it. They almost ran out of fuel. It was seat-of-your-pants stuff. In 1969, that was really a close-run thing. They were almost out of fuel, the lander. They almost died. That was like, it was so close. So they are much more careful now.

5:01So they sent around, checked the equipment, make sure it's all working properly, do like a recon mission before they go.

5:07Bambino Becky:But how do you, so the rocket goes up because fuel comes out, doesn't it? Yeah, but the lander. What? The lander. The lander. So the bit that actually landed on the moon has its own fuel. I had to have rockets to stop it just crashing into the moon. I had to land gently. Right. And they were skimming across. And it's really, really hard to do. How can you get that much fuel in that container to get you to the moon and back? So once you're in space, there's no air resistance. So once you start moving, you'll keep moving. You just have to slow down. Oh, you don't need as much. So basically it uses petrol to get out of the atmosphere.

5:41Bambino Becky:Hydrogen, but yeah. It's not going to put on lead is. And then once it's out the atmosphere, it's kind of just sort of floating. It's floating, but then you put some thrust onto it. You have a rocket, do a thrust, and it doesn't slow down because there's nothing to slow it down. Once it's in motion, it's like if you're ice skating and you start moving, you just glide because there's very little resistance. If there's no resistance because you're in a vacuum, you just keep going. You have to actually use rockets to slow down and you'll just keep going. Can I ask a stupid question here then? No, no stupid questions on it.

6:13So if you're looking at the moon, yeah, I can see the moon there. Yeah. And we're going, we want to aim at that. But once we leave the atmosphere, we're just going to keep floating. Do I actually want to aim over there, knowing the moon's going to move? Oh, yeah, yeah. You have to go to where it's going to be. So you're not actually aiming. The moon's there, and we're aiming there going, we think we'll edit. Oh, no, there's no think. It's maths. They know. No think neither. They know. They do it to within a fraction of a millimeter.

6:36Bambino Becky:It's like whipping a cross in a corner. Yeah. Where the head's going to. Yeah, you put it in front of the player who's running. Yeah. You have to aim at them. And remember, the moon has its own gravity and the sun has very strong gravity. They account for all of that. These are clever people. People on the internet who claim these things aren't actually happening. Yeah, idiots, yeah. So when I see tweets from these people, I'm thinking that's stupid. Yes. How frustrating is it for someone with your brain seeing these tweets? I've gone the other way and I deal with them the way that they need to be dealt with.

7:05I laugh at them and I call them crayon eaters. Crayon eaters. If you have a laughable opinion, we shouldn't pretend that it's real. We should laugh at you. Right. And it comes to a point, everybody's entitled to their opinion, but it doesn't mean it's right. It doesn't mean it's factual. And if you think that like the cleverest people in the world who are working for like NASA and stuff can't figure out how to do this. You're an idiot. You don't know better than them. Yeah. Yeah. The people who denied the original moon landings, the Russians didn't even say they were fake. And the Russians had skin in the game.

7:37If they had said it was fake, it would have been brilliant. and it's a Russian space agency with some of the cleverest people in the world are saying it's real, then it's real. What the lad on Facebook says is irrelevant.

7:47Bambino Becky:Oh yeah, because that was the space race, wasn't it? America versus Russia. And Russia were winning it. Russia got the first person in space. Was it like that? Yeah, they had done all of the milestones. They got the first satellite. They got the first man in space. They got the first woman in space. It was the moon landing was the only, was the clincher for the Americans. That was the only thing that they won. We were beat by a monkey though, weren't we? A dog. Was it a dog? Laika, yeah. Oh, there's a song. Eurovision had a song about Laika. Yeah, they didn't include the bit where she didn't make it back to Earth, but yeah.

8:15Oh, I love Maggie Limbaugh. It's a good song. Look it up.

8:19Bambino Becky:They sent a dog up there and the dog died? Yeah, it's awful. I hope so. She's been up there for about 50 years. I think she's still alive just knocking about. I had a great jump in the sky. I throw it in the air. So when there was a space race, it wasn't literally... They weren't literally... It was a prestige race and the Russians were ahead all the way until the Americans landed on the mill. They both sent a rocket at the same time. That's what I'm thinking, yeah. So they got the first man and woman in space, the first satellite in space. They landed something on Venus before anybody else did.

8:48They were way ahead. The Russian, the cosmonauts were ahead of the astronauts almost all the way until the Americans landed.

8:54Bambino Becky:Are the cosmonauts the Russian team? Yeah. This is cool. When you picture it like an F1 race, it's really cool. I mean, they're going to the moon anyway. It's quite cool. It's amazing. Easy one. The way to think about this is the first time we had powered flight until someone landed on the moon was less than 70 years. That was in a single human's normal lifetime. We went from being stuck to the ground to being on a moon in 60 odd years. And now we are flying a helicopter on Mars by remote control. That's mad, isn't it? And that's like 120 years between those two events. we went from not having airplanes to flying a helicopter on another planet in a single human's lifetime.

9:39To us, it feels kind of like just normal that there's these robots on Mars. It's like, yeah, he's just taking another photo of a rock. And do you know how big those robots are? They're the size of a car. Everyone has this idea. It's like something you'd fit on your dining room table. They're literally the size of a car. They're a slab. What kind of car? Like a family car. Like, you know, one that you could fit four or five people in. They're huge.

10:00Bambino Becky:Yeah, mad. I do find it fascinating. Fiona's been absolutely obsessed. Fiona's been. At least that's where she says she's been. Every weekend. Good, good. She's been obsessed with this moon stuff. Okay. And when, so I went to the Tyson Fury fight the other week. Yeah. And I was in my hotel room and I was a bit pissed and Fee FaceTimed me and we both just sat there watching that thing happen. How are they live? It was really special. How are they live on TikTok? It's romantic. They're not live. They're almost live. But I struggle to get signal in some areas of Norwich. Yeah. Again, you tell them, Boomer.

10:38NASA. You know, NASA. Literally, they've spent billions of dollars. I'm sure they can figure out comms. They need to have communication. They have to communicate with ground. But it takes time. It takes a few seconds to come back because it's that far away. Does it help that they're closer to the satellites? No. Or is that worse? The distance between the satellites and Earth and Earth and the moon are so vastly different. The moon's a quarter of a million miles away. She'd only get like one bar. Yeah, I bet.

11:04Bambino Becky:You're not getting 5G, definitely. TikTok on the moon. Would you go up there if they... No, it's too dangerous. Really? Yeah. What if you were paid to go up there? A million pounds. Well, I'm sure they got paid. I can't imagine it for free. They don't get paid that much. I thought they'd pay to go up there. No, I wouldn't go because it's too dangerous. Really? Yeah. So they're really brave. If they could guarantee my safety in some magical way, I'd jump. I'd love to do it. I'd love to go. But it's too dangerous. Yeah. Like if the way to look at this is If someone said Would you like a million pounds You go yes of course You go okay If someone said Would you like a million pounds Would you don't wake up tomorrow Would you take it Of course you would No Waking up tomorrow is worth more Than any amount of money Yeah And the odds of you Waking up tomorrow If you go in a rocket launch Are not bad But they're not great either What would you say The rough odds are If you just put a number out Well recently It's been better There hasn't been an explosion But it's not that long ago Since you know The Challenger disaster And not that many people go to space.

11:59So, and very few people go to the moon. So, you know, there's a, it's more than I'm willing to risk. Right. You know, it's probably like low percentages chance of dying. Yeah. But it's not zero. Right. Yeah. Why do we care about going onto the moon again now? Great question. I was thinking now, I was thinking, what are we getting out of it? Well, they've done it now, they've planted the flag. What are we getting from the moon now? It would be, it would be a genuine tragedy if humans only did things because of small reasons. This is a beautiful, big reason. We should do ambitious things. We should go to other planets.

12:35We should be big. And they are planning long term on building a base on the moon to use as a point to start exploring the solar system, to sending people to other planets. What? That's the point. It's far-fetched, see. No, it's not far-fetched. This is real. Because I'm from Wales. I moved to London. That's as far as my world stretches. And for most people, yeah, but as a species, we are a remarkable species who in a hundred and odd years have done amazing technological things. Yeah. If we only do that so that, you know, we can doom scroll in bed. How sad is that? What a waste. You are right. You are right.

13:07Let's be bold. And we shouldn't be doing this with NASA. There should be a World Space Agency. Everybody should be contributing this. It should be our thing as a species together. We should be sending people to Mars. We should be, you know, exploring other galaxies. We should do big things. it's a sad and empty world if we don't aim big and the people who argue about oh it's a waste of money are more than willing to spend it on like nuclear weapons which costs way more than the space program or wings though yeah you know we waste so much money on like pointless things I don't think this is a pointless thing this is an aspiration and we should be aspirational we should inspire people when you're a kid you don't want to go oh do you know what we should build a slightly faster train to like Manchester you go no I want to be an astronaut That's a good point I'd like slightly faster trains now though Do you know what?

13:55Actually I'm going to put my oar in this I would like trains That are exactly the same speed But are cheaper And have working internet Yeah I'd take that as well I like that If I had to spend 45 minutes More on a train But it was half the price And the internet actually worked So I could do some work Or I'd go Oh you can spend 45 quid more And get there like Nearly an hour quicker Yeah

14:16Bambino Becky:Get the boat Yeah I'm going on the bullet train tomorrow. You excited? Yeah. Where's the bullet train? Is that not in Japan? Yeah, that's where I'm going. You're going to Japan tomorrow? Tomorrow, like the day after today. When are you going? Tomorrow morning. Are you? Nipping to Japan? What? Why? I'm just going to Japan by some Pokemon cards. Just you? No, me and my cousin, but we're going to go on the bullet train, which is... Are you? Yeah, so the way I see it, it's floating. That's Maglev, yeah. So it's not... Don't touch the... Oh, like Magsafe on the phone. Yeah. That is cool as fuck. Yeah, but instead of being drawn together, they're pulled apart.

14:49So does it look like they're floating then? I haven't seen it up close, but they are floating. It doesn't look like it. Why doesn't it tip? Well, because there's magnets all the way along. Strong magnets. It's just floating above the field. That's mad. I don't know if all the bullet trains are maglev trains, but there are maglev trains. They do exist. So you could technically push it off, but it weighs lots of tons. You could technically push a normal train off a rail. That's true.

15:13Bambino Becky:Could a mouse run underneath it then? yeah I don't know what happened to it actually that's a good question there'd be force pushing down might kill it might do let's find no let's not find it if you love hearing Dara talk which we do about anything smart they should check out your podcast yeah well basically I just talk about nonsense like this the whole time it's called a normal meets a nerd me and I'm clearly the nerd and my mate Dylan is the normal and he asks me weird questions usually stuff supplied by people who are listening yeah I love it I love it you've not had an episode out for a while but you've got plenty coming yeah we've got more coming just people seem to think that you guys might appreciate this that podcasters get paid an awful lot of money our podcast actually costs us money to make right so we do it in our spare time so i'll probably do a lot of content sometime in the next few months and release more has he has dylan ever and he's a brilliant comedian isn't he has he ever asked you a question that you didn't know the answer to um yeah so when when we do it i get given the questions a little bit in advance because i like to have i'm talking about numbers and i can i can do hand wavy stuff with you guys but on that i like to know like what's the actual number what so i do a little bit of research and sometimes i have to actually look it up right and sometimes there is no answer yeah you know sometimes it's just absolute nonsense you know what what color do other people see yeah we'll never know is the yellow you see the same as yeah we've discussed this on here haven't we yeah well we did an episode recently where we discussed stoner thoughts yeah the kind of thoughts people have when they're high and we wrote a couple down to see if you'd know the answers.

16:40One of them's silly. Do crabs think fish can fly? No, because crabs don't think at that level. Don't be ridiculous. How do we know that though? They don't have the capacity for it. There's a certain neuronal capacity needed for abstract thought. So you need to have a certain size and shape and function of brain and you can kind of prove it. So elephants recognise themselves. So if you paint a cross on an elephant's head and it looks in a mirror, it will pat at it trying to see what's there. So it knows that the elephant in the mirror is it It gets that So there are some tests you can do on animals To see if they're self-aware If they've got abstract thoughts I don't think we've ever tested crabs But most crustaceans and stuff are not all that intelligent Because they don't need to be What's the smartest seawater creature?

17:26One of the whales are dolphins So do they get shocked that crabs are walking? I don't need to get shocked I think it's just a thing They're nasty Like if you got teleported here from the Stone Age, you saw a bus, you'd be amazed. But if you see a bus, it's just a bus. You know, it's just normal. Yeah. They're not going to be surprised.

17:47Bambino Becky:So my cat, I've got a cat. Evil, all of them. He doesn't own a cat. I have got a cat. So a bit of context, listeners will be bored to death for this. A bit of context. About a year ago, cat kept coming to my doorstep. Then all of a sudden, started coming in the house. Now never leaves the house. We put a paper collar on it. So the cat adopted you. Yeah. We put a paper collar on it, said, if this is your cat, call us. Went back to its owner. We said, your cat keeps coming around. They didn't seem that hard. And now it just sleeps in our house all the time. Every morning, the cat, because the cat will sleep in a spare room, it will come into our room where me and Thea are, and it will just pat us and jump on us and pat us.

18:24Bambino Becky:Is the cat thinking, good to see the guys again? No, it's probably looking for food. Food. Oh, it's not ever going like, so it never loves me. It never goes easy. It's really, really hard to put that kind of context on non-human animals. But basically, cats are relatively solitary creatures. And they tend to form bonds with their kittens and not a lot else. Because cats are malicious evil fuckers, to be honest. Right. Can you just tell Jack now, once and for all, that cat doesn't care about him? It might vaguely care about him. A lot of the research suggests that cats think that we are basically useless large cats.

19:02Oh, really? So this is why they Well it's obviously in like Think they do They act towards us like they would to a kind of tragic Non-functioning sort of half kitten cat So cats meow at humans Cats don't meow at each other They only meow at their young Why are they doing that to Because they think we're kind of stupid kitten idiots Basically we're terrible at being cats A lot of the time they bring like dead animals Because they think you're a bit rubbish That's what that's been doing to me all the time It's been giving you so much They're like, they think, oh, you're not a very good cat or I'm paying a bit of rent here so that, you know, worse quits kind of thing is another option.

19:39They seem like that for their sling. They meow and they do things to humans that in normal cat life they would only do to kittens. Your cat knows your thing. You're a kitten. All humans are.

19:49Bambino Becky:However. I swear this is true, right? So in about four months, Titch has brought in 10 mice, right? and never, never ever to me. Always to Fiona. Is it? Yeah. So does that mean that Titch thinks Fee is a fucking idiot? Or that is attached to Fee and views her as sort of part of her social group, but not you. She likes Fee more. Or possibly, yeah. It's kind of hard to say. We did actually get the vibe she likes Fee more. She always goes to Fee. She hates me. What have I done wrong? I feed her. That's all you're good for. You're a butler basically.

20:31Cats are vicious. But like if you think about it, like pets are weird. It's easy to put human emotions onto an animal and that's not how they work. But like dogs must think we're like Elder Lord of the Rings because they're loyal to us. Dogs are genuinely loyal. They like us, but we live way longer than them and we have basically got superpowers. We're able to do stuff that they're not able to do. So they must be like, oh wow, it's like a last again kind of thing.

20:58and like dogs are genuinely clever you know there's dogs that know hundreds of words they can be trained to do things and they're willing to do it but they they subsume because they're pack animals they kind of view us as the leader of their pack or member of their pack whereas so like in my house my dog is and i mean this in every way possible i love my dog and i hate her at the same time she is a knob what dog have you got i've got a westy shih tzu cross i will i will

Read the full transcript

21:22Bambino Becky:just say because of your accent there was a small moment i love my dog but i hit her at the same time

21:31she very clearly thinks that my son who's seven is beneath her in the pecking order and she will steal his food if he's not watching it all that kind of stuff she doesn't listen to a word he says yeah so she is she it's not that all humans are above her she's kind of going yeah okay the big one he's he gets angry i'll do what he says and you know the other big one she kind of looks after me, I look after her. And then my older, my daughter, yeah, kind of listens to her. My son ignores everything he says and nicks the food off his plate if she gets a chance. One of the arguments we had on the Shower Thoughts episode was whether dogs understand their names when we say it.

22:06Oh, is it the tone? Or is it the tone? So like if it's called Harry and you go, Harry, come here, or Harry, will it still know? Like if you, do you actually have to say the name? It depends on the dog. So some dogs are thicker than others. You know, there are lollopin' idiot dogs and there's ones that are really clever. My dog, knob that she is, is very clever.

22:24Bambino Becky:What did you say she was? She's a Westie Shih Tzu Cross. So a shit Highland Terrier, basically. She looks like Toto at Wizard of Oz. She's like tiny. She's about six kilos. She's really small. But she's genuinely very, very clever. She figures stuff out. And she genuinely knows her name. If you whisper her name, she goes, like, she knows. But then there are other dogs where they only get it from context. So they will go, if you're looking at them and standing over them, they'll respond to their name. So it varies. Trust you to have a smart dog. That was always going in the way, wouldn't it? I've just got visions of your dog being like a dog chaser.

22:56Well, no, like the previous... We had two dogs for a while. One of them died, Beau, and he was my wife's dog, a Bichon Frise. Gorgeously beautiful looking dog, but dumb as wood. Like really. Genuinely lovely, nice, approachable, lovely temperament. Everything about him was nice, but like he was a little bit deaf, which didn't help his cause, but he's just not the cleverest dog in the world. Do you hate cats? Oh yeah Cats are pure evil Yeah They have no loyalty And they would eat you Before you're cold If you die You know the way You have things like Grave Friars Bobby No You know Grave Friars Bobby The dog in Scotland The loyal dog Who waited by the owner's grave Oh yeah And there's a Japanese version There's loads Around the world There's loads and loads of versions Of the dog that waits For its owner to come home Who's never coming home Gellert Welsh Not one of a cat No No this is true As soon as they can open tins They don't need us anymore You're going to go home And just be like that And not only that, but they're just very independent and dogs are dependent.

23:52The other thing is they do stuff that they know is wrong and they do it anyway. Cats. Yeah, so if you've got a glass and it's there and it's on the table and the cat's on the table, you go, don't, don't. And they look at you and knock it off. Because they do it for kicks. Cats are pure evil.

24:04Bambino Becky:I hate my cat now. I actually hate it. I've always been a dog person. 32 years of my life. Last year, I went kind of into this cat now. Now, the dog just made me fucking hate it. I like dogs. I don't like owning dogs. I figured this out recently If someone else has a dog I love them I give them a pet And all that kind of stuff Having a dog in your house Barking every time Someone rings the doorbell All that stuff That's cute though isn't it It's cute It's not for me Protective What's the best animal in the world? Humans By miles Yeah but you can't do that loop Yeah you can That's not a loop What are we a plant?

24:38Probably

24:38Bambino Becky:What's the second best animal in the world? The second best animal in the world I would say In my opinion Just for sheer entertainment value Are emperor penguins I just find them hilarious. I think they're really good for them. And they like, they never cheat, do they? They can't. They can't cheat? No, it does. The way that they reproduce is so mad that they can't. So like the males get given the egg in the middle of winter in Antarctica and they have to hold it in their feet and huddle around in snowstorms. The females go off for like weeks and weeks because they have to walk for miles, get into the sea, fish, come back, feed them over.

25:11And they have to transition. They have to swap over.

25:13Bambino Becky:Is that really what the females are doing? Or are they going to the bloody moon with feet? You're on a Vegas. They're off to Benidorm with the girls. They come back with toddler arms forever. I love it. Is Dara the smartest person you've ever been in a room with? Ever. I feel like I haven't spoken much because I've just been staring at you. Yeah, I know. I talk a lot. No, it's not as in it's brilliant. I feel like my IQ has gone up, but it's also made me quite sad. No, I can't, can it? Can I go up any higher? No. It's actually stopped. Well, it can. You can learn things. Yeah, but I can't. Just so you know, IQ is nonsense.

25:50Is it? It's absolute nonsense. It's meant to be a measure of intelligence, but you can get better at IQ tests. That means it's a skill, not a talent. Like the impossible game. Do you remember that? If you keep doing it, you get better. Yeah, it is. It's something you can learn. It's a measure of how good you are at IQ tests. It's not a measure of intelligence. What makes someone smart then? How can you actually decide? You can't measure it. There's so many different types of intelligence. I've worked with people. I've worked with senior professors. I worked in Oxford University for years. I worked with senior professors who you wouldn't trust sending on like a trip to Tesco to get something.

26:22You know, genuinely like academically brilliant, but no, literally no common sense.

26:27Bambino Becky:No street spot. You know, I worked with a guy, one of the like brilliant, brilliant scientists. He needed to bring two sat-navs with him wherever he went because he just got lost. He got lost. He used to get lost near where he lived. He had no like no sense of direction. There's different sense. There's different measures of intelligence. There's emotional intelligence, you know, common sense street smarts recall memory they're all very very different yeah iq doesn't really test them all because if you can remember like every single say football result yeah since the 90s does that make you smart it makes you have it means you have a very good memory right well you know is that intelligence so like problem solving intelligence is different to you know emotional why do people care about being in like men's so then it's a prestige thing because most people like me who are good at that kind of stuff are terrible at everything else so you kind of want the sense of achievement.

27:12You want to show, actually, I'm really good and I'm really clever. It's just a show off.

27:15Bambino Becky:Good. Good. I know why you've asked. Robbie. Knox. Robbie Knox constantly sits on this podcast and talks about how he's in Mensa. I didn't even know that. From the man himself. Look, whatever floats your boat. You know, some people like this kind of stuff. People get tattoos of their favourite football club to show how committed they are. You know, and I said that because I knew. And things like that. But if that makes you happy, if it makes you happy to go, actually, I'm clever enough to get past the threshold from ENSA. Go nuts. Be you. Don't wreck everybody's, you know, thing. If you want to believe that the moon landers are fake, be you.

27:54Do it. I'll laugh at you for it, but you do it.

27:56Bambino Becky:Enjoy yourself. Yeah, they always say, don't yuck someone's yum. Yeah, exactly. What would they say? It's a great saying. Everyone's saying that. Let people have their thing. If they're an adult who thinks going to Disney is the greatest use of their money, go nuts. I love going, yeah. I love going to Disney. Went with my kids. Brilliant. Yeah, but you've got kids. I took Jack. Can we ask the thing about the weather before we get on with the actual episode? Yeah. A little thing that I always have a gripe with is weather apps. Yeah. They'll say, it's 20 degrees. Feels like 16. That means it's 16 then.

28:30Bambino Becky:No. Because I'm feeling it. No. Yeah. That's not how you met. Yeah, I'm with you. So Becky says, yeah. Tara says, no. I'm going with you. There's time zone difference in my head. I'm slow. So, yeah, I agree with what you're saying because it is 16 because you feel 16. Feel it. That's all you need to know. No. You don't need to know the rest. That's too significant, isn't it? And someone who lived in Canada feels like it's a very real thing. Right. Okay, so a thermometer will measure the temperature of the air. Yeah. Okay, and that's what it will measure. And that is constant. And that's what the temperature is.

29:01But if that air is moving really quickly, it blows. It's the reason why, you know, blowing out fast is cold, but blowing out slow is hot. You know, the versus. No. So if you go.

29:16Bambino Becky:Oh, my word. It feels cold. Everyone's doing that at home now. Everyone's doing that. This is going to be a TikTok. I've never thought about that. So you're stripping. You're stripping. There's a cloud of warm air around you from your body. So this is why if you wear layers, it's warmer than just wearing one big thing. Because your body warms up the air around you. Okay. So if the humidity or the wind speed or the direction of the wind changes that around you, it will feel colder than it actually is or warmer. So if you go out 20 degrees, 0 % humidity, it's a nice, pleasant day. 20 degrees, 100 % humidity is roasting and really unpleasant.

29:51It makes a difference. And when I lived in Canada in the wintertime, you could go, it's minus five, feels like minus 25. That was genuinely real. Why do we care then about the one that isn't the feels like? Why don't we just, if I look at a weather app, why is it not just telling me it feels like this? I don't need, I don't care about it. Tradition. Oh, is it? Tradition. So we should be changing it, really. You should, but won't. Look, you were talking about a country, and this really annoys me about this country, that half adopted the metric system. There's basically four countries in the world that use the imperial old system.

30:22It's like America, Liberia, and Burma, Myanmar, or something. And the UK, but only for some stuff. It's like, what's the speed limit? Why didn't you change the speed limits to kilometres an hour when you change everything else to kilometres?

30:34Bambino Becky:What else is in kilometres? Nothing. You learn it in school. You learn, you have the metrics, you've got metres and all this. This is a metric system. In Ireland, we had miles per hour, but we're big boys. So we went, the whole rest of the world does it. Let's change here. I'm not having that. Can't have Brussels take away our pints. I don't want to order a half litre. We're stubborn, see. How tall are you? I am one metre 89. That's how tall I am. How tall are you? Oh, I'm six foot two inches and a peck. It's just the most irritating thing. This archaic system. So yeah, you definitely won't change.

31:08The fact that it's not in Fahrenheit anymore, unless it's hot in the UK. And then you go, actually, it's 94 degrees out today when it's really hot. Because that makes sense. Fahrenheit's annoying though, isn't it? Like surely Celsius is better. Zero frozen, hundred, foiling. Done. For science, it's better. though we don't actually use that. We use Kelvin. So different system altogether. Lord Kelvin. He was like a British scientist. Oh, okay. Yeah. So the official, the official unit for temperature is Kelvin and it starts at absolute zero, which is minus 200 and odd. And it goes up. So it's, it runs in the same increments as Celsius, but it starts at a lower point.

31:47So it starts at the theoretical zero rather than freezing point of water. I want to live for you. You really don't.

31:52Bambino Becky:I'm an absolute arsehole. Are you, are you, Do you just reel this off all the time at home? No, because my wife is incredibly intelligent and also a scientist, so she doesn't listen to my nonsense anymore. She's just like, I know. She's told him all this and then he comes to the phone and just says that. Can we flip the question we asked Becky about being in a room, it's just the smartest person you've ever been in a room with. Is this kind of the most idiotic trio you've ever sat with? Oh, not even close. Come on. Not even close. So every May, so at time of recording in a couple of weeks, I go away with my mates from home who I went to school with.

32:28People find this weird, but there's a group of about 30 of us who have known each other for over 40 years and we are still friends.

32:34Bambino Becky:I remember you saying this, yeah. Yeah, so we're going to like tourmalinas in a couple of weeks. Yeah. And there are a few lads in there, I won't name names, but there's a certain fraction of that group who if yeast could take an intelligence test would probably be. Well, that's made me feel better. But we are actually going to find out of us three idiots, Yes. Who is the smartest happy hour host? You're a host now. I'm a host. Yeah. Hostess. So, Dara, you've conceived a plan for us? I have. I have five rounds. Why are you trying to sound smart? Why have you not just said, Dara, you've written a quiz?

33:10I have written a quiz. Dara, you've conceived a plan for us. I have five rounds. I had not known we were going to have Becky here, so it's kind of probably not going to be her. Her favourite quiz in the world. Bloody lads. But if she beats you, considering it's tailored for you two, then you will never hit the end. You never know.

33:30Bambino Becky:This episode is brought to you by Kiss. Serving up the biggest tunes and the most unhinged trash talk every single day. Today, Tyler West and Chloe Burrows have served us up this pretty special, Would You Rather? Oh, I already know this is going to be bad. Okay, would you rather your group chat see your entire search history or your mum get a full transcript of the latest sort of laddie conversation you might have had. Well, you've spent some time with my mum and you know we have a fairly open relationship, so I wouldn't really worry about that. Okay, not sure what that means. It sounds a bit odd.

34:05It is odd. I'm from Norwich. Now, let the group chat see my search history. Nothing died.

34:12Bambino Becky:Right, okay. Thanks, Tyler and Chloe. That made me squirm a bit. To be fair, though, that is very kiss, completely unfiltered and a bit chaotic. and absolutely no shortage of moments you probably don't want recorded. Tune in to Kiss Breakfast with Tyler West and Chloe Burrows. Weekdays from 6am on playkiss.com. Grey roots entering the chat? Uninvited? Garnier's got you. Garnier colour sensation Root Retouch covers up to 100 % of greys in just 10 minutes. No ammonia, no mess, and the colour lasts up to four weeks. It's as easy to apply as shampoo. 34:53With those savings, your next girls' night is basically free. Find your perfect match at Walmart.com or at a store near you. There is so much NFL on ESPN right now. Monday night football, plus pregame and postgame. NFL Live, NFL Primetime. Everything you need to stay on top of every game, every week. Unbelievable. And now NFL Network is on the ESPN app. More football, more coverage, more ways to watch. Football's on. All season long on ESPN and streaming on the ESPN app. So how do we want to do it? Do we want to do all 10 questions and do the answers or do we do question, answer, question, answer?

35:36Well, you host quiz nights, don't you? I do. So how would you? I would normally do question, answer, question, answer. Let's do that. Keeps us on our toes. Good for the listener as well. I'm nervous. Can people come and be in your quizzes and stuff like that? Yeah, they go to my website, which I've recently put together because I was very lazy for years. Dara Ennis.com. I'm doing a tour in Ireland in June. And any other dates, I'll pop up there. So I do them regularly. And I do them on TikTok and YouTube on Sundays sometimes. I love your on this day thing. No, not in the fact of the day. Yeah, I love them.

36:05My mum, every time I go on Instagram, any time I see a post of yours, my mum has liked it. Every single time. My mum likes everything you post. But that's because I'm so incredibly handsome. With the quiz we're doing now, with the questions we're doing now, is it possible for people who are listening to play along? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. Let's get your pen and paper. Yeah, it's a pen and paper. So if we're ready for question number one, it's on... Do we need a name? No, well, you've got the name. You were given one at birth. We're going to go with that. If you want to invent a quiz name, you can.

36:34No, sorry, sorry about it.

36:35Bambino Becky:You only wrote one. Okay, yeah, so... Okay, I can write that. The first round is on 2026. Oh, yeah, great, yeah. So she'll be right up. So question number one is, what is the name of the Pixar movie released this year in which the central character Mabel switches her mind into and behave here a robotic beaver? Oh God, you're going to know this. How do you know that? I've seen it. Brilliant movie. It's really good. Really good film. Yeah, I took Isaac. The joy of having a kid and having a degree in animation. I haven't seen it, but I remember you banging on about it in the car. You're welcome. It's really, as an animation specialist, it's really well done as well.

37:15So good. Don't tell me. Is it the one with the lizard? Where he presses a button? Yes! Okay, see? But I don't know the name.

37:21Bambino Becky:What would you typically name a lizard? Yep. Elizabeth. I was going to say a reptile. Ooh, point. Yeah, see? Okay, well, I can't guess. Frozen? No. I can't guess and then you proceed to guess. Oh, Stevie. If you get this by blindly guessing, you are a legend. Yeah, double points if you do. I'm going to have to just write something. You're going to have to write something now. Right, do we say our answers now? Or at the end of the round? Well, I think we'll do question, answer, question, answer. Probably nicer for the thing. So, what have we got? Well, I think Becky should go first. Okay, so I've written Zootopia number six.

37:59Good guess, but no. Hoppers. Hoppers is correct. Oh, it's the theme as well. I shouldn't have known that. Was it good? Incredible. Such a good film. Incredible. It's not a genuine news. It's really good. It hasn't done as well as it should. It's a genuinely very good and very nice movie.

38:16Bambino Becky:It might pick up, hit the algorithm. Yeah. But after listening to this... Well, Shawshank Redemption, that flopped at the box office. Yeah, completely. And Dirty Dancing as well. Van Gogh didn't sell anything when he was alive. No. Maybe Hoppers will do well when Disney dies. Just one. Yeah. He only sold one painting while he was alive. Surely he had a few mates. Clearly no one liked him. He's cutting his own ear off. That's a John Cairn show, I should just say. Right, number two. All right, number two. Okay, I've got this one. What animal represents 2026 in the Chinese calendar? I have no idea.

38:48I've got it. Let's go, let's go. It suddenly got interesting.

38:52Bambino Becky:What's all that about, all that? Animals, calendars. What is all that about? Star signs. It's kind of old school, you know. Is it? Do you believe in it? No, it's a complete nonsense. What's your star sign? No, I'm not into all that. I promise. No. I'm a pissy. Pissy. What? I don't know. He's a pissy Pissy. Not again I'm a cancer Yeah you are To this podcast Yeah bloody hell I don't tell people Because it doesn't matter And you shouldn't give people Personal information On the internet Everyone's always asking me On my birthday So my mates made up A fake one Oh yeah And ITV tweeted out The first year I was on the chase That it was my birthday No way So that's become verified in AI Whenever they search it It's going to verify Is your real birthday Not public knowledge anywhere No Of course it isn't It's today We tell everyone everything On this podcast Give them your mother's maiden name in your bank account details as well.

39:44Bambino Becky:Yeah, I've said one last way to name on him before. Well, don't you want the little balloons when you go on your Twitter page? Does anyone go on Twitter anymore? Well, you get the little balloons come up. Yeah, no, don't do that anymore. Real people will say happy birthday to him. Yeah, people who actually know will say happy birthday. Yeah. It's not in September, which is what my mates made up for me. Oh, well, we've got a one in 11 chance of guessing it now. Yeah, well done. November. That's a month, yeah. Anyway, so what are we thinking? If I got that right, I look like it. Okay, you can wait because you know it.

40:13So guys, what did we say? Look how much I'm hiding. I don't know. For the question.

40:16Bambino Becky:Oh, no, no. I don't know if I see you. No, he's saying Becky knows it. I think I know it. Go on. I've said horse. Horse. Rat. Oh, horse it is. Do you know how I know? I saw an ad yesterday. I saw an ad yesterday for some new Nike shoes that are out and it says year of the horse. So I was like, Nike have just given me the answer. This was like Slumdog Millionaire. Because it was the year of the snake, wasn't it? You shed your skin and then you go into a horse, you run away from all things that weren't meant for you. And you eat grass. And eat grass and manure. What are you talking about? I don't know, I saw a TikTok on it.

40:48Yeah, I just wanted to do a bit of a moment there. And kids, just so you know, just because it's on TikTok doesn't mean it's real. Unless it's on Bamina Becker. Number three, come on, let's focus. Which singer, born in London in 1999, won four Brit Awards this year, including Best Artist, Album and Song of the Year? Who won all the Brits this year, basically? singer. With the muffins in the freezer. Is that a clue? It is. Absolutely not. It's a childish comment. It does feel like school, doesn't it? You're the one who gets kicked out. Oh, this is why I wasn't a teacher. I would have been out straight away.

41:28Yeah. You definitely had your desk in the corridor. I did, yeah. There were 31 children in my primary school class. Guess who sat on their own? This guy.

41:37Bambino Becky:Was that a choice? I was sat with you. No. Oh God, yeah. Right, I have gone for, because I think I know it, is it Olivia Dean? It is Olivia Dean. I forgot her name, so I wrote Ray. No, Ray did it the year before. Yeah. Yeah, that's what I thought you asked. Get with the time, Stevie. Great surname. That's my surname. You guys are just sharing getting them wrong. This is great. I thought you were going to go shit. I thought you guys were just shit. I thought you were just shit. Okay, question number four. I'm having the best time. Made by National Geographic and Disney, which Oscar winning actor starred in the 2026 documentary series Pole to Pole Wow Pole to Pole as in North to South Pole So we've got Irish and Welsh for you and it's a crossover Pole to Pole So it's a nature documentary and there's an actor in it National Geographic and Disney Oscar winning actor is the person who's on the front cover of it Oh, not a clue Alright, I'll go for I'll go for It's not Michael Palin because he's about like 500.

42:40Yeah. Right. Who did the newest? Oh, I don't know this one.

42:44Bambino Becky:I've had a stab in the dark, yeah? I've had a stanker. Yeah. Who are we going for? I've said DiCaprio because he does environmental stuff, doesn't he? It's not DiCaprio. I put Tom Hanks because he did cast away. No, afraid not. Morgan Freeman? No, not Morgan Freeman. She's too old as well. It's Will Smith. Oh. Not heard that at all. Silly Will. On Disney bus. Wow. There you go. It's not an animation is it? No it's real He did like the full thing Did the whole polar exploring and stuff Wow We need to get him on to talk about it I'd probably just ask him about the slap I'm sure he's not tired of talking about that at all That was such a good clip of him coming in here Okay number five Who has been announced as the new judge for Bake Off this year Replacing Prue Leith Great question Don't know it I don't think I've got a Yeah, she, well, she did last series and now she's done.

43:40Bambino Becky:I imagine someone quite old. Could it be like someone like Lempit Opic? It's got to be another chef-like person, hasn't it? What's that? This is very much guessable, by the way. Really? Yeah. Guessable? Simon and Garfunkel. Ah. Ah. Ah. If I don't know the name, can I just describe? We'll go for a vague description and see if it's close enough. Right. By the way, if you ever come to one of my quizzes, as vague descriptions are not enough. We want names. What's wrong with you? Right, like, old lady who bakes. Lady, baker, man, chef. Ladies, please. It's not going to be him from MasterChef, is it?

44:20Oh, God, don't bring him up. He's struggling, Greg. He's not struggling that much. Apparently, he just sold his very expensive London house. Did he? Well, maybe he is struggling. That's why he sold his very expensive London house. Come on now. I've written nothing. I was going to write down, what's her name from Norwich? Let's be having you. Delia Smith. Delia Smith is my answer. Let's be having you. Okay, who have we got? I've got Alison Hammond. No, she's presenting. She's not Georgia. Oh, good. She's already on it. I put the sexy chef woman

44:51Bambino Becky:who says Mike Crowave. That is correct. It is Nigella. Is that one of the point for that? Yeah, we said it. Come on, who else says Mike Crowave? You're a cow. I should have known that for the Olivia Dean one when I couldn't remember her name. Oh, that's quality. That's quality. Alison's been on it already. She'd joined last year or the year before. That was a complete guess, by the way. Was it? Yeah, it was guessing. Yeah. All right. It's a guess book. We're going to switch to something slightly more serious. In February, Hannah Spencer was elected as a new MP following a by-election in Gordon and Denton.

45:22Which party does she represent? What was her name, sorry? Hannah Spencer. Oh, that's a story. And she's new MP for Gordon and Denton. Which party does she represent? Is Gordon and Dent in a place, is it? Yeah, I hope so. Well, it's a constituency party. Party.

45:38Bambino Becky:She's just taken it. Really recently, yeah. Like in March or April. So is every question on this quiz 2026? This is all 2026. No, in this round. Oh, okay. Every round's different. I'm going to go, yeah. Fuming. Right, I've gone four. Conservatives. Nope. Plaid Cymru. What? Plaid Cymru. Plaid Cymru. In Gordon and Denton. Good luck, it's in England. No. I've said green. Green is correct. Come on. Clyde Cumbery. I just assumed it was going to be reform or green. Yeah, because they're the two that have been in the news a lot, didn't they? Restore now as well. Restore? There's too many of them now.

46:20Bambino Becky:Okay, I'm not going to say that. I keep saying to myself, you're not meant to be getting political. Too many of them is what the Restore voters say. Yeah. As an immigrant, I'm sure they're lovely people. He's shaking. All right, question number seven. Which actor, action hero and former judge of the American Dodgeball Association of America passed away aged 86 in March this year? Oh, crumbs. So actor, action hero and judge for the American Dodgeball Association of America died aged 86. Oh, bloody hell. You can get this back. I can, I can. I can see the picture with the date. It's a dodgeball bit.

47:04It's that... God! No, hang on, hang on, hang on. No, it's not. Vince Vaughn. It's not. Have you not seen dodgeball? No, it's got a great name.

47:14Bambino Becky:Benz. And it's like... No, don't tell. Can you give me two seconds? Right, one, two. Should have asked for more. You would have got it. Double it and pass it on. Come on. Oh, no, I'm not. It's on the tip of my tongue. You pass? Yeah, fine. Okay, who was it? Chuck Norris. Yes, that's what I was going to say. Promise it was. Bugger. You should have just described him like I did. Chuck E. Cheese. Yeah, why didn't you just describe him? Jack got the point for that. I would know how. All right, we were talking about it a few minutes ago. What was the name and number of the NASA mission that flew four astronauts around the moon?

47:50I literally have no idea. Boeing. Boeing. Boeing 5221. Name a number.

47:57Bambino Becky:Fee, I'm so sorry. I'm disappointed. I'm so fucking sorry. We're all disappointed. We never mentioned the name though, did we? I specifically and very on purpose did not mention the name. I was going to say, God, I'm not that ignorant. Because I knew it was in this quiz. Wow. I'm so sorry, Fee, I ain't got it. Because you can tell us how many numbers are in it. I think I know the number. Really? No. The name. No. Can I be very honest with you? Yeah. And this is going to be ridiculous. I've not seen anything about this moon stuff and I'm chronically online. We just had the whole conversation. What did you think was happening?

48:29I was just thinking about the moon.

48:30Bambino Becky:It's everywhere. I've not seen it once. It's all over TikTok. It's because I've been moving. What, moving how? Yeah. It prevented you now about the moon? I've not been on my phone as much, I guess, but I've not seen anything about it, so I can't even pass it a guess. Look, when we did a quiz with this and he was setting the questions, he was asking about memes and stuff. He might as well have been talking about the moon as far as I was concerned. No, I was interested in the moon, but I'm going to go home and research it. Right. Right, what have we got? I wrote Centurion 6-7 No Oh I wrote Sore in 6-7 I went AstraZeneca 11 Oh god no That's a sponsor It's Artemis 2 Oh I have good of it You fucking idiot You know what Originally I thought That this was going to be Like horrific for you But it's brilliant Thank you Alright we'll move quickly on Wait what did you think It would be bad for me Alright Irish actress Jessie Buckley Won Best Actress Award At this year's Oscars For her role in what movie based on a Maggie O 'Farrell book?

49:28Jesus. Do we know anything about anything? Don't worry about it. You're actually doing okay. The best pitch for a quiz is that most people get about half or slightly more than half of them. Yes. If you're getting them all right, it's too easy. If you're getting them all wrong, it's too hard. So you're all online for that. Okay. If you're a proper quizzer, you'll want to get like 90%. But like if you're getting 60 % for a pub quiz, that's all right. 60%. Are you free Thursday? Got a pub quiz.

49:53Bambino Becky:We asked him, we want to rope him in for a half. We were going to do it, but I'd have to go on disguise. Yeah, we are still going to do that. We're still going to do that. In Norwich, yeah, absolutely. Oh, you have, that's a video, isn't it? Should we actually get that done this year? Yeah, yeah, it'd be so good. Okay, cool, cool. Would you actually take the winnings or would it be like, oh, it's me? Are you guys going to have Annie Hooper getting this? Oh, sorry. I just wrote Sinners. Because that did well, didn't it? No, not Sinners. No. It is Hamnet. Oh, God, a good one. And it's a brilliant book as well, I have to say.

50:23Dumb question.

50:24Bambino Becky:You know what I'm going to say. In that Hamlet. No, it's named after Shakespeare's son, who was called Hamnet. Was Hamlet the dad? No, Hamlet is the name of the character. Hamlet Shakespeare. So there's someone in it called, don't worry. He kind of named it after his son, but changed one of the letters. Yeah, like what Will Smith has done with Willows. Yeah. You know how he just said, it's named after Shakespeare's son, Hamnet, and then you went, was Hamlet the dad? Oh yeah, I didn't know Shakespeare. No, no, see, that's actually, potentially a double-laired question because in Hamlet the play, Hamlet's dad is also called Hamlet.

50:59Bambino Becky:Yeah. Confused. And I'm a shit. He's not in it very much. He's a ghost promoter. Okay, we'll go for the opposite end of culture. In what capital city will Eurovision be this year? It's the fifth largest city in the EU and it's on the River Danube. So who won Eurovision last year, basically? You went there and you don't know who won? Who won? Oh, God. Now, what's their capital city? Who won? It was the opera singer. He was on a boat. Don't give us too much. Oh, sorry. That wasn't a lot, to be honest. As far as the country's concerned, that was a pretty good pointless clue. Because, oh God, yeah, it was.

51:35Bambino Becky:So it's a fifth largest city in Europe. In the EU. In the EU. EU. And it's on the river Danube. So it's in that part of Europe. You're going to have to give me a sec. You can't just say that part. I don't know where Danube is. Eastern Europe. Central and East. Central and Eastern Europe. Okay. There's five capital cities on the Danube. It's one of them. Right. Oh my God. I've had a stab in the dark. I'm nowhere near. They take me to these places. You think I... But you were actually there. Yeah. And you don't remember who won? No. No, it's really bad, isn't it? I need to get checked. That's not ideal.

52:08I need to get checked. I need to go to the vets tonight. Right, hang on. That's for animals, silly. What? Humans are animals. We have established this. Don't be silly with it. I went to Lisbeth and Dara. Yeah. Is that right? No. Did you want the... Eastern Europe, not Western Europe. Did you want the... Capital city. City, Berlin. No. Berlin's on the spree. Who is... Sweden? No, that's Stockholm. It's also not in Eastern Europe. It's in Northern Europe. It's Vienna. Austria won it last year.

52:39Bambino Becky:Oh, good night, Vienna. This means nothing to me. Was that the tune? Oh, Vienna. What, is that what they sang? Absolutely not. That's an 80 song. Absolutely not. Poor first round then. God, I think... I got four out of ten. I got four out of ten. I got... Two out of ten. So four for two. Classic football formation. There we go. Why did you not have two? Oh, you're keeping score. Okay. Oh, you guys are keeping score yourselves. That makes my life a lot easier. Right. No. So, seeing as we had a football formation, the next round... Who's that? I'm really sorry about this, by the way. No, it's football.

53:10It's a sports and games round. I love sports and games. But the best thing about this is it's nearest the ball. These are impossible to know the exact answer. Yes. But whoever gets closest wins the points. I love this game. Right, this is my favourite, favourite stat of the last 20 years. It's a football question. It's how many Manchester United players have scored more goals at Old Trafford than Mo Salah has in the 2020s? So this decade, how many Man United players have scored more goals at Old Trafford than the Liverpool player Mo Salah? 2020. Since 2020, so the last six years.

53:46Bambino Becky:And is that Salah's overall goals for Liverpool or goals at Old Trafford? Oh, I see what you're saying. In the ground. Yeah, right. So he has scored X amount of goals against Man United when Man United were at home and only a certain number of Man United players have actually scored that many goals in Old Trafford in the same time. Wow. He's good. So you have to say how many is it? Okay. Me when I'm at the all-inclusive, Mo Salah. Mo Salah. So you're going for an all-inclusive and just get to Salah. Yeah, if you're going for an all-inclusive if you're not going for more cake, there's something deeply wrong.

54:17It's the pizza, the pizza hut one. Oh. You know, the salad bar. Shut up, Becky. No, no, don't. I went to an all-inclusive wedding in Barbados and I went to put on my like, you know, long trousers to go back to Ireland. Couldn't close the button. I was only there a week. You'd shrunk in the wash. Yeah. Mojitos and cake every meal. Love it. Okay. Is it a shock? Okay, hang on. What are you going for, Becky? Give us a number. Eight. He's going for eight I've said three I've said three Becky wins Seven Do you really think Only three Man United players Have outscored Mo Salah? I think it's remarkable That it's as low as seven But yeah Well I was going to say seven But I factored in The other man You factored in Mo Salah This is one that I am expecting You two guys Especially to just know Okay How many 180s Did Luke Littler score At the 2026 World Darts Championship?

55:13Hey, we love the darts. So how many? He won the whatever it's called. Yeah, the Ballon darts. Ballon darts. Ballon darts. The worst named trophy ever. Sounds like, you know, the Ballon d 'Art. The art. The art. Right. Are you counting? So the first game, he got six. Could you say the question one more time? Yeah. How many 180s did Luke Littler score at the World Darts Championship?

55:46Bambino Becky:I've probably overshot this massively. Becky, we're going to let you start on every single one of these. Thank you. 15. Same age as Luke Liffler. I've just said what a treble 20 is and said 60. I went for 63. Oh, Jack takes the points. 73. Why did I put 15? Why did you laugh when I said 60 as well? I went half. Really? Wait, how many games are in? Seven, I think. I think he plays seven to win it. I think it's seven. Is it? Seven or eight. So he's done crazy. He's done nine per game. Yeah, that's what I try to average at in a game. Which is absolutely bananas. So he's done more than that. He's done like, he's done 10 or a bit, a 10 and a bit per game.

56:28Yeah, it's insane. And getting something like five or six is really good. Yeah, do you know what it is? Because in the darts, I normally have a few shandies that... Who doesn't? I'm the only one drinking this. When 180 happens, it seems such like a big thing. I imagine you're not counting. No, you're not counting. You're not going, okay, that's one for little. It's like a 180. You don't see every one of his games. So the key thing is, you don't do a shot per 180 because you'd be dead. You'd die.

56:53Bambino Becky:You'd be dead. Have your lip of steel. Here's an absolutely impossible one. So this is going to be a shot in the dark. In the all-time medals table, how many medals of all the different kinds has the USA won at both Winter and Summer Olympics? Of all time? All time. So the USA are top. Yeah. In the combined top. How many medals? gold, silver and bronze. Throw a number. Okay. This is genuinely meant to be impossible. So it's just, who's the cleverest guess? I don't even know how many medals are available at the Olympics. Lots. Lots. And they've been doing it for like 100 years. So, well, more than 100 years.

57:25130 years.

57:26Bambino Becky:130 years. Twice a year. 260. Twice a year. Good work. Yeah, every two years. Oh yeah. Half that. 130. Got it. I've worked it out. Imagine you get it on the nose. I think if you get this one on the nose, there's a bonus point in it. Yeah, as a witch, you've got to be burned at the stake. Right. Becky, what do we do? 6 ,213. 6 ,213. 2 ,733. I said 3 ,952. Jack is closest. 3 ,128. I'm not a million miles away. No, that was a decent guess. I was a million miles away, Jack. Yeah, you were. 6 ,000. 6 ,000. All right. Now, this fact will change slightly by the time this airs, I imagine. But at the time of recording, there have been 24 women's Six Nations tournaments.

58:21Women. How many have England won of the 24?

58:27That's rugby, isn't it? Yeah. Paddle. The women's tournament. I couldn't tell you, I know nothing about rugby. By any metric, England should dominate rugby. Because in terms of registered players, there's more registered players in England than any other country by quite a distance. It's really weird that you don't actually.

58:48Bambino Becky:How many Six Nations are there? How many of these have there been? There's been 24. 24. 24 women's ones. I'm going to change at the last minute here. Yeah. Last minute ditch. So how many have England won? Okay. All right, Becky, how'd you do? I'm saying 10. 10? That's what I originally put. No way. I changed it to eight. I put eight and changed it to six. Oh my God. Becky gets the points. Let's have it. 17. Wow. 17. The England women are where the England men should be in terms of wins. They utterly dominate the sixth name. Wow. When you started to say they dominate, I was thinking, okay, it's high.

59:22And then you went, it's weird that they don't. So I was like, okay, it's low. England's men I mean It's bizarre It's genuinely bizarre Because you've got Such like proper Professional set up Everything Ireland should not be That good at rugby Because actually It's like the third Most popular sport Why are they then

59:36Bambino Becky:Is it just a weird It's a weird thing Of how they're coached How the teams are set up There just seems to be And we've got a bit Of a golden generation Thing going for a while Oh wow But yeah We seem to be very efficient Fair enough Alright Fair enough Go on the girls In metres How Don't say things Like imagine that just clipped out on its own. Go on the girls. Go on the girls. Flower power. Okay, in metres, how long is the university boat race? I used to row. Did you? Yeah. Do you know how long the race is? Meters. Do you know what university is? Whoa. You just said girl power. God forbid. I have no clue.

1:00:16Bambino Becky:You'll be surprised to hear. Hang on, so... So how long is the boat race? Cambridge won it this year, didn't they, against Oxford? Cambridge won the mains, Oxford won the mains. Right, can I work this out now? Well, that's the plan, isn't it? How long does it take? Do you know how fast a rowing boat goes? Because if you don't, that question is overly irrelevant. But I know speed equals distance divided by time. Yes, but you don't. With one of those, I can estimate the other. That's mathematically incorrect. You need two of them. Okay. Right, what have you got, Becky? Can you go first, please? Yeah, I've gone.

1:00:53Bambino Becky:I've probably gone way too low. I've gone 2 ,500. That is way too low. Oh, I just assumed it was a mile. So I went 1 ,600 metres. No. I put 10 ,000. Weirdly, that's the closest. 6 ,800. She used to row those. What's that in K? 6.8. That's the great thing about the metric system. You just move the decimal. Am I not closer now? So I wonder. Hold on, are you? Thank God. Hold on, you might be. Hold on, what's 2 ,000? So you're 4 ,300 off. No, she's 3 ,200 off. Fair play to you. I don't like this round. I've not got one yet in this round. Well, you just need to answer better then. I've not got one yet in this round.

1:01:29Just think more. Okay. On this one, I'm going to think more. In the English Grand National, how many fences are jumped twice? Oh, wow. At the time of recording, this was only a few days ago. I don't know. Any of them would jump twice. I thought they just did a track. Some of them are jumped once and then the rest are jumped twice.

1:01:47Bambino Becky:I think the first ones are jumped once. And then they do a loop. So it's not a circle. It's like a figure six. So how many tracks on the day? How many of the fences are jumped twice? Didn't you go work at the horse racing? Yeah. Yeah, you should know this then, shouldn't you? Yeah, but I can't work out the question. You should know this. You know when you went to Eurovision and you remembered who won? You went to the Grand Nationals. They've got to stop giving a free bar at these days. It's all blurry. Wait, hang on. So they have a certain number of jumps. How many times they jump over it? Twice.

1:02:21Some of the fences are jumped more than once. They're jumped twice. So how many of them are jumped twice? You pick a number. I'm so stupid. It's like people are speaking Swahili to me. This is like the opening to like the circle of life kind of thing. How many have jumped twice? So if they jump over them twice, that's one?

1:02:41Bambino Becky:Yeah. Yeah. So how many of them does that have? Thank you. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. Put a number down on your sheet using your pen. I'm mansplaining yeah you are mansplaining I'm explaining mental what have you gone for Becky? four six eight Jack gets the points 14 14? I don't know how many they jumped in total I thought 14 were doing the max they do 30 how long was the race? it's like four miles 13 minutes it's really long fuck it hell it takes ages that's a lot of effort it's not 13 minutes this is not Stevie's greatest round No No Hold on Maybe you can get this one Maybe you can get this Womp womp What was the official attendance At the first Wembley FA Cup final A.K.A.

1:03:27The White Horse final So what was the official It's not what actually happened Because Attendances weren't great But They weren't Not because they weren't great They weren't Very closely monitored A lot of people cheated And jumped fences and stuff But the official attendance At the first Wembley FA Cup final Was it in Wembley Wembley Stadium Yeah The official attendance I thought maybe it was a new thing

1:03:50Bambino Becky:The Wembley final Oh my god Sometimes The Whitehorse final Okay What are you saying? 90 ,000 Okay I've gone 100 ,000 I said 78 ,000 Jack gets the point It's 126 ,047 Can we even fit that in there? I thought there wasn't enough seats for that There wasn't There were a lot of people standing I knew it was probably way more than that in reality Because people lifted kids over the turnstiles Yeah Cheap as no I'm going to go for a hat trick at the end here on this round. Oh yeah, that's what you want. I like this round. Okay. In women's 1500 metre freestyle swimming, how many of the all time top 25 times does American swimmer Katie Ledecky hold?

1:04:32So if you write down the people who have the fastest 25 times, how many of those are Katie Ledecky's record? So 25, how? Out of 25, the top 25 times, how many? and you've just not named a person who's only like 25. It is more than zero. She's not a swimmer.

1:04:51Bambino Becky:She never got a certificate of swimming. She's shit. Okay. Bronze certificate only. Okay. I've got a number. But we're guessing this one, aren't we? Yes, you are. Oh, I've gone. Yeah. Go on, eight for eight. Oh, I've assumed she's incredible. I've said 19. I've said 25. Jack, it's the point. it's 24 oh my god she is probably the most remarkable sports person who's in the world like she is so utterly dominant if you look at the other people in races she's like she's finished and having a nap on the line really she's miles ahead of them yeah well we had this i do another podcast called double tops darts podcast yeah and we had phil taylor on the end of the day and i said to him that i think out of any sport the gulf between the best ever and the second best ever is him because there's no one he's won 16 world championships yeah no one the the next most is probably three i think so but she might top what i've just said oh absolutely and if you look at tiger woods at his prime he was miles ahead of everyone else but i have a slight problem with your thing is that that isn't a sport it's a game right it's not it's not athletic if you if you can be a middle-aged overweight man and be world champion it's not a sport that is true It is true, I'm not going to argue with you It's a brilliant game and it's a game of great skill but I can't say it's a sport They're not athletes, they're great lads but they're not athletes Just to prove that point I interviewed Luke Littler once and he had a break so he could eat a Domino's pizza

1:06:26Bambino Becky:Yeah, training regime The hat trick's not coming in so I'm going for the brace What do they call it, the working man's javelin Thank you Working man's javelin, that's great Okay, speaking of golf, how many golf majors did Jack Nicklaus win? Oh, oh. So he holds the record, the all-time record. How many majors did he win? Oh, I know one thing about him. Yeah. I'll say once we get the answer. That's all I know about him. He's got nine tools. I was talking about him the other day, weirdly. Oh, Jack Nick. So he holds the record for the most majors in the men's game. But how many did he win? Major. Rory went back to back Yeah absolutely You were buzzing?

1:07:10Yeah I'm not massively into golf but you know there's about five things that Ireland are really good at in sport and that's one of them so you know it's great Is that their top? You said rugby Well no we've got our own secret sports that only we play which we're brilliant at hurling and Gaelic football but we're really good at boxing as well Oh Gaelic football Yeah We have a very disproportionate level of wins of boxing medals in the Olympics Katie Taylor Katie Taylor probably the best sort of Irish athlete of all time wow

1:07:40Bambino Becky:what Katie Taylor yeah well she's one of the main reasons why women's boxing is in the Olympics yeah they kind of like she really pushed for her and she like she absolutely annihilated everybody she's phenomenal staunch yeah what a legend so anyway how do we think Jack Nicklaus did I've said 10 I've said 13 oh I think it's way more 24 it's 18 so by one Becky gets the phone wow come on Jack Nicklaus is there's only four people who have ever won it back to back now that McElroy's done it and Nicklaus was one of them that's the only reason I was looking into it because when I saw McElroy was getting that I was wondering how many other people Tiger Woods, Nicklaus him and then some other some guy really far back have you seen the question on who wants to be a millionaire that came out recently that's a malfunction that said I think it's Rafael Nadal don't quote me on this has never won Wimbledon back to back no of course he hasn't because he was a clay specialist I think he only won a did he win Wimbledon twice was it?

1:08:37He was good in France He won the French Open like nearly every year because that surface was his surface he wasn't particularly good on grass Didn't they do that like special match where Federer and Nadal played against each other Federer was on grass and Nadal was on clay so they had a half and half

1:08:52Bambino Becky:court Who won that? I can't remember It was like everyone was saying It was just an exhibition game they were just having a laugh Yeah because they did that recently with Nick Karius where he played the world number one women and that caused a lot of controversy, I think. Yeah, battle of sexes. Well, there's certain sort of biological things that mean, like if you're six foot tall with a massive wingspan, that's like inherently going to give you an advantage at tennis. You know, that's a big advantage because you're physically bigger. Yeah. And, you know, there's nothing, there's no amount of training or anything.

1:09:25But if any sort of average man thinks he's better at men's tennis than, you know, the Williams sisters wear at women's tennis, then they're absolutely losing their mind.

1:09:32Bambino Becky:this is why it's fucking stupid they've stopped trans people from playing in men's game at darts it's fucking ridiculous wow but just let everybody play it's only like again it is a game there's no physical advantage yeah it's mental that's mental yeah anyway before we go too deep into that rabbit hole the nearest one tenth of a second how long is the fastest ever Formula One pit stop what so it's less than a set No, no, to the nearest one tenth. So something point something. So we don't want to just give seconds. So we need something point something. Because otherwise everyone would just say, yeah, second, a minute or something.

1:10:19The nearest tenth of a second. Yeah. You know what, I just counted that as you've done it. So thank you. You've given me my answer.

1:10:31Okay, what have you said?

1:10:32Bambino Becky:It's very quick. It is so quick. I don't really know how to write that in. How to write? Just move your head. Just write a number with a dot and then another number. Number, dot, number. Come on. I don't know how to write that. Enter her. It's good that you're not on it. Fine, whatever. You go first and then I'll sort of... No, you haven't written anything. You say it first. Two. You're going 2.0. I don't know how to write to this. Okay, she's going 2.0. I've got a number thing. I've got a number problem. I've said 3.3. I said 2.2. Becky, it's the point. 1.8. Fuck's sake. 1.8 seconds. How are we losing to this?

1:11:07I don't know how to write. And then she's like, ah, two. Even a stop clock is right twice a day. So what are they doing in that pit stop? They're changing the wheels. They're changing the wheels. They've got four people in the side. 1.8 seconds.

1:11:18Bambino Becky:1.8 seconds. That's mad. They're screwing them in and that. Yeah, they've got the in, out, gone. See, that to me is more exciting than the racing. Yeah. Oh, nothing happens in Formula One. No. I cannot understand. I don't get it. I just don't get it as a concept. But those lads who are changing the tyres are heroes. Yeah, that's impressive. Because if I change the tyre on the side of the road, I could be 20 minutes. Yeah, yeah. And that's only one. I just have to wait for however long the AAs take. I can't even change a tyre. God, that's a long pitched up for you, Jack. I had to change a tyre on the side of a motorway.

1:11:50It was scary. I think that you shouldn't be able to get your driver's licence without changing a tyre.

1:11:55Bambino Becky:Yeah, I agree. I'll be fucked though. Well, at least they brought it in now, but when I did my test, you didn't have to do parallel parking because I parallel park like an absolute idiot. Yeah, I do. I smash my car. I have no, I just, I have no spatial awareness whatsoever. No, I don't. None at all. I'm the exact same. I go and I'm like that far out. I redo the opposite of the stereotype. I get my wife to do it and she's like, she just doesn't even try. She just goes, literally the same thing. We are so similar, both really smart and bad at parking. And beautiful, don't forget. I think I let these No I let these two split that round Has actually destroyed that round So it's 5-3-2 right?

1:12:31What do you know about sports? No they both got 5 in that round Did you knock at any? I got 0 Yeah I got 5 Why not there?

1:12:39Stevie Reeve

1:12:39Bambino Becky:I'm here to disappoint I'm on 9 out of 20 What are you on? I'm on 5-6-7 8 6-7 That's it isn't it? 7 You got 2 in the first I'm on 4 still How many more questions? Oh that's 2 rounds We have 3 more to go Oh wow, okay. Still in it, still in it. Are you going to miss your train? Yeah. Would you mind if I quickly go and have a wee? Yeah, go. Thank you. He's playing his score on three. By the way, just for viewers, I did ask how many rounds of 10 questions you want and we did agree on five. No, no, no, no. I'm more than happy to be here. I just don't want to keep you behind your train. Right, round three.

1:13:15Let's roll on. This is called not the obvious answer. So the answers may not be the one that you're thinking of, or it might be a bit weird. This might actually work for me. I love that. 1:14:59Bambino Becky:i'm so sick it's actually mental you're not supposed to know it though yeah i know but like I can't think I can't look I feel like I'm on the chase you'd be out you'd be caught if I'd be listening to this now back at home I'd be going Becky no you're doing alright you're beating that fucking oh yeah look you think about this wrong she is brilliant at like random guesses the head to head multiple choice smash it she'd sail home oh yeah right I've applied all you need to do is get someone who's able to answer the quick fire questions for you and you'll get back head start good on pushbacks job done thank you you're gonna make it it might be by accident this girl's gonna be okay what are we thinking here come on Stevie I wrote 60s and then crossed it out and wrote 80s I wrote 60s and kept it there I wrote but you said what century didn't you no decade 2010s you're all wrong it is the 2020s Let it go?

1:16:04No. We don't talk about Bruno. Bagger. In Canto. We don't talk about Bruno. That was the first Disney UK number one.

1:16:12Bambino Becky:Was it? How mad is that? Because I thought I was being a bit kooky going, oh, look how recent the 2010s are. That's even more recent. They never, just for whatever reason, their singles never made it to number one in the UK. Not even Easter Girl. Yeah. No, it's not closest. This is, you have to be right. We've switched, we're off closest now. Come on. 21st century. All right. That's so wrong. 21st century. That's what we're in now, isn't it? Yeah. No, yes. Are we in the 22nd yet? No, that's not how it works. You don't skip every decade. It's every century. So we're in the 21st century. Okay. 21st century podcast.

1:16:45Okay. After Michael Jackson's thriller, what is the next best-selling album of all time? Of all time? And I'll give you a hint. It's a heavy rock album. Not a pop album like you might think. Do we have to know the name of the album or the band? Album. It's a little mix, isn't it? Heavy Rock Yes Okay Okay I've had a stab Now For viewers There are disputes About this A little bit But it's generally Accepted as being Because it's kind of Hard to track Exactly how many albums Heavy Rock

1:17:19Bambino Becky:Oh it's Heavy Rock I've fucked it then Mine's not Heavy Rock I don't know the names Of any of those I could name a few Heavy Rock bands You will know the band And you will probably I'll be very surprised If you don't know the album I'll know the band Oh you'd be surprised if we don't sorry just repeating what you said it's good how she sort of half finishes the thought finishes it in her head which for an audio medium is brilliant yeah it's amazing imagine being me no don't think about it for too long right God save you sir I wrote back in black it's correct it's actually ACDC's back in black fucking hell I did to be fair I wrote ACDC but that was after you said it and I didn't even know that was that Dark Side of the Moon is the obvious answer it's not the obvious answer I didn't even know that was the name of the album I just named a song and I was just hoping it was like see after your disastrous last round he's back I thought you were taking the piss question number three in which in which European country did the first airport duty free shop open in 1947 European country duty free as a shop in airports the very first one was in which country It opened in 1947 The first European I love duty free 1947 Shortly after the war Hmm Probably not helping you But Is duty free Actually decent?

1:18:44Bambino Becky:I think that's a scam Isn't it? It depends on what you're buying I think it used to be decent But now Whenever I've been in there I'll see something That looks good Look on Amazon Two quid cheap Yeah It depends on what you're buying Some things have quite a lot of duty on them So like alcohol Tobacco And things that are like Really heavily taxed You can get stuff that's cheaper Alright Yeah Okay But like if you're just talking about, you know, chocolate or something, the tax on it isn't that high, so it's not going to make that much of a difference. And they've got a captive audience, so. I'd put Spain.

1:19:11Bambino Becky:That's bad. I'd put Sweden. I'd put Paris, but France. No, it is Ireland. Oh, Irish French. It was Shannon Airport for the Americans. Oh, wow. Yeah. Fair enough. Okay, now the next one, I want to warn you, it's not the obvious answer. Okay, so have that in mind. What US state is closest to Africa? It's not the one you think it is. It's not the obvious answer. So what US state is closest to Africa? I don't know what the obvious one's supposed to be. I'll be honest. Well, picture a map of the world and go, which bit of America looks closest to Africa? It's not that one. Right. We went to Africa.

1:19:55Yeah, we did.

1:19:56Bambino Becky:Tunisia. Nice. That's weird, isn't it? We've been in Africa together. Africa trip Africa with a cat Other people go like you know we went to a cocktail bar and there was cockroaches in our hotel There was Following you know Billy Big Balls I'm going to be on the bullet train tomorrow Okay so what part of America What state of America the USA is closest to Africa Okay I'm just trying to picture America I put this in mostly because it's such an amazing fact rather than the fact that you'd actually get it Okay Okay if it's amazing. I imagine it's got to be down down there, innit? Alright, what are we thinking?

1:20:37California. No, wrong side. Wrong side of the country. No way! You went too deep. I said Hawaii. Hawaii is closer to the other side of the world. It is Maine. I don't even know where that is. It's north of New York. Wait at the top! Because it goes really far east. What do you mean? It's closest to Morocco. I really want to go to Maine. They do lobster rolls. They do. They do. You could fly there just for them. I just think it's a bit of a mad fact that that is. Because it stretches really far east. Some of the islands that are off the coast are actually closer to Morocco than Florida is to West Africa.

1:21:12Oh my God. Wait, so New York's there? And it goes like that? Yeah, it goes up and across. Because the earth is curved. It's not flat. We're irrelevant.

1:21:22Bambino Becky:Okay, I'm doing a stinker on this one. Yeah, well this one's tough. Doing a stinker. I'm doing a stinker. Who was the first person ever to play James Bond? And as a hint, he's more famous for another blockbuster role. Blockbuster role. I don't know if I've ever seen a James Bond film all the way through. So who was the first person to play James Bond? He was more famous for another blockbuster role. Blockbuster. Why are you saying blockbuster? I'm trying as hard as I can to point you towards the big hint in the question. I get what you're doing. But I don't know anyone from either film. Yeah, it's going to be well old.

1:22:03It is well old, yeah. Well old. I don't know what blockbuster bit means. It's... Big.

1:22:12Bambino Becky:It's someone who's in the film Ghostbusters. No. Blockbuster. Blockbuster. In fact, I'm going to go really out here and say blockbusters. So like, yeah. You're all too young. Yeah, we are too young. I don't know. Okay. Also, one of the Ghostbusters has never been James Bond. That was a DVD shop, wasn't it? Blockbusters. It was. That's what we know of Blockbusters. I can smell the carpet now, yeah. I went for Buster Merrifield. I see where you're going from, but no, way off. Daniel Craig, mate. No, way off. Or James Dean. No. Okay, have you ever heard of the quiz show Blockbusters? Yeah. Do you know the host?

1:22:54Who's that? Bob Holness was the first person to play James Bond. Bob Holness? On the radio. Really?

1:23:00Bambino Becky:Oh, it's a trick question. It is. It's not a trick question. That was a good hint if we had brain. Or if you're of a certain age. I'd say there's people in their 40s who spent their teenage years watching blockbusters going, of course it's Bob Holman. Oh, okay. Sorry, everyone. All right, here's a much more gettable one. What colour is the black box recorder on an aeroplane? It's not black. That's not the obvious answer. Black box recorder? Yes. So when a plane crashes and they go for the data recorder, what colour is the black box recorder? I just wrote the first thing that came to my head Excellent Legend I had a black box in my car Boy racer No The opposite of a boy racer They weren't legend I actually got a speeding ticket Whilst I had to black box in my car So Bad boy for the day I have a friend who failed his driving test twice For running orange lights Ah Yeah Patience is a virtue I failed my driving test seven times He didn't even have a comeback there He was so shocked Seven times Seven times and one was before I...

1:23:57Bambino Becky:You can't change a wheel. You have no business for him behind the wheel of a car. No, no, he passed in an automatic eventually. He doesn't have a... Nothing wrong with that. I used to hate them. I used to hate automatic cars but now they are just better. Yeah. It will all go automatic. I just like that I can if I need to. Why? Oh, that's part of Jack's car. Oh, nice. I gifted it to him for Secret Santa at some point. Oh my God, which part is that? That's the part of the side that came up. Yeah. Beautiful. Yeah. God. Nice reminder to that. You haven't had that car for so long and that panel's just still in the studio.

1:24:30So what colour is a black box recorder? I wrote red. Red. Yellow. Do you know what? I'm going to give you all a point. It's kind of orangey red. So orange, red, yellow. Go on, go. You can all have it. If you're gone with a burnt orange, amber. Oh, we'll take that. We'll take that. We'll take that. Would he have gone with the actual answer? Maybe. Oh. 27. Scary in this place. I've got to lose my mind. What is the national animal of Scotland? And as a hint, this is not a real animal. I know it. I already know it. Spagger, sorry. We've actually spoken about this on the podcast multiple times. It's not a real animal, but it is the national animal of Scotland.

1:25:03Scotland. That hint was too much. I shouldn't have said that. That's only because you knew it. I don't know. If you were drowning in this, you'd be like, oh. Scotland. Stop saying Scotland. I'm just taking myself there. She's doing like... I'm on Socky Hall Street in Glasgow. It's a great name for a street. Isn't it? Socky Hall. Socky Hall Street. It's like the main shop. Socky Hall Street. It's the main shopping street in Glasgow. Sucky Hole. Sucky Hole. Sucky Hole Street. I like that beer colour place we went to. That was good. Glasgow, that was fun.

1:25:34Bambino Becky:I'm thinking mermaid. I've not put mermaid. Are we done? No, we're just waiting for a break. Is it a hippo? No. It doesn't exist. Hippogriff. That's what you said. I said unicorn. Unicorn is correct. That's close, though. He's on a phone. It's on the Scotland crest as well. Unicorn, what did you put? Phoenix. We spoke about it on the podcast. All right. I can't remember. Okay. The first use of OMG to mean, oh my God, was in a message to which English prime minister? And this is not the obvious answer. It's from quite a long time ago. So the first use of OMG to mean, oh my God, was in a message to which English prime minister?

1:26:24And it's from a long time ago. A long time ago.

1:26:31Bambino Becky:I think we're all going to put the same. No, I forgot his name. We can go, if it's a specific enough description, we'll take it. I'm thinking of the obvious one, but I'm getting the director's name in my head instead of just keeping Alfred Hitchcock instead of thinking of the war main dude from the war. Why can I not get his name? Winston Churchill. That's all right. I've put that as well. Winston Churchill. I've put Margaret Thatcher. It is Winston Churchill. Wasn't it about... Oh, wow. It was in World War I, actually, when he was the first Lord of the Admiralty. It was a telegram about a bottle.

1:27:02Bambino Becky:OMG, Hitler's coming, sad face. Hitler was a corporal at that point. Oh, God. All right. Which famous English writer coined the term, what the Dickens? And the obvious answer is Dickens. It's not Dickens. So who was the English writer who first wrote down the term, what the Dickens? Well, it's got to be someone after Dickens. No. Dickens could just mean a what? It ain't got to be about Dickens, is it? What the Dickens? I think the author would have gone, that reminds me of Dickens. What the Dickens is that? Like, that's his style of thing. That's like Moby Dick, but it's not. Did he write Moby Dick?

1:27:36No, he did not. That's Herman Melville. He's American. I always just got Dick in the title. Do you know Moby is like a relative of Herman Melville? That's why he's called Moby. Who's Moby? Moby the DJ.

1:27:46Bambino Becky:Oh. You know. What's happening? Yeah, I know Moby. You know Moby, the DJ. The bald guy. He's like an ancestor of the guy who wrote Moby Dick. That's why his stage name is Moby. That's good. That's cool. That's good. Okay, yeah. Back to the days. So what English... English writer coined the term, or English writer coined the term, What the Dickens? Can I have two guesses? No, that's not how quizzes work. Is it a girl or a boy? A girl or a girl? Is that a woman? Writer is a non-gendered term. It is, isn't it? Specifically, I did that on the books. Oh, okay, maybe it is a woman then. or maybe it's not okay fair enough Becky what you going for Beatrix Potter Beatrix Potter no it's not Beatrix Potter I've said Tolkien Tolkien no not Tolkien I've gone for Ernest Hemingway American and not him it is when you're asked for an English writer you write down the words William Shakespeare Shakespeare I wrote S-H-A and crossed out I was like oh he's not a writer he's like a playwright It just used to mean, you know, like it was just a word for what the hell, basically.

1:28:51They had all sorts of weird things. I can't have done that. Was he before Dickens, Charles Dickens? A few hundred years, yeah. Wow. Wow. There you go. What the Dickens?

1:28:59Bambino Becky:The more we learn. Number 30, last round. Last one for this round. What animal are the Canary Islands named after? And it's not a bird. That's the obvious answer. We're from Norwich as well. We are the Canary. Yeah. So what are the Canary Islands named after? Sian Park. Sian Park. Cyan Park is sick. It's an animal. Have you ever been Cyan Park? I don't even know what that is. Water park in Tenerife. Biggest water park in Europe. Rated the best one in the world. Not your scene? Well, you know, I don't know how stuff... See the hat. Oh, you've got a Cyan Park hat. I don't know how stuff works with you, but I am a family man and I go on holidays for my kids.

1:29:34So it might well be my scene. I'm afraid of heights. That's my main problem. Oh, are you? Yeah. So like a lot of water parks, we have to go up like the little spiral staircases and stuff.

1:29:43Bambino Becky:Yeah. But you could still go to the moon. Yeah, I'm not afraid of flying. It's weird. But that's the biggest height you can have, isn't it? Yeah, no, it's weird. Wow, mad. I think I'm afraid of falling, whereas there's no real chance of you falling from an enclosed rocket. Okay, sorry, we've not actually written anything, so we were just going, is it dragon? Canary potatoes. No, he said animal. I know, I know, but I love them. Potatoes are famously not animals. Hippogriff. No, it's a real animal this time. Okay, yeah. I have no idea, so I've just had a complete stab, and I've gone seahorse. No, not a seahorse.

1:30:14Bambino Becky:I've said snake. Not a snake. Fish. No, not a fish. So if you look at the word, C-A-N. Can. And if you put an A-I-N-E after it. Canine. Dogs. Wow. Named after wild dogs that were on the island. Dog Island. There's cats there, isn't there? Don't say any dogs. Yeah, lots of cats there. Well, this was like, you know, several hundred years ago when the Spanish first sort of named it. That was a bit of a disaster of a round, but it was fun for me to watch you square. I'm glad that you... I thought I'd turn in that round. Oh, did you? Oh, well done. I'm alright. I got one. You got two. I got two, yeah.

1:30:47It's all evened up. Where are we at? I got a bit too cocky. I'm on 11. I'm eight out of ten. Overall, overall. Oh, eight out of 15, sorry. Six. Eight out of 30. 30 questions, mate. How many have you had in total so far?

1:31:01Bambino Becky:Eight out of 30. Eight out of 30, yeah. At first it was eight out of 10, then it was eight out of 15. We're matching, Stevie. I'm eight out of 32. I'm on 11. The last round I was getting rid of. Yeah. Completely. Okay, so I didn't know you were going to be here so otherwise this would be slightly different but this is called the Jack and Stevie round. Imagine she wins this. Oh yeah, it's not about you two. Oh, I love this. All answers are a Jack, Jackie, Stephen, Steve, Stevie or Stephanie. Oh my God. You are the best quiz writer in the world. That's so fun. Wow. Do you enjoy writing quizzes? I love writing quizzes.

1:31:33Bambino Becky:Oh, you're so cool. It's funny though because if Robbie was here, he'd be fuming. He would. Robbie. So in terms of famous people, it's either their real name or the stage name. But I only know you two. The answer will have Jack, Jackie, Steve, Stevie, Stephanie. One of those would be in the answer, right? So who wrote and performed the Oscar winning song Shallow from the 2018 movie A Star Is Born? Got it. I assume we don't have to say. I will accept either working name or real name. No way. Mad. Cool. Well, considering you guys have scored about a third of the questions, we're going to be a bit nicer.

1:32:12Okay, I assume you all smashed this. Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga, but her name's... Stephanie Germanotta. Stephanie Germanotta is exactly right. I wrote Stephanie. I didn't know her surname. Stephanie. All right. Can you just get a point for putting Stephanie? No, I wrote Lady Gaga. She seemed not a surname. And I also wrote Stephanie, but she wrote the full look. Yeah, she did not. Lady Gaga. Pet. Okay, question number two. Which actor, presenter and national treasure was the last recipient of Pipe Smoker of the Year Award in 2003. He was born in 1957 and played the master of Lake Town in the Hobbit movies.

1:32:46The master of Lake Town. So actor, presenter and national treasure, last recipient of Pipe Smoker of the Year in 2003. It's a man. He was born in 1957. He's a Jack or a Steve.

1:33:00Bambino Becky:Is he an English bloke? Yes, I will give you that. It's an English national treasure. Boo. Sorry. It's not Stephen Mulhan. Stephen tries. I think he's old. He's not that old. Stephen, I swear, if I, as soon as we're off air, I'll give him a slap. No, actually. No, actually I won't. Because he said he'd get me onto Celebrity Catchphrase. I haven't heard from him since. Oh, you'd be great on Catchphrase. Wow, we want him on air. Yeah. You'd be great on Catchphrase. Well, Jenny Ryan holds the record for the most amount of money won. Does she? Yeah, yeah, she smashed it. And all of the other chases have been on it except me.

1:33:33And I'm desperate to get on and try. I'll never do it. Jenny's a legend when it comes to that kind of stuff but I'd love to give it a go. That'd be so fun. So remember this has to be a Jack or a Steve of some kind. Cool.

1:33:47Bambino Becky:Okay. I don't know. I've gone for Jack Portier. Nope. I don't know who that is. I just said it. I don't even know who it is either. Stephen Fry. Stephen Fry is correct. Is it? I put Stephen Graham. Who is that? Stephen Graham is the Scouse actor from Adolescence. Not him then. And this is England. Stephen Graham. ham. And a thousand blows. Have you watched that? No. About the bare knuckle boxing thing in a... Might have to edit that out. It's tough being here. Take time out of my day. It was Stephen Fry. I had a weird memory in my head that he was in the Hobbit film. Yeah, he is. All right. Well done, Stevie.

1:34:24Really put it back. Okay, question number three. Which member of the England 1966 World Cup winning team was granted Irish citizenship in 1996?

1:34:36I can't hazard a guess.

1:34:40Bambino Becky:You'll catch race for the whole episode. Can you just, anytime there's a question asked, just cut that bit in. Please. Can we remix it into some sort of R &B track? I can't hazard a guess. I can't, I don't know. I, yeah. Don't I? Jack Frost? I just wrote Jack Charlton. That's what I put. That is correct. What? You manage Ireland. And he was basically a hero. Is he? Yeah. I live a stump bag now. I should know these things. Just instantly. Yeah, your flatmate has the greatest knowledge of football you'll ever see. Mental. Does she bore you with it? No, she just watches the telly and takes notes on every match.

1:35:17Bambino Becky:Does she really? Yeah, yeah. I thought she was lying. But she does do that. Yeah. This is a slightly long question just to give you some hints. So Kai Van Novak, who's best known for playing Nandor the Relentless in What We Do in the Shadows, created and starred as the title character in what comedy series from 2006 to 2008? In this comedy, Novak's character played a masked man who made prank calls to members of the public. Oh, I don't know. I know what that's called, but I don't know the man. We just need the name of the series. Oh, I don't want to brag. You're done there with that one. That's good.

1:35:51Bambino Becky:I don't want to brag, but I got it from the first two words. Oh, nice. That's a bit of you, that. You're a gamer. I absolutely love what we do in the shadows. it's one of my favourite ever programmes never seen it oh it's great is it the movie is brilliant I was going to say I've seen the movie I've not seen oh Matt Berry's in the series that's when they're doing like the shame thing around him isn't it yeah shame very good phone jacker phone jacker phone jacker very good shut up Becky how do you spell that by the way phone jacker called a PH PH yeah it's not a spelling test it's not a spelling test in the show it's built with an F yeah it's an F is it In the show, yeah.

1:36:29You've outdone yourself. You little nerd. Number five. Which British racing driver won the Formula One World Championship in 1971? Gah.

1:36:41Bambino Becky:Gah. We all talk about it. We all just said that none of us have a clue about racing. But I'm going to guess. This is a pop culture rather than a sports question. This is a very well-known name. Is it Jack or a Stephen? In 1971.

1:36:59Can you repeat the question one more time? Yeah. Which British racing driver won the Formula One World Championship in 1971? Thank you. Got it now, have you? Is that out? No.

1:37:18Bambino Becky:Becky, what are you going for? It's definitely a Jack. Jack Whitehall. No, I don't know who was him. I wrote Jack Schumacher. Actually, not far off. I'll put Jack Smith. Jackie Stewart. He had his own racing team, the Scottish guy. Jackie Stewart, that's a nice name. All right, this is a bit more than the lads at Ali. Anyway, Ronnie O'Sullivan and who else have won the most world snooker titles in the modern era with seven titles each? Snooker.

1:37:53I'm terrible with names. This isn't going to be a great round for you.

No, no, it's Stephen Snooker Stephen Snooker What do you put? I wrote Steve Beaton The dance player I don't know, mate I don't have the That's alright, don't worry What did you put? Which English actress and romance novelist is the 10th in the all time best selling authors list worldwide? She has sold over 400 million novels.

1:38:43Wow.

1:38:44Bambino Becky:It'll be it's got to be oh oh romance? Yeah. What's that? It's a bit of fun. No I'm kidding. I'm kidding. It's the bit before foreplay. And if you don't know what foreplay is, we'll talk afterwards. Not got that yet.

1:39:04After all those trips, I've got it. Oh, hey.

1:39:10It's like bromance, but with less, you know, slapping each other. Though that might be your thing, you never know.

1:39:17Can you write one more time? Yeah. Which English actress and romance novelist is the 10th best-selling author of all time? She has sold over 400 million novels. Do you think I'd know her? I'd be very surprised most women do. Women? Do you know her? No. I've written an author that is not a romance book. I'm in, I'm in, I'm in, I'm in. Oh, wait, she's in...

1:39:43Bambino Becky:Shit, you got it, Becky. I think I might, I don't know. Go on, where's the one? Stephanie Myers. No, she's not English. She's American. She wrote the Twilight books. I put Jacqueline Wilson. I put Jacqueline Wilson. Jacqueline Wilson writes children's books, you weirdos. She was the only author I knew. Jackie Collins. Oh, of course. My nan reads her. Yes, everybody's nan reads her. Jackie Collins. Stephanie Myers, I was happy with that as well. That started out as, Fifty Shades of Grey started out as fan fiction of Twilight. Oh, Twilight. And it morphed into Fifty Shades of Grey, yeah. All right.

1:40:21Question number eight. Which former footballer played 121 times for England, started her career at Sunderland before moving to Leeds Arsenal and ended her career in 2024 at Man City. Oh. The stuff that is. Stephanie or Jackie in this case. Well, you never know. Steve, no.

1:41:09Bambino Becky:and balls sounds like the cartoon character for a 30 mag yes stephanie balls uh put jackie top Bins? No, not Jackie Top Bins. Very good. That's much better for a comic, actually. Steph Houghton? Steph Houghton is correct. Oh, well done. Come on. You're good, you are. Come on. And then my footy. Alright. This one has two possible answers. So, taken from a 2025 movie, who holds the record for the shortest ever single to make the UK top 10 at just 34 seconds long? You can also give the title of the song, as both of them have either Steve or Jack in their name. Got it. Could you? So taken from a 2025 movie, who, which person holds the record for the shortest ever single to make the UK top 10?

1:42:01It was only 34 seconds long. You can also give the title of the song as both the song and the person who sings it have either Steve or Jack in their name. I've got it. Well, Dad, now of course you know this one, Stephen. So it's a band and there's two? No, it's a single person singer. and that person has either Jack or Stephen in their name and the song of the title, the title of the song has either Jack or Stephen in their name.

1:42:28Bambino Becky:Oh, does it? Yeah, so either one is fine as an answer. Does it? Yep. Okay, I don't know. Do you know? Yeah. Go on. Jack Black, Chicken Jockey. Jack Black is correct. I thought it was called Lava Chicken. Steve's Lava Chicken. Oh, Steve's Lava Chicken. And they've got Jack and Stephen there. That's what he said. So you still get the point, yeah? Yeah, he gets the point. Yeah, Jack Black. and speaking of NASA and such things his mother was a NASA engineer and while she was in labour with him she was working on problems for a rocket launch oh my god wow what a life yeah what an impressive woman alright number 10 what name was the most popular name given to boys in the UK in the 2010s this is a 50-50 answer so what name was the most popular name given to boys in the UK in the 2010s just me versus you here Jack Who do I prefer?

1:43:21I said what you put down I respect you I feel like my name This is Out of those two names I have a sneaking suspicion That Muhammad is the top one Yeah After that One of these two names Have we all just said Jack? Yeah Yeah Yeah it's Jack by Miles Steve used to be popular It hasn't It's actually been outside The top hundred For the last years It's a name that's fading Really? Yeah and Gary is almost dead Almost no one's called Gary I see that. I can see why would anyone look at a baby and go, that's a Steve.

1:43:53Bambino Becky:Right, I've done all right there. I've got one, two, three, I've got five in that round. I've got six. You're back. That's all right, that's all right. At least we put a bit of respectability on it. Right. 14 out of 40. 16. 12. Okay. Anyone? No, it's all to play for. You live in London, right, Becky? I do, I do. All right, I'll give you a hint. You live there. That's what this round is. It's all about London. Oh, I hate London. Think it's in Wales. He doesn't hate London to the many, many, many people who live here and listen to the show. Oh, they know. They know. London, London. All right. What tube line has the most southerly station on the network?

1:44:35So the furthest south station on the tube line in the tube network is on what line? So here's the other issue. We come in from Norwich. I don't know the last time I went south of the River 10. Does it This is tough There's not that many of them Have a guess And there's actually Not that many Go say to the river And it has to be an underground Yeah We're not just doing Random train stations Then we're down to like Fucking Dorset or Cornwall Woke Truro Truro Pye face What tube line If you don't know Have a guess at it Yeah I've just said one Go on Becky Yeah I'm just thinking of the map See Jack

1:45:10Bambino Becky:Time's up It is Oh God It's orange Orange Is not No It is the Jubilee line Jubilee I said Jubilee I said central line No it's the northern line Weirdly So the southernmost station Is on the northern line And the northernmost station Not on the northern line It's Morton apparently It's a A Morden Oh yes Alright Number two By area what is the largest London borough? Their football team at time of recording are top of League 2. Know it. I know it. I fucking know it. Football. Big clue there, isn't it? Football's coming home. No, it's not. Sorry, Dad. Maybe it isn't. He's over thinking it now, is he?

1:46:02I don't know the boroughs of London. Do you know League 2?

1:46:06Bambino Becky:That's what I think I got it from, that. Boroughs of London. I might actually not know this. It's between two for me I'm going to It's quite a bit bigger than second as well It's quite a big, in terms of area It's quite big Greenwich No Don't get why I said that either The things happening Like we were talking about in the car Now I don't know I wrote a place that's not even in London You put Burton didn't you I wrote Rochdale Rochdale is really not in London It's in Lancashire isn't it I know, I just wrote something. I'm between two. I said Essex, Essex. I'm between two. I'm going to tell you what one I don't think it is.

1:46:47Bambino Becky:I don't think it's Leighton. So I've come for Bromley. Bromley is correct. Should have got that. Where my dad's from. Yeah, should have got that. You don't even know. So rather than put the place where your father's from, you rode somewhere that you definitely knew was hundreds of miles away from the city. I just thought they were really shit at football. Yeah, Bromley have been promoted. That is silly for me. They're currently top. Is Leighton even a borough? I don't know. I don't think so. Platon Orient. Yeah. Good. Same. All right. I'm never coming back to one of my... You don't like London.

1:47:19Do you like Monopoly? Yes. In London, traditional London Monopoly, which of the brown properties is the only one that's south of the Thames? So all of the properties on the London board are north of the Thames except for one of the brown properties. What if I just told you about going south of the Thames? That's why I said do you like Monopoly? We don't go there. I have not played it in so long. I couldn't name any of the places This could be where Jack just streaks ahead Maybe I cannot say the names of either of them, there's only two brown ones on the top of the top of the top of the top of the top I know that

1:47:51Bambino Becky:I have a 50 % chance of getting this You do, look I don't know the London one very well I know the Dublin one inside out because I actually hate Monopoly, it's a terrible board game Really, why? Well it takes about three hours and it's really really dull once someone gets a bit ahead Yeah it is So the whole point of Monopoly was made to show that capitalism is unfair. It was called the landlord game originally. And it's to show that whoever accumulates wealth in the beginning just wins. Because they dominate because of the power of their buying power. And that's all it is. But it takes literally three hours.

1:48:21It's too long.

1:48:23Bambino Becky:Agreed. Agreed. Hear, hear, brother. I love a board game. I love a board game cafe. It's a great way to spend three hours. Big potato games do amazing board games. Really unique ones. Chameleon we play a lot, don't we? That's good. Right, Becky, what are you going for? About to see dogs home, Jack Russell speaking. That's how I answer the phone, you know. About to see. What, did you work there? Strangely, not on the Monopoly board. I always do it on the phone. I only knew Park Lane. Park Lane is... It's blue, isn't it? Yeah, and it's very much north of the river. I think I've got the wrong brown.

1:48:51Bambino Becky:I went Old Kent Road. Old Kent Road is correct. You've really impressed me today. Yeah, no, but he knows that from the McDonald's stickers. Doesn't matter how you know them, they all count. Even if they go in off your arse, it's still a goal. Intelligence is intelligence. Yeah, come on. All right. I had to see Doug still. Okay. By what nickname is the 591 foot tall building at 30 St. Mary's Axe, better known? So the skyscraper at 30 St. Mary's Axe, what nickname does it have? You want to know the buildings all have nicknames? Mm-hmm. Which one is that? That's a 50-50 guess for me. It's a toss-up.

1:49:27There's about eight or nine of them that have nicknames. I'm only thinking of the two main ones.

1:49:33Bambino Becky:I'm not going to do that. Right. What are you saying? I'm going for the gherkin. Yeah, gherkin. I've said the shard. It's the gherkin. I was between the two, but also in my head, I was going pickle. I was close to it. Do you know what? After his Nigella answer, I would have given you pickle. The pickle. That's a better name, isn't it? Number five. What London venue has hosted the second most men's FA Cup finals after Wembley? What London venue has hosted the second most men's FA Cup finals after Wembley? You have to name the name of the stadium, not just the team. Well, the team is irrelevant because they change every year because it's the FA Cup.

1:50:19Yeah. No, yeah, I meant like the... Team who owns the stadium. Yeah. You can name the team who owns it if you really like. Okay. If you're struggling for stadiums. I guess we'll just do that then.

1:50:29Bambino Becky:God, this is tough. This is odd. Is it? Or are you Throwing a curveball there No I think it's hard But yeah Okay I've gone Stamford Bridge West Ham Stadium No it's really new And no even their old one I said Stamford Bridge No it is the Oval Where's that? It's a cricket ground In Kennington What are they used Back in the day They did like 10 or 12 With the early ones Wembley wasn't the start It was in the It was in the Cricket grounds There was something in my brain Saying I don't think It's going to be a football ground Because cricket Cricket is much older Than football and they didn't have big stadiums.

1:51:03So when they had finals, they held them in cricket.

1:51:04Bambino Becky:Because it had to have been a neutral place. So yeah, fair enough. The Oval. It's a good fact that. It's a good one to take out at the pub because no one will believe you. You have to go way back. Yeah, that is good that. I like that. All right. This is very gettable. It might sound impossible, but this is really, really gettable. Who was Lord Mayor of London four times between 1397 and 1420? I guarantee you, all of you know the answer to this. Guaranteed. Is it William Chase? Guaranteed. No that's a good 150 years before he was born Wee willy winky So who was Lord Mayor of London four times Between 1397 and 1420 And you all know this answer And you'll be really annoyed when you hear it I don't know anyone No no no don't don't Don't be silly You can get this I know you can get this I know you can get it You're giving me positive reinforcement now So I'm really going to try Okay 1300s I'm between three but I think one of them 1300s you definitely I guarantee you all of you know this name we just get nervous in the quiz setting Dara I know we just want to impress you you've already impressed me you've impressed me as soon as you walked in oh thank you it's the co-ord I've got nothing I've gone blank on it fuck's sake I'm going to be annoyed aren't I you're going to be so mad oh no I've got three if one of them's right can I have it No, you have to pick one.

1:52:27Bambino Becky:That's how this works. Jack, Jack. This isn't scattergun. What about, just give us the three? And then whoever gets it. One each. You can eat one. I'm taking Henry VIII. Right? Okay. You're having Lord Stafford. And you're having Dick Whittington. I'm the guy who's warped. Dick Whittington. One of them is right. Of course it's Dick Whittington. Stevie gets the point. Yes! Yes! Dick Ratington was a real person. That's my best answer, yeah. Do you want the coat of his back as well? That's the first right one I've got in this round. He's not just a pantomime, he was a genuinely real person. Wow. Fucking hell, I'm smart.

1:53:08Thank you, Jack.

1:53:09Bambino Becky:Just give that to you. I'm kind of smart. All right. So it's not Lord Stafford. Sorry for Lord Stafford. No, it's all right, mate. I'm happy to give you a good one. Number seven. That's good. The podcast. That's what I wrote as well. The Lyric, Apollo, Gielgud, Sondheim and Palace Theatres, are all on what street in the West End? I just thought it was called the West End. The West End's an area, not a street. The Lyric, Apollo, Gielgud, Sondheim and Palace theatres are all on one street. Which street in the West End? Henry Calvert would know this. This is exactly how I expected a London round to go for me.

1:53:39Suck your street.

1:53:41Bambino Becky:Stop sucking that old. I can't. You can. You live in London, right? I do. I don't know anything about London I just keep myself to myself Pick a street Becky Yeah In the West End I'm going to put Chinatown Not a street But okay I wrote West Street Not a street as far as I know Oh no I got it Okay we can go back We'll let you go back I was being silly there You know I was being silly Drury Lane No The National Theatre It was a good show Before I say the answer There was a tragic thing That happened here recently. I saw it in the news. Someone died on Argyle Street. Is it Argyle Street? No, we're close.

1:54:24Bambino Becky:Shaftsbury Avenue. Oh, fucking. Shaft in the title. I should have known. I should have known. I should have known that one. Shafts and berries. Fucking ocean. All right. Lovely day out. Okay. It's not a clock. Big Ben is a bell. But what is the name of the clock tower that Big Ben is in? What's it called? that big tower and it's not Tower of London no because Tower of London is not in his apartment it's further off if it was by the way you would have gone and it's not you would have gone yeah so what is the name of the clock tower that Big Ben lived in it's got an official name it has an official name it was named recently recently yeah why are you doing that Big Ben was fine Big Ben is the name of the bell not the tower do you know this the bell is still named no it was really recent actually it's like in the last to the 10 or 15 years old.

1:55:20Oh, wow. They used to just be called the same thing. Oh, okay. If it was... I'm going to say Millennium Tower because it was 10 years. No, but not a bad idea. Thank you. Or Bell Tower. No. I've said Bigger Ben.

1:55:42The Elizabeth Tower.

1:55:45Bambino Becky:She gets everything. She got a line. One of my favourite things on Facebook is when you see racist uncles sharing fake news articles saying that they're going to rename Big Ben Massive Muhammad. All these old people are like, what the fuck is this country coming to? I really want them to do it now. I really want them to do that. Double M. Mimoo. Okay, let's get this farce over with. Two more questions. Okay, this one's multiple choice. How many capsules are on the London Eye? 24, 32 or 36? So how many capsules are on the London Eye? Look at them counting as if they can remember. that shot there sums up this episode what were the options?

1:56:32Bambino Becky:24, 32, 36 ET come on, get your numbers down 24, 32, 36 if in doubt go in the middle 32, 24 oh no way they are numbered 1 to 33 because they don't have a number 13 because it's bad luck. There's one missing. Is that the 13th? It's not missing. They just never named it that because they thought it was bad luck. Don't they do that in hotels on elevators? A lot of them do, yeah. They do it on plain aisles as well. Yeah, absolute nonsense. All because of... Superstition. Well, yeah, superstition comes from when they wiped out the Knights Templar on Friday the 13th. Oh, really? Yeah, so it goes way back.

1:57:15So the King of France society didn't want them around and he set out people all to go on the same day and that was Friday the 13th. That's where it comes from. Jason Voorhees probably didn't help either. No, no, it's not great, but... Yeah Also fictional He did Alright Here's a final one Which is the nearest To the bull one And a winner Winner wins the whole thing Whoever's closest Gets the point Absolutely not To the nearest million How many people live In the greater London area According to the last census Million To the nearest million How many people live In the greater London area That's London And all of the suburbs The whole shebang

1:57:50Bambino Becky:Fuck I've got nine mil Dara That is exactly correct. Jack! Did you say nine? Either of you say nine? I said 12. Nine it is. It's 9.1. That means Happy Hour podcast. Not exactly correct then. You rigged that, mate. I said to the nearest million. Right. Wow. That was fun. That was great fun. Thanks, Dara. That was a great quiz, mate. Thank you. I've had a lovely day. The real winner here is Dara. Of course it is. The real winner are the listeners, let's be honest. I got just over half. I got 21 out of 40. That's not bad at all. Well, considering one of the rounds was almost impossible, that's not bad no it was out of 50 oh yeah shit sorry mate oh I've miscounted then I got more than that so 9 out of 20 1, 2, 3, 4 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 we can cut this keep this in let people see the real machinations

1:58:52Bambino Becky:21 I think 21 out of 50 not bad well I had a round where I got zero yeah and that London round I said I wouldn't do well I would have got zero if I didn't steal Jack's Dick Whittington answer so I ended with 15 out of 50 15 Becky 30 % take it unlucky for Sam 13 nice you can have 14 because 13's unlucky and you still lose you're a proper gent I'm going to go away and revise what legend you are mate that was a brilliant quiz thank you so much guys go and check out your podcast, tell them. A normal meets a nerd and go to daraennis.com if you're in Ireland and you want to come do a quiz. It'll be easier than this and it's multiple choice, I promise.

1:59:31And you're smart enough. Yeah, let's all go to Ireland. Should we go to Ireland? Just come do the quiz. Lad's trip. Yeah, there's one in Dublin

1:59:37Bambino Becky:in the Laugh Lounge. It's great. Is it? Wow. And we are going to do the Jack and Stevie video where we get Dara to come to our pub quiz. Yes. One of my chopped liver. Love it. There we go, guys. This has been Jack Makes Happy Hour with the brilliant Dara Ennis. Thank you.
