In short
Lizzo discusses resilience and self-protection—especially protecting her “inner child”—through faith (“woo-woo” grounded in God), shadow work, and therapy. She also explains how she distinguishes anxiety attacks from panic attacks and how public scrutiny and trauma reshaped her sense of freedom and identity. She ties these themes to her children’s book message about confidence and imagination, and to her music as emotional processing (darkness/shadow work vs. inner-child celebration).
Guests
Lizzo (world-class flutist; certified hitmaker; 4 Grammys and an Emmy; actress/TV star; released an album titled “Bitch” and a children’s book). Host: Angie Martinez (interviewer).
Key claims
- She “kills expectations” by entering with gratitude and being present.
- She leads with an “assumption of good,” and wrote the children’s book to cultivate that in others.
- Therapy helped her mourn lost freedoms after fame and manage anxiety/panic.
- “Woo-woo” for her is spiritual life connected to God, not performative.
- Anxiety attacks often start from spiraling thoughts; panic attacks can come “out of nowhere” as a body danger response.
Notable examples
- Crying after reading her book to 500 students in Brooklyn; a little girl hugged her and she felt overwhelmed by children’s purity.
- After her song hit #1 and her movie “Hustlers” era, fame began to feel like a burden; her therapist taught her to mourn lost autonomy.
- Panic attacks after a 2023 lawsuit; one episode involved tingling/heavy hands while driving, requiring help at a gas station.

If I want to dig a little deeper, I can also see the nutrition quality and overall health quality before I buy it. It makes grocery shopping so much easier. I've got little kids. 4:28I'd rather have flops than regrets. You know, I'd rather have misses than look back and be like, damn, I should have did that. Oh, I'd hate to do that. So this is a chapter of your life. the book is not over and only God has the final say. So if you're still here, that means you're supposed to be here. Mm-hmm.
4:52Hey guys, thanks for watching. This episode is brought to you by Boost Mobile. Today's guest is a bonafide superstar. She's a world-class flutist. It's my first flutist on the podcast and she is a certified hit maker from Truth Hurts to Good As Hell to Juice. She's got four Grammys and an Emmy. She is an actress, television star. And you're the only person that could put out an album called Bitch and then follow it up with a children's book? Oh, my goodness. Huh? Well, there's a female dog in the book. Well, look at that. Look at you putting it all together. You know what's so crazy? Everyone always forgets the Emmy.
5:24I said Emmy. No, you don't. Everyone always goes four-time Grammy. I'm like, what's the Emmy? Emmy's nice. It's not that. And you have both. Yeah. Do you have aspirations for all of them? I have the talent to have the aspirations for all of them. But I'm not... That means you have the aspirations for all of them. I'm not trying for it. How about that? I feel like everything that's meant for me comes to me. Do you really? I absolutely do. Even the shitty things. I believe that too. I operate under that. But sometimes it's still... And we have vision of things for ourselves. So when vision is, when you want to go over here to the right and it goes to the left or whatever, sometimes it's fucking frustrating.
6:10It is. But you know what I've learned how to do? I've learned how to kill my expectations. How do you do this? You just, with nothingness. You know, you walk in with gratitude. I'm grateful that I'm coming into this interview. I don't know how this interview going to go. It's going to be great. I don't know. Right. But I'm also in my mind like, I'm good today. I'm going to make Angie cry. And it's going to go viral. And it's, no. No, like that's not, you know what I mean? Like, don't do that. Oh, I thought that that was your goal today. It's not. But I was just making that up. But no, I'm walking in like, I'm just going to have a good ass time and see what comes from it.
6:41And be present. Yeah. But I've never made anyone cry in a podcast, by the way. Really? If you did, you'd be the first. That would be like a challenge. What if it happens? Because. What would it take? Do you cry? You don't seem like you cry at all. You know what? I do cry. I cry. You know what makes me cry? What? Truth. Ooh. like real deep truth. Like if I, if I'm, if I'm, if I'm learning something in real time and it's very truthful and I've never said it or, or really processed it, like truth for the first time will make me get choked up. When was the last time you cried? Oh God. Oh wow. You have to think about it yesterday for me.
7:20Yesterday? Literally yesterday. Isn't that crazy? No, it's not crazy at all. I could have cried yesterday. I might've cried this morning. I don't, I don't know. You could have, you could, you don't remember what you have. I saw a discharge coming from your eyeball. Why were you crying? Is that I can ask? Yeah, I went to a public school in Brooklyn and I read my book for 500 students and I bawled. That would make me cry. That would make me cry. No, it got me. What were the tears? Was it gratitude? Was it just like overwhelming? Yeah, I was overwhelmed with how cute they were. But also they were just so special to me and so precious.
7:57I was like, oh, my God, a child is so precious. There was a little girl who looked like me and she hugged me and I hugged her back. And I was like, I love you. And she went to her seat and I just saw her doing like falling into her hands. And then I started crying. And I went to her, I was like, what's wrong? Why are you crying? She's just so happy. I'm like, well, let's be happy. Let's not cry. You know, but she was just so sweet. I was just overwhelmed with their purity. They're so pure and deserve to be protected. Especially when there's such garbage in the world. Yes, that's what I mean. Like we got to protect them.
8:28Oh, my God. I need protection. And I'm at my big age. Yeah. You know, imagine how hard it is for the little ones. Yeah. What do you do for that? Like, how do you protect yourself? Oh, my God. That's a great question. Yeah. Because, you know, I've been learning through therapy. Okay. That I have been leading with my inner child my whole career and adult life. And she's been the one. Lil Lizzo from this book is just like, come on, let's go. Let's have fun. Is everybody happy? Everybody wins. is everybody okay this looks fun and I wasn't protecting her while I was allowing her to lead and you know she got taken advantage of and now I'm doing these things where I have to stand in front of baby Melissa Lizzo has to stand in front of baby Melissa with one of them uh them shield Wakanda shields and uh and swords and be like no don't mess with her yeah and I'll be like okay baby Melissa do what you want to do play with the toys don't mess with her you know I love that she's not ruined no she's still there you know what I mean because sometimes heartbreak or disappointment you know it almost could ruin that little kind of innocence bright eye bushy tail kind of vibes yeah I don't know does that make you sad a little bit that you can't be that free it comes with what everything I've signed I mean I mean I I could be Andre 3000 and go off and just play flute in the wilderness.
9:58And that would be fabulous, actually. That's freedom to me if you're an artist. And I'll get there one day. But right now, what I'm choosing to navigate, the path I'm choosing to navigate is very treacherous and not as free. So I do have to be very careful. I'm a really trusting person. Still? And gullible. No. No. No. Ah, yes. I still get got I'd be like wait what really I didn't even know I'm still getting the wool pulled from my eyes about things and situations and relationships and I'm like how is this still happening to me that's so weird that's so interesting to me because you do seem bright eyed and like you you do have that youthfulness about you but you're not naive all the way I'm very smart you're really smart so it surprises me that you could be I don't know just surprised that much by either people's behavior or how something is whatever, whatever, whatever disappointed you that you would be that surprised.
11:02It's called the assumption of good. I think that, yes, I am a very like intelligent person and I am an analytical person, but I also have the assumption of good in all people. And I think that's why I wrote my children's book is to kind of cultivate that in others and protect that in others. And I believe everyone is a good person. And I think it starts in childhood. You know, the person that you're going to grow up and become starts there. And if you don't have creative outlets, if you don't have your imagination, then, you know, you might be one of those people that end up hurting people. And I want less of those kinds of people in the world.
11:43Yeah, we all do, right? Yeah. Because they suck. They suck. That should be your next book. They suck. Some of you people really suck. Some of you people really suck. I said sucky people make sucky people. Sucky people have sucky kids. So let's all be good people. Is that your next children's book? We'll see, honey. Don't be a sucky kid. Right. Be a good kid. Be cool. Play the flute. What is the number? What is the lesson to kids, though? Like, what is the? the last line is music is magic when friendship is true and I think that that is like one of you see that music is magic music is magic when friendship is true your song is your own that's what makes you you and I feel like that's beyond playing the flute that's beyond what we know music is that's imagination and that's the message I want every young person to take home or every person like yeah when I sign books because I've been signing books for so many people I say music is magic and so are you you know because I want to keep their imaginations alive I want them to build confidence in themselves at a young age because we're born so confident and we're born so loving and this world tries to strip it away from you every single day, whether it's from school, whether it's from watching TV, looking at the internet, comment sections, whatever.
13:17It tries to tell you you're not good enough or why something's wrong with you. And it strips your confidence away. And I wanted to put something out in the world that builds confidence, you know, and like your song is your own, whether it's a good song, whether it's a song that don't sound so good, whether You know, whether you could play the flute or you sing or guitar or you don't play anything at all. What's your song? You know, what makes you you? That's so good. I almost feel like you did this for them, but I also feel like you probably needed this energy in your life. This is a moment. Perfect time.
13:50Right. Like you probably needed this energy in your life of like, I don't know. I think creatively things come out that you need. Yeah. If you're being true to your art or whatever. Yeah. Yeah, well, you know what's so funny? I've been doing, I'm always intuitively led when I create. And it's really funny that I made an album called Bitch. Not only for the obvious reasons, 100 % that bitch is like, you know, everybody knows me as that, that's my brand. And yeah, but this the way I use the connotation of this bitch had a little bit of more edge and a lot of the music had a little bit more texture and a little bit more darkness to it than I normally do.
14:32And I do feel like that was me kind of expressing my shadow self. I don't know if you heard of like shadow work. Of course. But dealing with the size of yourself that aren't seen, you know, that you might not love the most, that you need to work out and work through and confront. And I think that this album, Bitch, was me working on my shadow self and doing all of that work, that real necessary work. And now this is like inner child celebration. And I've been working on this book for years. So I didn't plan for this timing. God did. God, dude So when it came out It was like the perfect time The perfect thing to offset Offset!
15:15Sorry I have a problem Who are Do you get the Tourette's? What is that? I don't know what's wrong with me What is that? I'm so sorry I have these I have these stems That I have to say And they just so happen to be back to back I'm so sorry But you did that Okay Okay I'm okay. I'm okay. I promise. I'm not crazy. I like it. I want to do one. I still have one. I want to do one. I know you got one. I know you got one. Okay. I don't know. It's all I had. It wasn't really good. Okay. It was okay. It wasn't great. It has to be kind of relevant. I also wasn't committed. I wasn't. I didn't commit. It was just kind of like the only thing that came.
15:56It feels good to just utter utterance. Just utter something. Explain. I'm going to try. I don't want to do it now on the spot, but if in the interview later. Come on. You got the siren in the background. Come on. It's whimsical. Come on. Just give me something. I need a little whimsy in my life. You need a lot of whimsy. I do? Yeah. Are you like, is that analyzing? Or you think we all need a lot of whimsy? You work really fucking hard. I know. You came from a podcast and an interview and a TV show and a movie and a radio. Today. Today. So I'm like, where's your whimsy? I know. Is that what you're here to give me today?
16:31That message? I feel like that's... Message. You know what? Message. Huh? Huh? I did it. You did it. I did it. Y 'all gotta give it up. I did it. Lizzo made me do it. Oh my God. I loved it. Lizzo made me do it as fire. We'll talk about that later. Okay. Hey guys, so much of what we talk about on IRL is really about understanding the world that we're living in, like what's changing, what people care about, where this is all headed. Because every day something happens that shifts the conversation. A headline changes, new technology takes off. Sometimes things happen in politics that nobody saw coming.
17:09A story takes over the internet and immediately everybody has an opinion about what's happening next. And that's where Polymarket comes in. Polymarket is a legal prediction market available in all 50 states where you can trade on real world events and the questions that everybody is already talking about. Think of it like putting your point of view to the test. And the interesting part is that you're allowed to change your mind because that's real life, right? We change our mind. New information is coming in. The conversation shifts. Something happens that changes your perspective. On Polymarket, you can respond in real time.
17:43You can sell, cash out, or get back in when you see things are going differently. And honestly, I like that idea because having a strong opinion is one thing, but knowing when information should change your opinion, that is something else. So if you're somebody who pays attention to what's happening in the world and always has a prediction about what's coming next, you can check out Polymarket. You can deposit$10 and get a$50 bonus when you sign up with promo code Angie. That's polymarket.us. Promo code Angie for a$50 bonus on a$10 deposit. Hey, our ride's almost here. Are you ready? Just grabbing my shoes.

20:46Hey guys, it's Ashley Akinetti from the Ben and Ashley, I Almost Ava's podcast. My friend said this one and I have adopted it as my own. She goes, I'm not a crunchy mom, but I'm a crispy mom. 24:51by the way Lizzo made me do it is pretty good look at all these confirmations we're getting from the universe are you a woo woo girl yes what do you of course I am I woo woo but not in a traditional sense so how woo woo do you woo I woo I stop wooing wherever the truth stops woo woo sometimes woo could be performative woo and sometimes woo could be like it's not one size fits all right so sometimes a book on woo woo is just not what I need my spirit needs right now woo woo woo so that's kind of where I stop but I'm open to it and I receive it when it's for me wow is that a long answer that's a good fucking answer yeah sometimes woo woo is performative it is I don't want to perform woo right you know I just want to be woo be woo Woo.
25:45That was deep. That was deep, Frank. That was a Wu-Tang. I just did the Wu-Tang. Wu-Tang for motherfucking ever, bitch. You see what I'm saying? Okay, sorry. We are the Wu-Tang, Glenn. We are the Wu. The Wu. Are there sketch shows? Well, besides SNL. We need a sketch show because the Wu-Tang click, it's like a bunch of Wu girls just like sipping tea with their hair like wrapped in the... That's fine. Listening to Erykah Badu? Yes. Wait. Okay, stop. Let's stop. We're going down a road. But wait, take me back for one second. The woo in you.
26:23You're really woo, right? Yeah. I mean, I grew up in the Church of God in Christ. Yes. So when you grow up in a Kojic church, you have a direct line to spirit. Like when you catch the spirit and you catch the Holy Ghost, I'm like, hello, Jesus. Like that, you know. All day, every day. So I grew up seeing spirit synonymous with life, just life on earth. Like music is spiritual. Eating food is spiritual. Like eating food on Sunday with my family, eating food on Thanksgiving with my entire family, eating food after church. That's spiritual. Everything is spiritual to me. Sitting down in a pew, you know, banging on something, dancing, shaking, shimmying, hollering, hooting, hooting, hollering.

27:09Sorry, I had to run it back. So, yeah, I feel like I came into this world equipped to be woo. And I feel like the things that have come to me, I've been open to. So, like, I manifest. I've seen manifestation happen in real time like that. And I'm like, oh, wow. Okay, let me calm down. Let me watch my mouth. Let me watch my five foot two mouth. because anything you say could happen for better or for worse. You know, little things like that. And I pray every single day, you know, and I light my incense when I pray and I listen to my gospel music, you know, on Sunday. Pray him in. Okay, Fred Hammond.
27:53Pray him in. Kirk Franklin. I was listening this past week. Oh my God, you know what I... You know Kirk Franklin? Girl, please. You just asked me when I... a tear this past Sunday. Listening to my, I have a church playlist on Sundays. And, oh my God, what is the song? Storm is Over. Nope. Melodies from Heaven. I love Melodies from Heaven. No, it's Life is in your head. Take Me to the King. Ooh, Jesus. Why did I just surrender right now? You feel that, right? So take me to the king. The king. Yes. I don't have much to bring. Come on. I'm just saying, I was singing it in the car. I was just kind of singing along with it.
28:49I love this song. I'm on a playlist. I'm vibing. I'm in the car. And I caught a thing that made me get teary eyed. I'm telling you to get teary right now just telling it to you. Yeah, that song. A good church song will get me. That's a good one. We sing that during worship, but also that is a song sang at homecomings, you know, homegoings, I should say. Like at funerals and stuff like that one. So that one has a lot of weight to it. And it can take you, you know, with that song, you can transcend. That's probably what happened. I don't know what happened. You said, take me like, take the wheel, Jesus.
29:26Don't take her to the king just yet, God. We have things to do. No. take me to the king so i can sing my song is really old it's not you know don't take me up up top just yet not yonder lord how did we get to that i don't know how did we get to god crazy gospel music by the way all of that stand oh so your woo-woo is as it is you connected to god yes absolutely not everybody does that yeah so that's why sometimes the line of woo Oh, the universe. I'm like, okay, who made the universe? Answer quickly. Quickly now, who made science? Exactly. So yeah, no, I believe in God. I love God. Me too, real big.
30:13So if you ask me that in that context, then yes, I'm very woo-woo. Yay. In that way. Look at us. It's just that, you know, there's like woo-woo's like a wave now. Oh baby, let me tell you. And it goes. That wave goes to different parts of the ocean. so I'll be like no y 'all can go over there Tom Hanks and Wilson y 'all can y 'all can be right over there that part of the ocean I'm gonna be over here I'm gonna be in the Caribbean but you've done work that's like work right like shadow work yes and inner child you had that same therapist that I read that or hear that you've had the same therapist for I don't know decades is that right?
30:52I'm not there yet. But before you like. Yeah, before fame. Before fame. Yeah. I've had her since maybe 2017 or so. Best lesson she's taught you. Woo. Woo. Okay. The first best, because she's taught me a lot. We love her. Dr. Shante DeLoach. The first best was, I remember in 2019, my song had gone number one. and I was in Hustlers with J-Lo. That was a big year. Big fucking year, big fucking movie. Yeah, big movie, Met Gala and all that stuff. It was a lot going on. Yeah, I went with Marc Jacobs. And I was like, yay, this is fun. And I remember I was on tour and I wanted to go see my movie in the theaters.
31:43And they were like, okay, well, you can rent out the whole theater. I remember I was like, well, I'm a baller. I'm gonna rent out this whole theater and just have everyone from my tour be able to come and watch this movie. So we were doing that. And when I left, I remember there were people outside waiting for me. And that had never happened to me before. I was like, first of all, how y 'all knew I was here? And what do y 'all want? I was so confused. I was like, do y 'all, you just want to see me? Like, what's happening? And I remember I got in the car and I was like, that was strange. And then from then on, I wasn't able to move the same way I used to move.
32:15Like we will go to different cities and I'd be like, oh, y 'all want to go eat here? And we would just leave the hotel and go eat there. Not anymore. It was like all of these things. Small changes. Yeah. It was like, OK, well, now I have to call this person and call that person and arrange for this. And they'd be like, y 'all just go ahead without me. I'm gonna make y 'all late. And I started to feel like a burden in people's lives. And I started to feel like my fame was burdening the people around me. And I became very depressed about that. I was really sad. And I remember talking to my therapist and crying about being famous.
32:47It was so stupid. But I was like, my friends, I'm a burden to everyone around me. And she said, hold on. She was like, you need, she's like, listen, get real with yourself. There's a part of you that just doesn't exist anymore. That part of you that can go to restaurants just willy-nilly and move around without security and without coordination is gone. Like that freedom, you have to mourn. And I was like, what you mean mourn? Like it's dead? And I hated that thought. It made me very uncomfortable. But I mourned it. I mourned that part of me. And once I was able to do that, now I'm like, yay, I appreciate it.
33:27I'm like, this is great. I'll meet y 'all later. Y 'all go to this restaurant. y 'all do that because it's gone now I've laid it to rest it's not there nagging the shoulda woulda couldas and I thought that was like such a huge lesson for me and I thought that would be the only thing I had to mourn and then you keep learning these lessons in this business and you're like wow there's more of me I have to mourn the loss of my freedom um as a regular person was was difficult for me to mourn and then it was like the loss of the autonomy of my identity in the public eye. That was her next lesson to me.
34:03And she taught me that maybe three years ago. She was like, yeah, you don't have control of that anymore. Put her to rest. Take me to the king. Baby, I had a home going at everything. I said, all right, peace with Alizzo. I used to know, honey. She's gone. It's fine. It's out of my control. Wow. So she's good, your therapist. Yo, you know why she good? Because I talk a lot. And I need people to know that therapy, especially Black people, because we have stigmatized therapy in a way where it's like, you know, I don't need that. Why would I tell somebody my business? But I'm like, find someone. They don't have to be a licensed therapist, whatever.
34:47Find someone that you can talk to enough that you can work your shit out with them. And they're passive enough, but they're listening enough and they're intelligent enough to allow you to work your problems out. It's really hard to find people like that that are not a therapist because you also don't want to wear out people you love. Yes, that's true. If you're going through shit. I mean, I'm not saying you can't rely and lean on friends and family, but like sometimes if you really got to sort through some deep, dark shit. Yes. You may need somebody help to help who's like their job. Absolutely.
35:16But I always say that because I know it's expensive. Yeah. I know that getting therapy is expensive and all of that. And some people, they need insurance and things like that. but I will agree with you the instinct for anyone who loves me when I tell them hey you know I was pretty sad about this no what and I'm like now you upset now you sad I would tell people I was sad they would start crying and I'm like this is crazy like I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sad so yeah that's why I had to find a therapist but you're absolutely right it's hard to just put that on people When did you find one? It was like 2017.
35:58I was having what I know now to be an anxiety attack, which not to be confused with a panic attack, which I hadn't had until years later. It was just an anxiety, not just God forbid. It was awful. But it kept me from going on stage, which was the one thing that always saved me. What does that feel like? Because we hear that term a lot. I believe I had one before, but when it happened, even me just being around people, talking to people, I wasn't sure because I didn't. The words sometimes don't match what that actually feels like. You're talking about anxiety versus panic? Like an anxiety attack.
36:31I would love to answer this question. I know these things very well. Anxiety attack starts with a thought a lot of the times. It's a thought pattern that spirals you into a kind of physical response. So sometimes one of my worst anxiety attacks I had was I was really nervous about going to this event. It was like this MTV thing. And there was someone there that I was just like really nervous about being around and confronting. And that spiraled into I don't know what to wear. I don't know what in my I didn't realize it. But I had walked in and out of my closet maybe well over 50 times and tried on something and threw it on the bed, tried on something, threw it on the bed.
37:13and I was on autopilot. I didn't realize it. And I looked and I had this huge pile of clothes on my bed and I was like anxious. Like I could feel the tingles in my body. And I was like, what is happening to me? I can't breathe. This is so weird. And then I like, you breathe and then you calm your thoughts down. You calm the thought spiral and the anxiety attack can be quickly resolved. Panic attacks are way different. Panic attacks can come out of nowhere. Panic attacks are the physical response. Your body thinks you're in danger before your mind even knows what's going on. And for me, I had dealt with so much trauma.
37:51I started having panic attacks back in 2023 after I had that really horrible lawsuit come out about me and everybody believed things about me that weren't true. I started developing panic attacks. And I remember one day I was just driving on the freeway and I was looking at the sunset And I was like, wow, the sunset is so beautiful. And then I could feel like something coming from the base of my spine, like chills or something. And it spread to my hands. And I'm on the freeway. And my hands started tingling. And I couldn't feel them anymore. And I was like, what is happening to me? And I remember, like, my hands felt so heavy because I didn't have the sensation in them that I couldn't really hold the steering wheel.
38:36And I was like, this is an anxiety attack. So I call my brother and he's trying to calm me down while I'm on the freeway. And I kind of, I swerve in between lanes and I'm in between an 18 wheeler and another truck and my car's in between the lane. And I'm like, this is it. I was like, I don't know what's happening to my body. I've lost control of my body. I didn't have a thought that got me there. It just took over my body. And I somehow veered off of the freeway. Even my brother calming me down, couldn't calm my mind down. So I call my doctor and she's like, oh, this is panic. you're having a full-on panic attack so that's the difference between an anxiety attack and a panic attack like they're both extremely serious but luckily with like good breathing techniques you can kind of quail an anxiety attack you're on your own panic you need to call somebody you need help yeah wow I was at a gas station I couldn't use my legs wow yeah I literally had to have somebody come to the gas station and help me out of the car and drive me.
39:36And then what kind of work do you do to help yourself from ever having that happen to you again? And what is that? Is that a, you say it's not a thought, but is it an accumulation? Like you had just been through that stuff. Yeah. It's trauma. It's trauma trapped in the base of your spine. And that trauma can be triggered by anything because it's down here. It don't need a thought to be triggered. It just a sensation, a feeling, a familiar thing, and we're not okay. And it will respond in releasing chemicals through your body. You're getting adrenaline shooting through your body for no reason because that adrenaline is like your body's way of saying, help, run fast, get us up out of here.
40:17You're in danger. And I'm like, no, I'm not. I'm cool. But your body's like, no, we're not. But I had so much trauma that I just pushed down, pushed down, pushed down, that my body was just kind of acting out out of control. It was so I think I've worked on it by like. Hey, our ride's almost here. Are you ready? Just grabbing my shoes. That's what you said 10 minutes ago. 46:42I wonder if in that moment, you can stop me if you're wrong, because you talk about like leading with your child and almost being, not naive, because you're not naive, you're smart, but almost being, I don't know, just like pure. Like you're you were running through life trying to be this way. And then the lawsuit and people thinking things of you that you weren't. I don't know. It's almost like the rose colored glasses go away a little bit. I'm just wondering if that was the accumulation of you. like almost losing that kind of innocence of like how you were being perceived. And I don't know why that moment was so heavy.
47:23Because, you know, listen, you're a public eye. We get accused of things. People say shit about you that's false every single day. I just, in that moment, why was it so heavy on you? I guess that's what I'm asking. What do you think? um i mean i think you gotta that's a question for the world like it was it's it was very intense i feel like you know i feel like i've had some things in the past so it wasn't even about the lawsuit it was how it was being received by everyone i mean you are a successful person Like, you know what I mean? Once you become successful, that's kind of what comes. That's a part of.
48:08That's what I mean. That's why I wonder why it cut so deep. Yeah, but I this was just a. Very public attack on like the fiber of my being, everything that I represent and am, you know what I fight for. And I think that I couldn't believe that people would believe I was what those people were saying about me. It was really strange. It was really strange. I was like, wait, what would lead anyone to believe those people? It was such the opposite of who I am. and I think that um more so than like rose colored glasses because I like going to the beach and like you know chilling you still like a rose colored glass I got my little glasses on it's Saint Laurent but I'll be like wow the world is so beautiful like I think that we live in such a beautiful world and I think people are so beautiful like I love looking into people's eyes that I see on the street and just being like how are you doing you know and then looking at their dogs and be like oh cute dog like I still have my rose colored glasses on but I just think that I can separate the industry and you know this social media I can separate all of that from humanity yes humanity and reality I get that and I know the difference and I now I look over there and I'm like oh you can't be trusted yeah you know what I'm saying you can switch up any day do you Do you believe that all of our challenges are like that you're supposed to go through something like like I don't know.
49:55I just wonder what you learned from that or if anytime something bad happens, I wait for that. I wait for the lesson. I'm like, OK, clearly this is happening to me for some reason. I'm awake. I'm awake patiently for the lesson. And it always shows up. Yeah. I wonder for you if that if any of that landed for you in some way that changed you or shifted you in a positive way. I mean, I think bad things happen to me. I mean, who's had just a life with no incident, no heartbreak, you know, no trials? We just had Yaya, you know him, Yaya, the actor, Abdul-Manti. Yeah, we had Yaya on. He was saying, trouble's coming for everybody.
50:38There's goodness coming, too. But, like, both are coming. And it's just... That's life. It really is. It's just life. I feel like life, for me, it feels like when you're in the ocean and there's just waves that come by and there's waves that come by. And then sometimes the ocean is very still and very peaceful. And then a wave comes by and sometimes there's a storm. And then when the storm passes, you're like, oh, that was terrible. But then you appreciate when it's still and beautiful and calm again. And I think that that's just how we all have to continue to ride the wave of life. We're all riding the wave of life.
51:19I think it's a beautiful thing when you can zoom out and look at it like that. But it's awful when you're zoomed in. You're like, ah, get me off of this damn thing. Or when you're in it. Like in the middle of the storm. In the middle of the storm. You're in of a storm. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But sometimes you hit that, like you said, you wait for your lesson. You're in the quiet of the storm. And I'm in Houston. So I'm from Houston. We got the hurricanes. There's an eye of a hurricane. and it's like destruction all around for miles. And then in the middle, there's this calm. And I remember I've been in a hurricane and in that calm and it's eerie, but you're just like, brace yourself.
52:00I know what's coming. I've been through this and I can survive it. And I think that that mentality I take with me everywhere I go. I've been through really traumatic things. You know, like I always talk about how I've had to I lived out of my car for a year and I lost my dad during that time at a young age. Unexpectedly, I have nowhere to live, no job, eating food from my friends' houses when they would let me sleeping on the floors of my friends right next to their bed because they had a little room. It's bed here. I'm sleeping on the floor. You know, I've been through so much that I know that God is going to continue to bless me.
52:42You know, it's not like my life was like sunshine, rainbows, and now I don't know what to do with myself. I'm like, no, I'm a fighter. I'm a very strong person. And I make myself better every single time. I don't allow it to make me worse. I don't allow hard things to make me a vindictive person or shitty person. Like, I'm not going to allow them to win. I liked your quote that you said that you prayed for the truth in your post. Is that something you normally pray for or is that just connected to how people perceive you? you know what I mean yes um but truth comes out in many many many different ways you know and I would say that like the truth always comes out in time no matter what no matter what the situation is in time people always look back and be like wait a minute maybe we were a little hard on so and so maybe we shouldn't have been you know everyone always looks back and truth is in hindsight.
53:46And I think for me, I just had to be patient because like, what's the point of fighting and flailing and complaining and screaming and making things worse? Just let things work itself out. It's above me. I see you on the other side of this. I see y 'all on the other side. Y 'all will see. Let me shut up. You know, me and my truth, we sit in silence. I love that. You know what? I would like to ask you because in times like that or whatever, you still have a bright I don't know, just idea of the world. You know, you're still looking for the good. Yes. I wonder, what is the thing? And then you have a relationship with God and you grew up in a church.
54:25I'm not even looking for the good. I see it. You see it. Despite it all, I see the good. I wonder what, because you've also been honest about the dark times and, you know, I've read and heard you talk about that summer after losing your dad. So when you're in those low parts, like what, because I know there's somebody, my god if you're if that if you're in that storm right now and you're in the low part like what do you say to her or him like what what gets you up what gets you out i feel like people always want to give advice from the other side of it and that's as someone who's been in it we not listening to that shit it's like i want to call someone to be miserable with me like relate don't give me no tips because it feels inescapable and as someone who's been there and you know it's never over like you think it's over and then it's like damn back in the trenches you know like how did this happen um and it can happen for many reasons i i yeah I was driving on the freeway.
55:41I was looking at the sunset. Boom, panic attack. So I always say,
55:52this is going to be, this is slight, maybe that's too dark. Now I have to know. It's a little dark, but I'm like, life is real. Yeah. Life will have the final say. you know life is going to take you out when you're supposed to be tooken out until then you're meant to be here so figure out why figure it out and sometimes you're not going to figure it out you're going to look up and it's going to be figured out for you you're going to be like oh that was why there's some people who have to go through this depression or go through dark times so that they can help others with it and their life is going to be helpful to someone just living and I think you have to have that kind of perspective of yourself not everybody gonna come through day depression and write a hit album about how to get out of depression I didn't even do it shit no shade but you know I'm still here and I think about my life in like movements and I think about this era of my particular life and I'm like I needed to do this you know I needed to get this off my chest I needed to get this out I want to live my life and look back and have no regrets.
57:06I'd rather have flops than regrets. You know, I'd rather have misses than look back and be like, damn, I should have did that. Ooh, I'd hate to do that. So this is a chapter of your life. The book is not over. And only God has the final say. So if you're still here, that means you're supposed to be here. Sometimes just that little bit of faith, man. Just a little bit. A mustard seed. A mustard seed. I'm like mustard. We'll get you there. Mustard seed. Oh, man. I don't know what I do with my mustard seed. The brat's wife, Judy, she gave me, they came here and she carries them in little vials. They're little baby vials and each one has a mustard seed in it.
57:44And she goes around and she gives you a mustard seed. You know, it's so powerful because it's like, even when you don't got it, this is as much as you need. This much has gotten me through to sitting here with you. Just this much. so even as much as you can muster yeah you know so that's a really powerful reminder are you proud of yourself lizzo oh my god overly really overly proud what do you what are you most proud of
58:22I have so many things I'm proud of. Damn. But I think about this a lot, you know, because I'd be like, good job, Lizzo. You do? Yeah. Say that to yourself. Yes. Out loud. Absolutely. If I'm going to go, what's it? I'm going to also thank myself and pat myself on the back. I'll say for in the context of this conversation the thing I'm most proud of is I imagined something and I made it my reality you know I dreamed this life and I made it so this was not handed to me this was not in the cards even nobody realizes how different our culture was in 2016 17 fat Black girls were not pop stars. Never were.
59:10Closest thing we had was our girl Missy earlier. She wasn't even big. You see, Missy, she little, you know. So for me to have this reality meant that there was no blueprint laid out for me. There was no road paved for me. I did this all with the power of my imagination. But I have to bring it back. This is not PR to my book, Lil Liz O'Meas, Sasha B. Fluton. There's a war on imagination, I feel like. And they're killing creativity. It's like they're making these things that create for you. How can we create if we're prompting everything and everything's creating for us? Our creativity, our imagination is the most powerful tool we have.
59:54How do we protect it? Read, make stuff, make music, read about a little girl who made music and goes on an adventure and then make your own adventure yeah and make time for it too right kids got all the time in the world yeah yeah kids do but i'm talking about us as adults like how do we protect our own imaginations and our own art and creativity and things like that because yeah the world doesn't like you say it doesn't the algorithm's not really feeding you no creative juices no i don't know how to say i know because everybody's situation different, it's hard to get off the phone. It is hard to get off the phones.
1:00:32But I'll say this. It's hard to say it in my position, too, because right now the state of our economy is so bad that some people are, I need to work. I need to, you know. But I would say this is your human life. This is, as far as we know, your only human life. So have your non-negotiables. I was talking to somebody actually like a week or so ago and they were like, I just feel so far from creating these days. I have this job and it's taking all of me. You know, I'm working for like the, like for three people for one job. I'm doing three people's job. And I was like, man, find that one time where you doing something else, you know, where it's not work, but you find yourself doing something else to soothe.
1:01:20It's like, oh, sometimes maybe I'll play a game or Maybe I'll watch something and use that time to create. Use that time to cultivate your imagination. Because I found that I thought I was always busy and I thought I was swamped and I thought I didn't have time. But once I actually pulled back from the things that I was like taking in, I'm like, oh, I'm sitting and looking at TikTok. I actually could be creating, you know. And when I was like, I don't have the time. Yes, you do. You sitting there looking at TikTok, girl, go play the flute. You know what I'm saying? Go do something great. Go write something down.
1:01:54Damn, I don't know. Go outside and look at a cloud and be like, what does that look like? You know, meditate or something. You know, that's me talking to me, not talking to anyone else. That's my life. I love how much you talk to yourself. I'm probably crazy. But you know what? Name one genius or they're crazy. But they, you, I think talking to yourself, I'm, but I'm wild. I'm a self-love. I'm the self-love girl, though. I started talking in the mirror. In the mirror? I don't think I really talk to myself enough. I do say God loves me all the time, out loud. Like if something happens today or if I'm like, oh God, how is this going to work?
1:02:30And then all of a sudden it works. I'll be like, oh, God loves me so much. And I will say that out loud. Yeah, I love that. But like, good job, girl. I don't know that it's ever come out of my mouth. I know, it's bad. I'm going to do it in honor of you in our conversation today. I'm going to try to do that this week. In the mirror. In the mirror. Confront yourself in the mirror. I feel like a lot of people don't look. I look at myself so much I didn't realize how much people don't look at themselves. I look at my entire naked body every single day. Really? What are you saying? I was so stressed that I gave myself shingles.
1:03:01But I knew when I had a single shingle, a single shingle on my back, I said, what's that? And my doctor came and was like, take this immediately. Like, bitch, you got shingles. But that's because I know. Her shingles is terrible, by the way. And it never happened to me because I saw one clip on my ass. I said, wait, does I have a mole on my ass? But then I seen another mole next to it and I said, one of these things is not like the other. So then she sang a song about it. She sang a song about the shingle. Shingles no more, honey. Shingles no more. They even get a fucking chance. They even stand a fucking chance.
1:03:35All right. So you're in the mirror. You look at yourself. Every single day. And I'm like, wow, I look good. But it started off with me congratulating myself in advance. bands you gotta congratulate yourself in that band you gotta be like wow I'm so proud of you you did it you look amazing you look amazing girl like I love this I love how this looks I love how your ass looks I love how your stomach looks like oh thank you stomach digesting the food snatching me up making me look good keeping me warm like I talk like you can look online I have videos from back in 2020 of me talking to my stomach you know and I would always be like congratulations you did it you did it and I can go more into death off camera about the things that I did.
1:04:15Like outside of, you know what I'm trying to say. Like you did this, you did that, you did it, girl. I don't want to tell my business, but it's like, and then I look up and be like, wow, I did it. Like a year later. And I'll be like, wow, I did that thing that I said I was going to do, but I already celebrated a year ago. Man, I've asked the engine.

1:11:59do we have a voice note today for miss lizzo this is our voice note segment brought to us by boost mobile thank you boost mobile thank you and um yeah so somebody has a question comment for lizzo let's have it hi lizzo okay i have to know what do you do to train to be on stage you know how they used to say that destiny child and Beyonce, Matthew Knowles would have them singing and running on the treadmill. What do you do to prepare? Because you're playing the flute, singing, dancing, rapping, changing outfits. How do you prepare to be on stage? That is a real question because I've seen you too and I'd be tired.
1:12:41You know what's so crazy? Like when people used to say, well, I'm just tired looking at you back in a day in the in my bigger body who I love so much thank you girl um I people used to be like that's so backhanded but I'm like I don't take it as backhanded because I'm actually doing some like Olympian level shit like it don't matter what size my body was I was doing or is I was doing 90 minute arena shows in a sparkly cat suit rapping seamlessly rapping into singing into playing the flute into doing full-out choreography, twerking, emoting to an audience, screaming, going off the dome, pontificating, and under bright lights every single night, running back and forth.
1:13:33I have unbridled energy naturally. So, okay. Tyson Beckford. Yeah, so for me, I always took it as a compliment because I'm like, yeah, I know. know it's true um the funny thing about that beyonce running on a treadmill thing is when i was younger oh my god we grew up with the lure of destiny's child in houston texas so we heard all of the stories and they'd be like you know matthew knows used to make them run in heels on the track and sing so i would be with my friends and we had like little you know rap groups and stuff and i'll be out there and i'm like y 'all we gotta run and sing we gotta run and sing because we're gonna be performing on stage and we need the stamina.
1:14:18And I remember I was trying to sing and run and my friend was like, stop. Stop singing. Ugh. Like, it's not gonna happen. I remember she said that to me and I was so sad, but uh-huh. Nah. Nah. He was wrong. Uh-huh. But yeah, no, I do. I just was born with a lot of natural energy. Like, when I'm on tour, I honestly have to do real work to calm the fuck down because I could keep going forever. Like after a show, I could play another show. And I used to. I used to have to play another show after the show and after the show and the next show and the next show and the next show. So now I do like ref work and like, okay, now I have to actively calm down because I can just.
1:15:04What is that? Metabolism. What is that? What is that? I just be excited about life. Like I've really been this way. My mom was like, you've been this way since you were a little girl. Like in school, I was like an overachiever. Like I wanted to do everything, all the extracurriculars. I wanted to be in band and theater and all the AP classes. And I wanted to be class president. And I want, you know what I'm saying? Like I wanted to be a baton girl. I wanted to be a Revolier. I wanted to be, oh, that's a little dance. I wanted to be everything, you know? So I have it in me to kind of run myself raggedy.
1:15:40so you gotta be careful about what you choose to do amen that's why you gotta get a good team what is the next wave of lizzo like what is the next i mean i know we're in book this book now and but like what i don't know if if this it's like your life was in chapters like what is the next chapter i definitely feel like this is the first page of a new chapter for me which is really exciting. I think this is where I finally get all my fucking ideas out. I have a lot of ideas that I've been trying to execute and get off. And I want to help people in more ways than just writing a song that helps them.
1:16:18I know I can do that. And I want to continue to do that. I want to actually get back to doing that if I'm being real. I wrote a bunch of songs on this album that helped me. But that's extremely unrelatable. But I needed to. And now I'm like, I want to get back to writing music that helps people I want to I want to start extending myself you know because I've been blessed so much so it's like how can I help especially right now when people need help the most yeah I know you have got like I don't know your eye on some type of prize or like you know what I've been doing these little things like shout out Kaisa not because he invited me oh I love that you did streamer right yeah and I taught a self-love class and that just really like man, some of those kids never got to tell themselves, I'm proud of you.
1:17:05They got chosen for Streamer U and just went into full work hustle mode and was being so hard on themselves. And they were like, I got to get the right clips. I got to go live or I got to stream. I got to talk to my chat. And they will come into my classroom and they'd be like, what did you put in this room? Because now I'm calm. What did you put in this room? Because now I'm crying. What's happening? I can't remember the last time I told myself, I'm proud of you. and that was really really eye-opening for me and heart opening and I was like I need to do this more so I did my own self-love class and on on Twitch and I want to continue to extend that energy on Twitch on that platform yeah so I've got some ideas my goal is to have something once a month that kind of um serves that yeah serves that purpose I love that yeah I want to watch I will watch that show Hello I already learned today I'm going to talk to myself in the mirror Yes What else?
1:18:01There was something Positively to yourself I'm going to be more whimsical More whimsical Shout for no reason I'm going to just Shout out song names Yes Song names Message And dance And dance And be free Whip your ponytail I whip my hair back and forth That's all you'll hear You don't got no pieces in there I definitely got pieces in there You crazy Damn Okay shit thick my ponytail would be like this right no same two scoops
1:18:33why am I in the bowl for her this is your bowl oh damn we gotta do an IRL bowl before you go pick a couple questions and then wait I want the good ones though go ahead I'm not reading it though well I did see the word God so I picked it sorry okay I love God ooh is this my favorite question wait how many how many how many as you want let me see which let me see that one The God one? Yeah. You want to save it? What if God were one of us? This is my favorite question in the whole bowl. But I'm going to save it for the very end. Stop that told me to pick that one. That's the one that I kept going back for.
1:19:05The last one I picked. But I want to hold it till the very end. You do like two or three on your own and then we'll do this one. And then we'll be good. Thank you, G. Oh, that's a good fucking one. Not a good fucking one. What is it? I'll read that one after this. What was the last internet rabbit hole? Oh, God, was that good? Damn. What was it? The last internet rabbit hole. Okay, so y 'all, in L.A., there's a place called Universal Studios. And in the fall, they do Halloween Horror Nights. And Halloween Horror Nights, they have haunted houses. They turn Universal into a spooky, ooky place. The Haunted Houses have been themed every year off of the big horror movies that have come out.
1:19:57They've done Us, the Jordan Peele. Last year they did Dia de los Muertos, which was fucking terrifying because a lot of those stories are fucking nightmare fuel. This year they're doing Sinners. Sinners. So they got not one, but two Michael B. Jordans in that bitch. talking about some welcome to like and it's not animatronics it's it's real men dressed as Michael B. Jordan that look like Michael B. Jordan so I've been just researching just like who these men are I've been finding them one by one um and just learning more about them I'm just curious I'm just a curious kitten or rabbit I should say I found one and I'm looking for the other one Okay, was the first one not, he didn't land?
1:20:49Listen, he landed. I found him. Okay. You know, he landed. But you know, I'm just like, are you in a relationship? Because if you are, no, you're not anymore. Because you mean to tell me you scaring bitches professionally? Yeah. Like, as Michael B. Jordan? Like, stop. The girls are like, they should be scared of me. That's what the girls are saying when they walk into the haunted house. Oh, they think we should be scared of them? No, baby. You think we're locked in with you? You're locked in with me. so anyway that was the last internet rabbit hole I went down because it's fucking hilarious to me um did you find the second one not yet I haven't found them we gotta find it I need my my IRL my private page they found the first one so they need to send me the next one y 'all will y 'all will watch this and y 'all let me know thank you IRL when I walk into when I walk into a room I want people to feel a high vibration i want people to be like oh what the fuck was that that was shonda my god on today this question if you were the leader of the world what was the first thing you would do okay the leader of the world is crazy because i know if i were the leader of the of America, I know what I would do.
1:22:06Answer it how you like. It could be America. This is... I'm gonna get cancelled again. Who cares? To be honest with you, I would destroy the Constitution. Who said that? I don't know. It wasn't even you. Who said that? It was not you. But hey, but hey. But you know that the founding fathers, the founding fathers or whoever these men were, they were in their 30s, right? Yeah. And they... said that every 25 or so years, there should be a new constitution. And nobody listened to them. And they were like, no, we're going to keep the same constitution because y 'all was on to something. It was written in 1787.
1:22:49No. Why the fuck are we still living by 1787 rules of 2026? Please tell me quickly. I have no answer. I don't know. And the amendments don't count. The amendments ain't amending. No. Start over. We need a new constitution because it's a new country. It's a new America. Who would write said constitution? Here's some challenge. Here's the challenge. Who? It's a good ass question. You know, I try to have a follow up. Have you looked into Benjamin Franklin's lore? Have you looked into what he was like when he was 35? Thomas Jefferson? So you're saying anyone would be better? Not a serial killer. So anyway.
1:23:30Yeah. look it up i didn't say it yeah they found the bodies in his backyard i didn't put him there um so we're gonna get a new constitution so you you know what yeah for all the people because the the the preamble is we the people in order to form a more perfect union and mind you i'm not gonna speak on something i don't know establish justice and secure domestic tranquility you tell me if the domestic is tranquil right now. Where's the tranquility? Hmm. Hello? I'm sending you to Washington. Come on, I'm ready. Do ordain and establish this constitution. Okay? Heard you. You answered the shit out of that question, Liz.
1:24:21So you said this is your favorite question. You gonna ask me or you want me to read it? Hmm. Let me think about this, how this is going to land. I had a couple more, but I know we're out of time, right? We're out of time. Let me read. Okay, no, you do you. You do you, boo. Let me do a couple of my in real life, and then you'll read this, and that'll be it. Okay. I enjoyed you so much today already. I'm having fun. Are you good? Yeah. Okay. In real life, what are you no longer available for? Huh? My God. Oh, shit. It's like there's a lot of answers just flying at me because I'm really, I'm not available for a lot of bullshit.
1:25:02I'm not available for people who take advantage of me. Like I've allowed people to take advantage of me for a long time. And when I say that, I mean literally like take free money from me, you know, because I love you. residually because I love you. So I have to stop doing that because I'm not getting my cup poured back into with just the basic things like love, protection, communication, respect. So that's one thing I have to just stop doing. The tap is off. The tap is off. um in real life what is what is your most toxic trait do you have one you have to well you know people like i just love too much like bitch but is that yours no it's one of them i'm not gonna lie i love too much and too hard and I'm blind in it.
1:26:13But I think I'm going to give you a juicy one because damn. Okay. Take your time, by the way. You don't have to rush. Toxic trait. I have a few. I have a few toxic traits. Like, I can be a little spicy.
1:26:29Your delivery is always good. You know what? Is this toxic, though, to be, like, moody? Is that toxic? I'm moody. Is that toxic or is that just human? Human. damn I put that in the humans I mean oh I think that I'm a bad texter I actually do believe I'm learning that I'm a bad texter I'm like oh shit maybe just text I don't I leave people on red and I don't respond to certain things but I respond in my head yeah I'm a cliche I'm like damn I'm just like on on the path like they would be like I responded in my head and I'd be like I don't believe you and i'm like actually yeah you're them now i responded to you in my head and i never responded to you in real life and now you think i'm mad at you but i'm i didn't realize yeah that's just a time time management thing are you sure i do think yeah no you don't think because don't justify my toxic okay you're right my toxic that is my toxic trait oh my god You're an enabler.
1:27:32You just helped me identify my toxic trait. I am an enabler. Why are you a Taurus? Capricorn. Oh, Earth. Okay, baby. But I make excuses before you can even make your own. I'm rich? Rich with love? With love. Yeah. And my toxic trait is that I am a. What'd you call me? An enabler. Enabler. Yeah, I think my toxic trait is I don't text back fast. I ignore texts. I outright ignore texts. If I don't feel like responding or if I feel like I responded in my head, I just won't respond. Terrible. It's not that bad. Oh my God. It's not that bad. Lock me up. Lock me up. Been bad. I've been bad.
1:28:24How is love? Where are you at with love these days, Lizzo? I just love. I love love. I'm just an open loving girl I love life I wake up every day in love with life I romanticize my shit I meant romantic love I am in love are you? I love that for you are you keeping it private? yes I am I know I don't know why I feel like you're not being truthful because it's complicated okay I know. I don't know what this means. But just know that I am in love. You are? Yeah. With yourself or with someone else? That's crazy. That's a really good question. The answer is yes. Okay.
1:29:25Well, good for you either way. Thank you so much. I needed that. All right. So here's my last question. It's my favorite question in the ball. If God were to text you right now, what would it say? Oh, you picked up your phone. Why would you? My God on today, you almost got me. The streak was one day since I've cried. You made me get teary eyed. No, I know. God. it would be today no don't do this i don't actually want to give you a real answer because it's going to hurt my heart to say it uh um god if he were to text me today oh
1:30:17oh you know what it's hard to answer this question in not a real way it's like i'm going to answer it in a real way. It's the realest question in the world. Yeah. God would text me. He would say the storm is over. Yeah. Storm is over now. I love that for you. Thank you. That's Lizzo in real life. I love that.

1:31:00Hey, it's Kelly Rowland. You may not know this, but I have eczema. So I get how it can steal your time. But why let eczema take over when you can talk to your doctor about EBCLIS? EBCLIS, Lubrikizumab LBKZ, a 250 milligram per two milliliter injection is a prescription medicine used to treat adults and children 12 years of age and older who weigh at least 88 pounds or 40 kilograms with moderate to severe eczema. Also called atopic dermatitis that is not well controlled with prescription therapies used on the skin or topicals or who cannot use topical therapies. EBCLIS can be used with or without topical corticosteroids.
1:31:34Don't use if you are allergic to EBCLIS. Allergic reactions can occur that can be severe. Eye problems can occur. Tell your doctor if you have new or worsening eye problems. You should not receive a live vaccine when treated with EBCLIS. Before starting EBCLIS, tell your doctor if you have a parasitic infection. Paid partnership with Lilly. Respect your time.
