In short
DJ Khaled reflects on turning 50 and the “We The Best” legacy, then shifts into community giving and music/DJ culture.
Guests
Fat Joe (Joe Crack), Reggie Sanders (MJ’s entertainment marketing exec for ~25 years; sneaker/brand liaison), and Bryson DeChambeau (pro golfer and YouTube-driven golf educator).
Key claims
Khaled says his 50th birthday party was the best in 10 years and that he gets annual physicals; he compares his health to a “Rolls Royce” from his doctor and credits diabetes management. He recounts Jay-Z gifting him a BMW M3 as a teen, and tells sneaker/Rolex stories via Reggie Sanders (e.g., Mark Wahlberg repeatedly refusing a specific “green” sneaker).
Notable examples
Khaled’s “We The Best Foundation” third annual DJ Khaled Golf Classic for kids; DeChambeau’s mission to inspire and educate youth through YouTube; Khaled’s top “cut-up” records (e.g., “All I Need,” “Rock the Bells,” “Peter Piper,” “Apache,” “Rebel Without a Pause”).

4:00We're always helping the people, DJ Khaled. You're always giving back. This golf event is something legendary. Birthday. First birthday. We got to give him his birthday. Man, you know, listen. Y 'all didn't tell me. Oh, wow. You didn't tell me. You didn't tell me how beautiful turning 50 is. Let me tell you, I never thought about age in my life, kids cry. I never thought about age till I turned 50. That's right. So when I was 41, 47, 27, I never thought of age ever till I turned 50. And when I turned 50, I went and got my physical. I do a physical every year. But I went and got my physical, my blood work, and I walked in there.
4:47I said, I wrote with God. We blessed. And everything came out so beautiful. So I was inspired from that day, right? But what I loved is that this is just the beginning. Cruz. And I did my research crack about, look at you, after you turn 50. And. You know, he calls me, right? We got the same. Hold on, let me tell you something. We got the same doctor. Right? You know I've been diabetic since I'm young. It's for going to the doctor. Yeah. The bitches don't go to the doctor. You got to go to the doctor. Let me tell you something. We got the same doctor. Well, I ain't that much clapped. You see, I ain't that much clapped.
5:19Let me tell you. Let me tell you, Jada. Let me tell you going to the doctor. So I'm diabetic since I'm 12 years old. So I got to watch everything. That's why, you know, water, diet, whatever. So I tell a doc one day, because he's Khaled's doctor. I see your doctor. How's Khaled doing? You know, I know Dr. Kempch. He said, man, that man's so healthy, he just got a little junk in his trunk. A little junk in his trunk? He got a little junk in his trunk. Yo! The doc said, I'm a Rolls Royce. I said, compare it to the clothes. Yo! I said, he said you're a Rolls Royce Phantom, long barrel. Long wheel barrel.
5:59This is the time. No, not yet. Not yet. Not yet. Not yet. All right. Not yet. Not yet? Not yet. Listen, let me tell you something. Cali calls me the other day, FaceTimed me. He said, guess what, man? I said, what? He said, I did the physical. The whole thing. Yeah, that machine. Everything you could do. The machine, this, this, that. Guess what? He said, guess what? They say I'm healthy. I said, this guy's young. No, no, I told the guy that you were happy. I said, can I use the word perfect? No, no, that's what he was saying. I told him, I'm good. I rode with God when I walked in. But you know, we do every year to make sure you got to tweak something.
6:41You know when you get a haircut, you got to get it lined up. Do we need to tweak something? You're a Rolls Royce. You're perfect. The doctor told me a Rolls Royce. No, no, I told him. I'm telling you. Listen. He called me bragging. I looked at him. I was so happy for him. I hung up. I said, man, I got to get my shit together. Yo, listen, not to change the subject. Not to change the subject. That G Herbo, when you had G Herbo, when he was playing that song, What song, that one? You see me? All the soldiers. When, when, when, when - When, uh, when Smoke died, yeah, All the soldiers - Yeah. ...Smoke died, aint nothing for us.
7:16No, look, when I - Nah, you know, I hit him. Nah, no, I post the clip. King Von died. It aint nothing for us. I talk about that song, it was just so hard. Yeah, shit was a little hard. That song was a little hard. That's one of the most legendary songs I heard from his new era. It's one of the most legendary songs I heard. That felt like - I ain't have nothing left for shit. You know what I'm saying? The reason why I'm saying that, I love y 'all breaking records on the show like that. Come say hi. Come on. Asad, my son. What's up, baby? Everybody, my son, Asad. Alam, come here. You're fired, man.
7:46You got to throw the flag in your hand, Asad. Yeah, just throw it up. So my son is going to be an NBA player. Alam, you want to play NBA too? Yeah. He's going to be an NBA player too. Come over here. Look at my boys. This is who I do it for. Joe and Jada show this who I do it for. They asked me. You get the yellow. They asked me. And I don't do this with everybody. But they asked me, the news people said, well, who's DJ Khaled? I said, well, he's exactly who you see. He's a family man. He's a man that works hard. He provides for the community. But let me tell you, this is like Joe and Jada, okay?
8:25This guy a little more like Jada, right? Asad, cool, laid back, minds his business. This guy, he goes to the U. All right, so he goes to the University of Miami. You know they winning. He goes to the game. They go to the game. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So Nicole says, hey, Alam, how you like the game? He said, ma, I like it, but these ain't like the Miami Heat. Yeah, yeah. Only one. Bro, this guy here, there's always one ready to blow the bag. Nah, he with the front row, man. He's going to blow the bag. Asad, make sure he don't spend all the money. You hear me? Asad is like, him? He blowing the bag. Asad don't make sure he don't spend all the money, right?
9:0615 years, y 'all gonna know the Cali kids out here in Miami. That's right. He not about to play with them. Speaking of my beautiful boys, my new album called Alam of God, this is Alam. And, you know, I made a beautiful album called Father of Asad, this is Alam. And, you know what I'm saying, we coming with that album in 2026. Are you ready for your album, Alam? That's right. Reggie, let me ask you a question. Have you ever done an interview like this? Well, it's not. We just... Let him know who Reggie Sanders is. Ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen. Give me some stories. Hold on, hold on.
9:38Ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen. Not like this. This is one of the most sought-out individuals. He's almost like he's hiding. This right now is special. Y 'all don't get... Y 'all don't get... You get to see him sitting on the couch. This is Reg that you know. Worldwide West. Anybody's naked for Reggie Sanders. Everybody. Y 'all look funny. It's to the point I can't tag him. I got to tag somebody else. The fake Reg. Oh, at Jumpman23. They looking for Reg. Uncle Reg. He took care of anybody. Oh, man. When you think of the Jordan brand. There ain't no Fat Joe collection without Reg. My sneaker room don't exist without Reg.
10:20Yo, Reggie, put me in the game. Put everybody in the game. Yo, listen. Yo, Reg, man, thanks for sitting down with us because we know you don't do this for nobody. No. Tell him a little bit. Reg, tell him what he does. Nah, a little bit. I've been working for MJ for about 25 years, entertainment marketing. I feel like these three souls on this couch raised me in this business. They taught me business. Joe used to call me once a month and says, you know everybody hates you. Remember that? Because you're taking care of me. The players was mad at you. You was taking care of me so crazy. NBA players were like, yo, how you got my shoe in a different color before this shit come out?
11:02I'm like, we got Reggie hot. Last night I saw Jay Bobbin, that's one of your favorite guys. You see what I did, right? I did a crack moment. You had the movie. No, I didn't get the crack. Birthday movie. Birthday movie. You didn't call me to see what I did? Birthday movie. Tell him what I did. Come on. That was a Joey crack move. That was a Joey crack move. That totally was. I had an event where we have to actually pay light gas and Section 8. Section 8. We are Section 8. We got to pay the bills. I had the bills. They hit me up. Yo, Khaled, don't see you. Khaled want to know where you at. Khaled this.
11:38I'm like, yo, bro, I got to get the back, right? Yes. Shout out Hard Rock Betts. My guy's over there. So I'm looking at the gram. I said, this guy got the Jay Bavins exclusive. So you know what I did? I bum-rushed Jay Balvin in one section. I went up to his section. He was like, oh, bite side this. I said, yo, I need them sneakers, man. He was like, yeah, Joe, you know, it was a size nine. I said, yo, I need them sneakers. He said, you did come to my house and give me your sneakers when it came out. He said, I'll get them for you, Joe. But, you know, sometimes, who was the hardest one? The hardest one was the Mark Wahlbergs.
12:17Yeah. Mark Wahlberg told Reggie Sanders 36 times, give him the sneakers. and they wouldn't give me the sneaker. Oh, the green one? The green one. The Wahlberg. The green four. I didn't get the green one. I didn't get the green one. Yo, I think I signed him with Mark Wahlberg. Yo, Reg. At the pool. Reg, give that Joe the sneaker. I'm like, yo, Reg. True story. Mark Wahlberg. He's here. You was at his house. You was at his house standing out by the pool. True story. Yo, that's the craziest shit. But what is the illest, you know, sneaker? Was it Eminem at the Super Bowl? What was the illest sneaker that y 'all had to do when you was like, oh, no, I don't know if I can get this done.
13:01This is too crazy. Eminem, you could get it done because it was Eminem. Might have been like a Wahlburger because nobody understood, like, what we were doing. We were storytelling a little bit. That Wahlburgers, green logo, Mark and I. I respect you so much. A man came, a hustler, came to my store every day. Yo, Nicole, happy birthday. Yo, listen. The man came every day. He said, yo, I got$50 ,000 for them Wahlburgers. I said, nah, brother. Came the next day, yo, I got$60 ,000. This shit went up to like$80 ,000,$90 ,000. He's like, yo, I got 90. Showed the duck who yonder. I need those warburgers.
13:49I said, it took too long, and it was so hard to get these. I'm going to get in trouble. I'm not doing this. You ever had a bag that was so good to be true, but you were like, yo, I'm going to get in trouble behind this bag? All money ain't good money. Nah, man. They got to show me this. Listen, I go to the Rolex store, right? A lot of my shit is more like, I want it, so I got to pay double, triple for it. A lot of my shit is like, shit, I got to pay a lot. But one Rolex called me and said, yo, we got one for you. You know my son Joey's autistic. So they gave me the autism joint. Right? I swear to God, you know we do.
14:31We going to Graham like quick. Yeah, this is an oldie but goodie, bro. Ah, this is an oldie but goodie. Nice. But I take the picture within seconds. Somebody hits me up, yo, I got$400 for that watch. I'm not... Second. I haven't even paid. Second. I'm in Rolex. I have not left the store. Within seconds, they're like, yo, I got$400 for that. A real buyer. Wow. Right? So I look at it like this. The minute the man tells me I got$400, he said, you're one of nine people with the watch. Michael Jordan and Michael Warburg and Sylvester Stallone at this and now Fat Joe. I said, motherfucker, if I say, why I always get some shit I can't sell?
15:15God damn it. I'm looking at the 400 and they're like, excuse my language. That's all, love. That's all, love. I didn't know. I saw it. That's when you throw the flag. You gotta throw the flag. Throw the flag. Throw the flag. Throw the flag. Throw the flag. Throw the flag. Throw the flag too. Throw the flag too. Throw the flag too, love. Yo, Khaled. Man, look, I just want to... I'm proud of... No. All right. No. I'm not saying... No. I'm not saying that on this show today. I'm proud of you. Last show, I couldn't say... No, no. I'm not saying that today. Hold on. I want you to say so. No. No. I want to tell you that we take life for granted.
15:51And last night when I walked in your party, I realized, damn, my brother really turned 50 years old. And that right there is the biggest blessing in the world. I was like messed up because I was like, we know each other since we 19. Yes. The man is 50 years old. How did that feel to you? And bro, let me tell you something. That was the best party I've been to in 10 years. Long time. A long time. It turned off the music. We don't want to mention the party was still crazy. So look. Ain't nothing like that party. It turned off the music. So let me tell you. It turned off the music. and it's still going.
16:31Hold the thought. You know when this shit gets serious. Cameras, you ready? Y 'all rolling? When I pulled up, the old guy that's like 90 years old that be wearing the crocodile biker jackets to all the fucking episodes. What's his name? The NBA games. James something. Who's the guy with all the crocodiles? James Goldstein. When I got there, I said, oh, shit, that's the guy. No! He was walking through like this. He's like 90 years old. And he always got the alligator jacket. What? He had a turquoise and white. When I seen him, I said, oh, this is going to be a different night. Legendary. This is going to be legendary.
17:10I got to tell you this story. So I turned 50, right? When I was like 15, 16 years old. You know, if you go back into a classic Joe crack or a classic Jada kiss or a classic Jay-Z and you go back when they were a teenager, we all had that one car. Like, what was your first car? Like, your first car? What was your first car that you... How about I ain't fit in it? No, no, your first nice vibe. Like, when you was hustling. My first one was a Pima 525. What about yours, kids? COK. Mercedes AMG. So, look, I got a picture when I was like 15, 16 years old and it's me sitting, you know, at a BMW M3, red M3.
17:55the man Lenny S and Jay-Z bought me a BMW M3, pulled it up to my house. You know what I'm saying? The same year that I had. You know what I'm saying? I'm going to post the pictures tomorrow. Orlando. No, let me tell you. Miami and that joint all the time. The Sea Rock, like, you know, where you started. The mud from the... You know what I'm saying? That car was... It put a tear in my eye because it reminded me where and where we at now and look at me with my kids. Man, we threw the first temple. DJ Khaled Burke, that party is a descendant, it's a residue from the temple. South Bronx, a base, South Beach.
18:39Me and him ran down the block with a G. We was like, yo, we made a G. Yo, we made a G. We was coming to shit up, eating shit like, yo, it's a thousand dollars. Yo, check this out. No, but that's what I'm saying. It brought me back to remind me to see how far you've come. You know what I'm saying? You know, it could be a record. It could be a sneak. It's a moment in your life that you always look back at. And I have this picture that I'm going to post, and I'm going to show you all. It was crazy. It really just, like, look at me. I'm a father with two kids. I'm sitting here with Jadakiss and Joey Cracker Reggie.
19:13I love you, but I got to take my children back to school. Oh, they got to go to school, Nicole. Yes. Man, you guys are cheating. That was fine. They call it Breakdown. Have a good day. Shout out to the guys. Give me one. Asshad, your hat. Bow. Asshad, your hat. It's right here. Right here. It's that one with you. I love you, you hear me? All right. Yo, listen, Callum, it's a beautiful thing. The foundation gives back to the community. Yes. Tell us some of the things you do, because you know you do a lot. Yo. No! How about you let him tell us? No! No! No! This sad joke, give out the turkeys. He's in the middle of the street giving out the turkeys.
19:57He's showing. Khaled does a lot that he don't show. I'm talking about hundreds of hundreds, maybe millions of dollars that he gives back places. Just because he don't say it, he's looking out for the people. and a lot of times I be like yo Caleb why you don't say that you did this and this and that or yo Caleb where you you know and but he's constantly have a big heart and giving back and that's what this whole thing's about right this is what it's about you're saying we the best foundation um this is the third annual golf classic you know it's about uplifting our communities it's also about supporting other foundations and giving back and bringing awareness to golf but i couldn't do this event without reggie and michael jordan you're saying so it's we the best foundation presenting by brand jordan um and and i'm beyond grateful you're saying to be able to partner up with beautiful people and to give back especially my home you know i'm saying 305 day county and not even just that for all of us to come together and unify like this it it just people see this on the instagram like look all the brothers and sisters coming together but we did this for a great cause for the kids.
21:07I've never been to something. You know, I'm very competitive. The first day we did the podcast, Jada's looking at me. I start to beef with all the podcasting, letting y 'all know we here. Like, yo, y 'all want the smoke? Let's go. Who won it? Everybody fell back. Joe, congratulations. We don't want the smoke. They threw out the teepee because what I know is competent. You know, you knew immediately. Oh, man, Joe ready to shoot the place. But you know how I feel, not because you're all my brothers, and I said it on the interview. It's the number one show. Number one show. It was the number one show before it was a show.
21:44I told you on the last time I was here, it's the number one show. And guess what? Thank you. Because everybody, nobody can hate on this show. You know what I'm saying? There's no hate here. We don't tear people down. No. But nobody can hate. Even the people that tear down and hate, they can't hate this show. No, they can't. They can't, no, but I'm saying that's the blessing. And I want y 'all to know that y 'all got this beautiful blessing and this platform that y 'all doing and everybody talking about y 'all. I'm talking about everywhere I go, they talking about your show. Yeah. And they praising it and they showing it love.
22:17And like I said, man, you know, y 'all repping hip hop so beautifully from the start to now. You know what I'm saying? Y 'all covering it from the start to now. Yo, give me five, your five favorite records to cut back in the days when you were just a cut. You know, he's a cheater, too. He used to battle DJs and be like, Joe, 10 minutes, walk in the club, grab the mic, start ripping the shit down. So he's having a battle. Both of y 'all can put it in the air. He'll throw Flojo or some shit on the car. Flojo, you got it. The DJs is looking like, Jesus. Yeah, we ain't playing. That guy ain't playing with these people.
22:52We ain't playing. Five of your favorite records. I'll give you one. Mary and Method Man, All I Need. I used to love. I've never been to a DJ Khaled party. that you ain't destroyed at. 25:22I call it It's Okay to Show Love. It's okay to show love, everybody. It's okay to be happy. It's okay to show love. That's what that's called. What's this watch here? Because I chased these people for 10 years. They finally sold it to me. That's the white one. They sold them with the MOP dial. Yeah, special. Nah, special. They wouldn't sell me this shit for like 10 years. The guy, like, you know, guys, man, even in the sneaker business and all that, like, they act like they're selling. And then when you buy it, like, okay, what is it, 10 ,000? Here you go. And then they act like they don't want to sell it.
25:55No, they don't want to sell it. They actually ass bet. They're like, these people, I chased them 10 years to buy this watch. They finally, they gave it, like, with a tear. No, I've never seen no shit. I go to a sneaker show. The kid sells me some M &Ms,$2 ,500. Cashed him on the right shorty, this, this, that. He came back like a half an hour later. He started crying, yo, this. I said, bro, that shit gone. Done deal. That's in the back. Done deal. Yeah, but hold on, hold on, hold on. Yeah, I already know. That shit in the back of the wagon. It's gone. This legend there, Joe and Jada on the golf course?

26:30On the golf course. We on the green. Who doing that? Look what we got, man. Look what we got. The finger-licking girl. Oh, man. Wow. Isn't that right? He's happy now. He's happy. E-class. E-class. What's up, E-class? Shout out to the finger-licking, man. Shout out to Freezy. Came through. What's on a Freezy, E-class? What? Freezy. It's the magic. We did lean back in this house, in the basement. Yes. Jerusalem. We did lean back in my house in the studio called Jerusalem. You know, Joe got two verses on that. Really? Yeah, he had two verses on that. I got two on that. I had three. Yeah, three verses.
27:12And then Remy Ma came in the crib, jumped in the studio, told the engineer, I heard Joe cook something crazy, pull it up, take one of those verses off. Who that doesn't verse? Never they come, let's go. I was there, I witnessed it all. And I was there when he made the beat with Scott.

That's in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia. Once again back from the DJ Khaled Golf Classic. Joe Crack the Dawn, DJ Khaled. Yes, yes. Your boy Jada. And the legendary. Legendary. Listen, Bryson DeChambeau, I'm not speaking. I want you to know, not only is he one of the best golfers in the world, right? On the golf cart, we was driving up here and he was telling me something that really touched my heart, what I represent. We're talking about giving back to kids, to youth.
29:38And I was telling him how much I love golf. And when I show people I play golf, I notice, you know, it's spreading. You know what I'm saying? And more people want to play golf. And the kids, you know, might not know where to go to play golf or golf courses or stuff like that. And I want them to come. And I've been blessed to be able to help that, bring more awareness. But explain to people what you do, besides as a pro golfer, what's the message that you put out? I mean, look, I obviously play professional golf for living. But there's only so much you can do for the rest of your golf, right? And I have an obligation and responsibility to inspire a bunch of kids, educate a bunch of kids.
30:16and entertain as well. And from that, YouTube came about. YouTube was a big platform that allowed us to grow the game more than I ever thought I could professionally develop. Won two majors, won a bunch of tour events, won live events, I've done everything. But the most rewarding thing that I've ever felt is looking a kid in the eye, seeing them glow and go, oh my gosh, I get to see you, meet you. And I loved your 50s. It wasn't about like a professional win. It was really about the entertainment piece that I did on YouTube just a little bit of golf. And seeing that change, seeing how it impacts a kid's life, dude, that is why I play golf now.
30:53I love professional golf. I always play it, but it is so amazing. It's like this movie. I saw a movie about these kids golfing and the guy invested in them. You ever seen that movie on Netflix? What's it called? Jamie, what's it called? That movie with the golfing with the kids. There's a couple different ones. Long Mile or something? I don't know. Jamie! What's the movie with the kids about golfing? I hope she knows. Put it on the spot. I had a glass something. Damn, Jamie, come on. The Long Game. The Long Game. About some underprivileged kids and they learn how to... Oh, golf. That was an amazing movie.
31:34Yeah, it was. There's a Mexican-American high school caddies in the 1950s barred from playing an all-white country club and eventually formed their own team to win the state championship. Pretty cool. This is what we're talking about. Let me ask you a question because I got you for limited time. You good. Do you have a watch? Yeah, you know, Bubba got a watch. I do. I have it in my backpack in the car. Your own personalized watch? No. Are we going to be able to buy these things? They're Rolexes. I partner with Rolex. Yes. How can I purchase one of your watches? One of my watches. Well, we can do a deal if you want to talk about it.
32:06I want it. I want it. If it's your watch and it's your personalized watch, let's do the business. I don't care. Whatever. You know, we do business. You know how that go. Absolutely. But I can't wait to wear it. And I thank you for coming out here, supporting hip-hop, supporting DJ Khaled. All right, what does DJ Khaled mean to you and the golf community when you see the passion and the love he has to go? One day you picked up Instagram and you said, Khaled trying to golf? Well, I thought it was bridging platforms, you know, cross-bridging different avenues of life and hip-hop and golf sport community that has never been connected before.
32:45And he's bridging that gap right now, which is really inspirational. All of us YouTube creators are like, we got to go film with him. We got to do it. And he did some stuff with Grant. That was awesome. And seeing what he was doing for the game of golf and sports in general, it's honestly inspirational. And I got to thank you for that. Thank you, brother. You know what's crazy? I went to a golf store to buy some golf clothes, and the whole store knew I was coming to the DJ Khaled. They were like, yo, Fat Joe, he's in here for the day. He's definitely going to the Khaled joint. That's my hip-hop.
33:17They knew he wasn't playing, though. They know I'm not playing. I'm eating whatever they sent over. You know what I'm saying? We got Trill Burger. We got Brooklyn Chop-Obs. No Glizzies today. Yo, Bryson, what's your favorite hip-hop artist? I mean, I mean, you're right here. So I got to say you obviously. Right. But that is right. I mean, look, if I was to say like, I used to listen to Will Smith back in the day. Love I love. Welcome to Miami. All right. Yeah.
33:52That's right. So I like a bit of those Drake's obviously in his own right and what he does for. Oh, it was great. Everything. I mean, I just love it. I've listened to my brother used to listen to a bunch growing up and I was just invested in it from a young age because of my brother. So listen to God bless you. Thanks for sitting with us. Appreciate it. Joe and Jada. That ain't this. This ain't that. It's cracking kiss. You know it. Another one.
