1:24We'll be right back. Fire data connection. Data plan sold separately. 5G where available. You're the best field operative I've ever had. You were born for it. In 1981, the embassy went down. We go 25 million in the wall. Where? Hotel Tehran. This is bad. Like run for the hills, man. Do it now. I don't have the money, but I've got something more valuable. You shall know the truth. The truth? The Fix, now playing in theaters Huh? You would have lost the Blackout game though You think so? Yeah, Donovan, talk to this shit You think I would have lost? Allen Iverson I like it Stephon Mulberry Carmelo Anthony I don't think I was born for that But I heard about that And obviously I've heard What you heard?
2:16How it was supposed to happen You know what I mean? I think you shut the power up I say all the I fuck with you I fuck with you I fuck with you I fuck with you I fuck with you
2:39Yo, what's up, y 'all? This your boy, Joe Crack the Dawn. You know who it is, your boy Jada. You know what it is, the Joe and Jada show. Every show legendary. Every show iconic. And we continue, continuously both hands on the esophagus. Not that much air. Hospice. Just going through all things like that. Trickling down. If you're running down the street, we're throwing all you on the street so you can trip. You know what I mean? Might slip. But we didn't even hear nor that. When you think of today's guest, you think of one of the coldest guards in the league. Sheesh. A New York kid who had to take his talents out west became a star in Utah.
3:29Sheesh. Then came to Cleveland and turned into the face of the franchise. Seven-time All-Star, All-NBA, 70-point bangers, big playoff moments, and every summer New York fans start asking the same question. How did the Knicks let this one get away? This is about pressure, leadership, family, loyalty, and what it really means when the whole basketball world is trying to tell you a story for you. Give it up for one of the best in the game right now, Donovan Spider Mitchell. I appreciate you. I appreciate you. You know what I mean? First of all, I should have been in that wedding. I've seen a lot of guys you don't actually like at your wedding and your brother what am I doing seeing a lot of people he don't like at his wedding yeah I mean them guys ain't this man like me like are you kidding me like are you nuts I'm looking at it I said damn man I dropped a little tear when I ain't seen myself there I dropped one like a tear joy I was happy and sad I was happy for him.
4:49I'm happy you found love, man. I'm happy y 'all. I appreciate it. You found such a beautiful wife, this fucking incredible, talented, and y 'all found a way to, at a young age, say, yo, we gonna make this shit for real. What kind of decision was that for you? Man, it wasn't no decision. It was easy. It was easy. It was easy. Y 'all wanna marry you? Yeah, like it was the first date. You know what I mean? No, you knew. I knew off rip within an hour. You know what I mean? And the only reason why I tell her, I tell her sometimes why it took so long is because I had to become a man in my own right before you, you know, marry someone, right?
5:30You can't just go marry someone if you're not, like, you know, learn how to be a grown man. You know, I'm in a grown business at a young age, but, like, you still got to learn and figure stuff out. And it's hard. You know, it's not easy. And it's hard to pick a wife 2026. it's hard to trust somebody when you're so rich because you're already rich. You're not at that. Let's see what I'm going to do. You're a big boy in the pockets. So it's hard to be like, when you hear all these tragic stories for you to be like, all right, fuck it. I'm going to get married. So I know, you know, she understands that.
6:09And being around her made it so easy. And I mean, like y 'all know what she does. Y 'all know how talented she is. is. She's man cool. She's dope. She's dope. And it was like I said within the first date. Like a best friend type. Best friend. You know, Caleb met his wife. Caleb met his wife and he said, yo, I need you to meet somebody. And I went and met her and the first second before I even spoke he was like, yo, this is my wife. The second day he met her, he was like, yo, this is my wife. And I think a guy and a girl know when they meet each other and they be like, yo, this is my soulmate. That's who I'm running with.
6:46That's when I knew my security guard that night. When I got in the car, we both went our separate ways. He was like, bro, you acting real different. And when he told me that, when he told me that, I was like, all right, like, you know what I mean? Like, he... He said, yo, you acting different? I never seen it like this before. He seen it. Seen it like that. Like that. Like that. That's fucking crazy, man. But I do apologize for y 'all not being in the wedding. I completely... I told crack all over the place Donovan I'm your guy you know Donovan I'm your guy what was the early years of Utah like what was you doing video game I ain't gonna lie nah I just got drafted I'm a millionaire I'm not in my brain when I tell the story at the time I didn't think I was gonna be in the league I didn't think I was gonna be playing basketball in the NBA I thought I was gonna be a baseball player so within four years my life went from high school baseball to now you an NBA player like that.
7:43So like my first few years in Utah, I'm playing like a NBA 2K, my 2K career. Like, you know, you get drafted. I'm like, I'm vibing. Like, I'm just having a great time and we ended up winning the playoffs better than anybody expected. So like I'm riding a high and we had a great time, man. And obviously we didn't work out, but that time in Utah was definitely dope. It was an experience I'll never forget just because I didn't expect none of that to happen. Like, you know what I mean? Like coming up, growing up, this wasn't the plan. Also a great guy, the owner of the Utah team. Ryan Smith. Man, that guy's a great guy.
8:15I like Ryan. What kind of changes you doing this year so that you can win the championship? At the end of the day, Donovan Mitchell, he got to win a championship. Got to. That's the goal. That's why we do what we do. For me, I mean, I think the biggest thing is, like, Harry Wright talks about the conference finals. We made it great, but, like, we still fell short of the ultimate goal, right? Obviously, beating y 'all to get to that point. We failed that. So for me and for the group, it's not even just for me, right? But for the group, using that experience and saying, all right, cool, we know what it takes.
8:46You can only train but so far, right? Like I use y 'all, I use Indiana as an example. They get there, now they know, boom, we need to do this. Maybe it's you train different, you eat different, sleep different, lift different, whatever it is for each player. It's all different. So we as a team have been together a lot this summer, just getting ready for the season coming up. and then just trying to, you know, make sure your body's in the right shape for when that time comes. And I'm excited for this year. I'm excited for a lot of guys this year. Any new players on the team? Yeah, we just got Peyton Watson.
9:17For sure, I thought LeBron was the whole Cleveland. By the way, if you ain't know, I'm in the crowd. They swore LeBron was coming over there. Yeah, I mean. Like the crowd. Every day, seed holder was like, yo, Bron is coming. You see? Yeah. They were shocked out there. I had no clue. Like, you know what I mean? I just go by what the world saw. He was golfing in Cleveland. So, I mean, yeah, you think about it, but I had no idea. Did you reach out? Yeah, I reached out. You know what I mean? Obviously, when you got a player like that, you obviously want to at least make an attempt. You know what I'm saying?
9:50You're not just going to be like, nah, you know what I mean? There's still respect there. Everybody definitely thought, especially in Cleveland, especially when you get the only championship in the city, like, you got to, and it's LeBron James. But, you know, I thought he was. I thought it was us or go in the state, to be honest. That's what I thought. I thought the same thing. You know, they got a team in Philly. They got a team locked in in Philly. Shout out to them. I also thought he would have been, the East got dangerous. It is. It's nice. It's stretching. Everybody, like, retooled. Everybody, everybody's going to be good.
10:22Philly, Atlanta, Miami. Miami's Atlanta. Austin, Detroit, us. My favorite teams in the East that's young is Orlando and Atlanta. Atlanta's a sleeper Atlanta's a sleeper on people they're not a sleeper, they're taller, they're lengthier than everybody, they're really really, really, really good Orlando too I like the, I wish home boys a Nick what's his name, Pajaro Pajaro's good, that boy's good his name right? Bancaro? she was close Latin names messed up no, his not shit, it's not no Latin his shit like Portuguese Portuguese is some shit. Pongaro? We never heard of that shit. Pongaro. Pongaro.
11:12It's not Pongaro? Pongaro. Pongaro. Who got the perfect pronunciation? Pongaro. Pongaro? Is he Latino? Is he Latino? What the fuck? He could be Portuguese or some other shit. I don't know. He Spanish? I can't believe. Pongaro. And in this show, I got to watch what I say. The other day, I'm walking out to St. Weegis. I see your man, Ben Simmons. You know, I called him a bum, a flopper of all floppers on here. Man, come on. I got my sandals on my chancletas and walk up on me. You're like, yo, I'm in suntan mode. I got the suntan spray. Sandals, I said, I got to fight this seven foot nigga, man, with chancletas on me.
11:58He said, yo, it's me, the flopper. I said, true. I say, you got 120 amps. I say, you did good for yourself, brother. You got the bag. Yes. He's like, yeah, I'm coming back. He's like, all right, my man. I don't know what to tell you. They say he's coming back. They say he's coming back. He was nice. I don't know what happened to him, what the pressure was. He did not deliver, brother. I'm very, very sorry. This happens all the time. God bless him. I wish him the best. You know what I'm saying? What you want me to do? on the number one flop. That was crazy. Well, he came up to me. I would too. You said, yo.
12:45The number one. I'm the number one. What you call that shit where they don't make it? Bus. Bus. That's crazy. That's crazy. He made an all-star team all NBA defensive team. Yeah. You're the boss if you did all that. He made 120 M's. Made all NBA. You know any buses that made it all-star? Worse. I don't know about a bust to be an all-star, but what's my man Greg Oden, he broke his kneecap two times in a row. That's not a bust, though. That's injury. You can't say, like, you can't say bust. No, you can't. If he get hurt, if he get hurt. If you take your number one draft, then he gets hurt. I don't want nobody to get hurt.
13:23I'm not trying to diss him. God forbid anybody gets hurt and they get a high pick. That's not their fault. If you would have drafted him, if you were a fan of Miami Heat you draft him and he gets hurt the first game come back and get hurt the next game that's on him retire that's on him you lost your first pick right but that's not that's not his fault all about Bust his name is Frankie Aquina from France oh my god that ain't his name for once chill chill on Frank Frankie Aquina yo chill on Frank man yo Chris I quit the show right now what I will quit Joe and Jada. Let me ask you a question right now.
14:07Frankie Akina, nigga? That ain't his name. Frankie, what's his name? I don't know how to say it. I'm not going to say that. Why? Michael, that ain't his name. You want him? That's his name. That's his name. You want him? That's his name. Frank Nick Elena? That's his name. That's his name. Chill on, Frank. Chill on, Frank. That's my dog. Chill on, Frank. Chill on, Frank. That's my dog. You're like a nice job. That's my dog. Great kid. Shout out to Frank, man. He's like a nice guy. I'm not saying it. Frank's got some of the greatest players in the world. What's Jordan and them coach things? What's my man?
14:43He's picked Frank. Phil picked Frank. Phil fucked up two times. Oh, man. He got my man. Did Melo wrong. Not Melo wrong. He got your man. What's the white boy? Phil put Melo back. Don't you say Chris Stapps. Phil did Melo back. You're not talking about Chris Stapps. I like Chris. How about I said, Chris, come on now. He made Jeremy Lin. Phil created Jeremy Lin. No. No, Phil created Lin Sanity. I ain't got no more flags. With Melo, he shitting on Melo. Well, Lin Sanity was a good time for New York. When you news every game forever. I need my flag. You got a guy like, you didn't like Lin Sanity? I liked him.
15:21I didn't think he was a better. I didn't think he was ready to control the Metro. No, he ain't better than Melo. Yeah, he was good. He wasn't ready to. I need my flag. No, he ain't better than mellow. You ready to put everything on his shoulders at the two games? No, no, no, no, no. No, he had like a 10-game run, a 13. Lin Sanity was a great time. I was a kid. I was a kid for that. I was a kid for that. You seen him lighting him up every day, right? That shit was like magic. You know me, I'm a fake basketball player. So what is he? Huh? What is he? Oh, no, he ain't a boss. Lin Sanity? Yeah. Oh, no, no.
15:56He did just fine. We never expected him. For what, though? 10 games? He wasn't the number one pick, bro. That's fair. That's fair. No one expected him to do that. Come on, B. Come on. You right. You over here, the Knicks. We struggling. We don't gave away all our picks. We finally get a pick. The niggas go, and from Hong Kong's Mongolian, Frank Alatullo. Like, yo, get the fuck. Yo. I didn't get the first game. I seen niggas dusting that nigga like this. he went that way I was like oh no they was bobbleheading that nigga the first nigga was like he ain't no I see yo what is this shout out my dog Frank I don't co-sign none of this keep that he ain't no he no I ain't with it what does last year's season tell you about the camp ceiling I think we got really potential to win the whole thing like I told you I think the biggest thing for us is taking what we learn wearing it understand like yeah we failed but in a lot of areas we didn't fail we failed with an ultimate goal but at the end of the day we made it to the conference finals okay now what?
17:14You feel me? Now what? We're not going to just sit here and be like yeah we hyped we made it out and we made it and we got swept so now how do we respond to that? You know what I'm saying? Kiss and Well, the first thing you said, you scared me. You're on the right way to winning the chip. You said this summer we spent time together. When a team becomes brotherhood, behind the scenes. Fuck basketball. When you're eating dinner together, watching a movie together, talking shit together. We was just in Phoenix for James' birthday, like as a group. Like, you know, that's the biggest thing. That's a problem for me.
17:46Because I know you know I win chips. I'm a legendary coach. This guy I don't understand. What's your record? I'm 39-1. You know I coached two NBA All-Star games and they banned me because it's not entertaining. I win by 40-50 points every time I coached. You would have lost that blackout game though. You would have lost the blackout game though. You think so? You think I would have lost? Allen Iverson? Stephon Mulberry? Carmelo Anthony? It was disgusting what I had out there. I'm just saying. The only way they would have lost I was born for that. I don't think I was born for that, but I heard about that.
18:26And obviously I've heard. What you heard? The story of how it was supposed to happen. You know what I mean? I think you shut the power up. I say all that. I fuck with you. I fuck with you. I fuck with you. I fuck with you. I fuck with you. I fuck with you. I fuck with you. I never heard that when you got that power shut off. I fuck with you. I fuck with you. Well, actually, it went out from Cleveland and it trickled down. if they bring Shaquille O 'Neal listen they asked me recently at the album listening and they was like yo who would you be as a ball player I said yo I'd be Shaquille O 'Neal that motherfucker was the most dominant player that I ever seen with my eyes slam dunking with four guys on his back like that shit was crazy different but if Jay-Z and them bring Shaq it's over that's what I'm saying I don't think they had Shaq.
19:20I didn't believe it. And by the way, my guys that they said I had, they were on the court. Mike Bibby at his prime. Allen Iverson, Stephon Mulberry, Al Harrington, Zach Randolph, Zeebo, Zeebo, Jamal. You brought up that one name though. Shaq. You brought up Shaq. Oh no, he and Shaq, nobody's beating him. He probably break the fucking rim in that court. It's over. He would have ripped the gizzard trons off. He would have ripped that shit off the ground. They heard I had Yao Ming. So they went and got Shaq. You had Yao? I need to hear this. How you get Yao, bro? Somebody Google this shit, please.
19:57Who knows Yao? I don't. I'm back to you. You had Yao? Call Yao for me. Can somebody Google what it was? It's Yao Ming. That's why they went and got Shaq. I didn't know you had Yao. How you get Yao from Mobile? Tino Mobile. Look how I said it. Ah! Ah!
20:20Listen. Marguerite, Anthony, Jermaine O 'Neal, Yaloui, where you're starting five. Who's the other starting five? Shaq. Shaq. Houston. Here's the Bastion Town Fair. Here's your bench. Zach Randolph, Sean Marion, Stephen Jackson, Stoudemire, Rafer Austin. God damn, John. Cantino Mowgli. He ain't got enough roster spots. Nigga. You just picking niggas up. Just fuck it. We going against the great Jay-Z. He's coming up in there with Beyonce. She's doing like, oh, I'm a single lady. Coming to the shit. It's crazy. Oh, man. My God. What's that? No fruit snack. Perhaps a fruit snack. I don't need that.
21:04These niggas won't give me a fruit around here. Let me tell you something. They won't give him a fruit around here. You want Jay-Z's roster while I got in here? Yeah, tell him. So this is what came up in my search. This might not be all right. You think I was losing? Jamal Crawford, Eddie Curry. Sebastian Telfair, Kenya Martin, Jamal Tinsley, Smith Parker, John Strickland, and Reggie Freeman. Hold on, Brown went on there? Yeah. Brown was there. LeBron, expected title game super team. Brown, Shaquille, McGrady, Odom, Crawford, Come on, yo. Kenyon, Eddie Curry. Come on, yo. Forget about it. Come on, yo.
21:42Come on, yo. McGrady and Shaq is nuts. I saw McGrady. That's crazy. That's nuts. I was trying to tell you. Kenyon Martin's fine, too. Come on, yo. All right. Get the fuck out of here. He could have ripped that rim. Come on, yo. He would have done the same thing Shaq would have did. Kenyon would have did with Shaq. I seen him play out there. He wouldn't have done with Shaq. He was a rim ripple. Right. He was a Shaq. Not Shaq. He still ripped the rim. He still ripped the rim off, though. Anthony, Allen, I would say. They don't even got Bibby on there. He went back to back chips with Jason Kidd, my nigga.
22:11Wow. I know he lost, but you got to know what he was doing. I know what you think. I didn't know what he was doing. That was Keith Van Horn. Rocking that team, nigga. Keith Van Horn. You mean with the high socks? Yo. Derek Coleman. Yo, are you crazy? That's a whole different team, dog. Richard Jefferson.
22:37But Kmart and Kmart was wild. He was wild. He was wild. What's my starting lineup again so these guys can hear? Because they thinking like I'm... I'm not saying it's a blowout. I'm not saying it's a blowout. My guys was on the court, guys. That's why I'm not... Iverson Marbury, Anthony O 'Neal. Iverson Marbury, you a point guard. You know better. I know. Iverson Marbury. What are we talking about? Shaq. No, no. Hold on. Take it. Versus LeBron James, Shaquille O 'Neal, Tracy McGrady, Lamar Odom, Crawford, Telfair Martin. Come on, yo.
23:16Well, maybe Maybe I would have been 98-2 I like my record No, they got Shaq See if we can do it again Old man Old man league, right? Senior citizen In the half court, though Huh? In the half court Let's leave that alone. We can't go through. I ain't going to bring him to the big three. Anything nigga I should kill on the other day. I don't know. Who spoke? You lost. When they said Shaq, I almost died that night. He got on the radio. Yo, so fat Joe's my man and all that, but I'm here in New York. I was like, Jesus. I might have got like a five-hour massage, my nigga. I was stressed. That's crazy.
24:08My niggas didn't have to play to win the championship. That shit came with a theme song. Come on, guys. All three? That shit came with a theme song, a number oneer. Stunner on that shit. Yo, come on, guys. Come on, you should have said, why Joe won the chip with no game? Why don't we talk shit? Why you doing the same? Yo, kids. Are you crazy? Come on now. Let's keep it 1800. Who was you most excited to ever play when you became a pro? When you was in that locker room and you was like, he's out there. I'd say three people. Okay, perfect. Braun, for sure. D-Wade. He was excited for Braun? Hell yeah.
25:01I was scared to death for Braun. No, you... D-Wade... It was like... Because Bron and D-Wade were in Cleveland together when I first came. Oh, that's when D-Wade was retiring. No, no, no. No, not in Miami. They was in Cleveland together when I played. I'm going with Farser. Cleveland is in Miami. D-Wade was in Miami for one year, maybe. I got D-Wade in the club, his club for the first time. Put the T.S. chain and went inside a club for the first time in his life. I got him in. You're going to let him say who he was scared of? I got him. D-Wade is... D-Wade, and then Russell Westbrook. That's a mean three.
25:38Russell Westbrook. Russell Westbrook, man. Shout out to Russ, man. Just the timing. Shout out to Russ, man. That guy is strong. Yo, how do you time it, man? 18 years strong to Brody. Yes, we did. 18 years, baby. God, brother, Russ. You know what I hate you about? Must see TV. Russell Westbrook. Yo, that guy was... The way they talk about him, man. Oh, no. He ain't want to know. I hate it. I hate the way they talk about, like, they tried to kill him throughout their whole past five, six years. Now they want to celebrate who he is. So, like, that's just bullshit to me. Well, he's always like that.
26:11I know, but not for everybody. I hate it. I hate how they do that. But that's just how the world works. But we got to give guys flowers, man, because Russell Westbrook is one of them. That Joe hated Kobe Bryant with a passion. Biggest shit-talker in the world. When he died, I sat on my couch and cried like a big pussy. That's different, though. You shit talking because this nigga's cold. Like, that's different. That's different. They attack Russ like he not who he was. Like, you know what I'm saying? That's different. You hate Kobe. It was Kobe versus Braun. Who you like? Double one year. Right.
26:44You know what I'm saying? Get the fuck out of here. Three years, triple, double. Yo, we need Russell Westbrook on the show. We got to give him his proper respect. Him and Chris Paul's head. Oh, I'm trying to get in shape. Oh, I'm not so. No, 1800 for the Scientifical Platform Yo, this is to you This is to Russell Westbrook 1800 for 18 years, Russ 18 years, Russ, boy Now that's my type of guy Don't drink, children Now, Russell Westbrook Is the type of guy I would have loved on the Knicks or anything like that He's a warrior Leaves it out there Every night. He's the one dude, like, not the one dude, but he's one of them dudes, like, as a guard, you got to be like, all right, bet.
27:32Like, I got to get some rest, like, because he don't give a damn. Like, it could be their seventh game in eight nights. That nigga downhill. At you. And screaming. Like, you know what I'm saying? If he would have played in your game, the crowd would have went stupid. Like, I wish he would have played out in Rucker Park. I would have took six people to the basket with him. That's right. He's a fucking beast. He's a beast. Like, he was like, he wasn't even known. You know, I love his game, bro. Then again, got no let up, no nothing, no chill. All the way to the end, too. All the way to the end, he would give it his 100%.

28:14You know what I've learned? The things that really matter, you can't rush them. Facts. You can't rush the sauce. You can't rush the music. You can't rush relationships, and you definitely can't rush great tequila. That's why 1800 Tequila stands out. The name goes all the way back to the 1800s, when the Beckman family started making tequila. And that patience, that attention to the craft, has been passed down through more than 11 generations. That's legacy. Sometimes you just got to let something cook. Juan Beckman Vidal, age 1800, of Naio longer than he even had to because he knew it wasn't ready yet.
28:55I respect that. Don't put it out just because you can put it out. Put it out when it's right. That applies to a record, a conversation, a mood, a making, and clearly a bottle of tequila. Once you get it right, you share it with your people. That's always been part of the story. Good tequila, good conversation, and the people around you really appreciate both. Passion, hard work, honesty. Those words are written on every bottle of 1 ,800. And honestly, that's the foundation for anything built to last. So take your time with what you're creating. And when the moment is right, share it with your people.
29:321 ,800 tequila. Good stuff takes time. And the best stuff's meant to be shared with your people. This episode is supported by FX's The Drop, a Snowfall saga. Wanda and Leon are back, but this time they're chasing a different kind of legacy. As West Coast rap begins to take over 90s Los Angeles, Wanda is betting on a new generation of artists. But in a city where every opportunity comes with a price, they'll have to decide what they're willing to risk to leave their mark. FX is the drop. Now streaming on Hulu. Hey, our ride's almost here. 32:16How important is it? Y 'all got, I mean, we all got a lot of similarities with this giving back. I mean, I know you do a lot for Greenwich Country Day. Yeah. I mean, y 'all do it. Y 'all know it. Like, it's a blessing to be in this position, right? Like, you know what I mean? Like, we part of the 1 % of the 1%, you know what I'm saying? And so we have, I kind of look at it as an obligation to help plenty of people to be where we at. You know what I'm saying? And for me, especially with what I'm doing at Country Day, like I went to a private school. I was one of a few black kids at the school. And what I learned from that experience was like, it's two different worlds.
32:53Like two totally different worlds that we grew up in, right? I always tell people like, if I didn't make the league, I would be fine because of the connections I made. like we going on spring break we going to au tournaments my friends are interning at goldman sacks you feel what i'm saying like so i saw that early my sister she's over here she went to school saw that early i'm like okay we living in two totally different where i'm playing au out here at riverside and all that like trying to make it the way i know how right but they on a whole different ball game so what i try to what we try to do now at granite's country day like i just built the gym and i'm trying to you know kids from the inner city like anywhere not just new york but obviously we start in New York, Connecticut and be like, yo, as long as you got the grades, we'll give you the opportunity to play here.
33:36We'll put you in front of the best coaches for sure. But like if basketball don't work out, you could go still hang with such and such and such and such and get you into a position where you still making, you know, you're still around important people. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's, that's my big thing. I think we grow up and it's natural. Like we grew up thinking we gotta be one of y 'all. You gotta be one of me. You gotta be an actor. Like that's it. Like we don't see any other, any other route, right? So my thing is to try to teach as many kids as I can, like, yo, it's okay, like, to be a doctor.
34:05You know what I mean? Like, showing them early, like, it's okay, like, you know what I mean? And that's kind of where my emphasis is. It's like basketball is great. They had like 20 kids that came from Baltimore. Emory brought them up. Right. Rock Nation, and I just told them that. I said, listen, every time it ain't gonna be, you ain't gonna always be an athlete or an artist. It's hard to do. You know, you could be somebody who works. You could be an entrepreneur. You could be, you know, it ain't always going to be a rapper or a basketball player. You know, there's many opportunities out there for you to get it.
34:43And in a nutshell, all my kids went to private school. And in a nutshell, the biggest thing about private school is exactly what you said, is the network. meeting good people opportunities I think of Michael Jordan's son when he got the store in Orlando everybody who was running it was guys he went to school with he was the managers they was the buyers they was the diss and I was like yo yes that's the one thing private school does for you your kids get to go to school with other people who have access to other Like, yo, bro, in Miami, my daughter was going to birthday parties on 200-foot yachts.
35:32Niggas was like, oh, you coming to my birthday? Snoop Dogg is DJing. And I was like, shit was out of control. I was like, every week they got one? That shit different. They be like, yo, every week. But dad, tonight is Snoop Dogg DJing. Yo, this. I be like, oh, my God. But you open their eyes to one more. I feel like we look at it, especially as black people, we look at it as like it's over here. People don't understand. That's 45 minutes up the street. It's right there within your grasp. We just don't know about it. You know what I'm saying? To your point, I joke with my sister. I go pick up my sister from her friend's house.
36:09I mean, got a gate to a gate to a security guard. And I'm like, what do you do? Oh, he does private equity here, does this stuff. I'm like, I've never heard of that growing up. You know what I'm saying? So that's kind of my thing for these kids. And NIL is great, too, because kids are able to see money at an earlier age. But now it's like, what do you do with that? You know what I mean? If you come out to college, you make$9 million, and you don't know. Use the money. Exactly. The man that's sitting next to you in class is the one that's your financial advisor. You feel what I'm saying? Now you've got people you can trust that have been there, that's family have been there, like are doing it the right way.
36:48So that's my passion project. That's something like I really want to do when I'm done playing. We got a really good setup. We just hired a new coach. And the basketball is elite too. You know what I'm saying? Like that's the biggest thing. I'm not just saying just come and be a part of the basketball. You're in the wax shit. Right. Basketball is elite. That's what you do. Like that's. That's what you do. At what age you knew he was going to be good enough? When did he switch from baseball to basketball? My sophomore year. Oh, so? I didn't know. I thought everything you see now was going to be baseball.
37:19I thought I'd be like, I don't know, Shohei. Like, that was my, like, you know what I'm saying? Like, I was, that was that. I'm Griffey. I'm all these dudes, right? My sophomore year, I broke my wrist and I just was like, you know what? I'm trying to hoop. And next thing you know, I went from three college offers to 26 in a year like that. And my family was like, well, I mean, baseball's over with. You know what I'm saying? we ain't doing that and that's why I said those four years from sophomore year of high school, did two years of high school then I did the two years at Louisville to get to the league, those four years were just a breeze, like it just every year just kept getting better and better and then I was in Utah, like that would you who'd you want it to be like as a kid in basketball in basketball?
38:07you said he was watching baseball I mean Michael Jordan, Michael Jordan was the goat is the goat to me but I wasn't baseball I didn't Michael Jordan was a goal because he did alright so baseball I'm a mess come on now I'm a mess till I die the way you are with the Knicks multiply that by 40 with the Mets thousand percent sorry to hear that man hey Scott's one of my best friends Billy Blanco my father was a Mets fan we would argue Yankees against Mets He thought the Yankees was racist. My father, he had a whole theory to it. He was like, yo, the Mets fuck with the Latinos. They dissed this. The Diggies is racist.
38:51I'm like, you my man. Listen, how the fuck I live three blocks from Yankee Stadium? I'm not going to be a Yankee fan. You kidding me? They just got the logo. You know, we had your man here the other day. Dow Storbeck. Dow Storbeck. So it's crazy. I grew up and Darryl was coaching with my dad. So I used to grow up and be around Darryl all the time. Like, all the time. And that's what I mean. Like, I was going to Florida for spring training. And I'm with Pedro Martinez. I'm with Jose Reyes. I'm with David Wright. Like, that's who's teaching me how to play baseball. So then I get back to school. I'm killing niggas.
39:25Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, I'm playing. I'm practicing with the major league team. So that was my whole childhood. That reminds me of, like, Jalen Brunson, right? Where they got all these videos of him as a little kid watching his father play. or Tim Hardaway Jr. Tim Hardaway. You motherfuckers grew up in the... Steph the same way. Steph. Steph, all of them, like that. Grew up in the fucking... Inside the league. That shit is crazy. Now we got what's my man playing in Orlando as far as my man, this Fab Five. Jawan. Oh, Jet Howick. My brother, shout out to him and his wife. Your son is playing in Orlando.
40:06To me, that's the coolest experience. I don't care if it's basketball, football, baseball, whatever. Like, being in the locker room at an early age, that experience is unmatched. It's insane. Timbaland, the producer, his son was dead nice too. I don't know. I know Mike Bibby's nephew, Eddie House's son, is dead nice. I mean, they got it. You know what I'm saying? They born with that in the DNA. They dead nice. Sometimes it comes from the Lord. That's a fact. Most times. That's a fact. Speaking into existence. That's a whole fact. Speak the Lord, man. I'm about to have my kids on the same type of time.
40:46Whenever that happens. Training athlete. We're not paying for college. We're not paying for college. We're not paying for college. I'm going to be a crazy coach. I ain't going to lie. Wife is going to have to deal with that. She's going to be all right. No, training your kids is, you know. I ain't going to be one of them crazy dads that's like cussing the kid out. Like, I'll leave that for like a Rick Pitino. You know what I'm saying? I'll let them do that. Rick Pitino. It's crazy because last... Opefino definitely cursed him. Let me tell you something. The last episode we just shot, I brought up my man Flex, but got to bring him up again.
41:19Rest in peace. Flex used to play baseball. They threw him out of the park permanently, and he used to have to watch the game on top of his truck because he was dad gone bad, like trying to flip on the manager, flipping on the... umpire. Umpire, yo, Flex was looney tunes. I remember one day that man called me, he said, yo, I said, what's up, Flex? I'm on top of my truck, trying to look at my son. He got single. At the game, he wasn't allowed in the park. He was a violent dad. You know, one of his sons, like, that shit go crazy, huh? I mean, I understand. I'd pop one like that, though, but, like, I understand it.
42:03Just when I'm coaching kids myself, like, at my camps and all that, I kind of have to pull myself back and be like, all right, like, let them do their thing. You know what I'm saying? Instead of over-coaching. You know me, we were so poor, man. I got down with the team. It was CMI, Customs Metal. In the Bronx, Little League, they had the Sky Blue. I realized Sky Blue was really my color my whole life. And I went, I played out there. One day, my father came with his friends. He had all the Cubans. They was drinking. She was like, the knife in the name Put me in the game This nigga lost his mind My father had no chance to argue I paid$7 I think it was like$7 I know Me on the way This, this, that The nigga put me in the game They put me right here I made arrow on the first ball I went back to that station wagon My father was with his friends He said, you a bum.
43:05That's what I'm about. You know, I didn't know that wasn't you. Then like three days later, the shit I posted you for the MLB was you running around it. You didn't know that was me? How you not know that's me? They go, go, Joe, go. That's not real. You was running that fast. Hell no. That got me. Smack that shit, double. What are you talking about? Look at him. Go. It was my birthday. You was fucking slut. I thought you showed me love, man. They told me it's not. I said, that thing is digging. That's crack right there. It's coming around second pace. I'm going to tell you the biggest misconception about that, nigga.
43:49I used to think I was going. I play Soulboy every week and I'll be like and I'll be thinking I'm moving. Niggas be like, I'm out. Let me tell you the biggest disrespect. that. The biggest, because I always hit. Always hit. Always hit a shot. Always hit a double. Always hit it. I always hit. Not a home run hitter, but I'm good a hitter. Right? Like, I'm, like, really good. Niggas start throwing me out from outfield, man. Like, when the ball comes. Yo, at first? At first, nigga. That's tough. Niggas was gunning that shit. That's tough, Greg. So disrespectful, niggas. That's tough. Niggas was like, oh, shit, lefty, throw it.
44:32you out I'm like oh my god throw you out from outfield at first is disrespectful I'm not talking about one two a lot of times 10 20 times that shit was like that shit was becoming contagious any nigga had a arm they was like throw him out cut him out buddy Bobby cut him out barely making it safe whoa that mean he was running extra slow. From anywhere in the outfield or just left right field? Anywhere there was a line drive. Like if you hit a shot, and they catch it with the one bounce, and the nigga throwing it all the way down first. It was there. They cut me out maybe 10. That side's coming in hot.
45:16You know, it was a picture. That's tough. You know, it was a softball picture. Legendary picture out there in them streets. I bring Sean Peck. I said, don't lie. Strike your niggas out. The problem is, Fat Joe never change. So I'm the same fat Joe. If I strike you out in front of your family, I'm walking you to your fucking dugout. You bum-ass nigga. I'm in almost had a thousand fights every week. They put his shit on the concourse. They said... Niggas pointing their shots out. Niggas pointing their shots out. Yeah, man. So listen. One day, y 'all, dead nights. I'm not lying to you. Right. so one day my man said yo you gotta come to MAPES they know about it MAPES so that's not my part of town that's another part of the Bronx MAPES it was like yo come and I'm Fat Joe already Fat Joe the rapper I get up in there they had a dude named Boomer now Boomer is the number one homerun hitter in that area this and this and that I strike the nigga out striking the nigga out of softball is like you're really it's disrespect.
46:30It's like throwing you out from outfield. You bum ass nigga. Fuck, I told you the hardest. You doing the fast ones or regular? I'm throwing fast. It's not slow. I'm throwing risers and shit. My shit was legendary out there. I'm throwing fucking risers. If I get you strike two, oh and two, nigga, good riddance for you. And I'm walking it in. Shout out to Carl Lewis. He taught me how to pitch. Yo, I'm striking you out and I'm walking it in. Like while I'm going strike you bum ass I'm right into your face. I'm like you can touch me. Fuck out of here nigga. So I did it to the guy boomer. Everybody was like yo this is boomer.
47:11I struck the nigga out. Come on the second time. That nigga hit my shit so far. There was a building that makes playground. I'm going to tell you still there. It was a building in the middle of makes, like a building, like a five-story that nigga put that shit on like the fifth floor of the building and it landed in the hole. Yo. Yo. Yo, get the fuck out of here. Listen. Listen. It's still there. That whole neighborhood, when they play baseball. Can we sit in the show and go get it? Can we do an episode where we go get the ball? You gotta do what's up there, Joey. Listen, no, no, it's not in the roof or nothing.
47:57It's like a hit, like a perfect spot. It's up there for life. So it's still there. It's still there. And let me tell you something. This guy, he's not Boomer. Boomer's name is Boomer for Boomer. You want to know why? You see how that nigga jog around them bases? He look like Boomer. He was looking at me like, he don't say much. He was running around. Niggas just like Boomer roof this shit. Yo, Fat Joe, get the fuck out of here, you bum-ass nigga. Nigga, I was doing my thing out there. Like, they thought I was the greatest shit ever came. Fuck, I'm Boomer. He put my shit. It's still there. Nigga, if that building's still there, that ball's still there, and you can't even climb there to get it.
48:44You're going to need, like, scaffolds or something. We're going to get the drone. Get the drone. We're going to locate it. Yo, that nigga, he got that. You got that, Boomer. You got that. You got that. I ain't going to lie to it, man. You know what I'm saying? The man put it out there. You know what I'm saying? But, you know, I used to love softball, man. I used to love softball. That shit was the shit for me. How do you like where the direction of the league is going? As far as just in general? Yeah, just in general. I think the league talent is at an all-time high. I mean, like, I think social media and the internet that makes people not appreciate the product that's really out there.
49:26You got 10, 12 dudes on the bench can go. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, you look at OKC, look at us. You look at New York. You look at Indiana. You look at San Antonio, right? You look at all these teams. Denver, like. Halliburton coming back. Like, you know what I mean? You look at all these teams. You got, like, our backup big, I love him to death, Thomas Bryant. I joke with him all the time. motherfucking gave us 16 in game two. And he's, he played that whole series. Didn't play when they played y 'all the year before. Like, the talent is at an all-time high. You know what I'm saying?
50:02So I think the league is in a great place. You got a lot of liars in your league, too. What you mean? You know, I'm at the white party. I ain't see you this year. We was there last year. We was on a bachelor, bachelorette, you know. Oh, yeah, I was doing that. Your man Trey Young come up to me. You know the Knicks fans hate him. He was like, yo, B, I ain't even played the whole season that's why I want to see you full of shit motherfucker get the fuck out of here two seconds later Chris Halliburton show hey you know I ain't even play who the fuck is Chris Halliburton yo I got a Chris Halliburton called him for me you mean Tyrese Tyrese Halliburton come on fucker come up to me come on fucker come up to me y 'all you know I ain't played like they got a script Like niggas who ain't played it like y 'all I ain't play all year That's why you guys won They full of shit man You know you gotta accept the champs It's the champs What you You know what you want me to do But you guys got it harder Donovan They gave y 'all Braun in the east They gave you Jonas And bang over there I don't know what they gotta fill in some of the pieces they got they got they got Davion they got Tim Hardaway who you said oh my gosh Clay with the right team to kick it out is it dead Alhamdulillah Clay the right team all Clay gotta do cause he's top four top five I just seen him shoot that miss all them balls last top four top five all he gotta do is stay right there did you listen please all right all he gotta do is staying right there because Giannis has so much gravity.
51:52Right? So if we go help on Giannis, who are we going to help off of? Right? So that's what makes them that's what makes them dangerous. Last year, I'm willing to yo, team. Who did he have to go? Who did he have to do? Did you listen to what he said? Last year, who did he have that? What happened on Dallas? That he had to missing a ton of wide open shots, guys. I mean, yo, all my guys are Miami fans. They all saying the same shit you said. Maybe they didn't watch last season like me. I feel like, God bless Clay, he lost the fluidity. That's all I'm saying. I know he got a spot on him. I know he got a surgery.
52:30He lost a lot of stuff. He can't. He's missing everything. His shooter is like riding a bike. He's missing everything last year. Who else he got? They got Wiggins. They got Davion. They got Bam. They got Larson. Don't make an excuse. Some guys are all right. But listen to what I'm saying to you. You disrespect a lot of people. No, if they get Drew Holiday. And they got Spoh. Spoh, great coach. Spoh's the best. Right. No, no. Spoh's the best. Right. Coach Spoh's the best. If they get Drew Holiday, I get scared. Drew Holiday, I get scared. Other than that, Clay, all that shit, we not. You disrespect everybody.
53:06But that's the New Yorker you, though. No, I'm a Giannis fan, BAM fan. I'm a Miami. I love them more. You be at the game. If we talk about reality. We saying Philly. Who? Philly, you got LeBron. You got Jalen. You got the little I rate him. Who can shoot better than Klay? Who can shoot better than Klay? Everybody? Maxie Cole. Tyrese, it's about VJ. VJ. He can shoot better than Klay? Billion percent. Billion percent. 2026? I'm not going by the set. I'm not going 20 years ago. I'm not talking about Golden. He's better. My man, that guy's light years better than Clay. Right now in 2026, light years better than that.
53:57That's why you only coach people. It's cool. I'm going to tell you the truth. I don't know what you want me to say. Look at this guy. Right now, 2026, VJ from Philly. Shooting. Shooting. He said shooting. Shooting too. Shooting. Oh, I seen a lot of boom, boom. I want to get you the clips. I talk shit, but now they're going to go and verify. You know what Klay did with four dribbles? That's before. We talked about years ago. You got me talking about Maxi. I'm talking about Vijay. You think Vijay Edgecombe can shoot better than Klay Thompson? 2026. I bet you that this year he's going to make more shots.
54:34Professional flag. That was a professional flag. That wasn't just a regular flag. That nigga's a top five shooter ever. That's an all-of-fame flag. He's been a top five shooter ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. I don't care if Clay got no legs. If you can shoot, you can shoot. Yo, shooting is like riding a bike. He says, Joe. Shooting for Clay is like eating for you. Joe. Joe. Why? Why? Joe. This guy's crazy, dog. Joe, why you call us the number one? Shooting. These guys have been there for 10 years, Joe. It's like you didn't live. Hold on. Better than that. You know he was all the way wrong with the eyes.
55:12Shot you. Shot you. All the way. I'm all the way wrong. 40. This is another one you all the way with. This is another one. He don't like that. Last year's numbers. Give me last year's. Last year's number. How you going to get 10 years ago with him and Clay? How you going to take 10 years numbers? Not so much. That's the year. It don't look like that. Right now, nigga. Return to sender. Right now. Three. Don't give me. Most of these 20 years. No, no. I'm not one of these. We going three. We're going to shoot. Joe. Joe. Joe. Come on, Joe. Three-point percentage. Three-point percentage. Current number.
55:46Edgecombe, 35.4%. Clay, 38.3%. Well, go. Well, blow me. Now what? No, no, no. We ain't got to. You ain't got to say all that. You don't have to say anything else. Because we proved him wrong. No, we're not talking about. We're not talking about. You said shooting. No, but he wins. 5.6 edge comb, threes per game, 7.6 for Klay. You lost the game! Two more. That's two more. How much points? Klay is one of the best shooters ever. What are we talking about? I'm talking about ever don't mean shit. How? Ever means? I could grab that nigga the high, the high from hip hop. He ain't it right now. We not talking about shooting.
56:27You're a manager. You said shooting. Hall of Fame. Shooting. That means if you cut off his lower half, all he got to do is this. Shooting. Right here. God, Bless y 'all, because I'm tuned in this city. Do you know what shooting means? I know what shooting means. The man ain't got it no more. You don't even got to do the... You don't even got to do all that. You don't even got to do all that. Let me get my shit off. You don't even got to do all that. Let me get my shit off. I can't wait for everybody to hear this one. Who? Yeah, it is crazy. So, VJ played 75 games. Clay played 69. VJ averaged 16 points a game.
57:03Clay averaged 12. It's the same thing. DJ game is way different than Klay It's way different than Klay DJ got the ball He got wiggle, he can get to the bucket He got all that But what he said, shooting We ain't talking about nothing else but shooting Shooting, nothing else Everything is solid, shooting God bless Klay Thompson Every time, now and then You know, a boxer gets punched, struck And the niggas start looking like this when he come through Your man, Clay. So what happens if Clay walk up on you now? He just walks up. What the fuck you talking about? That nigga don't want this type of shit, this type of work.
57:45We ain't shooting drills, nigga. We don't do that to him. He's a nice guy. I love that guy. He's a nice guy. He's a living legend. The problem is we salute the legends, but we talk about modern day. Shooting. You said shooting. You said shooting. Yeah, you said shooting. I watched Clay. You said shooter. Because I love the kid, the white boy that got over there. What's his name? Cooper Flagg? Cooper Flagg. I love Cooper Flagg. Is he a better shooter than Clay? I watched a lot of their games. Is he a better shooter than Clay? I'm not saying that. Our president? Come on, Joe. No, dog. What's wrong with your eyeballs?
58:23How are you 99 and 1? Yeah, that's what I'm trying to figure out. Because I'm realistic. The problem is Clay has hit his peak. he is on his way he's shooting in fact right now Clay Thompson's supposed to retire and say peace to the guards that's it he's supposed to go he's supposed to go home listen guys I made 300 million my time is up if he don't do it right now Clay Thompson's you watching you think Pat Riley you watching let me tell you something if you don't do it right now with Bam and Giannis the way everybody's singing your praise. All you got to do is shoot from the side. He already did it.
59:05And them just keep hitting the red bull. You know he already did it? Did what? What? Did what? He got software galore. What are you talking about? Back in the day. What's the difference between Clay Thompson and me and you? I'm telling you present day. Here's the fucking question. What's the difference? He's still lit out here, he's still got money, he's still doing shit. I put an album out that sounds really, really good, Twins. and he just signed with the Miami 2026 it's the same thing he got a hard, he got a blockage he's saying the same shit and don't even know he's saying the same shit you are, he didn't do nothing last year, he got a new deal Russell Westbrook and Chris Pauls in Italy in the old year it's niggas that's home at Target it's niggas that's trying to figure it out he got signed with no problem Fat Joe predicts that if Clay Thompson has pride that he retires after this year.
1:00:01Remember I told you. You're going to see that boy hit that fucking basket, go boing, boing, boing all day. And they're going to be waiting. Holy God, we heard he's going to erupt one day. He's going to, that's over. So you think Sposter and Pat Riley just don't know what the fuck. Out of everybody that picked, they picked Clay. They actually the best. I think he was available. He was available and they believe what you believe. A lot of people was available. A lot of people say it. A lot of people say it. No, no, no, no. Everybody believes what y 'all believe. It's a fact. He's one of the best shooters ever.
1:00:34It's a fact. You are burning out. The Splash Brothers one of the best last year, guys. And listen to this. Let me tell you.

1:03:49Donovan's a nice guy. He's trying to big them all up. He know the truth. He know these guys. Anybody I said that ain't what they is right now. And listen, hey. You said Clay. Splash, brother. Nobody at home is leaving you right now. Clay was one of the greatest shooters of all time. Is. Every now and then, everybody loses some flu. He lost speed. He lost movement. He didn't lose his shot. He tore his ACL and his Achilles. He don't move the same, but he still shoots. You move like Clay in it. None of that. If you had to pick one of those two guys to take the last shot of a game to win it, Edgecombe or Clay, who you picking?
1:04:29Edgecombe? I'm going to Edgecombe. I'm thinking, talking about a block in Harlem if it's the last shot, it's Edgecombe or Clay. I'm definitely giving it to Clay. You kidding me? Let me ask you a question. Very good question. Last shot. Not the last do something athletic and jump over. We said the last shot. No, I would give it to Clay for sure. We got to go to all of that. Look at him. No, no, no. You put me in that predictable in that situation. I'm always going to be like, yo, Clay for the last shot. Now, what I'm trying to tell you is everybody's hoping John is some bam that he's going to shoot that shit from over there.
1:05:13I feel like he deteriorated. And they got Tim Hardaway. They got two shooters on both sides. Another guy I love. You guys are putting me in terrible positions. You ain't got to say it. Don't say it. Don't say it. Don't say it. I'm trying to help you. Because I know pops go up. No, I fuck with Tim Hardaway Jr. and the father, the whole family. He's a good player. Can he shoot? he can't shoot he can't shoot hold up he can't shoot if you live wide open cause they put four people I'll watch you grow up I'll watch you grow up I've always been a big fan even when you was in New York you went to Dallas or whatever this year you either gotta get hurt or push yourself to the ultimate form time out we can't sit we need the thing we need the thing that go you know the thing on TV we need put that in front of them
1:06:21I don't know what's going on in order to win a championship you must be faster you must be given all of yourself certain players don't go all in. What I'm saying is I've always been a fan. I always believed in him since day one. I don't want him to get hurt. That's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying you got to give 120%. You finally are in the position to win a champion with two of the greatest big men of all time. If you don't do it this year too, we have a problem if you're not looking like a shining star. We can't just give it to everybody like that. We just can't. I don't want the man to get hurt.
1:07:09What I'm saying is I happen to know that he's more talented than he's ever played. I'm so happy you hear this. This is crazy. So why did you say you got to get hurt? I want to go there. I don't want him to get hurt. What I'm saying is. Why do you say it? Some players have a fear. It's just a fat Joe way of saying. Some players have a fear of getting hurt. and for some reason, to win the chip... You know how many times I've seen that nigga Jalen Brunson get popped on his head, landed on his ear, this, and got back up. For sure, he's out the game. He kept getting back up, lending this. Yo, bro, to win a championship, you have to wake up and say...
1:07:50I see what you're saying. Fuck it. You can't play. You gotta just, like, every inch of talent that you have, you have to put it on the floor. Winner take all. Whether you get hurt, whether you don't, whether you this, whether you that. Tim Hardaway, I've been a fan. I'm a fan of your father. Created the crossover. I know the family genes very well. I've been your fan since day one. I swear to God. This is your year if you're going to do it. Because I get an excuse every time. Oh, Kyrie wasn't really there. Or this one wasn't there. I'm not with the excuses. I want results, my nigga. Oh, you just can't lose.
1:08:31only one team can win no no what you mean cause we can't keep calling everybody nice if they're not winning the chip you're telling me you're not looking at that nice talent so hold on hold on yeah yeah go ahead AI not nice police by AI the greatest right he didn't win he didn't win no no I get that AI didn't have a team he didn't have Bam but you just said but you also said nigga was great hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on You said, you said, you said, you said. Tim Hardaway has a team. You said, niggas, they get excuses. This is why I'm telling him, Tim Hardaway Jr. Pat Ewing. Please. I've been praying for you my whole life.
1:09:12Pat Ewing, nice. I want you to win. What about Charles Bursley? What about Charles Bursley? Barkley, nice. Let me say this to you. He never had a team. Barkley was dumb life. I'm not with anybody. Did he ever have a crazy team? He's an all right team. Yeah, he had a good team. Barkley had a good team. Hey, I never had a team. That's my broad brush. Let me borrow that thing. Allen Arverson never had that sleep rate three. But let me show you. That's sleep rate three. That's sleep rate three. I need one. You're making my pressure go up, dog. It's killing me, man. We can't do that to AI. I'm not knocking AI and then have a team.
1:09:46Yeah. He didn't have a team like Giannis and fucking Bam Bam, who just scored 81. With a coach like Spock. They both made it to the chip without each other. Giannis and Bam, They both reach the championship like AI. Tim Hardaway has a team. This is what I'm saying. Nobody in here knows what the hell you say. You keep staring at us. You all over the place. Allen Overson did not have a team. He did not have a good five. He had my brother Dikembe after that. Them guys was cool. Aaron McKee, Snow, this, that. Like, stop. Little man like this was playing all five. What about Charles Buckley? I said Charles Buckley behind a team.
1:10:30What's the thing for that? What's the thing for that? What's the thing for that? Well, he just didn't win. He just didn't win. That's what I'm saying. Sometimes you just... Sometimes that's just what happens. You have a team and just... No, no, I'm not saying that he ain't... I'm just saying right now. I just told you. What about... I think he won in present day. Present day. What about Damian Lillard? Niggas try to disrespect him. Damian Lillard is another guy that was a phenomenal player. What? Oh, no. No, come on, crack. He won the three with 40 % leg. 40 % leg is crazy. 40 % killies. Three point.
1:11:10He won it. Come on. So we just letting anybody. Come on, crack. Because they just nice. He's not nice. No, Dame Lillard had a good year. Tell me that. Tell me that. He tore his Achilles. When did he play? He was out for a whole series. Dude, this guy's crazy. MC Hammer is the best ever created in the history of mankind. Vanilla Ice is the greatest we ever seen in the history of mankind. I don't know what to tell y 'all. We got to keep saluting. Yeah, we salute everybody. We legends. We want to be saluted too. The problem I'm making is, can we say Damian Lillard's best years are behind him? Y 'all don't know.
1:11:49You're saying because he's older. You're saying he's past his prime. He got hurt and he ain't. But we ain't seen him yet. We ain't seen it. He went with Giannis. We got to stop talking basketball. He went with Giannis. I got to sign it. I got to sign it. We can't say that. We don't know. I can't keep talking. We can't say that. He played with Giannis, guys. We can't say that. We ain't seen it. I can't keep doing this. I can't. I can't say that. We ain't seen it. I'm going to point. Look at it like this. Let's just say. Now you're going to quit. So in Katie? Let's just say. Every basketball player that was a legend, that won a chip, that shot the three-point contest.
1:12:20Is Katie's best years behind him? One. billion percent. This is one of his most efficient years of his career. This is one of his best years ever last year. You're not watching the game for the game. So when he tours Achilles and goes to the States. Would you have said the same thing when he tours Achilles that his best days are behind him? Who? KD? After he tours Achilles. No, I wouldn't have said that after he tours Achilles. He came back and he played good. But we can't say that about Dane. We ain't seen it yet. No, no, we ain't seen it yet, but we ain't seen him at the did he tears Achilles after or before he played with Giannis?
1:13:01The same year. How he was doing before that? It was a down year for him that year. That's Cap. He was an all-star starter. What are we talking about? All-star just because they voted. He's a starter. Please say rap. I love all these guys. All these guys are legends. Y 'all making it look like I'm some type of villain. I'm not a villain. I'm just saying certain rappers were the hottest niggas in the world and they're just not that today. I say hi to them and think they're living legends and love them and death. It's like that with all of them. You trying to call me, you trying to tell me. The ones that you picking, you rule them, boy.
1:13:37Seven years ago. That's what we're saying. Seven years ago. You're right in your room. Seven years ago. You tell me that Klay Thompson is coming to the Knicks, I ought to say hallelujah kiss the floor and tell you he's the greatest. He's the splatch, brother. Nobody want to listen to me. I'm not Why do I start to lose you? You know why you don't listen? He needs somebody to track, to get. When he's open, he's efficient. If he got nobody, if the whole team is not doing nothing, he don't look the same. But when it comes to shooting, this shit is like riding a bike. So you think he's going to be like Ray Allen?
1:14:14He's one of them. Ray Allen posted up in the corner. Ray is one of them. If you don't think he's one of them, you're not on earth. he's from that same cloth I'm saying he used to be from that cloth he doesn't have the same fluidity it's nobody's fault why would Pat Riley his folks should give him a deal why would Phil Jackson sign Frank McKenna cause Phil Jackson shout out my dog Frank shout out my dog Frank yo you too much of a nice guy that's my guy man that's my guy that's my guy listen NBA I love all you guys I wish y 'all the best health hard to tell no I want you to win he's not watching I'm tuned in to what yeah the Knicks I've been watching basketball my whole life basketball is my life so I'm talking about some hard conversations I forgot to ask you about you made me miss one of my biggest questions I wanted to ask you I'm just saying the truth because you hit me with all of this gibberish what you want to ask your coach made me go crazy when he said y 'all won analytically nah we're not doing the next question next question next question I'm not giving you an answer just because I know how people are I love Kenny Atkinson that's my I love him too that's why I want to learn he's still your coach yeah he's still the coach this ain't that that ain't this they so annoyed for Spider-Man he's still the coach shit Number one showing again.
1:15:47Spider, we love you, Spider. I appreciate it. Spider, we love you. I appreciate it. Yo.
