In short
Nigel Sylvester (BMX rider and sneaker/apparel designer) discusses winning “Sneaker of the Year,” the “Brick by Brick” campaign, and the upcoming “Brick After Brick” rollout, including a Jeezy collaboration and a new track premiere. He also talks about BMX origins in Jamaica Queens, bike theft/karma, and sneaker-culture excitement.
Guest backgrounds
The episode features Joe and Jada (hosts). Nigel Sylvester is the main guest. No other named guests appear in the conversation.
Key claims
“Brick by Brick” built enough energy that he didn’t expect Sneaker of the Year. The “color wave” and brick texture were refined through multiple sample rounds. A white designer (Frank Cook is credited) allegedly had credit taken publicly by another person at the award stage. The “Brick After Brick” rollout timing with Jeezy’s posts was “magic/alignment.” He says the new track is a “world premiere” and “might be the hardest track.”
Notable examples
Vegas Sneaker of the Year moment with ~5,000 people clearing out; a sneaker claw machine giveaway in LA; Nike campus bikes branded for “Brick After Brick”; a “Jeezy lookbook” shot at the Brooklyn Banks; BMX inspiration from Dave Mirra (signed at 18; later died from CTE).

It's the biggest in the motherfucking game Joe Crack the Dong You know who it is, your boy Jada You know what it is, the Joe and Jada show. Every show legendary. Every show. I kind of go fuck yourself. We the biggest in the game. Nobody's close. Go ahead, Kis, man. Roll it out. Talk your shit, man. When you think of today's guests, you think of a pretty solid individual. You know what I mean? Pretty, more than pretty solid. You think of a hell of a guy. Nice guy.
3:33Cyclist. You think of Queens. You think of community. You think of the bag. Because he got a hell of a lot of endorsements. One of the most guys with the most endorsements you're going to ever see in your life. Yeah, yeah. It's that community. He does stuff in the hood, for the hood, for the people, always. No matter how grand of a person he becomes, he never forgets where he's from. And that's very important. You think of bikes. You think of tricks. You think of doing some amazing content all over the world in the air, on the ground, underwater. I mean, whatever you can think of, he's done. You think of sneakers.
4:25I don't know how he managed to get these deals he dropped Air Force Ones he came with Jordans he's still doing Jordans now he got the apparel that's looking like fifth ever apparel to go with this sneakers there's nothing this man can't do ladies and gentlemen make some noise for my brother Nigel Zoufaster wow I appreciate that thank you that was crazy Welcome to the show. I'm not you, Sylvester, man. Sneaker of the year. Tell me about that. Everybody got sneakers. What they got? You know, I got Mayer with me. You know, Mayer's borderline street guy, borderline clean-cut sneaker guy. Yo, put a hell of a description.
5:16Yeah, yeah, because you talked about... I've been wearing Ciccone since I was a fucking baby. Socconeys. and Adidas. Get the fuck out of here with that pronunciation shit. They got his Adidas. All day I dream about sex or it's the Coney's. It ain't no soccer knees and shit like that. Fuck out of here with that shit. I thought it was the same thing. I saw it pronounced it too. Soccer knees? No, the first one you said. The company. That's what I thought it was. No, he told me it's soccer knees today. Mike Packer. Mike Packer is the one who told me he was in the coma, he was like yo, Saucony Mike Packer told me the proper pronunciation was Saucony it still don't fit think of all these sneakers we got a guy on here who's a cereal penny loafer sneaker guy he got a sneaker that's a penny loafer it's a leaker yo, yo, hey yo Don't pull it, though.
6:20No, no. No, no, man. No. What I'm saying is this. Yo. Does he actually have a penny in the thing? No. He got the silver joint, so he should throw a nickel. He should throw a nickel or a diamond. Yeah, he need a diamond. Yo, put a dime in his shit right there. But with all these sneakers, right, yo, Nigel? With all these sneakers. Right, right. You want sneaker of the year, man. Incredible. What did that feel like? Incredible. I had no idea it was going to happen, right? When we dropped the brick by bricks, the energy was built. So all your people are talking about it. I'm like, listen, I just wanted to put out a dope project.
6:55Whatever happens after that happens. So we're in Vegas, and they're doing the complex. You was on stage. I was there. You was on stage. We were close by, like, watching the live stream. It started to go down from 10, 9, 8. Oh, so you did not know it was going to be sneaking in? I had no idea. No. I had no idea. I thought they told you. I had a time ago. You're going to win and come down. I had no idea. I was fighting for you. We were prepared for it, but I had no idea. I didn't have to fight, but I was fighting for you. No, no. I appreciate that. We had preparation for it, just in case it did happen.
7:32When he announced it, man, we put on that Stove Guard cocaine cologne. We were just in the Sprinter van just celebrating, bro. All my people was with me. It was a beautiful feeling, man. I've been working so hard as far as like BMXing and then being at Nike for so long, working on shoes, working on apparel and whatnot. The color wave. Who came up with that color wave? Because that color wave brick by brick. It's crazy. That's what did it. That's what made it the sneaker. When I saw that shit, tell you the truth, I like hoarded them shits. How many pairs you got? Like I got like maybe like four pair, but I don't really wear them.
8:12Why not? I just look at them and call them the sneaker of the year. I don't know why some shit is like a museum hieroglyphic or some shit just yesterday my stylist was in my house getting some outfits for today and there he is I said yo Nigel Sylvester coming he said well maybe you want to wear the brick I said nah you know I don't really wear the brick by brick like that shit is special right there like you can't do you wear them like that I look at him I do that too he go I love that I love that. No, it's too fly. You made a hit, man. I love that. I appreciate that. And so, how would the... You seen a couple of colors and you was like, yo, this is it?
8:50No, we went into the process knowing we're going to do an all-red four. So, sat with the team. Shout out to Frank Cook. Shout out to my guy, Frank Cook. Frank, I'm waiting on my package, Paul. You want... All right, I'm going to tell y 'all something that's crazy, right? That's crazy you shout out Frank Cook, right? Because some white guy got on stage when we won Sneaker of the Year. He was like, yeah, He designed it. They was like, yo, the guy did. And I knew, allegedly, you know, I'm a sneaker collector that Frank Cook, you know, shefted up with you. But they had a white guy came on stage acting.
9:27That's that shit I'll tell you about. I don't know about all that. With music, somebody win a Grammy and the nigga come on. You never even met him in your life and he stands next to you and tells everybody how he did it. That's crazy. I had one of the moments with your sneaker. In Vegas. swear to my mother rest in peace I'm on stage sneaker of the year and they bring some white dude on stage with me and he took the credit and I'm sitting there with the dude and I know right I hope it wasn't Phil Knight no it wasn't it wasn't Phil Knight I'm telling you there's this shit I mean hey look sometimes I think Jaden Kiss he has a good time he really just don't listen to me right All I do is listen to you.
10:11Yo. All those things you been talking about. Yo, he don't listen. He's here. He's like, all right, cool. Right. Yo, bro, let me tell you something. The guy stood on stage and took credit. And I was just like looking because I knew you and Cook chef something up. And when I told Cook, Cook just started laughing. No, you got to laugh about that. I'm going to Frank. You got to laugh about that? You got to laugh about it, man. That's crazy. Yo, that's crazy. I was in a scandal. Like, they brought up the white guy. They was like, yo, he's responsible. I said, huh? You know, because I'm one of them.
10:52Yo, let me tell you something. Nobody owns me. Nobody owns me. That's a different type of thing. When you're not scared and nobody owns you, that's a different type of thing. Because me, I think my natural what I think. When the man come next to me, I'm like, This is the guy like in the Grammys where they bring the record guy who never met Cardi B, stands next to her and takes the credit for the Grammy. This and this and that. I say, oh, shit. So when I call Frank Cook, he didn't talk bad about the guy. He didn't say no. He just started laughing on the phone. He's like, word, they got a guy saying he did that.
11:25He's like, yo, Joe, that shit crazy. I mean, listen, we got the footage. No, y 'all didn't. Which we gonna release that soon because we're doing something else. I'm just trying to let you know the scandal that's behind the scenes. That's wild. The Skandal of the Chiefs. Like back then. Bridgerton. Because he's going to forget what he even asked you. I didn't take a couple reds. How did you get, how did y 'all nail that color? That color. Man, listen, so the first one that came back wasn't right at all. Uppers were too orange. Some of them were just too pale. And then we actually, on the second round, we got it right.
11:57And then we added that brick texture around the mud guard. And we knew we had one, bro. Like that. You know what I mean? Those second samples were insane. You know what I need, Nigel? I need the one that didn't make it. That's the ones I collect. Really? Samples? Yes. Samples, huh? He got them. He can bring it this way. I may have one side. I don't got the full pair, though. One sneaker? No, that's not going to be good enough. Right. I got to find out this side for you. You know, I told you. I told you. I told you.
12:31Yo, yo, we just want to let y 'all know 1800 is the fish you tequila of Joe and Jada. We doing it big right now. We keeping the 1800 to premiere tequila. And let me tell you something, this 1800 is something special. When me and Jada get on that 1800, it's fire. You can see we got the engraved special bottles. A staple known for craftsmanship and consistency. You know what I mean? 1800. 1800. bikes bikes man how did you fall in love with bikes right and at what age did you fall in love with bikes and have you ever got a bike stolen when you was a kid listen so I fell in love with bikes at four years old in my grandma's driveway grew up in Jamaica Queens my mom wrote crazy hours so I would spend a lot of time on my grandma's crib and one day we came outside and And it had a big wheel in the driveway.

16:28You know what I'm saying? man. Nah. You had a cowboy hat? No, I'm just saying I was a very bad individual. And I robbed people. I used to rob people. And even to this day, if I'll come out and they steal my car, I'll be like, that's the Bronco we stole in 88. It's going to come back. It is. It's a recycle. Karma is the realest shit in the world. Listen, I appreciate that. To more success. Yo, thank you so much. To keep more drops. Hold on, don't drink it yet. And can I get some of the power? Because I always get the sneakers and I don't ever get the gear.
29:05Yo, Chief's going to get them right. Come on, man. All right, love is love. Keep going, baby. Love is love. Whatever you do, never wear the low fruits. Yo, yo, yo, yo. Yo, this box is incredible. This is the first of a time, right? You know when you're getting money? No, I've never seen that. We did the brick by brick in a similar texture, but now we color flip. You're getting money, man. The brick by brick was the same way, but the box is like a center block. I'm talking about the fucking box, the design of the box. I've never seen this before. Look, they even gave you... You seen it before? They even get it.
29:40No, this ain't the regular joint. They even put a brace around your joints to keep them... Well, he did it the first time. Yeah, you know, some people don't nasty sneaker handle it. I don't keep the box. I just get rid of those. This is for the nasty sneaker handle. I got so much. You got to get to the box. You want to see what's going on? My shit's like a tidal wave. I can't even walk around the sneaker rooms. Like, I can't even walk around the sneaker rooms. How you move? You just float through them? It's embarrassing. No, I got to walk on top of sneakers boots. I've invented some new shit. I said, yo, it's turning warm.
30:08Let's take all the, you know how you take the Christmas awnings? Right. Let's take all the temps and throw them in the basement. I don't know how to think this shit no more. I come to my house every day with four pairs. So the only other person that I gifted already was MJ. MJ. I saw that. We went to Nashville. Right. Hold on. Right. So hold on. Let him talk. Right. So hold on. So a few weeks ago, I was down in Florida, met with MJ for breakfast, and I gifted him the first pair of brick after brick. Now, you guys have a second. to get gifted. Man, this is an honor, but we're true. Don't try this at home.
30:48Right, this is something different. No, no, we true sneaker collectors. We appreciate it. Right, so I know y 'all appreciate the moment. I was going, Reggie. Reggie knew you had something. Right, of course. Reggie knows what's going on, man. He know I can't come to empty hands. This is it. Right. I see all these kind of like nice, but they're fake color. I asked you last time. They're fake. They're like turquoise. They're fake colorways, bro. People are excited. They're just excited. They want to be part of the conversation, so they making purples and grays and blues and all of that. It was crazy, right?
31:18I asked him, he said that was fake. Some of them look good, though. But it's the brick by brick and it's the brick after brick. You feel me? Yo, yo, Nigel, being that we're so honored. Man. 100 million sold. There we go. 100 million sold. I was wondering what was going to happen. No, no, you know. The sneaker, yeah, what do you want, slow motion lick?
31:52Yo,
31:57yo, Rich. Yo, let me tell you something. Y 'all keep throwing the flags. You're blessed. Listen, y 'all keep throwing them flags from every direction. I'm going to start, oh, this is going to be assault in here. this borderline is tall T-Mac it be like this crazy shit came like this it be on my fucking forehead right nigga trying to kill me oh no this is nice right who's gonna wear them first me or you you gonna wear your shit today you think so nah yo we appreciate it so you were talking about the rollout man so what people don't know when it comes to these rollouts and the ideas and the creativity behind it That's coming from my side.
32:41You know what I mean? Like, I'm sitting there thinking about how... Oh, no, you got to work. Right, like, how I want to tell this story. This shit just don't happen. At all. Let him talk. We're thinking about how I want to tell the story, how I want to engage the people, community, and just bring these stories to life. That's super important for me. So even with Brick by Brick, fashion show, the Brick truck, all of that, like, cooked it up. And now with Brick after Brick, we're in the same type of... Same type of time. Same type of energy. So we did a claw machine in L.A. about two weeks ago. We had people come through.
33:12What's a claw machine? It's a sneaker claw machine. Oh, like when you play the little video game, you try to win the game, win the sneaker? We put the sneaker in the claw machine. I always thought those was a scam. Yours actually, somebody won. We had a bunch of winners. Yo, man. A bunch of winners. You know that machine that you play in the sneaker stores and you try to win the... I always touch my... I just don't touch nobody with no sneakers. Huh? The car. He did it in real life. Right. We had that in LA. And then we took over. He said, what about 28th Street? He might try to swap me out. Some funny money joint.
33:52Yeah. So we did that. And then we also took over the bikes on Nike campus. So all of the bikes on campus are now branded brick after brick bike air. And then we had the GC. Shit too far for me. I don't want to see them bikes. You got to go to campus, man. What's up, Joe? That shit's wrong. Portland like going to Alaska. No, I'm telling you. That flight damn near seven hours. You play if you fucking want. That shit is like, when I go, I gotta go. You got to. Somebody in Nike be like, Joe, we're having a special meeting, and we want you there. And I'm like, jeez. Gotta go. That shit like going overseas, that flight right there.
34:32So everybody got the bike. Right, got the bikes up there. Crazy. Man, thank you for the sneaker, man. That shit was awesome. man. And then also the Jeezy lookbook was super crazy. Oh, wow. Shot down at the Brooklyn Banks. Anything young Jeezy is fire. He's authentic. He don't do that type of shit. And I just thought he was rubbing paws.
34:59I thought he was just like, damn, Jeezy is unusually posting all day today. I'd never seen him post like that, but it was It was part of the rollout. It was part of the rollout. Just the timing was magic. Crazy. Also. Algorithm. Also. The algorithm. Also, part of what we're doing now, too, we got a record as well. Music. Let's go. A record called Break After. Ooh. I'm going to play it for the first time. Oh, we need to get started, James. Who got the record? Play it loud, too, because there's a wax system on this floor. Turn the volume up, because the record's crazy. I'm not getting a frizzy.
36:18Who gets the jack? Conductor. Conductor.
36:27Woo!
36:30He the only artist that inspires me. Crazy. 2026. Crazy. I ain't told God I want to write. You got the energy, man.
37:09That beat is crazy.
37:37Now you ready for the brick after Brick after brick, the brick, then the brick after This the school of hard knocks These niggas want skip classes This shit classic, homie wanted a brick I had a half hit and half that I didn't And mix matched them, I built this on the pavement From grandma's driveway to them stages Told mama retire, your boy made Fish scale fragrance Flew food jaking, saw his potential So I front when he came to get, I'm their favorite Triple platinum pyrex, spin it Make a nine stretch and jump to 13 I'm falling better like a side bet Nigel's on time sweats Prezi with the time set Kitchen in the spot Straight up architectural digest I digress Different kind of twists with this shit Can't name me a corner That we gonna miss with this shit From the trench to the sticks And the mix are legit It's strictly for the niggas That built it brick after brick after Brick after brick Brick after brick Brick after me Broke was a joke Dreaming through the laughter Kilt I got the coach on my back Put so much time in my role He needed a nap Brick after brick, the brick, then the brick, the brick, brick, brick, brick, brick, brick.
38:38I told my mama I was going to be there, shit, you could ask her. And now I got the kosher mom back. I put so much time in my patek, need a nap. They still chasing the last ones. Heavy is the hands that carry the Louis bags up. The first brick opened the door, but you're not a master. Until you get cooking with your eyes closed backwards. Now you're ready for the brick after.
39:02That's talk. world premiere. Safe to say that might be the hardest track I heard up here. Man. That shit. Yeah. That shit too perfect. Yeah. Yeah, man. Yo, but you knew, right? You... Thank you, brother. Thank you. Rick after, man. Let me ask you a question, right? Song might be the hottest shit we played up here. Let me explain something to you. It's just that and he paused and you already knew how did you know that was like you didn't even hear a voice you heard and it paused and I already seen your face your shit went like you knew what it was gonna sound like like did you know it was gonna sound like that I had it you had an idea when you heard the that's pretty crazy cause once I heard it I was like okay this that vintage did some shit Jay-Z would have ripped down back in the day.
40:05You know what I'm saying? He heard like two balls. It was like he knew something crazy was coming. I didn't know. But that's what we're talking about. That's why guys like you, you know, deserve everything you got. You understand the culture. You understand the streets. You're moving in a corporate setting but still know how to touch the third round. It's important though. you know what I mean? It's the most important. It's extremely important, bro. You don't understand that. So like think about what I do when I'm out riding my bike I'm outside in the streets riding all the time, right? Like I'm in neighborhoods all around New York City all around the world.
40:41So I'm interacting and appreciating what's going on around from the music to the food to the fashion. Different from a car and in the bike. Way different. Because you in the bike you hearing people you see what everything that's going on in the car we just drive by. You got your own music on. You think we're singing it. Yeah. You can engage more. I'm exposed to the elements. So I'm being inspired by everything I'm seeing. You get beat up and robbed off the bike too. I got to catch you first. No, that's a very dangerous position. No, I'm telling you. You got to catch him. You got to catch him. He might BMX that bitch.
41:17What I'm telling you, you're going to hit a motherfucker with the back tire. Bam! Keep it pushing. But it's dangerous in them streets riding around like that. that's a real deal. You got to keep two eyes open, man. No, you have to. Because you really, I know exactly, like, why do I know that? Because I'm always in the car, but I do know that you're outside. You hear everything. You see everything. Right. You know, when you're in the car, you know, you think you're driving through Yonkers or through the Bronx, but we're not really on the block with You know, there's a nigga on this on 149 for 30, got a truck, called B-T-Toto.
41:59He got the, yo, my man, he on Instagram, he got the Spanish steak with the fucking plot. I know it was in the fucking shit. I told Rich Player, yo, we going to 149th and 3rd for B-T-Toto. Rich Player said, oh, no, you not. No, Rich Player said, yo, you ain't going to that shit. That shit going to blow. Get the fuck out of here. I told him. I said, yo, but where I did go... Where you went? Right, because I've been on a real diet. you know you know health is everything so I've been like you know really really not eating carbs but that day I felt like a fat fuck like I really wanted to go back so I was about to go to 149th and 3rd to be Te Contoto he got a truck over there his food looks amazing but I went to Patsy's and Patsy told me that was recently two days ago okay we seen you at Patsy's my favorite pizza Mike go there let me tell you what I passed these pizza dip for me.
42:57I've been going there 40 years. I'm hanging out with the owner. The owner's my man, beautiful guy. And he said, make them a pie like you make it for me. That's what you got to do when you go there. It's a different type of pizza pie. It's different right there. Holy Christ! What's on it? It's the thinnest pizza you ever seen in your life. It's almost like a cracker, but it tastes like the shit is overcooked. Jesus! Christ, this is the best shit I ever Do it look like a real pie? It's the same pie but the owner, he makes them cook it for him like overcook it and it's the thin that shit is like you eating a cracker it's the best shit when you go say yo I want it like the owner they're gonna bring it out for you I never ate pizza like that and I eat Patsy's, I already love Patsy's but that shit they said there's a spot in Mount Vernon is really good Johnny's or something yeah somewhere it's up there Patsy's told me they know about you know we's talking about who's the best pizza shops and is it Luke Cali is it this this that and Johnny's and Mount Vernon Luke Cali's is crazy huh Luke Cali's is crazy it ain't fucking with Patsy's I can promise you it ain't fucking with Patsy's no way but When the owner of Patsy's tells me, yo, you ever been to Johnny's in Mount Vernon?
44:26I'm like, it's a little hole in the wall. Oh, man. Crazy? Yeah. They got Johnny's. They get bent. Joeandjadashow.com We got new merch. Fresh off the presses. Go get it. Bang. Out of bang. Bam. Joeandjadashow.com You can get these. A little call for a t-shirt. It's my favorite right there. I need an extra large. Showajadishow.com. Go there. Get it.
44:59And please don't ever. The one time I'm not supporting is if you come with them loafers on your feet. Yo, fam. I don't even know what that is. It's called a leaker. I didn't. It's a loafer in the street. I learned about those groups. The astronauts are wearing it right now going around the fucking moon. Mars. The astronauts are wearing them shit. They floating in the air right now. I think you know what to get Joe for his birthday. The loafers? Oh, no, I commit suicide. I will vomit. Custom pair. Who are some of the brothers you looked up to that were already competing in the bike space, you know, that you looked at and you was like, damn, I want to be nice like dumb?
45:40And so, believe it or not, man, I signed to Dave Merritt when I was 18. And Dave was a super legend, right? So for those of you who don't know who Dave Merritt is, He's like the Michael Jordan of BMX riding. Wow. Like, super legendary. Like, set the tone. Had video games and crazy endorsements. Won a bunch of X-Game gold medals. And I met him when I was 17. And he ended up signing when I was 18. Changed my life forever. Yeah. So, like, RIP. He passed away. He passed away. Young. Yeah, man. Yeah. Unfortunately. What was it, cancer? Yeah, CTE. from falling all the time on the bike. It's one of those situations.
46:21Shit. But I think Rich Player got CTE. You can't wish out on nobody, man. Yo, yo. You know how you see these movies? My wife always watching Lifetime. You know this channel, Lifetime? Yeah, we do. It's always the man kill the wife or the wife kill the man. She meet a side dude, get him killed. Whatever the case may be, We already toasted, brother. We can't toast 46 times. Listen, right? But my thing is, you see the Lifetime channel, the husband killed, it's the same shit. The husband killed the wife, the wife killed the husband. Why was I talking about this shit? Right. What was we saying before that?
47:08No, no. Because you know when a girl, everybody think everybody love each other, they're happy. When the girl died, when the woman died, They coming in. What's the problem with the husband? Was she cheating? Does he got to fucking wield this? I'm letting y 'all know if I die on the side of the highway, it was Rich playing a guard. CTE. Yo. It's CTE. Yo, how you going to wish that on your man's, bro? That's crazy. No, I'm telling you. No, I don't wish to die. He got it already. I'm going to warn you ahead of time. How you going to do that? I'm in the car with him. Is that what the fuck? I told you, man.
47:41I just said, Rich, why you sound so violent, buddy? I'm your friend here. He just, fuck that! Like, yo, is the CTE acting up again, Rich? Yeah. Because your shit. Your shit. Yeah. And they got that shit. But yo, listen, yo, Nigel. Oh, man. This is important. My brother. Thank you. When they dropping, when the bricks after dropping. When the brick afters drop in May. We can't lease the exact date just yet, but it's May 2027. Glad I caught him. You know what I mean? When you say something. Your shit gonna be a frenzy. I hope so. These kids, let me tell you something. That's the plan. At that, where you won sneaker of the year.
48:22It was the coolest shit because you was in the truck and they had you live and you was like, yo, I'm right outside. I got more sneakers and goodies. When I tell you, the whole two, 5 ,000 people, they left us. We was in there like a desert by itself. Come outside. the whole place got up and ran outside like that shit was over I seen the footage I was there I'm standing on stage, it's 5 ,000 people you was like, if you want the brick by brick you missed your chance come outside, we're just giving them the whole place you did what? still oh sneakers ass but people were outside hitting on the sneakers ass That shit was crazy.
49:10You said that shit. I've never seen a place clear out like that. I thought it was maced. They maced the place. Check this out. The footage is crazy. I've seen the footage. It was crazy. I was there. It was crazy. You know what I'm trying to tell you? They don't never believe I'm there. They think I'm capping. I'm on stage. You was on stage, man. You said, well, come outside. The whole place left. Cleared out. No, 5 ,000 people. Out of that bitch in one second. But that's the beautiful thing about what we're doing right now, man. Like, everything is focused on creating that energy. giving back to sneaker culture and making us exciting again.
49:42You know what I mean? So that's why we're building the rollout still with y 'all. Yeah, and they lost the excitement. You know, somebody like me that's been collecting for so long. I remember I went to, where was it? In Vegas? I don't want to say the name of it because it was good. No, no, because they were good people. They had like - Who? One of the sneaker conventions. I don't know if it's complex. I don't know if it's sneaker con. I don't know whatever it was. I went up in there and I felt like, cemetery. This was like last year. They had one of them conferences. I went up in there and I was like, they had nothing.
50:17They had no fluidity. No people around. I was looking like this. I ain't even going to lie. Sometimes. No, that was nice. That was a vibe. That was a hundred million percent better than the one I went to Vegas. It was like, you wanted to cry. you walk up in there I was like sheesh and that's why not to give it legs but that's why I start popping shit I try to tell people I want to battle them and this that just to bring that excitement just to bring this excitement back to sneaker culture because I was here at a time where now I'm not talking about resellers you know I got to the point he's like me right he actually he's dangerous He might, he's really addicted to buying sneakers like me.
51:10He'll tell me what's in my store before I know. It's like, yo, y 'all got the pink Air Max. I picked them shits up today. And it ain't just my store. He's in 10 stores in New York. Okay, kiss outside. He buys sneakers, right? But it felt like when kids were coming up to me, right? Because I start thinking I'm confused. Maybe the loafers are high. Yo, I'm confused. I ain't having that confused. These loafers are getting to run. These loafers are getting to run right now. Maybe the loafers is hot because a new sneaker come out. I've been waiting for it. And I'm like, yo, this color wave is crazy.
51:47And I have kids tell me in the store, oh, gee, they ain't reselling. They ain't hot. What's the shit? Like, do you like the sneaker? I gotta get what you like. Or does it gotta be reselled? This bullshit. This bullshit. I'm looking at a sneaker that I know for a fact. My eyes are telling me, yo, this is hard. You put a fucking outfit with this. You smashing them. And the kids is right next to me. The guys are supposed to love the sneakers. Like, ain't doing nothing. Ain't reselling. Yeah, anybody buying sneakers for different reasons. Huh? Everybody buying sneakers for different reasons. People wanting to get flies.
52:25People want to resell. You know how the game goes, man. You know, my man, rest in peace, because you here and you want sneaker of the year. so I got to mention Clark Kent, the great legendary Clark Kent. Shout out. What Clark Kent used to say, addicted to fresh, right? Right. Facts. That's it. Addicted to fresh. Shout out to Clark, man. R.I.P. This ain't that. That ain't this. It's cracking kiss, God damn it. Make some noise for Nigel Sylvester. Brick by motherfucking Brick. Brick after. Brick after. The shoe in the song is incredible. Crazy. This episode sponsored by Evie. Treat it, feel better, then start all over again.
53:06That was my pattern for years. I kept dealing with the same symptoms, getting the same treatments, and ending up right back where I started. That's when I found Evie. Evie is an at-home vaginal microbiome test that analyzes over 700 bacteria and fungi from a single swab. It goes far beyond traditional testing that only checks a few things. When I used Evie, I finally saw patterns that had never been explained to me before. Then a licensed clinician reviewed my results and created a personalized prescription care plan based on my actual microbiome. And for the first time, I wasn't just reacting.
53:43I had direction. Evie also isn't just data. It connects you to real clinical next steps based on your results. If you're tired of repeating the same cycle, this is where that changes. Visit Evie.com and take the Evie test at home today.

Fat Joe and Jadakiss are joined by Nigel Sylvester, BMX rider and Nike collaborator who just took home Sneaker of the Year for the Air Jordan 4 'Brick by Brick.' Nigel breaks down how the iconic red colorway came together, the new rollout strategy with Jeezy, what's coming with the new ‘Brick After Brick’ drop in May 2026, and he gifts Joe and Jada some of the FIRST pairs of the new kicks. He tells Joe and Jada about signing with BMX legend Dave Mirra at 18, growing up in Queens and developing a love for bikes in his grandmother's driveway, and the wild moment at ComplexCon when he announced free sneakers and 5,000 people cleared out of the building in seconds. Plus, Nigel premieres Stove God Cooks’ new track "Brick After" releasing in conjunction with the new sneaker, Joe claims to have “met the algorithm,” and they revisit their hatred of the loafer-sneaker hybrid.
