2:571 ,800. We love you, man. Thank you. Yo, let me tell you something.

3:18Yeah, yeah, what up, y 'all? It's Joe Crack the Dawn. You know who it is, your boy Jada. It's the Joe and Jada show. Every show legendary. Every show iconic. And you see what my man got on that shit. Nah, that's that. Let me tell you something. I was saving this for a rainy day. I knew our next guest was coming. I said, ah, fuck it. Let me just shit on her. Let me just throw that shit on her. You know what I'm saying? You know, she in the... Anyway, gag, gag, gag, gag, gag. Finish the rollout. When you think about today's guest, you think about a Miami-born force of nature who walked into this game with the city girls and never left the conversation.

4:03Think about an unapologetic voice who turned personal pain, public drama, and sheer resilience to lyrics that slap and stories that stick. Yeah. You know what I mean? You think about a woman who didn't just ride the wave. She created her own platform with Carisha Please, racked up hundreds of millions of streams, and built a mogul-level brand that stretches from music, acting, business, and fashion. You think about a great mother, survivor, tastemaker, than rising solo stars dropping the debut out. Full of true fun and straight Miami energy. Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for young Miami.

5:00Oh my God, that was an introductory piece. I got to re-say. I got to re-say y 'all, man. Carisha, please. Stop. Thank you. Yo, what's good with you, man? Yo, Carisha, let me tell you something. First of all, thank you for coming. Yeah. You know, his show is dedicated to hip hop, the hip hop culture, the hip hop experience. And you like, you love to do what we do. But when I said I'm coming over here to talk to you, I said, I want to know how Carisha grew up. Everybody knows Fat Joe grew up in the Bronx. He was a hustler, whatever. we all got our stories. I never heard how you really grew up, like how you grew up, what part of Miami, how did you grow up with your moms and pops there?

5:54Was, you know, what was it like coming to you? You mean you wouldn't love Billy? In the most, like, I want somebody to learn something from here. Opalaka. Let's hear about Opalaka. I grew up in Miami, Opalaka. I did grow up with a mommy there. My mom was a booster. she used to, you know, boost and sell her clothes out the trunk. My dad sold drugs. He was in the feds. They both was like in and out of the show, but they made sure I had a good life for the most part. But I grew up with a mom and dad, both was hustlers. And, you know, and my aunt run up his fast. So I grew up seeing mom boost. I grew up seeing dad sell drugs, but I grew up seeing hustlers, you know, doing whatever they got to do, eating dog shit to feed their kids.

6:43Yeah. You know, my studio, well, our studio is right by Opelaka. So believe it or not, for 20 years, I've been in that Opelaka area doing all my music down in Miami. So the Opelaka, that's where they got that big Haitian sign, right? The big Haitian flag. Or for the I-95, like 135th, right? Opelaka is 135th. Circle House and all that. So you grew up. In the streets, basically. You become a young lady, right? You had a baby at a young age, right? I had my baby when I was 19, yeah. That's about right.

7:25Actually, we give her a PhD for 19. Old school. I think that's kind of like, I feel like people have babies 15, 16, 17. Fact. I had my baby once I graduated school. Fact. You graduated school better. I ain't graduate. I told my mama this day. I ain't graduate. I don't like school, but I'm going to get my high school diploma. But after that, I ain't going to college, baby girl. I don't think college is for everybody. It's not. You know, college just prepare you for a job. And we bosses. Yeah. We don't know shit about being workers and nothing like that. So college, to me, it prepared you to be the best worker you could be, disciplined and all that.

8:09The only good thing I would say about college from my experience, I definitely didn't go to no fucking college. I got a doctorate, though. My experience is you can network and you meet, like, put it like that, like Michael Jordan's son went to college with these dudes and now they run his stores and all that. You know, it's great for networking. Besides that, you know, I've never been, I've been an entrepreneur since I'm 14 years old. I don't know how to work for somebody. Yeah. You know, so college to me, it ain't, yeah. I mean, you probably would have had a lot. You went to Atlanta the other day.

8:46The Atlanta College didn't turn that shit up. Yeah, I did. I love the HPUs. I think that like college is an experience. Sometimes I wish I went to college. That's the idea. I wish I just went for the experience. Yeah, I get that. I get that. You know what I'm saying? It looks like fun. I'd have fucked up in college. I'd have been out in six months. For sure. For sure. I would have been, what's my man from, uh, Tariq from Power. I'd have been hustling all in that shit. It'd have been like, yo, get... Well, I know somebody who hustled in college. But, you know, I... Yeah. Anyway, that's just... With all of that being said...

9:23Everybody stay in school. With all of that, we heard about, you know, your background, Oprah Valka. You turned in this new chapter, 32. With everything you accomplished, how does it feel now looking back? It feels great. I think that life is like a learning process. I think that we're going to continue to make mistakes as long as we're growing. And I always look at that back and be like, damn, I came so far into being where I am today. Like, I really take care of my family. Like, my mom and dad hustled to take care of me. And now I take care of my mom. And I love that. Like, when I look bad, my mom's going to drive a G-Wag in.

10:04Tell her what mama's pushing. She drives the same car as me. Right. she good. I just be like, damn, I love that for me because I watched her go so hard. She beautiful too. My mama is like one of those parents that does not play about her kids. Like her kids can't do no wrong. Sometimes I have to tell her, mom, I'm wrong. I'm wrong. It's okay to tell me wrong. Sometimes you got to tell, oh, my mom's the same way. It's like, it's okay. I'm wrong. I used to sit my mom down and I'd be like, because you know this rap game, this shit ugly. especially with social media and all that. So I would actually fly to Miami, sit down with my mom and be like, some bullshit is coming up or whatever.

10:47And she'd be like, man, fuck that. Let's go to war. Like, yeah, my, you know, my mom, she used to work in the numbers spot. So my mom's always been from the, you know, but I couldn't move my mother out the projects. I was rich. She would not move out the projects. So this time I spent Christmas double platinum New Year's with the limo outside the whole crew waiting on in the Jets. Happy New Year! Like yo J-Lo having a party let's get the fuck out of here. She wouldn't move till I finally told her I said yo ma they gonna which was a lie but I said yo ma they wanna kill me they gonna kill me if I keep coming here I'm telling you.

11:26They wanna kill me so I gassed and I went and bought the house in Miami but I used to go to my mom's I mean, just before she passed away, I was still just sitting down and like, yo, ma, I'm about to cease. You know, I'm about to set it off. We're about to get it. Well, why didn't she want to move? She loved her projects. That's all she knew. Yeah. She was there for 40 years before I was born. So my whole family existence was in the projects in the Bronx. So they thought that was it. You know what I mean? They didn't know no better. She was like somebody the whole neighborhood and the whole building loved.

12:03So it was like, you know, I can get it, but I can't get it. Now I'm pulling up. There's no way to front like I ain't rich. I'm pulling up in the half a million dollar cars and all that. The neighborhood know what it is with Joe Crack. And my mom's and pop sitting in front of the building talking shit, arguing with people. This and this and that. They acting like they don't know what's up. And I'm like, yo, y 'all got to go. Like, y 'all got to get the fuck up out of here. And I remember even when I went through, I said this, I think I said this to somebody. For sure you did. You know, I repeated all my shit, legendary.

12:43Same thing. I didn't care no matter what I went through in the world. I bought my mother and father a house. And the thing that made me the most proudest, and it wasn't even an ill house like that, but pulling up to my mom's and pop's house, knowing where we came from would always make me feel better than even me pulling up to a mansion or some shit like that. It was like, wow, I got my mom's house. Yeah. I think that's one of the best things. It's one of the best things. Taking care of your parents. I think that's going to always be a rewarding feeling. When did you know that you wanted to be in the entertainment business?

13:20I would say since high school. I was like, I don't know how I'm going to be famous and rich, but I'm going to get there. I was just always manifesting it because I knew I couldn't be. I ain't never have a desire to work, like, to work a job. So I wanted to be rich and famous and I always just felt that into myself. I can tell you this. I think women, certain women are born to live a certain lifestyle. You know, I remember when I was in the feds and FBC, they used to tell me stories about Trina and they used to be like, yo, when she was in high school, the planet Earth was pulling up to that high school, trying to get with her.

13:58Like, they knew she was top. I think you know, you know, there's something special about you when you feel like, all right, look, I'm going to make it on my own. I'll bust my ass, but I'm definitely going to live a certain lifestyle that I love. And that's what I feel like. I feel like I love and I enjoy that you live a great lifestyle and all that now, but I never felt like people understood, like, your upbringing. Like, I never... courted like that. Like, I never got the stories of people like, yo, I grew up with Karisha, or whatever the case may be. So now you here, man, success.

14:41Yo, yo, we just want to let y 'all know 1800 is the fish you tequila of Joe and Jada. We doing it big right now. We keeping it 1800 to premiere tequila. And let me tell you something, This 1800 is something special. When me and Jada get on that 1800, it's fire. You can see we got the engraved special bottles. A staple. Known for craftsmanship and consistency. You know what I mean? 1800. 1800. 1800.

15:15I used to hear, was that you or was it JT that they were shooting at the car and all that shit? That was me. My car got shot up. That was you. I was trying to shoot up my car. No, they was shooting at her. That's drench. You in the trenches. My car got shot up when I was six months pregnant. I was leaving. Yes. I was leaving Circle House. Motherfuckers just telling me like, yo, they shooting the city girls up. I said, yo, what? They like, yo, they shot the shit up. What's going on? I'm like, yo, fuck they? Six months pregnant? I was pregnant. That was the most traumatizing moment of my life. That shit was like, it was so...

15:52I remember that day like it was yesterday. Is there almost like a story? Were you dealing with a guy that was like had mad beef or something? I don't know. It was a lot of weird shit going on. It was so weird. They're shooting your car up. You the city girls. Six months pregnant. I had to get out and run. It was a lot. You had to get out and run? Yes, because they shot out my tires. No, they shot up a car. When I tried to press the gas, it wouldn't go. They shot out my tires. They was trying to get me. They was trying to off me, but... Yo, but what's wrong with... But you see, I always say that.

16:24He said I repeat myself, but I'm most likely to get killed in the Bronx at a Dunkin' Donuts. Than fucking anywhere in the world. I could be anywhere in the world, China, Africa, whatever. They not trying to kill me. When I go to the Bronx, that's when somebody who think they know me try to come out their face. It's always people you grow up with that feel like you won't do nothing serious to them no matter how serious you are. Some people make that mistake and they catch a L. Bad. Yeah. So that was you. Oh, no, they catch one. Bad. Like, bad. They catch that ketchup. Legendary. I don't play that shit.

17:06Did you have to move somewhere else? Like Atlanta, New York, somewhere? No, I stayed. I'm not going to lie. No, bro. I'm not leaving Miami. She grew up. They're shooting up the block. They're shooting up the car. Where are you going? I'm not leaving Miami. I can't leave Miami. I don't know if you could ever leave New York So where you went? Palm Beach or some shit? No, I stayed at my They shot my car, I leave the studio So I stayed at my house I took a flight to LA, I got out of there Because I was pregnant I had to call my doctor Hey, what's going on? But I went to LA But I'm in Miami I know you in Miami So that got resolved Yo, squash, be sober I hope so I don't know if I hope so I take that back Saucy Santana gonna have to step up Saucy Santana Saucy Santana he gonna have to step up for you

18:18I don't know what's wrong Oh, my God. Nah, that's your guy right there. He's going hard for you. Yes, you need people that go hard for you and your opponent that genuinely supports you. Like, he genuinely supports me. And he ain't like, when it comes to a man... Oh, yeah. He's going to step up. He ready to fight. He ready. He know how to fight. Like, yo, that man, so see Santana, fuck you up. Your career's over. I'm telling you the truth. Move on. each his own bottle of 1800. Yo, Lake, that's like Jack Carlos saying he's blacker now in the R &B shit. And now you're going to put Lake in it. Jack Carlos.

18:59That's my man, Jack Carlos. Jack Carlos. It's Jack Carlos. Call him Jack Carlos. Yo, that's my man, Jack Carlos. How you going to call him Jack Carlos? Oh, my God. Don't act like that boy wasn't on fire like two years ago and was selling out stadiums. He's going. What you want me to go? What were you talking? It's Jack Harlow. It's what? Jack Harlow. Man, he's a beautiful guy, man. That guy right there. I'm sorry he stumbled on some shit. But what happened?

I'm the host of Earsay, the Audible and iHeart Audiobook Club. This week on the podcast, I am sitting down with Ray Porter, the narrator of Andy Weir's audiobook project Hail Mary, massive sci-fi adventure about survival and science and what happens when you wake up alone very far from Earth. I really had to make a decision because I caught myself getting that frog in my throat and starting to get teary as I'm narrating some of these sections.

29:43And it's like, OK, yo, yo, yo, is this indulgent? And I really thought about it. I was like, no, at this point, it would kind of be betraying the trust the author and the listener have in telling this story if I don't go through it. But there's places in this book that deeply emotionally affected me. And I left it on the mic. That's great. Because it served the story. People will say like, oh my God, I cried at the end. It's like, yeah, dude, me too. Listen to Earsay, the Audible and iHeart Audiobook Club on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts.

30:19Man, I don't know. It's a lot of times where you from where that shit just, it's always where you from. Like me growing up, you know, I just kept, I just kept getting in trouble here in New York. I went to Miami. I never had a fight. Well, maybe one or two, but not really. But what do you do? What do you hang out in Miami? You be on the beach? I'm bougie in Miami. Here I'm the hood. So here I'm in Harlem, the Bronx, wherever. Wherever it's at, I'm here. In Miami, I'm still shirts. I'm on the other side. You know how they say the other side of the bridge? Yeah. Yeah, I don't know much about the hood.

30:56You're not really in Miami. Oh, no, I'm not in the hood. Oh, I've been to Rolex. I've been. Okay. Coco. Coco. Coco. you ever thought of. The bullet scar. The bullet scar stripping. K.O.D. I've been to all that shit. I've been in Miami. I was in the hood.

31:17No, I've been in Miami for real, but I'm bougie in Miami. You'll see me at no call home or this. The cops actually say hi to me in Miami. You ask the cop in New York, really not now. Now I'm an OG, but if you would have asked the cop in New York about Fat Joe, man, the type of things they would have told you. Then you ask the cop in Miami, they'd be like, oh, it's the greatest guy I ever seen. Yeah, that's Miami. He's at all the fundraisers. This guy is a great guy. Like, over here, that shit was like night and day. But when I had moved to Miami, I moved over there to live a peaceful life. I was like, yo, we can't come over here and start shit with everybody because we went down there deep.

32:03So when I moved, 30 of my dudes moved down there too. Like we was just super deep in Miami. And then, but I was telling everybody, yo, this is not the Terror Squad New York. Let's just chill. You know what I'm saying? Let's figure it out. So I seen the whole, the whole come up. The only guy who had me beat in Miami was Uncle Lou. His shit was popping way before I got out there. His shit. He's the king. Him, Uncle Al. You know, the first time I think I ever went to Miami, I seen Luke. He was... Uncle Luke. He had the dancers doing the city girls in the street. So it was like... What? Oh, yeah. What's the city girls?

32:50You know, busting it open and all that. That man, that man, that man... I remember... Hold on now. No. I'm telling you. Hit him with a flat. No, I got Instagram. Karisha, I got Instagram. I see you. I see you. What you see? In the club. Okay, wait, wait. What are we doing on Instagram? Putting that work in, putting that pain in. But listen, who cares? Luke would do that in the middle of the street. When Luke was popping, he'd take like a bunch of girls on the sidewalk. You be in South Beach and they be like, yo, Luke over there. And they just busting they open on us. You feel like you went. I think that was like back in the day.

33:38To Magic City. Yeah, way back. I'm old. I'm telling you about way back in the day. Yeah, I think it was like back, back. I don't even think there was City Girls. What you mean? Oh, no, y 'all wasn't. It was a boy. You was a baby. Yeah. I'm talking about when Luke had it popping. I'm that old that I used to go to Miami. You know what's crazy is one day we went to Miami, it was like very... Me and my brother, we rent... You know, I think everybody who just go to Miami for the first time, they rent the convertible Mustang and shit. The regular... You gotta get a Verc. The car... A what? Verc, man.

34:15You lived in Miami 20 years. What's a Verc? What you mean? Like the old school car with the Dunks? Yeah. I've been had that shit. That shit break down too much. I need new shit. I don't care if it's a Honda Accord new. I can't fuck with the... That's Miami, though. That's Miami. You gave your shit away? Bro, I drove that shit every two blocks. You got to make sure you built your shit up right. This, that. I gave that shit away. Matter of fact, I think Formaster Flex. Did I give you the form? I think I gave you the Formaster Flex. I was like, yo, I got an old school for you. I was done. I want to build me an old school.

34:49I have to. Well, you from Miami. That makes sense. And my shit ain't going to break down. No, my shit broke. It can't be old school. No, they always be on a side row. Because they be like, yo, is it really old school? So your motor got to be old, all that shit. You do that, you're stuck every three, four blocks. I had the flyest old school shit with the top of it. It was fucking like the Knicks. Royal Blue, Armaged, Convertible. It was the flyest old school shit in the world. That shit broke down every two blocks. They do. I was like, yo, that's it. Give me a Honda Accord, my nigga. And I had a convertible.

35:27so it didn't even have AC. So that shit in Miami. Yeah, that's another level. Some of the girls you vibe with, some of the girls you've looked up to and given you inspiration throughout your career, your life or whatever. I'm going to say Trina. I love Trina. I feel like Trina is the blueprint for me. I love the way she carry herself. I love the way that she respect it. I love how low-key she is and she's just a real-ass bitch all around. Like, Trina is my inspiration. Wow. And she from Miami. She put on for the crib, but she's a legend. Big up to Trina. Trina's a super legend. That's my girl.

36:07What's up, Trina? What's good? That's my girl, Trina. She's always been like you. She's been a hustler. She's been work. She work hard. Got a crib. She never hear no stories about she just taking her business. She's going to say that. She keep her face clean. She will be going to keep her face clean and buy her business. You know what's crazy? One day, I think I'm in Vegas, and I'm going through the TSA. And I'm hearing a little girl going back with the TSA, and I pull up. It's Trina. I grab her. I said, yo, sis, don't get these niggas that type of time. She was like, you know what, bro? You right.

36:45She just walked in. Boom. Trina don't play that shit. She don't play with nobody. Nah. She don't play that shit. New music. New album. who some of the people you worked with who some of the people you might want to work with some people that I might want to work with I want to work with Rihanna that's an excellent choice bing bing bing bing that's an excellent choice god damn it I want to work with Rihanna shit you see that boy Cali be going Cali go to fucking Barbados and be like, I want to smell the air, Rihanna. Like, your head name, boy, he want that, what's that shit? Wow, wow, wow. He want to talk to you with that.

37:33Yes, I would love to work with Rihanna. Chris Brown, Bryson Tiller, Brent Fias. That sound like an album right there. Yeah. You do all of them, that's an album, that's a nice album. Yeah. You never worked with Chris. I never worked with Chris. He lied to me, actually. he was actually supposed to do Good Love the song that's the city grass feature Usher he was supposed to do it that's you got Usher on there that's he was supposed to do it and then he never got around to it so Usher well I can tell you he ain't full of shit I can be honest Chris tell you listen I was I was down bad I'm in fucking Africa I got a show when I say I was ice cold that Chris Brown was on the show, all this, meaning I didn't have a hit at the time.

38:29Chris was like, yo, it's time we should do a song. I said, yo, Chris. Don't tell me. Chris is so talented. No, I tell him more. When you lie, you can't lie to Fat Joe. I said, Chris, I ain't asked you about this song. You telling me you want to do a song? He said, yo, send me this shit. And then we did the song Another Round. I sent it to him. He sent it right back. Oh, Another Round. That's my song. Another round. Another round. That's my song. Oh, yeah. Chris, I need one of those. Give me one of those. Oh, now I might have to have you call him, Joe. Well, I gave him the hook. You know, but he...

39:05Call him. You know how I came up with that hook was... And I want to say we came up with the hook. I'm not... You know, Lean Back Me, Make It Rain Me. Another round, I think I had help. but I used to go to this fucking Club Live every Sunday and Lil Wayne be right there and he had that song. He said, I want to fuck every girl in the world. I want to fuck every girl. And he used to be in there just pointing. I want to fuck. They play that record? What was that record? Fuck Every Girl in the World. Fuck Every Girl in the World? He used to be sitting in the next table and he'd be like, I think I could fuck every girl in the world and I was like, you and her, and her, and her, and you and her.

39:52That's how that song came out. It's right. It's crazy. But yo, Chris Brown keeps it real. He's going to keep it real. I remember, I got him to do the song with Rami. You need another round. You need to do another round with me. Wow. That'd be a great collab. Rihanna, on this album, what's the, do we got a title for the new album? Because I know you got the T and all that, right? Yeah. What's the deal with the red, cup, everything. Tell me what you're selling. So the red cup. Because you're selling something. The cars, the red cup. Yes. I'm like a walk-in aesthetic. So the red cup is like, whenever I go out, whenever I got my red cup, I know it's early.

40:29And I said, I said, damn, I'm going to, I'm going here kind of early to be in my red cup. Like I just woke up, but shit, I was bringing the vibes. When I have my red cup, that mean it's about to be a lit night. Oh, it's going over the top. That mean we going there. We going up. We about to have fun. so I used to have my red solo cups and I was like I need this shit to feel like me though because it was like my aesthetic like I need this it gotta be a part of my brand so I came up with my own red cups in this car a red cup type of night and you sell them people buying them yeah carishaplease.com carishaplease.com they come in a 10 pack a 20 pack you can get them online right now oh yeah you can get them online right now I heard that I brought y 'all some goodie bags too I got y 'all some I need cups I actually What's the cards?

41:52I know, but I'm not doing it. I'm not doing it. Not me, Ron. I can't play no Carisha, please. Carisha don't play that shit, man. They know that shit. Okay, well. Know what I'm saying? Yes, I said. You want to play the Carisha, please? No, I want to hear about that album. So she got that, she got cards. You want to hear about the album? No, I want to hear about what you're selling, the album. I want to hear about her. All right. Are you trying to say I'm over talking? I didn't say nothing you said. I didn't say anything. I didn't say anything. I have a new album that's coming this summer. And the album is so good.

42:35The album is good. I'm very excited about it. I think that it's going to show where I'm at in life. I get vulnerable on the album. I answer all the questions that people want to know. I get into all the things. I get vulnerable. I get open. And I think it just shows where I am in life right now. And I'm in a happy space. I am a healed woman in my new era. And I'm all right. Make some noise for that. Let me ask you a question. right? Because your biggest hits, but the biggest hit was more like booty music, right? Mm-hmm. Let me just explain something. I was there when they signed Flo Rida for the first time.

43:25Shout out to my family out there, E-Class, Freezy. But E-Class was a real Miami rapper. Like, he used to spit bars. I ain't never known E-Class rap. No, no, not E-Class, Flo Rida. Flo Rida came out, I want some cake for my birthday. I want my cake every day. Like, he was spitting. Like, just like Pitbull. Spitting. They caught that lick. And they never looked back to the bars and raps and shit like that. Like, you... I don't know why. Maybe I'm crazy, but I feel like... No, she got one. Oh, I got... That you want to... Like, I feel like you want to rap, rap. I don't know why. I want to have fun.

44:08I mean, I am rapping. I'm rapping. I'm going to play y 'all a song like I never heard I just feel like you want to rap I want to rap I want to pop my shit I want to talk about my life experiences I want to pop my shit I think music is therapy I think that's why music feels good to people it don't matter what you're going through it could be an anniversary, graduation anything you could put on music it can relate to a situation that you got going on And I think that that's kind of like what I did with my album. Yeah, it's fun. Yeah, it's Papa Pussy. Yes, Uncle Lou. It's all that. But I also got like some vulnerable moments on there.

44:48I also get open. Like, it's a lot of sides to me. I am always going to be a city girl, but I'm also a mom. I'm also a daughter. I'm also a woman. And I think that, you know, when you press play, it's fun. And you're going to share this to her. You're going to be like, damn, I wasn't expecting that from her. I didn't know she could speak like that. I know she had metaphors. I know she could articulate herself like that. See, I knew she wanted to spit. See? I knew she wanted to spit. I'm telling you, I knew she wanted to spit because what happens is, in this rap game, since the beginning of time, and I've been here since the beginning of time, you catch...

45:30You see this rainbow shit on, right there? Don't do that, bro. Come on. These niggas are sick. Flavius is sick. I like... I like that meat fur though. I ain't gonna lie. With the rainbow, with the rainbow Rolex. See, if I had it like that, I would give it to you. I was the type of nigga that if a girl says something like that, I might just give it to you. But to be honest with you, I ain't got it like that. You might get the his and hers. I'm gonna keep this shit on right now. Oh, no, the his and hers. Now we got, my daughter's, his, hers and hers. Hers and hers. So now this shit out of control right now.

46:02This shit is like bang, bang, bang, bang. Like, I gotta, this is a different type of thing going on now. That's what it's about. Oh, yeah. That's what it's about. Well, that's what it's about for me. You know what I'm saying? It's always been like, I just like, you see all my guys came today. They looking extra fly. They knew Carisha was in the building. Hey, guys. They can get best fits on. You know what I'm saying? Niggas looking splizzy out here. You know what I mean? They can't, you know what I'm saying? But that's what it's about. You know what I'm saying? Taking care of the family. How about taking care of the family after life?

46:37that's the illest shit because you don't want your family after life meaning I'm trying to tell you he mean after death after life now you confused alright she's right you're right after death but after death doesn't sound as good as after life I like God keeping together yeah because you like tell me about it Carissa, tell me about it, girl. This shit on fire. Netflix, number one. Oh, they sick out here. They ain't sick. You know, before we started doing podcasts, dudes was coming with white tees on in there, talking that shit. Where you from? You from Yonkers. like 15 minutes outside of this. Well, I never heard of Yonkers.

48:11They normally say like, that's Mary J. Blige. Queen. You heard of Mary. You heard of X. You heard of the Lodge. You heard of Yonkers, baby. That's it. Yeah, that's that real thing. You know one of them three. I know all of them. You know about Yonkers. Okay, Yonkers, period. Yonkers is like a gumbo. Yonkers got a little bit of everywhere in it. You go to the left. It's like the hood hood. If you take 9-5 to Boca, if you go the left route, y 'all get this fucked up. I've been to some shit in Miami where I done made the wrong turn on the highway. And man, let me tell you something. I had to call Cool and Dre so fast. We're like, how do I get out of here? They're like, yo, where you at? I'm like, yo, Fort Lauderdale, me to write. And you just out here riding bikes with those shoes on and everything.

49:32I was like, I'm in the Rolls Royce. I made the wrong turn, B. It's just like, yo, yo, yo. Where you at? What block? Make a left. Make a left. Make a right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I mean, that's a lot. it's like different hoods. Like, you know, you go to different little cities in every state. You got people everywhere. I could tell you they don't play in Miami. What's one of these songs we're going to hear right now? I want to play Spin It. See, the thing with... Tell them again, Natina. I want to play Spin It. The thing with Carisha is she got so much to talk about. Wait, y 'all drink? You drink? Oh, shit.

51:28Because it's like shot o 'clock. It's shot o 'clock. Yes, it's shot o 'clock. You gotta take a shot. Shot o 'clock. It's always shot o 'clock somewhere in the world. It's shot o 'clock. Why you on Joe and Jada? It's shot o 'clock. Why you on Joe and Jada? We're taking a shot. Listen, you gotta do it. Let me ask you, Sr. Carisha, when you do your podcast, do people just come there? This is a heavy drink two times. Yo. Two times. This shit, I won't make it to the wedding. I gotta go to a wedding later. Shut up, Pristine. I just finished my name. They gave me a gallon of$1 ,800. That shit, Are you crazy?

52:03They tried to finish. No. This right here? Yeah, man, man, man. Over the top records. Okay. Wow, wow, wow, wow. So, Carisha, what be... That shit is real. Cheers. Cheers. Try to finish. You said you want to... I said, because I'm a fan of your podcast. Mm-hmm. And I watch it. And do people just come there wanting to talk like that? or you just ask them the craziest shit? Red cup them. Red cup them. You red cup them? No, I don't red cup them. Look, you left. I'm not going to lie. It's the vibe. I do have like a little iceberg and you do got to drink. Like you got to, it's like. You got to drink on there.

52:44So Fat Joe's not a good contestant. Yeah, you are. You are. Because Carisha, please, is coming back and I actually want to, you know, get into the smoke with you. And the smoke is not always smoke. I can hear these guys say shit on me. Are we supposed to do some business? Yeah, we trying to do some business, man. Yeah, I mean, you know, the podcast is called that right now. We trying to do some business. We trying to find the right partner right now. Because everything got to be larger than life. That got laid through. Everything got to continue to go up. I don't know how much higher you want to take it, because when I look at your Instagram, you got the house on the water you this that that that the Birkins don't stop the this this this this is it that like if a guy you definitely not dating no broke guy now I'm dating my music right now right now I'm like hold up hold up Carissa please curve us I'm not asking you if you're actually dating I don't care.

53:55What I'm saying is a broke guy cannot come up to you and be like, yo, what's up, Karisha? And I'm saying right now, focus on my music right now, if a nigga not really coming, like, it's like, I'm 32 and I got two kids. So we gotta stop the small talk. Like, I want to have fun, but it's time to talk business. You know, it gotta be like, you gotta be able to do something for me. I gotta be able to learn from you. We gotta be able to help each other. I don't want no nigga that I can just... All my cousins are the one. Like, we can... Sex is sex, but it's like, we got to be able to, like, make money off each other.

54:30We got to be able to, like, communicate differently. Like, my communication is different. I don't want to just talk small talk. Like, I want to do mobile talk. Guys are paying too. I want to do mobile talk. I'm only trying to talk. Let me ask you something, Carisha. Guys are paying too, huh? I want to make love and keep making money. We from the old school, we would feel bad about paying for Uber. I want to know the guys now in a new school, they paying. Are they paying, Karisha? Paying what? I mean, would a guy meet you and be like, yo, I brought you a gift before he gave you a kiss on the cheek.

55:02Is that something? Because I'm hearing girls say this shit. They not Karisha. I know you 32. I'm with you. You should not be with no broke out. That's why I'm dating my music. I'm dating my career right now. Because... I just want to know if there's... I'm not with tricks. I want to know if there's tricks out there. There's a guy who's like, I really like you. Why don't when you go back to your hotel room, you just look at the bags I sent you in. They never even kissed you. They won't even shake your hand. At this point in my life, at this point in my life, I'm not going to lie. Like I do like bags and stuff, but I like tricks.

55:46I like some shit that's like mind blowing. I want to go baseball. Flood you out. Flood me out, yes. Flood me out. I want to go vacation in Italy in the middle of the water. I'm grown now. I want to go eat some shit I can't pronounce. I want to go eat some shit for the first time, baby. I want no bag. Now, if this ain't got nothing to do with you, is niggas tricking right now? Niggas is tricking. God damn. They don't fuck the game up. Who did it? The basketball place? Who fucked the game up? Because you used to be like, I like you. I'm going to take you to dinner. that we go to a movie like who fucked the game up okay I can tell you niggas be competing right you got the athletes competing with the rappers the rappers competing with the athletes so everybody going after the same bitches so everybody I can tell you right now the rappers ain't got the ball player money I can tell you that much cause they be bragging and I smoke some all the time I don't know I can't do the math when I'm looking when I'm judging guys they always talking about this money they got and this and this and that.

56:50I smoke them on every level. If we're in the same hotel, the God was smoking his boss. When I'm judging God. When I'm judging...

57:06So they all trying to impress each other. I mean... I'm not saying you, let's take you out of the equation because you're dating your music. I'm dating my music. Because guess what? It's dudes' tricks because they come around me

57:24She's trying to explain it. You ain't letting me. Oh my God. I need another shot. Another shot. $1 ,800. $1 ,800 to get you right. It'll get you better. Best in the world. Oh, he let it sit. This week on the podcast, I am sitting down with Ray Porter, the narrator of Andy Weir's audiobook Project Hail Mary, massive sci-fi adventure about survival and science and what happens when you wake up alone very far from Earth.

1:01:19I really had to make a decision because I caught myself getting that frog in my throat and starting to get teary as I'm narrating some of these sections. And it's like, okay, yo, yo, yo, is this indulgent? And I really thought about it. I was like, no, at this point, it would kind of be betraying the trust the author and the listener have in telling this story if I don't go through it. But there's places in this book that deeply emotionally affected me. And I left it on the mic. That's great. Because it served the story. People will say like, oh, my God, I cried at the end. It's like, yeah, dude, me too.

1:01:51Listen to Earsay, the Audible and iHeart Audiobook Club on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts.

1:02:03Track is ready. I know track is ready, but motherfucking want to hear that shit. You know what I'm saying? Because lately women... You never let me see it. Well, you never said it. Women have been making big claims out here, and they don't even have to be fair. They're just saying like, yo, like I told you, I like to trick on my wife, my daughter. So you be tricky. On my wife and my daughter. What's the biggest you ever trick? You don't even have a clue, girl. You don't have a clue. Tell me. I did shit, Nick. Man, I did shit. What's the most money you spent? I don't even know. I'm in the poor house because of this shit.

1:02:36You talking to the wrong motherfucker. No, I'm not, we're talking about a trick. I don't even talk, no, no, no, no. All my family, I don't think it's tricking. I'm convinced, Devin. You just said you be tricking. All my family. Now, what I'm saying to you is, these guys, let me tell you what the guys say to us. I never do that. I ain't paying no chicks this and this and that. I ain't this and that. But the girl get up on there. When you let one of them get on a podcast, they be like, y 'all, 50 or better, papa. Something got to come up. And I believe them. It's not cat. I'm looking at them. I'm like, oh, yeah.

1:03:16Because you might meet a gargoyle out there. One of them guys. I don't like treats. We call them stuck in the face. I don't like treats. You don't want a dude that's so ugly he's stuck in the face. He got to wake up in the morning. I don't like a nigga that I just got to come in front. You like an ugly guy? I don't. Will you let her say something, please? Anything. Amber Rose says she like ugly guys. She did? Yes. There's women who believe in they want to be with ugly guys. Where you seen that? I've been so at. Like, I know. So is she calling all this stuff? Anyway, I just got. No, she said. No, I ain't saying all that.

1:03:54Let's not violate the premises. I'm just saying, there's women that say they like ugly guys. Why would you think a woman likes ugly guys? I don't know. They need the money. I don't like no ugly ass man on top of me. Sorry, not sorry. I seen that young lady. I look at people in features, because we got to have a kid one day, and it's like features matter. That's that shit. That's that shit. No, not my match. Let me tell you something. One day, it was an all-star weekend. I did go in the strip club. Okay, you want me to throw a fake? I came out and I saw a girl that I thought, you know, we all thought was beautiful.

1:04:32She was with a gargoyle. A what? This guy was a monster. A gargoyle? Stuck in the face, like beyond. I never looked at that girl the same. Like I looked at her, I said, oh, what you got to do? That guy? For the bag and the watch and all? Like, you got to, like, that's, that's, is that a tough task? Ladies, I promise you, you have to get something out of these men more than, like, materialistic things, because Right now you're scaring me, Carissa, because everything you've been telling me is, like, you want property, you want a business, I just want access, like, I want something out of this world right now.

1:05:10No, I just want, I just want to date a man that it makes sense. Like, I don't want to just have sex. I think anybody can have sex. Like, I'm at a point in life where I want to date somebody that is beneficial both ways. Like, if we make love, I want to be able to make sure the kid is straight on both sides. Like, I don't just want to date to date. I'm too old for that. Yeah, but if you meet a guy... Girl, that loaf is older than you. Okay. I mean, listen, these men, these things ain't shit. So you got to get what you can. These men ain't shit, these things. No, they're not. Are you serious? No.

1:05:45Not by what you just said. They drinking, they buying$50 ,000 bets. That's all they're doing. that's better than buy bags that's not nothing you don't want no bag she want property go give me a podcast go build me a cosmetic line or something when the podcast change I'm out starting god damn I'm trying to have mogul talk I don't want to keep saying like what you like to eat what you like to do for fun that shit is boring what about a guy like yeah they do it they do it in the movies like a guy be like what's our first date look like if you like me let's go to Red Lobster I'm I'm not I'm not family okay you married yes okay but life is different now because it's digital talking it's not it's like a dating app nobody knows the yeah everything's on the app or button or phone I feel like Instagram is a dating app yeah the kids today don't know how to it's Definitely a dating app or whoring.

You look at it right now. I'm just afraid that some woman might not get to meet good men in 2026 because they just saying, yo, when a girl tells me, right, first of all, I'm far from single, but if I met a girl and I don't care how beautiful she is, and before we ever went on a date, she told me, fuck 50 ,000, I want a business, I want a this, I want a that.

1:09:08Do you hear this girl? I'd be like, man, what happened to love? My mother and father grew up with love. I mean, we're going to fall in love. What happened with me trying to talk to you and get to know you? And that's what I'm seeing right now. When you look at social media, it's direct to customer. That's not what I was saying. It's direct to customer. That's not what I was saying. You got to lie to yourself. I don't even think I could function if a girl said, yo, I need that bag. Like, I can't even work. This week on the podcast, I'm sitting down with Ray Porter, the narrator of Andy Weir's audiobook Project Hail Mary. Massive sci-fi adventure about survival and science and what happens when you wake up alone very far from Earth. I really had to make a decision because I caught myself getting that frog in my throat and starting to get teary as I'm narrating some of these sections. And it's like, OK, yo, yo, yo, is this indulgent? And I really thought about it.

1:26:01I was like, no, at this point, it would kind of be betraying the trust the author and the listener have in telling this story if I don't go through it. But there's places in this book that deeply emotionally affected me. And I left it on the mic. That's great. Because it served the story. People will say like, oh, my God, I cried at the end. It's like, yeah, dude, me too. Listen to Earsay, the Audible and iHeart Audiobook Club on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts.

1:27:53Don't say no more words. You got it right. I said it right. Don't just keep it right. I got it right. I got it correct. And believe it or not, I'm loving this Bruno Mars album. He got this one fucking song, that shit. After he did that to you? I don't give a fuck. You think I take these people serious? Bruno Mars flipped on. He went to talk to Bruno Mars and he wowed up. I don't give a fuck. I don't care about this shit. This is not personal. It's never been. But after this Miami album drop, that's going to be the shit. Oh, no, no, no. She working. You know what I mean? She working. Okay, for real.

1:28:37Honestly, because I like, you know, I like, I'm an interviewer too. Did you, when you heard T-Time, did you like T-Time? When you first heard the snippet. I understood it. You understood it. See, I'm a, this all would have started. No, no, no, hold on, hold on. This all would have started. It would have been like, Carisha please You know when I first looked at you I just knew you had to have me Oh baby

1:29:13That's the back of the You would have been talking like that back in the day Okay I just said that today I'm not gonna lie Carisha please I promise you I promise you today when I woke up because I, the music that I play will blow your mind. Okay. That you like on your own time? Yeah, I'm going to play five songs from my playlist and y 'all going to be like, oh shit. But I was saying, I was just like, music back then was so soulful. It had like a feeling and a meaning to it. I said, it had like an introduction to it. It was just like, I get lonely. Yeah. I get lonely. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Like they was talking, crying their heart out.

1:29:55now we're too prideful. It's like, I ain't gonna, no, bitch, put it on the floor. I'll get lonely. Like, on my knees, I'm begging you, please, call me back. You want that shit. Yes. You know, for you to even say that, it's just like, oh, it's a different time. It's the air. It's like, we need that back now. Like, we need that soulful music that talks to us, that speaks to us. And it's like, it's an intro. Like, baby, I'm on your voicemail and I'm telling you to bring your ass the fuck home. 1800 1800 Yo we got you off the 1800 1800 Jada is out of control You got some more stuff Going on out here in New York While you out here Yes I'm in New York I'm on my press run right now Yeah but don't do none of these other interviews Because they don't matter Okay they don't matter They don't matter I'm on my press run right now Hold on You wasted your time You understand You know Let me tell you something.

1:30:57You know, Lake, if you want to get Jack Carlos out the hot water, Jack Carlos right there. You bring that motherfucker here. Nah, Lake, know what I'm talking about. This is the spot. This is the destination. Anything else, blow them shits up. Get them out of here. It's a wrap. These guys looking like fucking dinosaurs. All these podcasts, they look like to the hip. Hot. Like, yo, my man, get the fuck up at it. Why you shooting with Sugar Hill? I love Sugar Hill. Shout out Leland and Sugar Hill. That's not what I mean. What I mean is, ever since we came, and this ain't our real set. Well, what about Carisha Please?

1:31:35The fluidity. Well, Carisha Please in the land of our own. We about to do some business. Don't worry. Carisha Please is on a land of our own. I love Carisha Please. How about I can't get enough and I need more? How about when I go to my house to put on Carisha Please at the TV? it's already been watched. Thank you. So I go up in there to watch it. My daughter already watched it. I watch Carisha Police each and every one of them. Some guys be saying some shit. You ever think some guys you interview want to get with you and so they say wow shit like to maybe try to impress you in there? Because some of them be saying...

1:32:12Or do you think it's the Red Cups? I think it'd be the Red Cups. I think it'd be the hookah in the Red Cups. The hookah in the Red Cups? I ain't had a Red Cups in the room. Did you have a guest on the show that you felt like he was saying some shit where he was trying to, like, talk you through the show? That's not much tea. You trying to get in a rat, dog. We don't do that on the show. I don't rat. No rat. I don't rat. So, I listen and I don't judge. Are you listening? Whatever you talk to me about on my couch, you stay between me and you. And 10 million people. Check this out. This ain't that?

1:32:52That ain't this. It's crack and kiss. God damn it. Give it up. Make some noise for Carisha.

1:33:01That was hilarious. I was going to ask you one thing, though. Okay, ask her. Keep the cameras rolling. Cam is still rolling. Tiana Taylor, she grew up around here. We so proud of her. She went to the Oscars. She had that Chanel shit on. legendary Natina back from the Austin. Yeah, Tina, I can't even hang. I got to get you security, but she had an incident where some guy might have pushed to shove the way. You might know the real story, right? Has that ever happened to you where you had to go off on somebody where it was pushing you on appropriate or something like that? No, but I think I react the same way because I think that, you know, like I said, as women, you got to handle us a certain way.

1:33:46It's a certain way you can handle a certain situation. So it's like, if we on a copy, I'm a woman. A man shouldn't be pushing you. A push me as such. Don't handle me like that. So shouts out to Tiana. Not only that, she the breakthrough star of the year. She's nominated and all that. She's everywhere. You know who the fuck she is. Yeah. You know, I hate that shit. They locked up Killer Mike at the Grammys. The man won three Grammys and they locked him up. Yo, listen. That was like a minute ago. I mean, I'm going to say something. That was three years ago. Hold on. It's the same thing No it ain't Killer Mike won three Grammys It was the biggest night for hip hop If they would have pushed him he would have pushed him back And they locked his ass up They know who Tiana Taylor is Let me explain something to you And I don't wanna Cause this man and me got different views This is why he's jaded Let's go Let me explain something to you Look at your camera crack chop Let me explain something to you and don't take this the wrong way because I love everybody and I don't care what realistically in this world I don't care if you super rich you super poor I don't hang out with rich bozos just because they billionaires I don't do none of that but let me tell you something you know when you not in your pay grade you know when you get$15 an hour and you trying to tell a millionaire billionaire person like yo yo bro stay in line I had an argument with TSA, nigga, he about this short.

1:35:19Like, I smacked the shit out of this thing. I had to, like, in the middle of the, I said, yo, yo, you are not allowed to talk to me. Go get the boss, because this nigga right here, he not allowed to talk to you. Like, imagine you walk by and you say, that guy talking to Fat Joe like that? And so they get around these places or positions where they think somehow, some way, Some way. They got some sort of authority, which you really don't. And so, you know, you know, start calling people ma 'am and miss and guys, sir. If they being respectful to you, be respectful to them and don't be mad at them.

1:36:03Because the thing we got is a whole lot of jealousy out here. Yes. That's the sad. I like to live a life. When my brother Callie throws an airplane and all, I don't give a fuck. I call him up and be like, get ahead. any one of my boys come out shitting, I'm like with him, every time I see him the first thing I ask him, yo, them chains is fine I don't give a fuck, I'm all about living the life and I don't think you should feel guilty that you live a life, that's my true instincts and what I believe and our father in the heart and heaven hallowed be thy name, there's always been clue, this ain't that that ain't this it's cracking kiss for the 36th time
