2:31Yo, what's up? Welcome to Kind of Funny Games Daily for Wednesday, September 30th, 2026. I'm one of your hosts, Blessing, Addy O.A. Jr. Joining me is the LaCroix Poppy, Tim Moe. Welcome to Yetis. Are we allowed to talk about the game we were just talking about? I don't think so. Okay. No, yeah, no. I'm very happy I said it that way, though. I'm, like, lost in time right now because we're working on Top 100, so I have no idea about embargoes and stuff. It's like, I'm staying out. I'm letting y 'all handle that right now. I mean, everybody knows right now is review season. which means at any point we could be playing any number of games.

3:02Any number of games. It is absolutely wild. It's been crazy to just be in the office and not even be talking to people, just hearing conversations happening. I don't think there's ever been this many side conversations that aren't content about different games. Oh, yeah. You have to kind of sit there for a second and be like, what are they talking about? You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. Which one is it? And it's across every platform. It's very, very cool to see. And I also think it's very interesting at, like, how much discrepancy there even is between people's opinions. Like, I feel like the split between people liking or not liking certain games is, like, wider than it normally is.

3:40See, I definitely agree with that. I, on the other hand, am surprised by how many games – I'm trying to – how do I say this without – I'll just talk about games I've reviewed so far in the last fall. How many games that I absolutely love? In a way where I'm like, I got to find something to give a 5 out of 10. Hey, somebody released a bad game for me so I can do one of the reviews that gets everybody mad. You know what I mean? I'm having such a good time with video games is what I'm saying right now. I mean, that's awesome, man. It's like, yeah, there's just so much good stuff out there. There's so much good stuff that it really does feel like it's impossible to get to at all.

4:19And I really have been listening to a lot of the reviews. And, you know, I know kind of of the team, like, who I relate to in terms of this genre or this genre and, like, how much I understand and, or at least not understand. I know, understand, but also can relate to personally, like, my taste to theirs. And it's just like, man, it's like there's so many games I'm hearing about that I'm like, oh, God, I really got to give that thing a shot. And the worst part is I know how much time you don't have because of Top 100 and all the things you got going on and you're not having a bathroom. I have been playing a lot of games and it's a shame how many of my babies I got to kill still there are games where I'm like I want to play you I want to play Ace Combat Wings of Thieves because I did the preview and I loved my preview but I look at it and I'm like I don't even have the time to think about playing this game because I'm reviewing a couple other games I'm doing Witcher Wednesdays with Greg I might be messing around with that A-Y-N-Thor a little bit here and there.

5:22I mentioned it briefly yesterday, but for no particular reason, I booted up Star Wars Episode 1 Racer. I'm like, A-Y-N-Thor, when was the last time you played that game? Dude, I think it was a week after Summer Game Fest, because that's right where, no, it was Game Awards, after they revealed Galactic Racer. I'm like, oh, well, I got the itch. I gotta go back. Dude, that game, I feel like it's, I think it ages better. Like, I think that it is, it gets better over time. Yeah. Because I remember we loved it for what it was. But now I'm playing it. I'm like, no, this is legit actually a great game.

5:55I can't believe it's on N64. And I know it came out on arcades as well. Yeah. And it was a Dreamcast version. Oh, yeah. Dreamcast version as well. But allegedly playing it on my AYN Thor. I'm like, dude, how did they do this back in the day? It is funny, though. Star Wars games, especially from that era, the N64, PS1 era, they were so cheating. because they legit were just using the songs from episode one. Just taking sounds from the movie. Just straight, the sounds, but like the music was like the actual orchestras from the London Symphony Orchestra. And like games back then were like, you know, N64, the sound shift.

6:31They weren't doing all that. They weren't doing it. And most of the time it was like just 30-second loops or whatever. But when the 30-second loops is Duel of the Fates, like, all right. The production value is off the charts, man. But yeah, so many games. Because I am like, you're talking about being stressed just thinking about Ace Combat. I'm getting stressed thinking about Phantom Blade Zero. Yeah. Castlevania. I'm Castlevania. Oh, my God. We are a day away from the demo. Are we really? Yeah. October 1st. My God. Oh, my goodness. Are you playing anything right now? I'm like actively, I'm literally telling myself, I only get to play games as like a treat when I finish big portions of Top 100 work.

7:10Yeah. I haven't had many of those. You know what? Fair enough. But there have been some games that I can't talk about that I have been jumping into when I get a chance. And I'm just loving it, man. Hell yeah. I'm just loving life. Well, we're going to talk about those games as the days go on. But remember, for now, if you're watching live, you can be a part of the show by super chatting in over on YouTube.com slash kindoffunnygames. We couldn't do this without our producers over on Patreon.com slash kindoffunny. So thank you to Omega Buster, Delaney the Psalm Twining, and Michael Pesavento. So for now, let's begin with what is and forever will be the Roper Report.

7:46It's time for some news. We have five stories today. A baker's dozen! Starting with our number one. Asha Sharma says Xbox is not for sale amid concerns Microsoft's gaming business is being streamlined for a spinoff. This is Ethan Gotch at Kotaku. Microsoft's big Xbox reset looks a lot like what a company might do if it wanted to exit the gaming business or spin off the division into a standalone entity. Amid concerns that mass layoffs and restructuring are a prelude to shopping Xbox around, CEO Asha Sharma remains adamant that's not the plan. Quote, Xbox is not for sale, Sharma told the New York Times in a new profile.

8:29We will do whatever it takes to set the company up for success, and we'll look at the right partnerships, the right operating model, and everything needed to achieve that, end quote. The answer, which the interviewer called a bob and weave, comes as many analysts are predicting an eventual divesture of Xbox. The gaming division has always been an awkward fit for Microsoft, whose other businesses, including cloud computing and AI, still dwarf it despite the massive$70 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard in 2023. As hardware sales have struggled and a big bet on Game Pass failed to materialize, the case for bailing has only grown stronger.

9:06Earlier this year, the information reported the information being an outlet. They reported existing discussions within Microsoft around the idea of spitting off Xbox. That could take the form of an outright sale to a separate entity, or it could just consist of Xbox being turned into a standalone subsidiary or joint venture with another company. The reason to do that would be to strip the expensive, high-risk, hit-driven gaming business off of the rest of the company's books and bolster Microsoft's financials in the process. Quote, we've got a long way to go with Microsoft, Sharma told the New York Times, and we're going to take the long-term view.

9:43End quote. We've talked a lot about this topic. Oh, yeah, sure have. How do you feel about Asha's response here about it? Irrelevant. This is just such a nothing thing. The whole New York Times fluff piece, it's just, all right. It just feels very out of place when we're covering the news the way we have been. Like for anybody that's actually like staying up to date with this and like covering the layoffs, understanding what's going on, understanding the choices being made. Just the way the New York Times article read, to me, hits a little weird. Like it hits in a way of just like reading through it.

10:20It's like, yeah, they're being honest and they're being consistent in what they're saying. It just all kind of comes from a place of like, I look at it and go, who cares? I don't believe anything being said here. I believe that this is true for right now, but I believe that at any second it can change. So it's almost irrelevant. Yeah. And it's like, I think that this is all quote unquote good news. And it's just kind of like trying to get the message out there to everybody of like, hey, no, this is what Xbox is. And these things are happening. but it's all for good reason, and it's going to be good.

10:52And it's like, we'll just have to wait and see how that all shakes out and how that happens, because right now, it's not good. Right now, teams are being laid off. And yes, they told us that that was going to happen. They told us that 3 ,000 people are going to get laid off. We didn't like it then, and we don't like it when it's happening. So it's kind of like this thing of, well, just because you said it, it was the plan, and you're going through with the plan that we didn't like. And I say we, maybe I should stop saying we. I'm going to say I don't like it for people that might want to get mad at that.

11:19Um, but it's just like, I don't know. This is just so just continuing. Like, yeah, Xbox is, is, uh, they're very, very keen on the marketing and, and pushing that, that Xbox is back. There's a return to Xbox and I can't blame them. They are trying. They're clearly trying. They're clearly, they have a vision that they're sticking to. We'll see where that takes them. But when it comes to like these statements, like Xbox is not for sale, even the immediate follow-up of it, of we'll like Xbox is not for sale. We'll do whatever it takes to set the company up for success, and we'll look at the right partnerships, the right operating model, and everything needed to achieve that.

11:53Even that part, it's just like, sounds like you're setting it up for sale. And it's just like, I believe that in this moment right now at 10, 12 a.m. on September 30th, no, they're trying to make it work within Microsoft. At any moment, Microsoft could be like, we're done, and then that changes. And so it's like, and that can happen with any company. That's true. But we're not talking about any company. She's being interviewed by the New York Times. This is a big headline today that we're talking about. So it's like, yeah, I'm going to look at it and be like, cool. It's not that I don't believe you.

12:24It's that I don't care because there's just no weight to this fact remaining a fact. Yeah, that's the thing is I wouldn't expect if you went to Ashtrauma right now and asked, hey, are you guys selling Xbox? Like in no world is she being like, yeah, we're thinking about it. You know what? Yeah. That's not the answer you give as the CEO of a company that right now maybe the plan is to keep this thing going. The plan is to keep the ship afloat. The plan is to make all these decisions to, you know, turn Xbox into the biggest gaming company ever. I'm going to highlight the exact same quote that you did, right?

12:57We will do whatever it takes to set the company up for success. Sometimes that does mean divestiture, right? When you're Microsoft and you have certain goals needed to hit, you have certain monetary things where it is, hey, our other divisions are doing this. Xbox, when we're looking at the scope of the video game business, is not competing with the other companies the way that we need it to and the way that we need to extract this much money from it. Hey, as Microsoft, if we find it more financially viable to either get rid of Xbox or even do some of the other things that are suggested toward the end of this article, right?

13:31partner with another company and make Xbox a joint venture or whatever options are on the table. Like, you can't look at me and tell me that Microsoft isn't looking at all the options that are on the table. No, especially in the world where AI is dominating the conversation from a company like Microsoft. Like, there's too much money being made right now, and it's just being thrown around, and it's, like, nonsense, but it's real. Yeah. Like, and it is driving decision-making. And if when there are companies that are struggling to maintain their relevance and their profitability and all that stuff, and then you're comparing that to this like rising star of disaster with AI and just the amount of money coming in and the amount of just Cold War push to just be the number one in the space, whatever.

14:17It's like, yeah, like there's the focus just isn't going to be on fixing the small potatoes problems. And that's the Microsoft perspective. That's eventually the NVIDIA perspective. That's the every single big the Google perspective. All the teams out there, Apple, that are pushing their AI platforms like. Everything else is going to take the hits. It's happening. It's already happening. This isn't a prediction. So, yeah. Yeah. It's like clearly they are not cutting off Xbox yet. They are allowing this reset to happen. There's the 100 day plan and the 200 day plan, 300 day. It's 100 days at a time.

14:51100 days at a time. um and like clearly i clearly i think we have we're me and you right are in a place with all this the microsoft xbox news where it doesn't it doesn't give us big confidence in like what that's going to look like five years from now as far as like the current form of xbox and turning that into something successful and i think it comes back to what we're talking about right as far as the microsoft aspect of it and how they likely look at xbox i think me and you when we talk about the video games part of it i think you know there are a lot of parts of the news of the last week where you know taking obsidian putting it under bethesda taking the studio putting it here that i am like okay that makes sense okay that makes sense i think the part where i just i can't reckon with uh as far as taking any positive sort of takeaway from it is laying off big portions of those teams because we know that video games take people to make um and that's the part that's tough for me to sit back and go, actually, everything's going to be okay.

15:56When it is, oh, you're making XYZ game, but you are, what's the studio that got half the team, World's Edge gets half the team laid off. Other teams within Xbox have portions, like big portions of their teams laid off. I don't know how to look at that and go, oh yeah, the next Doom is going to be better than the previous Doom, even though id Software had this many people cut from it. and so like I don't know for me that's a big part that makes this tough to reckon with that said like I'm I also am down to I guess have this tinge of hope that Xbox five years from now will be figured out and will be competitive and we'll have the Elder Scrolls that that I love and have like these titles that really bring back the business like at the end of the day I think me and you want these companies, specifically like the platforms in the games to be successful and be worthwhile because we love this shit.

16:56We love this shit. Yeah. And without it, there isn't games. Yep. There's not games to play. There's not games to talk about. And if there are, it's like it's not what the golden era is that we – whatever that means to you listening. It's like it will be different and I do not think that any of us are going to like it nearly as much. So, yeah, no, I'm right there with you. I do think that I am with you in the sense that I look at a lot of the decisions being made and I don't see them as bad. And I think that sometimes the attitude that I have talking about this stuff makes it seem like I think that every single thing they're doing, like that there's no winning for them and that it's impossible and all that stuff.

17:31A lot of it is just based on the fact that I've been there since day one of the Xbox, the original Xbox. and I've seen every decision they've made and I've seen when they are winning and I've seen when they are competing and I've seen when they are just straight up losing. And they have tried so many times to fix that loss and over time, they've put out so many amazing games. They put out so many amazing pieces of hardware. They've made a lot of great decisions, but they made key strategic errors too many times at too many wrong times. Like we've talked about a million times, as Phil Spencer himself on our show was talking about how them losing that shift to games, becoming digital and having digital libraries that put them in last place.

18:16And like struggling to get back from that and then doubling down on the game pass stuff to try to fix and offset this stuff. And then that being pulled from them. There just, there's been too many resets, whether they had this big fancy branding and new logo and stuff, they've just had too many reset points. And it still doesn't feel like there's a fully consistent vision that I'm like, Oh yeah, yeah, well, I do feel fully confident in this. There's a vision here. There's clearly a vision here, and they're continuing to make that more and more clear. I still don't think it's entirely clear. I still think that the fact that right now, Gears of War is exclusive and then Fable's not exclusive, I understand decisions were made before, but that's inconsistent.

18:55We're a step away. We still don't know that every Xbox game going forward is going to be exclusive. People want to assume that, and I would assume that based on how Ash is talking, But because everything's so inconsistent right now, it's like, yeah, every single thing being said, I'm kind of just like, all right. Yeah. All right. All right. Tim, I want to bring in some Super Chats for you. Michael Angelo, 5354, says, the plan is the plan until it isn't the plan. And that's how it is for PlayStation. Look, they fucked up royally this generation with the live service. This is not a tribalistic Xbox versus PlayStation.

19:31This is a, yo, these freaking suits are ruining our video games. They're making bad calls and they're setting things up to fail. And then they're just cutting things off at the knees when they're set up to succeed. It's like, it's tough shit, man. Like, we're in a really bad place when it comes to the first party big dogs. Yeah. Because then there's Nintendo, who I don't even need to bring up because y 'all already know I am a Nintendo fanboy. I've been through the ups. I've been through the downs. But guess what? They're in a fucking up right now. And they've been in one for a decade at this point.

20:03and they've been consistent in that decade while the other motherfuckers... You need to say more. Yeah. JBC says, I'm gonna keep it a buck. Back in our day, game announcements were for the fans and now announcements feel like they're for the shareholders. I mean, I think that's probably because you're in the weeds here, right, of video game news. You're listening to kind of funny games daily. You know, back in the day, I used to watch E3 and that was about it. And I would watch my favorite gaming YouTubers talk about top 10 fighting games. But the thing is, that's some rose-tinted glasses stuff because the E3 press conferences, those were for the shareholders.

20:37I mean, that is true. Those were literally pointing at graphs and being like – and it was just like people that were so out of touch announcing games. We just have memories of how amazing that stuff was. How amazing it was. It's all just about access. Like right now at every second, you open your phone, you're seeing new clips of video games. You're seeing people talk about video games. It's all there. Back in the day, it was like you had to wait. Once a month, you got a video game magazine. And then eventually it's like there was IGN and there's the internet and GameSpot and GameFAQs and all that stuff.

21:04It's like, cool, there's places to have conversation and there's places to learn about games or maybe watch trailers or all that stuff at a more active pace. Now it's like you literally can't get away from it. If you're interested in video games and online at all, come on. Yeah, like right now is the best time to like be in it for as just a fan of video games. because if you turned off KFGD, if you turn off people like us and the news sites that are talking about the real industry shit, I would look at the game releases and be like, wow, this is heaven. Games are coming out left and right. I tripped over at Ace Combat.

21:42Ah, shit, I'm about to fucking fall into Phantom Blade Zero. Oh, man, Wolverine's over there, and it's only okay, and I'm angry because it's only okay. It's not even bad. It's a six, it's a seven. If you weren't watching stuff, you wouldn't think it's only okay. You would think it's the greatest thing ever made. You would think that the fart trail ruined the entire industry. It's like, guys, let's get a grip. The fucking games are awesome. Get a grip, everybody. Kevob says, is Xbox not for sale like Halo Studios isn't? I don't know the reference. I'm sorry. Dexter Swarza says, y 'all want a freelancer?

22:16I'm available. Also, manage to secure Legend of Zelda orchestra tickets. Bloody brutal. Best of luck to you when it's available. Love you. Yeah, I heard that the SF tickets are going on sale in March. March next year. And the concert's in October next year. I heard that whatever venue they had for the UK one, they were like 5 ,000 seats, but you saw 12 ,000 people in the queue, waiting queue for tickets. I got it, dude. God, I need to go. Let's do another one from Aaron Limey says, Close to finishing Silent Hill Townfall. Great game slash story. Stealth is fun. but there is one enemy they got to patch the ai for because it would go up a whole point if it weren't so aggro also castlevania demo tonight hype let's go that's awesome i'm glad i like silent hill townfall being another one that i was interested in earlier in the year and now i'm like i just don't have the time i'm not gonna get to it but i'm happy that that's a game that seems like it's uh it's doing pretty well too um ejrpg says i just i i just need tim to know he's still one ally in the physical media war ordered the as i've written honkai star rail uh baldur's gate 3 free run and persona 1 plus 2 vinyls for my collection hell yeah oh he still has one ally i appreciate that and i'm just letting you know it's a very lonely life physical media war yeah Yeah.

23:46I mean, cherish it while you got it. Yeah. I don't know if it's going to be here for much longer. And then we'll do one more from JamVane who says, Birthday Tax, thanks to Kind of Funny and KHTD for being my middle of the day checkpoint during the work week. Excited for top 100. Hell yeah. You're going to love it, man. The more it's coming together, the more I'm like, oh my god. Hell yeah. Like, it's so fun because we've done so much stuff over the years, like however many years, 12 years into this whole thing. we've done so many just different events different just shows right like different studio reveals like kind of funny lives prom like all that stuff so we're kind of at the point that i can't say like y 'all ain't ready y 'all don't know what to expect because y 'all kind of do know what to expect but you know what to expect it's fucking awesome yeah you know what i mean oh yeah i can't wait it's like it's like insomniac you know what i mean they only put out bangers so they can't possibly put out something you can't possibly you can't possibly put out something that's i don't know why i have to wear it why did i do that why did i just say that i don't know man i like because you're kind of implying that the top 100 is going to be the next wolverine yeah oh no yeah um tim let's talk about something that makes us happy gta 6 yeah yeah but before we talk about it let me talk to you about our sponsors this episode's brought to you by proton vpn recently more and more content I've been trying to watch has given me this content isn't available in your region message.

25:49That's P-R-O-T-O-N-V-P-N.com slash kindoffunny for 70 % off your two-year plan. That's ProtonVPN.com slash kind of funny. And we're back with story number two. GTA 6 map officially twice as large as GTA 5, which I feel like we've reported on this story 5 million times. How many times are we going to say it's twice as big? You know what's crazy, though? It's like the size of the map. Like, how is that still a conversation we're having? I'm not even talking about just GTA. That was just such a 2004. PlayStation 3. like when Fuel I think it was Fuel that came out and had the biggest video game map of all time and then I bought Fuel and I went oh why am I playing this?

26:30Like that's a selling point Why is that? Why was that a selling point for me? And like cool I get that GTA 6 map being big cool but I'm also like I don't know man. I was looking for something smaller where would I look? Let me tell you the GTA 5 map is also pretty big if anything if they told me that the GTA 6 map was as big as the GTA 5 map but had more city space as opposed to just pure country, that would make me pop off. Yeah. Because that's the thing. GTA V's map is, like, so big, but so little of it, in my opinion, is used. Granted, Los Santos is still a big city, so I'm not complaining about that.

27:06Yeah. But I don't know, man. I don't really care about the size. What I care about is what you can do with the size. Let me tell you, the motion of the ocean. And GTA VI also features hurricanes and tropical storms, which is also how I describe how I do it. This is from Andy Robinson at Video Games Chronicle. Grant the Toto 6's map is twice the size of GTA 5's and will feature advanced weather systems like tropical storms and hurricanes. Tropical storms is wild. Come on. We're so back, baby. That's according to a new preview featured in the latest issue of Game Informer, which shares new details on, among other things, GTA 6's weather systems, which it says will, quote, achieve a sense of skill we haven't felt before, end quote, which also might be a line that I might use every now and then.

27:54I might be on my hinge.

27:59According to Rockstar, GTA 6 will feature a more dynamic and localized weather system in Leonida, the game's fictional version of Florida, allowing different areas on the map to experience dramatically different conditions at the same time. Players may be able to stand beneath clear skies in one part of Leonida while watching heavy rainfall just a short distance away, it claims. The system is said to be designed to reflect the unpredictable weather commonly experienced in Florida, where intense rain showers can occur alongside bright sunshine. Quote, we have re-engineered our weather system to make sure everything is much more localized and persistent, and really wanted the world to feel dynamically solid and achieve a sense of skill we haven't felt before.

28:40Owen Shepard, Vice President of Art for Lighting and Rendering at Rockstar, told Game Informer. I want to read that title one more time. The Vice President of Art for Lighting and Rendering at Rockstar, which means there is a president of art for lighting and rendering and a team for art for lighting and rendering, which for GTA 6 there should be. I don't know that that necessarily implies that but that is fair even the fact that has a team that goes all the way that up to the top is very very impressive I thought you were going to go a different route and just shout out Game Informer I don't know if we've already had this conversation but like how freaking cool is it that Game Informer got a GTA 6 cover story and like I know that people might be like Tim it's Game Informer Game Informer now is like 11 people they're just like us for wheels.

29:35Like, they pulled off something incredible here, and they just do this shit every month, or every other month, or whatever it is. I think it's 10 times a year, I think. I don't know. I think. I believe you. They're kicking ass. It's awesome. I love to see this. The world features new, fully dynamic cloudscapes that roll across the map. These give us a broad spectrum of weather from the clear blue skies of Miami winter to the vertiginous cumulonimbus clouds. with sporadic lighting that you see most afternoons in the Floridian summer and autumn. Rockstar has not revealed how frequently these major weather events will occur or how they may influence gameplay.

30:17According to the preview, during severe storms, players can expect water pouring from rooftops and lampposts while thunder and lightning illuminate the surrounding clouds. According to Rockstar Games' head of development slash co-studio head Aaron Garbutt, Leonida is the biggest map Rockstar has ever created by some degree, describing it as twice as large as GTA V with more detail. With more detail, god damn. Quote, this new world is different. We obsessed about every part, the rooftops, the alleys, the internals, and everything in between to the point we hit critical mass with the numbers of our interiors.

30:50And you start to feel the buildings are more real inside and out. This world is a cohesive whole with the density of content and a handcrafted quality to every bit. GTA 6's fictional state of Leonida will be divided into six main regions, Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grass Rivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Calaga National Park, each offering a distinct setting inspired by different parts of Florida. According to Rockstar, GTA 6 will feature over 170 animal species, including 60 types of birds, 30 land mammals, and sea creatures such as sharks, whales, and jellyfish. In terms of activities, the game will include base jumping, billiards, gyms, kayaking, mini golf, scuba diving, street and off-road racing, zoos, air boating, and jet skiing.

31:37And Tim, I want to start this off talking about the zoos. Wild. I mean, yeah. I mean, after Red Dead, right? It's like they have the skill set and they're like, hey, we can make these animals real dope. Yeah. It was so dope that we're going to have an area in the game where you just walk around and look at them. Yeah. Which I guess like, you know, Pokemon does it sometimes when you get to the Safari zone. Yeah. That front yard of the Safari zone, you usually a zone or usually a zoo. But imagine it now with handcrafted quality to every bit with density of content. The way they're talking, there's a level of confidence that they have.

32:09Every time we've heard anyone working on this game talk about this game, it's like really, really hype. And I understand, oh, Tim, it's GTA 6, and people are over it. I don't give a fuck, man. Y 'all are crazy. If you're hearing this stuff and you're not just like, we're about to get a generational product. I'm not saying it's going to be the best video game ever, but this is going to be a generational product. I'm starting to lose sight of caring about the video game part. I get it. I just want to walk around and look at shit now. Like, I'm at that point. Let's just go to the zoo. At that point, yeah.

32:43I'm going to the, oh, I'm for sure going to the zoo. I'm scared of, actually, I'm, how do you handle that as GTA 6? Do you let people fucking whip out an AK? Or do you go, no, just like walk around the zoo? Wow, you just went straight there. Because it's GTA. Yeah, man. You're right. Harambe. Oh, God. You went there. That's fucked up. that's real fucked up I'm excited though I'm excited I for one am not I'm putting away anything at the zoo I'm walking around the zoo and I'm legitimately looking at the animals I would hope so well what we've heard about GTA 6 is that it is going to be a bit more realistic where if you pull out a gun people are going to react you think the animals are going to react?

33:25no there's people at the zoo the people will react I don't think the fucking goddamn prairie dog

33:36Harambe's like, I've seen this before. Get down. Get down, everybody.

33:43Oh, my God. I'm sorry. Can you imagine the memes that are going to come out of GTA 6? Oh, my God, yeah. It's going to be insane. It's going to be off the chain. Does the weather do anything for you? It's a level of detail where I'm kind of like, dog, at least in the single player mode, I don't know if I need the weather to be different elsewhere. I guess if I'm changing characters. Oh, yeah, that is interesting. I like what they're saying here about, like, you could be in one place and out in the distance you see the weather's different. I like that just from a visual standpoint. Like, we saw the clip of Lucia jumping off of the building with the parachute, right?

34:24Yeah. And, like, you're seeing, like, way far out into the vista. I like the idea. Yeah, you're, like, seeing a thunderstorm cloud away from far off. Yeah, that's cool. That is pretty neat. And also, it's Florida. So it's like that is how that is, you know. I mean, even in San Francisco, driving from like out on the west side of the city, like driving up and then into Daly City, going past that. Like you see the line of fog. Oh, dude. You ever go to Pacifica? Yeah. Dude, the two times I've driven through like Pacifica, I didn't know if I was making it out. I thought I was in Silent Hill. Yeah, you're in Silent Hill.

34:55I thought I was in Turok. Like it's crazy out there. Yeah, fog of war just everywhere. so that's cool it is cool it's a level of detail I just need to be in the game to understand it to a certain point I read it and I'm like this all sounds cool am I going to notice it it sounds so deep to where I'm like damn it's overwhelming the amount of detail it sounds like they're putting into it but I appreciate about it so far from what I've seen but even something I appreciate about Red Dead Redemption 2 that I didn't play But anytime I see clips of it or anytime I watch like some of Andy's stream or whatever, it's like we all talk about the horse balls.

35:37Yeah. We all talk about them. Yeah. We're obsessed with these horse balls. Yeah. The point of the horse balls isn't the balls themselves. It's what the balls represent. It's the fact that the balls are this detailed. And that means that everything is that detailed. Yeah. So it's like you're not supposed to focus on the balls. You're supposed to just go and just take it all in. The amount of balls that are everywhere. The balls are everywhere. Yeah. The balls are the clouds. The balls are the rainstorms happening far off in the distance. So it's like, I don't know that I'm excited that the rainstorm is going to be happening in the distance.

36:09But I'm excited that that's happening, which means around me, everything's going to be that way. Yeah. You know? I'm excited. I know that somewhere, there will be a horse. In GTA? Oh, for sure, there's going to be a horse. And the balls will be growing and shrinking in that. Exactly. And let me tell you. This is what I'll say. I only need GTA 6 to do all this I don't need other games to follow suit It's strongly Oh yeah Because I know we talk about it all the time Or at least I say it And I think oftentimes people might not believe me Of like Hey Like I'm more gameplay first than anything I'm more like I don't really care for games to be this detailed I only care for GTA 6 to be this detailed Because they're going all the way with it It's the vision It's the vision of it Whereas like Hey other games It's okay We don't need to do all this I don't need the video games industry to tank because everybody's like, oh, let's be GTA 6.

36:59Just make your games fun. It's okay. Yeah. One super chat that came in, ReuterMO says, today I channeled my inner Tim Gettys and bought tickets to the Zelda concert in Stockholm. Beyond hype for it. You're going to have the best time, man. I can't even fathom going to a Zelda concert in a post Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom world. Yeah. That's insane to me. Yeah. Oh, my God. You went to the Sonic concert. Did that happen? I ended up not going. You didn't go? It's a whole thing. Whole thing, man. Whole thing. Oh, man. It's a whole thing. Wow. Oh, man. Hold on me. It's a whole thing.

37:36I'm sorry. I'm sorry to hear that. I did watch a lot of it on YouTube, though. Mm-hmm. I don't want to be a hater, but I will. Yeah. I'm really let down by this Sonic concert. Wow. Like, the Sonic Symphony was so peak, this looks like some cheap-ass bullshit. Wow. Yeah. Damn. And it's early, so maybe they'll fix it and stuff. But yeah, I got to keep it real. That shit looked bad. Man. One more super chat from Chance, who writes in and says, Hello to my favorite duo, unrelated but blessed. Don't stop repping Sonic. Speaking of Sonic, you take the words out of my mouth every time. Hell yeah. I appreciate it.

38:17I'm going to try my best. Sometimes I get scared to rep Sonic too hard because I don't know if I'm annoying about it or not. No, you're not. And like, I don't know what this says about me, Bless. Yeah. But everyone assumes that Sonic fans are just one thing. Yeah, that we're a monolith. But we're not. No. We're proof that Sonic fans can be multiple things. And I'm proud to be the type of fans we are. Come on. Which is still too far. Yeah, yeah. But we're not in the creepy way. I know what you're talking about. You know? You know, we're not in the unbathed way. I think they're in the unbathed way.

38:55It's crazy, but you're right, though. And I think that's true for many of video game fandom. Yes. Whether it be Sonic, whether it be Souls, whether it be Nier, whether it be— I'm not going to name all of them. There was one, and I was like, if you named it, I was going to call you out. Undertale? No. No, it rhymes with ingdom farts. Oh, yeah. Don't get me started on them. I was going to go into, like, fighting game community and stuff, right? Well, they're stinky. Out of all these different fandoms, there's, I'll venture to say even a majority of cool people in these fandoms. You can't let the Szechuan sauce, I'm going to get up on a table in McDonald's person, ruin the rest of the fandom for you.

39:36That's true. You know what I mean? But we should all use deodorant. We should all use deodorant, though. Please. Dear God, use deodorant and be chill. You know, go to the barber every now and then. And yeah, come on. Let's be cool. Let's be cool. Let's be cool. One more from Aaron Lime who says, Zelda concert tickets today, Castlevania concert tickets tomorrow. What's next? What concert would you guys want? They announced a Castlevania concert for next year for the 40th anniversary. And plus, Castlevania and Mega Man, they're two of those franchises where I'm like, I don't care if you haven't played a single goddamn game.

40:07The music is so, so, so good. Hell yeah. Yeah, I haven't seen where they're doing Castlevania. I think it's only like three stops, but I think one's LA. I would travel for Castlevania. Yeah? Oh, yeah. Me and Mike, we were talking about Castlevania the other day on KFGD. Neither of us have played through a Castlevania, but we're both excited for Belmont's Curse. Yeah, I think that's a good place for you to be. Hell, yeah. One day I'll go back and play Symphony of the Night. I got on my Vita, so maybe that'll be the way I do it. Symphony of the Night is a perfect example of a game that doesn't need a remake, but I think a remake would really serve it in terms of this generation of people that, like, didn't play it, but, like, want to and wouldn't love it.

40:44Need a reason to play it, probably. Story number three Halo's former creative director urges Activision to hire laid off Bungie slash Halo Studios devs This is Andy Robinson at Video Games Chronicle Halo's former creative director has urged Activision to hire former Bungie and Halo Studios staff to build the next game in the series which he says should maintain the shooter's sandbox DNA The Halo franchise was put under the Call of Duty publisher's control as part of widespread changes that Xbox announced earlier this month. Activision will take control of the Halo franchise going forwards with, quote, a new purpose-built Halo team that is separate from ongoing development and plans for Call of Duty.

41:26Former developer Halo Studios, meanwhile, will be downsized to a small team to support existing games. Frank O 'Connor, who worked on the Halo series for nearly 20 years as a writer and later franchise creative director, shared his thoughts on the future of the franchise in a LinkedIn post this weekend. O 'Connor ended the post by sharing some pro tips for Halo's new custodians. Quote, do not tie it to hardware slash services launch cycles. Do not try to force it into a shape or aging platform that it can't fit. And do not abandon sandbox, he wrote. Secondly, he urged Activision to hire Bungie slash Halo Studios and other laid off folk who are bursting with talent and ideas that got nerfed or shut down over the years.

42:09End quote. I'm a Frank O 'Connor stan. Love this dude. He's been around forever. He's one of those front-facing community guys for a franchise that matters a lot like Halo at a time that was so important. Halo 2 coming out, the multiplayer, the online, the leaderboards, the matchmaking. I forget what the website was called, but you can track all your leveling and stuff. Frank was putting out these weekly blogs. He was the face of Halo in a burgeoning online space with video games. And he knows Halo very, very, very well. So what he's saying here, I'm just like, yeah, I trust that he understands what Halo is.

42:48And him dropping sandbox. Do not abandon sandbox. You just played Halo Combat Evolved for the first time, Campaign Evolved for the first time. And you got to really experience that sandbox that Halo offers that differentiates it from Call of Duty or other. From linear shooters. Yeah, and it's like, yeah, that is so, so important for it. And I love the don't tie it to hardware and service launch cycles. Don't try to force it. It's like, yeah, man, that is, I think, a big reason why we've seen a lot of Halo failures in the last generation. And that it was an attempt to hit these things. They didn't even hit them.

43:20Halo Infinite was not a launch title for Xbox. Tough. Yeah, I want to see Halo be good. I want to see Halo come back. And I like that point of, you know, hire those folks who are laid off that are talented from Halo Studios and from Bungie and people that might have great ideas for the future of the platform. You know, like we want to see those people land in a good place. Story number four, Grasshopper splits from NetEase. This is from Sal Romano at Gamatsu. Grasshopper manufacturer has split from now former parent company NetEase Games. The company has announced NetEase Games acquired the developer from previous parent company Gung Ho Online Entertainment in 2021.

43:58here's a message from the studio and from Suda, quote this past February, Grasshopper Manufacture released its latest title, Romeo is a Dead Man, and celebrated its 28th anniversary in March thanks to the support of players worldwide Romeo is a Dead Man received high acclaim and great reviews did it? somebody look up the look up the Metacritic for that one from you real quick. Our whole studio would like to extend our sincerest thanks to everyone who enjoyed the game and everyone who worked tirelessly towards making its release possible. And to be fair, I reviewed Romeo's a Dead Man. I want to say I gave it a 5 out of 10.

44:43I will also say I enjoyed the game. I mean, just the quick Google thing, ratings on Steam, which is, you know, and actually, no, fuck these. The Steam user reviews? No, no, no, no, no. Where's, where's? Hold on. High acclaim. 72 on Metacritic says Eldane, which is higher than I would have expected actually. Yeah, 72. Okay, you know what? I'll give that to you. I'll say those are... What was the phrasing here? High acclaim and... Oh, here we go. High acclaim and great reviews. Because I don't know if they thought they were going to get a 72 on Metacritic. I mean, Game Informer gave it an 83. I don't know, dog.

45:23Hey, we all have our own opinions. We all, you know, we all, games hit us all different. That's what a review is. And so even if I didn't like it that much or if I didn't think it should score that high, I could see somebody else thinking. IGN gave it a seven. Okay, I could see that. Enjoyable game is what I'll say, despite many issues I had with it. Having finally completed this all-hands project, as we reflected on the next stage. I won't stop. I need to say this. Not to just dwell on this too much, but no. High acclaim and great reviews. there's no website that a 72 is great. I mean. Everyone that associates numbers, great's an eight.

46:02It's in the rhyme. 72, it's yellow. It's not red. That's good. It's not great. 72, I mean, if. Not great reviews. If 50 is like an average. It did receive some great reviews. I guess that is true. If 50 is average. You got a couple 95s. You get to 60, which is like, oh, it's good. And then for some people, like Suda, 70 could be great. No, it's not great. It's not great. This decision was reached after thorough discussions with NetEase and with their generous cooperation. We continue to cherish the amazing relationship our companies have built and look forward to further collaboration when the opportunity arises.

46:40Having improved our own self-publishing know-how, we now have a broad range of options available to us. And regardless of how our games may be published, we remain committed to creating unique titles featuring the no game, no life gaming experience expected of grasshopper manufacturer with our own signature flavor and further enhanced quality. I'm going to stop there and say, I'm such a fan of Suda and grasshopper. I played multiple, multiple of their games. I've never once heard of no game, no life. It's the way they describe their gaming experiences. I love them so much. I know that they close out saying, We hope you will continue to watch over Grasshopper as we make this next leap forward and move on to our upcoming 30th anniversary and beyond.

47:24We sincerely hope for and deeply appreciate your ongoing support for our studio and the titles we will create in the future. Hell yeah. Suda making games is a good thing. Oh yeah. And the continuing to is a great thing. Yes. I want him to never stop. Suda 51 is such, just like the reviews is good. Suda 51 is such a creative spirit. He has an identity and a signature style to the point where when that other game got announced that is releasing in like the next month that I can't remember the name of. The slightly musical one. The slightly musical one. I think it has dead in the title. Oh, it's going to haunt me.

48:03But like I look at that game and I go, oh, y 'all trying to make stupid never dies. Stupid never dies. Stupid never dies. I look at that game and I'm like, y 'all motherfuckers trying to make a Suda51 game. Like, that's the kind of identity that Suda51 has that comes through naturally in the games that he creates. It's the attitude. It's the style. It's the cussing. It's the fucking blood splurting everywhere. You know what a Suda51 game is, and I'll forever be a fan of those games, even when they're bad. And that's how you know that you got it as a creator, is that even when you're putting out bad shit, I'm going to still play that shit.

48:38No, I love that. That is so true. Yep. Tim? Mm-hmm. Suda continuing to make games is big for me. It is. But if I wanted something smaller, say the tiniest news I needed to know about, where would I go? You go to our last story, the Wii News channel, where we cover all the small news items you need to know about. Story number five, Wii News. Xbox has rolled out its physical disc to digital game feature that we talked about weeks ago when this first hit the scene. from steam's blog in early 2027 we were planning changes to how some promotions work on steam as we look to move away from a manual calendar based approach and into something more dynamic and personalized for each customer our goal with steam's discovery features is to show the right game to the right customer so we spent the last few months experimenting with replacing some curated spots with dynamic and personalized recommendations so that's so interesting because it sounds like a good thing and it probably is yeah but recently there was that playstation story about different people getting different prices for games and it's like it is a little concerning to think that like at a certain point ai is just going to be giving us stuff at a price with a deal with a sale or whatever that entices us to be like yes i'm gonna buy that thing yeah and like i don't know i i i'm I'm surprised they're communicating this.

49:59It's like, why not just change it? Like, see, in a weird way, I'm kind of like, why is this my business?

50:07Don't tell me you're looking into my window. Yeah. Just look into my window. It's one of those things for any other store. It's just like you log in one day, and then it's algorithm-based, and I don't really think much about it because I feel like so many stores are – everything's algorithm anyway at this point, right? Some of it's AI. But, like, I imagine that this is just going to be algorithmic. Oh, you play action games? we're going to feed you more action games for recommendations, which makes sense, and I don't think there's anything to make a hubbub about. The only interesting thing I find about this is how that changes things on the Steam side of making deals with devs to have their games appear on the front page.

50:42That seems like it'd be a revenue source for them, and I think it's interesting that they would cut that off to make it more of an algorithmic thing, which maybe says to them they can get more sales that way, which outweighs the amount of money that a party would give them. It's not going to be 100 % of it. And then at that point, the fewer spaces they have are worth even more. Yeah. But then at that point, why not just do a redesign of the front page and just drop it on us one day and have us get mad for a day? This will give them a lot of money, man. This shit works. I guess. I mean, it just does.

51:17I just think communicating it is like, not that communication is bad, because, yeah, communicate it to me. Cool. Yeah. But why? And why are you telling me this this early unless I'm missing something? I mean, it's not that far away. 2027? Early 2027? Yeah, I guess you're right. We're in 2026, right? Yeah. Damn. Yeah, I guess you're right. Starfox's free update is now available on Switch 2. It adds split screen and three new battle stages. October's PS Plus Essential free games are going to be F125 for PS5, Hunt Showdown 1896 for PS5, and Earth Defense Force World Brothers 2 for PS5 and PS4. Grave Seasons launches March 9th on Xbox and Game Pass, PS5, Switch, and PC.

52:01Anton Blast is coming to PS4 and PS5 on October 1st. Anton Blast is awesome. If you like the Wario Land games, you should definitely check this out. And if you haven't played a Wario Land game and you just like 2D platformers, if you like Nintendo games, but if you also like things that are a little bit weird, Anton Blast is a blast. I woke up to this, so I'd have to double check it to, like, reconfirm how serious he is. But I'm pretty sure when I first woke up this morning and opened my phone, I saw the developer tweet that he's making Anton Blast 2 and that he's yellow this time. He did tweet that, Tony Grayson.

52:34I don't know if he's serious or not, but that is one of those things where it could be because he was red in this one. Is yellow just him leaning more into the Wario land thing? No, no. I love Tony. I don't understand fully Tony, but I love Tony. But he grew up on Crash Bandicoot in a way that I could never understand. I respect the hell out of it. Like, he just, everything has a reason. Uh-huh. Like, every color and every, there's just, there's a lot of wacky in there. Okay. You know? Okay. So, I don't know. But I'm excited it's happening. You don't have any theories on what the yellow can mean?

53:09I do not. It's like a lantern situation where each color holds a different power source. Crimson Desert DLC Charting the Unknown has been delayed to October 29th. We got one from Noble. Valve's Deadlock got a new major update including a new night map update, six new heroes, accessibility features, and more. And then, a game about digging a hole sequel, a game about digging a hole together has been announced for Xbox, Game Pass, PS5, Switch 2, and PC. And that is it for Wii News. Now, we hop back into Super Chats where I think we actually, for the first time on a Blessing hosted show I've cleared the Super Chats.

53:52I've gotten through all the Super Chats. That's great. And so y 'all have a couple minutes because I'll hop over to You're Wrong. If you want to Super Chat in, we'll have a discussion about what you got in there. I'll look at chat and see if anybody has anything to talk about. Sick. Sick. I can't get into You're Wrong actually because I'm not locked in on the computer because I'm on Mike's account. I don't have his password. I can. I mean, Grezek says, heads up. Control Resonant had an update this morning, and now my save file won't load. Damn, I'm sorry for that, Grezek. That sucks. I don't know.

54:23That might be a you problem. You might need to figure that out. I've not seen anybody else mention that, but I guess that's a good heads up. Yeah. Stay safe out there. You don't like to hear that. I'm sorry that happened to you, Grezek. Hope you weren't that far into the game. But also that means you get to replay Control Resonant, and that's not the worst thing. Think of it that way. hey, it's a real good game and now you get to re-experience so much of that good game. Maybe you try out other builds. Maybe you get the hammer. Maybe you get the whip. There's a whip in that game. That's cool. I love whips, man.

54:51Yeah, that is frustrating though. Any interesting chats that stick out to you? None that don't piss me off, you know what I mean? Shout out D-Town Sandwich who wrote in with a super chat. Didn't say anything but just wrote in with a super chat. Luke Dawson says, I'm having the same tech issues blessed was happening with witcher 3 remastered also playing on ps5 maybe it's a known issue thank god it's not just me because i it really was one of those things where when you review a game and you get certain bugs and certain like weird uh performance things there's always the thought of like am i the only one i know and i tried to check around i couldn't find anybody else in the review period that was playing on ps5 like i was and so i'm like i'm gonna say on the review that these are the things that are happening to me and then just like let it linger there and It was my experience.

55:37But, yeah, it's good confirmation for me that somebody else is experiencing those things. I imagine they'll get fixed. Foxy Steve says, I'm considering playing Onimusha and Phantom Blade Zero back-to-back. I don't know if that's going to be a great idea or the worst idea. Because I will say that playing Wolverine right after Onimusha 100 % lessened my experience of Wolverine. They're both just such L1 to parry-ass action games. And Animusha just brought it, and Wolverine didn't for me. And that comparison definitely hindered my enjoyment of the combat of Wolverine, which is a big portion of that game.

56:22And so yeah, Phantom Blade Zero, I imagine, is going to be very similar to Animusha in terms of back-to-paste action. I imagine Phantom Blade Zero is probably also going to be a long game in the way that Onimusha. How long is Onimusha? Like 30 hours, I want to say? Maybe it took me 20 hours. Yeah, I think it's closer to the 20. It took me 20. But even still, it's like those games back to back. Phantom Blade, I expect that to kind of be a shorter, linear. Everything we've heard about it is kind of like it feels like hallway to boss, hallway to boss, hallway to boss. I'm going to say it's probably going to be 20 hours.

57:00but that's me building in how many times I'm going to die yeah exactly yeah I don't know man I think on the upper end I could see it being 30 to 40 like these games are always tough to tell like you never know how long nowadays a game is going to be because I feel like one of the tough things about this fall is that every new single player game is averaging out at 30 hours in a way where I'm like dog Control Resonant I thought maybe 15 30 hours later. I'm having a great time. I'm not complaining about it. Have you beat it yet? Yeah, I beat Control Resonant. Did you review it? 9. 9 out of 10. Wow, that's awesome.

57:39But also, the reasons why I gave it a 9 out of 10 and not a 9.5 or even a 10... Could have went even higher. They pushed updates for quite a few of my complaints. And so I feel like if I re-experienced the game now, I wonder if that would have balanced out. Interesting. That's great. Yeah, it's probably my game of the year currently. Oh, shit. Yeah, it's between that and 007 First Light still. Every day I go back and forth on which one, but Control has the highest highs. 007, man. 007's so good, and I feel like people don't give it the flowers it deserves. I think we will when it all comes down to it.

58:14Yeah. Kind of funny, I think we'll. Yeah, you're right. You're right. The Portland Kevin says, looking for big walk players, DM me on Discord. DTownSandwich says, we need more AYN Thor content. What front end are you using? I'm using Cocoon. You don't have an AYN Thor. I don't. No, I have a Retroid Pocket 5. Oh, hell yeah. We should do something with Wolfden someday. Oh, anytime. I love those. I want to get him on Games Daily. I feel like a lot of times when we want to collaborate with people, it's like Games Daily is the easiest place to just put somebody because we do it every day and it's just covering game news.

58:54but then you realize it's actually harder to cover game news than we give it credit for because we cover it every day. So we're up to date on stuff. We're in the conversations. We know the chat. We know what's going on. To drop some people in, it's just like, oh, y 'all have something to say about some of this and you just have nothing to say about certain things. But like Bob is in. When I hear him on podcasts or any clip or just YouTube videos, it's like, oh, this dude knows what's up and keeps up in a way that I'm like, oh, he'd fit right in with us. Dude, very briefly, Bob was in kind of like the OK Beast circles before.

59:30This is before I got hired at Kind of Funny and before Wolf Den became what Wolf Den is today, where they have so many subscribers. Us and then another channel named Fanatics 4, we were hanging out at PAX's and shit. That's awesome. I didn't know that. Yeah, we were trying to figure out how to synergize our channels with cross-collaboration type stuff. I forget the – there was like a word for it of when you have multiple channels that all kind of work together. Yeah. A normal boot situation from back in the day. I don't know if you remember that. Yes, I remember normal. Yeah, kind of like that.

59:58We were trying to figure out how to do all that, and I think we all just kind of blew up in our own separate ways. Yeah. So that didn't – That's rad, man. So cool. I remember getting dinner with him one time. He was more friends with Alex Van Aken than – I didn't know Bob that well. Alex Van Aken knew him pretty well. Yeah. But seemed like a pretty cool dude. I watch Wolton videos all the time. Like that's definitely one of my, anytime I have just free time and I'm like, I'm just going to put on some TV. Yeah. You know, I throw on. Throw on some Wolf Den. Yeah. People are saying cross-pollination synergy.

1:00:25No, I know. I'm talking about like, there's like a specific YouTube term. Network. I mean, it's like a network. MCN, but it's not really. It's like there's. Yeah. Yeah. Network would probably be the easiest way to describe it. Cozy Bear says maple syrup or Mrs. Butterworth. Mrs. Buttersworth. I thought Mrs. Buttersworth was maple syrup. Yeah. Am I crazy? Either way, the answer is Mrs. Buttersworth. I love it.

1:00:55I love these Mrs. Buttersworth. Oh, bless. Oh, bless. Oh, man. It's been a minute since I had some Mrs. Buttersworth, too. I'm going to warm up some waffles when I get home. Put it on my eye. Try to fucking warm conference and shit. random drinker says heat up a needle and poke your stye please on stream zoom zoomed in with nick nick on commentary that's such a gross way to describe nick nick loves the dr pimple popper bullshit oh does he he's really into that stuff um i don't think you're supposed to do that for a stye whatsoever because i pop my actual pimples whenever i get them all the time i love popping a pitbull.

1:01:34Popping a sty seems like it would be very painful and very anti-intuitive. Dude, that's not the way to go about a sty. Some game critic writes in, now we're getting the super chats in, as the review season ramps, how do y 'all juggle all the games you want to play? It's something I'm trying to manage. Thanks for all you do. You don't. You just kind of accept that you don't. And just find joy in whatever it is. And that means find joy in the games you're playing, but also find joy in the games you're not playing. Because at the moment it becomes a job, I know for us it is a job, but it's like, let's just be real.

1:02:05You play what you want to play. And don't play what you don't want to play. And even if you're wanting to play something, sometimes you're doing something else and your life's busy. You're like, I can't play right now. And sometimes you're like, my life's so busy. I need to play right now. Use games as a tool. A helpful tool. Yeah. I felt a sense of freedom earlier this month, maybe late last month, when I decided I'm gonna choose games for me and not just choose games for content because oh everybody's playing wolverine that means i should play wolverine i very much made the conscious decision to not play wolverine so i could play star wars zero company because i was just more in the mood for star wars zero company and i think picking games based off of what i want to play um has been beneficial to me actually like getting through the games and wanting to actually commit the time uh to them granted i know not everybody has that has that luxury because oftentimes you're assigned things but game choice definitely can affect things.

1:03:01And also, finding different types of games that aren't going to make it feel repetitive. Because I play Dude with Sword games all the time. An L1 to Perry Ass game, I'm playing those multiple times a year. And so when I played Onomusha, I kind of did have this sense of like, oh man, okay, I've been here, done that a little bit. But going from that to then ZCOM to then other games that I'm not going to talk about right here, it's been a nice flow of finding different things to not make it feel like I'm grinding the same kind of game over and over again. Okay, let's knock out these last two and then get out of here.

1:03:33Oh, I forgot to answer the what front end are you using. Cocoon to D-Town Sandwich. I'm using Cocoon for my EY and Thor. Afire Outside says, Anyone at KF playing slash reviewing RuneScape Dragon Wilds? Super addicting. I don't believe so. I was going to play it, but Mike wouldn't let me play it on stream. So everybody go blame Mike. Go blame Mike. That's a joke. I could play it if I wanted to. Yeah, of course. I just don't have the time. ZekeSpeak writes in and says, anyone have both AY and Thor and Steam Deck? Pros slash cons? I have both. Steam Deck is more powerful. If you want to play actual, like, AAA, sometimes, Steam games, get the Steam Deck for that stuff.

1:04:12If you're looking primarily for emulation, I think the AY and Thor is way better because it's more portable. Put it in your pocket. I like taking it when I'm taking the train to, like, Oakland or something. It's way easier to transport the EY and Thor, but yeah, you're using it more for emulation in really small-scale games like Bellacho or something like that, as opposed to the Steam Deck, which can run way more, but it is more bulkier. It's real bulky. Like, the Steam Deck is a decision to travel with. Yes. Tim, that wraps up today's episode of KFGD. I'm refreshing your wrong to make sure we're good, but it looks like we're good.

1:04:47We're getting there. Right after this is a shit list, but not with you. it's with me and Greg yeah I hate when I'm not on these I mean do you want to just join no it's okay you got things to do but I also I like listening to them when I'm not on it and also this is a fun category for you guys to get into because we're talking about the top 25 PlayStation 5 games of all time and so you're going to want to tune in for that it's a PSLWXOXO reunion episode so stay tuned and then after that we have more content coming at you but until next time Game Daily
