6:43But we can't say for sure what the exact environment was like or how far along the demoed build is. Paris, I assume, I have to assume you saw this go up yesterday. Yeah, I did. I did. And more of this, please. I think there's a new emphasis on Bethesda being more open about the projects that they're working on and kind of the current status of them is sorely needed and look we understand todd howard always likes to keep things close to the vest but uh i think there's a new administration over at xbox and they want but there's the talking more about their project so the fact that she was able to see elder scrolls 6 i think you know that keeps it top of mind that gets people excited about it i think first off let's let's actually see something from elder scrolls 6 it's great to hear that she saw it but i think i want to see something about it in the short term you know something this year but i guess the bigger question is how far along is elder scroll 6 is this something we can realistically expect in the next couple years i i would love for them to be more open about that and just kind of let us know where they are in the development because i'm trying to remember was it 2018 or 2016 that they originally oh my god unveiled this i mean it's been a long time yeah maybe it was 2018 it's just it's been a long ass time i guess is the point so to get any kind of update about other scrolls six is you know it's it's a good thing i mean when i think about xbox right now in the current state outside of minecraft this is probably their most important ip i i would think right because when you think about them i mean are they going to make it exclusive i mean who knows i i would assume at this point they probably are um if they're trying to sell consoles hardware etc this would be the game to do so so if it's coming out in the next few years and they can actually start being more open talking about it it's a good thing i mean

8:43Blessing Adeoye Jr.:people are being excited about this yeah i mean what minecraft call of duty uh world of warcraft i'll put up there as well but yeah elder scroll 6 i think holds a place of being this anticipation thing for the audience right like it's the game that so many of the the players are looking for i'd say we are all looking for right when you talk about what elder scrolls means to gamers and like what elder scrolls 5 skyrim did um i'll put it up there and i i'm like i'm in two places with it one i i think it's kind of refreshing to get a more um like i guess open bethesda right but that's a bit more communicative about like all right where are we at with this stuff on the other hand i i can't help but to see it as oh you're jangling keys in front of me in the way that like i think because elder scroll 6 holds such a place in gamers hearts it's been sort of this thing of all right not that every we're in this weird place of i feel like i had to relate every single xbox story in regards to the layoffs that have happened but that's kind of where we're at in 2026 especially still in summer 2026 we're only a month out from that happening but in the immediate follow-up to the layoffs they go oh by the way like fallout is happening and also oh obsidian's working on a fallout in elder scroll 6 and like i in the way that you mentioned elder scroll 6 is one of the most important ip here i think it also holds this thing that they see and go the more we can dangle elder scrolls six in front of people the more we can have them forget about the layoffs and like maybe they'll you know they won't even think about the gigantic rat that's hanging out outside of the but that's the studio right now and all that i know baron already had to put up on deck right like there is so much happening at xbox that we as media and people on the on the internet have talked about because there's been so much shit happening that yeah it feels like elder scrolls is kind of the thing that they put in front of us to make to make dance and make us forget a little bit yeah i don't disagree with you at all this is definitely a jangle the key keys moment to the very fact that you know we we saw the giant rat out in front of bethesda because that was a direct result of the layoffs and just how you know how current and you know former employees felt about all this layoff situation happening there so almost out of necessity i think they kind of needed to do this, which even if you take it a few weeks back, the fact that they had to be more open about what Bethesda projects are being worked on in lieu of all the layoffs that were happening, you know, across the org.

11:22So look, the layoffs are terrible, but we should never lose sight of that. And we should obviously still be vocal in talking about that. Absolutely. Uh, but when I look at it on the video game side of it, yeah, I guess it has been eight years since we've got any real update you know for elder scrolls 6 so it's nice to hear something anything about this game and that's the thing that i'm curious about because you mentioned

11:46Blessing Adeoye Jr.:can are we going to get more info can we get more info even this year right i wouldn't i'm sure i know we have this conversation all the time and i'm i'm curious now on what that marketing timeline looks like because when do we think realistically we get elder scrolls 6 right are we talking 2028 are we talking about 2029 are we talking about 2030 and in a in a Todd Howard controlled world when would we hear about it I would think you would hear about it six months before Elder Scrolls 6 comes out because that's how that studio traditionally likes to operate they like to hold their cards close to their chest and then once they're ready to release that's when we get the big deluge of information however with how Xbox has been moving I wouldn't be surprised if at game awards if at early next year we get a trailer for elder scroll 6 because that's that's the way they're doing this thing now yeah yeah i completely agree and that was kind of my thought i'm i'm thinking realistically 2029 you know hopeful 2028 this this game could come out but to your point i could see as early as the game rewards we get something yeah because you know with with the change in leadership they they want to be more vocal about the stuff that they're working on and they want people to understand where it is in the process so i could definitely see something as early as game rewards maybe as late as the june showcase of 2027 where they show us a middle school six just so that it stays top of mind so people know that this is being worked on i i don't think they would tempt fate and put a release date on it or even a release window but at least show us something because like going back to the original point this is probably top three most important IP in all of Xbox.

13:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. I saw some people in the chat asking, what is up with the rat? Chris Kerr over on Blue Sky put up a tweet saying that CWA union members have inflated a giant rat and deployed a wall of red flags representing laid off Xbox workers outside the Bethesda office in Rockville. The protest was timed to coincide with a visit from Asha Sharma, who's at the studio this day. And so as Asha Sharma was playing Elder Scrolls VI, this is what's happening. or this was what was happening outside of uh bethesda's studio so that's the context there um i believe i forget i think it was either aftermath or kotaku one of them had a good article up that was essentially like ashsharmer says it says um elder scroll 6 is good meanwhile like all this stuff is happening outside so um some context to be aware about paris let's move on to story number two disney confirms d23 kingdom hearts panel details And given who's on it, IGN believes it is Kingdom Hearts 4, or Kingdom Hearts 4 is getting some more details.

14:29I'm reading from Wesley Yenpool at IGN. Kingdom Hearts 4 news looks set for later this week after Disney confirmed the details of its Kingdom Hearts panel at Fan Convention D23. A live stream of the Deep Dive into Kingdom Hearts panel at D23 will be available on August 15th at 4.30pm Pacific Time. Disney said it'll offer a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the games, but it's who's on the panel that has fans excited for what is now expected news on Kingdom Hearts 4. The panel guests are Nana Gad from Disney and Pixar Games, Tai Yasue from Square Enix, Haley Joel Osment, who voices Sora, David Gallagher, who voices Riku, and Renee Johnson, who is behind the Disney character voices.

15:16With a panel like that, Yasue is believed to be co-director of Kingdom Hearts 4. You'd like to think we'll get something on the hotly anticipated sequel. Of course, Paris, me and you are the biggest Kingdom Hearts fans in the office. Actually, I don't know what you're... Do you have a history with Kingdom Hearts? I have somewhat of a history on it I wouldn't say I'm the biggest fan in the world but I understand its popularity and why people just go crazy over it yeah I'm in the same exact place Kingdom Hearts

15:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:One funny enough is like the one I fell in love with when I was a kid and then I didn't get around to Kingdom Hearts 2 until I was an adult and by then it was too late it passed me by I was like I'm not connecting with this in the way that it connected with Kingdom Hearts One can I bring something up yeah please can we talk about this uh panel announcement and the image that came along with it why does it look like jay leo uh hailey joel osmond is like like we're we're doing a memoriam for him like what's happening here why is he the only one with a black and white headshot here he's gonna be so weird he's gonna be a figment of like everybody's imagination and then we learn at the end of the panel you're telling me sora isn't real we're telling i'm telling you hailey joel osmond at the end of the movie isn't gonna be real oh no yeah the sixth sense situation here i mean this is cool i i i firmly believe we're getting kingdom hearts 4 like at this panel in fact at the announcement of this panel my first thought was oh shit they're probably gonna do kingdom hearts 4 here like coming off of the nintendo direct i i think it's that season i wouldn't be like would it be crazy paris barrett chat to say that we can get this game next year is that nuts no i don't i don't i don't i don't think it's nuts i don't think it's nuts and the fact that this is d23 this is disney's biggest you know single uh event of the year so it makes a lot of sense to show it here and put a release date on yeah especially with like how much we saw at yeah the nintendo direct right this uh this trailer that i'm showing right now uh played at right saw a lot from here we're ramping up with this panel it's been what kingdom hearts 3 came out the first year i worked it kind of funny i think so it's been seven years by the time this comes out if we're assuming next year it'll have been eight uh so i don't think it's crazy i could see this in like the kind of fall or latter half of the year especially with final fantasy 7 revelation coming in the first uh like three four months they said spring yeah so i could see that in april may and then this in sometime in october november next year so wood square because now that's what i was thinking final fantasy 7 so yeah that is the first half of of the year so wood square put out essentially two of their biggest ips in the same year that's a good question i here's the thing would they put out kingdom hearts 4 and and uh final fantasy 7 revelations in the same year i do think that'd be i don't think you need to however i think they would in different fiscal years i think if revelations comes out in march and then kingdom hearts 4 comes out in the fall right like you're able to get them in those different fiscal uh fiscal years and then like the your reports look good i i when that comes back however yeah like i don't know i think it'd be fascinating just for the end of year conversations when you get to like game awards and things like that of all right are these competing are these two games competing for game of the year are they competing for best rpg right you're talking about i know they're very different games but also similar genres of video games here and like they speak to the exact same audience in that way like if i could have like the choice if i'm square enix and i'm just like laying out the chess pieces i would say hey hold kingdom hearts 4 until 2028 even yeah what what does this do for you are you somebody who i know you're talking about like you have you have some history with it but you're not the biggest kingdom hearts person would you play kingdom hearts 4 yeah yeah i absolutely would i i definitely would like i said i'm not a super fan of it but yeah if the opportunity presents and i have the time i would definitely love to play it i love the blend of all the different characters that they bring in into this kind of game so yeah i would absolutely check it out yeah i i'm i wish i was in the same place kingdom hearts is one of those ones where you know fire emblem um fortune's weave is coming out soon and i'm excited for that and i don't feel like i need i need to know all of like the details and baggage and all the stuff fire emblem i look at that and i'm like oh this looks like something i can just hop into kingdom hearts even when i played kingdom hearts 2 i was like oh man i'm missing some context here i gotta i gotta learn what happened in chain of memory like let alone kingdom hearts 3 where i'm like well damn i didn't play dream drop distance i didn't play birth by sleep and all these other kingdom hearts games that I know are kind of required reading.

20:01Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Is there a world in which I could hop into Kingdom Hearts 4? I don't know if I can. Blessing, I see that, and I raise you. The moment you see Han Solo hanging out with Goofy, you're going to be like, yeah, I want that. When you see Tony Stark drop down in the Iron Man suit, telling Sora. With Buzz Lightyear. I don't know if I'm going to be alive. Which is why I think Obsidian is now doing one now, because it's going to be a long time before we get a Bethesda Fallout 5. So, yeah. I just hope that Obsidian one hits. Yeah, I hope so too. Let's move on to story number three. Ghost of Yote Complete Edition comes to PS5. I'm reading from Andrew Goffarb at the PlayStation blog. We're so excited to announce that even more new content is coming to Ghost of Yote. On October 1st, we'll have a new narrative expansion, new single-player combat survival mode, and new quality of life updates all coming in Ghost of Yote Complete Edition.

I love Ghost of Yote, and getting more content for it is absolutely on my radar. I don't know about October, though. That is, oh, I'm not going to have time. I'm just not going to have time. I mean, poor us, right? But yeah, this is very exciting. I mean, and going back to the first Ghost game, I mean, this is what Sucker Punch does. So I'm not surprised at all to see this, but it looks really, really good.

30:42So I'm definitely excited for it to come out. Yeah. Sucker Punch has been doing such an amazing job of supporting Ghost of Yotei.

30:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Like that game came out only not even a year ago at this point. and we're already talking about a second expansion if you count ghost of yote legends like that is a lot of content of course this is paid ghost of yote legends uh was free but getting this much content in the span of about a year very impressive but also i think it's unfortunate the timing like you talk about because even yote legends came out at a busy time too like they're launching marathon around that same time like you had a lot happening there and now you jump forward to october but i also wonder if it's if their thinking is there will never not be a busy time you know that that is very true as well i mean i guess that's how you have to think about it because this is essentially what two weeks after wolverine uh a week after control resonant a week before gears e day so it's just there's never going to be a good time you know to put it out now here's question i got about the pricing because i'm trying to wrap this around my head so if you didn't buy ghost of yote and you essentially wait until october you get everything for 70 bucks but if you bought it for 70 bucks you're gonna have to spend 15 more bucks to get this new content maybe it's just me seems about five dollars too high like maybe this should have been 10 bucks instead of 15 yeah i could see that yeah i it's funny because as i was reading this i saw complete edition for 70 and i was like damn that's a good deal and then i saw 15 upgrade i was like oh damn and like i don't know maybe the value there is that you got to play ghost of yote a year before people who picked up this i also i think i also look at legends as like a well that was free and so like maybe that balances it out a little bit as far as like what they're doing here with the post-launch content but i definitely feel you as far as like damn if you waited then you get this the complete edition for 70 dollars and now that's so much content for you there right yeah yeah absolutely yeah are you do you think you'll be able to find the time to play this or do you have the desire to check out the dlc here i have the desire the time is the problem there's just so much coming out starting really now like there's no breaks at all the rest of the year i i hope i can find some time by the end of the year maybe in december or something like that to you know to be able to jump into it and play i want to play it i i mean i i love ghost of yote so it is so the desire is absolutely there is just having time and who knows what the hell grand theft auto 6 is going to be and how much time that's going to take up at the end of the year but yeah i want to find the time to play it yeah yeah i'm right there with you like i for me it's a similar situation as doom the dark ages where leading up into that i was like man i would like to play doom the dark ages and then it came out and i was like i don't have the time i'm i'm playing xenoblade chronicles i'm playing these other games platoon raiders and stuff um and with this i think it's gonna be the same thing however i here's the thing right i'm not the biggest dlc expansion person like if i'm when i'm in the game i'm in the game and then after a year you ask me to come back and remember controls and stuff like that that's a harder sell for me however i am a roguelite mode person like god of war valhalla was such a wonderful way to come back to that game um last of us when they did the last of us um roguelite mode i forget if it was for two or one but um that was cool i didn't actually i didn't come back to that strongly but i remember doing the preview for it and really liking it i think it was two um and this most wanted i want to at least try out because i'm very curious about that i like when you take a combat system that is good and like find a way to create more systems around it and make you really lock in because god of war ragnarok i liked that combat and god of war valhalla i fell in love with the combat because they really pushed it in in interesting ways and made me enjoy weapons that I didn't enjoy using in the single player game or in the original game.

34:38Yeah, yeah, I totally feel you on that. And I think this definitely has the opportunity to do the same exact thing for it. Like I said, again, it comes back to time. And with it being a DLC, I've already played the base game. And there's just so many other things that are coming out in that window.
