0:40Hello gamers, welcome to kind of funny games daily for Thursday, May 28th, 2026. I'm Andy Cortez and I'm joined by snow bike, Mike, the McKeary counter Howard. Good morning, Andy. How are you? Hello, Michael. Big game tonight. Big game. Big guy. Your Spurs gear on. It's do or die. Game six in San Antonio, back against the wall. Didn't really show up last game. They kept it close. But I thought we were going to get within a couple of single digits there for a couple of moments in the fourth quarter. But didn't get there. You know, just frustrating all around. Yeah. Never was able to get momentum.

1:24Just constantly on the precipice of something happening. And then sloppy turnover. You know, bricking shots left and right. And somebody showed up. Huh? Somebody showed up. Your guy. Your guy. Who's your guy? Jared McCain. Jared McCain. There we go. He's doing TikTok dances. There we go. Your guy showed up. I was like, now Michael will remember his name. Yeah, exactly. He'll remember his name this time. Yeah, that was tough. That was tough to experience. But you know what? Spurs in seven. And if they don't win tonight, Spurs in nine. I'm really excited for this game. I think they're going to win at home.

2:03We're going to go game seven, which is going to be very exciting. Interesting to see. Okay. See, getting it done without number two, right? Jalen Williams is not out there. He's a bum. Bum. He's a bum. Batman and Robin, they need him. You know who showed up big, though, was Chet. Chet the Jet did show up big, finally. Chet the Jet's the tallest, the shortest tall guy I've ever seen in my life. This dude gets bodied by people four feet tall, shorter than him. It's unbelievable. You know, that's what they used to say about KD. Remember back in the day, he couldn't even put up to a 45 on either side on the bench.

2:36Yeah. But four inches taller than him. You're too lanky. You got to put some muscle. Unbelievable, dude. And Katie learned how to shoot. So that's I look at Chet and I'm like, how are you not just dominating? Anyway, that's enough of sports, everybody. If you're watching live, be a part of the show by super chatting on YouTube dot com forward slash kind of funny games. We couldn't do this without our producers on patreon.com forward slash kind of funny. So thank you to Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster, and Delaney the Psalm Twining. Mike, I know yesterday during the Kind of Funny podcast, you spoke about your jury duty and serving the nation.

3:17I have to serve my community. Yes, doing your civic duty. Yep. I got a text from a friend of the show, Rudy, who said, Mike asked me what to dress, how to dress at the where at at jury duty. What was the attire? The attire was pretty nice. You know, jeans, a nice top, you know, had to let the judge know that I needed to be back here with you. Gotcha. My best friend, because I said, sir, I have kind of funny games daily on Thursday with Andy. Right. I can't miss this because. Did you hear that, sir? They're going to announce a Witcher expansion And Andy's going to tweak out I need to be there You needed to be here to witness it I was really hoping that you wore The double windbreaker suit Just so you were the noisiest dude In the fucking courtroom I haven't worn that in a while As it's silent and there's deliberations You just hear Just making noise all over the dev courtroom Andy how do you feel Witcher expansion feeling pretty good Super pumped man A little let down is next year?

4:19No. So happy. Now you got time. So happy. I don't need you talking more shit about my Witcher adventures. Witcher 3 Adventure 2029. Give me another year for you to continue harassing me about playing the Witcher for my first time, even though you say this 28th time. How much longer do you think you got? Because you're on the final DLC now, right? I'm in the final stretch of this final DLC. Oh. But apparently the final stretch is like, it gives you one of them warnings. You start this, you can't go back, big dog. And I'm like, all right, shoot, I didn't realize that. And everybody's like, Andy, you think, I mean, this is the final stretch technically, but it's real long.

4:58So I got to assume maybe 10 more hours. Yeah, but then you got side content still to do, right? Which I will probably do, but here's the thing. When I beat the story, it's like, do I really want to do the Star Wars DLC after I beat the final shape? It's one of those things. Okay, okay. If I finish the DLC, the expansion of Blood and Wine, am I really want to, do I want to go back and do the exercise quest? I don't know. Dougie says, so Mike doesn't know Blood and Wine is like a whole new game. Oh, no, I do, Dougie. I'm just trying to tease Andy of like, he'll be playing The Witcher until August, you know?

5:32Yeah, yeah. And now at this pace, we'll be playing The Witcher until 2031. And I'll be all uptight. I'm just so sick of your ass. No deadlock. You know what? It doesn't matter. Because guess what? this October. You and I are going to be sitting down for Call of Duty. You see the title of the stream. I can't wait to talk all about it because Call of Duty getting that big reveal. And we're going to get into that news very, very soon. For now, let's begin with what is and forever will be the Roper Report.

7:0910 mics to your asses better be in formation north of the stadium. Borders are anytime, anyplace. Be ready. Sergeant J, keep your scouts in line. Those are some shiny-ass teeth. Dude, this is some good-looking teeth. Reflecting teeth. Can we make a pit stop at the coma, too? The new guy's low on rashes. This always looks good, man. Who's that? They got this level now. The new supreme leader of North Korea. Oh, shit. The character is always awesome. Of course, set Korea now. We're here in South Korea right now. Setting the tone.

7:53Man, Kim Jong-un doing shit. Did North Korea just fire some missiles at him? We'll find out. It wasn't the Russians.

8:08Always the big bombastic trailer that you wanted to set the tone here, Andy.

8:17Oh, man. Oh, shit. That's pretty sick. Oh, shit. Damn, they got their Times Square over there, too? Uh, no. Now we're jumping back and forth because guess who's here, Andy? And he's on the run. You're still a wanted man. Yeah. I don't know. Captain Price with a badass beard. Shit, that's him? We're calling him Dark Christ now. What the hell? He looked like John Bernthal. He's gone rogue, Andy. For the things that he did in the last campaign, he's now on the run. We make our own rules of engagement now. Wow, this looks fucking crazy. This looks fucking crazy. He exists. Will you do what you need, sir?

8:57Because you know I will. Time for a little bit of argy-bargy.

9:05Oh, damn it!

9:13Cather Price, you just got to retire, man. Hang it up. Cather Price isn't ready to retire. He's still got a story to tell. One last job. He's got to stop some things here. Of course, we're seeing the all-out warfare in Korea. We've gone over to Paris, you saw. New York as well. So jumping all around the globe with globe-shotting as always.

9:37UAB online Who's this Andrew? Oh shit No more rules Oh fuck Task Force 141 Ghost says hey Price we gotta have a conversation Big dog You've been on the run Wow Ghost gonna be hunting down Price Wow I mean Did you see the end right there? No Can we go back to the very end there? Something was shown right at the end there ready October 23rd what does this say here no right after this one

10:12DMZ first look they're bringing that back so we'll talk about DMZ here at the end I can't give you a lot of details but I will announce that the third part of my campaign multiplayer and DMZ so we'll talk about that at the very end but I'm not going to share any details about it I'm just going to tell you DMZ is coming that's my teaser for you you'll learn more about it later on But I will talk about campaign and multiplayer during our news story. Andy, let's get into it. Well, this year's Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 will be the first entry in the modern series to skip the PS4 and Xbox One, releasing only on current generation hardware.

10:49Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 launches globally on Xbox Series X, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch on Friday, October 23rd. Nintendo Switch 2. First time on a Nintendo product since Ghost in 2013. Holy cow. Can you believe that? That is crazy. Day and date on Switch 2, though, too. Wow. Get excited. That's fantastic. Announced today via an Activision livestream, developer Infinity Ward confirmed that its new gritty and authentic Call of Duty will be set in Korea and will also release on Nintendo Switch 2 for the first time. Modern Warfare 4's three main modes, as ever, are Campaign, Multiplayer, and DMZ.

11:26The game is described as, quote, a new technical benchmark for the franchise built exclusively for the latest generation consoles and PC. While Modern Warfare 4's new agile parkour mechanics are completely redesigned, Hipfire suggests welcome changes to the series. Its campaign story premise courts controversy. Set in modern-day South Korea, the newly appointed fictional supreme leader North Korea has invaded South Korea, plunging the peninsula into a deadly conflict. As a Korean journalist suggested to VGC contributor Tom Regan for The Guardian, this narrative depicting all-out war across Korea may prove divisive in the region.

12:09Quote, a full-scale invasion erupts in a new theater of war on the Korean peninsula, igniting a rapidly escalating crisis unlike anything the franchise has tackled before. Reads the synopsis for the game. Activision promises missions set in, quote, diverse global locations, including New York, Paris, and Mumbai. For this year's multiplayer suite, Infinity Ward says it'll deliver 12 core 6v6 maps on day one, alongside gunfight maps, multiple big war maps built for vehicle and infantry combat, and Kill Block, a, quote, dynamic battleground with more than 500 configurations that reshape routes, sight lines, and cover to keep players adapting round after round.

12:55Don't get me started like Kill Block, Andy. Don't get me started. It's exciting. For audio listeners, in my peripheral vision, I'm just seeing these sausage figures wave at me. They're so excited. There's a lot of movement over here, and Mike is jazzed about whatever this Kill Block mode is. And to round out the article coming over from Tom Regan at VGC, The headline gameplay change is, quote, Ballistic Authority, a new weapon first technology stack, which Infinity Ward says unifies precision aiming, physical handling, realistic audio propagation, enhanced visibility and smarter combat perception into the most authentic modern warfare gunplay yet.

13:38Snowbike Mike. Andy, you're jazzed. You went down there. You played a lot of stuff. more importantly you got to hang out with all the coolest creators shout out to Paladin Amber always fantastic always so sweet to the kind of funny crew shout out to Blue Thunder shout out to Blue Thunder right there got to hang out with some great ones Jay and Trey my dudes you guys met them back at Call of Duty next they're fantastic Dr. Disrespect no you're out so okay break this down for me Let's talk about it, Andy. So I went down to L.A. to visit Infinity Ward. Of course, the reveal was Modern Warfare 4. We sat down with the developers.

14:21Let me tell you, Andy, there's a lot of great energy in that room right now. There's two new studio heads. They're young. They're excited. They've been around with the team for a very long time, but this is like their first time, right? And so they're super excited to get their hands on this and be like, hey, this is the new vision of Modern Warfare and where we want to take it. They got a lot of young talent in the room. that was very exciting to talk about multiplayer and campaign and what they're doing. Of course, DMZ, we won't talk about that today, but that was the third mode announced. Launching on Switch 2 day and date is very exciting stuff, right?

14:56Didn't talk much about the Switch, but there was the, hey, we're going to try to do stuff with the Switch that you would expect. I'm sure we'll learn more all about that. We learned a lot about the campaign and I did go hands-on with the multiplayer, so we'll jump into it. We sat down, we watched the trailer together, We talked about the campaign, and I'll just say it right now. You know, me and Andy have been super high on the Call of Duty campaigns with Black Ops 6 and, of course, Modern Warfare 2019, right? Like, those are two standout recent campaigns where I was like, oh, these are must plays.

15:28Like, these are so good. You have to spend the time. And once again, watching that trailer, going through the missions, like we went through almost all of the campaign together. They were spoiling things left and right. Oh, shoot. And let me tell you, it's exciting. Like this is one of those bombastic over the top campaigns that you're going to want to play. And it's dual. You're going to jump into two different shoes here. Of course, there is dark price. We know captain price is now on the run. That's where you need to get that Jason Bourne mission impossible. Kind of like that stealth espionage feel that we've experienced now in black ops seven disavowed.

16:04Hey, I'm on the run. I did something that task force one first one for one. It's going to be calm price looking for him. of course now you're gonna get your favorite characters back just to to clarify and interrupt real quick the last campaign modern warfare miss well that was call of duty black ops 7 right so you got to remember we've done modern warfare 2019 then there was modern warfare 2 and then there was that third one i believe modern warfare 3 or 2 that we didn't like it was an add-on it felt like dlc with added co-op that one was a miss and then there was black ops 6 we loved black I got seven.

16:39We didn't love. Right. So it comes. It seems to be when you do two years back to back, that second one isn't hitting when you need to. I got Cold War was pretty decent as well. I thought that was a cold war. Wow. Great pull right there. And that was a long time ago. And so then on the flip side, you're going to be with Private Park, who is a young soldier. He's set in South Korea. He's a Korean soldier. You're going to be mixed in with some U.S. military as well. And it's his first time in combat. Right. So you're going to kind of get this dual experience of, hey, Captain Price is on the run. Oh, I'm with a first-time soldier here experiencing what it's like here.

17:13South Korea getting hit maybe by North Korea right there and setting the tone of what could happen with all-out war. I think both of them look great. The game continues with these cut scenes that they're making and all the character models. It looks so good, Andy. It's over the top. They were showing us the, you saw a car chase, like what, maybe in Paris, and it looked fantastic. hanging out the side of the window, blasting other cars. It was awesome. And so I expect big things from the campaign. If you're a campaign person like myself, I think this will be a return to form like call of duty, 2019 and black ops six, where you're like, Oh wow.

17:50This was a must play popcorn action flick. Now, last time we, we had Paris Lily on the show and it was you, me and Paris and I forget who else for a games cast, but I, maybe it was a fantasy critic roundup. Okay. Just kind of a, let's look at our fantasy. Right. And for those y 'all don't know what fantasy critic is, we pick video games throughout the year to add to our team and whatever games score the best, we get the most points, basically fantasy sports for, for video games. And Paris Lily mentioned he has the untitled. Oh, modern warfare team. He did take that call, dude. Yeah. And he made a statement that made us all kind of giggle because he said something to the effect of, I think this could be something like a return to form for call.

18:45Like this could be the big one that call duty. Finally really, really nails infinity ward is back. You know, they're going to, and you made the sort of rebuttal of like, man, we say that every year, don't we right now? You just said, this could be a return to form when you were in that room. is there a buzz is there an excitement or is this just a okay they're making another one of these so let's switch to multiplayer because that's where we went hands-on and we'll talk about the buzz at the end of it all right so then we switch to multiplayer which feels like this blend of 2019 and modern warfare 3 right there's this like speed flow but also tactical sense to it it didn't feel like, hey, we're slide canceling, bouncing off the walls like we've gotten to.

19:33It did feel like, hey, we're bringing that back to ground zero, but we're also keeping a lot of that, right? They really wanted to touch on a lot of the stuff that they added with the slide tech and grappling legends. Of course, we've seen now that you can grapple on the legends, kind of hold on. They really showed off that you can now aim, like shoot. Yeah, mantle. You're like on the side of a car, holding on, mantling over and shooting, right? And then he's shimmy-shaking on it, left and right but then they also showed up like hey like we noticed that the mantle felt slow because we add on to like really hold on so now they've made an even more fluid mantle where it feels like hey i grabbed this and i'm just putting myself up and over real fast right they even showed off now with the slide you can mantle onto a car climb up and over and then slide off the hood of it and keep the speed and momentum so there was like this perfect blend of the speed that you know Call of Duty is at now, but also the, hey, we're slowing this down for the tactical players.

20:30It really showed off the tactical players and like kind of the speed and fluid players. And it's like, I'm the tactical guy. I am slow. Was there a fluidity in those animations? Because I know when we talk about how whenever developers really want to evolve and push the limits with their animations, I think of something like when we all saw the first time Phantom Blade Zero being debuted. And we all go, dude, this combat looks way too good. You can't ever really tell where one animation ends and one animation begins. Did it feel a lot like that? Did it feel like way more kind of connected? Felt really good on that, Andy.

21:07They definitely are looking at the movement and how they can make sure everything looks good at the same time. And another cool one there, Andy, that I want to bring up. There's a couple of cool tech pieces here before we jump into multiplayer. They brought up FOV slider. And I thought this was really interesting because I never thought about this. They showed that like, hey, everybody's cranking that slider up. We talked about it before. You're going into the 100, the 107, the 120, right? And so they show you cranking it, and the whole screen kind of expands, right? But then they showed, well, the targets in front of you never expanded either.

21:39They just kind of stayed the same size, but then they kind of got smaller because there was more distance. Hey, we felt like that wasn't quite right, so we wanted to adjust that. And so they did this really cool tech show of they expanded the slider. They showed you how small that soldier looked now. That's not quite right, though, right? And so they've readjusted kind of the aspect ratio of a lot of things in front of you. So it won't feel like, hey, that guy's a miniature ant over there. You'll actually be able to see them, and they'll look a little bit bigger. And I thought that was really interesting.

22:09Something I never thought of, but when you see it and the tech and they show you, you're like, oh, yeah, like that guy should be bigger in my screen. And that will make for a lot better gameplay for me. So I thought that was interesting. That's okay. Okay, that's fascinating because that's just physics and reality where when you expand the FOV, the things get smaller because of the focal length and things like that. It was very interesting and cool on that one. And then they also talked about Bloom. You know, Andy, you're a big-time shooter. You love tactical games like, of course, Valorant, Counter-Strike.

22:43We always talk about Bloom and weapons. And they went into a deep dive into Bloom. They showed off Battlefield 6 and Apex Legends, old Call of Duty titles, and they were like, this is how Bloom was created, right? We didn't know how to track these shots when you were doing hip fire, so we kind of just let them fly all over the place. But we want to fix that. We want to make the best Bloom possible. We want to figure out how real Bloom would happen if you were to fire a gun right from the hip and not aim down sights, right? And so they showed this new technology that they're going to try to bring that really actually tracks the muzzle.

23:15and when they showed it side by side, it was way more on target and closer to what you would expect in the bloom now, where just, here's a circle, and it's going to fire at any random spot here. It felt tighter. It did feel like it was tracking where that muscle was bouncing whenever it was jumping all around in your hands. Very cool stuff. Another one, weapon smoke and weapon movement that I thought. If you're a diehard Call of Duty player, you'll know. The weapon, like the smoke coming off the gun when you were firing, was causing for a lot of distraction. You couldn't see the target in front of you.

Read the full transcript

23:48And that's where a lot of PC players were getting mad because controller players had kind of that aim assist, was tracking people, and PC players couldn't find the target in all the gun smoke. They identified that and started to clear that up a bit. They also had the fun one. Andy, I'm sure you've seen the fun TikTok trend of you grab your dog and you put it up to the wall. And if they're smart, they'll put the paws in front of it. If they're not, they'll just go face into the wall. I don't think I've seen that. That shit's great. Okay. You might have to forward me that. You know what? We got to grab the weeder dogs.

24:17Okay. Put their paws up. They showed the gun next to the wall, right? And so, like, as you approach the wall with your gun out, right, you would eventually start making moves. Oh, a little contextual animation. So they want, of course, we always talk about the realism and what they want to show you on the screen. So they showed off, hey, we're moving the gun sideways and, like, actually adjusting to how you would be. Another cool one, tech-wise, Andy, that you're going to love. Update requires restart. oh son of a bitch shaders oh man it is their goal to do away with update requires restart it is their goal to have shaders download in the background while it's in the tray uh we will see how that works and when we get there but they said their goal is to do away with update requires restart i andy i mean that's a big deal that's a big promise because holy shit like there is no you are restarting call of duty minimum three times whenever you first start playing and then from then on twice the room clapped when they said that there was there's about 50 people in the room everybody clapped it's insane i mean if they if if it feels like they are taking not that they not that i want to say that they weren't taking you know the optimization and the engineering and sort of underlying systems seriously not to say they weren't taking it seriously but man it just felt like the last several iterations were hanging on by a thread because of all of the legacy uh you know engine stuff that they've been working on and of course cross cross play with or cross generation rather going back to ps4 going back to Xbox One, and now that being sort of done away with is pretty massive.

26:05So let's go back to multiplayer now. 1266 maps. We were playing some of the new modes. We played one of the new modes. Inflation, which is very much kind of like a mix of dog tags, kill confirmed, because every time you'd kill someone, they would drop money right on the ground. Then your goal was you were incentivized to pick up money and have a bigger bank purse on your back that you'd be running around with and your team would then you would see the money counter go up it was a fun idea of like hey when you kill someone get to moving and go over there grab that right there were no like atms go drop them off it was very much hey just keep killing and grab as much money as possible we played team deathmatch a lot of great maps on this but then they also talked about the big warfare maps that's more like the 12v12 you've seen them before in modern warfare yes they have vehicles in that and then the big one was the party mode games like gunfight and we got to jump into gunfight which you know andy 2v2 2v2 but 10v10 my favorite part okay about i love gunfight gunfight is so much fun because you don't have to think about your weapons your loadout they give it to you round by round and then it's you and your friend you go out there we did 10v10 gunfight on kill block which is this new map that they've created that is broken down into three sections and between every round the sections change into different variations different loadouts so you'll never know what you're doing of course people ask like hey what is the tactical advantage when will i learn that and they'll say hey you'll kind of start to know after you play which one is which to know the kind of the loadout and the map layout but when we were playing it felt fresh and new every time of you would see the kind of slot machine go as they pick the new three and you go oh okay like we're in a forest here we're on a cement city here what are we doing there and it was like super fun some procedural yeah it felt really fascinating and the 10v10 was awesome too because at first it's guns blazing and then it slows down at about 5v5 4v4 and then it's like you're cheering on the one kid across the room it's like pull off this one before you do it are you, are you able to create 10 V 10 lobbies?

28:19You know what? We, we didn't do that. Cause we were loading up. I'm sure they'll figure that. I'm sure they have that. Like, you know, is it going to be one of those things where you hop in with your squad of four and then you join or I'm sure though, I didn't ask that. I wanted to, I'm sure they'll let you join up with your 10. I bet. And then finally, Andy, a big one for you and for everyone out there. Hey, do you love loadouts? Cause there's a lot of dope stuff coming to the arsenal with loadouts. there's apex attachments now coming to guns, which was a very fun mix on this, Andy. This is when apex like the game style or apex attachment.

28:53So these unlock at max weapon progression and they're evolving the weapon with new behaviors that open up additional tactical play styles. And so what that was is there's just giant logo at the bottom of your loadout. When you're looking at it, it just clearly says apex attachment. And they're funky, weird things to add onto your gun. And like they all feel normal and what you would think, But like one of them was like, this will now shoot taser strings out and like shock your enemies in front of you. This is a rocket launcher on your pistol. This is a shotgun on that. And so it felt like. Roguelite elements.

29:25Yeah, fun attachments to add onto the guns. Each gun has one apex attachment that's tied to its max level. So you'll work your way and then go on to that apex attachment if you want and attach it and have a kind of a fun different play style with that gun, which was really cool and kind of fresh. I like that. This one causes your enemy to do a restart required in the middle of a game. And then finally, the big one that I want to touch on is Gunny. The new Gunny system. For everyone out there that maybe, hey, doesn't have time to figure out the best loadouts, maybe doesn't want to follow Chris Anka, the weapon arbiter of like, hey, you got to get this back attachment, this front barrel, this and that.

30:04The Gunny, the all-new Gunny system brings the Gunny Sergeant's Eye weapon customization, helping players quickly assemble effective builds based on their preferred play style and unlocked attachments. So you'll go to the gunny system. I hate this name. I want to be a running gun player, and they'll quickly build you a loadout and say, here you go, try this. And then you'll go back and go, I want to be a little bit slower. They'll build you this. Or I want to be long range. They'll build you this. And so I thought it was really fun for me who doesn't like getting into the loadouts and trying to test each weapon or stare at a TikTok and just follow the trends.

30:38I really like the idea of like, hey, we have a system here that will just build it for you. You go test and see if you like it. Okay. Very, very cool. And then, of course, the third mode, DMZ. I can't tell you anything about it, but that is the third confirmed mode is DMZ for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4. And as we know, DMZ was about three years ago, four years ago. It was their extraction attempt. Yes. Didn't go over so great. Very early in the extraction world. Yeah. Yeah, it felt very sort of experimental. Yeah. And kind of almost like we have this mode, we want to try it out. Almost like a let's demo this and see how the audience reacts.

31:17But there's been a lot of years since different extraction shooters have come out. A lot of lessons learned. A lot of games. A lot of games that have shut down. There's been a lot of history there. So we'll see what that DMZ mode is. Zeke speak with a$5 super chat. thank you for your support remember you can support our company by super chatting or being a patreon member or uh using your twitch prime if you have amazon amazon prime you have twitch prime zeke speak says not trying to yuck anyone's yum but i don't know man this makes me tired didn't we just get one of these is it is that just me i mean tell me your feelings andy well i don't i mean i'm just trying to think of like the last one we got the time makes no sense to me anymore and hasn't for about, you know, since the pandemic time.

32:06So I've sort of lost track of all that, whether this feels too soon for another one. I mean, you get them yearly. Yeah. That's what Call of Duty has been for two decades now. I think maybe they're thinking that because the return to Warzone map when we flew up Chris Anka happened a bit after the actual release of the game happened. Okay, yeah, yeah. So, like, maybe they're just thinking, didn't you all just play this, like, seven months ago or whatever, eight months ago? Interesting. Whenever Chris was here, remember? Yeah, I mean, I guess I'm just, like, because I grew up with Call of Duty slash all of these games, I'm very used to the hamster wheel that is the yearly releases.

32:47I am someone that actually does like the yearly releases because I very much do go through the excitement of pre-launch, launch, honey moved phase. Hey, I've played some of the DLC. It brought me back. now I'm bored by six to nine months I want something fresh I am very much a person on that wheel and of course that's how Call of Duty has become the Goliath it is we talk about live service games all the time and how do you keep people how do you keep them engaged how do you keep it fresh and it is very difficult to do that and not many can say they've done that Call of Duty however the behemoth that it's become with multiple studios and what it takes to do that thousands of employees is like the reason why it can and has to do that.

33:30So, yeah, I don't know. I mean, for most people, I think if you were someone watching and listening, Call of Duty to you is I jump in when I'm in the mood. Maybe I got it on Game Pass before it was taken out. Maybe I buy it once every three years. Maybe I buy it every year, right? I think Call of Duty is something different for every person. Hey, Heather, thank you for letting Virgil Goff listen to Kind of Funny Games Daily together on the drive home. The Super Chat saying, can you thank my girlfriend, Heather? for letting us listen to KFGD. We love a couple that sticks together. They listen to gaming news.

34:03A couple that listen to gaming news together sticks together. Like us. Okay. Just two best friends. Moving on. Super Chat from Amazing Spider Den, Mike, asks, Modern Warfare 4, worth filling a 9th to 10th fantasy critic slot? Is it worth it? You know what? The campaign looks really good, but it will live or live or die on the multiplayer. And we know that that's what it's kind of judged on. I don't, my worry is, is even the good one, when we go back to black ops six, if you looked up that open critic, not good enough to fill out my slots, low eighties. And that's a problem. Cause you know, I go 85 or above only.

34:44I'd say, hold off. Hello drove says called duty getting its soul back. Ooh, I like that. That's good. That's good. That's something that Andy would say. That's pretty damn. Story number two says, Call of Duty Warzone is shut down on PS4 and Xbox One as Modern Warfare 4 leaves last-gen consoles behind. This comes from Wesley Yenpool, Y, or WYP at IGN. I can't believe I screwed that up. It's only three letters. Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty Warzone will soon shut down on PS4, Xbox One as part of the upcoming Modern Warfare 4 leaving last-gen consoles behind. Season one of MW4 kicks off shortly after the game itself launches on October 23rd.

35:25And with that, Warzone will integrate with Modern Warfare 4 content and seasonal progression. But the big news here is that Warzone on PS4 and Xbox One will no longer be playable starting with Season 1. Even before then, from June 4th, the Battle Royale will no longer be available for new downloads on those consoles. Though existing players can continue to play until Season 1 launches. Some Call of Duty microtransactions won't be available on those platforms either. Meanwhile, on June 25th, the in-game store for Call of Duty Warzone on PS4 and Xbox One will be removed. Players can still progress through the free battle pass tiers, including unlocking new weapons in remaining Black Ops 7 seasons, Activision said.

36:08Pretty freaking massive. That is really big, Andy. We're talking about a lot of players who make up this player base no longer able to play the free-to-play game that for a lot of people is maybe their only game, Warzone. And now consoles are$300 more expensive. I would say the issue is me and Paris yesterday on Kind of Funny Games Daily spoke about how we just watched the Steam Deck price go up. We touched on PlayStation and Xbox prices all going up and how now you feel like you're in almost this holding pattern of, well, now I'm just going to dig my feet in and I'm just going to stick with the console I got.

36:48but man shutting down that. I mean, there's eventually a moment where you do have to move forward. I don't say, Hey, it's time to cut this off. And like, we got to leave the past behind. We're in this awkward place of, you don't want to say that now. Cause all those people will go buy a super expensive console. Then I don't know. It's a weird one, but it also, it feels right for the timeline that we're on. It's just, we're in a, we're in an alternate dimension. Dr. Strange timeline. That isn't the real timeline anymore. If I'm retailers out there, I start pulling like a phone upgrade system. Like, you know, like similar to trade-ins, but you'd be like, you get the new console for only this much if you come trade in like your old console or whatever.

37:31It feels like GameStop does it all the time. Yeah. But I just, you know, these price hikes have been kind of nasty recently. Oh, way nasty. It would be really interesting to see the numbers on PS4 and Xbox One playing Warzone, right? We kind of saw from the leak of GTA what those numbers were like on GTA Online. It would be interesting to see how many people are still playing Warzone, right? What is that number? Is it as big as GTA and the spending was? I don't know. Story number three. Subnautica has sold so well that Crafton has to pay that$250 million earn out to the devs. This comes, once again, from Wesley Inpool at IGN.

38:14Subnautica 2 sold so well that publisher Crafton has reportedly agreed to pay a$250 million earnout to the developers, a bonus that was at the heart of its high-profile legal dispute with the fired Unknown Worlds leadership. The underwater adventure has sold a mammoth 4 million copies since its early access launch on May 14th, achieving more than 467 ,000 peak concurrent players on Steam. But its development was turbulent, with Crafton firing Unknown World CEO Ted Gill and other senior team members in the summer of last year. At the time, Crafton said the game's launch had also been delayed, something it blamed on Gill, even though its team had been working towards an early access release that would have seen them eligible for the$250 million bonus.

38:59Gill and his former teammates immediately launched a lawsuit against Crafton, suggesting that they were ousted to avoid the bonus being paid, while Crafton hid back and said the staff had, quote, resorted to litigation to demand a multimillion-dollar payout they haven't earned, end quote. Crafton also accused the staff it fired of having stolen documents in anticipation of subsequent legal action, muddying the waters over their exit. In March, Crafton was ordered to reinstate Gill and extend the proposed$250 million bonus to staff in one of the most dramatic legal rulings the video game industry has ever seen.

39:36And today, reports coming out of South Korean business press indicate that Krafton has now agreed to pay the bonus. According to estimates from Alenia Analytics, Subnautica 2 generated$100 million in just a week, and it is 2026's fastest-selling Steam game so far. The Korean Economic Daily said Crafton now faces that$250 million bill after agreeing to pay$3.12 for every$1 or up to$250 million to Unknown World's former shareholders every time the studio revenue topped$69.8 million a month since the Korean game developer acquired the U.S. firm in 2021. $250 million is equivalent to about 35 % of Crafton's operating profit last year.

40:27Wow-wee. That's a big-ass chunk. Congratulations. Massive. You made a great game. We were all hyped up for it. We were excited for it. This whole story was scuzzy, slimy, and was awful to get through. But on the other side, hey, hell yeah, get that money. When all of this news was first coming out, my first thought was, that feels like a clerical error. That feels like somebody accidentally put an extra zero at the end of it. That's why they were like, yo, we got to back out of this deal. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. We fucked up. Yeah, this is when you make that purchase on eBay and you don't realize.

41:01$250 million? Yeah, we only had 30. That's 35 % of what we did last year. It's crazy, but it's awesome. I'm saying it's crazy, but I'm not saying that I don't think it should happen. I think this is awesome. I think this is one of the few good stories in the industry where hardworking, talented devs are getting money that they deserve because of the work they're putting out, because of their art that they're making and creating an awesome experience in gaming and you don't really get to talk about these experiences a whole lot nowadays we've seen this actually happen before this year with pearl abyss as well right giving them a nice little payout right there uh all their developers it's great to see shift up does this a lot with um with stellar blade and their progress so does uh neo wiz and lies of p like it's it's awesome to see devs getting rewarded it's wild as well like when you rewind the clock if you remember during that story they were like this game isn't ready we don't want them to put it out and they were like no it's ready the people will want to play it like no absolutely not it's like oh they were just clearly trying to avoid this payout right here because the game came out and everyone was excited the numbers were insane the sales were great like yeah this is a big win i'll tell you what else is a big win listening to this show ad free if you're a patreon member but if you're watching live right now you're not a patreon member or maybe you still are you just like watching live anyway and we appreciate that support but because you're watching live right now let's hear a word from our sponsors come one come all step into a world of wonder full of laughs and sweetness enjoy summer's brightest moments and experience a circus of flavor with the new cotton candy flavor of five hour energy shot astound and amaze your taste buds with sweet fruity clouds and a hint of vanilla plus b vitamins nutrients and caffeine you'll be ready to see the sights and ride the rides try cotton candy five hour energy today order now at five hour energy.com or amazon.com this episode's brought to you by rocket money rocket money can track subscriptions and has the ability to cancel unwanted ones within the app with just a few taps, saving users over$880 million in canceled subscriptions.

Some super chats, Mike. Rogue. Are they super chatting about the back rooms this weekend? No. You ready? But that's happening. You, me, Nick Scarpino. We flip out of this world, we go to the back room. You and Nick can go because you all like love, you played that game so much, you know? We tried to bring you along. You really, you really didn't want to. I mean, it just wasn't fun after a while. And also, you're like the freaky wire robot monster.

44:33And I also don't know what the real game, like there's like 30 different iterations of Backrooms because I feel like it doesn't have a copyright. It's everybody's story. So everybody's able to make a game based on it. It's like, why is this happening? We have a super chat from Rogue930. Thank you for your$10 super chat supporting us with your eyes, your ears, and your dollars. If you don't support the things you love, they go away forever, everybody. The super chat says, I just traded in my Switch 1 at GameStop for a Switch 2. They had a 20 % bonus trade in value for pro members, so I was able to get a great deal.

45:04Totally worth it with all these BS increases going on. You've got to take advantage of it. I remember when Destin Leguerre traded in for the PS5 Pro, and it was kind of like this moment of like, it was right before everything started to really change, and it was like, hey, you might want to start doing this now. And then like a week later, it felt like prices have changed forever and never will go back. What a wild time. Super chat here from Alvaro. And I'm going to direct this towards Mike because he's definitely the one to ask about this. What's your opinion on the saving other countries on being attacked every time Call of Duty, every time on Call of Duty with the current political and military climate?

45:43Oh, shit. We can move on. I wasn't expecting you to give me a real answer there. Thank you for your super chat, Alvaro. You got a deep question there, big dog. Tricky Kappa says, Mike, as someone that loves it. We hit the joint first. Someone who loves the Call of Duty campaigns and was bummed with how the Modern Warfare reboot ended shaking out in three. Does this seem like a return to form? Yes, this does. You and I, I think, are going to come out of this one smiling like 2019 and Black Ops. And it looks so beautiful. It looks so good. I mean, that's one thing I love about these campaigns is just sneaking through somewhere.

46:18I'll never forget in the one Black Ops campaign, lady walks up to you and she's like, hi, just keep on smiling. and there's eyes and ears everywhere. Hey, great to see you. Great to be. And it looks like such the most realistic person. And that's for a game that is needing to be made cross-platform, right? Now, strip all of that. Let's use the most recent tech, the more modern tech. Super, super pumped up about it. There's something there. It's like we talked about with Black Ops 6. I know we're going long on the day. But after playing James Bond, I've already said this before, I want to see Activision and the Call of Duty teams make a Mission Impossible or Jason Bourne.

46:57There's something about this, like, stealth espionage, like, light that they're doing with what we've seen with Black Ops 6 and now Dark Price, right? Of, like, man, add some gizmos and gadgets like James Bond and IO Interactive. And, like, could we maybe focus a little bit more on that and make a stealth kind of espionage game? Could be really good. This goes all the way to the top. I think they've got it. Oh, man. This goes all the way to the top. This goes deeper than we could have ever imagined. here bro and let's run around god everybody's getting disavowed duro with a two dollars super jack says captain price civil war hello um can you believe it juan pedro said who made it a salad aka dot says mike i'll play deadlock with you i'm fuller than verne fuller i'm fuller than bone verne fuller of dean says i was never going to play caught anyway but as fans i'm curious if having multiple years of just blops and modern warfare is frustrating or is that what fans want I don't really know what the alternative is.

47:48Like they have their. Well, I mean, you have Vanguard and World of War and the period pieces. I was getting my hair cut yesterday and they were watching Save a Private Ryan, a movie I've never watched before. Oh, so, you know, I was watching it, but I've never watched it. And I was reminded of like, man, you know, like the last time they did that was Vanguard. And the people spoke of like, we don't want this, right? Like we very much want to stay modern to semi-futuristic. They don't want to go full futuristic and they definitely don't want to go back. But I think there is something to be said of like those, what there's something about the slice of life moments of like, Hey, we've gone back to world at war and we've gone back to world war two.

48:26And like, it is just like, Oh, this is fun. But like, as I was watching save prior, I'm like, are they ever going to do this again? Like, is there a story to be told? Like there's stories to be told, but like, are the people going to want something in that world again? And I don't know. You put me between and around one mile of Adolf Hitler, this war is over. Is that what he says? I mean, it's something like that. I saw Tom Hanks, saw young Matt Damon. Shit, man. They were riding a little motorcycle, and it was fucking bouncing all over the place. God damn, what a movie. He was bleeding out. They were like, hold his gut.

48:57He's bleeding out. That's the fucking— Oh, was that when Vin Diesel was bleeding out? I don't know. Somebody was bleeding out. Dude, Vin Diesel, yeah. I don't know. I couldn't hear the words. Dude, oh, man. Vin Diesel gets shot in the street, Mike, and he's used as bait by the Nazis. So he's shot in the street and everybody's like Don't go to him there's a sniper in the fucking tower Dude it's the sickest shit ever And then what does fucking homeboy do I'm blanking on his name But he's the sick ass sniper Religious sniper He's looking for the cyber back Looking through all the towers And he's like adjusting his scope And he's like our father who art in heaven Fucking Jesus Christ is our savior And Adam and Eve Fucking did this and that With the angels and then you're looking at the Nazi sniper bike and he's looking around and then it shows through his view.

49:43It shows the camera of the Nazi sniper looking around like, you know, he's kind of like peering like, where is this motherfucker? And then it shows his view of the sniper through the scope, right? And you see it and then you see the religious fucking dude and you just see flash of light through the scope, Mike. Shoots him through the scope, through this fucking head and he's, oh, it's the sickest shit ever. Oh man. What if I was to say we went back to World War II, would you do it? Like in real life? No, no. They made a campaign. I thought you meant in real life. Well. I said, now really. We don't want any of that.

50:16Yeah. Yeah. Oh, if they made a campaign? I mean, if they made a campaign that was the sickest shit ever, amazing storytelling stuff, of course I would want to. Okay. It's all about how awesome is this story going to be? How awesome are these action sequences going to be? Story number four, 007 First Light Teases first content update this comes from kade onder at ign 007 first light developer io interactive has teased what fans can expect from the game's first content update and it should be a treat after players complete the main story they'll notice an ad in the game's main menu that teases new content coming to tax him the game's challenge mode the ad confirms that the future update will add the valhalla protocol a mission that features the souped up aston martin that you briefly see in the main story.

51:07Wait until you get to that point. We'll see you in Valhalla. Wait until you get to that point. That was a sweet one. Look at this. They're letting you take it out on the road too. Dang, this looks nuts. That's nice. This is fun. Okay. Spoilers for me. Fuck. Not even there yet. While its role in the main story is small, it appears that the new taxim update will add a larger course for players to drive through blasting and blowing stuff up. This would be a pretty big departure from the other content in taxim right now. Right now, there's only a handful of levels in the challenge mode and all of them see James Bond completing objectives on foot.

51:34Although epic car chases are a big part of Bond's lineage, 007 First Light only has a few driving sequences, which are brief and very linear. As of right now, there's no release date for Valhalla Protocol, but hopefully it'll be in the next few weeks. Big thumbs up, I'll keep it short. You know that IO Interactive does a great job with, you know, adding content to Hitman, World of Assassination. Looks like they want to do the same thing with James Bond. I think a lot of people are enjoying the Hitman Stealth Light that is Bond where it's like, hey, imagine what Hitman was with 40 different ideas.

52:08This only has about seven and like, good luck, go have fun. I can't wait to see what they do over this. And this looks cool. Because like the driving stuff in Bond is fun, very contained and small. I'm excited to let the Valhalla out and let this beast go out. I think it is what it needs to be. And I'm kind of content that they didn't try to do more because I don't know if I feel like in a story that makes sense, Bond just blowing up buildings all over the place. It doesn't really make a whole lot of sense, but in a mode like that, I think that's awesome. Yeah, I mean, well, in the game, you never have a Daniel Craig.

52:47I'm out on the ice field doing Vin Diesel stuff in a car. You know what I mean? They keep it very tight with the car, just driving to and from. Story number five, the Steam Deck is sold out again, even after the huge price rise. This comes from Jacqueline Thomas at IGN. Valve recently raised the price on the Steam Deck, making the handheld gaming PC cost up to$949 for the 1TB OLED model. While that's a massive$300 increase over its original price, the Steam Deck is once again sold out. Even with a$300 price bump, the Steam Deck sold out less than 24 hours back in stock. I don't know how many units Valve was able to stock in its store, but it does seem that Valve spent a couple of weeks building up its stock before putting the handheld back on its store.

53:33Over the last couple of weeks, Valve has been receiving plenty of, quote, game console shipments from China. At first, I thought this was a sign that the company was getting ready to release the Steam machine, but it looks like at least a portion of these shipments, if not all of them, were Steam Deck restocks. That's a lot of Steam Decks to sell through at these inflated prices, but it's also possible that Valve is just staggering its stock so that's delivery infrastructure isn't overwhelmed yeah i mean unless we find out the exact amount of units then we don't really like if it's once again sold out but it really turns out that they sold a thousand or or yeah you know it's whatever we don't know those numbers yet so i don't really know what this means i don't think it means that people are stoked to go spend hundred nine to spend $950.

54:21Yeah, of course. I think that's pretty damn nuts. I also let a person know on stream last night, Mike, that the person that won the giveaway where I gave away my old Steam Deck, I'm going to need like $400 from them. Tell them, retroactive, you got to send it back. They won the giveaway, but I mean, they can give the Steam Deck, but I would love like at least $400 to$500 if you could like. Price went up. Yeah, I mean, the resale value is crazy on this, Mike. This is, yeah, you don't know the true numbers on the back end, like you said, Andy. Is it$100 ,000? Is it 50 ,000 what's the units that were sold here but it does show you like the scarcity and the idea of like man these prices are continuing to go up people are like now I gotta buy this right now before it goes up even more right and that's unfortunate that sucks part of me also wonders like even though this sounds like massive cope this sounds like massive I'm trying to excuse steam or excuse valve for this trust me I'm not I'm not trying to defend the billionaire or the billion company but um i wonder if this is for whenever the steam deck 2 eventually comes out then these prices can have the price drop that makes sense in relation to whatever the steam deck 2 might be because i think steam deck 2 is tracking for next year that's like what a lot of rumors have been pointing to and so maybe this is to say not that this is cheap or affordable in any way but the Steam Deck 2 is out now.

55:44It's$1 ,000. It's$1 ,100, whatever the different SKUs are. And then Steam Deck 1, by the way, Steam Deck 1 OLED, now that's$699 or whatever. I don't know. Maybe. Who knows? I mean, that's definitely wishful thinking. I was going to say, well, cross our fingers. That would be the first time we see a console go down in some time. That would be nice. This fucking sucks, man. It sucks. Because like you said, when you said that about the Steam Deck 2, my mind goes to like, we're just not going to sell the Steam Deck 1 anymore and then we're just going to move on to Steam Deck 2 for$1 ,000 plus. This sucks so much ass because, man, I'm looking at the Lenovo Legion Go 2, the S version, which is the one that has Steam Deck OS, Steam OS on it.

56:31It's not a Windows machine and that's usually because machines, if you have comparable machines with the same chipsets and everything, the one with Steam on it, runs things more efficiently and better than the one with Windows on it. Okay, okay. And I was looking at that one, and I was like, dang, that's going to be quite a nasty-ass purchase for$1 ,100. I better start saving money. And it's since gone up to$1 ,500? $1 ,500,$1 ,600. No, no, no, that's the Go S, Mike. I'm not with the Go S2. Oh, no, stop it. Which I think comes out in June. Oh. And that's going to be about$1 ,699 or something ridiculous.

57:07Oh, it's not even out yet. Okay. This sucks so much ass man It's Everything sucks Fuck tariffs Fuck Trump I'm not trying to get political I'm just Fuck Trump man Story number six Donkey Kong 64 Is finally coming to The Switch's online Nintendo 64 library Next month This comes from Chris Scullion At BGC And Barrett's walking on the stage He's stoked about Donkey Kong 64 on Switch 2. He's going to be playing tonight. He's going to come on to the set to talk about DK64. Here he is. Grab the mic. We fucking did it! We've been asking for years. We've been asking for years! And it finally happened. Mike, I'm so happy.

57:58I'm so happy you finally get to experience a good 3D Donkey Kong game on the Switch 2. Bear, what have I told you? Oh, on the Switch 2. Thank you. Okay, I'll put it in my mind. I like that. What do you mean? What have you experienced? I've already played it. I played it on the Ad 64. I have the special Donkey Kong 64 Jungle Green edition. I have played 64 and it's fantastic. Now Andy, you get to experience it for the very first time. What are we doing next week? Is there anything important happening next week? Let's clear the calendar and just play this non-stop. What if we did a marathon stream of Donkey Kong 64 with a randomizer with crowd control and we have a whole lot of fun with an Andy.

58:38Think about it, Andy. Think about it. I will be thinking about that. DK crew will let you play me. Barrett blessing. The crew can sing songs. Keep you pumped up throughout. Think about it. You're just finishing up Witcher. You're thinking about your next big game. What's the next big game? Perfect progression. Really? It just makes sense. Now, um, Donctober, Donctober, whenever it, happens whenever we want it to happen whenever you want it yeah yeah it's in our hearts host donctober in his room with barrett mike and blessing behind him man you just keep on adding on this is what the audience said that's what they said no you are saying that right now i saw the audience said have it in andy's room you are saying this the witcher three comment says i can't wait for donkey kong after the witcher that's what they've been saying on your comment barrett is this going to justify another playthrough from you yes i have not i have not personally done a a playthrough of DK64 in a very long time.

59:38You know, you know, when we just did one, Mike, but he just did the 101 % for a giant bomb. Wait, what's the 1 %? Ah, there's like a couple of collectibles that add up people on the planet. That's a joke. That's a class consciousness joke. Oh, shit. But when we did Dongtober, that was blessing playing it for the, being it for the first time, but I have not actually done a full playthrough since playing it on the Wii U back in the day. because that was like the last piece of hardware you could get Donkey Kong 64 legally. But anyways, I will be planning on playing this and coming back to this because it's a fantastic game and more people should try it out.

1:00:17I'm definitely going to tip my toes in it again. Yeah, like you said, it's awesome to see this come back. Shout to the Switch, getting the games that we want. A little bit faster would be nice, but like, hey, we're getting some. Hey, we got it eventually. That and tonic trouble on the N64 from Ubisoft. How do you feel about this just being a random ass drop i mean that's what they've all been right like all the n64 and like gamecube drops and uh gba it's like it's always the random thursday i guess maybe the fact that it was i wasn't looking for a grand like here is no world but like i don't know why like something about you know 8 30 p.m is weird to me like again it's their time it was weird like i'm on the bus home at night at like 7 p.m.

1:01:02I'm like, oh shit, this just happened. Well, it's coming June 4th. Do we expect Nintendo Summer Game Fest window to have anything? This is all they need. For me, it's like, oh, you celebrate the season of Summer Game Fest with a fun, you know, donk tole. Nah, it's out. It's out. This is all they needed for SGF. This is unceremonious. It's coming out of your port! Man, that is pretty massive news for all of the DK fans out there, Mike. But I'm tired of all that big news. If I wanted something smaller, say the tiniest news I needed to know about, where would I go? I would take you to our last story, Andy Cortez, the We News channel, where we cover all the small news items people need to know about.

1:01:43The Witcher 3 has now sold 65, over 65 million copies. That's a lot of video games. I bought it three times. Really? Yep. Three-time owner. I'm a Switcher owner as well. Oh, you're a Switcher. Wow, okay. congratulations to cd project right um i'm just gonna go with noble now because everybody you know dunked on me for saying kenoble which i think somebody corrected me because i think when he was on doing a podcast with mr hawks possibly okay and they mentioned like the pronunciation of kenoble and that he just sort of like was okay with noble anyway i'll just go with that noble according to bilbil kuhn hollow knight silksong is getting a physical xbox playstation nintendo switch version yes that rocks i'm stoked about that includes a physical map and manual hollow knight is also getting a new physical nintendo switch 2 version and ps5 version this october i will be purchasing that as well from ign bungie's opening the gates to marathon next week and letting players jump in on the action free of cost as part of marathon season 2's launch the full game will be getting a free trial from june 2nd to june 9th on xbox series x s ps5 and PC.

1:02:54All of the progress you make during this time will carry over to the full game. Planet Zoo launches October 13th on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC. Tidebreakers has been announced for PC. It's a shonen run-and-gun. Show your skills and save the world. Make your shots explosive. Make your parry intense. Even when your inner weaknesses come up, only you can do it. The Steam page is in the document. It looks like a little sports game. Like you're a character Who's using tennis powers And maybe volleyball powers I can't really tell But it looks cute It's got a cute art style There's tiebreakers right there for the visual audience Is it a game you would play?

1:03:37I don't know I do like the art style I really like the art style It's very cute Really nice hand drawn animations Probably something like a Baron I would see at his desk playing Yeah, possibly. Okay. A Call of Duty Mobile slash Persona 5 Royal crossover has been announced. Man, they're just doing stuff. Captain Chats hit me up on Twitter and also Super Chat. As it said, question for Mike. Did Infinity War mention anything about skins since we're talking about that? And no, we did not talk skins when we were there. We did not talk anything store, microtransaction skins at all. They didn't want to revolt at the studios.

1:04:18Because EA in full circle revealed new details surrounding the upcoming launch of Skate Season 4, including a new skatable arena, a full lineup of summer events, a new game mode and tricks, plus a new partnership with X Games to cap off the season. Kicking off June 2nd until August 24th. Season 4 expands on Skate's best-in-class skateboarding experience, opening up the stadium in Brick Switch to players to kick off the Sand Van Open. Still going? Yeah, they're still going, Mike. Shut up, still going. I heard you telling Greg to try to convince him to go to X Games. X Games next month. Wow. Any of you ever thought about going to X Games?

1:04:56Most extreme sporting events around? I mean, back in the day, I almost went to an Austin one. It's like X Games and Warped Tour. It would be like really mixed together. Why don't you say it like that? It's like that's how you got to say it. Warped Tour. Warped Tour. He's just exited it. It's like the Hawk Tour girl. He's just evacuated in that last syllable. um where winds meet imperial palace expansion is now live and that does it all for we news everybody we have kind of funny you're wrong right now a dork writes in says i don't know the correct pronunciation of noble but i know he's german and there is no silent k in german there you go damn maybe that's right noble maybe that's right knoble possibly During Ween News You said Planet Zoo is releasing It's Planet Zoo 2, the sequel, all shit, my bad Yes, Planet Zoo Zoo That is a good, you're wrong Where were you on that?

1:05:52Why didn't you correct me on that? I was going to correct you because we talked about it yesterday But I was reading Captain's message over there But are you going to jump into it? 1:08:56And this is Greg addressing Fran Mirabella. Because Fran, I think they forced Fran to join the group chat. Yes, you have a new group. Yeah, and Greg said, you smell like a sewer urchin with a part-time job at the urine factory. Thank you, Greg. He said that to you? He said that to Fran. Oh, to Fran. Yeah, to Fran. Oh, you know Fran's going to really take that to heart. But Fran is not comfortable with most of the things said in this. Because a lot of it is just shot to Tim and Fran's like, I don't want to be here. So he keeps on leaving. And then Greg re-adds him. Oh, he keeps leaving. He leaves the group chat.

1:09:33And then Greg re-adds him. He's got to understand this is the family now. You're in the family. Aaron Limes with a$5 Super Chat says, The people yearn for the Kojima AI roast from Andy. Did you see this? We didn't talk about it yesterday. I don't know enough about this. All I saw is that it's a product collaboration. And that one guy who plays Hartman. Okay. I always knew I didn't trust him. Nicholas Winding Refn. Refn. I knew I didn't trust him. I just knew it. There's something off about him. And now he's, you know, you always want to ask your sons and daughters, what friends are you hanging out with?

1:10:11You know what I mean? Who's your crew? And Kojima, stop. Put it down. Fucking put it down. I'm looking at Kojima right now. Like the dog that like Is about to go for the drop Snickers bar and I'm like hey Put it down We trust you Don't fuck us on this He needs to get Inundated with tweets and messages To where he realizes oh shit I knew this was bad but like I didn't know it was this bad That's what we need We need everybody to just get in them You know mentions And don't be you know don't say like you fucking asshole piece of shit Just be like hey this sucks don't do this Don't do it, Kojima.

1:10:51All this stuff. Thank you so much for all of your super chats and support. Demon Hacker with 2L Super Chats says, Rockstar devs launched their union. Great news. I don't know how true or untrue that is, but shout out to them if that is true. That rocks. We always love worker solidarity and people getting compensated and not losing their jobs for no damn reason. Appreciate the love and support, everybody. This has been Kind of Funny Games Daily. Stick after this for an episode of Gamescast where we run you through every game you need to know about for June 2026. How the freak is it already June next month?

1:11:26June. Do you think this will be a light month? How many games do I walk out of this podcast going, these are my three must plays? Because last month I had three. Well, it wasn't until I scrolled to the very, very end of the month while I was making the thumbnail. I was like, oh, my God, control residents at the end of the month. And that's going to be a heavy hitter. But I can't wait to get to all the rest of the list. Stay tuned for Gamescast after this. Stay tuned for... In Review, 8 Mile. In Review, 8 Mile. Tim's first time watching 8 Mile. How does that make sense? How does that make sense?

1:11:56It makes no sense at all. Kevin Coelho, Gamescast plays 300 plus hours in Crimson Desert. Do you think it'll convince you to hop on? Yeah, I'm very high on Crimson Desert. I'll eventually get into it. What about you? You were the one talking about possibly going back for another review. Would you come back? Oh, yeah. Oh, for sure. Yeah, I want to after, you know, a lot of things have been touched. Now that you've done The Witcher. Is it time for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? I don't have time like that. Henry and Hans have an epic tale to tell you. I don't got time like that right now. You got time?

1:12:29Geralt has taken all of my time, all right? I'm dealing with goddamn vampires, Mike. Yeah. I'm dealing with fucking Regis. Geralt would love these two dudes. Maybe. Maybe he will. Maybe he won't. Think about it. Maybe I will. maybe I won't. This has been kind of funny games daily.
