In short
Kinda Funny Games Daily covers Crimson Desert’s review-driven market reaction, Sony phasing out “PlayStation Network/PSN” branding, and Ubisoft ending game development at Red Storm (Tom Clancy studio), plus brief discussion of other gaming chatter.
Guests
Roger Bacorni (tastemaker/co-host on the show). Main hosts mentioned: Blessing and Addy OEA Jr. (no other guests appear in the transcript).
Key claims
Crimson Desert’s first reviews are “moderately positive” (Metacritic 78), yet Pearl Abyss’ share price drops about 29.8% in one day; hosts argue reviews won’t stop strong sales due to hype and Steam pre-order momentum. Sony’s PSN/PlayStation Network branding will be removed by September 2026 with no feature changes; likely replacement is “PlayStation Plus.” Ubisoft’s Red Storm closure is part of a broader cost-saving reset.
Notable examples
Crimson Desert share price falls from $43.79 to ~$30.70; Steam top-seller placement; comparison to Black Myth: Wukong sales; Red Storm founded in 1996 by Tom Clancy, later known for Rainbow Six/Ghost Recon and VR titles like Werewolves Within and Star Trek Bridge Crew.

2:13Yo, what's up? Welcome to Kind of Funny Games Daily for Thursday, March 19th, 2026. I'm one of your hosts, Blessing, Addy OEA Jr. Joining me is the tastemaker, Roger Bacorni. The world reacts indeed. The world reacts. We're all going to talk about it. Crimson Desert, it's been, I've never been so happy to not be on a piece of conversation. I feel like you say this once every month. I've never been so happy to be sick. Where I like, I couldn't come in yesterday. Well, here's the thing. It's actually both. Because like, I couldn't come in yesterday. And part of me was like, well, at least I ain't got to talk about Crimson Desert in front of a ravenous audience.
2:46but then like as i was watching the crimson desert review live there are so many moments where i was like damn i wish i could be there i wish i could say something yeah because i have so much to say yeah and that's why i know i still got it roger oh i know we still got it you didn't lose it i didn't lose it because sometimes i'm like am i washed you know what i mean like my goat wash am i like you know am i still meant to be talking about video games all the time do i gotta retire yeah not really but like sometimes i am like sometimes we talk so much yes you can kind of get lost in it right and not being on the crimson desert review while also simultaneously having so much to say about crimson desert it's like no i got something yeah it's like hearing them talk i'm like oh man i got a point i'll bring for this moment you start podcasting with yourself i never super and i learned how the super chat function works did you know that the more you pay the more you get to say yeah i didn't know that i was gonna leave two dollars but then you
3:37Tim Gettys:had you had an essay you had to write you're cheap ass i was like i can go to five i can go to five your cheap ass trying to give two dollars to the company so you can be a part of a podcast because you're sick god but no i i feel that yesterday yesterday was one of like i was like oh i i got it you know i mean like you should watch the dlss video yesterday or the kfgd that was a fun one like i i had some i had some points some conspiratorial points but what's the what's the biggest conspiracy you have well it's not a conspiracy i say it's a conspiracy i i kept on calling myself the friend that's too woke but also i think i'm like on the money where it's like I think DLSS 5 is a way to Trojan horse pure gen AI game development.
4:16Tim Gettys:Where this is them trying to make all games look the same. So then we all voluntarily turn it on and be like, oh, look, it looks about the same. And then eventually they'll be like, hey, developers, you can just make a prototype of a video game and then just type in things and then we'll make the video game for you. So we don't need artists. I'm not mad at it. Yeah, I'm not mad at it. I can see some of that vision. Oh, yeah, for sure. Especially for like, I think the Trojan horse part of it is like, oh, no, it's just the lighting. It's just like, we're not. And like you look at it this like clearly it's clearly changing everything yeah exactly i think i think there's something there i don't want to be right about it everybody i don't want to be right about roger domus that's why that's what we call you that i took those pills everybody uh how you doing how you feeling uh i'm feeling better i'm not 100 but like that's mostly i obviously my voice isn't like all the way back it's raspy it sounds good though it does hey hey no it's a little bit of that and then a little bit of like still some sniffles but aside from that i feel great you know i mean it sucked to be away from work for three days yeah I keep saying that straight face I'm playing video games it's been great you're acting like you're the worst job ever I know right but like you do the same thing here yeah but here it's like you know I don't have as much time because then I'll have to be on the show and I got to prep the show and then I gotta do other things I have to talk about video games I've been playing video games I played so much Leaf Green what I tell you oh man the Elite Four doesn't stay in a chance I'm building my perfect Pokemon team that's the game you're playing yeah okay i'm not well leaf green and then a redacted that i can't talk okay sure but then like leaf you know what i mean like old ass game you know what i mean yeah but i here's what i'll say is that tell me uh we playing leaf green again it really is confirmation that the original pokemon games are just some of the best games ever made and they still are it's fucking crazy how fun pokemon is yeah i know it's not a hot take i know it's not an original thought but i'm playing and i'm like building my perfect pokemon team and this time i'm playing it to where i'm like all right who is the trainer i want to be because you know what i'm preparing for is i feel like i'm the only person in this office that's looking forward to pokemon champions the competitive like stadium like pokemon game that's coming out i think soon in the next few months i think i forget when they announced i thought this is a mobile game um well i think it's coming to switch first and then mobile oh okay so i wasn't wrong yeah gotcha but here's the thing right is like now i'm playing this game with the idea of this is the team i want to take into Pokemon champions because they're going to give it home compatibility at some point so I can put them in the home and then take them home, put them in the champions, battle the world.
6:36Yeah, yeah. And so I'm like trying to curate, all right, what's my squad here? Yeah. And it's fun. I got a Jolteon. I love that. I got a, I mean, I got a Charizard.
6:44Tim Gettys:Of course I got a Charizard. Not to... I got a Kadabra. Not to tease anything too much, but maybe or maybe not, there's a marathon stream coming up in the next few months or maybe next month. I think it's maybe next month. That involves us battling Pokemon. No shot. That's battling Pokemon. No shot. Keep a lookout, everybody. Keep a lookout. I don't even know about this. That's very exciting. Not many people do at this office. Just me and Mike. It's always you and Mike. We just sat outside and we just talked for fucking four hours. And then we came up with a bunch of ideas and we didn't tell anybody.
7:11Tim Gettys:So you learn everybody. Enough about that. Let's get into video game news. Because remember, this is Kind of Funny Games Daily. For now, let's begin with what is and forever will be the Roper Report. It's time for some news. We have six stories today. A Baker's Dozer! Starting with our number one. Crimson Desert studio Pearl Abyss sees share price plummet by nearly 30 % after first reviews arrive.
7:56This is Chris Skolian at Video Games Chronicle. The South Korean company behind Crimson Desert has seen a large drop in its share price following the first reviews of the game. Pearl Abyss, which both publishes and develops Crimson Desert, was sitting on a share price of$43.79 when the market closed on Wednesday. The review embargo for the game was then lifted on Wednesday night, and the initial critical reception has been moderately positive, but not overwhelmingly so. As a result, as reported by Seoul Economic Daily, when the stock market opened again today, the share price for Coralipus immediately dropped to$31.90, a drop of around 27%.
8:32At the time of writing, the market is closed for the day in South Korea, and the final share price is$30.70, making for a total one-day drop of 29.8%. Crimson Desert's Metacritic score currently stands at 78, which is considered generally favorable on the site's grading scale. It appears, however, that the market was expecting the game to receive a far greater critical reception, especially given the hype surrounding its visually impressive environments. it's possible that the share price may see a rise in the coming days because despite the lower than expected metacritic score it appears that crimson desert is still on track to sell well the game is currently number one on steam's top selling games chart compared to ninth last week suggesting a large number of players have pre-ordered it at pre-ordered it as the release in years roger the world is reacting to crimson desert the markets are reacting to crimson desert what's
9:27Tim Gettys:making you laugh this is so fucking dumb i know right this is so dumb and everybody this is a not there's not a financial advice podcast but here it is everybody tell them everybody it's time for some financial advice because guess what everybody 29.8 off you can get shares of the people that I'm making Crimson Desert, a game that everybody's fucking talking about and already pre-ordering. It doesn't matter that the game is at 80 % on OpenCritic. Guess what? Black Myth Wukong is at 82. It's all the same. The game is going to do great. No one cares about the reviews. And guess what? Everybody's in the chat saying, Greg Miller, I don't give a shit if you like this game or not.
10:12Tim Gettys:I'm still buying it just to fucking spite you. So everyone, buy it right now. 29.8 % off. This is absolutely financial advice. Hashtag for the audio listeners. We do have a disclaimer on the screen. Not real financial advice. It's 30 % off, everybody. For the record, not real financial advice. If you lose money on this, you are not. Roger's not liable. But if you make money, you have to Venmo me. You do have to Venmo Roger percentage. 10%, everybody. So you think, how well do you think Crimson Desert is going to do at the end of the day? Let's talk sales. Let's talk numbers. Do you think these reviews affect anything?
10:48Fuck no.
10:49Tim Gettys:Because the reviews are good. What are we talking about? are we living in crazy land? The reviews are great. Just a few days ago, don't act like just a few days ago, I wasn't scrolling on my timeline and everybody was acting that Crimson Desert was going to be the return of Jesus Christ himself in an open world video game. But I mean, it's like, what did you expect this was going to be? Like the guy, clearly we looked at this guy and we're like, this is generic guy number five, right? And he's running around a massive open world that I could just get lost in. And that's what it's going to be. It's going to, you're going to run around the massive open world.
11:17Tim Gettys:You're going to fight things. You have a big tree monster right there. That looks sick as fuck. and then you're just gonna play 20 hours of this 50 hours 100 hours of this and just have a good time you don't care about the main character don't care about the story it's gonna be fine it's gonna be fine everybody here's my thing is i 100 agree with you as far as i don't think i think reviews have a i guess like gamer culture impact as far as like how people receive things right but i don't think that i don't think that translates to the wider margin of sales for a game of the scale what i do think though is that reviews are indicative of how people will feel once they get their hands on the game sure i don't i think the black myth wukong comparison is really interesting because what i will say to black myth wukong is that i think there's a there's a passion in market and still like a gameplay flow to black myth wukong that resonates with people even though i know on this show oftentimes you would have the jingle is black myth wukong combat bad nope it's just not great right like we didn't look what you say it's just not good it's just not good um i don't know lyrics you know like if we weren't in love with black myth wukong but at the very least i still understood why it did well i think both is the combination of there was a cultural factor of uh that developer i believe being located in china and like a big chinese audience for that game but then also like as an action game as a soulsie kind of thing as a game that's doing a lot of flashy shit right like there was something there for black myth wukong to connect themselves to i'm so curious because i do think crimson desert is going to get i mean already already it has a lot of attention without even being out yet i do think a lot of people are going to flock to it i do think i think a lot of people are going to buy it i think a lot of people are going to argue back and forth on this game even more so than black myth wukong really i think a lot more people are not going to buy with crimson desert interesting why is that i because it's not okay somebody who's played it right now again i've only i'm in the greg miller boat right of like i've only played a fraction of this game right I didn't get past the 20 hour mark.
13:09Which apparently that's the beginning of the ending of the tutorial. I mean, listen, you know what I mean? Which people don't, I don't think people will sit and think about how long 15 to 20 hours is.
13:18Tim Gettys:Or 30 hours is. You got to read your messages when you say them. Like, when you send a message that says, oh, it gets good after 15 hours, y 'all got to stop. That's a whole season of a television show. Paris, I think, said 30 hours, right? Think about how long 30 hours is. 30 hours is like you're spending full waking days. That's almost Kanye's 40 hours. Multiple days in a row. That's way too long. No, 30 hours was the funny thing. I thought it was 40 hours. No, the song is 30 hours. My brain's broken today. I don't know numbers. I don't know lyrics. I don't know anything. If you start a lyric, I will not be able to finish it and I will bungle it.
13:48Tim Gettys:It'll be into Greg Miller. God damn it, Greg. But I digress, right? Even removing that from the thing. I think the thing about Crimson Desert that's going to make it not as resonant as a Black Myth Wukong is just that it's a way harder game to get into. you know like in the way that i played sure the first let's say i don't know 10 15 percent of the video game or whatever you want however you want to quantify it blackmoth wukong i got halfway through that game because that game flows at the very least even if i'm not loving a certain aspect of blackmoth wukong there's still like something that keeps me going there's still a gameplay loop that is like that gives that grants me more direction than crimson desert crimson desert where it's really easy, I think, to get lost and get real boarded.
14:31Tim Gettys:But do you think that maybe we are a bit disconnected? Just a little bit. Of like, I think about, of course, Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the greatest games of all time. But like, people talk about like, reviewers talk about like, oh, the intro, the beginning is like really a slog and everything. But then that game, my point is that people like getting lost in worlds. Yeah. Right? Like, even if it is methodical and slow, like they like a big open world to get lost in. Right? And I do think that there is something there, right? even if the game is quote unquote slow and slog and sluggish and it takes a while to open up and really get super fun.
15:05Tim Gettys:I do think people just like the pure role playing of walking around and being lost in something big, even if it is just pretty simple in the beginning. 100%. Yeah. But I don't think that translates to 10 million sales, right? Like I think, because I don't, I don't think this is I, in my super chats, in my comments that I was leaving in the YouTube video, how much did you spend? What's that? How much did you spend on the super chat? $5. can't even give us eight come on bro well i feel like five dollars is the standard you know what i mean like let's get enough words in there but in my chats i was i was comparing the game actually no and the thing that i wrote in actually to andy i compared the game to red dead redemption 2 right yeah however playing crimson desert made me wish i was playing red dead redemption 2 for me as somebody who didn't fall in love with red dead redemption 2 i think red dead redemption 2 does a way better job with world building characters story all i can appreciate so much about red Dead Redemption 2 even if it's not like even if it didn't change my world even if it's not something that I wanted to continue playing past halfway or whatever right yeah I think Crimson Desert is caught in such a weird place of it doesn't it doesn't have the storytelling that I think brings people into a Red Dead Redemption 2 it doesn't have that like fulfillment of the western fantasy or like a specific type of fantasy right Crimson Desert you're you're looking at Cliff here who you're playing as and sure you are this you're the gray mane who is like kind of like a warrior dude who like goes on jobs kind of like a witcher type character but i don't think the fantasy feels as worthwhile and as engaging as a red dead as a witcher right and so like when you are not i think doing the work to bring people in on engagement of that level right the world building level the the uh fantasy level the i just want to role play as this character level then i think you have to do it on the gameplay level and on the gameplay level i just don't think it has the stuff either when i think of the games that kill it in that regard the elden rings the tears of the kingdoms right the open worlds that are like go through you have all these systems get lost do xyz thing and like you see something go to it i you can't do that though in this game right like i mean you can see something you go right yes but that thing has to be interesting right i have to get there and go what the fuck is this right i have to get there and it'd be something fun there or an interesting puzzle or like you don't find those of like and this is me just genuinely asking right like so it's like i go to like a big mountain and i fully climb it or whatever like am i getting like a quest or are there things for me to find other collectibles like what does that look like i mean you might find like random shit i think my problem because i'll give you i'm trying to give an example i can give that won't be like spoiler ish you can go places you can do things I think it's a matter of like, are those things interesting?
17:45There was one thing that happened to me where I was like, oh shit, what's happening? Here's what I'll say, right? Again, no spoilers. I'm trying not to give any story details. There was a moment where I was on my way to do a thing. I was on my way to do a job. And on my way there, I like get knocked out essentially. And I'm like, oh shit, it's happening. Emergent gameplay. An emergent story is about to be told, right? Something's happening. and then like i wake up and it's very much like all right now figure out how to do the thing and i'm like this should be cooler than it is like something about this just isn't working it feels like a game that has content just to have content as opposed to content that speaks to you that feels fun that feels like it's trying to like i don't know do something clever or reward that exploration one of man i wish i was on the review yesterday yeah because i think this game has so many of the pieces i think what you're seeing on screen are so many of the pieces one of my favorite moments that happened just out in the open world was me finishing up a quest walking around and like a bird lands on my shoulder and I'm like what the fuck and then the bird hands me a note and I'm like that's fucking cool yeah and then I read the note and I'm like alright that's not interesting like it just doesn't go the extra mile
18:54Tim Gettys:cool things are happening but it's not connecting with you yes like things are happening but they're not even cool to me right like things that should be cool are happening but it feels like if you'd asked somebody to create an open world game who had only like heard about open world games or whatever i i i get what you're saying i i agree with you in terms of like that that is the thing that pushes something to become a witcher 3 right like you need to have that depth in order to continuously have sales but i think the beginning of this game's life cycle there's so much curiosity there's so much hype there's so much excitement and also you look at the release schedule right now for the year like there's a big open spot right now for a game like this right we don't have a gta 6 we don't have you know potential witcher dlc right like there is a good like four four to five months they got here right to like really kind of like build these sales uh and yeah right now i'm looking at the black myth wukong uh stuff right here in terms of how much it sold uh it's early 2025 saying about 25 million units i don't know if anything has been updated past that uh but yeah 25 million is like the high end of where uh black myth wukong is uh and it sold 10 million copies within three days so i think 10 million copies within three days is actually around where you're going to see this.
20:06Tim Gettys:Really? I do think this game is going to be huge. I mean, again, normally people are walking up to me talking to me about, like, Crimson Desert on the street. Yeah. People I don't know. You hear this Crimson Desert? No, but I was talking to my trainer this morning, and he was just like, this is how he referred to it. He looked at me and said, are you getting the game? I said, what game? He said, the game. I said, Crimson Desert? He's like, yeah. I'm like, wow. That is the game for you. You know what I mean? That is like, this is the thing that you're looking forward to. It is like all-encompassing.
20:34Tim Gettys:It's this big curiosity, right? Like, I do think that that is, I mean, the way that people are thinking about it is the big game for the next four months. I mean, yeah, like every now and then I'll open up Twitter, right? And like, there was a dude who I think is on the Joe Budden podcast and I was tweeting about Crimson Desert. That was the moment for me. I was like, damn, this is bigger. Yeah, I think 10 million easy. I think this game is good. No. Yeah. Easy? I think next week we're going to be talking about the headline, it hit 10 million. Is this a pizza bet? This might be a pizza bet. for me.
21:01Pizza bet. All right. We're going to shake on it. Seven days. In a week, you're saying 10 million. Yeah. All right. Yeah, I don't think it hits 10 million. I think it's 10 million.
21:11Tim Gettys:Fair enough. There it is, everybody. We did it. Pizza bet. What type of pizza do you like? Sorry, I should ask, what type of pizza do I like? I got a lot of answers. Listen, you're about to give me some Pizza Hut, just so you know. I can do that. You should go square by, guys. One thing I want to double back, right? I feel like I went hard on it. And I do want to say that some people are going to fuck with this game. Some people are really going to like this game. I looked at some of the reviews, right? And it's like Paul Taske at Forbes gave it like a 9.5, right? Like some of the content creators I follow put in over 100 hours and they fuck with it.
21:49I think that's going to be more of, I don't want to say a niche, but I don't think that's going to be as big of the piece of the pie of people that play this game. Sure.
21:59Tim Gettys:but you might think you yes but also like how many people do i know that own witcher 3 that never got to that you know 100 hour mark but then also the people that i know that fucking love it like that's their game right but if that person those people in those friend groups that say you've got to get fucking crimson desert that's i don't think this is gonna be a witcher 3 well i'm just saying like if that is happening within our small group of people that got codes right that are reviewers that are critics right like that not is always indicative right but it just shows that it can get your the game is not unable to get their hooks in you right like it is it is possible for that to become someone's game it's like i could see if you like mmos i could see you liking this game that's the thing is like there's something there as far as this is the developers of what's the name of the mmo black thing desert yes black desert yeah which is also huge and again that's goes back to my 10 million thing of like that has such a huge fan base right there plus add on everybody that wants a new witcher type game like yeah yeah yeah we'll see we shall see We'll see.
22:53Tim Gettys:Also, before we move on to the next story, we are doing a Crimson Desert Marathon stream. That is right. Andy Cortez is going to be hanging out, I believe, around 4 p.m., starting off his journey. And before that, we're going to be doing a Gamescast Plays with Greg and me. You. Yeah. Blessing. Hell yeah. Yeah. That's really cool. I want to bring in some super chats. CRob23 writes in and says, I think it'll be fine.
23:27I had heard from previews that the game was difficult, so hearing journalists had a hard time wasn't surprising. Yeah, but I don't think journalists had a hard time with the difficulty. That's the thing I've been saying people spread online, and I'm like, most of the reviews I'm reading are more so like they're not into the world and the story characters and all that stuff. Game journalists, we're not bad at games. Never. Some are. Wow. I've seen Greg Miller play a video game. I'm only talking shit about Greg. nobody else uh don't get me not again not you not again el capitan 2293 says i would buy the stock right now if it was openly traded in the u.s the sales report is going to boost the stock back up
24:06Tim Gettys:there you go yeah again 30 off everybody yeah i agree with you like now this is financial advice so we'll be back not real financial advice but come on it's easy yeah what's up everybody Welcome to Financial Advice with Les and Roger. I want to double back to what Roger opened this segment with, which is, hey, it's 30 % off right now. Come on, bro. That shit. Y 'all want money? I might not agree with the 10 million, but I do agree that it is going to sell pretty well. People are talking about this game. There's a hype about this game. People aren't going to let good reviews. Like, this is the other thing is that the reviews are good.
24:43It's not like the reviews are trash. It's that the reviews, they're not saying it's a masterpiece, but it's the good reviews.
24:48Tim Gettys:Shares are at$30. you know i mean the game itself is like what 60 70 that's half the game you know what i mean come on buy the game buy the stock you know what i mean pays for itself now i think this might be only applicable if you live in korea ah you know vpn vpn your stocks i don't know if you can do that yeah vpn i don't know if you can do that let's move on to story number two actually i feel like this is gonna be a bigger conversation so before we get there i want to tell you about patreon.com slash kind of funny and youtube.com slash kind of funny games where you can go and get the kind a funny membership, which allows you to get shows ad free.

29:28Yeah, it's a... It'll probably run good on PS5 Pro because we've seen PS5 Pro. Definitely not the Series S, bro. Oh, no, that might make the Series S take off like a rocket.
29:37Tim Gettys:I mean, Greg's computer sounded like a rocket ship every time he was playing it right behind me. So, yeah, I don't know. I'm curious to see how a console does with that game. That's going to be the big question mark as far as how well is it going to do on those platforms. But I digress. Story number two, PlayStation is phasing out the PlayStation Network branding. This is from Tom Henderson at Insider Gaming. PlayStation will be dropping the PlayStation Network and PSN branding by September 2026. In an email sent to developers and seen by Insider Gaming, PlayStation will be dropping the PlayStation Network and PSN branding.
30:07It's said that the change will be purely visual and is a means to properly capture the breadth of our evolving digital services. The full email reads, quote, We'd like to inform you that Sony Interactive Entertainment has strategically decided to phase out the terms PlayStation Network and PSN across our platform in order to properly capture the breadth of our evolving digital services. The upcoming changes are purely visual and will not introduce any technical alterations to our offerings. To simplify and unify branding, the terms PlayStation Network and PSN will be phased out across all SIE assets by September 2026.
30:42All features currently associated with PSN, including core network features such as friends, multiplayer, and trophies will remain unaffected and available to players. He'll be notified ahead of changes coinciding with the technical requirements checklist, aka TRC, update in the fall of 2026, end quote. It's currently unclear on what the new name of the network will be. Roger, what are you naming this thing? What do we name, what do we rename PSN to? I mean, PSN2. PSN2.
31:11Tim Gettys:T-O-O. Also. Also, we have Crunchyroll. Also. So I know the answer. It's not a good one, but it's what they're going to do. It's just PS Plus. Oh, all of it's PS Plus. Then what do they call the paid version of it? PS Plus. That's what it is. I guess. Yeah, I guess you're right. Like, well, isn't that confusing then? Cause you can use PSN. Can you really? I mean, you can have friends, right? Barely. I mean, you can't even talk to them. I mean, can you talk to them for free? I don't know. That was the Xbox 360 thing, right? You needed gold in order to talk to your friends and everything back in the day.
31:45Tim Gettys:I don't know how that has evolved. But yeah, you need to play at least games. You need PS Plus. So, I mean, why not just call everything PS Plus? And then just the free tier. Everyone has the core version or whatever, which allows you to, I don't know, turn on the internet. It's not the fun version, but it's like, that's probably what they're doing here. Because like PlayStation Network, we don't really say network anymore. We mostly talk about PS Plus, and that is the way that you are able to play video games online. So it sucks, but it is weird. It also kind of makes me feel like there is a curve ball here because they don't mention it here.
32:16Tim Gettys:That's the other thing. Yeah, they don't mention it. And it's bizarre also reading this email. They're like, you know, we're going to phase out the terms PlayStation Network and PSN across all, but they don't say anything else. They don't tell you what the new name is. So it's just weird. It's a weird email right there. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, an email sent to developers. Yeah, I don't know. It's a weird one. I think that's not a bad thought. Like, that's not a bad prediction. I think that's probably the front runner on what this is going to be. but also let's workshop some ideas well my only beef with it is that like plus implies like you're getting something more right like ps plus is like oh i'm paying for the plus features yeah but i guess people don't care i mean they also have the here's the thing right like they have like the three tiers name them playstation plus essential playstation plus premium and playstation plus extra extra yeah i think i got those mixed up i think you might of got it oh i think it's extra than premium okay so they have the three right so in the base is just playstation plus for free everyone gets no but they're not gonna do that i mean it's just no but it's playing online you're not gonna let people play online for free no i'm just saying like we just i mean like to have it all right i mean like what i'm saying is like unless you change that to like now you have to get extra to play let's have a greater question what's up what is playstation network what does it mean now in 2026 is it the online functionalities okay because i look at playstation network as like i guess anything that's online related so like if psn is down that means i can't play my games online that means like everything's how do you play your games online you need ps plus yeah but i also like i guess that'd be okay free to play fortnite i can play that without ps plus that is true that is true hey i play that on psn the fortnite tax on me right there it's great tax um and also just other online like when you turn have you when was last time you played your on your playstation and like your like the internet was out because that shit that shit feels dead yeah it's scary it's kind of scary no ads it's like what's going on here dude i put a blu-ray into it last night and it was asking me if i wanted to fucking like connect to the internet to watch my i was like what why is that even why this is a criterion video like you feel it feels like you walked into the house from pt when you put up your playstation it's not connected to the internet it's like something's off man we're broken remember back in the day you just put your disc in your place in two and you just hope it didn't show you the red stuff oh my god i hated the red stuff dude when the red stuff first started popping up i thought i was done for where did you play video games like where did you get in the living room like was it like in your room because like mostly in my room when i lived in nigeria that was in the living room okay for me it was in a basement alone so that was even scarier imagine that red would pop up and you're like it's satan talking to me i would start running away and start crying and my mom would know what was happening your mom would come in and be like, why isn't it reading the disc?
34:59Tim Gettys:It's because I scratched Batman Vengeance for the 50th time. It wasn't your fault. It was the PlayStation's fault. No, I was scratching that shit. I was running around. Yeah, I was running around. I was going crazy. But I'm pretty sure like a lot of PS2s... Because like, what's the red stuff? What's the red stuff? So back in the day, when you would play PS2, eventually what would happen is that PlayStation 2s would have a tough time reading discs for, I think, just a built-in hardware reason. I think over time they would just degrade or whatever. Oh, really? And maybe some discs were bad. I just assumed
35:26different discs where it's like i know both these discs ain't fucked up but you're still not reading this shit yeah either way you would um if it was having a tough time reading the disc it would then you know how you would have the ps2 towers yeah the and it's blue all blue it would essentially turn from blue to red and be like hey dude we're fucked right yeah okay yeah this is oh yeah this
35:47Tim Gettys:is it so it would go here and usually it'd go into it and go this is scariest
35:55Tim Gettys:yeah no why is that so scary it is the scariest sound effect because they're yelling at you they're like you put an xbox cd in this we know yeah we know i would try to do that once i try to put uh two ps2 games on top of each other to thinking that they would merge i thought that maybe sly cooper and also grand theft auto would become one video game you know that's that's fucking crazy but also like kids are so dumb because i i gifted my nephew my nintendo switch uh because i was upgrading to the oled yeah and then like a year later i went i went to their house and when i tell you the shit was so fucked up it had cracks in it like it's like they're using it to hammer on shit and i'm like i gifted this you a year ago why does the switch look like this what did you do i gifted you this in sonic why I didn't look like this.
36:46Tim Gettys:So yeah, I think it's gonna be PlayStation Plus. I think that's the simpler answer here. Especially since they keep on saying like, oh, we're not changing anything in the back end. I did see on rslashgaming leaks and rumors, some person who's like trying to connect the dots and be like, oh, well, maybe it is like them trying to like bring everything together. Like all the PlayStation, not PlayStation, Sony stuff together. Like they have Crunchyroll, they have streaming services, all that jazz. I don't necessarily believe that. I could see one day where they have PS Plus, you know super extra that has crunchy roll because i do think that that is not a circle in terms of the venn diagram but there's a lot of overlap there and i think that is you know kind of a good deal right there if you can be like hey i get ten dollars off my crunchy roll subscription and i also get ps plus that works but uh yeah i don't i don't think that i think it's just me playstation plus sadly yeah boring let's move on to story number three ubisoft ends game development at tom clancy studio red storm resulting in 105 job losses this is andy robinson at Video Games Chronicle.
37:42Ubisoft is ending game development at historic Tom Clancy game studio RedStorm, resulting in 105 job losses, VGC understands. But the North Carolina-based studio will continue operating in the form of global IT and Snowdrop support, but all game developers have been made redundant, Ubisoft announced internally on Thursday. Founded in 1996 by Tom Clancy, RedStorm developed the first... What? I know, right? I read that, I was like, wait, that's crazy. Really? Yeah.
38:07Tim Gettys:like it's bro actually like he put his name it wasn't just like hey we're just gonna license your name out like he founded that company apparently yeah founded in 1996 by tom clancy red storm developed the first games based on the author's books including shooters rainbow six and ghost recon which would go on to become significant game franchises i didn't realize that either that's so wild nuts the studio was acquired by ubisoft in 2000 and went on to develop numerous Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six sequels, including Advanced Warfighter from 2006. However, while Red Storm is best known for its association with Tom Clancy games, for the past decade, it's been focused on VR games such as Werewolves Within, Star Trek Bridge Crew, and Assassin's Creed Nexus VR.
38:48Its most recent project, the free-to-play The Division Heartland, was cancelled in 2024 following a series of public tests. Ubisoft's decision to end game development at Red Storm comes as part of his global cost-saving plan, which has so far resulted in the cancellation of six games, the postponement of seven others, and two studio closures. The cuts are part of Ubisoft's announcement of a major reset which will see its creative teams radically restructured into autonomous creative houses. This news is even sadder when you learn about the fact that this is founded by Tom Clancy.
39:20Tim Gettys:I'm looking at the Wikipedia page right now. Founded in November 1996 between author Tom Clancy, manager doug little john's and software development company virtuous corporation wait doug who little john's is that one word yep little john's you think that's little john related to little john do you think that's his real name wait no i was making a little john joke no i know okay well do i think little john is his man's real name yeah no little john what are you saying to me right now do you think do you think the rapper singer whatever little john his actual name is little john no
39:59jesus doug little john's is that's an amazing name that's great um yeah no this is heartbreaking especially
40:07Tim Gettys:yeah you're sorry when you learn that news i did not know about that at all uh and i i didn't know their history right i knew their vr games i did not realize that they had such a a breadth of history right there when it comes to the original tom clancy studio right there i mean we're losing our recipes, right? Like that's, that is the story of this industry right now is that we're looking around and all of these companies that are the fundamental, you know, groundbreaking studios that did amazing stuff, monolith, like all of these amazing studios that maybe lost their way in the newer ages, right?
40:34Tim Gettys:Are just, they're being gutted. People have left and we're just left with kind of a husk of what they used to be and there's no direction. So then we just close it all down. And it's a failure of management and looking at this, it's just, again, the beginning, the not beginning, cause it's been happening for a while, but it just feels like the beginning of the end for ubisoft right like we're just gonna see these news stories pop up every few months of another studio that they had up that's shutting down up we don't know what to do with that if it's not working on the 10 cent you know whatever vantage group corporation that they're working on there it's gonna be cut yeah there's a there's like a game games cast topic like concept that we've been throwing around a little bit that i've been trying to think of think of how to do right which is like armchair ceo if you're in this company how would you write the ship how would you do it and in thinking through it i feel like there are some studios where in some publishers where things are so bad that i'm like i don't know like i don't know if there is any riding the ship right ubisoft is one where if we did the episode on ubisoft i'll probably show up and be like i just don't know if there's anything you can do at this point which saddens me because ubisoft is a studio that has one a lot of talented developers right two a lot of games that people historically love and have and like identify with and get excited about whether it be assassin's creed splinter cell beyond good and evil or like the list of different ips and three they have like such a a number of studios right like not just devs but they have the teams and it feels like these teams one by one are just getting cut getting closed down getting laid off the only thing that i can think of to save ubisoft would be the thing that all the shareholders would hate but the gamers would love is they get back to their roots of producing a lot of video games every single year right like of different Tom Clancy stuff of different, you know, Ray man splinter cell, but they just don't, they're not as technologically pushing the boundaries.
42:21Tim Gettys:You know what I mean? Like we're making double a video games. We're making a splinter cell that, you know, looks like it came out on the PS2, right? Like we're, we're put, we're doing, we're going the retro routes, but we're trying to bring up that nostalgia and that's the way to go forward. But again, it will never happen for a company this big. But if you went to indie teams and you said, Hey, make a cool, you know, Ray man video game, like you could probably get one out in a few years, but I just don't think that they're in the, the they're not in the way of uh maybe developing video games to actually finish and come out like that's not what ubisoft's uh bread and butter a publisher of a company and developers no they they don't they're just going to make the game and then cancel it eventually so they're not trying to get anything out the door other than uh fallout and i'm not following yeah yeah because like if i'm if i'm doing the same thing right like if i'm thinking through it i'll probably go all right we have what are our what are our temples assassin's creed far cry uh rainbow six slash tong plansey products okay we'll put those out every four years and then we try to workshop on how to create either door make dormant ip become relevant again or create new ip right yeah how do we do that i don't know let's look at a franchise like prince of persia and give it to a studio to make let's make a metroidvania with it or let's make a roguelite with it like great idea what if we gave made a smaller scale thing oh shit they did oh shit they closed the studio was the game good yes it was incredible like but it's so funny that this has been the story of ubisoft since 2012 2013 like like splinter cell like not to bring it back to splinter cell but it all all roads go back to splinter cell blacklist did great like it did it didn't sell as much as they wanted to but it sold millions of copies that wasn't enough you know what i mean like we have to put the whole franchise on ice for years and years and years it's like this has always been the story and again it goes up to management goes up to leaders it's like who's been the guy that's been the head of all this right who's been the person that has been the person that built it all up oh shit he's coming.
44:05Tim Gettys:Greg's here. Oh, God. It's just the energy. You know what I mean? You feel it. Yeah. We were having such a good time before you guys. Yeah, we're having so much fun.
44:10Andy Cortez:I wasn't even going to say anything. I was going to let you have your conversation, but blessing talking shit. Only one video game journal side. Okay, play games. I never complained about the difficulty of Crimson Desert. I like the difficulty of Crimson Desert. What's this? It's a number. Trying to read it out for our audio listeners? 415 343 5034. This is Greg holding a piece of paper with a number, and that's it. You know what that reminds me of? You ever play Metal Gear Solid 3? No. Okay, well, you well Greg you know the reference of like when you're there's a spoiler you're tied up as Snake yeah a couple years and then like you're being tortured and then in the background you see the ghost right and he's holding the thing yeah is that him
44:48Tim Gettys:when he's in jail and everything yeah that whole thing went triple platinum on X-Play and cheat they'll be like oh if you talk to the person at this time I was like oh yeah hell yeah because he will tell you the code of how to get out exactly yeah shout out to Kristen Holt bro you know whose number that was mine Was that your phone number? Yeah. All right. Call me, everybody. Follow him up. I have no idea. Story number four, Tomb Raider Studio faces fourth round of layoffs in just 12 months. This is Ethan Gotch at Kotaku. The home of Larkroft is cutting even more staff in its fourth round of layoffs in just a year.
45:18Crystal Dynamics recently revealed Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis and Tomb Raider Catalyst at the Game Awards 2025 and promises they'll both remain unaffected even as AAA gaming continues to struggle. Oh, you know what I bet that number is? Because we're doing a call-in show tomorrow where people can call in and leave voicemails. So I wonder if that's what that is. We'll see. Someone just put their actual phone number there too?
45:39Tim Gettys:That's crazy. No, that was the phone number you showed. No, it wasn't. Was it not? Foxy Steve over here just put the phone number to call. Don't call that number. The studio announced on March 18th that it was cutting 20 people across some development personnel and some central operation roles. That's in addition to 30 people laid off last November, an unspecified number cut last August, and 17 people let go last March. Quote, As our current projects move into new phases of development, we continuously take a hard look at our team structures to ensure they align with our long-term studio goals, the company wrote on LinkedIn.
46:11While we always strive to transition our people into new roles whenever possible, we have unfortunately reached a point where these departures are necessary. We know that news like this can cause concern amongst our community. Crystal Dynamics remains fully committed to the future development of our already announced Tomb Raider titles, the studio wrote on Wednesday. today however our priority is supporting our colleagues who are moving on and well
46:36Tim Gettys:tough man super sad news yeah super sad news um this is a wild one because like i think between ubisoft and uh crystal dynamics like i remember when they announced tomb raider and i was like very soon after their previous round of layoffs i remember being like well i want to be excited for tomb raider but it bums me out because my friend just got just got laid off from the team yeah since then my friend got her job back but now i'm like damn I had to call them up again To make sure they're good Hey, you're still there What's going on Did they do it again Snip snap, snip snap But yeah, you hate to hear this Because we talk about with Ubisoft But I'll even double it down With Crystal Dynamics Such a talented team When you look at their history When you look at The games they've been tasked To work on as well We want Tomb Raider to be good We want the team that makes Tomb Raider to be thriving And right now I look around And I'm like, oh man You know, you have some Exciting announcements you have some exciting games coming up but yeah this does not build well they were also dealt a bad hand with uh what was it a perfect dark and everything and you know perfect dark and avengers didn't go well yeah exactly right so it's it's it's tough i am also i've said this publicly many times like i'm very skeptical of this whole tomb raider coming back situation i just don't it doesn't scream successful to me like it doesn't it i think that there was an actual not fervent but there was excitement around the trilogy that they made the new one.
47:57Tim Gettys:And I don't think, I think ditching that was a bad move. I do think if they had the moment where it's like, Laura Croft is back and it's the actual fourth video game in that franchise. And we're actually doing it. And it's like, you know, it's, it's uncharted four, but for Laura Croft, I mean, Tomb Raider four, I don't know what I'm saying is like, Hey, we take a break in between the things. Right. And we, we come back and it's like, Oh no, she's older and she's wiser. And yada, yada, yada. I think that actually be very exciting for me having two games back to back one one after one year like i just i don't know this doesn't scream super exciting for me as somebody who got into it through the newer games um so and i do think there's a lot of people that got into tom raider through the newer games right so i don't know it's to me it's it doesn't feel as exciting and i worry a little bit about the team because of of that strategy i don't know if it's going to work out but i hope i hope it does i hope those games are good too let's move on to a happy story story number five we got one year till sonic 4 i'm pulling from ben schwartz on Twitter, aka at rejected jokes, aka the man, the myth, the Sonic himself.
48:57He tweeted out one year to go to Sonic 4. Jim is back and look who else is coming to play. And then he lists the cast and says, he'll see you on March 19th, 2027. He also posts a teaser trailer. Kevin, if you can hit play on this. I've actually not sat down to watch.
49:15Tim Gettys:Okay, it's the hammer. It's the hammer from Amy Rose. Oh, it's cracking. Oh no, it's a cracking time. Maybe you think you're worth it.
49:26Is that Keith David? It's a joke. The chaos has only just begun. Oh, it's Amy.
49:41Oof. Come on. That's the title reveal, everybody. Movie's called Sonic the Hedgehog 4. It's called Sonic 4 the Hedgehog. Sonic 4 the Hedgehog. Whoa. very important Tim posted a Slack message with this link and says he adds both me and you and says the music is the Sonic CD intro song Sonic Boom this is important
50:02Tim Gettys:nerd no Jim Carrey whose voice is that? well they don't mention it oh oh Jim is back oh that is Jim yeah I was gonna say I was like is that voice not Jim Carrey well I just don't call him his Jim oh sure they say Jim is back and I'm like oh he's Jim what is it the real Jim Carrey or is it the guy that we saw in the video? Oh, dude, get me started. You know what I mean? It's like when they cloned Paul McCartney that one time. Is anybody new in this cast? Was Nick Offerman always in this stuff? Did he voice somebody I don't know about? Is there Matt Berry? Is Matt Berry always been in this? Sonic.
50:40I don't remember Nick Offerman.
50:42Tim Gettys:I feel like I would remember Nick Offerman. Newcomers, Ben Kingsley, Nick Offerman. Got Ben Kingsley. And more. That's exciting. Do you have any crazy predictions? No. I just think is we're time travel because it's Sonic CD and all this stuff. Right. My here's where I'm at is that we're getting dangerously close to running out of like really good Sonic content for these movies. Very close. Because after this movie, it's where hogs, baby. Like, we're going to have to start doing where hogs. He's going to have to kiss a human girl. Like he's going to have to become a knight. Yeah, exactly. He's going to get a ring.
51:12We got to we got to cherish this movie because after this, things are going to start looking real, real, real, real, real bleak.
51:18Tim Gettys:I mean we might go into another universe Yakuza might be there We just start making the The whole cinematic universe We still have Sonic Heroes I feel like you could have to make it good Get the Team Chaotix in there That's fun I mean I think that's inevitably where they go It's like hey no we have a whole movie Where we're mostly in Green Hill Zone We're going to the world Maybe this is the ending of this one And then they're like oh actually you need to go back home Because time is fucking good here but it's not good in this place so you need to fucking see your owl mommy that's like oh shit tell me about my owl mommy we just kind of left that there i'd be so down mommy that was the first movie though right yeah but like it still has an owl mommy we don't talk about but like that's not lord like that's new he's a walking hedgehog okay but that's a new one for you know what i mean that's not that's not like old yeah but it's not something that i'm like oh owl mommy i'm like yeah i feel like that's we got tails is a fucking fox and he flies but it's tail knuckles is an echidna and he has big knuckles like i don't care about his owl it's a big everybody here is weird it's an owl mommy she died okay but that won't stop he can go back in time and save it maybe that's what this is about he goes back in time he's like oh i have the ability to go back in time i'm saving my owl mommy i i would like the idea of getting a movie where it mostly does not take place on earth oh yeah you're gonna get give us so there's so many here's the thing right i say we're running out of content we're not if we keep revisiting a bunch of the levels from the games that we haven't yet yet.
52:44Because there's so many wacky locations we can go to.
52:46Tim Gettys:But also, we don't even... We're at the point now where it's like, yes, we should keep on doing references, of course. You know, yada yada. Make the fans happy. But also, this can just be whatever it wants to be. Like, you know what I mean? Like, we could just make him and his friends... You can make an original Sonic story. Exactly. Like, I think everyone will be fine. It'll be good. Nick Offerman, someone super chats and says, Nick Offerman as Big the Cat. Oh, as Big the Cat. Oh. No, no, no. It's a good guess. they're guessing i like that though i like that idea here's the thing right sonic going back in time saving his owl mommy might fuck up the timeline if you think about it and that'd be big that'd be huge for sonic just like it was huge for the flash but if i wanted something smaller say the tiniest news they need to know about where would i go you go to our last story the we news channel where we cover all the small news items you need to know about come on i was just reminded of we literally described flashpoint remember the story when i told you i was on the plane and i was sitting next to a guy who was watching the flash and uh he's watching it's like the first season second season and he's watching like the episode like the first like crossover episode of the flash and arrow yeah and i looked at him and i said hey bro i don't know if you know this is your first time watching so yeah first time watching that there's like the rest of the episodes are in the other shows right so there's an arrow episode there's a legends of tomorrow episode they all connect and he looked at me like i like uncovered a fucking lost gem like he looked and being like, oh my gosh, I didn't know that.
54:01Tim Gettys:Thank you so much. He was like, I didn't know. I thought they just dropped the story. Yeah, literally. Yeah, literally. And then I told you that and you were like, bro, that would change my life. That would change my life. Oh, man. Imagine being able to tell someone that information. The problem with those things, with those crossovers, is that as the seasons kept going, first of all, all the shows got worse. But then they kept adding shows. And so now it's like. It's like Black Lightning. You have to watch this. Yeah, now I got to watch the episode of Black Lightning. First of all, though, we're not going to talk shit about Black Lightning.
54:27No, we're not. Black Lightning season one. fire. It was good. I didn't watch past that, but season one was fire. It was good. I never watched Supergirl, though, so that's on me. Supergirl's not very good. Yeah, and then what else they had? You said Legends of Tomorrow. They had... Was Gotham ever part of that? No. No, no, no. That's good.
54:44Tim Gettys:Keep that separate. That was a Fox show. When did they fight all the Nazis? Because I remember tuning into one episode. Oh, that was a good one. That was a fun one. That was a fun one. And then they also had an animated show on CW Sprout with... They had Vixen and then they also had The Ring. You can't have vixen on an animated show from cw sprout sprout sounds like a kid's no it was their free streaming app or whatever oh i'm telling you this lore goes deep bro i might watch black lightning later i forgot about black lightning that shit was fire oh it's a batgirl show and then they replaced the batgirl the main actress in the first season yeah that was hilarious tough oh seed seed seed cw oh cw seed okay when you say cw sprout i immediately went to the kids channel and then i mixed that up I was like, he can't put Vixen on a thing called Sprout.
55:29That's crazy. So number six is Wii News. Cana Bridge of Spirits comes to Switch 2 on March 26th. Vampire Crawlers launches April 21st on Xbox PS5, Switch, and PC. It's also coming to Game Pass. Vice Studios is working on a payday film or TV adaptation. I don't know why they don't know which. We'll see how long the script is. We'll figure it out from there. And then Liza P has sold over 4 million copies. Should be more. And this guy thinks Crimson Desert is going to hit 10 million. I mean, Liza P couldn't even sell 4.
55:57Tim Gettys:Yeah, okay, but this is Liza P, you know what I mean? No one gives a fuck about Pinocchio. This is one of the best - Big ass noses. One of the best non-Frum made Souls likes ever. Okay, that whole - And probably the first one, I run into a fuck about Pinocchio. You know, Crimson Desert is for the chads. I mean, no, it's one of the best from Software Souls like, also you play as Pinocchio. Yeah, it was fucking awesome. Yeah, though, you can have a gun for an arm. It's great. And that's it for Weenu. I want to play as Cliff. You're going to love Cliff. Are you planning to play Crimson Desert? Is this his real name Cliff?
56:25But it's with a K. That's hilarious. Yeah, I was watching the review TikTok, and I don't know who did it, but they misspelled Cliff as C-L-I-F-F, and I was like, you know what? That's fair. Yeah, it is fair. That's a fair subject to think that his name is spelled like how Cliff is usually spelled. Let's hop into Super Chats. See what people are talking about. Dat Boy Hex writes and says, I wasn't able to watch live yesterday, but one of the top NVIDIA DLSS 5 devs was spotted retweeting Grums, a known grifter, who's one of the folks who pushed using AI to make women more sexualized. Okay. Yeltsin writes in and says, Ubisoft will only be the first in the line of companies falling...
57:08Sorry, let me do that whole thing again. Ubisoft will be... Ubisoft will only be the first in the line of companies failing trying to appease shareholders by making the graph go up. Ubisoft won't last long. sad yeah splinter's little turnaround i hope so is that even happening apparently well it was the
57:29Tim Gettys:remake the director left the company and then came back so he's back everybody we figured it out and then they canceled prince of persia yeah yeah they needed to afford a salary el capitán says the blue bottom disc for ps2 were a different weight and they would scratch more easily me and my friends went through five copies of madden 04 i remember that as a kid of like having the two different like the silver and then the blue and being like yo what's up with the blue though what's going on yeah i was very fascinated with it yeah it's fancy and the ps1 just had like the black bottom or whatever that was pretty cool yeah that was dope i'll play in ps1 games a lot yeah my dad when i first got the ps2 i was so young he got me only ps1 games because he thought i wouldn't know the difference and i didn't you know i mean it's all the same shit to me yeah it all worked um hold on sort of serious gaming writes in and says internet people are so weird folks acting like he has a review of crimson desert or sorry they say cr but i think they mean crimson desert uh offends them personally just an opinion they didn't say anything about your mothers here's what i'll say okay wait sorry you just said that and i go to twitter to see the responses and then i quite literally this is the first message that i see responding to our post uh our little review uh crimson desert your opinion is worth nothing your words are is worth nothing your reputation is in the garbage so yeah that is that is what people are saying right now listen y 'all people need to understand you are allowed to enjoy games regardless of if i enjoy it you know what i mean there's so many things that i like that you don't like exactly you know i don't like actually i do like i was gonna say i don't like pineapple on pizza it depends on the day sometimes i do over hated over hated i don't like i don't know what's something i don't like roger i can't think of something i don't like i like a lot of things you want me to add a wee news really quick yeah add it Kirsten Dunst joins a Minecraft movie sequel.
59:17Tim Gettys:Huge. But is she live action, or is she going to play one of the blocky people? I didn't watch the movie. As Alex? Wait, wait, what? Okay, that's big news, because it was one of the women from SNL, Kate McKinnon, maybe? She was Alex in the post-credits scene. So they recast her with Kirsten Dunst. Big news, everybody. Big news. that's huge that's crazy yeah no it's very fascinating it was very fun reading the the the chat during crimson desert excuse me because like you know what's gonna happen right like yeah especially knowing that people weren't super high on it in the office and so as i'm reading through the thing it was very partly entertaining honestly of like every single time somebody would throw personal attacks and like i know somebody is like very much not on point with whatever point they're making when they can't attack the points they have to attack the person oh Greg liked XYZ thing therefore it's like well what's the problem with what he's saying I feel like that's the very telltale sign of alright you're just not acting in good faith here AlexioStevens609 says not to rain on Blessings Parade but a team imported leaf green but a team imported from leaf green won't even be a little bit viable in champions so much power creep slash new mechanics listen I'll try my best and here's the thing you're probably right i'll probably end up like trying to import them and then using them for a battle and being like ah shit everybody's cracked i need to like yeah i need to figure out mega evolutions or whatever but at the very least i think it'd be cool to try i think it'd be cool to like let them try let me cosplay a little bit come on it'll be like ash catch them i'm just gonna lose all the battles anyway when it gets to the championships spoilers spoilers jeff bull jr says people are forgetting the elden ring dlc where journalists beat it etc and when the players got it players complained it was too hard you know what i mean yeah real gamers that's how i knew it was real not to keep it on liza p but i knew it was serious when i beat liza p before the review embargo i was like y 'all can't tell me shit yeah this game is fucking hard this game was hard gamer and i picked a bad spec route like yeah the one of the i forget which spec it was but i specced toward essentially like the dexterity i think it was technique um and technique was not technique was essentially hard mode in that game at least at the time he's a real gamer everybody so come at me um let's see let's see let's see let's see i think that's it for super chats actually let me scroll back down and see if any came through we got a couple that just came through professor white t writes in and says a game getting good after 30 hours is impractical and a bad game as a family man it took me two weeks to beat re9 and my completion was 10 hours and then we got one more from amazing inspired and he says love the rent shirt bless welcome back dude thank you so much let's hop into you're wrong were you writing list of what we got wrong as we got it wrong so we can correct it for those watching later on youtube and listening later on podcast services around the globe let's see grezik mentioned the seed and sprout thing that we figured out important and then one more from kebabs ash didn't lose all of his league battles um wow well he won like that was the thing that tim got hyped about last year i was just i was just remarking at kebabs moving so fast that was a good it was a fast oh yeah kebabs i'm pretty sure kebabs just has it open in a cab that is it for you're wrong and that is it for this episode of kind of funny games daily roger thanks so much for joining me thanks for having me bud of course if you're watching live remember you can support us with the kind of funny membership even if you're not watching live you can support us the kind of funny membership over on patreon or youtube to get all of our shows ad free and get a daily exclusive show enjoy games cast next and everything after but until next time game daily
