In short
Kinda Funny Games Daily episode covering major gaming news: Fable delayed to February 2027, Xbox boss Asha Sharma warning of “hard choices” amid Game Pass changes, 007 First Light’s strong sales, Activision filing a Crash Bandicoot motion picture trademark, PlayStack being sold to IMC/GameSpot/Fandom parent, and FIFA’s “digital football” strategy.

Key claims
- Fable moved to February 2027 to get a “dedicated moment,” with a deeper look planned for Xbox’s June 7 showcase.
- Asha Sharma’s memo implies difficult internal decisions (potentially studio cuts/cancellations), while Game Pass pricing/Call of Duty day-one removal improved retention.
- IO Interactive’s 007 First Light sold 1.5M copies in 24 hours, fastest in studio history.
- Crash movie/series trademark likely won’t reach “real show” level.
- PlayStack sale is framed as capital allocation; hosts fear indie publishers getting “muddied.”
- FIFA is shifting to multi-publisher development under “digital football,” with a Netflix-timed FIFA World Cup Launch Edition by Delphi Interactive.
Notable examples
- Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 added to Game Pass 12 months later.
- 007 First Light sales split: at least a third on PC via Steam; China 18% of Steam players vs US 29%.
- Mention of Rocksteady/unionization speculation around GTA 6 rollout timing.

0:43what's up everybody and welcome back to kind of funny games daily for friday may 29th 2026. I am your horse. Your horse. I'm your fucking horse. Whose horse is that? You know what? Here's the thing. There's been a song stuck in my head the last week. Okay. It is an old internet video that you might be too young for. Okay. Do you remember the Badger, Badger, Badger song? Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger. How high do you have a beer? Badger, Badger. This is early. This is early.
1:16Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Was it 2006? Cause as I mentioned, I was out of the country. Oh yeah. You know what? Actually, it was 2006. It might've been a little before that. I was in like third or fourth grade, I want to say. So it was like 2003, 2004 plus. Okay. Okay. And they, I think it was by a flash animator named Weebly. W-E-E-B-L-Y. I think I know Weebly. They did a bunch of stuff. And then the followup to the Badger Badger video was, uh, look at my horse. My horse is amazing. dude. It's been stuck in my head. that sounds like some mid two thousands internet. 100%. Not like you brought that up. And now chats are also shouting it out.
1:54The part of the badger video that really, you know, levels it up, levels it up is, it's a snake. Okay.
2:02Blessing Adeoye Jr.:You guys are pranking me now. It's got together before the show. You planned this. You got me guys. Well, everyone, I am your horse, Tim Geddes, And I'm joined today by blessing Eddie O.E.A. Jr. How are you doing, Tim? I'm doing good. Bless. Can't wait to talk about video games today. 2:36For now, let's begin with what is and forever will be the Roper Report. it's time for some news we have seven stories today story number one coming in very very hot right before the show fable is delayed to 2027 this comes directly from xbox on twitter who post this year is packed with incredible games for xbox players to enjoy from halo campaign evolved gears of war e-day and call of duty modern warfare 4 to control resident star wars galactic racer shout out to that getting such prominent placement
3:16Blessing Adeoye Jr.:and they're like we got to get it out the way fable is the way galactic racers coming in
3:21Andrew Reiner:that's the one galactic racer in between control resident and grand theft auto six hey put some respect that's our wars galactic racers hell yeah in order to plan our game launches through the holidays in a way that works best for players we're moving fable to february 2027 so we can have the dedicated moment it deserves we're excited to be giving players a major new look at fable as well as our broader lineup at xbox game showcase on june 7th i just want to start this one off go for it yeah yes i think that this is just the best possible news for everyone involved except for strictly people that are like fable is my favorite thing on the goddamn planet I don't give a shit about Grand Theft Auto.
4:01I don't give a shit about the success of Fable. Because that's the other thing. If you don't care about the success and maybe getting more, and you're just selfishly trying to play the game that you're waiting for, then sure, yeah, let's put this thing out around GTA and let it die. You know? February's not that far from wherever it was going to be this year.
4:19Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah, I forget, did we have a release date? No, it was just 2026, right? So yeah, I think that this is an ultimate win. I feel like them saying that we're looking out for the gamers and dedicated time for the game it's like we talk about this constantly this is the right move i firmly believe 100 i have no hesitation that a february date is the best possible outcome for a fable game yeah i'm right there with you i think my i'm a bit more i guess even as far as my happiness about this and my sadness about this my sadness being i'm really looking forward to fable that game looks fucking amazing right so this is one that i was hoping would have landed in that early fall range it's been weird slash interesting to see how they've been talking about their games and showing them off versus where they've been uh landing on where they're coming out because in the way that we saw fable during the xbox developer direct i would have thought oh man this looks ready like you're showing us so much gameplay here and we've we've not seen have we seen any gameplay of gears of war e-day i think we just saw that cinematic trailer but that's the thing though is like the moment that they gave the the big post xbox showcase showcase moment to gears it's like oh okay that's locking in where yeah but just in the order in which they've shown these things i would have thought that fable would have been maybe early fall and then gears would have been maybe later yeah now i'm with you too now in the way things are shaking up it's like okay maybe gears is gonna come in around august september do you think well that's the thing is like all right we just got confirmation the call of duty's october right yesterday i'm pretty sure that i can double check what they said but that sounds about right um and then they have halo campaign evolved which i would bet money at this point is either a shadow drop ish uh on june 7th during the showcase or july and i'd probably put my money on july okay right um and then that does leave august open for gears but august seems a little early maybe not i don't know because especially if they're dropping that i mean their showcase after the showcase yeah the spotlight whatever you want to call it right yeah those games there's no pattern to follow because i mean i guess it's always the big fall game well no because it was call of duty one year right we had starfield yeah but those didn't come out the same outer worlds too yeah and that was november
6:39Andrew Reiner:you know i mean most of them came out in november not that that really says anything sure call of duty is october 23rd which let me tell you this is a tough google because there's
6:50Blessing Adeoye Jr.:been so many call of duty modern warfares that ghoul's like i don't know man here's call of duty for modern warfare's release date and i'm like i don't know what i'm looking for exactly you know what's really funny uh fox i i did not sleep well last night wolf fox says gears is september i forgot september was a month oh my god tim yeah no gears is september lock it in september that sounds right that sounds right that sounds right i can buy september because i i think the thing with fable and the thing with these dates shifting around is that if anything seems like it's coming out in the immediate vicinity or after gta i think that's where you worry i think if you get far enough ahead of gta i think it just i think a september is fine i even think in october is fine once you land in november then i think you're in the splash zone november going into going on for like let's say january gta is coming november 19th which means if we're going off of gta 5 i don't remember exactly when we got that but i want to say it was september early yeah no i'm saying review codes oh okay like i i remember us playing that game for like a month before it came out and i could be wrong about that maybe it was three weeks but it was still it was more than um other games so if that's the case i do feel like just the general like a people can only like the people reviewing these games if they even do reviews uh the traditional way for this game um i think they definitely won't i still think that you can get away with releasing a game up to like that week of november 8th like that first week in november i think is like a safe zone for most games not for fable okay because fable like it being a giant big rdb like you really need to like give that thing dedicated time and again i think february honestly i'm like february february i think is nice february i think is good enough i would almost push it further i'd almost be like yo let's get this shit out in march april like just for obviously very different games between fable and gta but similar in terms of their games with big scope that have a lot of interactivity that want you to like live in them and hang out with the NPCs, especially Fable with what they're pushing in this game.
9:03Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It's like, this is a big sandbox. So we're talking about two big sandbox video games. Yeah, but I do think that calling the shot now and like owning that February spot early, like them getting ahead of this news even before the June 7th event. Yeah. It does two things, right? It feeds into them clearly trying to hit a PR beat like every single week. Yes. And it also is them getting bad news out of the way. How long do you think they've been sitting on this? Because obviously with the showcase coming up next week, you would have thought that they've made this choice for a while because you're going to see a Fable Deep Dive, or not Deep Dive, but Fable Trailer.
9:37I mean, there's multiple ways to look at that because they either, this was the plan all along, and they just, like I was just saying, get the bad news out of the way and frame it in a way that doesn't feel like bad news, honestly. Or is this just confirmation that they now officially know that GTA is hitting this year? Oh, interesting. you know they have information we don't can anyone say that for sure i don't know yeah i don't know take two could say that yeah exactly but like me i'm just just putting that out there some level
10:05Andrew Reiner:of conspiracy theory that's not out of the realm of how what's reality collectively are we how confident are we in november for gta i'm feeling pretty damn confident i'm also feeling pretty good like it's i feel like it's not feeling good you're not feeling good there's a piece of wee news that we could bring up uh early but the um let's see let me see if i can find it is it the part where the rockstar north devs have unionized the union is preparing to take rockstar to court over the firings of 30 of their unionized colleagues i'm not saying this is like gonna be a huge wrench in their plans but you know if if a union is forming which is fucking awesome and you know those 30 people were fired to prevent a union from forming um i i could see possibly if things escalate uh a strike so there is that in play as well i'm not saying it's guaranteed but i'm not like more confident now than i have been in the past that is a good point i do think that more money than god has something to say about it though
11:07Blessing Adeoye Jr.:yeah like i think i i think a strike will definitely affect rockstar operations i don't think it'll affect the amount of operations required for launching a gta 6 but who knows
11:16Andrew Reiner:like i don't depending on how this scales maybe we get there yeah i mean i will say i'm not a hunt i wouldn't bet anything substantial on gta hidden this year i just think it does like i just think that i mean we're getting to a point that we're going to get that pre-order trailer right at any point any moment it could happen yeah we're in that range right i was i was talking to
11:39Blessing Adeoye Jr.:somebody about this of like what does the rest of the rollout look like for gta 6 trailers i'm thinking sometime maybe toward the end of summer you get a story trailer and then maybe even closer to gta 6 you get either a launch trailer or an online trailer like i think we got two trailers by the time by the time we get to launch yeah i just think the next trailer is going to be a pre-order thing because i think oh yeah that is really the like it's happening and it could still get delayed things have in the past but like if that's the case then i think we're i think you're waiting until at least late summer i don't think they're gonna do that like have that level of confidence even internally until we get months out from it yeah i mean well we are months out right we're just running out of time sure for november 19th so it's like i yeah i'm with you where i don't expect it during summer game fest week you know what i mean i'm i am thinking like as early as july i think is reasonable okay i'm not mad at that um but yeah then in terms of going back to what you're saying about this being uh like how how planned was this like i do firmly believe that fabled in 2026 was the plan yes i agree with that yeah um and so i do think that this is just them looking at the landscape of everything and the wording here is very particular of them saying a way that works best for our players like we don't hear shit like that normally this sounds like us talking about how we wish that they would talk about this stuff i mean x i feel like xbox has been doing that recently a lot recently so it's like okay that's where that is um so i i do think that do you think with the changes from uh you know phil's leadership to asha's leadership do you think the asha sharma institution here has anything to do with this like do you think if phil was still in charge no this anything would go differently here
13:36Andrew Reiner:as far as this fable delay i mean i think it's impossible to say i think it absolutely could have went different like it's just it all comes down to vision and committing to that vision and how much backing you have to just not waver from it and i think that right now asha sharma has more backing than phil did at the end yeah right and it's like you know the vision that they were trying to build had so many sways and missteps and missteps not even the right word like distractions um that this is so far at least a much more concerted effort towards a consistent vision that consistent vision kind of just seems to be like asking people what they want and trying their best to do it yeah which is you know like not necessarily business-wise like the smartest
14:22Blessing Adeoye Jr.:thing but maybe the best thing is like it's i will talk i mean the story number two i think is going to deal with a lot of this right but you'd mention it feels like there's a pr beat every week from Xbox and there is and I think there's something to where Xbox has been at for years and what they're trying to do post Phil Spencer and I think that involves making a lot of changes that sway the audience even if internally you might be having a whole different conversation internally and that's not for the audience to know about but we have to make waves in public perception. It's pro wrestling. Everything's pro wrestling.
14:56Blessing Adeoye Jr.:100 % yeah we are out here like telling we're trying to sway the story of xbox and so we're going to capitalize the logo we're going to ask the audience and look at the audience what the audience is saying and be like yeah let's do that yeah what can we do there what can we do there and then internally we're figuring shit out yeah you know who knows what's really happening internally but i mean dude the i'm very excited to see what the showcase looks like and what the tone and vibe of it is because the last couple i'd say have been incredible showcases like the last couple summer game fest era xbox showcases were bangers starting with the one that announced south of midnight like three years ago i want to say yeah like they just had a really really really good um cadence of being able to talk about again because they own the fucking world so it's like them being able to announce games from what is it now like 3 000 developers or something like it's an insane number um so i expect that to continue here but i do expect a different voice like we we already saw some like behind the scenes clips of or pictures of Asha Sharma hosting.
15:58So this is going to be our first time really seeing her do a showcase. Yeah. So does that have a different voice or is it just a different person, you know, with a more gradient green? With a stronger green. Hey, we'll have to see. We'll have to see. I want to get a couple of super chats in here. Science stock official says, RIP, someone's fantasy critic. I know.
16:20Andrew Reiner:I was looking at that this morning. I don't know who got it.
16:22Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It was Mike. Mike did the thing where he bought a bunch of games.
16:24Andrew Reiner:Yeah.
16:25Blessing Adeoye Jr.:but mike's also for for his weird crazy strategy it's still not looking like the worst for him because he got forza he got uh adventures of elliot which i think is going to do well for him meat boy didn't do as as well as i think any of us thought it would have vampire crawlers did well for him he got he has halo combat evolved fables now delayed so he's not going to get that but i think he could still drop it i'm sure he has drops he have he has ghost of yote legends which is not getting reviewed and then he has which we told him it wouldn't he has diablo which is doing good he has at fate's end which looks incredible and then he has world of warcraft midnight which did well so like most one drop but bless he also only has one dollar ah ah yeah that's that's the misstep the gotcha yeah he bought a bunch of games at a ridiculous price but he is also clearly stated he is not trying to win this year he's trying to help roger win this year Roger's trying to get rid of orbitals What does Roger know about orbitals What does he know
17:23Andrew Reiner:What does he know Did you know that orbitals is a Switch 2 exclusive No Isn't that crazy Is it really How did none of us know this If you asked me I would have been like Oh yeah it debuted at like an Xbox I was looking into orbitals and on their Twitter it just says Come into Switch 2 It was shown at a Nintendo Partner Showcase outside of just the game awards that we saw it at originally. Yeah, look. Orbitals launches on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
17:55Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I mean, good for the Switch 2. It's just crazy. Yeah. It'll come to other things.
18:01Andrew Reiner:Hopefully soon. I mean, either way, I'm playing this. I don't know. Feel the surge has bummed for the fabled delay, but also very glad because I counterpicked it in our Fantasy Critic League. Ooh, that's a good counterpick there. Yeah. Yeah. fucking nerd says gta coming before fable will boost sales for fable everyone who have bought a console for gta will probably be looking for another game to play by february it's perfect timing yeah i really agree yeah there's gonna be this like post gta golden era for for the people that did wait to get a console for this game and that are going to want to play games after that and um i mean i don't think people are going to be buying xboxes for that for gta yeah i think i i mean but like they're buying people will i think people will buy more people will buy playstation 13 people will buy that no people will buy x not one more than 13 no but people will buy xboxes i mean xbox literally i'm like memes jokes aside here yeah real talk if xbox wants to get fucking serious about getting people back they would need to do some insane cuts of just understanding they're taking losses and they need to put the xbox series x out at 300 slash that shit take the hit what if i told you about the xbox series s but that's not it we're talking about gta 6 we need these things to run this game needs to work well that's the big question how is gta 6 going to look on the xbox series s like will it run because if it runs i think i think the series s is the answer they need to make this thing so the top of the line one the not top line the real one the real console that they are pushing for gta 6 my here's the thing my argument against that is
19:48Blessing Adeoye Jr.:that if i'm joe schmoe who has waited six years to buy a console for something like gta 6 to come through i don't if my choices are at a thousand dollar playstation 5 pro or a 300 xbox series s i think i think you're the kind of customer that might lean towards a series s like i think i don't think so most people are going to go playstation because of just where everything's at but i think the people who want that high like you know that high-end console experience i think they're already they've already bought in i think those are the people who have been playing over the last six years yeah i i think there's been a lot of people waiting for a next-gen upgrade for gta 6 and i think if you're waiting for a next-gen upgrade you want a next-gen upgrade and and even then i'm talking like the price has to be so low for it to make more sense to like want to get it i don't think that makes sense business-wise i don't think that'd be the right call they're crazy right
20:39Andrew Reiner:now they might do it you know if someone on twitter says it's a good idea maybe they'll listen i think the ratio is going to be two to one i think for every two playstations sold i think we'll get maybe one x i think it's going to be 10 to one no yeah it's not like that it's like it's not like have you seen the xbox sales hardware sales where are we at with xbox hardware hardware ourselves catch me up 14 14 million no
21:04let's go to story number two uh new xbox boss ashisharma reportedly warned staff hard choices are ahead but insist recent game pass changes are helping this comes from wesley and pool at ign uh ashisharma the new boss of xbox has reportedly warned staff that hard choices are ahead as microsoft works to rebuild its gaming brand in the eyes of core fans while growing revenue Sharma, who replaced Phil Spencer as boss of Xbox earlier this year, has spent her first few months in the job making a number of significant changes at Microsoft as Microsoft works to win back the hearts and minds of its core gaming fans.
21:36Among them was the end of the controversial This is an Xbox Market campaign as well as a quick-fire new Xbox console features. The Verge reported on an internal memo sent to Xbox staff that discussed the recent efforts to rebrand Xbox, especially Xbox Now, all caps, and not in doing so said Microsoft would be more deliberate in what it's doing to gaming. quote we're building a stronger xbox that means uh making hard choices about what we build where we invest and what kind of company we need to be going forward that is part of what you are starting to see in the shift from xbox to xbox it reflects a decision to be deliberate in how we show up for the players who care most about this brand what's this mean exactly it seems unlikely that it signals a reversal in their next gen console push given the company talked about project helix as early as recently as earlier in may to me it sounds more like microsoft's thinking about making difficult decisions on video games it's building and the studios making them.
22:24Microsoft has a vast network of first-party developers, even before you factor in all the Bethesda and Activision Blizzard studios. Could those hard choices have to do with cancellations? Whatever the case, Sharma insisted the recent changes to Xbox Game Pass have moved the needle. Microsoft cut the price of the subscription after raising it last year and stripped out Call of Duty as a day-one launch title, instead adding in new Call of Duty games, such as this year's Modern Warfare 4, 12 months later. growth slowed down and subscriber loss accelerated after the pricing and sq and skew changes last year since our price reduction we have seen acquisitions grow and retention improve which is a good first step there was a few weeks ago i think it was me and mike that were talking and
23:06Blessing Adeoye Jr.:this was with the xbox leadership changes and the conversation of like layoffs and all these things came up right and i think me and mike were going a bit back and forth on it where i'm like layoffs are going to happen with all these changes and i think mike is wanting to be on the more optimistic side of like hey we got to think the best of what's happening we got to do but i'm i think if we're being real if we look at how they're operating if we look at what's happening and this is the case for any company that goes through any of these changes not just xbox any company that has changes like this when i read we're building a stronger xbox that means making hard choices about what we build where we invest and what kind of company we need to be going forward for me that is preceding what is going to be cancellations cuts layoffs yeah am i am i off about that at all oh no no no no i mean that's i mean it's again that's just reality that's not a hypothesis like we've seen it it's a spoiler it's a spoiler yeah like yeah that is what's going to happen um is what always happens with this stuff and you know it comes to all the words the redundancies the you know like what path forward are we going on and we're gonna optimize our workflows all of it right and there's truth to that stuff though in order to run a business but when it's this constant it's like at a certain point there's no more there's no more business to run there's no more business to run there's no more pieces on the board to play with right so uh the hard choices need to be things like taking a loss on hardware you know which is an impossible thing to to put out there because at the end of the day that's not the right answer that just means that they're going to lose a lot of money and then the higher-ups are going to
24:36Andrew Reiner:look at it and be like no fuck this xbox is just gone um but it all just comes down to when you look at this it's ai fucking over everything it's the rush to ai that is causing the problems the raising prices of all the hardware which means that when project helix comes out tell me y 'all right now this thing's going to be minimum a thousand dollars yeah likely way more than that prepare for upwards of 1300 maybe more than that like who knows if they're talking about it being the strongest system and all this shit like there's costs associated with that do you
25:14Blessing Adeoye Jr.:think there's any implication here of maybe doubling back on project helix and going actually we got to change what this is i mean maybe like that's the thing is like that's the the hard choices but yeah but we're talking about them talking about project helix in may they just did that it's me now it's this one yeah yeah you know so man it's it's uh everything's fucked yeah and to an extent it's their own doing like when you look at it it's like the reason that we're in the world the state of all this right now is the current administration and tax tariffs and all of that stuff and then this push to ai which is microsoft and amazon and google and apple it's these big tech corporations it's the big ones and guess what the majority of game developers at this point are underneath one of them so it's like yeah the repercussions are being seen there so hard choices can mean many things i don't think that she was implying layoffs and canceling
26:20Andrew Reiner:but that's happening that's going to happen I don't think
26:25Blessing Adeoye Jr.:these CEOs go out to say hey we're going to lay people off but I think they go out to say hey we're going to optimize and far down on the checklist of optimization comes hey we got to get rid of people because that's part of the checklist of how to optimize for us because we're not we're looking at this as how to save as much money as possible and account for how expensive things are getting and all that shit right that means we're going to make quote-unquote tough decisions and what it is is we're going to look at people as chess pieces and knock them over yeah uh sunday in the chat said just yesterday like steam looked at us and told us the steam deck's worth a thousand dollars like we got to prepare for this and it's like yeah that's the market though what steam gonna what steam's supposed to do when the cost of these things they either just don't sell this at all or they sell it for the people that do want it and there's a cost associated that fucking sucks but it's not steam's fault it's the fault of the ai push that all these other people are doing right like it fucking sucks and again that they're doing it to themselves because it means that their xbox is going to have to cost an insane amount of money and like i don't think people are going to be coming through for the xbox the way people are like willing to pay the upcharge for the steam thing when we're talking about incredibly different numbers and uh necessity by the way yeah again i think x and we all know this xbox has to change as far as what your offer is, what the hardware looks like, how you're creating affordability for the player.
27:46Blessing Adeoye Jr.:You know, I think affordability is very much the word of this generation that needs to be figured out by all parties involved. Whether it's Game Pass, whether it's the hardware, how are we getting these things into people's hands in ways that they can actually afford to make video games affordable for everybody, right? Like, I look at all this and go, ah, shit, nobody's gonna be able to afford to play video games. already people are being priced out of video games that's only going to happen worse and worse and worse as we go that's something that i think xbox playstation whoever it has gonna it's gonna have to look at and go if this continues we're gonna lose a sizable chunk of our audience and then have to make the choice of do we only speak to the richest people that could afford our stuff and make everything a billion dollars that we're selling because those things are still selling out yeah or do we have to figure out lower end options or lower cost options i should say yeah we'll see i mean we'll see but i i truly believe we're at a point that that's not an option because the price of lower costing it's yeah to a certain extent it's like y 'all can you can try to plug holes as many ways as you want the cost of ram is the cost of ram and why is the ram cost that much because a bunch of assholes but it does yeah it just does and you can't make a system
Read the full transcript
28:59Andrew Reiner:without ram yeah but then this so we start talking about cloud we start talking about not selling
29:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:systems. 100%. Yeah, and I'm somebody who I do not like I don't want to say I don't like playing games on cloud. I very much do not prefer to play games on cloud, right? And so when I see that as one of the main things that people are offering of like, oh yeah, come play cheap. You can get through cloud. I'm like, I don't really want to do that. But will that always be cheap? Because I imagine what stuff is needed to make cloud work. What make cloud go? Still hardware that is still expensive as shit. Yeah. Yeah, it's all going to be subscriptions. And then those prices are going to keep going up.
29:38It's the Netflix thing all over again, man.
29:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It's what Tim's talking about of plugging holes, right? Like, I think cloud is a way to plug a hole right now. But then over the course of years, yeah, that's going to go up in price as well. For sure. Isn't it great that Xbox and Microsoft own, like, a really big chunk of the industry? Isn't that really cool? I wonder. What if only three companies bought everything in the industry? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. then there was a government that would have actually regulated you know corporations just doing anything that they fucking wanted what if we looked at Microsoft Sony and Tencent and go you three buy it all and just control everything because then it'll be organized just buy everything why if we just consolidated everything what if Activision could hang out with Double Fine good lord um Yeah, there's not even going to be a good segue, everyone.

And we're back with some good news. Story number three, 007 First Slides already IO's fastest selling game ever.
32:23This comes from Andy Robinson at VGC. 007 First Slides off to a strong start commercially with developer IO Interactive claiming 1.5 million sales in just the first 24 hours. That means the James Bond title, which is out now for consoles and PC, is the fastest selling game in IO Interactive's history. According to Alinea Analytics estimates, at least a third of those 1.5 million came on PC via Steam, and a third have also played IO's other action games, Hitman. China is the number two Steam market for First Light so far, with 18 % of players, second only to the US's 29%. The milestone of 1.5 million in 24 hours reflects overwhelming global enthusiasm for 007 First Light and represents a significant achievement for IO Interactive, the game's developer said.
33:08Hell yeah. You'll love to see it. I was a little worried. I was concerned about this just because of the IP. And there's a lot going into this where even though we played it and we loved it, and I'm still playing through it, I have about two more hours, and I can't fucking wait to get home and beat this thing. But I was concerned for it, and I was wrong, and I'm very happy to be wrong.
33:31Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. I mean, I'm happy that IO was being rewarded for their hard work, right? Being rewarded for putting out a great game. It's crazy how, like, you can publish the worst game of 2025 and then one of the best games of 2026. You know, IO, they can do it all. I think about it in my mind. They can do everything. But, no, jokes aside, like, I think IO has hit the point of being just one of my favorite studios ever now. Like, I'm such a fan of, like, how they look at game design and approach game design and approach stealth and approach pathing and level design and all that. I think they are game design geniuses over there, like, legitimately.
34:05Blessing Adeoye Jr.:and to see that like elevated with what they're doing with bond and really leading into the big budget like oh we're gonna fucking explosions and actions and voice acting and story and all this stuff like it's really cool to see him nail it on this level i'm excited i'm i also need to go back and play more i was out of town i've been out of town twice in the last week uh but i was out of town the day before yesterday and so i wasn't able to go home and play and beat it yet um but i'm excited to like marinate in it though you know i'm like not in a rush to beat it either i want to
34:37Andrew Reiner:live in this game yeah man i the more i play the more i'm really really loving it like we're gonna do a a second review um next week i think at some point at some point we're doing it we're gonna do a gamescast getting even more people on i think it's the week after and maybe it's the week after uh and giving um our final scores uh on it but yeah i definitely my score is raising i don't know where that is yet i still need to finish it and and uh see it all to the end but um getting there was like a good chunk in the like middle section of the game that i was like damn yeah damn yeah and like this is this is going places i i didn't expect it to um so yeah huge congrats to them i i think that it's it's awesome to see it do this well critically and sales wise i hope it keeps up i really wonder what i wonder about a sequel you know i imagine we'll get another 007
35:25Blessing Adeoye Jr.:game from from io how long is it going to take that's the thing i missed to go man we're going to wait another what five years for a new 007 game two they're working on a fantasy game like a fantasy i think a fantasy game but like dragons and shit if i remember correctly from the reports i really wonder what that is like what's that gonna be um after playing this game and seeing like what they brought here um and then also like will we ever see more hitman will we ever is it gonna be a you know just add a level here or there over time here's the thing about that yeah we will get another hitman in the future i firmly believe it i think that they've gotten so good at being able to just make more hitman but will i have gray hairs by the time we get more hitman i i mean yeah probably i think they're coming sooner than you expect probably but i already got one uh but but i i think that there will be hitman because hitman is such a smaller scale in terms of like what needs to go into it production wise yeah um so i imagine that that'll be there but i also think that they that we've gotten so much hitman like oh world of assassination was incredible and it was a trilogy of projects over like a decade where it's like they did the thing oh yeah ps2 used to do of just like continually putting out um iterations so i i feel like this james bond stuff obviously is like the right path for them to go down right now um but we'll be back to hitman i just don't i don't think hitman will ever be there number one priority and at a certain point no should it be when we're talking about uh sales and critical reception that's and you know players enjoying it this much i i yeah i think i think it'll i think it can become their number one priority again i think people just need to miss hitman like i think you take enough time away from hitman people start clamoring for it again especially when you're able to go all right we've reached the end of what we're doing with this 007 license if there isn't um and we want to take our own ip and make that pop again like we want to turn hitman into something even bigger than it was and like put our whole foot in it like we want to make the greatest hitman experience ever which they kind of already just did but do it again you
37:33Andrew Reiner:know i think we can get there i think that's that just might be 10 years away i mean i also think that and this isn't necessarily for you but i do think that first light is going to be the best thing to ever happen to world of assassination like i bet that there was a bigger influx of hitman players than there's ever been since like the game's first released even more than more than when they put eminem in it i think so wow okay more than slim shader yeah yeah uh let's move on to story number four activision files a trademark for a crash bandicoot motion picture this comes from charles champion at insider gaming uh the the filing specifically references motion picture films and television series suggesting the publisher may be exploring opportunities in film television or animation interestingly this isn't the first time crash bandicoot's been linked to tv late last year rumors suggested that an animated crash bandicoot series was in production for netflix with reports claiming it was being developed by wild brain studios the team behind sonic prime however little information surfaced after the initial reports and the project seemingly disappeared from public discussion tim what does it what does this what for you i mean it not much i i don't think that this sees the light of day and if it does i don't think it's going to be like a quote-unquote real thing it will exist as content on a streaming service oh it won't be a show you get what i'm saying like there's like levels like on netflix or like youtube netflix okay i think beyond youtube but i just think i don't think that it's going to be like a it's not i think sonic prime is a show okay like that hits show level where you can compare Sonic Prime on Netflix to some of the other Sonic cartoons over the years and be like, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
39:15They really did something here. So if they did partner with Wild Brain Studios and go for it with Crash Bandicoot, perhaps. But I see this kind of more as just like one of those weird tie-ins that like doesn't, doesn't actually do anything. And I don't believe the movie. I just don't believe it. There was a Skylanders show, I think also on Netflix, and Crash Bandicoot was in it. And he spoke with an Australian accent. Yeah.
39:38Blessing Adeoye Jr.:does has crash bandicoot does crash bandicoot speak as well wow oh yeah i know that i've heard
39:45Andrew Reiner:that before but he doesn't say sentences well he does in australia in the in the show skylanders oh yeah skylanders okay it's not in the game no do the other characters talk in the game yeah does crunch talk who the fuck is crunch
40:07Blessing Adeoye Jr.:yeah is this something you would would you want this though like a like would you want a crash bandicoot show look i don't for me i don't think that there's any world where they're making the show for people like me i just don't see that happening like who else would they make it for for kids to be able to go buy the Crash games, which sell incredibly well. Okay, you know what? You're not wrong about that. You're right. You're not wrong about that. I do think we'll get another Crash game at some point. I mean, what the fuck is Toys for Bobble 2? Hopefully Banjo-Kazooie. What are they up to? I need to know.
40:41I want Banjo. Story number five, Bellatro Publisher Playstacks being sold to GameSpot and Fandom Parent Company. This comes from Chris Kerr at Game Developer. I think it's very funny that that's the headline. like getting GameSpot fandom involved at all. But I understand that being kind of in the meat and potatoes of the whole thing. But like that means nobody knows what integrated media. True, true. Blotro and Abiotic Factor publisher PlayStack could soon be under the majority ownership of IMC, integrated media company, an investment group that also owns entertainment brands such as Fandom, Screen Junkies, Fanatical and GameSpot.
41:16PlayStack owner Truefin announced the proposed sale on May 21st. The company told investors it's agreed to sell its 84.5 % stake in the UK publisher to Vantage Co. for around$151 million. Vantage Co. is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of IAMC. The deal values PlayStack at around$169 million in total and is subject to shareholder approval. The Trufin board is recommending shareholders vote in favor of the sale. quote we believe the disposal of play stack represents a milestone for true fin and a clear demonstration of our disciplined approach to capital allocation and value creation oh man we've thoroughly enjoyed working with the play stack team over the years the last few years and look forward to them achieving future successes we're also going to make a lot of money and we don't really care what happens to them i didn't whoa that's kind of crazy he said that uh imc is a superb platform for the next stage of play stacks journey and we wish them the team at imc well for the future uh business speak is so funny to me it fucking is i understand
42:13Blessing Adeoye Jr.:this is how they talk but like even the word like we got to find a better business term for disposal we believe the disposal of play stack i understand hey no you're offloading them whatever even offload sounds like it's lacks a humanity to it but the disposal of play stack represents a milestone for us if like imagine like i don't know man we kick kevin out of here and we're like the disposal yeah it represents a milestone for kind of funny it's like jesus christ heaven's
42:42Andrew Reiner:worth more than 169 million though um but i yeah business speak whatever i listen tencent what if
42:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:we just all what if we what if what if imc then sold to ten we can all just get all this shit under one umbrella um the big thing here for me is it's a publisher and it sucks when it's the developers i think it's extra bad when it's these very successful indie publishers like when you look at play stack like obviously bellatro but we're also talking about unbeatable and we're talking about um other games that were uh like what else did place that do did they do the golden idol oh did they i think they did i'm gonna look them up that sounds right like they
43:26Andrew Reiner:they're they did unbeatable they did do golden idol yeah golden idol i mean yeah they're they are a hit indie pub like a publisher should be able to identify indie hits they did rat coin right yeah so it's like they got the stuff and uh getting acquired it's like all right well that just means things are going to get muddied up like the nicest read of all of this is uh imc potentially buying them because they understand that and they see that um which we have seen before but that's been a much rarer case i would say recently this reminds me a lot of when ziff davis bought humble bundle and humble publishing publishing but you know what happened to humble bundle and humble publishing i don't know why i can't talk today humble bubble humble it is it's a lot yeah but you know what happened what happened i might be a little off about this but like correct me where i'm wrong here chad is this the thing that happened in the last like five years yeah oh yeah public publishing doesn't exist anymore correct and humble bundle does so they just bought them for the thing they wanted and not the other thing so does this just mean and we got balatro now bitches we got balatro you know bye bye golden idol bye bye the rest of you and i think that that's being very reductive but i do think that uh it's painting a picture of how i feel
44:45Blessing Adeoye Jr.:this is gonna go yeah i i think i'm i wanted to also hold space for the positive read the kind of the same similar to the thing you have of like hey play stack they're valued at like 169 million right and they're that they're at that place now they weren't before right like over the years play stack has been able to build a reputation and a value for themselves because they've been putting in the work and publishing great games and doing all this stuff and they're at a place where i know i know i get i like i make fun of we believe the disposal play stack represents a milestone own but maybe it is like maybe it is a thing of like hey as true fin or whatever we've been able to have like have this company grow under us and our goal was to sell this at a higher value than it was before and we did that yeah i think that's a good thing it's just a matter of are the new parents going to treat them well are the new parents going to treat them responsibly and like shepherd them response responsibly you would help but it's always a scary thing when it is i mean because especially when we're talking about like these indie publishers that end up hitting a level of success like there aren't that many that we can off the top name right like we have devolver we have thunderful we have annapurna yeah right play date that's not play date what's it called play stack oh okay um and so it's like yeah like the idea of losing those isn't good and like shaking things up when those they're somehow in this hellscape of a world making things work um so yeah fingers crossed this works out fingers crossed i don't necessarily think this is the death keel of this but i'd prefer this didn't happen because i'm not this doesn't make
46:25Andrew Reiner:me go think like oh things are gonna be better we read these stories all the time like this exact
46:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:story all the time right with just different names subbed in i will say this isn't the worst version of the story that we've read on this show like this is the one that this is like probably somewhere in the mid tier of like okay we'll we'll see i guess you know sometimes it's like oh that makes sense sometimes it's like oh no they sold to them this is one of those ones where i'm like all right i guess we'll we'll see we'll find out yeah be safe we will be safe
46:57uh story number six fifa announces new digital football vision oh okay i should have read more before i started laughing yeah that's a new digital football vision an ecosystem of games for multiple publishers and developers this comes from john hicks uh games industry.biz i thought it was football football vision i like it infinity vision like a vr game uh football governing body fifa has announced a new gaming strategy called digital football formalizing its shift to working with multiple developers and publishers following the breakdown of its long-running partnership with EA in 2022. As part of the announcement, the organization named the new FIFA title from new publisher and developer Delphi Interactive as FIFA World Cup Launch Edition.
47:40It described it as an all-new FIFA World Cup simulation, letting you write your own World Cup story, and said it would arrive on Netflix in the summer. The announcement presents a unified brand for a series of partnership deals that FIFA has signed across the games industry since the termination of its EA deal. These form part of a digital football ecosystem. which includes the upcoming netflix title developed by delphi interactive free-to-play mobile arcade title fifa heroes developed by ember studio this year the fifa rivals the fifa rivals mobile game launched in 2025 and developed by startup mythical game nasty uh partnering with game fam's roblox title super league soccer which is rebranded as fifa super soccer it's horrendous adding official fifa events to sports interactive's football manager oh sure okay i'm not mad at that one uh partnering with konami z football for the official e-sports tournaments oh jesus that's bad
48:33Blessing Adeoye Jr.:that reeks yeah fucking konami games fifa e-sports oh no fifa e e-sports that shit sucks uh partnering with epics rocket league for fifa e okay okay all right so on one two three four five six seven we had seven and uh only two of them were like okay two of them are okay the rest of them uh fifa said ecosystem was considered with each game fitting into one of four categories football action simulation football action non-simulation non-action simulation and not action non-simulation
49:08Blessing Adeoye Jr.:what if we took the fifa license away from ea and did the worst possible with it what if we just didn't know what to do with this license and we just gave it to all of the worst people to work with it and and acted like we knew what we were talking about as far as oh yeah we'll have it categories we'll have action sim non-action sim non-action non
49:29Andrew Reiner:what the so it's just there non-action non-sim is the fucking funniest one dude messi and cristiano ronaldo just standing around oh my god dude wow i don't like any of this sim yeah i mean real talk is there any any actual thing you have to say about this um no my actual
49:48Blessing Adeoye Jr.:thing to say about this is man i don't fifa very clearly doesn't know what they're doing with the gaming license uh for it and i think all of this is horrendous that's my real take i think all of this is bad except for maybe the fifa um which would call it um league simulation game um i can't think it's the one that people bid on every football manager the football manager thing I think makes sense. Big year for Delphi, by the way. For reals. Delphi. They were on 007. They let you know that because you have to fucking watch that screen every time you start the game up for no less than 20 seconds.
50:26Yeah.
50:26Andrew Reiner:Why is the first light opening so long? I don't have epilepsy. Delphi's in their 007. They're also the villains in Pragmata. Remember that? They're the villains in Pragmata. And now they're working with FIFA. look good on you delphi good on you delphi man big year for delphi i'll tell you what but if i want to know about something much smaller bless where would i look you go to our last news story the we news channel we cover all the small news items you need to know about
50:58welcome to the we news channel this comes from stealth via sega 16 oh bless yeah it's for me and you yeah former sega executive mike fisher didn't hold back in his feelings toward you Yuji Naka in a new interview. Quote, he's literally the most miserable person I've ever worked with in games or anything else in my life. Just a horrible human being. And you can quote me on that. As you know, he's also now a convicted felon. He also believes he received too much credit for the creation of Sonic the Hedgehog. I, I'm going to call this one required reading. Specifically for you. I need to check this out.
51:31But for everybody, the entire interview, this is just the tip of the iceberg. This man goes in on Yuji Naka, exposing him in ways that are just vile. Really? The way he goes into detail about this man's fascination with eggs. Eggs? I'm paraphrasing here. Do you remember the game Billy Hatcher and the giant egg? Yeah. They were originally just going to call it Billy Hatcher. But Yuji Naka was so obsessed with the egg part that he's like, we got to get it in there. like it has to be he just wanted to talk about the fucking egg and then when they're like why billy hatcher he was just like well if the egg's giant what's another word for like this little like chicken thing he was essentially trying to push a localization calling it giant cock oh my god y 'all need to read this shit shit's insane witcher 3's new dlc will be at gamescom cool uh The Witcher tweets out, wins Howling and is taking us to Gamescom in Cologne.
52:35Come join us in the entertainment area. We'll be showing Song of the Past. See you on the path. From Game Developer, developers at Rockstar Games have announced the Rockstar Games Workers Union, RGWU, a subsidiary of the Independent Workers Union of Great Britain. Hell yes. Go get them. Roughly 300 strong, I believe, for that union, by the way.
52:56Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Hell yeah. For people who are like, ah, it's too small to, you know, be a wrench in the plans of Rockstar. Don't doubt him. Don't doubt him. Hollow Knight and Hollow Knight Silksong physical editions are up for pre-order at Fangamer and they're fucking gorgeous. I want them so bad. Bless. You gonna get him? Oh yeah. Mike Fisher in the interview about Yuji Naka says Yeah, I was all for it. I was there for the birth of Sonic the Hedgehog and when the memo came out, they said to every employee, we want to come up with the new Mario Killer mascot character. We want everyone to come up with an idea.
53:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I watched them pick the winners. I watched Yuji Naka steal credit for it. And yeah, I was very hands-on. Wow. Yuji Naka. Listen, convicted felon, what can I say? Convicted felon. Convicted felon. What are you going to say? What am I going to say? You know what I mean?
53:45Andrew Reiner:Like, he hasn't proven himself to be trustworthy. Damn, Yuji Naka. From IGN Warhammer 40k. Yeah, thank you for bringing this up. Look at this map. Oh, this map looks beautiful. Oh, my God. And this box art looks gorgeous. It's just so good. the switch to box art fucking sucks i know people are asking where's the article it's on sega-16.com
54:05Blessing Adeoye Jr.:um stealth 40k tweeted about it so if you're that's another way to find it if you're looking for it but they do have a reversible cover thankfully oh man that reversible cover of fire yeah for my gn warhammer 40k space marine 2 publisher focus entertainment's teased new content coming to the game in its third year including the promise of a new class in 2027 out of words Out of Worlds? Out of Worlds? Out of Worlds? Has been delayed to early 2027. Not a cold you. That was coming out in 2026. I didn't believe it was ever. Wait, did I? Who has this on fantasy?
54:38Andrew Reiner:Oh, no, Tim. Who has this on fantasy? Is it you? Fuck! I never believed this is coming again. You don't have it. You don't have it. I think maybe Andy has it. Andy has it. Yeah. Well, now he just gets to drop it, right? Because it got delayed. Yeah, I mean, if he still has drops, yeah. Temple Maker 64 is announced for PC There's a demo available It's a third person dungeon crawler Build dungeons full of traps and puzzles Or grab your sword and explore community made dungeons Choose from a vast selection of items, monsters, puzzles And bosses all wrapped up in an N64 inspired love letter
55:10Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Can you rewind to the start of it so Tim can see Crazy
55:16Andrew Reiner:This is fucking cool Really cool But also I'd be a little bit scared of A certain company coming after Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But really cool, though. Very cool. And also even putting the 64 in there. They are flirting with disaster here. Yeah. Absolute disaster. But I fuck with that respect. God damn, that's just that other game. That's just that other game. Let's not say it. I'm not going to say it. No, no. But it looks like another game. The Witch's Bakery launches this August on Xbox, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Escape the Backrooms is now available on Xbox Series, Game Pass, and PS5.
55:51And the movie's out in theaters now. that's it for weed news let's see what we got wrong wait what are we looking at bear oh these sales this console sales uh the last reported update for xbox series x and s you know what uh was 28.3 million but i think i don't know how recent this number is i want to say this is from 2024 yeah i during the commercial break i was talking to him
56:18Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I was like, you're definitely more right about the PlayStation 5 sales versus Xbox Series sales. I think I was still in Xbox One mode as far as like what the gap between the two are. But in whatever these last reported things are, yeah, like, wait, what is that again, Bear for PS5? Is that 90? 93.7 million. But I think this is a more recent number. I think this is actually reported from 2026. Whereas I think this 28.3 million report is from 2024. I don't think they've given any public reporting since then. but from the things we've been hearing uh from the last couple years it hasn't been great so i would imagine maybe it's hitting that like 32 around like the n64 like there was a report that xbox i think it was this year it was suffering 33 percent decline in hardware sales and so like i'm i guess i'm taking back the one and two like or the two to one ratio but like i would still maybe put it around like the four to one five to one range only because i think xbox for the casual gamer and i think it's the casual gamer that doesn't have the current consoles currently i think enough of them still look at xbox is like oh well i grew up in an xbox i'm just gonna buy oh man i think you're so wrong about that really yeah that was two generations ago yeah any of those people got burned during the xbox one generation yep and i'm talking in absolutes here obviously there are people out there yeah and like me saying 10 to 1 the most casual like i think the most casual is going playstation playstation has earned the market dominance of like when you think video game you think playstation sure i mainstream normies like i think there's an older category of gamer like gamers that are at least like let's say in the at least 30 years old that just grew up on xbox that would just go oh yeah i had this before or oh i can get this new thing the new xbox or no the new xbox but like i can get an xbox for
58:10Andrew Reiner:300 and play gta 6 for 300 i can get i'm just gonna get this yeah again if we're bringing in if they do a crazy price slash well i'm talking about the series s yeah i mean we'll see i stand by what i'm saying sure like i think the playstation dominance like the reason to want to invest in playstation going forward like if you're buying the new system it's not just for gta for some people it might be i think for a lot of people i think for a lot of people is i'm buying this for gta 2k and call of duty but yeah but i also think that i think those are the people that will buy xbox and i think there's a lot of those people but i think that they're that it's also you're right but i i do think that the majority of the people that are buying it now alongside gta i don't think it's just for gta i think this is just they've been waiting for this as their entry point to this generation something to also consider as well like we this 93.7 million figure you also have to take into consideration of like how much of that last generation has already moved forward when you look at the percentage of 93.7 million for ps5 and ps4 at total being 117 like only only 20 million below that right so i do think there is already kind of a transition period that has happened for a majority of people even the casuals from last gen to this generation i think there's so many people that haven't done it yet i mean just anecdotally i know there's so many people that i know that haven't made the jump and a lot of it's because they're like the games are also on last gen why like why would i care yeah and so it's like yeah gta is going to be a giant thing the thing is the prices of these systems is insane so it's like we are talking about a ps5 or a pro even at like 800 fucking
59:59Blessing Adeoye Jr.:plus yeah how much is the base ps5 and how much is an xbox series s i don't know because like i'm for my own anecdotal stuff like i find it way easier to recommend as xbox series s to anybody who i know there's like again on the most casual gamer side and i think that makes up a large amount of people who would be in the market to be like oh i want to buy a thing i don't know i mean like for me it's like i bought my nephews an xbox because the series s is the cheapest thing yeah but it's like you also are informed enough to understand game pass and to understand how to make that value actually valuable sure you know like there's so many levels we always talk about like the are we just making up a customer that doesn't actually exist of like the grandparent going in not knowing the difference of what system to buy when they're talking about their kid like yeah it just doesn't happen now but like but if it does it doesn't represent a uh a large enough amount of people for it to move any type of needle when we talk about these casual gamers it's like i think there's a big difference between people that might buy a system just because they're kind of interested in playing a game once and people that are like i'm i'm buying a system so i can play games you know invest in video games in any type of way in their life and i think those are
1:01:10Andrew Reiner:just different markets but i do think i do think plenty of the person exists that goes hey i'm
1:01:15Blessing Adeoye Jr.:gonna buy a console so i can play gta and then i can also play madden and call of duty and all these other things right like i think that level of gamer makes up a large amount right like nowadays you're talking about fortnite and all these things and i think i think that game that gamer is playing with their friends and where are their friends playing that's a good call you know like that's that is like if we're talking about that group we have to talk about like all of their motivations yeah you know um and i do think at a certain point it's like all right well the difference is i pay 300 here or 700 there it's like well then i'm just not gonna buy it oh i don't know about that we'll see i don't know if i'm like of course we're blessed with our jobs like i get to get codes and like greg gives me a playstation 5 pro every now and then if i'm somebody who's in who does not have a console and i'm looking at my wallet and i'm like all right come this christmas all gta 6 is coming out i want to buy something if i'm looking at an xbox series s for 300 or 400 or a playstation 5 for 800 i'm getting the xbox and like i and i know that's not most of us but like i think i think that has to make up a large amount of people i think it makes up an amount of people yeah well like i don't know but i don't know if that like i guess i don't even know what my argument is anymore i'm just saying that person exists the person does exist they absolutely do and we will see it there's gonna be a bump in hardware across the board but this year undeniably but it's it's we'll see what the ratio ends up being or we won't because it'll be like such a disastrous land side win that would that people don't even update their numbers sure sure um let's see there's a bunch of your wrongs here that like i'm just gonna be honest i don't believe them you know um
1:03:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:people just saying crunch talks
1:03:09yeah crunch talks everybody
1:03:14want to do one last super chat to end the day here let it go nando says tim did you see the new x-men 97 season 2 trailer yes i did blessed you um i skimmed through it i'm not a big trailer person like that i i saw it and i like swim through it i was like okay
1:03:34Blessing Adeoye Jr.:cool i'm gonna watch this i don't like spoiling myself on tv shows okay that's fair yeah i just wanted to see the two minutes like yeah but still i was like that's fair that's totally fair that's totally fair i fucking loved it i've watched it like 10 times the music in it is so good the hype scenes in it i'm like this is about to be incredible i'm a little concerned about the story they're presenting it seems not my favorite type of thing with the time traveling different eras and like apocalypse is a bad guy i just don't really like that shit i like and i know that this is not a popular take i like the more grounded x-men stories more than the fucking crazy cosmic make oh i agree with that um but that's when x-men is at its best according to most fans so i'm not gonna get in the way of it i had season one and that is one of my favorite things ever like i x-men 97 the more i reflect on xbox x-men 97 season one it's like i do think it's my favorite marvel studios project period really i think it's so damn good and i've re-watched the whole season like three times now and i'm just like holy shit it is phenomenal it's amazing yeah um and they renewed for seasons three and four which is very exciting they're trying to get them out annually now um a lot of drama behind the scenes that i am concerned about like yeah um so we'll see how that all shakes out but very excited for season two you start spider noir yet i didn't
1:04:51Andrew Reiner:start it yet really good things what do you think really good so far are you doing the black and white or the true color black and white okay yeah that feels it feels like the right way to do yeah i'm excited though uh let us know in the comments below if you were excited for x-men 97 season two or for Spider Noir. I wish they put it out weekly. I would be keeping up if it was weekly. It'd be a drop.
1:05:10Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'm like, all right, I'll get to it when I get to it. And honestly, like after watching the first episode, I'm like, this doesn't feel like something I want to binge, but it'd be something I'd want to watch weekly. It's tough stuff, everyone. We are about to do our PlayStation State of Play predictions episode of the Gamescast. So stay tuned for that. Until next time, Game Daily.
