2:19Andy Cortez:What's up everybody. Welcome to kind of funny games daily for Tuesday, January 20th, 2026. I'm one of your hosts Greg Miller alongside Forbes 30 under 30 aka New York Game Awards nominated aka leftover poppy blessing Adioye Junior.
2:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'm all for security when it comes to the internet. Where are we going everybody? But why must this thing sign me out every five minutes? You know what I mean? Like I'll be in the middle. I'll be about to start. It's always when I'm about to start KFG for some reason. Yeah. Where it's like Google gives you the old boot. yeah google's like oh do you want to sign back in and i'm like well now i got to do this thing
3:00Andy Cortez:and now i was in the middle of running through all the feutie responses and tabulating it when everything's like logged me out i was like you son of a bitch god dang it i wasn't heaven
3:07Blessing Adeoye Jr.:i know it makes us less safe but how do we make it so that it never logs me out at some point chipping you at some point i know that means that you know a robber will walk in and see my computer and be like oh let me get into his emails and scam everybody yeah you know email paris and tell him to open up a pdf and it's not a pdf and it's something weird it's
3:23Andy Cortez:gonna fucking destroy some you know paris would do it too but like i feel like you know when you
3:27Blessing Adeoye Jr.:balance it out i think it's worth it for me the other day playstation did something like out of
3:32Andy Cortez:the blue that was like i don't know what it is if it's a passcode it's an authenticator or whatever then they made me do and i now i just have no idea like one day i'm gonna have to do it again
3:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:i'm like i'm just never in my playstation to get a pair i don't know i on my um i don't know what you would call it my me weaning off of twitter yeah you know what i mean one of the things that has really helped seal it in is that now for Twitter DMs, they're like, oh, put in a passcode. And I'm like, I'm not giving you... No, I'm already trying to not use this. And so now I'm just not going to use it for DMs. So if you DM me on Twitter, I'm probably not going to see it.
4:02Andy Cortez:Yeah.
4:02Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'm sorry.
4:03Andy Cortez:It's fair enough. Sorry, Hideo. He's my... He's been telling me. He's been telling me. He's on BS. That's Blue Sky. Tim, tell me he's trying to DM you on Twitter. It's a whole thing. DM me on Blue Sky. He doesn't like it. He doesn't like it because you can't authenticate with a phone
4:17Blessing Adeoye Jr.:number. how are you blessed i'm doing good i'm doing a lot better than i was during the weekend you
4:23Andy Cortez:were sick you were sick i don't think we talked much about it yeah i was sick i've talked about
4:27Blessing Adeoye Jr.:it i was on the show yesterday i think i sounded even more sick than i do now i still you can still hear it in me yeah but i'm feeling a lot better i'm feeling 100 aside from the voicey the voice and like a little bit of mucus in there but we're getting it sure sure yeah how are you doing how you feeling good i'm ready to rock how come i'm the only person that caught tim's sickness we didn't talk about the fact that I definitely caught him.
4:45Andy Cortez:Well, yeah, definitely blamed him. You are not. As many people know, a young gentleman came to join us on our big stream and it was Fran Mirabella III. Remember this? Yes. And Fran has been sick since. No. And he's been like deathly ill. He's like, hey, let's get sick and Tim was like, I was like, when Tim was down he's like, oh yeah, I'm down right now. He's like, oh me too. And then Fran wrote in yesterday. I was like, you know, live in the, so I was looking down at my thing and there was this message from Fran and Tim being like, oh my God, I'm so sorry. I was like, what the fuck happened to Fran?
5:20Andy Cortez:And he's like, he's like super sick sinus infection all the way down. Me and Tim got the shots.
5:25Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Fran, not into vaccines.
5:27Andy Cortez:I heard that's on him.
5:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:That's on him.
5:31Andy Cortez:What a way to swing on Fran. It couldn't possibly be that Fran streams from his room all by himself all the time. He's not used to being around another human being. I heard it. Yeah, I just heard you went anti-vax. That's Fran. Yeah, that's Fran, you know. Hate to see it. You know what I mean? Vaccines are real, everybody. So it's the gaming news. And we have so much to talk about. We'll run you all through it because this has got a bunch of games daily. I remember if you're watching live, be part of the show. YouTube.com slash kind of funny games. You can super chat to be part of the show as we go with your thoughts, your opinions, your abilities.
6:03Andy Cortez:Your abilities? Life is strange. If you have superhuman abilities, I need to know about them. You know what I mean? That's what I really need. Because you've got to recruit them. I'm putting together a team. we got a lot to talk about when we get to life is strange don't we we have a lot to talk about there of course there's plenty to talk about when it comes to fable as well etc etc uh thank you of course to our patreon producers on patreon.com slash kind of funny carl jacobs and megabuster and delaney the som twining we couldn't do this without your support for now let's begin with what is and forever will be the roper report time for some news Six items on the Roper Report.
6:41Oh, Baker's Dozer!
6:45Andy Cortez:Our first Super Chat comes from HighlandersGrim0351, who says, have a wonderful week, everybody. It's Tuesday. Oh, thank you so much. Start it on time.
6:53Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah, I'd be able to see that Super Chat, if only I didn't have to re-log in. I'm just saying, what's a scary email a few times a year that you just don't open, you know? yeah so i email you and i'm like hey i need help open up this file you just don't open it yeah just don't that seems out of the ordinary right plus i get alerted every time there's a phishing email sent and like there are two people who get them a lot am i one of them yeah you both are them oh
7:21Andy Cortez:really me too yeah oh i never i don't never i never see them good my favorite one was just a couple days ago andy got one and andy reported it which then similar opinion kevin pings me as well I'm like, hey, so then I forwarded it to Andy and I said, don't click on this. And he goes, no, I know. That's why I reported it. And then I said, do not click on it. And then Andy got annoyed with me. And then he sent me the AI overview of the conversation we had. They put it as often. It goes, Greg forwarded a high severity alert about a user reported phishing from kind of funny at nifty.com. New bullet point.
7:56Andy Cortez:Andy confirmed they were aware of the phishing because they were the user who reported it. Bullet point. Greg instructed Andy to stop clicking the reported message. How often do you get reported about things that we're doing in our emails? Oh, a lot. Well, I mean, I check into your emails, too. Oh, you check into our emails. That's part of the deal. Wait, you can do that? That's part of the deal. What's the craziest thing you've seen in my email? You know, I don't want to get into it. Oh, no. I don't want to get into it. Instead, we'll get into story number one. Fable reboot concept art points to a large open world.
8:23Andy Cortez:This is Tom Phillips at IGN.com. concept art for microsoft's upcoming fable reboot has been shared online showing what looks to be a large open world the images originally highlighted by mp first are reportedly originate from an unnamed artist who previously worked on the project at british development studio playground games man i'm gonna get every word wrong apparently today more than two dozen images show brooding fantasy landscapes that stretch off into the horizon dilapidated thatched cottages in pastoral scenes in familiar-looking towns with spired roofs. Several images also make reference to Bloodstone, suggesting we'll see locations from past Fable Games' return.
9:05Andy Cortez:Overall, the images offer a slightly darker color palette than seen in Lionhead's original Fable trilogy, with moody skies and a rugged world that's reminiscent of Hogwarts Legacy. How big is Fable's new world? That remains to be seen, though perhaps it featuring large open spaces shouldn't be too surprising, since it is being built on the same open world engine that powers forza horizon albeit likely with fewer cars another set of art showcases a dank dungeon-like area where water pours down through sewer-like tunnels and as cages hang above one particular image sees the hero confront a werewolf-like creature as bodies hang in chains nearby yeah that's cool while concept art naturally shows a work-in-progress look at a project this werewolf encounter has popped up in a previous trailer the hero figure used throughout the concept art also matches the character scene in trailers released over the last couple of years the suggestion then is this vision of the game likely isn't too far off from the finished article though of course we'll be seeing much more of it later this week to find out for ourselves of course IGN is hinting the xbox developer underscore direct happening thursday 10 a.m that is two days from right now we will be doing gamescast as a live reaction to it paris will be here gary will be here we will all be chilling and watching it then we'll do a gamescast post show then we'll do games daily as usual blessing correct where do you want to start i mean i have this is one of those like almost non-stories but then also yeah there's a story here but then also just fable let's just talk about yeah i think this is just an excuse to
10:37Blessing Adeoye Jr.:talk about fable since we're gonna see more fable this week uh and fable seemingly gonna be a big game to talk about this year that's what xbox says yeah but that's what they're gonna say
10:48Andy Cortez:Dex is they're focusing on games coming this year.
10:50Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh, okay. Oh, so, okay. They have said it. You're a Fable person. I haven't played it. Okay. Tell me the tales of Fable. What's the vibe? Does this fit the vibe? This fits the vibe 100%.
11:02Andy Cortez:Do you want to know how desperate for Fable I am right now? Yes. I started Fable anniversary last night. No, you did not. I did. I went and downloaded it because I've been, I'm so ready. Again, the problem is, since we've come back, a little Navi-like fairy. You know what I mean? Navi from Link, not Navi, the blue people, right? No, I would never think that. Just making sure. Just making sure. Named Snowbike Mike has been whispering in my ear. He's been putting the nectar in my ear that Fable's going to be good. And I've refused to let myself believe. You don't think Fable's going to be good? I don't want to have high expectations for Fable because I want Fable to fucking be amazing.
11:38Andy Cortez:So, like, I keep, it's like, it's back to being a Chicago Bears fan. they're going to fucking shit. They're going to shit the bed. So I don't have to worry about it. What's good to you?
11:44Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Like an eight out of 10? I mean, or do you, are you like, I need this to be a 10 out of 10?
11:49Andy Cortez:I don't need any game. I mean, I want every game to be a 10 out of 10. Yeah. For fable. Like I just feel I was having this. This is an interesting topic conversation. Fuck the show. It's over. I thought the laptop. I feel like we are at a point right now in 2026 with video game IP that when you're trying to do anything with a storied beloved IP, you're just going to fail. and I don't think it's hard and fast, but I think of something like Dragon Age, Veil Guard. I think of these, you know, whatever's happening with Halo all the time. Are they filled with Veil Guard? And I enjoyed, well, again, now you're into a very multifaceted conversation.
Read the full transcript
12:24Andy Cortez:Yeah. I loved Veil Guard. Guess what? I'm not a, I was never a Dragon Age fan. So the people who love Dragon Age were like, this fucking sucks. And then it's EACs. It's a huge loss. The idea. Mass Effect, right? Andromeda was not what the Mass Effect trilogy was. There's these things of trying to chase past glories that come with so much baggage. And so I'm lost right now. And you can help me out here with your super chats. I'm reopening this right. Of what is the temperature on fable? Fable is a beloved Xbox franchise period. But do we have people actually played fable? Like, are you a fable person or is it just, you know, everybody loves fable and now we all love RPGs and we, you know what I mean?
13:04Andy Cortez:The quaint things they were doing in this of making a storybook like RPG and horns coming out of your head. Like everybody does that kind of shit now. right so it's like what are your expectations for this what are the eyes to I want this to be greater than any of us could have thought it was going to be because right now yeah I'm thinking it's playground a great developer however it's playground who usually does the car game coming in now and trying to take over this game that lionhead used to do and Peter Molyneux and there's a bunch of baggage locked up into that as well like I just feel like right now you look at it you go yeah this is probably going to be an eight but what if it can come out and be a fucking nine what if we could see it on thursday like holy shit i was gonna say i'm of two thoughts i'm on
13:42Blessing Adeoye Jr.:three thoughts when you get into that conversation but just to start with the two thoughts i think two things can be true i think people can make fable into something bigger than maybe it was as far as the hype as far as the anticipation for it because we're all children of the internet and we're all people who engage in the video game discourse and like for me as somebody who i've not played a fable i don't have a history with fable there's still a level of anticipation i have for the next fable because i know how people talk about fable people treat it like like it is this legendary fable right like there's this game that i know is coming out that a lot of people are looking forward to therefore i look forward to it right we have that bandwagon mindset of it so i think you're right in the sense of like you know is this game coming out as big as we're making it out out to be all that stuff right but i also think that to my second thought fable seems like a game that you can bring back and make into that thing right like it is a western rpg it is a game like my my the thing that i know about fable is that it's whimsical you say yeah it's whimsical and
14:43Andy Cortez:then also has a morality system yep to toss it in onimus prime super chats fable is humor and fantasy choices balvarines marriage buying property and i think people underestimate how poised this is to be xbox's best game one of my favorite all of those things age well yeah all of those things still work in 2026 and i think i i think a western rpg out of any out of all the
15:05Blessing Adeoye Jr.:genres out of all the types of games you can bring back all the things i know about fable i'm like that that sounds like a game that can be like great in 2026 then i get to my third thought okay when you talk about the review scores to it when you talk and then you can even throw out the review scores when you talk about how is this game actually going to be i'm gonna put my hater cap on okay i think when i think of my last few years of xbox games that i've looked forward to that i've wanted to love that i've wanted to come out and be a nine out of ten ten out of ten the only ones that have lived up have been forza horizon outside of that i've stopped expecting a nine out of ten from xbox games i expect eight out of tens i expect great games i expect good games i also expect disappointments here and there but i don't know if hoping fable ends up coming out as a 10 out of 10 is a wise thing to set yourself up with i think well that's my i don't
15:56Andy Cortez:expect that i want that okay does that make sense like you know what i mean that makes sense but i think to sit here and read tea leaves and look into what fable is and what western rpgs are right now i think there is fertile ground for them to capitalize on that and catch people off guard i think when you watch the trailers we have seen in the deep dive and the giant who's in the who's the comedian he's from the show i don't watch but it crowd right it wasn't that the guy there's a there's a british giant right that we saw her running around and fighting or whatever or maybe it doesn't matter the level of humor they're putting in there like when you talk about the fantasy rpgs that are out there what do you think of right you think of witcher yeah right i'm gonna toss it out there you think of i would say games that are darker that are more real that you know I mean, I think Fable leaning into that humor and not being a slapstick comedy game, but being a whimsical, hey, it is Jack and the Beanstalk come to life.
16:53Andy Cortez:And you're what we're playing with the tropes and you're doing the thing. And there's all like there's a lot in there that I think, hey, the gameplay loop in mechanics you like from other games are here in a setting that is also enjoyable. enjoyable that is as enjoyable not that dark fantasy can't be but i mean like as smile inducing as the gameplay itself and i feel like if you walk that line right which is a line i think that veil guard went into at some points but like that alienated the hardcore dragon age fan if you can get that right here i think you go above and beyond what we're seeing other people
17:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:in the genre do yeah and i 100 agree with that i i think that's one of those things where tone not that it's like i'm tired of witcher and tired of that like it's not even that it is that i think you have an opportunity with fable to really stick out because of what you're talking about with i'll just say jokes but i mean i guess tone yeah level of writing all that stuff i think helps separate it and to bring it back around right like i think i try to keep my expectations low that way they have the opportunity to surprise me and blow me away and i think the big thing that i am kind of excited for is that it is playground games yeah the same studio that makes the game that i'm like oh yeah forza horizon comes consistently comes out as a nine or ten out
18:09Andy Cortez:of ten ass game yeah uh rabbit of cancer bog super chats and says never played the og fable games but i'm excited because it's playground games and we'll have british humor which i vibe with which i think is you know i also like british humor yeah the office really did things for us you know what i mean it really brought it over here that shot of the dead the import for me i
18:27Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'd say it's rareware. I'm playing the rare games back in the day. They always like put in them jokes. That doesn't count.
18:31Andy Cortez:No, it was Shaun of the Dead. It was Shaun of the Dead in the office.
18:34Blessing Adeoye Jr.:You know, in Jet Force Gemini, there's a level called Tophrit and it's like a nasty level, like zombies, all this shit. And it's an anagram. If you mix up the letters, it says wet fart. That's British humor for you. That's pretty funny. British humor. I like that a lot.
18:47Andy Cortez:Captain Coot says, I just replayed Fable Anniversary last week and started Fable 2 yesterday. And man, the advancements between the two games is amazing. I'm excited for Fable this year Only special feature says Fable is the first RPG I beat and the memories playing are always with me I played Fable 3 on my 21st birthday instead of drinking that's how much I love this game please be good Fable 4 and right there something to piggyback at the end I think also speaks to why I'm so cautious about it it's not called Fable 4 it is not Fable 4 a lot of people and a lot of old heads are going to walk in expecting Fable 4 and I think as somebody who enjoys skate who enjoyed Veilguard like these games that are like hey it's not the thing it was before but here it is and I'm like I am excited to eat that and everyone's like this is fucking dog shit okay I don't know like I don't know what the sacred fucking golden calves are anymore in the Fable universe that's going to piss off the Fable person because I played Fable in Parker's room had a great time had the horns did the thing thought but like I'm not I can't sit here and tell you all about Fable like I was playing it last night starting it I was like oh right like I don't remember any of this.
19:54Andy Cortez:I must have jumped in on Parker Save doing whatever X, Y, and Z.
19:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:A game that came out recently that I didn't love, but I'm happy that it was what it was, is Dragon's Dogma 2. That came out, and that was a weird, hardcore action RPG that stuck by its systems that was like, hey, we can get all of your companions sick, and they'll all die and all this shit, right? The plague was spreading and stuff. That did not vibe with me, but the people who that lied with it hit heavy with i hope that's fable like i hope fable sticks to all the things that like makes what fable that makes fable what it is because i think one thing one of the things that gets lost in modernization is becoming homogenous with what's contemporary contemporary i was gonna say temporary i was like that's not the right yeah i don't want that in the fucking chat bishboro let's hope we can change the appearance
20:43Andy Cortez:of the main girl or else gonna have to deal with this fucking shit or also have to deal with this fucking shit. Oh, this woman's ugly. She's got hair on her face. You know what I mean? What am I talking about?
20:52Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Play the goddamn game. That's my thing with Dragon Age Veil Guard. I'm like, did people hate Dragon Age Veil Guard or did the hateful people hate Dragon Age Veil Guard? They hated it real loud, but then the Dragon Age fans also were like, yo, this ain't what I want. Because my thing is, to the hateful people, their job is to hate. So if you're going to hate on the girl or whatever, go be hateful somewhere else. I don't give a fuck about you.
21:13Andy Cortez:I'm not going to listen to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. If the game's good, I'm going to love the game. Read FS says Fable anniversary is in my top 10 favorite games. Hell yeah. Rabbit of cancer box is public announcement. Please watch the it crowd. And then here we go. Kevo says, I think the Fable trilogy was great when I was a teenager. My hope is what I think Greg said last week, quote, Fable 2026 should be, should be a funnier modern Witcher, which is what I think they, I mean, like that. So let's just get out. and we're not going to go into the weeds on this because this is what today's Greg away started Fable anniversary last night right played for I forget if it was the full hour but I got through the intro and I was like damn yeah like this is an old game like this feels old and like not even like the oh it's a little clunky you know what I mean like it's clunky as shit this that and the other I'm like I don't I don't I'm I still want that fantasy RPG but I don't want this one and so the day before chasing this adventure i want this grand adventure i had started a new witcher 3 save and so i went back to that last night and played and so my whole gregway is about that right of like i see them as different colors of the same drawing to a degree right where of course the witch are way more serious and way more intense and blah blah blah but it's like that is that idea right there of being able to go between them.
22:36Andy Cortez:And so like, I do stand by that and I do think they should get that. Like, but again, to say, Oh, playground games, who has never made an RPG this way, who's taking on a fate, the fable namesake and all this stuff, sit down and make the Witcher, but funny. I guess hard. That's the game's taken for fucking ever, which is also where you get into like, this has got to hit for Xbox. This has got to be that for Xbox.
23:01Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I'm excited to see more from it. I'm excited to see what they have to show, but I think they have the largest task here to try and hit for Fable fans and then also make something that excites people that aren't Fable fans.
23:14Andy Cortez:Yeah.
23:16Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I don't know if they're gonna be able to do all that, but I'm excited to see them try.
23:19Andy Cortez:Yeah. And then final one on this one, Lucy Dream Super Chats and says, will we get Fable Anniversary Shadow Jop on PlayStation 5? That was the other thing when I was playing it last night. Not so much the PlayStation 5 part of it, but when I was gearing up for this, I was like, all right, cool. download Witcher to switch and PlayStation five. And then I was like, all right, I want to do fable too. And I was like, I went on the rock and I was like, fable. Why can't I fables only cloud streaming? Oh, it's anniversaries only backwards compatible three 60 on game pass, whatever. So I put on the Xbox series X, but as I started it last night and found out how clunky, I was like, what are the odds are going to give like that?
23:50Andy Cortez:Hey, here is the fable anniversary, the fable one, two and three super collection. You're waiting for fable. That's coming out in August, but we're dropping today. this collection of games that has all the modern enhancements or whatever it's on pc game pass and
24:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:it's this that and the other i don't know what i want from you at some point this could be like when we when we're close to the fable release but since you've played a little bit of fable now last night since you're fresh off of it i want like a list it could be you paris or whoever else is like a fable fan out there i want three to five things that the new fable needs has to have yeah it has to have to like keep with that same spirit of like this is fable but also to bring it to 2026. Okay. It could be a games cast. It could be a Greg where you can just tell me to tell us to me at my desk.
24:34Andy Cortez:I like that. I like that. How about I tell you to at this desk? That was terrible. Number two on the Roper report. Life is strange reunion leaks early Jesus Christ. I just can't read today. Everybody let me try again. Don't judge me. Number two. Life is strange reunion leaks early coming sooner than we thought. This is Kenneth Shepard at Kotaku. While we are live, I am refreshing the Xbox Wire page where this originally leaked from because the Square Enix direct about this is going on right now. So the leaks we're talking about should be reality and hopefully we can dig out a trailer. Can you look for that while I go if that's possible?
25:09Andy Cortez:Anyways, we go to Kenneth at Kotaku. The rumors were true. Life is strange. Reunion is coming and it's bringing Chloe Price back into the fold after 2024's double exposure hinted at her return. Perhaps most surprisingly, however, it's coming out in just two months. The official announcement is set to go live at 1 p.m. Eastern, but Xbox Wire posted its announcement blog a bit earlier. Reunion will star both Max Caulfield and Chloe as co-protagonists with both having different gameplay mechanics. Matt, was this the trailer? Yeah, we can live react. Yeah, I want to live react if you can pause for me, buddy.
25:43Andy Cortez:Max is able to rewind time as she did in the first Life is Strange while Chloe will use her augmentive quote-unquote backtalk mechanic from the prequel before the storm. Argumentative. What did I say? You said augmented. Thank you. I can't read today. I shouldn't even be here. The big, I should just go play Witcher. The big question is how Chloe is able to return despite her possibly dying at the end of the original Life is Strange, a choice that double exposure made a point to import. Based on this line in the blog post, it seems like it may be the result of a timeline jumping Max did in double exposure, though I expect the minutiae of this to be affected by which choice you made way back in 2015.
26:20Andy Cortez:Whatever the case, it does seem like Reunion is not undoing either choice as the blog says, quote, whether Chloe lived or died in Arcadia Bay and whether she and Max were friends or lovers, these choices are key, not just to the past. You'll confirm as you play, but to the future, you'll fight for the chance to build end quote. So I will hold no judgment for the time being in what, and I won't have to wait long. Reunion is coming to PC PlayStation five Xbox series on March 26th. It's very likely that more details will be coming when developer deck nine posts its actual announcement. So we'll have an update to this story when that happens.
26:53Andy Cortez:Can we now watch this trailer, please?
27:02Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Man this brings me back your actions, but you're not gonna get me though This brings me back, but you're not gonna get me Square Enix deck nine Cons is a bad idea
27:17I thought the storm would be the worst thing to hit Caledon. But now, I only have three days to save everyone. Moses!
27:31Andy Cortez:Moses is back, baby.
27:39Andy Cortez:One last chance. to rewind time. That's good. All that destruction and there was nothing I could do. You bought us time. Time that we'll make the most of. With so many lives at stake, I need all the help I can get. Safi? In the flesh. You saw this campus burn down, then it means it was supposed to happen.
28:06Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I really stopped it. Her fucking mom. Remember her? I know there are consequences to using your powers, but maybe this time is different. Right when everything is falling into chaos.
28:24She walks in. Like she hurt her heel. Chloe. How are you here? Lots to discuss. Right now, I think we should run. that's not her is that Ashley I mean let's go Max oh that's a good question it might be Ashley Birch's I have memories I didn't know Ashley Birch was Chloe I never put that together Max did you do this your visions the fire we'll figure it all out whatever comes next it will happen to us
29:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Nah, it's not. She just doesn't look like Chloe. She got blue hair, though. You can't come back to me just to end up here.
29:14Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Like, I'm sure this is graphics and updated our style or whatever, but... I guess Max doesn't look like Max either. But I'm used to this, Max.
29:22Andy Cortez:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so yeah, I don't think it's actually Birch. Chat says it's not actually Birch, so I got them going for me. Sad Crab says Tech N9ne's greater than Deck N9ne. Nobody's arguing that. Deck N9ne?
29:34Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'm going to eat your slop. You know what I mean? Like I'm going to play the fucking game. I'm not going to like it. But did you like that trailer?
29:39Andy Cortez:Because I like that trailer. I'm with you. Like, why do we keep coming back to the well? But like, it honestly, I think back of what we didn't like about double exposure. And it was the ending. It was where we went with the story.
29:53Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh my God.
29:53Andy Cortez:And it was very much the, we're going to, I'm going to get together the Avengers, the fucking superpower people. Right. And the fact that like, nah, nah, just stay on campus. You're just going to stay on campus, Max. you're gonna stay at caledon you're just gonna worry about this shit i'm like all right maybe i don't hate it hey that i don't hate where we're starting as much this is what i'll say you know
30:10Blessing Adeoye Jr.:they're they put out the new avengers trailers yeah and everybody's gonna going crazy getting hype or whatever but like one of the trailers featured steve rogers and that invoked a feeling of me of like steve rogers is sacred just leave him in the grave you know like do we got to bring back steve rogers like i felt that was good and final i don't know chloe is also my steve rogers you know what I mean like Chloe's sacred yeah I had my like I made that choice at the end of life is strange I felt a level of conclusion there I felt a level of like all right you know there's a there's finality here we did before the storm the prequel I liked that game you know I like that we went back and did that I don't want more from these characters I laid these characters to rest let Chloe rest well this is the final the final one right isn't that the way they
30:53Andy Cortez:I thought that I did I read that or did I see it somewhere else today so I thought somebody was saying making it out to be that this would be the final final one like the final final life is
31:01Blessing Adeoye Jr.:strange or the final one of their story here's the thing this might also be the final one of deck nine because it doesn't sound like that studio long in this world life is strange it might be you know how like you'll have like a cursed idol where whoever makes a wish with it will fucking die in five days or whatever it gets around and people keep getting cursed life is strange is a cursed idol where whoever works on a life is strange just goes down a bad path you know blooming rage was not good i don't not deserves better don't not should be making better narrative games and also i don't like people i don't like a studio that's not don't nod doing max and chloe stories i agree with that yeah you know i don't know i just associate it so
31:38Andy Cortez:strongly with them uh from the the xbox wire there's a paragraph that begins which brings us at last to life is strange reunion the thrilling finale to the max and chloe saga a chapter that brings their book to a close i'll believe when i see it sure because again there's been comics and all this other shit that he was you know fucking spiraling out of this stuff let me just
31:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:say just not was good i do think that don't not is making good games outside of the narrative who's an adventure stuff but like i like don't nod for those types of games um yeah i'm with you i'll believe it when i see it if they're really gonna close the story out but i don't i don't want another game of this that said you know i'll give them a shot to convince me because i'm going to play this game yeah of course we're gonna play yeah we have to you know what i mean we have to we've played so many we've played the rest are we still gonna get the thing where max is assembling a bunch of super powered people because they kind of hinted at that in the last game no they're just gonna abandon that yes that sucks i mean it is either that or the fucking
32:40Andy Cortez:brothers from life is strange 2 are showing up at the end to fight off this caledon thing and what's her name from true colors as well a game i fucking love but can you imagine what do you do i rewind time what does the brother do telekinesis and flies what do you do i feel everyone's emotions well like that man's scared
32:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:he's scared it's better than chloe because here they're like yeah my max can rewind time and chloe
33:02Andy Cortez:can talk back to people which was never a superpower i mean it's i mean you know whether it's the sparring quote-unquote power of backtalk that still allows her to browbeat her opponents during key conversations or just her whip smart tongue during regular dialogue.
33:16Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I feel like Chloe and the True Colors protagonist can hang out with each other. Oh yeah, for sure. They're like, hey, we, at least the True Colors girl has like a power even though it is empathy but it's still, she sees colors. There's still something there.
33:29Andy Cortez:Yeah.
33:30Blessing Adeoye Jr.:But yeah, it's not as cool as you're right in time.
33:35Andy Cortez:I don't know, man. It's just the normal thing of there's keep them wheeling them out, wheeling them out. I would have just preferred, you know, I would, I, after life is strange too, I was like, all right, I didn't love life is strange too as much, but I'd like to see this anthology continue. True colors. Great. Good job there. Is this the last life is strange game? Well, capitalism would tell you no. And to your point, we're trying to figure out what's going on at deck nine. Yeah. Google in deck nine owns this IP and it's trying to make money off of it. But like, also we know they are historic with not enjoying stuff.
34:09Andy Cortez:That isn't just their Japanese games. so this could easily be the last for a while like the latest article i'm finding is from 2024
34:20Blessing Adeoye Jr.:like december 2024 talking about a second round of layoffs from deck nine yeah i just don't have faith that deck nine is like going to be around that much longer yeah and so if they're not making it who is square enix going to give this ip to are we going to go back to don't nod no why not they don't own them I mean they don't own deck nine but oh you're right yeah well I mean the earth must be salted
34:49Andy Cortez:there right
34:50Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I mean probably but like if you're if I'm if I'm don't nod and I'm square enix right and say deck nine and the terrible future ends up going away right it could be a solution because blue and rage didn't work out if blue and rage was a life did you ever play the second episode no
35:07Andy Cortez:yeah
35:07Blessing Adeoye Jr.:nobody did though
35:08Andy Cortez:the second half yeah yeah I think that's what didn't work for Bloom and Rage. Do you even like the first half? I never even played it. I played the preview, and then I was like, I'll play the thing, and then nobody cared about the second half. And then I saw Jerika from JK Games the other day Instagram about finishing it. I was like, should I play it? And she's like, yeah, you'd really like it. Oh, interesting. It's also about trying to find time to go do that when I got to go play The Witcher 3. All right. I'm going to look up Bloom and Rage's Metacritic because I could be off here. I mean, regardless of Metacritic, I think your point stands.
35:40Andy Cortez:is that we know that don't nod had layoffs after this game and so it's the idea that how big can you make a studio to make these kind of games without that ip it do we live in a time right now don't nod is in a place i think that's interesting where the studio has grown so much since the success of life is strange and then obviously shrunk a bit too it was sadly that you then go okay well we want to make games like that still what it's like all right cool but like you got to go back and make a new ip when you were small and then grow that ip that you own whereas like yeah if you could give them back life is strange but then all this has already happened
36:17Blessing Adeoye Jr.:next y and c but have they have they superseded life is strange at all don't nod like has any of their games exceeded beyond the reach of life is strange i mean the honest to god's truth is no
36:30Andy Cortez:i think banishers should have i think as me and ady talk about all the time though banishers was too dang long like that should have been a much shorter game that you could have gotten in gotten out of then made a sequel with the other stuff and kept going and that's what yeah just on of
36:43Blessing Adeoye Jr.:course people love just on yeah but i don't it's not at the popularity like they put out tons i feel like tons of games tell me why i believe it's don't not um there's twin mirror that i don't
36:52Andy Cortez:think anybody remembers nobody liked that one yeah i don't think they remember that they put
36:55Blessing Adeoye Jr.:out that game yeah and so like i think if there's an opportunity to go back to life is strange for don't nod honestly that's a big marketing beat hey the originators of life is strange they're back on the game right like I think that's a way to revive this otherwise I just don't see a future for life strange because then who's going to work on it
37:12Andy Cortez:if not over here who knows if it's true but hot dog man which of course is a life of strange reference so I believe that this is a fan who knows thing deck nine deck nine fired everyone they to bring in the expanse's game director to finish this contractually obligated sequel Square Enix had to publish for double exposure that's what Roger was telling me something similar to that right before I missed that so at that point you go no this game ain't going to work out and it was the funny thing of looking again the end of double exposure is I'm making the Avengers and we might have to go after, depending on choices of the girl we just hung out with.
37:44Andy Cortez:Right. And then you look at this trailer and it's all the same character models from double exposure on the same university. Oh, you needed to flip a game as quick as possible, which I'm not against. It takes a long time to make a game. If you've got a story to tell, let's go for it. But you look at it like, but wait a second. Wait a second. It did take them a year and a half to pick this game. Is that how long it's been? it's not been that long since double it's over here we will see everybody we will see uh let me see some super chats here for life is strange uh bg25800 says life is strange 2 is the best one to go back to well i don't believe that i mean life's well i mean it's because it's all the
38:19Blessing Adeoye Jr.:life is strange 1 was dope we didn't know what we were getting at the time you know at some point i will play life is strange 2 i never i played the first episode and then never got around to finishing it because the release schedule was bad yeah but i know there's a handful of people that loved the story of life strange too and i would like to experience it well while you google about

44:33Andy Cortez:number three on the Roper Report Doug Bowser joins Hasbro's board fresh from retiring is Nintendo of America boss. This is Andy Robinson at VGC.News. Nintendo of America's recently retired president and COO, Doug Bowser, has joined the board of directors at Toy Giant Hasbro. Hasbro is the American entertainment and holding company behind Wizards of the Coast, Transformers, Monopoly, Nerf, Peppa Pig, and countless other household names in toys and gaming. Bowser joins the Hasbro board after having retired from his Nintendo position just weeks ago on December 31st, 2025. the exec spent six years at and as noa's boss overseeing the launch of the nintendo switch 2 and the company's significant expansion into licensed merchandise cool cool yeah this is same thing happened with reggie i'm done there and now i'm on a bunch of fucking boards and does i i don't understand 100 yeah i was gonna ask like what what happens when you're on the board i think you have you go to meetings you probably get a stock option you get your name thrown around here so people look at your board and go oh well they have people who know what they're doing so i i want to partner with you and invest in you you like like how many meetings a year do you think
45:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:doug bowser's going to i mean like for this like three meetings very much like a name recognition thing of like hey guys we got the nintendo guy i think that's exactly what it is yeah yeah good
45:50Andy Cortez:for him good for him get that bag get that bag go on out there send us some transformers uh number four on the roper report more moving and shaking in the industry uh wow lead producer leaves blizzard to work on riot's long development mmo this is eddie over at game spot world of warcraft lead producer raymond bartos has left blizzard to join riot where he will work on the league of legends developers upcoming mmo bartos said quote i'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to join such an inspiring group of people and i can't wait to get started serving as a senior game producer bartos said his job will be to quote unquote help deliver an mmo experience players truly enjoy additionally bartos said he is excited to join another former wow that's you know what's what is that war world of warcraft i got we came off of wizards of the coast so then i was all like fucking lost in it for a second i was gonna say war of the world and i was like that's not right uh developer orlando salvatore or no no no salvatore at riot quote given our track record on world of warcraft uh we i have a feeling we'll be moving fast on day one uh he joins riot following the developer's announcement in 2024 that it was resetting its MMO project, saying it will go back to the drawing board and stay silent for quote-unquote years to come as it reshaped the project.
47:06Andy Cortez:The MMO was originally announced as a League of Legends game set in the world of Runeterra. The game had been in the works since at least 2020 prior to its reset in 2024. Let me bust out the old crystal ball for a second. Old crystal ball, am I ever going to play this MMO? not fucking likely wow you don't you don't believe it wow yeah i don't know man that's what my
47:30Blessing Adeoye Jr.:question was gonna be like how do you launch a new mmo in 2026 or like in modern time like in 2030 more like in 2030 you know what i mean like is there space for a new mmo to come in granted if anybody's gonna do it i do think it's right i think right's the one company that i would bet on to actually do that and somehow make it work what a question yeah so is there any room for an
48:01Andy Cortez:another mmo to enter the space yeah apps of fucking lootly 100 because all the mmos and i shouldn't say all the mmos but the mmos we think of a wow as a dork dc universe online these are old games they are dated games guild wars 2 even which is incredibly popular in modernized so much back then is an old ass game and so when you talk about like let's come in let's make it more action-oriented let's make it more feel like visuals this that the other like there's ways like a modern mmo you know do we i never played it do we want to count dune was the new dune game that found like that was an mmo right i'll say that's an mmo so that found by doing something different by getting it to an ip final fantasy of course but again an older an old game right yeah you can come in and you can do something fucking cool what kills all of this is gestating too long and so yeah i a few years ago riots making an mmo they have a war chest full of money they are unstoppable of course we'll eventually play it it's a valve kind of situation they'll do remember they laid off a whole bunch of people in january 2024 like that was the riot is not immune to the whims of the industry and people going like yo we're spending too much money on things that aren't making money so fucking cut it cut it cut it and so like that's where i come with this of i'm sure internally they have every intention of getting this game out but what is going to happen as we continue on the trend we are in in the video game industry and eventually get to the point of like how much money have we sunk into this mmo that we still don't have a date for that we still don't have a thing for this like cut it kill it that's my assumption of
49:42Blessing Adeoye Jr.:what will happen here have you been keeping up with the story of hightail kind of a hightail was originally bought by riot to be a riot game like they were going to publish and support hightail and then they were like oh we're canceling this like last year they canceled it and then the lead of that game decided to acquire it from what riot and see it to the finish line and now it's like the number one game right now yeah everybody's fucking obsessed with hightail and people are calling it minecraft 2 yeah that's fucking insane i can't stop thinking i like i've games fumbled essentially the next minecraft who knows if it has we'll see if its legs are like that i think we're streaming it today right i think so yeah fairly certain uh i saw a thumbnail
50:26Andy Cortez:of nick on it today maybe yesterday i think that might have been yesterday oh shit fuck me yeah no no no no yeah no no you're right today no hold on today's Tuesday yeah yeah sorry i clicked on the wrong one on top of that yeah nope that's no well according to that we streamed it yesterday all right good it's high telling yeah nick and joey yesterday crazy story i'm so fascinated with
50:47Blessing Adeoye Jr.:riot as a company because in the last decade and a half right like they're one of those companies that i think you'd put in the conversation with like a blizzard of you guys have found niches in markets where it's like this is a sect of video games where it's almost like these aren't even video game fans these are people who are fans of league of legends yeah these are people who are fans of this specific thing that you're doing right like league of legends i'll put up there with World of Warcraft as far as how it's created its own lane and world and like merchandise and all its own lane, its own lane, its own world.
51:18Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And like, I think it's put right on in a different class. And with 2XKO, I'm very fascinated to see how it launches because I don't know if it's going to blow up by any means. You're playing that today, by the way. At launch? That's the stream today. Well, that was supposed to be the stream today. Oh. Not launching until 6 p.m. Oh. And so now Roger and Mike are doing a thing. I don't know what they're doing. Punch each other in the face.
51:38Andy Cortez:Just for an hour.
51:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:um but yeah to xl like i'm so fascinated to see what the long-term legs are of that because i think that'll be very telling on how riot is able to continue to support something that's not their main thing because we've seen riff bound we've seen the previous card game before riff bound where they kind of abandoned that um we've seen them try to enter in the indie space and give the league legends ip to smaller things we've seen arcade and how big that's blown up they're out here trying to make big waves and it's not always successful exactly exactly and i think you
52:08Andy Cortez:know i like them taking the swings you know what it came on the other day i was driving around with ben what came on my uh shuffle on spotify from my kda kda and that that went on and i'm like and like ben was into it but i'm like man think about how popular k-pop demon hunters is and how popular kda was and they just did nothing with it you know what i mean where it was just like yeah we had we put out a couple songs it was great but like kda owned it for a fucking second there KDA should be what K-pop Demon Hunter do you think you'll play this MMO do you think anyone
52:43Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I think it comes out I mean you make a really good point about the layoffs but I'm still going to say yes I don't know if it'll be successful but I think it'll eventually come out I think there's a reason why they just haven't given up on it yet
52:58Andy Cortez:I hope so I would like to play it as somebody who doesn't like the gameplay of League like I don't have nothing against the world like setting out an MMO a cool
53:07Blessing Adeoye Jr.:MO I'd like to jump into yeah I mean that's how I feel about 2XL you know this will be my league or my yeah my entry point into that world aside from
53:14Andy Cortez:Arcane number five on the Roper Report quote thank you all end quote Rockstar Games looks to have granted a terminally ill fans wish to play Grand Theft Auto 6 this is Tom Phillips at IGN.com Rockstar Games has reportedly granted a wish to a terminally ill fan whose family member asked if they could play grand theft auto 6 ahead of his november launch date the unnamed fan was contacted by rockstar after a linkedin post from a relative blew up and apparently caught the attention of take two ceo strauss zelnick thanks insider gaming uh anthony armstrong a developer at ubisoft toronto originally made the plea on behalf of his family member last month calling for help from any connections or games industry colleagues in getting the message out quote a member of my family who has been battling cancer for years just recently got the worst possible news he was given six to 12 months to live armstrong wrote the reason i'm reaching out is that they are a huge gta fan and with the latest updates he may not be around long enough to actually get to see gta 6 launch best case scenario he will be leaving us the same month it does quote he currently lives only a stone's throw away for mock stars oakville studio so it's my hope that one of you may be able to set up an exclusive play test so we can have a chance to experience the game before passing end quote Armstrong later updated the post several times firstly to confirm it had caught Zelnik's attention and then lastly to state that Rockstar Games had been in contact with quote unquote great news that's all I can really say Armstrong concluded but thank you from the bottom of my heart that's a touching one
54:42Blessing Adeoye Jr.:that one actually as I was reading it originally made me tear up a little bit I don't know what about it but like it's such a feel good story and also it just displays the power of video games and the passion people have for them right it's like dude Dude, I'm passing away later this year. Like, best case scenario. And being able to be granted this thing of, I waited so long for this game. Let me at least check it out a little bit. Like, that's really cool.
55:03Andy Cortez:Very, very cool. No, I'm resisting every urge to make some jokes, so I won't. What jokes would you make about that? Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it.
55:12Blessing Adeoye Jr.:What boss will...
55:13Andy Cortez:This is what I will say. I'm fucked up in the head, Wes. I can do whatever I want.
55:18Blessing Adeoye Jr.:This is what I'll say about the person who got to play, right?
55:21Andy Cortez:You know, like, listen, what was it like? Like, not even leaking. He's wearing meta glasses the entire time.
55:27Blessing Adeoye Jr.:If you could rate your experience from, like, you know, one through 10 on a 20-point scale.
55:33Andy Cortez:More importantly, sick person, do you really think it's coming in November? Did it seem that close to being finished? Because Jason Trier over here, you know, healthy as far as I know, he's saying that he, you know, he's saying all sorts of things. He can see it slipping.
55:46Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah, but he's just saying that because it's like, he's saying that if anything's off and they'll delay, he's saying they will delay, but he's not saying they will delay. He's not saying it will be delayed. He's saying, quit Steven. But now you have first-hand knowledge.
55:56Andy Cortez:But you've seen it. So, like, what's Rockstar going to do?
56:01Blessing Adeoye Jr.:You're not going to do shit.
56:02Andy Cortez:That's a great point, actually. What's Rockstar going to do? That's a great point, sick person. Like, by the time you even got to the legal, in front of a judge, you're gone. He made that joke. I didn't make that. That's not a joke. That's a serious statement. I mean, that is a serious statement. That's a real fact. That is a real thing. You know, what I wanted to do was try to attach it to the union busting. How? I was working. I said I wasn't going to do it. So I didn't do it.
56:27Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I thought you were going to somehow connect it to the boiler room explosion.
56:31Andy Cortez:Also thought I was like, I didn't have it yesterday.
56:33Blessing Adeoye Jr.:What was the update? Was there any update on that? No, it was just an explosion. It was middle of the night. So like, oh, okay. Nobody got caught in it or whatever. Somebody said that there was the original reporting was that there was like bigger damage than there was. It doesn't seem like a thing though.
56:47Andy Cortez:Okay. Fair enough. Well, if a boiler did explode and take out the GTA studio and all the servers, with all the things. That'd be big news. But say I wanted something smaller. Say the tiniest news I need to know about. Where would I go, bless?
56:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:You'd go to our last story, the We News channel, where we cover all the small news items you need to know about.
57:02Andy Cortez:Number six, We News. Rubato launches on PC and console on March 20th. Let's watch the trailer. This is one that Roger said that we had to watch. Oh, God. And when Roger does it, it's usually a joke. Rubato.
57:13Blessing Adeoye Jr.:So far, it's kind of cool. What is this? I like that pronunciation because I originally read it as Rubato. We know me. I'm an idiot. I don't know. Like, Rubtato or something. Rubato.
57:27Andy Cortez:A new 2D Fizzy Space.
57:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh, it's Selective. Playing as a frog? Yeah. You're playing as a frog. It is the year of the frog. I saw what, Polygon said that? QE platformer. Oh, it's an Onion Man. He looks kind of like... He looks kind of like the dude from Parappa the Rapper. Master Chop Onion. He had a man playing pool. This is kind of cool. Yeah, I fuck with this actually. Oh, you're in a UFO. You're a pinball man now. You're in a car driving. You just ran into a cow. Is that a Sega Saturn logo? You're first person in a car driving. I love video games.
58:16Andy Cortez:Oh, it's going. It's still going. It's still going, yeah. Got a good... art style when it goes to the art. Oh, now it's DDR.
58:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:The human characters are showing. That guy looks like Mega Man, but a nice agent. They're not Rhythm Heaven. What was the game I'm thinking about that? Elite Beat Agents. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Skull is screaming.
58:48Andy Cortez:I'm interested, but I worry this is one of those games that's an everything game and it doesn't do anything great i like the energy here
58:54Blessing Adeoye Jr.:the energy's great this feels like if instead of playing earthbound toby fox march 20 was really obsessed with the second saturn and made this that's what this game gives me something in the
59:07Andy Cortez:chat yeah there it is uh sunny side up says indie crimson desert just doing everything gooba gooba goo in chat says everything slopped uh for mario 64 via the verge sony announced is planned to spin off its TV business in a new joint venture with TLC. 51 % TLC. Yeah, I say TLC. TCL. 51 % TCL. 49 % Sony. Table, ladders, and chairs? I was thinking probably the channel, the learning channel. Remember that? No. You know the... Oh, TLC. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or the band, TLC. Don't go chasing waterfalls. Yes, yes, yes. Lisa Left Eye Lopez. Don't get me started on TLC. Oh, you know about Left Eye? Oh, of course I do.
59:47Andy Cortez:Oh. Remember when she burned down her house? she got all mad at her boyfriend who was on the seahawks right or the eagles and then put all the stuffed animals in the bathtub and set it on fire they realized the bathtub would catch fire burn the whole fucking house down i didn't know about you gotta watch behind the music tlc uh anyways new company is expected to retain sony and bravia branding for its new products and commenced operations in april 2027 wizards of the coast is bringing dungeons and dragons to fortnite for the first time through a new collaboration with top fortnite creators chartis and teravision games using epics uefn tools the teams have launched five fan-made fortnite islands inspired from ice or by iconic dnd locations monsters and gameplay styles ranging from pvp and platforming to massive co-op roguelike experience this is my spoon is too big guy my spoon is too big what did i just see What is this?
1:00:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I just pulled up the Because it's the family learning channel Which reminds me of the TLC always Oh My spoon is too big I thought it was Fortnite related My prediction Kind of loosely based off this Sometime before the end of this year You will get And people are going to hate it People are going to hate it Fortnite will come to Magic the Gathering You're going to have a secret layer drop Of Fortnite cards that are playable In Magic the Gathering And people are going to fucking riot
1:01:07Andy Cortez:That's going to be the jump in the shark moment. Because people have been getting... I've seen you talk to me about it last MagicCon, right?
1:01:13Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah, people are really mad about the collaboration. People are saying that this is the Fortnite-ification of Magic already. Based off of all the IP coming to it. So when Fortnite comes to Magic, the Magic community is going to be fucking mad. That's when the community will stop. Oh, people are saying it already happened. No shot. Did it already happen?
1:01:32Andy Cortez:Hold on. You Google. I'll keep going. For my Nintendo news, Sega announced Sonic the Hedgehog presents that Chaotix Case Files, a brand new narrative podcast from Sega in partnership with Realm. It debuts January 27th, 2026. That's crazy. It already happened. Well, now they do the full deck thing, right?
1:01:52Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Because Secret Layer is just a couple. Secret Layer is just a couple cards. I think if they go the full set thing, I think they will lose a big portion of their audience. Wow. I think that's where people draw the line. Wow. And then do you care about this Sonic? A little bit, yeah. Do you know much about Chaotix? No. Chaotix is like, they're kind of a spinoff crew from the sonic world okay um you got the i don't know their names full you have sbo the chameleon he's like a purple chameleon sure um you have the alligator crocodile chat what's the name of the crocodile and then you have a b um cream involved at all with these groups no no cream isn't a chaotix um the whole thing with chaotix is that like vector chess vector thank you in sonic heroes you know there's you have different teams that you can choose that have their own motivations team chaotix they were just broke um they needed to get money that was their whole thing they were like we gotta pay rent and so we're gonna go after all this shit because we gotta pay rent that's team Chaotix right there alright you gonna listen?
1:02:45Blessing Adeoye Jr.:no spiritually I want to you know because I like the idea of like oh we're doing Chaotix content hell yeah let's fucking go you don't wanna just

1:03:39Andy Cortez:Two new characters, eight new balls, a questionable mark about new passives, and one new secret. Meanwhile, Hitman World of Assassination cross-progression is coming February 3rd if you have your IOI account. And then finally, The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass music is now available on Nintendo Music. Cool. Very cool. Yeah. And that's it for Wii News. We turn our eyes to the old Super Chats. From the top, Rob Elise says, did Tim get me sick via YouTube? Fuck's sake, Tim. It's how powerful the germs were here and what Fran did to amplify them. Sasquatch Oni says, Greg, get Evil Dead in review.
1:04:18Andy Cortez:There's a new one this year, Smiley. I've never been an Evil Dead guy. I like horror, but the Evil Dead just never did it for me. Not my thing.
1:04:25Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I watched Pulp Fiction for the first time this last weekend. In review, baby.
1:04:29Andy Cortez:Commentary's up now, me and Nick. Can't wait to talk about it during in review. Exile Online says, blessing between 1 to 10. how hot was Sonic's feet?
1:04:37Blessing Adeoye Jr.:We're not doing, we left it on the last KHD. We're not talking about Sonic's feet anymore.
1:04:42Andy Cortez:Done.
1:04:42Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It's done.
1:04:43Andy Cortez:Varum Dex says, if you like British humor, definitely check out Thank Goodness You're Here. Yes, we all love, people who played here love that. We talked about it for a long time. Dexter comes back and says, I was an OG fable player and was extremely disappointed with them due to the overpromise by Peter Molyneux, but I do have more faith in this fable. Kobe says that the new Life is Strange game ends with a black screen. White text pops up. max and chloe will return in avengers doomsday uh edward super chat says i'm super hyped for a fable but i am a brit that's you're fine with that i'm we're super hyped for it too uh s'mores and oreo says greg i highly recommend you check out tainted grail fall of avalon it'll trash that rpg itch it's the best elder scrolls not made by bethesda last year when this game came out in early access remember if i'm right i got a code and i didn't jump in jump in i don't even know I started it honestly it's the idea for me of because people are like oh Greg claims to love western RPGs he hasn't even played the best one drop this year it's one that you say Bethesda and Elder Scrolls when I look at it man it looks way more like a Souls game not in terms and I'm saying difficulty but in terms of world and again that's not a world I want to spend time in it's again for Elder Scrolls or for Elder Scrolls Jesus Christ Elden Ring and for Dark Souls and for Bloodborne it's not the oh you got to try the boss a million times which is annoying to me it's more the fact that like I just want to be around these ghosts and skeletons and like the world sucks and I'm some ethereal being so I appreciate that but whatever Melodic Quest says Life is Strange 1 changed my life the trailer we just watched did nothing for me true it's the fortnight of the Kate no I'm kidding Kevin says hey guys flying in from Philly for the live in review next week hell yeah come watch us do Howard the Duck live for as part of SF sketch fest next week kind of funny.com slash sketch fest Kevin says any wrecks on restaurants or things to do in sf with my girlfriend i feel like we've done this a lot and i know there are greg ways about it and things you know whatever it's gotta be a definitive kind of funny podcast right yeah we should always redo it because everything changes you know but like what if you're over by you're gonna be in the marina yeah we're doing cobs right that's where it is yes you're in the marina you got the the pizza place mcafree loves so much tony's tony's is over there you got original joe's over there which i love and that's like a san francisco

1:07:15Andy Cortez:out in the richmond right and then under no no not yeah but like the the outer sunset right and then inner sunset is over on ninth that's underdogs trace now yeah that's right that's right and then of course Fiorella, SquarePie guys there's plenty of amazing things we've talked about go see Lucha Mad Rock says Riot's MMO is either like 2XKO after years in development and then changing subgenres before finally releasing or it could be abandoned like the Smash game because of Multiverse's failure that's it for your Super Chats everybody we ask people watching live I have to go to kindoffunny.com slash you're wrong and tell us what we screw up as we screw it up.
1:07:59Andy Cortez:Oh, my God. Jeppo, shut up. You know what I mean? I mean, it was one of the ones I want to see what he said.
1:08:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It was the thing. It's the fucking Yakuza thing. Yeah, exactly.
1:08:07Andy Cortez:Katie G says, and I'm going to butcher it. I'm sorry. Richard. Thank you. Is the British actor from the IT crowd who's in Fable. He's generally known as a comedian. Not to me because I don't think it's funny. Oh, here we go. Thank you. Hawks, I'll take it. Some clarification. In 1994, Lisa Left Eye Lopez burnt down the mansion she shared with Andre Rison of the Atlanta Falcons. When she burned his sneakers in the tub, not stuffed animals. Rest in peace, Left Eye. Thank you very much. I appreciate that. Rest in peace. And then Kebab says there is, and of course, of course, Kebabs would know this.
1:08:39Andy Cortez:There is a connection between Chaotix and Cream. Vector the Crocodile has the hots for Vanilla, Cream's mom. Also a reminder that Cream is canonically six years old. I'm not going to touch that one. you sonic sickos man what you can't have a family
