3:18That's OK. At some point. But before you even get into it, I just want to acknowledge because this always happens. Right. Today's a news day that the headline is not like a dire Xbox. Nice. Let's rejoice. Yeah. And whenever that happens, I feel like we get a lot of chats that are like, oh, slow news day, huh? And I just want to remind everybody that one. We want this. We want this. I want to remind everybody that this is a good thing. This is very nice. We're chill. We can chill. We can talk about Duskbloods. I could smile. I could talk about Steve Buscemi. coming to Far Cry. And we can actually have fun with this conversation.
3:50So I just want to, I want to start with that energy and say, hey, it's okay that it's a slow news day because that means jobs are safe. Yeah, jobs are safe for right now. For a moment until probably tomorrow, the day after. I've been seeing a lot of scuttlebutt on the internet of people with their review codes for Halo. I've been seeing that too. Campaign Evolved. Yeah. And we have them too. You have them. And I haven't hopped in. Not that I'd be able to say anything about it anyway but yeah um we're we were having a little pre-show discussion about your experience because this is something we want to we want to have like the slumber party stream we want to have the four screens and that's a technical nightmare so maybe we can't do that but the wan party we want your first experience to maybe be on that stream and then you know tim's like i got a kid and we're like i mean bring the kid she you know we'll have cheetos here for her yeah i don't think she's old enough to eat cheetos but really um how old do you have to be to eat cheetos you think uh you would have to probably have minimum three teeth i would say i'm gonna say at least 10 months we'll get cheeto powder you know we can grind it up in a powder yeah yeah i think like maybe you have to put in like a sauce formula puree yeah cheeto puree by the way it didn't seem like tim is you know gonna be able to commit to something like that unfortunately that's tough we're gonna try to make them though we'll try to make them i it's because yeah i've also not booted up the review copy at all wouldn't be able to say anything about it if i did um but yeah i was telling you that i'm in between like do i play it or do i just do i hold off for the marathon because will that be this the thing of the marathon i'm excited to play halo i'm very excited.
5:34You should be. I booted up the campaign before, like a while ago with Halo Master Chief Collection. I just didn't get that far with it. I think I had just gotten my Xbox. I was more infatuated with Rare Replay. Oh, of course. I was playing too much Jet Force Gemini. Did you do that preview? For Campaign of Ult? Yeah. No. I didn't do that either. I think you may have been gone when that happened. I think I was, yeah. I mean, it's pretty. It's got a good look to it. And, you know, it being in an Unreal and in a different engine completely, all the fun physics stuff was still there back in the day, you know, back in the day, you know, a month ago or whenever it was we did the preview.
6:14Yeah. But, you know, I have my hopes pretty high that this will transition into a very fun kind of modern game. And what makes Halo so much fun is playing it with friends and dealing with the physics of it all. I love just seeing enemies explode and throwing a perfectly landed, like, sticky grenade. Boom! And everything flies or whatever. Like, that's the fun shit in Halo. The chaos of it all. Let me talk about the chaos of Jet Force Gemini. Oh, man. Tell me all about it. You have the Tri-Rocket Launcher. Tri-Rocket Launcher, if more people got to try it, would be considered a top five weapon in video games.
6:50Really? Tri-Rocket Launcher? You think people are sleeping on the Tri-Rocket Launcher that hard? Oh, people are super sleeping on the Tri-Rocket Launcher. I'm going to put it on the YouTube poll. That'll kill any enemy in one hit. the tri-rocket launcher in jet force gemini is fucking insane it is exactly what it sounds like it is a it fires three rockets at the same time what are the most underrated weapons in video games uh like what rocket launcher you know obviously we you know when we talk about the most iconic we think buster sword sword we think um here's my thing i think ratchet and clank probably has all of the most underrated weapons because because i think because every weapon in ratchet and clank it's so wacky and fun none of the weapons really get the you know the fame and prestige is the there's a the rhino from ratchet is the tri rocket from he says half-life 2 crowbar is underrated that's not keep he played is not y 'all don't know what underrated means yeah just like it's not underrated no no i'm talking about a weapon that is just not talked about enough because maybe the maybe the game had stuff in it that was not super or maybe the game wasn't popular enough or the game had stuff that you know was so huge you kind of forget like oh yeah the weaponry was also really really sick because we only think about the story we only think about you know this and that or whatever i put is the tri rocket from jfg underrated oh yeah you have to know it's jet force gemini i feel like most people are going to vote in that have not played jet force shaman i but the people who know they fucking know the tri rocket launch is amazing jeff fangundy you know what else is amazing talking about video game news because remember if you're watching live you can be a part of the show by super chatting in over on youtube.com slash kind of funny games remember we couldn't do this without our producers over on patreon.com slash kind of funny so thank you to carl jacobs omega buster delaney the psalm twining and lax nomad for now let's begin with what is and forever will be roper report
8:52it's time for some news we have six stories today oh the glue gun from prey desert rambler says in chat i 100 % agree glue gun from prey is awesome okay let's start off with story number one the dustbloods promised play test is happening next month on switch 2 i'm reading from fran ruiz at euro gamer the lack of news on the dustbloods finally ended by june's nintendo direct announcement of a playtest has kept the hype for from software's next game at bay for now but that could change as soon as next month when players finally get a taste of what the studio has been cooking via the game's official site it's been revealed the closed network playtest will take place from august 21st to the 24th this is where i'll pause and say as i was putting the story together i had to do a lot of editing because these guys were this euro gamers so they were like oh it's taking place from 21st to 24th august i'm like nobody talks like that the 24th wait what oh i see yeah they're putting the days before the month yeah and i'm like let's get it together never been a fan of that no i will concede everything else around the world i've said this i'll put use in all the words like i'll do whatever i'll put use metric system way better than ours i agree with that i totally agree with everything you know except for this this is the one where i'm like we not only should you just give us this one we're right on this right we're for sure right on this yeah this one and not eating beans and toast uh yeah bless you i'm gonna we should play that one game when it comes out.
10:27When's it come out? Eight. Wait, wait, wait, wait, what? I'm anticipating right now. Why did you say the month first? Of what month? I have to narrow this down. What year? 8 a.m.? See, this is how it works, Jack. 8.32 p.m.? This is how the conversation goes. God damn. You know, it's a lot easier to nail it down if I told you, Andy, when's the game come out december okay i have an idea when in december december 8th yeah oh wow okay there you go yeah see you see that is chat come on that's the interaction right there about it so yeah the reveal the reveal for the closed network play test it'll take place august 21st to the 24th to apply for a chance to get in players need to own a switch to console and an active switch online membership which is a point worth underlining the game was confirmed to be an online pvpve experience last year yet it'd be reasonable to expect a closed test to welcome all sorts of users alas that isn't happening here the application period will also be extremely specific with registrations starting july 22nd wednesday at 7 a.m pdt this is where i pause and say i had to do so much editing for this one because it was it was 22nd july wednesday at like 15 o 'clock b i think it was bdt what did y 'all just be saying what is the b b for british time british time yeah i guess that would make a lot of sense yeah july 22nd at 7 a.m pdt and ending july 28th on tuesday at 6 59 a.m pacific after that step players will need to wait until august 7th at 6 a.m pacific to learn if they're in or not for some reason this whole process is more complex prolonged and time sensitive than similar ones in the past while it's unclear what the final game modes and player counts will be like the dustbloods play test will allow up to eight players to participate in online matches expect hacking and slashing but most of what the game will offer is still shrouded in mystery oh handy what are eight players up to eight players will participate in online matches and we knew this before but now that we're approaching this play test happening only a month away what is dustbloods what is this video game what are we doing what are the what's the mode i mean pvpve it's it's based on anything that miyazaki has said in prior interviews he said he was so fascinated and inspired by tarkov escape from tarkov the human element that becomes its own variable and this weird kind of randomized thing you throw, grenade you throw in there to kind of fuck up whatever the chemistry is of the game design.
13:23It seems like he's super keen on the idea of you. That's a very like Australian thing to say. Keen? Yeah, I'm keen on that. I'm keen on that. mate i love australians so how do they do dates he's super keen on the idea of random team-ups you know can we hey can we put aside our bullshit right now to deal with this big threat in the world this gigantic boss this one cool enemy that we're trying to take down who may give us loot that you know and then at that point that's where the imagination kind of goes crazy because you go okay what happens when the loot is given out okay so the australians do it i guess everybody else does it are we the only ones that do month month day like month day then year yeah might yeah might so this is where i feel a lot of patriotism yeah one of the few things that gives you a lot yeah it's the only thing i love about our country yeah um so my mind goes to what happens after a team up happens when you kill a boss if you and i are randomly in the game we see each other and we go hey let's put aside our differences right now and let's take on this enemy together does the enemy drop loot who gets the loot do we then fight immediately or are we put like i i because at that point it's like well are we gonna just are Are we just delaying the inevitable of us fighting against each other right now to take down this enemy?
15:02And it's all of those little things, you know, when for the week or so that me and Mike and like Madoc and Kevin Asexawashi, we all played that one PvEVP game where you team up and it's a first person shooter. I think I know. Is it extraction? Very Western extraction. you're like in swamps you're shooting monsters is it Hunt Showdown? yes that's it I always want to say Hood Outlaws and Legends I always want to say that joke game The Hunt Showdown when you play have you ever played Hunt Showdown? weirdly enough I played it with Greg when I first joined the company we were doing a PS I Love You thing where every week we would choose a new game to play a little book club and one of the book club games was Hunt Showdown.
15:52Was that a good show? Yes, I Love You. You like PSL? Um, I liked it. But then we went and added Janet Garcia. Yeah. Actually, honestly, I loved it way more when we added Janet Garcia. Makes sense. And then she added Dip. Yeah, she added Dip. And I was like, we gotta stop this. So Hunt Showdown, for people that are unaware, seems to be very similar to what this could be. Hunt Showdown is, I think, four teams of three dropping into a map. Maybe there's more teams, but there's teams of three dropping into a map. And there are enemies on the map that you find clues for to let you know where that enemy is.
16:30And it's a boss. And that boss is going to drop awesome loot. See, that's fun. And it'll lead you to the bosses. And as soon as you start taking down a boss, you as the other players on the map go, shit, someone's fighting a boss. I hear it right now. It'll kind of, you'll hear like a roar in the distance or like some shit will happen. and you go, oh shit, they're fighting a boss right now. Do we wait for them to win? Do we third party this and hope that they're weak to the boss's damage? Oh shit, they already beat it, damn it. That means they're going to have that buff and they're going to have that strength or whatever.
17:04Let's not fuck with them right now. Let's go do our own thing and try to level up over here. The rhythm of it all is what's going to be interesting about it. and ultimately you know it's going to be i'll just already say it like it'll be my least played from software game because i just don't i don't fuck with with extraction and multiplayer games like that and you don't think this would be the thing that might turn you around on it no no because i i get so i get so um i don't know once once a meta develops yeah and you have to play as that character with that thing i i just and that's inevitable in every multiplayer game but it but in multiplayer games like i'm more okay with it if i'm playing i don't know something like anything overwatch or whatever the hell like i i don't mind it there if i'm playing deadlocker uh you know marvel rivals whenever whenever i boot that up a couple times a year but in games like this like i don't know it's just like there's like i think there's a level of commitment where it's you're going in and you're in this run for 30 minutes or whatever and like when i look at something like overwatcher for me i think of a lot of fighting games where there's there's always a meta in whatever fighting game i'm playing but no matter what in tekken the latest one i'm gonna choose victor yeah that's my character and guess what if i lose i play again like a match is a couple minutes you know what i mean yeah sure is in an extraction game you're in there and it's all right we've made this commitment all right we're getting third partied or whatever and then we die because this this team had the right configuration and we just spent all this time and now all of it's lost and we go again i'll also never be able to get past the mental roadblock of this is still not what i want you to be making oh and okay that's a very selfish point of view to have yeah creator is going to do what creator wants to do obviously you know you've made amazing experiences for us over the past decade and a half or whatever and but for me i go oh man this is this isn't just you know something and i think another thing that discourages me is i go you don't just make games every six months i can't just wait another six months for the next thing or another like a lot of time was put into this meaning a lot of time i'll have to wait probably longer for the next thing to happen and who knows they have a lot of development teams we know that we know other projects are being developed because they put out a lot of they put out games at a rapid pace i was looking into this the other day because i'm always i'm always looking into everything for a game showdown and i was looking at their release slate for the last years and it's like yo from software essentially has a game every year you know not a full game a dlc expansion yeah bringing shadow of the earth tree and so like even though you're gonna get this theoretically this year even though i'll believe it when i see it the flashlight kevin what are you doing back there that's a little flashlight i guess i just tested a little flashlight i didn't think you'd see I just looked Kevin's room is dark And you see a fucking flashlight On the wall He's so easily distracted There's just a slight light It wasn't even the wall No I saw it on the wall I saw it on the wall I saw it on the wall from my angle Oh yeah That's for real?
20:27Yeah That's not what I did I did that I did that Which is not a wall That's like Towards the window Like that I would have been like Alright yeah I could understand that That's crazy You guys are ridiculous Don't like Mike and his wind pants are in here.
20:42Bryant Francis:Hey, homies. So I'm listening to you guys talk about this, and I love your insights and your thoughts. I'm just, I'm a little surprised, you know, Andy Cortez, you love hitting the perfect Perry. When we play Elden Ring and someone invades us, you love the thrill of going one-on-one, stepping into the battle and smashing them with that perfect Perry and putting it in their face or hitting them with the backstab, right? And I know this isn't your dream game, but man, I think there's a lot of excitement for me around this when I think of a pvevp situation especially in dark souls that has had the pvp system for a long time now right and the invades or something there's always been the dark souls arenas that people create and everybody comes to and like surrounds each other with their fashion souls and then they battle one-on-one but the idea of like new builds every run that you do with different weapons and what you're going to allocate your runes to possibly but like what your build is and then finding out what other people are using going chasing that idea the next round stepping into a battle one-on-one and hitting that perfect parry while also having the thrill of maybe somebody coming in and third partying you or maybe an npc getting involved like this all seems like a really fun mix of an idea that i'm excited to see yeah i'm kind of in that same boat like i'm excited for it for me it seems it feels like they are focusing in on that invasion aspects of their games and trying to figure out all right how do we gamify this specifically we want to turn this into a full experience and i saw 8-bit louise says that's you mike you like pvp and i get that 8-bit louise right but like you've also had seven just normal dark souls and from soft games already you see this company is trying to branch out and try new ideas because they've already given you dark souls one through three Demon's Souls, Armored Core, Sekiro, Elden Ring, right?
22:32Bryant Francis:You have a bunch of PVE experiences that you can go play. Now with Night Reign, we're talking about a team that's like growing and ideas are coming out from this team of like, hey, I want to explore this. I want to try that. And hopefully all these ideas come and mesh into the perfect video game at the end of the day, what all the lessons we've learned. But like, this is a team that should be trying ideas. They're on top of the world. And I know you're waiting on Elden Ring 2, which is clearly in development, right? But there are going to be smaller projects from a team that is flourishing right now that are going to come out, and maybe they don't speak to you.
23:03Bryant Francis:But there's a larger audience than just the, I'm only diehard single player in Dark Souls. People like PvP in that. Yeah. Yeah, I guess for me, it still comes down to the fact that I'll play this for 20 hours and still wish it was something else. Yeah, like you're speaking from the A &D place. Just like I did with Marathon. Yeah. Like I enjoyed my time with marathon and despite putting, you know, 25, almost 30 hours in a marathon still thought for most of the time, man, if this, this was another destiny, if this was something else, you know, I, you know, yeah, it's fun to get invaded when I'm playing multiplayer.
23:46um but because it is a surprising element like sure it is a a random thing that happens but if if the core gameplay is just that um on a hardware that we hope runs it at 60 i that's my my my one of my things with it yeah um that i'm so curious to see with this play test is how's it gonna run how's it gonna function even when we're talking about the way that you sign up for the the play test it feels very like we're in that in-between space of nintendo and how when it comes to nintendo online you know for me it's not always the smoothest thing even though they've gotten better over the years but same thing with from software i'm like from soft online also for me isn't the smoothest thing they've also gotten better over the years but like these are both weird companies when you're talking about making something that's specifically meant to be multiplayer and experienced online and so i have so many questions as far as how easy and how smooth is that experience going to be and i would i would be a lot less hesitant about this if i knew confirmed in the next year and a half to two years hey we're doing this multiplayer experience duskbloods it's an experiment for us we know it's different but just so you know we have that next big thing in development i'd feel a lot less hesitant about this experience but i know that this is a project led by miyazaki this is like one of his babies and i'm like i mean i i'm all for creators doing and wanting to do and making things they want to make but my my feeling also goes back to when we saw the god of war lafay um presentation and during that showcase and some of the you know some of the the sentiment being ah they're just doing this again and i see that and i go okay yeah but nobody does it like them sure i we are getting that experience again because only they can do that because only sony santa monica is really is doing that single camera shot with cool characters and awesome combat and i would have really been bummed out if we didn't get that because i'd go damn we have who knows when we'll get another one of those from software game experiences are like everybody tries to do it yeah and if you get close if ever right and so it's like you know that's my that's my only hesitancy um and i don't yeah it all just comes down to genre it's you know when i when we talk about somebody going yeah but it's a multiplayer game i just don't fuck with that it's like yeah that totally makes sense i and i i totally understand that just from like the personal taste thing in a weird way i'm i'm more looking forward to this than i was looking forward to elven ring night rain and i think that's because I lean more towards the PvP stuff like once you add that second P that's where I'm like oh let's go I love facing off against other players like I love that kind of competitive experience and Elden Ring Night Rain for me was such a weird thing that ended up working out at the end when you get your hands on it and like kind of learn and understand how this game works it makes sense but I like them being experimentative because then you do get Elden Ring Night Rain and hopefully Dustbloods is another one of those and I have no doubts that we're gonna get a single player from soft game in the next two years and even when we're talking about the Miyazaki of it we have there are other directors in there that you know Miyazaki is the guy but like you know armored core that was I don't believe that was Miyazaki no um was Sekiro Miyazaki uh no so like you have people there that can make really really excellent games and I have no doubts as well that like they're probably working on the next Elden Ring 2 or whatever they're going to call the next like main line big staple the big staple action rpg they're working on it and i'm sure miyazaki's name is on it as well so yeah hope so um otherwise you know still a game that i'm excited to try out and a game that i probably won't play a whole lot of just because of what it is um and uh and yeah we shall see more about uh the dustbloods next month during the play test uh for now let's move on to story number two dead space creator glenn scofield is retiring after 35 years this is jordan middler at video games chronicle glenn scofield the creator of dead space and the callisto protocol has announced his retirement from the day-to-day work of developing video games in a video posted to linkedin scofield thanked his family and friends as well as his fans quote you supported me you invited my team's games into your homes you told me when I was good and you told me when I wasn't so good, but you made me better, he said.
28:41Schofield's career began in 1991, where he got his start on licensed games, such as Barbie Game Girl, before a stint at THQ. He'd go on to work on licensed games for much of the 1990s and the early 2000s, including such movie tie-ins as The Lord of the Rings Return of the King for EA. Schofield came to prominence for most players with Dead Space and his work on the Call of Duty series. Quote, add a front row seat to one of the greatest creative explosions in history, Schofield said in his retirement video. To EA, thank you for letting me make Dead Space. Activision, you gave me the keys to the three Call of Duty games, and I really appreciate your trust.
29:15He added, this is an amazing industry with so many talented people, and I know times are tough right now, but the future is really, really bright. I wish you all, the next generation of game makers, the best of luck. End quote. When this story came out yesterday, I actually clicked over to the LinkedIn video that he posted. it was him out i don't know where he's at but he's outdoors with mountains behind him and it very much felt like he had entered a new a different plane like thanos sitting down it felt like thanos sitting down and being like oh i did my job and now i'm gonna become a farmer yeah i think because it's glenn speaking to the camera for five minutes and i'm playing a video game and i'm like i'll put this on the background i listened to the full thing it was very sweet um shout out glenn schofield of course shout out to dead space and his work that he's done before obviously people love Call of Duty people love the stuff and I know not as many people love Call of Duty protocol I like Call of Duty protocol but also look at this background god damn where are you like it half looks like a green screen and but like the lighting is obviously like it looks so pretty out there yeah what a lighting setup I'm saying is this real that's what I want to know nothing's moving at all like I know it's real but like look at the plants behind him there's no weeds and there's no movement maybe he's uh in in the volume like he filmed he filmed that's what i'm saying like it doesn't feel like earth it feels like he transitioned to another thing and recorded this video from there i mean the lighting is matching up though it's very very whatever quality camera he's got to is great no it's real yeah you can see the grass moving in the background yeah you can see it a little bit it's just not a windy day battle glenn sculfield people are saying it's clearly a filter but Like the lighting matches up though.
31:01Like, I mean, he's a game dev, so he has the power. Yeah, you're right. You are right. This is all just Unreal Engine 5 behind him. He knew to make the grass move just a little bit. I mean, yeah, that's a, look, that's a pretty legendary career, you know, creating some of the, some really big classic games that almost kind of became genres. Like when we look at other games similar to Dead Space, we call them like, oh yeah, it's very Dead Space-like, you know. um yeah i think that's you know a you know our salute to you because you obviously put out some legendary products and um yeah it's kind of a bummer that clifton protocol didn't work out though yeah kind of a bummer again i like that game i understand why that game didn't set the world on fire it didn't feel like a it didn't feel like an innovation it felt like another one of those but i thought it had some cool mechanics to it i like the bobbin and weaving dude i i hated that like that's one thing that i'm like i know many people hated that yeah that was my initial thing of like it didn't have to be different you could have just done a normal dodge and i would have liked it way more but i mean the game was stunning visually um super stunning video game the um yeah i mean that that is a pretty awesome thing to be able to have on your resume that like these two games or you know this slate of games those are my babies yes i was also surprised to read that he started he started off doing the barbie what was it barbie dream girl game girl barbie game girl is that what it is oh yeah barbie game girl um i i love seeing like the the history of like oh yeah i started i was working on either a shovelware thing or a super licensed thing that you've never heard of uh lord of the rings return of the king yeah that's cool well yeah being going from barbie game girl being like i'm the creator of dead space it's such a cool story my favorite part when i was watching the video is halfway through he was like you know I was talking to the fans and then he was like to EA.
32:54I thought he was gonna be like, fuck you or some shit like that. But no, he was very gracious. He was very thankful, thankful for it. But I was expecting that turn. Yeah. All new Mondays, 8, 7 central on ABC. Next day on Hulu. and we're back let's hop into some super chats real quick um mike like music just wrote in and says do we see dustbloods characters in the next smash my question is do we see a next smash you may get a dustbloods amiibo i think you get some from soft thing i think it's their turn it's in a smash thing yeah like whenever they release either the next smash game or smash ultimate plus where they add five little tag or you know a little item that what do they call it when the little dude pops in and like helps you out trophy pokeball oh they're called yeah trophies yeah yeah yeah yeah i could see something like that but i don't know if you'd get an actual character i want a full character give me here's the thing if you're doing it right it would be the dark souls character your main character in dark souls i was gonna say tarnished but that's elden ring but whatever they call the main dark souls character i think you would do that chosen undead the chosen undead or you do who's the praise the sun guy i don't know why i did the motion solar solar maybe a solar but i mean wouldn't it be his dark souls wouldn't it be duskbloods though nobody wants that like sakurai he knows what we want yeah unless dustbloods has some like real cool character shit and people actually do form attachments you have the guy in the onesie with the with the mask what name one character from elden ring night rain from melding ring night rain i can uh okay hold on bird guy fucking like i want his name i want his name in the smash announcer voice dutch uh duchess duchess that's good that would actually be pretty sick play duchess and that's just would be really really rad to have that move of like the rewind damage thing yeah you know what i mean that'd be pretty cool give me give me wal walder is his name wilder wilder that's really but i also kind of sound like the saturday night live announcer i i i heard i heard smash there okay that felt good for smash uh what was it is there a guardian guardians the bird guardians the bird okay yeah i mean i if if dustbloods hits on that level then sure i could see maybe a dustbloods character but it's sakurai sakurai knows what's up sakurai knows the characters that people love and that people have those attachments to but on the flip side of that i feel like there have been i feel like there have been like recent amiibo for games that you're like really that's getting like diana from pragmata getting an amiibo was very like whoa that got it and again that's a multi-platform game right duskbloods is like maybe i'm thinking duskbloods because it's only exclusive to switch but yeah i mean you'll get a duskbloods amiibo for sure it's exciting i want one hope it's a little mouse on the floor the one that's dying the one with the dying mouse i mean from soft and meatballs are gonna be sick dying mouse why is this the character you chose in the game um if it lays there if it was zach uh writes in with the super chat and says birthday tax turning 40 today and i'm excited for my new job starting in august uh eighth grade english teacher lord help me yeah lord help you holy shit i i could Not imagining a middle school teacher.
38:02The TriRocket, by the way, tied with yes and no at 24%. All the no's have never played Jet Force Gemini. 51 % said, just show me the results. Damn. And then on Twitch, it came and went. So I didn't see the results there, unfortunately. Baynar Ascent says, Millennia, think about it. Her versus Sephiroth will be the hypest character trailer. That's a good point. Maybe you do a boss. Maybe you should Radon. I'm, I just, I'm... I feel like you have to be a mainline boss. I'm so excited to boot up Elden Ring for the 90th time on Switch 2. I have no reason to be excited for it, but I want to just, like, let it just be one of the new classes, you know?
38:46Oh, sure. But you can buy those on whatever platform you're on. I'm pretty sure there's, like, some kind of DLC. Yeah, but the little box is cool. Sure. I like the Elden Ring box. Hopefully it runs well. It'll be 30. It'll get 30. what does it usually run on is it always is it usually 30 does that run at 60 on modern consoles it tries to get to 60 yeah modern consoles it is 60 but yeah i'm pretty sure they have quality or performance but 60 is gonna you know you'll drop every now and then in certain spots you get to liernia you're gonna get to you know 48 52 frames per second and then you'll go back up and then down to 31 and back up to 50 quickly you know eldering might have had the best feelings of finding a new area in a video game like we got to figure out what's the verbiage to rank that because my first time matched getting what's the red place caleb caleb oh my my first time walking into caleb and being like this place is fucked i've taken two steps into this place and i can already tell you call your mom you're like get me out of here yeah i don't want to be here pick me up i don't know what level i'm supposed to be but whatever it is i'm not there yeah get me out of here big dogs the big birds oh my god awful this is a group of essentially zombies just walking on the sidewalk yeah like what are you you're in the wrong neighborhood i'm like i know get me out of here it was terrible um kinetic right then says first time birthday tax thanks kf for all you do i watch y 'all more than anyone else supporting is a no-brainer thank you so much thank you happy birthday we got another birthday tax from harden the paint who says birthday tax also was hoping y 'all would be on this episode as I just got my AYN Thor in yesterday.
40:21Loving it so far. Still holding out hope that Andy will upload his icons. Oh, his icons for... He gives eye emojis. Where could I even... Man, I think I have that PSD still. I might put him up somewhere. I don't even know where you upload shit anymore. You know, back there you do like Imgur and shit, but do people do that? Maybe like a Google Drive link or something. I don't know. JDSilva29 says, after Dustbloods, when is FromSoft's next release? I'm going to say 2028. Because I'm assuming, this is me assuming Dustbloods is going to get delayed to 2027. This is me betting on it. Oh, okay. But then I think the next FromSoft game will be 2028.
41:07And I think it'll either be, I don't know anything, but it'll either be Armored Core or some weird action game that's like Sekiro, like maybe even a Sekiro. I would love it if it was a Sekiro, but something that's not a mainline Souls thing, but them, them stretching, them innovating a little bit. They hop in and they go, Team Ninja, let us take it from here. Ninja. Like this is, you know, let us remind you how these games are. Oh yeah. Let us show you what's up. Yeah. Yeah. You know what I mean? I'd love like a Perry, Perry situation. It is really staggering. to think about Armored Core 6 coming out and being the robot mech game.
41:53Fast, crazy action. From the outset, from the outsider's point of view, you look at Armored Core, you're like, that looks like the least accessible thing. Like, how the fuck can I play this? You know, if... It just looks like very daunting, right? With the movement and all that shit. But for that game to come out and still... what did it sell like five to six million or something it's from from that's unbelievable they're them now you can't even their names on the product you're gonna buy it now it's insane to me and and i think you know am i gonna go with the same argument that if armored core six came out today would it sell like 60 to 70 percent of that maybe just because of money being tighter nowadays but like that selling that much is crazy thinking about how other studios and publishers can't get their big mainline games to sell three to four million.
42:48It's unbelievable how trusted they are, you know? 2028. It's Summer Game Fest. No, not even Summer Game Fest. It is finally time. 2027, December. It's Game Awards. Jeff Keighley is like, and I have one more thing to show you. Screen fades to black. From Software logo. Fades in. from software logo fades down and a new logo fades in that logo kingsfield okay this is the kingsfield i could hey and everybody's like what the fuck is kingsfield i could see that i i think i think people are more aware of obviously the kingsfield lineage with from software but i you know when we i think from software is maybe one of the only studios slash like you know being owned by Katakawa and we saw all the reports of Katakawa being like hey come on make more shit you know and then being like dude we do things you know trust us put the thing out it's going to sell I they're like one of the only newer companies that I think can just do a new IP instead of Elden Ring 2 instead of Dark Souls 4 I mean they proved that with Elden Ring whereas like you had Dark Souls like you have IP and they're like We're going to make an open world, essentially an open world Dark Souls, but it's not going to be Dark Souls.
44:13But with that thing being in development for as long as it was, I mean, that thing got announced in 2018 or 2019. Which one? Elden Ring. Like, we were at the old studio when it first saw the first trailer. It had been announced for a while, and it had been in development for probably a couple years prior to that. but I think like 2026 is just such a different time where all of these studios are going stick to the IP stick to the rivers and lakes you're used to movies no you are we're bringing back Chris Evans we are bringing back Robert Downey Jr. you gotta stick with the shit that we know because that's what's gonna sell because you take any risks and that's just like we just can't take risks anymore From Software is still one of those that can take a risk oh for sure and can come out with a new game called I expect them to take like they've only been taking magic time yeah like the fact that we got oh I guess I was gonna say Night Rain but Night Rain is kind of a risk you know like it has the Elden Ring name to it but it being a multiplayer version of that Duskblood's the new IP and a multiplayer IP like what the fuck is up with that and then yeah like I expect whatever their next new big RP I don't the beautiful thing about From Software is that I don't automatically expect Elden Ring 2 I think they can make whatever they want at whatever scope they want it's just so crazy that it's a Switch 2 exclusive yeah I can't like that.
45:35That is still so shocking to me that there are legions from software fans going, man, am I going to have to buy a switch to for this shit? And they would if it wasn't a PVP VE. I'm telling you that right now. Like I, if it were, if Nintendo throw that bag, I'm sure they could. Yeah. Would Nintendo throw that bag is the question. Actually, that's crazy. Yeah. Would they throw that? Because I'm sure for from software, like, oh, you want a single player game from us? You want a single player action RPG from us? Give us Mario. You start naming things. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We just want custody of Luigi.
46:11Yeah. I want... He's ours. He's ours. I want Midna from Zelda. You start naming things that you know Nintendo just can't afford. From Software says, we're making the next Zelda. We're making the next Zelda game. Oh, my God. Man. I just want that experience again of just booting up a new From Software game. I mean, you got to playtest next month. Here's what I'm telling you. after playing the demo for mortal shell 2 it's been it's been it's been a while since we've booted up a souls game because for two to three years it was just like non-stop yes every month it was like a new every month to two there was a new sort of action adventure experience that you know you kind of lose the feeling of what it feels to boot up like a new one of these and the the feeling of walking around kind of wandering lost what's next oh shit oh oh boss oh my god dude mortal shell 2 is like kind of low-key cooking with how it's structured and how you get around the world and what the bonfires are and i'm i was really surprised by how much i enjoyed that steam next fest demo interesting yeah i'm wondering i'm wondering how beast of reincarnation does because obviously it's not or i won't say obviously because i've i played the preview so i know that game is it's not soulsy in the mystery of the world and exploration of it it really only is it's more secular like in the combat a little bit right like it has that action rpg the modern generation action rpg uh like design tendencies when you think of a feller blade or first berserker or whatever one of those games you want to mention but i feel like it's been long enough like last year in the year before i feel like there was a it was the action game barrage oh yeah it's like ninja puts out five a year puts out five a year wuchang fallen fallen feathers fallen feathers another one of those wasn't there like a wudang wudang no that got that got uh like kind of kind of canceled okay really mood moodang was the korean game that we would aim two hearts yeah that that's not a souls game but that had this weird sort of action you have a gun but then there's weird kind of elements to it oh remember that one yeah so they lost i think they lost funding they said that their studio was like because we saw this at summer game fest or some big thing recently i mean the same page is still up.
48:50I could have sworn they announced, hey, we don't know how we're going to get funds. Oh, you know what? I'm seeing... Yeah, people are talking about how has this thing been canceled. Yeah, the studio went bankrupt. Yeah. Which is a bummer, because I think they lost maybe an Xbox licensing. And yeah, it sounds like Mudang the Little Hippo, yeah, but that's what the name of the game is called. It's called Mudang, right? It is called Mudang. Yeah, yeah, yeah. By the way, I wonder if there's enough space now where beasts of reincarnation can kind of have a spark and that people aren't as fatigued by these by the amount of these games that have come out i think i guess neo 3 was earlier this year i think it's cute enough and like inviting enough to have your little dog friend and the dog friend does moves and it's like it feels it's it's giving me that friendly sort of kena this isn't like we're not like all the other you know action of it you know this one's a bit more warmer and inviting and maybe positive and like let's we're trying to fix the world you know as opposed to like dark and dreary and depressed and you are you're just shit on the ground that we don't care about like i there's something about having this whole dog friend that feels like you know i want to care for this a little 100 yeah all right let's move on to story number three i forgot we're doing games daily yeah i was gonna say we got on a little craziest thing we got out of the ads yeah it's been like 10 minutes since the ad sorry chat yeah we did not go into story bad so number three paramount confirms mike zaymon is employed by avatar legends dev this is brian francis at game developer paramount games new video game division is coming online with what could be a win for the company the release of gameplay group internationals avatar legends the fighting game the two-player fighting game inspired by the popular 2005 animated series avatar the last airbender but industry professionals have expressed frustration over one developer working on the project, former Lab Zero Games CEO Mike Zaymont, who was previously accused by colleagues of sexual harassment in the workplace.
50:48Game developer can now confirm that Zaymont is an employee of the Avatar Legends developer. This information comes straight from a Paramount Games representative who informed game developer that Zaymont holds position as an individual contributor at Gameplay Group International, where he is working specifically on backend programming, engine architecture and netcode it's unusual it's unusual for any one developer to invite such scrutiny for his involvement in a project but zamont's history of allegedly abusive behavior has invited scrutiny into multiple games he worked on after shutting down lab zero games following a mass exodus of workers in 2020 that same year arc system works suspended zamont from work on rollback netcode update for guilty gear xx accent core plus a long game name the accusations against zamont landed in the midst of a mass reckoning in 2020 over allegations of sexual harassment abuse and other offenses being levied against individuals and people in positions of power across the in the games industry that's gross it's a small industry bless small industry people will recognize oh yeah you have people like this around and i it reminds me of like when whenever a kind of like celebrity or person who's like you know personality adjacent that ends or voice actor or something like that who's problematic who's had a really awful you know pass with abuse or whatever it may be and they get hired out of kind of the blue on something everybody goes no no no no no yeah no hey you're not gonna fucking work no no no absolutely not uh-uh yeah you're not we're not fucking with this person yeah thing and so it seems like it's good to keep you know the industry accountable for things like that like this this yeah putting this out there will lead to something i think like and like obviously this is a studio that i think knows that this this is something that's highly frowned upon because if you've been following the story it seems like people were putting the pieces together uh over the last few weeks and it seems like they couldn't really get a statement out until now from these guys of like yes this person is working on the team and it's it sucks for a few reasons one because i don't i don't know how many people watching and listening i know many of you do but how many of y 'all remember 2020 i think it was like june 2020 both that was when all the protests were happening regarding george floyd and all this but then also on the game in the game gaming industry there was essentially an entire me too movement happening as far as people getting outed for being abusive uh sexual harassment all these things and there are so many names being being thrown out there um i think now that we're god six years past it's fucking crazy i hate it six years after that i think we're seeing companies think that ah they forget they forgot like people won't remember like oh we can we can do this we'll hire you quietly we'll pay you this much and you do back end stuff like it'll be fine i we cannot let them get away with that yep like we cannot let them get away with that because that is that's hypocrisy that is the thing of like 2020 i think so many of us made the i'm gonna say commitment i'm that might not be the right word but i guess had the stance I'll say had the stance of accountability we need to keep these people accountable and we cannot let this shit slide and we cannot allow people like this to be working in the industry alongside people that don't deserve to be working alongside people who commit sexual harassment who abuse their co-workers and all this shit and so that's first and foremost as far as what the fuck are we doing here yeah it's secondly it's unnecessary L it's already such a shitty industry for women to work in yeah and for non-sexual reasons for non-sexual abuse or you know things leaning towards you know being uh you know whether it's sexual harassment or whatever the case may be it's already a shitty industry for women to work in it's an industry that that some women get into and go i i'm good i'm out i just you know so many politics it's it's a dude's industry yeah and it's so fascinating to like i remember um listening to jason schreier's book about blizzard just play nice or play nice and that talks about you know it just being dudes and then you know one woman gets hired it's like it you know things change and people are shitty and it's already such an awful place to work in and then to have this element element being thrown in there as well it's like to be able to hold these people accountable and to say no no time's not going to go by and we're not going to forget about that shit yeah you are working at this one place and you're trying to be really really on the low key about it but no like it's a small industry people remember people know who you are people talk to each other and yeah we're not going to allow that anymore and for a studio gameplay group here gameplay group international that's working under paramount they've been on such a streak of w's that it sucks to see they take an l like this there was a tweet or a blue sky post i saw the other day um i forget who posted it it was somebody i know so i'm sorry i can't remember which one of you was but somebody mentioned like yo if you follow the fighting games community you know this name like most of us listening to the show most of you listening to the show might not recognize the name oh see i didn't know that yeah but like if you follow the fighting game community there's a high likelihood that you know this name and the way this person um uh compared it was like yo this is like if a if a big triple a company hired bobby kodig to sit on their chair right like this is the name that you know is like hey no we don't fuck with this person there are twitter threads about you probably you look up their name on on blue sky right now and it's like oh people are fucking mad about gotcha so um yeah stay safe out there story number four steve buscemi is coming to the far cry tv show this comes directly from at far cry game on twitter welcome steve buscemi to the world of fx's far cry hope you're ready to get thrown into the deep end lose your mind and make a few catastrophically bad decisions along the way i keep forgetting that this is happening but every single time that i'm reminded that it's happening i get a little bit more excited about it because i think this is going to be a really good show i think it's an awesome win because steve buscemi is just always going to bring quality.
57:26Yeah. And he brings a level of, like, notoriety. He's a name. He's somebody that people recognize who has been in amazing things. And that's insanely exciting for another TV show that you're hoping kind of gets going and gets more eyes on. Oh, that's from a video game. Hopefully that, you know, boosts numbers there, you know. And a few things to particularly call out about this show. is it is being worked on by Rob Mack, formerly known as Rob McKellany. Rob Mack has worked with Ubisoft in the past on a show called Mythic Quest for Apple TV. Mythic Quest on Apple TV, phenomenal show. Fantastic show.
Read the full transcript
58:11A show that I recommend anybody who watches or listens to kind of funny games daily, you should watch Mythic Quest because me and Tim have talked about this. It's as if the people who write Mythic Quest watch kfgd it is so funny and accurate to the video games industry and like the inside jokes and bits that they have in the show it all feels like really um good commentary on the actual games industry it doesn't feel like whenever there's video game adjacent stuff in a movie and you're like oh that person's clearly never worked or known anybody who works in the industry it just always feels like from the outside it feels like more inside baseball-ish i guess yeah like it feels a bit more like oh damn y 'all made that joke that's crazy yeah who taught you that yeah who told you that yeah um season three gets kind of weird but like overall myth quest i think is a really great show but yeah rob mac worked on that as well um and the fact that i don't know the fact that you had such talent and such a vision behind that and you're seeing some of that same talent transferred here when you're talking about that ubisoft rob mac collaboration it being on fx as well i love an fx show and then also noah holly dude what was that noah holly who worked on fargo for 10 years on fx and fargo is a i didn't watch the last season but fargo is a is fucking phenomenal tv and i think it kind of like i i remember fargo losing to true detective or no no no no it was a it was a weird sort of thing during the emmys that year because true detective was nominated and so was fargo but like they they are both standalone series right like each season is its own sort of standalone story it's not a long-running series that you know kind of continues or whatever and it was one of those where it's like they should have been going up against each other because they were both standalone series like you know each season is its own thing but for some reason they didn't do that so they were like in their own categories and they i believe they each won but like back in the day i think fargo is easy to overlook because it was on fx and it wasn't an hbo type tv show it is such good tv and at that level of quality can we can be brought to something like far cry and get more eyes on something video game related that maybe boosts sales for the games like yeah i'm all for that i really hope they bring that quality What's funny is that, like, I look at this, and I think this has potential to just be bigger than the video game.
1:00:44Like, I'm not even thinking about it. That would be awesome. I don't think about it in the context of it boosting sales for the Far Cry game. I think about it as far as, like, yo, this Far Cry TV show, they might have a hit on their hands. It'd be awesome. If they do everything right here. It's also, I believe, an anthology as well. And so, like, every season, I think, is going to be a different story. So we'll see what they can do with that. But I'm excited for this. That's probably what I meant by instead of standalone, anthology is probably the word I was looking for. Let's close out with story number five.
1:01:08Story number five is going to be required reading for you. The name of the article is, The Entire Thing is Going to Fall Apart, colon, Inside the Latest Round of Mass Layoffs at Xbox. This is an article written by Chris Kerr at Game Developer. I don't have the full thing because it's a very long piece, but obviously it's going into more of the stories and details of people who were laid off and what they had to say about what's going on here at Microsoft. I'll read a little excerpt from it here towards the middle of the article. One person claimed Microsoft essentially tried to shove off as much responsibility as possible for managing the situation onto the unions.
1:01:44According to the multiple sources, that's despite the company failing to inform union members and organizers that cuts were imminent when concerns were raised shortly after Bloomberg published a report in June correctly claiming that another debilitating restructure was in the offering. Or offering? In the offering. quote many of us did not many of us did not know what was happening for weeks said one person higher-ups didn't know or did not say it was left to all of us to speculate and spiral and worry a source who spent years at elder scrolls online developers and max online studios described microsoft's overall handling of the layoffs as quote insane quote does microsoft care absolutely not and they seem to actually put some level of effort and care into making it as painful as possible and added one source impacted by the cuts at id software they continued quote microsoft obviously abandoned everyone from the union they laid off but they've been they've even abandoned the people that weren't in the union end quote one bethesda worker accepted that sharma actively tried to rationalize the cuts but said she largely failed in that regard because of how microsoft is implementing the layoffs eliminating 1600 roles immediately while pledging to call another 1600 workers before the end of the fiscal year they also questions how questioned how anybody at the company can possibly move forward quote i don't know how anyone remaining at xbox studios can feel safe knowing another 1600 cuts are coming and even then what happens after june 2027 will we get layoffs in july for the third year in a row uh end quote they pondered it is based on recent history a remarkably fair question that's where i'm going to cut off the read uh but kevin is this a link
1:03:24Bryant Francis:that they can find in the description yes i'll show you how i'm adding it there perfect yeah if you're watching uh if you want to go to the description click the link give it a read if you're curious about more of the story uh and shout out to chris care for doing good reporting work andy reports like this are a big part of what make makes games media click click click click it was a sound out there that distracted me as i was saying all that uh if i wanted something smaller say the tiniest news i need to know about where would i go you'd go to our last story the we news channel where we cover all the small news items you need to know about story number six is we news we got a jam-packed we news for you from vgc microsoft has removed tony hawk's pro skater one plus two from its list of upcoming xbox game pass titles a post on the official xbox wire blog listing uh the next wave of game pass titles has been updated along with an editor's note reading we've removed Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 plus 2 from the list of titles coming soon to Game Pass.
1:04:25No explanation has been given for the removal of the game from Xbox Game Pass's release schedule. Our bad. Ah, shit, somebody put, that wasn't meant to be there. Asha was like, yo, we own this, don't we? Yeah, don't give it to them for free. Take it off there. Tides of Annihilation will be playable at Gamescom 2026. Me and you, let's go to Germany. Very, very cool. From VGC, the next in-game event for Pokemon Pocopia has been announced, this time starring Zorua. Zorua's Hide and Sneak contest will let players play Hide and Seek with the Unova Pokemon to win in-game prizes and a new trophy. Speaking of Pokemon Pocopia, you know, I added some stuff to my fantasy team.
1:05:04Oh, snap. And I was like, do I add Pocopia? But I feel like the Pocopia DLC is something that, I don't know why I'm predicting it's going to piss off a lot of people. i don't know if that's gonna get reviewed like that yeah that too but i i do feel like it will come out and it will piss off people because of the little that it's adding mike what he added the incident at galley house that's such a smart pick what is that you know that it's the game um it's like a detective game like um i thought his team was full i thought his team was full too i think you had like two dollars left and a drop fuck that's gonna do really well i don't even know what that is it's um what's the game that came out there was a game that came out early last year that was kind of the same thing manor no not bly manor but it's kind of one of those it's a deduction mystery game um oh what's the name of the game i'll look it up later but i see that you've added grave seasons and mortal shell 2 we'll see chat laser eyes no not trees are dead trees are dead trees are dead it's like very much a sleeper not popular game but the people who know who know it love it gotcha more we news for you from gamatsu bit bot media and in-house game studio mechanimal games have announced final boss the video game a hybrid pixel art side scrolling beat-em-up slash 3d fighting game adaptation of the final boss image comic series it'll launch for pc via steam in q4 2028 god damn i think that's the furthest window we have right now um but i hadn't seen that word written out i haven't seen 28 written out like you know what i mean this shit looks crazy because yeah it turns from a beat-em-up to then fighting game gameplay with different graphics that i'm kind of into it uh dispatch is coming to xbox on july 29th nice get hyped playstation plus extra slash premium games for July 2026 have been announced.
1:07:02On X-Trail, you're getting Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Rise of the Ronin, Firefighting Stimulator Ignite, Citizen Sleeper 2, Star Wars Vector, Dying Light, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Rita's Rewind, and Snow Bros Wonderland. Then on premium, you're getting PsyOps, the Mindgate Conspiracy, and then Indigo Prophecy. Damn. Some 2000s hits. First of all, I fuck with Indigo Prophecy. I love Indigo Prophecy. That game blew my mind in high school, dude. man uh david cage is all up in his bullshit dude never never left his bullshit that game was just like i can't like people need to know about this like you know they tell stories i was so blown away by the idea of the game starting off and you're all fucking mind controlled and you just suddenly wake up and there's a dead body underneath you i'm like oh my god what a way to start off a game dude what if and the cop is walking to the restroom on a different side you're like oh shit What do I do?
1:07:56What if I go home and play some biblical prophecy right now? Amazing. And then, yeah, PsyOps, the MindGate Conspiracy. It's a cousin game, I feel like. I've never seen gameplay of this game, but I've seen the logo of this game everywhere. Oh, yeah. I'm pretty sure I had a demo disc that had maybe a video on it. It came with a magazine or something. Pre-registration for Ratchet & Clank Ranger Rumble, the mobile game, is now open worldwide on the App Store and Google Play. The Odyssey's Matt Damon is journeying into Fortnite. Nice. The blood of Don Walker has gone gold. And I just wrote here, Nintendo Crocs.
1:08:31Kevin, do you have this link? The video game? Nintendo, not the video game, the footwear. They're happening. They're at the Nintendo store. You know what? I like how themed they are. I like that the soul is like the ground that the characters walk on. And then the grass. And then there's the sky, the sky blue. Yeah. And then the little charms are the actual, like, this is kind of smart. If I'm being real, because I... I've never worn a croc. I've never worn an actual croc. I've worn generic ones. What? Growing up, they had Airwalks. An Airwalk from Payless Shoes. Were they spelled W-O-C-S? No.
1:09:16They weren't that crazy. Okay. But they had their own branded crocs. Okay. Or their own, like, non-branded. The Airwalks crocs. How long have Crocs been around? I must have been 12 years old. God damn. I don't know why I just think of Crocs as something that started six years ago. Oh, man. They've been around for a long time. They've been around for a hot second. And they were a joke. Yeah, I had these exact pair. They're black. They were a joke at first. And then they got hot. And they're cool. And my nieces and all of our friends in high school. I think they're such a good kid's shoe. Yeah. They're comfortable.
1:09:50They're easy to put on. and they're weird looking in like a kiddie way. Yeah. That works. You put them in a sport mode like that or what? Oh, for sure. Put them in the sport mode. What are we looking at right now? They were made famous partially in the movie Idiocracy. No way. That's their first appearance ever. Whoa. Yeah. What if Crocs were kind of like Harambe where they changed the timeline? Like when we started wearing Crocs, that's when we started turning into the Idiocracy. Kony 2012. Wait, what's the Harambe connection? Because people said that when they killed Harambe in 2015, that's what started.
1:10:25It was an incursion point. Yeah, an incursion point. Like, Trump got elected immediately after that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. COVID-19 happened. Yeah. You can trace it all back to Harambe. Damn. And that is it for WeNews.
1:10:39Let's talk about a few more Super Chats. We're running late, but we'll hang out for a second. I know a year wrong that I fucked up on that isn't even in the year wrongs, but... Miyazaki did work on Sekiro. Which I didn't know that because I, whenever Armored Core 6 is coming out, the whole, a lot of the marketing was, that's the Sekiro team that's working on Armored Core. He was one of the directors. And so like, I always thought that that was like something he produced and like kind of looked over, but wasn't like one of his main things. That's really. But then when Armored Core 6 came out, he gave away like, you know, he had somebody else.
1:11:19did it kind of hopped in or whatever but i always thought it was just like that's the sekuro team that worked on armored core 6 the souls and team you know souls team works on elden ring after dark souls 3 or whatever you know i went down the deepest rabbit hole as you were talking because i started looking up so how quick how much time did you have i was talking for like 20 seconds i was in it like five different videos god damn i'm a fucking i'm great at this shit Yeah, Masaru Yamamura is the person who directed Armored Core. And yeah, Miyazaki did that, did Sekiro. And I'm looking, I'm on Masaru Yamamura's IMDB right now.
1:11:56And it looks like his first game as a director was Armored Core. I want to see him cook more. Six? Six. Okay. Six. Armored Core six. So the most recent game. Hey, when's your next game? I want to, I'll play your next game. Just announce it. We're a thousand percent getting another Armored Core. I hope so like there's like it's sold too well to ignore it but then I say that say the same thing and like what's selling well for FromSoft you know what I mean I say the same I say that and then I go where the fuck is Sekiro 2 where's Sekiro 2 like where or something of that lineage you know man I love that this is the FromSoft episode I mean that's what happens when you put me and you on there dude Aetheram for real dude like fire's a fucking Rubicon like god damn what a game you gonna play Ace Combat bet i want to i think that'll scratch that itch a little bit for armored core i like the the the anime aspect of it all yeah um let's see gerardo is cool says what's popping y 'all happy hump day i'll be there thursday for top 100 want any mexican snacks coming from san diego um
1:13:07no i'm good okay i kind of get all you know tamarindo and stuff on my own back home i'm gonna rapid fire some of these not calvin ferez says barely snagged a tuesday ticket but see y 'all there hell yeah the portland kevin says to rock to scorpion missile launcher three shot burst talk about an underrated okay okay hater john says bless with your recent volleyball triumph i can't recommend haikyuu enough it's a volleyball anime with great characters and moments that'll make you jump out of your seat like your team won a chip uh i started haikyuu i need to get back to it but i put it on for a night watched like three or four episodes thought it was cool cool um he'll i was gonna say cute cool is a better word but uh i want to get back to it at some point when i'm craving when i'm craving an anime because i just put them on like jujujutsu kaisen started watching also oh but it's hard i'm not anime isn't sticky with me anymore i don't know if i just got older or what happened but is it because you'd rather be playing games no because live action stuff doesn't have that okay like i forget what i just watched but like i'll watch I'll put on something that's live action and like I'll be fully locked in.
1:14:11Anime for some reason just isn't. What about animated stuff? Like Invincible. Invincible keeps me in. Okay. Invincible definitely keeps me in. But like, what was it called? Oh, Arcane. Arcane weirdly enough wasn't sticky for me and I know it's good. So, put your hit or miss. I'm JustAbilly6660 says, Hi, Bless. Today I discovered there is a Jaluf Festival in Oakland this Saturday. Also, all the tickets sold out to KF100. What the fuck? And I'm a local. Where do people even buy tickets? I believe Patreon. But it was, like, available for everybody. It was an Eventbrite website. It was an Eventbrite website.
1:14:49Thank you for telling me about the Jaluf Festival. I'm going to add that to my calendar because that would be cool to go. And then one more person is going to be lucky for me to read theirs. Kingvin92 says, Birthday tax, Big 34. Sadly, can't go to a live event because I start school the week prior to move from the film industry to the medical industry, but so happy for everyone who's going. I'll be there in spirit.
