In short
Kinda Funny Games Daily episode focused on Game Awards 2025 nominee predictions, especially the likely Game of the Year top six, plus brief discussion of other upcoming shows (Metroid Prime 4 preview, Call of Duty Black Ops 7, etc.).
Guests/backgrounds
Hosts are Andy and Snow Bike Mike (no other guests appear in this transcript segment). Mike is a regular co-host and discusses personal viewing/playing habits (e.g., Nirvana: The Band the Show movie; Metroid Prime Remastered; recent bad/good movies).
Key claims
- Game Awards nominations drop this Monday (time given: noon ET / 9am PT).
- “Locks” for Game of the Year top six: Hades 2, Expedition 33, Hollow Knight Silksong, Donkey Kong Bonanza, plus two sequels they argue will fill the remaining slots: Death Stranding 2 and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
- They argue recency/timing and cutoff rules likely exclude Dispatch and Blueprints; Split Fiction also likely misses due to “not enough buzz” and “been there done that.”
- They debate whether Ark Raiders misses due to cutoff/timing.
Notable examples
- Metacritic/OpenCritic top-score lists used to justify picks (e.g., Hades 2, Expedition 33, Silksong, Donkey Kong Bonanza).
- Mentions of other candidates/categories: Mario Kart World (music/art direction talk), Battlefield 6 (audio/action), Ghost of Yote (genre lock), and possible narrative winners (Expedition 33 vs Kingdom Come Deliverance 2).

2:30Do you feel it? I'm looking right at you. You nailed that cold open. Thanks, Doc. You brought a little pizzazz, a little flavor to it. Come on. I felt it, Andy. Thanks, big Doc. Thank you, homie. And just so everybody knows, behind the camera, they didn't see it, but you were in pain earlier. Oh, I'm dealing with it. Looking at you is in pain. Looking at you causes me, like, not the insult. Like, I'm not like. It's not me. It's turning to my left. Thank you. That's causing me the pain right now. Let's make sure to clear that up. He loves me. Yeah. Well, you know, sometimes, sometimes. Welcome to God of Buddy Games Daily for Friday, November 13th.
3:08Wow, Friday the 14th. Unlucky. 14th. Watch out. Be careful, everybody. Be careful. I am Andy, and I'm joined by Snow Bike Mike. How the hell are you this morning, Mike? I'm good, Andy. I'm feeling good. Happy Friday to you. Watched another bad movie last night. Actually, this one was pretty good. watched Playdate last night, two nights ago with Nick. Playdate, remind me. Thad Castle, a.k.a. Alan Richardson. How do we say that? Oh, yeah. It's not Rickman. Yeah, and I like to say Richardson, but I know it's not. But we love that big guy, right? You know what I mean? Playdate, Kevin James and Alan, not good.
3:45Oh, no. I laughed at the first 15 to 20 minutes. The next hour, not that good. Usually Kevin James is like box office gold, you know? Like everything he touches. Have you seen his TikTok lately? No, I don't. Okay. Didn't know he had one. He's getting real method acting all of a sudden. I don't know what's happening. There's a manual scroll, and all of a sudden, it's clearly Kevin James. But he's like, hey, what's up, everybody? This is Ted Thornton. I'm your art teacher. I'm this elementary school art teacher. Yeah, he's doing that. But the whole profile's changed to this. Oh. And everyone is like, I like fourth grade art teaching.
4:20I don't like kindergarten art teaching. It's like, is he trying to hit me with the Ted Lasso here from Jason Sudeikis? But he's really method acting in it. Is he prepping you for the next Netflix? Like, you know what I mean? Maybe he's kind of getting you in the mindset right there. Well, that's unfortunate that you watch a crappy movie. I watched an amazing movie last night. Nirvana, the band, the show, the movie. Yes. A long time coming. Holy cow. What a great time. Went to the draft house, which I haven't been to in several years. um i didn't go with roger but roger and leanza were there they were at i didn't know he was even going until he told me he got tickets for it you fibbing well no no i i i i we didn't coordinate getting tickets i didn't know he was into nirvana the band the show which is a fantastic canadian uh comedy duo that uh you know has trouble getting shows here in kind of getting their shows out here in America because of like a lot of copyright law and a lot of their bits have to do with like using the Star Wars theme music and stuff like that so um they they came out with their movie last night uh they've been kind of doing a tour and so the whole time I whenever there was a funny moment in the movie I'm cracking up so is the audience but I also hear Roger off on the other side of the of the theater doing his giggle giggling which is just you know it was a great you know it's a good job it was a great time you know what we get tonight your boy Vince Gilligan is back.
5:48Episode 3. You gonna keep up with this? How'd you feel? Oh yeah. Because that first episode was a little freaky. I loved it. A little freaky. I was worried for you. I loved the first episode. The second one less so, but still in. Different vibe. I like that it was a hard left turn on that one. Yeah, yeah. Different vibe for sure. But you know, super stoked for episode 3, of course. 7:16By the way, I got the magnet ball. The little magnet ball where you kind of like stick onto the wall through the little tracks. What a good game. What a good game. The stream afterwards is Call of Duty Black Ops 7. You stoked for this, Mike? Call of Duty Day. Yeah, I'm very stoked for this. We've had the big two already dropped. Now here comes number three. And I'm excited to see which one I love out of the three of them. But for me, I'm having so much fun, right? Jumping from battlefield to arc raiders now with call of duty i'm uh just living it up hell yeah and don't forget before that is another episode of kind of funny game showdown oh shoot yeah game showdown is right before that everybody gets stoked for that one because i'm back baby and also i saw what happened at the end of the last episode is very a lot of stuff happening a lot of stuff happening there was a reddit post there was a reddit post there was a it was made right documents were made was made right people documented the journey uh if you're kind of funny member you can get today's Gregway.
8:10It's 15 minutes of Greg pledging his allegiance to Ethan Hawke. Oh, the Hawkman. Yeah. Cool. Hawk talk. 9:00Pacific time, 5 p.m. Greenwich Mean Time. Nice. Nailed it. I nailed that, right? Might be Greenwich Mean Time. No, I think you're right. when I read the Greenwich, I think of a sandwich. It just reminds me of a sandwich or something, but it's also one of those things that's pronounced. It's spelled green, which, right? But you say Greenwich. Let me know in the comments down below. Actually, super chat in your answers. Don't you're wrong. That super chat that, but also get us in your super chat. So we can read what your predictions will be for the go to nominee. Because yes, every year, Mike, it's six.
9:35They give us six, right? Six and five, six and five is right. six is game of the year six is well yes game direction five is everything else six is game of the year and i can't think of any other year that could use more of a of an expansion on the six wow i think you start to muddy what would you open it up to i think it's um uh you know 12 you know like you know or or 15 too many yeah i think 15 would be great just like ours will be 15 is going to be good game of the year. I can't wait for that, Mike. So, you know, six and five, six and five, right? Game of the year is obviously the one that everybody looks at the most.
10:14Yes. When it's all said and done, what do you think the six game of the year nominees will be, Mike? Can we play a game? Sure. I brought you a game. If the season ended today, Andy. Of course, the season has ended today. Right. Nominees. Yeah. But I want to take you to Metacritic and OpenCritic. Okay, please do. Where I've brought up the highest review scores of the year on both OpenCritic and Metacritic. And I want to give you the top six to kind of see if we were going off of those two judges there, what would be in and what would be out. Man, that's what my neck is killing me. Over on Metacritic right now, we ignore The Legend of Zelda.
10:52It's got to switch two ports and somehow it's holding down the top spot on both of these. So we're just going to look past that one. Tears of the Kingdom? Tears of the Kingdom. and the other one are home that one to five. Pretty good games. We'll ignore that. We start off with Metacritic. The top six would be Hades 2, Expedition 33, Blueprints, Split Fiction, Donkey Kong Bonanza, Hollow Knight Silksong. On the outside looking in would be Dispatch, Despolote, and the Talos Principle following up with the seance of Blake Manor. Blake Manor. Thank you. now how you nailed that word seance by the way good shit big dunce now the next one that would be your top 6 on Metacritic your top 6 here on Open Critic would be the following Hades 2, Expedition 33 The Seance of Blake Manor Donkey Kong Bonanza Hollow Knight Silksong and Split Fiction On the Outside Looking In Dispatch Once Again Trails in the Sky First Chapter and Blue Prince Split Fiction doesn't make the list Now you'll notice there are a lot of games here Because the chat is going to explode With some of their favorite games We're going to talk about here on the panel Our favorite games are games that we think Will be nominated in this big six But you'll notice from just Metacritic and OpenCritic There are a lot of games that you would think In the mainstream are on the outside Looking in right now Okay so I can see a future I could see in my mind's eye Doctor Strange Oh it hurts my neck That wasn't a good idea Just give me the one It's not even my neck barrier There's just something going up And it was that It was that little teenage girl That gave me a fender bender in my car I told you You gotta pursue that bro It could change your life I did get the 500 bucks back The deductible You need to check on yourself physically I once got hit by a car in high school And I didn't pursue that And now my back's all fucked up See and you're gonna have Now we're gonna send you to the chiropractor He's gonna put your neck in that weird rope thing And he's gonna yank you And we all know that doesn't look safe That doesn't look safe It rarely does I worry everyone that this could be the one I see a death on TikTok This could be the one Okay so I could see in my mind's eye In the one scenario a world where split fiction does not make this list and dispatch just on the outside looking in because of its release schedule and because of when these votes were submitted now and that's going to drive people nuts yeah people are going to get really upset about dispatch but i think just because of the deadlines and the way that released and not giving reviewers the full season at the start like is going to hurt it in the award season yeah for game awards you're saying dispatch out.
13:55Dispatch out. I agree with that. The full game was not out. I think timing wise, if you're looking at nominations, him bringing them all in like Barrett does, trying to add them all up, I think Dispatch is out. I think we just missed the cutoff here by just a little bit. So I think you can assume Dispatch out. Does Dispatch? Spatch Fiction, interesting that you're calling that one out. You know, he's coming back off of the past two titles. They've got a lot of love over there at Hazelight Studios. I feel like Split Fiction is out of my mind just because I'm not getting enough buzz right now from it.
14:25I feel like people played it. It kind of came and went. It doesn't feel like it has the staying power like the last two. But I could be wrong. But it is odd that I'm not feeling the buzz right now from this one. I think it all comes down to recency. And that's, it's an unfortunate thing. But with all of the, you know, the larger internet saying Ark Raiders needs to get like a lot of nomination love. i think back to you know a couple years ago we're like if you held divers comes out near the end of the year there would have been way more hype for that there would have been way more hype for monster hunter wilds if monster hunter wilds came out a month and a half ago or something like that really because i feel like counterpoint right uh especially in the case of wilds i feel like once people were hitting the end game of wilds which was like a couple weeks in people were already kind of on the downward trajectory of like okay this is this is good we're having a really fun time but it's not monster hunter world maybe maybe and i would three weeks later i would also argue that like um you know clear obscure expedition 33 also came out very early in the year right that was march or april yes march and so like that game has continued to be talked about by so many people throughout the entirety of this year whereas i think if split fiction really had that sauce people would still be talking about it and i think it i think it's a great game i think it's a fun time but i just don't think it's memorable in that conversation i think that if it takes two never existed and this was the first thing that we had seen of it yeah then we'd be like holy shit split fiction that gets talked about for the rest of the year i think like i but because we had already seen another amazing game that they put out okay that reviewed really really well with it takes two and then this being the next effort because it was sort of been there done that now that sounds so negative but it's good but you know what's happening behind the scenes right they're doing some technical magic there that not many other teams are doing right remember that Andy it's like it's crazy that yeah we kind of been there done that but we kind of forget that it's like oh man that team over there at Hazelight is like making something that is not being really seen in the industry right now where it's two players playing at the same time on the same screen, figuring out everything that's happening.
16:49Like, no one's doing that. Technical stuff, yes, but in terms of, like, at the end of the day, what that, you know, piece of art is doing, I just don't think is very memorable. And I do think in terms of what they're pushing technology-wise in terms to, like, boost what they're trying to do with the art, I don't think they go nearly as far as they should throughout that entire game until the very last level. Wow. The way that the game came out to just staggering reviews, like still like a very, very high, what is it, 80? 91 on Metacritic right here and 91 on OpenCritic. I think that game suffers from the recency bias.
17:32I think we have that honeymoon period with the video game that if it came out maybe a couple of weeks ago, right before the voting was up. It would still be hot. I think it still would have been sort of hot, but Exposition 33, I think the reason why that one, that game just sort of lasts the whole year because of it having so much staying power, because of it not only hitting gameplay-wise, but also hitting story-wise and blowing people away with really big sort of memorable narrative moments. So let's do, give me the locks, because I've seen the audience here. They've given me a couple of like, hey, here are the three locks, right?
18:12And it seems to be a lot of people are believing in Expedition 33, Hades 2, and they're bringing up Donkey Kong. Now, I want to throw in Hollow Knight as a possible lock there for a four spot. Do we feel confident with Donkey Kong making this list? Yes, only because there was a year that Super Mario Bros. Wonder made the list, and I don't think it should have been there. Yeah, what year was that? That was two years ago. Are you saying there's a Nintendo tax? There's that. I think so. But I also think that when Bonanza, you know, when Bonanza is released, it is thought of way more highly in a critical form than Super Mario Bros.
18:57Wonder. Yeah. Like this. That was their big title. Bonanza coming out, blowing the minds of everybody, I think counts for a lot more. and granted the year that Super Mario Bros. Wonder made that top six, I think that wasn't as strong as this year. I think Bonanza still makes the list. Okay. I don't think. So that's your top four right there. I have a super chat here from Lucid Dream who says Expedition 33. Blueprints, which I don't think makes the list. Sadly, no. It should be. I don't think it has the numbers. No. Wow. 92 on Metacritic. Yeah. but you're talking about like again this is the difference of like what review like what games get for review scores and then the entire or like a majority of the video game media industry coming together where it's like for some of these games that get reviewed usually sometimes by the end of the or not usually but sometimes by the end of the year that person who reviewed it is probably still the only person who's played it at that outlet right and so you have or that person And Ravita's been laid off, sadly.
20:04Yeah, exactly. That's a real reality. I just think that's not fully the case with Blueprints, but I do think it has a little bit of that effect. I think Blueprints suffers from the split fiction of it's kind of been there, done that, and we've almost forgotten about it. Because that month and a half, people were hot on that. Yeah. They were in their notebooks. They were comparing notes. They were talking about, did you get to room 47? Did you get to this room? Did you check out what's behind that? It was red hot. I wonder if that comes out in October. Do we have a different conversation? I think they're still talking about it.
20:36I also think there have been bigger indie games that, that got the goatee snub in the past. And I just don't, and I'm talking more from a numbers perspective. Like I, I in the past, I think my brain would have told myself blueprints makes the list because these are the critics that are voting this in. but that has kind of fucked me over in past predictions where i always think that like well yeah look on twitter look at all of our colleagues everybody talking about blueprints and it's like but that is still it you're getting a pocket of the entire industry and also another point is and i just looked this up just to make sure uh as a reminder blueprints isn't localized for outside of the u.s essentially so like all of those international outlets who are uh probably like a part of the judge jury fucking whatever word it is execution um yeah uh probably have not played it and so that's going to be a big ding for blueprints in terms of uh game of the year and possibly even other awards that's a that's a massive call right there um more let's see you got my top four right now we have our our four locks we're calling it right now what what are they again four locks right now hades 2 hollow knight silksong expedition 33 Donkey Kong Bonanza is what we have worked out at this panel right now to be the four locks as we continue to go down split fiction has been taken off the list dispatch has been taken off the list blueprints has now been taken off we've been yeah yanking those off the list and right now what I want to I want to add one to the list we're talking about bumps Nintendo gets a Nintendo bump you know who else gets a bump bump Hideo Kojima Death Stranding 2 on the beach well that was going to be my my verses up in the sky it's either going to be it'll be kingdom come deliverance or death stranding and not both wow okay kingdom come is going to be let's start talking about who's on the outside looking in really quick because you bring up some names and there's a lot of names now death stranding monster hunter kingdom come deliverance 2 you have games like sword of the sea here you have abs absolume i'm trying to find some other like larger titles Ghost of Yote in the mix here.
22:49So there's just like, I'm trying to throw some bigger titles at you. Ghost of Yote, I think, has a similar problem to Spider-Man. Spider-Man as well. But Spider-Man did get nominated that year as well. But I do wonder in terms of Yote being so similar to its predecessor, Split-Fiction also being very similar to its predecessor, if that really stands out for people to vote for. For Ghost of Yote. Yeah. Andy, where's Ghost of Yote for you? Ghost of Yote. You can pull out the list here. I don't think Ghost of Yote makes the top six. I think Ghost of Yote is an easy lock for action adventure. Okay.
23:26Whatever the hell you want to call it. Okay. RPG. I don't know what you would. Probably action adventure. We might be overthinking it, though, because we also have to think about what most people have played. And, like, Yote is definitely one where I feel like most of the industry has played. You know? That is a great call. It could have the same effect of the kind of funny game of the year noms where it's which ones, which outlets would have touched this game the most and thought most of it. You know. Okay. So you go back to Death Stranding, Kingdom Come Deliverance. You have a game like Ark Raiders that has all the buzz right now.
24:10A Battlefield 6. Ark Raiders did not meet the cutoff. Doesn't meet the cutoff. No. recent too recent to have Jeff Keighley except all the nominations bring out the numbers. Our graders is not on this list. Our graders will be like the fan vote thing or whatever, but I, it didn't make the list quickly enough. Like it, I don't remember when the cutoff was, but we weren't in the throes of like our graders is the hottest thing ever. I don't know if it had even officially come out yet. Like we'd done all the betas and all that fun stuff, but I, I, yeah, I don't think it makes the list because of just the date cut off.
24:47So that means no sound, best sound design as well. Unfortunate. Damn. I liked that. Okay. So Ark Raider's out due to timing, Chad. That's what we're putting it as. Due to timing, it's out. Well, you still continue. You haven't made arguments why Death Stranding and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 aren't consolidifying our top six. Why do you think they won't both be there? Like, as of right now, I just changed my mind on that. they do both yeah because i think those fill out the the last two outside of our four locks yeah yeah just based on everything else i don't see those seem like the final two lock mario kart world no right i'm trying to give you some other larger titles that came mario kart world will be best family game yeah best racing game best sports game whatever you know no it shouldn't it shouldn't be nominated for that either okay but best family game sure no silent hill f doom the dark ages the altars luminous damn uh luminous too late because that like we that just came out this week that's out um i see the i see doom the dark ages best action game yeah i see the altars as best narrative maybe something like that you know uh but i don't would that count as like a sim type of thing?
26:08What would you... What genre category? Is that a strategy game? It's like a sim strategy game. Maybe that. What was the other one you listed, Mike? Silent Hill F? I think... No. Maybe narrative or something, but I don't... I don't know. I have a super chat here from JB Bonifacio, who says Expedition 33, Hades 2, Silksong, DK Bonanza, Dispatch and Arc Raiders getting the goatee knobs on Monday. Sorry to Yotei DS2. kingdom come blimberants 2 and blueprints well i'd have to disagree i that there's a chance that arc raiders sneaks in somehow with the dates and stuff because maybe because of all of the the different betas and and does jeff tweet out hey this is the date that no no and we're not supposed to say what the date is he doesn't give a date yeah there is a deadline at some point we're instructed to not like talk about that shit but it's like yeah there i don't think it makes it i don't know there weren't any major reviews out i don't think so okay for when that was coming out but i also again disagree with dispatch i don't think dispatch makes the the goatee list because i also just think timing earlier yeah yeah so like they have the exact same fours we all have nobody's nobody's agreeing on death stranding and kingdom come deliverance two and just saying those are the final two here's an interesting thing regarding dispatch lay it on us lay it on us the full game had not come out yeah however we had already seen great performances from people like laura bailey from people like aaron paul i could see that do those make possibly other categories because that would be so funky because we might let them we might be late late window we might be in smash bros ultimate territory where it comes out too late to make that window i could see uh mike stick with me here i could see the mindset of like okay i don't know like i don't even know the date of what like when the nomination cutoffs are right but like you know we start getting access to dispatch what in early october and so around the time when it's time to start voting time to start like throwing stuff in for nominations you feel confident enough of like okay i've seen four episodes of this game and like these people are doing like great performances i I want to give them a shout, but there, I don't have the second half of the game, so I'm not confident in enough in it yet to nominate it for game.
28:32Whatever doesn't stick the landing. You don't know that. Yeah, exactly. I mean, that's not still shout out the performances. I feel like, I think that was all of our thought process. Like as when I'm kind of submitting stuff as to what I think should make it it's like, well, what if the final four episodes shit the bed? Do you know? Also I was watching you finish the game and then I asked you if it was a contender and then I had like six Twitch ads play. So I never got your answer, but is it a contender? I mean, I feel like I'm in that territory right now, Mike. I'm in that territory with Stu Gatz where every team is a top 10 team.
29:08And he has 18 teams in his top 10. And that's how I feel right now. Where it's like the contender is like, could it make the top 10 list? There's a game that we haven't talked about that's a contender for me. Elden Ring Nightmare. We haven't spoke about Elden Ring Nightmare. That'll be an action game. Is that not making top six? No. Best multiplayer game, best action game. Yeah. Easily. Easy locks. I could see. FromSoft. I could see not getting multiplayer. I could see best action, though. I get the FromSoft bump, but I think people, this being an inherently different experience from what people really love about FromSoft in our industry, I think a good majority of them played it for a little bit, enjoyed their time, but aren't thinking about it in the same way that a single-player mainline FromSoft game would be.
29:57Baby Steps? No. Ben and Foddy in the team? Best Silly Game. You know what I mean? Best Silly Game? How about Mega Bonk? Maybe an indie title, but that's early access as well. Okay. Like, until Jeff Keighley comes out with a Best Early Access Award, then I don't, you know, these categories are getting so hard to kind of differentiate. Liza P. DLC. I'm so heartbroken that, like, fucking... Blessing, I saw you in the chat. Get back to that, okay? Yeah, come on, Blessing. How about Digimon? Best RPG, possibly? So as of right now, no one has come up with a better contender than Death Stranding and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
30:42I think those are our two final locks. I think that's safe. It feels like I'm safe to say these are kind of funny's guess and prediction for the top six that will be nominated on Monday. All Night Silk Song. Hades 2. Hades 2. Death Stranding 2. Death Stranding 2. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. A lot of sequels. Expedition 33. Yeah. And Donkey Kong Bonanza. Yeah. Those are the kind of funny. We have broken it down. We think that these will be the nominated six. Yeah. I like it. I'm feeling so confident with that right now. Like, I'm feeling. Should we keep to bet the world right now?
31:18Should we call a Vegas and hit the bet right now? Yeah. Yeah, let's hit up the MGM Grand, see where they're at. Unless someone has a better one than that, I feel like those, due to timing and feel, those feel like some good locks right there. Barrett, hit the pizza bet. Hit the pizza bet. Oh, damn, what happened? Oh, shit. I lost the other pizza bet that I wrote with Roger. How? You put it in your notes, Ed. I know, but it disappeared here. I don't know why it did that. Pizza bet. Hades 2. Silk Song. Game of Cubs Deliverance 2. Death Stranding 2. DK Bonanza. And then, what was the other one? Hades 2.
32:03Death Stranding 2. Hollow Knight. Yeah. Game of Cubs Deliverance 2. Expedition 33. Expedition 33. Now, to make it interesting, are you going to go with that lock? That's my last lock. Okay, so on the opposite side, to make it a pizza bet, But I will say that split fiction and or blueprints will slide in as one of those spots to make it an official pizza bet where two people are against each other. Okay. I like that. Just to make it fun. Okay. Oh, man. The typos on this are staggering. We got Pretty Dude with a$2 super chat says, Uma Musume for best mobile game. Locking it in. Oh, snap. Oh, snap.
32:43That's a game. Really changed the world. moment. Mike, did you know that that had an anime? No, but I will watch that anime. It's on Crunchyroll. I had it suggested to me the other day. I'm telling you, I had three nights of just sweating bullets because I was betting heavy on that. Samson L with a$2 Superjet says, for your consideration, Peak and Repo. I see those in indie game. I see those in multiplayer. I see that definitely going to be something special. What I'd like to see from the industry at large to make right with what they did wrong last year. EA Sports college football must be nominated, if not win.
33:19Last year was not nominated. That's crazy. After returning from a 10-plus year hiatus and taking over the world, not nominated. And then on top of that, EA Sports FC won. The game that we criticize having bad monetization techniques, the same slap every single year. It's international. It's international. They don't got American colleges out there. I need all of my best friends out in Britain. Just start playing college football. You're going to love it. It's a great game. You think people in Spain give a damn about the Crimson Tide? They better learn about them. Yeah, Blessing says it. Like, it's such an American game, and it's an international panel.
33:58People in Italy, Mike, don't care about the Arkansas Razorbacks. Where's Lane Giffen going this year? We got a super chat from Arturo Chonrova, a bartender, who says, Andy, why are you so dope? Mike, why are you? damn thank you just so i have no answer for you unfortunately thank you homie uh we have a super chat from mellow fellow says even though i don't agree i can see peak being nominated i think that held a lot of the you know the streamer guys the talker side too yeah and less so of like the industry like media coverage side you know yeah uh do you think dispatch gets in any category from a$10 super chat from Dose of Nostalgia.
34:44We just mentioned it earlier. I'm sure you were watching, but this was a super chat of this in a bit earlier. Yeah, I think it makes we maybe get some voice actor nods. Maybe because of the dispatching. I know it's very thin, and it's very, but I enjoy it. But like, maybe? No, I don't think so. Can I give you some of the categories, just to remind you of some of the categories? Right, because we've got a long list here that we'll go through on Monday, right? You have game of the year that we just talked about. We have best game direction. That's also a six-team category as well. We have best narrative, best art direction, best score and music, best audio design, best performance, innovation and accessibility, games for impact, best ongoing game, best indie game, best debut indie game, best mobile game, best VR, AR, Best Action, Best Action and Adventure Game, Best RPG.
35:41Those are three different categories right there. So we got a lot going on here. Also one, Best Adaptation. Last year it was Fallout. This year, what will it be? Who said Metal? Splinter Cell? Oh! Possibly Splinter Cell. Maybe it's a little too late. That was pretty recent. Yeah, I don't really know what else. What else has come out? Yeah. Was Last of Us a new season at all? Oh yeah, that was this year. Oh, Last of Us will definitely, yeah. a new season this year yeah yeah and i didn't watch all of it i feel like the reaction to that was a lot of eminent hawing yeah but it's also like there's not much else yeah like or else you know we're not gonna settle for three nominees you know i'd like to make a case really quick for one more category okay best esports athlete last year faker one of league of legends fame I would like to see Faker run it back one more time because he did just go back to back to back world finals champions.

42:55Yeah. Like, best narrative I think will ultimately go to either Expedition 33 or Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Man, I'm riding the high on that one. But you need a nomination, at least, is what you're saying. Yes. I need it to be in the nomination. I need to see the image, the thumbnail, just to make my heart feel good. Andy, just for our stuff, kind of funny game of the year, all this stuff. Ignore the Game Awards for a second. How long is Citizen Sleeper 2? How long did it take you to get through a full playthrough? I think like 13 hours, 12 hours, something like that. Oh, wow. If the next couple of weeks for me go well in terms of beating games.
43:36Just life. In life, in completing so many games, I want to try to commit to Citizen Sleeper 2 as my over-the-break game. I love that. I like that. What's your over-the-break game? my over the break game honestly might have to become ghost of yote wow because i have a ps5 back at my parents place in texas that i might that you know that's where i essentially i ended up finally beating stellar blade last year you know what i mean so i when i think at your parents house wow it was a it was a yeah it was a little sketchy a little sketchy parents walking by just you know when you were playing stellar blade and things are just moving all over the place you know um best art direction what are we thinking because i'm looking at hades 2 i'm looking at clear obscure expedition 33 i'm looking at silk song and maybe something kind of under the radar like absolume oh i would love absolume i don't feel like enough people have played and talked about it to nominate it i don't know like that nintendo bump i don't know like it's just fun it's colorful it's animated i feel like when people talked about the art direction though it was only because of the last level and how disturbingly yellow it is to a point that it like hurts to look at that's the only time i've heard people talk about like the art direction of that game that stranding 2 definitely hits it yeah that's right i'm curious about expedition 33 because i do think the that being because that's unreal engine 5 right yes um that being one of these early Unreal Engine 5, all of those games have a particular look to them that isn't the cleanest.
45:20I do wonder if that hurts it a little bit. Can I give you last year's best art direction to kind of give you the vibe of what they're looking at here? Metaphor, Astro Bot, Black Myth Wukong, Elden Ring Shadow of the Earth Tree, and Neva. Does Night Rain make the list? So kind of shooting you all over the place of different art styles and direction there. You could really kind of go anywhere with this one. Maybe Night Rain makes it. on art direction. Yeah, just thinking about, like, the way the bosses look whenever you walk in. Remember that final boss, Mike, with the crazy sky changes? Like, holy shit.
45:55They were a goat man. Remember the goat man? They're doing some awesome shit there. Art direction chat has reminded me of South of Midnight, I could see. Ooh, that's a great call. And that also reminds me of Keeper. Oh, and then another one, that claymation game that came out. Remember that one? Oh, the one Tim was excited for. The Midnight Walk or Midnight? something yes um best score in music i think this is going to be the the craziest one right here this is going to be a real packed one because expedition 33 i think is the heavy favorite i think silksong but i think silksong could take it oh man silksong's fucking sound and i think that would i i think that'll people will look at that as like the largest snub of the night okay of like experts 30 you're getting fucked over here now here's a cheat code for me Mario Kart world has every song available.
46:45And I do love that. It is hard to be not to smile when I play that. Dude, you're so right. It's a cheat code. No, I mean, it really isn't because of the level of work that was done to do these full instrumentations and orchestrated kind of ensemble pieces to like, hey, that old Mario song you have, now it's like a 70-piece orchestra with an awesome jazz drummer. I mean, that's a great call. A lot of work was put into that. Damn, okay. So now we got something like best action game. Yeah, now you start to blur the lines when we start to do RPG, action adventure, action game. We start to see a lot of shared game qualities in this one, right?
47:31What is the just defined action game to you, right? A focus on combat. Yes. Like, maybe it has some other things, but the focus is the combat. And to me, it won't get nominated, but it should be Shinobi Art of Vengeance as one of the easy noms for that. Great, Paul. Do you think, I mean, I don't think it would be too weird for that to get nominated, though. I don't feel like a lot of people talked about it. In terms of teams wanting to spread love around, I think you always kind of have the indie titles that are also thrown into a lot of these larger categories. I could see that being nominated for something like Best Action.
48:12Now, here's a game that makes my ears bleed every time I play it, and I love it to death. Battlefield 6. The audio design in that game, the moment-to-moment wow factor of a helicopter crashing from overhead and then crashing in front of you, jet planes flying by you, just the screaming and the insanity that is the moment-to-moment. Are we talking about audio or action, though? I'm talking about action. Okay. I'm talking about action. Yeah, I mean. I'm in this shit when I'm playing that game. I don't think that's weird at all for something like Battlefield 6, for as large as it is, for that to be kind of going to the Ghost of Yote discussion or a point that Barrett was making earlier where a lot of outlets played that.
48:57A lot of outlets played Battlefield 6. Let me just remind you and the audience out there that was not what was nominated last year, right? Black Myth Wukong won. Call of Duty Black Ops 6 was nominated. Helldivers 2, Stellar Blade, and Warhammer Space Marine 2. A lot of shooting games in that mix right there, just so you're aware. Night Rain could be there. I could see it. I could see Night Rain there. I could see Doom the Dark Ages. That's a good pull. And a lot of that is the name, right? You know, kind of the most people would have played something like that. What about Liza P DLC? No. Does Liza P DLC get any love at all?
49:40No. Okay. Unfortunately. We have Roger. Until we get a best DLC category. Yeah. then like Liza P is a top five gaming experience for me all year. Wow. We have Roger's burner account in the chat that says pirate Yakuza. Shout out. Oh, right. That was, I see you over there. I'm looking at you. To go back to art direction, I think sort of the C, if I'm going to give that a nom, that would be the one thing. Shout out to that game. If you haven't played it, it's an enjoyable time. If you want a journey skateboard experience. Plus, you got the OEA Jr. in the YouTube chat says Ninja Gaiden 4 has a good shot at winning.
50:19Action. Action game, yeah. A lot of good action game. That's going to be a tough, that's going to be a tight one right there. It's crazy that Ninja Gaiden Ragebound can come out and not even be in the forefront. What a stacked year it's been. Best RPG, I think Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 wins that easily. I don't even want to look at the rest of them. you don't think expedition 33 has a shot at best rpg i think when we're talking what an rpg like i know what the category says it's like deep skill trees and shit but when i think of a role-playing game where you are making conscientious or conscious decisions and like role-playing as a person and deciding whether to do that mission deciding what are the like i I think Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is, at its core, more of an RPG game.
51:16I see what you're saying. I think Expedition 33 opened up so many more new people to the ins and outs of RPG mechanics in terms of turn-based RPGs and got people more into the nitty-gritty of min-maxing their party and all that stuff that I think people really fell in love with this year. which is why i think more people are going to think about expedition 33 at the top of their brains than kingdom come no outer worlds 2 avowed from obsidian outer worlds 2 will make the list i don't think about makes the list for best rpg okay okay yeah i don't i mean is that crazy i don't think outer worlds 2 i think was largely received a lot better right Can we give them workhorse studio of the year or just hardest working studio?
52:08Oh, man. Three games, one year? Or maybe it's just something that gets recognized. You know, like every year they have, when you go to these big award shows, Mike, they'll be like, you know, the something, something award. And they award it to like the most whatever. And like in past years, maybe Insomniac wins it because of like Spider-Man and Ratchet and Clank or whatever. But yeah, I think this year, if we were to give out the workhorse of the year. A little tip of the hat. El Caballo of the year. Like that horse was working. That goes to fucking Obsidian, dude. Really, really killing it. Someone in the chat was asking if there's any game from last year that got caught off from last year that has a chance for this year.
52:48The only game I can think of is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. But that is not on people's minds. The same way Smash Bros. like smash brothers i think is the only example we'll see of that level of a game coming out in december being too late for nominations and still being on people's minds a year later now the game that wins the fan vote arc raiders yes because they don't have a deadline to meet probably they don't miss the window there and it's probably just available yeah arc raiders or i could see dispatch dispatch has really been Taking over social media a lot. I'm in a weird spot right now with.
53:28Like debut indie and indie game of the year. Because what, you know, Hades two versus silksong is going to be a heavy expedition. 33. The most, and expedition there. They fuck that. I forgot that as well. Best and for best indie. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Cause they're not making debut indie. They had Hades one, right? No, that's not a expedition. 33 will expedition. Season 33 will get. Right? Best debut, for sure. Blueprints. Yeah. That team's in it, right? They're in the mix there. I think that's their, for sure. Them as that team, I think, is their first game, yeah. Holy shit, what a year. This seance of Blake Manor.
54:05I think it came out a little too late. Okay. Yeah. Ball Pit? Ball Pit will be there. Okay. Ball Pit will get some love. Ball Pit will definitely be in the nominations list. How about games like Schedule 1, Peak, Repo? are those getting any sort of love in this category i think something like peak will and that's it i don't see schedule one i don't see reap like i think a lot of that is flavor of the week okay i see peak as like nominated for best multiplayer game or something like that can i give you another one i could see peak on best indie game honestly i think with the i could see it then the units that it was selling i mean it's probably like 13 million sold now or something like that we definitely got to highlight some of these games because they're selling like crazy oh Oh, for sure.
54:51Yeah. Like you said, they might be the flavor of the week, but they are the talk of the town for about a month. So it's like, how do we highlight this? Because there are so few categories here and so many games to highlight, right? I think with something like Peak, Mike, it being the flavor of the week, the month, right? That had a long thing, but it was also a lot more recent in our memories where was Repo this year? It was last year, right? Repo was this year? No. I believe so. No, that was last year. You think? I'm pretty sure. I don't think so. but also a lot of these games blur together with me that I, I kind of forget.
55:25It was February, 2025. Fuck. Shut this year. Yeah. It started out the year. Yeah. Yeah. What? I don't tell you games. Like there's like an early access period for it. Oh, I'm thinking the one that came out last year, Mike, what's the video one where you take videos of each other. No, I'm not thinking of liners. I'm not thinking of content warning. I'm thinking of the one where, gosh, Chad, you know what I'm talking about, dude. Lethal Company. That's what I'm thinking of. What about Abiotic Factory? The Factor? What did you just say? Yeah, remember that one? So we got to get back to that one, dude.
56:01Because the love that that game is getting reviews-wise from people. It's got some gas. Like the homie, the 8-bit closed fist, the homie Co-Carnage, who says that this has easily the best level design in any multiplayer, open-world game, whatever you want to call it. Like, man, I really want to get back into Abiotic Factor. Can I give you a sleeper hit that could definitely be in the best indie conversation? It should be in the conversation, but it will probably, hopefully it makes its way into best sports game. Lonely Mountain Snow Riders from the team from Lonely Mountain Downhill. They made a skiing game that was very, very good.
56:3987 on Metacritic. A lot of fun with friends. This is one of those titles, I think, because it's skiing, right? You're talking about an extreme sport, a winter sport that not many people do. Maybe they didn't try this. This is a fun game. When was this? Lonely mountain skiing? Yeah. Let me tell you. Definitely like earlier in the year, right? Snow Riders was, oh, it was 2024. It's out. It's out. Take it off the list. Well, it's October 3rd, so it's hitting that weird window. Yeah. You never know. One that I want to shout out for Indy that probably won't get it, but Blessing and I adore our time with Dead Take.
57:19I would love to see that get some love. Maybe performance. Maybe, but again, I don't know. I don't think nearly enough people in the industry played it to have it get enough votes for a nomination. StarCore with a super cat. Oh my. What about Dune? What about Dune? Dune was good. Dune didn't have the lasting staying power, but Dune knocked it out the park with the survival mixing with an MMO. That could be in like either I could not sim strategy but multiplayer game possibly. Does rematch make multiplayer or is it only sports? Probably only sports. Rematch gets a nom. How about this one? I could see it getting a nom only because of not a lot of other options like looking around the landscape and going what else is there let's get really real talking about games that missed the cutoff like Barrett brought up Marvel Rivals released December 6th my best friend Kevin A.
58:21Sext reminds me that's a game that's still hot had a big year will we recognize that enough people remember that it's exactly do we does Jeff Keighley have a problem where we forget that there's a window still open and there's games that are left in that window that they'll have to go to next year and we kind of forget about it. I would love to get that notification, that reminder. Like, hey, the cutoff last year was this year. These are the ones that missed out. Here's seven games that might have missed out. That would be a nice reminder because I feel like once the stuff comes in, he just like the ball plays where it lies kind of thing.
58:56Yeah. So if that doesn't get nominated, that's on us. That could easily be a conversation for Godey. No. Top six? No. Really? You're too strong. Not with the games that we talked about. Is that a multiplayer bias? No, I don't think so. I don't think so. I think it's because it does the Overwatch thing again. And Overwatch was a game that won Game of the Year the year that it came out, right? So I just don't think it's doing anything revolutionary in that way that would get a multiplayer game to be nominated for Game of the Year. Easily for Best Ongoing. I remember Overwatch won. Yeah. Game of the Year.
59:35But that was such a big pick. It takes two won Game of the Year as well. And this is another sort of been there, done that situations. Varam Dex with a$2 super chat says, I need Captain Sunburn nominated for content creator. Thank you. We really do. Varam Dex. Kingdom Hearts reference, right? I think it is, right? What do I always say? Varam Dex. What do you say it? I just tear it up. Yeah. If there's three letters in common, you just, you'll say it. Super Chat here from Clawmaster. $5 Super Chat says, I would throw Sonic Fox getting closer to passing the all-time grade of Justin Wong. And Evo wins with seven and counting for eSports Player of the Year.
1:00:16And also, it doesn't ever seem like Sonic Fox has real competition. That's also me being an out. It just feels like Sonic Fox is constantly winning. So, yeah, it's a good call. It's odd that I look at best eSport athlete last year. I don't see Sonic Fox on the list. So, it's like, are we giving Sonic Fox the flowers that they deserve? I don't know. serve where's it at i don't know that's a great question right there mike uh ava nuts with a five dollars super chat says oh asks who would win it if i had a grilled cheese or a taco oh that's a great call so the grilled cheese definitely really good armor on the outside with the toasted kind of toasted strong outside and then imagine it opens it up gets you in the gooey center but it depends on whether it's hard shell or soft shell taco also Because of your hard shell, you have an opening.
1:01:04You have a weak point with where the meat is. And you crack easily. Yeah. Stuff. But you could crack a piece of yourself off, use it as a weapon. Dagger. Oh, good point. I've definitely stabbed the shit out of my gum sometimes. I love crunchy taco. Jeff Reikling with the$2 Super Chat asks, How many knives for Ghost of Yote? Audio design? I think Ghost of Yote could be in audio, action adventure. Oh, one that we didn't really get to was like Game Direction, which is always like, it's just that's the game of the year. Yeah, that's the weird one is we kind of put best game direction. It's like album of the year record of the year type.
1:01:42Yeah, you kind of just get like second runner up. But Astro Bot won both last year. Here's what I would love for best game direction. I would love something like the altars to win. I want game direction to be something doing so wildly different than anything else. Like, I don't love that Astro Bot won last year in Game Direction because it's at its core. It's a 3D platformer. Like, I want innovation there in Game Direction. I think what won Astro Bot, won over the industry for Astro Bot getting Game Direction was, you know, the story of this team wanting to be small and not, and, like, seemingly being, like, a well-oiled machine in terms of, like, being lean, leaning into what they're passionate about and not spending years and years and years making one big project and like focusing in on like what they do well so i feel like that's why there's like a little bit of like why that got game direction was because of like just how well like managed that team is almost i think game direction i think in one game direction because in the sort of description for what it is you see uh innovations in technology used and when you're god dang little Astro Bot guy and you're running around a whole room full of like coins or anything and you feel them all vibrating and you hear them all it's like oh that's the tech innovation we needed right there but yeah I would love to see something like the alters I think Death Stranding 2 probably wins it that's a great call from some people in chat something Night Reign taking a single player focus game turning it into a multiplayer focus game maybe that takes some team dedication to kind of change that thought It's not a bad call.
1:03:24But yeah, I would love for Game Direction to be more of a closer to an innovation. I think the award needs to be, the name needs to be changed. And I think the What If focuses on needs to be changed. Because it feels like copying just the Oscars in terms of Best Director. Whereas Best Game Direction and Best Director, I don't think those are really the same things. their respective industries. Yeah. Barum Dex with a$5 super chat says, Mike, you can pronounce it however you want. I've accepted it. And yes, Andy, it is a Kingdom Hearts reference. I knew that. I knew that. How did I not know? I'm a Kingdom Hearts mega fan.
1:04:05I'll tell you how I knew because we were talking about Kingdom Hearts, whether it was going to be on the PlayStation, the Japan State of Play. Yes. And Barum Dex had left a super chat. but then we had also seen somebody mentioned varum decks like in another super chat about and i was like oh that's a i didn't realize that that's crazy pointing out it's because you haven't played kingdom hearts three yet mike ah that's it that's right that is definitely it i don't know about sex sexy wrexham sexy wrexham i don't know you got the guy's name already a lot of them ricky no the bad guy he'll come to me we'll get to it um Let's go to story number two.
1:04:50Yeah, let's tear through some of these stories. Well, we have one story left that I'm making an executive decision. Okay. We have one story left. Can we do that really quick super chat, though? Because I have a question. Oh, sure. Go ahead. No, can you read it? Oh, wait. Which super chat? Did you Slack me or something? No, it's the latest one. Oh. Buzzer. No, sorry. I saw another one asking for Mike to do something. Let's see here. Well, I see a lot of it. Oh, from Hello Jaime? Andy do you know about the six letters Guitar chords Dadgad Well Yeah like the tuning Learned about it last night that's all Well that's like a that's not traditional Tuning It's unlocking your guitar's full potential with dadgad Oh wow I bought a$60 guitar last night Really Holy shit It's blue How many times do you think he uses it Oh man I will say by this time next year, it doesn't know the status of it.
1:05:49Yeah. Doesn't know whether it's somewhere on the closet, under the bed. Can you break this guitar like Jeff, Jared did with Greg? Is it an acoustic or is it? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Well, you're going to have to understand that like it's going to probably be preset tuned to standard tuning. Well, dad got it. You don't know what that means. That's somebody who's never driven a car. He'll bring it to you and you'll dad get it. If someone who's never driven a car, ask about, like, do you drive standard automatic or manual? Like, well, I don't know. I've never driven a car. So, like, that's totally, yeah.
1:06:23Okay. Breaking news. Not really important, but just a fun thing. I'll be going to the Game Awards for the very first time next month. Breaking news! So, yeah, friends in L.A., hit me up. Hit them up. I want to see you. Let's go to story number two. Number two. That, again, making an executive decision, because I want to talk about another award show. Oh, wow. This year's Indie Game Awards nominees have officially been announced. This comes from Devin McClure at Polygon. The nominees for the second annual Indie Game Awards show were announced by 6-1 Indie Thursday, as well as the show's presenters and judges.
1:06:58Many of the heavy hitters of 2025, like Claire Obscure, Expedition 33, Hollow Knight, Soap Song, and Hades 2 have been nominated, as well as several what could be considered even Indier Indie titles. A full list of the Indie Game Awards nominees can be found on the website. The Game of the Year nominees go to Absalom and Roger, which really, really freaked me out. I'll never forget getting an email about Andy and Roger. I was like, why is Roger also in this email there? Citizen Sleeper 2, which would be my pick right there. Blueprints, Claire Obscura 3, Consume Me, Hades 2, Hollow Knight Silksong, Keep Driving, and Peepistrello and the Cursed Yo-Yo.
1:07:40A game I didn't beat. I played a lot of that. I like to keep driving a lot. I really enjoyed that game. I remember this. Yeah, great music there. One that's been left off the list that is high on the Metacritic, and we talked about it before this show. Despelote? Despelote was at the SF MoMA. Had a big moment there with the sports area. I am surprised not seeing it on there. I am committing myself to beating Despelote before the year ends. Okay. I have to. I'm making it a must. It's only two hours, and I want to support really, really small teams yeah um so yeah shout out to uh six one indie and the indie game awards we i'm personally rooting for citizen sleeper too because i think that's the best writing in gaming um and yeah there's a you know there's a lot of other stories we're skipping i'm sorry we're running very very late and there's a lot of other there's a lot of layoffs a lot of bad stuff happening in layoff ai call duty come on now call duty you pay those artists you're making a billion dollars a year pull it together call no the money needs to go to the executives mike it needs to go to the pop you know papa company microsoft mike the the stupid studio ghibli ai stuff is like i can't believe that made its way into i i want to hope that it's fake like i want to hope that it's like not a i'm hoping that we got like tricked we're getting deep faked yeah that it's like it's a fake article or something like that oh my gosh i'm to talk about Apple charging$230 for the iPhone sock.
1:09:10Just ridiculous. Looking like that thong. What are we doing? Yeah. What has this world come to? What are we doing? Over under on Tim Getty. Tim Getty is buying one of these. Apple trying to charge$230 for an iPhone sock. You buying it?
1:09:30I'm not helping. That would be... I can't help you. That would be a really, really big purchase, Mike. But I'm tired of all sorts of big stuff. If I wanted something smaller, say the tiniest news I need to know about, where would I go? You'd go to our last story, the Weed News channel where we cover all the small news items you need to know about. I'm not helping. Red Dead Redemption, including Undead Nightmare, has been confirmed for Xbox Series, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, along with Mobile for December 2nd. Go on back. I don't know if I want to. I've already been there, done that. I'm good. Maybe Undead Nightmare.
1:10:07Maybe for a fun October next year. But yeah, I'm good. Maybe. I really want... I would love for us to... For you and I to commit to this re-animal playthrough. I mean, I'm in. Blessing really wants to do it with you, but I'll play it with you. He and I already have a Thanksgiving. I know. He was just one of the few to be like, I'll take his spot. I want to play it. Commit to Blessing, and then you and Blessing become the new... No, because I would like to not... I mean, hey, I'll commit to this one and Blessing if I can get taken off the other one. No, you got to do both. He says, no, I don't, Mike, so he doesn't want to play it.
1:10:44I'm in then. I'll play it. I'd love to. Okay. We didn't play Little Nightmares 3. Take me off the other one. The other one's going to be exciting. Hi-Fi Rush publishing rights have been transferred to Crafton, the AI First publisher. Yeah, you saw that, right? Awesome. That's the tough part is you want to celebrate like nice. Hi-Fi Rush is still around. Like that team might be able to figure it out. Maybe we'll get somewhere. And then you read Kraft and you're like, ah, shit. The company that just said they're AI first. That's not where you want to be. I think it just shows the incompetence of Microsoft and Xbox as a team of like they fumbled that IP so bad and so hard that it's going to this AI first company.
1:11:24Like what the fuck are we doing? Solar Punk has been delayed to 2026. I don't know what this game is. I don't know that one, no. Vampire Survivors, but it's in virtual reality, is now available on MetaQuest 3. That's the name of the game. Vampire Survivors, but it's in virtual reality. And it's Vampire Survivors. That's lit. I mean, I gotta look this up. I gotta look this up. Yeah. Yeah. It's called Vampire Survivors, but it's in virtual reality. That's an amazing title. Like that's the subtitle on it. That's fantastic. Oh, so wow. It really kind of is like they're doing like a mega bonk type deal.
1:12:04Oh, no. They're changing the perspective. Oh, no. No. Well, yeah, kind of. Like you still kind of you're still on a like an isometric sort of plane, but it isometric might be a good word. So what's asymmetric? What's isometric? This looks pretty damn cool. This is awesome looking. Yeah. Very, very neat. That'll do it for WeNews. You ever strap on your headset lately? I know you don't feel it. I love strapping on the headset with the Xbox Game Pass and making the giant 70 inch screen and playing Game Pass via the cloud. I thought that was really fun. That's a good call. I should probably do something like that.
1:12:40And then you still have your room background, so you don't feel like you're truly in the virtual world, but you are, you know what I mean? I just need a... Pretty cool. I need to really, really head over to Tim's house, break in, take him, take his X-reels. Yeah. Or you and I, we buy each other X-reel glasses for each other for the holidays, but we don't tell each other, but secretly we know already and we both buy each other a pair. 500. Like, somehow I'd end up getting it on a discount and you would be paying almost double. I'll get it for you. You would be buying it, use one on Facebook Marketplace that was somehow more expensive and it's like three generations older.
1:13:16Let's get to You're Wrong or You Write Into KindofFunny.com slash You're Wrong. to tell us what we got wrong throughout the show. A whole lot of people, like, with their editorializing stuff, saying what deserves to be there. That's not what your wrong is for. You have six your wrongs. How many of them are about, no, my game should be, my favorite game should be nominated? Is it all six? Well, it's just like, Pirate Yakuza is, people are asking for pirate yakuza it's like well you don't that's not a you're wrong come on yeah that's a super chat yeah that's a super chat now here's a good you're wrong okay from katie g who is the stats master oh katie g the stats keeper write them down the keeper of the stats i picture her bear like uh like one of these old these old jedis with like the holocron and like all the info like they they they hold all of the libraries of texts and i i i picture her like Almost like in the sports coverage room.
1:14:24And she's got a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. And she's got the little golf pen and just writing all the time. I was in fantasy medieval. She has a feather. Dips it in the ink. And then she makes a decree. You know what I mean? Sends the raven to bite out. It's going down. I like that. She's somewhere in the middle of all of it. Yeah, I like that a lot. Katie G says, don't worry, Andy. I'm keeping track of pizza bets now. Parentheses. you bet Halo will launch at$49.99 FYI. That was the bet that I had against Roger. Ooh. I bet that Halo campaign involved would be 50. Yeah. Nice, Sandy. We also have a Miss We News from Kebabs who says, Concord is playable again thanks to its remaining fans setting up custom service to continue playing.
