Key claims
- Ghost of Yotei is Sony’s biggest first-party PlayStation launch in Europe since Spider-Man 2, debuting at #2 in GSD charts.

- Moonlighter 2 early playtest is accessible; combat and treasure-selling systems feel promising.
- Valor Mortis is a standout first-person Soulslike demo at Steam Next Fest.
- Scuff Valor Pro Wireless is praised for on-the-fly remapping and premium feel.
Notable examples

0:17Yo, what's up? Welcome to Kind of Funny Games Daily for Wednesday, October 15th, 2025. I want your host, Blessing, Adio Yejr. Joining me is the Nitro Rifle, Andy Cortez. good morning blessing adioye jr good morning andy cortez getting my drink on right now well not alcohol but you know what i mean just like kind of getting ready for the day yeah really pumped up i'm stoked about today i'm stoked that like i look at the calendar it's like i got some cool shows to be on and then just gaming oh gaming getting my gaming on for the rest of the afternoon uh because you know review season it's it is review season but in the air but you can you're sort of seeing the pollen kind of rising you're like oh it's almost over yeah you know what i mean you can kind of see through it a little bit but it is really really the storm though yeah right now where i think i am balancing what's going on with my laptop everything's opening yeah it looks like somebody's controlling it fucking spotify remote accessing you um i yeah i'm like reviewing slash trying to juggle maybe the most games i have tried to at once in my maybe my life right now where i got four games now that i'm reviewing i got a fifth one in hades 2 that i'm just playing i really just want to see the credits in hades 2 and also i just don't want to stop playing it so i keep going back to it but the more i play hades 2 the less i'm able to play other games i i had a magical moment yesterday where i beat one of the games i was reviewing oh and all of a sudden things started to get clear oh where i'm like i can see i can see the path to me actually beating these other games now it feels great I'm going to need you to slack me what the heck you beat.
1:52I'm excited about that. Oh, yeah. That's very cool. What you been playing? What are the names? Let's say the names. Breaking Bargo. Coward. Bitch. Well, it's not even the reviewed games, Buzz. It's like, you know, it's also Steam Next Fest. It is Steam Next Fest. And the lines have been huge, and it's been really hot out there, but everybody's hydrating. Everybody's super sweaty out there. Dancing in the Steam Next Fest. But my goodness, Valor Mortis. Phenomenal. How's that? That's the first person. Don't tell me what they made before. They made. You know what I mean. They made. Oh, you know. Valor Mortis.
2:29Not Witchfire. Not Mellow Hulsinger. What'd they make? Valor Mortis. Because that's the first person Souls-like game. It sure is, bless. Oh, tell me. You know. Ghostrunner. Ghostrunner. That's what it was. They made Ghostrunner. I was close. And I got to play the demo last week, which is up on steam right now steam next fest and it's awesome it is so cool it is freaky in the best ways and experience the first sort of major boss fight and it i saw the vision of oh okay if every boss is gonna kind of feel like this then this is gonna be a great experience because it was the telegraphed attacks it was you having to dodge the right moment the they do a really awesome thing where whenever an enemy is attacking you whenever it's like an unparable attack they do an awesome job of making it really easy to read where you as the player go oh shit that's like really really red or that's looks a certain way that i know i can't i gotta you know i gotta get the hell out of the way or i can't just block this i have to perfect period just really done a lot of cool stuff with like readability but the the boss fight had awesome telegraphed attacks and uh very freaky there was an enemy bless where the i was telling you and barrett last week where it's like a it's like a human that kind of just like walking around you're like oh it looks like a weird zombie dude and then it walks on all fours but backwards yeah like when you're doing that bridge stretch yeah when you're doing that bridge it walks like that and the back of its head is like the open mouth i haven't done one of those in a minute i need to try that felt really really good i need like a good stretch honestly horrifying this thing like would just chase you running like a human or running like a dog like on all fours but in the awful like i didn't if i did that right now would you be scared probably because it you i mentioned you specifically i said when blessing had his realization that he you know when hands were freaking him out and with elden ring oh yeah and was like whoa this awakened something in me this awakened something in me that I didn't like.
4:40I was like, I am kind of inconsolable right now with how much I hate the way this thing is running at me. But anyway, yeah. Valor Mortis, first person roguelite, or not roguelite, sorry. First person soulslike. And then last night I got to play Moonlighter 2. Wait, that's on Next Fest? Well, you can request access to an early playtest. They've been throwing out a lot of playtest invites recently. I think it was a lot more limited maybe last week, but I submitted a request i think yeah yesterday and got the invite yesterday um that i'll tell you what yeah moonlighter 2 everybody keep forgetting that's this year it's not it's not no wait early access right yeah you're right i was i was mistaken yesterday because here's the thing for some reason i looked on the fantasy critic thing and it said that moonlighter 2 was pushed to 2026 but maybe i'm just i think that's the final release okay maybe kind of funny.com slash sure wrong but i'm pretty sure early access is this year which i guess that then begs the question of do i want to hop in on early access i think early access is like november or something like do i want to hop in during 1.0 um but i will say that yeah november 19th is still the the listed date on steam okay um maybe i'll wait on that then dude it feels great to play the the combat feels awesome already has a super cool um i don't know if you could look it up kevin i'm trying to log into my i accidentally hit sign out which is like the worst thing you could possibly do because if you don't know on fucking google because like there goes all of my shit it's just gone and i'm not able to sign you out of everything i'm not able to ever get back in like apparently at this rate um but if you look up um on my youtube channel kevin of me playing moonlighter last night i i decided to pick the spear weapon and when you're stabbing dudes at the spear you start dropping like little arrowheads like little spear tips in the ground and you see him but you keep on like attacking the dudes and then you hit the y button and it sucks them all towards you and if enemies are in the way that they're getting hit by them so like if you could just fast forward like maybe a third of the way into it kevin maybe near the end even uh i love the r styles uh a third yeah a third of the way into it you'll see some of the oh and oh my gosh the biggest thing that we discovered last night shout out to lanny bird in the youtube or in the twitch chat who was like holy shit this is christopher larkin silksong oh of silksong and hollow night fame they're the main track in this world bless it sounds like like timbaland fucking time traveled no like no it is it's it's so damn good i cannot believe how good the fucking music is from a different timeline where he's like i'm gonna get into video game soundtracks instead of ai i'm not Yeah, the soundtrack so far kicks a lot of ass.
7:32The way that you sell stuff, because you're going out on these runs and you are getting treasures, and the way that you rarefy these treasures and make things worth more to be able to sell whenever you go back home is really kind of creative. I was really screwing it up at the beginning, but man, this is one that's like, all right, get this one on the list. Get this one on the list. I'm looking forward to this one. Maybe Greg will trade this to me and my fantasy critic. Well, are enough people going to review? I never know what the vibe is Are we reviewing this early access thing or not? Not for us, but just for the industry I think it's like a A popularity thing If you got the name You might do it Like Hades 2 will get reviewed in early access Absolume got reviewed in early access That's early access?
8:18Yeah Did Hyper Lightbreaker get reviewed? No It did, but only a couple I didn't give it like a 5 So it didn't have enough scores I don't know if I believe here's here's where I'm at because this is slow news day I'll be honest guys and so Scotty I'm sorry we're just chatting get in your uh you know super chats we're hanging out if I'm gonna give a take let me hear early access I feel like that shouldn't warrant like a review I feel like impressions is where that should stop because like it's not you're not doing this isn't the actual thing right you're building toward the actual thing I guess the I guess the counter argument is that people can buy it but I feel like that's not, I feel like it's just weird.
9:02Cause five out of, of course something's not going to do well in early access because half the shit's not finished. Right. Well, I mean, that's what we thought about Hades. Like, yeah, but even Hades, like Haiti, the reason I kept Hades out of like my game of the year shit and like why I didn't like consider it seriously for a game of the year stuff when in early access was because like, well, I'm playing this and obviously assets aren't here and I know this game isn't finished. And so if I'm playing any completed game and they were missing an ending or they were missing character models or whatever, I'd be like, well, no, this is unacceptable in a finished game.
9:37It's a live by the sword, die by the sword situation for these devs. It may not help your review scores because you are being vulnerable. You're putting yourself out there. You're putting out a game that you know isn't finished and you're hoping for feedback. and sometimes if you have too much hype or if you're a developer with a lot of uh you know notoriety that can bite you in the ass because then people go oh man the sequel to that game is now in early access and what a what a letdown this is so far or on the flip side it could maybe you're on the right track with the game and it reviews well in early access and then you get feedback to help make it better it's such a it is such a gamble you are putting yourself out there for the world to see but that's why i feel like it's okay for impressions like i should be able to judge your early access thing and especially in the context of giving feedback but i feel like a preview an impressions piece uh like even like an early access everything i want out of the final version of this game article but i feel like a review a review for me speaks as this is final like this is the final stamp on how i feel about this thing okay but maybe that's just my old school brain even though i'm not i'm not an old school person i mean you get what i mean i i'm i'm of the mind that i would be totally okay with these things not getting scores and us not voting them in on certain lists or whatever yeah and i would totally see the justification for that and then on the flip side it's like well i mean i put 80 hours into it how am i not gonna put it and i enjoyed my time with it i loved it you know and i can't wait for more I think it's just more of like a if a foot gets put down and you know the gaming president says no review scores for early access and absolutely no game of the year voting.
11:30We do need a reviews president. That's what we need. A video game reviews president. I think I could do it. Was Hades 2 in our game of the year top 10? It was last year. Can I tell you a secret? Hades 2 might be my game of the year this year. i i've hit a point where because it's between that and blueprints and i'm still not i'm trying not to let go of like blueprints wow i'm trying not to let go of blueprints hades 2 is so fucking good i it's crazy how good this fucking video game is hades 2 was a game for me last year where i said i'm not going to put it in my top 10 it's not out it's early access yeah that's thing is it doing it and then tim was like oh i'm putting it in mine i was like oh i don't want to put it i don't want it to go out there and die you know like because what if the game just you know like i don't know what my thought process was but i was like well if you're the only one voting for it it's not going to make the top 10 i gotta help it out and put it in mine so i put it at like number five or four on mine now waffle on the run says have you seen the ending of hades 2 yet bless no and this is what's funny so i don't have spoilers for you but what's funny is after i beat you know i had beaten chronos a while ago and i had beaten the other guy um and after i beat the other guy i looked at him and i was like so like how much more do i have to play this like how many times I had to beat these bosses to beat the game and Tim like I don't even think Tim knew for sure I forget if he is even like beating the game fully but he was like oh probably like I don't know like 10 times or whatever and I was like each I have to beat each of these guys 10 times which I don't know if it's accurate or not I don't think it's accurate but he said that I was like that's fucking crazy flash forward to now like I'm beating Kronos's ass daily oh yeah Kronos is getting these hands daily I'm gonna see that ending soon I'm making the mistake of I just got to beat the damn game i kept trying to do the big dick swinging contest of like all right i'm gonna let me put the 16 heat or whatever it's called yeah it was called heating the first one i always mess up curse maybe yeah the big stone that's in front of the thing yeah i'm like why am i doing it beat the game first and then you could do this other shit because like i've been losing in my runs because the enemies that have more health and are doing more damage and they're it's like what am i doing just beat the game turn that shit off what am i doing yeah because now Now, it's funny because I've hit the point now where it's like, it's more likely that I whoop Cronus' fucking ass than I don't.
13:40You know what I mean? I'm putting up the whatever it's called, like, a little bit. I'm trying to get some of that resources and whatever. And I'm trying to train up for the other guy up top. But man, oh man. I'm going to see that ending. And also, man, Hades 2 is special. It's a good game. That'll be a top three for me, most likely. Yeah. But enough about that. 16:06Starting, I never even finished the point I was making earlier of like, Hades 2 is going to be in our top 10 twice. Yeah. Which is kind of nuts. And I don't have a thought on this as far as like, is that right? Is that wrong? uncharted territory it's it's yeah new territory there might have to be new legislation made because that's kind of crazy as the world changes you know we got to make sure that people aren't getting you know ai naked versions of themselves out there you know what i mean it's one of those things the world is changing okay yeah we have to like put yeah we have to make new rules it's when you gave the example i was like wait well you know like you know it's like putting out naked people making like naked versions of like people in real life and they're like hey what the fuck like yeah that's awful i mean that's terrible yeah and then they like made it illegal yeah wait did they make it illegal yeah oh thank god and i was shocked i was like this administration well i think because they started doing it at taylor swift and that's where they draw the line oh as soon as you start talking with taylor swift the right and the left ready the nukes yeah they're like whoa whoa whoa whoa not taylor yeah story number one ghost of yote is the biggest first party launch for sony in europe since spider-man 2 this is chris for drink at the game business ghost of yote debuts at number two in the gsd european charts with opening sales in line with its predecessor 2020s ps4 hit ghost of tsushima uh that's digital and physical ghost of tsushima was a surprise hit for sony back in 2020 and i don't know if i'll just say it's a surprise hit but i'll digress uh and launch we saw that coming from a mile away and launched during the covid 19 lockdown year which drove record numbers for video game sales.
17:41It's the biggest first-party PlayStation launch since Spider-Man 2 in October 2023. The PS5 exclusive narrowly missed out on number one with EA Sports FC 26 holding on for a third week at the top. The football game's standard edition had only launched the week before, and sales are down 62 % week on week. New at number three is the Super Mario Galaxy plus Super Mario Galaxy 2 double pack for Switch. It's a relatively soft launch for a Mario game, selling around a quarter of what the Super Mario 3D All-Stars Collection managed back in 2020, TGB estimates. They're washed. However, this is purely based on physical sales, Nintendo doesn't share digital data, and it's worth noting that both games were available to buy separately from the Nintendo eShop.
18:26What's more, the first Galaxy game had already been featured in that aforementioned 3D All-Stars Collection, whereas Galaxy 2 did not. So it may be that Switch players chose to go digital with this release instead. other new titles in the top 10 include digimon story time stranger at number four and final fantasy tactics the evil east chronicles at number 10 the top 10 this week is full of games including included in the steam autumn sale uh doom eternal number five was reduced to three pounds and 49
19:03this is a no dumb questions territory is it pence like mike pence Is it pence? Fuck. I don't know. Pounds and pence. Pence, I got it. I got it. Nice. Hell yeah. Wow. Way to go. Three pounds and 49 pence. And then Far Cry Primal at number six had dropped to two pounds and 49 pence. And South Park, The Fractured But Whole was also on sale for two and a half pounds. As a result, new games such as Silent Hill F and Sonic Racing Cross Worlds have fallen out of the top 20 in terms of units. However, in terms of revenue, they can still be found at number 7 for Silent Hill F and number 11 for Sonic Racing Cross Worlds.
19:42Andy, do any of those numbers speak to you? I'm surprised at the volume of sales for Yote because we're in a very different landscape than we were in 2020. we uh i think you look back at that pandemic period where game sales were just going bonkers everybody was buying everything because nobody had shit to do and that you know led to not only birthing more gamers and people going like oh shit maybe i'm kind of into this hobby um but i think i feel like that's kind of like the highest uh you know that's like the the period where the most games may have sold the most in terms of just pure volume.
20:28And I'm pretty surprised that Yote coming out, matching with Spider-Man 2, like... That's nuts. That's pretty wild to me. This isn't a massive IPO. I mean, well, it is now, right? But when I think of Spider-Man, I think of just, that's in a different league. I think I put Spider-Man with all of the other sort of large titles, because whenever he gets a game awards season and there is a Spider-Man video game that exists, it's always i always feel like it's the 2k and the call of duty fans they go what the fuck spider-man got robbed yeah you always kind of feel you know because that's the more commercial uh you know the most the more commercial of all the video games but for something like yote to be selling that well to be on pace with the prior version um and to have company like spider-man 2 i think it's really awesome when they say since spider-man 2 are they saying that it's keeping company or are they saying that like it's the best-selling thing that's come after spider-man 2 because that actually that would shock me if we're talking about ghost of yote actually really keeping pace but i wouldn't be surprised if we're talking about like anything since spider man 2 because what the the competition would then be death stranding 2 which ghost of yote i think is a bit more approachable and digestible than death stranding 2 death stranding 2 is for kojima sickos like me and you it is but it like you're you're definitely not not wrong there and And I'm not shocked that it will sell better than Death Stranding 2.
21:51But there's still so much of that Kojima appeal that I'm surprised this can still go punch for punch and beat it in a lot of ways. I'm very surprised by that because I saw somebody in the chat saying, I've only seen commercials for Ghost of Yote. I think they put Ghost of Tsushima 2. I think they put GOT2. but um you know i wonder what the marketing budget is for this and i haven't really seen a whole lot of commercials for this video game and i feel like maybe it's just a lot of word of mouth and it's a lot of sushima fans who ended up buying sushima many years after and rediscovered love for sushima much like i did where i kind of fell back in love with it uh many years after it came out or i guess the year after it came out um but yes you're definitely right so sorry for interjecting but yeah that is very very true because we're also i mean if we're going back further right like you're talking about doing better than astrobot you're talking about doing better than rise of the ronin but even more notably you're talking about doing better than um you said you said rise of the ronin i thought you i just thought of rise son of rome you're doing better than rise son of rome um but also held at risk 2 would be in that conversation which makes me really wonder like when we break down these numbers how does this look like of Of course, we're talking about European sales data.
23:07And so is there something about that specific group? Are we talking about in-store sales along with European digital sales? Are you able to even count European digital sales exclusively? I guess they include that here, so I imagine you do. But I feel like there's more. There's story to these numbers. There's got to be story to these numbers. Yeah, I mean, so you can't count Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. You can't count... Can you count Helldivers? For, I mean, Helldivers, I would say, was a first-party launch. Yeah, I guess it was. But it wasn't exclusive. I don't know. I mean, it wasn't exclusive, which would mean that it sells more.
23:49Yeah. Especially given how viral Helldivers 2 was. Yeah, you're right. You're right. Christopher Drink, I need you to explain more. Help us out, Christopher Drink. Please help us out. But still, this is awesome news. I think especially with, you know, it's hard to ignore backlash on the internet. It's hard to not see when people are unhappy. And it's always a certain crowd that's unhappy about things. But, you know, I think this is fantastic news. I hope it continues to sell gangbusters. I think it deserves it. Like, this game is really awesome and super fun so far. I can't wait to see the rest of my way through it.
24:23And, yeah, to be up there with, we're talking about EA Sports FC. Like, that's massive, you know. now does this do anything for your thought process on do we get a third ghost game here like me and mike were talking about this yesterday as far as uh sucker punch talking about how you know they're they haven't chosen their next game yet but like you know they kind of take everything into consideration whether it's like looking at the games in the past looking at ghosts and like i'm trying to figure out what your next game looks like there's a lot that goes into that as far as all right if we're moving on to another game that means we're moving on from these actors that means where we might be moving on from some of the staff who might have specialty or might have you know an interest into working in a historical setting etc etc me and mike were both like i don't see a ghost three but if this if you're talking if we're going back to the original thing of hey is this doing spider-man numbers then yes i do see a ghost three yeah i mean it you know it all depends on you know first of all i think there is such an appetite and and a thirst for you know samurai era japan i think that's like i think that that in of itself in addition to the game being beautiful and playing well and being a great game there's like i think games like that will always do well if they are of high quality and if they get good reviews at first i would have said probably not we won't get another ghost but i think i think you just changed my decision i think that when especially right now with sony wanting to be as risk-free as possible yeah i mean that's a really good point like so i think sony's in a spot right now where a lot of money has been lost on a lot of bad decisions and a lot of bad gambles and you cannot gamble the sure thing that you have yeah i think another thing on top of the you're talking about that samurai setting i think even in general there is something to be said about how well you can realize a historical setting and really immersing somebody into that that people really value and i would say that for ghost of tsushima and yote i'll say that for red dead redemption 2 i'll say that for kingdom come deliverance 2 right like there are these games that do such a good job of pulling you into a different setting and i think that really resonates with people even on a sales level i think people want to evangelize that people want to show other people that of like yo this game let me you know ride around the horse in an open world and like get into sword fights and people challenge me whatever like when you can really live out that that very specific fantasy i think there's something very powerful about that and i think ghost of yote gives that to people so i wouldn't be surprised to see them it's on the safety side right like if this is really doing sales like that i wouldn't be surprised to see them go oh well we want to continue that because we know that this is kind of a safe bet for us even though i personally would want to see them do something new but like get your bag not only it being a safe bet but you know when we're talking about how expensive these games are to make these days and ghost of yote being reported to have a similar budget that tsushima had around 60 to 70 million like that is such a gigantic win for a studio that is not spending you know in the 200 million or in the 150 million era area when you're able to keep your costs that low and still able to have a success like this i think they i could also see you know on on one on one side i i go back to our the argument that we had about super giant will they make Hades too?
28:04Super Giant seems too artsy for that. We don't do sequels. We move on to another thing because we're just awesome and we could make whatever the next thing is just as great as the last thing we did. I think we were all sort of surprised by that sequel coming out. But with something like Ghost of Yote and with it being the follow up to Ghost of Tsushima I could see people at Sucker Punch going how can we do ourselves in that genre again? Like not only, of course, I think parts of them may have had ideas and lots, there's been tons of pitches probably for new IP and new projects. But I do think there's also a point of pride in them that says, how can we make this next one if we are going to do a follow up to Ghost of Yote?
28:45How are we going to make the next one even better? How can we outdo ourselves? Yeah. I think creative people love that challenge. Andy, I want to talk to you about a controller. Yes. I've been messing around with. But before I do, I want to talk to the audience about patreon.com slash kindoffunny and youtube.com slash kindoffunnygames where you can go and get the Kind of Funny membership, which allows you to get shows ad-free. 31:35Looking, or sorry, playing Hades 2, and holy shit, it's great. lock in for my trip to WWWY. WWWY. Worldwide. Worldwide web. Wrestling. WWWY. WWWY. They say they're locking for my trip to that this weekend and hoping to get further. When we were young. Oh, yeah. It's like a emo rock pop punk sort of fest. with all the old headbands. And here's the thing. I was going to make a joke of like, yo, you can't be putting in acronyms that will definitely have no idea. I understand, though, that there's a space limit. And so you got to do what you got to do. You got to do what you got to do. Red Hudson.
32:21182. Freaking headline. Panic of the Disco. Oh. I jumped in with the average of people in my heart. Red Hudson 8 says Stomach Mike freaked that ad read. Stomach Mike was also in the Twitch chat talking about how they should Sucker Punch should go back and make an infamous. Which is why I need the emote, Andy. I need the Mike pandering emote. Because that emote, Mike, have you played infamous? Get out of here, Dallas. Have you played infamous? He's still based. He's still based. Oh, man. Mike's the man of the people. Tristan. Oh, there he is. Oh, man. That man ran out with speed. You're going to tear something, big dog.
32:56See that? That's called super speed, bless. I could be a superhero in the next infamous video game. Blessing. Sucker Punch should return to the world of superheroes. compliment Insomniac while they're gone, right? Because we're going to get hit with Wolverine. It's going to be lit. But then you're going to be saying, Mike, Mike, Mike, I want more superheroes in my world. I'm riding the high of Marvel and DC, finally hitting their second peak. I want a new world. And I want unique characters like Gen V, Second Son. You played Second Son? Yeah, I will be back. So now I'm saying, like, let's create a world like that again.
33:31Like, bring us back to something completely new and different, right? We don't need the IPs, the Marvels and the DCs. Give me something fresh. Give me something new. Or return to like infamous proper. You know what I mean? Okay. Gen V the video game. You just say you don't want IPs. Yeah, but I really like the new season of Gen V. We haven't talked about it. The new season of Gen V, a lot of fun. Andy, you been watching it? No, no. I haven't had a chance. I haven't had a chance. They're back, bro. They're so bad. I've been watching them. You can talk to me for a while. You've been watching them?
34:00What do you think? We talk about it all the time. Oh, my God. You, me, and Nick need to sit down and talk about it. Oh, dude, I'll be so down. I need you to watch your heart rate, please. Yeah. I mean, he ran so fast. Oh, he's coming back. He's coming back. This is a solid 132. Oh, my God. Mike would be such a great politician. Mike would be something if Mike runs for mayor or even president. We're all fucked. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, it couldn't get any more worse, though. Let's see here. Let's see here. Let's see here. Tristan writes in and says, R.I.P. D 'Angelo. He and Dilla changed rhythm forever.
34:32Agreed. Uh, Mellowfellow says, blessed, now's the perfect time to hop into Digimon. I guarantee you it's not. Oh, you're not playing Digimon? No. That's not one of the five games I'm chuckling right now. Damn. Uh, Mike was playing Digimon. Yeah, he did. Yeah. He was. Oh my God, he's coming back. Oh, he's running real fast. Man, we can't, we... We got a band running in the room. Yeah, no running, guys. Play Digimon. It's really, really good. Yeah? Okay. Whoa. You guys should put Digimon on your list to play. Yeah? It's a lot of fun. You still playing it? I got Fatmon. i got aguman okay i got all the mons bro this shit's lit yeah yeah yeah that's a no uh let's see openness prime says when's the games cast where we list out games officially define what a remake slash remaster is thanks to the morning discussion bless uh openness prime is referring to i got on reddit again oh as i were replying to things on reddit again oh man openness i think it was you that made the post of like i disagree with blessing about yada yada and like usually i wouldn't respond usually in fact usually i try not to look at reddit posts but i was there i had the time this morning i didn't have the time this morning i was prepping kpd but i got in there and we had a good discussion it was good debate what pisses me off though is that people keep telling me that blue point doesn't remake games i saw somebody referred to shadow colossus remake as a deluxe remaster and i can't have this conversation anymore i you know what what fucked it all up Final Fantasy 7.
35:57Thank you. Yes. I was going to make this point. Final Fantasy 7 fucked it all up. Now it got in everybody's heads thinking that you have to change the game style. Resident Evil 2 remake as well. That you have to change the way the game plays for it to be a remake. Yes. To me, when we were, you know, back in the day before we had a Resident Evil 2 remake or a Final Fantasy 7 remake or whatever, it was anything that was a remaster was they were unlocking the textures to be full res they were putting it in 1080p they were getting widescreen treatment it was it was looking sharper and it was running better and running smoother that's what a remaster red faction gorilla remastered the fucking yes um oh it's dark siders didn't they have a remaster yeah i believe so I believe so.
36:45We doubled her out on it. Yeah. It had a cute name to it or whatever. But it's usually you are, somebody in the Reddit described it as like you're like rubbing off the Vaseline, right? Yes. You're taking what is and making it clear. Make that game that was 480p back in the day. Make it look 1080p now. Make it 1440p or 4K now. Yeah. And the textures that were all smudgy because you had to compress them and you were looking at them at like the lowest res possible. Now we unlock it. it's like oh these textures were actually really sharp now that i'm running on better hardware that's what a remaster to me if art if like to not call demon souls a remake you like or shadow the colossus you're doing a massive disservice to every 3d art asset being recreated yes from scratch like i don't care if you're using the still the same source code or whatever like oh but it's the same game just with like a new engine on top of it but for every 3d asset to get recreated you're not just hitting a button that says make the models look sharper and better you are recreating everything from start you are remaking all those assets that to me is a remake and i know there's somebody else in the thread i need to stop reading reddit but there was somebody else in the thread say they're like oh that's a waste of creativity that's a waste of what no that is creativity like that is an art in of in and of itself right if you're able to go and look at what was once there with demon souls or what was once there was shadow colossus or what was once there with that original thing and go all right how do i take this and turn it into something that feels brand new right like how can i put my own artistic vision on like making this something that is brand new i think that is worthwhile and that is art right like i can't do that shit right mostly you need an artist to go and do that shit um i think if i think the people that that feel that way are probably the same ones going you know uh uh fucking cgi sucks and it's like no you think cgi sucks now because budgets are so shitty and people can't don't have time to make shit or whatever yeah but like you know it's it's like when there was like the the anti-cg art movement or whatever it's like yes i love physical shit too in in movies i love real world props but you know don't shit talk cg because that cg team had to rush the shit out of this because of you know needing to get the movie out or whatever it's like it's you are totally like downplaying a full you're downplaying a full talent which is recreating these things trying to keep it traditional while you know making it their own or making it new or just recreating it like Like, hey, this 3D asset was made on PS1.
39:24How would that look now in 2025 or 2021 or whatever? And that to me is like, that deserves like the remake thing. Remasters to me will always be just like when people say, I want a Bloodborne remaster. To me, in my mind, I go, oh, they want. They want to play it in 60 FPS. They want to just like put in that Lance McDonald code to give it 60 frames per second. It's 4K now. It's sharper. it doesn't have all the jaggies from the anti from the anti-aliasing or aliasing uh and it just looks better and runs better that's up to me a remaster now if you said i want blue point to remake bloodborne then we're looking the demon souls uh way where it's like let's put our new engine over the havoc engine of what you know they originally made bloodborne in and let's remake every asset remake every weapon everything's going to be made from scratch that to me is remake yeah I think you're right as far as the Final Fantasy 7 remake aspect of it because that was the same thought I had between that and the Resident Evil 2 or Resident Evil 2 remake, right?
40:23Like, which is less additive than Final Fantasy 7 remake, but still you're taking that original game and recontextualizing it and like giving it a different point of view or whatever, even though so much of it is based off of... You're changing the whole game style. You're changing the whole game style, essentially. It's a third-person shooter now. Like, I understand what it comes down to. It's like there's not a clean way to title that other than just calling it Resident Evil 2 or just calling it Final Fantasy VII Remake. But really, it's like, for me, those are more than remakes. For me, those are like reimagining.
40:52For me, that's like, Final Fantasy VII Remake and like Rebirth are damn near sequels to the original Final Fantasy VII. But yeah, I think that's moved the needle to where now like remakes are a bigger spectrum. I mean, I think that's okay, but I don't think the solution is to then go, ah, everything's a remaster unless it's Final Fantasy VII Remake. It's like, no, no, no, no, no. That's not the way we were calling them before Final Fantasy VII Remake. When we were talking about Metroid Prime Remastered, somebody was like, yeah, but that's just a remaster. I was like, well, it's a new lighting engine with every new art asset recreated.

41:27Like, that's, you know, that to me is, that's a remake. I know they call it a remaster. I don't give a shit. Like that's like you are remaking everything from scratch to make it look like a modern thing. Anyway. Speaking of tech. Hey. What's up with this controller? This is the Scuff Valor Pro. The Scuff Valor Pro. Yes. It is blessing. Scuff Valor Pro. Scuff. I hope to continue to become the controller guy. Because I buy a shit ton of controllers. And I get sent some as well. And I love this controller. This is the wireless version of the wired version that I've been using a lot of. the the wired scuff valor pro was 100 bucks and that was like wired only with all the back paddles that you could want even some you know even if you don't like the way these feel you can replace these little buttons so it just like becomes a flat thing if you don't of course you can this looks nice um it comes with a little usb thing that you could plug in this is not a sponsorship ad by the way this is just me talking about new tech that yeah you can't you can't even you're like i have a controller that i want to review i want to talk about yeah um so the the the scuff valor pro is again it's it's a very expensive controller very expensive along the lines of what you would expect with the dual sense edge with the xbox elite this is a 190 dollar controller damn cheaper than what i thought when we talk about how the how much is the the elites i think at one point were like one or maybe 200 now they're 150 or something okay um the most important thing about controllers for me nowadays is not only back paddle feel it uh and placement but it's programmability can i program the back paddles on the fly without having to open a piece of software that you may have now they scuff does have their own piece of software that you could go in there and edit um the uh like the the dead zones and all that in the sticks or whatever you know like You can get really, really down to the nitty-gritty with it.
43:32But for me, it's always about when I'm on the fly and I'm switching to a new video game, and this new video game has dodge on right trigger instead of B, can I just hold this button, hit my back paddle, and then hit the button I want it to be attached to? And yes, you can do that still on the Valor Pro Wireless. I've been using the wired version for quite some time. I would say between the GameSir G7 Pro, which is the other one I've been using a lot, that and the scuff are the ones that i've been swapping between the most again the scuff wired one is 100 this is 189.99 if you want that wireless capability um so again these are like for enthusiasts these are for people who got extra bucks to spend and are like yeah i like getting the best of the best or whatever so this isn't something that i would just recommend to anybody and say like yeah of course hey instead of that 60 8-bit dough why don't you you know fork up for this you know$190 controller which are mainly used for I would say if you're really really into Call of Duty and you're into first person shooters or third person shooters on controller this is what the market is kind of aimed for right when we're talking about the polling rate and how quickly the controller responds to all of your movements it also has the trigger stops which we love love the trigger stops and it has a little sound profile stuff the little knobs here to control whether you want like game audio or chat.
45:00I love that. It's an awesome controller. It feels great. It's one of the better like materials, I would say. It doesn't feel like a cheap sort of like plastic thing. I just love the feel of it. So I will continue to use the Scuf Valor Pro wireless and or wired depending on where I'm at, along with my game. So those are my favorite controllers of the year. Nice. Yeah, I like this controller a lot. For more context, the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, I believe the MSRP is$200, but it's been slashed. Right now it's$157.95 on the Microsoft website, on the Xbox website, and then on Amazon, it's$153.
45:37And Lord knows I got problems with those controllers. Yeah. I have four at home. And I assume that's a temporary sale, but I can't tell for sure. But yeah, the$200 is like slashed out on both things. I feel like it's been a temporary sale. It's been temporary for the last year or so. Yeah, it's like a very long temporary sale. But yeah, I absolutely recommend these over the Xbox Elite 2 controller. I said this, I think on the Games Daily we were on prior, where I think the next move Microsoft should make, because I love the feeling of a normal-ass Microsoft controller. I love the feeling of a normal-ass.
46:10I love the feeling of a normal-ass Microsoft controller. The Elite controllers, I've never loved the rubberized grips, but I deal with it because I love the back paddles and the customization there. but their bumper buttons always fail and the rubber grips always peel off and if i think the next thing that microsoft needs to do which would be like the coolest and easiest dub ever is just add basic ass back buttons to your standard controller like 8-bit dough has uh these aren't i wouldn't say like stat like basic buttons these are kind of built in a different way the way the body style is but um like just add normal back buttons to the standard xbox controller and that would be such an easy win but the thing that would kind of keep me from using that still is the programmability i hate having to open up the xbox accessories app that's kind of a pain in the ass sometimes sometimes you're in a game something you know whatever it's just like an extra step where you have to open up the accessories app to say assign the button to the back button to the back paddle or whatever i sign wide of there now to be able to do that all on the hardware like i'm able to do with this with the game sir with the razor wolverine that i was using last year that's like give me hardware remapping but as it stands like i would recommend these any day over what microsoft is offering with their xbox controllers there you go what's the call again valor pro wireless valor pro wireless sucf valor pro wireless it's scuff the name of the company scuff is the brand yeah brand okay gotcha yeah scuff scuff is known for all their like sort of esports stuff they always do um like brand deals with uh call of duty pros and stuff like that um so yeah scuff's been around the game for a long time and um yeah the button feel is great i love this controller quite a bit i think it has like maybe the best feeling sticks also something about the texture is the textures on it i do love how this feels like if you were to if i had closed my eyes he handed this to me i would have maybe even guessed that this is like an official xbox thing except for the the grips feel a bit thicker in a way that i like but that's like the only thing that feels um fairly like different or like off from like a microsoft brand thing yeah other than that though like this feels fucking this feels tight but again if if you're like looking for a new controller and you don't need wireless get the wired one 100 bucks for the wired one is like such an easy recommendation for me if you're like you know what if you're in the market for a new controller and most controllers are like 60 70 or 80 nowadays save money for an extra couple months and get the wired hundred dollar one because it's it's a really good piece of hardware uh let's go from a controller review to a video game review with story number three ball x pit reviews are out i got a roundup for you on metacritic is sitting at an 84 on open critic is sitting at an 86 roland ingram at nintendo life gave it a 9 out of 10 and says ball x pit is tremendous sorry is a tremendous brew of so many ideas it ought to collapse under the confusion however it operates in such perfect balance that it appeals both to the one more go instinct and to more cerebral planning and creativity kenny sun studios set itself a heck of a challenge but fortunately hadn't dropped the ball robin valentine at pc gamer gave it an 80 out of 100 and says a roller coaster ride of ball bouncing action that loves to break its own rules and christian donlin at euro gamer gave it a four out of five and says kenny sun's new game is a voguish spin on an Atari classic, and it rules.
49:42Andy, you've been playing some of that Ball X Pit. Yeah, I got about 22 hours in Ball Pit. Is it just Ball Pit? Do I not pronounce the X as like Hunter Hunter? Yeah, I think that's what we're doing nowadays. Like Spy Family. Does Spy Family have an X? Maybe. Have I just ignored the X the entire time? I think so. Oh, you're right. There's been an X the whole time. I think I just started calling it Spy Family and the X just disappeared. It's implied, yeah. Yeah, I've been playing Ball Pit on numerous devices including the Asus ROG XM. Which I will be talking about on the Gamescast after this. But I've been playing on numerous devices including my Steam Deck, including my PC.
50:29I like this game. I don't love it. i i maybe i need to put in more hours to fully see the fruits of my labor and maybe to see how creative it could possibly get but you know at this point these games are they are such brain rot yeah that i don't know whether to commend it for that or to to strike points from it um because similar to something like megabonk which is just the 3d vampire survivors game you're playing it and i'm like i am one step removed from being an old lady in a casino just hitting the button like right now to see the numbers like my actions barely matter right now yeah it's about the choices i've made to make the number go up i am one step away from you know being the the candy crush player that you know uh is playing at work or whatever like i i'm not trying to talk shit about candy crush but it's like how far away are we really from that style of game.
51:25I think the roguelite nature does work out really well in the way that these balls will evolve. These balls evolve in a lot of cool, creative ways. If I were to put a score in it right now, I don't want you all to freak out. Again, this is a safe space. And sometimes we can still recommend games that are good. I would give this game a 7.5 out of 10. Coward. It's a game I recommend. It's a game that I'm like, Like, hey, if you got spared 20 bucks or 25 or however much it is, and you enjoy just the brain feeling good whenever you see all those numbers and flashes, and all the sound effects are fantastic.
52:05I think the sound design is, like, really, really top-notch. Similar to, on the flip side, when you think about the sound design of something like Minecraft, where you're just kind of like, and it's like, oh, this feels good, and it's appealing to hear. the yeah the sound effects in this game are fantastic with all of the different effects explosions of of the bricks breaking and for audio listeners if you're listening you're like what the fuck is ball pit it is a roguelite brick breaker um where you are controlling a town called balbion okay i believe that's actually you know what that's actually good yeah but i want to let that sit it is pretty good with that yeah it is pretty damn good uh you're you're in a town called ball beyond and the way that you get these permanent upgrades their matches is you as you're playing a a little round of brick breaker whatever and you unlock a new character you then go to place down kevin if you could bring the footage back up of like the city view which may be hard to find but when you see the city view uh right there yeah here you go perfect this is where the game can And maybe pause a little bit during that moment.
53:16But this is where the game could kind of look overwhelming. When I first heard that this game had a sort of city management sim, I'm like, I don't know if I want that in this game. But usually that speaks to me. Man, they are way nicer. They are way more organized. Organized in mine. Holy shit. Mine is just like, I unlocked a new building. I guess I'll put it here and move this building elsewhere or whatever. So you can move these buildings whenever you want. But what the buildings do is they are the main way that you upgrade your characters permanently. This game has an Elden Ring slash Dark Souls leveling system.
53:55Where, now stick with me, it's like it has the grading. It has the grading. It has the letters. So you start off with like E scores everywhere. and like Snowback Mike once asked, is E good? After he had approximately like 400 hours in Souls games and from software games, is E good? No, E does not stand for excellent. E is the worst it could be, right? And so you might put a house down and that house is, I don't know, the witch's factory or whatever. And that will increase intelligence and intelligence is tied to your AOE. If you want to use some of the balls that are area of effect balls, then it's like the lightning, the earthquake, all those things that improve AOE.
54:34and then you place that little fucking witch factory down in your house after every round, and then you send your dudes out on a little mission, and then when you send them out, they have to bounce against the building to level that building up, and now your intelligence might go up from E to D. And then every time you want to level that up, it requires resources to level it up, and then instead of taking 10 bounces to level up, now you're trying to get to rank A on strength, and that building requires like 40 bounces. So you have to like send your little soldiers out and hope that you set out, hope that you sort of organized your world in a way that will benefit your soldiers to just like bounce against the little building.
55:16And now you're at an A for strength, but not every character has a good score or a good rating in strength, right? So one character might have a, you may have level them up to 30 and they may have a 25 in strength. And that's going to be good because you have an A in strength. But if you want to play that character that has a 12 in strength, that's not really going to go too far. You know, so it's like, it has that Dark Souls leveling system that can be very confusing to a lot of people. And that's what Roger's struggling with. Roger's in a point where he's like, I can't get past this level. And I asked him, have you been leveling up your buildings?
55:50He's like, no. I was like, well, it has a Dark Souls leveling system, which can kind of be hard for people who don't really understand that. If you've not played that. It's tough. It's kind of weird the way it works. But yeah, make sure you want to level up those buildings. And once you do, you will start unlocking characters that completely break the game. There's a character that's like the cohabitants. And it's two little people that shoot double the balls, but they are half health. Or they're half damage. But they still shoot double the amount of balls. So then if you, during a run, pick the fireball, then it'll be like two fireballs.
56:27They bounce all over the place. one character that I just got is called like the juggler and I don't have I can shoot balls in like an arc so like I could shoot towards the back line without having to hit the front oh that's cool and so now I could just in the back line like it it evolves in a lot of cool ways I don't love the game I I like it so far but I still like recommend it it's a 7.5 out of 10 for me it's one that I say if you're interested in it, give it a shot there's a good chance you'll like it, I recommend it Well Andy, Ball X Pit is getting some good big reviews but if I wanted something smaller say the tiniest news I need to know about where would I go?
57:12You'd go to our last story of the Wii News channel where we cover all the small news items you need to know about Story number 4 was a big news but I'm demoting it to Wii News Sonic the Hedgehog has been added as a sidekick on GPS navigation app Waze. Nice. That would be from Chris Gullian at VGC. Yeah, basically Sonic talks to you, tells you when to turn left. There's a chili dog standing nearby. Well, funny enough, there are voice lines I was going to have you do. Maybe I can still have you do them here. Yeah, let me hear them. Let's see. According to Waze, Sonic will say such lines as, all right, let's roll.
57:41Keep your eyes on the road. All right, let's roll. Keep your eyes on the road. I like that. Turn right. Excellent handling. Fucking speed by that cop. Fuck the police. yeah um so yeah that's with ways uh more we news for you a thousand x resist is coming to xbox uh xbox game pass and ps5 on number november 4th i highly recommend that game that was one that i know barrett really loved i really loved a lot of people here actually really loved and so dude that game's good if you haven't played a thousand x resist because you don't have like a you don't get on pc now you can check it out dude watch it dude here's the thing about a movie like tron aries which is not good but while watching it and just like the way things are designed even tron legacy i'm like oh man if they made a 1000x for this movie 1000x for this movie yeah that would be that'd be fucking awesome with this sort of vision oh what a good game we got new ps plus games for you for october ps plus extra you're getting silent hill 2 until dawn as dusk falls the rising yakuza like a dragon poppy playtime chapter 1 and wizard with a gun for premium you're in Tekken 3.
58:47Motion Wreck launches October 27th on PC. Testronic shuts down their Bucharest studio. Apologies if I mispronounced that. I think you nailed it. Death by Scrolling launches October 28th on PC. And then last one, a sad one. Witchbrook has been delayed to 2026. It was originally scheduled for winter 2025. Oh shit, somebody's crawling onto this. Oh god, somebody's crawling. It's Barrett. Hello everybody. You guys fucking cool right now? You guys cool? We're not live. We're not live. No, we're not live. Okay. All right. Did you feel my abs, by the way? It was fat. It's all fat. You like my abs? Yeah, they're nice.
59:26They're nice. Okay, I need y 'all to be fucking cool. All right? Witchbrook. All right. I don't know if you know this, Andy. You have Witchbrook on your fantasy critic team. I was made aware of that this morning. I didn't know that. You don't remember spending money to pick it up? Well, I do now. But on the flip side of things, sorry, I was talking too loudly. On the flip side of things, now that it's delayed, I can't drop it. I already dropped the game earlier. Well, here's the thing. You only used one of your three will not release drops. No shit, we have three. Yeah, you have three. So here's the thing.
1:00:01Here's the thing. They have eyes and ears everywhere. Mike and Roger have been torturing me for weeks, if not months. I've been trying to go to sleep, but there's a ringing in my ears every night and it's just, Barrett, we're cheating. We're cheating, Barrett. We're cheating, Barrett. We're cheating, Barrett. And here's the thing. Sometimes I'm a part of that. I'm sorry. I'm in fifth place. Are we going to cheat, Barrett? I'm in fifth fucking place. I've got three games left. Maybe they hit. Three? Maybe they don't. I need Marvel Cosmic Invasion to come the fuck out. Where's your release date?
1:00:32Where is it? I don't know. I don't know where that release date is. But at this point, I don't care if I win, Andy. I need Mike and Roger to lose. I need them to fucking lose. And you know who's in second place right now, Andy Cortez? Paris? Because he had self-souder? Andy Cortez is in second place. No shit. With 105 points. What? When did that happen? Three points. What happened to Paris? Oh, Absolume did that for you. Absolume. No shit. Yeah, Absolume got you some points. Wow, I'm up right now. Yeah. So here's the thing. Yeah. Are you going to be fucking cool? Because I have some information for you to help you out.
1:01:09Wait, but they're probably listening. Wait, no. Maybe they're listening. Maybe they're listening, but here's the thing. I need to make sure you don't fuck me on this. Are you planting false information? No. I need to make sure you don't fuck me on this. Because I thought about helping you out, but you know what? You know what? You're co-captain for Team Purple for Showdown. Right, right, right. So I need to make sure I don't give you this fucking information. And then you just say, oh, you know what? I'm going to use this information to help out Mike. Because Mike and Roger are recruiting everybody.
1:01:35Yeah, but it is funny when Mike wins. Just for the content. Help me out. Yeah, for sure. Can I fucking trust you? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Look at me. Is Barry about to leak a game? Look at me.
1:01:52This summer, serve up the cookout classics, Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs and Heinz Mustard. Grill up a dog, add classic yellow mustard, or load it Chicago style. We all know it's not a cookout without Oscar Mayer and Heinz.
1:02:10If you fuck me on this, I will make sure to park in your parking spot as much as possible. So you have to deal with neighborhood parking for the rest of our fucking lives. Okay. I'll listen. I'll listen. Okay. That's all he had to threaten me with. Is Skate Story good? Does it have the sauce? Because that's coming out in December. How do you feel about Skate Story? I'm feeling great about it. Okay. I'm feeling real good about that one. Okay. Is it coming out still? Yeah. December. Nice. Yeah. Nice. So if you want a good shot at winning, you're going to drop Witchbrook because it'll be one of your free do not release drops.
1:02:43Right, right, right. You have$24. You're going to spend all of that on Demon School. Demon School has got that indie JRPG sauce that I think the JRPG indie nerds are going to be fucking into. Is it coming out? Yeah. November. It is November, yeah. Pick up Demon School. Spend all of your money on it. You want to know why? You have$24. Now, Mike and Roger, they only have$6 or$7. Oh, nice. But here's the thing. The reason you want to use all of your money is because Greg Miller has$23. And he's not fucking winning. Maybe they've recruited him. Who knows? Who fucking knows? They've got eyes and ears everywhere.
1:03:22Drop Wittsbrook. Spend it all on Demon School. You might have a shot at winning. You haven't seen me. I haven't seen you. I was wondering why I asked about Skate Stories because you already have Skate Stories. So the idea is that if you get Skate Story to hit well for you, and then, yeah, if you drop Witchbrook and pick up Demon School, theoretically, you're going to be looking good. On the flip side, though, what if I have a little revenge tour from EA Football Manager? What if EA Football Manager 26 might come out? Wait, I think somebody picked that up. Oh, fuck. Yeah, I'm pretty sure. Hold on, let me check.
1:03:58I don't know what's happening in this league. Football. I do think it's funny though Oh nobody picked up EA Football Manager I do kind of think It's kind of a risk because the last one It was so bad they cancelled it Yeah it was mine Oh because you had that last year You're going to bet on that twice You know what they say fool me once Shame on you fool me twice You can't get fooled again Here's what I'm confused about Bust I fucking dropped the game You get a free drop and you have three Hold on let me look So I dropped it not thinking that it was like a delayed game. I think I dropped it because I just didn't want it.
1:04:35But I guess then it turned into it's not releasing. So it counted towards my not releasing. Was it already? No. I don't think so. So that should count as your free drop. I don't remember. I think you're able to. Thank you, Kevin. I don't know what I'm doing. On the website to see like what drops you have. There's a setting in there. I can help. If you want to come to your computer after this, I'll go to your computer and help you figure out how many drops you have. Blessings by dad or my son helping me out with Wi-Fi. You have one free drop, and then you have three will not release drops. So if it got delayed or has a release date in another year, you have three of those that you can drop.
1:05:06It's funny. I was just talking about this last night. Before the news, like, I was like, I, because I think Shadow Tricks are in the chat. I was like, and no, Andy, you're in second. There's no way. I thought Paris was second, but I thought I was like fourth or fifth. I thought I was, where am I at in this thing? What happened to you? I thought I was second. how could somebody who cares so little like me be in second so here's the other okay i'm in third now this is absolute absolute turn oh nice that's good for me um okay fascinating because i was like chat if if which more games are getting delayed like i'm fucked that was my only drop like i i don't have another job no yeah yeah yeah that's awesome yeah this league is cool what sucks for me well for me it comes down to luminesce or rise which i think is going to do very well I say that even though I've made bad decisions recently right because like Skin Deep didn't do well for me and then Wander Wanderstop kind of came back a little bit but then I have Mixtape which I am at the point where I'm convinced that that's not coming out this year.
1:06:09Mixtape is going to fuck me because I can't drop Mixtape because it was counterpicked. Oh and so I'm stuck with Mixtape unless they shadow drop that shit because I know that's going to be a banger. I know that's going to get good reviews but I'm like that's not coming out this year anymore i don't think it's coming out this year and so that's gonna fuck me and then it's been all quiet on the western front for mixtape the question mark i have is possessors that's one from heart machine that's the return to like that 2d like pixel art i think not pixel art no no but amazing hand animated art yeah with awesome combat if you haven't played the demo i don't know if you know if there's a demo out right now there probably will be with the game coming out so soon the combat in that game is really cool it feels so good it feels like a they were trying to do like a smash bros fighting style i need that game to be a fucking banger it's those two games can be bangers that i can keep myself in this look here's the thing if the people that review if the right people review possessors and the people i'm talking about are the ones horny for demons because like the main character you're breaking out long black hair horns shirtless abs remember that one picture of crips hemsworth where his like torso was longer than the fucking eiffel power oh and he was like in the rain wet kevin can you bring that up his jeans were down to like you could probably see you could see the source maybe not bring that up because that's beautiful beautiful body yeah that's okay this isn't as long that wow he looks like a worm look at this guy he looks like fucking uh what's it called the uh marcus the worm i for the last two days i've been in the gym um just picturing yusuf mcgid because he posted a new uh instagram post oh my god yeah at the beach um on vacation i mean i'll fluster and it was one of those ones where i was kind of like oh fuck me i guess like oh shit i thought i looked good this is this is a man that has been sculpting i see him all the time but he has clothes on so i don't get the full picture yeah that was that that picture sent me to the gym chat look up yusuf mcgid on on instagram oh i'm sweating uh let's knock out we're late in the show so i'm gonna knock out some super chats real quick mad hatter says uh birthday tax uh thanks kind of funny for all you guys do happy birthday mad hatter jb bonifacio says finished my first full run of absolum but apparently the story is just getting started nice hell yeah i got real far in absolum too i played that a decent amount on this old no i was scared to take this to la with me oh yeah greg was like don't travel with it and i was like oh fuck yeah was that on an airplane fucking phil spencer pops up he's like a flight marshal at the air marshal you're arrested sir scorpion brew says i just want to thank you for having jason schreier on the show i have now read all of his books 10 out of 10 each one can't wait for his neck i've read them too in my ears mad rock says blessing should join the box jam slam for 2x ko a lot of people have been telling me about this say jam slam situation i what are the details like does it make sense for me to try to get a part of it Like, is it?
1:09:11Because I always associated bigger creators. Not trying to downplay myself, but, like, I think I've always envisioned, like, I don't know, like, a Lily Pichu or a Valkyrie or, like, people of that stature. Like, would they care about me over there? I don't know. I also am playing a lot of games. I would like to get better at 2XKO. With how little we get hit up for Twitch rivals. Yeah. Which is never. But here's the thing. I know it's also the thing of if we put ourselves out there more, we probably would get hit up for more stuff. it's just a matter of like one am I gonna make the time for me to you know go all because I want to play if I'm gonna do a Sage James Slam I want to fucking go all in you know what I mean I want to be playing that game I want to become the Chris Hemsworth of 2XKO long body it's so long I was dude I did so many setups today so vertical I did so many setups today you gotta do pull ups with your legs up pull ups with your legs up what muscles does that like help really yeah you get that line because i mean i'd be in there doing the arms i'll be on the treadmill but then it's like it's the core i get lazy with the core well the pull-ups like obviously hurt help your arms and your biceps but yeah when you hold your legs up like man you do that for a week you're gonna see that do you think we can get a pull-up bar in this office no but roger wanted to have one and then nick said roger how would you feel if i put something in your house and roger's like This isn't your house.
1:10:33That's hilarious. That's such a Nick thing. It is. I hate it. Let's see here. Brad Mills writes him with a birthday tax. Happy birthday, Brad Mills. Sorry, I'm sweeping through these because we're really late in the show now. Joe Ferrelli says, Andy's initial Valor Pro review is the reason I bought one. My first back paddle baby. My first non-first part controller. Love it on Xbox. Nice. Oh, first party controller. I see what you're saying. That being said, if they can improve something about this controller, I wish the back buttons were 10 % easier. There's a bit more resistance than I would prefer.
1:11:16BG2580 says, do you think that a futuristic Ghost of Tokyo would work as the next entry in the Ghost franchise, or is the old setting in vast nature necessary? Oh, man, that's... I don't want to go too deep in this conversation. because i could go deep on this conversation but they that studio with the ghost series i feel like one of the things that really defines ghost of tsushima and yote is the foliage i feel like that's like top three identifiable things about ghosts is the foliage yeah the beautiful plants the colors like how vibrant the vistas like the wind yeah all that is so necessary to ghost that i feel like if you took you if you took that game out of that setting it's almost like you might as all just make a different game at that point but imagine instead of the leaves like blown by you pieces of paper like garbage in the street yeah it's fucking oh man and you go into photo mode and you can like raise it up to the highest and it's just all these papers all these cvs receipts you can see like you're like you're riding around the the city and you're seeing like the vibrancy of the ipod nanos just left on the ground um jerston seven says i just spent 180 on the scuff envision pro and brother was i shooting uh on the bo7 beta that's black ops 7 tim uh previously used the gamer sir and the scuff feels way better games you heard about that game sir no look at it again games i love that controller is it really gamer sir it's game sir game sir okay we gotta spell check a little bit guys yeah you're super chasby whoop my ass um okay i'm gonna stop i'm gonna cut it off there because we're going we're going real late Let me pull in your wrong.
1:12:58Of course, that's where you write in. Let us know what we got wrong as we got it wrong. So you can correct it for those watching later on YouTube and listening later on podcast services around the globe. Nitro says Andy said that Absalom was an early access game. It is in fact not an early access game. I thought it was an early access game. And then Mr. Hawk says football manager is not an EA series. Also, football manager 26 is releasing on November 4th. I'm looking to that. I'm looking at that. I think Barrett gave sound advice. also barrett i'm saying i'm i don't actually i don't know i was gonna say i know for a fact bear didn't get a code and so i was gonna be like are you breaking something but he didn't get a code for sure i know that for for demon school because remember they sent codes like really early and then delayed the game oh so like i can't confirm or deny anything on demon school i will say i've not played much of that game at all um but i've been sitting i've had a demon school code for a while now uh allegedly allegedly now andy that does bring us to the end of the show thank you so much for joining me here on this episode of kind of funny games daily where each and every week they run you through the nerdy news you need to know about live on youtube twitch and on podcast services around the globe if you love what we do support us with a kind of funny membership on patreon or youtube to get all of our shows ad free watch the court them live and get a daily exclusive show.
