In short
Kinda Funny Games Daily discusses GTA 6’s “extended look” premiering on Netflix (with later YouTube availability), Nintendo’s latest sales figures, and the casting of Ganondorf for the Zelda movie.
Guests
Andres Cortez (host) and Timothy Gettys (co-host). No other guests are introduced in the transcript.
Key claims
- GTA 6 extended look streams on Netflix Thursday Aug 27 at 12 p.m. PT; official YouTube premiere is 6 p.m. PT (after a ~6-hour window).
- Netflix likely paid a large amount (hosts speculate ~$10M) to drive mainstream subscriptions and coverage.
- The extended look should balance “normie” appeal (narrative/context) with gameplay details.
- Nintendo sales show strong longevity: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe still sells ~2/3 as much as Mario Kart World.
Notable examples
- Comparison to Red Dead Redemption 2’s 2018 trailer length and impact.
- Nintendo numbers: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 71.53M; Animal Crossing New Horizons 50.29M; Tomodachi Life 8M; Kirby Air Riders 1.9M.
- Zelda movie: Yuli Latukafu cast as Ganondorf.

Botox, autobotulinum toxin A, prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine. It's not for those who have 14 or fewer headache days a month. Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection, causing serious symptoms. Alert your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition.

Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms, and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection. Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions, including ALS Lou Gehrig's disease, myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, and medications, including botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects. 3:30Nick Scarpino:had to ask you what your full name was yeah that was shocking yeah but it's a fun reveal if you yeah i guess you don't often say it yeah you know a lot of people can't pronounce it yeah you're just asking you know are you andrew yeah which is like hilarious to think of you as an andrew now In the beginning, there was just a general American assumption. I was going to be named Andrew. That adds so many layers to this. What happened? I think my dad thought it was too white. Yeah. So, Andres, let's go with something tougher that people can't pronounce. Tougher, yeah. Oh, tougher to say. Yeah. Or that one day your art school counselor will mispronounce and you'll never be able to correct her on it because you just kind of lost the moment to do so so for three years you go by andre yeah oh man so andre i was like oh just i can't do i want to do i correct there like i'm two years in i can't it's so funny because we've had this exact conversation many many times like i've heard that story many many times and what i'm about to tell you we've had the conversation about many many times but i i can't say your name it's just one of those things where whenever i say it it makes me go like damn dude like you didn't nail that you just didn't nail it well it's because you can't roll the r i can roll an r whoa i got the r rolled down it's just the like andres trying to get that going it's like andres yeah it's no you know it doesn't sound right but like it sounds so like my i'm not trying to sound as wide as i sound no but like i get it like you know what i mean like you know you're not you're not saying tortilla i know but it makes me feel that way okay the way i hear your name coming out of my mouth sounds like quesadilla okay you know i feel that i just like it and it bothers me i will say that's so happy randy i will say though that from my perspective saying andres does not feel like tortilla or quesadilla okay okay like it sounds like quesadilla or tortilla yeah but like it does not it's not close to that see because then when you some of them add the a after the e what do you mean some of them like it's like san andreas yeah exactly yeah a lot of people will say andreas yeah sometimes it's just under it's just like the word it's like the word undress yeah but with an o at the at the beginning like on dress okay well on dress more on dress we'll learn we're learning we're learning here this is kind of funny games daily everybody welcome in if you're watching live be a part of the show by super chatting on youtube.com forward slash kind of funny games we've got a lot of cool stuff to talk about today and I'm really excited to talk about how I felt being at my desk and having Barrett walk by Roger and Roger go Barrett how do you feel about the young rock playing Ganondorf and he said what and then I said the young rock and he said and then Roger revealed to me there's many young rocks of course there's like I didn't know that ages to the rock well I thought it was like a young Sheldon situation no where there's a young Sheldon yeah no no no this is like we see the evolution we do from pebble stone yeah we see the geo dude into the i never thought about stone cold rock you know what i mean oh shit very i don't know what you call those things species i just there has to be some better day if you don't elements or like it's not elements it's like man this is one of them dumb shows like parts of the planet or no like what what's a good name for I often think of what's the longer version of Geo?
7:04Nick Scarpino:Do you know what I mean? I often think of one of my best bits which was what if Stone Cold worked at Cold Stone?
7:16And get to the back of the line because Cold Stone said so. One scoop. One scoop. Two scoops. If you're watching live uh once again be a part of the show by super chatting we couldn't do this without our producers on patreon.com forward slash kind of funny so thank you to our amazing producers carl jacobs omega buster delaney the psalm twining and lax nomad you're the best of us for now let's begin with what is and forever will be the roper report it's time for some news we have five stories
8:03story number one grand theft auto 6 and it's an extended look premieres on netflix this month rockstar confirms this comes from tom phillips at ign rather than a straightforward gta 6 trailer 3 this special event showcase sounds like it will offer fans a far deeper dive on rock stars highly anticipated blockbuster grand theft auto six an extended look will become available to stream via netflix on thursday august 27th at 12 p.m pacific time 3 p.m eastern don't have a netflix subscription do not fear grand theft auto six an extended look will become available on every social media platform when everybody leaks it at right afterwards and it'll also become available to watch on YouTube, though not for another six hours.
8:52I added that part. It'll be available to watch on YouTube after six hours. Its official debut to stream via YouTube will be at 6 p.m. Pacific, 9 p.m. Eastern on August 27th. So people on the East Coast, put the kids to bed. Daddy and mommy are, we're getting together. We're going to have a great night. 9 p.m. Having some late night dinner. Her shirt just says Batty, dude. I mean, she is a Batty. Come on, dude. Super sick. My God. This is wild. My mind goes to a lot of different places. First off, I'm like, that sucks that if you don't have Netflix, you won't be able to watch it. Shut up. Are you kidding me?
9:29But also, it's going to be everywhere.
9:31Nick Scarpino:That is such a silly thing to say. I think it's, to me, it's not like they're going to need to torrent this. It's not like they're going to need to go out of their way to find this if they can't either pay for a Netflix subscription or have one already. Just go to Twitter. 100%. 100%. Maybe that's the second thing I thought. The first thing I thought was, how much of a bag did Netflix talk for this? Me and Barry were talking about it. I think that this is in the$10 million range. I think that this is a lot of money. Because here's the thing. This is a get. This will get some people to subscribe.
10:06Nick Scarpino:Will it be worth the money? That's not how these engagement plays function. And on top of that, Netflix subscriptions, people might be like, why would they put it behind a payroll? GTA doesn't need this. It needs it for two reasons. Netflix is the most subscribed streaming service. When you get placement on that front page, specifically if it's for something like a live event or whatever, you are getting eyes on level. You're not getting pretty much anywhere else. And couple that with the fact that you're also going to be everywhere else. That's the thing. It's not like it's only on Netflix. We're talking about an exclusivity window for hours in official platforms.
10:38Nick Scarpino:That's going to be fine. More than that, this gets even more mainstream news coverage from everywhere covering this is happening on Netflix. that you wouldn't get if it just dropped on YouTube or social media or whatever. The Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight could not really handle that many live viewers. Yeah. We'll see what the infrastructure is. We'll see. I mean, will it be live? That's the thing. I imagine it won't be live. I imagine it'll just be a VOD, which would be the smart call here. Oh, you said live events. I was like, damn. I didn't know it was a live event. If they were to do that. Okay, gotcha.
11:08Nick Scarpino:That is. And they have strengthened their infrastructure considerably. They've been doing a lot of different tests. They run raw. Raw's not getting. those level of numbers but like every week they've been doing that a lot of the reality shows their reunions are live and like they've had their systems go down for love is blind before and like the the big reunions where millions and millions and millions of people are watching because that netflix is their source of content it is their source of information which is terrifying andy yeah terrifying but that's how people are going to learn about gta 6 there are going to be millions of people that know for the first time gta 6 is coming out because of netflix really you think that like yeah and these are people that are not these are gia's friends who are not playing games at all but they are they're gonna see it yeah so if we go back to 2018 may 2nd 2018 the third official trailer for red dead redemption 2 was two minutes and nine seconds does this succeed that tim extended look makes me think so okay and it's funny that you said you have the first two things you thought about because the first thing i thought about is what the fuck are we gonna do this sucks how are we gonna live react to this you know do we wait and that's my thing no we don't wait because it's gonna leak everywhere right that's the problem we can't live react on youtube because they're not allowing it on youtube it'll we'll get taken down immediately so we are kind of in that weird catch 22 thing this has happened to us before with disney plus when they uh put out that the marvel phase four lineup uh preview no i'm saying do we wait for the youtube yeah no because at that point it's old ass news we're literally talking about six hours later hell no so what we're gonna do is we're gonna live react to it tell everyone hit play on fucking netflix and we'll deal with it and then hours later we just maybe maybe if it's even worth it re-edit and upload another version that has so that people can actually see the youtube thing okay but here's now we're talking business now we're talking that those first several hours youtube is going to be flooded and here comes kind of funny bam brand new video on your feed six hours later with the youtube premiere a champion of the people you don't for all the for all the low lead out there that do not have netflix we're your guys we are going to be reacting six hours later and i'm really just kind of going with the same sort of mantra we had when we couldn't make it back to san francisco from la and react to the Xbox showcase several many hours later because our flights were delayed or whatever could this be one of those situations no this is Grand Theft Auto 6 yeah no what you're saying if we could do two we could then live react on YouTube at six again after we've just discussed it for hours because that's what we're going to do the discussion is going to be the point right it's going to be the like us talking about everything that we saw for the games cast in between we have a little time to plan this though August 27th I thought this when I first saw this this morning i thought it was next week it's not we got a couple weeks away yeah august just started to roll we're rolling through it though we're already on the six we're rolling now that i was oh man i hate that what sort of content do we think we're seeing in it i mean with the word extended look you bring up that like that's a massive word yeah is it sub 10 are we going let's put the over under is it under 10 minutes or over 10 minutes i'm thinking right around 10 minutes is what makes this hard.
14:35Nick Scarpino:Like I can see it being 8 minutes and I can see it being 15. You know, like it's somewhere in there. Are we getting it being on Netflix doesn't mean shit. Like it could literally just be 8 minutes. I think that we're going to get gameplay here though. Like I do think that this is going to be a bit more of a, this is actually what GTA 6 is. Look, i can imagine this being having some level of voiceover and like walk through okay that's that's that was gonna be my next question do we get a in grand theft auto 6 yeah you know take the role of jason or lucy at any whatever the hell like are we what's the place called floridia it's not no it's definitely not that it's a weird name yeah i don't really i never remember it and I don't like it.
15:25Yeah. Um, are we trying to appease the non gamers and just show like 10 minutes of gameplay with narrative stuff that has no voiceover? Or are we trying to also a piece of the gamers and say, here's this function, here's this mechanic pointed out with a narrator.
15:48Nick Scarpino:I think it's in between. So Leonida is the name of Leonida. Yeah. I think it's in between where I do think this is one of those moments of proving to the normies, proving to Gia's friends. Look what video games are. You thought that they were just flips and bloops. You see your nephews playing Roblox and Fortnite. Yeah. And it's like, no, look what video games can be at this point at the highest state of production value. I think that they don't need to get too in-depth because you've got to imagine that this is the beginning of, all right, y 'all, we're not going to stop hearing about GTA 6 for the next couple months.
16:26Nick Scarpino:You know what I mean? This is just a beat, but I feel like this is the big beat to kind of kick everything off of like, so they'll have opportunities to speak to all of the different audiences over time, but I do think - Going to start the slow drip of info? Yeah. I don't think it'll be slow. I think it's going to be overwhelming, like an avalanche. Damn. Yeah. That's powerful. It is. That's a powerful thing you just said right there. I'm hoping we get, you know, more in-depth stuff as to what got our protagonists in this situation. I hope we just get more context for things, as opposed to unrelated clips just showing, you know, you know, I'd do anything for you, Lucia, and it cuts to another guy, and, you know, I think of the way anime trailers are Where it's just like You just hear voiceover stuff of I would never let you go in my life That's the strongest person we've ever fought I left the oven on Back at home I want to see context for what these people Are doing and what their relationships Are with the other side characters I kind of feel like we got that A bit more in that last trailer Because the first trailer I agree was a little More just like hey Vibes of the world yeah we did see our protagonists but like we didn't really get to know them i do feel like the second one like i we can always use more context but i kind of get what's going on like this is going to be a story about a couple i'm most interested in that raul guy dude with the long hair okay yeah gun yeah sexy yeah i want context with him of like in raul's missions here's what you could sort of expect here's what he's coming to you for he's maybe the the bounty guy or whatever and that other person is the tech dude or whatever the hell like i that's the sort of context i want um just like to kind of give me an idea of what the gameplay loop could be you've been living in a what are we what are we going to call it a red hole a dead hole oh god a red dead hole a big old red hole yeah let's go with red hole uh you've been living in that red hole and i i see it happening to you you're just engrossed by these these characters these stories I always know Andy's loving something when Andy starts texting me.
18:40Nick Scarpino:You know what I mean? When I start sending you clips. He says, Tim, just watch this. He'll just say, just watch this. Yeah. And I always do. It's what I do to my dad. I love it. I love it. Me and your dad together. By the way, the Blu-ray is on the way. Oh. The Furious. It'll be here soon. So context for the chat. He bought me the Blu-ray for what? The Furious. The Furious. That awesome fighting movie. Because I'm sure that you and your dad are going to love it. Oh, yeah. I'm going to take that shit home. But you've been sending me clips of Red Dead. So I get the zone that you're in and I feel like you're being mind blown all over again.
19:09Nick Scarpino:Yes. What do you think from your experience right now playing Red Dead Redemption 2, do you think that they're going to try to present to a more mainstream audience with wowing them with what a video game can be with Grand Theft Auto 6? If anything. It's a weird conversation because I had this thought recently that I love Michael Franklin and Trevor like I love action movie characters. But I love Arthur Morgan like I love the characters I love the most in any medium. I think he's just supremely well written and incredibly well performed by Roger Clark. like that it's it's a different level and i don't know if that's it's definitely part rockstar evolving and getting just better at their craft but it's also part direction i think grand theft auto is definitely the modern times more you know kind of bombastic and what it's doing it could be it could be a bit more silly but there's something about the western frontier type of setting that we're in in Red Dead Redemption 2 that I don't know maybe there's definitely a lot of silly shit in it for sure but it allows you to kind of be a bit more serious in your approach to how these characters act and interact um I I really hope to see a nice blending of both like I still want the silliness from Grand Theft Auto every time we've talked about Grand Theft Auto 6, the inevitable conversation gets brought up.
20:48How the hell are you going to satirize the current day and age? And they're going to try, obviously. They're going to try to do a lot of that. We've seen in the trailers of TikTok and social media. We've seen the reports of you're constantly looking at your phone app and that's how you're kind of alerted to things in the world or whatever. Sounds super fun. But I'm really hoping that we get a nice blending of like really serious moments between these characters and it's not just i hope it's leans a bit more drama than drama than comedy in some parts yeah and i mean
21:28Nick Scarpino:i do think that the setup even here of the relationship is uh a much it's easier to like attach yourself to exactly and it's more grounded exactly like you took both words out of my mouth As I was saying, that's so funny. Easier and grounded. And I do think it's accessible to more people as well. So that's why this Netflix stuff makes a lot of sense to me. It's like you want to present this in a way of like enticing people, even if they thought that there's no chance in hell they'd ever be interested in a video game or Grand Theft Auto. I think that this is an opportunity for new people to be brought onto this thing and be like, oh, wow.
22:04Nick Scarpino:I want to know more about this. I want to play this or I want to see someone play this or whatever that is, right? so i really hope so i hope that this is a moment that can turn around lapsed gamers lapsed fans of gaming lapsed gamers and even people that have maybe had a somewhat of a small interest in the medium and maybe haven't played since mario whatever the hell or whatever thing they played as a kid or some people that play gta 3 and have not gamed in 25 years or 20 years or whatever i think this could be a really cool opportunity to show people like you mentioned early on this is what we're doing now in the medium and we are the best at what we're doing yeah i think it'd be really really awesome absolutely i'm so excited here's the thing i know that gamers get upset about this but it's like last of us was a very very big deal as a video game and then as a tv show and then what the tv show did to the video game i have never, ever, ever, and I pay attention to this stuff, seeing more new people show up on Twitch or Instagram Lives or whatever, playing through their first video game ever, and it was Last of Us because they watched Last of Us on Netflix, or sorry, on HBO.
23:16Nick Scarpino:It's just undeniable. We see the numbers. There's anecdotal evidence, but there's also real backed up evidence of that happening with the sales of the game and otherwise. Grand Theft Auto 6, and being presented this way, it's a unique opportunity to... It doesn't need an adaptation to sell itself. It could sell itself. Yeah. And it's because we look at this game. It looks like something worth watching. Yeah. You know? So I feel like that is a major unique difference for the highest budgeted entertainment property of all time. You know? Like, this thing is obviously going to change the game in so many different ways.
23:56Nick Scarpino:And it marketing itself differently, I think, is a very, very smart call. and also probably getting the bag for this even more money that they do not need yeah if anything gamers yearn for grand theft auto because it's grand theft auto they know what they're getting but i think anybody who's just out there consuming media yearns for awesome stories and if this can deliver on that if this can deliver that level of drama we saw something like the movie obsession blow up by word of mouth because people were just so impressed by the story and the acting and the characters and and if this can kind of have that groundswell of you may not be into gaming but this is an awesome you know almost like one battle after another you know level of like action and stuff that we're going for you may not even be into gaming but this could be the end this could be the gateway drug getting people to do things they don't normally do yeah because it's just that talked about and that tantalizing yeah man they got it there also this is a pretty damn good sign not that i didn't believe this at this point this ain't getting delayed yeah shit is hitting november 19th yeah i had seen some other rumors out there of like oof i don't know maybe we still delay or whatever i this makes me a lot more you know feel a lot more certain than it is going to hit that date uh super chat here from the silence says wild take but what if gta 6 streams on streams on netflix games at launch netflix got the bag to pay out for it i i don't think so no no they know there's too much there have been too many um like discussions and things about finances they are set in what they are going to do and in their plans if it does maybe eight years down the line or something like that yeah yeah for sure but i they know what they're doing they're set and they're kind of ready and all those numbers they're looking at they're like wow we're about to hit it huge no there's just there's just too much money on the table to to play around with certain things yeah with exclusivity and things like that it's like no we can't be doing that looking at the super chat without reading it just kind of like seeing the words i thought it was going to go a different direction that i think could be very interesting there's a lot of things that would have to be figured out to make this happen but i thought this was saying what's the chances of when this game comes out netflix having streamers playing the game on it you know like twitch streams of showing off the game i think that that is the type of crazy marketing stuff that like that'd be very interesting i'm saying everybody i'm saying they pinpoint people get paid there is just like they treat it like a show get mike on a treadmill.
26:45Nick Scarpino:Get Mike on a treadmill, yeah. Professor White T says, damn, so you're just going to bump Mike and Roger, SMH. What do you mean? Oh, shit. What? August 27th is the Skyrim stream. We're going to have to figure that out. Damn. Yeah, we'll figure it out. We'll figure it out. I got some ideas. Morris Wine,$5 Super Chat, says, just got in. Super Chat for the hype. Nice. 32:46Oh, that could be a...
32:47Nick Scarpino:That could be interesting. That could be a neat one. I don't know why my mind immediately goes to the characters in Interstellar talking about the Dust Bowl. Yeah. Like the way that that sort of starts with a movie. So what a movie. Geez. Here's this thing about Interstellar. All the time. Think about it all the time. Too much, man. It's about Rope on fire. Jack Video Gamer with a$5 Super Chat says, With this news, do you think we'll get anything GTA 6 related during Gamescom? 34:13Nintendo's financial report has been revealed. Here's a bunch of tidbits via Stealth40k on Twitter. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sales have not slowed down. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sales as of June 30th, 71.53 million units. The increase from last quarter was 450 ,000.
Read the full transcript
34:33Nick Scarpino:That's crazy. I mean, the important context there is what we're about to get to, which is Mario Kart World is at just over 15 million. And it's increased from last quarter was 690k. So 690k for Mario Kart World, 450k for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It is still selling almost like two thirds as much as the newer version. Granted, Switch 2 versus Switch 1, the install base makes a lot of sense. But how are there still people out there that don't have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe? I bet you in some cases, Tim, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was sold for more than Mario Kart World. Like if some people bought Mario Kart World on a Black Friday deal, but there's still people buying Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at like this.
35:19It's the sale price, but it's like, you know,$59.92 or whatever. Fascinating. Animal Crossing New Horizons passed 50 million units sold. The sales as of June 30th are 50.29 million units. increase from last quarter was 380 ,000 digital sales of the switch to edition count toward the total the digital versus physical sales ratio on digital they are 61.5 percent and physical 38.5
35:48Nick Scarpino:that's uh especially right now a very interesting stat to talk about because nintendo have always been the company that it has the strongest physical turnout that's still very clearly true here based on the other numbers that we've seen that's way higher than i would have assumed but these numbers are going down yeah these numbers are going down year over year we're seeing a dramatic increase in the digital side of things which obviously makes sense for a lot of reasons but yeah man this is a trend that i do not see that none of that i don't see that will not reverse i'm doing my part then i appreciate you man yesterday on the gregway i showed off a lot of new additions to my physical collection i talked about on games i bookmarked this i need to watch it.
36:27Nick Scarpino:I haven't watched it yet. Well, there's just one gem that I'll spoil for you right now. I got it in last week. Astral Chain. Fuck yeah, you did. What a game. What a game Astral Chain is. Remaster that. Don't even remaster it. Just fucking go in there. Do the patch. Open the knob, Tim. Open the knob that says limit to 30 frames and then you do unlock. Bam. That's all you got to do. That's all you got to do. All you got to do. Astral Chain rocks. Tomodachi or Tomodachi Life. Living the Dream sold 8 million units worldwide that's a huge fucking win tomodoshi life eight million it is a cross-gen so that's important okay but still that's insane that is fucking insane for a title like that i've seen so many people talking about how it has kind of infiltrated a lot of like gen z and gen alpha and that brings so much joy to my heart like i get so excited whenever young kids are just gaming on things that aren't what we're expecting fortnight roblox all that shit um something like tomodachi life to be able to kind of like infiltrate that world of people that and and it being this game that sort of spreads by word of mouth is awesome i mean i think there's something so important like a talking point that we've discussed before but i feel like we're now actually seeing the fruits of all this happening is that 10 years ago when maybe even a little bit more than 10 years ago 12 13 years ago when everyone was talking about the ps4 and the xbox one and all of that nintendo was just such a joke because like oh the wii u and the 3ds it's for little fucking kids and they're making bad decisions and all this stuff the reality was parents were buying their kids 3ds and ds's and these kids were playing these games and there was a generation of kids that are now a little bit older that get to choose to be gamers on their own dime yeah and they yearn for their nostalgia which is 3ds games tomodachi life and things like that like there's an era that passed us by because we were beyond that we were a generation older than that but like nintendo continues in the same way that every generation of kids has their pokemon and that we will always be the most loud most annoying because gen one is our stuff in the 150 and they're the ones that matter the most and they're the ones celebrated the most at every anniversary because you know like it's always going to be the biggest number but the reality is that you know every sobble is some kids starting pokemon that he fucks with more than anything and it's like watching the cartoon that is his cartoon experience that is his pokemon the same is just true for nintendo period where it's like the console and the games that came out during that time the weird things that they had it's like that meant everything to them so i'm not surprised that this is happening because i do think that the switch has been the great equalizer of there is no console and handheld there's just the nintendo and whether you're our generation or their generation nintendo's continue i think serving both more than they ever have and it might feel inconsistent if you're just one or the other but if you open your heart to nintendo's offerings like you're getting a lot of varied experiences and you are creating foundational moments for these up-and-coming gamers um tim sebastian guerrero and chat uh thinks that we should stop complaining about 30 frames per second and give it a rest sebastian can i get the one thank you barrett from now on you are only allowed to ride in a horse on a horse and buggy to work, you are only allowed a CRT television, and you can only play on a Super Nintendo for the rest of your life, and also no water purification, okay?
40:17If you want to live in the fucking Stone Age, you're only ever going to go hunt for your food now, okay? And you're only ever going to play 30 frames per second games for the rest of your life. so ride your fucking brontosaurus to work and get out of my chat get out of the chat 30 frame per sec quit complaining guys quit wanting more quit expecting more of these companies won't you just allow allow them to be tim allow these companies to just not give us more why would you want more tim sebastian can i get the one sebastian i was I expect more of you.
40:58Nick Scarpino:Someone in the chat earlier, don't know their name. I don't even need to call them out specifically because it's not worth it. But they're just like, you're trying to profit off of a dead dog. It's a bad look. Two things I say to that. One, you can go to kindoffunny.com slash store and get the Portillo plushie now. Two, calling somebody a dead dog. Like, go fuck yourself. That is so much more disrespectful than us showing love to a fallen comrade, you motherfucker dead dog is such a fucking trigger instead of words get the fuck out of here you and Sebastian go fucking play 30 frame per second video games together god damn it go play system link old games alright where are we what are we doing what show is this Nintendo Switch 2 hardware 23 million Mario Kart world at 15.39 million sold.
41:59Donkey Kong Bonanza, 4.78. What does that do for you, Tim?
42:03Nick Scarpino:I mean, it makes sense relative scale, right? When you're looking at the percentage. And this day and age. Well, this day, but no more so just like there's only 24 million. The attach rate. Switch 2 is out there. So it's just like 5 million of those people. That's a high percentage, right? But that also shows that it's not Mario Odyssey, right? I wonder what Mario Odyssey's sales were one year into the Switch 1, right? Because Mario Odyssey came out months after the Switch 1. Donkey Kong Bonanza came out months after the Switch 1. So we're not getting that launch title boost that Mario Kart World, especially with it being bundled, and Zelda Breath of the Wild got on their respective systems, right?
42:51Nick Scarpino:So. I want to say something controversial, Tim. Hit me with that. I think if anything, even after the Seth Rogen bump of the first movie, that this shows Donkey Kong, you're not him. Well, I look at it a different way. Mario's still got it. It's Mario. So like, yeah. But like, but not just that, more of like, we thought you could get close. and i don't know about that i just don't think you're there yeah but i i don't think he's there either but i don't think anyone should have expected him to be there do you think that they're that they thought their numbers would be much higher than four seven eight four million 4.78 million much higher no a little higher maybe it just being the nintendo team that made it but But I'm also very of the mind that that's just part of the team and that we are getting a 3D Mario next year.
43:53Do you think it also teaches them that regardless of whether you're, you are the, you know, in a movie, you play a big role in a movie that makes billions of dollars or whatever, you know, first Mario movie made a shitload of money. that even that gigantic bump can't really do a whole lot for Donkey Kong more than they would have done. But I mean, I just, we need to be real about the numbers of Donkey Kong. Because I also think of the Star Fox situation of like, Miyamoto said, yeah, we wanted to make the Star Fox game or whatever because we knew he was going to be in the movie or whatever. We wanted to have that remade.
44:31And I wonder if they're like, okay, we've had two examples of not getting the bump that we thought it would.
44:37Nick Scarpino:But I mean, you keep saying that, but how is that true? Where are we at with sales of Donkey Kong? I look at Donkey Kong Bonanza as being one of the few games you can buy on Switch 2, being that big, and only being at 4.78. I think it's pretty disappointing. I would have expected around like, because there wasn't a shitload of games to buy at the time. I would have expected closer to maybe 8 or something like that. Yeah, I don't, I mean, I'm just comparing it to other Donkey Kong games Darren, I saw you bring it up, but I didn't see the numbers Like, where are we at? Compared to Donkey Kong 64, it hasn't reached the worldwide sales of Donkey Kong 64 It's very close, though Yeah It's also, it's an interesting thing because The 3D side of Donkey Kong, I think, is something that Not a lot of people, like, know Donkey, like, know to go to Donkey Kong 4, right?
45:29because if you look at like donkey kong country returns and like tropical where's tropical freeze like that's what i want to look at tropical freezes uh cumulative uh between the wii u and switch is
45:41Nick Scarpino:at 4.6 yeah so it's like this selling as much as tropical freeze did within a year on the switch which had way more install base i i understand all that but i'm just coming from the angle of like you just put out a movie that made over a billion dollars that so many kids saw and like was it really a needle mover and i don't know i mean did they really want like need it to be though maybe they just really wanted to make a really i mean they stopped not you know this was the reason why there isn't a mario game right the reason there is no mario i don't think so i i think you think there's a mario 3d platformer in development right now that like well yes of course but but i i think it's i i think that this is all strategy of it's legit just strategy of understanding the install base of like the reason we don't have an animal crossing and a 3d mario and we're not getting pokemon wins and waves until a couple years into the switch too they want as many switch twos out there they know they're going to sell the fucking hell out of that out of those games yeah you're going to sell way more copies of 3d mario in 2027 than you would have this year way more and i know that you will over time anyways it's still it's way way way more i think and i think donkey kong is like yeah let's try to get another franchise to get that boost and i do think it got a boost here i don't think it's the biggest boost ever like i agree with you that like i am like all right this isn't like incredibly impressive but i do think for making donkey kong a yeah a bigger name in the nintendo lineup of video games obviously nintendo cares about him a lot he has a theme park that's crazy would have sold a lot more if he was in part two where was he in the movie why wasn't he in the second movie he was all running around that's crazy though yeah it is crazy the movie ended i was like shit he didn't get seth rogan in there at all not every franchise needs to be a pillar i would say but you got to have like a good breadth of just like good shit out there and i think donkey kong is one of those i don't disagree that not every but like it'd be awesome like oh yeah yeah you know i i i don't know i feel i feel like they look at those others and we're like damn maybe that movie didn't think what we thought it would do pokemon legends switch to 3.99 million that one i'm surprised by i feel like that'd be higher but it's just the switch 2 edition oh gotcha gotcha pokemon pocopia 3.68 which is still less than what i thought i would do i i really under or overestimated what i thought this game would do switch to we're still in this place dude there's only and a lot of it is anecdotal a lot of it is anecdotal but i had like four friends of mine yeah three of them non-gamers yeah buying a switch to for this and i was like this game's gonna go crazy dude we're gonna see animal crossing levels of shit here and uh granted it's only been several months or whatever Super Mario Party Jamboree Switch 2 Edition, 1.15 million.
48:39You just skipped the most important number. Kirby Air Riders, 1.9. Almost 2 million copies of Kirby Air Riders. Let's fucking go, Sakurai. 1.9 million for Roger's Game of the Year last year. Yeah, I think about that often.
48:56Nintendo Switch hardware and software sales update. That was, well.
49:03Nick Scarpino:That was that. Oh, that's just a little typo right there. So Air Riders. No, sorry. This is Switch 1 hardware update. There's no info on it, but if we click into the link, Switch 1 is at 156.59 million now. So Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the number one game at 71 million. Animal Crossing New Horizons at 50 at number two. Smash Ultimate at 38. Zelda Breath of the Wild at 34. Mario Odyssey at 30. Scarlet and Violet at 28. and Sword and Shield at 27. Tears of the Kingdom at 22. Unbelievable. Yeah. They're just in such a great spot, I think, regardless of how bad the industry is right now and hardware and everybody's thoughts about prices going up and just everything being in turmoil.
50:00You are right. They are that great equalizer. they keep everything in check and it's like yeah we probably fucked up in making super mario kart world 80 bucks at launch we've kind of adjusted there we know that our hardware is going up so let's maybe make a lot of like i i don't think they fucked up with that for for the price of of
50:22Nick Scarpino:what of mario kart world i think they shouldn't have done it but i understand why they did it and it made them a lot of money. But I just think that, like, seeing the other games since then, like, do you think that was a direct reactionary move? Really? You thought that, you think that Mario Kart World would have been the only$80 game had hardware not gone up? No, I think we'll get more$80 games. No, I think so, too. I think Pokemon will be one of those. But I believe that we would have had a couple of more had there not been the hardware issue. I just, I don't think, looking at Nintendo's lineup, up they're just we haven't had 80 games we've had star fox and yoshi's mysterious well i don't think mario kart world's an 80 game well i mean it's mario kart so it is like there's mario kart there's grand theft auto there's like the pokemon games it's like it almost doesn't matter if the quality of the game is it's like they know they can get away with it they couldn't get away with that with yoshi couldn't get away with a donkey kong
51:17Nick Scarpino:mario karts that cheat code i mean as evidenced here by mario kart 8 deluxe still selling this much yeah the last number i want to bring up here to strengthen the point you're making about Nintendo great equalizer shit is at number 10. We have new super Mario bros. You deluxe at just shy of 20 million units sold on the switch. That is a ports of a Wii U launch game that everybody was pissed about. Yeah, that game kicks ass. And the game kicks ass. It's so good. And they were wrong at the time, Tim. I get it. I fucking get it. But they were pissed. So close to 20 million. That's unbelievable. Yeah.
51:53The great equalizer Nintendo. Story number three. Yuli Latukafu has been cast as the villain Ganondorf in the Legend of Zelda movie. This comes from New York Times pop culture reporter Kyle Buchanan. The movie is months away. They still haven't announced any actors besides the two leads. So here's a freebie. I've been hearing the iconic series. Villain Ganondorf is played by Australian actor Yuli Latukafu. And it seems like it's more official now since Roger kind of put this in the doc. because I believe, Tim, can you check to see Variety's like officially reporting on it?
52:27Nick Scarpino:This is the only thing I saw of it so far from Kyle. Yeah, I think there have been more official things since then. Or Deadline has confirmed it. Best known for the show, The Young Rock. Yeah, man. I mean, look at him. He looks like a young rock. Okay, but how young was The Rock during the show? How young was the aforementioned rock? I expected it like a baby. but like and now at this age he might be started out as a baby someone's gonna need to correct me where i'm wrong here because i might blow your mind did not watch young rock what but i'm pretty sure the premise of young rock is the rock in real time now the rock we know is president yes or he's running for president telling the story of his life and it's going back and it's through different eras and phases damn i didn't know that yeah yeah so there's like a bunch of different rocks that we always kind of check back in on and i see in chad he played the oldest of the three young rocks yeah i mean you can look at him he looks like the rock in you know pre-attitude era like not what nice is that a handsome motherfucker and is the dwarf dude hell yeah i mean i'll be a good looking dwarf yeah i'm trying to look into like what iteration of the uh dwarf do we think he could go for i think there's just the dwarf like from ocarina okay like that's the icon it's not wind wakerdorf right like no yeah no he's gonna he's gonna be olive green skinned he's gonna be he's gonna have some prosthetics for the ears and the nose uh there will be the only thing i'm worried about is like how awkward the red hair might look how do you make that in a way that doesn't look too cartoon well twilight princess right i feel like twilight princess was is the boring answer to that of like let's just make everything look real yeah just more of a re uh muted like realistic yeah head it's gotta be pre-muted i like i'd be down for yeah just going ocarina i'm fearful that we're gonna go hey let's do the most recent thing that people would recognize which is the tears of the kingdom dwarf which i do like that iteration but i wouldn't want it for this movie i yeah i think they just look at like i hope they just go ganon straight up ganon drop the door the pig the big pig pig him up he's yuli's like damn i got cast i'm gonna be like when do i start get my workout regimen going i'm gonna have to get and they're like no no you're just gonna be voicing the pig you don't want me for my body also like no just the pig you're only for my body this is exciting because like we're talking about this and and major casting news for a movie that we're very excited about that we know nothing about but the fact that we know nothing about this movie and it It is, I can say now, months away.
55:13Nick Scarpino:Andy, we will learn about this movie. We will learn about Ocarina of Time Remake's release date. Any moment at this point. And why is it that we're excited, Tim? Because of the director. And who is the director and what do they work on? The director is... Wes Ball. Wes Ball, thank you. I had the Wes part. Didn't have the Ball part. He directed the most recent Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, which fucking rock. Movie rules. And what I'm so excited about that movie, comparing it to Legend of Zelda, is its creatures. interacting with humans in a real world and seeing cg that looks convincing and cool and there's heart and so much heart and there's beauty and there's characters die and you're like oh my god you're a monkey and people get mad when i call them monkeys but i'm gonna keep doing it yeah i'm i'm i'm really really stoked for this um after especially after those first kind of images kind of came out those kind of test images or whatever you want to call them um i i'm cautiously optimistic with this so am i and i it needs to be said do i wish this was a miyazaki directed animated film of course this is the best case scenario for a live action and i'm very excited for it and i guess the pessimistic part of me goes like it could be a million times worse yeah it could be an awful director with like a bad track record or something and i i have hope that when the movie comes out the lowest any of us will ever be on it i think will be like a seven out of ten oh i hope so i think we're all gonna be like wow i hope so i hope so pretty pumped about it and you see uh they cast cyclops uh they're in talks with cyclops not i thought that became more official everything i'm seeing right now is he's being eyed he's in talks nothing like the guy from elden ring oh is it hit connor hit connor yeah and yeah right now it's not there's no official x-men casting except the one that we're not going to talk about but these are these are all at this point i i believe it like we the the evidence is this is going to be officially announced at d23 in a couple weeks so there's if there's been rumors for a long time and everyone's just throwing out names but like i think that we're getting to the point that oh samara weaving was the other is the other one from frost and adam driver for mr sinister those are the three that's seen most likely.
57:33Nick Scarpino:That's the one that's least... Damn, I was looking for a driver for... Yeah, Magneto. Yeah, I don't know. That would have been rad. Yeah. I looked into Kit Conner a little bit. Just the voice of the little creature friend in his dark materials. Shout out to that show. That show's great. And then also, he's the voice of Lucas in Plague Tale... Alicia! Yeah, the first one. Oh, the other kid. Yeah, the little brother. That's pretty rad. Good for him. So, what excites me about that and it just gives me an excuse to say that the Elder Ring movie wrapped filming. Oh, wait, is he in the Elder Ring movie?
58:07Yeah.
58:07Nick Scarpino:Oh, sorry, I missed that. I thought you were talking about the game. No, yeah, the Elder Ring movie wrapped filming like sometime last week and I just still can't even believe that it's real. Dude, I'm so happy for you. It's insane. I can't wait to be in that theater with you when that happens. It's fucking insane. I have so much faith for that one. They're going to get it right. Like, they're going to play the music, which is such a fucking simple thing, but they're going to do it. and I'm not sure a lot of other movie adaptations are going to do it. Foul tarnished. Story number four. Halo Studios jettisoned long-serving contractors after launch of, that's a verb right there.
58:44It really is, man. Jettisoned long-serving contractors after launch of Halo Campaign Evolved. This comes from Chris Kerr at Game Developers. So congrats to all those people who put out Campaign Evolved. Yeah. An unknown number of contract roles at Halo Studios have been eliminated following the launch of Halo Campaign Evolved. A source familiar with the situation told Game Developer, a number of employees have departed as a result of external contractor shifts. It's understood that no full-time workers have been laid off. Even so, posts from those impacted indicate multiple long-serving contractors have been jettisoned.
59:17Quote, after six and a half years working on Halo and dodging just as many rounds as layoffs, it has finally caught up to me. I have nothing but love for Halo and the folks at the studio. This is just a tough reality in the gaming industry right now. End quote. Reads a LinkedIn post from one person impacted by the decision. Quote, today I learned my time at Halo Studios will be coming to an end following the successful launch of our latest game, Halo Campaign Evolved, said another person who served as a scrum master at Halo Studios for over two years. The changes at Halo Studios come around a month after Microsoft confirmed it would be cutting 3 ,200 rolls across Xbox before the end of the current fiscal year in order to reset its flagging video game business.
1:00:01The decision resulted in Microsoft parting ways with notable studios including Double Fine, Compulsion, and Ninja Theory, while also making significant layoffs across subsidiaries such as Obsidian, id Software, and ZeniMax Online Studios. those congrats y 'all that's a great way people loving the game yep peace don't let the door hit
1:00:25Nick Scarpino:you where the good lord split you it sucks man i mean like this one is different than a lot of the other stories we've been covering recently because of the contractor thing which is like a problem that we've talked about a million times on the show and otherwise but it's just like the entire system is fucked where there are these like loopholes where you can essentially not pay people doing full-time work as full-time employees and like instead you know give them bread breadcrumbs like it's unacceptable that somebody could be a contract worker for six and a half years working on this game you know it's great like that's that is that's the problem yeah that's insane but you are in a position where you feel like you have no you don't have the leverage you don't have the power yeah and you go you're extending me for another year oh my gosh i'm so lucky yeah there's layoffs all over the place i'm so lucky to extend this year still no health care so no benefits but i'm so lucky to be doing this and um yeah so it's a disgrace it sucks it all sucks almost equally as bad as you know the id layoffs right after their dlc dropped uh for doom the dark ages revelations i was also pretty i feel like we've had the story about every launch this year except capcom right what was the uh the first light same thing happened at IO.
1:01:41Nick Scarpino:Oh, right. Right. Right. Right. It's just like, it just seems like every, every, I feel like that was directly related to Xbox because they canceled that their publishing contract for that project fantasy game. I feel like that was the direct relation here. I feel like if that didn't happen, maybe IO is still a hundred percent intact. But yeah, that's, those are some big layoff news right there, Tim. The news is, is what I said. News is, Eldering movie should be really big news as well too. If I wanted something smaller, though, say the tiniest news I needed to know about, where would I go? We would jettison our way over to the We News channel where we cover all the small news items you need to know about.
1:02:22Marvel Token Fighting Souls is out now on PC and PlayStation 5. That really caught me off guard. Didn't know that. Thought they were still in another beta or something. Beta weekend happened recently. Right. Yeah. I would have assumed there was going to be like two more of those. I don't know why. Minecraft Switch 2 Edition is launching on October 27th. A digital upgrade path will be available for Nintendo Switch players. Oh, Tim, remind me during Gamescast to tell you about the dream I had. Okay, I will. Gears of War E-Day beta kicks off today for people who have pre-ordered. It lasts until August 10th with open beta beginning August 13th.
1:03:05Pretty cool. via Wario64, and you look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation confirmed for Gamescom opening night live.
1:03:13Nick Scarpino:I was thinking about this game yesterday. It's not crazy because I think about this game. Yeah, I would. Yeah. But I was thinking about the fact of, like, alright, we have spring 2027 for the end of Final Fantasy VII Remake Trilogy. Isn't that crazy? Yeah. It's so close. We're still waiting for a date. We're still waiting for more. I was trying to think back to Rebirth, which came out at the end of February, whatever year it came out, right? I remember I did the preview event for that game in September. Jesus. Damn. The year before. So I might be playing this game soon, Andy. Isn't that crazy?
1:03:51That's too many games right now. Too many games. That's way too many damn games. Ghost Recon Wildlands Last Rites, a brand new free update, is out now and adds new content, gameplay customization features, and 4K and 60 frames per second on current-gen consoles. Sebastian, you can't play it. You stick to your 30 frame per second. If you upgrade, if you fucking upgrade this game, I swear to God. Toem 2 launches September 29th on PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. And via Twitter, Phantom Blade Zero pre-orders and an all-new 11-minute trailer go live on August 11th at 7 p.m. PT.
1:04:30Nick Scarpino:Dude, I'm so hyped for this game. I'm also just so hyped at how much these devs care about this game. Like, the fact that they're promoting this this way, I'm like, good for y 'all. Let's make this thing matter. Let's make this thing special. I hate that it's 7 p.m., you know? Yeah. It's not convenient for us at all, but like... Kind of odd. Yeah. Very cool, though. Very, very damn cool. Super exciting for them and that team and for anybody who's been looking forward to it. And apparently, I saw a lot of scuttlebutt of people saying, if this is what we saw at Summer Game Fest this past year, like people are in for a real treat which is very very exciting super cool uh and that does it for we news tim let's get into some super chats and you're wrong where you can let us know what we got wrong by writing into kindoffunny.com forward slash you're wrong can i do an irl super chat slash here please give that hand me five bucks though um yeah i'll do that later uh something that i forget if we brought up, but Deadline is talking about, we hear Cafu has inked a multi-picture deal.
1:05:36Whoa. Love that. Whoa. Again, Andy, my dream is that they go less Ocarina, more Link to the Past, and the end of that first movie is her being sent to the Dark World. Oh, shit. Come on, think about that shit. Think about that shit. I was just thinking he plays Tingle in the next movie. like his his his audition was so impressive he has so much range uh zero cool tv wrote into you're wrong says andy said earlier gtx and look was 6 p.m est and 9 p.m pst but it's 3 p.m est it's 6 p.m pst say that one more time no figure it out yourself i swapped the psts and the ests i think and i said the numbers wrong as well and I also was talking about a different game entirely.
1:06:28I was talking about Saints Row, it turns out. Wow. I had everything wrong on that one.
1:06:36A lot of your wrongs that I don't really know. A lot of them just seem kind of editorial, you know what I mean? Oh, Missing Link says, Kit Conner didn't voice the younger brother in Plague Tale. That's Hugo. He voiced Lucas in the second game, who is the alchemist's friend that helps Amicia.
1:06:54Nick Scarpino:Amicia. but I know what you're talking about, Barrett, because there was another character that wasn't the little kid, Hugo. There was like a, you go the kid from the first game. Yeah. But there was also like another kid who was like kind of the, he was also in the, in the party who hung out with you. This kid. He supplied you with drugs. Really? Wow. He was the drug runner.
1:07:20Let's see. Bander says Mario Odyssey sold 9 million copies by December, 2017 two months after launch that shit is crazy that's a lot of video games that's a lot of money um let's get into some super chats super chat which once again you could support us by super chatting in some questions comments concerns and it also helps keep the lights and the mics on here it kind of funny to help support our small 11 person 11 person business gondor's condor says they can change their name but halo suitors will always be more like the slimy drone than its iconic namesake 343 damn damn bars right there thanks for the five dollars super chat powered nabs with a five dollars who would chat says can you smell what the dwarf is cooking oh man you just made my day with that one ron mexico two dollars who would chat says tim ninth jedi on disney plus slaps is that there was a ninth jedi in season one right yes this is now a full follow Really nice Very very cool it's on the list I need to get to it I'll get to it I'm getting to it Tim I'll get to I'll get to Andor season 2 sometimes You're such a fuck I can't believe you're not allowed to get mad at Nick anymore You're not allowed to get mad at him That's crazy Here's the thing but I love season 1 though And Nick is like It's on par with Maul These are two different levels
1:08:44Nick Scarpino:Yes you also need to watch Maul I was telling you that But we're going to watch it's different. I don't think he needs to watch them all. I think really I think he can look at screenshots of mall and get as much out of it. He's he's going to get out of it. No, I don't think so. I think because I think he's into it for the art of it. I know, but I think that the story of mall, how contained it is, how you can just watch this and without spoiling anything, the things that will give him. I think it'll make him be like, alright Barrett's not completely fucking crazy for wasting his time watching all the other stuff You know what I mean?
1:09:20Nick Scarpino:Dutch, I watched the first three episodes But you get what I'm saying No, I am crazy and stupid for wasting my time with all the other stuff though You watched the first three episodes of season two and you didn't watch episodes four through nine, Arthur? You're slipping into a little Hank Hill there Oh my god, King of the Hill's so good People also say Who's the talking horse? is that oh jack no no no it's the old school like charlie charlie i just sound like a talking horse okay yeah uh what was it ed mr ed yeah there we go yeah my dad loved mr ed arthur don't you arthur oh my god the other day tim was amazing uh fucking um a goddamn arthur gets i get shot in the shoulder at point blank range captured things are not looking good for arthur he's all woozy he's lost blood he ends up like escaping from his constraints fucking cauterizes his wound and dude i i escape out of there i had one failed escape though because there was a guy who was i was like crouching around trying to stealth but i'm all fucked up and i throw my knife at him and it just like it just hit him in the back of the head like i thought i was just gonna hit him with but it's like, oh, he's weak.
1:10:33He can't really do that. I had to get out of there. I had to get out of Dodge. And then fast forward, you know, cut scene happens. Arthur, you know, it shows Arthur waking up much bigger, bushy beard, longer hair. He's been knocked out for a while, right? I mean, this isn't his first time waking up, but it's clear a lot of recovery time from this gunshot that he had to himself heal. And everybody's like, Arthur, we're so worried about you. Arthur, we're so good. Arthur, how you doing, Arthur? And Dutch walks up to me and he's like, But Arthur, a lot of people in the camp are saying that maybe you're not contributing too much.
1:11:08Maybe you should, you know, contribute to the camp funds a bit more. Like, motherfucker, I was just and Chad was just making the joke that like Dutch is going to come up to you and ask for money to donate to the camp. And sure as fuck, this motherfucker doesn't care at all that I just had a gun, a shotgun wound in my shoulder. Arthur, people are talking. I know. I know you want to contribute, Arthur. I believe that you want to, all right? Prove them wrong, Arthur.
1:11:33Nick Scarpino:I just can't believe, Andy, how much you're telling me the story. And in my mind, it's Arthur talking to a horse.
1:11:46Arthur, I need more hay, Arthur. Dutch, where am I going to get that hay at, Dutch? Zach says, we need a Mario game where he can't take his niece anywhere. And she keeps rubbing mustard in her face. I don't know what that means. I don't know what that means either. Actually, I know what that means. It's a Mario Lopez reference.
1:12:08Nick Scarpino:Oh, you're right. Mario Lopez went crazy. That was fucking not okay. That was one of those things. It's like, oh, you're done forever. Like, I didn't know you were a problem. I always thought you might be. But now I'm like, oh, no, no, no, no, no. My first thought was, even though I know he wasn't a professional athlete, my first thought was Mario Lopez has CTE. like this is something that we've seen athletes in the past who have endured 10 years of football and we know they're like oh you're not right right now something's going wrong why would you post a video of your niece an ai video of her eating two hot dogs and then rubbing mustard all over her mouth i can't take my niece anywhere like you're fucking insane you're fucking insane That is the most embarrassing shit I've ever seen in my life.
