4:39twitch is not live kevin that's what the chat is saying the chat is there but they're not watching they're chatting it up kevin's running he's looking the computer right before we went live it broke so kevin had to reset it which often cause a bunch of problems so kevin we have our best men on it okay he's running around everything's going on a lot um but it's okay we can start reading the story we're locked be patient with the the b-roll it'll come later kevin you don't need to run it's okay story number one twitch ceo says gta 6's multiplayer mode will launch next year this comes from chris scullion at vgc the ceo of twitch has stated that the multiplayer mode will be released in 2027 in an interview with bloomberg dan clancy was discussing other game publishers deciding to avoid gta 6 by either releasing their games in october or holding them back until after the launch period of rockstar's game cools down clancy suggested that publishers who opt for the latter option may have to wait longer than expected because when GTA 6 multiplayer mode arrives, it'll only see Rockstar's game surge in popularity even more.
5:40We spend a lot of time talking with Rockstar about their plans and also helping them think about how they can engage our creators. You're going to see this big bump with GTA 6, but then an even bigger one next year when they launch multiplayer. It's not clear whether Clancy was explicitly confirming GTA 6 will be getting multiplayer next year or merely making an educated guess, but his claim that Twitch has been talking with Rockstar about their plans suggests at least some degree of knowledge about what lies in the future. Elsewhere in the interview, Clancy said he was confident that the release of GTA 6 will have a major impact on Twitch viewership, including the return of users who haven't visited in a while.
6:13It will absolutely spike the overall viewership meaningfully, he said. How much? I got no idea. That's Dan Clancy for you, Mike. Dan Clancy's a very interesting man. Yes. You know, here's the deal, Tim. What does Dan Clancy know? Does he know anything? Does he know it all? What has the talks been with Rockstar? Of course, he is the head of a major live streaming platform that, of course, is at the forefront of video games and live streaming. What are those talks been with Rockstar? I'm sure he's had some talks. Does he know it all? I don't know. Who knows? I think you're right. This is one of those times where it's like this is a man that is in a position to have a lot of knowledge, to know a lot of things that other people don't know.
6:55He is literally talking to the teams that would know the answers. Then there's the other side of that of like, okay, but we're talking about the answer here being the release date of GTA Online, whatever that looks like, the GTA 6 version of GTA Online. And I think that the safest bet at this point in time on September 18th, 2026, we would bet the GTA Online is next year. We know it's not this year, right? So because of that, how they've done things in the past, you can kind of look at it and be like, I wouldn't be surprised. I would probably be like, yeah, 2027 is a likely bet for when they're targeting GTA 6 online coming out.
7:34And that's the thing. Will this actually happen? I think there's a lot less likely a chance there. I think GTA's online is going to involve a lot more, clearly, server tests and things like that. So I would not be surprised if they let GTA 6 kind of linger a little bit longer than we might have expected. because I mean think about all the scuttlebutt we've had the all the conversations we've had the last couple years about what what are they going to do with GTA 6 and online will it be together will be a month later like what will it be like and to be where we're at now it's like oh wow it very clearly is like they're going to let the solo experience shine for a long time which makes a lot of sense you know Tim it's all solid educated educated guesses and we will see what the true answer is when it finally becomes time, but they're going to let that single player rock, but it'll be interesting to see what the vibe is after the single player releases.
8:27Does GTA 5 online see a massive bump? Do people start to groan of going, hey, I've had fun in Los Santos, but I am ready for this next experience, right? We just saw NoPixel come out with their big RP server, right? So will that kind of take the forefront of where people's attention is? And it's like, when will we get six? Well, people just want six online right away. I mean, it's a great guess of next year. Be ready. I think we all can agree on that. Like you said, they're targeting that. We'll see where it goes. Dan Clancy, though, right? This is the guy. How does Twitch best help engage Rockstar and vice versa to get the most eyes on this product, right?
9:06Twitch is going to be, of course, Twitch and YouTube will be the places to see live streamers. We'll see all the content from GTA 6. So he's in the room talking with them. It'll be interesting to see if they do anything different anything fun we've seen twitch really try to engage the audience and the viewer side of things while of course helping the creators and putting them at the forefront but the goal has always been hey how do we help the creators be their best but also engage this community is there ways they'll tie in something fun and engaging besides just sub badges little fun alerts i look forward to seeing that especially with no pixel who has been like born and raised on youtube and twitch right of these guys and gals know what they're doing when it comes to social side can you do something different and engaging via that and we've seen that before with twitch yeah i mean yesterday we blessed and i were talking about the spotify uh partnership with gta6 and obviously before that the netflix and we were having a discussion about all right cool we're talking about netflix the number one in paid streaming video we're talking about spotify like the big dog in uh paid streaming audio like music what other big dogs are there and if we were kind of going to the point of like there's not really like where those are kind of the you know there's the video games tv movies and then music but we did bring up twitch we did bring up youtube in terms of the not paid but the free right and going to twitch and working with them is obviously very smart and this is it's not rocket science but they're doing it which like is a good sign for for them and for their success business wise but what dan knows we'll have to wait yeah i mean just like we expect with console sales right like dan says at the end it will absolutely spike the overall viewership in a meaningful way right like how much we don't know but you can guarantee come november when this drops youtube and twitch numbers are going to be extremely high yes for creators and certain creators record breaking oh yeah i mean i'm sure it's gonna be a big deal yeah uh we got some super chats here joey rassum says gta 6 online could it be another full paid release at this point i think it is a hundred percent a separate title that you are buying wow tim yeah i mean i think that they're not talking about it right now and like having gta 6 i yeah i think it's a separate full release i love that conversation that we've had all the way up to this point of how do you handle online what do you do when do you sunset five what does gta 6 look like is it just included in that first initial price tag like we saw with gta 5 Is it going to be its own separate free tile and they make money off of microtransactions?
11:36Can they go to the audience and say, Hey, this is separate from that 60, $70 purchase, a hundred dollar purchase that you made for GTA six. I want 20 to$40 for this plus microtransactions and shark cards. It is a fun business and opportunity to talk about video games and the industry as a whole right now. Cause rock stars we've talked about with that a hundred dollar price tag can do anything that they want. And so we will see what they choose. I don't think there's a wrong answer. You can a hundred percent go free and make a bunch of money. We know they're going to make money. You can, they're not doing that though.
12:10Even though I'm with you. Yeah. It's like tying it. Okay. Let's talk all the options. Right. Talk to me. Them just going completely free to play. That would be such an insane move. Like, and they would make so, so, so much money from it. But I just don't think the powers that be would look at that. And cause all of them would look at it and be like, cool. or we could make more money guaranteed up front and also expect that money too. So I just don't see them doing that. Well, let's talk it through. If you go full free to play, that means at any moment, anyone can hit the download button and jump into your world.
12:42There is no price tag up front. There's no asking for someone's credit card to jump into it, right? So they can jump in and then your hopes are they're going to spend money, which we know they will. Even the hardest of hardcore gamers will buy a shark card or two, right? And then on the flip side, we know you're going to be there no matter what $20 to$40 get you in the door and then we go off of that it's more okay hold on so there's the fully free option right yeah we just talked about that you don't think that's the way Roblox, Fortnite like that's what my mind goes to it's like now you're inviting this audience of like no one needs a credit card there's no wait you're just in those games don't have the production value of GTA like that's that is all that it is the expectation of what you're getting from the game I think is just such a different level and rockstar knows that and rockstar has what it has which is gta online but does going free to play pull people away from there this is my game i can't leave it my league of legends my roblox is my fortnights these are my go-to games every day does free to play go hey now i don't even think twice i am gonna leave this for a little bit i don't think so because i think that uh if if the experience itself is going to pull somebody away i don't from from that type of life i don't think that a small charge is going to stand in their way at least not to a demonstrable degree of an amount of people that matters but uh there is the second option which i think is uh maybe not the most likely but likely which is you buy gta 6 you get gta online 70 or 100 whatever your purchase is 80 or you're in and you're ready to rock and roll yeah yeah i mean that's what they did with gta 5 we saw those sales continue for a decade plus right of every time there was an update for gta online anytime that people want to jump back in with their friends they're buying that version of the game and it sold very well it worked just fine for them it seems like that's different time to answer right and like what they're doing here very very different so i i just i don't know they're like i don't have full i wouldn't bet that that's gonna happen okay i also wouldn't bet against it it's just there is a chance that it happens but i would not be surprised if it's not because i do think the most likely option in my opinion would be charged full price or make it a standalone paid release and i honestly don't feel confident one way or another to say it's not full price another 70 80 dollar game yeah maybe not 80 hey i'm not saying i like it i'm just saying like business wise i don't think that that loses them money i think that gets them the most money okay i like that tim yeah it's interesting when we bring up all the options right and i think there's everyone has their desired option their dream it's interesting of like i don't want my consumers to groan if i was to charge a standalone price right i do like that at the end of the big trailer this is grand theft auto online and it's included in your grand theft auto 6 price tag right like that feels like that gets the win under your belt because you know they're gonna buy it they'll buy the game to get in and then on top of that they're gonna have the shark cards and microtransactions it just seems like the way to go or mike i just I just thought of another option.
15:51Tell me. What if it's fully subscription based? You do the world of Warcraft move. It's full on subscription based. And they come with the deals of if you have GTA six, you get. Not a year free, but something free. I mean, that's definitely been discussed in the boardroom. Yeah. I don't know if Grand Theft Auto online has that kind of sway. I don't think a lot of games in 20. I'm with you. have that sway anymore, right? Like World of Warcraft is the one I always go to because that started 20 years ago, 25 years ago. And that was like the time period piece. I don't know if games in 2026 and beyond now have that kind of sway of like, I'm going to charge you a subscription price.
16:35My mind doesn't jump to the ones of like, that would be the one. And Grand Theft Auto Online, my mind doesn't go to, that's the game people would pay$5 to$15 a month for. You'd have to die hard. because Grand Theft Auto Online, to me, always to me, and I know there's people who are the diehards, has always been a jump in, jump out experience. We do a couple heists. We have some fun. We jump out. Hey, maybe we want to go check out the latest DLC. We do that. You got to be the hardest of hardcore to live and breathe in that every day. And I don't know if that audience is as big as we imagine the jump in, jump out.
17:08Yeah, I know. I'm right there with you. Yeah, just throwing it out there. I love it, though. Just thinking about the option. It's been discussed in the boardroom. All right, so right now, Mike and Tim for the fun one. Let's make a guess on which option they'll go. Right now in your heart of hearts, which option do they go? I think it's a separate paid release. I'm going to go with it's included in Grand Theft Auto 6 price tag. I think that it's a separate release, but I can imagine that owners of GTA 6 get some level of access for a limited time. Okay. That's what I think is the most likely option.
17:38And then YouTube and Twitch, of course, to bring it back to Dan Clancy. Viewership off the charts. oh i mean yeah there's no chance that's not true yeah like look at the numbers anytime gta 6 has anything real to announce like it's crazy what the that seo does yeah it's gonna be everywhere so is this a pizza bet or no that's just a fun bet yeah just a fun bet i'm not confident we can't just create new bets well see the problem with it though kev is it's just like we're not feeling that confident about it so months later if you were to bring that up and be like i don't think I was fighting hard for that.
18:10But we write it down. So there's a spreadsheet where we log everything. So we'll have clips. Yeah, but the clips will be brought up. Just the memories will. And I don't think that'll be favorable to potentially be. That's not true. That's not true. Wilbry says, Red Dead Redemption 2 Online came packaged in or purchasable outside of the full game if they didn't want to buy the campaign. So I can see them doing the same here. Yeah, maybe. Yeah. That is an option. I do think that Red Dead Online is an incredibly different story than what we're talking about here. But, yeah, that's a good point. I think you're right, Tim.
18:44In 2026, we're living in a world where there will be a standalone Grand Theft Auto 6 online for$20 to$40. You don't even have to buy the campaign. You just buy this and you're in. Yeah. And that's it. I don't see a world of$20. As many people in on this as possible. I see$40 being the bare minimum that they would charge for this thing. And I think it can go all the way up to$70. that's crazy I don't think it'll be 80 but it could be Mike I would love to know like the median spend of a Grand Theft Auto online user where did that net out after 13 years 20, 80 100 dollars at the end of it all where did the average user spend go to yeah I would guess 60 to 80 just from the online or just total for the game online online users this was the average spend from all these users Yeah, it's hard to tell.
19:36I don't know the economy at all. Quick little$20 shark card so I can get the fastest and firmness. God, I'll buy all those cars. Of course you will. LifelessFTW says, I can see free-to-play for the basic stuff like GTA 5, a subscription service version to include the RP stuff that was rumored to be in GTA Online. Yeah, definitely. There's going to be, I'm interested. Can't wait to see what they end up actually doing and what online even looks like. I can't wait. I mean, with no pixel and role-playing servers being the forefront of this, I can really imagine, especially what they're going to do with the game and what we're hoping for on a role-playing side of things with the two main characters.
20:11I think online will really double down on the role-playing. You can get a 9-to-5 job. You are going to be some character in this world, not just all of us running around trashing the universe. I think it's going to be beyond that this time. Man, let's keep with GTA, but go back to number five here with story number two. New GTA 5 source code leak is uncovering a ton of content. This comes from Sherry Faulkner at GameSpot. A huge batch of previously leaked Rockstar files has resurfaced, giving players a new look at GTA V's canceled content, including a surprisingly massive Liberty City expansion and the long-rumored Agent Trevor DLC.
20:49The files reportedly total around 192 gigabytes, dwarfing the roughly 4-gigabyte collection of GTA V source code material that had published in 2023. GTA modder TJGM has been digging through the newly accessible files and has already highlighted several discoveries, including cut dialogue, canceled missions, development tools, and assets from Rockstar's planned single-player expansions. One of the biggest discoveries so far is a look at the Liberty City expansion that they'd planned for GTA V but ultimately can't. TJGM shared an outline of the Liberty City expansion, reconstructed using shoreline data contained in the files.
21:22The map appears substantially larger than the one featured in GTA IV. The outline of this map is drawn based on where shorelines are. He explained, noting that the files also contain zones associated with shoreline audio. The discovery provides a clearer picture of how ambitious Rockstar's plans were for bringing Liberty City into GTA V. Another file reportedly contains a development zone that suggests Rockstar had been setting up additional terrain for the expansion. The presence of the map outline and audio zones could indicate the development progress considerably further than previously known.
21:51The Liberty City content was already known to exist thanks to 2023 source code leak, but the new material provides a clearer picture of its intended scale. It also raises the possibility that Rockstar's plans for Liberty City could be pushed towards GTA 6, although that remains purely speculation at this point. The leak also sheds more light on another cancelled GTA 5 project, the Agent Trevor DLC. The DLC was set to star GTA 5's Trevor as a secret agent, but it was later confirmed that it had been cancelled due to increased interest to GTA Online. Duh. The new leak shares interior screenshots that were apparently intended for the expansion, including a large mansion.
22:24The files also contain mission names and descriptions for the canceled single player content, as well as information about music used during the missions. Well, what could have been what could have been we live online didn't make an insane amount of money online lit a fire and they could not put it out. And yeah, oh, what could have been I still remember the dreams and the fantasies of like, could we see a Liberty City in online? Right. Is that going to be a mode of transportation where all of a sudden we jump on a plane? Next thing you know, we're in a different city. the dream right that was the dream of like because it was 13 years it was a long time in San Andreas and the dream was like are we ever going to get out of here right like I love San Andreas this is great and exciting but like the thought was will we ever go and the idea was Liberty City and seeing that I mean one of my favorite treats in Grand Theft Auto games is sometimes when you leave the city I think in 5 you might have gone to Liberty City help me check correct me if I'm wrong you go somewhere else but I thought there was maybe it was my dream but I love the moments of like, we're out of the map.
23:24We're seeing something new, that tease of something new. Because for me, I live and breathe these games. I know the maps. You could put me on GeoGuessr, San Andreas right now, and I would fucking - Really? Oh, yeah. We've done it on streaming before. The chat knows. I'm a freak when it comes to Grand Theft Auto. I love you so much. So I live and breathe these maps to the point where after a while, it's like, yeah, I do want to see something new. My dream is to leave here and go somewhere. And that's always the fantasy of the new games, of being able to see a new map. But yeah, online could have used the Liberty City.
23:54I know the main missions, they take you outside the map sometimes. Yeah, that's awesome, dude. I'm not surprised by this news. I love that it was actually happening. This wasn't just like rumors and like dreams more than rumors, like hopes of like, can we? Oh, you're talking about San Andreas. I thought you were talking about San Andreas in five. We need San Andreas to go to Liberty City. They have them all. This is a GeoGuessr game of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas right here. where you can guess where this is. And we've done this on stream multiple times. Now, Kevin, if I had control, I would dive into this because I can't mouse over to where I think we are.
24:29But give me a spin. Give me a little spin.
24:39Okay, bring up the map. I believe we're in San Fierro. So that's going to be up to the northwest, middle northwest on your little mini map there. if you scroll you can zoom into that mini map now take me to the west Kevin take me to the left hand side of that map that's the east take me to the opposite side I can't do this shit but they did such a good job recreating San Francisco I can tell you where this is just because of the street you would go far left Kevin to the other side of the continent which would be west keep going and then we'd go north now we'd drag it north we'd drag it upward upward and then a little bit more you're going to start seeing a city right there a little bit more, a little bit more you'll start seeing the bridges, so right here that's San Fierro, if we zoomed into that it'd probably be up on this north eastern side, probably a little bit lower, a little bit right there why don't we just put the pin it'd be dead in the middle Kevin, just for funsies okay Chad, this might be right there, it might be on the opposite view but let's just hit it, I think we're in the ballpark, how about that you know what, that's Mike.
25:47That's Mike, everybody. When I tell you that the dream is to have another map inside of these games, that's the dream because you learn so much. You love so much about it. But Grand Theft Auto is so much more than just San Andreas. It's Liberty City. It's Vice City. I want to go there. And so, yeah, what could have been? Grand Theft Auto 5 Online, lit a fire that they couldn't put out when it comes to single-player content. Botox, onabotulinum toxin A, prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine. It's not for those with 14 or fewer headache days a month. It's the number one prescribed branded chronic migraine preventive treatment. Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection causing serious symptoms. Allerge your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems, or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition.
30:43Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk. Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue, and headache. Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms, and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection. Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions, including ALS Lou Gehrig's disease, myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, and medications, including botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects. 31:13And we're back with story number three, PlayStation used game disc video recreated 13 years later. This comes from Andrew Heighton at Insider Gaming. When you think of videos that haven't aged well in the gaming world, it's hard to think of many more incredible than Sony's official PlayStation used game instructional video, which was once a huge marketing victory for the company with the PS4. Now it's a reminder of what we had. During Sony's E3 2013 showing, a PlayStation advert aired showing the then president of SCE Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, and then VP of third-party relations and developer of technology at PlayStation, Adam Boyes, sharing a game.

31:51sharing the game involved Yoshida passing boys a physical copy of Killzone Shadow Fall and boys gratefully receiving it the simplest banter can be the best well at the Tokyo Game Show 2026 Shuhei and Adam boys cross pads again and pose for a picture effectively recapturing the magic this time there's no physical box I don't know if you've heard about Sony stopping physical discs as they playfully hold up nothing in the air damn dude I was there Mike E3 2013 I can't explain to You've been a part of many magical moments in the video game industry, but E3 2013. So Sony show, if I remember correctly, that was where they reintroduced Final Fantasy versus 13 officially as Final Fantasy 15.
32:33We hadn't heard about it in years. And it was like, boom, here it is. It's where they announced Kingdom Hearts three. Okay. People losing their goddamn minds. And then they do this and it was so awesome. but to be in the IGN war room with everybody, everyone was in one room and while watching it, reacting to it and not reacting up for content, not no one was filming it. It was just the room, that energy when this happened, people hopped off that it was crazy. It was one of the knockout blows to Fox at that era, especially after what they talked about and what they showed during their brief presentation.
33:09And then to go over to this, It was one of those of like, that was a major gut punch that that company did not need at that moment. And really changed a lot. And now look at these two. Look at them. A little playful fun. Look at them. What used to be. What used to be. Just hand the game disc to your homie and say, I'll see you next Monday. Bring it back. Have fun. Play a new game. Experience something different. Nah, nah, nah. Nah, nah, nah. We're past that. Yeah, man. It's a different time, Mike. It's a different time, Tim. You know, I'm glad that these two can come back together, make a little fun one.
33:43Shout to whoever came up with that idea slash posted that photo. That's cute. That's fun. But yeah, Tim, we are unfortunately living in a different time. Story number four, Final Fantasy VII Revelation director shares a bit more insight into the game's DLC, plays coy about the complete edition seeing a Western release. This comes from Rami Cowboy at Go Nintendo. Final Fantasy VII Revelation has been announced for Switch 2, and it will be a simultaneous release across all platforms on April 8th. While we still have a while to wait for launch, series director Naoki Hamaguchi has been discussing Revelation and all things Final Fantasy VII in advance and sharing some interesting tidbits to tide us over.
34:18During an interview with VGC, Hamaguchi talked a little bit more about how the game approaches the recently announced DLC. As you may know, Revelation Story DLC 1 is Sephiroth and Story 2 is Vincent and the Turks. They're in the works and will release sometime between Winter 27 and Spring 28. While Hamaguchi wouldn't get into specifics of the DLC, he did share a tiny sliver beyond what we know. It's best to imagine the DLC like what we did with Intermission, digging deeper into the characters of Vincent and Sephiroth. In regard to whether those stories take place in the past or present, I'm not going to tell you that now, but we're excited to reveal that.
34:50Hamaguchi was also asked about the Final Fantasy VII Remake Series Complete Edition, which includes all three Final Fantasy VII Remake titles, along with a host of other goodies. The$500 package was announced as Japan only, and when Hamaguchi was asked about potential Western release, he said the following, From a production schedule, things are so tight, and we have to provide a limited quantity of additions. We can't just make a bunch of them. That's one of the issues. And so VGC says, so will it come to the West? And Hamaguchi says, you'll have to ask him. And he points at PR. Love that. Love that.
35:17Again, I love that Hamaguchi's just out in these streets, man. If you give this man an opportunity to talk about Final Fantasy VII, he will take you up on it. And that's a beautiful thing. I mean, it's a beautiful thing. And what they've done is a beautiful thing, Tim. I mean, when we talk about these two DLCs, I love this. I am excited for this. I don't want the Final Fantasy train to end. Really, Tim, I think I'm one of those people who have now fallen in love with the game. I've fallen in love with my experience, and it is going to be an awkward moment of like, hey, we're wrapped up, and I don't really want that to end.
35:49And so to know that I get the two DLCs afterwards, I really loved what they did with Intermission and getting to know that character and dive deeper. Like, yeah, Sephiroth, I'm totally in on. And then, of course, Vincent is like, wow. Yeah, that's exciting. So wherever they want to take me, I want more Final Fantasy 7 at this point. We'll see after I finish the end of the trilogy if I feel a little bit differently. But right now, I don't want this ride to end. And so I'm glad that they are not planning on ending it anytime soon with these two DLCs. Yeah, very, very excited for this. And I got to interview Hamaguchi last week, so you can check out the game's cast from last week.
36:26Or was it this week? Did it go up on Monday? I think it was this week. Time's a flat circle. Anyway, I got to play Revelation. I got to interview him in the battle director. So you can check that out. It was a great time. And he says, what's up to everybody. He specifically was like saying what's up to the kind of funny best friends, which I think is very, very cool. He knows. But the cool thing to me about this is just how long we've all been covering video games. The last story just talking about Adam boys and shoe. Hey, at E3 2013, it was E3 2015. So two years later that Adam boys was on stage at PlayStation and announced Final Fantasy 7 remake officially it's happening and it's like dang what a what an amazing time capsule and here we are over a decade after that but we are coming up on the release of the final game in that trilogy and it is living up to the hype and expectations like Mike we talk about so many games that are like oh like the cyberpunks of the world the Halo infinites of the world where it's like how can it live up to this what's going to go down like and the struggles that Final Fantasy 7 had as a remake project and when we were first in the original spare bedroom talking about they're doing it who's developing it they're developing it I don't know about it.
37:41It felt like every three months we're hearing some news and all of it just sounded worse and worse and worse and then all of a sudden things just turned around and here we are and it's like the expectation is that Revelation is going to knock it out of the park we're talking about multiple game of the year nominees right if not winners for a bunch of outlets like dang dude crazy crazy i love hearing that tim and i hope the team knows and appreciates the love that the community has for this and i hope that everyone celebrates this i'd love i'd love nothing but hearing people who go man this was something special right like i am so happy with the remakes how they did this i had a great time returning to a game i love or a first timer right like as someone who has experienced it for the first time i will look back on this and go this was so much fun i loved every moment of it yep uh demon hacker super chat saying pizza bet on if gacked is in final fantasy 7 revelation 3 gacked is the actor that played a character named genesis from crisis core which was the psp game that they recently re-released as reunion uh that stars zach i think he's in the game i demon hacker i will take that bet um i think that the actor will make an appearance in the game as genesis maybe the dlc it might be the sephiroth dlc but he will return where do you want these two dlcs to go you're my final fantasy guy yeah i bring up these two names and the idea of like could be past could be present could be future like kind of a what if story like what do you want to see out of these i mean it's interesting because he's saying so the news here is that these dlcs are going to be very similar to the scenarios that yuffie had in the intermission dlc that they put out for remake which tells me it's uh i mean damn i don't know it's been a while so i don't remember exactly how long it is i want to say it was like six hours maybe of stuff to do and it was like cool dialed in yuffie content and it was a side story involving her her characters and her lore that we either knew or were interested to know more about and i thought they did a really really good job with that so i don't really have like any personal desires like i don't have any like oh man i want them to do this it's like i just kind of trust them because with sephiroth they can go the like young sephiroth and cover what they're doing with the mobile games like ever crisis or whatever where they introduce like a whole bunch of like super super past lore that could be interesting they could uh do stuff in the not that distant past like what i was just talking about with this genesis character um and like get more sephiroth's perspective of the crisis core incidents i don't think that they'll go that route then it could also just be some weird ass like i don't know about future shit but the thing is these the remake series has been adapting elements of the rest of the compilation of final fantasy 7 stuff and like like crisis core um and with that it's like they could dabble into the advent children stuff with sephiroth or they could dabble into the dirge of cerebus stuff with vincent but i don't i don't know i just don't know I want more combat I'm so excited to get a lot of that I know I can't wait right we got a little tease of it a while back in the second one but like just to have more Sephiroth combat I'm all in that just give me a bunch of it can't wait oh and then you get in the$500 package that's Japan only well I think it's already sold out it's what would you want it I mean that price tag is insane like I don't think I'm the type of person that would do that I'm also not the type you know um but like it's beautiful like it's it's all three games framed and it's like it looks very very nice mike really this is the type of collector shit that i'm like yeah yeah that's that's oh yeah it's that's lovely really sweet it is very lovely oh and then the nice statue yeah we've seen this yeah god i love follow fantasy 7 dude the the art that they released like the the key art of the trilogy yeah um it's it's my favorite thing ever like hold on kev give me one sec i'm gonna so now it's time to go to 10 wallpaper on your desktop it is yeah but i want to see there it is here it is there it is oh where's i want to show people in case they don't know oh damn it where'd it go i threw it away somewhere
41:58all right well whatever i'm gonna send a different version
42:10you got that kev yep it's downloading believe it or not oh actually i'm gonna send you the correct one oh they got a cute little keychain for this 500 edition oh yeah keychain great let's make that 500 worth it keychain keychain's only part of it tim it's part of it yeah 25 cents yeah up to 500 let's make it up some other way um but yeah mike i i can't wait for revelation like it's coming in april i'm to your point so sad it's ending but i'm also i am ready for it to end you know like i'm ready to kind of have it all and i i just and look i gotta think of my face i could be totally wrong and i'm not speaking for everyone because especially with a fan base this rabid i know that not everyone's going to be happy i know a lot of people won't i expect that i will be happy and satisfied with the story decisions they make at the end yeah this art is so sick man having the green remake on the left the blue rebirth in the middle and then the red uh revelation on the right frame all the characters like essentially like as they're introduced throughout the game of having you know the core three uh over there and then it's like we get access to red 13 and yuffie and kate sit and now we're getting sid and vincent like come on dude this is so hype and it fits my super ultrawide monitor wallpaper perfectly so yeah i have this as my wallpaper and what i love is i use my macbook to my super ultrawide and when i disconnect it it perfectly just puts the blue here oh come on man that's what living looks like everybody is eric on here i hate you so much i hate you so much right in the middle kevin it's one of my favorite bits i've ever done i know that the character's name eric it's so funny they call Eric.
43:50Yeah, I heard that. I was like, oh, now I get it. Yeah, yeah. Yep, yep. Oh, man. Well, will Eric survive Final Fantasy VII? Will Eric return in Revelation? It'd be big news. It'd be big news if they did. But Mike, if I'm tired of hearing about all the big news and I want something smaller, the tiniest little news I needed to know about, where would I look? Tim, I'd take you to our last story, the Wii News channel where we cover all the small news items you need to know about. It's true. It's damn true. Nintendo Everything says Nintendo's updated the Super Mario logo. And plus, we got some new Mario renders.
44:23Okay. If you look at it, you'd probably be like, oh, I don't notice the difference. Let's see if I notice the difference. Yeah. As somebody who is on the far outskirts of all of this, I will tell you if I notice the difference or not on that one. Yeah. There we go. No. That's the exact same thing. Oh, they showed it. Okay. So the font is a little bit tighter and closer Oh now but then it's in a straight line now It's a bit more 3D It's a straight line It's a bit more 3D Like there's a If you look at like the bottom of the letters We're getting a bit more More like each letter is a block I'm a graphic designer Like a physical block Of course you are Watch out Of course you are Don't get me on Adobe Photoshop I'm going crazy with that But yeah obviously this isn't like anything crazy But yeah it kind of getting a little bit more sheen Yeah you can see it It's interesting because you know with the logos and just kind of modern takes on what logos look like.
45:16It's always interesting to be in the moment and look around at brands' logos, and then 10 years later, see where we're at. And there were so many trends that all follow each other. So they move together. It all moves together. And you think about what the 90s looked like, and it's so different than the 2000s. It's so different from so on and so forth. And 2011 to 2026, you can see that simple, minimalist, just full color block look. It was like so in. And it was like a run away from the like any type of gradient, any type of glean or glare. And now it's like, no, we're back, baby. We're glossy.
45:50We're glossy. I like it. I like that they changed some of the colors of the lettering from 1996 to the 2011 window. And then like, but they kept the same color of the lettering on that one as well. Yeah. So there we go. Do you like the unstacked? You like the just straight line instead of the stack? No, it doesn't read right to me. Like I'm so used to. I like the stack better. Yeah. But yeah, whatever. We're talking about this because this is my job, but otherwise, who gives a shit? But it is cool that they got new renders. It's not every day we get new character renders. How does it look? I mean, they look good, but it's just like, so often it's just the same ass pose that we're using and thumbnails are using for any type of Nintendo assets for years and years and years.
46:31So, cool. From Gumatsu, publisher Ubisoft and developer Evil Empire have released the anniversary update for the Rogue Prince of Persia. The update adds the new ice element, a new tool and weapon, and new arena challenges complete, difficulty and boss fight rebalancing, and more. There we go. Nice. IGN says that FX's upcoming anthology TV series Far Cry, based on Ubisoft's hit first-person shooter video game franchise, is adding five more actors to its cast as it heads towards production. Oscar nominees Jennifer Jason Lee, Brendan Gleeson have signed on, as have Hamish Linklater, Sam Spruill, and Jamie Demetrao.
47:09Next, Playground announces$150 million in new funding as hardware sales pass$1 million. That's crazy. Nice. Wow, that's impressive. And then Noble says, Keep Driving is coming to Xbox Series, PS5, and Switch on September 28th, alongside workshop support for the already released PC version. Okay. Oh, Keep Driving fucking Rocks. We were perfect there. I thought the music was going to end. Yeah. Because two days in a row, we finished the news right at the right time. Play Keep Driving. I really like Keep Driving. Yeah? Yeah. Great vibe. Some really good music on that one. And a fun little story. A little vibe.
47:43Yeah. Yeah. Baby Don says, oh, it's FX. We're fucking with their fucking... They literally don't make bad shows, in my opinion. I'm right there with you. If FX is making the show, it means it is going to be better than other shows. I'm very excited to see this one. This one I'm a little more hesitant on. I like FX I like what they do with certain things I love what we're seeing with the video game world coming into movies and TV Far Cry when they decided it's like we're not going to do just Voss and Far Cry 3 we're going to do something a little different I'm like alright I'm excited you show me what you got show me what you got first let's see what we got in Super Chats The Lion Castle says birthday tax for my 30th I took the day off spending it playing Fire Emblem listening to Carly Rae Jepsen's new album and seeing resident evil hell yeah happy birthday what a big one and yeah what a birthday damn that's gonna be a lot of good stuff i saw resident evil last night i don't want to say too much because we're gonna do a screencast review next week but i fucking loved it i fucking loved it y 'all it's some good stuff capcom mike capcom this year they got resident evil 9 requiem they got pragmata they got onimusha way of the sword they got the resident evil movie and now let's finish strong everybody street fighter the movie i've been telling y 'all for years and it's all coming together now capcom's greatest year of all time we got to get that popcorn bucket we got to do it oh yeah oh yeah i want to eat out of nick's head um a choking says if we do not count kingdom hearts dirge of cerebus is my first final fantasy game crazy okay these pitches love sosa says mike is the goat thank you so much i appreciate that you got me now thinking about kingdom hearts and just diving into organization 13 yeah like don't get me started on that you know we go into kingdom hearts too and some things happen you know what i mean give me the three i can't wait for you to play i'm gonna play it by the end of the year get ready nate g says jason schreier just put out an article saying the blood of don walker cost 40 million to make and they've already sold a million copies good for them that's a big deal that is a team right there that i think given the opportunity to make a sequel or it's really going to knock it out of the park.
49:52This is a game that is really talked about in a positive way. I think now, like Greg always says, if you let this team make a sequel, they're going to do something pretty awesome here. Yep. Bumped up. ArturoTronRoboBartender says Twitch Trogs are far superior to Tube Trogs. Are you team Twitch or YouTube? Oh, YouTube or Twitch. Okay. Kevin, now you'll notice we're across the street from San Fierro, so this is kind of a cheating one on that one. If you go back to the West, go over to San Fierro where we were, but this time we're going to go to the East a little bit across the bay where we're looking notice there's no sales force i was gonna say look at how they nailed san francisco here right like how great is that and then kevin if you'll do it go a little south go a little low on this one because you'll notice we don't see we only see the two bridges there which a little bit higher a little bit higher let's go right there right where the water's curving on the inlet of the bay let's just put it right to the left right there in the middle of that peninsula why don't you just bang me right there we'll call it good yeah it's gonna me a little north, but yeah, just put it right there.
50:52Wish I'm wearing that ballpark. Dang. Put your way in that. Right. That was a cheating one. That one was too easy, everybody. That one was too easy. You get lost out there in the Reading area. You know, when he first takes, when he snatches up CJ, and you go out there and you meet Valentina, I think was her name. Oh, my God, yeah. And that's when you start doing, like, the trucking missions and stuff. That's where it gets hairy. You don't know where the hell you are, okay? There was the supposed Bigfoot. Of course, Bigfoot. Yeah. Bigfoot could be in this video game. Yeah. And I never saw Bigfoot, but I'll believe him, you know?
51:19God, what a great time. I love you so much, Mike. Kesaris says, happy birthday, early birthday tax. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. You kind of funny guys are cool. I don't play favorites, but Mike's my favorite. Oh, well, thank you. Now, Tim, you'll recognize this. When we talk about doing the big rig missions, that is where we go right here into the farmland. This is actually an interesting one because you think it would be to the south where that Reading area is, but no, it's in the middle there. So, Kevin, if you zoom it, punch that thing in, and then you just scroll a little bit to the south here, it's going to be right here in these middle two islands, a little bit to like the – it's going to be a little to the east.
51:59Right there, you'll see it. Right where Kevin was and then right down below here. That's where you're going to do a lot of these farming missions right there. And as much as I love driving the big rig, and then you get kind of jacked sideways and you jackknife, and then you lose it, then you got to back up into it. And so you're like, get out of here, you know what I mean? Great game. Go play it. And this is Kevin. What is this? This is video game GeoGuessar, right? What do they call this? Lost Gamer. Lost Gamer. Go check out this website. Kevin, go to the homepage really quick. They got all of your favorite games.
52:30This is amazing. And so, yeah, if you're into GeoGuessar and stuff, you can do Skyrim. They got the Witcher, World of Warcraft. Red Dead is here. We should test Andy on Red Dead. See if he knows. Tim, is there a game here? Are these the only games? I believe that. Yeah, those are the only games. Yeah. Do you have one that you'd be good at? no should we roll the dice on elden ring you don't know elden i don't know no no it was breath of the wild but i do not okay how about gta5 definitely not really no no no okay damn i feel like san andreas would be the easiest one for me just because i know san francisco yeah yeah you know that's so funny so you can go there we've done this multiple times on the live streams here on twitch.tv slash kind of funny games and of course youtube.com slash kind of funny games but this one guess the game you have played guess hold on hold on hold up christopher in the chat says madrox was like what did i miss i woke up late and christopher says tim said he hopes gta online is a separate full price release i did not say that no he did i did not say that i do not want that spreading i do not hope that it is i just expect that it will be um his his educated guess business wise would be that yes yes zovgm says tim would be great at this if it was megaman 2 See, that is my thing.
53:41You give me some fucking old, if you give me a Mario, like Mario games, like older Mario games, like Mario 64, I can fucking tell. I can fucking tell you. But like, yeah, congratulations. That's not that hard. Chef Kiss says with IGN gutting their best people for VODs? Oh, best people for hosting, I guess. Kind of funny is my new home for gaming news. Great job, guys. Yeah, man. IGN's really dropping the ball over there. Of course, they are forever a second home to me. Like I, I like respect and love so many people there. That's becoming less and less true over the years, you know, especially after this last round, it's like, well, you know what?
54:16At a certain point, you know, the whole ship of Theseus, if you're familiar with that, Mike. But I look at all this and I appreciate y 'all showing up here because yeah, we do day in and day out, try to put in the work and try to treat each other right and try to, you know, make sure that we're not in a place that we're gutting and ruining games media trying to make what we're the number one thing in the freaking world when it comes to games media is like come on ign be better than that shit um but we appreciate you chef kiss let's go to your wrong
54:51kaserin says it's hamish link later not hummish sorry about that okay
