In short

Kind of Funny Games Daily episode covering major GTA 6 preview details (animation scale, confirmed 30 FPS, Florida satire boundaries), plus other gaming news: Nvidia DLSS 5 leaked/ported by players, and Xbox pitching movie/TV adaptations for many games.

Guests

Tamar Hussain (co-host/returning Games Daily host; Bay Area sports fan, discusses attending Valkyries games and Oracle Park Pokemon-themed Giants night). Host: Blessing (leads segments; discusses GTA 6 news and general gaming commentary).

Key claims (GTA 6)

Rockstar built ~600,000 unique animations (vs GTA 5’s ~55,000 and RDR2’s ~300,000). GTA 6 runs at 30 FPS on consoles at launch; 60 FPS is uncertain. GTA 6 won’t directly address Trump or COVID-19 to avoid “dating” the satire, though oblique references are expected.

Notable examples

concerns about animation granularity slowing gameplay; “walk speed” option mentioned. DLSS 5: players port it into other games (e.g., Control, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Cyberpunk 2077) with multiple presets and reports of FPS halving. Xbox: reportedly pitching adaptations for 12+ games including Elder Scrolls and Halo (with Netflix/Paramount/Universal reportedly involved).

0:19Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Today's gaming news stories include more GTA 6 details from yesterday's previews, Nvidia makes Cloud real, and Xbox pitches movie and TV adaptations for Elder Scrolls and Halo. We'll have all this and more because this is Kind of Funny Games Daily.

0:37Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yo, what's up? Welcome to Kind of Funny Games Daily for Friday, August 28th, 2026. I'm your host, Blessing, Addy Oye Jr. Joining me is the one and only Tamar Hussain. I'm back, baby. Welcome back. I feel like it's been a hot minute since we've had here. It has been a little while, yeah. I think I was here like a month ago, I think. No way. But yeah, I was here about a month ago. But it is. On content or just in the office? Yeah, yeah. No, I was on a Games Daily. Oh, snap. And I think it feels that way because there was that period of time where I was on it like twice a week. Remember? And I think that most people still have that in their head.

1:10Yeah, man.

1:10Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'm back. I'm with the Valkyries jersey. Thank you. Represent. Number two seed. Let's go. I love how much Valkyries love exists in the Bay Area. Yes, man. People are all about it. When the Warriors are ass, the Valkyries got you. You would think that there wasn't another basketball team. Yeah. You would think that it's just the Valkyries and the Warriors playing in another city. They are incredible as a team. And also a bunch of personalities as well. It's really fun. Have you ever been to a Valkyries game? I've not been to a Valkyries game. So, originally, when the Warriors were at Oracle, the Roracle they called it, there was like an oppressive atmosphere from home fans.

1:46You can go watch documentaries and clips where NBA players are like, we hated going there. because you were playing the team and everyone in San Francisco. Since they moved to Chase, the demographic kind of changed where it's like all tech pros and business losers are all down at the bottom where all the real fans are like a little further up, which is where I am. So like they're not being hyped down there. But you go to a Valkyries game and it's like the old Oracle where that fan base is getting lit. And it's just so diverse as well. Like everyone come from all walks of life just going mental about this team.

2:20That's sick as hell. It's so good, man. Tickets are cheap as well, so it's always worth going. Highly recommending.

2:25Blessing Adeoye Jr.:You know what game I went to last night? The Giants game. I saw. Yeah. I saw, yeah. They did Pokemon World Night at the Giants game at Chase. No, not Chase. No, it's Oracle Park. At Oracle Park, yeah. And let me tell you, I've had maybe one of the best times of my life. It's so good, right? It was so good. All the graphics packages were Pokemon-themed, and so if somebody hit a home run, you would see Pokeballs slide across the screen, and then a Pokemon would pop up. So between every innings, they would do who's that Pokemon. And you just hear people screaming like, oh, it's Pikachu. It's Mimikyu.

2:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It's this. You know what's funny about this? Not one thing was about the actual baseball. I don't know what happened. That shit is boring as hell. Ask me who won the game. I don't know. Hey, hey, hey, calm down there on the set. I will shut this show down. I went to my first baseball game like a couple weeks back at Oracle as well. And I was talking to, like I was watching, watching. I was like, yeah, I think I know what's going on. I turned to talk to one of my friends that I was with, looked back, and they were packing up. And I was like, what happened? Literally, that happened to me last night, where, like, the screen, I do know who won, because the screen just said Giants win, and Pokeballs were sliding through it.

3:34Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And I was like, are we done? Like, when did we get this far? When did that happen? I'm still, I'm, like, halfway through my bag of nuts right now. Like, I got to finish my beer. But do you mean the Giants won? Yeah, it's wild. but I like start I've started to appreciate baseball a little more now that I've realized that it's the experience not their sport itself that's a big deal for most people like I'm sure there's a lot of people that love the actual sport as well but it's not for me I'm a ball guy I will let me tell you Oracle Park such a fun beautiful like beautiful stadium just the water in the background and last night after the game they held a Pokemon drone show for the people oh yeah i saw it yeah and i've never seen a drone show before this shit was bonkers yeah it's so cool just different pokemon designs up in the air kind of like a firework show but like because it's drones everything looks way cleaner and way more choreographed and organized so i the homie um andy uh razor he was like he's a massive baseball fan yeah and he i told him i was going to a baseball game and he was like i'm so jealous of you going to that apparently it turns out that stadium is like one of the best most like highly saw after attendance wise people want to be there and i was like okay cool i'm sure it'll be good when you get there and you see that view you're like oh my god i i get it why people want to see this now what i don't understand is how beer could cost so much i don't even like beer like that yeah but i'm not a baseball game so i'm like let me get let me buy some peanuts and some beer why expensive why is a glass of beer so expensive This shit is like$20,$30.

5:03Because the tech industry brought everything up in price exponentially in the last 15 years. It's the same thing that happens at Chase with the Warriors, where there's an assumption that everyone attending is rich. And that pretty much rules the sport in the Bay Area. It's one of the worst things about sport in the Bay Area. I'm not even a big sport. I'm a basketball fan. I'm not a big sports guy. But it pisses me off when I go to a basketball game like the Warriors game. And I've got good seats. I've got season tickets, thanks to my wife. but when I'm sitting in those seats and I'm looking down and I see empty seats courtside and I'm like, come on, man.

5:39It's because rich people buy all the seats up and then just don't even attend. They're like, whatever. So it pisses me off and because of that, all the concessions are more expensive because they just assume that people got money. It's like, no, man, it's stupid.

5:52Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Beer should never cost that much. Diet Coke, I'm not a drinker. Diet Coke is also very expensive. Oh, dude, I bought a Coke Zero yesterday. It was way too expensive. it was ridiculous what was also ridiculous is when this drone show when i tell you they started to form certain pokemon where i started to get teary-eyed they i don't know if you can look in my instagram stories it must still be there it probably is but like the last story i want to say should be their um umbryon uh display and when i tell you i got so emotional seeing all these pokemon up in the sky and like i'm like man that's what it's about man i love pokemon are you going to xp no i'm going to disneyland i'm going to fucking disneyland i leave i leave after this lame baby stuff it's all about pokemon my fucking homies hit me up they're like oh we made plans go to disneyland you want to come through and i looked and i was like yeah sure i'll go to disney with the homies and then got to this week and i'm like fucking man they're showing uh juice in town you should go to union square detective pikachu showing there just in public they got rayquaza the is the the lombard street the the like windy street that they got that's famous it's re-quazin now damn it's cool love it absolutely love it you know what else i love video games if you're watching live be a part of the show by super chatting in over on youtube.com so it's kind of funny games as we talk about video game news we couldn't do this with our producers over on patreon.com slash kind of funny so thank you to carl jacobs omega buster delaney the song twining and lax nomad for now let's begin with what is and forever will be the roper report it's time for some news we have seven stories today

7:34Blessing Adeoye Jr.:starting with our number one through three we had gta news out the wazoo uh we're gonna start off with a story from con sarin at euro gamer uh gta 6 has more than 10 times the animations in gta 5 and double the amount than Red Dead Redemption 2 Rockstar confirms. Everyone was expecting GTA 6 to be massive sure but comparing the amount of unique animations in the game to what was included in Rockstar Games's previous work really puts things into perspective. Fresh off the back of Netflix's GTA 6 and its extended look premiere a preview from New York Times revealed that the open world maestros at Rockstar Games built a whopping 600 ,000 different animations to bring Leonidas to life.

8:17Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It's people, it's critters above and below sea level, it's cars, and practically everything else that moves. But that massive stat doesn't tell us much without some context, so let's zoom out. To compare GTA 6 to the already mammoth games that came before it, Rockstar developers told the publication that GTA 5 included a still impressive 55 ,000 animations and Red Dead Redemption 2 had an also almost unbelievable 300 ,000 animations. Just in terms of animation work gta 6 is 10 times bigger than gta 5 and double the size of red dead redemption 2 rockstar north art director and studio co-head aaron garbett who's been with the series for decades also stressed the effort that went into the smaller details quote every room in the game somebody thought about this he said who's sitting where what uh what they're drinking the marks that are left on the table uh the pictures on the wall uh will have the people that are in that room with their tattoos on their arms and their family behind them that whole thing has been made and built and photographed and placed in this random room in a random building in a huge city in a huge world and well of course we have all these GTA stories coming off of yesterday's extended look you've heard me and Tim react to it you heard Greg and Andy give their breakdowns because they went over to Rockstar North in Scotland to check out the the game and see about two and a half hours of footage but tim i want to know i'm sure you watched did you watch the extended yeah yeah i watched it yeah what was your reaction to firstly my first thought was when going back to that quote from strauss's unlike where he was like when you see this you will understand why it's on netflix i did not understand why it was on netflix okay strauss firstly it broke immediately like i was like oh what a surprise i knew it was gonna happen but i don't know why they made a big i i understood that you got paid a lot of money for it probably.

10:11But I thought it was really, really cool. It is the one thing within the context of this story that slightly worries me. And I think they kind of countered it by addressing it is Red Dead Redemption 2 had a lot of animation. Red Dead Redemption 2's animations also were tedious at times. Like it felt like too much. And my concern is this might be the case for GTA as well. like i don't want i don't want the momentum of a crime action set piece to be slowed down by me like pulling a phone out my pocket yeah and then like unlocking and accidentally swiping and face face and he's like he's not kneels down to tie their shoes yeah exactly i don't want any i don't sometimes i don't need that level of granularity however did they did say that they were very much aware of how that felt in red dead redemption 2 so my hope is that they accounted for that and it's not too much but you couple that with like the feeling of how the combat is i'm concerned that there might be a bit too much weight happening like there's moments where i was watching the actual gunplay happen and i'm like hmm i kind of want that to look and feel snappier the issue i've always had with uh gta's uh combat is the movement always feels like never feels right it always feels like a bit too much i'm always like wobbling around trying to get onto cover and i'm like shuffling around too much i imagine that given the level of detail they have gone into with this game they will have tweaked that so this kind of story is like exciting but at the same time it also creates some questions where how much of real how much of that realism and how much flexing is is necessary for the game for rockstar to feel happy that they've kind of assuage people's like desires for it to be a crazy once in a generation type game versus making the game actually feel good because that's what it needs to be but we'll see um like i said they don't they don't put out bad games so at the very least it'll be like interesting to see how it comes

12:17Blessing Adeoye Jr.:together yeah the thing that i think um eased some of my concerns in regards to that was in our conversation yesterday andy had mentioned that um they had like an option for walk speed and you can make your character move a little faster even that alone is something where i'm like oh snap really because that's something i hear all the time people not really uh love about these games right even for me with somebody who didn't love all the tedium of red dead like yeah i understand people feeling that way about gta as well and the that balance between wanting to make something that is that is filled with realism and these impress this impressive amount of fidelity and all these things versus making something that's just fun to play you know i mean making a video game and i think with rockstar there's sort of a balance there and weirdly when i think of what i've enjoyed out of like the rockstar gameplay experience i think back to this is a really crazy thing to say i think back to gta 4 online where not many people talk about like you know talk up gta 4 online compared to any other gta experience but i played a lot of gta 4 online and i think part of it is because playing gta 4 online and by extension playing gta online in general when you're playing a pvp mode when you're playing deathmatch or something it kind of reminds me of playing capture the flag in real life like if you ever like meet up with i see what you mean you ever meet up with friends and be like yo all right we're in this um like this parking garage or we're in the quad at your university campus and we're going to play Capture the Flag.

13:47Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And there's this level of like startup animation that you have in real life. And like a level of awkwardness when you're trying to navigate around these things. It's a human level of like awkwardness and bumbling. Yeah, GTA captures that in a way that I think has always appealed to me, but I understand anybody else who's like, no, I don't want that. I think what's really interesting to look at in terms of this animation stuff and also how GTA has evolved is there was a phase of time probably ps2 era up until gta i think maybe you count gta 4 where what people want it out of a gta gameplay experience is different from now in that you talk about people you talk to people about what their memories are and it's always some nonsense like i got my uh wanted level up to max and then all this wild stuff happened or i hit this ramp did a backflip went into this car went through this building etc so it was trying to create weird almost arcadey moments in video games to show how you could break it or whatever that may be that phase of GTA feels like it's gone now and now the gameplay experience is kind of leaning towards role-playing and it's like yeah authenticity and I think that a lot of that does come from the popularity of RT servers like people are probably no pixel crazy people around that are probably watching this and being like this is going to be incredible i can't wait to role play as a janitor but it means that because the level of detail and the weight and the physics that they apply and the realism they apply to it you can't do the crazy stuff like you could in san andreas or vice the wacky stuff as much as readily so i think that's one of the things like identity shift that has contributed to the way that gta is now and this kind of animation stuff for someone like me who wants that arcade-y GTA feel, it isn't as appealing.

15:36That's not to say I'm not excited about it or I'm not going to play it. It's just I know that the feeling of the game has changed irreparably to what I want it to be. So I'm just kind of trying to find my own little sweet spot there. It sounds like they've kind of provided a little more flexibility in trying to rein that kind of realism in with the walking speed and stuff like that.

15:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. And I think what you're saying is fascinating because this is the thing that kept coming of mind as we're talking with andy and greg about it because they're talking about so many of the things that they're kind of shifting around for this gta game where if to your point it does feel a bit more role-playing you know like one of the things they mentioned is that you're not buying houses in this game and they said and they asked the the director about it and he was like well yeah you're on the run like you're not going to be buying houses left and right when you're so no one can afford them this is florida also the game takes place in modern times what do you mean you're buying a house in Miami um but like even that alone I'm like oh that's interesting and they're talking about the I forget the honor system I forget the criminal yeah the rep basically criminal I forget the exact words chat will get get me on it but yeah your criminal reputation or that essentially is determined by how bad of a bad person are you being yeah um I want to get it before chat does your oh I don't have it profile fucking criminal profile damn it I'll 12s though um but your criminal profile yeah that kind of determines how bad of a person you're being and it's like do i want to be reminded of how bad of a person i'm being in gta like i think it's fascinating that their ethos of what makes gta gta is sort of changing in this game yeah but i've for me as somebody who's kept up with online a lot i've i've kind of seen their ethos change in real time because when you play online you kind of go from gta 5 being a lot of what you'd expect out of a gta experience like yeah do whatever the fuck you want buy all the houses do all the things to over time you having to work more and more for ownership you know what i mean like do you want to be the guy that is involved in all of like the the race the underground race scene all right you got to commit to this you got to buy a garage you got to do xyz thing oh okay well do you want to be the person that's involved with the casinos well we're going to give you this path to where you're going to have to have to really role play yeah that thing and And it's interesting to see them change in real time that way.

17:55It's some sort of second life that they allow you to, or some sort of PlayStation home that they've given you to kind of develop into. But yeah, you are right in that. It's also because they are working with the NoPixel team. So once they announced that they had that relationship with the GTA NoPixel team, I kind of expected this kind of vibe to shift in terms of realism. So, yeah, it's going to be an interesting balance that I think that they'll refine going ahead. But I'm just very, very keen to play this game now. I'm just like super, super keen.

18:27Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And like a lot of what we've been talking about and what we're talking about right now makes me wonder about online. Yeah. You know what I mean? Because I think a lot of the things that we're talking about is going to be shifted towards the online experience. Yeah, 100%. The NoPixel crew is definitely like having an active participation in that because that was a sensation, the likes of which is like unheard of yeah i mean it helped that it was like popping off during pandemic and a lot of the biggest streamers in the world are were all engaging in it but right now i was like looking at coverage from different places and also just like popping into different streams to see what these streamers were saying about it literally every single one was analyzing that gameplay footage through the lens of no pixel to be like once this comes out and we can no pixel it and RP it, it means this, this, and this.

19:19The level of success that's going to come with that online component is going to be, I think, quite something. It's going to be unheard of, I believe.

19:28Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. Yeah. Well, then let's talk about 30 frames per second. Story number two, GTA 6 is confirmed to run at 30 frames per second. This is from Dave Aubrey at Video Games Chronicle. GTA 6 likely won't run at 60 frames per second at launch. That's according to Rockstar Games head of development, rob nelson thanks to youtube personality davy jones davy jones was able to visit rockstar north ahead of the gta 6 extended look and confirms that the game was indeed running at 30 frames the following is a machine translated excerpt from davy jones recent youtube discussion via kotaku quote according to rob nelson lead developer and co-director at rockstar north during this development period the consoles are running at running the game at 30 frames per second according to the director it is still necessary to consult the technical team to determine if there will be a 60 fps option at launch or in the future he also emphasizes that he does not currently have details on resolution and other technical qualities such as the use of ray tracing but the performance for now is 30 fps and whoa davy jones you'd think after all those leaks that rockstar wouldn't let a pirate see the game ahead of time come on i'm saying come on good job jim he's locked in i'm leaving 30 frames per second of course when we were watching the footage yesterday and in talking to the guys about it it sounded like yeah you should probably just expect 30 frames per second for this game yeah on ps yeah i xbox yeah i think it's close i don't know if the tech can pull something off on this scale with 10 million animations or whatever at 60 frames per second you gotta make trade-offs and this feels like i i'm not at all surprised by this um they say like oh you know we'll figure it out in the future i will be surprised if they managed to get a 60 frame per second mode going that doesn't have significant compromises on console oh yeah i think that when they start talking about it's probably going to be pc where by then you know all the beefiest pcs will be able to do it relatively or even like mid-tier pcs should be able to do it relatively easy if you have a graphics card in your pc in this day and age yeah the there was a point in the conversation we were having yesterday where tim asked was there anything that like disappointed you from the showing and i couldn't think of anything in the moment um but if i remembered to uh this point i actually would have mentioned it because yeah like watching it you can kind of tell yeah um the the fps but also it's not i'm not disappointed in the sense of like i'm like i didn't expect more yeah i'm just somebody who really likes 60 fps you know like if i ever have the choice of going fidelity or going with performance i'm going for performance like i want to see this game run as smooth as possible yeah i mean i get it but i think the other thing is like smooth as possible rockstar always make sure that the game isn't like i don't remember a gta game coming out and being like this runs like doo-doo ever if i if anything yeah other than the the re-releases of the classic gta games on every platform but even at 30 frames per second i i expect that the game will feel good because they've tuned it to be that way.

22:36If it was like not good and it was like hitching all over the place and they couldn't handle it, this game wouldn't be coming out. It's too big of a deal for it to come out and have those kind of obvious flaws in its performance. And they're the kind of company who will continuously delay it until they feel it's as close to perfect as they can achieve. So I'm not too worried about it.

22:56Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Let's move on to story number three. GTA 6 won't directly address Trump or COVID-19 in its satirical take on Florida. This is Michael McWerter at Polygon. Rockstar Games is known for bringing biting and often pure-out satire to its Grand Theft Auto games. The 13-year span between GTA V and VI means there's plenty of American culture to interrogate or poke fun at, but a few things will be off the table, according to new previews of Rockstar's upcoming game. Two things that GTA VI won't directly address, according to a new report, Donald Trump's rise to political power and the COVID-19 pandemic.

23:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Many GTA players will be happy to hear that, as the game often serves as a fantastical escape that reflects a distorted version of reality. But Rockstar has other reasons for steering clear of real-world historical events. Well, we run the risk of dating ourselves in a sort of awkward way, Rockstar North studio head Rob Nelson told the New York Times. So we have to look at things and go, what is going to have a timeless sort of quality that will speak very easily to relatable sort of human folly and foibles and will be remembered as part of this time. End quote. It sounds like Rockstar will still make oblique references to the rise of mainstreaming conspiracy theories in our current culture and adjacent acknowledgement of Trump and coronavirus.

24:13Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Nelson addressed the approach to satire in a separate preview on IGN. Quote, Because we work on such a long development cycle, we have to not jump on stuff. Instead, choose our angle of approach carefully and decide what things are going to be a bit more timeless we're not a tv show coming out every week or every month we have to be careful that we're that what we're choosing to to satirize is not going to feel dated in a weird way i think those broader things are okay to satirize but very specific political issues or memes will date fast and won't i'm not buying that at all yeah like no i'm not buying that yeah i didn't realize trump was a meme yeah i yeah it's it feels like they have satirized pretty much everything and it's never been as big a concern as they seem to be indicating here right like it's it's that's the point of satire like no satire is timeless like you take the moment you're in the moment this is a reality of the moment so if you're a a company that satirizes or you're a you're creating some piece of art that deals with satire as a core theme you kind of have a responsibility to do it like that just say that you don't want that drama because that's truly what it is right like you're gonna get every chud being annoying they already are about this game but also like now more than ever you the real reason you probably don't want to do it is because you are doing it to a petty tyrant who's gonna probably unexpectedly be like i'm gonna sue them the kids are doing the grand theft of all and i'm in it and i won the money that's why they're not doing it because probably they don't want to end up in a legal battle with that crybaby and that's why i think they're just avoiding it entirely i think they still will have elements of it but also the place where this is taking place florida is like a concentration of people and culture and ideas and beliefs that are directly connected to that president.

26:11Like it's one for one. It's a straight line. Like, so the fact that you're saying like, oh, we're not gonna touch, you know, that kind of stuff because it dates us. I don't buy it. You just, they'll never say like, we don't want that smoke because the smoke is coming from a dumb ass and we just don't have it in us to do that. But I think, why is this the line? You know what I mean? Like, why is this the line that you're willing to draw? And it's clear, like Rockstar has always been fearless about saying stuff about things that they you know want to satirize nothing has stopped them like you look back at the content in previous games you can make uh comparisons to political figures very easily this is the one time where they're like we're not trying to date it you make games that are set in the 80s you make games that are set in you know certain periods of time that's the point like accurately reflect that period of time in its entirety and to avoid something as big that defines our current period of time this period of time by saying we don't want to date it it just rings untrue like i'm not saying that they shouldn't shouldn't do it or like they should have done it but like it's not a believable justification from me you know what's

27:20Blessing Adeoye Jr.:funny is that like i think i go the opposite way in the sense of i don't believe them when they're when they're saying they're not doing it oh interesting i think i think there's going to be very clear uh satire here that's pointing to maybe not i don't think you're gonna have the donald trump um like stand in in this game nor do i necessarily even want that yeah but i think there are plenty of ideas and plenty of symptoms of what modern day america is that you can poke at individually something like conspiracy theories which are both very present in the conversation around things like COVID-19 and around how we get to the presidency that we have currently right like the idea of misinformation you're gonna have a social network in this game yeah if you're gonna have social networks you have to have misinformation and fucking like there's so many things that goes that that that go into what the current modern internet age is and a big part of that is seeking clicks seeking um like seeking attention and also like grifting grifting yes yeah there has to be something on that if there's not then i think you're doing it wrong yeah or you're not being true to what you are known for doing right like this is this is a game and a series that really plumbs the depth of like human depravity the weirdness of humanity the weirdness of society and how it is like skewed and manipulated into a caricature and if that's your thing to avoid the one of the basically the you know north star of making that happen in this day and age it feels very untrue to who you are so it's just an interesting conundrum that i i would have expected them to be a little more fearless than they they are but you could be right it could be in there and they just don't want to pre preload it i think i chap brings up a good point i just showed it uh you know they're clearly showing police uh you know this person is yeah being this person a black man shot by a cop like yeah like dropping their gun unarming themselves and a cop still shoots them yeah yeah and like body cam stuff they've shown previously etc etc i believe um so you might there's a very good i think one of the reasons why maybe they don't and this is me being the part of me part of this is me being generous right is the idea of we don't want to speak too much on the art that we're making let the art speak for itself sort of thing and then i think to your point i think them not wanting to smoke might be them not wanting to confirm like oh this is about trump this is about coronavirus i think you're you have to have shit that is about society like you have to have stuff that's that's uh commenting on the modern age but i think maybe they just don't directly point at it so that they can continue to go it's satire oh that's not donald trump that's dicky truce they're taking a very from software approach to storytelling about trump they're going to give you enough clues for you to put the story together yourself.

There's been at least five. Is this technically the seventh? Seventh or eighth? One of them, yeah.

32:59We'll workshop the name, but I like it.

33:00Blessing Adeoye Jr.:yeah um omega buster writes in and says it's because they are in davy jones locker tam oh okay gotcha like that makes sense deathbolt jr says how's this thing gonna run on the series s good question very good question i wonder yeah um claw master under here's the thing i'm i'm wondering if there's like another shoe that drops or if it's like i think either either they have it figured out i think either you have it figured out or you just let it go like at this point if it wasn't coming out on series s or something or xbox we i mean we know because they yeah they would have yeah they would have said something by now so my prediction is that it just runs fine yeah i think rockstar probably figured out because they have all the money in the world yeah they probably optimized it you you'll probably see like oh this is missing from this version of the game but it will be things that aren't like super critical like dust on a trash can yeah it'll be like sweat on people's faces as they run or something like that clawmaster says side note rockstar did hire a lot of no pixel players for the role-playing aspect for the game so tam you're not wrong in that thinking of course we talked about that billy the pizza says thoughts on gta 6 jason voice acting from the showcase really took me out of it he's got bane-itis everyone crushed it but he sounds like an emotionless jolly green giant i need to go back and listen to him talk because i never noticed it but i think it was because i was enraptured by lucia the entire fucking thing and so like jason would walk up and i'm like oh jason's here who's this guy who's this person make this a single player lucia game yeah yeah he was mumbling quite a bit where i was like what did he say i can't really hear him properly but i don't know maybe that's maybe that's his character arc where he'll slowly gain the confidence starts to get a personality.

34:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Bader SN says, surprised a FromSoft fan like TM doesn't like baseball more even though it's just peri slop. Oh, damn. I never thought about it that way. Damn, it is peri slop. Press L1 to hit the baseball. Damn. I guess anything with a bat or a racket is peri slop. Damn. Dang. Think about that. That's crazy. Bob says, birthday tax. My heart is so full with all the mentions from yesterday. I love you guys and the way you make every day a special one happy birthday kebabs yes kebabs happy birthday gondor's condor says regarding baseball as someone who's been to 11 mlb ballparks oracle is top of my bucket list hell yeah hell yeah through i'm through yeah cowhand foodka says tam you're looking good stay well friend thank you excess oddity says birthday tax happy friday everyone going to spend the day playing the new playtale game which is very very good hell yeah nice i I love how many good games are coming out.

35:43Yeah. There's an abundance of them right now. Too many, some would say.

35:46Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Too many, some would say. Yeah. Slow down, everybody. And then TrueLithorian says, birthday tax took the day off for my big 5-0 and had to watch live. Much love to the KF crew for all the fun. Hope Tim gets visitation rights for his home theater. Happy birthday. And then we'll do one more from ChaosKillerX7, who says, since every game coming out in September is pre-recorded, I got to do it here. Month four of my promise until The Elder Scrolls VI releases. Let's play XCOM eventually. I mean, I have no plans to play XCOM because I have too many games in my backlog, but I want to play Star Wars Zero Company as soon as possible, so that'll be my XCOM experience.

Read the full transcript

36:25We were talking about Midnight Suns earlier as well. Yeah. That's a good XCOM like if you're into that.

36:31Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh, let me do one more actually because this is important. CasperJ87 writes in and says, shout out Andy for being on the Dan Lebitard show. Oh yeah, that was wild. Clap it up. That's crazy. The man's been glazing Dan Levitard's show for so long. I'm glad to see it finally pay off. Every other morning I come in and I hear Andy talking to Roger and Joey about Dan Levitard's show. Yeah, we've been listening. You know, we've been living together for so long. And then when we started working together, like every ride that I would take with him, we're listening to the Dan Levitard show. Love it. It was fucking awesome.

37:03And he was on point as well. Like represented the game as very, very well. I was like, good job.

37:08Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Andy is maybe one of the best spoken video game commentators we have around, in my opinion. Definitely. I'm envious. When I hear him do a preview, previews specifically, I feel like are such his strong suit. Because I'll hear him recall certain details and deliver them in a way where I'm like, why couldn't I say it like that? He's so good. It doesn't ever feel academic. It just feels very personal, which is what I like about Andy. Even though he never plays video games with me and never plays basketball with me either. Yeah, all he does is replay Red Dead 2 all the time. My man's been playing Red Dead 2 for like 15 years at this point.

37:43The Witcher 3 for the 15th time. Crazy.

37:46Blessing Adeoye Jr.:He won't play Gears with us because he's too busy playing with Rey. I know. We're going to talk mad shit about him on our in-universe GTA show. Get out of here. Actually, cancel Dan Leviton's show. I don't like this guy anymore. Get out of here. Ridiculous. Fucking talk about volumetric fog or some shit. Get out of here. Story number four. NVIDIA's controversial DLSS 5 AI filter leaks. and players are inserting it into every game. Quote, this is horrifying. It is, truly. I'm reading from Dave Aubrey at Video Games Chronicle. NVIDIA's controversial... God damn! There he is. Oh, God! There he is.

38:19Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'm free! Real Cloud cannot hurt you. Oh, my God! Oh, no! That's really good. No, no, no, no, no. I hate that. I love whatever this is. Oh, my God. Oh, no. Well, NVIDIA's controversial new DLSS 5 technology is leaked and players are implementing it into every game they can. When announced, NVIDIA said DLSS 5 is a quote, takes a game's color and motion vectors for each frame as input and uses an AI model to infuse the scene with photo real lighting and materials that are anchored to source 3D content and consistent from frame to frame. Players were highly critical of the new technology, which led to NVIDIA CEO Jensen Wong addressing complaints during a press Q &A saying, quote well first of all they're completely wrong shucks jensen excellent comeback excellent you love that this is why he gets paid the big bucks stuff like no uh well first of all they're completely wrong this is me when i'm like when i read any super chat from the audience yeah when i read it you're wrong no you're wrong guys um the reason for that is because as i've explained very carefully dlss5 fuses controllability of the geometry and textures and everything about the game with generative ai end quote that did not help at all dlss5 is now available thanks to being included in the dll library in nba 2k27 you cannot convince me this is not just a real woman who's playing jesse faden i do it's it's looks real but also clearly is very not real that's the thing about it is that we've truly reached the uncanny valley now i've seen this woman at trader joe's that's not trader joe's man that's like guss's that's the guss's shopper she's going bougie no way i know this girl i've seen her before yeah she makes the best she says she makes the best avocado toast in the sunset area for sure for sure for sure players found the necessary files and immediately got to work on porting the technology to other games to see what happens fans have uncovered that the neural rendering in dlss5 has god damn you could have told me this last was tv show yeah you know what i mean like what happened to um what's their name i already forgot their name the actress who actually does play ellie in the bella ramsay yeah i'm like what happened to bella ramsay um i lost my part of my part of the thing Fans have uncovered that the neural rendering in DLSS 5 has seven presets, each of which come with different levels of aggression, as demonstrated by Swerve Gaming.

40:53Blessing Adeoye Jr.:This is not officially released software and may change ahead of the full launch, but it is now at least able to run on a single GPU, even if frame rate can be halved, depending on your card. Swerve Gaming also tried DLSS 5 with Cyberpunk 2077, and viewers were broadly more positive, saying, this only quote this only going to get better and better in future this is like verbatim from a post with spelling errors and all this has insane potential already looks nice in certain parts damn i'm impressed end quote fans on the reset era forum have been trialing the new technology on several games including control and final fantasy 7 rebirth bring back up cloud please wait oh sorry i had the cyberpunk thing ready that's not too bad yeah the cyropunk's i think it's i think it's because the lighting is doing a lot of like paving over the weird look of it yeah i think part of it is cyropunk has i see like i'm not a fan of that such a strong art style yeah and like here like i feel like it's being taken away yeah here i feel like it doesn't look good some of the soul is being sucked out a bit here um but i think in parts where you see the lighting yeah being really strong like here the art style is coming through and that's the problem when i look at any of these images and in the clips that barrett's bringing up is that there's a reason why games have art styles yeah exactly i think like there is a use i'm not a fan of all any of this generative stuff yeah um the use case is that leon kent no it's not leon kent is that david is that fucking what the hell man I think the use case for this that I can be like, okay, is sports games.

42:34Like, it was in NBA 2K, right?

42:36Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. Like, put that stuff in to make Steph Curry look even more like Steph Curry. Great. I'm fine with that. Oh, God. But, like, what's this monstrosity, man? You've unlocked nightmares. That's what you've done. Like, who's this flipping Disney Channel-ass cloud that we're looking at over here? It's just bizarre. Is that Christina Ricci in a wig? Yet, I can't take my eyes off them. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, there's something about it. It's uncanny. You know? it's it's not great but also imagine that riding a chocobo imagine what a chocobo looks like yeah like i'm not i'm not seeing you at trader joe's but i've seen you in the tenderloin yeah i've seen you elsewhere yeah yeah it's just something really unsettling about it and the thing is like it's like you said who wants this but i think there is definitely advocates for it and in my mind it is perverts barrett's right it's perverts like people who want to be horny in the worst ways possible using their video games and they and also tech pervert like perverts like multifaceted but like i read a story this morning that says like this basically halves your fps when you do it and like puts incredible strain on your hardware like who what is this for and the worst thing is like those people are also that won't be going to be the loudest people who are like this is fantastic and because they're the platforms that they are most weighted in favor of it's just going to rise to the top so you're just gonna get a bunch of people being like i love this make make the woman look even more weird and so i can do horrible things in private can you bring up the cursed cloud again because like there's something about this cloud model i hear a dr dre beat in my head you know what i mean i hear a drake beat in my head like i haven't i haven't urged me i have an urge in me to go palms sweaty knees weak and like there's something about this image it's it's the it's i think it's the guyliner

44:45it's the it's the lips a little bit as well yes like you know eminem was very pretty when he was yeah you're not wrong he does does it's the chin he's got eminem chin he does it is the chin he's got eminem chin yeah chin yeah that's a rap god you're looking at right now okay oh man don't ever hey dls s or nvidia excuse me nvidia let's uh let's let's pump the brakes

45:17Blessing Adeoye Jr.:yeah let's relax let's pump the brakes all right let's let's reconsider some things or at least come over just occasion better than no actually actually it's good it's like kids were wrong we're gonna make all your faves look real yeah we're gonna make mario look like a real man Jesse Faden's gonna haunt your dreams. Story number five. Speaking of making video games real, Xbox is reportedly pitching movie and TV adaptations for more than a dozen games, including Elder Scrolls and Halo. This is Bradley Russell at Games Radar. What the? What is this? Oh, sorry, that's Master Cheeks. Because they already did that with Master Cheeks.

45:53Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I thought that was DLSS 5. I was like, yo, we're wilding with the DLSS 5, if that's what we're doing. I was like, Tim was right about the perverts. That's crazy. Oh, man. They tried this already, man. I did not watch that Halo show, and I forgot that they showed Cheeks. I never watched the Halo show, and so seeing Cheeks pop up on screen like that out of nowhere is kind of crazy. Xbox is seemingly going all in on video game adaptations, pitching several titles to streamers and studios. As per Puck, Microsoft and Xbox have been in talks regarding a package of more than a dozen games. Those name-checked by the outlet include Halo, again.

46:30Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Elder Scrolls, World of Warcraft, and Diablo. Netflix, Paramount, and Universal have reportedly sat down with Microsoft to appear to want around$300 million for any potential deal. Xbox and Xbox-adjacent brands have had mixed fortunes in the video game, movie, and TV space. Fallout, based on... I don't need to read all this. Fallout was good, and then they did Halo, and it got canceled. Other projects, such as Gears of War's Netflix series, have remained in limbo for several years. You know, the funny thing is all the most like adaptable, interesting properties are the ones they don't care about one bit.

47:02Like where's the Viva Pinata Pixar movie? You know what I'm saying? Or like the, you know, whatever it may not. It can be someone else.

47:09Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. You know, where's that gone? Where's Banjo-Kazooie? Yeah. Where's my Hexic series? Remember that? Where's Blinks the Time Sweeper? Yeah. Sweep the multiverse. You know what needs to come back Saturday morning cartoon style? Cameo. Elements of power. Hell yeah. Let's go. Where's the Conker Adult Swim Hulu exclusive? It's crazy. But they've tried at least two of these before with Halo and World of Warcraft. That World of Warcraft movie is okay. But I imagine they wanted way more out of it. But yeah, good for you. Good luck on all that. This is how you make money. And this is probably contributing to the one trillion people a day that Asha Sharma said that they're going to entertain.

47:49Yeah.

47:50Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I love the idea of inventing new people. One trillion. one trillion yeah uh we've generated using the lss5 we're gonna make ai people to watch the things to bust to pump up the numbers of everything they said i would be into a diablo like series or something like that something real dark and you know gritty yeah a diablo series would be really especially when you look at those the shorts they make oh yeah for a new expansion let's do it blizzard oh my god like there's definitely potential there an elder scrolls like movie trilogy it's like lord of the rings style yeah i'd be curious to see that kind of swing yeah i feel like the chances are it will come out as looking some sort of like lord of the rings clone like one of those young adult style yeah fantasies just narnia-esque kind of things but yeah i could see that happening but like i don't know i'm just not excited about live action adaptations or any of it So I would rather they were more stylized to be like the games themselves and give them that kind of authenticity.

48:53That's where I'm at. Because it just so happens that they pull that off with Fallout, right? Like the live action part of it is fine, but it's elevated by the fact that they stuck very close to everything else around Fallout. Like the color schemes, the ideas, the iconic imagery and doodads, gadgets. And they made like, you know, everything look like it's in Fallout. out and it just worked yeah i'm not not not like a super fan of like the last of us stuff season one was fine but like i i feel like leaning into the stylized stuff that is authentic generally does well much better like you look at the uh league of legends edge runners and uh arcane and that kind of stuff so maybe that's where they're going uh i don't need a new halo series or a halo movie

49:39Blessing Adeoye Jr.:yeah i mean my thing my argument is always the adapting um an ip based off of making something new in that world versus making the same story i think that's why last of us for me i'm like i like last of us season two i did not like um but i prefer a fallout over last of us because fallout i'm getting a new story and fallout is a world right every fallout game is following a different character in a different location all that stuff and so you can play something in that world and make it not feel awkward whereas now when i'm watching last of season one it's like well this is just a one-for-one retelling of the video game which is there's no creative vision out like on its own that's doing anything interesting it's already a cinematic experience yeah you know i mean so like if i want to watch joel and ellie banter back and forth like i can do that in the video game i don't need a show to do that for me i'm interested in seeing what happens with the alex garland elden ring movie i think that could be a big oh for sure trend set a potentially because I don't think anyone's really, I don't know what that movie's going to be about, but it feels like someone trying to swing for a high fantasy, almost dark fantasy approach that could be a big deal if it's executed right.

50:50And that dude loves Elden Ring,

50:51Blessing Adeoye Jr.:so I'm excited to see that. People in chat are saying, except for episode three. I know except for episode three. I watched the show also. Episode three is fantastic. Yeah. But you didn't need the rest of the show to do episode three. It's completely on its own. It's completely on its own, right? Like that's something that you could have done separate from the TV show. I'm not saying that's how they should have done or anything like that. I'm just saying the bulk of that thing was a one-for-one retelling of the video game. Really quick plus before you get to the next story. There's more NVIDIA DLSS 5 stuff.

51:19One for Silent Hill F. Oh, no. Yeah, it's really terrible. We got to start doing this.

51:24Blessing Adeoye Jr.:We got to start. Silent Hill has gone too far. Silent Hill. Let me tell you, you know, something about these characters, though. Yeah, they look good in the outfits. They just seem very out of place. I'm starting to understand what you're talking about with the pervy stuff. Barrett, send me the PNG. You know what I mean? Maybe we should have taken today off. You're wild on a Friday. I got back home so late last night after the fucking Giants game because traffic and all that shit. So I'm not running on a lot of energy today. Yeah, I'm also hungover. So yeah, I'm right there with you. Story number six.

52:00Blessing Adeoye Jr.:CD Projekt Red has The Witcher 4 running on all target platforms. after Cyberpunk 2077 lesson. This is Nicole Carpenter and Chris Kerr at Game Developer. Cyberpunk 2077 was a lesson for CD Projekt Red after its disastrous launch and subsequent removal from the PlayStation Store. Developer CD Projekt Red now makes sure that its games are working on all platforms throughout development. Co-CEO Michael Nowakowski told Game Developer. Sorry, I just saw someone in chat say, you can almost see the first hernia. And it's just, oh my God. Quote, you come to the studio, you launch Witcher 4 right now, Nowakowski said.

52:36Blessing Adeoye Jr.:You can launch it on PC, you can launch it on PS5, you can launch it on Xbox Series X, and it's gonna run, end quote. If I'm the interviewer, I'm gonna stop and be like, what about the S though? Yeah. What does it look like on the S? Are you forgetting something? You left out a platform there. That's in contrast to how Cyberpunk 2077 worked its way through development. The whole thing was PC-driven, Nowakowski said. Well, the way the studio was thinking was that we are reaching for the best possible visuals he said we want to push the boundaries of what is doable in terms of cinematic feeling and whatnot and pc was just the best suited rig for that there was this as it turned out false belief that toning it down to whatever was the current gen is not going to be that much of a challenge end quote now wachowski said city project red faced this sort of challenge with the witcher 3 but got a bit lucky here and there which made the studio feel like cyberpunk 2077 would end up fine too.

53:30Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Quote, since then we don't take chances, he said. We want to make sure that it actually works. End quote. If something's wrong with The Witcher 4 on a single platform, the developer stops to fix everything until they're sure of the problem. It means the milestone process for the game is a little different. Quote, for example, technically we should hit, let's say, 10 check marks, he posted. Back in the past, if we missed one or two, we were like, we're going to catch up with that later. Sometimes we did, but sometimes we didn't. And then two milestones or three milestones down the road you have like four or five missing check marks and it's not that easy and whoa that's a lot of words to just basically say we were humbled we got humbled by the reaction we learned our lesson we learned our lesson we're gonna we're gonna do our best not proper qa this time guys exactly hell yeah i mean like i think it's easy to forget how much of a nightmare optimizing for so many different consoles and platforms is so it as end consumers we're not going to think about that very much and also as like critics and analysts and that kind of stuff we don't really have a responsibility to think about that but every now and then i do take a step back and be like that that must be a nightmare um constantly and every now and then you need to be humble to remind how much care and attention needs to go into it because people out there are ruthless and are going to call you on it and they're fortunate that they bounce back with cyberpunk in a major way and it didn't really affect the the performance of it in terms of revenue and sales and that kind of stuff in the long run like that new the current version of cyberpunk is fantastic so so good yeah well tam if the witcher 4 comes out on all these platforms including series s and runs magnificently that'll be huge news but if i wanted something smaller say the tiniest news i wanted to know about where would i go you'd go to the last story their we news channel where we cover all the small news items you need to know about story number seven is we news spine this is gunfu launches summer 2027 pause what up did you see the image they released i did i was like yeah man this is clearly inspired by something i wonder what it is and you look at it and you're like yeah someone someone looked at john wick and was like just copy and paste that stuff yeah that's it was crazy i was like this thing looks like it's gonna be fun though yeah it seems cool yeah it looks like a fun action game xbox ps5 and pc is what it's coming out on holsten launches in 2027 on xbox game pass ps5 switch and pc you see this one holsten is like a resident evil game it's like the one where it's like classic resident evil but then like when you're aiming and shooting and then oh yeah yeah yeah i know that game yeah looks really cool check that out um from gamatsu studio lifeforms has announced etra a single player third person action adventure metroidvania with graphics inspired by the science fiction of 1970s and 1980s european graphic novels it'll be available for pc and via steam a release date was not announced i included this one because this shit looks really cool this looks like they were like what if eco but res yeah and that's they did it yeah they did it What if we did a lot of drugs and then listened to some Daft Punk?

56:42Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It made it real colorful. What was the fucked up looking Metroidvania from a couple years ago? Oh, fuck. Which one? Outland? No. Shit bless. I know exactly where you're talking. Barry knows exactly the one because we got the controller. We had the really ugly controller. Ultros. Thank you, channel. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I wanted to say Santos and I was like, that's not right. That's stupid. it anyway this looks really cool yeah um pixel junk monsters 3 has been announced for pc and finally star citizen spinoff squadron 42 has been delayed to 2027 the dev insists it's because of gta 6 i i tweet about this they are blaming everything right now they're like oh man weather's not looking good today lads delayed i got a divorce because of gta 6 i tell you you know how long have they been working on that game at this point don't worry about it don't ask too many questions does this end up being maybe this is too mean maybe this is too mean of a question that maybe i shouldn't be asking out loud on the show yeah fair enough does this end up being the biggest grift in the games industry i mean it's rapidly approaching that if i started if i started listening to you some of the biggest grifts in the games industry some of them i would get some hate threads some of them i would get people there's one in particular that i know let me tell you there's a few i could list but financial grift maybe possibly i mean depends hey depends on if it comes out yep there's still time technically they could just put out something called star citizen or whatever it's called and it'd be like unplayable technically it stops being a grift at that point yeah because they put it out they put it out um let's get some super chats in here and then get out of here radio shack writes it and says the radio shack 2723 not the real radio shack okay i would buy batteries that happy friday guys i'm gonna be meeting ben star this weekend at fan expo toronto is there any message you'd like me to tell him in person oh in person tell him that blessing said he should be in more video games and tell him time said what games are you in i like that i'll have to list all of them and tell him Barrett says and then tell him bless says what games are in you oh yeah yeah that one that's good one that's a deep one yeah but also maybe a sexual ask him if he ever wants to be in a final fantasy game because he's gonna be like what ask him if we were to like put DLSS 5 on him what would he look like what would he look like have we tried have we tried DLSS 5 like real stuff yet can we break yeah that's a good point it's not because you have to do it from a software no but i want to run ben star through some of this stuff yeah just to see what happens somehow he'll come out he gets more handsome yeah it's clive but weird he's got that chin he's got eminem chin he starts doing that again will gordon writes in and says if andy doesn't play eldon ring on switch 2 is he even a fan No.

59:44It's not a good question. I played on Switch 2, thus proving I am a fan. There you go. How is it? Has the embargo passed? I can't tell. Probably not. Okay. I'm just assuming no. I'm just assuming no. Is the game out? It might be. LNRing. I'm not trying to get fired. I'm not trying to get attacked by Miyazaki, okay?

1:00:01Blessing Adeoye Jr.:LNRing Switch 2. Release date, August 28th. That's today. Oh, shit. That's today. There we go. I'm going to write LNRing Switch 2 review. Game informer. Elden Ring on Switch 2, the worst way to play the best game. Oh, no. That's how it is. God damn. Oh, it's a 91 on Metacritic. It's a way to play that game. I wouldn't say it's the best way to play that game. It's a 91 on Metacritic because it's a great game, but why are we giving it a 91 when it's not good to play on that platform? That's one person's opinion. You know what? It's great because sometimes when you have an unexpected desire to play Elden Ring, it's there.

1:00:42like you don't have to play the entire game you just like whip out and be like i'm gonna fight moog for uh 10 minutes and i'll move on with my life fine this this is the problem with games

1:00:51Blessing Adeoye Jr.:media is that i opened up tom's guide to see their elden ring thing my entire browser is done yeah my entire browser i can't click over this oh yep they oh oh yep oh if i can just close the tom's guide tab i can continue my job i can attest to listeners that laptop is there we go okay now thank god i got i'm always in fear when i open up a video game website that my phone will explode when i open it up on my phone yeah that was looking real hairy for a second that's why i don't go to video game websites um that's good another one from scarlet libra 99 says hey bless would it be okay if i made an orchestral rendition of the kind of funny theme and brought it to top 100 when i visit no coverage yesterday was good i love that you're asking me this yeah imagine if blessed was like hell no don't do that in fact i give you permission to do whatever you want anything you want anything you want with anything you want yeah you got my permission you want to put it on some t-shirts go for it if you want to like open your your podcast with it make it your podcast do it blessing is cool you have my permission we cannot promise tim won't appear and immediately kill you i don't own shit here no i can't tell you that but if you're i mean that sounds cool that doesn't sound like it breaks any rules so you should be fine uh herado is cool says give me an xbox ip centric secret level season oh that could work that could be really fun create a connected universe out of a bunch of xbox ips yeah and just like shove them together and make it work make it like the last episode is secret wars basically exactly i kind of mess with it i like it levi hunt says some bad faith interpretations of them saying they're not satirizing Trump in my opinion.

1:02:34Blessing Adeoye Jr.:They never did a George W or Obama caricature, but did broadly satirize the Americas that defined those presidencies. Yeah, but George Bush was a bit of a clown, but like on the level of Trump, like did any of them have like a cultural impact on the level that he has in a bad way? Yeah, like in the way that's ever present. You know what I mean? Like, I understand what you're saying, but I don't necessarily. I had a similar thought, but then I thought about it for two more seconds and I was like, no, what Obama meant to pop culture is different, was way different than what Trump means to pop culture.

1:03:09Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah, yeah. And Trump predates, like, he was a president after he was a TV person. Yeah. So, like, and Obama has done that afterwards. Can you imagine playing GTA V in just randomly in one scene, you just hear, Mulya? My fellow man. Like, and Obama shows up. Yeah, there's nothing funny about that. How are you parodying that? Why are you here? What do you have to do with this story? Crime. You want to be great, though. It's way too late for this. But, like, man, I would love Mondani. Oh, yeah. GTA 6. A GTA 6. I know it's Miami, so it doesn't make sense. But, like, if, like, a Mondani figure was the mayor.

1:03:47You know what they should do? Remember in the old, was it the old GTA games? Some open world games. When you mess stuff up too much, there's a code you can put in to reset everything. Yeah. Just when you hit that code. The Mondani code. Momodani, but like Galactus appears and just like waves his hand and everything is fixed. That'd be perfect.

1:04:02Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And goes away. All right. A couple more that we got here. Clawmaster says, give Blinks the Time Cat a movie. I agree. Agreed. Frolicious says, birthday tax for my wife tomorrow. Happy birthday, Frolicious' wife. Yep. And then the Cartel Dell says, Tam's channel is great. Everyone should support it. He's brilliant. Don't listen to Dell. Support his channel because his channel is great. Hell yeah. Dell's got a lot of extensive like development history and is always coming up with insights that unsurprisingly only someone with that kind of background is able to pull out so it's always fascinating from our side to watch that stuff never heard of him sketches of harmony that's a joke he was in the the black hair video that i did quite a few years ago he's british so all british people know each other that's when i got one speedo sketches of harmony says agalos 2 wonder boy style metroidvania out now oh let's hop into you're wrong where you read in let us know what we got wrong as we got it wrong so you can correct it for those watching later on youtube and listening later on podcast versus around the globe zaxon galaxian says there was a viva pinata tv show that came out in 2006 it has 93 episodes oh yeah i forgot about that we talked about this we've talked about it before yeah what was that on where did that exist i think it was netflix was it fox kids no i mean it was 2006 i don't think Netflix in 2006 oh maybe I'm imagining it that's pre-streaming I bet you it was on Jetix nonsense or something like that Jetix?

1:05:27Blessing Adeoye Jr.:yeah do you remember Jetix? yeah I mean like I didn't watch it they had that over there? no I remember it because it was like later on I saw clips of it and stuff like that ah yeah Kebabs right in says missed we we we news I don't like saying we more than once in a row Wolverine vaguely French Wolverine got a gameplay deep dive today revealing the chapter select references is the morph meme from the 90s cartoon of rogan's in the bed with a photo this one's for you morph are you watching x-men 97 oh yeah that shit is popping i've i oh my god i've only watched three episodes of season two so i need to get back to it it's good it's good but i've i've heard people not fuck with season two that much it's not as good as season one it kind of like it tries to condense Age of Apocalypse and Days of Future Past into a few episodes, but it's as good as watching the 90s cartoon, which is exactly what it's going for.

1:06:23You watch it and you're like, yeah, this just reminds me of back then when I wasn't trying to pick apart narrative flow and arcs and that kind of stuff. Just some wild shit is going on constantly. Viva Pinata was on For Kids.

1:06:35Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh, I was close. Tam, thank you so much for joining me on this episode. Thank you for having me. Oh, yeah. What you been up to? You got anything that people should check out? Yeah, you can check me out. I have some work on GameSpot. But also, I've been putting out videos on my YouTube channel, TamarH. And it's like doing little, I do like a Friday news recap at the end of the day. So there will be one today later on if you want to check it out, 5 p.m. PT. And then I do like a topical thing every Wednesday. And yeah, there it is. And I, you know, I'm YouTubing myself up. Look at all those expressions.

1:07:10Look at that.

1:07:11Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Look at the views. Yeah, but that, yeah. So if you can subscribe there, great. I also have a little website that I'm working on, play.gg where Lucy is doing her looking for a game and doing like amazing job there. They like introduced a bunch of curators and publications. You're one of them. I am one of them. I'm one of them. My one is called Bonfire Sit. So if you want to find that, please do. And there's also like a, I have a podcast called Bonfire Sit as well. It's just like a audio version of my YouTube stuff currently, but I'm going to expand it into like some other stuff. Yeah. Yeah. That's really good.

1:07:43Just because people were like, Hey, I can't watch YouTube and I like to listen to stuff. Can you put it on there? I was like, yeah, sure. There's no skin off my back. So it's there, but yeah, follow everywhere. Oh yeah. Support. And yeah, let's do it. Love that.

1:07:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:If you can bring back up that cloud, Barrett. One more time. Do you think that when you play the song, the real Slim Shady by Eminem, that this guy stands up? You know? I think he stands up. Yeah, he stands up. He stands up. He stands up. He stands up for sure. He stands up. He's the one in the crowd in the live show where he's trying to get Eminem's attention so he can come on and do like a few bars. Oh, yeah. You know, try and make it viral clip. Man. That's what he's doing. Oh, my God. I'm Slim Shady or something. I'm Slim Shady. All the Slim Shadies are just stimitated. This is, he's like, I am the way I am.

1:08:33Blessing Adeoye Jr.:If you want to, why would I say I am? Yeah, exactly. I'm going to go listen to some Eminem now. Hell yeah. Of course, this has been Confident Games Daily. Right after this is every game coming out in September. And then after that, it's me and Nick doing a two-person party mode. And then I'm off to Disneyland. Till next time, Game Daily.
