In short

Kinda Funny Games Daily covers (1) reports that PlayStation 4/5 digital games now require a 30-day online license check, potentially cutting off access during long offline periods; (2) a third Nintendo/Illumination animated movie scheduled for April 12, 2028; (3) Noah Hawley’s Far Cry TV show using an anthology format but not adapting any specific Far Cry games.

Guests

Blessing Adio Jr. (host) and Andy Cortez (Nitro Rifle). No outside guests are featured.

Guest backgrounds

Blessing and Andy are co-hosts/commentators for Kinda Funny Games Daily; Andy is a regular co-host and Blessing is the show’s host.

Key claims

The PlayStation DRM change may be intentional (to combat refund scams and/or future licensing/piracy) and is framed as a preservation/ownership threat. Nintendo/Illumination’s “event film” labeling is treated as placeholder/marketing. Far Cry will be “Fargo-like” anthology stories, not game adaptations, which frustrates some franchise creatives.

Notable examples

PT on PS4 as a preservation worry; DoesItPlay/Kotaku reports; Nintendo Switch 2 DK Bonanza sales; Far Cry 5’s cult opening; Fargo as the anthology comparison.

1:20Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Today's gaming news stories include players are reporting a PlayStation DRM issue, a third Nintendo Illumination movie is set for 2028 and the far cry tv show won't be adapting any of the games of all this and more because this is kind of funny games daily yo what's up welcome to kind of funny games daily for tuesday april 28th 2026 i'm your host blessing adio jr joining me is the nitro rifle Andy Cortez. Good morning Blessing Adioye Jr. I really enjoyed the only two text messages you sent me during your return of the king. Because I don't want to annoy you. I don't know if I'm annoying you or not when I'm texting you during the movie.

2:04Well first off it's great content. Okay. Because you know I ended the podcast the kind of funny podcast yesterday with I just received a text message from Blessing and he told me holy fuck it's Gollum. Dude, I wish somebody else was there at the moment where I'm like starting the movie and I'm like, who the fuck are they? Oh, shit, it's gone.

2:28Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Like, I feel like somebody needed to be there to document just how surprised I was. Smeagol and Beagle. I was like, it's Smeagol. Smeagol and Beagle. Damn, look at that flashback. And now I have confirmation that you're done with Return of the King because you returned the 4K box set. I'm like, holy shit, the journey is over. I can't believe it. I can't believe I watched all three Lord of the Rings movies. That's like nine hours of movie right there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I watched it all. Don't tell me anything about it. I don't want to know. I'll keep it. I don't want to know. Keep it to your keep it safe.

2:57I can't wait for you to now watch the extended edition and be like, wow, there's more. Here's the thing, though. Not soon. You wait till next year. That's the thing is I might wait a decade. Give it a couple years. Yeah, I might wait a while. Ain't no rush. Ain't no rush. But it's there. I have to wait until I'm like, oh, man, OK, I want to go back and watch Lord of the Rings again. And that's where I do the extended version. Here's the thing. Here's the problem with doing that. you're gonna watch the extended version and be like i think i saw this yeah i think i saw this and then you're gonna watch the originals again afterwards to be like oh what did it and it's like oh yeah wow they added that part oh that part is in there oh wow i get more backstory here yeah yeah i mean the only it's the it's the it's not the unexpected journey for most viewers it is the expected journey here's the thing right i because i enjoyed all three movies if i was to choose one right now that i would watch the extended version of it would be return of the king because i want to know what like what what didn't make the cut i feel like everything is here that i would want to ask for what was on wolves left on the cutting room floor the floor that was all action the first thing bless asked me was who who's smog yeah yeah i right before the show i sit down i'm like yo what's up with smog i thought i was gonna see a smog dragon yeah and turns out that's from the hobbit that's not from these movies i've heard all about this smog guy and you told me that he's played by Benedict Cumberbatch.

4:14And he puts on a hell of a show. That's crazy. This guy is in full character in the making of, crawling around on all fours in his gray mo-cap suit. He's just doing it all. Wow. Is Smaug in the first Hobbit movie? I don't know, but he's, yeah, I don't remember. I don't think so. Just imagine a dragon. Imagine a dragon? Yeah. looking at all the different timelines looking at the different universes but also yeah Imagine Dragons that wasn't on purpose Radioactive I love Imagine Dragons man

4:54Blessing Adeoye Jr.:remember if you're watching live you can be a part of the show by super chatting in over on youtube.com slash kindoffunnygames we couldn't do this without our producers over on patreon.com slash kindoffunny so thank you to Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster and Delaney the Psalm Twining. Thank you. If you had to choose between Imagine Dragons and Owl City, who are you rolling with? You would not believe your eyes on me and you find your flies. I would probably go with Imagine Dragons because they made that last flag capture the flag game. And one day I want to try it out. There it is. There's Benedict Cumberbatch.

5:30Wow. On all fours. Look at him. Look at him. I loved him in Imitation Game. Put on a hell of a show, bless. wow yeah he's all the way being doing it owl city i feel like came and went too fast because they had of course fireflies was the big hit but then they had a song called vanilla twilight no they didn't yeah you wouldn't recognize vanilla twilight if i played it for you in my in my head canon owl city put out one song and said that's enough no they had at least three really i think i know i don't know if i can name the one after vanilla twilight though but I feel like they had like three maybe two I guess they were like Mims Mims had two songs Vanilla Twilight is like the like that's in the Owl City word randomizer a collection of words like of course it's called they made a song called Vanilla Twilight and it sounds exactly like Fire Emblem he looks like Glenn Powell a little bit really this guy?

6:29look at like the second photo yeah What if he learned that that was Glenn Powell? A storied history. Crazy career shift.

6:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:For now, let's begin with what is and forever will be the Roper Report. It's time for some news. We have seven stories today. Oh, Bigger's Dozer!

6:55Can you say the Roper Report but like how Owl City would say it?

7:03Only if you do it the way Obama would do it. Roper.

7:10That was good. Thank you. It's getting better. It's good. I've been practicing my Obama.

7:15Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It's time for the Roper report. There you go. Oh, yeah. This guy's talent, everybody. Story number one. PlayStation users report new online license checks for digital games. This is Gabe Gerwin at GameSpot. This is a lot of G's. Everything's making me giggle. I don't know, man. it's yesterday i was hung over and today i'm so refreshed i got such good sleep last night that's something you say when you are like just insanely stoked it's not a geez there when you say it out loud the digital games is gabe gerwin at game spot oh yeah okay i see that yeah a new quirk whether it's a bug or a feature remains unclear has begun affecting playstation 4 and playstation 5 owners with digital game purchases it appears the system's latest updates have introduced a 30-day online license check for digital games, leaving those who have extended internet outages without access to certain games.

8:03Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Several users, including the Game Accessibility Twitter account DoesItPlay, have reported that all new PlayStation Store purchases, those made before March 2026, appear to be unaffected, feature a 30-day timer that shows when you will need to connect to the internet again before losing access. This timer doesn't appear to be visible on the PS5, but according to Does It Play, it is still being tracked in the background. While unlikely to be a tangible issue for most players, there are definitely use cases that could see a PS4 or PS5 disconnected from the internet for extended periods of time. It's unclear, as of now, if this was rolled out as an intentional feature or was a bug included with the recent firmware updates.

8:45Blessing Adeoye Jr.:The online support bot on the official PlayStation website implies it was done on purpose, but AI has certainly given us false information in the past according to a statement does it play gave to kotaku the license checks may have been introduced to combat refund scams but were designed to convert into unlimited licenses afterwards andy this seems like a big issue that i hope is an accident uh you know what i would put my money that it's not an accident i think that if i look at what the what playstation's trying to currently do i would say that maybe these are preventative measures for future hardware and maybe just kind of getting these measures in right now so that maybe the conversation doesn't surround you know they don't wait for the next console drop or whatever i feel like now is their time to want to do this before this could muddy any sort of press stuff for their upcoming console.

9:49I also see a lot of people talking about, is this, does this maybe have anything to do with a possibly rumored handheld or anything like that? And, you know, the way that that would kind of mess with licenses and the way people may try to skirt those, you know, laws, not really laws, but you know what I mean, regulations, I guess. It's obviously not good. This isn't great. Yeah. The fact that your console would have to connect every 30 days in order to verify that it owns this video game. Yeah, they own these games. Really, really bad. That's something you don't really want to do right now. Especially at a time when people are less incentivized to buy your console now more than ever.

10:35Yeah. It's just a string of bad news following a string of bad news. Here's my thing, right? I have a console for the people that don't like this. It's called the PS3. yeah that harkens back to a quote from 2013 when xbox was trying to do essentially the same thing i don't think they did in the same exact sort of way but it was the same idea of you got to log online in order to play your games that was the thing that i think we cared about so much back then and maybe is less of an issue as time goes as we're all more and more and more connected but i still think is very much an issue when we're talking about games preservation of course right like i look at a and i know this is a weird case but i look at something like pt where i still have my ps4 that has pt on it and the idea that because of this like or because of any sort of regulation oh shit that might be because that might become unplayable because whoever doesn't want me to play that anymore i think that's scary i think there's there's power in ownership and also i think people have desire to actually own their games you know i think digital games are becoming more and more of a piece of a pie that should benefit everyone but it's things like this that make you go, ah, shit, okay, maybe I should be collecting physical games.

11:44Maybe I'm just leasing these things. You start to lose any sense of ownership when that power is still kind of held over you. I think that this is nothing but bad news, and this will likely continue. We'll discover more and more bad things about it. There's been a lot of people on Reset Era kind of discovering and trying to explore how the actual feature works. And there are people who have been testing out this game bot on this date does this. This game bot on this date does this. And it does seem like that little ping will happen and tell you, hey, sorry, you need to connect to the Internet to verify that you own this.

12:30it does seem like there are people like this is Sony's way of trying to combat this 15 day return policy that's a lot of the discussion that I'm seeing a lot of people assuming that this is Sony's way of saying we don't want you to verify that you own this thing to get the unlimited license and then return it and then be able to have the unlimited license for this game even though you return it within the 14 day period I guess there's like a way that the DRM will address or not address, but like give out either the temporary license or the permanent one. I'm not exactly sure how a lot of that works.

13:09I think there still needs to be a little bit more investigation there, but it's not good, you know, especially in a day and age where more and more people are, you know, I would say like PC gaming is still probably the best way to not deal with this sort of stuff. And even there are some issues on that side as well, but either way man it's like it's like you wake up and there's constantly going to be a new bad news thing happening but like i mentioned earlier dude less and less people are incentivized to buy a playstation now with with the rising costs this is just another reason to go damn you're really trying to just push me away from your ecosystem oh for sure uh want to bring in

13:52Blessing Adeoye Jr.:some super chats because a lot of people have a lot to say um alvaro cn says important games for me i always buy physical too many stores closed already and we don't have any guarantees buying digital only get cheap sales um street shadow also writes and says just to combat reactionary takes the biggest indication that this is likely a bug is that it is not widespread and ps5 doesn't seem to be impacted i feel like there's ps5 not impacted i read that as ps5 is impacted by this or at least some people are reporting this on ps5 but correct me if i'm wrong i'm trying to click this thing and the menu keeps blocking the comments that are applied to it um immersion fragrances writes and says did we flip timelines now playstation is putting up l's uh while xbox wins here's the thing whoever's in the lead is always the most likely to fuck up i feel like that's always been the history of hey we just sold millions and millions and millions of our last console now we're in the lead we can get away with shit or we're gonna we're gonna at least try to get away with shit that the other guys might not do because guess what when xbox is in second or third place they are in are in the position to go fuck we need we need to get people back on our side let's create features let's you know let's do better on our games or whatever xyz thing to try and get people back not that xbox is doing all those things but usually it's how it goes and then the first place is the one that kind of you know rests on their laurels laurels a bit so that part doesn't surprise me if playstation is actually doing this if this isn't a bug if this is a feature I kind of look at that and I go yeah that's par for the course yeah that's what I do whenever we're like whenever I see our numbers dip in bless I start sending people pieces of my clothing you know just sort of try to win them back you know try to win back the bad base also I don't know if I would say Xbox is winning even though Xbox in the last few weeks have been making and saying good things I feel like the only winner I got in my heart right now is my Steam Deck.

15:48You know what I mean? Nintendo's doing alright even though they don't have the craziest lineup, but they are the ones that, you know, are still putting up numbers, you know? They don't have a lineup that makes you say I need to get a Switch 2 right now, but it's still selling pretty well, you know?

16:06Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Dexter Schwarzler says, I can't tell you how proud I am of you, Blessed, for watching Lord of the Rings. Need you and Andy to run KFD &D. Much love to y 'all. I want to do KFD &D still bad, and here's the thing. For us to do KFD &D, we need somebody to be the DM. And I think that would likely either be Nick or me. And I've been playing D &D in my free time to try and, like, learn how to DM a little bit. Manage that shit hard. Like, I underrated the amount of knowledge and the amount of skill it takes to DM. You ever get asked a question and you're just like, man, I don't know. Yeah. And, like, I'm asking our DM's name is Riley.

16:42I'm asking Riley all these questions. And she's got something for everything. Like, she's up there freestyling. She's up there like improv-ing, doing the voices, creating the story. And I'm like, damn, that's a skill. I don't know if I have it in me to, like, I know I have it in me to do that. I just know that'll take a lot of preparation and a lot of studying up on the world of D &D to do that. I'm right there with you. It is such an underrated skill that until you kind of listen to it, you don't really fully have an appreciation for it. But we all had the privilege of being in our friends from formerly Rooster Teeth, Tales of Stinky Dragon.

17:19We got to voice some characters in their show that they've got running right now, their campaign. And so I voiced two characters in February. And then I voiced one recently for one of their side shows that's more of a X-Men superhero type deal. It's less medieval fantasy. and as I'm trying to get clips of myself to like get like put in a reel or whatever I I'm just listening to what the DM is doing and saying and we'll get asked a question so what am I looking at around here well you're looking at it you see a window there and you see a bed okay well there's there's two beds but uh the person the other person in the room took both mattresses and puts them against the wall it's like how do you know this why like you pull that out of thin air like it's so you're so you can just make the rules like that was one thing that always confused me with dnd until i kind of started would i would start listening to other big podcasts or when we had our fast and furious dungeon dragons run the other uh a couple years ago now with nick um but yeah it's it's quite the skill for sure and i'm at the point where i'm like i think nick would be the person to do it i think nick has the creativity and already has the skills from the fast and furious thing and he has the interest like i brought up dnd in the past and i can see nick's face light up a little bit when i mention it so he he gets excited yeah we gotta

18:43Blessing Adeoye Jr.:juice him up um i want to bring in another super chat from volk dasher who says this drm way this drm was probably the quickest defense until a alt since ps5 and ps5 pro root keys were leaked i'm reading this verbatim uh you can go any torrent site and download a large amount of ps5 games and jailbreaker console ps andy and bless tax thank you so much thank you both that dasher and yeah i'm sure again i'm not in a place with this where i'm leaning one way or the other as far as is this a bug is this a feature if this is a feature then for sure yeah i believe this is probably their way to get around anybody who's trying to either pirate shit or game the system of the game returns and all this shit right like i think that's what they're doing but also then stepping on everybody else's fun in the process when it comes to how much people like us care about game ownership and like i know it's it's becoming more and more of a very rare case where your playstation is not connected to the internet every 30 days but even still i don't care i want the option right you know i want to have the freedom be like hey i don't need the connectivity in order to play these games that I own.

19:53And if you're trying to bypass or deal with piracy, I feel like whenever a company tries to do something as drastic as this, that that only ignites the fires of the pirates more and say, like, no, we're going to, now we're going to pirate everything. I was planning on buying that one, but no, like we're going to try to do everything even harder now. and I don't to me like the casual audience will still buy the thing but anybody who was maybe on the fence of going down that path of piracy they are going to do it for sure now because now it's like well fuck you now you're trying to take away ownership now you're trying to say that this thing has to be connected to the internet for you know after 30 days in order to work you know I'm going to do this harder now for me it's just another reason to go play games somewhere else you know I'll just play games on PC or Xbox or somewhere else that doesn't do the same exact thing.

20:51Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Let's move on to story number two. A third Nintendo Illumination movie is set for 2028. That's according to the Universal schedule. I'm reading from Andy Robinson at Video Games Chronicle. A new Nintendo and Illumination animated movie is scheduled for release in April 2028. That's according to the newly updated release schedule on the Movie Studio's Spanish website, which was updated on april 23rd to add among other things a new nintendo collaboration according to the schedule and an untitled illumination slash nintendo event film will release on april 12th 2028 unsurprisingly the movie is listed as an animation project event film event film that's the big takeaway here what do you mean it's bound I mean we already saw a Mario movie that brought in Star Fox we saw Pikmin in there we saw characters from all the different Mario movies which is like still within the IP but it's still interesting that they would do that I don't think you call it an event film I don't think you use that term unless it's like you know don't don't make me dream unless we're doing shit don't make me dream unless we're doing shit i just viewed as placeholder text of like i think any i think for illumination any nintendo collab film is an event film in the sense of like it's going to be one of the it's going to be the highest um grossing movie of theirs and like you think they're calling monsters and minions and monsters an event film no but i think they're calling mario an event film i to me that's just like a collab they've already done that can you have that many events you know what i mean wait what's minions and monsters it's a new thing coming up just seen a lot of commercials about him less minions and monsters minions and monsters what's the minions are like creating monsters they have access to technology that you know dark lords and and you know uh you know uh sorcerers have access to and they are creating frankenstein type creatures Why do you know this?

22:56NBA playoffs Commercials They're all over the place These little fuckers are all over the place Now when I did see the logo several months ago I'm like man they're still Illumination Just putting mid after mid out there It does seem like General consensus that After the first Despicable Me That there was just a Fucking nosedive of Actual comedic quality in these movies What about Despicable Me 2? I never watched that one, but I feel like the streets fucked with it. In review. Did we do that in review? I don't know. I'm going to put it on a YouTube poll and ask, do the streets fuck with Despicable Me 2?

23:36Let me do that. I'll get back to you here in a second. While you're doing that, yeah, I view event as like, maybe somebody else has the language for what they call their movies in general, because I wonder if that's just a placeholder for, we don't have a title here, so we'll just call this an event film. But I don't know. either way my thought was actually donkey kong oh because donkey kong's been rumored for a while uh starring seth rogan and it makes perfect sense because as we're watching the mario movie we're going where the heck is this yeah where's dk where is he like we got fox in here but like where's yeah man when i love a movie that's just dk mario and fox hanging out just a buddy cop i mean at that point that's a smash trio well i mean yeah you're you are kind to write i think that samus really kind of makes it go full circle i think the inclusion of samus really makes me think of you need smash bro you need somebody who's like a realistic person you need somebody with a regular human human ass yeah like these three are cartoons they all fit in the same world we need somebody i need a mr ro mr uh uh or no what do i say roger rabbit I was going to say Mr.

24:48Rogers Rabbit That's what I almost said I need a human in there Or just an animated version When I think back to that one leaked animated film Or not leaked animated film But it was like this really awesome artist Did tests of how Samus would look Like in a sort of DreamWorks animated thing It's like oh I want that I want that movie I don't want illumination You need somebody for like when they stand next to Mario They're like what are you Because our proportions are not the same We're both human I'm not you like Captain Falcon and Samus stand next to each other it's like okay what's up but then they see Mario walk up and they're like what the fuck is that mushroom grows in a weird way yeah no I look at this as either Donkey Kong or Mario 3 but I'm I feel like it's time to start getting these spin-offs I think it's about time I think you gotta diversify a little bit when do we see Kirby make an appearance um okay you want my hall h is it hall h i'm like on my hall h pitch we go we got to get this on the wall behind you yeah like in the future we go donkey kong as the next movie 28 2028 which makes sense because of the theme parks that you know like all that has been making a big splash you have bonanza last year like nintendo is obviously trying to push dk right now so have that be next up on your movie slate there's also really good stuff there you can do with dk you get in the the Kong family, Diddy, all this, Kong, Diddy Kong, Diddy Kong, Diddy Kong, do all that.

26:20It'll be great. 2029. There's two places you go. You either go Star Fox or you go Mario. You think they're doing a year after? Yeah. I think it's time to start ramping this shit up. Okay. I think it's time to start. We see how much money they make. Yeah. Let's, let's hire on another 200 employees or whatever. And then honestly, maybe you do two in one year. Maybe you do Star Fox and Mario in 2029. I would love a smaller scale Star Fox thing. I think it'd be fun. Maybe it's a TV show. I'm just so sad about the illumination of it all, though, man. I know. I'm beating a dead horse. I know. And whenever I bring up my points, Tim already responds to me as if, Andy, you're beating the dead horse because you just want Bill Lord and Chris Miller to work on this.

27:14You just want the Spider-Verse team. But it's like, I also would love the Ninja Turtles Mute Mahan team. I would love any quality movie that gives you really funny, quirky, good writing. Just give it a, it just makes me so sad. Visually, like, you can't even.

27:33Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It's so, yeah. They're so, so well made. Yeah. They're so well animated. You're watching that thing in theaters like, this is fucking incredible to look at. I got a hot take on that, right? but uh continue to finish off off my haul age 2030 is smash and smash introduces us to kirby and then after that we get the kirby movie bam you know what is kirby doing what is kirby doing yeah is he talking uh it's it's was he he wasn't talking to kirby right back at you right what the fuck is that fox kids you don't remember kirby right back at you oh dude oh dude kirby right back at you was awesome it was a saturday morning cartoon on was this after martin or why is it called right back at you i don't know it's funny because yeah that was it's funny because that was my first time watching kirby's show so why is he right back at yeah i feel like that this should be kirby's first time actually if anything it's like when i first heard back streets back i was like what do you mean you're back you just got here yeah exactly yeah but no he wasn't i don't think kirby wasn't talking there i don't think kirby talks 52 uh say that yes the streets do fuck with this despicable me see that's what i despicable me too yeah okay that's what i thought now here's my thing about illumination because i think you're absolutely right however in a weird way doesn't that fit perfectly with mario because mario was mario doesn't have a story really like mario in a weird way is just about the charming characters and the gameplay which you can't you can't depict in a movie really i i disagree only from the standpoint that my my take is still that i don't need the story to be good i just need better moment to moment comedic writing okay i i i don't i don't need this overarching story with a crazy amazing twist or like a revelation and then you go holy fuck all what a callback and all this all comes together and like holy shit they were planting the seeds of the story no i don't need just give me good comedic moment-to-moment writing and like when you can't even do that i think i think um justin mcelroy from the besties put it perfectly in one of their episodes recently about the mario movie mario cannot undergo change ever because mario is always just mario he's never going to learn or grow he cannot change into this character that has seen a lot of shit been through a lot of trauma is now like a different person he's the mascot he has to be at the origin point he is zero zero on yeah of of all all things nintendo so he can never really change as a character and undergo shit he's always going to be himself and that's why you don't really have a whole lot that happens to him he might love his brother a little bit more you know yeah he might enjoy relationships a little bit more but he's never going to like holy fuck I'm a different man now like whoa Mario can remember where he wasn't you know when you ever you see comparisons of like man look at this character from Game of Thrones in season one versus season four they've been through some shit that's never going to be Mario and I think that was like the perfect most salient point I'd heard on Mario and that's okay I don't need story shit I just need like any better writing I just need to like I want to laugh more and this is me like getting on my like high my own high horse like I would love to have just been in the room been like let's make this joke this let's do this here yeah i think this would be funnier my thing is like i i think in a weird way i for me it's not illumination and it's not illumination's style of mario that's the problem but i think it is the it is just the way they're making it right it is the pacing it is mario galaxy feels like it's being paced like a youtube video yeah you know what i mean like it is very like it's a moment it's a bunch of scenes that like don't connect and that's okay if i'm in if i'm really enjoying what's happening yeah but i'm not really enjoying what's happening a lot of the time and i'm just like colors are pretty animation's amazing fight scenes are fucking awesome choreography every now and then is like is my thing with those movies because you're right i think all those things you said are are true but yeah like there's something lacking as far as how this story all connects together in a way that you know in a way that makes me care about the character development and like i know you just said mario doesn't really have character development and i agree but bowser should you know luigi should peach like the characters that are around mario give me the puss in boots give it a dreamworks oh my god like oh man oh my god oh my goodness blessing we can talk about this all day but also you got to make a luigi's mansion movie as well that should fit somewhere in there and honestly could be a halloween time thing i'm saying all this like a special yeah like um what was the what was the marvel nightmare something yeah werewolf by night werewolf by night where ui g by mansion what are does i'm trying look there's been just a mess of the last several years of companies buying out companies and ownership and rights and all that shit who has like the mario streaming rights is that netflix the mario streaming um it might be net it was at it was on netflix at some point okay i don't know if it still is because we haven't had a whole lot of mentions of anything television wise or anything just direct to streaming yeah for nintendo right correct okay i feel like we're going to get there soon smaller scale things smaller projects that makes sense you know i think that's the way to do it because the thing is i'm listening all these different movies illumination can't do all that right illumination can probably put out one movie every two to three years from nintendo it's still on netflix session of this okay how are we gonna do it um a few people are saying it's peacock in chat movies are peacock and universal it rotates peacock at it first snow bike mike and youtube pat says guts got so many movies they're about to become directed dvd sequels and movie they're about to become to dvd sequels and movies i get what you're saying Luigi's Mansion sounds like a direct-to-DVD movie.

33:41Yeah, like, that sounds like a special that would be 38 minutes long on just the streaming service. You know what I mean? I just think it deserves better. I think Luigi's Mansion should be a theatrical release. Like, think about it this way. You want Blumhouse. We're talking about the Mario movie, which Mario Galaxy got a negative 10 on Rotten Tomatoes, and it's still one of the highest grossing animated movies of all time. We could make a Luigi's Mansion movie. Because that's still going to be in the top 10 highest grossing animated things. Yeah, there's a good chance. Well, it would also be a good chance to see how much juice Luigi's got.

34:18I mean, that's fair. You know what I mean? I like that, yeah. Honestly, I'm more curious about Star Fox and DK than Luigi. I want to see how much juice DK's got in the theatrical release. I also want to see, because going into the movie, I mentioned to Greg on the show that I see Star Fox being in the Mario movie, similar to Obafemi being called up and fighting Brock Lesnar in the WrestleMania main event, right? Basically, for people who have no idea what I just said, basically in wrestling, there was a guy who was in a lower division, got called up, and they had him fight one of the biggest guys in the bigger division to elevate him.

34:56I want to see what that Mario bump looks like. Release a Star Fox standalone thing, and let's see how it does now that he hung out with Mario for a movie. as of nintendo's q3 financial report which was february 2026 so that was about a little over two months ago or close to two months ago dk bonanza had sold 4.20 4.25 million which is more than i thought it would be okay to be honest with you i mean dk has the juice that's a that's that's a pretty heavy attach rate i mean it also was the first video game on the Switch 2. Not the first video game. The first single player adventure game on the Switch 2.

35:42Yeah, I mean, as of the as of April 22nd, 2026, the first 10 months of the Nintendo Switch 2, they've sold 5.4 million copies. That's an insane attach rate. Or 5.4 million Switch 2s. Oh, yeah. That's a crazy attach rate. It came out month two. It was the first single player thing. How many people you think beat that game? Beat DK Bonanza? Yeah. I have a feeling it's got to be one of the worst completion rates. Really? Aside from people that are kind of funny, the amount of people that tell me that they just fell off of that game. Really? Yeah. See, I was going to say like 50%. I don't know if that's high or low.

42:33Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And we're back with story number three. Noah Hawley says his Far Cry TV show won't be adapting any of the games and is instead betting on an anthology format. This is Fran Ruiz at Eurogamer. I believe we already knew about the anthology thing, but it not being based off of any of the games seems very interesting. It hasn't been too long since we learned that a Far Cry TV series is in the works. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Rob Mac and Alien Earth's Noah Hawley are leading the charge, and the latter has now revealed a bit more about his approach to adapting the beloved video game franchise.

43:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:spoiler alert he's not adapting any one game deadline recently had the chance to sit down and chat with holly who's now preparing for the alien show's second season and writing the scripts for far cry while the live action adaptation of ubisoft's open world fps series is still in the early stages he confirmed it's moving along and could be shot shortly after alien wraps up quote i built them both out of london at pinewood and there is a secondary location that will serve both shows i've tried to be smart about it he revealed when asked about what how he was planning to juggle both shows it must be noted that while he's overseeing the two ambitious projects he won't be directing the entire seasons in fact he's skipping directorial duties on alien earth season two in order to better focus on far cry according to deadlines piece holly is directing far cry's first two episodes on top of writing the scripts after cracking the story on that front he's reconfirmed after the announcement last year that his take on Far Cry won't adapt any of the games.

44:03Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Quote, One thing that really attracted me to the Far Cry franchise is that it is an anthology, and every time they release a new game, it is a totally different story. That's how I approached Fargo, and it was an exciting idea that we could build an anthology game adaptation where each season is a different story about civilized people thrown into situations where they have to become increasingly uncivilized. end quote well that's a pitch perfect description of what the far cry series has become under ubisoft's guidance that hasn't stopped nostalgic gamers from raising the alarm before learning anything about the show even far cry 4 creative director alex hutchinson said on linkedin holly's quick holly's quick comments are pissing him off which suggests that even the far even the franchise's key creatives would rather retread old stories than honor the franchise's format in a different medium quote let me have a dialogue with this franchise because this is what i think a far cry story is holly added before claiming video games quote are built in a way that doesn't make for the best drama end quote in most cases a lot to chew on here i think the big headline of the story being of course anthology we knew that not based on any particular far cry game I guess we kind of knew that, but also it's kind of like the lead here that we're talking about.

45:23I don't think it's bad because even though I love Far Cry 3, I don't know if that's the perfect story to adapt. Just as far as like, I think Vos is cool. I would love to see Vos in live action, actually. But aside from that, it's like, it's not the deepest story. It's not the most interesting, you know, like you can make it better. but I think the big premise of Far Cry yeah being about these big big personality villains that have an that have an area under control and like trying to get from underneath that right like I think that's those are kind of the tenets that make Far Cry what it is and there's so many stories you can tell within that for me it just kind of makes me feel like okay well just make whatever TV show you want to say it was inspired by Far Cry.

46:11Like, if you're going to use the IP, it reminds me of a Call of Duty or a Battlefield movie. Like, those movies have to have touchstones in order to be a movie about that game. The movies have to have... Call of Duty movies, you know, who do we got to have? My main man, my number one, Soap McTavish, you know? Yeah, you got to have Soap McTavish. There's got to be a character that you can recall and say, I know who that dude is. I know who that character is in order for it to be a game based on the IP. But if you're just talking about the general concept of a character being thrown into a situation that they're uncomfortable with and they have to kind of like, you know, I guess get more and more aggressive against the aggressor, then that's just like any, that's just a story.

46:59I don't know. It's so bizarre to me. Unless you're going to be referencing and having those main characters in the game then what really is this i i view this all as such a byproduct of where we're at in entertainment where everything has to be based on ip which is why we're seeing a million video game adaptations because video games right now is just a sea of ip that's been uh mostly unused in the entertainment space tv and movies um and so like oh i want i have a new tv show i want to make that's about being out in the wilderness and fighting people with guns oh well let's adapt far cry because that's the only way we're going to get this made is if we call it something that already exists which i think sucks yeah but also like i think i've also just reached the place where i'm like i guess that's the business like i guess that's just how how things are and it depresses me but i'm also like i think i've i've hit the acceptance part of my my depression yeah but i i like i guess at that point it just you know i love i love fargo i think fargo's an amazing show because of this because of the storytelling because of the you know the fact that it is this anthology and every season it's a new adventure you're going on which again like he's like holly's mentioning very similar to far cry when a new game comes out it's a standalone it has nothing to do with the prior one but if you're not adapting what makes those games far cry then you're just talking about making like a regular old movie it reminds me of i've um as somebody who is is constantly referencing the uh the dan levitard show and they're them talking about miami vice and how when they did the original miami vice reboot with jamie fox and i forget who else was in that i know what you're talking about um because the brand new one is going to be starring michael b jordan and uh homeboy who was elvis i'm blanking on his name oh really yeah um is it is it the dude from euphoria no no awesome butler right so the the prior sort of reboot that was done maybe a decade ago or whatever with yes that's the thank you Kevin the one with Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx the story here is that the director and writer was like they wouldn't have let me make this crime movie unless I had to call Miami Vice or else it's just an action movie and they wouldn't have really let me make it unless it had an IP attached to it so it just feels like it just feels like Holly's like well i got a bunch of like cool action concepts and stories about you know whatever a person being thrust into a really tough situation i guess we can call it far cry like you know i got well i got two questions for you in that case right my first question is which far cry story would you adapt slash would you even adapt a far cry story like is this something that you would you would do because i look at the far cry games and i'm like i guess you can make something cool out of far cry 5 or far cry 3 but if i'm in the if i'm in the boardroom and you're pitching it a far cry tv show i'm kind of like i don't know it feels like whatever far cry 5 was always the most interesting to me because i just i gravitate towards stories like that and also far cry 5 when that game came out i still think to this day it's one of my favorite openings to a video game sure and you know sure it fell apart here and there or whatever but i far cry 5 is still the most interesting to me because i i love a story about a weird ass cult a weird ass religious cult and this is this is on the heels of you know after a couple years of falling in love with true detective and the idea of like these pockets of society that have so much power that you know these cult-like figures and people follow them and i always just love the the idea of like these people went there to investigate this weird kind of cult family and as shit kind of goes crazy they try to fly away and then their airplane or helicopter or whatever goes down and now they're stuck behind enemy lines and it's like holy shit what a cool concept that would probably be the most interesting one to me but that's also coming from someone who never played Far Cry 4 I didn't play the one with I did play Far Cry 4 I couldn't tell you shit about it except for troy baker i know he was like a flamboyant villain that's all i remember yeah yeah i might because then my follow-up question is what makes far cry far cry because for me the most important things about far cry or at least when when i think of why i'm picking a far picking up a far cry game off a shelf it's less so the main narrative of these games and more so like i know what i'm getting when i get a far cry which is a big villain personality that is a dictatorial force that is oppressing people and you are playing as somebody who is using guns to free and and i guess re-liberate and liberate these oppressed people um and so for me i'm like if i get those bones and you call it far cry that's kind of good enough and then if you give me loose references right like if you threw the character of voss in there and told whatever story them i'm kind of down for that if you threw in um far cry 5 villain don't tell me actually something seed john seed john seed yeah seed if you're throwing him in there right like or john carl esposito part six yeah like if you start to you know fill filter in these characters or references to them or have a part where yeah somebody's like dude this is going on over this island is fucking crazy i think that could be fun give me some hunting you know give me give me a um komodo dragon that fucks me up oh right yeah yeah a couple i mean i expect a lot of humor as well i think joseph seed joseph seed shit yeah my bad john farcratz i told i totally just like backed you up on that one.

52:57I thought I was right. I thought you were right. It was close enough. But I don't know. It is kind of a weird one. It does seem like this is an opportunity for creators to say, well, I've always had this idea for this sort of thing. What if we could attach it to an IP and just have it kind of loosely based to it? It does feel like kind of cheating though. Well, then you're not really making it the IP then. Because I'm kind of with you. If I was to make a Far Cry movie or Far Cry TV show, I would make it the loose bones of Far Cry 3 and then just make it better yeah you know you can't you can't make in my opinion you cannot make a far cry tv show unless you have several of the characters from one of those games in this yeah write it however you want use the loose bones of that story and kind of build it up a bit better narratively but if you're not using that then it's just another ip yeah it's just another thing

53:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:and to your point like in this last quote with holly that i i disagree with but you can dig into it and have a big conversation about it right he says quote let me have a dialogue with this franchise because this is what i think a far cry story is uh and then it adds that uh video games are built in a way that doesn't make for the best drama i disagree with that last part because i just think it depends on the type of game that you're making i'm sure i i hear him as far as like you know i think for a lot of types of games you have this structure of what the game mechanics are and you kind of have to like write around that to justify why you're doing this thing in the game and you know maybe you it's not as story led as when you might get out of another medium but there are plenty of games that are story led that like have such good drama to them so i disagree in that sense and maybe that's why he's like i'm not going to adapt a specific far cry story i'm going to redo it however i do think there are ways that you could do it i think you could have a vase and could tell a story about fucking young adults on that landed on an island that is ruled by crazy people that's a cool concept yeah that's far cry three you know and is this writing a 10 out of 10 no but you take what is what a seven out of 10 story success and it's been a while and uplift that and fucking make it dope yeah anyway because fargo rocks should i watch it fargo's awesome i got a list of shows right now i want i want to watch beef season two because i love beef season one i gen give season two a 10 out of 10 yeah that's true and then i want to watch the last dance oh yeah michael jordan you definitely should yeah those are my two those are the two two shows on my the last dance is the one is the documentary that feels the least meddled with where all the more recent documentaries they're not getting made unless you have the creator's approval unless you have the person's approval for the rights and all that shit and that means that they're going to be very you know distilled yeah polished you're going to have a version of the character that you're not going to see a whole lot of issues with uh it's it's you know one of the better tweets i saw recently was you know you can't make the michael jackson movie without the Michael Jackson music.

56:03And you don't get the music unless you have the rights and the permission of the Michael Jackson estate. Yeah. Meaning your movie's not going to really be all too controversial. And so one of the best tweets I read, it was like the Michael Jackson movie is like a movie about OJ Simpson, but it ended with him just winning the Heisman in college. And that's it. Oh yeah. Where it's like, they don't get into any really controversial stuff that happened in his life. and so The Last Dance still does a bit of that shockingly but it's largely like a documentary that was like approved by Michael Jordan yeah uh there was a super chat that I

56:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:was trying to find but I'm sorry I can't find it but somebody was asking if I um can tell you about oh it's from Kinetic$7 super chat from Kinetic thank you oh yeah can I tell I mean you gotta watch Invincible everybody should got everybody has to watch Invincible I just started The Boys is season five. Oh, cool. I finally started that and Invincible is next. Nice. Yeah. Dude, they're cooking right now. Yeah. I guess this season's done, but they cooked. It is already? Yeah. Shit. Right, Chad? Correct me if I'm wrong about that. Six episodes or what? That's short as hell. I want to say like eight.

57:13Okay, never mind.

57:14Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Maybe, I don't know. Story number four, report, Steel Rising Studio Spiders is shutting down just six weeks after the launch of Greedfall 2. This is from Wesley LeBlanc at Game Informer. Paris-based developer Spiders released its latest RPG, Greedfall 2, The Dying World, just six weeks ago, back in March, and it might be the studio's last game. That's because, according to a new report from French outlet Origami, Spiders will soon close its doors. Origami reports that sources say the studio will shut down after Spiders publisher, Nacon, was unable to find a buyer for the game maker following a filing for insolvency last month.

57:53Blessing Adeoye Jr.:The publication reports that the court-appointed administrator overseeing Nacon's restructuring will request Spider's liquidation before the commercial court tomorrow, a move its sources say is a mere formality at the stage, according to Google Translate's transcription of the article. Within the studio, developers have been updating resumes and holding, quote, self-study sessions in place of working on games, according to Origami. Really sad one, of course, follows up on what we talked about last month with Nacon filing for insolvency. Sad to see some of the results of that already taking place here.

58:27Quite the bummer. I think it also comes down to a franchise in a game that largely looks like it, you know, regressed in quality. You know, when we look at, you know, of course not everything is about OpenCritic and Metacritic, but on, you know, Greedfall 1 had a 74, you know, pretty decent for a first entry into a franchise. Greed Fall 2 went down to a 65. Or a 66, sorry. And I think if you don't capitalize on what the first game did well and try to make that a better version, I think largely this game not being as good quality and largely seeming to be worse, not great for your whole studio if that's what you're working on.

59:14And this day and age, you don't have three strikes. You don't have two strikes sometimes, you know, and that sometimes one stinker will kind of just end it for you. Andy, we just talked about a whole lot of big news, but I want something smaller. Say the tiniest news I need to know about. Where would I go? You'd go to our last story, the We News Channel, where we cover all the small news items you need to know about.

59:41Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Stories number five, six and seven, because me and Andy have been going long. We're all yappers. Talk movies. Yeah, and so some of these bigger stories are being converted into Wii News stories, starting with story number five. Resident Evil Requiem producer says players should try to beat the game next week to prepare for DLC. This sounds, though, like it's the, what was it? They called it a challenge? They called it a minigame. It sounds like it's the minigame that might come out in the next couple weeks. I don't even know what that means. What does minigame mean in context of Resident Evil universe?

1:00:11Like a horror mode. Okay. That's what I think of. You're just mowing down enemies and they keep coming at you. Boss rush, maybe? or something like that.

1:00:17Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh, that'd be fun. The quote here from Kumazawa says, this minigame... Oh, no, hold on. Let me rewind back. Let me rewind back. Regarding the additional story DLC, all I can say is that at this stage where it's currently in full production, so please look forward to it. That's from Nakanishi. However, development on the minigame is already in its final stages. When asked whether the minigame would be single player, he confirmed, that's right. As we've mentioned, it's a minigame and it's strictly based on the battles in the main game. So there you go. even though that doesn't explain what it is it just says it's based off the battles in the main game so maybe they're putting you into different scenarios you try to talk down the enemy please

1:00:59Blessing Adeoye Jr.:that said i think players who've cleared the main game and are thinking i still want to go wild we'll find these exciting and fun so please sharpen your tomahawks and stay tuned it sounds like you're gonna be playing as leon in that a lot of parry challenges and then they said it'll be they suggested that players try to beat the game during Japan's Golden Week holiday period, which is April 29th through May 6th. Golden Week? What does that mean? Golden Week is like a big holiday. You gotta play Persona. Ah, that's probably... You gotta get cultured. You'll learn so much about Japan. I'm like, you don't know Golden Week?

1:01:28You gotta learn about the world. Everybody knows how... You gotta play some Persona, bro.

1:01:33Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Story number six, more Wii news for you. But also, this one's kind of sad, but also kind of follows up on the story from yesterday about Assassin's Creed Hexy losing its lead. Assassin's Creed Hexy loses 50 developers as game targets a 2027 release. This is from Tom Henderson at Insider Gaming. They go on to talk about how approximately 50 developers working on Hexy have been taken off the project as the new Assassin's Creed leadership team makes changes. Those 50 developers have been moved from Hexy to Ubisoft's inter-project team, which is basically a team where they are figuring out what other projects to work on is essentially the whole idea of it.

1:02:15Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Members of the interproject team are required to secure a project at Ubisoft within a three-month period or they could face redundancy. Yeesh. Yeah. Man, do they ever got good news over there? Black Flag, you know? They're remaking their hit game from 2013. Oh, man. That's tough. Yeah. at the time of writing hexi is penciled for a june 2027 release but sources speculate that the recent division scale back by 50 devs is an attempt to stay under budget and potentially delay the game to holiday 2027 52 percent of people said that they uh bought dk bonanza and beat it in the audience okay hey that's what i said but also you guys are gamers and so that means that the real answer is 10 percent um getting into the proper we news here for you from IGN, The Blood of Dawnwalker has finally set its release date September 3rd, 2026.

1:03:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:That's across PC, PS5, and Xbox. I'm excited to see this one. Yeah? Yeah. From Witcher devs. Yeah, former Witcher devs. Making the vampire game. A little vampire game that's definitely not, you know, trying to be anything like The Witcher in terms of scale or anything like that. It's supposed to be a bit more smaller of a project, but I just like the concepts of, I love the concepts of like timed missions and stuff that you know if you don't save that yeah if you don't do that mission fast enough that that little boy with that poison or whatever you should play persona oh yeah you should learn a lot about Japan you learn a lot about Japan mine's eyes blacklisted update is out now if you don't remember this was the update where the the head of the studio was like we're gonna explain all of what happened all of the um I I think they called espionage, the corporate espionage that happened in real life at the studio.

1:03:55They're going to tell the story in this DLC and it's out right now. I want to play this. That, I mean, I'm sure it'll be of the highest quality with as fast of a turnover. As fast as they turned around, you know, a quick turnaround there.

1:04:11Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. I got so many questions about what I was going. Oh, you can see her sneaking around. Oh, cool. Do you think they're actually shooting guns in the real life version of this? With the mind's eye suit? Because I'm seeing a lot of guns here. I see a lot of like verbal abuse. Maybe, you know, threats of of threats of taking away your paycheck and stuff like that. I'm just thinking like what would have happened in the studio, you know, reprimand. Quite a few people are asking for the audible. You know, we should stream this. Greg said he was going to stream this. Unfortunately, and I'm not making this up.

1:04:44Greg is out of town today because when this popped in, we were like, shit, this is perfect. This is perfect. Like Greg really wanted to live stream this whenever they dropped this, but he's literally out of town. He's not here. So, you know, somebody play it and report back. I don't know. I want to know all about it. Jason Schreier should play so he can give us like the background of the. He can tell us what's real or not. He's like, the guns did happen. Actually, that was an AK. That wasn't an M16.

1:05:11Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Blizzard today debuted a music video for Reward the Scars, an original new song created by Korn. Oh, shit. The song released alongside the new Diablo 4 expansion, Lord of Hatred, is Korn's first new music in over four years. How much did Blizzard drop the bag for this? Oh, yeah. They must have dropped a bag. You gotta be, like, if you're somebody who was laid off recently, you're just like, what? How much do you think it costs for a new Korn song? It's crazy to look at anybody and say, you haven't released music in over four years. We want something for this. Yeah, but they're no baby king. you're right yeah like i mean what are they dropping baby corn two hundred thousand dollars for a new song i'm sticking a baby corn now like the little small ones oh man i love baby put them some stew i always think of the mitch headberg joke where he's like people say corn on the cob but corn's already on the cob it's like if you it's like if you call me mitch all together that's really good god um this comes from the final fantasy twitter account or blue sky no twitter um start your journey in final phases 7 rebirth today on switch 2 and xbox with a free demo available now carry your progress to the full game when it launches june 3rd 2026 cool ubisoft's mobile game the division resurgence is coming to pc whoa whoa now is is it out for mobile yeah really yeah that came out why doesn't greg talk about this non-stop on his phone you know he's playing he's playing his rock ally this is exciting that's cool though it's really cool because this is something i will try out on pc i wouldn't have tried it out on mobile but this is cool super cool and then finally playism game show is set for may 10th and that is it for wii news um let's shout out a couple of super chats as we're closing out the show here era man five says spiders is spiders closing is a shame greed fall is a seven out of ten but had a really cool parts or had a few really cool parts um yeah you always hate to like no matter what level of i guess critical reception your game receives always sucks to see a developer um possibly shut down like this i have a you're wrong here from a dork who says heck uh the assassin's creed game is pronounced hexa not hexi it's german for which really damn i didn't know that that's cool i just thought you know i thought i had to do what hex is or whatever but you know i always i know this isn't what it was but like because assassin's creed kind of has the digital element of being in the animus you thought it was hexagons no i I thought it was like, I thought you were mixing Hex and EXE.

1:07:43Oh, okay. Yeah. I see.

1:07:47Blessing Adeoye Jr.:What else? What else? What else? Chico 23 says, forced myself to beat Bonanza, traded it in for ZA after, as there was no reason to go back to Bonanza after completing. Trading ZA for Sorrows next. What do you mean there was no reason to go back to Bonanza after beating? I'm going to collect all the golden bananas. Dram with the Yurong says, event is a general term used throughout the Universal Pictures PDF. Okay, so they're all called events. Yeah. My bad. But no, I like where you're thinking, though. Because you have to get to Smash at some point. And there's also a lot of, like, info dumped here that could all be wrong.

1:08:25But this is from Fox of the Future, who lists a couple of sources. And these are just, like, leakers. But there's a lot of, like, movie stuff here that I don't know if I necessarily want to get into and that you're wrong.

1:08:36Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Riley21 says, who do you cast as a villain in Far Cry?

1:08:45man it's probably me jason stifel oh see oh who's the guy with i feel like it's a side character that you meet halfway through the season that helps you out i like that yeah because you needed what's this british guy doing here hey it's like whoa we're in south america Timothy Oliphant would be cool. Was he in? He's in... He's got good hair.

1:09:10Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Okay. I mean, good hair is a... Oh, yeah, he does look like he could be a Far Cry villain. Was he Hitman? 2007 Hitman? I think he was, yeah. He was. Yeah, you need somebody who has... Oh. I'm looking at chat because I'm trying to see what comes up. You need... Cranston would be fun. Man, I was just thinking about Bryan Cranston last night. Just give me a crime TV show with Cranston. I'm not telling you to remake Breaking Bad. Just put him in a pivotal, dramatic role with a fucking amazing writer. Do you know who I would love, actually? I'm not joking. Jason Bateman as a far cry. Oh, yeah. I could see that.

1:09:56Jason Bateman. because like if you watch um the bad christmas movie that came out like a year and a half ago half a year ago whatever the movie was right it was the um one it wasn't even a christmas movie but it came out during christmas where are we right now it was the one where he's in an airport and he's playing a terrorist essentially where uh oh yeah okay what's his face from the tetris movie plays a tsa agent and jason bateman's basically gets all the information on him. Trying to get a bomb into a plane. Trying to get a bomb into a plane and fuck shit up. Jason, when he wants to be scary, Bateman can be real scary.

1:10:32It's a Christmas movie, says Big Bad Beluga. Oh, shit. Okay. Was it a Christmas movie? Carry on. Carry on. There we go. Taron Egerton was the guy. Taron Egerton. He was a TSA agent, right? Yes. And he was in Tetris. He was really good in that.

1:10:48Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'll do one more super chat because we're having fun here. um jameson peter says obviously i'm anecdotal but i beat dk bananes and loved it especially at the end with the villain oh my god every single time i think about dk bananes is ending i get a little warm inside i get excited i'm like video games are cool video games are really they can be cool yeah you know what else is cool games cast what's happening right after this screencast screencast that's good because i was like what the fuck is the gamescast screencast which is happening right after this um did you already knock out the your wrongs that we needed to yeah yeah sick so that was kind of funny.com slash you're wrong and that was your super chats and that was your episode of kind of funny games daily if you love what we do support us with the kind of funny membership on patreon or youtube to get all of our shows ad free and get a daily exclusive show enjoy the screencast next and everything after but oh and that includes game showdown oh yes screencast then you got game showdown then you got a stream but until next time game daily you can't reason with the sun trust us we've tried this summer it's time to put that angry ball of fire on mute columbia's omni-shade technology is engineered to protect you from the sun's harsh rays that can burn and damage your skin the sun is relentless but so is our gear Level up your summer at Columbia.com to spend more time outside and less time slathering on aloe lotion.
