In short

Kinda Funny Games Daily episode focused on “spooky Xbox news.” Main stories: Microsoft pressuring Xbox to hit unusually high “accountability margins” (about 30%); Xbox president Sarah Bond arguing exclusives are antiquated because major games are available everywhere; and a Kirby Air Riders Direct roundup (story mode, returning top-down mode, stadium mode, versus boss feature, amiibo, and demo dates).

Guest backgrounds

Hosts are Greg Miller and Bless (Eddie Oye Jr.). No additional guests are introduced in the transcript.

Key claims

  1. Bloomberg reporting (Jason Schreier/Dina Bass): Xbox gaming division is being pushed to far above industry profit margins; Xbox responded by canceling projects, raising prices, and cutting thousands of jobs.
  2. Sarah Bond (Mashable/GameSpot): exclusives are “antiquated” since community forms around cross-platform games (cites Call of Duty, Minecraft, Fortnite, Roblox) and stresses play “anywhere” (mentions ROG Ally X, cloud, PC, consoles).
  3. Kirby Air Riders Direct: Sakurai confirmed multiple modes and extensive customization; amiibo lineup expanded.

Notable examples

Canceled Xbox projects include Everwild, Perfect Dark, and Project Blackbird; Halo Infinite cited as a recent blockbuster attempt; Kirby Air Riders modes include stadium and versus boss; demos start Nov 8, launch Nov 20.

I'm one of your hosts, Greg Miller, alongside Forbes 30 Under 30, a.k.a. New York Game Awards nominated, a.k.a. Leftover Poppy Blessing Eddie Oye Jr. I'm not realizing. I just noticed you were in the X-Cats sweater.

3:11Oh, yeah.

3:11Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I mean, this is kind of week we're having. I'm realizing how appropriate the Halloween intro for KHD is this week because it's just been spooky Xbox news. spooky xbox yeah yeah we were uh having quite the time here looking at the live chats reacting to the fourth fourth headline of bad xbox news in a row yeah it's like it's it's the it's the tough thing where earlier in the week we had some slower news days and so it's like okay well sarah bond says a thing that just ends up being story number one because it's the biggest thing it's the biggest thing to talk about here we have one that is legitimately like oh shit all right fuck this is really a story number one like i was on roger i was like today's the day of there's three different story number ones today it's a big news day i love that but somehow xbox has two out of the three i love that and they're really good ones to talk about we'll do that in a second for now bless how are you i'm doing good how are you doing good you have a good night what'd you get into what happened what did i do i streamed some hades 2 last night i just love that um and i think that was i watched gen v i had a very boring night last night okay it was just me playing games working on outer worlds 2 yeah we can say that now yeah i'm playing outer worlds 2 i i'm sad because I didn't finish it.

4:16Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's always a bummer when you get to the review and you didn't run.

4:19Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah, and I've been on a roll. You know what I mean? Like, we did like three, four, three, four different reviews where I was able to kind of... Ninja Gaiden, Dispatch, Outer Worlds Keeper. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I feel like there was one more. Maybe it was just... It's review season. Yeah, it's review season. But yeah, I've been like keeping up with it pretty well. And then, yeah, Outer Worlds 2 was the one that broke me. I got you covered. We're going to have a good conversation about it. I got lots to say And I rolled credits, so don't worry about that. That is the Gamescast today. Similarly, yeah, last night I played Morata Worlds 2, got some screenshots ready for stuff we're talking about here, got some notes together since it's such a big game.

4:48But most importantly, the thing I want to tell you, and the thing I want to tell you, and this is, they have sponsored us in the past, they're not sponsoring right now, so don't worry about it. NVIDIA GeForce now. I've been talking about this a lot. Me and Andy did a stream. I am not even a convert. I'm already a believer. I use it. I was using it on my ROG Ally period, let alone now my Xbox ROG Ally, right? Used it on my Mac. I've used it on the computer. Like I've used it right yesterday on PSI or yesterday on our games cast. That was a spiritual successor to PS. I love you. XOXO. We had a long talk about convenience and where we're at and et cetera, et cetera.

5:24And I opened up NVIDIA GeForce now during it. Right. And it was like, oh man, vampire, the masquerade bloodlines two is here. And I rather play it with the, so I'm going to, I am going to re-pick up the PC save rather than the PlayStation save. yeah yeah i was closing down outer worlds last night i'm like all right i'm ready for this review i'm also tired but i'm like you know what real quick i want to get nvidia geforce now running on the tv i've heard about this i haven't done it i you know i go there my lg's like do you have an lg account i'm like i think so it's like you don't like whatever i finally i get all that done get nvidia geforce in then i'm like how do you see i had a google how do you sync a bluetooth controller to the LG TVs.

6:03They gave me the breakdown. I went and did super simple. I could have figured it out, but I was too tired. I want to go to bed. Sinked the controller. I'm like, well, now I just got to try it. And I booted up Vampire, the Masquerade, Bloodlines 2. This is not a promotion for that game, which I'm very excited to eventually talk about when I play more. But holy fucking shit, it actually worked. Oh, yeah. I know it works on the handheld. I know it works on the PCs and the computers. On my weird, not my weird, but a TV, no processing power or whatever, is this actually i went in there and i was like oh man kind of looks not shadowy and janky and i was like oh wait it's running off my steam deck settings because that's what i go in and i'm like auto detect it just goes ultra ultra ultra ultra ultra everything's ultra and i came back

6:43Blessing Adeoye Jr.:and i was like holy fuck yeah i think this is insane i mentioned it i believe on gamescast yesterday that i'm just not a cloud streaming person this is not the way that i like to play video games nvidia geforce now is the one where i'm like okay this is the best experience i had out of all of them and i've only used it a little bit i'm not like dove and diving deep into the and dove in deep into the nvidia geforce uh now world yet yeah but so far the times that i've turned it on i've been pretty impressed by how i use it on my steam deck and i'm like oh shit all right this is actually a better way for if a game doesn't run the way i want it to on my steam deck this will actually get it to run better yeah i mean not run better but you get what i mean like i'm right exactly exactly that's the conversation if you missed gamescast yesterday about vampire where it's like i couldn't get to run on my actual laptop because of whatever weird settings wrong and so I was like okay I'll play it on the Rog and then I was like it doesn't look that hot so that's when I went back to PlayStation but now that I can just do the Nvidia thing I'm just going to do that so I can play it on the couch and be a goof oh yeah look at you step into the future you're a different kind of gamer now I've been living there man I've been living in the future a long time just like when I called out that Pokemon tail stuff remember that?

7:47I told Ben about how impressed you were yeah I was super impressed he's a different gamer but enough about me it's time to talk about the nerdy news you need to know about because this is Kind of Funny Games Daily each and every weekday on a variety of platforms. 8:24That's four hours of exclusive podcasting each and every month on top of all that you get good karma for supporting a small independent business of 11 people trying to make it work in a crazy media landscape you'd go on santa's nice list the amount of times i try to i i try to text nick and i start texting nick scarpino from portillos and not because i put nick into santa so i can threaten ben with santa it's a whole thing you're

8:48Blessing Adeoye Jr.:texting the nick scarpinos from portillos being like yo well ben needs a christmas like gift or something like that? No, no, the opposite. Oh, I did it recently where Roger, Mike and Nick went to Starbucks and I texted all three of them on the chain. I'm like, Hey, pick me up a thing. And Nick Scarpino from Chicago, Illinois, who was actually the CEO of Giordano's. And I was like, Hey, wrong Nick. And I'm like, sorry, Nick. What a career. I know. Insane, right? Of course, if you have no bucks toss away, no big deal. Like, subscribe, share, ring the bell, tell your friends. And of course, if you have Amazon Prime, you have Twitch Prime, a free subscription to give away each and every 30 days.

9:19Why not give it to us? Even if you're one of those fabulous ups drivers listening while you work of course if you want to be part of the show live as we go youtube.com slash kind of funny games with your super chats just like toast did who says day four of xbox headlines huh lol

9:37Blessing Adeoye Jr.:listen you know we report the news that's the news one man's trash is another man's trend exactly exactly and listen y 'all love clicking on the xbox headlines apparently i mean that's what the news is i mean it's the news like i want to be clear it's not like we're manufacturing this shit You know what I mean? It's not me digging into like, all right, what Xbox shit can we talk about today? They're handing it to us on a silver platter. Sarah Bond keeps talking. I hope they do something good tonight so that tomorrow's can be a positive Xbox. I'd line to end the week. I digress, of course. We're going to have a still-spent-serie birthday party.

10:07So number one. Housekeeping for you, of course. This Friday, Mike and Roger, two best friends will be locked in a room and attempt to complete Silent Hill F while sharing a controller while also being handcuffed. Will they rise to the task or will they break? The longer you support, the longer they'll play. Come support the madness this Friday. That's tomorrow exclusively on Twitch right after game showdown. Of course, while we're here, I'm just going to toss this in tomorrow is a interesting day because of that stream. It starts today. There is no gameplay stream this afternoon. Cause we need to get everything ready for the Roger and Mike insanity.

10:39Then tomorrow you get kind of funny games showdown, or I'm sorry, kind of funny games daily followed by kind of funny game showdown, then into the stream. And then while the stream is live, a very special games cast will post. of course today we are all about live programming like i said right after this is the games cast the outer worlds to review i talked about it just at the top of greg way i am ready so ready so excited i am just the the cork is in me and i'm ready for andy to remove the cork wow and let me blow all over his face i can't wait to talk about this because i need you already gave your preview

11:11Blessing Adeoye Jr.:on the social thing very top level and very i think what i and i'll spoil mine a little bit because there's so much to talk about. So like, I don't think our like, you know, top level impressions are going to be the main thing. Right. I need you to show me like the good shit or like, I need you to, I guess, help me understand more. Yeah. Cause I'm halfway through this game. I'm 17 hours in and I'm not having a bad time by any means, but I'm also not like, I got, I'm not all the way. I got you. I mean, I don't, for the record, it's not a 10 out of 10. So I'm not like coming out with that flag, but I got things to say to me.

11:40Oh, cool. Yeah. So then after that, it's going to be after games cast is Pixar's Elio in review? I don't know actually. I never watched this one. No, nobody did. That's the problem. I'm sure this interview is going to do traffic. You don't want to waste everybody's time. Why aren't we just reviewing more superhero movies?

11:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:We cancel in review. We start up an Xbox show. There's always going to be a fuck thing to talk about. If you're a Kinda Funny member, today's Greg Away is 21 minutes on if I think we'll ever sell Kinda Funny. Thank you to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster, Delaney, The Psalm, Twining. That's great out of context. Here's your employee here in the middle of a show. Oh, okay. Start packing your bags. That seems like a heavy conversation. Or make me an offer. Of course, let's begin with what is and forever will be the Roper Report.

12:30Time for some news. Six items on the Roper Report.

12:37Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh, Baker's Dazza! number one microsoft pushes xbox division to hit higher profit margins this is jason schreier and dina base over at bloomberg microsoft is asking its xbox gaming division to produce profit margins that are well above the industry average ratcheting up pressure on its video game maker during a difficult time in the field at large over the past two years executives at the seattle-based software giant have set across the board goals of 30 % quote accountability margins, a term Microsoft uses in lieu of profit margins, according to people familiar with the business. The gaming division, which includes dozens of studios, has responded by canceling products, raising prices, and slashing thousands of jobs, said the people who asked not to be identified discussing non-public information.

13:27The average profit margin in the video game industry in recent years has ranged between 17 % and 22%, according to estimates from S &P Global Market Intelligence, while coming in between 10 % and 20 % over the past six years at Xbox. Court documents from 2023 revealed that Microsoft's gaming business had a 12 % profit margin for the first nine months of the company's 2022 fiscal year. The new goal, which hasn't been previously reported, is at the outer range of what a gaming studio can typically reach in a boom year, said neil barbor an analyst with s &p global quote a 30 or better margin is usually reserved for a publisher that is really nailing it he said in the past game makers at xbox weren't asked to hit specific numerical targets said the people and were largely told to focus on making the best games possible without worrying too much about finances the new target was implemented in fall 2023 by microsoft chief financial officer amy hood whose team has taken a larger role in the gaming business in recent years fall 2023 what was going on fall 2023 nothing no no you know nobody's buying nothing there's no lawsuits that's interesting timing no that's weird uh the change has impacted strategies under microsoft gaming chief phil spencer as the division has looked for new ways to cut costs and boost profits in 2024 xbox announced it would begin releasing the majority of its games on consoles from rivals nintendo co and sony group core for the first time earlier this year xbox decided to cancel a number of costly projects including ever wild perfect dark and project blackbird all of which had been in development for more than seven years not every project is expected to hit the 30 profit threshold said the people but many xbox developers and groups have been presented with a new target moving forward games that are either cheap to make or deemed more likely to generate significant revenue windfalls may take priority over riskier bets, said the people, while Xbox's floundering hardware division may face a significant rethinking.

15:28Xbox's best hope for a blockbuster game in recent years was 2021's Halo Infinite, the latest entry in its most vital franchise. Despite some early accolades, the game was ultimately seen as a failure and led to a complete overhaul of the studio behind it. Later this week, Microsoft will announce a new Halo release in an attempt to resuscitate the franchise.

15:48Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Is that last part like a scoop or is that something that we know? Is that something that was like announced? I do believe that's a scoop. That's crazy. Right. I think there had been rumors. Chat, let me know. Well, we speculated about this, I want to say a week or two ago, because there's the Halo. It's been rumored. Chat, what's the thing that's happening? I think tomorrow, the championship thing where they, the Halo studio said, stay tuned. We have news essentially. But that's what I remember it as. But chat here is acting like it's not that big of a deal. they're just all saying it's rumors rumors okay so yeah jason schreier thank you halo halo world championships yeah that's happening this weekend and so when he says later this week announcement there okay cool where do we start with this i feel like i mean where we start is by dropping the fucking banner of course that we were right this is what we've been saying for fucking ever of everything's great until microsoft says what the fuck is going on why are you not making money then there's the other part that we come back to which speaks a little bit to my greg way of like would we ever sell kind of funny right where it's like the fucking god damn shareholders they can't be healthy with healthy happy with 12 profit it's double digit profit just shut up and let them make games and you see what you've lost right as you read through the story and you get to the thing of like previously this hadn't been a thing they were just told to make good games what a fucking nice time that was oh yeah what a great thing it was when people entered into a space and we're like we know this is not going to make 50 profit let's just make cool shit and get an audience so we're talking about playstation not having necessarily an audience audience like it used to back in the ps3 days you talk about fucking xbox in the same boat of like what is their identity with their crew and stuff like that and then you get here and it's like wow what a shock that fucking corporate overlords fucked this whole thing up and again maybe it wouldn't have been success whatever but we're talking to the fact of like you go through and read all this and we've seen basically schizophrenia from fucking Microsoft where they can't make up their mind on what they're going to do and why not because somebody's fucking yanking the reins of them every goddamn second it's Microsoft the corporation right it's Phil Spencer wanted to do a certain thing for a number of years Satya Nadella looking at it and being like what the fuck Amy Hood the CFO looking at it being like no we need 30 % not even profit margins accountability margins right we need a margin so big it's not profit margins accountability we don't want to make we want to make sure that we're doing so well that like 30 is the thing when most of the games there's a there's a phrase from fucking the outer worlds too i want to throw out here right but i won't because i don't want to spoil stuff and one thing that uh we've talked about before not even related to this but just in video games in general or is when big companies come into the gaming ecosystem thinking that oh making video games it's gonna be easy if you want to make a game console or game platform we can do it amazon we can do it google we can make stadia make it happen all that shit's so fucking easy yeah it's wild to see that microsoft a company that's been in the video games business since the top of the the century century millennium century since 2000 uh a company that's been around so long doing this shit is seemingly stepping on the same rigs as i would expect in amazon or google or anybody else who might not understand what they're doing here problem with i saw it go through but it's true just fucking corporate greed that nothing is good enough for these fucking ships they don't care nobody cares about what the product they're making they care about the profit margin and i know that we're so far out of the station on this and i know the entire world is fucked and i know there's way better examples of how horrible thing but it's just like you look at this erosion where again it's what we've been saying on this show forever of like i do believe in phil spencer having a good head on his shoulders and a good vision for it but when it's fucking the corporate overlord stepping on your shoulders yeah and being like this and we're gonna get to sarah bond's thing and it's like okay cool do you believe that sarah bond or is that what you're saying because of the pivots you've had to make to get to this point can i bring in story number two i'd love you to bring in story number two so story number two is exclusive games are antiquated xbox president says this is another sarah bond quote from the stream of sarah bond quotes we'll be getting this week this one also from mashable which the one yesterday was also from mashable so it's all doing god's work out there congratulations this is from eddie at game spot the idea of exclusive games in 2025 is antiquated according to xbox president sarah bond she said in a new interview that people are beginning to evolve way past the idea that a game should be exclusive to one store or device.

20:10Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Quote, The biggest games in the world are available everywhere. You look at Call of Duty, you look at Minecraft, you look at Fortnite, you look at Roblox. That's actually what's really driving community and gaming. That's where people gather. And the idea of locking it to one store or one device is antiquated for most people, she told Mashable. Quote, You want to be able to play with your friends anywhere, regardless of what they're on. And we're really leaning into that with this experience with the ROG Ally X. It just opens up another way for you to play, as does Cloud, as does PC, as do the consoles we all have in the living room, she added.

20:43Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Wider context, I imagine that all these Sarah Bond quotes are coming from the ROG X. We did an interview with you about the ROG. Yeah, it was from Mashable. I think Variety was one of the other ones. They're just sending Sarah Bond around to talk to people about the ROG, and we're getting all these headlines from that, essentially. Go for it, go for it. What I'd like to call out here, real quick, before we all rise up with Pitchforks in torches yeah is that the headline not clickbaity but very like oh man fuck playstation and then you read the quote like oh well she's making a point here of like these kind of games call of duty minecraft you know what I mean like she's not saying okay okay but it's like that's gonna be lost in the wider range of it oh sure that's funny I wasn't even thinking about like the playstation nintendo actually even xbox get being done with exclusive yeah yeah i think i feel like the way she's presenting it is going to be applied to yeah keeper and halo and everything but it's like i don't know if exactly that's what she was talking about but i mean it is exclusives it is and they have moved away from it so whatever yeah i think even more so though like on all platforms to the question of like the context of exclusives being antiquated i think they're antiquated for xbox right because you need to make 30 profit mario whatever the fuck you're calling them, accountability margins.

21:59Blessing Adeoye Jr.:We're calling them profit margins. We're calling them profit margins. You need to make 30 % profit margins. So fuck yeah, these things are going to be antiquated for you because you can't do that on your own platform. You have to put these games on PlayStation. You gotta put them on it. I know you've been putting them on PC, right? But you gotta put them anywhere where they might find that because you're in a place where you're having to fucking... Nickel and diamonds isn't the right word, but I guess like I guess look at your catalog and be like, fuck, alright, what even has the ability to do what they're asking for us from microsoft cancel perfect dark because we're pouring money into that because we're looking at that as being the next quadruple a thing and that's just not a good bet for us right now cancel ever wild because that's been in develop in development and focus on these smaller games and put them everywhere because we're just trying to do whatever we can to in order to get there in order to get as much money as possible which is business i'm not like mad at that from the xbox side i think i'm more so frustrated from the schizophrenia that you talk about between xbox and microsoft and how it feels like people have different visions for what they want to do with this thing now resulting in a bunch of games getting canceled and a bunch of studios being closed and a bunch of like what feels like just pure chaos from this yeah you summed it up pretty well of just where we're at with this and what's going on and it's like it's such a different set of circumstances but it's gonna be or could be the same folly as Xbox One where when Xbox One came TV, TV, TV, Call of Duty, Call of Duty connecting the box and always online everybody's like we fucking hate this, fuck you and they're like oh sorry we'll change it oh so you have no vision for what you're doing and so here we are where it's like Xbox is saying these things but it's so hard to get people behind that message when they see things changing when they hear this like okay cool so like Everwild was that not a good game or was it just not it's cancelled because it's spent so much money like Perfect Dark okay but was it off track or was it this and that or was it just this 30 % thing where it is you gotta make these hard choices to do that just to get like you dump these studios and immediately the line goes up and that's what you need I mean I'm taking that just from the article right oh no I'm not questioning you as much as like questioning where we're going with this and what we're pulling from it.

24:17Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I guess what I've been wondering is, what does this mean as far as the future of software development at Xbox, right? Do we consider, do we, because I think this year has actually been a... Great year. I mean, I was going to say a good example of the small game thing, right? Because I've had this feeling with Xbox this year. Not that, like, I would never say this year is a bad year for Xbox software. No. But also, I'm not looking at any of these games as like a, oh, damn, this is a... System seller. System seller. Which isn't what we're talking about anymore, but yeah. This is a contender. Like, Keeper, for me, is like a personal contender, but I don't think that's going to be nominated for game of the year at the game awards, but I love that game.

24:48Blessing Adeoye Jr.:But I think that speaks to the type of games that they're making. It is the keepers. It is the South of Midnights. It is, I mean, even publishing a Ninja Gaiden four that's coming out, right? Like out of worlds too, we're going to talk about, that's another one. That's like, that's not the biggest game, but that's something that's going to feed that sect of the audience. I think this year has been sort of an example of maybe what the Xbox ethos evolves into because of this and what the article is kind of talking about as far as focusing in on things that might not have, have as high of a budget and be able to kind of meet that margin because we're able to come in at a lower cost for it.

25:21Blessing Adeoye Jr.:What does that do for the games that were expected? Like, are you able to make a halo? That is, that's where I think you jump into and I'm trying to find the quote, but there's so many great reporting from Jason and Dina here. And of course there's more to read on Bloomberg. I read the whole thing this morning, brushing my teeth. I know in here somewhere they're talking about basically going for big games that will have big returns or smaller experiences that'll do the thing. Right. Let me tell you how that's going to net out, right it's going to net out with double fine closing and then going away from these smaller experiences period straight up like this is not when you go into this situation they are saying through this messaging with you know not code this is you know being people talking off the record or whatever you know on background you're having this conversation and when you read between the lines it's everything we've heard from everybody else of like we're going to go to these tentpole things we are going what was it from the one we're going to um not abuse these known IPs but yeah Lord of the Rings we're gonna exploit Lord of the Rings we're gonna exploit this known IP right so it's the whole idea here is imagine I would imagine that right now the idea goes okay cool stop make a small thing you can get out really quickly and I don't know if that means like something like about to if we're gonna you know what I mean if we're gonna go that way I don't know how that did or like South of Midnight Ground like to yeah like those games like that are like not the hey this is a system seller even though that doesn't exist anymore I don't think and then also then yeah Gears Halo Call of Duty Fallout like I think that's where you are all of a sudden where it's like if you aren't those brands you are fucked I would imagine and maybe I'm immediately crying too much not counting Call of Duty because I don't know Call of Duty because Call of Duty is like the best selling thing ever do those brains that we're talking about hit the 30 % margin that we're talking about like we're talking next year Fallout yeah next year you think Fallout does yeah especially I mean right now by the way they are doing the fallout day live stream we're hoping after the break to have a report on that and tell you what exactly is being i've seen stuff go through apparently there's a new vegas 15 year edition or 15th anniversary edition updates to 76 the stuff you'd imagine or whatever i think yeah especially with the show yeah and i think that's when you would lean into let's exploit fallout bethesda we're glad you're here we're glad you're working on the next elder scrolls we're glad you're working on fallout 6 while you do that obsidian you are done with your stuff you are now making new vegas 2 yeah go make a new vegas 2 and get it quick right like i feel like that's where you turn and you go okay let's turn and burn and that's both good for us who want these kind of rpgs but then maybe bad in terms of what they'd be but you know i mean jumping off the like it could be good it could be bad it could be whatever who the fuck knows what's going on it's just this idea of like i think i get scared if you aren't those big things if i'm compulsion i'm scared if i'm double fine I'm scared.

28:02Blessing Adeoye Jr.:What's interesting is I get the reverse. I'm scared if you are the big things, because I think the big things need to be the biggest things now. Like I obviously profit margins is a hard thing to kind of speculate on because a lot of video game budgets are kept secret. And so like to look at that versus profit, a lot of us, we just don't know. But like I look at next year, next year, I think for Xbox is the antithesis to this year where this year I'm talking about the South Midnights and all that stuff, right? Next year, they're talking about fable gears. They're talking about Forza in Tokyo. They're talking about Halo.

28:30Blessing Adeoye Jr.:that's announced this weekend, right? And ends up being next year. Those are the big dogs from Xbox. How many of those big dogs are going to hit the profit margins that they're talking about here? I think even a Fallout, like I wonder if that's hitting that profit margin. Mainly because Fallout's so expensive to make. Like when you end up being that expensive to make, does Xbox look at that under these new things? I think you get to, for a Fallout, I think you hit the profit margin, especially on the heels of the show, where you have this audience now that's more than ever excited about fallout and i think you look at it that way too where it's a transmedia property like it's it's not just the game we're worried about anymore i think we'll see i just worry about like i look at a keeper and like like keeper is now that we're closed with the outer worlds 2 i have like a choose your own adventure for i think a week and a half before the next review comes in and it's like what do i want to try to invest my time in and you guys talking the way you talked about keepers pushed it way up my list of i have to get DB.

29:29No, well, yeah, but it was maybe it was one of the newsletters I subscribed to yesterday talking about oh, the wishlist thing you put out is that in here? The new thing? Oh, yes, that's a wee news. The intro to that paragraph that article was talking about like, hey like there's this new thing from Steam that's a calendar to make your wishlist more manageable and it was like but the lead in was like, hey, Keeper came out and it seems like nobody fucking knows about it based on DB numbers and it's like you hear that and you think about it and that's where I'm like, I can't imagine that game's making 30 %

29:59Blessing Adeoye Jr.:accountability margins that's the thing that's the thing like i think that's almost a separate conversation of just double fine and it's the same conversation that we have about media molecule on the playstation side of yes double fine isn't a studio you own because you want them to make you money like you own that studio because you're like make art like go and do do your thing be free i think if i my wish for double fine would be for them to go independent and like find something there but here's my point you just nailed it this is a studio you buy that you don't expect to make money and that's why they bought it on june 9th 2019 yeah 2019 four years before apparently microsoft's like yo stop fucking around and so i think again phil and that team bought this studio when they were we are going to be xbox and we are going to use our double digit profits to fund amazing games and have this awesome lineup for game pass and this is the future and we're going to outdo Sony at having these first party studios.

30:57Yeah. And I think Microsoft looked at them and let them buy fucking Activision and is like, cool, you have the golden goose now. Fuck all these other ducklings. I don't care about them.

31:06Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah, I think the thing that gives me a bit of faith into the protection of Double Fine is just the fact that I don't think obviously, again, we don't know budgets. I don't get the vibe that Keeper cost an arm and a leg to make. Very true. That's a six hour game that I played, right? Like it is mechanically, it's not really doing that much, right? There's no voice acting in it. Me and Mike got to go to Double Fine, the studio. And they have really cool shit in there, but it's not like a... I've been to studios that are way fan. Double Fine I don't think is... I think they can kind of swim under the radar is what I'm saying.

31:37My concern with it all is that when you start cutting like this, and okay, we cancel Perfect Dark and Everwild, etc. to get closer to 30%, we're making the things, we're making the hardware more expensive, whatever. That's all well and good what about next time next year when fable does underperform or gears does underperform or you know what i mean and it's like all right cool make cuts again and then it's like well fuck all right well i mean like clearly i you know we know like this is me prognosticating in a horrible fucking future i hate but like to sit there and be like well i know double fine is never going to make a game that double that gets 30 and i know that not every game needs to but stick with me for the argument but i so but but like i'm to the point of it's like them and it's compulsion versus bethesda which does have the you have to wait and you have to do this but if we exploit the ip and give it to other studios like i know they can do it but i feel like that's when you're like you start cutting i don't i just don't think it's between those right i think i hope not i hope

32:35Blessing Adeoye Jr.:no like xbox owns so many studios now that like i if we look at a list and this is gonna be a terrible list to do so i never want to do this right but like who we sense to death i could if I needed to close studios. I feel like you could probably make a list of like, I was going to say Call of Duty support studios, but I guess not even those, right? Because it is such a balancing act of who's doing what and what is like, where can you cut costs in ways that people won't notice? Double Fine, I think, has the thing of, cool, they put out Keeper. So many people don't know that Keeper even exists, but also they can give you another Psychonauts 3, and that's something that's in the game of the year conversations and something that I'm sure will sell fine and might not hit that 30%, but I also don't think it will cost as much as a fable or Forza or any of that other shit that Microsoft even cares that much.

33:22Yeah.

33:22Blessing Adeoye Jr.:But also this is, this is me speaking out my ass, bringing us some super chats before we transition to some other part of the show, uh, motor world hype, uh, super chats that says blessing is cooking right now. I've been under similar mandates and it is not great to say the least. I'm concerned about the effect the Xbox situation will have on the games industry as a whole. Uh, programmer Sid says Microsoft reported over$100 billion, in the last fiscal year, and somehow that's not good enough. Oh, man. Bing, bing, bing. Yeah. Foxy Steve says, this feels like Microsoft's setting margins purposely high as a scapegoat to lay off workers in closed studios.

33:58I mean, bing, bing, bing. Yeah, exactly, right? All this corporate maneuvering bullshit. Again, to explain it to your shareholders. Here's why we laid all these people. They weren't making the accountability margin. You don't have to bring up that it's 30%. You don't have to bring up that the industry standard is way lower than that.

34:14Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. in a good time especially on xbox like damn like xbox isn't even making that the the like average there right of what we're talking about like what 17 to 23 like xbox i guess in 2023 here that they meant that they referenced they're coming in between 10 and 20 yeah and now the number is 30 yeah toast says thank you for the keeper spoilers i had no plans to play that game before the spoiler cast it's been a great experience oh nice if you play keeper this weekend remember of course the second half of The Keeper review is a spoiler cast where I left because I haven't played it yet. And the gentlemen all ran through what they did.

34:49I like that a lot. Guitar Hero Arrow says, with each passing day, the Activision buyout makes the Xbox One design and reveal look even more like a genius move by comparison.

34:59Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I want to bring in one from Mango Syndrome. Please do. Most journals hyped the Activision buyout. Now this. I don't. I guess maybe I'm reading different journals than you are, but I don't recall. I guess from the at least on the journalist side of the games media stuff people hyping up the Activision buyout yeah I guess I remember people having discussions on like if there's pros maybe the pro is Bobby Kotick getting out of here but yeah I don't know I feel like people make shit up in regards to that shit I mean we talked about it for so fucking long and I don't know who you're reading I don't know if you're considering us or whatever like not that I'm saying nobody's doing it because I definitely saw people on Twitter doing it but I don't think I saw games journalists doing that.

35:45There's so many. There's a lot of birthday taxes. We'll get to those later. This is Fallen stuff. We'll end on here. Onimus Prime says, as an Xbox fan, it bums me out how Microsoft messed this up. Since 2015, Xbox has been putting themselves in a space to compete with PlayStation again, delivering exclusives. That changed after Activision Blizzard King. Exclusives matter. We shall see. We shall see. Play Outer Worlds on your PlayStation. this week when it comes out there was one that IGN had an attitude of just get this done which we definitely had by the end of it

36:19Blessing Adeoye Jr.:yeah I think there was that tiredness people are also referencing things that aren't journals I guess people are talking about you're talking specifically about a Rebecca Valentine and Jason Schreier yeah I'm talking about like people who know what they're talking about type shit you know what I mean I'm talking about people who are like actually like I guess in the know of the industry I don't think we're hyping it up that much I think if you're just talking about YouTubers and you're talking about yeah people just talking on TikTok top idiots like us whatever the x cast was i forget the breakdown if people were i mean i've i remember there being a lot of i remember hey we like phil spencer but this in xbox but this could be bad but it could be good we don't know i i remember my stance being corporate consolidation is very scary and i don't think i like this and that's and and i think that's a whole different thing right of like who you go to to hear what opinions but if you just talk about the internet yeah the internet's gonna hype shit up because the internet's stupid okay people are calling out podcast unlocked was for it.

37:08I never listened. So I don't know. Yeah. Again, this is, we're not saying this didn't happen. We're just saying Mike and chat. Still Mike. Mike was how do you feel now? Mike? Happy retirement. Kirby Air Riders Roundup. We're going to go from Josh Coulson over at The Gamer. Kirby Air Riders Direct includes first looks at story mode, even more amiibo come on we were all like what else could they say for an hour road trip was just one of the new details about kirby air riders that sakurai managed to fill an hour with the veteran game developer also confirmed the return of top ride top ride is a top down mode that was part of the original kirby air ride and it is now confirmed to be coming back in the sequel air riders will also have a stadium mode the most exciting part of which will be his versus boss feature saddle up your cart sorry sakurai machine uh and take on one giant robot version of king robo dead today doesn't need a machine he can transform into a giant car after which he will proceed to blast poor little kirby with a giant laser yes day-to-day is a decepticon now i'm starting to think this game might have everything i should proofread this a bit more i could i could have pared that down and i'm still not done towards the end of today's direct sakurai took us on a deep dive into the upcoming games cosmetics its machines have a lot of customization options so that they can you can make them your own as do the characters themselves i was skeptical when a section titled headwear began but as soon as sakurai gave waddle d a top knot i had to stop myself from closing the stream and heading directly to our kirby air riders pre-order guide kirby and waddle uh amiibo were revealed as part of the initial air riders direct and three more characters were confirmed to be joining them during this one metanite king day today and chief kawasaki uh will all be getting amiibo with matching machines and all the riders can be removed from machines and placed into different ones it's going to cost you if you want all five though the direct close to reveal that demos for air riders uh demos for air riders will be running starting november 8th ahead of the game's full launch on november 20th here's the thing greg

43:33Blessing Adeoye Jr.:you know i'll stand by the fact that when it comes to the xbox acquisition i don't remember being in strong support of it yeah what i do remember though is saying that this game doesn't need to cost 70 what do you feel now though look at all these amiibos i've not watched the full direct but i've seen so much stuff come out of it where i'm like shit maybe this shit deserves

43:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:because apparently this shit has a story mode has so many different things you got modes how many modes you want we got them we got the modes on you i i want to read this next one from sakurai because this is less about the details of the direct and more so about one of his quotes coming out of it, essentially saying that like Kirby Air Riders after this is done. This is from Chris Skolian at Video Games Chronicle. While concluding an hour long Kirby Air Riders Direct, which broke down the game in great detail, Sakurai explained that its existence was made possible because fans wanted to see it happen and that the resulting game is the completed work.

44:31Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Quote, in this day and age, creating a game and bringing it to life takes a surprising amount of effort, he said. but i think that's reflected in the final product so i hope you enjoy it i do believe the passionate support from fans was a big reason why this game was made you have to spend time and money to make games so those wishes aren't always granted knowing that i'm grateful both for the support shown to the previous game and that thanks to that support and the efforts of a great many people we were able to make this game a reality he then added quote just so you know we're not planning any dlc everything is here also i'm not planning on making this an ongoing series i've thrown everything I have into this game from the start so I hope you don't miss this opportunity end quote.

45:10Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Good for him. I like all that. Is this going to sell? You know what? I think it'll do what it needs to. I mean it's not going to be in the list of top 15 best selling Switch 2 games that you can't nerd out about but I think they know that and also I think they know the power of Nintendo IP especially when you get into Sakurai. Like I know I know mainstream doesn't understand Yeah but we do We do And I also think that Sakurai is so Like passionate about Making his games like a All encompassing I'm gonna throw everything I have I think that'll shine through I think that'll actually reach people The$70 I think is gonna be the biggest hurdle For this game to get over as far as people being like Oh you want to buy a third kart racer This year for$70 And it's a weird one to two button game That like is Kirby based I think that's going to be a big sell for people, but I think they all know that.

46:07Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And I also think, I think this game is going to do fine. It's a main, it's like a Nintendo highlight of the year. You know what I mean? Yeah, no, I mean, they're making it a big deal. I mean, two giants are X for it, obviously. It's just one for me that like, I just go, okay. And I mean, not every game's for everybody. I get it. Sure, sure, sure. Yeah. Okay. Good for you. I can't wait to try it out. Honestly, I played the demo and I enjoyed what I played at the demo, but reading about so much more of the stuff that they're adding here, I'm like, yo, this looks fucking so you're in now I'm in yeah you're gonna do the same thing okay well good for you I'm looking forward to your review you're reviewing it now oh cool I feel like Tim shit yeah I bet you probably have to fight Tim for it you know what I mean number four speaking of prices Assassin's Creed Shadows on Switch 2 is$80 this is Chris Cullion at VGC I forgot I forgot this story was in here following months of speculation Ubisoft has finally confirmed that Assassin's Creed Shadows is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 the Switch 2 version of the game will be released on December 2nd and will include touch screen support making it easier for players to navigate menus, maps, and their hideout the Switch 2 version will include all the content updates that have been introduced since the game was released on other platforms with the exception of the Claws of Awaji expansion which won't be added to the Switch 2 until early next year according to Ubisoft the Switch 2 version will cost $79.99 in both physical and hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on there's been an update to the story during the show coming from the same VGC article.

47:31Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Update. This came at 1736 o 'clock BST time. I don't know what the fuck fake time that is. An earlier version of this story included an$80 price point supplied by Ubisoft, which appears to be an error. VGC is seeking clarification. All I'm saying is if Jordan Midler wrote this article, we wouldn't have this problem. But it was Ubisoft, though. I'm just saying if Jordan Midler wrote this article at VGC instead of Chris Sculling, we wouldn't have this. Other sites were citing it as$80 too. Well, they're citing VGC because the VGC.news is where you go get all your news. Well, yeah, but VGC is citing Ubisoft because Ubisoft said$80.

48:06Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. I'm just saying Jordan Midler is so large that he wouldn't have got this wrong. You're right. It would have taken him so much slower to write the article with his huge fingers.

48:16Blessing Adeoye Jr.:He was like, ah, shit. By the time he would have done it, Ubisoft would have updated and it would have been fine. Don't worry about it. We were saying the Amazon pre-order is$60. Okay, that's better because, dude, I was getting ready. Oh, man. I was making jokes about this with Roger already, so I was going to recycle some of those jokes here. Roger just gassing you up out there, getting even more mad. I was like, it felt like, you know how comedians will go to a small comedy club to practice their material before they go on to the big stage? I was doing that with Roger. I like that. I like that.

48:42Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Now I can't use those jokes anymore, so you'll never hear them, guys. Fuck, that sucks. Sorry. Cool that it's coming to Switch, I guess. Yeah. Yeah. It's the usual Switch or Nintendo problem. We have third-party support. Games are a year old. Like, who fucking cares? Yeah, it's touchscreen. yeah I know I like that so it'll make it easier it's like was it hard was I having a hard time Roger made the good point during my tie five that like obviously that's going to be a mobile feature like they're planning on porting this to mobile probably that's probably why it has the touchscreen stuff interesting okay I'll take it uh let's move on to the story number five see if this one gets debunked in the middle of reading it Elden Ring for Nintendo Switch 2 just got hit with another delay this is Austin Manchester at Polygon Nintendo Switch 2 players looking forward to venturing through the lands between are going to have to wait a bit longer from software announced on thursday that elden ring tarnished edition is being delayed from its 2025 release window to sometime next year the studio notes that while development on the nintendo switch to port quote continues wholeheartedly towards release uh from software has quote decided to move the launch to 2026 to allow time for performance adjustments according to a post on x from the elden ring account quote we apologize to players looking forward to the game and thank you for your patience and support.

49:55Interesting. Yeah. What it was games. Come where there was like, Hey, this thing runs like dog shit and everybody dogpiled it. And then it was packs where people are like, Hey, it runs better.

50:06Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. I think I might've been one of those people. I played it at packs and I was like, Oh, you know, it doesn't run the best, but it's not, it's not like offended by this. I'm not offended by how it runs because it's literally Elden ring on a switch. Yeah. Hearing that they're going to polish it more. Hell yeah. Like get this thing to work and actually run in a way where I I'm like, hey guys, recommendable. You guys should play it on Switch 2. You gotta get to that place. If Final Fantasy 7 Remake can run that well on Switch 2, if Cyberpunk 2077 can run that well on Switch 2, we can get Elden Ring there.

50:38Okay. Are people bummed out? I mean, I know people are looking forward to it.

50:42Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'm sure Frum's bummed out, because now they gotta release it the same year as Duskbloods. Maybe they pushed that back, too. Oh, I hope not. There you go. Are you stoked for Duskbloods? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. After night rain yeah i was gonna say because like night i think before night rain i was kind of like uh i don't want to multiplayer from soft thing and then night rain came out you know that was actually pretty good it was like it's it's on paper okay but like in in action when you play that game it's like oh well there's actually a lot of fun to be had here i think dustbloods might align with that the main thing i'm worried about is it being in another online game from from soft also being exclusive to the switch switch to like that's going to be that's a meeting of companies that are behind the curve of online you're like none of you have gotten it right none of you have nailed this yet we're bringing it all together i don't know about i don't trust nintendo and i don't trust from when it comes to online but i'm sure it'll be fun i trust them when it comes to gameplay okay fair enough uh whenever that game comes out you know that it's going to be big news.

51:44But blessings say, I was sick of all the big news and I wanted something smaller. Where should I go?

51:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:You can go to our last news story, the Wii News channel. We'll recover all the small news items you need to know about. Number six, the Wii News. From Polygon, Steam has a new calendar feature. Let's see some images, Kevin. Steam is rolling out a new tool to help users wade through the sea of endless new releases. Announced Tuesday, the personal calendar will display a snapshot of games that have recently released and those coming in the near future. I love this. I saw this yesterday, clicked into my calendar, and it's really cool. Yeah, it shows your wish lists and, like, organizes them, and then also just games that you're probably interested in, but you can turn all that stuff off easy.

52:23Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Okay. And I've been asking for an automated calendar for so long just from, like, any platform that wants to do it, like, whether it is, like, these, like, Backlog.com, which I think Backlog has a version of it. Steam doing it natively in their thing, fucking chef's kitchen. Where do I see the calendar? so that's the tough thing is i haven't i i opened it on my browser uh-huh through the link on polygon i didn't check to see i didn't check to see how you do it on the on my wish list options no no uncle leo recommendations oh here is you found it yeah under recommendations my personal calendar oh release the last month released in the last what's coming up for you what's steam telling you that you got to play uh well let's go upcoming okay okay okay it's telling me i love the frosty glide ninja gaiden 4 because it has no idea who the fuck i am uh bloodlines which i already own but whatever rv there yet because you guys are always playing it i probably wish listed dispatches on here katamari bounty star which i just can't get hyped for really every time i see bounty star i'm like that's not me i want to try that one radio light oh i what i like about this is that it has three sections so the first section is released in the last month yeah The second section is released in the last seven days, and then the third section is like the upcoming thing.

53:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:This is organized perfectly. Whoever worked on this page, I think, nailed it as far as what it needs to be. It's recommended a game I've never heard of, and they might have nailed it. Radio Light. And that's like a radio and like a light bulb light. Radio Light. Ashwood Creek, 1985. A child disappears without a trace. A local policeman is drawn to the national park seeking the truth. Mysterious radio signals beckon him further and further. investigate survive and face the unknown in radio light in 80s thriller by solo dev christoph nest no no nestle huh this calendar is walking sim huh oh this looks cool this looks fucking rat yeah you know it's i feel like it's been a minute since a good walking sim yeah oh that was scary got a little like fire watchy kind of thing unless like you count dead take i guess dead take when's this out walking sim what is this i'm buying it when's it out is this is it horror-ish?

54:34Oh, it's out right now. Okay. Is it like horror or is it... I mean, that's what it said. It looks like over there. It's an 80s thriller. Steam Decompatibility Unknown, but don't worry about it.

54:44Blessing Adeoye Jr.:This calendar is how I'm learning that Hotel Barcelona came out earlier this month. See, that's how you got to do it. That's crazy. And hold on. I'm agreeing. Hold on. Now I'm looking at the... I'm buying Radio Light just like that. Thank you, Steam, for your cool calendar. Hold up. I'm looking at a game coming out October... Oh, 22nd, called hyperbeat this shit looks rad embark as a knight in order but as a night night in an order chasing their potential featuring an original soundtrack precision rhythm gameplay character customization and a story following an ensemble cast i'm looking at it and it looks like an old like ps2 enhanced enhanced studios games game you know what i mean oh sure hell yeah yeah this looks fucking cool huh good job steam everyone go check this out like i said if you're on your steam you can go to the store where I was, right?

55:31Is that what I did? Yeah, the store. Then for me, it was recommendations, carrot, and then explore my calendar. Fuck yeah, that's pretty fucking rad. Alright, I like this a lot. Oh, and you can hide your wish listed games too. Yes. Oh. Oh. As I said, and I know I'm the first to say it in a long time, Steam pretty cool. Pretty cool. I said that on last week's Gamescast. Why can't we have this on the PlayStation store? Oh, I'd break. From GamesRadar, Crafton says it will be an AI first company. Craft and CEO Kim Chang-Han says the company, quote, will expand the growth opportunities of each member through the AI first strategy, expand creative attempts centered on player experience, and lead AI innovation in the game industry as a whole, end quote.

56:17Blessing Adeoye Jr.:That's the Wii News version of it. If you go and read the full article, if you heard that and you're like, man, they're saying that with their full chest like that, read the whole thing. It's even worse. They're saying it with their full chest. Hey, AI is the fucking mandate. AI first. That's what we're doing here. If you even thought there was going to be a good crafting game coming up anytime soon, that is, see you later. The Hi-Fi Rush soundtrack is going to be all AI. Oof. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2's Final Story DLC is out November 11th. Pokemon, the trading card, the card, no, the TCG. What is it?

56:51Pokemon TC Pocket. Yeah, yeah, but I'm saying the card game. Pokemon TCG Pocket Mega Rising expansion launches October 30th Bluey's Quest for the Gold Pen has been announced for Xbox, PlayStation Switch, Mobile, and PC you see this one? no I did not Kevin can I get a trailer for Bluey's Quest for the Gold Pen thank you very much Neo Pets Mini no Mega Mini Games Collection launches March 26, 26 on PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC this is my Bluey's Quest for the Gold Pen I appreciate that I was a big Neo Pets kid Sonic Rumble launches November 5th on mobile and PC and Sonic Racing Cross Worlds has surpassed 1 million copies.

57:27Joker is now out as DLC. We are looking at his Bluey drawing at her kitchen table. As you'd expect. Here comes Bandit. Oh, are we going to do it in the page? Are we going to be characters in the page? A new Bluey adventure game. Original story from the show's creator. Bluey's quest for the gold pen. Pre-order now. Oh, that's all we got. All right. Well, I'm telling you. Oh, and it's all on the Mac. Pre-order on the... Oh, okay. It's on everything. I wonder how mobile-y it'll be. I mean, yeah. But I'll put it on my wish list so I know. Red Blue Reclaimer says I didn't know Bluey was a girl. She is a girl.

58:00Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It looks like, yeah, it's going to be like a 2D. On the page? I would like that. You know, I've been bummed out. Nick Toon's Dice of Destiny. Oh, yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. It looks like a kid's version of an ARPG, right? And I booted it up for Ben, and I'm like, you can be a Ninja Turtle. You can be SpongeBob. And he wasn't having it. He wanted to go back to playing Skate. He wanted to go back to playing Spider-Man. And I was like, damn, I'm interested. I want to play this one, Ben. I got to do it when he goes to bed. Escape from Duck Off has sold 1 million copies. Insane. You were talking about that the other day.

58:32Yeah, when he sold to 500 ,000. They sent you a code. They were so excited to see you talk about it. They did send you a code. Yeah. I haven't booted it up yet, but it looks cool. And then possibly the biggest news of the day, the Rhythm Cross roguelite action game Ratatan has surpassed cumulative sales of 100 ,000 copies during its Steam early access period. a major update is scheduled for October 30th and you know your boy Greg Miller will be there once again for the spiritual successor to Patapon you've been playing Rattaton? I did that one big flight of it early access is always that thing of how much am I committed to it so I did 6 hours on a flight or whatever and it was like started off being like oh I wish it was just Patapon and by the end I was like I get it I get what we're doing and this is cool but it was more of that it's review season there's a million things to play and what is going to keep me going It's on my wish list.

59:18Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I saw like one trailer of it that looked really cool. And I was like, oh, this might be a me type of game. Yeah. And then your final news, Wii news, but it could be big news. But I think we heard it's just Wii news. We do have your Fallout Day 2025. Everything announced. We are reading from Michael Kripes Report at IGN.com. I'm going to just read the big bullet points. If there's something we need to dive into, let it go. Also, we got to talk about this. I know this is how it works. I understand this. but I'm being served the ad here on the thing for the movie Regretting You it stars McKenna Grace who is now an adult but I still think of her as Phoebe Spangler the little ghostbuster so I do not like seeing her in this intimate embrace with this man I didn't know where you're going with that she is a child I know she is not but she will always be a child that's like me whenever I see Maybe from Arrested Development fair enough she's in so many things now kids be growing up I understand kids are growing up but it's just I feel like Ghostbusters Afterlife was like last year and I realized even that said it was four years ago it's not that long I mean listen Arrested Development was like 20 years ago anyways Fallout Day report from IGN goes like this celebrating 10 years of Fallout 4 with an anniversary edition and Nintendo Switch 2 so Fallout 4 anniversary edition is going to come to Nintendo Switch 2 it'll be bundled with all the DLCs of course it's also coming to Fallout 4 anniversary edition has a November 10th release date platforms remain unclear for now but Bethesda at least confirms Fallout 4 will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.

1:00:48So there's a anniversary edition coming you assume to everything else on November 10th and then later on there it is. Okay, cool. Obsidian Entertainment shows up to celebrate Fallout New Vegas and reveal a new bundle. The Fallout New Vegas 15th anniversary edition bundle is available to pre-order right now from the Gear Store. You get your big Victor statue. It's not even a remaster. It's just the ultimate edition. That sucks.

1:01:12Blessing Adeoye Jr.:that super sucks i mean it's cool but like yeah i want a remaster we're gonna celebrate new vegas let's celebrate new vegas fallout comes to the real world there's like halloween horror night stuff fall shelter celebrates its 10-year anniversary uh fall 76 heads into its next year with burning springs i previewed this of course this is walter gaggins uh coming to fall out 76 um they put a date on it we said this oh here we go uh nope ign doesn't have a date for i thought i saw in there didn't chat didn't there was a date on the 76 expansion it's not in the uh article yet ryan wind so nothing no december 2nd says mr hawks is when you can play the new fall out 76 expansion which i played and enjoyed and i will also come back for yeah but what are we doing the show's coming out in december you gotta have a skew this is what they have out in december the fall 76 expansion yeah if you don't think that the fallout 76 either before i'm sorry fallout season two episodes either start before or end with uh this trailer probably of it's me the ghoul and i'm in fall 76 come play with me right now blah blah and they'll probably do some kind of wait is fall 76 free to play i know there's a you have to buy fall 76 anymore listen I know on Game Pass I was going to say Every game is free to play For three hundred and something dollars a year On Xbox Game Pass Also

1:02:41Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I love the fucking shit Okay You have to pay Here's the thing Yeah Your cousin's partner Watches the Fallout TV show Season 2 for the first time They're like Wow I want to play a video game You can point them to Fallout 76 That's what they're going to try to do Yuck Hey Remaster a game Dang it What about Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition? Oh, let's move on. Which they've already played, obviously, probably after last year. You can get this on Switch, too. Honestly, that's not bad. Like, hey, if you have a title possible. It would be... It is... Here's what we got to say. I'm at least thankful that there's something new in 76 tied to the show for the show.

1:03:25It was such a gaffe last time around of Season 1, and everybody wants to play Fallout, and it felt like everybody was like, oh, we didn't expect this. Yeah. And so like Fallout 4 is top of Steam charts. I went and played a bunch of 76 and fell in love with what it is. Like there was all this. Like, yes. All that said, when they were like at the end of season one, spoilers for the end of season one, season two, we're going to New Vegas. The fact that nobody went ring-a-ding-ding, stop everything we're doing. Why are we doing the Elder Scrolls remastered? Remaster Fallout New Vegas right fucking now.

1:03:58Right now.

1:03:59Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I want to throw no shade to Oblivion Remaster. They remastered that for no reason. New Vegas is right fucking there. Not saying that you shouldn't get to the Oblivion Remaster, but yeah, you're right. At the very least, Fallout 3 Remastered should be launching aside this as well. Yeah. So that there is, and again, I'm not the smartest man in the fucking room, but would they sell Oblivion for$70? I imagine they did, and I know Game Pass or whatever, but like, what? What? What? What? What? What? What? Like you need 30. You got to have your fucking employee profit investment margin up 30%. And nobody's like, you know what?

1:04:36We should fucking do the game that everybody thinks is the best fallout. New Vegas. Why don't we fucking remaster that? And at the very least do fallout three remaster to put out. Cause people bought these games. They already put all this off.

1:04:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Dude, I'd be so fucking down for a fall three remaster. And you know, it's coming and I can't fucking wait, but why, you know, and I'm going to turn on new Vegas or now it was 76. and I'm going to go play 76 and do the bounties. I enjoyed what I played, but I'm not going to be. I'm happy for you. I'm not going to. I ain't. I'm not going to be. I'm not going to fall down another hundred hour hole for this thing. Yeah. I'm going to boot it up. Remember my character's way OP. Do the thing I needed. Or maybe I will just keep playing Outer Worlds 2. I don't even want to talk shit about Fallout 76 because I know it's good now, right?

1:05:20Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. It's good. Okay. Yeah. I know it's good now, but it ain't it for you. That's not what I'm. That's not. I hear you. I hear you. I hear you. That's it for Wii News, everybody. We did it. It was a big Wii News. It was a big Wii News, but we had a lot of fun here. Let's check in on the old super chats before we get out of here.

1:05:39Admiral Redbeard, Greg, can you explain how you and Tim reviewed Pokemon? Did they send you two codes or did you all share? Nope. My, as usual, bullying tactic worked and we got two codes. Let me tell you, if we had one code and we shared it, that'd be a violation of rules. and we'd be a lot of trouble. Yeah, Nintendo doesn't like that shit. No way. Josh G says, I'll spend$40 on the chief Kawasaki amiibo. Chef Kawasaki. Chef Kawasaki.

1:06:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:You know, the chef. Great googly moogly. That's his catchphrase. Yeah, and Kirby right back at you.

1:06:12Alvarado CN says, gaming adjacent, ice is moving in force to San Francisco, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, just in time for GDC. Yes, we are aware that ice is invading San Francisco. Fuck ice. There are many protests. fuck ice into the ground of course uh yeah there's a lot of stuff going on out here and it's just shocking that ice just keeps coming to these blue states and blue cities i digress but you know it's out of control bringing the national guard why not why not just bulldoze half the fucking white house too and add a giant ballroom we don't need i i hate it when i walk outside and it's a war zone

1:07:48It's a jam-packed cast.

1:07:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Man, Starfield. Remember that one? Yeah, that's crazy. Expansions are coming soon. That game came out. This week we had a news article about it, didn't we? Where they were like, ah, it's the procedural generation that killed it. Oh, that didn't make the thing? That didn't make it. No. Whatever. Alex J. Sandoval. That didn't make anything. Console soldiers should direct there. You talked about it positively at the actual corporation and execs laying people off, not people who talk and speculate and have no impact on business decisions. Thank you. Phil of the Trucker says, activision bill is due but microsoft started buying studios after sony started paying studios to keep games off of xbox well for the record x playstation's always been fucking paying people to keep games off of xbox you know what never mind uh there's a lot i'm jumping through now to do some stuff here omega buster says greg now that you're a pc gamer just wanted to send you a weekly reminder to shower that's good that's good that's good and it was you know funny too the other day it was on stream it was on stream maybe it wasn't maybe it was a private conversation but i'm gonna blow it up where andy was lamenting that he can't show his steam store when he wants to do stuff because there's always some fucking erotic bullshit fiction oh yeah because of how steam works and i think about all the time when i'm like what is happening at the store and i go there and it's like number three and top sellers is fucking you know dominatrix i you know i try to help him out because i was like i'd never seen that shit but i i after the show i was kind of thinking about it.

1:09:12Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I was like, is that his algorithm? Is that like an Andy thing? Where are you going? Kel Wren says, you can turn that off. Why would we want to? Alright, I'm in top sellers. Why would anyone want to disable that? Crosser 98, birthday tax been lurking since 2012. Thanks for getting me into podcasts. No problem. Thank you for hanging out. Brody Odie says, birthday tax. It's my birthday today. Is that how it works? I'm too afraid to ask. Thanks for everything y 'all do. October rules. Happy birthday, Brody Odie. Happy birthday, Crosser 98. Mr. Hawk celebrating fallout day says on this day in 2077 nuclear bombs decimated human civilization across the planet setting off a chain reaction that would eventually lead to a ghoulified Nick and Andy hosting KFAF.

1:09:53Happy fallout day. Happy fallout day to you too. Delco scooch says, Lowell Greg, I'm delivering right now. And when I read that out of context in the middle of the show, I thought you were having a baby. That's what I thought. Now that I've read the other UPS driver when I'm like, Oh, cool, cool, cool. It's so cool. We get to be with you through your workday like that. I like that a lot. I'm on the new releases. I've covered it. I'm looking at the top sellers. I'm not seeing any indie games. Here's the thing is I do think, and I'm going to ask everybody to put down your arms for two seconds. Just hear out my entire argument before you flip the fuck out.

1:10:24I do think it's based on your search history.
