0:33You know, Mike, on this iPad, I'm trying to get the lights behind us to look like KFGD colors. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And how's that app working for you? Ah, yeah. You know. Yeah, doing fantastic, I'm sure. Good morning, Andy. It looks just like a really, really old app, unfortunately. Yeah, it's all right. Welcome back. How are you? I'm doing great, Mike. How are you, man? I'm feeling great. It's been a fantastic weekend. The whole crew is smiling that you're back in town. Yeah. Where were you? Okay, why are you coming at me so aggressively? I need to know all about it I mean, I was back home Yeah I was watching Rush play They kicked ass What did they sing?

1:12A modern day warrior Mean me's trying to taste I'm stalling You know that song, right? Guitar Hero, right? Yeah, that was the one with Ant-Man And Jason Segel They were singing those songs Yes, yes And I Love You, Man The movie I Love You, Man And then they also sing...

1:33It's a very popular guitar hero song. It's called YYZ because it's the name of the Toronto airport, Mike. YYZ is like the... Oh, really? Yeah. It's a song about their travels. YYZ? Why do you think the Toronto airport's called YYZ? I have no idea, but they call it YYZ because they're Canadian. I like it. Yeah. I like it, too. Welcome to Kind of Funny Games Daily for Monday, September 28th, 2026. I am Andy, and I am joined by Snowbike Mike. I also went to L.A. for a cool gaming thing. That's cool. Can't talk about it yet, Mike. Sounded like a pack week for you, though. Embargo. Yes. Yeah, I did cut off my vacation.

2:08Parents weren't happy about it. I'll just say that. Things got to happen. I haven't seen my parents in about a decade plus. I say eat it. I don't think that's true. You go to Tahoe often. They live in Colorado. I go to Tahoe to be by myself. Oh, really? I always hear a story about Big Mike, but I guess it's just you and your inner and outer Big Mike. That's what I'm talking about. Big Mike is when I eat big, be big. Do you just go, like, when you say you go to Colorado to meditate or to Tahoe to meditate, are you just in your attic, like, alone? No, I go into the water. I go into the lake and I just float.

2:47I imagine you walking to the base of the ocean. It's like me. I'm like an Alan Wake. I'm in the caldera. Oh, really? I'm washing myself in the caldera. The caldera? Isn't that a Call of Duty map? That was a Call of Duty map. I don't know what a caldera is. I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm happy to be back, everybody. I'm happy to see your smiling faces in the chat. I'm happy to be here with Snowback Mike. I'm happy to talk about some video games. But first, if you're watching live, be a part of the show. by super chatting on youtube.com forward slash kind of funny games. We couldn't do this without our producers on patreon.com forward slash kind of funny.

3:27So thank you to Omega Buster, Delaney, the Psalm, Twining, and Michael Pesavento. For now, let's begin with what is and forever will be the Roper Report.

3:47Tim Gettys:I fucking hate you He doesn't want to do it Why? Why? It's time for some news We have six stories today A lot of cutting off there I don't think that is I took my headphones out Oh, okay Didn't sound right Oh, like hearing me I don't know In two spots. There's a lot of sound, yeah. A lot of sound. A lot of sound. Story number one, everybody. God of War Laufei pre-orders start tomorrow. New gameplay revealed. This comes from Grace Orlady, the communications director at Sony Santa Monica Studios. Coming from the PlayStation blog. We got some clips. We got some new gameplay. We got some new images.

4:30God of War Laufei is coming to PlayStation 5 consoles on my birthday, February 16th, 2027. I'm turning 43. That's not true. Really excited. We're excited to announce that tomorrow, September 29th at 10 a.m. local time, pre-orders officially go live. To get you ready, we're breaking down what comes with the God of War Lafayette pre-order bonus and digital deluxe edition. After that, we've got some brand new screenshots and footage of Faye's combat to round us out. When you purchase your copy of God of War Lafayette before launch, you will receive the Last Wish armor set, the Frank Golden Leaves appearance, which is a cosmetic, and then the in-game resource pack, or an in-game resource pack.

5:12I wonder what's in there. Nothing better than getting an in-game resource pack. I'm sure that's trash. Yeah. Let me get 20 embers and 30 goddamn soil clumps or something like that. The God of War Laofay Digital Deluxe Edition contains the Dark Alchemy Armor Set, Dark Alchemy Blade, Dark Alchemy... I'm just going to just know that the next two say Dark Alchemy in front of it, okay? Bow Scales and Catalyst. And I'm assuming those are all, they're all the purple things if you're seeing right now on the stream. The purple looks great. The purple looks fantastic. She looks fantastic. In-game resource pack.

5:50Digital mini art book. The official God of Oral-Au-Fei digital soundtrack. So let's stop there. Okay. Before we get into sort of the rest of the write-up, that's what you're getting for a pre-order, Mike. Does this sound like something that would entice you to swipe that card and get that pre-order going? Well, you know, thankfully you can pre-order up until the final moment, right? Right. So, yeah, I will be pre-ordering this game. Will I be doing it right now in September? No. But I do appreciate some fun cosmetic armor. I think she looks great in the purple. I like Frank the Cube with the Golden Leaves set.

6:31I don't know if you see that one out there, but I really like the Golden Leaf set. I don't like the blue armor, Andy. I'm not a big fan of the blue. Yeah, I see the blue now. Yeah, you see the blue now? Yeah, I'm not sure. It's all right. I'm not sure how I feel about it either. It kind of reminds me of Baja Blast-ish or something. Oh, interesting. Okay, okay. Bought a Baja Blast t-shirt recently. As you should. I door dashed it. Oh, nice. Yeah, to the hotel. I didn't know you could door dash a Baja Blast. Just a singular t-shirt. Yeah, yeah. What do you think about Frank the Golden Leaves? I think he looks pretty cool there.

7:05You know, I think there's a lot of interesting things you could do with the Frank cosmetics in terms of just weird colorways and things like that. Stuff that I love. I love just seeing something different. I would love if I could make Frank, like, if I could tune him to the way, like, the Razer software would allow you to tune your keyboard and, like, make the lights, like, do whatever sort of patterns and things like that that you want. If only this game were coming to PC, there would be some awesome mods to just have, Like, you know, all sorts of silly images on there. Jack Quaid's face just for six times.

7:38How many faces are on a cube, Mike? Four times. Four times four? Yeah. Sixteen. Nailed it. Crush it. That's a cube right there for you. But in terms of does this seem something worth going for an early digital deluxe edition? I don't know, Mike. I feel like it's whatever. I mean, there's people, I would love to know when the first pre-orders hit. I guess people are pre-ordering as of today. It's really whatever works for your finances, right? And so if today is the best day for you to pre-order God of War Lathe, more power to you. At least you get some nice little bonuses for it. That's always the positive.

8:16And then, you know, you can get all these bonuses until the last moment. So you don't have to jump too early, but I like the purple pack. I don't know how much more that is, right? You know what I really found that I liked? I like these digital art books now. I would rather have the art book on the coffee table, but I think I learned with Starfield's digital art book, I really like that. You know, we had it set up during the Starfield stream to just kind of cycle through all the photos that they had, and I think it's like a great, like, wallpaper, or just, like, you can just set it and forget it and let it run in the background.

8:47I think it looks cool like that. I, you know, like you mentioned, these are last-minute things you could just get. You know, if you're, when Laofey comes out that day and you're like, I got to go to work, I just want it to download in the background while I'm at work. You can get that preorder going. Yeah, I don't know. I feel like if there's a digital art book or a digital soundtrack that just comes with it, I always forget that that's included in it. I have so many soundtracks on Steam that I forget that I own because they're just – it's an odd place to kind of go looking for that sort of content.

9:20But I'm right there with you. I would have loved if it were, you know, if the deluxe edition, not the digital deluxe edition, If the deluxe one just came with that art book, I think that'd be fantastic, the more physical one. But let's get more into the write-up here. Introducing Faye's Serpent Bow, an enchanted bow with the shifting form of a serpent. Faye's new weapon in the everyone can go from dormant to notched at lightning speed, allowing her to weave deadly arrow strikes alongside her other attacks. Much like the deadly bite of its namesake, the Serpent Bow will tear through Faye's enemies in both close quarters and ranged combat.

9:57By fully pressing down the aim trigger, Faye will have more precise aim and increased draw distance. By striking at certain points on an enemy's body, Faye can impair their movement or ability to strike, giving her the perfect opening to follow up with a melee hit. While in this aim mode, Faye can charge up the bow and stack up to five arrows for a powerful volley. Oh, I love a volley, Mike. I love a volley. You got the volley. This reminds me of World of Warcraft. By the way, are we going to play forever or what? Well, I've been waiting for you and Greg for retail launch 40 days from now. I don't want you to have to make a character and then lose it in 40 days.

10:35So it truly depends on your timing. Greg says he wants to play the beta instead because he'll be too busy. So you have to make a choice here. You're the third vote. He's going to get outvoted. His bitch has to get outvoted. I said we're waiting. So, yeah, that's how that's going. So, yeah, you can charge up and stack up to five arrows for a powerful volley. perfect for taking advantage of Frank's ability to launch enemies up into the sky. With a half press of the aim trigger, Faye will enter a more mobile hip fire stance. In this aim mode, she can unleash a cluster of arrows for devastating damage to enemies at close range.

11:06Alongside the two fire modes, Faye can utilize a variety of arrow types that deepen your preferred play style. Rapid fire, explosive detonations, multi-target. Shed one form and embrace another. The serpent bow can be equipped with different types of scales that will change both the look of the weapon as well as the type of play style it specializes in via a unique perk. In via a unique perk. And there's a note from Blessing here. It says, the PS blog details more combat features as well as show off more screenshots. Thank you, Blessing. Always here in spirit with us. Have you seen the little clips playing?

11:40I'm so good at this game. I'm extremely jacked up for this game. Yeah, they're currently showcasing a little bit more of the combat that, of course, we saw the 20 minutes of. But it looks like Faye is inside of a gladiator arena, some sort of fighting pit. And we're getting to see the combo of the sword into some martial arts kicks into the bow. It all looks very God of War. It is cinematic. It looks cool. I'm excited for it. I love the movement, Mike. I love starting a combo, getting people up in the air, getting that skill expression. And we know that Sony Santa Monica is way more than capable to deliver an awesome combat experience.

12:19As we had in 2018, and then ratcheting up a lot more of the skill expression with God of War Ragnarok and the different weapons there. Yeah, this looks like a freaking blast. I can't freaking wait. It's going to be awesome. Yeah, even the enemies bouncing off of Frank the Cube to stay up in the volley in the air. That's pretty cool looking. Yeah, I want Frank to, like, call out an alley-oop for me or something like that. You know what? You never know. Jack Quaid might be doing that in this game. Yeah. I'm sure there's going to be a lot of comic relief with him. Oh, yeah, for sure. There'll be some fun silly bits.

12:49I'm sure he'll be doing that. Yeah. I mean, this looks fantastic. Quality looks top-notch. I'm just extremely jazzed about that video game. And it's one that, you know, it's 2027. That feels like that's ages away, but it's five months away, Mike. I mean, we're already at the end of September. We don't have much. It's already October by this point. Yeah, we're flying. Four. Four months. Kratos looks good as well in the slideshow photos. Looks gorgeous. He looks great. So real. So yacked is right. Unbelievable. Yeah, I mean, a positive little pre-order announcement here. I'd love to see the numbers of pre-orders this early out.

13:28You know, like what does this look like? We talked about Grand Theft Auto and, of course, last week how, you know, Xbox, Tim Ball. Chad, help me out with that one. Matthew Ball. Matt Ball, yeah. You know, talking about the GTA pre-orders. And we kind of knew GTA's in its own different league. They got a ball and a booty there. Ball and a booty. Yep, booty and a ball. I would love to know how much pre-orders God of War goes September 29th into, let's say, October 7th, right, this first early week. How many pre-orders is this getting? We're jumping at that. It's going to be so fire, dude. That game's going to be so fire.

14:05But I do wonder if people's minds are even. And I think this game will sell well and do well commercially. But right now, I think everybody's minds are just on. Surviving what's going on right now on about 17 different games. Yeah, on GTA and just saying, like, that's going to be the$85 purchase, whatever the taxes are. Who knows? But that's going to be the$70 to$80 game that I will be buying for the next coming months or so. Because that's kind of on the forefront. Mike, I'm having a big issue right now where I'm just like, I think I, what was that? Oh, fine. $5 fine. Your phone went off. Wow.

14:46Well, you have your ringer on. Did you hear that? I did hear that. I know. I've been trying to hear your text messages. I responded to it. You've been responding. I've been responding. It's because I've been living in loud mode. Live, laugh loud. That's what I've been calling you. Shut the fuck up. You have not been calling that. I've never heard you say that. That was really good. That was really good. I've never heard you say that once. Did Roger laugh? I got him. Yeah, he said that was really good. He liked that. I've been kind of been in that mess of juggling all these games. I think I started about seven different games over the last week and played about 20 minutes of each one of them.

15:22I'm like, I don't know where to start. Are you feeling it right now? I mean, you were gone, and so I had to hold down some streams by myself, and I did the Game of the Year Blind Spots where I just started playing games I had not played, and it's like, oh, there's so many games I haven't played, and then right now I'm trying to juggle a bunch of games. We did Ace Combat last week where I did 10 missions of that. You know how many missions are in Ace Combat? 30. That's a lot of fucking Ace Combat. That's a lot of Ace Combat. That's a lot of Ace Combat. People like it, though, Mike. People like it.

15:52Hey, I like Ace Combat, too. And then Star Wars Zero Z-Com. Star Wars Z-Com, you've been playing that? Brother, I am like maybe two hours away, an hour away from beating Z-Com. That game just keeps on getting better and better, man. It is so, and I already loved it, you know, for the first, you know, 22 hours or whatever. But good Lord, it just keeps on ratcheting up the stakes and getting more and more excited. That game is so damn good. All of these games are 30 hours plus. That's the thing that sucks. That's the problem. Star Wars Z-Com, I love Z-Com. That's 30 hours. Ace Combat, that's 30 hours.

16:27I'm trying to get you to play Fire Emblems, Fortunes, Weave. That's 70 minimum, 70 hours. Mike, one of the person's campaigns is 30 hours, 40 hours. The problem I'm running into is I look at a game like Control Resonant, and I'm like, okay, before that game comes out, before there's any rumors of how long it would take, I'm like, that's probably going to be about a 15-hour game. That's 30. Dude, I've paid it for 45 hours. That's 30 years, right? You know, we're not in the film industry where it's like, oh, you have no excuse for not watching that movie. You're right, because that's a two-hour movie.

17:05There are so many games that are like 25, 30 hours plus, and it's just like, damn. But what a great position to be living in. So many great games. So many good games. So many damn games. And everybody's playing something a little bit. World of Warcraft, they got the bait out right now. I could play that nonstop. I want to play Valheim. I want to play this new Deadlock update. Mm-hmm. Freaking shout-out to my girl Runa from Star Wars. Yeah, she's fantastic. She's my favorite. She's the best written character. Like, just so damn funny and entertaining. God, I love her. I love her so much. Get ready for Enhrouded 1.0.

17:38We haven't even hit that yet. Oh, God damn, dude. Unbelievable. Story number two. Sony is skipping CES in 2027 as it focuses more on entertainment. This comes from Chris Holt at Engadget. Sony's press conferences have been a staple of the consumer electronics show for decades, but there won't be one at the 2027 edition. The company said neither it nor its affiliates plan to show off any products at January's event. Quote, we continuously and strategically evaluate our approach to events and communications based on the needs and priorities of our diverse business. That's the same excuse that Greg and Tim give us in terms of like sending us to events, Mike.

18:20Yeah. They strategically and continuously evaluate their approach to events. That's how that goes is right. Which is like never, you know. You're never going. And he just wants to go to a PAX. Let me just go to a PAX. Let him go to a TwitchCon. Like, let him get out there. Let me show face here and there, you know. Shake some hands. Kiss some babies, you know. Sony told Bloomberg all that in a statement, noting that it's placing greater emphasis on entertainment, parentheses including games, anime, films, and music. It's intellectual property and tech that supports creators. Nikkei was first to report the news of Sony's exit from CES.

18:54The company didn't have its own booth at CES 2026, though a prototype of the Afila, an electric vehicle it was making with Honda, was on the show floor. A couple months later, Sony Honda Mobility scrapped the EV project, and two companies said they'd review the direction of their joint venture. I kept on getting notices about this Afila car. Okay. And I was like, man, that looks like a cool electric car. and it was like, it was one of those that was like 120 grand. I was like, oh, never mind. I thought this was going to be something chill. Yeah, check out the Afila. Google that Afila. Afila in it.

19:27Look that sucker up. This Honda right here? Yeah. Okay. Well, I mean, maybe they took down the website. Yeah, yeah. Just look at images or something because they probably took it on the website because I think they just scrapped the idea of it all. Oh, yeah. This doesn't look bad. Yeah, yeah. This looks very futuristic. You look in the inside. It's just like, you know, the interior is just, it's all computer. It's all computer. got it sony has stepped back from other consumer tech categories including tvs after handling the reins of the bravia brand over to tcl it's still making gaming devices of course the playstation division has been expanding into peripherals such as monitors headphones and speakers if sony does announce the playstation 6 next year though it won't be doing so at c e s andy you're my tech guy I mean, this is just par with the course, right?

20:15When you're focused on everything else but the tech at this particular moment, there's no need to waste money and be at a booth with nothing to show, right? Yeah, especially when the one reason you could have been there, your car is just not going to be there. Yeah. But, you know, handing over the reins of the Bravia brand over to TCL, I didn't even know that was a thing. Like, that's shocking to me. This has less to do with Games Daily and just more of like, oh, damn. you know, I used to sling some Bravias every once in a while at Best Buy. I'm like, yeah, every once in a while, they can get somebody who speaks Spanish over to home theater, over to home theater.

20:51I'm like, I don't really, I'm not very good at it, but I can try. You'll come over. Yeah. Yeah. I'll try to, you know, say like 60, 65. I don't know what inches is. Okay. Damn, damn, damn. What's inches, dude? What's inches, chat? Let us know. But when we're talking about the upcoming PS6 on the horizon, it's like, okay, well, CES, mark that off as not being there. So does that mean mark that off at Game Awards, not announcing at Game Awards? I hope they just cancel it altogether. I hope it's just gone forever, Mike, to me. Pulgadas. Pulgadas is an inch. Thank you, Chad. Would they announce the PS6 at a Game Awards, or would it just be its own state of play?

21:37I feel like it would be its own showcase. Yes, PlayStation showcase. We saw it with Mark Cerny the last time with the five, right? I would say I'm going to put my prediction out there at Pizza Bed right now with myself. March 2027, we get a state of play. And it's all the beautiful visuals and the cool motion graphics, just like the PS6. A month after God of War? Yeah. Okay. I think so. Ride the Hive God of War. Then let them know. Holiday season. You can get a PS6. Damn, holiday? That's so soon. Will you induce it on it for a year and a half from March? Three years. I mean, if it's the announcement time, it's going to have to come out that same year, right?

22:26All right, maybe fall. Maybe I throw it in the fall. Announce fall and then what? Come out in March, the next year? I don't know. I'm all over the place. I'm just trying to tell you. You're just pushing it back. You don't want it right now. I just don't want it. I get it. Some people don't want it. I don't fucking want it, dude. But they're sitting on it. That's the problem. They're sitting on it. They're just like Valve. They're like, what are we going to do on those steam machines? Exactly. We got to get rid of this. We raised the cost$300. Man, everything is just so screwed up right now. All right.

22:57Well, that does it for the Sony at CES story beat. You know, to be honest with you, I thought there'd be a little bit more there. I mean, you could talk about Bravi and TCL, you know what I mean? I mean, clearly, they're focusing on the entertainment sector, which we totally get. We're not ready for the PS6 at this particular time, especially with a convention floor, right? Like, we're not putting the PS6 on there unless they're announcing it tomorrow. And then on the flip side, like, Bravi and TCL, I thought that was interesting. I thought people hated TCLs. No. No. TCLs are good, affordable TVs.

23:32Have always been a, like, very good quality affordable television. Really? I thought they made fun of TCO. No, it's not. I mean, they got, you know, it's not one of those, like, you know, I think, you know, if we're being real. Like how Roger makes fun of me and my Vizios. I think that's more of where, I have a Vizio. I still have my Vizio. I like Vizio. I like a good affordable budget television, right? I just want a television that I can buy on the cheap that's big, throw it in the living room. Let's not talk about it. The 4K65 five inches from your baby. Like, I don't give a shit. Let's keep it going.

24:06I'm one of those families that's like, I'm here for the affordable television. And TCL does that. They were sort of the ones that go, hey, we're trying to get into this business, and we're going to hit you with decent enough quality at a much lower price than you would expect. You know. And so now Sony and Bravia, I thought they were, I always put Sony and Bravia televisions as more quality than my Vizio and TCL. I would say so, because for a while there, it was like you get the Bravia if you want. Tim would always tell me this. You get the Bravia if you want better movie viewing. You get the LG if you want better gaming.

24:46Okay. But it's always been like close enough of a tie as it is. When they talk about, hey, we want to focus more on entertainment, do you think that means, you know, they say including games, anime films music are we talking more of that ip of hey we want to we want to be more present at whatever big movie um you know expo that's coming up where we we're going to show off the god of war tv show yeah or we're going to show off the is it elden ring that is also sort of in partnership with sony no it's not i'm blanking on what big movie oh it was resident evil never mind Evil just was, yeah, yeah.

25:27But I feel like this is their, this is them saying we're taking entertainment pretty seriously. Yeah. And while we don't have a whole lot to show in that tech space, for whatever upcoming movie expo conference that there is in the future, we're going to have some shit to show. Similar to Twisted Metal on Hulu or whatever the hell. Okay. You know, like I think that we will see, you know. I wouldn't put it past them with, like, people greenlighting a Last of Us movie right now. I'm sure that's a conversation that's been had. Yeah, yeah, for sure. Like, just how popular this show is. Like, it doesn't have to be those characters.

26:10We could put in whatever. We could do whatever with it. It's just the Last of Us, you know, get some good actors. We just saw that with Resident Evil. Yeah, exactly. Hey, it doesn't have to be a main character. Just put it in the world. Yeah. I'll tell you what else, Mike. Tell me. Just put it out there, put it in the world Story number three Story number three Story number three is insane Story number three is one of those like Some person just had the idea of it And they're like, nah, but they would never agree like that That would never reach the patent table But story number three This comes from Andy Robinson at VGC Sony patents PlayStation controller That accepts credit card payments Fuck yeah, dude This, I mean, this is exactly the way of the world You knew this would happen one day, right?

27:02The application titled Video Game Controller Driven Information Transfer God There is just There is just nothing more that makes me want to vomit in my lap The application titled Video Game Controller Driven Information Transfer Was filed in March 2025 and published earlier this month, and describes a controller that can read payment details from nearby cards or devices. The patent, reported by Dick Zerto, describes a scenario where, when prompted, players can bring their phone or payment card close to the controller, after which the controller will receive the details and send them to the console.

27:44Sony's application specifies that the system could be used to purchase games, in-game credits, and add-ons, and describes a scenario where a player could purchase a full game with a quick payment touch after trying a demo at a store or expo. Notably, the patent says the system could also work with a physical gift card purchased at a store. Potentially, this could also work as Sony's plan to install replacement for physical game discs. As with all patents, there's no guarantee that the technology will eventually make it into consumer products. I have a feeling it might though I don't think it's that How big is the device The What did they call the name of that one right there Video game controller driven information transfer It reminds me of NFC Near field communication So when I walk to 7-Eleven Let's say and I tap my Cell phone and or credit card down On the machine How big is that reader and can it be put into a controller?

28:46I would assume so. Without throwing out the weight, without having to pull back all the features that gamers actually want, right? It can't be that big of a piece there.

28:56Tim Gettys:It's not that big. I mean, you have those ones that are attached to computers. I mean, sorry, to phones, right? That are just a plug-in. So yeah, it's like just an NFC reader, essentially. Yeah, so it's like on that, right? Let's talk about the positive before we get into the negative, right? The positive is sometimes you're like, oh, man, I have to type in this long credit card number to go get that all set. I got to stand up and find my wallet now. It's just alleviating that press of all that stuff. At this point, when I heard this news last week, I was like, it's only two button presses to buy stuff on the console already.

29:32It's like they already have my credit card information or they got my PayPal. It's not that many steps. But this is simply Mike not having to go retype in his credit card information again. Anytime it tells you, you got to, you know, we don't remember your CVV or whatever. Oh. Hate that shit. You hate that. And then you got to go get up and go find it. So, like, yeah, that's what this is, right? As on the flip side, the dystopian world, the idiocracy world that we live in, this seems on par. Right? Like, this idiocracy, the movie. Oh, yeah. Like, we're living in that, you know? Yeah, especially in a day and age where we continuously hear about, and the conversations are usually about, where is the innovation in the tech?

30:16We've already sort of, we've reached such a high ceiling. There aren't many further places to go. and when I'm not trying to make this like the dumb argument that you always see online of like oh they were too busy fucking adding woke to games that they didn't make a good video it's like okay well different departments do shit right there isn't just there isn't just all of Sony working on this one possible thing that may not even see the light of day. Who knows? But when these are the innovations that we are striving for, a way to more easily extract money from the user, more conveniently, right?

31:05As a user, you go, oh, this might be more convenient for me. But like, it's more of like, we want to just more conveniently get money quicker. And And when time and effort and, you know, programming and engineering and things like that are working on this, it's like, can we not – can we focus those efforts somewhere else? And that's where my mind goes. Like, come on. There's got to be other things we can be doing with our employees right now. Yeah. So, yeah. This is just another one of those that I'm honestly not even surprised. That's just where we're at nowadays That's somebody's job too Innovate and find different things And find pain points and pinch points You know, Big MC over in the YouTube chat says I disagree with Mike, this is for the kids I think it's important to have extra steps Before using a credit card Meaning, I think they're looking at this As like, this is for the kids to grab your credit card And just start tapping it really fast Right, and that's what parental controls are on for Like, you're supposed to have those on Before your kids start grabbing your credit card Oh yeah This is very much meant for a mature adult gamer who, as we just said, doesn't want to find their credit card or doesn't want to put their credit card information onto online and just tap it once and then be done with it.

32:27Now, on the flip side, just scanning a gift card sounds like a dream. It's Christmas time. You get that PSN gift card. Thank you so much, Grandmama. It's in. That sounds awesome. instead of typing in the 25 digit I hate that shit I've gotten so lazy to the point where I'll take a photo of it and then I'll use my phone's text photo and I'll just copy paste that into and then I'll usually slack that to myself and I'm just adding more steps as we move more digital that's what these steps are for that's what we're moving towards everything is just going to become all digital what are the steps to make it easier for you slash get more money out of you, right?

33:15As Big MC says, this is the kid that's grabbing your credit card and tapping it up. Tap, tap, tap, tap away. Well, we hope that you tap, tap away on Patreon and you go to Patreon and you support us there because if you don't pay for the things you love, they go away forever. 34:42And we are back with story number four. The Last of Us season three cast John Goodman, video game stars Laura Bailey and Ian Alexander. This comes from Mike Copeland at Variety. actor John Goodman and video game stars Laura Bailey and Ian Alexander will be added to the season 3 cast of HBO drama The Last of Us. Goodman plays Joey, one half of the self-nicknamed Heroes of the Highway duo from the series based on the Sony PlayStation video game series that follows the characters in post-apocalyptic America. The Last of Us, led by showrunner and executive producer Craig Mazin, is expected to return to HBO next year for what may be its final season.

35:27and I'm going to interrupt the story real quick here because I just saw a great tweet like maybe last week from the head of HBO who was like yeah it might be the last season and they're like motherfucker you run it what do you tell us it might be we don't know what if it catches hot fire what if like this being the quote unquote maybe last season people are starting to watch it they really love it again it's like well maybe we have an off one maybe we do another couple seasons Let's do a little side story. Yeah, a little side story for a quick season. Maybe two. Alexander steps into the role of Paco, the other half of the duo.

36:02Alexander previously played Lev in The Last of Us Part II video game. The actor also appeared in the OA television series as Buck Vu. Bailey portrays Elizabeth. This is Laura Bailey. Portrays Elizabeth as one of the leaders of the Seraphites religious sect. Bailey played Abby in The Last of Us Part II video game. She also lent her voice to the Legend of Vox Machina series in 2023, Spider-Man 2 video game as Mary Jane Watson. This is a weird sentence, but we know who Laura Bailey is. She's been everywhere. This is Variety talking to the newbies who have no idea what video games are. This is cool.

36:46Okay, lay it on me. Because first off, like Ian Alexander not playing Lev, kind of weird, but still being brought back as a way to like, hey, you're a great actor. We're going to put you in this show as a new character completely. And same with you, Laura Bailey. You were fantastic as Abby in The Last of Us Part II. But much like we did with Troy Baker and put him in the show, we're going to get you in the show also because you rock and you're really talented. So why not give you a different character to play? And I think when I look at the macro of all of this, so much of the behind-the-scenes discussions of The Last of Us TV show are, oof, seems like there was maybe kind of a decent amount of disagreements between Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin.

37:38Where Craig Mazin said, I want to work on this project. Neil, I want you to work with me. I love this video game. Let's make it a TV show. and then it just seemed like this is pure speculation well it's not speculative that a lot of the story and a lot of characters beats were changed for the sake of the tv show and that turned a lot of people off and i'm sure to someone like neil druckman who says well damn we worked really really hard on making the story and making it what it was and that's why it is so beloved why are we changing that are we changing it just for the sake of changing it and And so you're sort of like reading all of this internal strife between these two creatives.

38:22But for Craig to still want to honor, you know, and this isn't like he's just giving these actors jobs because he feels bad for them. Or it's like, yeah, let's just let's give him a little head nod and go, hey, shout out to you for like these are pretty major roles for talented actors. it's awesome that they're being brought back as you know I feel like in any other world any other actors would have been cast but because Craig Mazin loves the video game so much and knows that these people are talented says yeah let's get you in here and play these other characters I think that's pretty cool I didn't finish watching the last of a season two I just sort of kind of lost interest a little bit early on in the season but I know that the hardest of the hardcore video game fans weren't super stoked with the direction of a lot of the characters.

39:09And you're right. Maybe season three can pop off again, Mike, and maybe it could bring people back in to maybe continue this lineage and continue The Last of Us on HBO. How about John Goodman? Super stoked. Oh, yeah. Yeah? John Goodman's awesome. Like, just in pretty much everything, in any role, John Goodman's going to be great. So that's one of those where I'm like, hell, yeah, that's a win. um laura bailey uh is obviously insanely talented and it's going to be really cool just to see her on an awesome hbo big prestige franchise that brings in a lot of subscription money for hbo like that's it's a very popular show and i i hope that maybe this opens up more avenues for her to be on television more and be on big more larger like non-video game stuff not that that's not Not that I'm saying that's what she wants, but I think it's really, really cool when we see actors kind of go beyond just the video game.

40:08I think that's really, really neat. Okay. We have a super chat here from Kebabs who says, fun fact, The Last of Us is John Goodman's second PlayStation adaptation. He played Grimroth, an original character from the Ratchet and Clank movie. Damn, he was in that movie? I forgot that movie came out. I liked that movie. We saw most of the movie in the video game, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But I still liked the movie. That was awesome. Was that an on-your-phone watch for you, Mike? Oh, everything's an on-your-phone watch. You know what I'm on? You know what I'm deep right now in? I don't want to know.

40:37Dungeon Crawler Carl. Oh. Dude, I am deep. I'm already halfway through book number one right now. Loving it. Are you reading it with your ears? I'm reading it with my ears. Fuck yeah, dude. Yeah, it's fantastic. Have you got on this yet? Dude. You're going to love it. I wanted to, and then I was, I know it's awesome, But I was given the – in my mind, I thought it was going to be more along the lines of the Dungeons & Dragons television show. Or movie, sorry. Oh, okay. I thought it was going to be a lot more along those. And then somebody in chat gave me like a synopsis about a fucking cat. Oh, Princess Donut.

41:17I was like, this is completely off from what I thought and now I'm not interested. But I know it's really, really good. You don't like The Running Man? No, not really. Really? I mean, it's whatever. I don't know. Okay. I didn't see the original. Yeah, but you don't like - That remake was not very good. That remake - But like the premise of The Running Man. You're like the premise of The Running Man. I saw The Running Man on Twitch.db. That's kind of funny games when you were doing the Death Stranding Marathon. I saw it. You were the running man. I was fucking running. You were running. I want people to know that that was an accomplishment.

41:50It really was. And I gained weight. That was muscle. get us in the next dog that muscle just really really got you might want to consider it's pretty good for your urban hiking you might want to throw it out on the audible the guy's doing a great job the guy who was doing the voice for all this he's doing a fantastic job adding fun voices in making it not feel like someone's just reading you the book he's really giving it to you and it's the running man meets like World of Warcraft solo leveling with some fun with Princess Donut and Carl I would be hard-pressed for you not to like this, I think, if you gave it a full try.

42:28James Peters with a$5 SuperJet says, I've had several and have friends who have had several TCL TVs. Best bang for the buck. Hell yeah. That's what we're going for. Uh-oh, Angela with a$5 SuperJet says, Birthday tax turned the big 3-0 yesterday. Big 3-0. Happy to spend my first day in the new decade with my favorite jabronis. Keep up the great work. Thank you, uh-oh, Angela. We appreciate you. Adam Vision asks, does Mike own a TV? Many TVs. One that I don't even use, and that was my big one. For the 4K Nook? Yeah, the 4K Nook. Well, I don't sit in the 4K Nook anymore, you know what I mean? Oh, that was, was that at your Tahoe house?

43:04No, that was in Kevin's house. Now the 4K Nook has become a full-on living room, but I don't spend time in the living room. Why not? Because I'm in the streaming studio at all times. Just gaming. Dude, I mean, I'm just gaming at all times. My eyes are just burning from all the gaming. Oh, my God, dude. It was insane. I'm gaming so hard that I'm falling asleep with the Switch in my hands. It's falling on my face. Oh, no. You got to get the mechanism pillow, the gaming pillow. Dude, I might have to look into the mechanism pillow because I put all 70 hours of Fire Emblem on the Switch in, like, handheld mode.

43:33And I'll tell you what, man. Use your X-reels. Dude. Didn't think of that. I really fucked up. I didn't take my X-reels on my trip. And I was – I put out a tweet being like, why can't we use the headrest monitors as gaming monitors? Let me cast whatever I want up to it. Let me just – USB-C. You know what I'm doing? I'm just putting my phone over it. Yeah. Or I'm doubles. I'm doing two different things at once, and nobody wants to do that. Nobody wants to do that. Let me just cast. But that was also just my fault because I'm like, I didn't bring my X-Rail. So this is on me. Here's the deal. The X-Rail case is quite large.

44:08Let's talk about airplane etiquette really quick. No, I love it. I'm just saying it's quite large. So when you go onto the airplane, you're allowed to bring on one, of course, overhead bin type bag, and some of that slides underneath. Now, here's my dance. I'm dancing with a pair of X-Reels. I'm dancing with my wallet, my keys, my cell phone. I'm dancing with, you know, a little bag that has my Switch 2 whatever. What is the bag that goes underneath your seat that is ready and grabbable that can hold my X-Reels? That's my backpack. My Switch 2. You're putting a whole backpack underneath it? Yeah.

44:41Nah, I like the leg room. I can't have a backpack. That's too much. I put my feet on top of all of it. You slide your feet like on top of the backpack. Yeah, I snake around it. Yeah. You got a great snap. I mean, it works. It works. Because I have the dot bag. You know what I mean? Like the NBA players with the little bathroom bags. That fits my extra battery, my phone. But then I put the X-feels in, and it's too much. Because I have my steam deck in my backpack. Got to have the steam deck. I have my bottle of water. You know I got three bottles of water. You have seven of them. You know what I do?

45:14I get the airplane plastic bag or the airport plastic bag because I get the three bottles of water. And then I just shove everything inside of that, put that underneath the chair. But nobody wants that. Nobody wants that. Adam Vision also resubscribed for six months in advance. Thank you, Adam. Very, very generous of you. Appreciate the support. I want to shout out a couple people saying, do the X-Rules work on the Switch 2? I thought they didn't, like 8-Bit Louise and Funktime. Yes, they do. They don't natively, but they make a little battery pack power transfer thing specifically for the Switch 2 where you plug into the Switch little battery pack and then the other one goes into the Switch.

45:57So you kind of have like that middle ground because it doesn't power itself sort of thing. It's kind of annoying. I haven't told you this story. I almost missed my first official flight. I actually almost missed a flight. Like a work flight? Yeah, a work flight to BlizzCon. No. First time I've ever almost missed a flight. Like actually close to missing the flight. Why? Get this. So I go home. I get ready for the Uber. I'm dilly-dallying because now I got that TSA pre-check. I got that. You signed up for it. Oh, I've had that for like two years now, three years. I'm living well, right? But here's the catch.

46:32I'm getting all these people. They're doing the TSA pre-check challenge, right, where it's like you don't got to show up that early. And I'm like, you know what, Mike? Every time you go on to SFO, it's one minute on the security. You're going to be fine. Yeah. Flight is at 140 p.m. I call the Uber at 1 o 'clock. He's there at 107. It says we're going to board at 120. Flight's at 140. You're good, Mike. The Uber driver is the slowest driver I've ever been with in my life. I'm starting to grip. I'm worried. That's it. Because he's going, Andy, he's going extra slow. That's one of the variables that don't really count.

47:08And I'm like, oh, shit. So then. You didn't hit him with a. Hey, I'll give you an extra tip if you... I was too afraid to say that. I was too afraid. You told a guy that in LA. I know, I know. We were going to the 100 Thieves party. 100 Thieves matters to me. At the 100 Thieves party, you tell the Tesla... Is this one of those Tesla, the turbo models? How about a couple of hundred bucks you get us there in time? Guy drives as slow as possible. He drops me off at 123. Boarding has begun. I get through security. It's 128, Andy. I run to the gate because it says on my phone they're on final boarding.

47:45I'm the last person on the plane. They shut the door at 1.30, Andy. What did you do? I mean, I was on it. I couldn't believe that they shut the door at 1.30. I thought I had a little bit of playroom there. Yeah, I know. That's getting way too cute with the time. Too cute with it. Because I, you know, I like to kind of cut it close. I don't like being at the airport for a long time. I don't want to sit at the airport. Yeah, I see it as a complete waste of time. But I still get there early enough because here's the thing. I don't want to be near the end of the boarding stuff because I'm usually like boarding group two because I have the credit card or whatever.

48:24And what's wrong with boarding at the end? You won't have overhead room to put your suitcase. See, I just don't like being on the plane for that long. I'd rather board last and not sit on that plane. I had to on my – on one of the flights I recently took, I had to wait for the suitcase because – You gave them the bag. They had to put it underneath the glass. It was a work trip that I did last week that they – they didn't book me United. Yeah. They went with something else because it was quicker. They were like, we don't want you having a layover. Okay, that's fair. That's fair. And it was one of those where they booked the flight for me, and I'm like, oh, man, I never really fly American.

49:04But, you know, I'll figure it out. It's a new system. It's like a new app. It's like a new relationship, Mike. It's like, what are your rhythms? What jokes do you laugh at? I get it. And it was one of those where I was like, I don't know, boarding group 12 out of 12 or something. It sucked so bad. And I'm walking up there, and they're like, oh, we're going to need you to check your bag. I'm like, fuck, man. I hate waiting at the stupid little carousel. I hate that shit, man. Oh, you had to go to baggage claim. Yes, because they don't let, because they're like, we don't have any more overhead room.

49:38We're going to have to check your bag. I hate that. It's a little tiny bag for a reason, you know? Yeah. Fucking sucks, dude. Damn. Yeah. What are we doing right now? Final story. Talking about video games, man? Pretty good show so far, I'd say. Story number five. Minecraft Dungeons 2 Review Roundup. I had a very kind of weird disparity here. I haven't quite seen this, Mike. This may be the largest spread of points. Correct us. Kebabs, get on this. Let us know. KDG, where you at? Yeah. Somebody get on this. Because usually when a game comes out, Metacritic, 84. Yeah. OpenCritic, 86. So it's moving right now.

50:19Or it's always like a quick, it's always a close thing, right? Minecraft Dungeons 2 is on an OpenCritic score of 85 and Metacritic of 76. That might be one of the largest spreads I've seen between both of these sites. I'm kind of surprised by that. Did you play any of this, Mike? I've played about three hours of Minecraft Dungeons 2. We're going to play with a developer tomorrow and then Xanth and Joey on Wednesday. So you're going to get a little kind of afternoon jam-packed Minecraft Dungeons couple streams. Greg is excited for this one. He's stoked for it. Of course, Joey likes Minecraft Dungeons.

50:54I like Minecraft Dungeons. So we're ready to jump into this one. Nice. Hell yeah. Travis Northup from IGN gave it a 6 out of 10, which, again, 5 is mediocre. 6 is just like, it's just above that. It's below good on their scale. Minecraft Dungeons 2 is a shallow ARPG that provides a few evenings of mindless dungeon delving fun, but not a lot beyond that. Aside from the new Sift Realm, which has some cool new ideas and creatures to admire as you and your friends carve your way through it, there's just not much to make this sequel stand out. makes poor use of Minecraft's iconic world feeling like little more than a skin slapped onto a generic Diablo-like with a bare-bones story and skin-deep hack-and-slash combat.

51:37We got Thomas Francesi from Game Informer giving it a 7.25 out of 10. Minecraft Dungeons 2 proves this spinoff franchise gets out on its own and improves with subsequent entries at a time when Xbox is refocusing on its biggest IP. There's plenty of room to expand, improve and let me reach that end game feeling of satisfaction much sooner though right now minecraft dungeons 2 is simply a straightforward entry-level action rpg and a dom layton from the six axis gave it a an 8 out of 10 minecraft dungeons 2 is a perfectly tuned sequel taking everything from the first game got right and expanding revising and improving on it is it one of those that you would say drop everything you got play this right now mike or is it just simply two-packed of a season.

52:25Two-packed of a season for a lot of our audience, I think, and what their gaming tastes are. But I would say if I had my two kids, Telluride and Alpine, and they wanted to play some Diablo-like experience. What were their names? Telluride and Alpine. Alpine Glow, AG, we call her.

52:46What's happening? What do you mean? That's their names. When? They had a recent name change probably about nine months ago. Felt like River Rock and Billy weren't strong enough. Am I hallucinating? What's happening? Yeah, I mean, people know. People know. I don't think people know. And so I wouldn't say this is like a jump into right away, but it did feel fun to jump back into the world. It is just a nice top-down ARPG. I think it's pretty basic. I think Travis Northup probably is more on the side that I would err on, But, like, for me, it's like I was just happy to jump back into more Minecraft dungeons, be lost in that world, kind of smile a little bit.

53:28If I had kids, I would definitely be playing this with them. I love that. And the new world. Did you see this announcement? No. They're bringing a fourth biome to Minecraft. It's going to be a big deal. First time. Wait, like the real Minecraft? 16 years. Yeah, yeah. Nice. Yeah, yeah. They just announced that. Big deal. This sift area, you get a little taste of it here in Dungeons 2. but it's coming to the real Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition. That's awesome. Yeah, it's a big deal. That's pretty damn exciting. Yeah. All right. That is a pretty big deal, Mike, but I'm tired of all that big news.

54:02If I wanted something smaller, say the tiniest news I need to know about, where would I go? Andy, I'd take you to our last story, the Wii News Channel, where we cover you. We cover all the small news items you need to know about.

54:18GTA 6 is Game Informer's next cover story. Shout out to Game Informer for doing the damn thing. Beautiful cover. Great artwork. Looks good. Looks good. Dozen new screenshots on this article as well. I'm excited to get mine in the mail. I'm getting all my Game Informers. I love them all. Oh, that's nice. Like my own children. From IGN. And Insomniac Games has published a new Marvel's Wolverine update that adds an option to turn off the controversial scent trails for collectibles. Oh, okay. New little update right there. Sure. You going to give that a shot? Yeah, I'll jump into it eventually. I'll beat it over a quick weekend.

54:59I think it's like just longer than it needs to be though, right? Isn't it like closer to 20? Isn't that like all of these now games where it's like the reality should be they should be 12 hours. But I feel like the buyer's look and thought on it is, if it's 12 hours, is it justifying the$60? Do I want it to be packed for$20? Right. And I think that's where we get into these things of like, that game should be 8 to 12 hours. Bang. You're in, you're out. Fun story. Good enough that combat doesn't sit there for too long. But I think the issue is, it's like, buyer's perception is, if it's eight hours, then why am I spending$70 on it?

55:41Maybe I'm wrong. Which I get, but I feel like I get that a lot. I get that, but it also sucks. That now all of a sudden it's got to be fucking fluffed up to 20 hours? That it's a... Well, stop charging$70 and$80 for these games. That it's a content, like, not quality thing. Like, we want quantity over quality now. Well, when it became$80, yeah. Now I want more than just 8 hours, 12 hours. We really need to go back in time and adjust the way games were being charged. There was a moment where it got out of hand. We got kind of lost. We started to dabble. It was like$40 titles. I'm talking back in the day when some games were like$100.

56:32Yeah. super nintendo and that's just how it was and games have only gotten more expensive to make and they've gone up 15 to 20 bucks in price over the last 30 years or so and we look at something like a fucking movie that used to spend seven dollars to get a ticket for and now it's like, oh, the Odyssey made$1.5 billion. It's like, well, yeah, it's$29 a ticket, dude. That was$30 to get in there. That's why. And that's a three-hour experience. Everything's just so backwards, man. Everything is so fucking backwards. It's crazy. Order of the Seeking Star has already been nominated for Best Indie Game in the Golden Joystick Awards.

57:21Jonathan Blow tweeted, Hey, cool, Order of the Seeking Star comes out in mere two weeks, but we're already nominated for Best Indie Game in the Golden Joystick Awards. Oh, how is that possible? Isn't that breaking embargo? Is the embargo up? Did I miss this? Spoilers, people like the game, I guess. Okay. From Monster Vine, Strange Scaffold has announced something is wrong with the library, a haunted book sorting simulator launching for PC via Steam this fall. People are all about this shit right now. People love these. They like the puzzle games where it's just, here's a thousand books on the floor, go fucking pick them up.

58:02But Zalavir may have made the one that wasn't just vibe-coded with Claude. Because it's just anybody fucking with the subscription to buy the amount. Like, anytime I see a discussion on Twitter of like, well, I use my credits for this and that, I'm like, just go fucking, go jump into a volcano. Have you seen the one where now it's find the needle in the haystack? Yeah. There's just like a thousand hay pieces and you just slowly move through them all. And we're selling that. We're such a joke. We're a damn joke, man.

58:37The trailer for that, Roger, was showing a bit of. And you shelve hundreds of real books in a library haunted by blood and meat. A spooky narrative organizing similar by the studio behind I Am Your Beast. I can't wait to fucking play these games. I'm one Tuesday away from jumping into these kind of games where you just pick up the books. What does that mean, one Tuesday? This is like if I was free from all these other games, I would be playing. Like, I played Dig a Hole, and that game was amazing. I thought you were going to say, I'm one Tuesday. I was like, well, that's tomorrow. I'm one fucking Tuesday.

59:13Abandoned is back on the PSN store with a 2027 date. Just a Tuesday away. I'm a Tuesday away from playing some of this bullshit, bro. I thought you were going to say, like, I'm one crash out away from just playing this. No, it's a positive.

59:36Abandoned back on the PSN store with a 2027 day. This thing is back in our lives to haunt us. Abandoned news, that game that wasn't a game that we thought was a Kojima game at one point. it really is like that snail that will always if it touches you it'll kill you and it's always following you no matter where you go it really is like that did Gavin Free create that by the way I know Gavin is the first time I heard of it on the Rooster Teeth podcast that came up with the snail chasing you yeah and I don't know if that was something that he created or if he just posed the question but it like it broke containment and it's just like a common thing that people bring up now.

1:00:18I mean, it's a fun what if. It's a fun what if. Fun little what if right there. And calcs has been delayed to January 21st, 2027. That game's got like a little, it's got like a cel-shaded art style, I believe. Interesting. I hear calcs, I think calcium. Me too. Calcium. I think of the same thing. I'm one Tuesday away. Fucking Tuesday away. I'm just burning it down and playing another book pickup simulator all night long. Let's get to kindoffunny.com slash you're wrong to see what we got wrong in the show and we'll also get to some super chats. I don't know if I can get to you wrong because it's signing to your account, but...

1:01:02I got it. Yeah, you'll have to look that up from a big dog. Let's see. Anonymous writes in and says, X-Shield doesn't actually sell a Switch 2 product. They canceled the release prior to shipping it, but after they handed it out to reviewers, and influencers. Oh, you're telling me that puck never finally made that to the public. Oh, they canceled it. Double check that. Mike, that might be something we can sell for big bucks at the Mike's Import. Which, by the way, I'm looking to partner with you. Do you have some shit that you'd like people to take? Yeah. Wow, Andy has some shit that he would like you to take, Chad.

1:01:34Yeah, if you come to Kind of Funny 100 because I did propose a partnership. I am ready. I'm ready to partner. I'm ready to take your shit if you need me to. Do I get first dibsies on your shit, though? so that it could be a top 100 2027. I want this shit. What kind of shit you got? I said I want in on the take my shit and pour him in accordance with Andy stuff as well. Okay. Yeah. What do you got? What do you got? Can you give us a tease? What can people expect from the Andy side of it? I have a lot of size mediums natural rifle shirts that I, that like never fully went into production, but they were just tests.

1:02:11I have a lot of those. Okay. A lot of size. And I always take them to, I always take them to Salvation Army. It's a great place. Salvation Army has gotten so much Nitro Rifle. Wow. Like an insane amount. But I have a lot of Nitro Rifle t-shirts. Okay. I have a lot of random gaming things. Yeah, like what kind of gaming things? Like controllers. Okay. Let's see here. A lot of like little collectible things that maybe it's like at one point you had a very prominent spot on the back display. but now you're kind of... Have you thought about me and Nick coming into HTTNF your room and we'll give you more back wall display areas?

1:02:54We can make that happen. I still think you should do the golden portal wall from Elden Ring Games and Dark Souls, the fog. I think that shit would look cool in your background because people who know would know and they'd be like, Andy's such a... He's a Dark Souls guy. How would I get that made. I bet you we can find it online. It's a big ass screen. Which, by the way, I hate screen. I was thinking it's like a tapestry. This is a message that I would love to get clipped out by anybody watching and listening. Because we're about to end the show, but I gotta take advantage of this platform to say, if you're a cosplayer and you make stuff, if you're crafting things, I want to be Dylan Faden for Halloween.

1:03:40Ah, yes. That thing he wears, the poncho slash windbreaker slash anorak, but it doesn't have, it has short sleeves that aren't really sleeves. That thing is like just a thing that makes no sense in the real world. They make one, an official one, Mike, and it's$720. Oh, you can swipe that card! Swipe that card, bro! I just need to like, if someone could help me make that, I'd pay for you. I just don't want to pay$720. It's like a crazy amount of money. He'll pay half.

1:04:18Man, that sign was just a lot smaller than you did. It really was. It was just smaller than I thought it'd be. Let's get to some more Super Chats before we end the show. A lot of people saying R.I.P. the Bastard Pac from AEW. R.I.P. from Phantom Driver and Resolute. J.B. Bonifacio with a$5 Super Chat. The West Incursion Zone in Control Resonant is giving goatee vibes. Yeah, dude. Yeah. A lot of people talking about goatee vibes for this game. I'm impressed. Yeah. That's my goatee. It's easily my goatee right now. Let's see if we have any other ones.

1:04:59Andrew Button says, Normal people don't want to spend a fortune for a short game when we only get a couple year. It's tough out here. That's right here. 100%. Yeah. I'm not disagreeing. I'm just saying, like, we want more bang for our buck in video games when in movies it's a completely different thing. And one costs way more and requires a lot more to make. Like, and I just don't know how we got there is what I'm saying. You know what I mean? I get it. Like, if I go back in time, I would make movies just more expensive. You know what I mean? Because it's like, you know. I mean, I'll tell you what.

1:05:34A two-and-a-half-hour movie, you're going to spend, you know,$18. I rented the Dino movie for$20. I was going to say, the direct from cinema movie market right now is very expensive. They're like, here's the deal. You could rent this for$24.99 or you could buy it for$30. $25. And you're like, fuck, do I have to own? Should I be owning Last House on Oak Street? Like, is it that worth it? And you're like, for$4 more, clearly I'm going to buy this shitty movie. And I keep buying all these movies, you know? Yeah. Because why would you rent it for 48 hours when for$3 more or whatever, you can just buy it?

1:06:10And it's like, am I ever going to come back to this library? No, because one day Amazon's going to announce all of your movies are gone. And you're going to be like, well, you know what? Actually, I was never watching that. I'm like, I get it. I totally get it. You know what I mean? It's like when Microsoft tells me all the Xbox movies are gone forever, I'm like, you know, I bought a fair amount, but I was never watching them on Xbox. So I get it, you know. It's just so real. There's so many great games out there, everybody. It's so real. Support the game. Support the things you love before they go away forever.

1:06:42Mike, it was a good show. Thanks for hanging out with us. It was a good show, man. Remember when we were watching that last house on Oak Street and the dinosaurs showed up and fucking Obi-Wan was there? Dude, bro. Obi-Wan and goddamn Anne Hathaway. I wish I had a camera on me and my dad watching that. Because we're just like, oh, shit, there goes the leg. Oh! And it was just like, oh. What a movie. Whoa. Like that was great. I like that movie a lot You know when they did the weird camera thing where they were all in the house talking with each other They're really down they love that they were doing the weird camera thing I tried to do that for the buzz and Roger quickly shot me down.

1:07:15It requires two cameras Yeah, I wanted to do something fucking freaky weird Roger was like I don't have any time for this I Am not trying to do that weird camera technique I told Mike that it's two shots. It's one shot with a lot of depth of field. They got Anne Hathaway's face so close to the camera. Yeah, yeah. They love doing that shot. That shot was like the whole movie pretty much. But like a lot of feathered dinos. A lot of feathered dinos. Can we rank some of the dinos? Sure. How about those turtle dinos? Those are cool in the middle of the street. Yeah, in the middle of the street. I've never seen a turtle dino like that.

1:07:54They don't get prominent love, the turtles in dinosaur movies. The Allosaurus was pretty damn cool. That long neck? No. The Roller-Poly hammer ones? No, he looked like the T-Rex with the horns. Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay. No, I think I got that one wrong. T-Rex with the horns. Yeah, yeah, Allosaurus. I was right. Yeah, yeah. So it's kind of like Carnotaurus is, I believe, what I was looking for. Carnotaurus, okay, yeah, yeah. Has little horns on it. The Carnotaurus, yeah, he's the main daddy. A lot of feathers on it. Saw a couple of Stegosaurus horns here and there. A couple of stegosaurus. We saw an alligator.

1:08:29Yeah. And a snake. Those are. Oh, the snake was terrifying. Dino movies really hold back on the giant snakes. I'm glad that they gave the snake some love. Dude, that was awful to look at. Because we know the snakes and those lizards and alligators, they're definitely prehistoric creatures. And it's like we didn't. Jurassic Park doesn't have giant snakes. Dude, that was terrifying. That was a good one. They did a good job. That was a scary-ass callback one. When that motherfucker came back. They did a good job. Oh, God, it was so gross. Yeah. Everybody, thank you for watching this episode of Kind of Funny Games Daily.

1:09:02Up next will be the very first Witcher cast starring Greg Miller and Blessing Adria Jr. And Paris Lilley will be joining the Witcher cast. Get ready for a month-long adventure. I'm excited to see it. Yeah, yeah. They're going to have a lot of fun with this. Been seeing a lot of clips online. I got to boot that sucker up. Looks real good. I'll tell you what. It looks real good. Witcher cast Wednesday on a Monday. What do you have left on that? Anything? Can you go back and enjoy it, or are you just going to do it again? What are you going to do? I'm just going to— You going to save any DLC for it or anything like that?

1:09:37No, I'd already beat the game by the time the— So you're fully done with The Witcher. Yeah. So now it's like a clean slate to come back to. Yeah, the only things that would be out there for me to go back and experience are all the tiny little question marks on the map that are— They aren't big story moments or anything like that. Yeah, just super small extra things. Appreciate y 'all watching, everybody. Thank you for hanging out with us. Remember, you can get the Kind of Funny Patreon on patreon.com slash kindoffunny or youtube.com forward slash kindoffunnygames. Gets you the show ad-free. And speaking of ads, we're not going to tell you about this process because we already did that.

1:10:12We appreciate y 'all hanging out with us. Enjoy the games cast. Enjoy the stream afterwards where Mike is playing Mina the Hollower. You like that game. I love that game. He likes that game. We'll see you all next time, gamers.
