3:12Blessing Adeoye Jr.:do you think they announced it because i'm monday monday you think it's going to be one of the ones we're doing it tomorrow doing it tomorrow you know what fuck it five minutes before no not again not again in five minutes we're about to rock your fucking world that's just their new policy we're like we're only announcing directs and then doing them right in the next 10 minutes or it's a bust we're not doing it ever yeah that's scary it is so of course we're gonna be talking a lot about that nintendo direct today uh because of just how crazy our schedule's been with everything uh we We are going to cover our Nintendo predictions here because we don't have a space to do a predictions episode in the next couple of days.

3:46So we have kind of the right crew to do that here with me, so I'm excited to get into that. But before we do, bless, how are you feeling about the state of play?

3:54Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh, yeah, I'm feeling pretty good about it. I rewatched it when I got home last night. I watched a lot of it, too. Hell yeah, because I just wanted to feel like I wanted to see what were we overhyped? Right. Were we like, was I feeling the excitement coming off of just, oh, you know, a bunch of new trailers? And so I'm excited and all that stuff. What does that say to play actually good? And rewatching it, I'm like, oh, no, yeah, this is actually good. It's so funny because I'm even on the other side. I don't want to say were we under hyped because, like, I ended up giving it a nine. And I was more like, I stand by that.

4:22And I looked at it. I'm like, yeah, I definitely do. And it's mainly because, and I always say this, showcases aren't just about new game announcements. They're also about giving us the answers we need. We got, like, eight release dates yesterday for games that we were looking forward to and wanting to know when are they coming. And most of them were good answers. Tomb Raider getting delayed, not the best thing. But even the other delay that we got, Phantom Blade Zero, not that bad. Getting that delayed into October, probably a good thing for that game, given what September's kind of turned into already.

4:52And I want that game to get as much polish as it can take. Because I feel like that has potential mega hit written all over it. But it also could be just a buggy mess. 100%. Or it could also come out next year.

5:08Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. and like that's my thing with with the release dates in particular i'm kind of in a place where none of these release dates are real to me until we get a lot closer to the september october thing like we talked about yesterday during the show i think by the end of this week let's say by the end of next week we're gonna have so many release dates for september and october and i don't think half of them are gonna stick because they're gonna look around and go we can't release around 100 other games yeah i'm looking at it though like even with what we have we'll see after summer game fest and xbox but like i don't think that that end of september thing actually steps on each other's toes too much okay i think just genre wise platform exclusivity wise like where it all kind of actually falls specifically now that phantom blade zero is a month later like i think that most of those will actually stick to their um their the calls they made kev can you bring up the tweet from from chuge ex here we were talking about this yesterday yeah but to see it visually is very funny yes we'll be interesting to see if this looks the same by the end of the week and this is a calendar of major game releases in november 2026 and currently there's just nothing yes the only six well the only you know the key word is major the only major game release right now happening in november is gta 6 i think i read on the game informer calendar there's like two other games one of them is like a gothic remaster i forget what the other one was like an indie game that none of us had heard of but then yeah you look at october september and it is a lot of these games that we're talking about you know and as we go as we go to go about it we're going to talk about our predictions for nintendo direct i'm sure i'm sure a game here or there will land in november from from off of that actually some big ones yeah but then we're going to talk about summer game fest and xbox and it's like when's gears hit things got to go somewhere yeah when are these games going to land and so i think that's going to be really interesting that said another thing what re-watching the state of play let me tell you that god of war 20-minute gameplay segment hits way better the second time.

7:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:The first time, it was amazing, just for the surprise of, oh shit, it's God of War, oh shit, we're playing as Fae, all these things that we've heard rumors about, but it's cool seeing. Watching it again and getting to just focus on just the details of the gameplay, I wanted to hold the sticks. I wanted to play the game. And that game, I think, feels way sooner than you think. I know. I mean, that's what Shryer's saying, but also, we got 20 minutes of uninterrupted, okay, I'm going to put it in quotes for y 'all, gameplay. yeah fucking losers have you played a video games or have cinematics if not more have you played god of war before like the first one the first 20 minutes of god of war 2018 is the same exact way come on um but yeah no re-watching re-watching that i was like man i really want to get my hands on this game and i feel my prediction all throughout there my steph curry shot from half court april okay yeah me and you are in the same wavelength yeah april 2027 spring 2027 is the plan will it hit it we'll see i think so yeah i think so i i am right there with you which makes me wonder damn how long is it going to be before intergalactic because i don't think you put those games out in the same year but they could and playstation think about it yeah they've done this shit before you don't put out god of war and spider-man the same year yeah you do you don't put out ghost of tsushima and last of us that was a different month after each other because like i think a spider-man and god of work can come out the same year but a god of war and last of us i don't think they're the biggest hitters that they yeah playstation has like when you want to talk about critical conversation those are two game of the year winners yeah and so like i feel like you're getting in the way of yourself by going this game that we know is probably is going to be in contention for game of the year we're putting out the same year as another game that will be in contention for game of the year spider-man of course sales success it'll be in categories but like you know what is the game of the year in that conversation amen man uh we're going to talk a lot more about your hot takes on playstation stay to play on the games cast after this episode uh but for now if you're watching live be part of the show by super chatting on youtube.com slash kind of funny games what are your nintendo direct predictions we're going to assume that this is real i believe it i believe we will be getting a direct next week so oh yeah for anybody questioning it like hey things might not happen but like we there's enough evidence here enough of the right people saying it's happening and we also it is it just makes sense they have to at some point talk about the rest of what are the stats when we go back the last few years nintendo directs in june is that consistent it's hit or miss mainly just because of last year the switch 2 came out in june so that's true that direct we got the big april showcase from them right uh when we were in new york and then the uh there's been the pandemic here we didn't get it we got paper mario origami king just like tweeted out right so yeah there's little consistency but in terms of every year except for 2020 i want to say there was a big general nintendo direct that's going to talk about the rest of the year yeah and we're in that point right now last year's was april just because of the system launch so okay um yeah feeling good about believe it um we couldn't do this without our producers on patreon.com slash kind of funny so thank you carl jacobs of makeup buster delaney the psalm 20 and lax nomad you really are the best of us but it's time for oh no for now let's begin with what is and forever will be the roper report it's time for some news thank you we have five stories today

10:26story number one a nintendo directs reportedly coming next week just after summer game fest this comes from chris sculligan at vgc nintendo will reportedly broadcast a new nintendo direct presentation next week that's according to reliable insider nate the hate who claimed in his latest YouTube video that the showcase will take place soon. When quote we're in the month of June and expectations are there will be a direct in the near future. Do those claims have merit? When will Nintendo begin to discuss their 2026 plans with us after star Fox and rhythm heaven and Splatoon Raiders? What does the rest of 2026 look like from Nintendo?

10:59We'll be getting that answer very soon. As from what I've heard, the Nintendo director will take place next week, the second week of June. And just to be clear, this is the week of the eighth that we're talking about. So yeah,

11:09Blessing Adeoye Jr.:yeah definitely makes sense definitely exciting yeah i so talking about what we have on the horizon already for switch switch and switch 2 i'll say because i think there's one game announced for switch one which is rhythm heaven groove that i forget if that's only switch one or switch one and two i guess it doesn't really matter either way but you have that on the horizon and then for switch two you have on the horizon right soon very soon but i think don't we have a date yes july 2nd my birthday so june we have yes right yeah june 25th we have starfox right yes rhythm heaven right after that very very right after that and then we have splatoon raiders july 23rd exactly and then we have fire emblem fortunes weave which is the question mark yes date wise i guess starting off august oh you think they announced i think that's in august okay i think so and i think that yes that will be at the nintendo direct okay i guarantee it'll be at the nintendo direct the august part i can't lock in but i would i think it has to get a date at the nintendo direct i think so too but it will be august i think so where's your head at i mean it could be anywhere that's one of those ones where yeah any time between i'd say august and could that fit in november i'd say it could fit in early november is like okay it's a known quantity it's the biggest title let me take a step back here yeah when we're talking about nintendo directs and how in the switch to era so far they've even covered the system we had that big switch to reveal events in april yeah then it wasn't until september this is when i was in paris uh previewing pokemon's awe that the general direct happened that we got the information on mario galaxy games and um fire emblem yeah and yoshi mysterious book and uh mario wonder meet up at bell bell park pretty much everything that we've already seen released up till this point on the switch to and then beyond that the only question mark we have now is um fireable of when is it going to hit we don't have any other games after that dustbloods yes yes there is i'm talking about nintendo nintendo yeah nintendo which i guess is weird because they are publishing it i think i believe they're publishing yeah so but yeah dustbloods is a another a key one there some information on that is i've been listening to a couple podcasts uh i was listening to this nate the hate podcast on the way to work actually nice it's funny reading this i was like i literally just heard this quote um but last night i was watching uh kit and krista talk about their expectations for summer game fest and it's always fun listening to them because they just have a different perspective than any of us because they worked at nintendo for so long and obviously that comes with so many caveats of they don't work there now things have clearly changed like the way that nintendo markets its games with nintendo today didn't exist when they were there and there's a lot of just different things at play but they still know how things happened then and the way they were talking about nintendo's relationship with keely specifically and how summer game fest and game awards would work was fascinating like you should listen to this okay just like to get the the insight it's nothing that you wouldn't expect based on how we've seen the lack of Nintendo presence, but they seem to believe that we're not going to see Nintendo games at Summer Game Fest.

14:24Okay. But we'll get Nintendo ads, right? There'll be a switch to commercial straight up because Nintendo sees the value of all the eyes on Summer Game Fest, but at least where they were.

14:35Blessing Adeoye Jr.:They want to own the debuts of their games. Yeah, and again, that's how things were years ago, but I still think that we don't have any evidence to the contrary of anything changing, so i wouldn't expect to see duskbloods at summer game yeah is what i'm but okay so let's say fire emblem i'm with you i think august that sounds right again i would say anywhere between august and early november i don't think that's one that your fire emblem doesn't strike me as the kind of game you'd be scared of gta launching later in the month right like i think the early november spot is really interesting as far as what that means for your game because if for any game you you're looking at that tale right when are you going to get cut off in terms of people showing up to your thing because they're not paying attention because tta6 is out fire emblem is such a different game there's two major conversations i want to have about this one is let's start with the fire emblem side sure fire emblem is a sneaky little bastard because i look at it as august just because of how long ago they announced it this would mean that if it is august it will be 11 months since announcement of this game for it to be released if it's anything after that it'll be a full year plus that hasn't been nintendo's mo uh in the last generation okay metroid prime 4 is the one example right uh and even that once it was kind of re-released or re-announced as a real game on switch 2 um it was a much quicker turnaround for release right so i don't think we're gonna get that far with fire emblem the other thing is we we nintendo needs a like big hit game like a big game like their fall game that they're gonna put out i don't think this is the case but it could be fireable that could be that november spot i'd be really sad if that's the case yeah for year two of the switch too but i think nintendo sees that franchise that way and i think that they see this iteration specifically as the a major deal to them i mean if that's the case it has to be at least three houses good right like the way i hear people talk about three houses and how much they love it and that being the people that played three houses put it up there as one of their favorite games of that year fortunes we need to meet that and then some if that's going to be the big nintendo game i'm not doubting that right but yeah i think if that's the case then you're looking at an early november and i think like we'll get into it because i'm sure we'll bring up ocarina on other games because like to be clear i don't think it's the big game yeah i'm just saying that like it It could be.

17:00And Nintendo, I do think, puts Fire Emblem main titles up there in their A tier of game franchises and of games at this point. Even if people don't want to accept that. I do think that they see it. The one step underneath Mario and Zelda. I agree with that. And then Pokemon's always a weird one. So then the next conversation, GTA. Does Nintendo give a fuck about GTA at all? Because I think not.

17:30Blessing Adeoye Jr.:oh i think a little bit i you know gta not coming to switch obviously like it puts them in a different bucket but i think there's a mind share thing that nintendo is aware of and so i think i don't think it's a avoid gta at all cost i think it's a if we can avoid gta like be mindful about it let's not release a game the same day as gta like i but i i think that early november spot that when you brought up the the uh juge uh ex tweet right that early november spot that we see is just empty i think nintendo is maybe the one company i could see filling in that just a little bit i agree i i do think i imagine that the big nintendo game will be the first week if not second week of november yeah um and that'll fill that out a bit and yeah i just i think with that placement like they don't care at all even if it was day and date with grand theft auto like i just don't think think that they really care like that um i could see i could see if we're if you're at a place where you're looking at possible day and date with Grand Theft Auto, I could see you just going, let's go December, right?

18:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And if you don't have anything else planned for December. Yeah, I mean, they want that Black Friday sales, though, right? Like, that's the thing with Nintendo's big titles. Like, they always try to have something going there. So let's move on, then. Like, the guarantee is Fire Emblem. I think the other guarantee is Dustblood, right? Right? Tim, it has to be a guarantee, right? Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't say it's a guarantee. I think likely. I think very likely. But, like, if it wasn't there, If it's not there, I'll be depressed. You got to check on me if it's not there. I think it's more likely that Elden Ring's there.

19:00And I think it's more likely that Elden Ring's there potentially has a shadow drop. Hey, it's ready. And it's good, actually.

19:08Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I remind you, does that have a physical version? I don't know. Because I think that affects the shadow drop thing. I mean, it doesn't have to, right? They can just shadow drop and then put the physical out later. Like they did with Metroid Prime Remastered. Sure. I can see that as imminent. I could see that being another July game, right? Because what? We were talking about Rhythm Heaven for July and then Splatoon Raiders for... Is that also July? I forget where we put... Splatoon Raiders is July 20th or something like that. 23rd. Okay, so maybe... Yeah, I think you could sneak out an Elden Ring remaster.

19:38Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Either that or August. Yeah. It's hard for me to see past August with Elden Ring remaster. The point is I think we get an Elden Ring release date during this direct. I agree. Dustbloods, I'm 70-30 on if it's there or not. Okay. What about you? About the same. I'd say even 80-20. Yeah. I think Dustblood very much should be here. If it's not here, I view that as a disappointment. Yeah. Well, here's the other question, though. It being here, I think, means it has to be 2026. It not being here means it's 2027. Does it need to be 2026? Does it need to be 2026? No. I believe it was dated for 2026, though, right?

20:18Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I think so, yeah. We got a 2026 window, so... Games get delayed. Like, if that happens, whatever. I'm not that bummed out about it. But right now, I have the expectation. They put the 2026 on there. How often do we see? I know this isn't Nintendo developed, but how often do we see Nintendo delay games like that? I feel like it's not been that often in the last generation. Yeah. So I'd be a little bit surprised to see that slip, but crazier things have happened. I mean, my only thing is the only game that, like, I don't even remember if it officially got delayed, but it feels like a delay happened was Elden Ring.

20:50yeah it was Elden Ring right yeah so I'm just like maybe they're just like yo this from software shit it ain't working we can't get this shit to run like we need it to work before we put it out there because it's it's too big of a deal like yeah that is something you can't fuck up yeah I agree with that um Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 do we see it at the direct yes we know it's coming right like I think we do yeah there's like it would just be promotion it would just be like

21:15Blessing Adeoye Jr.:kind of wild to see they just replay the trailer that we've already gotten probably right we need to see some gameplay though when when oh what are we when do we usually get call of duty gameplay i guess that's usually during the call of duty event that happens a bit a little bit later in the year yeah like august time so maybe we don't get gameplay yeah maybe i mean it might just be in a montage right it could just be like their third party everyone at the very least i think yeah we get that let's talk about it what's up i agree has there been legitimacy to any of like the people talking about ocarina remake is happening nate the hate is the person that brought up star war or star fox being brought up in april being released in june he was off by a week of the date announcement and he was like hey that was my bad i should have done that marketing plans can slip going forward i'm not going to be that specific about that stuff that was a bad call on my part yeah but the game is real every the way he described it is accurate and it is coming in summer so he also said he also said ocarina that we're getting an ocarina remake did he say this year i'm pretty sure i'm pretty sure he said this year it was the big game this year we should look into that yeah but i believe it a hundred percent what are your expectations do they close on that is that the big game of the direct that's the thing i think it has to be i you know what plus what's up i hope it is okay i hope that ocarina of time remake is their big 2026 game that they are treating like their big 2026 game because otherwise i don't want it to just be like uh yeah we're remaking zelda it's like no no you're remaking ocarina of fucking time show this some goddamn respect like i want to see as much effort put into this as possible because i feel like there are so many iterations of what this can be i think they're all at least exciting but there's degrees of it let's talk about the iterations because i went back and forth with uh i believe it was me and andy maybe mike was on the show about this of what does an ocarina time remake look like i don't think you go as far as to reimagine ocarina because i think there's such a respect and reverence that both the audience and nintendo has for zelda ocarina at a time so whatever we get in this remake i think is going to be one for one what ocarina was with a visual like a hopefully a big visual upgrade yeah that would be i think the least exciting thing to me possible yeah because we already have that like we have it legally and illegally yes like ocarina of time 3d looks freaking awesome it is the it is literally ocarina of time remastered like the assets are it's the same game but it just looks way better and if you're Somehow, allegedly, playing another ways, what you're describing already exists, and it's freaking great.

24:04So I want to see something more. There is the world where the remake has been thrown around, and this would not definitively not be a remake. But in the same way that the Nate the Hate rumors did sound like Star Fox was going to be a new game in the classic style, but no, it's a remake of 64, right? So some of the details are, like, a little hazier. Link Between Worlds is not a remake of Link to the Past but in a lot of ways it is a reimagining it is a sequel it is a different game but it's taking the same map it's taking the same ideas and elements and style but it looked modern and it looked different they could do that with Ocarina of Time like make an Ocarina of Time sequel for all intents and purposes but it's also just kind of a reimagining does that make sense?

24:51Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I think that makes sense I if you're going as far as like the link between worlds thing I almost wondered do you even call it ocarina of time at that point but also I don't think you would it would have to be something it would be a different title ocarina it'd be something you know what I mean the fuck yeah because my mind my mind starts to wander of like could you remake ocarina of time and then make a sequel ocarina of time I know that's Majora's Mask but if you're following what I'm talking about right like could this be the new ground zero for what this what the future of Zelda is we're bring you back to ocarina that way we can work off of that maybe you remake majora's mask as well and then make more zeldas that are based off of this version of zelda now maybe this is right in front of our eyes in the silliest way possible but hear me out yeah starfox is a remake of 64 they're also adding a ton of lore and story and cinematics and they're they're clearly the renaming this just simply starfox they are treating this as the launch pad for hopefully a healthy franchise for the first time in the history of this franchise right yeah what if ocarina is the same thing yeah where it is a full it's a remake of ocarina but with a bunch of added stuff but looking at that as like going forward there will be new 3d zeldas that are dungeon based yes i yes that's along the lines of like what i'm thinking and i agree with that and i think that could be cool i wonder if that is does that take the place of hey this is mainline zelda now or are we having our cake and eating it too i think having cake and eating it because i would love to have three like three different tiers of zelda or three different pillars of zelda right you have the ocarina or you have the breath of the wild slash tears of the kingdom open world the very systemic all that shit you have the dungeon-based traditional 3d and then you have the echoes of wisdom link between worlds like that style of zelda for me that's my dream world because i love all dream dude yeah i love like both the 3d styles of zelda and i miss a i miss why princess you know what i mean like i miss that game those types of games yeah i feel good about that though but again like i think the ocarina thing's real and i i'm pretty excited for all forms of it i just really hope that it's not literally just it's the exact same game yeah i'm excited for anything like you know i'm with you i but i also even if it is just the exact same game if it's a starfoxification or just a hey we are doing um ocarina time 3d again where we're making even more beautiful assets based off of Switch 2 graphics, I'll take it.

27:16Blessing Adeoye Jr.:That excites me. I'm down for it. I'd want to add it. I want something added. But using the Star Fox thing, it's very funny, actually, because we were potentially talking about the exact same trajectory of Star Fox 64, Ocarina 64, then both of them getting remastered, like very, very nice remasters on the 3DS of Star Fox 64 3D and Ocarina of Time 3D. And now we're potentially talking about very similar style remakes where it's added content added story new visuals rebooting that part of the franchise yeah very exciting very exciting moving on what else is there 3d mario that is a big question so looking at how nintendo's done things they don't really announce the unicorn this is hella far out shit anymore yeah it's usually i imagine that whatever we're going to get in this direct like 2027 at the latest yeah oh i think maybe we get a game that's early 2027 okay like i think any 2027 we're getting they're planning to put out before march next year interesting that's just how they do this right like yes so i'm yeah i feel for some reason i feel like we're we get more like vague here's just the the year but i'm trying to think back to examples because maybe this maybe it is we get the year and then the game ends up coming out by march or something but i can't remember i guess i can't remember like what it was like two directs ago i'm gonna look that up they've been pretty good about just hey we're shooting our shot of three months from now this game's going to be out you know or whatever it is like even in september we knew that yoshi was coming in spring and now here we are it's it's happened so the other thing i want to bring up though is last september the last general direct we got was celebrating mario's 40th anniversary this will be celebrating zelda's 40th anniversary like i bet that that is i bet that we get a logo for zelda 40th that's where the ocarina time thing comes in maybe there's ports of wind waker and twilight princess one or the other maybe a plan for them to come i'm not really sure like because i remember during the mario thing like they announced yoshi they showed the mario galaxy movie trailer and like revealed the name the they announced the two games like they could do this little like rock block of like zelda announcements announcing a symphony tour something like that you know i'd love that yeah i mean what does that look like you know you just listed some of those things but if we're talking about let's say ocarina of time remake being the headline of that are you then just talking about possible tour possible ports like what else is there is there another game so that's the thing this definitely contradicts the point that i'm making and like what i believe nintendo's vision is of how they want to treat the system but i do think there is one exception to the rule and that would be the next mainline zelda game yeah please be excited right when we got that untitled sequel to breath of the wild announcement that was them shooting their shot of like it's coming y 'all it's coming yeah i can imagine them announcing ocarina of time and and them being like hey here's the logo for the 40th can you believe it's been 40 years next year the zelda movie's coming out maybe we get a clip from that it's less than a year away that's a good call what if we get a what if we get the casting announcement like we got from the mario movie that one time maybe i mean who's ganondorf right yeah like who is ganondorf dude who is ganondorf it's probably a no name right i think zelda's really trying to push that which i kind of am here for but ganondorf would be the one that like let's make it yeah steve buscemi or something steve buscemi is ganondorf like it okay i actually now like talking this through i do think that there's something movie wise something movie wise it makes sense i think they'll just mention it at the very least but like maybe give the name of the movie oh that is it just legend of zelda i don't know yeah if it's just legend of zelda then i would think it's a logo yeah which would excite you more just legend of zelda or legend of zelda colon something i want to colon something i think that makes it feel like it's in the same way that james bond first light now that we've played it it's like i think about it not as one of the movies but i can compare it to the movies like where it's like oh it almost feels on equal footing to me of like as a james bond adventure like i want i want that with zelda i want us to like think about that zelda movie do you want a new colon or do you want i want it to be new okay you don't want the ocarina time movie no i think it's the best option to do something that is new because we've done that 15 times with zelda like different characters different links different zeldas different story but the legend is there that's the best chance for the movie to succeed yeah um but okay 40th anniversary something movie related maybe the ports i i don't think that you put those ports out the same time you put out an ocarina but like who the fuck knows the mario anniversary also included the yoshi game so like yeah they can make some they can do whatever yeah weird shit is the 40th anniversary is that like right now is that this year uh i think it is right could you just shadow drop the ports uh yeah but i also think that it's just like uh it's nintendo man they're just trying to like make celebrations to make celebrations like i feel like they would have celebrated the zelda thing technically earlier yeah but like that just didn't work out with their marketing plan it does work out now because i do imagine this is best case scenario for me i'm not expecting this but we get like those little zelda things and then it's like and also we want to announce that we are working on the follow-up to tears of the kingdom we'll have more to talk about that at some point but today we have this to show you and then it's the ocarina time but like how do you phrase that because when you say the follow-up to tears the kingdom like do we we don't think it's going to be in that same world i don't and so if it's a new reincarnation of zelda but it's we're working on the next new mainline zelda i guess maybe you phrase it that way maybe you know what i mean i don't think that they like the word mainline i know yeah that's a tough that in all the franchises but like i that would be i think the most far out there game that we get announced yeah tomorrow i almost would think you well when they i guess yeah they didn't announce the title of tears of the kingdom until later so that's not that's because i was gonna say maybe you just announced the title but i don't think they would do that if it's super far out yeah yeah it could just be untitled zelda project we would know what that means sure yes you know what i mean like they say like hey we're working on the next big untitled zelda project but for now ocarina of time remake and then everyone fucking do you have anything else all there do you want to move on i that's all i got to you no i i wanted to bring up we've gotten a lot of switch one like directors cuts essentially switch two editions do we what do we see do we see any more switch two editions i mean there's no big one is the one i'm thinking of it must be smash brothers smash brothers ultimate right like that is that is the one game that we know is going to make its way to switch to yeah they haven't done a patch update for it yet like that is a game that is going to get a switch to edition it has to there's just money you don't think there were they're sitting waiting on the next new smash brothers iteration why not both here's the thing i pray that we get a switch to edition of smash ultimate same because we will never get that cast of characters again agreed we need the best version of that game to be pushed forward as far into the future as we can get because that it's a once in a lifetime right yeah so we need to maintain that i can see them putting out switch to edition all the characters on one cart hopefully some new characters added to it's gotta be like that would be crazy but like you know that type of stuff that would be to me i think that's the dream a new smash brothers i obviously want as well but i i don't need a new smash brothers right now right like i think i'm willing to wait a few years for an announcement of a brand new smash brothers game but yeah i i think a smash ultimate switch to edition is the right move my prediction is that i don't know if it gets announced here but it gets announced let's say between either now or a september direct it gets announced is my prediction and you get five new characters so i mean again i think we're perfectly aligned because i'm with you like we don't need a new smash right now i'd want one you know and also i want them to start talking about it sooner than later because smash is a franchise that gets delayed yeah like constantly um but smash is also a franchise that every generation is talked about closer to the launch of that system than not.

35:35I think that without fail, like it is a game that, I mean, it was essentially a launch title for GameCube. Like it was like two weeks later. And then Brawl was announced as Super Smash Brothers for Wii before the Wii was even released. Yeah. They were talking about it, right? Before Sakura even knew who was directing it. I love it. And then even the Wii U Smash Brothers, that was like the second year of the Wii U. we're in the second year of the switch too it's a little weird because it started in june so i think there's a bit more wiggle room but like i'm 50 50 on smash 2 smash switch 2 edition being at this direct i want it i think that'd be a very smart move for them to help pat out this year

36:20Blessing Adeoye Jr.:yeah because let me know if you're feeling the same way because what i'm feeling is latest we get a smash something for switch two is i'll say by december 2027 i mean i feel like it'd be by by june 2027 by june 2027 the first two years of the system god i hope yeah i hope i'm going off in december because that's when december 2018 i believe is when smash ultimate released yeah and like i hope it's not this december because just for me personally balancing gta 6 and a smash thing is not good for me yeah um but like i mean a spring smash always great right a winter smash keeps you warm yeah a winter smash keeps you warm um what are we what are we missing because i feel like kirby a kirby in the forgotten land follow-up yeah could be time

37:14there's also rumors of i don't think we really discussed 3d mario oh yeah you're right yeah i don't think we see it here man but also 3d mario it could be very similar to what we're talking about god of war being in april like i can see them putting it out in march yeah i but

37:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:i also think you could hold it right like donkey kong bonanza really scratched that itch in a way where for as much as i love 3d mario i can you can hold it for two to three more years and i'd be okay i think that 3d mario has to be next year has to be next year i think that just the way that nintendo is building the system and like trying to get people on like i think that they're they're playing that game right now of you need enough systems in the wild for people to be able to play the games but the big games are also the thing that sell the systems so i think right now they're making a smart call of like just putting out a lot of the like more b stuff to just satiate the hardcore fans that they knew were going to buy the console no matter what in the beginning and then wait till there's enough out there.

As the Nate the Hate rumors were coming out, a bunch of other rumors were popping up that were corroborating what he was saying and adding stuff.

40:45So this isn't reliable in that same way, but there were rumors that there's two Metroid projects being worked on. Both 2D. Oh, interesting. Super Metroid remake that is pixel-based, which I don't know what that means, and then metroid 6 like a follow-up to dread and it sounds like timing wise the rumor was the super metroid remake would be this year and then the other one later so if we get a super metroid and ocarina of time remake this year that's kind of crazy crazy but also those don't step in each other like that that to me tells a good story of like hey nintendo's putting quality products out on this system but they're not the things that they're worried about not selling
