In short
Kind of Funny Games Daily (June 8, 2026) covers (1) Nintendo Direct officially announced for June 9, 7am PT with Nintendo Treehouse Live afterward, (2) Xbox clarifying its exclusivity strategy (single-player case-by-case; multiplayer/live-service stays multi-platform), and (3) Ninja Theory canceling Project Mara. Hosts: Blessing Adio Gay Jr. and Greg Miller.
Guest backgrounds
No guests appear in the transcript; only the two hosts and mentions of other creators (e.g., Jeff Grubb, Mike Minotti, Aaron Greenberg, Tim).
Key claims
Nintendo’s Direct is “worst kept secret,” with ~50 minutes for the Direct and ~95 for Treehouse; hosts strongly expect Zelda (specifically an Ocarina of Time remake) and Fire Emblem. Xbox’s messaging is criticized as “clumsy” and inconsistent, with concern that restricting single-player exclusives while keeping multiplayer multi-platform undermines Xbox’s “win condition,” especially given expensive hardware.
Notable examples
Zelda Ocarina of Time remake, Fire Emblem (Fortune’s Weave), Persona 4 Revival, Persona 6 timing speculation, Xbox games like Gears (2026), Clockwork Revolution (2027), and multiplayer/live-service remaining multi-platform.

0:34Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yo, what's up? Welcome to Kind of Funny Games Daily for Monday, June 8th, 2026. I'm one of your hosts, Blessing, Adio Gay Jr. Joining me is the legend, Greg Miller. Hey, Bless. How are you? Doing well. How are you doing? I am excellent. It's glad to be back in the office. I said it's glad to be back in the office. Yeah. Because it's like my 10th day of work in a row. I was going to say, how tired are you? I'm very tired. I had some of your luck. My plane home from SGF last night delayed. Of course. I got rolled into the house about 11.45 p.m. Of course, that's how it goes. Up this morning with the dogs with Ben getting back in the swing.
1:05Jen's still at SGF. It's chaos. It's just absolute chaos right now. But I'm good. I'm riding that high.
1:10Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'm feeling it. I'm feeling it, too. It's E3. It's E3. Yeah. No, last night I was like, oh, man, thank God for the weekend. And I was like, shit, it's going to be Monday tomorrow. And the car, it was just like white noise as I drove. And I'm like, yep, yep, I'm in the middle of a convention. Like, I am in the middle of a convention right now. But I'm happy to be here. how was it yesterday you got to go to the xbox showcase i did yeah i got to go to the xbox uh showcase at the academy of motion pictures inside the dolby theater they had their their dome or whatever uh it was cool like you know i on the ride to the xbox uh showcase was telling jen like man i'm actually really excited and then not even about the xboxness of it i was but like more the fact of like i haven't been in a theater presentation press conference in how many years you know what i mean sure covid but even before then we've been reacting so long here at the studio like i really haven't been in the room for the energy of that what was the energy like i feel like xbox would have a particularly unique energy it was good i you know the dolby theater that they have there is the one again this is like where the it's like they have the oscars museum right it's where we were at for the um or you didn't go this year but the after parties and stuff like that and so the theater there is like really you can't buy tickets to go see a movie there is when they screen stuff or do very special things for like academy members or whatever so it's a fucking very nice theater but it's like not soundproof but very soundproof which meant like it was absorbing like there you didn't have that cacophony of energy i feel even when aaron greenberg was on stage before hyping people up he was getting lost in the walls because it was so good but it was still after starving you know being so thirsty in the desert for so long it was nice to have a drink of that hype and the audience was definitely into it definitely into it when they were all given uh xbox uh series x25 sixes or x25s did not did you take one home uh you know what we will talk about that i do have like mike summer game fest swag bag if we remember from kind of feudy mike won that episode and one of the prizes if you don't remember kind of feudy Way better than Game Showdown.
3:16We give away a gift, a prize, each and every episode. And one prize was that you would get my SGF swag bag. And I did include my Xbox paraphernalia in here as well. Oh. So when Mike gets here, the deal is I told him to come up, maybe during Gamescast. I will present him with the bag. He will then go unbox it as a Gregway. That's really exciting. And that's when we'll talk about the console.
3:37Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Remember, if you're watching live, you can be a part of the show by super chatting in over on YouTube.com slash kindoffunnygames. We couldn't do this without our producers over on Patreon.com slash kindoffunny. So thank you to Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster, Delaney the Psalm Twining, and Lax Nomad. For now, let's begin with what is, and forever will be, the Roper Report. It's time for some news. We have five stories today. A Baker's Dozen! Starting with our number one. We've talked about it. We've predicted it. we predicted things that are going to be in it the nintendo direct has officially been the worst kept secret in the world yes uh so badly kept that yes on friday our khd is already our predictions for this showcase um this came from a tweet from nintendo where i was at the gym this morning and usually i get to the gym around like 6 50 a.m i'm on the treadmill and i noticed that it's 7 0 1 you're like something just happened your spider sense my spider senses started taking like i'm like 701 let me go look on i opened twitter there was nothing and i was like it's just not circulating yet people aren't retweeting yet i'm gonna i'm gonna go directly to the nintendo twitter and yes it was right there at 7 did you think about going to nintendo today today well no but what i did learn is that the news came out like 15 minutes earlier on nintendo today the three people who use nintendo today like we know we're all they're really serious about nintendo today uh they tweeted out this morning on twitter join us on june 9th that is tomorrow at 7 a.m.
5:11Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Pacific time for a Nintendo Direct followed by a Nintendo Treehouse Live. The Direct will be roughly 50 minutes long. The Treehouse will be 95 minutes. Greg, I talked to Tim all about this. You did. You broke down all of our predictions. I want to hear... Hey, I listened to that episode. Really, really good episode. Oh, thank you. And I also listened to the Xbox reactions. Really great stuff there. You guys had a lot of great conversations where you, of course, just brought up what you and me had talked about the day before with the two stories. I kept saying that at SGF2. What do you think about Xbox?
5:39I'm like, well, they're a tale of two Xboxes. Story number one, story number two. They're conflicting with each other. I mean, I want Ocarina. I want an Ocarina of Time remake in some form or fashion.
5:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Are we overhyping ourselves? Yes. We're to the point that we've talked about this so much, this rumor, speculation, whatever. There's never been an official leak, right? We've never seen a screenshot. I think at first it was us inventing. We wanted an Ocarina remake. And then eventually Nate the Hate came out. And now it's a report slash rumor. yeah this is happening yeah and he was the same person to say that starfox is happening yeah so there's some credibility if it doesn't happen tomorrow i will be fucking devastated and i will have no one to blame but myself you know what i mean it's not like somebody has been teasing this and saying god mr nintendo ain't like courage power he's not saying that i'm just getting wound up about it on my own but like yeah i'm wound the fuck up let's go you know what i mean even if it was just something else zelda i i i want ocarina i want an ocarina remake this year imminently whatever but like even if it was just something else zelda i'd be even if it's like a top-down td thing i mean that's what i want more than uh you know my that's your kind of the thing that would be like least and not exciting i would be excited for all of you but like if they were like here is the successor to tears of the kingdom and that was their only announcement you guys talked about this during previews very well of like there's room for both right it's the 40th anniversary so you could do here's a remake here's a new top-down zelda whatever and then be like but don't worry we have one more thing and it's the tease of tears the king to whatever the third in that trilogy will just say right yeah and it's not that i don't like those games i enjoy those games i play those games a lot but like it's the same thing we're like watching i'll freak out about persona 6 i'm like god i gotta finish persona 5 like i got you know what i mean like it's like there's a lot of time on the clock but it will be here before you know it where it's like i shit persona 6 is out this year and i still have finished persona 5 i gotta get on that I got to get it's persona summer.
7:36I did see that Chris plant in a, uh, what does that mean? He's saying that this summer, since there's not that many games until September, persona summer, everybody go pick it. Everybody go listen to post games, sign up to post games, the newsletter and all that. Just go listen to post games. One of my favorite, maybe my favorite video game podcast. Go over there and get it. Yeah. Cause he's pushing this and I do love that. And I did think about it. I was like, all right, cool. But then I'm back in that same thing of, do I restart? It's a whole different conversation. This isn't about it.
8:05Blessing Adeoye Jr.:You're not going to replay Persona. You're not going to play Persona. Because remember, I took notes the last time I played it. And I stopped at the same place I always do, where I have to fight the fucking painting with the eyes and all the different things. Ah, that's the first big skill check. And it's just like it's annoying. So I wrote down my notes. So I could open my notebook and go, this was my job. And these are the days I go to. The job. And this is what I'm doing in class. And that's why I did it. I did it knowing it would take me multiple things. So I think I can pick back up on PlayStation.
8:29How many times have you tried with Royal version? Just once.
8:36Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'll say I've given two college tries on a royal version. Okay. I'm going to put a pin in Nintendo for a second because I want to keep talking about this. Persona 4 Revival. Does that do anything for you? This is one of those things I want you to know. Yeah. I'm sure Barrett was the exact same way. Just listen to y 'all do the Gamescast post-show screaming in my box when you're like, yeah, you know, first off, hilarious. You're like, but I'm not Barrett. Barrett would know this, but I'm not Barrett. But you guys, when you were like grasping at straws, you're like, well, I guess it was kind of supernatural persona four and i'm like they were in coffins in persona three they shot themselves in the head in persona three persona three was very dark i think persona five yeah all the person like i i streamed on my own uh yesterday in the late afternoon i was talking about how much persona six even from the very little we've gotten seems to really be uh like pulling aesthetically from persona three and even earlier persona games like yeah the occult like mystical kind of shit like that's all like the origins of persona you know yes so so this feels like a throwback a little bit with the vibe here throwback but also like maybe returning to form a little bit of like what the series was and that's that's i mean i in what everyone is exciting to me you know persona four is what i'm known for i think but persona three was my first persona three oh jesus christ i'm so tired persona three was my first persona right where i did uh playing on ps2 at Jeff Haynes.
9:55Oh, no, I played P4 at Jeff Haynes' request. And then I guess it was... No, I did P3 on disc as well. And then I reviewed it at Fez for IGN on PSP, right? Yeah.
10:05Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I know you love 4Golden. You know, you like PA. I do. But you know me, I'm a horror movie guy. And so the murder mystery angle of it, even though there's a whole television world or whatever, was cool and I liked it. But I did really vibe. Persona, even Persona 4, at times, I felt long in the tooth about it. and this is when i have no life going on you know i mean it's not like i was distracted by a kid or anything like that in persona 3 i never had that feeling persona 3 flew by for me i'm trying to figure out what was going on i don't think i even realized you played persona 3 i think yeah i reviewed one of them okay yeah the other thing i want to ask is of course we have so many announcements from xbox that you didn't get to react to live the vivarium game i think we're all like this gives greg vibes a little bit 100 is that something that excites you yes exactly it's very exciting but when you guys were at the post show debating like oh yeah I don't think it's going to go that dark I seem like it's going to go pretty fucking dark the music being wobbly you could be like you're watching an old anime but I'm like it seemed wobbly in a horror movie sense something's going to turn that corner on us but yeah I was about that what else spoke to you from Xbox in particular man it's an interesting one where Great Showcase killed it but it is such a thing of like man 2027 is looking great whereas 2026 is just like not an xbox year for greg you know i mean like i gears and halo are the reason i probably wasn't an xbox fan for a long time right xbox modern xbox i has has bought the ips i care about in a lot of different ways yes yeah but also has made the xbox play anywhere moves and the handheld moves that have made me oh man i'm in this ecosystem because of that stuff not necessarily the ip and so to get this one that is so halo and so gears and that's great like they look those games look great i just know i'm not that guy you know what i mean i was like cool but 2027 fable like fable bless that fucking fable trailer insane like i fable and i heard you freaking out about it as you should i know you know you're an rpg poppy like myself or whatever but like in terms of the kind of rpgs i like of just that story and then like character and like let's get something to crunch on and chew on like if what they've shown from the story and then what they've shown in the past from like here's all the npcs and what they've shown a little bit of combat if that can all fucking line up that's going to be an all-timer that's like sure all i said it during the thing but like i feel like it's the game looks too good to be true yeah i hope yeah but the fact that what they're presenting on the forefront are the things that are impressing the most when you see the systems of what all the npcs are going are doing and like you know how you can interact with all of them and then have them kind of exist in this town and then you show all the story stuff with hayley atwell as the villain you get to like the scene with the what cave talking or whatever there's like a wall yeah i'm like this is all the shit that excites me as well as an rpg gamer and these are all the things that they're presenting on the forefront so i would hope that these are the things that are going to really hit about it yeah and it's like that was great but again like we're talking about such a 2027 thing where it's like okay sure minecraft dungeons too i'm excited for that but it's like yeah i'm excited for that like me and joey and lauren you know platinum it back in the day on playstation loved it but i was talking to people about it at uh scf like uh yeah jez was like well yeah what class did you or what was your build or whatever and i was like i have no idea like i'm like i don't remember i slashed a lot of things and shot arrows i think i don't and like so it's like that's an exciting one for me but not what i'm crazy about right yeah so it's like 20 27 is the real year whereas this one i look at i'm like okay okay state of decay three come on what are we doing come on no i mean what are we doing oh you know you don't like it i love state of decay i can't wait for a state of decay i can only get excited so many times for a state of decay three announcement trailer like okay when you have a full fucking date i don't this is similar to crazy taxi which is two stories we're about to talk on games cast about because i did get to go to behind closed doors and and look at crazy taxi before i found out there's gen ai in it but like again even that when they were like when it's like we're previewed in a games cast is going to preview crazy taxi world to a right after this i'm on it no big deal uh but when they started the gameplay it was the most like inverse reaction i've ever had where i was like oh my god this looks amazing and also oh my god this isn't coming out soon like this isn't this is they're doing a big crazy taxi this isn't the multiplayer arcade here's a 15 dollar game we're putting out tomorrow i was like ah shit fuck i'm like excited but i'm not playing this anytime soon you know yeah i feel a little bit damned if you do damned if you don't know of course those were of course of course everybody's complaining about blade where's blade why wasn't blade there and for me i'm like it was a similar thing where if they showed blade today they would show another cinematic thing and we wouldn't see it yep like or they would say 2028 and we'd all be like oh but why did you show it kind of thing yeah and so i don't really know where to land on those but it's and we get it right we are students of the game and commentators on the game so i understand how you play this game of you have to talk about the now and the future especially as they try to rebuild this xbox and the exclusives and the brand and all these different things right where it's like okay we need to be looking ahead and showing you we got this stuff.
15:07But I think for us, the people who are every day talking about this stuff every day, it's like, here's more clockwork revolution. It's like, I'm sold. I'm sold. Can you give me a real date? 2027. All right. You know what I mean? Like, it's like, okay, I hope you hit that. Like, I'd be like fable being like February, whatever it was, 2027. Okay, cool. We're ready to rock. Let's go. I really think that game probably would have been ready if not for the GTA. You know what I mean? So it's like, I can wait. And that's a great time period for it.
15:34Blessing Adeoye Jr.:enough about this Xbox. Sorry, sorry. Let's talk about a real company. Let's talk about Nintendo. It's what I think, what I'd like your take on is this. The thing I heard so much about our SGF, Jeff Showcase, and the Xbox SGF Showcase was, yes, we're all excited for it, but it feels like known quantities. We know what we're getting. Do you feel that about Nintendo? Because even though we're all saying Ocarina Remake, Like, even though we're all saying Fire Emblem, I still feel like that Nintendo is the one who can be like, here's this thing you kind of knew about, but didn't know about. Like, you know, for everything on the Xbox, not everything.
16:14Most things on the Xbox thing, we looked at it and went, oh, cool, that game we've heard about, or that leaked, or did this, or that. Okay, cool, that's nice. But, like, it wasn't like, oh! I think the biggest, oh, reaction from y 'all was the translucent Xbox. Because it was like, really was. Tim had predicted it, but we didn't know it was real. So there was, like, a huge moment on that.
16:31Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I think it's a little bit of both. Nintendo's an interesting company because I think they're they're both the most predictable company out there for video game announcements and what their video game slate's gonna be and then also the least predictable like right now Barrett's showing is this Fire Emblem, Fortune's Weave? Yeah, like Barrett's showing this of course we're gonna see another Fire Emblem thing of course they're probably gonna say the release date and we're probably gonna get it for this fall we're probably gonna get, you talk about Zelda Zelda remake, I'm sure if you go back to the me and Tim conversation i'm just out here listing a bunch of nintendo yps yeah guess what we're gonna get some of those announced and probably most of those not announced yeah right but then every now and then they throw a curveball where it's like oh and now here's a fucking kirby fighting game and it's like whoa yeah yeah i didn't know i didn't know we were doing this and so i think for me i am i am excited about the known quantities because i want to get the answers to the dates but i think more so than the other companies i am excited about the things that i don't know specifically it's like all right I know eventually Nintendo's going to make an Animal Crossing, but is that going to happen soon?
17:33Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Are we going to see it here kind of thing? Do we get an update for Mario Kart World finally? We've just hit its one-year anniversary the other day. Will we get Silksome? See, I feel like Nintendo just has the most chance to surprise and delight. Even PlayStation calling the ball with, all right, we're going to have all this Wolverine stuff, and then we're all like, that Fae game will probably, I don't know. it just playstation continues in the next one no playstation continues like we've talked about of like putting out sequels to their franchises and ips right yeah even though and i know it's a little bit different but i do think wolverine like there's the spider-man dna in there so like even before we saw wolverine you kind of felt like you knew what wolverine gonna be and then we saw it is what he is and it looks great but like whatever and same thing for like hey here's and it's like oh it is just in the god of war universe in quotes it's not you know 2d side scroller or whatever isometric hades it's just like she's got a different skill set for sure but it's like okay cool it's more of that like yeah even those things that surprise and delight in that way i feel like nintendo is the one who comes out and like here's a fucking game and watch mario game that makes no sense you know i mean some weird fucking thing yeah like j so i think for me playstation feels like jay-z during his like american gangster to blueprint three era where jay-z for so long can you do a taylor swift analogy to this or weezer uh i don't know taylor switch albums like that but so the jay-z thing right basically jay-z was on top of the game for so long yeah and i feel like he found such a pocket that he kind of became boring like chat what was the album before american gangster i feel like that's actually where playstation's at where it's like okay cool it's just more jay-z he's just rapping he's on beat he's doing his thing but like this isn't exciting i'm not excited about this right for me xbox is like eminem when eminem was kind of fumbling around figuring things out.
19:21Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And for me, like Nintendo is that art. I don't really have a good analogy for Nintendo, but they're an artist that is like, you're kind of just waiting for, they're kind of like Beyonce in a weird way where you're just waiting for them to drop something exciting because you know what can happen at any moment. Okay. You know that when we get to the Nintendo Direct tomorrow, it could be Zelda Ocarina of Time and everybody's freaking out and be like, oh, it's the greatest thing of all time. Okay, you got me. But we're always kind of waiting for that next like Nintendo bomb to drop and you never know when that bomb's gonna be.
19:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:But in the meantime, they'll give you a thing here or there. It's like, cool. Oh, Fire Emblem. That's for the Fire Emblem fans. Oh, Rhythm of Heaven's back. Okay, cool. But then you might get a Zelda Ocarina and have everybody go crazy about it. Shout out to you. Yeah. The Jay-Z specifics lost me, but when you bring Eminem and Beyonce, now I got you. I'm right there. Now I'm there. Perfect. What's up? Another Zelda thing I want, just because, you know, let's all admit, they fumbled the 35th anniversary celebration of Zelda. so i hope that it's not just like a one thing like uh you and tim were saying the other day i i do hope a small thing let's finally get twilight princess on the gamecube um backwards compatible thing for switch 2 yeah yeah i think that makes sense def grub told us it was happening so long ago what twilight princess princess yeah oh well yeah i mean when they announced the gamecube thing it was like one of the games like shown oh you're saying on the gamecube online thing yeah oh i guess i'm talking about the remaster that and wind waker remaster oh the week yeah i don't remember that conversation where jeff rubb was like this is happening remakes coming at this point i i am doubtful i believe that it was being worked on right i don't think jeff rubb pulled it out of nowhere but the question is are they still yeah it was being worked on and they were like guys we figured out the gamecube technology and how to get it to run on switch yeah um so yeah i think for zelda's anniversary that makes sense If I'm getting myself hype, what I want that I don't think we'll get, I want anything Smash.
21:15Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I want a Smash Ultimate Nintendo Switch 2 edition. I want a Smash edition with new characters. My biggest dream that would never happen would be you do Smash Ultimate plus a campaign, like a new campaign, like something that's beyond World of Light that gets you back to the hype of Subspace Emissary from Brawl, where here's a story mode with a bunch of these characters interacting, all that stuff. Never in a million years are I going to get that. But that would be my Nintendo World of Dreams kind of situation. Hell yeah. Hell yeah. Okay, okay. I appreciate that. What else from Nintendo? Is there anything that you're like, I need this on my Switch soon, in the next year?
21:52I mean, like, need or want? Are we dreaming or we're not? Because, like, I need Ocarina. I need whatever Zelda thing they're cooking up. I want that. I'm ready. You know what I mean? Like, we keep looking over at Adventure Zellie in his dumb hat.
22:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. Mina the Hollow and her dumb mouse. You know what I mean? I'm like, I need a Zelda. All right? Don't you dare. We got these two pretenders to the throne and a hat and a mouse. I need, you know what I mean? So I want that. Realistically, I mean, you know, you mentioned Animal Crossing, and of course I get a tingle, but I don't, I refuse to believe that's anytime soon. You know what I mean? I'd always hope maybe for, they surprise us with some kind of updates for New Horizons. Obviously we just had to switch to one at the beginning of the year. I'm not looking at Gift Horse in the mouth with the hotel.
22:33Blessing Adeoye Jr.:At this point, you got to announce Pocopia updates. Right. No, you're right. I think that's the big reason why you wouldn't even do Animal Crossing. now it's like you gotta let pacopia have its legs yeah those were my predictions from uh when we're doing sgf stuff off the wall yeah i bet pacopia does get something and i'd be stoked about that i have been jones to go back yeah yeah um i mean you mentioned the elliot and his dumb hat i i don't think it'll happen but like i'm waiting on the chrono trigger hd2d remake yeah yeah give it to me yeah um let's hop into some super chats of course people are talking kebab says my feed is filled with purple dragons right now really exciting love that spyro's back fire was back aaron lime says incredibly bummed about crazy taxi using gen ai do publishers have ai token quotas to hit or something is there a cultural disconnect on the environmental effects of data centers what's going on copy that slack to me we'll bring it up in games cast because this is obviously going to be a big hot topic there and jeff grubb and uh mike minotti put up a video today talking about this because they got to go do their crazy taxi world tour interview after this news had broke so they had they asked the question had some of the quick discussion over on instagram i want to throw up i have slack to you greg thank you um k zupano says give mike his xbox on the kind of funny games cast in about 30 minutes maybe mike will have come to work and if so he will come out here and we will give him the bag and we will talk about it he's here don't ruin the jokes he's here Barrett shut the fuck up he's here Science Talk Official says imagine if they put that NPC system into the next Forza Horizon I mean what would it serve would be the question is it just to have better looking characters more unique characters because that'd be cool in Forza but really you're just once you're behind the wheel in Forza it really doesn't matter about the characters it is after the races though when my character is celebrating does it not matter because whenever I step out of it, they do put you out of the car.
24:32Sometimes, yeah. I'm like, oh, right. I forgot I made this character look like this. Yikes.
24:36Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Resolute says, love you guys. Thank you for working your ass off. Thank you. Thank you for watching and supporting. Dexter Schwarzler says, had a pretty tough weekend as we had to say goodbye to our dog on Friday. But what really helped was hanging out with you guys, reacting to all the presentations. Thank you and love your pets, everyone. Indeed. Sorry that had to happen to you. I know how much that hurts. But as you can see from the two guys who are finally passed out over there. you can you you you'll find new loves and still love your old loves they're finally asleep because when they sleep in the entire car ride here i'm like oh they're gonna be hellraisers oh yeah and then that little yippy yappy in the beginning i'm like you better shut you shut the fuck up and i you saw what i did i took the belt off and i showed him the belt he did do that gotta learn they know what the belt means uh volk dasher writes in and says do we do we think ninty please don't beat your pets do we think ninty hold back do we think ninty hold oh i see ninty being show for nintendo hold back from releasing this year because of gta actually i can't tell what ninty means in this case uh we can say it's a diff audience but it's still gta 6 year old upwards will be playing i don't know what he's saying yeah it will nintendo hold back on either an ocarina of time remake coming out around november or a fire emblem coming out around november will they hold back yes different audiences all of that stuff yada yada yada i think just my take i think fire emblem you wouldn't put around november but i do think zelda they don't give a shit they're like it's zelda it's zelda i'm the reverse i'm i i like i feel like fire emblem is such a different game from a gta that like it could actually work pretty well in an early November range.
26:19Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Ocarina, again, different enough, it's Ocarina, it's all these things, right? But like, I'm of the mind to just don't make an unforced error. Like, just put it out another time. Like, you don't have to put out Ocarina in November. Nothing's making you put that out in November. Yeah. Nothing's making you do it, but like, it is Ocarina, it is Zelda. Yeah, like, I feel like, well what about ocarina says november holiday black friday nintendo is very traditional especially if they do like early november like that is that would be such a big hit of like i want to see i mean like this is definitely too like they know what they have with this game they know they have this ip i know this is gonna sound crazy in the current i can easily see collector's edition whether it be just a collector's edition of the game slash a collector's edition of the switch where like we bought another tears of the kingdom switch back uh last time around right because of how fucking dope that was.
27:15Do that with a Switch 2 dock and all that jazz. Even though I know everything costs an arm and a leg now. Don't do it. For my own sake, don't do it. How will we feel when there is weapon degradation in an Ocarina of Time? I will punch Blessing so fucking hard. I only bring it up just because Chad's melting down. They want it.
27:35Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I appreciate the person in chat that says Ocarina is bigger than GTA. It's not, but to me it is. real to me and then i'll do one more from mr lazuli gaming says excited to see more persona i'm also excited to see more persona i've been thinking a lot about metaphor v fantasia in the last oh it's crazy that the gameplay loop that they have for the persona games and now with metaphor there's something in it and what i think that is is crack cocaine because whenever i am off of it for long enough there's something inside me that's like let's get back to the calendar back i need to have the decision of like do i want to go dungeon exploring do i want to hang out with the homie and level up our thing and the metaphor of fantasia also had so many gamified elements tied to it all the different skill trees and shit with each of the different um archetypes archetypes thank you like oh man was that crack i'm really excited to see what if like p studio and studio zero have been like talking with each other and to see if p studio has like learned anything from the og persona creators on like what to do with persona 6 because i would love to see more of an upgraded like job system in the more like persona uh traditional style uh loop that'd be sick i can't wait i want to see more i'm very excited to play persona 6 in 2031 um when do you really think you get it late next year really that's part of the leaks like the bunch of leaks that came out everything that we have seen so far publicly confirmed and is lined up with all of that.
29:06And one of the things in that leak was Persona 4 Revival early February 2027 and then Persona 6 late 2027. I don't think it makes it.
29:16Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'm going to say 2029. Yeah. 2029, yeah. I think they're aiming for late 2027. I don't think they hit it. I think they've been working on this game since 2020. I think it's time. I think it'll be 2028. I don't think they repeat the mistakes of Persona 5. and i think that's why it's been such a long time that we haven't heard about this game at all the mistakes being the delay or persona 5 being i i think announced like wait a little too early and then them like repeatedly delaying that game over and over and over again yeah i i would think because that's part of why i'm like oh they'll probably delay because they delayed persona 5 so far um and i also think that like you know persona 5 is still extremely successful despite the delays right like i think when you look back and you're trying to retrace uh what did we get wrong here with persona 5 like sure the delay i'm sure impacted them but at the end of the day it led to them releasing an amazing game and i think they would rather take their time with it as opposed to try and get something out i i don't i don't i just don't trust them i think they've been on a better trust you mother i think they've been on a better track record in the last few years specifically like the atlas wing of holding things close to the chest not revealing things until they're ready and confident of like when persona 3 reload was announced that was also at a xbox summer game showcase right and then that came out the following february they're repeating that here with persona 4 and the year persona 3 reload came out that was early uh that was like february that year and then metaphor came out in like october november later that year so i think they could do it again i also just don't want them to release two games called persona in the same year i don't think it matters because like it matters to me i'm not i'm not maybe not to them it matters to me just plus i don't these are fucking hundred hour long games i don't want to play two of them the same year again i did it with three reload and metaphor we fantasia and almost broke me you've had you've played four right yeah but you're gonna do the remake all the way through or you know reload yeah okay we got him for the uh you know the science of it all You got to see what they update for 2027.
31:20Because Persona 4. Yeah.
31:23Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Persona 4 for a very long time was in my top three games of all time. Okay. I'm a big Persona 4 fan. But, yeah, I just don't want to play two of these in the same year. 33:18Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Story number two, Xbox outlines new exclusivity plan case by case for single player games while multiplayer games stay multi-platform. This is Alessio Palumbo at WCCF Tech. The rumors were true. Microsoft is changing his plan for Xbox exclusivity once again. New CEO Asha Sharma recognizes the importance of exclusive content, but that doesn't mean a full return to exclusive. fans were quite confused during yesterday's xbox game showcase 2026 two games years of war e-day and clockwork revolution were confirmed to be full not timed xbox console exclusives however other games that did not have any announced ps5 version like sata decay 3 and sinua received it during the same stream xbox chief content officer matt booty tried to clarify the new plan in an interview with Gamertag Radio.

34:11Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Quote, we want people to have a reason to get on board with Xbox, a reason to buy an Xbox, and a reason to be Xbox fans. At the same time, we want to reward the players who have been with us for a long time. Exclusives matter, which is why we have Gears coming in 2026 and Clockwork in 2027. But we also want to be clear that our big multiplayer and live service games will continue to be multi-platform. If you have already promised something to players we are going to honor that promise we're going to keep thinking about this going forward and our principle is that when we announce a date we want to announce the platforms too it will be case by case but when there is a release date there will also be a platform decision end quote end quote Greg we talked a lot about this yesterday you did you had a great conversation about it yesterday in the gamescast uh post show everybody go check it out I liked it a lot what are your thoughts here what the fuck man you know what i mean like what the fuck like i feel glasses are off i was wondering if they could hear cole a new person came to the studio cole can't handle it he's got a baby brother to protect he's gotta protect no i know i would say i was referenced because i see in the chat now uh like of all the multiverse ways to do this like that we've talked to death on all these shows this is the most clumsy the most what are we doing like what what are we doing like what are we doing you what are we doing like to recash everything you've said right it's like so when we are mad that gears didn't sell well enough are we accepting the blame because we tried to push them to consoles that they can't buy that are too expensive to go buy or are we going to eat that and say well no that's just because the game wasn't good regardless of how great the game looks or are we going to sit there and say well it would have been, we could have those PlayStation players.
36:00And then for it to be gears and then clockwork revolution, clockwork revolution, such a nerdy ass, Greg bless audience game of like, that game needs all the help it can possibly get. So why put that one in the walled garden in not halo? Like what, what, what am I missing? Even for fable, like when, what just the messaging when the argument has been for so long that Xbox keeps changing what they're doing. To not have the messaging when Asha was like, and I'm pleased in the Gears of War, E-Day is a Xbox console exclusive. And every other single player Xbox game studios game you see will be an Xbox exclusive.
36:45It's just like so half in, half out. I'm trying maybe just to satisfy the angry people on Twitter and the Xbox fan base that think we need exclusives, but I'm doing so at the complete expense of these games. Like I just, I don't get this. And I feel like, again, we've talked about this to death. I've said it many times. I don't envy anyone in the Xbox ecosystem at the company trying to figure this out. Cause I do think they are in a lose, lose, lose situation. Yeah. Back to the games, the final games daily. You and I did before SGF, right? Like story. Number one, exclusives matter. We need to have stories.
37:20Number two, we want to be the biggest, biggest publisher. Those are at odds with each other. And if you want to be the biggest publisher, that is a great goal to set. I think an attainable goal to set and the quickest way to do it. It's like, cool. Everything is everywhere. We are still making project Helix. It will be the best PC hybrid you've ever seen. It will cost a pretty penny, but it will be there and you can plug it and you play it and it will kick the shit out of the steam deck. It's going to be there for high end users, but don't worry if you have a PlayStation, if you have a switch, if you have a PC, if you are part of the diehard Xbox fan base, we will be there for you.
37:57And good news on that. We're introducing this translucent Xbox celebrating it. I'm, I, Asha and bring the price down for this one from the seven 99. It's at the five 99. We're taking a bath on them, but I want you to be here for the 25th and I want you to put blah, blah, blah. Like that's a message. That's a unified message. Instead. It's this disjointed thing where we're back. We are fucking back to every time they introduce a game. So is it everywhere? Is it there? Is it here? Where is it? Oh, we're not ready to announce that at this time We're going to wait for release dates to tell you when it's like What are we doing?
38:29Yeah, that's my question The article said something along the lines of changing its plan And Greg saying, like, we're back to this Is this really a changing of the plan? What is the plan? Tell me what the plan is The case-by-case basis structure has been the thing for the last five years what is the difference here and i'm i'm personally confused of like i don't know i think my thing is
38:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:i can't i can't get upset with this i can't get i can't get frustrated with this i think my thing is that no matter what they do i feel like we always freak out like hey we're we're we're gonna take our things third party we want to we want things to be everywhere everybody freaks the fuck out hey we want to bring everything exclusive oh well your your studios are gonna die okay well we'll have some first party exclusives and then some first parties go elsewhere uh what like i i one of the questions i asked during the stream yesterday was like what is the win con for xbox what's the win condition like what are they what is the plan that they can have where we all go damn that's the one they're killing it and i feel like we don't give them anything and not that we owe him no man i don't know it's good stuff go for it the problem is we don't know the win conditions for them because they won't tell us what the win conditions are and i think that comes from microsoft i think that comes from top down satya and adela just we want 30 return okay i'm gonna do all these things well it's not doing that it's a failure so we're switching everything like it's a manic company trying to chase a fucking bottom line And that's not Xbox.
40:07That's Satya and Microsoft, right? So then you drill into Xbox, and I really do feel they don't have a true north. And so the reason we lambast everything they come out and say is because they just talk out of both sides of their face over and over again, back and forth. What is it? So it's like to be back here and have a chance, a chance to set. This is the path. This is what we are doing. This is so you, the consumer, understand it. They miss that opportunity again. and I feel like that's why they get so much guff from us that's why they get like playstation coming out be like we tried pc and it's over okay cool like I mean like like it love it hate it despise it like you now know the plan and cool we're not doing it anymore and the conversation's dead then right whereas we're back here a literal conversation the x-cast I think the x-cast gen 1 with Alana was having when Phil was saying these kind of things right where it's just like yeah what how i think the i mean i was like i'm not upset and i take the glasses off and run my hand through my hair and everything i'm not upset it's just at the core of this at the very very very very core of this is perhaps no definitely right like the most unbelievable might not be the right word but i'm gonna use it unbelievable so slow collapse of a juggernaut like i know i'm old but that 360 generation man just kicking the shit out of playstation and you know ps3 eventually catches up and yeah yeah but i mean like hearts minds campaign and being the new kid on the block we got this gears game and we got this in the whole online multi and like being like Xbox is doing what Nintendo and PlayStation can't.
41:55And to see them just fumble that in such a way that, like, the only, again, I wish everyone well. I want everything to be successful for everybody. I hate talking like this all the time. The only outcome of this is Xbox, maybe Microsoft, just publishing games. Like, they are leaving the hardware market. They cannot make up this deficit, both because of the decisions they've made and the conditions we live in right now. You know, and I think this is another reason where it's like, on the one hand, oh my God, all the crazy bonehead Microsoft decisions that led to this. On the other hand, just the worst timing in the fucking world for this to happen to them of just like, well, I can't buy chips.
42:34Why can't you buy chips? Well, my parent company is fucking bleeding the earth of all of its natural resources because people want to go to AI and make a funny fucking clown video or a video game called Crazy Taxi World. to it like there's so much in it but it's like all right cool we're going back to exclusives all right cool you can't buy the console and the ones you can buy are insanely expensive so to roger's point yesterday on the show no one's going to do that like you if you're oh man like i sold my xbox and i bought a playstation 5 but i'm a big gears fan gears is exclusive you go and look at this 700 xbox like no you're not gonna do that yeah like so you look at the xbox app on your pc assumably you look at steam because it's still on steam like what are we doing you know what i mean and i just feel like that i feel like we're on a this very interesting inevitable collision course of like there's only one way this ends like you just don't man i i i don't understand internally what they see that they think they're going to be able to turn it around with it's going to be the two thousand dollar project helix that's what's going to flip the script on this and people are going to go I'm back you've proven with these at by the time we get there four to five exclusives you've windowed that I need this thing I don't buy that
43:51Blessing Adeoye Jr.:you know what I mean like I think for me I see it as I wish I could like draw this picture clearly but you see a bunch of paths that are spreading out of like oh I can go this way I can do this I can do xyz thing they all converge back to the same end spot yeah and I think that's a game it's a telltale game right yeah actually that's a really good way to put it where i think all roads lead to what you're talking about and so for me i'm like i don't give a fuck what road you choose like yeah put some of your games on xbox put some of your games elsewhere see i'm sorry oh go for it go for it no you're fine you're fine i mean it's just like the reason i care is that i think they're going down one of the very destructive paths where i think it is oh man gears didn't sell we're gonna shutter the studio lay people off from studio x y and z oh man clockwork revolution this what it looks to be nerdy ass it's not bethesda but bethesda rpg bioshocky you know what i mean like a particular palette of gamer wants that it's not a humongous audience especially just on xbox oh that didn't sell well in exile you're gone you know what i mean like it's like i think that's what happens and i think they are going to continue to tighten the belt and again as they continue to not meet what i think they're trying to set as expectations that is felt throughout their dozens of studios and that's the problem i feel again if we were to say right here either everything is exclusive and we're doing this and this is you've got to get an xbox and we're giving you an option to get in we made more serious s's i don't fucking know whatever or we are just a third-party publisher we want to be the biggest the best xbox film and tv why are we giving out these shirts and hats and then nothing's being said about that we are all about that this is the move this is what we're doing we're I feel like in the same way I'm talking about and comparing it to PlayStation, like we're not a PC anymore.
45:37Like you fucking say it. It's a definitive stroke. We understand it. Not every one of these developers and they're behind closed doors yesterday being asked. So is your game going to be on PlayStation 2? Or is it? I don't know. You know what I mean? Like, what are we doing?
45:51Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Fair enough. Let's move on to story number three. Bloober team announces Star Trek shadow frontier. I have a trailer here linked. Can we live react to it? I haven't seen it. I haven't seen it either. Oh my gosh. We're friends. Not watching things make any friends. Ew.
46:21Blessing Adeoye Jr.:That was another Paramount thing. Oh, yeah.
46:28Almost like that's what Paramount should do. partner with second-party studios not things dark
46:39I can feel myself slipping I think it might be too late beam me up Scotty
46:52there is no coming back from this this time you have to let me go that is not going to happen i'll tell you what if i was a huge fucking dork i would have popped off when they said rogue darren this is rose darren a little bit roe baron i'll be like
47:14Blessing Adeoye Jr.:guys it's roe baron guys what was the other there was another paramount game announced during summer game fest yes but i'm i'm chat what was it i've already forgotten i've forgotten which one that was uh so before we jump into worrying about all that stuff yeah cool trailer and i would have loved it would have been fun to see this in a showcase and not know what it was and then see the uh star trek emblem what i can't remember the the fucking federation emblem and grab it i would have popped that been cool and again even though i'm joking around that i don't know who roe laren is it seems like last road people are shouting about the last road the tmnt last oh i see as a robe laren robe baron it doesn't matter uh i think this looks really cool and you know i like a good bluebird game i don't know if you know the medium was better than that resident evil at that time uh i i'm looking forward to this hell yeah i do like star trek even though i'm not like a humongous this is from the steam page star trek shadow frontier is a mature story-driven third-person action adventure set in the expansive star trek universe after crashing onto a distant planet overtaking by a strange consciousness Roe Laren must survive in an environment that is as breathtaking as it is lethal in true Star Trek fashion Roe's mission is driven by duty and purpose but here discovery comes at a terrible cost the more she uncovers the deeper she is pulled into a corrupted labyrinth where her memories twist in the planet threatens to sever her connection to reality only by solving the mysteries of this strange world can Roe hope to make peace with the demons of her past boldly going into the heart of darkness like never before a couple things i'll shout out is that yeah like this is paramount once again going to another studio that knows what they're doing to work with their ip this is very different from how i forget who it was with me on khd but i think it was me and tim i think we had the impression of oh you're starting your own game studio maybe it was me and you like they have their own game studios okay they do they do yeah yeah yeah they're like that's a bad call don't be doing it that way do this instead so they're also doing this love that which is the smart thing to do um so on the paramount side i guess that's cool on the blooper side damn like another project making moves they did silent hill 2 yeah they did uh or they're doing this now i think they're doing another silent hill remake game as well they're on fire like i believe they have original stuff blooper team feels like prime telltale right now yeah they're just taking on well now remember what killed telltale though was going uh into too many things so let's be very careful there which also worries me when it comes to blooper team but hey if they're doing it they're doing it saw is them what is cool here again if i was a fan like nick who would have popped for this or whatever uh roe laren of course comes from the star trek the next generation and she was played by michelle forbes and michelle forbes will be reprising a role in this cool so that's dope as shit that i do love that kind of fan service of like we're gonna spin off this uh forbes's last return to the franchise came in the third season of star trek picard in 2023 set in the early 25th century very very cool uh just i'm reading i'm sorry for trekmovie.com look at the announcement trailer uh tng that's the next generation era starfleet combat suggests that shadow frontier is set at some point during the uss enterprise d's adventures instead of the picard era but that's not yet confirmed by paramount or bloober team okay and i believe i saw in an article the article i pulled from i think mentioned that it's i even pulled from an article there was an article that i originally saw this on in uh that this was announced for 2027 i'm not seeing it in the trailer or the steam page but some people online will report this just says coming soon so maybe there's a press release or something but i saw a website say 2027 okay so we shall see we shall see story number four ninja theories experimental horror game project mara has been canceled studio head says this is chris scolian at video games chronicle ninja theories experimental horror game project mara is no longer in development the studio had confirmed back in 2020 the hell studio announced that project mara would be quote a real world and grounded representation of mental terror with a developer diary in 2021 confirming that the entire game would be set in a photorealistic apartment little of project mara has been seen since then and in an interview on the official xbox wire blog to promote the upcoming senua studio head dom matthews has now confirmed that it has been scrapped when asked about the third game's heavier focus on action and whether this was a callback to the studio's roots.
51:27Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Matthew replied, quote, I think about it slightly differently. It's not a combat action game. People shouldn't expect that. People shouldn't expect that this is like two thirds combat. We're really thinking about it as being a fairly even split between combat, traversal and puzzle solving. The way I think about it is really about studio potential, looking at our expertise and allowing the team to go and do their best work in this game. And so much of that experience comes from the likes of DMC, Enslaved and Heavenly Sword, as well as the Hellblades, end quote. Matthews then explained that the entire studio is working on the third game rather than a smaller team as with the previous two Hellblade titles.
52:01Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And that, as a result, Project Mara is no longer in development.
52:08Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I don't know if anybody remembers Project Mara, but I remember in 2020 seeing, I think it was like a screenshot of a set of stairs. Yeah. And they're showing it off. That was the biggest thing, remember? Yeah. Like how real we can make stairs look. And we were like, these stairs look so real. It was so impressive. This saddens me a little bit. I know like we never bring up Project Mario of like oh man remember that thing so stoked for Project Mario but I and I kind of expressed this a little bit yesterday I get stoked about Ninja Theory as a developer doing really cool technical shit because I view them as a developer that has really strong expertise on making games technically seeing and sure doing real cool shit with the tech with the engine Hellblade 1 for me was a display of just beauty and the way that that game looks but then the audio system they had with the binaural audio and all that stuff like they merge the sound this is going to sound pre right but they merge art and tech so fucking well and i think they're one of the best at doing that or at least in 2017 when they put out hellblade one i view them as one of the best best at doing that so canceling project mara kind of makes me sad because i was looking forward to seeing how that was going to be the next step of that for them I think what's sad about it right and this is only sad to maybe again the thread you're tugging on that I'm here with you right of like I just want to see them do different stuff I want to see them experiment I want to see them expand right so like that was my thing like I would listen to your reaction to Senua yeah Senua and I was right there with you of this like good on you I'm glad that you're still getting work in this app but it's like after I was disappointed with Senua too and so i was ready for them to move on to something else and try it'd be so to see this and even if it's going to be different x y and z it's like okay but i i that is when i look at i go i'm not excited to play that like that's not one i'm gonna be jumping at and i don't i don't want to read too much into it i don't want to be like very doomer about it but i think part of me is like damn is this is this your last shot at survival like the fact that you're canceling project mara is all hands on deck for a very quick turnaround on a senua game that is a bit more action adventure feels a bit more traditional yeah is this y 'all being like yo we got to take what we have and put out a game that is actually going to sell and do well or else we might be in trouble here i hope that's not the case i hope that this is a thing of no this is our vision this is what we want to do this is our what we see as the future of this character yeah but yeah as i mentioned yesterday on the reaction stream i'm somebody who loved hellblade one and i wish it stopped at hellblade one i wanted to see different things from ninja theory fair enough Greg Yes A lot of big news We got to talk about today So much big news And hopefully Sanua is a big game Has a big reaction Yeah yeah yeah But if I wanted something smaller Say the tiniest news I needed to know about Where would I go?

The TV show where he was a dad, they had the two kids. Wait, it's that guy? Yeah, that's Tyler Houghlin. Oh, man. I liked him. I didn't realize he was Sephiroth. I didn't either. Wow. I think we're missing part of this because I thought they confirmed somewhere who the replacement was. Oh. Could you look into it? Yeah. I'll try to give an update. It is Superman. Damn. Yeah. That's cool. Yeah. I appreciate Sephiroth more now. Oh, man. Bring him back.

Oh, he is a Superman. That's why I brought up of like they replaced him with a different Superman. Oh. Yeah. Speaking of Super, the Super Mario Galaxy movie has surpassed a billion dollars globally. Even though everybody hated it. Capcom announced Monster Hunter Wilds for Switch 2 on just on Twitter. Oh. They just tweeted out. Yeah. If you can bring up the tweet. That sounds really neat. Cardigan says, wait, what's up? That was Graham of Legend.
59:37Yeah. Who just published a game of his own last week. Yes.
59:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Did he talk about his game? No. Everybody go get Graham of Legends game Hourlands. Okay, go out there. It's up on Steam right now. You can go get it. I'm looking for the Steam. Ah, fuck. No. who's calling you?
59:57Hello, Travis Willingham. You're live on kind of funny games daily. How are you? Hey Miller. I heard you've been talking shit. No, that's not exactly. That's not exactly correct. It was just that like, I, I didn't realize that. That's not what my spiders tell me Miller. They're everywhere. They're deep in your organization. And I've heard you've been talking shit. It was just that I didn't realize cause I'm not a huge nerd. I don't play the final fantasies that like Tyler Hawkland, Superman, like a man. a guy who had played Superman was Sephiroth. So then when I found out that he had to leave the role, I got very upset about that.
1:00:29But then I, the, the, the chat, uh, they told me you were, you did it. And I was like, Oh, I know him. Hey, that's Roy Mustang. Put some respect on him. You can be an expected to visit for me later tonight. Miller. No, no, no, no, I prefer if you didn't do that. Don't, you don't have to do that. Late night. This is Travis. That's Mustang. that's porkist the ace you put some respect on willy hammer i've never heard someone say click and hang up like because you can't slam a phone down anymore you can't slam a cell phone down just say click yeah um at least you have your guard dog yeah yeah yeah cole will bark at him and then get punted through the uprights uh our lands is out on steam go get our lands

No goals, no management, just vibes. Yeah, it came out June 2nd. So, shout out. I like how he shows up to promote other people's games. Yeah, Graham Legend comes in and writes in about somebody else's game. The homie. The homie. Yes, please, check out Our Lands. Looks really cool. $4.99 on sale right now for $4.49. What else are you going to do? What are you going to do?
1:01:41Are you going to buy a shoe? Go buy this. A shoe. How did he know? Singular. He has spies. Barrett probably has his number. He's in that voice actor guild over there that's what he's doing that's what i'm in fucking sag afro
1:01:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:texas sag homies greg miller's talking shit cardigan writes in it says assumedly the point of swapping from phil etal to asha was for meaningful change what is what actually different what is actually different about xbox now compared to january um the logo and it's all caps all caps yeah that's huge because twitter said it should be all cap yeah um el capitan says let's see what the shareholders think when halo fable and eventually forza six sales uh dwarf eday sales you say yeah everything that still goes multi-platform dwarfs this yeah but that yeah i my pushback is that of course like if you look at gears of gears eday and think the sales gonna be comparable to the ones that have been multi-platform that'd be dumb but i understand you as far as like once they're so small then yeah people are gonna look at them and be like what the fuck but that's also exclusives in my opinion um new mateo says gears reloaded sold terribly on ps5 making the new one exclusive means they have little to lose because projections are probably lower on sony i would say that's a remaster versus a brand new game yeah i i don't buy it with the same this is a game that's going to get the the full push um this is a game you got the IGN ads I'm assuming there's ads running on TV there's all these different things like especially let's assume the reviews are going to be great Gears is back and better than ever this is a great place to jump into Gears that's way different than hey there's a remaster we just plopped over there Stonis says E-Day will be on PS5 by April 2027 after Fable sells 3 million on PS5 also Greg is the pickle and relish on the Chicago dog redundant well no you know the pickle is going to be a nice kosher dill which is very different than the neon relish you're getting that has a far different taste and texture than the pickle itself okay christopher burnett says do you think halo will continue to be on playstation last october microsoft and halo studios said all feature halo games will be on playstation i've already pre-ordered my collector's edition and digital deluxe edition on ps5 you're talking about the new one the the campaign evolved like they're not going to pull the plug on that no yeah they reiterated that it's going to be on playstation And I think by the time they get to the next Halo, they'll probably reverse this decision or just be publishing third party.
1:04:11Blessing Adeoye Jr.:There you go. Han says, I don't think Gears is a console seller. Putting it on PS5 will sell more games. Yes, exactly. Yeah, I don't know. My thing is like, again, damned if you do, damned if you don't. Do you want to sell copies or do you want to try and sell boxes? Like, they're going to try and sell boxes because that's what they're doing. So, yeah, we've talked to death. uh keegan hill says people seem to forget asha has been in the role for like five minutes and that this showcase is probably 90 phil's work you're not wrong yeah there's 107 days when she was on stage yesterday um let me see if there's any because a lot of people talking about xbox let me see if there's any ones that stand out oh cats writes in with a 40 super chat thank you so much cats that's very kind of you says birthday tax i'm turning 40 today i've been watching greg since podcast beyond beyond yeah growing old sucks but video games are pretty cool greg did you ever finish links awakening it's my favorite Zelda game no I never did I still put it out on my switch to way into it like I forget like no I would this wasn't one where I scratched the surface of I was way into links awakening when we first got the switch to when I was playing going back and playing other shit great game loved it and then Kilgore trout oh let me tell I knew how to, it was a quick one, in line for Xbox yesterday, right, to get in or whatever.
1:05:34I got my media badge and then just fiddled into the fans and we were all waiting because there was like a step and repeat. Dude in front of me was with his girlfriend or wife or whatever wearing a GameScoop shirt. I was like, oh man, GameScoop, nice shirt. He's like, yeah, thanks. I was like, how long have you been listening to GameScoop? He's like, oh, a long time. Turned away again. I'm like, do you go to IGN a lot? No fucking idea who I was. No fucking. I was on like three weeks ago talking to Damon. This is like if Tony Hawk was like trying really hard to get recognized when people don't recognize him.
1:06:05Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I don't know if I ever told this story on content. Please. Years ago, like a few years ago, I was on a hinge date with a girl. Love that. And we're talking and we start talking about content because it turns out she watches like nerdy content online. Okay. And she brings up Roosteeth. I was like, oh, that's really cool or whatever. And then she mentioned how she was like, oh, yeah, you know, I saw Barbara Dunkelman live once. And then it clicked in my brain. I was like, she probably saw Barbara Dunkelman at Kind of Funny Live because she lives in San Francisco. So I asked her, I was like, where'd you see Barbara Dunkelman at?
1:06:33Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And she's like, oh, Kind of Funny Live too. And I was like. How are you not married right now? Because I was a little freaked out because I was like, does she know who I am? Did you ask? No. Okay. I think part of me was like, what if she's like keeping it close to the chest that she doesn't know who I am? Well, I mean, she just totally revealed it. Yeah. And I don't, I'm not trying to date somebody who already knows who I am from content. I don't know. That was like a weird one for me. Yeah, I respect that. Yeah. Bless, do you want to see something exciting? What's up? Persona 4 Revival, collector's edition, shown off.
1:07:06With a cool protagonist in Izanagi statue. Ooh. Key caps and a key chain. I got key caps and a key chain.
1:07:16Blessing Adeoye Jr.:We go in half. And then we break the statue in half. You take one half's statue. I take the other half. Do you want you or do you want the persona? I want the persona. You can take you. He's fine. He's fine. Okay, I'll take you. You take the persona. Fair enough. If there's a pillow, Michael Haim gets that. Fair enough. We're bringing one more from Kilgore Trouts that says, Appreciate the KF team hard work over SGF. You guys make it look easy, but I know it's a lot of hard work in front of and behind the camera.
