Today, in the nerdy news you need to know about, Jason Schreier, the Schreier guy, one take Schreier from YouTube, says Xbox is keeping Obsidian. Companies respond to Sony ending disc support and Metroid ravenous has apparently been leaked by Nintendo for Switch 2. We'll have all this and more because this is Kind of Funny Games Daily.

0:32What's up, everybody? Welcome to Kind of Funny Games Daily for Thursday, July 2nd, 2026. I'm one of your hosts, Greg Miller, alongside Forbes 30 Under 30, a.k.a. New York Game Wars nominated a.k.a. by Sepp Poppy. It's your volleyball champion, Blessing Eddie O 'Yea Jr. Come on. Last night was one of the happiest nights of my life. Did it feel like the credits were rolling in your movie? like you guys won it really did because usually i've been playing these rec league sports pretty much on for the last two years and i don't really have a plan to get right back into it oh really this is like the walk-off home run this kind of is the walk-off home run a little bit yeah at least for july i think i'm gonna take a break we'll see what it's like in august sure sure sure oh long break yeah yeah exactly yeah but usually we don't take breaks we're just on to the next one yeah uh tell everybody all about it yeah so this was i think maybe like a year maybe a year and a half of just us playing volleyball um season after season straight we've it's it's been really fun because when we first started this long run of volleyball it was me and a few friends that has grown into such a strong team where we met a few people we met keenan we met bella we met kaylin right who how quickly did snowmike mike flake on the whole operation because he was part of years ago yeah years ago no that was like when we were first those when we're still playing soccer kickball yeah yeah yeah that like that was when leans had broke her leg yeah i remember i remember so long ago mike's not been a part of it for a very long time um it's just been me and the homies and now like did you meet the homies through the original kickball that's the thing is when we first started soccer the first um season of soccer met our friend kyle kyle is a dude who had started playing rec league sports because he heard us talking about it on the podcast that's cool signed up for soccer we hadn't been doing soccer we were doing softball at the time.

2:20Oh, okay, okay. And then he sees us on the soccer field, he was like, oh, shit, I signed up for soccer because I heard you guys talking about rec league sports. You know, I wanted to get into it. So we met Kyle through that. Over time, we meet other people. My friend Asen gets involved in it. Asen, of course, you know from the marathon stream as well. And then, like, when we start playing volleyball, that's when we get, yeah, Kaylin, Bella, Keenan, people who are just dropping into the team. Yeah. Like, they come in, they, we start to gel, we start to have, like, this chemistry that allows us to play better and better.

2:49And over time, we go from being, we go from like having a losing streak and never winning a game of volleyball to then winning some games of volleyball to then winning like half the time. And then for about, I want to say four to five seasons, we've been getting into the finals. And the last three seasons now, like the previous season and the season before that, we've met the same team in the finals. And they beat us. This is a cinematic journey. Legitimately, they have beat us both times in the finals. And we look at that team as these are our rivals. They're the Cobra Kai. They're the Cobra Kai.

3:21I've not seen Cobra Kai, but I assume they're the Cobra Kai. Yeah. And I'm like, we're all like, we got to beat them. Like, we got to beat them. Are they nice or they assholes? That's the problem is that they're so nice. They're the nicest team. One of the guys, the best player on their team, who we assume is the captain. He, after, after you play them, he'll give us snacks. Like last night he gave us these fruit snacks and like these granola bars, like great smiling the whole time. meanwhile our team anytime we get a point we're like fuck yeah like giving each other high five he comes over and he's actually like spraying champagne in his face yeah we are such i imagine if you're on a team that's facing us we're probably so annoyed because we're so happy after every point we make but last night after we meet that team again in the final so it's the same finals for three seasons in a row we're like all locked in we're all tense because we're like we have to win we've been doing the work we've been getting better our team is stronger than ever like this is our chance to win in the first game so for playoffs we do two two games it's a four team bracket we did our first game first game too close to comfort oh no we're like we beat the first team that we faced off against it was a bit close but we're like all right we're warmed up we got our thing going we get into the the final game of the season against our rivals yeah and the first it's best of three games right versus you the first game we play very close first game we play we're making mistakes here and there sure but we end up you know uh i think winning 25 to 23 it's time for game two and we made some adjustments we were like all right you said you stand over here you get over here you're a good setter you stand there you're good at receiving you stand middle back and when i tell you it was a sweep that second game we beat them like 25 to 8 or something like a crazy run Tim Geddes on Game Showdown just a euphoric feeling of like we did it and we dominated doing it so shout out to the volleyball team the volleyballers of course is our team name love that what a great way to start your birthday happy birthday what year is it?

5:2132 almost Jesus' age maybe I'll go out the same way next year the internet might crucify you you never know where it'll be We'll see how ravenous the Xbox fan base is by the time we get there. Of course, get your birthday shout outs in there for blessing. I see them all popping off in the streets right now. My noodle man in chat says something tells me bless is not a net player. On the contrary, I play best at the net. Now, when I say best at the net, put me in the center. I'm a set. I can set all day, every day. That's where I'm 100%. If I had stats, like the Barrio sports game stats, my setting, five out of five.

5:58My spiking might be two and a half. okay by receiving i get three okay you know but i appreciate these honest stats these are honest stats when you put me in that front center oh i'm i'm i'm setting up anybody love that yeah of course everybody this is kind of funny games daily where we run you through the nerdy video game news you need to know about live if you're watching live of course be part of the show with your thoughts opinions and more on the day's gaming news you can do that on youtube.com slash kind of funny games just like a little girl named sky did she wrote in to say formally apologizing for not using the kind of funny scale in my previous review of Pragmata.

6:32I retract that review and amend it with a nine out of ten. Have a lovely day. Sky, you are forgiven for your transgressions. Of course, we couldn't do this without people like Sky and our Patreon producers on patreon.com slash kind of funny. So thank you, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster, Delaney, the Somme Twining, and Lacks Nomad. For now, let's begin the show with what is and forever will be the Roper Report. Time for some news. seven items on the Roper report. A Baker's dozen. We begin as always with not great news. Not it's like, I mean, it's good news. It's there's a lot of bad and maybe some good in the center, but we'll talk about it.

7:19Right. Okay. Number one, avowed the outer worlds in fallout, new Vegas developer obsidian entertainment, reportedly not at risk of closure. amid the Xbox reset. This is WYP, that's Wesley Yin Poole at IGN. The original story goes like this. Avowed and the Outer Worlds developer Obsidian is reportedly also at risk of closure amid Microsoft's reset of the Xbox business. The game business listed the Microsoft-owned studio, which developed the much-loved Fallout New Vegas, alongside State of Decay developer Undead Labs, Psychonaut developer Double Fine, Hellblade developer Ninja Theory, and South of Midnight developer Compulsion is currently negotiating with Xbox leadership to avoid closure.

8:02Separately, Marvel's Blade developer, Arcane Leon, is also... And we say Leon, right? Leon, yeah. Is also said to be under threat. These studios may be sold rather than closed as part of a process that may take some time. And even if the studios are spun off, they may not avoid layoffs. Hygiene has asked Microsoft for a comment about the layoff reports, but has yet to respond. Now we go to the one, the only, the Shry guy, Jason Shryer, one take Shryer, you know, from YouTube, go like, subscribe, share, say kind of funny sent you on BS. That's a blue sky, Tim, Jason Shryer BS is despite a report this morning.

8:41I can confirm that obsidian is not in negotiations to avoid shutting down. Plenty of details are still up in the air surrounding the layoffs. Parentheses picture will be clear on Monday, but Xbox is keeping obsidian. according to people familiar with the situation. Blessing at EOEA Jr. Thank you. I appreciate that. Bless you, Kevin. Kevin, your allergies are kicking your ass today. You weren't kidding. We can say, all right, good news, of course, that yes, it would appear. And my whole thing here, it would appear. Do I believe in the Shry guy? Of course. I believe there's a lot of information out there.

9:18Okay? For weeks, we've been hearing rumblings. I've heard Obsidian in those rumblings I'm talking about stuff we don't talk about I'm talking about the smart people who actually have sources and things I've heard them not in the rumblings I'm not ready to say Obsidian locked okay not because I don't trust Jason just because there's a lot of scuttlebutt right now until they say what they're saying I don't believe anything I think that's the thing when it comes to reporting to Christopher Dring's report from the game business what a podcast they have a podcast? I just know them as the newsletter her i didn't know they had oh yeah no no is it lucy james i saw lucy's been on it okay but no she's not like a reoccurring co-host gotcha um but i i've been seeing people throw a lot of shade at the game business for reporting that these are happening and i and people referring to it as rumors speculation all that stuff i don't envy the position of a reporter no reporting on these things because sometimes you get shit wrong right and that could be the your source gets it wrong That could be your source gets it wrong.

10:18That could be plans changed between when you reported it and, you know, when new information comes out. Like, I think there's, I mean, I think there's a media literacy problem across the board. But I want to put that out there as far as how people are talking about the way in which these things are coming out. Because it's not necessarily people stirring up rumors just to stir up rumors. It's people doing their jobs and reporting based off of what their sources are telling them. Sometimes they get that shit wrong. And yeah, that affects your reputation or whatever. But I want to separate those two things because I see a lot of people combining those two things.

10:52And I don't think that's right. Fair enough. Yeah. And I think right now, again, for as long as I've been hearing about this, since before the original story broke that this was all starting to fall apart, I've heard these studios, including Obsidian, kicked around. Yeah. And I'm not obviously reporting on anything. I'm hearing it from secondhand sources who are hearing it from their sources. And I'm talking about journalists and reporters and things like that. So I don't, I, my whole thing is it's a weird one where I was like, not great news. Like it's kind of great news. What's like, well, even if we take up sitting out of it, we're talking about five different developers who are up in the wind right now.

11:24Right. And if terms of, uh, is double fine, I'm going to walk away and own double fine, or are they going to be closed? Are they going to be sold or what's going to happen? And I'm talking about undead, double fine, ninja theory, compulsion, and whatever's going on with arcane Leon. Like it is going to be a crazy story, no matter how it goes. Oh yeah. Do you think, because here's my question again, since the beginning of hearing about all this and how crazy this all goes and how many to be talking to, let's just say five different developers right now, five different studio heads, shareholders, whatever, about what happens next.

12:00Do you think Monday we're going to have clarity in terms of, Hey everybody, it's me, Asha. Here's the letter today. We're saying goodbye to these two, three studios. These two are spinning off independent. we're helping people find or is it going to be that Monday is just the start of alright cool here's the bloodletting we're laying off 300 Xbox employees across all studios I mean I think it'll be both right like I think on Monday you're gonna hear these studios are closing and then also it is gonna be a bunch of layoffs within Xbox like I assume even if it's not all Monday I think it'll probably be all next week right of these pieces of news coming out and I think it's gonna be it's gonna be clear what studios are closed but I think it's gonna be messy as far as oh yeah this division of Xbox is getting layoffs and this is it's like all right but then who's left yeah i was thinking about this this morning that because i've not been on many of these episodes uh as this news has been coming out this week of all these different xbox studios um you know doing the negotiations and i was thinking about this morning of like if i'm playing devil's advocate i think when you look at the business of xbox and you look at what asha is coming in and doing a lot of these moves make sense when you think of it from the perspective of the devil like what do you think of it when you remove the humanity aspect of it it's like you're coming through and you're cleaning the house and you are I think we can talk about what studios we think are going to make it and what studios aren't going to make it just based off of oh you're trying to lean up and just make the most profitable games as possible and try to make those things exclusive and when you remove the humanity of it man yeah I think next week is going to be very predictable as far as what we're talking about.

13:41It'll be interesting. Yes, 100 % it's predictable. It will be interesting to see next week the reaction, I guess, from the audience and the gamers at large, as we actually know, as to, yeah, are they mad at Asha? Because that's what I've said since we started reporting on the original rumors and everything else. I don't blame Asha. And I also don't blame Phil. I blame Satya Nadella. I blame Microsoft. I think my thing is who cares about Asha? Like Asha is just a, she's a face, right? No matter who it is, it's the same thing that's happening. Like Asha is just a piece of this equation. But yeah, really, it just goes up to the top of Microsoft.

14:22It goes up to the top of how you operate a business of this size. And yeah, I look to Satya Nadella and I look at the organization of Microsoft on the top level and go, you guys fucked this up. 100 %? 100%, like throughout everything. thing you guys should never have acquired Activision Blizzard you guys should have uh fostered these studios that you acquired better right whether it be Bethesda Obsidian Ninja Theory all of these people like you guys just fucked this up and down for the last decade and I don't look at Asha is the one I don't I think if we're getting mad at Asha I'm sure get mad at Asha she's CEO she can take it and also who cares but also like get mad at Microsoft get mad at the people at the top get mad at Satya Nadella Melissa with a Y in the chat says Phil was never crucified the way Asha has been, but okay, lol.

15:08I vehemently disagree where Phil is shit on all the time. People hated him and whenever he would say something and then six months later, nine months later, change it, they would call him a liar and they would say you couldn't listen to him and this, that, the other. In a way, I thought they were ignoring the realities of a business and again, ignoring Satya Nadella pulling the strings. Christopher Dring, again, the games business, a great sub stack, a great podcast. I can I listen but I also I'm sorry I subscribe to Substack but listen to the podcast more yeah he has a great one today that just went up I think it went up yesterday technically but now it's on Spotify I forget how it works for them because there's too many podcasts thank you um talking about talking to both PR people and I think he was talking to the leaders of these studios all off the record or you know I guess on background uh unnamed and one of the things he said is that it's been sati and adela's since the perch since activision it's been sati and adela's xbox yeah like that there's been no autonomy autonomy thank you very much in terms of what you're going to do and where you're going to go with it which i think is what's led to again in melissa with a y a long time kind of funny best friend so i hope that didn't come off as aggressive but like in the way phil spencer was just fucking people yelled at him all the time after redfall after this after that and i think so much so many of those decisions were no longer in his control, which again, I think is why when him and Sarah are fucking gone, you bring in Asha, who of course is going to come in and I'm sure when she got the job, Satya and Del was, as we've said, and she said, right, make this sustainable.

16:37Make this make sense. And so you come in and you have a vision that Phil and Sarah were marching towards before, I believe, Microsoft said, what the fuck are you doing? And now you have all these people there that we've talked about at large and Jason has talked about in his videos, the, hey, we're bringing on Double Fine and we're bringing on compulsion and you're going to make art make games that will be on game pass and win us awards they don't need to be million sellers yeah and now microsoft's like fucking make money why are you making money for the melissa comment right i think that's i think it's more so we saw people big up phil for being for coming off as a human right like phil was really good at be having the persona of being somebody who's really into video games he loves video games he's a gamer and all these things and so i think we don't really talk about asha like that you know what i mean like i think certain people love asha right but when it comes to spencer oddly there's a whole when you put up twitter polls and you change the name of xbox face off twitter people are like oh she's doing what she's listening to the people that's a whole different conversation the phil thing i think a lot of us would look at phil as like oh yeah he's that guy so i think that's the that's the disconnect there but also it comes to the asha thing of yeah phil was too human like i know also made mistakes like a human you bring in asha because you look at her and go be a robot be an algorithm and cut the fat yeah cut all be a ceo right yeah like and i mean like i think again to your point you're nailing it the reason you either loved or hated phil was that phil acted like a human being because he is a human being but when you're in the fucking corporate machine of microsoft and they're going to change directions and then let you go somewhere and fuck you all blah blah like like i don't i don't want to give i don't want to act like i care about either phil or asha like that but i don't envy what position they were either as far as like trying to make xbox successful under microsoft because i think both of them are met with impossible tasks i i've said it so many times in the show and i know we haven't been able to do them a lot right but it's like either of them have a 9 000 pound gorilla on their back yeah where you can't really make decisions it would be like me saying to you like cool bless do all the shows the way you want to do the shows and then i'm looking at numbers like bless stop doing the shows like that why does this thumbnail look like this do this what are you know what i mean yeah that's not you're not actually in control anymore 100 again i want to know just give me that give me that parallel world give me that parallel world where microsoft isn't a huge fucking piece of shit and sazzy and adela doesn't need to eat a huge bag of shit and phil said we're going to do everything's an xbox we're going to push cloud we're gonna have apps we're gonna have screens we're on every screen and microsoft said yeah that's a great plan that's really fun that and then let us get to right now yeah where it's like hey you can't buy anything for less than a thousand dollars can you imagine the amazing ad campaign they could be running right now i'm phil spencer this is how you share a game boom that's how you could do it on your console and if you don't want to do that we have a ten dollar entry point for you to go fucking play everything on your goddamn x cloud and yada yada yada that's what me and tim have been saying for like two to three years as far as why play anywhere is the future why putting xbox games on other platforms i'm sure you've been saying it too but i feel like i was on the show with tim a lot while we were saying that right because we talked about the fact that prices are going up for hardware we talked about the fact that the amount of people buying consoles isn't growing astronomically especially coming out of the pandemic right do you know what everybody has everybody has a phone everybody has a screen everybody has something they can that can stream something from the internet that is why xbox moves to play anywhere and now that we're having this shift in going hey our exclusivity matters again yeah this is what happens this is why like you can't have it both ways as far as wanting exclusivity and wanting these studios to to exist under xbox you got to choose one or the other and they're choosing one yeah so we'll see how that pans out but i'm scared about what this looks like a year two years three years from now as far as the xbox that we have it is going to be Call of Duty Xbox I was going to try and think of a clever name for it But really it is just like It's the Xbox and Call of Duty company Featuring Elder Scrolls 6 Elder Scrolls 6 Yep One day Let's get some super chats Because of course people are fired up over here Marty says The CEO Phil should have known Activision would change the DNA of the company Seems like a good dude but a 69 billion dollar acquisition changes your business you're not wrong yeah and i bet he did think it was going to change it i just don't think he thought it would change this way i would assume i don't know cod box that would have been a cod box that is good i do like that yeah i've been saying it for a while now but yeah call of duty was the symbiote activision blizzard was the symbiote you tried to harness his power and guess what in hli now you're venom now you're venom i hate that uh science dog official says they're all corpos that deserve a public grilling for shit decisions asha inherited the scrutiny when she took over the job.

21:37To be a thousand percent clear, at no point are we saying you shouldn't scrutinize these people and criticize their decisions, X, Y, and Z. I just think that whoever, you put any body, put Gary Witte in there. Like, Gary Witte is being hired to do the bidding of Satya Nadella, which is why Gary wouldn't get the job. But you understand what I'm saying of like, you don't have autonomy. Gary, yeah. That's a weirdy kid, didn't he? Autonomy. I think you said it right. It sounded very weird. But Gary wouldn't step in and go, all right, cool, I'm not closing all these things. we're gonna lose money fucking satia don't be like get the fuck out of here you're fired already like criticize them scrutinize them my thing is i we have a lot of bottled up anger i just want to make sure you have enough anger to spare for the rest of the microsoft organization because it's not just phil and it's not just asha sharma it's sati nadella it's microsoft it's the higher ups all of them get mad at all of them whiz pig tactic says we shouldn't ignore that microsoft is also shooting the bed outside of xbox so i'm looking at satia being a big factor here yeah chasing this AI bullshit all the time I'm just saying have enough anger to spare get angry at them get angry at everybody too that's that's fucking this whole thing up it's not just them well Freak says given yesterday in today's news Xbox and Playstation get it together because literally what the fuck are you doing what was the Playstation oh yesterday yeah they took physical games out back and shot them what yeah you didn't hear this I was knocked out yesterday I'm sorry you were in the gym preparing for volleyball all day long yeah I was focused on like setting up the little cones and like spiking into them like I want to get it today yeah it's crazy it's a crazy time to be a video game fan and in the industry and it's terrifying crazy time we of course will be watching Monday with bated breath to see who makes it how bad it is and where Xbox goes from there speaking of Playstation killing physical games Greg way number two on the Roper report companies respond to Sony's decision to end disc support this is Eddie and Chris over at GameSpot A number of companies have responded to the news that Sony will no longer support physical PlayStation discs beginning in 2028.

23:37That includes I Am 8-Bit, a company known for its physical gaming collectibles, which said it is, quote unquote, profoundly disappointed by the news. Physical games are vital to games preservation, ownership, and consumer choice. Values that have guided I Am 8-Bit since our first physical release in 2016, the company said. The company added that it remains committed to these values. Quote, long live physical media, I Am 8-Bit said in its sign-off. I Am 8-Bit collaborates with numerous game companies like Blizzard, Remedy, Capcom, Annapurna, and Xbox on physical games and merch. The company also releases vinyl soundtracks for games like Ark Raiders and Persona.

24:14The company also funds and publishes games through its I Am 8-Bit Presents label. Gamefly, the game rental service, also expressed disappointment and used the opportunity to promote an opportunity for certain ex-subscribers to renew for just$2.50. Quote, We are disappointed in the news today about the future of PlayStation video games, the company wrote. Gamefly is run by people who believe physical products still matter. It is a belief that has been at the core of our company since day one, end quote. Another company, the independent game developer Turnham Games Studios, reacted to Sony's announcement as well, saying its commitment to physical editions of its games remains intact.

24:54Quote, We pledge to work urgently to bring every game we create and those already on the way tangibly to your shelves before that fateful early 2028 deadline, the company said. It added, the industry may try to change its course, but we will not let go of your hand. Your shelves will keep being filled the stories, end quote. The Video Game History Foundation director Frank Cifaldi also lamented the unfortunate news with regard to consumer rights and other related areas, but noted that for professional preservationists quote this doesn't have as much of an impact as you might expect in quote playstation fans are also among those to express their disappointment with the news many expressing their support for physical media obviously the comment sections on all of their social medias are out of control all over the place there was one on i saw another article being shared where whatever it is like sony blu-ray who never gets any responses put up italic Dagon Knights thing about it leaving streaming and the guy's like it's a good thing I own it then right like outrageous right now as people are flipping out understandably as they react to this you weren't on this one yesterday bless yeah and I didn't get to listen to the show I assume that you guys would have said everything that I said great job great job oh no not like that no this is a bad thing uh so I don't want to like go off and just repeat probably all the things that you guys have already said the thing that makes me makes me sad and mad about this is that in a world where video games are getting more and more expensive, this is another way to cut people out of getting video games, right?

26:23This fucks up the pre-owned market. This fucks up things like being able to check out games from libraries. This fucks up being able to share games with friends, right? Just handing things over to people. This fucks up so many... I mean, you read the Gamefly thing. A lot of the ways that people who might not have as much disposable income are able to experience video games is with physical games right and all of these different options available with physical games cutting that entirely out i think absolutely sucks and i know there's two sides of it there's the business side of playstation operating and all that stuff right and then there's just the reality side of how that affects people and i think the reality side of how it affects people is so fucked up that i don't even care about the business side of playstation like fuck off shit sucks yeah yeah yeah that's all i gotta say fair enough yeah i think what will be interesting is if the public outcry is enough to warrant a response from playstation we talk about you know it just came off of this xbox story and we talked about both maybe the biggest pro and the biggest con of xbox under phil was the fact that phil was a human being so he was talking all the time on podcasts he would book an appearance on the xcast to come have fun and guess what red fall got canceled the day before and now he's got to do that you know what i mean like they had you had opportunities to actually ask phil real salient questions and get in front of it that way right playstation doesn't do that once sean laden went away in 2020 industry events died and yada yada yada like it's rare to see herman even though he does do them occasionally but it's rare to see herman in front of uh ign jason schreier etc etc etc it occasionally happens but not at the clip it was happening with a phil spencer right and now i feel like when you do see them it's usually at a variety thing and i'm not knocking it but it's usually the hey we're launching a new playstation film so let's talk to you there i wonder if people can be mad about this enough and show enough support to it to get playstation to have to talk about it or i don't think they rescind the decision but have some kind of actual reaction that's substantial or if it's just they're able to just we take the punches and go i think the tough thing about this is that this has probably been a decision that's been so long in the making for a playstation and this is a decision that factors so strongly into probably their hardware design for next gen yeah where i don't think it's i think for them it's not reversible i think for them it's like no this is our next this is our next gen strategy like 2028 doesn't feel like a random year yeah i think that's them gearing up for their next platform not having a disk drive you're right you are correct 100 to me be clear i don't think it changes it i don't think you're gonna see it do it and again like i wonder the conversation one of the conversations we had yesterday right because there was many and everything you've talked about and this sucks for everybody trying to get in i keep going back to that cfo right of like the way we're gonna make money as playstation is to monetize the existing user base right and so to your point of the business versus the people right the business doesn't give a fuck about the person who's going there and going to library and renting a game for free or trading a game with their friends they don't care about that consumer they care about the people who are already buying them and if they're seeing that they're going to lean into that and go that way so all the one no i want to pass it to you the all the bluster we're having right now and the anger we're having right now right again as i said yesterday not all but we're probably some of you but i know not all of you don't but but like we're part of the problem like we look at these charts yesterday of physical sales dropping digital sales rising exponentially and it's like we all made this reality by how we made our choices and so like we can all be mad right now that physical games are going away but they're reading what we've been giving them in terms of information i i agree and disagree i disagree in the sense of 80 of players are playing digital games right like that was one of the factoids jason tryer threw out there from one of his recent videos that he's heard from devs and all that stuff right 80 of players 20 like that's still millions and millions of people during was talking about like 1.6 billion or whatever off physical i forget if he's comparing it what he was comparing to today but he's talking about that in the bond sales which were whatever they were in the uk but it was like 260 million no 260 000 were physical yeah 20 this isn't nothing yeah 20 is not an insignificant amount of people yeah by any means and even when we're looking at other mediums like most people most people are listening to music through Spotify or Apple or digital means.

30:50Most people are watching movies through digital means. Most people are consuming most media through digital means, right? We live in a digital age. That makes sense. All those other forms of media also have physical options. Those physical options still exist. Now, when we get into the weeds of it, there's different things there, right? As far as for music, for example, something like vinyl gives you a higher quality or gives you a warmer quality in terms of sound. Something like Blu-ray will give you a higher quality in terms of visuals and all these things, right? Like sure. There are reasons why diehards might care a bit more about the physical versions of those versus video games.

31:21You don't have as direct of a comparison for why you do physical or digital, as far as the quality of the thing. But I do think that there is an audience there that cares enough about this, that you, you should cater to that audience. Now I'm saying that, and I know you're looking at me of like, no, their money, the money coming into PlayStation probably tells them that they shouldn't cater to that, cater to that audience. but I think it has enough of an effect on everything in your audience. So many of the people in your audience, not just taking it away, but all the things I'm talking about as far as what physical does for people that I do like on the business side, I get it, but I also stick to being mad about it, right?

32:04Oh, I'm not saying anybody shouldn't be mad. You can have your emotions and feel it out. And as we were talking yesterday, Andy, I was saying, like i think what's getting this visceral reaction is i think so many we've all said we are moving towards this one day you didn't think the day was yet july 1st 2026 that was going to be announced i feel like that seems like it's crazy to your point it's doing next gen proofing or whatever i would push back back on uh you again of like i think what's happening here is several different things but in reality especially as i don't think playstation's going to change and i don't think they're gonna um answer to this other than this is the right call for business blah blah for that 20 they're calling your bluff 20 the 20 of people buying physical were making the assumption of this argument are i want physical and i won't ever do it playstation's going no no no 18 of you will gladly come over and buy this game digitally or buy the box at walmart and have the code in or i don't think i don't think there's anybody i don't let me not say anybody i think there's a very small amount of people that goes i'm not gonna play video games anymore because of this right like i don't think any of us are going i'm not playing i think all of us are just going this fucking sucks yeah i'm still i've seen plenty of people who are yeah goodbye playstation on the subreddits of i'm gonna go to steam or i'm gonna do this as you should honestly playstation sitting there going like all right cool prove it we've we've been doing this a long time and we've seen people mad on the internet a long time are you really not gonna buy the new god of war and i'm not i'm not calling your bluff for the record i'm saying playstation is and what i was talking about i think that's internet too like i think you're right i think but i do i think that's the internet audience i think people in general who play on playstation probably still mad about this but i don't i don't think most of those people are going i'm gonna go play on steam instead yeah yeah and i think that's the whole thing about it and so the people you do lose are gonna be as a business sense statistically insignificant and i think on top of that you're tossing in the fact that we've been talking about so much on the show and i keep bringing up like the industry is shrinking right yeah we are receding right now to be this hardcore playstation 3 kind of bubble of the people who will pay for their games and will pay a lot of money for this hobby and so the people who are the ones that are renting them game flying them going to library for them playstation can't in their mind worry about them because they're worrying about how to get the money out of us and that's why this is to a way earlier point you're making about um playstation right not having a phil spencer being kind of like a faceless company at this point with hermit holes appearing in variety and all that stuff i think to all that yeah i don't think they ever respond even i don't think they say anything it i think when it comes up it'll simply be uh look at the data you know what i mean like this is the data and this is what's right i'd be surprised if they even say that i i was watching you have to say something right when you get asked oh and then somebody is eventually gonna ask harvin holson in interview i was thinking there's an episode of of atlanta where um zazie beats his character uh takes her daughter to like um a like they're recording a movie right it's essentially this tyler perry type character is making a movie and the zazie beats is playing an extra in that movie the tyler perry director character never appears like in person he's always just speaking from an intercom okay and he's directing from an intercom and there's something about it where his name is i think mr chocolate there's something about his character that strikes fear into all the other characters where they try to give him feedback and he's just like do as i say there's a when you're faceless like that when you're not appearing in front of people like i think there is just a level of non-response non-engagement that you're allowed to have totally that like yeah for phil phil has to speak asha all these xbox personalities have to be on twitter and all this stuff hilariously asha didn't have to speak she could have come in and been like i'm not saying a goddamn word but she's joining an xbox that loves to speak.

35:50And guess what? Now you're just going back and forth with people on Twitter, right? Whereas Herman Holtz, I don't, when was the last time Herman tweeted? I don't check Twitter. So if he tweeted, it probably, it's probably just like, I don't know, some beach photo or something. It's not him talking about PlayStation casually with the audience. Yeah. The Portland Kevin Super Chat says, I never buy digital games at full price because I want something tangible for so much money. I think this will hurt game sales at almost all levels. I don't, I mean, it's so i think game sales are already that's my thing is we're already hurting so i don't think it would you know even you buying a digital game at a sale price is still more valuable to playstation than you buying it at the retail and them having to pay for this and yeah i think that's the thing is like if this hurts playstation which i don't i think there's a chance that it could as far as the amount of sales yeah i think they look at the revenue based off of them not having to share it with gamestop and best buy and all that stuff and go oh it's worth it yeah

36:51Exigent Midnight Sony is going to craft such a response to this All the PR words, no changes There will be a lot of, we've heard you We've heard what's going on here Yeah, this is what's going to go on I don't even think they're going to say that Yeah, we're still moving on Street Shadow says, I did some research One thing that goes missing, optical drive Blu-ray production and the lens used to read the disc is decking everywhere. I don't know what that means. Less manufacturing to supply consoles. It's not going to, it's not to ignore the player trends, by the way. There's a lot at play here.

37:23Yes, of course, there is a lot at play here, whether it be everything we're talking about with the price of everything going up in the world, whether it is the fact that the digital trends are going that way, whether it is the actual manufacturing thing. Again, it's a reality. I think we all knew we were going towards. When we talked about Project Helix, there was all this conversation. Will it have a disk drive? Is it going to be this? even PlayStation 6 on the heels of an all digital PlayStation 5 and a disc like whatever but even then I thought if we were talking about that you would think PlayStation maybe when we're having these conversations would make the standalone blu-ray drive to plug it in and go right because again now you're into an interesting thing of even if you're using your PlayStation 5 as your blu-ray player for your movies and you have all these blu-ray players now PlayStation 6 coming in doesn't have a disc drive at all and no option for a disc drive like now you got to get a blu-ray player keep your playstation 5 etc which isn't impossible yeah go back to hey don't sell your playstation 5 now no uh and then captain coot says bring back uh cartridges i have to blow into wouldn't that be nice i mean play on nintendo you can't really blow into it but you can you taste it they taste bad yeah yeah yeah uh everybody we run you through the nerdy video game news you need to know about each and every weekday it's kind of funny games alien we couldn't without your support if you love this show pick up a kind of funny membership patreon.com slash kind of funny youtube.com slash kind of funny games apple spotify no matter where you get the show like subscribe share uh but if you subscribe with the membership you get every show ad free you get your daily dose of me and of course you get good karma for supporting an 11 person 11 year old small business if you're a patreon happy hour member of course which is one of those plussed up perks you could call in this very afternoon to our live happy hour where we hang out and just take your calls and chit chat with you.

39:08But right now you're not using your benefits. So here's a word from our sponsors. Hey, things have been really hard lately. Things have been bad in the industry. We're on games daily. It's all about bad stuff all the time. I just want to say, thank you. Thank you for watching us. Thank you for listening to us. Thank you for sharing us with your friends or whatever it is. I'm not even asking you to do anything right now. I just want to say, thank you. Hope you're having a great day. And if not, I hope this made it just a little bit better. I don't know, but thank you. And we're back just that quickly.

39:41Let us move on. To story number three. Metroid Ravenous has apparently been leaked for Nintendo Switch 2. This is Brian at Nintendo Everything. Metroid Ravenous has apparently been leaked for Nintendo Switch 2. A listing for the game supposedly surfaced within Brazil's Ministry of Justice and Public Security system. The page has already been removed, but not before a screenshot was taken. The listing doesn't provide any specific details about the game. However, the classification indicates 2026 as the production year. Metroid Ravenous could very well be the next 2D Metroid title from Nintendo.

40:17It's been about five years since the last game, so that's plenty of time to have a new project ready. Metroid Dread launched for the Nintendo Switch at late. I'm sorry, at the end of 2021. I like that Metroid Dread game. I'd play more. I never did it. and when i finished metroid prime 4 it was let down by how metroid prime 4 went i enjoyed the game but i was like damn i need to go play prime because i never finished prime prime and i was i downloaded dread and i had it on there but there's just a million games to go play yeah so yeah i'm definitely way more of a first person metroid person even though i didn't like prime 4 that much but yeah metroid prime one when i played that the remaster a few years ago changed my life that game was so fucking good um and so like i think i'm i'm definitely in a metroid ish mood Metroid Dread again like I said I enjoyed I'm not the 2D Metroid stuff I think it's fun but it doesn't I'm not like as big of a fan as like Tim for example right Tim loves a 2D Metroid I'm more on the Andy side of like it's cool it's good yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah there's so many I would look forward to playing Ravenous and hoping like they find some ways to amp it up the boss fights in Dread my favorite part really I love the boss fights in Dread fair enough yeah do you think it's this year i mean this is we are running out of fucking time right now it is already july we're still waiting on an ocarina release date which we'll get to a sticker shock on that in a second uh but like you have that rhythm heaven is out this week like uh what you might call it the starfox just bloodborne game that's not bloodborne dusk bloods that's like i think that's still slated for 2020 it's not gonna do we believe no i don't believe it but uh i think it'd be smart to hold this for next year my prediction i'm surprised with this leaking here it was it leaking through like a what was it the store page the brazil's brazil's ministry of justice and public security system okay maybe not a store page what is wait first of all what is that i imagine it's their rating board brazil's ministry of justice and public security system i believe it's yeah you know we gotta find like a more gamified you know call it the brazil ratings board the br the brb ministry was a previously known as the Ministry of Justice.

42:29They got a bunch of different divisions. Nope, no, just simple. Here's what we do. I was open for a very simple thing. That's a weird place for this to leak from. So it includes the Brazilian Advisory Rating System, which establishes the ratings for movies, TV shows, and video games. Okay. Timing of this, I would predict September Direct. Do announce it there for next year. No, you announce it for next year. Okay. How do you feel about the name Metroid Ravenous? Okay. I like the name, or I like the word ravenous. I think it's a good word. Yeah. Do I like it as a name? Metroid ravenous? I don't hate it.

43:06It's in line with Metroid Dread, Metroid ravenous. That's the, you know what I mean? We're going that way with the series of it, I guess. It can draw on me. Yeah. Yeah, I think it's in line with Dread. Ravenous. Nice word to say. It is. It feels good on the mouth, yeah. Good mouthfeel. I need to see the logo. Fair enough. I'm sure we will soon. Bring it to me. more importantly when do we get a fucking release date for ocarina of time we go to number four play asia lists the legend of zelda ocarina of time remake at 60 this is sicker at my nintendo news nintendo has yet to reveal the price point for the eagerly awaited the legend of zelda ocarina of time remake for the nintendo switch 2 but play asia seems to have revealed how much it will cost the retailer has copies listed at 59.99 and you can pre-order the game now at the video game retailer.

43:54Nintendo has yet to announce pricing, but$60 sounds like a safe bet. This seems like a big grain of salt one here, but if it's$60, I'm scared. If it's$60, and I think my prediction about it on the Gamescast where we did our Zelda Ocarina of Time predictions, I think that prediction, which is it'll just be one for one, Ocarina of Time, but it just looks prettier. will probably be on the more correct side of this. Which I'm not mad at. Because that's what Star Fox was, right? Yeah. Star Fox had some more content here and there. But yeah, the thing with his dad in the beginning, right? They had some cut scenes, too.

44:39Love a good cut scene. But I feel like if you're doing... That's 50 bucks, though. That's 50 bucks. But I feel like you're doing that stuff for Ocarina. I guess that is a shorter game. My question is, what would you even add to Ocarina in that vein?

44:54lots of graphics lots of expanding better systems like I don't it's again if they had maybe just shown us anything more than a fucking goddamn CG cutscene you know what I mean give me a fuck where is the goddamn Ocarina direct what is that happening I know we're gonna get it come on three when are you gonna release this shit you gonna put this out in December you gonna put it out before we're gonna shove it in before GTA we're gonna go into September you're not putting it out after GTA so then we're out of time it's coming out in August we're going to direct in a week and then it's going to come out in August how's February looking for you what you doing this February because that might be when you're playing this I think they could do that I think that's better for them than GTA I think there's a good chance that the next we hear from this thing they're like actually February is when we're putting this out because I don't think they want to compete with GTA I think that's a bad idea I'm team don't do it I'm team don't do it I know we're talking Nintendo different platform is the only game that could do it no don't do it here is I agree I agree I agree let's steer for your GTA what how would you feel about two weeks before GTA in November I'd feel good about that yeah right that's my thing where especially if it's just going to be it is Ocarina of Time and it looks better and it's you know whatever it's that that's when you're like okay cool like I look at that and I go I don't know if that what I just said makes me go I gotta see this all the way through it definitely is I gotta get this I gotta have this I love Ocarina if it's that early November then I think you get the date I think we get an Ocarina direct in August I think that timing works out yeah that does work out yeah because right now you want to focus in on Splatoon Raiders that preview up you want to focus on Splatoon Raiders go watch the preview and then there's like another oh Rhythm Heaven also is this month this is week today yeah focus on that right now do I care about Rhythm Heaven we did our review yesterday Tim did his review I talked about how I didn't rage quit it's more of a I don't like this quit I do not like this thing so no I don't really care about it Sky in the chat says I'd get this over GTA and I think again there is that argument that Sky would get it over GTA and kids would people who only own the Nintendo Switch would don't do it old people would don't do it people who like me who are old and just want to play fucking Zelda again they're gonna get it we wouldn't be talking about it maybe that works to their advantage if it's just Ocarina of Time and it looks a bit better maybe that works to their advantage you don't have my argument is that you don't have to do it you don't have to put this out on the anniversary so it comes out the same week as GTA yeah of course not so why would you nobody's forcing Nintendo you know what I mean nobody's just do the two weeks before you're not wrong you are right on a number of these points I want you to know yeah I'm just sick of now I'm still so mad from SGF just a fucking what if we second trade no release date no footage of the game at least the one time in my fucking life I wish it would have been here we go and then at the end it's like Zelda direct on August 15th I'm like okay I thank you some kind of information on where we're going not a year chock full of fucking video games and horrible news in GTA where are you going to put Zelda I don't think Zelda cares about anything else aside from GTA we got all these games coming out this year fuck all we're Zelda Ocarina of Time we'll come out whenever we want except for the same week as GTA that's where I think they come down on we'll talk about it however we want to I guess you'll get a direct you're going to like it I'll be excited yeah just wish i knew what it was and 60 okay whatever like again i it's hard to be it's hard to be upset or excited at a 60 price point now you're like okay more than starfox so maybe more work went into it but not 70 so that's whatever say more than starfox remember nintendo does like the 10 differential thing for digital and physical so it might be 50 you're right you're right you're right this is the physical listing yeah yeah so then it's like okay so then it is just ocarina again but prettier yeah okay i guess maybe i won't what does my rule field fucking look like nintendo it's more grass will it will it fucking wow me i need to be able to walk out of that forest and like and like like wow this looks sharp there's a lot of stuff going on in it because like when you walk when you replay 64 now yeah and you walk into hyrule field you laugh sure like man this is a flat ass texture there's the castle there's one like what are you saying more enemies or are you saying more grass?

49:39Because I think you're getting one of those. I want both. You're going to get more foliage. It's going to look nicer. I think the placement of the enemies and all that shit is going to be the same. That's my prediction. I think it's going to be the same video game but everything's going to look a lot nicer. That's what it's pointing to. Did you play Star Fox? I did play Star Fox. What did you think of that? I loved it. Was it your first time? I played Star Fox before but I've never I've never gotten super duper into Star Fox. I've not done all the routes. Yeah. I pick up Star Fox. I do a run and then I'm good now for years.

50:11Yeah. Put it down for years. Exactly. Fair enough. Let's move on to story. Number five, Final Fantasy seven revelation, getting story expansion past store leak suggests. This is Tom Phillips at IGN. Final Fantasy seven fans are getting excited for a story expansion pass that has been glimpsed as part of a new store leak. The Final Fantasy seven revelation story expansion pass can be seen right now via a listing spotted lurking in the depths of the epic game store database along with placeholders for up to nine dlc packs it's unknown what these dlcs might be for so anything from fully fledged expansions to simple costume or item packs are possible but the existence of a specifically labeled story expansion pass suggests some of these at least will be additions that comprise a fresh narrative already fans are speculating over what the dlcs might comprise with hopes that elements could be added from animated spinoff movie Final Fantasy VII Advent Children or third-person shooter Dirge of Cerberus Final Fantasy VII.

51:09Other fans are excited to see Genesis, the primary antagonist in Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII, an action role-playing spinoff released for the PSP. Remember the PSP. Exactly what will and won't be adapted remains to be seen, though this is likely Square Enix's last and best chance to add extra elements to its Final Fantasy VII remaster project, making you feel as complete as possible cool yeah good for them i i hope i hope the dlc or i hope the game gets an expansion that feels like a victory lap for them because they deserve it sure you know the final fans 7 rebirth the second game didn't really have any major expansion the first one had that the yuffie expansion that came out um and i assume the second one didn't because they just wanted to focus in on making the third one i think they might have even said that in an interview um which is good for them right we're gonna get this game next spring that's super crazy to think about right getting three games within the span of seven years three games of that size like these aren't 10 hour games these are quality games that are 40 to 80 hours long right i think that's super crazy but also good for them and yeah i want to see a victory lap i want to see them take in this moment and make this the most like fan what's the one i'm looking for say fan servicey like we want to you know have a definitive final fantasy seven thing yeah yeah Exactly.

52:28There's another reason that I want Zelda Ocarina to delay into next year because I want Final Fantasy 7 versus Zelda Ocarina to talk again. Again. Again. Again. Let's do it. Okay. Fair enough. But would there be that much talk? No. This is, you know, unless Mike Tyson fighting a child. Who's the child in the sense? Ocarina. But like, hey, we made a brand new Final Fantasy that is doing all these things. It's a remake still. It's a remake still. I mean, I guess, yeah, it is a remake whereas it sounds like Ocarina is leaning towards remaster. What if the report about Ocarina is wrong, though? That would be the exciting.

53:00If it's wrong and it is actually more is more to it, then I think that's a fun conversation. Yeah. For next year. I agree with that. Yeah. I hope that's true. I hope that's true. I hope we have this conversation. I hope so, too. This year or next year. Yeah. Maybe it's out right now. You could only play one. What do you choose in Revelations or Ocarina? I still haven't played the second Final Fantasy 7 remake. Oh, you haven't? No. It came in a weird time for reviews where I was on something else and then everything I saw I was like I don't I don't feel like I enjoyed part one yeah and it was the first Final Fantasy I've enjoyed but it was really the combat not the story characters whatever so like I'm like what was I I mean I know obviously Shinra and I you know okay we're and the thing fell and it's like but I'm not you just summed up the whole first game that's pretty much all that happened I got this fucking dog cat person red talking to me I don't know red 13 he's the homie you know what I mean man you're missing out I probably am wait till you make Kate Siff did you know that they keep making new expansions for Starfield in the creation so I gotta keep playing that you know what I mean that's crazy I didn't know that there's always new questions to go play let's talk about a game you'll be playing sooner than later number six Onimusha Way of the Sword's release date has been moved forward this is Ryan McCaffrey at IGN Capcom has announced that Onimusha Way of the Sword the upcoming action adventure sequel for PC, PS5, Xbox series and Nintendo Switch 2 will now release earlier than previously guided it will be available on September 4th rather than September 25th hell yeah this is huge news because if they're moving this gives me hope maybe I get blood of dawn walker sooner I don't want to wait to move up I'd like to sooner Namco Bandai this is your shot you're putting out a fucking vampire RPG action RPG from some of the folks behind the witcher this thing needs to breathe.

54:58Let's get it out of September. Let's move it on up. Let's move it into August. Bring it up. Yeah. You think they're not coming in hot? I bet they are. I'm hoping they're not. This is hopium. This is a double A. This is hopium. I want to play that game sooner rather than later. Bring it to August. I hope for you because I also want to, you've convinced me, you and Andy have convinced me on blood of Don Walker. Did you like Witcher? uh not really i mean i didn't i didn't not like witcher i think i played it and this i couldn't find daneline i couldn't find him anywhere and when you can't find daneline that's the end of it man played a lot of gwent though oh sure i like to find yeah i'm sure if i went back to it i'd love it okay yeah like i'm i'm excited for everything i'm seeing i'm setting my expectations you know i think this is not going to be witcher 3 so a lot of people are like that yesterday the ign put up nine uh minutes of footage yeah that was uh basically what i had read about in the game and former cover story and it was interesting because i'm on the subreddit of course for uh blood of don't walker and man people were not happy with this footage oh really like this looks horrible what the fuck man the animations are bad the lip sync's bad i'm like looks like a fun vampire rpg that's what i want to go do and that's i see that's my thing is the that fan response is how i felt when i watched the whatever gameplay video watched a year ago that sold me on the game but then it's like hearing people talk about it and talking about the systems and talking about the system seemed cool the vampire thing i'm like okay maybe maybe I shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

56:24Maybe I shouldn't judge a game by its graphics. Hey, man. This is my year of double-A games. You know what I mean? That's what I'm all about. I just want to enjoy the things I'm playing. And I'm excited for that. So moving on up. Moving on up. You know what I mean? Get out of September. Oh, yeah. That is the same. Wait. September 3rd? What was the day for... Onimusha moved to September 4th. Oh, tough. Right? So, yeah. Give me those... Give me that first week of September there. Because right now, September 3rd is Orbitals, Blood of Don Walker, Wolong... Oh, this is Wolong, we master. We will not count that.

56:52And then in the fourth, you're getting Onimusha Remastered. Moving on up. Yeah. Onimusha Way of the Sword. I don't know why I said Remastered. Yeah, that's crazy. Push it a week, Bandai Namco. Put it out right now. Get it out before Ocarina comes in. Yeah, the week before is not that bad. I mean, you got Star Wars Zero Company, but that's fine. Different kind of game. You know what I mean? That's the XCOM one, right? Yes. You have Elden Ring Tarnished Edition for Switch 2, but that's fine. Moving on up. Moving on up. Come on. Let's go. Come on. Get him there. What are we doing over there? Rebel Wolves?

57:21let's do it thank you that's my thing uh bless yes when blood of dawn walker gets moved on up to august i'm gonna be so excited but it's gonna be big old news do you want a pizza bed on it because there's no way it's moving up oh no i don't think so oh no no i i mean i again i'm hoping you yeah this is just hoping i'm hoping for you thank you i appreciate that for me as well uh that'll be big news but actually no i'll pizza bed for just for the hell of it okay sure yeah no there's no way in fact i think it gets delayed fuck you i think you fucking do this don't put that out into the world right now for me.

57:51I think it will. That's a crazy two days. Onimusha? So you're going to push it further into September slash maybe October? I think you push it next year? Maybe. Possibly. Next year might be dramatic. I'll be not furious. Take your time. First week of November. No, no, that's bad. That's bad. Don't do that. Zelda. You know Zelda's right there. We don't know that. Right now you're just looking pretty chill. They're going to move. They're confident they're going to move it forward. They got a lot of good momentum. They don't want to get eaten alive in September. They're a double aid developer. They're Sam over there.

58:27You know what Bandai Namco is doing? Bandai Namco. This is a shout out to you. This isn't as bad as it. They say good enough. Bandai Namco is a publisher that says good enough. They ain't fucking PlayStation. You ain't fucking Naughty Dog. They ain't saying keep going, keep going. They're going to not good enough. There was the Obama quote of a delayed game is eventually good. Malia, delay that game.

58:48I already did it. Didn't I? Yeah, it'd be big news. If I don't want the big news, where do I go? You go to our last story, the Wii News channel. Recover all the small news items you need to know about. Number seven on the Wii News. Mike Biffle is announcing a new game soon over on BS. That's Blue Sky Team. He said, six days till game announcement. Woo! Invite me on your podcast or let's do an interview or whatever. Don't worry, everybody. I have hit him up. I'm sure Biffle will be through soon enough. From VGC, Ubisoft has announced that it has appointed Christoph Hartman to lead its Creative House 2 division.

59:18Hartman, who co-founded 2K Games and served as its president until 2017, has been appointed general manager of Creative House 2. Ubisoft has confirmed. Congratulations to Hartman. Of course, you know him from Death Stranding. Thank you. Ontos has been delayed to 2027. Here we go. Godot is banning almost all use cases for AI code contributions. That's cool. Good for you. Attack on Titan 3 launches this winter on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Nintendo switch to a PC and then rhythm heaven groove official soundtrack is now available on the one the only Nintendo music that's it for we do we of course are gonna boot up kind of find out consolation wrong get that cooking meanwhile some super chats that have gone through okay Cletus ham water says these next few months are Nintendo's to lose keep physical media price out your games reasonably maybe 69.99 for ocarina of time and announce some new games and this might be nintendo's year outside of gta an interesting take i think it's always nintendo yeah nintendo's always killing it i don't yeah what are we talking about yeah i i like what they're doing i here's the thing i don't like that they charged 80 for some of their games yeah but i do like that they explore the scale the idea that a nintendo game can come out for 70 dollars $60,$50, and then $80.

1:00:42I like that. I think that's a smart business strategy. I think it's good for us to have the choice of like, oh man, okay, I know Star Fox is going to be a smaller title, but I know I love Star Fox. I'll pay$50 for that game. Fair enough. 1:03:57Remember Greece? Greece? Gris? Gris? That's what they wrote in there too. So we will continue to say. Godot. I'll just keep saying I don't know what it is. Godot. I think it's similar to that. I guess you said Godot. I'm not getting into it. Godot. I'm not getting into it. I don't care. Godot. I don't care anymore. There's only so much I can worry about Godot. And right now, that's a good thing. Thank you.
