2:35Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah, I added that because here's. Oh, you added that. I added the gaming news stories. Just to throw Andy off. That's really fucked up. On his birthday? I added it when we removed the rigmarole. Because the rigmarole will tell people what the show is. And without that, there's nowhere in the show to say this is a gaming news show. So I was like, if I just put that in the opening line, today's gaming news stories include.
2:58Greg Miller:then that like that solves the problem okay it's me overthinking my producer role on this show i'll be thinking about that for you know for a couple weeks to come now because if i don't say that then like what kind of shows how do they know yeah this is your first time listening you're just

3:35Blessing Adeoye Jr.:coded if you ever stepped foot in a church in 2009 skillet was your whole life like skillet if you ever stepped foot in a church in a specifically white church oh okay maybe not like in a black church then it might be lecrae but if you and kirk franklin let me tell you about her oh i meant to
3:51Greg Miller:put you on to some kirk franklin you were going to yeah um yes donnie mcclerkin soul like uh what was soul praise praise so so like the genre oh gospel gospel gospel that's so i mean honestly
4:06Blessing Adeoye Jr.:that's not far off yeah gospel is basically soul praise yeah close but yeah skillet thousand foot crutch like thousand foot crutch was like the rap rock one and let me tell you there's been some bars really well they're praising jesus oh man bless was the most hyped up i've ever seen him in the

5:48Andy Cortez:a big dozen
5:52Blessing Adeoye Jr.:skillet's most popular song on spotify uh monster has a billion listens i think that's a billion yeah that's a billion a billion
6:02Greg Miller:listens i need them to look into the plays of that i know they're investigating kendrick i need them to look into that
6:10Blessing Adeoye Jr.:half of that might be me you know what i mean just back in high school back in college just like you know banging my head and realizing in real time i don't agree with the views of a lot of the people that surround myself what's spotify also back in 2012 i was like oh this new thing
6:23Greg Miller:brand new little app right here story number one sony is considering holding back playstation 6 until 2028 or 2029 a report claims this comes from chris scullion at vgc sony's considering holding back the release of the ps6 at 2028 and 2029 in an article about the ongoing surge in memory prices, Bloomberg says the upcoming bottleneck of memory production will cause huge ramifications across the industry. Dubbing it the Ramageddon. There's something better there. Oh, you don't like Ramageddon? I feel like we could do a little bit better there.
7:00Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I feel like that's aptly named.
7:02Greg Miller:I feel like that makes sense for it. What about memory loss?
7:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh, come on. Oh, come on. Come on. This man's on today. Damn, dude. That's a birthday voice. As soon as you turn 28. 44. 44? Yeah, 44. You're not 44.
7:16Greg Miller:That's crazy.
7:17Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Looks great for 44. Thank you. That's why I've been saying it.
7:21Greg Miller:It's one of the compliments. Man, Andy looks great for 44. The article asks numerous tech analysts on their views of the ongoing increase in RAM prices. A surge mainly attributed to AI data centers buying up huge quantities of it, making supplies scarce. noting that Apple, Tesla, and at least a dozen other major corporations have warned that the shortage of memory will constrain production in the future. The article claims that Sony and Nintendo are planning on acting accordingly. Citing sources familiar with Sony's strategic thinking, the article claims that Sony Group Corp. is now considering pushing back the debut of its next PlayStation console to 2028 or even 2029, end quote.
8:01Greg Miller:It also claims that Nintendo is considering raising the price of the Nintendo Switch 2 this year. Neither Sony nor Nintendo responded to requests for comment on Bloomberg's article. The article insists that the RAM shortage issue is not going to be resolved anytime soon. Quoting Lenovo CEO Yangcheng, I think, as saying, quote, this structural imbalance between supply and demand is not simply a short-term fluctuation, end quote.
8:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:you ever seen the meme of the person on the bicycle and they take like a stick and they put it in the spokes of the front wheel and then the bicycle like rolls over or whatever that's how i feel with these tech companies when it comes to the ramageddon or as you more aptly put it memory loss this is good memory loss is really good it's not bad yeah but yeah the noting that apple tesla and at least a dozen other major corporations have warned of the shortage of memory and i'm like dang whose fault is that yeah who how did we get here who who was using ai and as their most front-running initiative at their companies would it not have been companies like apple and tesla and at least a dozen other major uh corporations that were doing this and now we're here at the ramageddon um aside from that the headline of the story the the lead of the story i find very fascinating the idea that the playstation 6 is getting delayed to 2028 2029 internally because when we talk about our regular console cycle with a regular lifetime of console usually you're talking about seven years the playstation 4 came out in 2013 we got the ps5 and uh in 2020 2027 if you're just going by standard this is how it goes you would expect late next year you would get a playstation 6 that said why does it feel so early this time around if you would ask me just out of context without me even thinking about the years i would have been like no way we're getting a playstation 6 next year barrett cordian the press corps i got an answer for you uh bless uh let me pull it up it is dev cycles are way too long exactly exactly so like this console generation it feels like think about the amount of games we haven't gotten the amount of studios that haven't put out games even from when we're talking about playstation specifically playstation first part right like we got a blue point game at the beginning of the in 2020 six years later nothing to be found naughty dog hasn't put out a new game this generation uh we'd finally just got one from sucker punch right it was the days gone studio we haven't been one from ben thank you i forget if dreams came out on ps5 or ps4 either way it feels like this generation more so than previous ones we've gotten less games but i guess less games from individual developers right even though i feel like overall it does feel like we're getting more games because more people are making games um but i think there's something about that that makes this generation feel like underwhelming underwhelming like we've barely gotten started like we've not gotten everything out of the tech that we could have yet yeah right i mean when the ps5 pro
11:02Greg Miller:is being kind of rumored and being announced we heard several devs kind of off the record say man we haven't even gotten the most we can out of the PS5 yet.
11:11Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. And I think a lot of right things had to happen
11:16Greg Miller:in order for this to go extraordinarily wrong. And a lot of those right things were Sony pivoting to games as a service and games that were already three years in development, two and a half years, four years in development, those games get sort of taken off and wiped from existence. And that's a massive-ass chunk of time. And especially with you mentioning, you know, and Barrett mentioning how long games are taking to develop, I think that we now have so much less time to fuck up and make a colossal mistake. Yeah. Because pivoting doesn't mean we're going to get back to this other indie project and we'll be done with that a year and a half.
Read the full transcript
11:57Greg Miller:Or I say indie project, smaller project within our team that we were also kind of co-developing. It doesn't really turn around that quickly anymore. Like you have to write the ship of usually leading to layoffs and then, all right, all 300 people at our studio, all 200, whatever, however many it is. Now we have to pivot and make something else. And that's not a quick turnaround. That's going to take a long time. So it's like you're definitely not wrong. I think the pandemic definitely plays with our time, you know, process, how we process time.
12:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And also games getting delayed during the pandemic.
12:31Greg Miller:Getting delayed and I think so many of these massive games getting canceled just attributes to how much worse this cycle has felt. Like how much worse that this console cycle has felt because, again, these aren't things that were getting canceled six months into development. They were pretty deep in and you can't just, all right, let's just flip the switch and go to that other project and be done with that in a year. Nah, it's going to take four to five years.
12:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah, which is like, you know, on the first party side, you know, it sucks if you're a big fan of certain developers, right? If you're a big fan of Sony Santa Monica, it's like, well, we've got God of War Ragnarok, but that's the only game you're going to see for the foreseeable future from them. Hopefully we get this new IP or new game series or whatever it is from Corey Barlog announced soon. But who knows when we're going to get that. If you're a big Naughty Dog fan, you go from PS3 era getting Uncharted 1, 2, and 3 and Last of Us on the same console to now you jump forward and it's like, maybe we get intergalactic here.
13:27Blessing Adeoye Jr.:All that said, though, I then turned to wonder about what that looks like for if Sony was planning to put out a PlayStation 6 in 2027 and now it's looking more like 2028 and probably even more realistically 2029. How do plans shift? Because, for example, you look at a game like Fizzant, which was announced. And when Fizzant was announced, we were all like, man, that's a PlayStation 6 game. In fact, I think they even applied in the announcement that this is a next generation game.
13:56Greg Miller:like this is probably a playstation 6 2030 and on or something like that yeah do does playstation
14:00Blessing Adeoye Jr.:start to look at a game like visit and go ah maybe this is a maybe this game comes out at the end of this generation or do they look at some of their other titles that might have been slated for next gen right what the next insomniac game past wolverine right whatever um i guess other first party things that they were like maybe this will be launched you start to look at it now and go ah we're gonna need some things to fill in that 2028 2029 release slate yeah i don't know man
14:26Greg Miller:And it's such a funky spot to be in, especially for somebody like Kojima Productions, who is very early on in development for a game that we knew we wouldn't see for a long time. I mean, I guess that is the question. Do we think Sony pushes developers like that and go, all right, let's maybe try to scale back visuals and scale back stuff so that things are playable on this current generation? even if maybe they wanted to go for a cross-generation thing now it's seeming more like it might be cross-gen the other way where yes it will be playable on the ps6 whenever that thing is available such a shitty spot to be in yeah and we just gotta we kind of have to hope that this the ai crash happens a lot sooner than later um and there's a great video out that our friend Alana Pierce put up talking about the AI sort of situation with all these different companies kind of just making big promises in hopes that the investors start to deliver and a lot of those promises kind of a lot of investors saying hey this is a lot of bullshit and not actually real and it's not going to do anything in a similar way to what the metaverse was and what you know nfts and everything that we saw five years ago and we just kind of have to wish for this downfall a little bit sooner yeah so that we could just you know raid these uh raid these big ai data centers and just kind of like have a big uh like a big a big flea market sort of situation people just walking down aisles and grabbing little memory like picking the apples from trees
16:08Andy Cortez:remember it was lost yeah found again but then comes like the the interesting thing right of uh with whatever this crash happens it's going to affect the economy at large in like such a substantial way that i don't think any of us are fully prepared for like that was gonna be the
16:25Blessing Adeoye Jr.:next thing i bring up which is like what does that crash look like yeah because for me i'm
16:29Andy Cortez:more scared of the crash than it's it's going to be worse than 2008 i think yeah yeah there will be
16:34Greg Miller:i mean from what a lot of analysts are saying it's more of a it will happen and less of a
16:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:will it happen yeah i mean it has to and it seems to be more of a
16:48Greg Miller:hopefully it won't be as you know um devastating as the 2008 recession but it doesn't seem like it's going to be great last time in our lives we remember
16:58Blessing Adeoye Jr.:a something being invested in this heavily like a piece of tech or like a just a i guess a technology or whatever it is invested this heavily where if you say the words ai the money is going to flow in whether it's a good idea or not i feel like this is the most i at least i remember in my
17:16Greg Miller:adult life i mean it was i would say it was metaverse and and nfts and like not to this
17:20Blessing Adeoye Jr.:level i was gonna say like i feel like this is multiple times past nfts but the i mean it was
17:25Greg Miller:the crypto mining situation where gpus were insanely tough to get yeah you know four four three years ago or whatever where it was gpus that were the hot commodity because people were in the pandemic making their own crypto mining farms and buying up gpus and people had their little rig set up so they could have a fake machine mine fake crypt like the thing i'll
17:48Blessing Adeoye Jr.:say about this because people are bringing up like you know entity blockchain um somebody said honestly the dot-com boom and that's what comes to mind i think you have to go that far back to talk about like something that is becoming this integrated with everything because even with nfts or with blockchain it's like well i can i at those times i could have avoided both those things like sure i open up the internet and i see people talking about nfts but it's like it wasn't
18:13Andy Cortez:everywhere and it faded away whereas like when those things started to go away not everything around them that was integrated to them like fell apart right exactly where now for ai i there's
18:25Blessing Adeoye Jr.:it's impossible to not use ai i google search something and it's an ai overview of like everything right i use any app and it's ai this like it is integrated with everything and so i'm so interested slash mostly scared of all right when shit crashes and the money starts to starts to shorten up in terms of how much people want to invest in ai what does that look like for every single thing that ai is involved in i know ai just doesn't disappear and everything falls away right it's not fucking like y2k or anything like that but i i i just don't know what that looks like as far as the end for the larger world or just the games industry for the large for the larger world honestly is what i'm talking about but even games industry right like there are so
19:09Greg Miller:many ai integrated tools there's so many games that i'd say things are already not great yeah and things will get yeah that's part of the worst that's one of the worst things is like it'd be one thing if we were in this gigantic upswing and then started to get doom and gloom about everything being awful but it's like wow everybody's hiring right now everybody's employed everybody's making money but like we're not and things could just get worse and people are just the world is a fucking nightmare. It's just a slot machine for the richest people on the planet. Yeah.
19:43Andy Cortez:To bring it back to the conversation about consoles at least I guess the question I have for y 'all is what do you think if we get to the bubble popping of AI what do we think that does for possibly delaying these consoles even further because from what I remember right like 2008 crash like that uh generation of consoles uh stick around much longer because of what people can actually afford and these businesses actually trying to think about like when is the actual like right time to put something the next thing out yeah because people don't have money yeah so it's like okay maybe we defeat the ram shortage but now like everything else is fucked like what
20:26Blessing Adeoye Jr.:do you think that does i mean i think that it looks like consoles being marketed towards the people who do have money which means that less people are going to be able to afford consoles unfortunately but i also think that that means that they're going to make ps5 software even longer like this the cross-generation um releases that we got from ps4 to ps5 where even now you'll see yeah you still see ps4 games coming out i think for ps the playstation 6 generation you're going to be you're going to see so many ps5 skews um which is going to make marketing completely different i i i wonder how they're going to talk about the playstation 6 as far as like this is the reason why you need to get one like this is what's going to separate your experience because i don't think it's going to be the games i think the exclusivity of oh this game is only available on ps6 you're not going to see that for a very long time let us know what you think about
21:14Greg Miller:just how everything's awful in the comments down below or you could also type in some super chats and support the company monetarily. Keep the lights and the mics on. Let's move on to story number two because I just hate getting all doom and gloom about AI. Story number two. Solid Snake, voiced by David Hader, is back in Rainbow Six Siege. This comes from Ethan Gatch at Kotaku. Metal Gear Solid's bandana furrowing snake is teaming up with Splinter Cell's Sam Fisher and the rest of the Rainbow Six Siege roster as the tactical shooter's newest operator. After teasing the collaboration earlier this year, Ubisoft finally pulled back the curtain with a reveal trailer that has the two heavyweights of video game espionage bro-ing it out before taking down some baddies.
22:01Greg Miller:The Solid Snake operator arrives in Rainbow Six Siege with Operation Silent Hunt in the new season on March 3rd. One of the big questions facing the crossover was whether David Hayter, the original voice of Konami's protagonist, created by Hideo Kojima, would be returning for such a weird and unexpected side project. The new trailer reveals that the answer is yes. The reveal trailer shows Snake doing snake stuff, like hiding around corners, taking enemies out, unhinging his jaw to eat an egg. That's just a joke. I added that myself. And taking out enemies with a silenced weapon before sending in a smoke grenade and handing out takedowns.
22:39Greg Miller:Sam Fisher pops up at the end. The two embrace Predator style, and Snake quips about soldiers like us never getting a moment's rest as a new alert pops up on his pager.
22:51Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I heard Solid Snake likes to do this thing where he puts a boiled egg in his mouth and then like squeezes mayonnaise in there. He calls it a man egg.
23:00Greg Miller:That's from Arrested Development. That's from Arrested Development. I like that show. Did you just do an egg thing? You just kept with the egg theme, huh? Fascinating. Yeah, I just started it. I imagine the snakes like unhinging their jaw because he said, you know.
23:14Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh, you're talking about little. Okay, I see. Yeah, he said he was doing snake things. No, that's good. It wasn't about eggs, bless. Honestly, I wasn't paying attention until he said the thing about the egg. And so I didn't even connect to the snake reference. I thought you were just being random and being like, oh, yes. Solid snake loves eggs.
23:31Greg Miller:I was like, oh, I'm doing a snake thing. I was throwing world, brother. So in this trailer, when I watched it over the weekend, I wasn't even sure that it was David Hayter. because David Hayter doing a much more like toned down version of the snake sort of voice. When the first couple of lines he says, I was like, I don't even know. Is that David Hayter? Can I get audio? Because I actually haven't listened to this trailer. And then you start to hear that, like that sort of thing. But it takes a while to kind of get going. For audio listeners, snake is sneaking.
24:15Andy Cortez:I'm here.
24:17Greg Miller:Yeah, I hear that. I'm like, I don't know who that is. I feel like I heard Snake there. It takes a while to get like quintessential Snake.
24:31Greg Miller:Damn, look at that Sulton radar.
24:42Greg Miller:One of these siege abilities has to be like a roundhouse kick.
24:45Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh, it's gotta be.
24:49Greg Miller:Kept you waiting, huh?
24:54Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Kept you waiting, huh? Oh, yeah, see? That's where I hear the hate. That's where I hear the hate.
24:58Greg Miller:It never hurts to take things slow.
25:05Greg Miller:that's too many teams for a siege squad soldiers like us
25:09Andy Cortez:never get the chance
25:11Tim Gettys:there's always one more fight
25:14Greg Miller:I mean that's like come on I'm not a siege guy necessarily we had a lot of fun with it last year when we played for that one week honestly a week I'll never forget
25:23Blessing Adeoye Jr.:but that got me hyped I mean come on I'll go back for this I'll play a couple games for this now what I want to know is what did Roger say in chat because a lot of people are replying to Roger
25:31Andy Cortez:he said Sam over Snake that's crazy I think we gotta fire him
25:37Blessing Adeoye Jr.:he doesn't know he hasn't played the Metal Gears has he I guess he played Metal Gear Solid 1
25:43Andy Cortez:he's not experienced the full saga yeah he needs to go through the journey
25:46Blessing Adeoye Jr.:like Mike and I did yeah he doesn't know
25:48Greg Miller:he doesn't know soldiers like us so this you're saying this will bring you back yeah it'll bring
25:54Blessing Adeoye Jr.:me back for at least a couple games I am I mean you know me i love i do love rainbow six it's one of those ones where it's like you ever think about your favorite multiplayer games in like in their prime yeah like oh yeah you know 2016 overwatch like i feel like that's me with siege where it's like man my my nostalgia for siege is so strong even though it's not like i'm going back and playing it all the time because there's just other things to play and i i already put in my hundred hours or whatever right but something like this yeah this will bring me back i feel like i had a lot of fun when we did the week last year
26:22Greg Miller:what are the abilities i mentioned a roundhouse kick possibly being one of the tactical sort of devices right we saw a soliton radar yeah so maybe he like always kind of has like a permanent uav or maybe he's always got i mean that would be cheating but maybe he would have something that is on cooldown that is like you know maybe he gets to call in and you know maybe we get a little
26:52Blessing Adeoye Jr.:the snake because the first thing comes to mind is he has like a special gun he can equip that is a silenced um like gun that puts people to sleep essentially right you hit somebody and then after two seconds they fall asleep for a few seconds the remote control rocket then a key to miss oh
27:07Greg Miller:then the key to missile will be pretty sick that that could be a cool one yeah that's one of the more kind of underground things right well i guess no some ass pros has an akita missile when you kind of control the rocket. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's see, what else? The box? Maybe he could be, like, he could just hide in a couch. I read somewhere they don't have the box.
27:31Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Do we have gameplay? Because somebody in chat said you got to watch the gameplay, and I didn't realize there was gameplay. Yeah, somebody says there's an overview trailer.
27:37Greg Miller:Oh, shit, okay. So we do have it. Adaptive camo, duh, that's a great one.
27:41Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Adaptive camo, yeah, makes so much sense. That's a fantastic one. That's actually really cool. You can pull that off, where if you're laying down on any surface,
27:47Greg Miller:so you just look like that yeah i i think that could look really cool visually with tech nowadays you know with how far tech has gone it will be weird playing a solid snake in first person that seat feels a little bit like man uh you do that in like metal gear 2 a lot
28:06Blessing Adeoye Jr.:when oh yeah i guess in no three you do that as well here we go here's gameplay here's the
28:12Greg Miller:gameplay yeah we got so he's got like a handheld uav for the audio listeners and on the bottom says all clear maybe one of the bad distractions is like the music get the music pops up so you can't hear bad guys if you do something wrong if you're trying to sneak you just hear like you know like just kind of pop up and pop off all right so he's constantly he's got this little handheld radar thing yeah his radar is like his main ability it's always up in his face it looks very much like the heartbeat sensor when you were playing warzone back in the day
28:47Blessing Adeoye Jr.:is that is that what we associate with solid snake uh like a radar no not really a handheld
28:52Greg Miller:radar no because i never knew that thing was handheld to begin with like this is what i'm talking about right here yeah silenced pistol got a little silenced pistol right there he's always got this thing up oh that was cool yeah i bet you it's gonna sound really good too so the radar is just constantly up precision mode you drop the diffuser maybe there could be an ability where you fake out the enemy and you start off as what you think is solid snake but ends up being a different character like the right and
29:25Blessing Adeoye Jr.:what's funny is i was thinking about if you were to continue this collaboration who would you add next and i think raiden would be pretty fun well there are a lot of character skins they're adding
29:34Greg Miller:for the MGS characters. Oh, okay. Unless I got faked out by the internet, but I'm pretty sure that they are adding like Ocelot, old Ocelot as one of the character skins for the other characters. So the other characters should have kind of cosmetics that you could buy.
29:53Blessing Adeoye Jr.:People are saying that the, I think one of the guns was the FAMAS.
29:56Greg Miller:Oh, the FAMAS. Yeah.
29:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I was going to say, I was going to pronounce it, but I was like, what if I'm pronouncing it wrong this whole time?
30:01Greg Miller:Well, as a kid, I would always say FAMAS back in the day.
30:03Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Because I would probably say FAMAS, but I looked at it for a second. I was like, what if it's pronounced famous? I mispronounce it.
30:11Greg Miller:Story number three. Bloober Team's big reveal is Layers of Fear 3. This comes from Vicky Blake at Eurogamer. Bloober Team's countdown to Valentine's Day has ended. And despite all those Rose references, it's not a rule of Rose revival, but it is, in fact, Layers of Fear 3. While the website had spurred all kinds of theories, for instance, taking the capital letters from the word salad on the site Remmazd Newell Seraho Ovam Sayurd Nailed it. is an anagram of Kronos leading some to speculate that this is a teaser for DLC for Kronos The New Dawn. Bloober team has marked the 10th anniversary of the horror game with a confirmation of a third installment.
30:54Greg Miller:There was no gameplay to showcase but we were treated to a strange live action teaser in which we were told quote the door won't stay closed end quote unfortunately there's no other information either such as a release date kind of fascinating did you ever play the layers of fear games i i did only on maybe a party mode or two way back in the day i was gonna say i think i watched a kind of funny let's play a layers of fear and that's yeah yeah i think we i think we may have done some sort of sponsored event i was always really impressed by how freaky the world would kind of change around the character but i don't really have a touchstone to layers of fear and i didn't know it was the type of franchise i was worth teasing in this way to be honest with you yeah and i'm i'm surprised
31:37Blessing Adeoye Jr.:but also impressed that blooper team is going back to their ip that like they have this history with because i think my first time being aware of blooper team was probably with layers of fear yeah um but for a studio that's now expanded their horizons a bit doing silent hill um i feel like they have another game that's announced right the medium they did them oh they did the medium chronos chronos that's what i was thinking of yeah um very fascinating very interesting to see that they're like no yeah we're still we still want to do shit with layers of fear right like that tells me that they have a solid probably a core audience there that cares and wants to see more of the fact that they're down to tease it like this yeah and i also do think these games
32:16Greg Miller:pop off pretty nicely on for content creators and for content creators audiences the people who love gravitating towards the you know the marker pliers of the world and and people that love watching horror content and we know us kind of telling greg how popular poppy's playtime is or um bendy and the ink machine and how like those have cultivated audiences so it's like it's never a bad idea to make another horror game i think that they will we've seen that they could always kind of pop off in interesting ways when it comes to sales like ways that is are really unexpected
32:51Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And they do have Silent Hill 1 remake in development too, I believe.
32:55Greg Miller:Okay, fascinating.
32:56Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And so to have that balance, that rotation of, hey, we'll give one for y 'all and we'll do one for us, I think that's a nice thing to have as a studio. That way you can get your money doing this bigger IP that you're licensing. But then also, here's something for in case we don't get an IP anymore, we're still maintaining our own thing. That way, keep the ship afloat. I think that's cool.
33:18Greg Miller:I have a super chat I want to get to from the one Radek Grabowski who says friendly birthday tax happy birthday Andy I wish you all the best shout out to Radek and all of the is it his birthday tax or your birthday tax it's my birthday well friendly birthday friendly birthday oh I see I see I see oh yeah hell yeah I was about to think oh we have the same birthday but Radek shout out to Radek for you know being very supportive for the Witcher playthrough that I've been doing very very good pretty good video game turns out Witcher 3? Witcher 3, yeah. Yeah, I heard it's pretty good. You also check it out.
33:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Let me tell you, I was so excited when you came in and you're like, I did the Bloody Baron quest. Because that's the main thing I remember. There are three things I remember from The Witcher 3. Gwent, number one. I spent, honestly, if I didn't play Gwent, I probably would have beaten that game. I spent so many hours of Witcher 3 only playing Gwent.
34:10Greg Miller:Do you think it knocked you off your trail?
34:11Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It for sure knocked me off my trail. It became Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Kingdom Simulator where I'm like, bring me the next card player. I'm only here looking for people who play Gwent. So that's my number one takeaway from The Witcher 3. Two, Bloody Baron, that whole quest, incredible. Fucking heartbreaking also.
34:29Greg Miller:Yeah.
34:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Number three, looking for Dandelion. I couldn't find that motherfucker. Dandelion.
34:35Greg Miller:At a certain point, I was like, I'm done. I'm playing FIFA. That's what I'm doing right now. I'm currently in the middle of that. You're still looking for Dandelion? Well, I've been kind of doing a lot of different things, trying to cover the area. I've had a lot of very helpful kind of kind of funny community members DMing me and saying, hey, you know, if you got to if you got to do some missions off stream, these are the ones I would recommend. But these ones you got to do on camera. Like these are the ones that people are going to want to see reactions to. So, yeah, I'm currently kind of doing Dandelion, like the search for Dandelion and off stream.
35:07Greg Miller:I played a lot of Gwen yesterday.
35:09Andy Cortez:Hell yeah. Now, Bless, do you think you never found Dandelion because you're so distracted by Gwen?
35:14Blessing Adeoye Jr.:for sure and then after a while i was like i'm bored i'm playing fufa 15 yeah yeah i walked up
35:20Greg Miller:to that good shit walked up to a lot of people who were maybe missing their their wife who went missing in the woods and i find a blood a bloody body but really it's just all about going back and saying like do you play any gwent where are the gwent cards at you know like that's what i love dude it's my favorite thing just interrupting a really important mission and just asking for
35:39Blessing Adeoye Jr.:where the gwent is how does the open world hold up because i remember that being like a it's a moment of riding my riding roach through the world and like the way the lighting would peer through the trees and like you would have fucked up shit in the world like bodies hanging oh yeah
35:52Greg Miller:it's like damn dude i mean well with the next gen version it looks amazing and then i have a butt load of mods on top of it even pushing it further uh when it comes to the way the shadowing and
36:02Blessing Adeoye Jr.:ray tracing goes you've been telling me a lot i know you're trying to throw to add but listen you've been telling me a lot about like you know you're streaming things on pc and you're like modding them to make them look better and uh i've never so as a sonic fan i've never played through sonic adventure 2 which is like the sonic game you know what i mean um and so i bought it the other day thinking like i'll probably stream this at some point it'd probably be fun as a sonic fan to have my first experience playing through sonic adventure 2 battle um i started looking online and people were like yo if you're gonna play sonic 2 on pc you should use these packs like these these mods to make it look pretty and so now i'm like i'm i'm falling down the rabbit hole a little bit of like, how do I make Sonic Adventure 2 look as good as possible?
36:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Dude, hell yeah.
36:41Greg Miller:That's exciting.
36:41Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah.
36:42Greg Miller:I'll tell you what else is exciting.
36:44Blessing Adeoye Jr.:No, no, no. No, no, no.
36:46Greg Miller:Oh, that's not...
36:47Blessing Adeoye Jr.:We can't do... This is not ad appropriate. We can't do this right before the... Oh, God. Oh, we ruined it.
36:53Greg Miller:I'll tell you what else is exciting. Getting paid by some amazing sponsors that you'll have to listen to right now.

41:39Blessing Adeoye Jr.:On YouTube, 531 million views. Oh my God. Yeah, they were a big deal.
41:44Greg Miller:That is crazy. Let me see what that like AdSense revenue is. It's got to be ridiculous. Story number four. Rest in peace to a couple of gaming legends. Hideki Sato, designer of all Sega consoles, has died. This comes from Andy Robinson at VGC. Hideki Sato, the designer behind virtually every Sega console and the company's former president, has died at age 77. Japanese games outlet Beep 21 reports that Sato passed away this weekend. Sega has published a statement following news of Sato's passing. Quote, We are deeply saddened to learn the passing of Hideki Sato, who served as president of Sega from 2001 to 2003, it said.
42:27Greg Miller:Sega would like to offer its condolences to his family and friends. Quote, Starting his career with the development of arcade machines, Mr. Sato was instrumental in the development of iconic home consoles, including the SG-1000, SC-3000, Mega Drive slash Sega Genesis, and Sega Saturn and the Dreamcast. His leadership helped lay the foundation of Sega, and his contributions had a significant and lasting impact on the entire gaming industry. We will always remember his contributions to our company, and all of us at Sega extend our deepest condolences as we honor his memory.
43:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:R.I.P.
43:05Greg Miller:Rest in peace.
43:06Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. I mean, we're going to talk about another one here in a second. but like it's wild to see video games be an old enough industry to now we're seeing legends come
43:16Greg Miller:through and like pass away yeah a lot of the founders a lot of the the the ogs right in the industry ogs i like made this uh what it is and also like very cool you know uh thing he did here
43:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:right like both being president of sega at the time but like designing all of sega's consoles especially let me tell you man the dreamcast first time i saw a dreamcast in person which might have also been at church uh i was like man is skillet in the background skillet was playing faintly in the background i don't think skillet was a band yet um but i remember being like yo what is that because i grew up with an n64 right and i i i either knew n64 or playstation 2 right see somebody has a dreamcast i'm like or i see the the dreamcast and the kids church and i'm like what is that and pick it up and people are playing like sonic adventure i was like this is the coolest thing this is why you tell me that memory card has a screen on it like that controller
44:10Andy Cortez:looking insane oh my god you're telling me the church introduced you to sonic damn you know
44:16Blessing Adeoye Jr.:this isn't even i didn't see we don't claim this i mean this is biblical sonic is what you're saying sonic fans don't claim sonic oh that's a lie actually Sonic fans. No, because there are cool things about Sonic 06. The game sucked. But the characters we liked. But we don't claim the kiss.
44:33Greg Miller:We don't claim the kiss. We don't claim the kiss.
44:35Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Audio listeners, he keeps playing the part in Sonic 06. You know the part.
44:39Greg Miller:Yeah. You know the part. And another sad story. Bloodstained, the Scarlet Engagement creative director Shutaro Ida dies at 52. This comes from Sal Romano at Gamatsu. Shitaro Ida, creative director behind the upcoming Bloodstained, The Scarlet Engagement, has died at age 52 after one and a half years of battle with cancer, developer Artplay announced. Quote, Shitaro has contributed significantly to the development of the gaming industry through the creation of numerous works, reads a message from Artplay co-founder Koji Igarashi. His passing is deeply regrettable, especially given the great promise of his future endeavors.
45:19Greg Miller:The development of Bloodstained, the secret engagement which Shutaro was leading, is now at its final stages. We will carry forward his legacy and strive with all of our strength to complete this work worthy of his vision and name. End quote. Ida was also the director of Bloodstained Ritual of the Night and contributed to the development of various Castlevania games and Metal Gear Solid V, The Phantom Pain.
45:43Blessing Adeoye Jr.:again rest in peace sad weekend man sad weekend you know especially like age 52 that's way too young insane fuck cancer yeah of course um and also just very sad because i we had a similar story uh last year of somebody who passed away as their new game was finishing development right and like you know to not be able to see this project through all the way of course like you know i don't know that one very much like hits me in the heart of like damn dude um but our hearts go out to people around him people that worked at the studio his family of course and all that
46:15Greg Miller:and still putting in the work one and a half years into that battle is like just yeah heartbreaking and quite the bummer so our hearts go out to their families story number five this is going to be as awkward of a transition as you can get but that's just kind of how the news goes um mike so mike mike got to preview some new battlefield stuff and I think Barrett is kind of talking off camera to Mike in hopes that Mike comes out here, but he doesn't have his headphones on. So I don't know if he knows that we're even going to be transitioning this soon to the new story.
46:51Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah, usually Mike listens to the show. So I assume that by now he would be stationed up at the door ready to go. Because I did warn him. I did tell him that he's right before.
47:00Greg Miller:I thought he'd be on deck right now.
47:02Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Barrett's not even listening. Oh, there he is. There's Snowbike Mike.
47:05Greg Miller:There's Snowbike Mike. Mike, we need your energy. We're coming off of sad news. Let's turn this show around, Mike. I saw Mike as me, Roger, and Kevin were talking about a video game. Mike was headphones on playing some Battlefield, and he's here to talk all about it. He's also strutting in.
47:27Tim Gettys:Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Now, here's the deal. I'm walking like that because I got my ass whooped this weekend by Andy Cortez and Mario Tennis. And I'm a little frustrated at him because he writes to me. Y 'all played Mario Tennis this weekend together? Yeah. Well, it was pretty fucked up. He took his aggression and anger out on me, Bless, when he should have been taking it out on you. Okay? I get the message.
47:51Greg Miller:Look, hold on. After getting our ass whooped by Nick and Bless all damn day. Yeah. Although we won the final match, and that's really all that matters. That's all that matters. That's the main one. But Mike was playing. I was also tricked because I hop into a stream and he's doing this. I see like I'm playing ranked, but he's not playing he's just moving the controller as he's playing
48:11Tim Gettys:Talk about how bismal that game is You can't play motion controls besides in the motion control section, which is bullshit. Okay, then when you go to play ranked, they have ranked doubles You think, oh, let's squat up with the homies No, you just squat up with a random person Who thought of that? I want to play ranked with friends That's the most insane thing I've ever heard of in my entire life.
48:31Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It's Nintendo. All right. You already know what the vibe is. I don't want to hear any slander about Mario Tennis out of anybody's mouth in the studio. Okay. Because I played that game all weekend. Yeah. And that might be the best Mario sports game ever created. Well, we're going to talk about that. We're going to talk about it. You and I are going to talk about that.
48:44Tim Gettys:Well, you should play Andy because Andy's cheap. Andy doesn't want the smoke. Okay. Andy's cheap.
48:47Greg Miller:I'll take it. I'll take it.
48:48Tim Gettys:I can't believe he whooped my butt like that.
48:51Greg Miller:Mike, you got to play some Battlefield from an upcoming season. Yeah.
48:55Tim Gettys:What's going on there, team? I have your Battlefield 6 Season 2 rundown that I want to talk with all of you. I got to jump into the newest map that will drop tomorrow. So, of course, Season 2 starts on February 17th. They're splitting the season into three sections, Bless, which I really like. Every month is a different vibe. So first month in February 17th will be Extreme Measures. That's what I got to try out with the new map. And then Nightfall March 17th. And then Hunter slash Prey on April 14th. some highlights for the later stuff because i only got to see the early stuff this nightfall very exciting they have a new map and they're gonna have a nightfall mode which is like of course all blacked out super dark you gotta use your flashlights or your night vision very cool vibes on that one they'll have limited time modes on different maps with that and i just really love the vibe of like going in dark you see like they have like little very little lights and you'll see like movement over there then they'll be in the dark shadows it's like that was super cool but Were you playing on mic with people?
49:56Tim Gettys:Yeah, Modern Warzone was talking to me and yapping at me. Okay, okay. I wasn't going full Snowmike mic on this press briefing.
50:03Greg Miller:I didn't think you were talking to anybody, but then I would hear every once in a while, you're my boy! Yeah. And I was like, is he just talking to himself? I didn't know.
50:10Tim Gettys:So what is new coming to Battlefield 6 Season 2? Some really fun stuff here when we talk about extreme measures. The biggest new one is the VL7 Psychoactive Smoke. The hell? Really cool one that you're going to see here in limited time modes and different game offerings is this VL seven psychoactive smoke. So we played on the new map contaminated. And so on the new map in the new game mode that they'll have the limited time mode, they have all these, all the points on the map map. Very good. Right. Set up in the European mountain side at just at a German air base. Kind of think of a, a tight mountain cauldron.
50:49Tim Gettys:Some really great points of interest from the actual military base. There's some small houses outside. What I loved was they have this big jagged mountain in the middle of the map with an underpass road to go through. That was one of the points. So you go over it, under it. Really good map design. Really liked the map. But the interesting stuff with the psychoactive smoke is a couple of different capture points had the smoke just drenched all over it. And so when you go into the smoke, you start to lose your mind, right? So now they've added a gas mask mechanic that you put on so you're not breathing in the smoke.
51:23Tim Gettys:But when you're in the smoke, you're not taking damage, but you'll start to hallucinate, which is really creepy, right? You could hear footsteps that weren't real. You would start to see, like, moving shadows of, like, player outlines, but they weren't player outlines. So every time you'd be sitting in the smoke and you didn't have the gas mask on, you'd be looking all sorts. You'd be looking left, looking right, shooting at things that weren't real. Really fun mechanic in this one. just like a small nice addition that I really dug. How hard is it to find the gas mask? You have the gas mask. Oh, okay.
51:52Tim Gettys:You just press shift and you automatically put it on. So the gas mask mechanic was really cool with that. I thought the smoke was really fun to disorient you and get you kind of lost. The new map, I really enjoyed the look of it. Not too big. I would call it like a small medium map. You could get from point A to point B all the way across the map in pretty good momentum, movement time, but not too large. You have three new guns, two new gadgets, and Andy, a brand new helicopter. Oh, shit. The AH-6 Little Bird is in, and that's like your little small helicopter where you're firing off the Gatling gun in the front.
52:29Tim Gettys:Way easier to control than the other one. Is it a single rider? Yeah, I think so. Maybe two people. I was always solo because I wasn't squatted up with anyone, so nobody was joining on me.
52:38Greg Miller:Gotcha.
52:38Tim Gettys:But I was whipping that thing. Yeah. The other ones, you know, didn't feel as good, mouse and keyboard. this one felt tight controls which i really really enjoyed and i was spraying things with the gatling gun i died most of the time i don't believe what else do i have for you guys uh new guns you have a new markmanship rifle you have a new assault rifle and a new light machine gun the new gadgets you have a new air defense large launcher and what i liked the ht uh the hti mk2 hardware suppression system the hell is that exactly really crazy stuff. Spots all nearby electronics and explosive gadgets as well as targets in the middle of a locked-on process.
53:19Tim Gettys:Take aim and activate the device to intercept missiles and destroy electronic gadgets. So you can kind of be like the anti-gadget guy. It's like an AOE?
53:28Greg Miller:Oh, gotcha.
53:29Tim Gettys:I really liked that. Battle Royale, your Redsec will get limited time modes with the VL7 gas. And then some things to look forward to, Bless. New map, Nightfall mode, like I said, and get this, motorcycles are coming. Oh, shit. That is pretty cool. That's cool. That's your rundown of Battlefield Season 6 or Battlefield 6 Season 2. The question is this. I jumped back in, and it's like, man, that's a good game. Yeah, no, it is. It's a really good game. When I give you guys the rundown of that, where do you stand with Battlefield? Because I know it's been a packed fall into winter. I know it's been a packed spring here, but you had Ark Raiders.
54:14Tim Gettys:You had Call of Duty. You had Battlefield. You got Overwatch again. Marvel Rivals never left. Does this entice you to get back on RedSec or Battlefield 6?
54:24Blessing Adeoye Jr.:No, not at all. But I'm happy for the people that are in it, right? If you're somebody who has chosen Battlefield 6 as their multiplayer game of choice, that sounds like a bunch of shit that could be exciting for you, especially motorcycles. Motorcycles are sick. I want to see what the motorcycles look like. But aside from that, right, like Battlefield 6 was one that I was having fun with jumping with y 'all that first week that it came out. But I've not seen myself go back since.
54:46Greg Miller:I would hop back for a couple of days on a kind of funny stream or something. But in the, you know, in this era where I am so back on Overwatch, like it's not even it's not even. Yeah, I've been playing some Overwatch. It's like I want to play Overwatch at all times. And then I spend my even late, late, later nights playing Deadlock. I'm just, I'm so limited by that time. And maybe if I wasn't playing a gigantic 200-hour RPG like The Witcher 3, maybe I could fit in some DeadSec time. Because the game is very good. There's no denying that Battlefield and RedSec were some of my, like, playing that RedSec mode was so much fun.
55:29Greg Miller:I wish we played more of that on stream. But it's just so hard to find the time.
55:35Tim Gettys:Well, they got a big update coming for you. I love that they've broken it down for the whole season. It's three months, but each month you get a little taste of something new. The new map. Very good. Very exciting. I don't know if it's enough to pull me back in. I'm a big deadlock craze right now.
55:49Greg Miller:Yeah.
55:49Tim Gettys:I'm high on deadlock right now. Played deadlock at one o 'clock in the morning last night. Trying on new heroes. Oh, shit. For real.
55:57Greg Miller:I want to hopped on, but I knew that I am so tired. I got to like try to get some sleep. But yeah, the dude deadlock's been so good. That's your Battlefield 6 update. That's your Battlefield 6 update. Thank you, Mike. Everybody give it for Snowback, Mike.
56:10Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I told him he only had to do 60 seconds. I was like, hey, if you can come in for just a minute and talk about Battlefield 6. That was, how long was that?
56:18Greg Miller:You asked for an inch, he gives you a mile. That was a mile. Wow. And it was a great mile. I'd like to get to a super chat here from someone who is near and dear to the Kind of Funny Operations. This is a Kind of Funny Patreon supporter, producer, the one and only Delaney Twining. with a massive super chat.
56:37Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Okay.
56:38Greg Miller:$200 super chat. Whoa. Birthday tax. I turn 40 tomorrow. Thank you to Kind of Funny and the community for getting me through these last 11 years. 56:58Greg Miller:That's beautiful. Over the hill. Hitting that hill.
57:00Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Now, you know,$200. We could keep that for ourselves. We don't have to tell anybody. I don't think that's how the wiring works. Tim's not here.
57:10Greg Miller:I'm going to consider it.
57:11Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I don't think Greg is in today. I don't see him on the schedule. Nick doesn't know anything about what happens at this company.
57:16Andy Cortez:Yeah, as long as we keep the conversation in here. He's not paying attention to shows. He doesn't watch the show.
57:22Blessing Adeoye Jr.:The three of us. 12 bucks for you. Oh, shit. Yeah, 12 bucks for Bear, and then me and you, we go get a fancy lunch.
57:27Greg Miller:Oh, I do owe you a lunch because you whooped our ass in Mario Tennis.
57:31Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh, yeah, you do owe me a lunch.
57:32Greg Miller:Yeah. I'll get your lunch today. Thank you. On my birthday. It's crazy. I'm just so generous. Also, you still owe me a pizza plus.
57:39Blessing Adeoye Jr.:What if Andy gets me a pizza? What if? I'm thinking Pizza Hut, you know? Oh, baby. The three of us. Oh, baby. Come on.
57:49Greg Miller:Dave Bro with a$2 super chat says, birthday tax for me and happy birthday to Andy. Happy birthday to you, Dave Bro. Thanks for your$2 super chat. Sasquatch says, peep dream fatigue. It's his homies band. that's a cool name yeah i like that name kind of like memory loss man i crashed come on that was great i mean that was the only good thing i did arguably the whole show just a lot of like word flubbing and not being able to read king kegel with a two dollar super chat says snake seems like metal gear solid one face msgs2 suit and ms and metal gear 2 radar yeah i didn't even think about metal gear yeah so i was that's one thing i was definitely noticing is like it's it's the Metal Gear Solid 2 suit, but he doesn't have the Metal Gear Solid 1 hair.
58:36Greg Miller:He's got the long hair. He has the MGS2 hair.
58:40Blessing Adeoye Jr.:You know who else is in MGS2? Raiden.
58:43Greg Miller:Damn, dude.
58:44Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah, and Raiden's girlfriend. That turned out to be a robot. Spoilers. Damn. What was her name again? Rose?
58:51Greg Miller:Rose? Yeah. She could have saved DiCaprio. Turn off the game. Story, or not story $5 Super Chat from Napoleon Blown Apart Says, I fell asleep at a Skillet concert After staying up all night for the Halo 2 Midnight launch, going to school And then straight to the concert Man, you could not have encapsulated the year 2001 More specifically 2002? What, for Halo 2? Yeah, 2004? I would say 2004
59:21Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It was 11-11 There's no way Skillet was around in 2002
59:28Greg Miller:Halo 2 was 2004 it's the ones in the month 11 of November that always make me think it's 11-11-01 Side of Fries says gotta look at the skins coming too Side of Fries talking about the skins coming from Metal Gear Solid 2 it's not like Mike is sauntering back in here
59:49Tim Gettys:a story about a friend falling asleep at a concert let me tell you a story TwitchCon came back to the Bay Area, went to San Jose TwitchCon with the boys. What year was this? 2017 to 19 window. Okay. It was the last time they came back to the Bay. Because remember, 2015, they started in the Bay. Then they went down to San Diego, Las Vegas. Then they came back to the Bay one time in San Jose. This was the one dubbed NinjaCon. Because this was at his peak of his ultimate prowess.
1:00:19Greg Miller:Was this the one that I screen capped that unfortunate photo of you that we can't really use or celebrate anymore with you and Dr. Disrespect?
1:00:28Tim Gettys:That was EA Play. This is the one where I met Shroud, Ninja, and Courage at the club. Damn, cool. Because we went to the ninja party, okay? Why aren't we friends with them? You know what? Shroud, he just plays too close to the screen for me. My eyeballs are...
1:00:43Greg Miller:Okay, gotcha.
1:00:45Tim Gettys:So here we were having fun at TwitchCon, right? As you know, all these cons, three days, a lot of stepping, a lot of movement, right? So day one, we party hard. We go to the ninja party where we meet those three jabronis. A lot of fun, great times, right? We party hard. We're drinking. Sad Boy Sean's there. Oh, Sad Boy Sean. Matt Angus is there. Marlin's there. Kevin A. Sex is there. I'm there. Basement Barry. The whole crew is here, and we're sending it, right? But get this, day two is when they have the big Twitch party. This is where they threw the Twitch party, I think, in the San Jose Earthquake soccer field, which was like a big carnival, but I bought us concert tickets to go see Drake.
1:01:24Tim Gettys:And I was like, we have to go see Drake instead, Christian. We have to go. It's the biggest. It's Drizzy, Drake, and the Migos, right? And so what happens? We go. Christian sits down during the Migos, falls asleep during the whole concert. We got girls and guys to the left and right of us throwing ass in Christian's sleeping face.
1:01:46Greg Miller:Is he sitting down? Yeah, he's sitting down in the stadium seat. falling asleep in his nachos.
1:01:51Tim Gettys:And I'm out of here having the time of my life. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You get to the Migos, right? Bad and bougie. Yeah, yeah. And she's bad asleep. Drake comes out. I'm like, oh, jump in, jump in. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. These are those moments where it's like, you'll never forget that, you know?
1:02:06Blessing Adeoye Jr.:So shout out to that kid falling asleep during the concert.
1:02:09Greg Miller:Shout out to you, Mike.
1:02:09Blessing Adeoye Jr.:If you're listening audio, I need you to turn on the video and watch the dance that Mike did.
1:02:14Greg Miller:Mike's got the moves, man.
1:02:15Blessing Adeoye Jr.:We got it. That was a crazy dance. Mike's got moves. Mike's definitely got moves because I could hear that on rhythm. You know what I mean?
1:02:22Greg Miller:We don't have music playing, but I felt the rhythm of the move. Well, because you heard the sloshing of his windbreaker pants. Just loudly. Whenever you know he's going, he'll never be silent. Mike can never creep up on anybody because of just how loud everything is. Golly. Aaron Lime with a$10 Super Chat says, In an interview with GameSpark, Yuji Corikato confirmed that Ubisoft asked about this collaboration when Konami asked for the Assassin's Creed rights for the Master Collection, Volume 2. Fascinating.
1:02:50Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Interesting.
1:02:51Greg Miller:Well, that story about Mike's friend falling asleep was massive. Huge. That was huge. Bless. But I'm, you know, I'm tired of all that big news. If I wanted something smaller, say the tiniest news I needed to know about, where would I go? You'd go to our last story,
1:03:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:the We News Channel. Recover all the small news items you need to know about.
1:03:13Greg Miller:Story number one in We News. become is coming to steam in 2006.
1:03:19Blessing Adeoye Jr.:2026.
1:03:20Greg Miller:That's what I said.
1:03:21Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah.
1:03:23Greg Miller:Experience life's fantastical journey as one of millions of sperm. Survive the microcosm dangers, wiggle, dash, and compete through the human reproductive system and create new life. Speaking of which, I had a dream that I was pregnant.
1:03:37Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh, yeah, you were telling us about this. Man. Before the show, yeah. Stressful. So you're pregnant. Yeah. Where was the baby going to come out of?
1:03:46Greg Miller:My stomach was massive. And I was like, why did I agree to carrying this baby to term for our friend who cannot carry, unfortunately? And I don't know. I don't remember when I volunteered to do this.
1:03:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah.
1:03:57Greg Miller:My stomach's just huge. And I'm just like, fuck, I'm going to have to go to. They're going to C-section me. I'm going to get it. Because it's not going to come out of my butthole or my wiener. Yeah. Like, they're going to have to cut off my stomach. and it was just like it i woke up the most relieved i've ever been in my life of like
1:04:15Blessing Adeoye Jr.:it just felt so real i don't have to deliver this baby it just felt so real blessed the whole time
1:04:20Greg Miller:i'm thinking i was i'm talking to my parents in the dream like what why why did you all like let me say yes to this like that's insane for y 'all to do that so anyway terrifying dream not
1:04:30Blessing Adeoye Jr.:the one you want to have no on your birthday like you telling that dream story as this trailer is playing in the background, by the way.
1:04:37Greg Miller:The most unhinged thing that I've witnessed us do in a while.
1:04:41Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I can't imagine tuning in live at that moment.
1:04:43Greg Miller:It was a terrifying dream, man. I don't recommend it.
1:04:46Andy Cortez:I like how you did the shift blame to your parents. Like, why did you guys let me do that?
1:04:49Greg Miller:Yeah, well, it's because I was just like, I don't. When did I agree to this? This is insane, dude. And my stomach is fucking huge, man. And I'm just like, this baby's about to pop out of me. My water broke in the dream, and they were like, oh, shit, we got to get going. I'm like, I'm so scared. So what does water breaking look like for you? Yeah. I do remember in the dream going, I'll be able to commiserate and say, like, I know the pains of going through childbirth.
1:05:16Blessing Adeoye Jr.:That's the most man thing you could say. Like, finally. In the dream, it's like, I'll know what it's like. Yeah, I can use that now. I can drop that now. Would you do that? Like, if someone ever came to you and they're like, hey, like, you're our only hope. No. Like, they found the technology. You just have to carry this baby to term and get a C-section. fuck no how much how much money would it take they were like we're gonna take a lot of money it would take a lot of money like you're taking me you're taking a whole year away plus plus
1:05:44Greg Miller:well about a year because of the post like you know recovery and stuff yeah and my stomach split
1:05:50Blessing Adeoye Jr.:open you know what i mean i mean do you know how many women in this world and people that give birth that go through the same thing yeah but i'd be volunteering this you're like i was born with a I'd be volunteering my time for this, man.
1:06:04Greg Miller:Damn, I guess I could just stream a lot, you know? Yeah, you could stream. Couldn't hoop, you know? You'd be like, how often are you hooping? You're right. You can take a year off of hooping. You're absolutely right. PSA from Sony Santa Monica about God of War's Son of Sparta's two-player mode. After completing Son of Sparta's main story, you will unlock a challenge mode that can be played solo or with local two-player couch co-op. You gotta beat the game first. I assumed this would have been something available at launch.
1:06:28Blessing Adeoye Jr.:A lot of people were confused because the store page said two players. And I was like, where's the two-player option? And, yeah, you got to beat the game. I don't know if a whole lot of games have done that. Have we heard a lot of that?
1:06:39Andy Cortez:Yeah, where it's like you have to beat a game to unlock, like, a two-player co-op kind of thing. No, it's a weird choice for sure.
1:06:46Blessing Adeoye Jr.:But it's like a challenge mode. Like, the only multiplayer thing is in the challenge mode. And you got to beat the game to get the challenge mode.
1:06:52Andy Cortez:Yeah. I don't know. It's also like combining that with the trailer where you see like Kratos and his brother and all this stuff. So you start to imagine like, oh, can you play through this and like with two players and.
1:07:03Greg Miller:Yo, I'm buying you this game. Let's play co-op. Yeah. Yeah. It's weird. Gotta beat the game first. It's weird. It's a weird choice. Kind of funky. I'm like 20 hours into it right now. 20 hours?
1:07:14Andy Cortez:Yeah. That game is 20 hours long? It's a Metroidvania. What? You want a five hour Metroidvania? Like 15. How is it? I'm going to save my thoughts for possibly a review or something. This week? I don't know. I don't know if we want to do a God of War census part of a review, but I'm close to beating it, I think.
1:07:31Greg Miller:I recently told Blessing that for a future game showdown, there should be a special game for me where you just put up an image of something and say, what is this? Or who is that?
1:07:46Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah.
1:07:46Greg Miller:Because, like, shout out to my friend Evan, who voices somebody in this game. God of War, Sons of Sparta. But as I'm shouting her out on stream, I forget the name of the game. I'm like, why am I forgetting this? I couldn't remember Willem Dafoe's name on stream. I was like, dude, I just don't have a good memory, man. It's really embarrassing.
1:08:03Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I mean, rewind back to my Tom Steamboat moment where I could not think of Tom. I couldn't think of Tom Cruise's name for the life of me. It's crazy. The way that happens. And he stars in my favorite action series.
1:08:13Greg Miller:And you're like, on any other day, I would have told you the name because I know the name. It's just escaping me right now. Shout out to Jack Quaid, who's in this game as well.
1:08:21Andy Cortez:Shout out to Jack Quaid. That was crazy. And also the guy who voiced Robin in Teen Titans voices Deimos, your brother.
1:08:27Greg Miller:Oh, wow. That'll do it for WeNews, everybody. Let's get back to some Super Chats. And you're wrong, so you can tell us what we got wrong. You can write into kindoffunny.com slash you're wrong. Jay Fulcrum says Dreams was on the PS4, bless.
1:08:42Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Thank you. That's a good one. Is that a you're wrong or is that a Super Chat?
1:08:45Greg Miller:That was a you're wrong.
1:08:46Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Okay, that's a good you're wrong. was that a cross gen i don't think so i think it got an update so that some games ran better on ps5
1:08:54Greg Miller:but i think it was only a ps4 version yank and uh kebabs confirms that it was also released on ps4
1:09:00Blessing Adeoye Jr.:valentine's day 2020 oh i got a self you're wrong even though i'm sure probably people wrote this in skillet skillet has been around for a very long time like pre-2000 i mean if that sounds
1:09:12Greg Miller:skillet's music sounds like you could put it in a halo 2 montage yeah so that sounds that all kind of lines up you know the rap rock lincoln park three days grace three doors down let me talk
1:09:24Andy Cortez:about three days grace man dude three days grace also this guy from like the billy oh happy gilmore movies also in the god of war game good for him it's really weird good for him kebabs uh writes
1:09:36Greg Miller:in that Hideki Saito... Hideki... I said Sato, but I think it's maybe Saito. Worked on the internal hardware design of Sega's video game systems. I have not been able to find the external shell designer of who the Dreams cast was. Okay.
1:09:52Andy Cortez:I think Sato's correct. Unless there's an I there.
1:09:56Greg Miller:No, I was going to say Saito. I don't think there's usually hard A's
1:10:03Andy Cortez:or those nasally A's like that.
1:10:06Greg Miller:Thank you so much for all of your wrongs.
1:10:10Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Kebabs trying to sneak in a controversial wee news in here. We're not doing that. I'm not giving people a voice that I don't want to hear.
1:10:18Greg Miller:I don't want to hear the quotes on this show. Let's get to some Super Chats like Roger Percorni's, one that we mentioned earlier. Five dollars Super Chats says Sam Fisher better than Solid Snake. Sam Fisher, I got to see him fight a mech first. I got to see him fight.
1:10:31Blessing Adeoye Jr.:What's Sam Fisher's biggest achievement?
1:10:35Greg Miller:Being relevant still. exactly yeah you know what i mean like the fact that people want him still is the fact that people are still saying his name in 2026 yeah pretty impressive i've never seen him fight a dude with supernatural superhuman abilities on on top of them on top of a mech right with fighting game
