2:48Nick Scarpino:what's up everybody and happy ninth anniversary to kind of funny games daily as of today friday june 19 2026 it has been nine years of daily video game news coverage at kind of funny nine years nine years i remember i remember episode one isn't that crazy i do too very Very clearly. Remember when this show was hosted by Greg, Andrew, and Daniel Dwyer? Uh-huh. And me. Oh, yeah. We just didn't market me that well because, like, that was at the point I was just like, let's just not talk about Tim. You know what I mean? We're going to put up a Daniel Dwyer. We're going to sideline Tim. Yeah. That's hilarious.
3:27Nick Scarpino:But, man, isn't that crazy? Of course, I'm Tim Yadis. I'm joined today by Blessing at AOEA Jr. Hello. The two people that I think have hosted the show the most. Outside of Greg? But even then, like, I forgot. I forget about the stats. Maybe Greg is a Greg had a three year head start on me.
3:43Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I think.
3:43Nick Scarpino:Okay. So maybe, maybe I'm wrong about this. And yeah, you know what? Well, you know, it's funny. I'm accounting for his paternity leave, but now I had one too. So now I probably dropped in the ranking significantly, but I remember I had a top three.
3:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:He's definitely me. You and Greg. A hundred percent. I'll probably guess Greg me. You, well, I guess for those, you also had a year's head start on me. But then the paternity leave. That's the, I don't know.
4:07Nick Scarpino:that's only like three months though i know but you i think had to host even more than normal months but uh i don't know it's been a crazy nine years yeah a lot of news stories what are some of your favorite moments of the last nine years favorite moments uh i've got it you know what
4:21Blessing Adeoye Jr.:sucks i can't think of anything good like which layoff which studio closure honestly it's like
4:28Nick Scarpino:it is the moments of the breaking news during us talking about news so it's like yeah that's usually bad things but like sometimes it's not necessarily a bad thing it was just a crazy thing like when e3 got canceled oh when sony pulled out of e3 very sad but not like it's sad that we're talking about stories you know these days yes you know did anything come into your mind for a bit
4:51Blessing Adeoye Jr.:favorite moments um we i mean the kfg 3000 i feel like covered so many i one in one of the early years there was an episode with gary witta and jared petty where they it was just entirely entirely off the rails the first time they did that i thought was fantastic yeah third time it's like all right guys all right guys the show come on become professional now you know what i'm talking about um so that was fun one that always cracks me up that i think about all the time that no i feel like i was hosting with greg greg i don't think laughed at all at this moment i thought it was one of the funniest things where i'm reading you're wrong and we're talking about uh one of those games where it's like you have to tidy up your room um and i read the you're wrong because they were like oh the feature is called the daily tidy but i misread it as the daily titty yeah and i was like why is it the daily titty and then i think some i think i just reread it and i was like oh daily tidy i fucking i that tickled me yeah i was dying i don't think greg found it funny but i was yeah no that was one that that really stuck with me i think about
5:47Nick Scarpino:that all the time yeah i do i feel like the the off the rails when we're just giggling games dailies are the best yeah there's a lot of media when that happens like shit just comes up and it's just like oh we're stuck in it kevin's banana moment the first one yeah and all of them
6:00Blessing Adeoye Jr.:yeah i feel like kevin kevin keeps the banana you know very sparse when it when andrew's in there that's always it's always a delay yeah it overdoes it one uh i think the michael jackson one is gonna
6:09Nick Scarpino:go down that was an amazing one yeah like that is a perfect example of just sheer you can't write this shit you know what i mean you can you can have the joke ready to start but it's just the three four jokes in where it's just like sometimes it's just the the cause and effect you know the call and the magic comes together like it starts off as purposeful and then it gets out of hand
6:31Blessing Adeoye Jr.:uh yeah that's one that i feel like when we get to the smileys at the end of the year beginning
6:34Nick Scarpino:of next year yeah yeah that'll be included remember that for sure i mean andy's bits that he does as well like the one recently sports conference one was so good so good i love that
6:43Blessing Adeoye Jr.:we all have our different type of humor that we bring to the table yeah i think that's what makes it special yeah it's like the kind of funny and kind of funny games daily so different and so like when greg does his pc gamers thing oh that's another one yeah greg making fun of pc gamers
6:56Nick Scarpino:hilarious oh yeah yeah but like a lot of that is on games anytime cut to the one for greg yeah and he just unprompted is like okay i'm cutting a promo right now like you know something someone's
7:07Blessing Adeoye Jr.:gonna get in trouble it's usually me yeah and so like i love that he brings that and he brings his more prepared bits right i bring whatever the fuck i bring you bring the tim getty's hype like i love that we're all so very different yeah that's kind of what makes this show i also love how much the one-on-one vibe of this show makes it way different from a games cast and like i i like how much we're able to get into the duffy i like how much we're able to i think shine more as individuals on this show yeah kfg i think is something special it really is it and yeah i love
7:33Nick Scarpino:the amount of guests that we've had on the show that like just fit so well because so many people in the industry listen to us you know like we are so many people's background noise and i i think that that's awesome that you know people like what we do enough that they want to be part of the show and then when they're here they can just be on it and they know the bits they know the roper report like all of it like very very we news we know such cool stuff i mean the first time i
7:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:ever um hung out with ben star the first time i ever met ben star it was me haim and him uh grabbing drinks uh and i didn't even realize that he knew me i forget if it was like how you might have invited me and was like i'm hanging out with the voice actor for clive and it was like oh yeah what's up hung out with him and a few minutes into hanging out he's like oh by the way i love the show and i was like really oh thank you so much and he then did the whole um everything yeah like the i forget which one he recited i think it was either the we news or the segment before
8:26Nick Scarpino:yeah it was uh what did we do something so far away if i wanted to know what's coming yeah
8:31Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'm on the Grop Shops. He recited that. And I'm like, oh, my God.
8:33Nick Scarpino:I know. Oh, yeah. I know. Ben Sar freaking in. So in. And doing the show with him and Abu, definitely a highlight for me. That was an amazing episode. Just letting them go. 9:13Nick Scarpino:This is kind of funny. Games daily for, like I said, Friday, June 19, 2026. If you're watching live, please super chat. If you have any thoughts on the stories today or thoughts on games dailies last nine years, shout out to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster, Delady, the Psalm 20, and lax nomad uh for now let's begin with what is and forever will be the roper report it's time for some news we have six stories today uh bankers does
9:45Nick Scarpino:story number one sony ditches mentioned a pc releases from business strategy document as playstation single-player games are now expected to be fully exclusive this is tom phillips at ign on a very slow news day yeah Analysis of a new PlayStation business document has highlighted an official change to Sony's multi-platform release strategy, with PC no longer described as part of the company's first-party launch focus. The change, picked up from Sony's latest 229-page filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission by Gamefile, is the clearest sign yet of what has previously been reported, that PlayStation's backing away from launching its first-party games on PC, at least when they're single-player.
10:25Nick Scarpino:Just yesterday, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier relayed comments from an internal meeting chaired by Herman Holst, in which the PlayStation CEO stated that single-player narrative games would only launch on PlayStation consoles in future. This means there'll be no PC ports of Insomniac Games' upcoming Marvel's Wolverine, Santa Monica Studios' God of War Lafay, or Naughty Dog's Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet. Online, live service games will still get PC launches, however, such as Guerrilla Games' stylized spinoff Horizon Hunter's Gathering. this change now looks to be backed by Sony's own company documentation which in 2025's version of the SEC report previously mentioned plans to continue its efforts to deploy its first party titles to multiple platforms such as PC remember that Sony had even dabbled with Switch publishing too for Lego Horizon Adventures which was crazy it was crazy at the time and it's crazy now and we all just let it happen and we're like oh everyone's trying different things that one's crazier than all the other ones which part is crazy it being a Lego Horizon game or coming to switch it coming to switch oh yeah like that i feel like they just put a horizon game on switch see i find that less crazy it is the lego horizon part that i'm like okay guys i mean that's bizarre too that for sure definitely like if you make a lego horizon game i almost feel like you got to put it on switch at that point but that's weird yeah it's weird that you
11:41Blessing Adeoye Jr.:made it in the first place but if you're making it you got to put it where it's supposed to be you can't make hold on if i feel like if you make a lego anything supposed to be if you make a lego anything i don't care who you are you got to put it on the nintendo switch i mean like lego batman like the new one delayed crazy but it's coming it is coming it is you know where the kids are
12:00Nick Scarpino:playing it's on that nintendo yeah the 2026 report cuts this line completely one other change of note is the whole section that sony has added to discuss its use of ai to quote unleash the creativity of studios and further enhance the playstation experience it's perhaps not surprising to see sony leaning into the current industry trend of slapping ai into everything but there's little surprises here so he simply said it wanted ai to quote improve productivity route transactions more efficiently and shape personalized customer recommendations as well as enhance in-game visuals i love these motherfuckers bless because it's just like hey you know we understand that they gets people all triggered you know i mean it's kind of this thing i'm just like hey here we are it's just like oh no no just to improve productivity just things like you know helping with customer uh recommend and also in-game visuals and also creative ideas for the game it's the pisser just making the game for us well it's the
12:58Blessing Adeoye Jr.:pisser i feel like all these all the the things that are listed here are things where i'm like all right cool who cares i don't i don't give a fuck they they don't i'm sure they're doing it but they don't mention it i mean productivity is not pisser well no improve productivity i listen i'm trying to give people the i'm not even trying to give people the benefit of the I'm trying to do like the reading into things of like, you can, that could be a fucking Excel sheet. That could be your Salesforce app. I don't know. Right. Like there are things behind the scenes that you can say are improving productivity.
13:30Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I say all that to say that I'm sure we're, we're not that far away from us having the new story where it is. Oh shit. There's Gen AI God of war or Wolverine or some shit like that.
13:41Nick Scarpino:It's, it's such a, it's such a sad, but yeah, these,
13:44Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I think these are the politically safe ways to say you're using AI and not have people get to still have AI be like a big, big two letters you can put on your little business document.
13:56Nick Scarpino:So that all the stockholders look at it and go, OK, they're doing the thing. They're doing the thing. Doing the thing. The money's going to come. Ah, man. But honestly, the stock PC.
14:05Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah, because I I'm trying to remember where we're at with this, because it started off as reports. I forget if we've only left it off at, hey, it's reported.
Read the full transcript
14:14Nick Scarpino:it was reported by jason schreyer yeah right so that's where we left off which is just kind of
14:18Blessing Adeoye Jr.:like all right it's done so this is the closest we've gotten to official confirmation this is just
14:23Nick Scarpino:as close this is it right like this is a hundred percent official from the horse's mouth yeah the horse named herman herman holst you know um that yeah that it's gonna go this way so yeah no new news here it's now just like another official or the first official comment on it that we had we now have that it's like that is the plan cool yeah that's what they're doing where it's like it will not be a case by case situation like they are clearly lying in the sand multiplayer games maybe single player games no and so it's like all right cool that sucks you know it's really i think unfortunate and i do think that it's a a blunder of a move overall like i think that uh if i were playstation i'd be putting my games day and date on playstation and pc and date day and date yeah and i i truly think that that would have been the best strategy for them uh to make money i think that the the i think the best plan for everybody but i'm just going to talk about playstation here is to just have something that that people can expect and that is a reliable narrative that we can follow so if you were to be like it's coming to pc one year after release and that was the standard i think that that could work for them when they don't have that and it's just like okay I expect Wolverine to end up on PC, but you have no idea of when I think that really affects the sales and high interesting going into that PC launch.
15:48Nick Scarpino:And we see that with the PC sales numbers of Sony games. It makes no sense to me that, uh, black myth Wukong can sell as well as it did on PC and God of war flops. And I understand that there's a lot of reasons of why black myth sold as, as well as it did. Yeah. but like there's an appetite for that type of game yeah i mean i i think there is
16:14Blessing Adeoye Jr.:layers to it right i think when we're talking about the strategy around pc i think the thing that i've i've learned as we've been talking about it from the xbox side where their strategy how their strategy has shifted and we're talking about on playstation with people's feelings about the pc stuff is that people just want consistency yeah right like i i i think the the thing of xbox being like these are exclusive these aren't exclusive make is making people upset and like why is making people upset there's a whole conversation around that playstation i think is a similar thing of not knowing it makes people upset i i don't know if you i here's the thing right can i stop you
16:50Nick Scarpino:real quick just because i want to address something let me the the argument that i'm making let's take black myth out of it let's replace it with james bond first light okay selling incredibly well on pc selling incredibly well on consoles i just think that like there's an appetite for like single player narrative games i feel like the people here are kind of funny that like god of war also like james bond i know that they're different style of game but they're also similar type games right yeah cinematic action adventures it would sell on pc if it was treated differently god of war not sell that well on pc it didn't sell that well that's why they're not doing this like none of the games sold well enough to be like all right we should
17:26Blessing Adeoye Jr.:i got a conspiracy theory about this and i and i i'm sure the part of it is sales because that's what was mentioned in the reports my conspiracy theory is that the ultimate reason that they're pulling their games off off pc is that the next xbox is going to play pc games and they don't want their games to be playable on x oh 100 yeah i mean i think that's the bigger thing here that's
17:46Nick Scarpino:what happened yeah like that is the big thing of why they're they're not coming up with some consistent plan to figure things out they have the numbers they they know what this could look like i it's it is definitely project helix and the way they're talking about that and then to a lesser extent steam i don't think that playstation sees steam as the enemy no uh that the internet would think it does just because of sheer numbers of how this all works but i do think that they from a very silly perspective are doing this to with their former competition you know yeah and
18:22Blessing Adeoye Jr.:i i think it's both i think if playstation games were selling like crazy on pc then i think they would have to be like uh we'll let it slide then who cares ultimately if the games are playable on helix but i think because the games aren't doing amazing they're probably doing fine enough and with helix added that's where they're like well no if we're not making hand over fist money on this then we're not also going to have our games end up being playable on the next gen xbox because that now contradicts directly with our strategy yeah and to the day and date thing with pc i think that also kind of contradicts with their strategy with how we talk about playstation right like the point of selling playstation first party games is to sell consoles we want to we want people to show up to buy the ps4 ps5 ps6 and if we are selling our games day and day on pc at what point does that continue to shave down and make it so that that strategy isn't as strong as it
19:14Nick Scarpino:traditionally has been for them yes and i that is a a real conundrum i just believe that the reality is if you follow that to the end of the line it wouldn't affect it that much i think the only effect would be to make a lot more money selling their games like i think the people that are willing to make the jump from playstation from console to pc is not nearly as big as we kind of talk about it being the pc market is growing i don't think it's in place of the playstation console market in particular and i i really feel like if playstation were to put their games out day and date on pc and playstation that it would only benefit everybody and i feel like yes it would result in some console sale launch or loss i do not think that it would be demonstrable to to degrees that would negatively affect them uh for selling hardware oh do you disagree i i don't
20:12Blessing Adeoye Jr.:disagree i i in fact i agree with you i just think the helix element oh yeah adds a whole another ripple it works i understand why they're like that is true we're leaning back entirely because this is it's just not worth it for us and i don't think releasing on pc day and date fixes that ultimate issue it doesn't yeah now wolverine is or now the next let's say god of war after laufay is coming out on playstation pc and on xbox because xbox plays pc games this is not what playstation does i i think that's the bigger thing here yeah and so the other
20:45Nick Scarpino:argument that i would make though is let's take the helix out of it because i think that we we both just agree that that's the reason this is happening and it's like i think that's silly but i also do understand um i just think it's silly just because i don't think helix is gonna hit like that like i don't think that it's really gonna affect them much at all anyways i agree with that um but then on the other side of it it's like i would think that day and date is just the right move for just business making money for the ips that you have and for like i think by any real metric winning but if they're unwilling to do that because they don't want to give up what playstation is known for which is our exclusive cell consoles and you know people identify with playstation because of our exclusives and the amazing third-party support and all that other stuff but they do have the big game of the year exclusives right then i do think just a consistency of one year after it'll come to pc and i think that that would have grown so well over time for them just because there's an understanding of the people that that aren't willing to buy a ps5 they're not going to buy it but they are willing to wait a year to play do you think that's too
21:47Blessing Adeoye Jr.:tough logistically because when we're talking about the pc ports those are typically done by another studio in-house right like nixus is the one that's doing like a lot of these pc ports which that's a whole other conversation that we'll continue to have which is what are you doing with nixus then but for that right like do you think they just can't commit to a year after because they don't know when those games are going to be ready for pc i definitely think they can a
22:10Nick Scarpino:year later i mean we've seen them kind of do that just like kind of just once they've decided to experiment with all this i think that they had a plan in place they definitely could port these games to pc i mean we're seeing now it's like easier than ever for games to launch day and date multi-platform and like more and more third parties in particular because they're the ones doing multi-platform are saying how this generation has been the easiest to kind of co um produce games across the the different platforms like i keep going back to naoki hamaguchi the final fantasy 7 remake trilogy uh overseer because like i said yesterday they just keep doing interviews and just keep saying things that we're not hearing from other people and he was saying that like we're we do not worry about part three of final fantasy uh being lesser than because we also are developing it for the ps5 pro and for the switch to it's easier than ever to scale and it's like hearing that it's like all right i do think that uh getting a pc port done is significantly easier in 2026 and beyond than it has been in the past and for them having nixes who have more experience than they've ever had getting the shit done i think it's not a question of can they do it i think uh they are deciding not to do it for whatever reason and i just think that if they were to commit to it's a year later that builds in an inherent hype marketing strategy for that second release whereas right now this experiment was so half-assed where it's like oh playstation state of play is happening and randomly in between a bunch of playstation console games there's a we hear the uncharted music and you're like oh shit what's happening it's like oh they're just putting some uncharted games on pc like oh and in like three months and like august like okay yeah and that's the last you hear about it maybe you get one tweet later that's just like there's ultra wide support and like this and this and you're like oh cool
23:56Blessing Adeoye Jr.:that's kind of and that kind of here's the thing right because i think for me it kind of works i I don't know how small the percentage of players are like me, and I'm sure you in this scenario where we double dip. So when Death Stranding 2 was announced for PC, I'm like, let's fucking go. I loved how good that game looked on PlayStation. I know it's going to look even better on PC, ultra-wide, all that stuff. I ended up not even playing it because of so many games. But I get excited when I see, oh, this game's coming to PC now because I then get to go, what new features are going to be available on this thing?
24:27Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Let's fucking go. I wonder how much there is that aspect when you're releasing staggered but then also to the communicating exactly one year after thing I wonder if that still gets in the way of them being like we don't want people to wait we don't want people to then go oh I know I'm getting this game one year like I can get this game on PC one year after I'm gonna hold off on buying it on PlayStation
24:47Nick Scarpino:I just but like let's just let's not talk about the hypotheticals let's just be real yeah like that's just not a real fear you know like think about the actual numbers of that it's not going to affect that like they're different like that way i think that that's kind of like one of their it all goes back to the reality is i think it's xbox in their heads yeah i think that's all that it is like because if it was just them versus pc i don't think they're thinking about it that way like and yeah i'm gonna stop talking there i'm trying to get clipped out today bless not on this friday it's friday we're trying to make it
25:25Blessing Adeoye Jr.:a good good day but yeah this is one of those new stories too where i know this feels like a repeated story again this is the closest and slash this is the official confirmation that we're getting from herman holst here and so it's kind of nice to have that clarity i don't think they would ever officially come out and be like hey we're not releasing games on pc anymore so this is probably the closest we're ever going to get to like them just straight up saying it um so i like that clarity i wish it wasn't the case because i do like the games coming to pc i think that's good for everybody me too i would say the games come everywhere yeah but that's me being a consumer just like liking games being everywhere um the ai stuff i don't for me i read this stuff and i'm like this this is business speak to me i don't really get scared about this aspect but i do get scared just in in general about video games it goes that the fact that this needs to be there yeah it goes back to the crazy taxi thing for me where i feel like i didn't articulate it well enough when i'm i'll talk about the ai stuff in our in crazy taxi because like i think this is this is going to continue to be a wide industry issue right in the way that crazy taxi is using ai i feel like there are so many games that are and we gotta we gotta fight this from the root i don't think we can just cut off like oh crazy taxi fucking cut off that leaf we gotta get to the root of this ai shit and figure out how to fight it there because it's everybody's doing it
26:41Nick Scarpino:oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah oh man uh the roots are strong that's the only thing um let's uh come to story number two after a quick word from our sponsors this episode's brought to you by video game town video game town is an independent media site where you can find fascinating articles podcasts and videos created by the best and brightest in games journalism In order to escape the AI hellhole our industry is currently in, Video Game Town proudly presents the best in gaming coverage joined by plenty of familiar faces. 31:16Story number two.
31:18Nick Scarpino:New Onimusha Weyed the Sword retail listing suggests the Samurai Games the latest to change release plans as Capcom looks to avoid the late September rush. This comes from Scott McRae at GamesRadar. A retailer has updated the release date for Onimusha, Wade the Sword, suggesting the Capcom may be next to move out of September. If you paid attention to Summer Game Fest myriad showcases, you'll have no doubt picked up that September is an absolute nightmare. Nightmare is one way to put it. It really depends on what you're trying to say. It is a nightmare, but it's also kind of awesome. It's heaven.
31:48Nick Scarpino:Marvel's Wolverine, Fire Emblem Fortunes, Weave, Vileham 1.0, already make in the middle of the month pretty jam-packed. But then the last week of the month, publishers are going ham with Silent Hill Townfall, hot wheels infinite rush control resonant and switch to editions of dragon quest 11 and shinobi art of vengeance all releasing on the 24th then only mush away the sword drops a day later on the 25th that's not even mentioning how much comes out in the first week of october and also this article is not even mentioning garfield hates mondays yeah disrespect it's probably written before that what started as games getting out of the incoming gta 6 shaped behemoth has turned into a massive mosh pit and we've already seen first person souls like valor mortis moving out of the week to mid-october now it looks like capcom may be next to shift as spotted by cheap ass gamer retailer pnp games has listed onimushaway the sword with the release date of september 4th 21 days before its announced release date this in turn has caused speculation that capcom will be moving the release date of a tamarai hack and slash in order to avoid the flood they don't want to just delay to november yeah why not you know stay in september hey november how many games coming out in november yeah like one and a half what if we just moved there oh let's go earlier september i mean that's how much that's how scared people are but they should be like i this is good i think it's very good that not only are they scared of gta now that it really more than ever feels like it's hitting that november date but on top of that they're willing to do what they can do to try to protect their products like yeah like they're not just being like fuck it we're putting just things out to die it'll live maybe you know they're actually trying to do something we've had a conversation about this multiple times now about the september thing and um i was saying i'm that onimush is one of the games i'm more confident in of that series of games yeah mainly because of capcom their uh track record this year right of being able to get these games out multi-platform have them be critically well received um and i forgot exactly where we were at but i remember me and you going back on the onimusha versus control specifically um and i i remember saying something to the extent of onimusha is not going to get delayed if anything if it can get finished up pushed up then that could make sense and i was talking about all of the games but it does make sense to me that onimusha potentially is the one that has the most wiggle room going up because i think control because of just how small that team is they're going to need that extra time they don't have the luxury of being like okay let's let's hit on capcom seems like such a
34:22Blessing Adeoye Jr.:well-oiled machine yeah pragmata moved up yeah that you're right yeah yeah like this isn't unprecedented for them um so this this makes sense hopefully it's it's real it seems like it is but um you know we haven't gotten official confirmation yet but i'm looking at the calendar and i think that's a good place for it like here's the other thing because it's saying what September 4th yeah that's the set so orbitals is September 3rd I think those games could come out around the same time I don't think that's a problem and then you have a problem for me and yeah me and you that would be a problem for but then there's also blood of the dawn walker which I've been yeah I've been throwing I've not been throwing shade at but I've been underestimating I think I was having a conversation with the homie Yusef McGeed we were at an ocean beach bonfire he looked at me he was like I don't know if y 'all are given and Blood of the Dawnwalker, the respect it deserves.
35:14Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And then we got no conversation about it because he's been watching all the trailers. Yusuf is a fan of Marvel shit, so he's looking forward to Wolverine. He's looking forward to Control and all this stuff. But he's telling me that Blood of the Dawnwalker is his number one most anticipated game for September. I mean, that's the way Greg and Andy talk about it too. Yeah. Which I'm always like, I'm pretty trepidatious about this one. I think for me, I'm blaming a trailer that I saw a year and a half ago. They did a 20-minute gameplay trailer. I watched the whole thing and was like, oh, this looks okay.
35:42Blessing Adeoye Jr.:But Yusuf has been telling me about like, no, I've been watching all the trailers and some of the shit they're doing seems really cool. Yeah. So that might be a sleeper.
35:51Nick Scarpino:Dude, I hope that it freaking hits, man. I want nothing more than those type of teams to get wins. Yeah. You know, because it's usually bad stories. It's usually us reading headlines of like, oh, it didn't hit the way.
36:04Blessing Adeoye Jr.:devs of xyz games started a studio made a game that is has some elements from that thing that you loved and then it ends up being callista protocol you know like i feel like yeah those stories we hear a lot but i'm gonna i'm gonna keep more of an eye on blood of the dawn walker i'm not gonna i'm not gonna count it out but also yeah i don't think that's i think that's also one that on a motion doesn't have to worry too strongly about all these games are fairly different and i think speak to such different audiences yeah that's gonna be a fun first week of september dude definitely like i going right into wolverine yeah wolverine mid mid month and then you close out the month with control and a bunch of other games yeah how wheels infinite rush do you think what gears again is that it's early october right i believe so let's control f and find out gears is october 6th god damn it's i mean that close after control it's like so close man and it's like a few days after ace combat which i'm kind of excited about rayman is october 1st star wars galactic racers also october 6th same day's gears what else do you think moves i don't know
37:13Nick Scarpino:again i think that there's the big problem right now of who has the luxury of being able to move up because like we're running out of space to move out yeah like or else delay till 2027 which i do think a couple of these potentially could i think for sure we're gonna see a few delays in 2027 what do you think oh man i mean because i feel like if you look at any individual one you're like it won't be that one it won't be that one that's things i'm looking at more of like the
37:42Blessing Adeoye Jr.:double a to indie territory of games you know what canon blade zero comes out october 29th i can see that going to 2027 the late delay that seems like a game that always it already got delayed why not again yeah that seems like a game that can always use more time to cook for sure for sure god looks good though it looks really good um i think valor mortis already delayed from september to october dude yeah and like i don't yeah not much has changed in that week uh since they delayed so i think they probably stayed the course but when is ocarina because i think once ocarina gets a date then you start to see things move from that i mean i'm still convinced it's first two weeks of november it's gonna be a good november i know man it really is let's get to
38:34Nick Scarpino:story number three we're getting new halo content this comes from halo on twitter kinda uh it's a it's an interesting one here uh well i i love this though this is this is like right up this is the first thing that i i tweeted uh tweeted texted to my group thread with current and alfredo it activated a thread that the three of us haven't talked in like over 10 years oh shit okay uh so halo the fall of reach like you've never heard it before announcing an all-new fully dramatized adaptation of the master chief's origin story performed by full cast led by iconic series voices steve downs jen taylor and tim dabadoo coming november 10th pre-order your copy now fall of reach was like one of the only real books real books it's a real book though
39:27exactly yeah it's novel it was at pages and words on the pages and you read the words all the way to the end it was one of the only ones of those that you've ever read through i'm so sorry the That guy's last name is Dabado, not Dabadoo. Jesus Christ, Tim. Sorry. Oh, my Lord. I didn't even notice that you put it like that. Sorry. I'm sorry. Although I'm looking at the name, I understand how you get it, actually.
39:54I fucked it up so bad. I'll be honest. That's not on you. Just Dabadoo. Dabadoo's kind of crazy, but I understand how you get there. It's like when I called RSA Russia yesterday, and I'm like, that's not right and everyone's like no and i'm like listen don't tell me that's crazy oh oh my
40:13Nick Scarpino:god um anyway this book's fucking rad and yeah the three of us all read this book uh it's very very cool if i remember correctly like this is the book that introduces all of the characters that you play as in halo reach okay like linda the sniper dope as hell uh anyway shit's cool the idea that they're doing this like audiobook with the halo music and with the halo voice actors that's just so sick that's really cool I love shit like this yeah I never I never listen or read it but I love that it gives this out like I know you're just not a Halo guy like that right obviously this book I'm nostalgic for this book so it's a little different but imagine if it was something like Expedition 33 and then there was a novel put out and like it was like an official novel like it's whatever just the book oh just the book okay you wouldn't read the book no but if they did a fucking fully voice acted with the music and all that stuff would you listen to it Maybe.
41:06Nick Scarpino:Maybe. Yeah. Definitely not a guaranteed no. Yeah. But I told myself I listened to the Kojima podcast. I got one episode. I got one episode in as well. I was like, I just don't really like this that much. It's cool. It's cool. It's not for me. It's not my kind of content. Yeah. But I would love that. Blue team. That's what they're called.
41:25Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I looked up Halo novels and I found the Halopedia. And there's like a lot of these Halo novels.
41:33Nick Scarpino:brian david gilbert one of the funniest human beings on the planet let alone the internet um used to be a polygon i want to say yes polygon and he made a video where he read every single halo book no every single one and it did a crazy like whiteboard like full on him losing his mind telling you the story of all the halo books yeah highly recommend that video circa like 2019
42:03Blessing Adeoye Jr.:2018 maybe there was a man brian david gilbert was on polygon and tim rogers was on kotaku and they were firing on all cylinders for a while i thought they were the same person they weren't that's so funny they weren't but i love so funny man now now that i know both both their content uh more specifically i love both of them they're so they're so talented yeah but man, we got to get back to our culture. Let's bring back the fire, the very talented video guy to just lead a video team at a Kotaku and a Polygon, even though I'm sure you guys have video teams. I don't mean to diss your video team.
42:41Blessing Adeoye Jr.:They definitely do. Yeah. But like, it's almost like they just gave the keys to Tim Rogers and was like, hey, do whatever you want. Do whatever. Do whatever you want.
42:49Nick Scarpino:Do you. Be you. Yeah. Let's get back to that. Let's get back to that. I mean, Brian David Gilbert killing it over at Dropout.
42:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yes.
42:57Nick Scarpino:um i'm actually yeah there's a uh i love all of his videos he's so fucking funny but the the big one for me is the poker rap where he does the poker rap of every single uh all the pokemon like not just the original 150 and he did it live at i want to say pax east it it's one of my favorite things to ever exist i don't even want to call it a video because it's so much more than a video i watch that annually i try to make anybody watch it with me that would possibly just sit down for 30 minutes and be i'm just like no no it's so much more than you think just fucking lock in and get through it the beginning's what you think you go on have you watched it all the way i've not watched all the way no we're gonna watch it on content at some point okay we'll do a live watch along because the levels that this man gets to and the point that he makes by the end of it all it is i think the piece of content i'm most jealous that not only i didn't make that i couldn't make if i fucking tried my goddamn heart i thought i thought
43:56Blessing Adeoye Jr.:a lot about like a solo pax panel what i would do i don't have any ideas but i want to do it when you see this it's gonna make you go nah yeah nah i don't got the stuff oh man speak for yourself i got the stuff i'll find this stuff yeah um my my tim rogers recommendation there's a video which might be multiple videos now of him describing video game box art i get somebody off camera it It might be Ash Parish or something, or it might be Gita Jackson, actually, giving him random box art, like telling him just random video games. And he's describing all the box art from memory because he has photographic memory.
44:33Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Very impressive. Yeah. They're giving him games where it's like, oh, shit, that is an obscure ass game. And he's like giving you the exact details of exactly like the color scheme where certain things are in the box art. Very impressive person.
44:44Nick Scarpino:Terrifying. Let's get to story number four. More cast members have been added to the Fallout TV show. okie dokie please welcome emily mortimer manny jacinto and tomaskin mckenzie to season three
45:00Blessing Adeoye Jr.:oh yeah manny's dope as hell i love manny jacinto i love the good place and he was also in that star
45:05Nick Scarpino:wars show the acolyte the acolyte the one star wars show that i haven't seen oh really yeah it was just a timing thing i think we're it was right before my wedding so i was like super busy i'll watch it one day but it's just it's crazy that like there's some stars out there that i've missed um handsome this man is yeah he that's a good look that's a good look and he was good looking
45:27Blessing Adeoye Jr.:in the acolyte yeah a show that i haven't seen but i've seen clips of um okie dokie oh wait okay never mind i was gonna i was gonna say for a second i thought that was a good place thing
45:35Nick Scarpino:it's not it's a fucking fallout thing oh yeah main character yeah yeah do you recognize these other two no i don't know either i can look up emily mortimer i recognize the name emily mortimer mortimer is she the girl from wednesday i didn't watch much one or just does mortimer just sound like i think you're i think kevin is mortimer a name from wednesday or from adam's family because i think that might be what did you dress up as for halloween kevin morticia is always dressed up as morticia yeah yeah yeah yeah I think one of these girls from like Booksmart, like this girl, isn't she from Booksmart?
46:12Nick Scarpino:Oh, was she? I don't know. I thought so. I thought I saw this like photo. The irony of you saying that though, Kevin, because this one does look like the girl from Booksmart. That's also Abby and last of us that Caitlin Deaver. It's not though.
46:31Blessing Adeoye Jr.:No, that's definitely not. I know. I thought even look, she doesn't even look like a little. Okay. You know what? I see it a little, just a little bit. Emily Mortimer looks like she has already been in an episode of Fallout, by the way. Yeah. According to IMDB, there was an episode in 2024. I can't find who she played, but it's our it just says actress. So maybe she was a background character. I don't know. But it looks like she's been in Mary Poppins Returns in 2018. Lars and the Real Girl. paddington yeah oh in peru there you go well this is exciting slow news day story number five here we got a blessing shout do you want to read this one oh yeah i can i can do this one right uh this is one that popped up on my timeline from the one and only jordan minor uh jordan writes for pc mag i wanted to shout this out uh in celebration of juneteenth happy juneteenth everybody um jordan had an article that he updated today it's an article from previously but wanted to give it a shout out uh celebrate juneteenth by supporting these brilliant black game developers he kind of goes in and gives some shout outs here but i'm going to start for the first with the first couple paragraphs from his uh article on june 19th 1865 america's last slaves were finally freed today more and more people recognize that date juneteenth as the joyous holiday that's been celebrated by african americans for years it's been declared an official public holiday and here at pc mag we won't be working the day's recognition hasn't magically fixed many deep-rooted issues but i'm glad that the reignited conversation on america's ongoing violent racism hasn't disappeared this month saw the release of beatdown city survivors an awesome follow-up to one of our favorite black indie games treachery in beatdown city but this month also saw the apparent closure of compulsion games a team that delivered a modern classic of big budget black gaming with south of midnight a game everyone should play so today i still want to remind you that black artists continue to exist and thrive throughout all levels of the gaming industry whether you love the latest triple a extravaganza or appreciate the finest indie games you can you can and should find excellent black artists to support we'll show you where to start The article then goes on to give shout outs.
48:55Blessing Adeoye Jr.:They shout out Never Yield by the homie Ariel Knight. I'm a voice in We Never Yield. So I'll give that as a personal shout out, I guess. I was going to give it as like a disclosure, but it's not like I'm reviewing the game. You're not making money from it. Yeah, I'm not making money from it. I made money when I voice acted in it. Thank you, Ariel Knight. But he shouts out that. But I do want y 'all to go over and give the click to this article on PCMag, because I think that's great work from Jordan Miner. And I've mentioned this on Blue Sky, right? But with the potential closure of Compulsion Games, I think that's a bad omen, especially for black art and art that is about marginalized communities and communities that aren't as represented in very popular media.
49:41Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Like, often times in games media and on shows like this, we talk about the big business of it all, right? Hey, Xbox, they probably want to retract and can continue to make Call of Duty, Gears, Halo, et cetera. And of course, money dominates the conversation, but there is a cultural and social aspect to when on the AAA level, you retract from everything else, you find less opportunities for games like South at Midnight to exist and continue to be there for representation, right? And continue to make waves and make that impact for people that are looking for those kinds of stories. because those kinds of stories are important they exist in plenty of places in the indie realm but i think having some of those in the triple a realm is very important too uh and it makes me sad that compulsion might not continue to see the light of day fingers crossed that they do but no yeah i wanted to shout that out because right now especially for a lot of marginalized people in general not a great time when you're talking about the presidency when you're talking about the big fight against DEI and all this shit, right?
50:44Blessing Adeoye Jr.:That is not, that is no bueno for a lot of the people that you know who are people of color, who are for Juneteenth, black people particularly a lot of that shit is really fucked up and really bad, and so we gotta do our best to support those who can use that support and uplift black media and media from people of color Play South of Midnight, it fucking rocks
51:04Nick Scarpino:I love it so nearly and dearly it might not be the greatest game of all time but like i do think it has so many elements that are are so worthy of praise and like it is such a fun experience and uh it's available everywhere now i think like it made its way to playstation eventually i think it's on switch as well i could be wrong about that that sounds about right um but it's definitely on game pass so if you have xbox on pc or or or xbox itself like definitely give it a play i i plan to replay that game at some point like that's the type of game that like in maybe next year or so it's just like oh yeah it's been long enough like i want a short experience that has so much so much great music so many cool ass boss fights so much fun story even just seeing her outfit you don't need to bring it up again kev but the screenshot there was like her in like a later game outfit i'm like fuck i forgot that was cool as hell like yeah yeah uh it
51:56Blessing Adeoye Jr.:is on switch to uh south of midnight great weaver's edition came out uh march of this year
52:01Nick Scarpino:yeah i think that the i imagine it being on switch too like that's a that's a cool game for switch too because it does have that like old platformer vibe to it yeah and like you know i that that game
52:12Blessing Adeoye Jr.:existing being about the deep south and taking place within the deep south with the references that it does with the characters that it does with the art style that it does super special game the kind of game that i'd love to see that i think we all would love to see way more of um we got to support those games yeah though like you we can't just sit by ask for these games and not buy them play them like give them that support because you need to actively give that give them that support for them to exist yep otherwise we're just sitting here talking about gears and halo over and over
52:42Nick Scarpino:again bought my friend south of midnight i bought south of midnight on playstation 5 and i bought uh the south of midnight vinyl like collection for all the music like i support this shit i love this shit um sporting shit is cool it's real big big thing to do with you huge but if i don't know about something small so damn small bless where would i look you'd go to our last news story the we news channel where you cover all the small news items you need to know about mecca chameleon has now sold five million copies have you heard of me what is mecca chameleon i had never heard
53:16Blessing Adeoye Jr.:of this game till i want to say last night i went on twitch.tv and i saw snow mike mike was playing a game called Mecha Chameleon. I was like, what the fuck is that? I tuned in, could not tell what was happening on screen, but it's a game, and it sold 5 million copies. There's two Americas. Can you? Two Americas. There's two Americas. I love how often you say that. There's an America that's playing Mecha Chameleon, and we had no idea.
53:43Nick Scarpino:Yeah. Kev, can you look up Mecha Chameleon? I'd just like to see what the game looks like. I've sent this to Greg. Oh, wait, hold on one second. Sorry. I'm trying to find... There's no, like, trailers? Oh, Mike's here. Okay, we got Mike. Mike will explain it all. There's two Americas. We have one of them coming in. There's two gamers out there, okay? Hey, let me tell you about Mecha Chameleon, the next hit friend slot party game, okay? It's prop hunt, hide and seek, but everybody who hides has a paint opportunity, and you can paint yourself into the actual environment. Oh, this was in the every game coming out in September video.
54:22Nick Scarpino:Yes. Or in June. So this game bangs. It's a ton of fun with friends. You can play with up to one to 24 friends. We had a big community night last night. We're going to try to put it on a party mode when everybody's here. This game is a ton of fun. Awesome. I want to be on that party mode. Thank you. This is like, that's a cool concept. Mechichameleon, I didn't know your game. I apologize. This is fucking awesome. Good for that. Yeah. Five million.
54:50Blessing Adeoye Jr.:That's crazy. That's real good. How much is it? Five bucks. I wonder if this is one of those ones where it's like you set it at a price that is hard for people to say no to. What do you think? I'm going to say less than$10. Oh, so close. $6. Oh, damn.
55:08Nick Scarpino:$6. Yeah. That's a good price. Good for them, though. Yeah, good price. Shinobi Art of Vengeance 2 is coming to Switch 2 on September 24th. Very exciting. Yeah. Shinobi Art of Vengeance is an amazing video game. And I think it's going to be very good on Switch 2. The one thing that's a little like, ah, Shinobi Art of Vengeance is on Switch 1. That's what I thought. And it didn't run well. Okay. So it's like, that sucks. That like, I don't know if there's any upgrade path or whatever, but I remember Barrett played on Switch and then like, it was like some weird thing. I think it was like locked to 30 or something like that.
55:42Nick Scarpino:So maybe something that didn't run well. It's just like, it should have ran better because of the type of game that it is, you know?
55:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:11-bit studios has laid off 20 people and that's the studio behind the altars so
55:56Nick Scarpino:i always hate to get stories like that uh and then street fighter 6 yasmin launches august 3rd
56:02Blessing Adeoye Jr.:i thought yasmin launched yesterday yeah what was the most recent street fighter thing chat because people were saying it's time something's happening street fighter 6 it's time to hop back in but i'm like i'm too busy no tifa's not until like next year really yeah i know i had the same thing somebody was like as i was playing xenoblade i'm in the x-hole tim um as i was in the x-hole somebody was like yo you hop it into street fighter 6 and i'm like when sifa coming out i looked it up that's when i'll hop into street fighter 6 yeah yeah no i'm excited to get back to it for you know a night just for my girl tifa somebody said ingrid is in street fighter they're just making characters now um that's it for your wee news
56:46Nick Scarpino:let's see
56:50Ingrid is an old character what happened this week in Street Fighter chat
56:58Blessing Adeoye Jr.:what's what what happened in Street Fighter this week that like had people being like you or are people just hyped is that the thing are people just excited for Street Fighter
57:08Nick Scarpino:let me know F2FMonkey has a good you're wrong here. Halo Reach wasn't entirely Newcastle characters created for the game. Fall of Reach introduces Blue Team, which is Fred and Linda, my goats, who did not appear in a mainline Halo game until Halo 5. So it was Halo 5. I was mixing that with Reach because the book's called Fall of Reach, and that would make sense.
57:25Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Pat is saying the Yasmin gameplay trailer release. Okay, I guess that's what it is. That's fun.
57:31Nick Scarpino:Kebabs, you know what you did. And no one else will, because I'm not reading that. But you know. You know. Kebabs, you know the rules. they even self-admitted here they knew oh my god they knew and i'm like no you fucking know
57:48Blessing Adeoye Jr.:god um oh yasmin's filipino oh i'm in let's go listen i love filipino i love them that's my culture
58:04what you gonna do uh i hang out around michael hymn too much yeah and so like listen he's honorary nigerian in my book i'm honoring i mean nevermind
58:19Nick Scarpino:everyone we're resetting okay reset we're resetting okay 100 days at a time uh love little 5514 says nine years of games daily is insane i remember listening to you guys while on the school bus in high school talking about battlefront 2 now i'm married with two beautiful dogs i love you guys also my name's levi like the jeans thank you for the correction there i was gonna say like the attack on titan character yeah yeah levi you ever finished attack on titan no me neither i got i'm like attack on titan even finish attack on titan yeah i don't know if i'm getting i don't know if i'm getting got but i saw uh recently a post that was just like the final finale finale final final like some crazy shit coming next year it was just like you're fucking with i'm pretty sure it's done I think it ended like four times, but I think they're going back for a fifth.
59:07Somebody says, Attack on Titan is done. But like, do you know what I'm talking about? I know what you're talking about, but I feel like that was a few years ago.
59:15Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Did I just get AI'd? You might have got, yeah, it might have been a meme that you fell for.
59:21Nick Scarpino:Maybe.
59:22Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Because I remember when that was happening in real time, where they were like, oh, the Attack on Titan finale is going to be in multiple parts.
59:30Nick Scarpino:I don't know. i don't know and i can't find out because if i type type in attack on titan finale there'll be four different years given to me yeah because they split that season into three parts right the final season i don't even want to think about attack on titan final season
59:47Blessing Adeoye Jr.:because i just remember in the moment everybody being like what is happening yeah is it ending multiple times this doesn't matter that's this much i'm gonna move on um jbc says bless is invited to the the barbecue hell yeah hey listen there's a filipino barbecue spot oh yeah in daily city if i'm invited to the barbecue i'm there make sure there's longanisa bro i'm there man we go chicken adobo make sure it's there and some lumpy on the side
1:00:23Nick Scarpino:um zarky says watch the new p4r broadcast video the drop to get hype tell mike to get on the persona train you think mike and persona does he need to get in the p-hole we're not we can't call
1:00:33Blessing Adeoye Jr.:it the p-hole let's see far um what is this three years after the anime finale attack on titan is officially back with next major release no there was a poster i saw that i think was uh what was
1:00:49Nick Scarpino:her name mikasa yeah that i think was her like looking at a tree and it literally had the word
1:00:55Blessing Adeoye Jr.:final like multiple times i i refuse to believe i don't i here's the thing mike has such a wide palette when it comes to video games i feel like persona this might be too much of like a commitment because like if i was to recommend a persona game it would be persona 5 but that game is like 120 hours long if you're playing royal it might be even longer than that i don't know if mike has it in it for all that now i think mike would enjoy metaphor metaphor re-fantasia a bit more contained yeah when i say contained i mean like 70 to 80 hours yeah i think gameplay wise he's ready for that yeah i think it would love i think he would love the gameplay too i did watch the p4 revival video last night and it restored the feeling i'm excited dean says i just listened to this
1:01:48Nick Scarpino:audiobook a month ago i'm pissed damn that sucks amazing spider dan says would you guys advise dropping beast of reincarnation for ocarina of time remake on fantasy critic i'm hoping control resident doesn't move to 2027 yes yeah yeah i mean honestly i think the only fear would be ocarina doesn't hit this year which what do you think are the odds very slim like it's june and nintendo said 2026 why would they do that they're just praying gta slips so they can slip ocarina red in there but i mean like i feel i feel like they'll just go earlier with it like nintendo we know just sits on finished games yeah like their release strategy i i think the only reason that they didn't put a date on it this close is because they are just like trying to see what happens with GTA because if GTA does move, then they can actually get Zelda's anniversary date.
1:02:47So I'm very confident.
1:02:51Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'm like a 10 % chance that it slips. Yeah, I'd say less than 5%. Less than 5? Okay. No, bid on Ocarina for sure. I think that's a risk worth taking. Ocarina, if they fuck
1:03:03Nick Scarpino:Ocarina up, they won't. They won't. But I'm saying like the most you can fuck ocarina up it's still gonna get an 85 metacritic yeah right you probably even higher than that yeah it's just like yeah i just feel like the the core games there and we know that they're remaking that core game that core game is the highest rated metacritic game of all time yeah no no no beast of reincarnation is a real nice roll of the dice yeah that's the thing
1:03:32Blessing Adeoye Jr.:what studio is remaking ocarina do you think it's the main zella studio
1:03:39Nick Scarpino:uh no i don't who do you think is doing it i think it's going to be a collab between monolith soft and uh maybe agresso i think they'll just be like a couple different people
1:03:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:now that i'm playing xenoblade oh yeah i hope monolith is on it the game is hot yeah man
1:03:53Nick Scarpino:uh and monolith usually helps with like some of their bigger more open games um i'm pretty sure they helped with scarlet and violet as well not that that didn't necessarily they didn't help enough yeah they shouldn't put their name in the credits for that one if they did don't claim it um let's see and those environments the xenoblade chronicles professor cat says remember when greg sang the entire closing time song that made my heart happy that was a good one yeah that was good it was also like the longest four minutes of my life but sometimes you don't understand what it's like to be on this desk with Greg Miller.
1:04:30Anything can happen. Anything can happen. I like that he's he... I think he feels more free with you. I think the fact that he co-owns the business with you and I'm his employee, he's willing to do more to you than he is. Do anything to me.
1:04:42Nick Scarpino:Do anything. I don't think that there is a line. I really... Especially after this week. I don't know the full thing that happened this
1:04:51Blessing Adeoye Jr.:week, but I think I've caught parts of it. And if the story is the way that I've molded it in my head that's insane i mean i'm just this is my first time even talking about this i
1:05:00Nick Scarpino:don't want to say it all because i imagine we will tell the full story and like be able to show footage at some point i know we're working on some stuff i was sick this week on monday yeah i think it was monday i was sick the type of sick where i ate some bad food i was shitting my brains out all day it was not fun it sucked and the kf podcast happens and i see a slack come through that is for the headline that they need to be made that was like tim don't watch this until it happens and i'm like fuck my life what could it possibly be i go on with my life which just meant shitting every five minutes yeah feeling like garbage i slack greg at like 3 40 about some work stuff and i follow up with like dude i've never shit this much in my life this fucking sucks 20 minutes later I get a doorbell ring and I look through my nest cam and there's just a woman in a pink dress with a guitar and I'm like I don't want to deal with this so I just ignored it 5 minutes go by and the doorbell rings again and I'm like what the fuck I look and she's still there and I scroll back looking at the footage and I'm like she's just been standing there the whole time I'm like, I'm still not going to deal with this.
1:06:23Nick Scarpino:This can't go. There's nothing about this good. Mind you, I didn't think anything about kind of funny. There's a million. I was like, no matter what, I'm getting scammed. Something's about to happen here. I see her put her phone down and start recording. And I'm like, no, no, no. What is this? I don't like this, right? I have a daughter. Okay, I don't need this fucking bullshit. She proceeds to open the gate to my house. And I'm like, you've crossed a line. That's crazy. You crossed a line. And we had left it unlocked for a very specific reason that day. Yeah. And so I'm like, hmm, I don't like this.
1:07:00Nick Scarpino:So that's what I'm like. Now I need to go down and deal with this. I opened the door. She looks me straight in the eyes and just goes, are you Tim? I'm like, yeah. And she goes, this is from your bosses, Greg and Nick. And she proceeds to sing at me for the next couple of minutes. And I'll leave it there. There's some more details. But that's what a good friend does. my my boss yeah and then when she finishes she goes happy six month work anniversary that's good that what is i want to know what's going on in her brain that
1:07:34Blessing Adeoye Jr.:bosses of a company would hire her for a six month work anniversary to sing directly
1:07:38Nick Scarpino:to somebody's face at their home and i need to let you know bless like how much imagine how i looked oh yeah i imagine you were disheveled i was disheveled it was horrible i can't i don't not know what this poor woman was thinking and how much did we pay you'll have to watch a kind of funny podcast to find out it is an upsetting amount of money okay good for her because i don't know how much you would have to pay me to do that oh they had to pay for it to happen we had to pay that we we i guess it was we i guess i this did come out of the kind of funny money so this They had to pay a rush fee Because it was hours Ahead of time They had to pay for her travel Plus if we didn't pay the rush fee She might have arrived At like 6pm And we didn't want to Tim I really wasn't involved They didn't want to Possibly affect the baby You know Scar the baby for life We didn't know how aggressive the singing would be It was aggressive That's pretty good.
1:08:39Nick Scarpino:You'll see. Tim, just so you know, Greg said you weren't really sick. So, I mean, this otherwise no one would have done it to be clear. What Greg meant by that was Tim's not really sick as in like, he's doesn't have a fever. Yeah. He doesn't have the flu. He's butt sick. Yeah. Jesus, please. Which is a valid sickness, by the way. Yeah. I want to validate you. Thank you. You were not doing well that day. Yeah. Oh man. Well, everybody happy nine years of kind of funny games daily happy juneteenth and uh are we getting filipino barbecue for lunch i mean i'm kind of down i don't know what the day is looking like
1:09:16Blessing Adeoye Jr.:there's a new spot yeah we'll talk about that we'll talk about it later yeah the gas station is that what we're talking about no but i mean i'm i guess i'm gonna do that too
1:09:25Nick Scarpino:anyways y 'all been our pleasure to serve you
