1:58We'll have all this and more because this is Kind of Funny Games Daily.
2:08Buenos dias gamers, welcome to Kind of Funny Games Daily for Monday, November 10th, 2025. I am Andy and I'm joined by Roger.
2:19Tim Gettys:Andy, pleasure to be with you. Hey, Roger. But it's been a weekend. We haven't seen each other in a while. I think we need to get on the same page. Let's start the show with our signature harmony. You start and I'll join you. Oh, you don't want to go in reverse. Nah, I want to join you. Oh, man. Better. I'm learning. Definitely an improvement. Definitely an improvement. Roger, I spent the weekend in your hometown. Yeah, you did. Got to kind of just, you know, be one once amongst the, you know, all of the. You saw Zoran. A lot of communism over there already. So much communism. Man, holy shit. It's crazy.
2:52We're going wild over there. New York, you know, got to be in the Big Apple. Saw Jay-Z, saw my parents. Man, a concrete jungle. Dreams are made of them there. So sick. Beautiful town. What'd you eat? Tall buildings. Yeah. What did I eat? I had some Italian the first night.
3:07Tim Gettys:Okay. Had a little, yeah, a little CC's pizza. Found a local joint. Yeah. Just a local mom and pop shop. Is that the buffet pizza place? Ah, you know. I went to an Italian spot the first night I had a good Spicy meatball Holy shit Some spaghetti with some meatballs Delicious they were so good Big meatballs It was only one And I feel like that was their statement All you need is one I love when An older man walks up to you I feel like Most people would not be Comfortable by that situation But an older man walks up to you in a restaurant and goes, how's the food tonight? How's everything treating you?
3:51Yeah. Everything good tonight? Can I get you anything? That's great. And you're like, oh, you're the manager. You're the guy. You're, you know, fucking Donnie whatever, whatever the restaurant's name is. Like, oh, it's actually, it's your, you're the guy. Yeah. And I love that. It makes me feel so at home. It makes me feel like I'm like Italian with, you know, and the, I will say the bread, not good.
4:12Tim Gettys:Oh, yeah. Did you tell Donnie that? Nah, I didn't want to break Donnie's heart. Nah, you don't want to do that to Donnie. The bread looked very kind of pre-packaged. And that was the only not great part of the meal. Everything else was great. And the next night, by the way, what was I doing in New York? I was playing Metroid Prime 4 Beyond. Beyond. And I'll be able to talk all about it on Friday. That's cool. So super stoked about that. But the next night was, hmm, I want a little New York slice, Raj. I want a New York slice. Yeah, you do. And I got the New York slice that I think most New Yorkers would go, ah, there's way better than that.
4:49But this is the most convenient for me. I got two bros.
4:53Tim Gettys:Yeah, that's the right choice. Because I always assumed that two bros would be the spot that New Yorkers are like, yeah, that's the place you go if you. It's not the greatest slice you'll ever find. But I'm a big proponent when it comes to New York pizza because everyone says, oh, where's the place to go? I'm like, whatever's closest. Whatever's closest, whatever you can afford, because that's what it is. It's just a street food at the end of the day. It is just a street food that you can find, and everyone has their favorites, of course. But I ate two bros all the fucking time when I was at FIT.
5:21Dude, it was fantastic.
5:23Tim Gettys:Was it a late night one? No, not really. It was around 7 p.m. That shit hits at fucking like 1 a.m. I can't imagine. Get a little drunk. Oh, my gosh. The flights. What a disaster this whole weekend was flight-wise. But the best thing happened to me. And I won't be able to tell the story anywhere else. So welcome to Kind of Funny Games Daily. but uh you know my flight i i was talking to some people at the nintendo event yeah what time is your flight tomorrow i said out of la guardia it's a connecting flight and we're they're like oh damn la guardia doesn't do directs you know newark and jfk do direct flights to sfo i was like oh shoot let me pay a little bit extra look for a direct flight so i picked a 7 a.m flight from New York to, or from Newark in Jersey, to SFO.
6:12Yeah. Leave at 7 a.m., arrive at like 11 something a.m. I'll have my whole Saturday in front of me. Woke up at 5 a.m. to a notification. Your flight's been delayed until 1230. So panic mode ensues.
6:28Tim Gettys:Yeah. I got to go look for a different flight. I got to find something earlier. Everything that was earlier. Huh? Why don't you just wait? Because I want to have the whole Saturday. Because if I leave it, I just didn't want that to happen to me. I get it, but panic code? If there was an 8 p.m. or an 8 a.m. available, I would have taken it. If it was a 9 a.m., I would have taken it. But I'm panicking. I'm panicking at this point. I'm looking for other flights. Everything's booked. Everything's booked solid, Raj. Okay. And then I was like, I guess I'll just settle for this noon flight instead of the 1230.
7:09And I looked at the noon flight, only middle seats available. And then I said, wait a second. What if I just wait for the 1230 flight that was already delayed? My 7 a.m. went to noon.
7:21Tim Gettys:Wait, you were going to move it up to a 30 minute half hour? I was just. He needed the day, Roger. I needed the day, Roger. I needed the day. I needed to see the sun. I needed to get out and about. And then I was like, you know what? I'm just going to wait for this noon 30 flight. The one that was originally delayed. Dude, Roger, let me tell you. This is one of them gigantic jumbo planes with like three rows and then the four rows in the middle and then the threes on the far right. Big ass plane, probably the size of a fucking skyscraper. It was about 30, 40 people on this flight. I love that shit.
7:55Holy shit. I had the whole row to myself the whole time just laying up against the window legs spread out gaming falling asleep dude it was it's the best flight i've ever been in my life i slept like five hours of the six hours it was so fantastic what a great flight dude aside from all the other delays that people have been dealing well good thing the the democrats opened back up the the government andy it's all gonna be better for us yeah they you know they heard they heard about your delay and we're like you know what we can't have we can't have that happen yeah yeah we're just gonna completely capitulate we're just gonna we're just gonna fall we're gonna get no gains we fought for nothing we fought for nothing we did it you like the fallout from it can't be that bad right i think we'll be okay yeah
8:37Tim Gettys:i think it'll be great uh really quick yeah go ahead this is the only time i can really talk about this for a while i had a great weekend i watched predator badlands oh what a fucking movie what if you watch pluribus as well what a fucking show and then i played a few video games i played arc raiders for the first time oh my gosh what a game had such a great time and then i played two video games i played kirby air riders they had the the test demo the tech demo or whatever people were playing yeah yeah i was confused too i was like damn everybody's like insider gamers right there that's crazy uh i thought it was like it's not for me it's like i don't know it just doesn't work for my brain my fiancee she's a big kirby so writer person she fucking adored it she was like she she was locked in like it like activated her gamer brain in a way that i haven't seen in years it's like this and animal crossing those are the two things that like just activate her gamer brain she was locked very similar yeah very similar very similar video games and then i played maybe the game of the year everybody this is not even ironic and i mean this genuinely i fucking adore hyrule age of imprisonment wow hyrule warriors age of imprisonment is fucking incredible i'm having so much fun i've never played one of these types of games what is the genre muso muso i did love it during our meeting uh greg said like yeah like maybe you're not into miso games we just all kind of i didn't catch it until later yeah uh but yeah it's so fun i the thing that i'm i was like kind of shocked by is that when people talk about these warriors games they're always like oh it's like super like repetitive it's the same shit you're just kind of like you're just the same shit over and over but the way that they have built out this game specifically and like i feel like i'm not doing the same thing over and over again right like they have so many different move sets that you're always adding in there the animations are going crazy the different characters Like I am not bored at all.
10:16Tim Gettys:And I've been playing this game for about eight hours. Like I'm having so much fucking fun. So yeah, I'm excited to keep on playing it. And yeah, this is replacing a final fantasy tactics. Oh, I dropped, which sucks. Oh no. Yeah. I just hit a wall with that. Oh no. Yeah. So, you know what I mean? He says, that's very Roger to love a mid game. Funny you say that blessing said the least surprising game for you to be. Yeah. And I stand by it. You know what I mean? I'm a fucking, I'm a man of the people. Me and Mike. You are. We're people of the, we're men of the people. And also Barrett. Barrett likes this game.

11:54It's time for some news. We have six stories today.
12:01Tim Gettys:A Baker's Dozen! I like that. There's a State of Play Japan, and it is airing this Tuesday, November 11th. Real out of nowhere. Real shocker right there. This Tuesday, we're bringing you a special episode of State of Play running for more than 40 minutes, focusing on games created in Japan and across Asia, alongside a few other exciting updates. From beloved series to distinctive indie creations, the show hosted by voice actor yuki kaji will be packed with great games interviews and new looks at anticipated tiles the state of play japan airs on youtube november 12th at 2 p.m pacific time we'll be reacting live tomorrow and make sure you get your uh super chats in for what are your predictions for the state of play um roger this you know we see this sort of thing in the morning and immediately you jump to what are games that are very japan-centric for playstation that have really yet to be shown off that have yet to be announced where does your brain go immediately and is it final fantasy 7 it's funny that's not the first one that came to my mind my i mean well i'm also yakuza pills right so i thought but the honestly the one that came to my mind is like do we see anything with yote do we see any type of like connection there like do they show legends off for the first time that was that was my first thought that's a solid call yeah how about you what was the thing that i think final fantasy part three just some sort of glimpse either um it does feel like a weird place to be a main reveal but maybe this is the start of them trying to start a new thing and you know it's always weird until it isn't uh because we're used to these reveals happening either at you know game awards or either at um you know summer game fest and stuff like that the really really large presentation yeah or like a main line whatever playstation showcase is or something like that but uh for this to be such a brand new presentation i would i i kind of expect to see something like that here um tgs that's sort of you know thinking back to kingdom hearts 4 whatever it was three years ago in a second um so yeah my brain goes to final fantasy 7 remake i see some great um mentions in the chat about either maybe it's going to be horizon the multiplayer game maybe it's going to be you know maybe whatever the multiple things you are i think you kind of nailed it with the ghosts of yote legends presentation yeah it's let's talk about final fantasy right when it comes to when it comes to that i don't i wouldn't get my hopes up just because that is such a big franchise and i do think that they have that they i know they have that connection with keely right that was where they announced rebirth was uh summer game fest i believe or they showed off that big first trailer so I would expect that to be connected to some type of big presentation or some Keeley event there but I when I when I think about this event first of all I don't chat let me know have they had a state of play Japan before is this the first time that they're doing this because this is really cool I think it's the first one I think it's really solid yeah that's a smart idea to branch out and to kind of have these set the expectations but also kind of show the arena of the things you're going to show the people.
15:17Tim Gettys:So no, it's new, first time. That's really cool. I enjoy that. I'm excited to see with a voice actor of this caliber to see how they do the presentation of this, right? Is it going to have the same like, hey, it's just a voice actor in there or the little teaser image over there has like a little set going on there. Like we're going to have somebody hanging out there and talking and showing the games off and more of like a developer direct type deal. But yeah, when I think about Final Fantasy, I don't see that. Are there going to be other, do do we see like another final fantasy remake i know people were talking about six right nine was the other one that people were nine is the one that is the one that's the only one remaining on the yeah in the video i mean is that even real at this point right i don't know um but yeah maybe final fantasy 17 no way the sky tech in the chat uh member for 23 months oh it says over there uh yeah i don't i don't know i don't i don't i want to get my my hype uh my hopes up for that necessarily it's it's definitely a fascinating one considering that this is happening at 7 a.m local to japan time and 2 p.m for us here on the west coast yeah uh pacific time um because we are so used to kind of having to wake up extra early for this and this is not necessarily scheduled out for our audience this is you know this is meant to be japan first and uh i see a super chat here from foxy steve who says phantom blade zero release date um very very possible because again 2025 was always meant to be the year that we were going to get the release year for phantom blade zero hey it's still 2025 yeah um that's a good call actually but you know considering like you know i i believe phantom blade zero is it a uh chinese directed and uh produced game it's what i was under the assumption of um not to say that it still can't show up there but they do say across asia okay yeah not just japan studio is based in beijing china yeah i mean yeah very very good call i think that's a actually a pretty spot-on prediction right there from foxy steve with a$2 super chat.
17:26Kebabs with a$2 super chat says, Final Fantasy VII Reborn and somehow yet more Monster Hunter. Also a very, very good call.
17:34Tim Gettys:Yes, we have Monster Hunter Wilds. Is there going to be some type of expansion that they finally announced? We have Stories 3 out there, so I'm sure we're going to see some type of Monster Hunter stuff. Yeah, I think, I mean, Kebabs has somehow yet more Monster Hunter. To me, it's, well, that is one of the better selling games of all year. I don't see why they wouldn't try to you know obviously a DLC was an inevitability but this seems kind of like a very very perfect fit considering how massive I also think that's the kind of caliber that you're going to see at these things I mean not to get hopes up right I think our hopes go to Kingdom Hearts 4 right it's like let's bring it back we're going to see Resident Evil 9 again for the millionth time right not millionth time you know we've seen that game a bunch right we're going to see Pragmata again we're going to see these games that we've seen before probably going to see Onimusha right so I think that's the caliber that I would expect with a few pop-offs$10 super chat from Ty Wilkins VO thank you for the$10 super chat very generous of you says the voice actor is hope from Final Fantasy 13 so probably the trilogy remaster not exciting for me only thing I care about in 13 is the music I think it'll be a good show though and$10 super chat from Romance Dawn with a very speculative super chat says could this be a chance for them to tease the handheld or at least reaffirm how much they're invested on the huge Japanese handheld market and prep for an announcement.
18:54It seems like maybe too large of an announcement, but also it's, at this point, the lines have been blurred so much between what a state of play and a showcase is. And whenever I think of showcase, I feel like that is a bit more aligned with big hardware stuff. Not to say the other state of plays won't have earphones or a monitor or whatever. but I part of me feels like a handheld, maybe too large for something like this. But I think with, again, with this being the first one, I don't think anything's off the table. Like I think everything is a possibility.
19:28Tim Gettys:Really? Yeah. Like that big. I think because it's the first one, like everything will, like if this one comes out and ends up being a banger, then we'll be like, well, they were able to announce all of these things at the state of play Japan. Yeah. And because it was the first one, And maybe we just assumed that it was going to be kind of a nothing burger, but everything is weird until it happens, you know, talking about some more, uh, Marvel token fighter, I think souls, that's a good call. That's, I think that's, we got to show more of that. They had such a, when they announced that, they showed the developers, they showed the behind the scenes, like that was very much like, Hey, like this is a Japanese video game.
20:06Tim Gettys:And it would be a miss for them not to kind of go back and, and at least show some more characters and kind of go back there. Uh, But where is Decaplice? Where the fuck is Decaplice? The game that was developed by the team that did Ni No Kuni. Ni No Kuni. Decaplice? That has been announced years and years ago. When we've gone radio silent, that would be one that I would love to see. Where the fuck is Decaplice? I think I drafted that like two years ago. And that's just like, yeah, that's complete vaporware. Level five? Level five. anything with level five is a toss-up jg says yeah so i don't know uh i would love to see something like that i would love to see one of these big games that have kind of just disappeared come back i think that's a great place i have not seen this in so long i know right isn't it crazy um what about um that one weird pokemon style game in the city yokai watch no oh ghost of yokai you know what i'm talking about that uh bear knows bear knows we all know do kv thank you jamal okay v do kv is the one yeah um another one that kind of showed up and has not been seen for quite some time uh we will get to more of y 'all super chats throughout the rest of the show for whatever these predictions may be uh i see by law with a super chat says there was a rumor that sony was making a really cheap ps5 that will be region locked for japanese market oh that will probably be here too that'd be i remember hearing those rumors because of this is when all the the tariffs are kind of at their at their strongest all the rumors of how tariffs and chip manufacturing would really impact the market and it didn't uh nintendo did that with the switch too right like there's a japanese language only switch two i believe I didn't know that.
22:00Maybe that's exactly what I'm thinking of, Baron, actually. So I didn't even know about this PS5 rumor.
22:06Tim Gettys:No way we're getting Kingdom Hearts, right? Zero chance. Right? We can't believe. What do you type it in? When did we see Kingdom Hearts? Yeah, what year was that? There's no way, guys. There's no way. We can't get our hopes up. We can't be excited about this. It was TGS in 2022. There's no way. there's no way 2022 is such a long time ago but if i wanted to know see this is how you would make uh state of play japan edition really pop off and be like this is the place right is you bring back a kingdom hearts 4 like that that would be the ultimate move of like we're gonna make this something very special i just don't i just don't believe i don't even know where that game is and i don't believe that that game would show up here i think it would be connected to some type of uh keely event or a presentation specifically but man i don't know yeah vermin decks super chat says give me kingdom hearts 4 please i'm begging i know i know everybody i just don't i just don't i don't think it's time it's not the time i know these are all vibes based but isn't what all these predictions are just vibes it's so funny that you said that because i'm just looking at the wikipedia and it says uh nomura was able to finally realize his vision for versus 13 with the game and the varum rex side of the franchise and you're talking about varum deck like what perfect timing right there perfect timing what a perfect fan um let's move on to story number two and we'll get back to more super chats later throughout the show story number two seven years after it was announced the elder scroll 6 is still a long way off oh says todd howard this comes via jordan middler at vgc bethesda game director todd howard says that it's still a long way off the elder scroll 6 was announced in at ea 2018 with a brief teaser trailer which confirmed it was in pre-production at Bethesda Game Studios.
23:56Nothing has been seen of the game since, and now Bethesda Game Studios' Todd Howard has said the fans shouldn't expect the game soon. Speaking of GQ, Howard said, man, I'm just going through some real tough shit right now. Speaking of GQ, Howard said, the game is still a long way off, adding, I'm preaching patience. I don't want fans to feel anxious. Why the fuck do you show us so early? You know what I mean?
24:18Tim Gettys:Also, like, in general, do you not want me feeling anxious? Because, like, I already do. I'm already fucked up. I already do, Todd. My life's already fucked up. Anytime I hear stories about this, it reminds me of a story or a podcast I listened to way back in the day when the besties were talking about how BioWare was going through a lot of turmoil. And that they announced, hey, we still, hey, Dragon Age or Dragon Age 4 is being worked on before it was called the Veil Guard. and Justin McElroy compared that to like when you're holding, like when criminals are holding something hostage and they're like, we still have like the hostages here, you know, like don't do it.
24:58Don't try to shut us down, you know? And that's kind of what, you know, it feels like you announced something like that early on just to go, hey, shareholders, we still got this kind of cooking back there. Still cooking over here. Getting back to the article, Howard noted that he doesn't like announcing release dates for games that then having players wait a long time for that day to arrive. Quote, I'd just like to announce stuff and release it. He explained, my perfect version, and I'm not saying this is going to happen, is that it's going to be a while, and then one day the game will just appear.
25:28End quote. Asked if you wanted Bethesda to Shadow Drop, the Elder Scrolls 6, like it did with Oblivion Remastered. He replied, you might say that was a test run. It worked out well. No way. End quote.
25:38Tim Gettys:How sick would that be? Elsewhere in the interview. Man, you are such a mark already. such a mark elsewhere in the interview howard claimed that bethesda game studios has hundreds of people working on fallout right now with 76 and some other things we're doing one of the quote other things end quote howard is referring to uh bgc understands is a remaster of fallout 3 similar to this year's elder scrolls oblivion remastered shout to bgc for just throwing that in there like these other things he's talking about we know we know for sure here's what it is uh yeah I'm such a mark for that idea. I've always pitched that idea of like, what if GTA just likes that tomorrow?
26:16Tim Gettys:What if Broxer was like, hey, tomorrow GTA six is out. Like what if we did? I want, I want to have the test case of one of these massive games that we've been waiting for, for years, for decades. I want half life three to do that. It's like, Hey, half life three is out tomorrow. I want to have that moment. And we kind of had that a little bit with, with a silk song, but like it's a different scale of a video game. I would love to see in this modern generation where you don't necessarily need to get physical copies out day and day. If you could just be like, Hey, fucking here it is here's skyrim 2 we're calling it skyrim 2 because you will know skyrim more than the elder scrolls at this point here's skyrim 2 it's out tomorrow fuck man i would be so fascinated to look at the heat maps if this thing randomly happened of like what the energy consumption is in the world right what it would do to internet usage what it would do to just like data centers and suddenly it's like oh that's that's the day where we forwarded global warming by like tenfold.
27:10Tim Gettys:You still have to filter out all the AI centers because they're still going to be red hot, but like everywhere else. Yeah, I get what you're saying. For sure. Yeah, you know, this is a fascinating story because it's just very, very contradictive the whole way through. It's, hey, we announced this thing. I don't like doing that. I don't like fans to feel anxious. Okay, well, we're talking about the thing you did, though. So like you are doing that. You are participating in the anxiety for franchises like this. I think, I wonder if part of it is this thing gets announced and maybe they maybe the success of the fallout show really kind of makes the company pivot in a way that says like hey we could have fast-tracked this elder scrolls game but we got to put more people back on 76 actually like we were we had scaled that down we got to ramp that a bit back up and let's work on this fallout 3 remaster or whatever other stuff is kind of in the, in the works.
Read the full transcript
28:06I wonder, especially in the day and age where we are so IP dependent. Yes. And when something is hot, you need to capitalize it for these companies and you need to capitalize on it and just go like full in on whatever that IP is. I wonder how much of that maybe sort of change some things for Bethesda. I would love to Jason Shryer. You got to get in there, like figure it, you know, climb through the, climb through the air, through the vents. that's how he gets all the scoop yeah figure out some info because i i i part of me really does believe that the success of the show i think the show could have come out and been a failure and been a dud and been a halo yeah sort of situation and maybe not as much emphasis gets put on fallout but because it was so good because it was so successful because it because they see the the the fallout uh no pun intended of whoa everybody's buying all these old games now look at these player counts on all all the old fallout games this is staggering what it's doing we have to
29:10Tim Gettys:really go full in here yeah no i think about that with of course i think the re the fall three remaster is kind of an answer to that right is that that's them being like hey we need to get something out the door for season two or whatever that whenever that's going to drop right but i also i want to know of like are they gonna finally do it are they actually gonna do elder scrolls and then also a fallout game like in development at the same time like because that's i think the dream that if i was a microsoft xbox executive i'm looking at that team i'm like hey todd i know you love doing one game at a time but like we got to figure this shit out man we got you can't we can't wait another 15 years or whatever it's going to be for a proper mainline fallout game There has to be an answer to that, and I think that the remaster is that answer, but I don't think it's the full answer that Xbox would be very happy with.
29:57Tim Gettys:They want to have these franchises out, if not annual, but at a regular pace. So that is the Fallout of Fallout, the TV show, that I want to know about, is has that changed the behind-the-scenes of how they get these games out there? Because I wouldn't be surprised if they're like, hey, actually, we're working on Fallout 5 as well at the same time, and we're going to kind of get that out pretty soon. that's soon especially considering just how long game development now takes yeah and if you are and if you've read any of the tea leaves throughout the industry and when starfield comes out the amount of people that kind of felt similarly saying damn like this this was the studio that we expect to drop the obvious success that is starfield this is the most anticipated This is Skyrim in space.
30:49This is Fallout in space. And it comes out. And generally a lot of people say, we've seen other developers, including a lot of other smaller developers, put out stuff of equal quality. And just because you're going bigger doesn't necessarily mean better. But just considering how large those games were back in the day and how you need to keep on one-upping yourself, including the amount of just how crazy long it takes to develop games nowadays. Yeah, we can't be on these 12-year cycles. And at this point, it kind of is starting to feel like they are leaning towards the 10-year cycle as opposed to, you know, all right, Fallout game comes out, five years later, Elder Scrolls, five years later, another Fallout.
31:38It feels like we have just sort of expanded that timeline a lot more.
31:41Tim Gettys:yeah and also what is starfield gonna look like right of like are we there's that room those rumors of the 2.0 version that playstation's gonna get you know what i mean like are we gonna actually how much of that team is working on starfield to try to fix that ship pun intended and kind of turn it around a little bit so yeah i would love to jason shire get in there yeah yeah somebody call uh in the twitch chat call them the solid snake of games journalism i love that i just want to see my jason i think if we pitched that to him he would love that anytime you just press the button we have it automated he just shows up on the screen all the scoops you just have todd hire like huh what was that noise must be the wind uh let us know what your thoughts are uh with in super chats chat uh regarding elder scroll 6 why it's such a long ways away um you know whenever i see that game logo i still it reminds me so much of seeing the metroid prime 4 logo you know like it was this that's one of the first large things that i reacted to was the metroid prime 4 thing in 2017 that was like i think my first like couple months on the job and it's unbelievable that we are here now um i uh i will get to story number three, Roger.

This is in regards to the PlayStation State of Play Japan happening tomorrow?
38:02Tim Gettys:If you put a gun to my head, I would not have been able to say. Tomorrow? Yeah, tomorrow. I don't think I've seen this game. Really? Where did this debut? I was thinking about the other Suda game. Didn't he have another Suda game come around? This had to have been a state of play or showcase. I could see this tomorrow. Yeah, I think that's a very good call. Romeo is a Dead Man was a very cool, striking visual game. And I think that 2D part was maybe only for the trailer. I don't know if that was part of the game, but it always reminded me very much of Adult Swim, whenever you see the little interstitials that they have.
38:37By the way, episode four of Smiling Friends didn't love it.
38:40Tim Gettys:Oh, I need to watch it. I need to watch it. I thought it was okay. It's not the one from the, is that the clicker? No, it's a different episode. It was the Halloween episode. But the good thing is that these episodes are so short, you can get a... Yeah, I thought it was okay. It's fine. Portland Kevin with a$2 super chat says, it would be cool to see Tides of Annihilation again. I agree. Tides of Annihilation looks awesome. That's the... Okay. What I kept calling the 3D version of like Ender Magnolia or Ender Lilies which is a 2D Metroidvania, but this is the 3D version of it where you're not really ever...
39:16You're kind of attacking, but whenever you do, you're summoning a spirit to attack for you and every move is summoning a new dude to always attack for you. The game looks so freaking awesome. It's starring Jennifer English. You can't get a game without Jennifer English and Ben Starr nowadays. It's a requirement. Do you think Ben Starr gets announced tomorrow is one of the oh he's got to be in it there's no way he's not in this game yeah these uh yeah the art direction of this game looks freaking fantastic um veram decks uh you already read that super chat from veram decks thank you veram decks for your super chat aaron lime says hail mary prediction sony is trying to focus more on japan do they announce a new japan-based studio all they got there is team isobi and polyphony oh that makes sense maybe maybe a writing of the ship like let's get let's kind of get back to our roots yeah
40:10Tim Gettys:we don't usually see announcements of studios yeah i agree i could i could see this being like the seeds of some maybe they have like some second party you know situation and then that leads to something but i wouldn't be surprised if that's i could only see an announcement if it was a big name if it was former devs that you know even if it's not a name we recognize but it's like oh they were the ones who led these japan based studios or whatever you know um weiss cast with a two dollar super chat says is part of the dead length dev length tied to an adaptation part of the dev length are you talking about fallout maybe possibly maybe elder scrolls are they making a is that what they're going for maybe maybe interesting koba with a five dollar our super chat says, new work hours.
40:57Let me watch live on a delay. I predict shadow of the Colossus and demon souls on PC dynasty warriors. Gameplay shout out Raj in Mike,
41:05Tim Gettys:man of the people, man of the people, men of the people, um, demon souls. I don't know if it ever comes to PC. Really? I just, why? Cause it would have happened by now. Yeah. I, that's just one that I, to go along with the, where is a bloodborne remaster? where it's a Bloodborne remake. I put that in the camp of... Interesting. They put out Demon's Souls remake on PS5. Maybe From Software didn't love what happened with it, art direction-wise, and what they did to their baby. And then maybe Sony heard about that and said, hey, we don't want to step on any feet anymore. We're not going to do anything unless you all...
41:46Because we don't want to upset you, Hidetaka Miyazaki, and the rest of From Software. and I just I think that game just lives on PS5 for the rest of the time.
41:55Tim Gettys:Yeah in my heart of hearts I think that they're maybe waiting for the perfect time like the perfect From Software drought right where they're like hey maybe this is we have like a year where there's not going to be anything from From Software we're going to poop it out right now but I don't also From Software is just putting out so many fucking games so that's never going to happen. Yeah very very bizarre. Story number three. Dispatch has been a massive success for developer ad hoc studios so a second season is now a consideration this comes from victoria phillips kennedy at euro gamer dispatch has been a massive success and uh the team has admitted it will have to think about giving us all a second season it's an episodic superhero workplace comedy with the first installments released in early october since then it was announced that dispatch has sold over 1 million copies in just 10 days then more recently the game topped its original player peak on Steam after its latest episodes made their comic debut.
42:50Even though the final episodes haven't been released yet, the Dispatch team has now acknowledged how popular its game is and admitted it will have to consider another season of its workplace comedy. Adhoc co-founders Nick Herman and Pierre Chouret recently appeared on Skillups, the Friends per Second podcast, where host Jake Baldino asked the studio's next project. Pierre Chouret said Adhoc is going to have to at least think about it. The studio founder added that was a question mark three weeks ago, but obviously things have changed now. And just as a reminder on Wednesday, we will have a review and spoiler cast for the finale.
43:28Tim Gettys:Yeah. Very, very exciting. It'll be a games cast late in the afternoon. So we'll do games daily. Then I think kind of funny podcast and then the stream, and then we'll do games cast in the afternoon. So Greg blessing and myself can have time to play the last two episodes because those won't come out until 9 a.m. for everybody. I'll say this, man. Say it. These writers need to write for everybody. The writing of this game is so damn good. I'm so glad it's finding success. I know the biggest question marks leading into it were we've seen so many other studios fuck up the episodic release calendar.
44:05You release one episode a month after the other one comes out, and then that second episode gets delayed because of things or whatever, but when you have a solid plan and when you have things perfectly laid out, I don't know if this game would be as much of a success as it is, especially financially right now with having a million in 10 days if it wasn't episodic. I think if the game fully came out, I think right now people are realizing what the release schedule is and people are wanting to hop in on the zeitgeist. this is a big thing of the moment this is a massive movement people are get are super excited to see what's happening and they're hearing so much buzz there's so much word of mouth
44:49Tim Gettys:what a great success this is and you're seeing i'm seeing it on the social video side of it right where like when ign puts up a trailer for the next episodes and and the look forward it's fucking getting hundreds of thousands of views right you're seeing the tiktoks of people being like this is what happens when you pour water on this guy this is what happens when you put the pour the gasoline on the guy like it's it's you're seeing that social movement and the people being like what game is this what game is this and like we talked about the telltale model for years now at this point uh ever since telltale went under and can they come back is what's the right move how do you even do that in 2025 and i think they're showing that not only one is there a hunger for this type of game there's also a hunger for original new ips that are using this type of format and genre and then three uh we're seeing that you can do episodic games if you actually are able to do it weekly like if you're not just doing the hey we're gonna see you in two months from now like people six months from or we're gonna do one half here and then the other half here which is what they did for uh what's that game fuck love and bloom and rage bloom and rage bloom and onion yeah well i played the first episode i heard the first half and i was like that's fine i guess oh i have to wait a month okay well i'm already playing five different games now it actually follows through on the promise of what telltale was trying to do for so long but then kept stumbling on over and over again.
46:09And I do think this really puts a lot of pressure on when Telltale does have their next big release, which they announced, what was it? Wolf Among Us 2. Wolf Among Us 2 years ago. Does that ever actually hit? And if it does, do they run into the same problems as they've done before? Because when I did my hands-off preview and we got a little bit of interview time and asking the devs questions, Like you could tell they were very passionate about like they believe in the episodic formula and wanting to prove that it works and not being beholden to a certain engine that would hold people back on, you know, like getting things to work, which would eventually lead to, you know, a pile up of dev issues coming in and then, you know, having to delay stuff.
46:55Tim Gettys:so yeah yeah it's i am so i've said this so many times like wolf among us too i love wolf among us i don't remember shit about wolf among us it is such a bad call that the the entire future of that company is based on wolf among us too like it's not gonna end well like there's no way that that ends well and it just it's it's great to see that this team which was working on a lot of them working on wolf among us too from what i've heard like it move over here make their own thing and you could see the success there and i think that telltale is kind of looking around being like fuck that could have been us and now we're kind of stuck with wolf among us too which again it's probably going to be good i like wolf among us one but man what a what a tough decision right there and what a what a mark of not only such a massive achievement but what a mark of a really smart tight development team with great production and great producers yeah keeping all that shit on schedule making sure all this shit is ready to rock like you don't get to those levels without really really good producers keeping people on track and making sure that everything's kind of lining up perfectly um i got to play episodes five and six last night and was just floored by this experience it's one that i want to try to figure out how to show my dad like i don't want him i don't want him to watch my let's play but it's like i won't this is something he would enjoy because he loves and he loves invincible he loves the boys like this is a story that needs to be seen by anybody who enjoys drama like that with yeah high stakes with great writing awesome humor great call actually because i'm going back home in a few weeks my mom loves invincible and all this stuff and i haven't played i played the first episode dispatch and lianza has been waiting waiting for me to play the rest so i was like what if we just kind of have like family movie nights or whatever that would be play amazing that'd be really fun it's a good idea yeah uh shout out to ad hoc what an awesome achievement that is so far and really really hope that like If they stick the landing, this could be serious content.
48:51Tim Gettys:And they're doing the Critical Role game as well? Wasn't that announced a few months ago? But either way. Possibly. I know that this game is in collaboration with Critical Role whenever those credits start up. Story number four. And real quick, just as another reminder, Wednesday, Gamescast will be later in the day because Greg, Bless, and Barrett will be playing through the final two episodes and we'll be doing a Gamescast spoiler cast for that day. First half review, I would imagine second half spoiler. Like we won't start off like, because we did, we got access, early access only to the first half of the season.
49:35We only reviewed the first two episodes. So we'll do like a full season review, give our full thoughts because I'll definitely want to update my thoughts for how lukewarm I was on the first two episodes and then where I'm at now.
49:47Tim Gettys:Hell yeah. Story number four, Halo Infinite's next major update will be its last. So Halo Studios can focus on multiple Halo titles in development. This comes from Wesley Yenpol at IGN. Microsoft has announced plans to put Halo Infinite into maintenance mode later this month. So developer Halo Studios can focus on working on multiple new Halo games. In a blog post, Halo Studios said, Operation Infinite due out November 18th is the last major update currently planned for the Xbox and PC first-person shooter, but insisted it will support players with challenges, ranked rewards, and community events throughout the next year and beyond.
50:25Operation Infinite's free 100-tier Operation Pass and 100-tier Premium Pass have no planned expiration date. One of the new Halo games Halo Studios is working on is Halo Campaign Evolved, which is due out at some point in 2026 across PC, Xbox, and PS5. Halo Studios did not say what the other upcoming Halo games are. Quote, as we look back on four years of evolution and updates in Halo Infinite, we'd like to thank our community for your steadfast support, said Halo Studios. Without your feedback and enthusiasm, Halo Infinite multiplayer would not be the special place it is today. A robust arena for slaying and playing with something for every Spartan.
51:06With multiple Halo titles in development, we'll need our whole team's combined focus to deliver new experiences with the same passion and care that our community has given us. While we remain committed to supporting Halo Infinite on the road ahead, Operation Infinite is the last major content update currently planned.
51:24Tim Gettys:To quote Adele, we could have had it all. This could have been it. We could have had it all. That's not harmonizing. It's just singing the same note. Yeah, you're just doing the same note. That was good. That was good. It was harmonizing. In what way? What makes you say that? I mean, we had some. I will never forget that launch. I will never forget. It's the most magical thing I've experienced in a while. It's beautiful. It comes out. It's like Elden Ring and Halo Infinite. It comes out. It's like, oh, it's free to play. Oh, also, the servers aren't borked. Oh, also, we can just play with your friends and everyone's online.
51:53Tim Gettys:Everybody from all the parts of my life are together playing Halo Infinite. It was so beautiful. and then just we didn't fucking update it. We didn't update it. We didn't update it the right way. I'm happy that I guess we're going in a hopefully better direction. Hopefully they've learned the lessons from that. But also like, man, I just look at this as just such a missed opportunity and just a little sad. Just a little sad. I miss it. Yeah, it's definitely something that I didn't see ending this quickly. Even when we talk about just what the player base is. is Raj, can you look up for me on SteamDB what the Halo player count is currently?
52:32And that would be for Steam only. It wouldn't count Xbox gamers and all that.
52:35Tim Gettys:Halo Infinite, oof, is that 1 ,700 people playing it right now. 1 ,700? The 24 peak is 3 ,768. Whoa, that is way lower than I anticipated. Yeah. So when we hear about numbers like that, again, that's PC only. That's not counting Xbox. But still, much lower than I would have anticipated. and i think i think really what fast tracks all of this is everything going cross-console campaign evolved becoming like the the main thing and as paris lily on uh twitter mentioned earlier this morning hey you may be angry that there's been no halo campaign evolved multiplayer announced yet i'm with him that i don't think you announce the first halo that's going to playstation without dropping a multiplayer yes i like i don't see that as a possibility microsoft has done dumb shit before but i don't know if you do that on like this is our first big playstation game like the first time you're seeing halo with the ps5 logo how bizarre it is no i don't see it dropping without multiplayer um and i think all of their totally like turning the tides of what their business plans are really all you know i think halo infinite is kind of one of the things that definitely gets changed through all of those those moving parts oh for sure yeah i i am so like there needs to be this year not not next year there needs to be this year a halo multiplayer that comes out on PlayStation 5.
54:14Tim Gettys:That is a huge, huge missed opportunity. In my mind, if we were to do this, it would be like Campaign Evolved comes out March, you know, April, and then we get end of the year, we get a Halo thing, but I just don't, I think that's gonna be the November, December game, is gonna be Campaign Evolved, because there is no date. I think that is gonna be later on in the year. And then where does the, what is that multiplayer? Is it just a free-to-play, you know, hey, we're doing Halo Infinite again, and this is the baseline, and we're gonna build up? No, it has to be just Halo. Well, it has to be in Unreal 4.
54:42Yes, it wouldn't be using the slip space.
54:44Tim Gettys:And like, I feel like it's too early for them to have a whole baseline. Yeah, have a whole baseline of what the future of Halo is going to be. And also, I don't think they want to do a Halo Infinite again. You know what I mean? I think they want to have maybe these smaller multiplayer experiences that they can finally build off of and eventually do, you know, hey, here's the free to play Halo experience for everybody. But I don't know. What do I know? But this is it's sad to see that Halo Infinite is gone. But I hope that they have a replacement this year. Well, I do wonder, like, what do you think the current temperature is on releasing a Halo game in the year 2026?
55:22And it's going to be their first multiplayer game on a PlayStation console. This is all theoretical. Sure. What do you think the temperature is of we can't just release an arena mode? It can't just be 4v4 or 6v6 or big team battle. we need to have the first battle royale which i feel like we're five years past that point uh but we've seen a lot of success with something like battlefield 6 uh red sec is this finally time to release that do something new in the genre or what i've been wanting for ever since i touched held divers 2 was like oh man can you imagine this in the in the halo universe yeah with with the sort of variety with enemies that you experience in the Halo universe.
56:09Tim Gettys:Yeah. Like, I think if this drops, first off, I don't love them just doing Campaign Evolved early in the year. And then, hey, multiplayer's there on the year. I think that's a massive myth. You think they need to be at the same time? I think it has to be at the same time. I think you have to, that's lightning in a bottle. Yeah. You know, however long those numbers will be there, I think you lose enthusiasm if it's, and multiplayer's coming nine months after, like, I just don't know if the sauce is there the excitement's there well it's free to play well yeah that's what i was thinking right like it's like if they do the campaign evolved hey pay your 70 60 bucks hopefully that game's not 70 bucks by the way that's insane uh but whatever that amount of money that is and then hey we have a free-to-play thing that's coming out later that get excited for um but yeah i i would love if it is that battlefield about sorry uh battle royale type deal or it is something that you can just jump into that isn't hey we're gonna just do infinite again it is a singular special experience that me and my friends can jump into, and then eventually you will get that traditional Halo multiplayer later on.
57:07Roger, I'd like to hit you with a pizza bet right now.
57:10Tim Gettys:Oh, wow. He's writing it down, everybody. Pizza bet. Thank you, Bear. What do you think Halo Campaign Evolved launches at price-wise? I'm saying$49.99.
57:32Tim Gettys:that's the number i was gonna say but i like a pizza bet and i like pizza i'm gonna say 60 i'm gonna say 69.99 yeah 59.99 pizza bet everybody write that down put it in a spreadsheet i i wrote uh on my notes app pizza hut uh halo andy says uh let's see handy says Halo campaign evolved will be 50. Raj says 60. Alright. There we go, everybody. We did it. It's marked down, everybody. It's in a document of some sort. Notepad. I haven't seen someone open up a notepad in 10 years. Oh, I use a notepad all the time. Really? You save? Or you just open it up? Dude, it just saves automatically. It's crazy.
58:20It's just like, it's always there. Whenever you open a notepad, it's just there. The shit that you wrote two years ago is still there.
58:24Tim Gettys:Now I see myself talking about Hyrule Warriors. Dude, I love Notepad. You're insane. Don't get me started. I love Notepad, dude. Okay. This is a, you know, these are all things to consider. All things to consider, Raj. I'm excited for whatever that may be. Story number five. The final story of the day. FromSoft's parent company reveals we'll get Elden Ring Night Reign DLC by March. This comes from Vicky Blake at Eurogamer. FromSoftware has not finished with Elden Ring or spinoff. Night Rain just yet. That's according to parent company Katakawa, which revealed its latest financials that with Elden Ring Night Rain, quote, performing well beyond initial expectations, end quote, we can expect new DLC by the end of this financial year, which is the end of March 2026.
59:12Quote, we are aiming for further sales growth for Elden Ring Night Rain original and the original Elden Ring and its DLC, the company added. Quote, we have multiple game titles in the development pipeline from software is currently developing Elden right night Elden ring, night rain DLC plan for release in fiscal year, 2025 Elden ring Tardis edition planned for fiscal year, 2026 for Nintendo switch two and the dusk bloods planned for release in 2026.
59:39Tim Gettys:Damn. Dusk blood. They are busy. They're busy. They're busy boys. Um, super exciting. Yeah, I did. I was just going to ask really quick, your temperature on Elden ring, night rain. I know you were hot on it in the beginning of the year, fell off of it. Does that land in the top 10? Well, is it a contender? Is it a contender? Also, I just want to shout out. I think maybe we see whatever this is tomorrow. Oh, that's a good call. Think about it. Dust Bloods? No, no, no. Dust Bloods is Nintendo Switch exclusive. I was talking about the Night Rain DLC. Oh, that's a good idea. I feel like it's too early.
1:00:16I don't know. Really? For a DLC that's an announcement? I mean, at the end of the year. Dust Bloods is coming next year. you want to say if you're going to do DLC for this you got to start doing that now.
1:00:26Tim Gettys:I think the Ninja Turtles are in it. Yeah! In Night Raid? Yeah. That's a good call. You can only play with one of them though. You only got Leonardo. Only the sword guy. So I love Elden Ring Night Raid. It's a very special experience for me. I don't know if it's a contender just because of how jam-packed the whole year has been. Yeah. But that's a game that if the game wasn't if the year wasn't so jam-packed i would have been going back to it for all of the continuous updates they're doing i thought they did a fantastic job for bringing back fans to get back into this world because again it's so hard to keep people into a multiplayer game especially if it's not pvp like that that's such a crazy achievement that they that they have with night rain which is again them mentioning selling wildly past their expectations yeah to I have a game that you can beat and people will still go back to because they say, hey, we are dropping the Everdark version of this boss and it's harder.
1:01:28And it has new patterns now. It's not just bigger health bar. It is. It has a new phase. It is doing new things that are going to give you more challenge in addition to them adding just a completely new difficulty mode on top of all of that. Fantastic stuff that they've been doing. And I think like it helps that you have a very popular IP. It helps that you have a very popular universe that people want to exist in with their friends. But when you are able to bring people back to a multiplayer title without like cosmetic DLC and ways that really feel kind of cheap. Yeah. Those were the perfect things they could do to extend the life of Elden Ring Night Reign and kind of get people ready for whatever the DLC is going to be.
1:02:14That's when I will be fully back in. I don't think the Everdark bosses were enough to get me back in based on how stacked the rest of the year has been. If the year was kind of empty and dead, I would have gone back to a lot of those Everdark bosses. But what a great time. Like, awesome news that they, you know, that will be a massive big DLC announcement by the end of the fiscal year.
1:02:34Tim Gettys:Yeah, when Leonardo's in it. Yeah, Leonardo will be just swiping away. Donatello will be in it, but just an NPC that you talked to. He's just going to be in the... You can kill him, though. He's just going to be in the round table hold. Yeah. And then, yeah, super stoked to hear more about Dustbloods whenever that may be. Super, super fascinating stuff. You know, that's really, really massive for From Software to do, Raj. It is, man. But I'm so tired of all that big news. If I wanted something smaller, say the tiniest news I need to know about, where would I go? You go to our last story, the We News Channel, where we cover all the small news items you need to know about.
1:03:10Tim Gettys:I'll never memorize it. I always get nervous. I don't memorize anything from rock paper shotgun. The team behind blueprints puts out a, a call to get one of the puzzle games. There's a life saving kidney. Wow. This comes from a blue sky. That's BS. Tim. Did I get it backwards? Yeah, you can do it. That's blue sky, Tim. Over on blueprints game. Dot. B sky. Dot. Social. A plea for help. One of the lead play testers of blueprints. Iggy has a polycystic. kidney disease and has only a few months to find a living kidney donor. His story, contact, and donor information can all be found on igieland.org.
1:03:52Please help us in sharing his story and getting the word out. Everybody, go to this website, igieland.org. That's I-G-G-Y-L-A-N-D.org.
1:04:02Tim Gettys:I just wanted to come out. Yeah, do this. I went and did it. I signed up. Everybody should go sign up. You got two kidneys. You don't need them. Yeah. Did you hear about Jesse Eisenberg? Yeah. giving away. He's just giving away the same thing. Yeah, he's just like, why not? Like, whoa. Be good for content to be able to tell a story. Give away a kidney, you know? Is this you poke a mic to donate a kidney? Well, no, I just think it'd be a kind of funny podcast that would do like 18 ,000 views probably. Yeah, oh, that's big. That's big numbers. That's almost me getting slapped in numbers. Again, go to igieland.org.
1:04:36Our thoughts are with you, Iggy. We hope you get the help you need. From IGN, amid confirmation that GTA 6 really has been delayed again. We have word that Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 has become the fourth best-selling game of all time.
1:04:49Tim Gettys:Jesus. What? Of all time. Of all time? Of all time. What's number one? Wii Sports. Is it based off of units or dollar sales? Let's see. Because if it's units, I would guess Wii Sports. GTA 5. Or GTA 5. Minecraft, maybe? man i remember like gta 5 being in the top 10 sales for about eight years and minecraft was number one 350 million copies according to wikipedia and people are uh grand theft auto 5 220 million copies we sports 82.9 million i feel like it's a big asterisk there but whatever uh red dead redemption 2 79 and then of course right but right on its heels mario kart 8 deluxe can it beat it probably will dude that is unbelievable that red dead redemption 2 has sold more than Mario Kart 8 to life.
1:05:34Yeah. I can't believe that. Shout out Minecraft, though. Go. That is so wild. PUBG at number six? Yeah, dude. PUBG's huge. What the fuck? PUBG's fucking huge. Every time I open up SteamDB, it's always like number three. I was talking to my brother about that last week. It's always got like 300k people.
1:05:49Tim Gettys:Right now, 214 ,000 people are playing PUBG. It's always like CS2 and PUBG. Yeah. Q-Long Fall Flat is number 10? That's crazy. That's sick. What? Wow. So sick. very very wild uh from euro gamer sony has whipped up its list of the most downloaded playstation store titles for this month of october it whipped up its list just talked a lot sony has whipped up its list of the most downloaded playstation store titles for the month of october and it turns out japanese players are really digging the adventures of atsu in ghost of yote sucker punches epic samurai sequel is top of playstation 5 5's download list in Japan, but it regulated to second place in the West, where Battlefield 6 reigns supreme.
1:06:38Tim Gettys:Go see Yote. What? Go see Yote's gonna be at this state of play in Japan. Oh, sure. Yeah, for sure. God, I gotta get back to Yote. So good, man. So fucking good. I'm so mad at this one game that I had to play to review. Yeah. For taking me away from Yote. You gotta play Ivor Warriors, too. I don't know about that. Let's get to our Super Chats. More of the Super Chats throughout the rest of the day that you all have so generously sent to us. Kyle LaBeouf with$2 Super Chat says, Haha, Andy said doo-doo. Don't fucking talk about that. Bro, you said doo-doo. I wasn't going to make fun of you, but like, I'm glad that Kyle did.
1:07:16Flying Penguins with a$5 Super Chat says, Played Dispatch episodes 1 through 6 over the weekend. Fucking incredible. I love the way they do the title cards. The choices matter, and the cast is goaded. Dude, the cast is so good. I am just so, so impressed by by Alana Pierce, by Jacksepticeye, and by Moise Critical. Like, the fact that they don't do that for full time, I thought they would just be extras that pop up here and there. They are so impressive. Yeah, they cast very well. Yeah, they're so damn good. Hey, thanks for the super chat. I was going to say, can you do your... When I selected him, I went, hey, thanks for picking me to be on part of the team.
1:07:57I appreciate it. Thanks so much. Also, Jeffrey Wright, can we do... man jeffrey wright's so good i don't know if he'll get nominated for like best performance but he should get nominated for best performance i'm a big fucking bat i take i take shits the size of a fucking walmart thanks for the reset um let's get to uh zeke speak who with a two dollars who but that says will y 'all bring jake lucy and ralph on for showdown that'd be fun man i would love that.
1:08:28Tim Gettys:We gotta get them on some content for sure. That would be amazing. It would cost a lot to fly Ralph out here. Yeah, for sure. Still. Be very, very cool. Birthday tax from Jeremy, who says, Hope y 'all have a beautiful day, and thanks for what you do. You've been a big inspiration to me. Any tips for how someone could approach game reviews? Any tips?
1:08:53I would say like Like, if you do really cool, outstanding, funny shit on social media, whether it be TikTok or Reels or whatever, like, people will find you. People will see that. It has to be super unique and original. But, like, if you got away with words, if you have an originality to you, if you have a humor to you, people will find that shit and be into you. uh i shout out to critical error which is a podcast that i listen to and a lot of their podcasts is kind of dissecting uh video game media like coverage and reviews and how people write reviews and i was just listening to the most recent episode and uh one of the hosts was talking about uh if you're feeling like kind of stuck uh starting a review like a good way to start and to start getting the words out it's just like tell a story that happened like what is like The thing that pops in your head first when thinking about this game, tell me about that story, and then hopefully that gets the ball rolling and helping you figure out your feelings about a game and go there.
1:10:05But also listen to Critical Error if you're looking for good advice about that kind of stuff. They always have really good advice. Artie with a$5 super chat says, Paying my birthday tax. Thanks for all you do. Happy birthday to you, Artie. And happy birthday to Jeremy. Ava Nuts with a$5 super chat says, is if the mood was made of cheese, would you eat it? It's an old SNL throw. You're too young.
1:10:29Tim Gettys:Yeah, I don't know. Who did that one? Will Ferrell doing the old Cubs broadcast. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm blanking on his name. Hey! That's how he was. I don't know where he would just say the word hey. What's his name, Chad? You know who I'm talking about. If the mood was. It's Harry Carey. There you go. It's a simple question. Yeah, I know Harry Carey. Yeah, it's almost like a... What's a... Like Brühl? Steve Brühl, right? Oh, kind of. Yeah, I would say he kind of predated Steve Brühl. Yeah. Saul Herrera says, more info on the Babymetal collab with Resident Evil Anniversary. Also, more Stellar Blade 2 previews.
1:11:06I did not know that was happening.
1:11:07Tim Gettys:That's sick, though. I didn't even know that was happening either. And also, yeah, I could see something Stellar Blade 2 or something to maybe celebrate Lies of P and the success that they've had. Let's talk about another... I mean, what a... best DLC probably I've ever played lives with DLC and what an amazing year it's been that that came out this year and may make my top 10 who knows Zeke speak also with a$2 super chat says metaphor you Fantasia DLC before I walk bro where the fuck is any like we need an expansion we need something we need the port on switch to announce that out the state of play who cares what metaphor yeah I don't think we'll get DLC and I honestly like hurt my soul because here's the thing is like if they do dlc it'll be the like royal version where it's like hey we're gonna add story stuff but you have to play through the entire game again to get to it um and with atlas talking about them wanting to step away from that kind of stuff like i i'm cool with not getting metaphor updates but i do agree that should be on switch too shout out to persona three reload that uh just came to switch two and it's actually yeah really solid yeah runs pretty ball um icy shores said uh suda 51 is suda 51 damn i didn't know that that's in you're wrong kind of funny.com says you're wrong we did learn that a couple months ago but it feels it feels weird it's like when it's like oh technically it's jif but we all know it's i don't listen to some for one you know hey it was good that was awesome bro that's awesome uh mjf left the you're wrong uh and you should dunk your head in the toilet um kebabs with a you're wrong says missed we news the nintendo music app has added time matching playlists for new horizons and new leaf music these let you play hourly music in sync with your clock just like they do in the games that's fun well i gave my you know fucking this little baby ben took my my um alarmo so i don't you know did yeah he stole it from me he's not using it i gave it i gave it to him yeah but i I want it back now.
