3:43He does not care about you anymore. Exactly. After 10 o 'clock, you can't text a father. He's busy. Well, you guys called me after 10 o 'clock that one time. I told Roger, hang up the phone immediately. Once he's out of this newborn phase, you can send him those texts. It's also the thing of, remember, they are in the newborn nest. They're there for the two and a half, three months of maternity, paternity, just living there trying to figure out. They will be running weird hours. Because this was one of my most cherished memories, was waking up for the Ben feeding at 3.34 in the morning. And we'd go to Twitch and Fran would be streaming and we'd pop in and start talking to Chad as Jed, Ben, Ben in bed.

4:20I mean, they're going to be weird out there. So you should probably be streaming all night long in case Tim can come say hi. How are you feeling today? I'm feeling good. Yeah. Tired. I was tired. Yesterday, we gave it at our all yesterday. Xbox Direct. Put on. Had to go then into the in review. We had our weekly meeting. I got pulled into film another show, another show they needed me for, a hit show apparently that they always need me. So yeah, I went to bed at 9.30 Jen tried to have real conversations with me I gave her my best and I was like, I gotta go to bed I can't even, and she's like, I'm gonna put something on TV I'm going to bed, I ain't got time for this And it hurts, because I wanted to play games, I couldn't do it What'd you get into?

4:53Did you play some stuff? Did you stream some stuff? Took to the skies and some Ace Combat 7 Wanted to check out Ace Combat Got the flight stick all set up Had some computer issues Oh no, really? A computer issue? People were like, oh, you gotta go into your app data And delete this file I'm like, I don't know where that is. I just want it to work. Well, just go to open the Windows menu and go to run and put in D colon slash slash dot EXE hard drive format wipe. What's your computer username? I don't fucking know. I'm trying to play this game. Where's the steam machine? So I got it to work. It would be easy with the steam machine.

5:30So your boy got it to work and then I took to the skies, had some fun. Good. You know they got a story in that? Oh, yeah. I didn't know. they got a lot going on in that ace combat game they do have a lot going on in that ace combat game and we've got a lot going on on kind of funny games daily of course we run you through the nerdy news you need to know about each and every weekday if you're watching live right now be part of the show youtube.com slash kind of funny games with your super chats about the news or as many of you are doing the new dad tax for Tim we will get to all of those as we go of course we couldn't do this without our patreon producers on patreon.com slash kind of funny so thank you Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster, and Delaney the Psalm, Twining.

6:09For now, let's begin the show with what is and forever will be the Roper Report. Time for some new seven items on the Roper Report. A Baker's dozen! Number one, it has finally happened. Tim Geddes is a father. Also, that means Gia Geddes is the mother. Beautiful. Tim works here, so we feel like we've got to put him over. We go to Instagram, where it says, with a carousel of adorable photos that you should all go to, Instagram.com slash Tim Geddes. I'm going to pull up the actual BS post. That's Blue Sky Greg. Oh, he went to BS. Oh. I don't know. Go to Instagram. Go wherever you want to. Go to BS.

6:59That's Blue Sky. Give congratulations to Tim and Gia. The Instagram post, which is sure, I'm sure the BS post is the same. introducing Samira Mayel Geddes, Blueheart. Not only is Samira a name as beautiful as she is, it means, quote, entertaining companion or, quote, one who talks late into the night, end quote, which could not be more perfect for our child. Winky emoji. You can call her Sammy. You can call her Mira. You can call her SMG, which is good, which is good. Okay, okay. Then this is what I didn't expect. You can even call her Samus. You can call her many things. But you can no longer call anyone else the best baby blues in San Francisco.

7:41TM. It's true. A beaut. I know. I didn't even think about it. When I saw the pictures, I have the private feed. You know what I mean? I'm getting updates out there. I never even thought about the eyes. You know what I mean? And then you see her piercing blue eyes here. Sammy's got it. She's done it. I don't know how cool Greg is going to feel about now moving to number two. Tim moving to number three. Sometimes you get pushed on the charts. That's how the depth charts work out there. Mike we are all so happy for Tim and Gia Of course But of course we wouldn't be kind of funny If we didn't do what we do best Talk to me Bear throw the photo back up if you don't mind And then Snowbicle Michael On the kind of funny 20 point review scale What do you give this baby This beautiful baby right here Yeah Oversized sweatsuit Cute little toes Cute little fingers Baby blue beanie on I'm going 20 out of 20.

8:37Whoa! That's a 10 out of 10 baby. That's a masterpiece baby. It's a beautiful baby. Good job cooking that up, Gia. Great job out there. Oh, my gosh. So excited to meet Samus. What are you going with for the name? Samira, Sammy, Mira, SMG, Samus. I saw in the post Tim's friend and lifelong best friend, Curran, being like, I'm still going to call her Mayo. I'll probably be a Sammy guy. Yeah. You know, Coach Mike is a Sammy guy. Get out there, Sammy. Mira. I like SMG you know when Sammy takes on softball and we're really cooking at the plates SMG will be used to carry on that's the baseball call when we're really getting after it SMG will be used see I think for a long time Cool Greg's going to have the copyright like the naming rights on SMG because he's going to be SMG and do cool stuff but I can't even imagine I don't even know what Cool Greg will do but he'll do it so cool that I won't be able to do it Then I also was wondering Do we have the conversation?

9:40Cool Greg Are we calling him Uncle Greg now? Are we calling him Uncle Cool Greg? Or are we just leaving Cool Greg alone? You leave Cool Greg alone He doesn't like to be seen You should see the people across the street We love teasing Cool Greg He'll come in and the guys are always teasing Cool Greg Whenever I'm around I love it Oh he's just teasing Cool Greg Mike you're always on camera Tell Cool Greg to get on camera. Why is he not on camera? They found us. They've been scrolling up on Instagram. How long ago did they find us? Literally yesterday. The first time ever the people across the street have finally found us on Instagram.

10:15All right. So would you like to know a little bit of information about that? Lay it on me. So I run in arguably the greatest show on Kind of Funny, Kind of Feudy. And I'm always looking for cool prizes. Okay. So one day I was like, you know what? I'm going to shoot my shot. Walked over to the liquor store across the street. Good call. It was the old man working the nest, the older man. Yeah, Charlie, my man. You know all these people. I don't know any of them. I know them from the, hey, how you doing? And I buy stuff. They're excited to see me. And they know we're all connected. I walk in. He's on the phone.

10:43And I'm like, hey. He's talking bullshit with a friend. He's not like on the phone. I'm like, hey. He's like, hey, what's up? I'm like, I'm like, I got a weird one for you. Do you know what we do across the street? And he goes, no. And I was like, huh. I'm like, okay. So we do a bunch of like shows and stuff. He's like, okay. And I'm like, I'm doing this game show. I give up prizes. And I was wondering if I could get like a gift certificate. And he's like, this sounds really good. You got to come back and talk to the young guys. And I was like, cool. And I never went back. I'm like, that was my window.

11:11That was my one window. Okay. But when I was like, do you know what we do over there? I must have probably perked up. Never told him what. Got him going. But they found us. And they love it. They love teasing cool Greg. They should. And I love this baby. You're going to go with Samus? You think you'll ever throw Sam? No, I think Sammy, Sam, Sammy. That's where I'll be probably. you know what I mean Sam is I like but I think it's a stretch here's the hard thing about kids yeah that I've learned firsthand is you can't predict you cannot predict we were so sure when we named Ben Benjamin James BJ he's gonna be a BJ everyone's gonna call him BJ you know people in the comments initially and then it just never happened well invite because we all call you saw me like oh you're a Benny Benny a little Ben what up you know so it's just it never got to be maybe when he gets to so many nicknames come from your friends that's true when he gets into like real school you know he's in preschool now and kindergarten doesn't count when he gets to that like third fourth grade sports it's always sports like hey miller what are you gonna do over this blah blah that'll happen so even here yeah many of the jets is the chats calling out of course like you get in here it's like i think sammy makes a lot of sense can we talk about how perfect this name is for this family sure entertaining companion yes one who one who talks late into the night, which I heard here.

12:23She's already doing the two of the two of them in this baby. That is so perfect. Yeah. It's like it feels so Tim and Gia late night on the recliner couch in the theater watching some bad, you know, fun reality television show. Yeah, this baby is like the encapsulation of that. Yeah, I love it. I love it. We're interested to see what will happen with Sammy everybody. Congratulations, Tim and Gia. Let me get you a whole bunch of super chats in here. All right. Giovanni super chats and says, hashtag let Samira host. I like that a lot. Science dog official super chats and says, starting the Geddes college fund.

12:59Thank you for that. Kobe says, where's the Lincoln park? Tim Geddes cut. Congratulations to the Geddes. I assure you, Tim is working on that. The hot dad, dad walk trend. I assure you that must be happening. But again, talking to him the little bit, I've been able to a bit overwhelmed by the emotions, the life he now cares for, taking care of Gia and everything else happening. Don't worry about that. You'll be there. Robolese says, birthday tax. Happy birthday. I turned 40 tomorrow. Also, happy birthday to my best friend, Ben. Flying to Australia next week to celebrate with him. Congratulations to Tim and Gia.

13:35The best people are born in January. Samson XP comes through, again, confirming what we already knew. Can I get the one, Barrett? Tim PP, do work. Adam two times super chats or when it becomes a member super chat says congrats Tim and Gia wishing you I'm wishing your family a lifetime of happiness and health son of Gib 315 says new dad tax congrats Tim and Gia blue heart blue heart ooh kebabs if she likes Sonic can we call her Sega Sammy that's awesome yes you can I like that a lot I like that quite a bit good job there something else going on there. I'll come back to that one later. This is something else.

14:22Come back. And maybe I don't even understand the reference. I'm just looking for Tim and G once, you know, back to this failure to think. Congratulations, Tim and G, uh, Darth, Darth and Z low. Congratulations. Geddes. Uh, we love daddy, Tim. I think we're cool. Greg can remain cool Greg but we do need to start calling Tim Daddy Tim. Daddy Tim I like I like that. Collier Bell says damn my first super chat earlier and it had a typo fine here's more money. Yay baby Geddes. Thank you. We have so many coming in I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. Real Deal Jay O 'Neill says I won the baby pool but sending all the love.

15:03Welcome to our new kind of funny best friend. Tyler James Bay says give this money to Tim and Gia for the diaper fund. Huge congratulations from I'm Uzi-o, or maybe Uzi-o. I just found out my wife is pregnant, and I'm so happy, but also struggling with extreme anxiety about a miscarriage. Any advice? Well, great question. Of course, miscarriages happen all the time. The thing about it is you can't worry about that. You can take every precaution and still have that happen. This is a scary time. This is a scary moment. It's an exciting moment. It's a crazy time, but you need to understand that. Everybody's are different, and you have to roll with those punches.

15:39So the advice, as lame as it is, is try not to focus on it. I think, you know, firsthand, obviously, that's such a big part of when you get pregnant that first time around is then that, all right, cool, don't tell anybody until X date. I forget how many weeks. And I think it's the end of the first trimester, right? Because you want to see if it takes and works and does it. But the horrible news is that fear will be with you the entire way. It doesn't, as we've seen so many heartbreaking times before, anything can happen at any point in time. So you got to, I think right now is it's all new and it's a flood of information.

16:11That's definitely going to be on your mind. But as you keep going, it'll come down a little bit because you have to worry about a million other things. How are you going to pay for them? You're going to send them to college. Will I shoot them on the street? There's lots to worry about right now. You got to be real. You got to be real with them. You got to be so real. We're fucking detaining five-year-olds now. We're taking five-year-olds away. So that's where we're at right now. That's what they voted for. blessed with a curse says I was weeping seeing Tim's picture of him holding the baby and he's crying love all you guys congratulations to Gia she did the hard part lol 100 % true 100 % true of course we're giving Tim a lot of love here but Gia you're a trooper and we love you to death and yeah that photo of Tim holding and crying I'll never forget that photo that photo will always be in my mind now of Tim yeah I usually only see him cry like that with a studio launch you know what I mean it's upsetting to know he loves the baby as much as he loves the studio which is upsetting to me.

17:04There it is. What I love about it is Gia's foot. You follow the eye line and he's obviously staring at the woman he loves. He's a whole wide world now holding the little girl. I just love the chain. He was dripped out. He was dripped out for this. Tim knew this was going to be a photo op. He ain't going to fucking fuck around with this.

17:27We got one very similar. I'm sorry. Kyle LaBeouf. The photo of Tim in tears holding her brought me back. I wept holding each of my daughters for the first time. Congratulations, Tim Angia. Hashtag, let Samira host. You know what? This has gone on long enough. Okay. We're 16 minutes into a kind of funny world with Samira. Joey, hashtag let Samira host on a black shirt and white text right now. Get it up, Joey. She'll hear this in an hour. Get it up, Joey. Nayon Matrix says, congrats, Tim. Sammy, welcome Welcome to the January birthdays club. My 40th was Sunday, the 18th. Happy birthday. Yeah.

18:09Jack animation. M3F. Congrats to Tim and G. I'm so happy for them. We are to T low six, one, eight, zero. Congrats to Magia. I know they will both be great parents, little crying, but smiling emoji. Of course, John Van Pelt. Congrats to Magia. Any update on how Gia is? I thought we made it pretty clear at the start of the show. Gia means nothing to us now. Tim means nothing to us. It's a Samira world. What about the baby? From what I hear, Gia is doing good. I have not gotten an in-depth report. But Gia is in there, and she's a trooper, and we love you, Gia. Congratulations on this. Mr. Blue Sky, congrats, Tim and Gia.

18:44KJXE said, congrats, Father Tim. Father Tim is a good name, too. I don't like that. I like that, I think. And then IamKettner gets the final one for right now and says, Welcome to Kind of Funny, little Samira. My wife and I are expecting our first baby on March 6th. Heart, I'll cry too, Tim. Oh, you will cry many times. I cry all the time. about Ben. Sometimes he's just sleeping next to me and I cry thinking about whatever. You know what I mean? That's a beautiful thing. Congratulations, Tim. Congratulations, Gia. No matter what social media platform you're on, Kind of Funny Best Friends, go send some love.

19:12You can even do it in the comments of this episode if none of that's your style. I assure you, Tim will eventually have time to look at them. There was many a times baby sleep on my chest. You know what my favorite thing was? He's going to have time. These nights where I'm sleeping, little baby Ben in my chest, I fed him and he couldn't lay down when he first was around because then he'd puke. gotta keep them there I would sit there and you know what I started doing just the random hey remember that kid from the 4th grade what happened to him start google searching try to find that person go back and find you go places your mind goes places we got time let's get to number 2 on the Roper Report Nintendo has a birthday present for Samira surprise Super Mario Galaxy movie Nintendo Direct announced for this weekend This is Tom Phillips at IGN.com.

20:01Here's hoping you didn't have anything else planned for your weekend, as Nintendo has announced a surprise Super Mario Galaxy movie Nintendo Direct for this coming Sunday. A weekend Nintendo Direct is pretty much unheard of, but the company will hold one this Sunday, January 25th at 6 a.m. Pacific time to reveal new details of its upcoming animated movie sequel. Back in November, the movie was the focus of another dedicated Nintendo Direct that confirmed the film will introduce Rosalina to the big screen, voiced by Marvel star Brie Larson. Another new addition to the animated film will be Bowser Jr., voiced by Benny Safdie.

20:38Safdie? I don't know. I remember this being, it happened. Safdie from what I believe. And people were like, oh my God. I was like, I have no idea what the person is. And they're like, from Oppenheimer. And I was like, that doesn't narrow it down. There's like 900 white guys and just guys in this movie. Dude, the directors of Uncaught Joms. Uncaught Joms. I like that movie. I like that movie, but I don't know who's behind the scenes. Well, that also, and that makes it more confusing to me. Because behind the camera. Get behind the camera. Steven Spielberg ain't getting cast in this fucking movie.

21:05What's going on? You know what he looks like? She wouldn't shake his hand, right? It was that guy from Oppenheimer. Wouldn't shake his hand. He's the guy who I think came up with the even like crazier bomb idea at some point. And then he left the project. Everybody says, yeah, it's that dude. Okay. Yeah. So he sold her. He sold Oppenheimer out, and she wouldn't shake his hand. Gotcha. My favorite guy in Oppenheimer was Bongo's, but it doesn't matter. What do you think? A Sunday direct for this. Frankly, insulting to StarCon. What's that? You don't know about the Starfield fan convention tomorrow happening in a Zoom call that I RSVP'd to that I'm going to?

21:47You're goddamn right I am. 6 a.m. I won't be waking up for this on a Sunday morning. I will gladly roll out of bed at whatever time and see this and be excited to click on and give it a look. I mean, we've already got the official trailer. We know what happens in April. How much more do I need? Personally, for me, as the just like casual fan of it, nothing. I'm just excited for the movie. Can't wait to go. But yeah, what more do they really have to show me? More casting? They're going to explain the world to me? What do I need to know ahead of this that would really make a Nintendo Direct worthy?

22:21I don't know It's gotta be people, right? It's gotta be people We already had so many people announced These are jokes Jared Leto was not announced But we already got Brie Larson and more Jared Leto's Funky Kong I don't know This is one of those where Sometimes The old kind of funny fate wheel Intersects with the world fate wheel And you get the right lineup It's you and me talking about Starkfield But hey, here's movie news about Nintendo. And me and Michael are like, ooh, you know what I mean? Ooh, if I could tell you about Pokemon, I'm the Pokemon generation guy. Pokemon we'll talk about. Yeah, I don't.

22:59It's a weird thing, but it's like, it's got to be more casting. It's got to be a clip. But I don't understand why they're doing it now. Chad, do you know? Super Chad, if you know what your rumor would be. But I assume, yeah, it's just, here's more cast. Yeah. Here's a clip again. But why they're doing it right now, I don't know. am I okay Mike says just a hype direct tickets will probably be available to buy afterwards yeah I could see that okay I guess yeah we're two months out out of this what is the release date on it uh April I believe let me get you the official date it's my April 3rd 2026 is what it says here okay okay so yeah I mean I've never bought a movie ticket two months ahead of time I'm just saying my life.

23:45I'm not pre-ordering movie tickets. I got to just go when it's time for me. That's stupid. All right. I'm sure for some Superman shit, I bought it. Ghostbusters, whatever. We bought a whole theater for Ghostbusters. I understand pre-sales. Two months sounds early, but I don't even know when they pre-sell tickets. Is that when they pre-sell tickets? Yeah. Oh. It's too early for tickets, says N7. Okay. Now, of course, we have the new character coming in. We saw three Larson and Rosalina in the trailer. How much more of a deep dive do we have there? I like the super chat coming in. Maybe a Rosalina Giovanni says Rosalina focus new Rosalina game coming.

24:25Of course, if you were part of the Rostradamus, I predict the new year with his crazy pilled up predictions. I think him and bless did get on the train of like, what if he was to get her own game? Yeah. Do you announce that here too? Sunday 6am I'm trying to direct We also did just get the announcement of Rosalina joining the Mario Wonder characters yesterday Which you think you would Save if you're going to have Something so here's what I want to do is I want to go Back and I'm going to read the tweet itself Join us Sunday January 25th at 6am for the Nintendo Direct featuring An exclusive look at the Super Mario Galaxy movie Please note that no game information will be Included in the presentation because that was what they're Usually pretty good about setting expectations so no it's just gonna be the fucking movie at which point I don't know who the fuck's I mean Nintendo I know is Nintendo so they have the fans but like I'd be more excited if you're like hey come watch it in Animal Crossing you know what I mean we're gonna put up a fucking little projector in Town Square you can watch it there they said watch this in Fortnite I'd be there I'd be there 6am bells on we'll be streaming it right we'll wait and see yeah more Mario I'm with you I'm like I don't need more you just dropped the trailer I don't even care about who else is in it but whatever my dog Nick says maybe an attraction tie-in announcement maybe I guess yeah I guess some kind of touring thing maybe they'll show off the new popcorn buckets I don't fucking know what they're doing in the movie theater anymore no it'll be very basic it's going to be more Rosalina it'll probably be here's some worlds that you'll see here's some characters you've never heard about here's chad the piranha plant we're really excited mario one mario two they try to make you ever heard of the buzzy beetle or whatever fucking reading these children's books on mario i'm like don't even bother naming this guy what are we doing what are we doing i just snop on his fucking head and run away good luck everybody if you like mario we'll cover it on monday if it's even worth covering uh number three more importantly a fucking show for adults despite signs of a fallout season two viewership slump amazon says it's prime videos six biggest season of all time this is matt wales at euro gamer following its slam dunk first season amazon's tv adaptation of fallout has according to reports earlier this year faced a bit of a sophomore slump in terms of viewership but despite an apparent dip in popularity amazon has now revealed enough people are still tuning into the show that it's officially prime videos sixth biggest season of all time quote we are thrilled with the fallout season two reception from audiences and critics globally says peter friedlander amazon mgm studios head of global tv said to deadline uh after its first four weeks fallout season two already ranks as the sixth most watched season ever on prime video and is even higher on rotten tomatoes than season one more than half of the season's audience to date has come from outside the u.s and we're excited for even more viewers to discover the show as we continue to release new episodes over the weeks ahead.

27:36End quote. Being placed as Prime Video's sixth biggest season puts it behind the series' debut season, the first two seasons of Lord of the Rings, The Rings of Power, and Reacher's second and third seasons. And, if we're purely talking Prime Video's most successful returning seasons, Fallout Season 2 comes in at fourth place. Snow? Wow. Bicycle? Microsicle? you are watching fallout just like me are you up to date now up to date last of last night greg just for you oh well we talked about it yeah i know yesterday and it's like i gotta i gotta catch up yeah so i can come into the office to talk with greg a little yeah because i'm excited it's good we have been doing weekly catch-ups we've been kind of saving it for the end we're gonna do it you me and bless are getting together right after the season finale on that thursday i don't have many people to talk to sure about it right and i think you and bless are really the main ones in my life watching right like roger's not watching it so i can't talk about the ghoul you know what i mean you can't talk about the ghoul he doesn't know what the fuck you're talking about uh this is a big accolades yeah good for them yeah i mean when i think about the amazon prime tv you know experience it's like man that's a pretty wild to see that season two is doing so well there with the numbers yeah and fallout in general do you have you i i i feel it what they're talking about okay slump whatever i'm not trying to insult it but it doesn't have the pow impact of the first one the first one was that everyone was talking about it everybody was about it the games were spiking and i know they are still but i mean like even higher it seemed like fallout was suddenly ah we're all talking about it whereas this one it's kind of back to it's great it's maybe better than the first but it's a known quantity we know what's going on agreed of course i think it's all of that greg i think that first season will be really special to look back on in the moment that it was and how powerful it was.

29:21They did a really good job bringing the Fallout universe to life. Season 2 has a lot of positives going forward. It doesn't feel like the same pop, maybe because it's kind of a, we've been there, done that, and now we're going deeper into things. But there is something missing here in Season 2 to give it that ultimate wow factor like Season 1 had. So let's do it. Okay? We've talked about the show. I've promoted the fact that we're doing the Season 2 review when it's all said and done. When are we getting Fallout 3 remastered in the style of Oblivion. Maybe New Vegas, but I don't buy that. Fallout 3.

29:56This has got to be the biggest bag drop ever we've talked about before in gaming of like finding such a hit and missing it on not only season 1, but also season 2 somehow. Fallout 76 had the ghoul. Now, Fallout 76 had the ghoul, and people play Fallout 76, so not to knock that at all. You do get some Fallout experiences with that to tie into the show if you wanted but like the big like hey here's that remaster here's that fallout experience that like you and everyone should go enjoy we saw with the last of us right yeah the last of us tv show and the last of us game they did a great job even if you said we got too many remasters they did a good job of like hey you riding that high of the tv show we're remastering one and two we're putting it in a package we got this out there for you none of that right now with fallout they gotta to find a way now there's some sort of timer that people keep bringing up when is this timer go off greg because someone said it was in june and i was like i don't know if the season's gonna last till june no no buddy you know see the fallout countdown refers to a timer on the official amazon studios fallout explorer website that ends february 4th 2026 coinciding coinciding with the Fallout Season 2 finale on Prime.

31:10Now, if that is truly to be the one, we just had the dev direct where you and I are sitting there going, come on. I want this to happen. I want this to be real. This is where you show it. But no, right? Here's the thing. I will not believe it until I see it because I want this game so bad and all the love to the Oblivion remastered but that wasn't my game fallout 3 fucking is so the timer is weird and it seems like okay it's on the amazon page that doesn't really tie into our video game world yeah but this thought that somebody put in my head that now i keep saying which is just hopium is that this season ends with them saying we got to go to the capital wasteland which is where fall three is okay then that ends and whatever then this pops up and then you drop it here's why I struggle to believe it.

32:04Every time we're going to shadow drop this big thing, and we're going to put it out there and do the, it leaks. Something goes wrong. Somebody does the Peggy. Oblivion we knew about. Amazon uploads the wrong website. So I just, I have seen so many, I've seen this marketing scheme fail so many times that the fact that I don't already know that it's Fallout 3 remaster, I just don't believe it. I just don't believe it. And you're less than two to three weeks away from it. Yeah. Yeah. Would it be great? Yes. Yes, that would be a really fun way to hit it, right? It's like, oh, wow. Reality? Probably not, Greg.

32:36We might not get a Fallout remaster until season three comes out at this point. That's how it feels right there. But I do love the lineup of whoever thought of that fun idea of like, hey, we're going to the Capital Wasteland, Fallout 3 remaster. That's great, right? Well, again, it's like you want to believe, but then you talk to him. But remember, Todd Howard is so involved with the show. It's one of the reasons the show is so well is that they are talking to Bethesda. But as it's talking, then they're sharing assets and things like that. So it could be, especially, you know, you talk about the biggest backdrop of all time.

33:06I really think season one was. Season one, if they could have had a Fallout ready to go, gangbusters. And instead, that Fallout fandom of people wanting it were spread out among three, four, New Vegas, and 76. So yeah, those numbers were impressive, but they weren't brand new, cutting-edge game impressive that everybody bought and everybody wanted and went off and could have been something different. And so even season two with like a more of a, not lackluster, but less viewers, less mind share, whatever. I think you end on a big pop, whatever, but no, I want to believe, but I don't believe. Yeah.

33:39I don't see this happening until about season three. I look forward. We'll keep eyes on the timer. See what that is. Right. I don't believe it to be, Hey, we're dropping this at the end of the season because like, you're right. We would have heard a leak by now, a rumor. There would have been something that already probably solidified that, but yeah, it's too bad that we just don't have this big fallout experience going on right now. Cause we should shit sucks, but the show shows good show continues to be good. I mean, shout out to that team. They nailed it. Ella Pernell. You know what I mean?

34:10Fantastic. Fantastic out there. Walton Goggins. You kidding me right now? I mean, the set design, the costumes, fantastic. The story that they're taking us on right now in season two is fun. It is engaging. They're adding side characters that you want to know more about, that you're interested in, that you go, oh. You know, you do a little, no spoilers, but you go a little, oh. Oh, okay, I know that. Let's tug on that thread. I know that. Let's tug on that thread. I'd like a little more of that. I want to know more of this. 100%. So I like that. I don't, do you really believe that we would go, let's end season two, you and I will talk about it.

34:45Okay. Season two ends. Yeah. Are we really going to the capital wasteland? Why not? I mean it's hard to talk about it without spoiling stuff now yeah right but it's just like I guess are we following the games locations really that much right you're not going anywhere else because of the things that are happening and characters that are in the show right now okay I'm going to talk to Mike during this break remember everybody you could be a kind of funny member and be part of the shows and do other things patreon.com slash kind of funny youtube.com slash kind of funny games Apple, Spotify, Utah says 10 bucks you get everything we do each and every day ad free, you get your daily dose of me, Greg Miller, in a 15 to 20 minute series called Gregway each and every day and then of course, you get good karma for sporting 11 person, 11 year old small business, remember our fallout season 2 review will be on the 5th the day after, so you get to wake up do your day Wednesday, watch it Wednesday night come to us Thursday and watch with us the second half will be spoilers it'll be fun, but I digress, right now you're not using membership benefits.

Barry 328 says, Fallout TV is proof defiance was ahead of its time.

40:37Man. I don't know anything about defiance, so I'll just take your word for it. You don't remember the TV show that tied in with the video game and the video game that tied in with the TV show? I was playing. I was playing. Number four on the Roper Report, U.S. lawmakers asked the FTC to thoroughly review the$55 billion EA deal. This is Alex Forbes Calvin at gamesindustry.biz. And hey, we like Samir a lot, right? As a name. Alex Forbes, Calvin, that's the name of the show. That's the best name I've heard on the show so far. The United States Congressional Labor Caucus has written to the Federal Trade Commission to raise concerns about the potential impact of the proposed$55 billion acquisition of electronic arts led by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund, the PIF.

41:22in the letter as spotted by aftermath the group of u.s lawmakers asked that ftc chair andrew ferguson reveal the deal review the deal quote-unquote thoroughly the letter is signed by 46 house democrats and has the backing of the communication workers of america union which is the parent of most of the bargaining units currently operating in the u.s video games industry the caucus's objections stem from concerns regarding how this deal will affect workers especially as the deal is financed with at least$20 billion of debt, which creates strong incentives for the acquiring firms to pursue further cost-cutting measures, including layoffs, offshoring, restructuring, or studio closures.

42:04The group also points to EA cutting over 1 ,700 jobs in the United States alone since 2023. In addition, the Labor Caucus has concerns about the potential for EA's labor marketing dominance due to the business connections the publishing giant's buyers have, such as Silverlake's links to talent agency WME and sports giant TKO Group's holding and the PIF owning LIV Golf. Or did you say Live Golf? You do say Live Golf? The final concern raised by the group is citing the FTC's 2023 merger guidelines, which state that deals that impact workers hold down wages or enable, quote, dominant firms to reduce labor demand may may volatile violate antitrust laws end quote the caucus appears to believe that this would apply to ea's acquisition quote given the scale of this acquisition and ea's current dominance over the domestic video game labor market we believe careful scrutiny of this deal is essential the caucus wrote the letter concluded we respectfully urge the commission to conduct a thorough investigation into the labor market consequences of this proposed acquisition, including EA's existing wage-setting power, the likelihood of post-transaction layoffs, the degree of labor market concentration in relevant geographic and occupational markets, and the role of cross-ownership in shaping labor outcomes.

43:29Workers deserve a fair, competitive marketplace where their skills are valued." Yeah, Greg, I've been thinking about this one since yesterday when it was put in the slack and you know you're just your head gets in a tizzy thinking about the video game industry as a whole because there's a lot going on but yeah this is the right let's start ringing the bells let's start yelling hey let's kind of review this let's have a real long conversation about this please someone out there hear our cries like let's have a conversation and there's a good feeling like there won't be but yes exactly you want to I mean everything here is the right thing to do you got to say hey hold up let's have a conversation please look this over it doesn't feel right i mean we all kind of have the feeling of dread of like well that's not going to happen right but like you're doing the right thing here because it's going to go bad right i mean how often do i do you want to take the cork out of me of how fucked america is you know what i mean and like here we are of like yes i'm sure i'm sure that it doesn't even come in the article and this isn't bad reporting or whatever but i'm sure Silver Lake, which of course is Jared Kushner's deal, who is of course the son-in-law of Donald Trump.

44:39I'm sure that the US government's going to get right in the way of this and stop this from happening. They're going to put a kibosh on this and they take Kushner out of it fucking Saudi Arabia giving a fucking plane. It's like it's like that's what it is. This is what it is. You know what I mean? This is where we at. If the FTC under Lena Khan couldn't do jack shit about the Xbox Activision acquisition, nothing's going to happen with this. Unfortunately. Yeah, exactly. unfortunately and so it's like yeah we can sit here and wallow in it longer if we want to we wallow in it every i've already wallowed in fucking how bad it is all right now already at the top of the show so here we are but it's like this is what it is this is what it is it fucking sucks it fucking sucks you know what i mean like this is i would love to see this deal stop i would love to see ea not have the saudi money involved and have this yet again another video game washing part rid of it it's interesting when they the article calling out i mean it's reporting on the caucus's letter something i hadn't thought about right but uh labor market dominance due to the business connections the publishing giants have with silver lakes links to wme and sports giant tko holdings and of course and it's like yeah right of course as we get deeper and deeper into these giant things owning more and more things you get into like oh that is fascinating of like how quickly do you move from and this is such a small potatoes thing but stick with me right of like the pif's influence on tko right and then or tko being owned here them being in bed with them here so what happens when inevitably that contract with 2k comes up and they go you know what stop we're not gonna have 2k make wwe games anymore we'll have ea come over here and start doing this so it's just we're making money hand over fist for the same people that want to make the same money all the time and of course then it is back to the deal of like what they call out here right of like uh what is it 20 billion dollars yeah 20 billion dollars of debt on this this is a whole thing i went and uh learned about listening to npr after this before this whatever this of like how many people are in this uh kind of uh market moves these kind of giant business moves that are buying places but keeping the debt in the name of the other things so it's never on them so if they could flip the debt great and get out of it awesome and if the whole thing doesn't fucking work out well i got my payday and that thing's gone but I don't owe any money on it's like the whole fucking thing is rigged and I know I sound like a fucking angry old man screaming at the cloud but every day every day you open up Instagram Twitter maybe the newspaper maybe if you're one of those people and you just see that it's all true it's all fucked it's all a nightmare it's all a nightmare we live in this fucking nightmare late stage capitalism baby let's see what comes next well number five deadlock has received a major update now this is Connor McCarr over at Eurogamer A new major update for Deadlocks suddenly dropped, bringing six new characters that will join the roster gradually, a new game mode, and various quality of life tweaks to the popular MOBA.

47:35Perhaps the most notable addition in this update, dubbed Old God's New Blood, is a faster-paced game mode called Street Brawl. A quick 4v4 alternative, the shopping system is streamlined down to a random selection each round. In addition, resources are equalized across all players with farming disabled. The patrons have been given a proper redesign too, as do their minions, finally giving each team's end boss the makeover they've been sorely lacking. They are the Hidden King and the Arch Mother, two polar opposites with their own thematic arena. Then there's the six new characters. These are Silver, Rem, Graves, Apollo, Celeste, and Venator.

48:19two of them will release per week with the first two hitting the game starting the 26th of january players can vote to determine the release order with votes earned by players playing the game funnily enough the deadlock community anticipated some big something big uh would be dropping overnight thanks to the surge in activity at local pizza spots by the valve office oh yeah yeah yeah but it was deadlocked the whole time roger not half like much like the pentagon it seems when pizzas are rolling fresh and fast in your valve, something's afoot. That's sick. Mike, before I pass it to you, I just want you to know what a, everything I was reading there, I wasn't sure what the next word would be.

48:58I was just like, I have no vision for what this game is. You're so you don't know about the Archmother? Oh, it's a street brawl and a quick 4v4 alternative. The shopping system is streamlined down. I'm like, what is happening? What am I saying? Banana! Very exciting stuff here. I haven't played Deadlock in a while. I know me and the crew really love Deadlock. It was on one of my top tens, I think, either last year or the year before for early access. It was your number one that year, whatever year it was. I think it was 2020. Two years ago, probably. Three, 24. Yeah, how much I loved this MOBA, and I can't wait to play more of it.

49:32I will have to find a crew like Average John and more to play with me. This street brawl is perfect. Of course, if you play League of Legends, I don't know much about Dota, but I know League of Legends has alternate modes of like, hey do you want something simpler something faster maybe you can't give me 45 to an hour they have smaller modes for that so like it's great that they're working on that to just keep you engaged in the game and not do we got to play the whole three lane moba greg it's going to be an hour sure sure so that's great new characters always fantastic nice new redesign and cosmetic upgrade has been a big need for that as we know game isn't even officially out yet it's still this weird one of like we were joking a year ago two years it's like you had to get a special invite from somebody.

50:14We're not even at 1.0 yet. It's going to be early access for a while. But to see the upgrades, see new characters, everything looking really clean and nice. Like, yeah, I'm excited to jump back in. This is a really good game. If you're interested in MOBAs and you want to try a MOBA, maybe you love MOBAs, you're interested in them, or you're just like third-person shooters, this is a good blend of a third-person shooter meets a MOBA, and it's fun and exciting. Okay. Well, go check it out, everybody, and order a pizza. him number six this is required reading a controversial video game designer returns with a new game and more controversy this is jason schreier over at bloomberg i will start before i get into a few graphs here with the bs that's a blue sky samira that he put out new i spoke to jonathan blow about his ambitious new puzzle game and why it took 10 years to make then days after the announcement three designers came out denouncing blow for his views on trump parentheses pro vaccines parentheses anti and more.

51:10Here's the whole messy story. Here if you'll give me the stage is a snippet from the article last month the video game designer Jonathan Blow announced Order of the Sinking Star his first new game in 10 years. It's a massive intricate puzzle game running on a programming language that Blow himself wrote and the initial trailer left a lot of people impressed but Blow a pioneer of independent gaming who was featured in the popular documentary Indie game the movie is a controversial figure immediately after the game's announcement several of the designers whose work was used in order of the sinking star went on social media to express their distaste for blows political views quote his ad he's adversarial to people uh talking about privilege and representation is dismissive of diversity efforts has dabbled in covid trutherism and is pro maga wrote the puzzle designer alan hazelden uh who in 2016 licensed two of his games to Blow for this project.

52:07During the production of Order of the Sinking Star, Blow was active on X and Twitch, where he would stream development and answer questions from viewers, sometimes mirroring the positions of right-wing provocateurs. Quote, in this parentheses, quote, reading this, I knew you had pronouns in your bio before looking, he wrote to the one person on X. In 2017, he implied that women were biologically inclined to be less interested in programming than men. Last February, he called President Donald Trump, quote, the best president we have ever had in my entire life by far, end quote. And he has referred to COVID vaccines as an experimental treatment, end quote.

52:44After the announcement of Order of the Sinking Star, the three designers whose games were originally licensed for the project criticized Blow for these stances. And then Jason goes on at Bloomberg.com. Yeah, go read that one. Go read that one.

53:07the snow bike mic take go read it go read it get out there read that one uh yeah here's you know i read it um very interesting to learn more about people that you know you maybe you hear the name of maybe you're not super invested in like i want to get to know each and every game developer and sometimes you hear more about someone you're like wish i didn't hear that or thanks for telling me of course now i you know don't really align with this person yeah yep yep Yep. Yep. Here's my question. Okay. Lay it on me. No, no. I mean, we're in the same wheelhouse, but we're not having, you know, we keep talking about how horrible it is here and how fucked up it is here and how we can't do anything.

53:46But I keep saying, or seeing people say the, we can't vote our way out of this is in the chat here. And I've seen, I've heard it parroted many times. We can't vote our way out of this. We got to rise up as the workers here and we got to do a strike. Okay. Do you think, Snow Mike, Mike, do you think Barrett Courtney, we could start that? Could we start that organization? Because I feel like we got a platform. We start the strike against John Blow? No, no, no, no. Against America. I'm talking about like a general strike. Oh, okay. So the idea, Mike, so stick with me. Sorry, I didn't understand. And I haven't explained the concept.

54:20Stick with me. Stick with me. General strike would be currently the game is rigged. You and me probably got C's in fucking social studies because we didn't understand checks and balances. But it turns out they don't fucking exist. They don't fucking exist. There's no way to stop a president who's fucking crazy. So the argument has been made that the only way to get anything to change, to stop, to whatever, is a general labor strike, where we all say on February whatever, I'm not saying a day because maybe we start this, maybe we actually get this, February whatever, nobody work. Don't go to school.

54:53Don't go to work. Don't buy anything on Amazon. Stay home. Live off what you have in your house. Don't do it. So that for that day, the economy, hopefully, theoretically, craters, you know what I mean? They see that the people have power and the people don't want this anymore. It's not just the same fucking opinion polls I keep reading. I'm like, well, for the first time ever, it's the lowest fucking approval rating he's had. It's like, well, it's nothing's happening. We got him to say maybe he won't fucking send troops to Greenland. That's what we're able to get off. You know what I mean? But then I also look and I don't see anybody saying it.

55:23Like nobody's picking the date. Just kind of funny. a fucking video game talk show network? Do we have to pick the date? Is that what it's got to be? I mean, I've been here, Greg. It's just like I've never felt like the person to start that conversation. I'm the director of behind the scenes guy. To be clear, you still have to come to work. No, that's like the opposite point. Yeah, it's tough. And I think like I've thought about this a lot and I think it's the problem with how big this country is of like how spread out we are. and how isolating it can feel at times, especially outside of your community.

56:01And I think that's where you have to start is within your community to get us all united. There's one happening today. Everybody's saying Minnesota, awesome. Minnesota, obviously. Yeah, they're doing a general strike today to protest against ICE to hopefully actually send a message of like, get these fucking people out of here. Yeah, that is unfortunately, you know with the systems that uh you know they give to us uh to make us feel like we we have a weight in how everything runs in this country uh the the primary one being voting uh as we've seen time and time again uh not not a lot changes for the better for the the working class people and so yes it does get to a point where the the major thing we need to remind ourselves is that we have the true power when it comes to labor and making things run and so you don't need to ask me twice to sign up for this.

57:01I'm fucking out of here. Starting now. CNN, Minnesota economic blackout plan to protest ISIS, immigration crackdown, fuels tensions. Again, this would be my thing. I'm down to start the revolution for the record. You know what I mean? Also, do I need to run for president? I thought about it. Let me know. I'm down to start the revolution. I'm down to pick the date, but here's the fucking thing. I need the buy-in from all of you in the chat is that, you know, you have to do. You have to tell your fucking family. You have to tell your friends. You have to Facebook about it. You got to, you got to say, cause if it's just us, if kind of funny blacks out and you don't go to work, that's great.

57:33But nobody knows you, you gotta, you gotta push. You gotta push. You gotta push. You gotta push. You gotta push. You gotta push. You gotta push. We'll think about it. We're not making a plan right now where this is where we're going to, you know, do what days look good. What do we want to do? How much time do you need to organize the country? I don't know that answer, but we'll figure this out. Mike. Yeah, Greg. Kind of funny leading the new American Revolution would be big news, but if I wanted something small, like say the tiniest news in video games I need to know about, where would I go? Be real big news.

58:01You go to our last story, the We News channel, where we'd cover all the small news items you need to know about.

58:11Number seven, the We News. What a time capsule episode. For like, probably like what, 18, 20 years from now. Look back. Samira is around one of the drums they all gather around for fire now that we have nothing. Someone passes her a USB that they're able to load on to some thing. They're running off solar power. Did you hear your Uncle Greg stood up once? No, it'll be like, she'll be like, oh, my dad used to tell me stories about this fat guy. He was dragged out of the studio live on air once and beaten to death by the Gestapo. You know what I mean? Fuck. I do it. number seven Ark Raiders has a new roadmap it's been revealed awesome have you looked at this yet?

58:51I'm looking at it right now I'm on the BS that's Blue Sky Samara January Headwinds you get the new matchmaking option for level 40 plus new minor map condition and player project has that already happened? Headwinds? I don't know I haven't played in a while February you'll get Shrouded Sky a new map condition a new Ark Threat player project Raider deck map update and an expedition window March comes Flashpoint. New map condition, new arc threat, player project, and scrappy update. Nice. Nice. April, Riven Tides. New map, new large arc, new map condition, and an expedition window. Awesome to see this being supported.

59:27Great job from that team, from Embark. They are continuing to keep it going, continuing to cook, and give the players more and more content. Seems like everybody's very happy, except for the hackers and the cheaters in there. That is currently the biggest problem that I hear about most of the time with Arc Raiders. Yeah. But most people are happy and still having a really good time with it. Okay. Great. Eversiege Untold Ages has been delayed till March 26th. Vampire Crawlers, from our friends at Punkle, has a demo launching February 23rd on Xbox and PC. That's a big moment for me. I'm very excited.

1:00:00I love Vampire Survivors. I know you are. This is a deck builder. Okay, cool. Are you calling your shot here February 23rd? February 23rd for a demo. Yeah. Which I love. get it out there in front of the people let's hear the feedback then we come back with the launch because for me your boy Snowbike Mike who drafted a fantasy critic I need this to be 87 or above I need this to absolutely be banging right I'm not even a card guy but this looks dope send out the demo let people talk about it let people get interested and then yeah we come back out usually the demo's out today oh there'll be a demo next week there's gonna be a demo one month from today do I need to clear my schedule that much punkle You probably should.

1:00:41Okay. And then Future Games Show Spring Showcase returns March 12th, everybody. Nice. And that's it for the Wii news. Of course, we have a good... No, you're wrong. Sorry, Jeppo. I'm not reading that. Instead, we have a bunch of Super Chat still. So let's dive in before we get into your hot takes over on the Gamescast about Xbox's presentation.

1:01:05Wade's 0000. Dear Greg, while you guys were on break I watched your GTA clone draft So per your recommendation, I got really high With my two friends and played through Vin Diesel Wheelman Have a good Friday That's sick I love it, but I want to know Wade 00 What did you think? Did it rock? How was it? Let me know Kyle LaBeouf says, download more RAM, Mike That's a computer joke For me fucking up with that computer I don't know Make it easier well it's expensive now for ram to uh because of ai yeah because once we stop the nazi invasion the robots will be ready to rise up and kill us and also when we stop the robot uh rising uh rising up there there will be barely a planet to live on because we use all of our resources to power there's always gonna be more water don't you know my favorite is i'll be watching some bad stuff you know that's why i had to delete tiktok because it was getting just a bunch of AI slop where I was like, this is really like, like, hey, as a culture, we got to pick ourselves up here because it's some embarrassing.

1:02:11Yeah, sure. Sure. But my favorite is like, you see the AI slop and someone's right. It's like, this was a lot of water to make this trash. Yeah. And they're like, no, water's reusable. And I'm like, we're doing it. There we go. There we go. Together, chat. Oh, Jess Parr says birthday tax, 51 years old, 44 of them gaming. Happy birthday. Nice. Lost. it's been lost aka so9GM the dumbest part about the the dumbest part about the BS that asshole Jonathan Blow said is that a woman Grace Hopper literally invented programming yes that is a stupid take yeah that was an insane take that was crazy Zeke Speaks says Minnesota is doing a labor strike today many groups are pro general strike but it is parentheses understandably hard to coordinate I too am waiting on a date yeah I'm always fascinated how do you coordinate that stuff I mean, we would start it here, and then it's grassroots.

1:07:54Everybody's got to do it. We got to get on the news saying we're starting it. Then everybody's got to share it. I'll come back to Twitter, and that's what I'll say.
