Key claims
- Ubisoft Milan pitched Nintendo an original Zelda spinoff; Nintendo reportedly asked to swap the protagonist for Ganondorf. The project (internal name “Goliath”) was rejected after a prototype and later conversations broke down.
- Xbox CEO Matthew Ball says GTA 6 pre-orders match Xbox’s console-market share; Tom Warren (The Verge) reported pre-orders skew toward PS5.
- Bungie says Marathon underperformed and is shifting toward more PvE/lore/world content beyond extraction PvPvE.
Notable examples
- Zelda pitch details: unknown protagonist → Ganondorf; “aim for the entire universe” quote; prototype rejected late 2023.
- Marathon updates: new zone, connected PvE/PvP/PvPvE, dedicated PvE mode, experimental team deathmatch; major changes targeted around March.

2:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yo, what's up? Welcome to Kind of Funny Games Daily for Friday, September 25th, 2026. I'm your host, Blessing, Addy O.A. Jr. Joining me is the master of hype, Snowbike Mike. I see what you did there during that cold open. Come on. I see what you did. You didn't even know it. That was good. Thank you. That was poetry in motion. Thank you. Good morning. Happy Friday, big dog. Happy Friday, Mike. You made it through the week. How are you feeling? I'm feeling good. It's a bit of a tired morning. I missed going to the gym this morning. Okay. It was a slower start. Was it a late night? It was a late night.
3:24Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I was in Oakland. You already know. You went Chance the Rapper and then back to Oakland again? Back to Oakland again. Man, dude, two big nights for you. I mean, it's been a big week. Weekend starting on Wednesday this week for you. I feel like every day, because Wednesday I had volleyball. I forget what I did Monday. Every day this week has been a new thing. Okay. And so I'm excited tonight to just go home and play video games. Oh. Very excited for that. What do you got going on this weekend? Video games. Come on. Video games, big dog. I got wow forever beta that I've been playing. Of course we got redacted.
3:58We got some review games I'm playing. I'm jumping into Alan wake too. We got control resident out. Now we got fire emblem fortunes. We've out right now. We got silent hill townfall busy, busy, too many games, too many video games, juggle video
4:11Blessing Adeoye Jr.:games. It's tough. You know, what a hard life we live. Get to play, play everything under the sun. Hey Mike, what are you doing? I'm not, I'm not touching grass or breathing fresh air at all. Well, I'm excited to play video games all throughout the year because it's all going to culminate in Zelda Ocarina and then GTA six. And for some of us, the Witcher three remaster is coming right before both those things. And while forever, forget about that. Are you tired? How do you keep up? How do you keep the energy? Cause I wonder this, I just wonder this about you. That's it. When you play video games, you're in, I'm in first gear.
4:44Yeah. When we used to play soccer blast, that's what I'd kick it up into third gear. You know, that's, and I haven't played soccer in a long time. And you're never, you're never like, you're never like, this is too many video games. It's too much. No, never, man. No, no, no. I'm always like, what's new? What's next? What will I like? I haven't even played pro jank footy. And I just want to play pro jank footy. That was a surprising Tim Getty's one that he was excited for. It's on my steam account, downloaded and ready. And I haven't clicked play, play yet. The problem, the problem for me is that when I want to take a break from video games, you
5:15Blessing Adeoye Jr.:know what I do? I play other video games. I get the AYN Thor. I install things to Mike allegedly allegedly I might have gone back and found the name of demo discs that I owned as a kid I found a ps1 demo disc you want to talk about pro jank footy I found the ps1 demo disc of PlayStation Underground that had NFL blitz on it you know you could play like a quarter of NFL really it was like half a quarter that's cool of NFL blitz but if you won the demo it would give you a cheat code that you can use again to get like big head mode or whatever when you replay the demo. NFL Blitz is an all-timer. So fun.
5:50Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It's an all-time video game. Would you believe I've only played that demo of NFL Blitz? I never played a full thing, but I played that demo a billion times. Once you play that, you've played it all. You've played it. It's not like the game changes. Yeah, but it has that. It's got Brave Fancy Musashi. Love that game. It has, I think, a game called Armageddon that I found very fun for PS1, where it's kind of like just a twin-stick shooter situation. Tomb Raider 3. i want to say i want to say it was team radio 3 i could check right now that's some old school demo discs that's sick it's like weirdly demo discs i'm not even weirdly i think this is true for so many of us demo discs made so much of my gaming um i guess come up when i was young okay when i couldn't afford games because i was a kid with no income and my parents didn't want to buy me games they didn't want to waste money on video games when i would go to a friend's house and they're like hey i don't i will what the ps1 demo disc i'm talking about came from my next door neighbor freddie who he was my friend with an xbox who i'd go over to his house all the time to play jets at radio future and blinks of time sweeper one one of the times i went over there his dad was just like hey i have this we don't have a ps1 so i heard you have a ps2 so you can play this on that and i was like yeah i'll take that and that opened up a world for me of like seven different games that i can just play all the time yeah and then like i got there was another demo disc that had crash bash and spyro 3 i would play all the time and then there was a ps2 demo disc that had brave fencer musashi 2 demo along with death by degrees starring one of the tekin characters i love that you remember all these games oh my god they were important then they were important and it was the only access i got to weird games other than that i was just playing regular shit for me it wasn't the demo disc i had a couple of them and i remember those fondly like you're bringing up but for me it was the pc games that came on the front of honey nut cheerio boxes and Chex Mix boxes.
7:41Those were like the games where it's like, no one's buying me a game. All of a sudden I have Roller Coaster Tycoon because it came on the box of a Honey Nut Cheerios.
7:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I think there's something special about playing a demo and fantasizing about owning the full game. Wow. Like you keep dipping back into the same vertical slice and it's like, wow, it must be neat to just be able to play the rest of this video game. I played so much of the first level of Area 51 for PlayStation 2, Mike. Are demos back? Yes, but I don't think they're as special as they used to be. what do you think? I mean, like, I appreciate a really good demo. And I think we're like tipping towards having demos fully back. I think a lot of teams have find a way to put their demos out. I hope they see success because for me as a gamer, I really enjoyed the steam next fest demos, most importantly, like big PlayStation games that are coming out.
8:27I've noticed had some demos like Neo, right? Where it's like, oh yeah, like this is a game that's not on my radar or definitely a game. That's not my cup of tea, but I would love a good demo to give it a try and play it. right so like i hope demos we're like we're on the rise but i want them to peak again i think
8:42Blessing Adeoye Jr.:demos as a kid were special because they were free or free ways to like get into these games that you would never own and so i think as an adult demos are less exciting because we have disposable income and then also there's free to play games there's so many ways for us to play video games so i really want to play it we can play it but demos being a thing where it's like oh i can just download this and play this game that i'm excited for or that i've heard about and just continue playing it over and over again? What if I gave you all the money in the world and then your new job became Blessings Demo Discs, where you would go around the world talking with different developers and every month or every two months, you would select four games to go on your demo disc and send it out to the world.
9:19Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I love that. If this company ever goes down, remind me of that idea. Because that might be my next venture. But enough about that, Mike. Remember, if you're watching live, you can be a part of the show. I still be chatting in over on YouTube.com slash Confluent Games. Let me know about your demo disc memories. We could do this without our producers over on patreon.com slash kind of funny so thank you to omega buster delaney the psalm twining and michael pesavento for now let's begin with what is and forever will be the roper report
9:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:it's time for some news we have five stories today uh baker's dozen starting with our number one ubisoft and nintendo's partnership ended with a canceled Zelda title. This is a report from Tom Henderson at Insider Gaming. Get ready for story time right now. Everybody lock in for this story time. This is a really fun one. Ubisoft Milan once pitched Nintendo an original Zelda spinoff starring a previously unknown protagonist, according to sources familiar with the project. Nintendo liked the concept, but asked Ubisoft to replace the character with one of the most recognizable villains in video game history, Ganondorf.
10:28Blessing Adeoye Jr.:In the months after leaving Ubisoft Milan, the Italian gaming publication Multiplayer.it asked Gianmarco Zana, a near 25-year Ubisoft veteran, why he, David Solliani, and several colleagues had decided to leave the company and form their own studio day for night. Zana made it clear it wasn't because of a falling out with Ubisoft. If circumstances had been different, Zana suggested, they might in fact still be at Ubisoft today. Instead, Zana suggested that the fate of one project, led by Soliani himself, drove their decision to leave. The entire Milan team rallied behind it, and people familiar with its development believed it could have elevated Ubisoft Milan to one of Ubisoft's flagship studios.
11:16Blessing Adeoye Jr.:It was a project that the entire team was confident in, and a project so ambitious that, in Zana's own words from that interview, quote david didn't want to aim for the sun he wanted to aim for the entire universe he wanted to create a new big bang in the video game universe pause and quote that shit's lit okay that doesn't get you motivated and excited like hell yeah man let's do this i'm up right now it's late 2022 and mario and rabbit sparks of hope has just been released to generally favorable reviews on metacritic sales aren't the best but both ubisoft and nintendo were pleased with the game's reception and long-term sales potential.
11:55Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Discussions between Nintendo and Ubisoft Milan about their next collaboration began soon after, according to sources familiar with the discussions. This time, however, Milan's ambitions extended beyond just a third Mario plus Rabbids game. Fast forward a few months, Soliani and a small team worked tirelessly on the new idea throughout the winter and in early 2023. Ubisoft Milan finally had what they deemed the perfect pitch. Internally, the project was known as Goliath, a name that reflected the scale of what Ubisoft Milan aimed to develop, a new game set in the world of The Legend of Zelda. Instead of a sequel or prequel, the game was said to be a new spinoff in the Zelda universe, with the player controlling a new, never-before-seen protagonist.
12:39Blessing Adeoye Jr.:That later changed during the concept phase to have the player control Ganondorf, the archenemy of Link in Zelda. Ubisoft Milan had until around the end of 2023 to deliver a compelling prototype, sources said, which was a deadline set to get the game past its next green light. In late 2023, however, Nintendo rejected the prototype, according to sources familiar with the project, but the reasons for the decision remain unclear. According to two developers privy to high-level talks after Goliath's cancellation, A proposal emerged that Milan begin developing a different Nintendo IP. Internal rumors at the studio suggested that games including Star Fox or even another game set in the Mario universe were in the running.
13:23Blessing Adeoye Jr.:But between late 2023 and early 2024, conversations between Nintendo and Ubisoft began to break down. Following the project's cancellation, the Milan team was split up and put into different projects across Ubisoft's portfolio, with other developers in the team being put on availability, a term used for developers who have no assigned project. Some developers in higher up positions were assigned to Beyond Good and Evil 2, a project that has seen countless reboots and issues in its nearly 20 year development. Wow. Very fascinating stuff. What a fun little story time moment right there. What could have been the dream.
13:58An exciting one. I love that it's like we want to do an unknown protagonist. Hey, actually, how about you take one of our most recognizable and infamous characters ever?
14:07Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Yeah. All right. i want to make a mario game but i want to i want it to star just a guy named fred i just want to do a goomba yeah no you get luigi yeah i'm like i'm so fat i wish i i wish that one day maybe we can get the story time from soliani or somebody who's in the know to tell us exactly what the pitch was yeah because i'm curious on so many things one why a new protagonist why are you creating a new character in this world for a game to center around and with that being the case what about it makes it Zelda. That's my first question. What are the Zelda elements, if not the characters of Zelda?
14:41Two, what was
14:43Blessing Adeoye Jr.:the disconnect between what Ubisoft had pitched, Ubisoft Milan, and what Nintendo wasn't feeling? Where did Nintendo go? I actually know. Thirdly, you want to make a game that shatters the universe. You want to make a game that you're calling Project Goliath because of the magnitude of this thing. Just tell me, I want to know what your ambitions were, because I love that. I love that coming from the Mario plus rabbits kingdom. I love that. That is right. That's creative. It's right there. Right. I want to be the very best. I want to strive to put out my best. And then you have people who usually bring you back down to earth a little bit and say, okay, I love the scope.
15:23I love the idea. Let's, let's crank it down about 25%. But that is a fun one. And yeah, bless. I'll hold you to it. You should figure out a way to get an interview one day about this. Cause I mean, I didn't say I was the one.
15:34Blessing Adeoye Jr.:You're the one. I think that's, that's above my pay grade. That might be Shire or somebody who's in the know. Yeah. I mean, exciting stuff. Yeah. It's awesome to see when we get games outside of just the, it's the Nintendo world, but outside of Nintendo themselves, right? Mario plus Rabbids is always going to be a special one to me. I love that. I think of all the Mario and Sonic Olympic games that we laugh at and have fun with where you just kind of step out of just the Nintendo developed games, but there's still Nintendo. You don't get those often. So that's pretty cool what do you think if you're if we're if we're hanging on speculation station because this is one of those stories that where you can only speculate and imagine things and try to like put pieces together oh we've arrived speculation station like what is a ubisoft's zelda game mike and also is that the missing is that one of the missing pieces i guess to the ubisoft story of man what happened what happened to you what could have been what could have been i would make it Fable 2-esque as Ganondorf.
16:34You're a young Ganondorf. And this is when you turn evil. So you're booting chickens all around the farm. You're going to different places. It's starting to be evil. Some small hijinks. And then eventually you murder somebody at the end. Grace. True calamity.
16:48Blessing Adeoye Jr.:This is your Star Wars Episode 3 situation. Yeah, he takes the turn. A real dark game, though. Real dark game. Real dark game. It's like a fail. It's pretty funny when you read this. Like, my mind goes to gods and monsters yeah which was turned into immortals phoenix rising it's like it's almost as if like that is what became of this you know but i think it happened beforehand but oh it's one of those like when i read that i was like oh that's just gods and monster or immortals phoenix rising isn't it that's the thing is when you're talking about this being a bigger thing if you want to i forget the exact words but it being a universe shattering game i love is how i'm the perfect like is and i'm i'm saying this as somebody who breath of the wild is probably my favorite game ever are we not then talking about breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom like that level of zelda game and does nintendo look at that and go yeah that's when they're like no no no like we already guys we do that ourselves like you look at what we did with mario we got our mainline marios and other marios and we make all those you guys make a strategy mario make something that's so much of a side project that it's like oh cool that's additive to the overall maybe that's why the pitch wasn't accepted right because then all of a sudden you tell me well you got to have ganondorf in this it's like oh well that changes the plans right of like i had a different vision where it may be a breath of the wild with some side character we only know just a little bit of or never have met before and it's like well now it's got to be ganondorf and plans just completely change i'll watch for me in chat says they don't want fucking ubisoft to big time them which i think is hilarious but i also viewed as a thing of what if you what if as ubisoft milan you are pitching an open world zelda game like you're pitching maybe you're pitching a ubisoft open world game i mean i feel like our minds all go there right like that's the easy answer of like well they're clearly just pitching a ubisoft open world and if i'm nintendo i'm going no like not in the because i think i think that game could be good i think a ganondorf ubisoft checklisty open world game like not my personal cup of tea but i think that could be good and i think that could do well but i also think that nintendo has established such an identity for what open world zelda games are like that i could easily see nintendo being like no that veers too much into what we want people to think of when they think of this type of explorative zelda game open air you know go wherever you want that's our mainline stuff we don't want this to get in the way of that what could have been blessed my mind races with all the ideas of what you would try to do what it would look like now it we because we don't really have a a suggestion of genre here at all right so in the way in which mario plus rabbits was a tactical strategy take on mario yeah our could this have been a different weird take on zelda that still could fit the bill of the universe you go with a crazy turn-based game all of a sudden maybe i i don't know like My mind goes to maybe Star Wars Force Unleashed with that one with Starkiller.
19:49Oh, my God. Ganondorf with more of a linear story, kind of like early God of War days and having that, right? Like, I kind of need Ganondorf to be big and brooding, slashing around enemies. Who are those enemies? Is he raising his own army of darkness? What's the goal here? Because I want it to be dark. I want Ganondorf to seem imposing and evil, and I want him to be bad. I don't want, I don't like when we tiptoe around these evil characters and it's like, well, he's still like the good guy. And it's like, no, I don't want Ganondorf to be the good guy. I want him to be the bad guy.
20:21Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Which Ganondorf are we putting in this? Is it going to be the Tears of the Kingdom, Breath of the Wall, Ganondorf? I don't know that Ganondorf yet. One day I'll meet him. One day you'll meet him. Or, because my thing is. Man, there's some cool Ganondorf's. There are some cool Ganondorf's. I mean, the Ocarina of Ganondorf is so iconic. I mean, he's kind of the one you go to, right? But at the same time, I really like Twilight Princess. i like i like those ganondors so it's a pretty badass my thing though is this started off as an original character so i wonder if if i'm going that route on what this could be then i start to think okay then what makes it zelda and my mind immediately jumps to you well you put it in one of the existing zelda universes because i think it'd be tough to do we're doing a new zelda timeline reincarnation whatever and we're also doing a new character i think that gets confusing to the audience so then i start to think like what zelda universe do you create an original character to orient a game around and i think if you were to do another like ocarina majora like a third one of those but it's modern and it follows a new character kind of thing i think that could be at the very least interesting i like that i think that could be a i think it'd be a fun world to return to especially right now where we're getting the zelda ocarina remake in your mind character is it just some random goron i don't think so i mean maybe like i like now i'm jumping around of like would it be a rito over there would it be one of zora yeah like what what is my character now is it just another elf kid is it just another human i mean if you want to go this fantastic these are excellent questions mike you're actually you're asking the right question who is my character now because because the goron can roll around you can make him roll and kind of push people over yeah you could do a tanky character yeah you could do a flight-based game with the rito character oh my he's flying he'd be kid icarus kid icarus type game icarus and then yeah what if you did a zora game that was very water kingdom you are swimming around doing all that type of shit it's like where do you go nintendo start the conversation back up you don't even have to do it with ubisoft uh they have a new team john marco So, Soliani, day for night is their new studio.
22:32Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Go talk to them. See what they got, because now I'm excited. I mean, what a fun little story time. I love those. I like those. Like you said, Buzz, maybe one day we'll get an interview with more details on that, on what happened there. I love that. What was the pitch? And why would they say no? Why did it fall apart? I could easily see Nintendo saying no to modern-day Ubisoft for many reasons. Yeah, but they kicked ass with Mario Plus Rabbids. They did. They kicked ass with those two games. those games were contained yeah those games were those games are like you look at that and it's like oh yeah have fun yeah yeah make your tactical strategy game now you're pitching this project goliath yeah and you're saying it's going to tear apart the universe we're gonna shoot for the stars y 'all we're not we're gonna thanos snap the universe with this one nintendo's like whoa i got kids like be careful uh some super chats for you the portland kevin writes in and says mike you should be ganondorf for halloween oh thank you okay yeah yeah uh Probably tingle again for me, so we'll see what happens.
23:28Blessing Adeoye Jr.:A science dog official says exploring Ganondorf's Gerudo origins could be pretty lit. That's kind of what you're talking about. Oh, man, to be out in the Gerudo deserts with all the Gerudo lady assassins would be wild. Dude, I— Because that's a crazy origin story, right? There's only, like, one man. One man, yeah. What, 200 years or something like that? That's some crazy, so it's like, yeah, that's a wild story. Or you're a badass lady Gerudo assassin. Mm-hmm. I mean, literally, you could do the thing where most of the game you don't know that you're Ganondorf. even though people we would know that is ganondorf obviously it's one man every few hundred years but like he's not called that right he has some other name yeah and you're playing and you don't become ganondorf until the very end of the game in a very fucked up cut scene that'd be crazy yeah excited now for a game that doesn't exist for a game that barely got started um all right let's we had some off-topic super chats i'll bring in real quick aaron lime says didn't see it reported on because the speculation but people are thinking konami teased a 3d castlevania collection in their 40th anniversary video town falls great looking forward to belmont's curse nice i mean we do have i think a we news item that's related to this and so uh put a pin in this and let's talk about that when we get there mike um kabob says spyro 3 and crash bash had demos for each other via a cheat code insane trilogy had a similar code for spyro reignited trailer via a patch that's really you know it all that's so cool and then d davis 504 says birthday attacks turning 37 tomorrow thank you kft for the laughs i remember having that 2004 playstation underground demo disc with a beautiful joe 2 demo that crashed and wiped my 100 final fantasy 10 2 save still hurts solid see that's another story time hurts where how how often have you had a game save wiped on accident not many i would love to hear stories of it because i don't think i i don't really i didn't mess around and i didn't have giant save files like that like I wasn't playing Final Fantasy X 2 and it wasn't like my pride and joy.
25:27I was playing smaller games, as you know. NFL Street, Def Jam, right? There was no one saying, oh shit, I lost it all.
25:34Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I remember it happening exactly three times. One of the times I was a kid, I didn't know how deleting saves worked until I was playing Mario 64 and I accidentally cleared my data and I got over it. It's Mario 64. The second one had a cousin over, a younger cousin, who came through and deleted my super smash bros 64 save data and so just deleted all my my characters well my my unlockable characters which there's only four in that game not the biggest deal but as a young kid i was very upset by it having to re-unlock those characters the third one completely my fault third one playstation 2 era ratchet and clank you ever have one of those crt tvs that take a second to turn on like you push the button and you're waiting like 10 seconds for this thing to finally turn on.
26:19Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And so what I would do whenever I wanted to play Ratchet and Clank, I would turn on the PS2. I would hit the button on my TV, but I know how to load the save while the TV's off. And so I'd wait a second, hit XX, and then the save would be loaded. So by the time the TV's all the way on, I'm in the game. Wow, that's quick resume. Quick resume, essentially. I invented my own quick resume. However, one time I fucked up. I must have pressed down or square or something, but I accidentally deleted my own Ratchet and Clank save, and Mike, I was on the last level. Damn. I had never beat Ratchet and Clank, because I borrowed that game from Addison.
26:56Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I didn't beat it until they made the remake. Okay, okay. 32:56Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Mike I'm gonna throw at you two more super chats Josh K says a Ganon game could have been M rated which gave Nintendo cold feet okay can you list me three M rated Nintendo games at all bless what is Xenoblade that's probably T I imagine M rated are we talking about made by Nintendo yeah because like mad world comes to mind on the wii more like mainline mainstay nintendo games mainstay m i don't know if they do that okay have they kept most to all their franchises tight and not like the stuff that they're originally making yeah okay i think i don't know what they're doing m-rated mario zelda star fox no usually it's like other ips like a bayonetta ikman i'm pretty sure bayonetta is rated m okay but like that's not they get exclusives are rated m they're not making the rated m games yeah donkey kong rated m conquer people are saying in chat conquer yeah but that's rare yeah yeah so those cases but okay okay yeah i don't i don't think they would want a rated m's uh ganon but i also don't think ubisoft would pitch that i think they'd know better i think those are things that you would establish earlier on what we would want um and then one more i was gonna throw at you david flores says ganondorf game could have just ripped off overlord slash pikmin personally i want capcom to do another zelda get the dragon's dogma team on it oh you go with like ganon's controlling the small minions and throwing them out while he's walking around in the back yeah not bad i like that i think that's fun that's inspired let's move on to story number two xbox says its share of gta 6 pre-orders matches its share of the console market following ps5 dominance claim this is from wesley yinpool at ign and i'll be honest mike i don't understand this one i saw this going down on my timeline yesterday yeah and we'll talk about it but yeah this one confused me i'm like i don't know what anybody's talking about right yeah i know why are we arguing yeah read the story we're talking about that microsoft has stepped in to address a report that claimed gta 6 pre-orders are heavily skewed toward ps5 over xbox series x and s in a report about this week's layoffs and studio reorganization at xbox the verges tom warren said the ps5's dominance over gta 6 pre-orders was ringing yet more alarm bells about xbox as a platform however excuse me xbox cso matthew ball insisted that microsoft was very happy with gta 6 pre-orders and that its internal data showed pre-orders were matching quote our share of the console market end quote here is ball's full statement in full quote tom we are very happy with gta 6 pre-orders the title is breaking records for xbox we expect even more records will be broken throughout the fall and our internal analysis shows our share of pre-orders to be matching our share of the console market end quote while sony does announce ps5 sales microsoft hasn't announced a number for xbox series x and s sales in years as of june 30th ps5 has sold more than 95 million units analysts have suggested that the combined xbox series range is being outsold by the ps5 by at least a factor of two to one if that ratio holds true there are likely twice as many gta 6 pre-orders for ps5 than for xbox series x and s yeah so let there's a couple layers to this story hit me let's start with the first layer okay matthew ball there writing in, Tom, we're very happy with GTA 6 pre-orders.
36:22The title is Breaking Records for Xbox. We expect even more records to be broken throughout the fall. Our internal analysis shows our share of pre-orders is to be matching our share of the console market. Thumbs up. Hey, that's great. That's what to be expected. It's going to be the biggest video game ever. It's going to be one of the biggest entertainment properties of all time. We expect pre-orders to be massive. That's great those numbers that they expect and beyond right like thumbs up to that yeah that's where my story ended right there it's like hey cool that's to be expected that's what i thought everybody was doing you know then we get into the next layer which is then becoming the console war battle of okay well how much have you really sold what is that true number and you'll see the chat start throwing in 20 the lols the stuff like that it's like we've already known that playstation is the head of xbox yeah matthew ball here is just saying they're happy with their numbers that's how i took that
37:19Blessing Adeoye Jr.:And I'll throw out the, there's only, so Tom Warren at The Verge put up an article talking about, called The Xbox Reset Gets Ugly. And its whole, its whole breakdown of everything that includes some of his original reporting. There's only one sentence in this article that refers to the GTA thing, where he says, it's in the middle of a paragraph. I'll read the sentence before it. Significant changes to Game Pass could also reflect the reality of the Xbox hardware situation. he then goes on to say sources at xbox tell me that grand theft auto 6 pre-orders are heavily skewed toward ps5 ringing yet more alarm bells about the platform and then after that he's not really talking about that anymore so there's only one sentence in this article that is talking about that so matthew balls is reacting to sources at xbox tell me that grand theft auto 6 pre-orders are heavily skewed toward ps5 ringing yet more alarm bells about the platform first half of that sentence undisputable no duh no no doubt right ringing yet more alarm bells about the platform so now we get into that's what this whole hubbub is about so now we get into the doom and gloom again where we return what will xbox's future be and we've had this conversation a million times right we can't nobody has the crystal ball in front of them to know in five to ten years time what will happen with microsoft and xbox we know there's a new ceo asha has come in she set the hundred days of learning about the data now the next hundred days has been enacting her new plan we've seen massive cuts we've seen her look and be like here's the new fundamentals of xbox flagship titles reduce try to make sure that we are right in line with where i want to be of course now we can go into the doom and gloom of like xbox is getting its ass kicked by playstation and nintendo for over a decade plus now yeah and they are in a bad place will they be able to recover we'll find out yeah yeah that's my thing is i'm like i guess my problem with with this whole thing is i'm like who gives a fuck like yes granddaddo 6 pre-orders are heavily skewed towards ps5 which we all expect yeah matthew ball expects that xbox expects that playstation we know that playstation outsells xbox by that much ringing yet more alarm bells about the platform i guess that's the thing that's being disputed and to that i'd say yeah sure dispute it if dispute it i guess but also who cares like that's not something that i will i read and go oh xbox is dead xbox is like i'm sure somewhere in a boardroom at microsoft at xbox they mentioned yeah gta 6 is really outselling us on playstation 5 right now and it sucks that we're at this sucks that this is where we're at but i don't think anybody's like oh this is surprising no i think they're just like man man we fucked up we're really happy with our pre-orders we're still happy with our pre-orders i'm sure come november they'll be hired yeah like yeah i I don't think, my thing is, I don't think anybody's wrong here.
40:06Blessing Adeoye Jr.:No. I don't think anybody's wrong here. I think Matthew Ball is right. I think Tom Warren is right. I think, I don't know, man. I think the internet's just fucked. If it became like a dunk session, I'm like, let's dunk on Matthew Ball to be like, okay, well, what is your console share in the market right now? Which we all know is low. Okay. Then there was another one where it's like, then people try to dunk on Tom Warren here and be like, Tom, you reported it. You know the numbers. Why are you attacking this guy? and it's like okay well we all we all gotta chill yeah just give the guy a thumbs up and just say i'm happy the pre-orders are going well for everybody like that's what should matter here yeah let's move on to story number three bungie shares the feature of marathon this is christina gonzalez at mmorpg this week bungie set out its goals to regain trust from the community announced that there are there would be more destiny content up ahead and announced overhauls were coming to Marathon.
41:00Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Now the Marathon team gives us details on the game's evolution and their vision. In Bungie's recent announcements, they acknowledged that Marathon's release underperformed, and this is just one reason behind the changes coming. But it's a big one, since they need to get things to a more sustainable point. So they're looking to grow, yes, but to change to also better fit some of the feedback they've gotten. Some felt that the competitive, fast-paced winner take all PvP, PvE, PvP. Why would you put it in that order? Everybody says PvP, PvE. Why are we doing PvEVP now? They're trying to say that the environment is more focused on the other players.
41:36Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Let's get on the same page. Experience was maybe not for them, or they wanted to do more within the world and lore that Bungie created. One part of the change is coming is a move beyond just PvEVP extraction gameplay. It will still be there for everyone who enjoys it. There will simply be other ways to enjoy Marathon. They plan to do this by continuing to invest in creating and building more of Tau Ceti 4 and in ways that make it feel closer to the original Marathon games. Expect more narrative, lore, and something deeper in the alien hostile world that can grow the experience both on and in between runs.
42:13Blessing Adeoye Jr.:More aliens, more risks to take, more rewards for curiosity, and yes, more encounters to give you a challenge. They've confirmed an all-new zone is also coming. They're building out connected PvE, PvP, and yes, PvPVE experiences. Interesting how you say PvPVE that time. Stop switching it up. Adding gameplay for different levels of skill and commitment. There will be options for solo players and crews, with the team building more accessible entry points and ways to learn the game as you play. Experienced players will also have difficulty options to be sure there are challenges for all. Even runner shells are getting some tweaks to agency, over progression capabilities and even some of the specialized roles they have we're even getting a new one in october the robot samurai bishop october will bring us the nightfall refresh which which is designed to improve the current seasonal content reset progression to bring everything even again and offer a number of rotations like sponsored cues and the return of cryo archive december symbiosis update will add some of those more approachable ways to learn and play the game perimeter is expanding and getting a visual overhaul new points of interest and other content and the tick queen if you're up for a fight with the biggest combatant yet symbiosis will also add the first dedicated pve mode where you can explore make discoveries experiment and take some risks without worrying about other players cutting any of that short an experimental team deathmatch mode is coming too with a more direct lower commitment way to play improve and get in the action without putting a full run at risk response to this mode will help shape competitive play in march the next scheduled major update this is when we'll see the majority of these overhauls happen quote march is the point where the experience we've described begins to operate as a connected whole giving us a stronger foundation to build upon beyond 2027 and quote mike you live in these live service ongoing games how do you rate this as a blog post a breakdown of what's to come for marathon yeah this is a really interesting one i give it a nice thumbs up i i appreciate that they are listening to the community i think they know just like we all know if you've played marathon there's something really good there there's something really intriguing and interesting in the lore and world of marathon there that people want to explore but just not in the high intensity pvp be extraction shooter mode and so So it is refreshing to hear them, especially Bungie as a whole right now of like, hey, we clearly got to get back to destiny.
44:51We know how much that matters to the community and ourselves. And of course, Sony. And then on top of that, we need to look at Marathon and say, is this what we're going to do? Right. There's two options. Either pull the plug and stop everything Marathon, which then stops everything at Bungie at this particular moment. And then we got to go back, which is a hardship to turn like that, especially profitability wise. or how do we build and keep the train on the track and build in front of it as we move? And right now, everything they just said is exactly what I would want to see from Marathon in the future.
45:22The problem is, is it's hard to get players back, right? All the great work that you put in, it is very difficult to get a large amount of players to jump back in. There will never be a second launch of a game that gets the numbers they got on the first launch. It's just kind of the way of the world when it comes to this. But if you can add in there, Maybe you can win back the sentiment of players. Let's just say this. Bungie makes really cool worlds. Marathon has a very cool, explorable world that I want to get to know more. If you can find a way to make PVE more at the forefront with four player co-op situations or single player stuff similar to a destiny, I'm into that.
46:01I would like to explore Marathon in my world. Will this work out? I don't know, but I'm down to at least dabble a little bit and see what goes on for the ride.
46:10Blessing Adeoye Jr.:A question. and I'm sure we've talked about this before, but it's been a while since we reviewed Marathon. I really, really dug Marathon. As far as I remember, dug Marathon. I believe Andy as well dug Marathon, even though Andy says he wishes it was another genre. At the very least, I think all of us here are like, no, but this is a good game. There's something here for it. What didn't hit for Marathon, whereas for Arc Raiders as an extraction shooter did hit for that? like what's the disconnect between how well arc raiders did versus how not well marathon did is it pc you know marathon's on pc yeah marathon was on pc uh it's to me bless everything felt tighter it felt more claustrophobic um in a weird way of like saying that the maps felt smaller and meant that engagements were going to be higher when i played arc raiders it felt like i had an area and a map to breathe and get away from other players and explore and loot more every time i played marathon it felt like either the environment was breathing down my throat or breathing down my back or it was another player on top of me and engaging me i think we also came off of hot off of arc raiders which had started to set the tone of like hey we're shooting at each other but we're also having fun giggling we are putting us destroying the art kind of at the forefront over being rats and murdering each other.
47:35It very much felt like when we jumped in the marathon, it was like, no, we're going to be competitive here and we're going to shoot each other on first sight. There is little to no cooperative teamwork right there, right? And I think that really heightened the player experience of you're already in a tight map. It feels claustrophobic. Now at every turn, somebody wants to shoot you. There was never a moment where you kind of giggled. Like Arc Raiders, it felt like baby's first extraction shooter and we're all down to be cool with each other on the playground. We're laughing. We're giggling. Somebody stoned up on top of the tower, having a great time shooting the arc.
48:09You're at the bottom laughing, going, what am I going to do? Am I going to shoot you? Am I not going to shoot you? And it was like this fun back and forth that had a different vibe that Marathon did not capture. Marathon very much captured the I'm playing gambit in Destiny, where it's like winner go home, and I don't want to go home right now. Or I hate going home because I keep losing, thinking i gotta reboot this fucking video game yeah i mean that's how i would that's how i would
48:34Blessing Adeoye Jr.:describe marathon i mean i think that's that's very factual because when i compare my time playing arc raiders versus my time playing marathon i think that was the distinct distinct differences arc raiders had this culture of stopping and like helping people and talking to people and not immediately shoot on site whereas marathon i i wonder if there's something to the idea that like marathon's gunplay is so fun and so tight might be that first person feel too i think it's that first person feel as well like playing a bungee or call duty or halo where it's like it is up close and the first thing is i'm gonna shoot no matter like i'm in that mode whereas arc raiders i think being more being third person and also maybe feeling a little bit less tight in the gunplay yeah kind of makes you want to pause for a second you were slower you didn't have slower uh unique abilities per character right the shells of we're leaning towards hey this the defensive shell this an offensive shell you didn't have that as just the arc raider jabroni running around like i think there's something to the skill ceiling of marathon versus the skill i guess progression or whatever you want to call it of arc raiders where if you lock in on marathon you can be real good at marathon whereas like arc raiders i always feel kind of on edge like i'll enter a gunfight and really not know how it's going to go and so i'm less likely to sacrifice the likelihood of getting into this fight and then losing and losing all my shit whereas in marathon i'm like hey pull up like i'll fuck you up come through and then that of course creates a culture where now you jump in as a newbie or someone who's not that good right even i say i'm not that great at these games and it's like it's hard dying over and over again right we found success playing solo myself andy and yourself of like i'm clearly just gonna do this mission and my goal is like literally just to go into marathon run across this cool awesome looking sci-fi biome do my mission and extract as fast as possible right like that was most of the time for me it was trying to get away from player engagement and i think the community has spoken bungie knows that bungie is known for a pve at the forefront with destiny and all their games and then pvp has always been secondary right and it's like there's a market for that that bungie players love but they want the pve experience over anything else yeah they want to live in your world i like i like all of what they're talking about here i hope they're able to pull it off like i know there's there's a looming conversation of will they even make it to march and like who knows that's the whole thing i don't know you don't know we can't predict what's going to happen but if i'm rolling with the idea that they do i do think they have a good chance i won't even say good chance i think they have a chance of turning this all around i want them to be the next no man's sky conversation or final fantasy 14 realm realm reborn or rainbow six siege i want marathon to turn around because i think if that game continues to fail and if it goes away i think it's such a waste of a really good core of a video game yeah we cannot waste that it's so like turn it to pve turn it to pve do whatever you want to make it popular but do something because that game is too fun and too cool to just go away it's a really interesting delicate dance because like i'm on the other side bless her i'm like just get to destiny right like just get back to destiny keep making that and i know that sucks to hear as a creative but like that's where i want to live and breathe and i wonder if like we could maybe take what we learned from marathon and put it into destiny similar to the division where it's like that way have the pillars right it is the destiny pve raids dungeons solo content just exploring and questing there is the pvp but could there be a player versus player extraction in that like the dark zone similar to the division where it is you still have that extraction bones and like yeah or of it but it is in just the mega hit that is destiny that's my thing is i i think that i still want extraction to be somewhat of the core of marathon no matter how much it changes yeah i hope yeah that they have that what do they call in division again the dark zone dark zone i hope they still have maybe a dark zone or some some area that requires that extraction gameplay because i think there's something cool about it'll be really interesting of like because you bring all this up and it's like well aren't we just making destiny then yes that's just marathon coded and themed and it's like already so close to that that's my thing is yeah at the same time like here we are talking about this idea of like yeah let's make marathon what it's not which is it's an extraction shooter okay well let's put in single player or like more pve focused content it's like well that's like the exact same thing right there that's what i hate about this is like and that's why early on like i think if you told me all these changes early on i would have been like ah man but like this is what it is though like marathon is an extraction game don't change it and i'm at the point of like hey do whatever you need to save it but i do think if we're just remaking destiny i then i'm just like what are we doing then even though i say hey world is cool gameplay is fun all that stuff like i don't think the solution is just all right let's just turn this into destiny because then you're just gonna have two competing projects and marathon will just go away anyway because you're gonna prioritize destiny once you get back to that be really interesting to see what they do because yeah there's gonna be so many similarities it won't be destiny but it will be destiny light almost so it's like where do you go from there it's not like they created hell divers yeah hell divers are completely different game so it's like yeah let's see what they got but coming out of Bungie they're clearly back is up against the ropes yeah they have to make big time and smart business decisions to get this shit back on track I mean I think the audience clearly wants more Destiny so it's like you go there you go there and it's like well we've already invested and we have we have this live right now how can we make this profitable how do we make this work and you got to do something with it I don't want to pull the plug yet is what I'm saying in the boardroom yeah give it another year yeah give it another year let's see let's see where this thing goes let's see start number four control resident devs officially confirmed fans most requested feature is coming in a post-launch update i'm reading from austin manchester at polygon control resident is out now uh though not yet physically and developer remedy entertainment has already deployed a patch to further fine-tune the combat so early enemies won't feel too tanky more updates are on the way and on Friday, Remedy shared its post-launch plans for the action RPG.
54:57Blessing Adeoye Jr.:First up is a new version of New Game Plus, creatively named New Game Plus Plus. While some games don't add a New Game Plus mode until weeks or months after launch, Control Resonant was released with the ability for players to start a New Game Plus run immediately after they beat it. In October, New Game Plus Plus will arrive, which means, quote, you can start New Game Plus run after New Game Plus run without, oh I see, without needing to erase all of your progress. do 665 runs if you want remedy explained in a blog post good news if you're vibing with control resonance melee combat and want to hack away at even more hiss enemies even better uh then more new game plus runs is a photo mode which control resident will get in november exact dates for new game plus plus and a photo mode were not stated quote we've seen the comments we hear you you want it and we want to get it into your hands remedy said this is where i become tim gettys and i go include photo mode at launch guys and that's a selfish thing because most players are probably are probably gonna get it to it after the photo mode gets there yeah i ain't most players i totally get it yeah i mean this gets a thumbs up i mean i'm impressed that three days in we're already three days in slash the day of release we're already going okay we heard the fan feedback we'll give this to you you know and it's like that's great new game plus plus for people who just want to keep replaying over and over good for you i love that photo mode such an interesting one to me because yeah you kind of the expectation is like just have photo mode right like we're at the we're at the age where like people want that but i bet you that like percentage of people who are actually using photo mode it's got to be so small which is fair you're right gotta be absolutely so mean jack wade like people who use photo mode more than just the twice or three times you do it chat i'm looking at you like that's got to be so small so yeah yeah and then what's the tools being used to create that how much work is being done on the team to add on photo mode i yeah you're 1000 here we are and like i'm more i'm more okay with it in this scenario i'll still forever have beef with xenoblade chronicles definitive edition nintendo switch 2 edition which is the actual name of that game that came out without a photo mode and that's one of the most photogenic video games i've ever played and you you this is your second definitive edition of this fucking game put a photo mode in this thing put a photo mode in it it's the third time this game is coming out on a third platform fourth i think actually because it came out on ds also and in 3ds give it a photo mode guys there you go come on well mike you know what remedy heard you bless they got it i appreciate remedy and i think them adding these updates is a huge thing but if i wanted something smaller say the tiniest news i need to know about where would i go plus i take you to our last story the we news channel where we cover all the small news items you need to know about story number five we news from vgc konami is marking the 40th anniversary of castlevania with a free game in a series sale the original castlevania was released on the famicom disc system on september 26 1986 meaning Saturday marks its 40th anniversary.
58:05Blessing Adeoye Jr.:To mark the occasion, Konami has released a mobile port of the original game, which is available on the iOS and Android app stores under the name Castlevania 40th Anniversary. The app is completely free, but will only be available until October 24th, after which it'll be delisted from the stores. Players who claim it before then will be able to continue playing it. As well as offering the original for free, Konami has also launched a sale on the PlayStation and Steam stores where it's heavily discounting titles from the Castlevania series. Nice. Okay. Well, we circle back to the Super Chat that said they're teasing a collection of the originals.
58:41Yeah, he said people are thinking Konami teased
58:45Blessing Adeoye Jr.:a 3D Castlevania collection in their 40th anniversary video. Okay. I'll see. I'll find the video. We'll bring up the video. We'll take a look. Are you big on Castlevania Blast? Because this will be my first Castlevania. What do you mean this will be? This new one. Oh, Belmont's Curse. Belmont's Curse will be my first one. It will also be my first Castlevania. Oh, now I like the Netflix show. Really fucked having with the Netflix show. Hell yeah. Yeah, I know. That was all the rage when that came out. So good. Yeah, that'll be exciting. I think we're going to really dig Belmont's Curse. Okay. This is me saying that because I love the Dead Souls game.
59:18Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Of course. I'm going to drop this in Assets. And Kevin can play it in the background. and we can see if there's a 3d collection piece i mean with you and i both not being real hard to identify this as kevin's playing this i'll read more more wee news for you uh don gazer in action rpg from vanillaware dev takafumi noma is heading to switch 2 in 2028 and we can circle back around to that because there's a trailer attached to that as well Hell is Us on Switch 2 has been delayed to October 27th, and the Rogue Prince of Persia has received its final update. Kevin, I'm just going to give up on this Castlevania thing, because there's no way me and Mike are going to be able to.
1:00:05Yeah, there's no way we would know.
1:00:07Blessing Adeoye Jr.:We're like, oh, shit, there's the hint. Dong Gazer. Not a great name for a game. Not the best name for a game. In theory, it looks cool when written down. When you say out loud, Dong Gazer. Oh, yeah, but it's Don. It's Dawn. It is. It's Dawn Gazer. But like, you got to say the word out loud before you name your entire video game. See, now here's the problem is I like this team because I like Dragon's Crown a lot. You like Dragon's Crown? Dragon's Crown on the PS Vita. Fucking no ball, dude. This guy knows ball. See, I'm on the 13 Sentinels train, which is the same people. Same kind of art style, too.
1:00:47Beautiful art style. Beautiful art style. Unbelievable art style.
1:00:49Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Kevin, we can pull up the Dong Gazer trailer here that I have in the dock. Because, like, I love the work these guys did. I didn't realize that Takafumi Noma, I need to look up their work because they're not at Vanilla Rare anymore, which is the studio that made. Oh, okay. Hold up. And 13 Sentinels. But it has the exact same art style. Got that vibe, yeah. Yeah, Takafumi Noma. I'm on their IMDB. Yeah, they worked on Unicorn, Overlord, 13 Sentinels, Super Mario 64 DS. Fun fact. Hell yeah. I mean, this looks like their other games. Yeah. That's good for me. Okay, we'll put this in our back pocket and show me gameplay of what we're doing here.
1:01:33Maybe I'm in. I think this is the gameplay. I want, well, I wanted to check. You know, side scroll and beat them up like Dragon's Crown. Is it this tactical game like Unicorn, Overlord? What are they going to go for?
1:01:44Blessing Adeoye Jr.:All right. Yeah, we'll look forward to Dong. gazer yeah hell yeah and that is it for we news um let's hop into super chats real quick see what y 'all are saying dylan miller gave a super chat didn't say anything thank you so much dylan thank you air bud says do y 'all ever wonder what you'll be like 15 years post kind of funny bless running his own company mike hosting the game awards kevin's still playing crimson desert 15 years past kind of funny what you'll be going what you're gonna i'm barely thinking about tomorrow but yeah i mean yeah that that is the fun uh you know game to play it's like where is everybody what is everybody doing i would like to think that i'm still playing video games maybe streaming who knows you know what i mean maybe i'm just a park ranger out of yosemite national park just being the toll guy hey bless 25 bucks the end of the park hey go have a wonderful time oh yeah i'm honored that this person thinks i have the stuff to run my own company you do bless i don't know if i would love to gain those skills i but i need to i don't know shit i don't know business like that i would like to learn it but i don't know 15 years past kind of funny i don't know i'll probably just be doing random host gigs i imagine i like that yeah yeah i mean maybe we tag team the game awards oh i'd love that you do the jeff keely role i'll be like lucy james oh that would you like to be okay deal yeah you do that okay right i'm gonna do my own i'll let them know that we're next up we'll take it over i'll 15 years past kind of funny yeah i i'll say look at skill skill up and look at lucy james i'm trying to enter that row okay you know jake baldino i'm trying to be one of those okay i like so i gotta be more likable though because they're very lovely people street shadow writes and it says i think the goal is to get marathon to a state where it can cruise but not get rapid updates so that they can focus on destiny starting and vaulting yeah i mean i think that's the juggle game that you're going to see with both of these projects actually of like yeah how do we get both of these to just cruise so we can finally get to what is next and make sure that like we're back on top it's crazy that we just kind of got to this position here with bungie after destiny 1 into destiny 2 taking over the world running a certain genre having a killer fan base and now here we are questioning like what are we doing yeah like yeah there's a whole conversation of why didn't we just decide to do destiny 3 let's keep going keep going on destiny 3 you know is that a creative thing where it's like hey like i we've been doing this for 10 years something different like let's get let's get away from this i don't know that'd be that'd be a really fun interview or interesting interview to do is be like yo so what happened are the why is the numbers dropping so rapidly or like so much over time that we just know destiny is like run its course and it is finally time for us to move to something different i just don't believe what we're talking about it's crazy yeah it's wild that when i think i hold destiny very high in my life especially destiny one of like bringing that feel in that genre right to the forefront especially on consoles too it's like they were riding it and they rode into destiny too it's just odd that we're here now like questioning what's going on um casper writes in and says happy friday y 'all also please play ace combat um i think one of us here say it guess what we're gonna have an ace combat review so far with me and gary witta right after this show your games cast is a review so far of ace combat eight wing of thieves hell yeah yeah i wish i was playing ace combat but i've been playing other games for review so i haven't had the time to get to it i was fucking fighter jet piling in it i'm jealous because i really really liked the preview preview had me locked in six hours of playing ace combat in one city those clouds like you brought up bro the clouds are beautiful there's there's some dope missions where you get lost in the clouds and you're holding your breath yeah when you're going to come out the other side of like what will be waiting for you it's it's so fun kish coin says first time watching wow i'm on the west coast best coast i need y 'all to play ace combat 8 after these glowing reviews also and he's still like mike rex uh well ace combat 8 i'm going to talk about it and i do recommend it for sure so there you go west coast best coast rex Oh, West Coast, Best Coast, Rex.
1:05:56Bless you. Let's go back and forth. I'll take hot boys from you.
1:06:01Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Oh, that's good. That's good. I mean, West Coast, are you in the Bay Area or are you just on the West Coast? Yeah, exactly. So I don't know. You're just general West Coast. I don't know. Lake Tahoe. I'll steal one of yours. Love that. Go to Lake Tahoe. Here's the perfect. If you had all the time in the world and you didn't have to worry about getting back to your job or family, you would rent a car down in L.A. and you would drive up the coast all the way to San Francisco, if not a little bit past that, up to Oregon, like right on the border, and just have the best time pulling off at every beach town.
1:06:31You'd go from L.A. up to Santa Barbara, over to San Luis Obispo. Slow, you've been there. Come on. Oh, yeah, I love Slow. You drive all the way up. Slow's pretty chill. Slow's lit. Slow's pretty chill. Slow is a very cool vibe.
1:06:42Blessing Adeoye Jr.:You want to talk about 15 years past, kind of funny? I'm living in Slow. Oh, rewind time. I go to college at San Luis Obispo. That would be a great time. That would be fucking sick. What a vibe is right. Then you drive all the way up to one, all the way to Big Sur. You'd be up in Carmel, then make it to Monterey. You'd be at the aquarium getting along. You've been to the aquarium? Which one? The Monterey Bay Aquarium? No. Blessing. There's this room that you walk in. It's just this dark, well-lit room, but it's a big circle. And all along you on the walls are these fucking beautiful dancing jellyfish.
1:07:11But then you look up and it's just giant fucking dome. And it's just fish swimming in circles around your head. And it's like, it's the coolest vibe ever. That's pretty sick. And then you'd make it up to Santa Cruz, cool beach town. Shout out to the banana slugs. Natural bridges up there. Then you'd make it to San Francisco and keep going. That's my recommendation. I like that. Just get in the car and drive.
1:07:30Blessing Adeoye Jr.:In the car and drive. You can't go wrong. I'm Just a Billy says, will you guys play War Dogs? It's blowing up. I would like to take you and Andy one day into War Dogs. I've only played it very briefly. But I would like to show you what's hot about it, why it's the latest craze, and see what's up. It's tough. We're busy. But we'll put it on the list. I'll put it's high on my list. I'm curious about it from like an academic standpoint. Okay. Like what is war dogs doing that these other live service shooters? Let's do it. Yeah. We'll check it out one day. Street shadow says the shift in tone from bungee is refreshing.
1:08:00Blessing Adeoye Jr.:We never saw Parsons being out front like Poria and Josh Dean. It's a good step, especially admitting they need to adjust the game. I'm excited to get back. I really liked the last two blocks from them. I appreciate that. Fans are enjoying that, right? It takes a lot of courage to get in front and say, Hey, we are trying to listen to you and adjust accordingly. That's big. And we'll do one more from JJ baseball, who says birthday tax. Just wanted to say, thank you guys for getting me through my work days. This is the best community and you guys are the best. Keep doing what you're doing and love y 'all.
1:08:29Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Thank you so much for that. Sorry for all the super chats. I didn't get you guys wrote in a lot today, but we do appreciate it. But we had to get to the next show. We're going to talk about these combat. He's combat with Mike and Gary of thieves. And of course there's going to be some Gary rants. There's going to be some side tracking. So you ready for just a fun games cast overall. It's gonna be wild. uh let's hop in to kindoffunny.com slash you're wrong where you write in let us know what we got wrong as we got it wrong so we can correct it for those watching later on youtube and listening later on podcast services around the globe kebabs right since it says ration clang one doesn't have the ability to delete saves from the load save menu what bless probably did was not press down to go from new save to load save so when he hit x he overwrote his save with a new save rather than loading it.
1:09:14Blessing Adeoye Jr.:Source, I turned on my CRT and checked the game just now. You know what, Kebabs? I think that's what happened. I think you're exactly right. I think it wasn't that I would always do it as it was turning on. I think this might have been the one time that I did it while the TV was turning. Yeah, I was like, oh, I'll just do the thing while the screen's off. Hit X a bunch of times to load the game. And then by the time it's on, I had saved over my old game with the new game. Thanks, Kebabs, for that correction. um dante the clerk says nintendo has published very few m-rated games but some include eternal darkness geist on gamecube and emio the smiling man okay yeah none of those fit any of the big time flagship titles is right um let's see here no we're not doing that kebabs and no we're not kebabs okay nintendo turned 137 years old yesterday that's not you're wrong so it's not even a wee news we don't even celebrate 137 if I'm celebrating the fucking birthday of every publisher out there you know how long it takes me to develop to prep KFGD I don't care that Nintendo turned 137 years old yesterday kebabs stop taking up space you did a good one with my ratchet thing and now you're becoming M &M's with me again kebabs there it is that's it for you're wrong and that's it for this episode of Town Funny Games Daily, Mike.
1:10:41Blessing Adeoye Jr.:I'm excited to hear you and Gary talk about Ace Combat 8, Wings of Thieves. I'll get you hyped up for it, bless. Get me hyped up. Make a little time if you can't. Yeah. I know you're very busy. If this was last year, this would easily take the spot of my Sniper Elite Resistance when we were bringing up my top 10. This would snuggle right in of that 5 to 10 range, and I think a lot of people are going to like this game. Hell yeah. Well, I look forward to that. I look forward to Control Resonant being played right after that. Me and Greg are doing a jam-packed Gamescast play, so look forward to that.
1:11:15Blessing Adeoye Jr.:But that's been it for Kind of Funny Games Daily. It's been me. It's been Mike. Game Daily.
