In short

The episode argues that a newly released Federal Bureau of Prisons FOIA document shows a continuing cover-up involving Donald Trump and Todd Blanche in connection with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s prison transfer.

Key claims

Maxwell met with Blanche for an interview in late July 2025, then was transferred days later to a low-security “federal prison camp” (described as “cushy,” with a puppy mentioned). The host alleges the transfer was a quid pro quo to get Maxwell to vouch that Trump never did anything wrong, citing her testimony and an email suggesting she discussed Trump being left alone with a young woman/girl.

Notable examples

the unsigned, undated DOJ/FBI “Epstein File Transparency” review; Blanche’s talk-show claim he had nothing to do with the transfer; and a judge’s rejection of Maxwell’s habeas petition using Epstein File Transparency Act documents.

0:00Michael Popok:We got a new document out of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and it demonstrates that the cover up related to Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, led by his attorney general, Todd Blanche, continues. Todd Blanche wants the world to believe the Bureau of Prisons, on its own initiative, just decided to transfer Ghislaine Maxwell from one level of security in Tallahassee, Florida, to a cushy club fed facility where she can have a puppy. Just days, literally days after she met with Todd Blanche to give an interview to try to bail out Donald Trump, Todd Blanche wants the world to believe he had nothing to do with it.

0:41Michael Popok:When I go through the timeline and I read to you from the document, still shrouded in secrecy, despite a Freedom of Information Act request. When I go through all of it, we're left with the same answer. There is a cover up at the highest levels of the Trump administration. What are they hiding? Why don't they just confess that they gave Ghislaine Maxwell as part of a quid pro quo, a cushier prison deal, because they liked what she said about Donald Trump. Just tell the truth for once. I'm Michael Popok. We're kicking off Wednesday morning here on Legal AF YouTube channel. If you like this kind of content and being updated on it and briefed on it, hit that free subscribe button.

1:21Michael Popok:All right. Now, before I read to you from the document, this shrouded in secrecy, still redacted to tell us the real reason, can we just go through the timeline, please, for a moment? First, the Trump administration, before the Epstein File Transparency Act was finally entered into the public record. We've got a Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Department of Justice, joint report allegedly about transparency and the Epstein scandal back in the summer of 2025. One of my favorite things about this transparent document is that nobody signed it and it's not dated. Nothing says transparency like nobody wanting to put their John Hancock on the bottom of it.

2:08This kicks off the part of the cover up.

2:11Michael Popok:It says, as part of our commitment to transparency, again, nobody signed this, nobody dated it. The Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have conducted an exhaustive review of investigative holdings relating to Jeffrey Epstein, including more than 300 gigabytes of data and physical evidence. And they don't, again, this is before they were forced to make the production. They say there's no incriminating client list. They then say that there is, that they're not going to be doing any further investigation. There's no one else to investigate. End of story. They say to that end, while we have labored to provide the public with maximum information regarding Epstein and ensured examination of any evidence of the government's possession, it is the determination of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation that no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted.

3:03Michael Popok:That's what led to the Epstein File Transparency Act, which then brings us, and that's around July 2025, that brings us to Todd Blanche interviewing Ghislaine Maxwell July 24 to July 25, just five days before she is ultimately transferred by the Bureau of Prison. The timeline alone suggests the causal link between the information she gave, the willingness to cooperate, to try to bail out Donald Trump's reputation. How low, by the way, do you have to sink to have a convicted five-time child sex trafficker who's serving a 20-year sentence? Have that person vouch for your character. That's your character witness?

3:50Michael Popok:Now, we know from Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan and their reporting in that amazing book, Regime Change, which is also was published in the New York Times as a chapter, Freak Out in the Situation Room. But there was a freak out in the Situation Room around this summer, top of the summer 2025 period, a year ago. And Todd Blanche volunteered to go and meet with Ghislaine Maxwell. And of course, we know that Trump took him up on that offer. And we know what they wanted out of Ghislaine Maxwell. They wanted to try to distance Donald Trump from his relationship with his best friend, Jeffrey Epstein, and his other best friend, Ghislaine Maxwell, to have her say, I never saw Donald Trump do anything wrong.

4:31Now, we know from emails that have been released

4:35Michael Popok:through the Epstein File Transparency Act that that's a lie, that there's one email in particular where Ghislaine Maxwell, G. Max, is kibitzing with Jeffrey Epstein about Donald Trump being left alone in the house with a young woman or girl. So we know that's false. But of course, they wanted a clip like this one. Play that clip. Never saw the president in any type of massage setting. I never witnessed the president in any inappropriate setting in any way. The president was never inappropriate with anybody. in the times that I was with him, he was a gentleman in all respects. And lo and behold, after two days and seven or eight hours of witness testimony under oath in which she was given immunity.

5:21Michael Popok:Think about this. She's a convicted child sex trafficker. She's already serving time in prison. She was given immunity in order to talk more about the child sex trafficking ring that she was convicted of. Under what? Why was she given immunity? She was already convicted of her crimes. And that's another Todd Blanche special, right? Another thing that was a disqualifier from him becoming the attorney general. Now, Todd Blanche went on Sunday morning talk shows, and he said he had nothing to do with it. It was safety concerns about Ghislaine Maxwell, that she was being threatened violently. He could care less about the victims.

6:00Michael Popok:He could care less about their personal and psychological safety. But he cares about the convicted child sex trafficker? And here's his clip about, I had nothing to do with her transfer plan. We will always talk to survivors and victims' families. But just backing up to your question about Ms. Maxwell, nobody ever talked to her. Nobody ever asked her questions about what she knew. So when she said that she had something she wanted to say, notwithstanding the fact she had been convicted, of course we went and talked to her. Imagine if we didn't talk to her. Imagine if she had said, I have a story to tell and I would like to talk to the government And I said, no, the same outrage would be directed at this department for not speaking with her.

6:42So so we're trying to do our job here and we are doing our job here. But but any victim that wants to talk to the FBI, that wants to talk to the Department of Justice, they can call us any time. Let me ask you, President Trump in September urged Attorney General Pam Bondi to prosecute former FBI Director James Comey, New York Attorney General Letitia James and Senator Adam Schiff, saying in a social media post that was supposed to be private, quote, they're all guilty as hell. Comey was indicted five days later. Does President Trump speak to you or to the attorney general directly about individual criminal cases and investigations, Mr.

7:21Blanche? I will never talk about the communications I have with President Trump. I don't expect Attorney John Bondi will either. However, when it comes to the prosecutions that this department is undertaking, we are following the facts and the law, period. And so with the case of James Comey, and he was indicted, the case was then dismissed by a judge because of an appointments issue. We were already investigating, which was very much available to the public at the time that President Trump sent that note. Now we have the document, and I'm going to read to you from it. Here's a document obtained by a FOIA request.

8:05It is entitled, put it up on the screen because it's got small print,

8:10Michael Popok:Request for transfer application of management variable dated the 30th of July 2025 facility, Tallahassee, Florida. Ghislaine Maxwell talks about transfer to federal prison camp. Now she gets to go to camp. Isn't that adorable? Does she get like a little backpack, a little sippy cup? She gets a puppy as far as we know in Bryan, Texas. Institution adjustment. Include a brief description of the inmate's adjustment during this period of incarceration with emphasis on recent adjustments. And there's no text. Rationale for referral. There's no text. There's citations to certain public rules. What it says under five, note any past or present behavior and or management inmate concerns.

9:02Michael Popok:It then lists other, again, nothing presented other than potentially her safety. And that's the form. And that's the entirety of the form. Isn't that wonderful? And Blanche wants us to believe that nothing's being covered up, that nothing is being obfuscated by Todd Blanche to cover up for his main client, not the United States of America, not you and me, but Donald Trump. In the last week, I've done the reporting that Judge Engelbert in Southern District of New York Federal Court finally put a nail in the coffin of Ghislaine Maxwell, I mean, not literally, in which he ruled against her petition for writ of habeas corpus, her last gasp effort to try to get out of jail.

9:56Michael Popok:She wrote it herself. She tried to use Epstein File Transparency Act documents. Talk about galling. She's using the documents released for the benefit of the victims, where she's already been proven and convicted of being a predator of these victims to try to get herself out of prison. Even Judge Engelmeyer was like, look, the documents you gave me that you think help you actually prove why you're in prison, Why you're there. So that ended it. The Supreme Court ended her normal appellate rights. Engelmeyer ended her writ of habeas corpus. But now we've got what really happened, just as we always suspected.

10:37Michael Popok:a five days after she testifies internal Bureau of Prisons document. And Todd Blanche looks the American people in the eye and says he has nothing to do with it. And he's sending her to a low-level camp, which internal Bureau of Prison documents, which Alison Gill Muller, she wrote, found a year ago, say it is never appropriate to send a convicted child sex trafficker, somebody who preys on women and girls into a low minimum security camp. Okay. She's in with other women and young women. This is where you send the, you transfer the wolf to the hen house. I mean, that's what Blanche has done. And we're going to continue to follow this story to the bitter end.

11:29Michael Popok:We on Legal AF and Midas Touch will never let up on the Epstein scandal, Trump's relationship and friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, and the amount of times he's mentioned in the files. We won't rest until all the files are produced, until a special master or magistrate is in charge of reviewing the Department of Justice, and ultimately until Todd Blanche is impeached for his role in the cover-up. Popok reports on the newly released Bureau of Prisons form that shows the causal link between AG Todd Blanche's interview of Ghislane Maxwell and her transfer to the cushy confines of a prison "camp" giving her more access to young woman than before, in exchanbe for her favorable testimony vouching for Trump
