0:00You're listening to the Men in Blazers media network, suboptimal radio. After scoring, you cup your ears. What were you saying to the world, Cole? That they're not ready. That the world's not ready or the opponent's not ready or just all of us? All of you. I feel like I can go wherever on the pitch and find areas where I can cause damage. Because you're being injured and then you're going out thinking, oh, can I do certain things? Can I not over-thinking things? Like not doing things that you used to be able to do because previously, it would hurt if you did it and whatnot, but I'm over that now.

0:38What's going on, Rog? You tell me, it took just 31 seconds of the season

0:45Rog:for you to get your first assist. When that ball went into the back of the net, what did it feel like for you personally? Was it joy, relief, disbelief? What did you feel? Just joy, really, and a bit of disbelief disbelief because I didn't think we was going to score that quick. You seemed through the game dangerously unstoppable like a man on a mission. You got what ended up being the winning goal and after scoring you cupped your ears and you pointed at your head. What were you saying to the world, Colt? That they're not ready. That the world's not ready or the opponent's not ready or just all of us?

1:20All of you. Not just for you but Morgan Rodgers, your friend, your teammate, he scored on his Chelsea debut and leased his Chile celebration, which you have famously trademarked.

1:32Rog:And you joked earlier this summer that if he did the Sally, you'd have, quote, the bailiffs at Roger's door. He scored the goal. Did you actually think he'd do it? Had you guys talked all of this through? No, we've not talked about it. And I knew he would do it, though, but we're not talked about if we're going to do it together or not. That's just all you people that do that. But here's what people want to know. If Morgan Rodgers scores 20 goals this season, would you consider sharing the trademark, Colt? If he pays me.

2:02Last season was difficult. You weren't able to consistently hurt opponents in the style to which you're accustomed. In your own mind, what was the cause of that, man? Many things. Mainly just injury, though. The injuries lead to what?

2:16Rog:Is it physical and mental? Yeah, it's just like, because you're being injured and then you're going out thinking, oh, can I do certain things? Can I not over-thinking things? You're not doing things that you used to be able to do because previously it would hurt if you did it and whatnot. But I'm over that now. In comes your new Chelsea manager, Shabby Alonso. And he told us last week that you are world-class. And he said, if you feel the flow in the game and you connect with your teammates, you'll have a great season. What's he told you, Shabby, about what he wants? What's his main advice been, Colt?

2:49He just said be free because he knows what I can do when I feel good and I feel like I can go wherever on the pitch and find areas where I can cause damage. So yeah, that's what he's told me.

2:59Rog:This summer, you were also reunited with Morgan Rodgers, completing that JP Morgan front three. You've been friends with Morgan since you were 14, part of City's academy. I believe you helped convince him to move to Chelsea. What did you tell him about the team and about what the two of you could accomplish together? I just told him that he'll make a big difference assigning other players as well. So we're going to have a good team and we can do something good. Can you describe in your own words how you and Morgan Rodgers can play together, what he'll do and what you need to best combine. I think we're two different players.

3:30He's more physical, more powerful and stuff, and I'm more technical and whatnot.

3:34Rog:This summer, you released your own brand of ice, Cold. Sold out twice the week it launched in England. I don't know what made you decide to become an ice influencer, Cole, but tell America why your ice is better than any other ice. My ice is premium ice, if you can even get premium ice. I'm sold. Just buy the ice, put some money in my pocket. That's why. No other reason. Colt, you're 24 years old. You've won a lot. In your mind, what's your career highlight been so far? Probably Club World Cup. And for those of us on the outside who'll never experience it, what's the best thing about being a professional footballer?

4:15Just doing something that you love every day. And what's the hardest thing that we would never understand about being a professional footballer? I don't know, maybe the pressure that comes with it. I don't know.

4:24Rog:I've got a lightning round. Would you rather make the home crowd go limbs mad, loud, or silence an away crowd? Make the home crowd go mad. Would you rather score a Rabona or a Penenka? Rabona. Would you rather have the ability to take free kicks like David Beckham or the ability to fly? Ability to fly. Because? It's better. Would you rather be an NBA star, a basketball star, or a star in the NFL? You get paid more. Basketball. NBA star. And if you were a footballer, what would you most likely be in an alt-life? Rapper? Racing driver? A DJ. Win 1-0 or win 5-4 and why? Me, personally, win 5-4. Because?

5:10It's more fun, isn't it? But the defenders will say 1-0, won't they? It's more fun. Is that what football's about at the end of the day? Yeah. You know, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams did your celebration after scoring in freezing weather in Soldier Field, told reporters afterwards that he took his inspiration from you, Cole Palmer. And he said, that man is a dog. It's a compliment, Cole. First of all, do you know who Caleb Williams is? I've seen it, yeah, on Instagram. But his word dog is different in America than the word in England, isn't it?

5:40Rog:Yeah, yeah, yeah. But to be clear, it's the ultimate compliment, Cole Palmer. I would not say it to you if it was the other way around. But what would that feel like to see the clip, to know that you, your play, your celebration have been seen and appreciated by NFL stars. It's nice. To me, he's one of the greatest quarterbacks ever to play in the NFL. I mean, him looking at you and then saying, in this moment, we're doing this, it's kind of mind-blowing. It is. Does it feel good to be knowing that it's not just England, it's not just Europe, it's like the biggest stars in other sports looking at you and just reveling?

6:13Yeah, especially in America. If you interview him, tell him to buy my ice. Cole Palmer to you to your team to your season thank you mate thank you very much courage
