In short

Hunter Clarke-Fields promotes her Mindful Parenting Teacher Certification Program, arguing that mindful parenting training creates a “ripple effect” by improving teachers’ own nervous-system regulation and then equipping them to help parents respond rather than react.

Guests

No external guests are interviewed; the episode features Hunter Clarke-Fields (creator of the program and author of Raising Good Humans).

Key claims

Teaching requires living the practice; the program begins with trainees’ personal growth (mindfulness, self-compassion, nervous-system regulation, and examining how upbringing shapes parenting instincts). It then provides a ready-to-use, research-based curriculum plus live mentorship, small-group feedback, and business-building guidance.

Notable examples

Alumni testimonials describe reduced overwhelm and improved effectiveness with patients; one therapist reports clients leave sessions with “a real game plan.”

0:00Hunter Clarke-Fields:It's Hunter Clarke-Fields here, creator of the Mindful Parenting Teacher Certification Program and author of Raising Good Humans. And I want to take a few minutes to speak directly to you, to your heart. If you've been practicing mindfulness, if you've been working on becoming a more conscious, intentional parent, and if you've started to feel that little nudge, that quiet voice saying, I want to help others too, I created this program for you. The Mindful Parenting Teacher Certification is a five-month online training designed to help you become a grounded, confident, skillful teacher of mindful parenting.

0:37Hunter Clarke-Fields:It's designed for parents who are passionate about parenting and want meaningful work, for therapists who want a program that helps them directly with parenting and with parents' reactivity, for coaches, teachers, really anyone who is passionate about helping parents. And it's also a deeply transformative personal journey. Because here's the thing, to teach this work, you have to live it. So we begin with you. The first part of the program is focus entirely on your own growth. You'll deepen your mindfulness and self-compassion practices. You'll learn how to regulate your nervous system, not just for your own benefits, but so that you can hold space for others in a really, truly calm, embodied way.

1:22Hunter Clarke-Fields:We'll also explore how your upbringing shaped your parenting instincts so you can shift those inherited patterns with more awareness and choice. You'll gain the tools to respond rather than react, not just at home, but in any setting. And once you're anchored in your own experience, then we move into that teaching phase. I give you my full mindful parenting curriculum, which I've taught to thousands of parents around the world. It's a ready-to-use, research-based program that you can lead either online or in person. We send you a big book. Here it is, 160 pages of lesson plans, guided scripts, handouts, PowerPoint slides, even email templates.

2:09Hunter Clarke-Fields:It's all done for you. But we don't just hand you a binder and send you on your way. you also get live mentorship and feedback with me and a team of expert facilitators who walked this path. You'll practice teaching in small groups and get supportive constructive feedback so you will feel confident and prepared. And when I say small groups, I mean it. I hate being in a room with 30 people and not getting to know anyone. I want to get to know each teacher trainee personally. And so I keep these groups very, very small on purpose. We also give you the nuts and bolts of building your business or offering from how to create a welcoming space to how to attract participants to how to price and position your offers authentically.

2:58Hunter Clarke-Fields:And honestly, this community, because you're in such a small group is so incredible. People come from all over the world, therapists, educators, yoga teachers, social workers, doulas, parents who are ready to bring more calm, compassion, and clarity to families and their communities. It's such a powerful experience to go through this together, to be witnessed, to be supported, and inspired by others on the same journey. And what I love seeing again and again is that people don't just come out of this program with a certification. They come out changed. They're more grounded, more confident, more connected to their voice, their purpose, their values.

3:39Hunter Clarke-Fields:Here's what some alumni had to say. It's so, so powerful. Like moms, the moms that I have had in my courses, some of them come back to me even like still and say thank you because this helped them so much. And not only for the parenting, but for their lives, because they felt overwhelmed. They felt a lot of difficult emotions. And they came back to me and they say, this is so nice to have these tools. It's really, really important. And it's something that I really believe in deep in my heart, that it's something that society needs more than ever. Since day one, I've been much more effective with my patients to the point where sometimes they're like, wow, you're a genius.

4:28And they start with problems. And at the end of the session, they're smiling and giggling and they have like a real game plan. And so I cannot thank you enough for really augmenting my knowledge and my ability to help my patients.

4:45Hunter Clarke-Fields:If you've ever thought, I wish I had this when I was struggling, or I want to help others feel less alone. This is how you become that person for someone else. And trust me, you don't have to be perfect. We go by the guiding principle that we are all learners. We are facilitating this work for other learners. We don't have to be a perfect expert to share mindful parenting with others. Enrollment is open now. And like I said, I only take a very limited number of students into this program. So I encourage you to apply right away. Everything is online and flexible. You can join from anywhere in the world and then the live sessions are recorded if you ever have to miss one.

5:25Hunter Clarke-Fields:So if your heart is saying yes, if you feel that pull, even if your mind is a little nervous, I invite you to listen. You can head to mindfulparentingcourse.com slash teach to learn more, watch a video, read the FAQ, and apply. And if you're not sure, if you have questions, please reach out. I'd love to connect. Thanks for being here. Thanks for doing this work in your own life and for even considering sharing it with others. We need more calm, compassionate leaders in this world. And I'd be honored to walk alongside you. I wanted to embody that same calm, that same expertise around it and being able to say, yeah, I nailed those, you know, I statements and saying, okay, I'm still working on those I statements.

6:14It's been an amazing opportunity. It just kind of served as a catalyst for me to move into sharing it through a business, but more so because it's allowed me to take it into communities and circles and conversations. It's really literally teaching a new language, a new perspective and mindset in this parenting. So I'm really grateful that I encountered it for myself and that I'm still able to continue. It's not going to stop just because your kiddos are little. It's going to really, like the ripple effect, it'll help you later on too.

6:52I still struggle with some of the same things that the people who come to my classes are struggling with. And so, but I think that actually makes me even a more qualified teacher in some ways, because I can speak from my experience very authentically and openly and I don't have to be um Robin actually I know Robin would say this like up on like a pedestal right like you don't have to be like on high coming down with this information it's like it's okay to be in it too and then speak from your heart
