0:34Annalisa Cochrane:We will give you the ingredients for a Ben and Jerry's flavor and you have to name it. Banana ice cream with fudge chunks and walnuts.
0:40Kyle Hagge:I'm going to say tonight, Joe. Incorrect.
0:42Annalisa Cochrane:Vanilla malt ice cream with peanutty fudge covered pretzels with fudge and peanut buttery swirls.
0:49Niki Mahmoodi:Tonight, Joe. 2.0.
0:51Annalisa Cochrane:No, it's not tonight dough. Vanilla ice cream with a chocolate cookie swirl, chocolate chip and chocolate chocolate chip cookies.
0:59Niki Mahmoodi:Huh. No. This one might have been mentioned in prior answers. I'm going to go with tonight dough. No.
1:06Annalisa Cochrane:What? Y 'all are obsessed with tonight dough.
1:09Kyle Hagge:Caramel and chocolate ice cream with chocolate cookie swirls and gobs of chocolate chip cookie dough and peanut butter cookie dough. The gob father.
1:17Niki Mahmoodi:Fields of gold.
1:19Kyle Hagge:This is shocking out of you. Y 'all are embarrassing. It's the Tonight Dough. You guys are joking. You're actually kidding me right now. I cannot believe that just happened.
1:28Niki Mahmoodi:That's Tonight Dough.
1:33Annalisa Cochrane:Good morning on this Memorial Day. Hope you've been able to spend the weekend with friends or family, preferably next to a body of water. Because of the holiday, today's episode is going to be a little different than typical. Back by popular demand, it's a game show, a format we've run before on holidays. We asked three of our very funny co-workers from Around Morning Brew to come on the podcast and answer trivia questions.
1:55Kyle Hagge:Neil always says I give out way too many hints. I just like to see people succeed. It's five rounds of fun. But before we get into it, a word from our sponsor, LinkedIn Ads. Bullspend! What was that? So glad you asked, Neil. Bullspend is a term LinkedIn coined for when marketers optimize for the numbers that look great, impressions, reach, and reactions, but they can't show revenue, which leads to a not-so-great conversation with their CFO.
2:23Annalisa Cochrane:LinkedIn Ads helps you invest in what looks good to your CFO. They generate the highest ROAS, 121 % of all major ad networks, reach the right buyers with LinkedIn Ads. You can target by company, industry, job title, and more.
2:38Kyle Hagge:Spend$250 on your first campaign on LinkedIn Ads and get a$250 credit for the next one. Just go to linkedin.com slash mbd. That's linkedin.com slash mbd. Terms and conditions apply. Let's get into it.
2:52Annalisa Cochrane:Joining us on the show today are three of the fiercest competitors we could find around the office. They'll play five rounds of trivia and the person with the most points at the end will win the grand prize of Toby. What is our prize? I will change my Slack profile picture
3:07Kyle Hagge:to a picture of you. And right now it's a picture of a turtle figurine that Neil got me from Oaxaca, Mexico so this is a pretty big deal play hard folks okay let's quickly get to know our contestants
3:21Annalisa Cochrane:first up is Annalisa Cochran who makes very funny very informative videos for the morning brew
3:26Niki Mahmoodi:Instagram Annalisa beach or lake this might be divisive I have to go with lake today nice yeah why lake over beach um I really want some tubing right now I like that the lake offers shade at certain points during the day. What else do I have? Docks are really fun. Boats are really fun.
3:48Kyle Hagge:Famously, docks can only go into lakes, not into oceans, too.
3:52Annalisa Cochrane:Not a lot of sharks. Next is Nikki Mahmoodi, who also makes very funny and informative videos for the Morning Brew Instagram. Nikki, what is the best song to play at a barbecue?
4:01Niki Mahmoodi:I think It Wasn't Me by Shaggy.
4:08Annalisa Cochrane:Incredible song.
4:09Niki Mahmoodi:Yeah.
4:10Annalisa Cochrane:I associate I did it with barbecuing. Yeah. 100%.
4:13Kyle Hagge:Yeah. Who overcooked this cheeseburger? It wasn't me. Finally, someone you all know very well. It's Kyle Haggy, Morning Brew's chief of staff, host of the Per My Last Email podcast, and MBD super sub, Kyle. Hot dog or burger?
4:28Niki Mahmoodi:Well, first honor to be here, Toby. If we win, it shouldn't be a profile picture of us. We should get to pick what picture you make your slack. So I'm going to throw that out there. That feels right. I like that. Answer hot dog. Oh, that's all we're getting? It just feels more, it's Memorial, it's coming up on Memorial Day. It feels more fun. You can have a burger anytime, but I think a Memorial Day on a hot dog on a holiday feels very special.
4:52Kyle Hagge:I actually like that take a lot. Hot dogs are not something you eat on a normal daily basis. Burgers are too accessible. Exactly. I like it. And also not a lot of sharks when it comes to burgers too. All right, Neil, we're about to dive in, but I'm just saying that I'm keeping score today. on this whiteboard right here. So this is a very legit operation. So no funny business from you guys. Neil, what is our first round?
5:18Annalisa Cochrane:Okay, round one is news, which is the reason we all have our jobs. So enthusiastic. If you get the question correctly, you're going to get one point. If you get the question wrong, the next player in line can steal your question by answering it correctly. If none of you get the question right, we'll tape you all to your desks. Dunk tape. Dunk tank. Annalisa, first question to you. It's the trend taking over graduation season. Commencement speakers are getting booed by students when they mention what? AI. That is correct. The former Google CEO and a real estate executive both got roundly booed after mentioning how AI was going to disrupt the economy.
5:59Annalisa Cochrane:Perhaps not the smartest strategy when trying to inspire a generation of young people. Does anyone have a good graduation speaker?
6:07Niki Mahmoodi:Yes.
6:07Kyle Hagge:Flex on us.
6:08Annalisa Cochrane:Okay. Who was it? You don't even remember them.
6:10Niki Mahmoodi:Yeah, I do. It was Megan.
6:15Kyle Hagge:Rapino?
6:15Niki Mahmoodi:No, from SNL. Superstar. Catholic schoolgirl.
6:21Annalisa Cochrane:Megan from SNL?
6:23Kyle Hagge:Megan Markle?
6:24Niki Mahmoodi:Isn't her name Megan?
Read the full transcript
6:25Kyle Hagge:Molly Shannon?
6:26Niki Mahmoodi:Molly Shannon. Wow. Molly Shannon. Molly Shannon. Molly Shannon.
6:32Kyle Hagge:May I flex for one second? Sure. John Krasinski. Pretty good. That's not a solid. Okay. May I not flex there for a second? John Krasinski just kind of just looked at the camera with that knowing glance the entire time. He did good news. All right. Well done, Annalisa. Question two. This one goes to Nikki. Speaking of AI backlash, which Shark Tank judge is locked in a fight with a Utah residence over a massive data center he wants to build?
6:59Niki Mahmoodi:Kevin O 'Leary.
7:01Kyle Hagge:A.K.A. Mr. Wonderful.
7:02Niki Mahmoodi:Mr. Wonderful.
7:03Kyle Hagge:He's sort of morphing into his character in Marty Supreme. All of that is left to bring Timothee Chalamet out to Utah and spank him.
7:12Niki Mahmoodi:Yeah. Do you guys know about the boat? No.
7:15Kyle Hagge:Oh, I do know about the boat, actually. What's it do? It's a little dark, actually.
7:18Niki Mahmoodi:It's a little dark. Maybe I should. You can Google.
7:21Kyle Hagge:Just Google Kevin O 'Leary boat, and you'll see what comes up. Okay.
7:25Annalisa Cochrane:Well, question three is also a dark story about a boat. This one's to Kyle. The cruise ship MV Hondias has arrived in the Netherlands after a nightmare of a trip where 11 people were infected and three people died of what illness? Hantavirus. That is correct. Hantavirus. Wow, we got three for three in the first couple of questions. Just hold on. You don't want to say this now. This is Kid's Jeopardy. Just trust me. The difficulty will ramp up. I'm feeling a little confident. Here's the wild part about this ship. It's going to sail again with people in a couple of weeks. It's going to be disinfected, inspected, then head out on a polar cruise that's priced starting at$5 ,750 per person.
8:09Annalisa Cochrane:Would anyone step foot on this ship?
8:11Niki Mahmoodi:Yes, me. No, we have to ban cruises. Not even about the virus. We just have to ban cruises. I think they're good.
8:18Kyle Hagge:I'm team cruise as well, honestly.
8:20Niki Mahmoodi:It's a petri dish.
8:21Kyle Hagge:Tom Cruise. I'm team Tom Cruise. All right, question four. Everyone's three for three. This one goes back to Annalisa. Which pop star is suing Samsung for using her face to sell TVs?
8:32Niki Mahmoodi:Dua Lipa.
8:33Kyle Hagge:Or as I like to call her, Dula Peep. It is a very smart marketing tactic. Dua Lipa could sell garlic to a vampire.
8:41Annalisa Cochrane:All right. This next one is for Nikki. Question number five. Chipotle's CEO recently said that if you want bigger portions, you should do what?
8:53Niki Mahmoodi:Like pay more money for them?
8:56Annalisa Cochrane:Not exactly. Kyle, this is a steal to you. If you want bigger portions at Chipotle, the CEO said you should just do what?
9:03Niki Mahmoodi:If you want bigger portions at Chipotle, you should order the burrito bowl and ask for double chicken.
9:13Annalisa Cochrane:That works, but that's not what he said. Annalisa, save us.
9:17Niki Mahmoodi:Ask.
9:18Annalisa Cochrane:All you got to do is ask. That's what he said. He said, if you want bigger portions, just ask for more. Simple as that.
9:25Niki Mahmoodi:Good steal. What can I say?
9:28Kyle Hagge:I recently saw a guy go into a Chipotle and order a wet burrito, which is zero dry ingredients. So it's pinto beans, black beans, queso, sour cream, all three types of salsa. And then he just says, wrap it up. And the Chipotle worker did that. So apparently you can ask them to do almost anything, including more portion sizes and make a wet burrito.
9:51Annalisa Cochrane:And how was the integrity of the burrito, of a tortilla?
9:53Kyle Hagge:It was unbelievable how it contained everything. One of the grossest things I've ever seen in my entire life, though. All right. Question six. To Kyle. To Kyle. Citing the Iran war, Japanese snack food giant Kalbi announced it would make what change to its packaging?
10:08Niki Mahmoodi:Oh, God.
10:11Kyle Hagge:It's going to remove oil from the packaging. It's not not right, but we're not going to give that one to you. So it snaps back around to Annalisa.
10:21Niki Mahmoodi:Yeah, they're going to make the packaging black and white. Oh, my gosh.
10:24Kyle Hagge:She's dominating. She's dominating.
10:26Niki Mahmoodi:How are they going to do that?
10:27Kyle Hagge:May I ask?
10:28Niki Mahmoodi:I mean, how are they going to print something in black and white?
10:31Kyle Hagge:Yeah. No, he's saying. By using less oil. He's advocating for his own answer there.
10:35Niki Mahmoodi:We need like the research team in the background to come back, like an NBA review and award me the point.
10:41Kyle Hagge:No, we actually are just getting words from our producer. Kyle, still no point for you. Okay. Okay, great, great. Unfortunately.
10:46Niki Mahmoodi:Thank you.
10:47Kyle Hagge:Yeah, the company said it's switching to monochrome packaging for its popular shrimp sticks, potato chips, and other munchies due to Iran war supply chain disruptions. It blames the change on a shortage of Nafanta.
11:00Annalisa Cochrane:Nafna. Nafna.
11:03Kyle Hagge:Is that the North American treaty? An oil-derived product used in printing ink. I like how you said oil-derived there. Nafna.
11:11Annalisa Cochrane:Nafna. We've said it on the podcast a million times. Napsta. Napsta. Napsta.
11:17Niki Mahmoodi:How depressing to eat candy out of a black and white packet. I know. That's so depressing. It's mostly chips, but I agree.
11:23Kyle Hagge:Like, it really does. change how uh you know consumers walking down the aisle yeah and the taste probably on alice so
11:30Annalisa Cochrane:this is question number seven to you which baseball team just set a new attendance record by packing over 102 000 fans into kyle field at texas a &m uh probably a texas team the texas
11:46Niki Mahmoodi:i'm gonna go with the atlanta braves I don't know Texas
11:50Annalisa Cochrane:Not quite Nikki?
11:52Niki Mahmoodi:Is it the Astros?
11:53Annalisa Cochrane:No Oh my god This is not a major league baseball team Kyle Haggy This has happened at Kyle Field So I expect you to know this Shout out to Kyle Field And shout out to the Savannah Bananas Here we go
12:05Niki Mahmoodi:Ding ding ding ding That is correct Point on the board Sorry we were looking Wait what's their mascot? We were looking for
12:12Kyle Hagge:Take the oil out of the baseball stadium Actually Kyle So
12:16Annalisa Cochrane:I've never seen a game show where someone gave themselves a ding, ding, ding after they got the right answer. Yes, people seem to have very strong feelings about the Savannah Bananas. Do you guys like them? I think we put them all on a cruise ship, to be honest.
12:30Niki Mahmoodi:You call them a baseball team. It's not what they do.
12:33Annalisa Cochrane:They dance. Well, they play baseball. They dance. They sing. They do all types of antics, like circus. But it's extremely popular. I think it's circus.
12:41Niki Mahmoodi:They're not. What league are they in? They do pretend baseball because it's funny. Yes. I don't feel like that question was set up correctly. You've never heard of the Savannah Bananas until now? God, I'm so jealous of you. I wish I forgot everything I know about them.
12:54Kyle Hagge:They are popular. I like that they do flips and catch balls. It's like Harlem Globes.
13:00Annalisa Cochrane:Maybe pretend baseball is more popular than regular baseball.
13:03Kyle Hagge:All right, question eight. Whose turn is it, Neil?
13:06Annalisa Cochrane:Nikki.
13:07Kyle Hagge:Nikki. A study from ADP found which city to be the best in the United States for recent college graduates to find jobs? oh is it like fucking oh i'm not allowed to say bad words sorry is it uh uh pittsburgh no pennsylvania it's not right nor is it in the right section of the country either okay on to kyle minneapolis minnesota ding ding ding ding ding something which is actually minus four points in this regard. So Kyle, you're in negatives now. Annalisa, it was not Minneapolis or Pittsburgh. Any idea? Dallas slash Houston. Okay. Dallas slash Houston. They're very far apart. Texas is big.
13:55Niki Mahmoodi:Okay, can I choose one?
13:57Kyle Hagge:Yes, you can choose one of those.
13:59Niki Mahmoodi:I think it's Houston. I know that Dallas has been growing, but I think I remember hearing Houston.
14:03Kyle Hagge:A clutch answer, not even close. It's Birmingham, Alabama. What the hell? Has anyone been to Birmingham? Is there just a bunch of jobs on the ground in Alabama? Well, Neil, tell them why Birmingham is hot right now.
14:15Annalisa Cochrane:Yeah, Birmingham has a lot of medical jobs. UAB, University of Alabama, Birmingham, is kind of a juggernaut there. And I guess, according to this study, it is the best city in the United States for recent college grads to find jobs. Have you been, Neil? I've been to Birmingham, yeah.
14:29Kyle Hagge:Neil has been to lots of just random times.
14:31Annalisa Cochrane:The most random town.
14:33Kyle Hagge:He loves driving. I love driving.
14:35Annalisa Cochrane:I don't get to do it here, so I just drive down to Birmingham. and just give them an award for the best city for young college grads. Final question, Kyle. Lego unveiled one of its biggest sets ever, containing 8 ,278 pieces and selling for 650 bucks. What is the structure in this set?
14:59Niki Mahmoodi:That would be the... Gray Wall of China.
15:05Annalisa Cochrane:Not the Gray Wall of China. I'd be an insane Lego set, though.
15:08Kyle Hagge:I like that answer.
15:09Annalisa Cochrane:Would China allow that? I don't know. Annalisa?
15:13Niki Mahmoodi:Wait, how many pieces?
15:15Annalisa Cochrane:8 ,278 pieces. God, it's easy.
15:18Niki Mahmoodi:The Death Star, Star Wars.
15:21Annalisa Cochrane:There already is a Death Star one. I know it. I think it's a little smaller. Okay, Nikki. I actually know it.
15:27Niki Mahmoodi:It's the World Cup trophy.
15:29Annalisa Cochrane:No, but that'd be cool. What? You thought you were confident.
15:32Kyle Hagge:They do have a World Cup. Because they just made it. Yeah.
15:35Annalisa Cochrane:Well, they might have made it, but this is not the massive set. The answer is Minas Tirith.
15:41Niki Mahmoodi:What is that?
15:42Annalisa Cochrane:I knew it. Minas Tirith is obviously the capital of Gondor and the Lord of the Rings.
15:48Niki Mahmoodi:Okay, so that was a question for boys, and there's only one boy here. And I didn't even get it right. That's not really fair.
15:53Annalisa Cochrane:I've let down my gender. Many of women watch Lord of the Rings. So this is not the biggest set ever. There are a few that are bigger. We have the Colosseum and the Titanic, which are over 9 ,000 pieces. should include the MV Hondias in there. And the Eiffel Tower is the one with the most pieces. It comes in at 10 ,001.
16:12Kyle Hagge:I wonder what the one piece is. I guess just the Paris flag on top. Why not make it an even 10 ,000? All right, you guys did pretty well on the news category. And by you guys, I mean just Annalisa because the scores are Annalisa has four, Nikki has one. That's good. And Kyle, self-ding Haggy, has two. Self-ding, here we go. Self ding. All right, so let's move on to round two. The movie review site Letterboxd is one of the few authentic corners of the internet left. For this round, we went deep into Letterboxd for some of the funniest, strangest reviews left by users. We will give you the review, and you have to name the movie.
16:52Kyle Hagge:That's sick. And once again, steals are in play. This category is approved by Nikki. This category is sick, as she likes to say. Who is up, Neil? I never remember. Who just answered the last question?
17:03Annalisa Cochrane:Let's just go with who has the least amount of points.
17:05Kyle Hagge:All right. Nikki, it is. Savage. All right. Question one. And I'm just reading in the review here. Incredible how Emily Blunt plays a character called Emily, whose main characteristic is Blunt. One of the many visionary elements in this seminal masterpiece.
17:22Niki Mahmoodi:Devil Wears Prada?
17:23Kyle Hagge:Yes. The original, by the way. Yeah.
17:25Niki Mahmoodi:I didn't say two. Did not say two. Let's all take it.
17:28Annalisa Cochrane:Emily is Blunt. Okay. He wears P. Review number two. Kyle. Whenever I think about getting back together with my ex I watch this film Works like a charm Um
17:43Niki Mahmoodi:The Avengers
17:45Annalisa Cochrane:Not the Avengers Annalisa
17:47Niki Mahmoodi:Oh Uh Crazy stupid love
17:54Annalisa Cochrane:I feel like this review could work for a lot of movies It's not that one Nikki any idea
18:01Niki Mahmoodi:The Joker
18:03Annalisa Cochrane:Joker is not correct. The answer, this was a review, and I'll just read it once again. Whenever I think about getting back together with my ex, I watch this film, Works Like a Charm. The answer is Gone Girl.
18:14Niki Mahmoodi:Oh. That would certainly all make sense. I think I've seen that one, that review and the film.
18:20Kyle Hagge:What if the answers were all just Devil Wears Prada? That would have been good. All right, question number three. We are back to Annalisa. Imagine being at an orphanage And someone picked a talking mouse over you Oh
18:35Niki Mahmoodi:Uh Stuart Little Correct Stuart Little
18:39Kyle Hagge:Nice Imagine having the mouse get adopted before you
18:43Niki Mahmoodi:I totally forgot about that movie
18:44Kyle Hagge:It's electric Yeah Underrated fashion icon too Stuart Little is tossing fits in that movie
18:50Niki Mahmoodi:Some talking animal movies in the 2000s Yeah Remember
18:53Kyle Hagge:We gotta bring those back
18:54Niki Mahmoodi:Bring those back
18:56Annalisa Cochrane:I feel like every animal Dated movie now
18:58Niki Mahmoodi:Oh, Air Bud doesn't talk. But he plays basketball, which feels like talking. That counts as talking. Very well. That feels like talking. He talks with his kids on the court. I know a lot of men that don't talk and just shoot. He talks with his kids.
19:10Annalisa Cochrane:Let the record show there's still a lot of movies with animals talking.
19:12Niki Mahmoodi:Yeah. I've just thought of my radar. Yeah. I've kind of evolved.
19:16Annalisa Cochrane:Okay. Nikki, this one's for you. For the love of God, just give the kid antidepressants.
19:23Niki Mahmoodi:It's a little dark.
19:24Kyle Hagge:We need to talk about Kevin. I don't even know that movie. Incorrect.
19:29Annalisa Cochrane:But maybe we should. Kyle? Up. Not up.
19:34Kyle Hagge:Not a bad guess, though.
19:36Niki Mahmoodi:I think this one is the Joker.
19:39Annalisa Cochrane:It is not the Joker.
19:41Niki Mahmoodi:The kid, Joaquin.
19:42Annalisa Cochrane:The answer, for the love of God, just give this kid antidepressants, Inside Out 2.
19:49Kyle Hagge:Great movie. That's a funny one. Voices in the head. All right. On to Kyle. Throughout the movie Amy boasts about her lovely small feet yet Florence Pugh is a size 8 according to wiki Oh, come on.
20:03Niki Mahmoodi:Okay one Never been on wiki feet. I got a hand up never never even heard of it God that sounds a lot like someone who's been on wiki feet honestly, is it a wiki feet the documentary?

20:26Niki Mahmoodi:well done i don't want to brag but uh maybe i am on wiki feet we should cut that and maybe
20:35Kyle Hagge:a size eight isn't that big actually follow-up question do you self-submit to wiki feet or is
20:41Niki Mahmoodi:Like someone else you just post a lot of photos that show your feet. I'm just told me we don't we wouldn't know the guidelines or rules Yeah, never even heard of the website.
20:49Annalisa Cochrane:Okay. I am curious about wiki I wonder how many people are on wiki feet, but not Wikipedia Also like their feet are so incredible
20:58Niki Mahmoodi:Why would you post your own photos when you could probably sell them right? Some people just do it for the love of the game. Oh, I've heard feet finders
21:06Kyle Hagge:That you don't want to be on actually wiki feet is all right This is turning a corner.
21:13Annalisa Cochrane:All right, we need to move on from Wikipedia. No, that is staying in. Question number six to Annalisa. When this came out, I thought that David Hasselhoff was a fictional character created specifically for this movie. And to be quite honest, I'm still not convinced he's real.
21:28Niki Mahmoodi:This is my favorite movie as a kid. SpongeBob SquarePants, the movie. Well done. I thought the same thing. Yeah, me too. I did too.
21:35Kyle Hagge:When his chest did the thing and it launched him back down.
21:38Niki Mahmoodi:That was so cool, man. I mean, he rode on the water with it. Yeah. Yeah. That's not possible.
21:44Kyle Hagge:I still try to swim like that. Try to get a lot of speed going. The Hasselhoff. All right. Well done. Nikki, this is to you. Question seven. Austin Butler is so bald. I've never seen anyone be so bald in my life. So moisturized and bald. He was glowing more than Edward in Twilight. What's your Megamind head skincare routine, Elvis boy? Okay.
22:06Niki Mahmoodi:Yeah, that would be Dune 2.
22:09Kyle Hagge:Dune Part 2. Yeah. I agree with the sentiment, too. There's never been a more bald character in any movie ever.
22:16Niki Mahmoodi:Smooth as hell. Just want to squeeze that head. Just want to pop that head right open.
22:21Kyle Hagge:All right. Crack it open like an egg.
22:23Annalisa Cochrane:Question number eight to someone with a little more hair than Austin Butler. Kyle Aggie. This review is another bong hit.
22:32Niki Mahmoodi:Wait. The review is another bong hit? Just sit with that one for a little bit.
22:36Annalisa Cochrane:Another bong hit. Another bong hit. Hmm. Yeah.
22:40Niki Mahmoodi:So a question mark or an exclamation point. There was no, no punctuation. All right. Letterboxd first. Work on your grammar. I'm going to go with Pineapple Express. It's a good guess. Toby keeps giving me good guesses, but no points.
22:52Annalisa Cochrane:You're giving out good guesses. Toby's the most encouraging game show host. Annalisa?
22:58Niki Mahmoodi:What is that Seth Rogen movie at the end of the world?
23:02Annalisa Cochrane:Pineapple Express.
23:02Niki Mahmoodi:No, no, no, no. At World's End. But I think that's actually the Simon Pegg movie. But I'm going to say At World's End.
23:08Kyle Hagge:That was a Seth Rogen movie. but incorrect. What's the Simon Pegg movie? Shaun of the Dead.
23:14Niki Mahmoodi:No, the last one. Wait, the one with Seth Rogen and the world's ending? Isn't his name Simon Pegg? Or am I making that up too? There's Simon Pegg and Seth Rogen, right? Simon Seth and Simon Cowell.
23:25Kyle Hagge:Simon Cowell.
23:26Niki Mahmoodi:Simon Cowell.
23:27Kyle Hagge:Is this the question now? Nikki, you're getting a lot of time to think about this for this steal.
23:31Niki Mahmoodi:Well, I think I knew it from the get-go because Bong, it's a play on the director's name.
23:37Annalisa Cochrane:Correct.
23:38Niki Mahmoodi:But now, what is the movie? I'm gonna guess the most Popular one on in in the commercially popular one parasite that is correct
23:49Annalisa Cochrane:Holy
23:53Annalisa Cochrane:Capitalized so this is parasite from the director Bong Joon-ho and it is yes the most commercially successful one the Academy Award for best picture
24:02Niki Mahmoodi:I agree another bong hit what what are the other
24:05Annalisa Cochrane:Bong hits that we should know that are less commercially successful memories of murder
24:09Niki Mahmoodi:is one of the best films ever made. I've seen it like 17 times. And the other one, I believe is called Mother, which is very... Snowpiercer. Snowpiercer. Then there's the one where you take a two liter of Mountain Dew and you flip it upside down and it shoots.
24:26Kyle Hagge:Now that one we have to cut from the show. This is a family friendly show. Nikki, a real bong knower. I like that. Thank you. Number nine. Who is this? Annalisa. Annalisa. divas in long dresses gossiping with each other trying to snatch a win this is basically rupaul's drag race divas and long dresses trying to snatch a win um gossip with thinking gossiping with each

25:27Kyle Hagge:about what conclave was because of conclave and the real conclave happened yeah i remember uh we did invite the Pope on this show. He said no, so we got Kyle instead. There was another great...
25:38Annalisa Cochrane:Two Midwesterners. So this was the second most popular review for Conclave. The first one on Letterboxd with like 84 ,000 likes was most diabolical vape hit of all time. Another iconic scene from that movie, which was a great movie. Pretty good movie. We are now at the end of round two. Thank God. So bad at movies. Kyle's ready for that one to be over. What does the scoreboard look like now?
26:02Kyle Hagge:All right, Annalisa still has her nose in front with seven points, but Nikki came on very strong with two extra steals. I feel like we should have awarded her two points for some of those. She has five now. Wow. Kyle, non-movie knower, Haggy has two. All right.
26:17Annalisa Cochrane:Round three, Kyle, what is your knowledge of ice cream? Ice cream? Yeah.
26:22Niki Mahmoodi:Big fan. Okay. Big fan. All right.
26:25Annalisa Cochrane:Love it. Maybe this is your comeback category. Okay. It's ice cream season. whether you're a chewer or a liquor, cone gal, cone cup guy, you better be brushed up on your flavors, specifically Ben and Jerry's flavors.
26:38Niki Mahmoodi:Oh, here we go. Come on now. What the hell? It's a premature ding.
26:42Annalisa Cochrane:In this round, we will give you the ingredients for a Ben and Jerry's flavor, and you have to name it. Yeah. Yeah. All right, Kyle, we will start with you. Cherry ice cream with cherries and bud flakes.
26:54Niki Mahmoodi:Are you serious? Let me finish.
26:56Annalisa Cochrane:Let me finish. Cherry ice cream with cherries and fudge flakes. Cherry Garcia. That is correct.
27:04Niki Mahmoodi:Points on the board. Ding, ding, ding. Comeback time. Y 'all should have never let me get ice cream. That's not fair.
27:09Kyle Hagge:All right. Number two, Annalisa. Banana ice cream with fudge chunks and walnuts.
27:15Niki Mahmoodi:Oh, is it the monkey one? I'm going to say tonight, Joe, because that's the one that I really know.
27:22Kyle Hagge:All right. Incorrect. Incorrect, unfortunately. Nikki.
27:26Niki Mahmoodi:I guess I'll try to steal that. Is it like a monkey madness?
27:32Kyle Hagge:What do we do with that? No. That is not the name of the flavor. Nikki, would you like to try again? Whoa, whoa, whoa. What is going on, Toby?
27:41Niki Mahmoodi:I think Toby's favorites. You can't just say the wrong flavor.
27:45Kyle Hagge:I'm not going to lie. Yeah, I think Nikki's my favorite right now, so I'm giving her another chance. No, because he has money on me. And I do have money. The prediction markets.
27:52Niki Mahmoodi:Let's see Toby's poly market. All right, fine. Pull it up. Okay, it's all right. Go ahead. Chunky monkey. Chunky monkey. Bang, bang. That's what it is. You should have never let me in the freezer aisle. Come on. Chunky monkey. Kyle is actually going to dominate this category.
28:07Annalisa Cochrane:Oh, what the hell? This next one, this next flavor is for Nikki. I feel like Toby should just give Nikki all the questions because it's going to slip in the answer. Yeah, buddy.
28:15Niki Mahmoodi:Why don't you just let me?
28:16Annalisa Cochrane:Number three is chocolate ice cream with gooey marshmallow swirls, caramel swirls, and fudge fish.
28:23Niki Mahmoodi:Oh, oh, oh, fish food. Fish food is correct. Come on.
28:27Kyle Hagge:I feel like we should have audited that one because we did say fish in it. We gave half the answer.
28:32Niki Mahmoodi:Fish food. P-H-I-S-H. This is a farmhouse fish food.
28:38Kyle Hagge:Big fan of fish. I wish I was a fan of fish and could get that joke. Question four to Kyle. Yep. Vanilla ice cream with fudge-covered waffle cone pieces in a caramel swirl.
28:53Niki Mahmoodi:So first, I just want to say this is just testing who's the least healthy of us three. And I'm pulling ahead. And the answer to this one is Americone Dream. Oh, my God. Bang, bang.
29:04Kyle Hagge:Kyle, this is really impressive, too. Well done.
29:07Niki Mahmoodi:We'll give up in this category. We'll see if we can make up some ground.
29:11Annalisa Cochrane:Question number five to Annalisa. This flavor is vanilla malt ice cream with peanutty fudge-covered pretzels with fudge and peanut buttery swirls.
29:20Niki Mahmoodi:Tonight, though.
29:22Annalisa Cochrane:No, it's not. tonight. Tonight though is my favorite flavor. Afterwards, we'll go around and say our favorite flavors, but it is not that I'll say once again, Nikki for the steel vanilla malt ice cream with peanutty fudge covered pretzels with fudge and peanut buttery swirls.
29:38Niki Mahmoodi:I'm going to go. They like to do the music stuff. I'm going to go the Steely Dan hit album pretzel logic. Is that it?
29:48Annalisa Cochrane:That is, it would be a great, great ice cream flavor though.
29:52Niki Mahmoodi:That's a sick name.
29:54Annalisa Cochrane:Yeah, shout out Steely Dan Kyle. I can't read on your face whether you know this or not. I

30:58Annalisa Cochrane:Kyle, back to you. Okay. Vanilla ice cream with a chocolate cookie swirl. Chocolate chip and chocolate chocolate chip cookies.
31:06Niki Mahmoodi:Huh. No. This one might have been mentioned in prior answers. I'm going to go with tonight dough. No. What?
31:15Annalisa Cochrane:Y 'all are obsessed with tonight dough.
31:18Niki Mahmoodi:There's one ingredient in tonight dough that reveals it. And you'll know.
31:23Kyle Hagge:Don't spoil it. Don't spoil it.
31:24Niki Mahmoodi:But I want to help you guys. Annalisa, do you know this one? Can you repeat it?

32:23Kyle Hagge:Caramel and chocolate ice cream with chocolate cookie swirls and gobs of chocolate chip cookie dough and peanut butter cookie dough.
32:29Niki Mahmoodi:Now you're just naming random ingredients. Gobs. They love that word. The gob father. That's funny. That's good. Wow, Kyle.
32:40Kyle Hagge:You just come up with that? Yeah. You just pulled that out of thin air? Yeah. Not right. All right. Annalisa? Peanut butter fudge. Not peanut butter fudge.
32:49Niki Mahmoodi:It can't be that simple.
32:51Kyle Hagge:Nikki.
32:52Niki Mahmoodi:Can you repeat the ingredients?
32:54Kyle Hagge:Caramel and chocolate ice creams with chocolate cookie swirls and gobs of chocolate chip cookie dough and peanut butter cookie dough. Toby, can we hear the nutritional facts? How many carbs? That's got 4 ,900 calories per serving in eight servings.
33:08Niki Mahmoodi:Is it like fields of gold?

33:33Kyle Hagge:I cannot believe that just happened
33:35Niki Mahmoodi:That's tonight dough?
33:36Kyle Hagge:We put it very strategically eight paces down because we knew it would be a popular guest. That's tonight though. Tonight though. And I'm getting, you know what? I'm going to subtract the point I just gave to all you guys last round. No. Absolutely. Because of that performance.
33:48Niki Mahmoodi:I'm allowed to do that. See, I thought the bit was over, so I wasn't going to say it. But in fact, the bit was the answer. If you said it one more time, it would be embarrassing. I was sticking to the bit. That's crazy sauce. It is delicious though. Okay, we got two more here.

35:33Kyle Hagge:Buzz, buzz, buzz. Tell me, what's the score after that round? The score is not a lot of action that round, except for Kyle making up some ground. Manalisa and Nikki are now tied at seven with Kyle Haggy coming in close at five.
35:47Niki Mahmoodi:Five. Okay, I'm in the game. You're in the game. Give yourself a chance to win.

38:01Niki Mahmoodi:Oh, it's in one question?
38:02Annalisa Cochrane:You'll see.
38:03Niki Mahmoodi:Okay.
38:04Annalisa Cochrane:I'll explain. So the World Cup is right around the corner.
38:07Niki Mahmoodi:Come on. You have no idea what I'm going to ask. We've got a soccer jersey on. This is actually not a soccer jersey. This is the Olympic U.S. skateboarding jersey. All right, never mind. Then we might have a chance.
38:17Annalisa Cochrane:Is that true?
38:18Niki Mahmoodi:Yeah, it is. Okay. It's kind of fun.
38:20Annalisa Cochrane:Let me know I'm thinking we're wearing something that eerily resembles a soccer jersey, but is in fact a national team skateboarding jersey. Yes. Okay, so the World Cup is right around the corner. We want to see how many of the 48 countries that qualified you can name. So this is part footy knowledge, but also part geography. So when in doubt, just think of countries who call it football, not soccer. It'll be a survivor format. So we're going to go around and each of you has to name one country that qualified. No repeats, no passes. If you can't name one, you're out. Last one standing is going to win five points and probably the entire show.
38:57Annalisa Cochrane:And second place gets two points.
38:59Kyle Hagge:You guys ready?
39:00Niki Mahmoodi:And last place. I'm like my heart's beating. Yeah, I'm scared.
39:04Annalisa Cochrane:Okay, we're going to start with the person in last place. Kyle. Kyle.
39:09Niki Mahmoodi:You know, this would be quite embarrassing if I didn't get this right. So World Cup teams. Yeah. Correct.
39:16Kyle Hagge:Wait, country? Country's teams. All right.
39:20Niki Mahmoodi:Germany.
39:21Kyle Hagge:Great answer, Kyle. Germany has qualified for the World Cup. Brazil. Correct as well.
39:27Niki Mahmoodi:Oh, we just say it.
39:28Kyle Hagge:This is Survivor. We're riffing. Yeah.
39:30Niki Mahmoodi:Oh, Canada. Correct. German.
39:34Annalisa Cochrane:No, I'm kidding.
39:34Niki Mahmoodi:France. Correct. Mexico. Wow.
39:38Annalisa Cochrane:You guys are correct. Mexico. And so we've got two of the host countries, Mexico and Canada.
39:43Niki Mahmoodi:USA.
39:45Annalisa Cochrane:USA. Nikki. Spain. Wow.
39:49Kyle Hagge:You guys might do really well at this, actually.
39:51Niki Mahmoodi:Argentina.
39:52Kyle Hagge:Correct. Correct.
39:54Niki Mahmoodi:Senegal. Correct.
39:56Annalisa Cochrane:Going Senegal quickly. Okay. Kyle. Italy. Kyle. Kyle.
40:03Kyle Hagge:That's brutal, Kyle. Bro doesn't know. It's really sad because that is such a good guess. The Italians didn't qualify? Multi-time World Cup. They've missed out on the last two World Cups. Is it three? They haven't been in a very long time. In the men's side, they have not made the last. They lost to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
40:22Niki Mahmoodi:Yeah, that's one of them. Oh, here we go. Here we go. I had that in the ferry. Technicality. I'm somehow still in the mix. I'm canceling my trip to Florence. I'm not even pasta anymore. That's brutal.
40:33Kyle Hagge:That's brutal. Kyle is eliminated, though, unfortunately. Yeah, but don't go anywhere. We still need you later. I'll stay tight. But we need you heckling.
40:41Annalisa Cochrane:Okay, Annalisa.
40:42Kyle Hagge:Bosnia?
40:44Annalisa Cochrane:Yeah, I mean, it's your fault.
40:46Kyle Hagge:And? Bosnia and who? And who?
40:51Niki Mahmoodi:Bosnia and...
40:53Kyle Hagge:Not a real Bosnia knower. We'll still allow it, but Anna Hersa Govina. Thank you.
40:59Niki Mahmoodi:I knew that. It's a BOGO deal. Two for one. Yeah.
41:03Kyle Hagge:to nikki uh croatia correct uh uruguay correct uh winner of the world cup once once yeah uh the netherlands uh we'll accept the holland or the netherlands actually we just realized holland is a area of the netherlands and not the full name of the country but correct uh chile chile
41:30Annalisa Cochrane:Did they make it? I'm not seeing them. No Chile. Did Chile make the World Cup for 2026? Sanchez would not be happy. I know.
41:41Kyle Hagge:That is a good guess.
41:43Annalisa Cochrane:They did not qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
41:47Niki Mahmoodi:They've fallen off Chile.
41:49Kyle Hagge:Balna or Nikki, do you want to just flex on them with one final win? You better.
41:54Niki Mahmoodi:Alexis Sanchez. Sure. I think we got Ghana's in there.
41:59Kyle Hagge:Ghana's in there? You want to just keep going? You want to just keep ripping?
42:02Niki Mahmoodi:Yeah, I think we got Sweden's in there.
42:06Kyle Hagge:Sweden is in there.
42:08Niki Mahmoodi:Norway's in there.
42:09Annalisa Cochrane:Norway's in there.
42:09Niki Mahmoodi:Denmark's in there.
42:11Annalisa Cochrane:I mean, it's hard to not make it this year because there's 48 teams. Oh, yeah, tell that to Italy, Neil. Denmark did not make it.
42:17Kyle Hagge:Denmark did not make it. So Nikki is out, but Nikki has won. Some fun ones to root for this year is Curacao, which made it for the first time. Oh, I was going to say that. Smallest country ever to make it. That's what's up. Wow. They're very fun. And then a nice small country, too, who tends to struggle on the world stage as well. England. England might do well this year. You ever heard of them? I've heard of Uzbekistan as well. They're pretty good. Did Japan?
42:45Niki Mahmoodi:Does Japan have a? Yes, Japan. Japan is a favorite as well.
42:48Kyle Hagge:Japan is fun. There's a lot of fun teams.
42:50Annalisa Cochrane:South Korea. One team that's not fun that y 'all didn't mention is the final host country, which is the United States. I said, yeah, Nikki said that. Oh, Nikki said United States. Okay. Well, I just wanted to make fun of them. There's the the vibes are bad
43:05Kyle Hagge:Alright, well done Nikki that is a Two points for you three surely
43:19Kyle Hagge:So that that is the end of our graded portion of the exam we do have one more segment free response time. Should I give the winners right now? I think we know who won, but first place, Nikki with 12 points. Annalisa, second place with eight points because you added a third to your own score. And then Kyle in the last place with five or six, depending on if I gave you that last.
43:46Annalisa Cochrane:Shout out, shout out Italy. These categories were kind of right down the plate for Nikki.
43:51Kyle Hagge:I know,
43:51Niki Mahmoodi:but I think everyone has. no, no. She just, she watches soccer. at work.
43:56Annalisa Cochrane:She watches a lot of movies. But do I watch news?
44:00Kyle Hagge:Crush the news category. We're a business news.
44:03Annalisa Cochrane:Kyle, we'll do a parenting segment. You did well on the ice cream as well.
44:09Kyle Hagge:All right, we are going to move into the listener's choice portion of the show, which will be a draft. No, not for the war in Iran. We're drafting fruit. This will be a snake draft, which means our leader and winner, Nikki, will go first. Second place, Annalisa will go second. and then once we get to Kyle, he will go twice before it snakes back in the opposite direction. You're drafting a team of four and this is where all the listeners get to play. We want you to weigh in on who the most berry-pilled, melon-headed, passion-fruited of the group is. YouTube comments, Spotify comments. You can even email us at morningbrewdaily at morningbrew.com.
44:44Kyle Hagge:You will be the arbitrator of this fruit draft and we'll announce who accrued the most votes on our Instagram. The final wrinkle to this fruit draft is Neil and I want to play as well. So we're going to take up the last two spots, actually. So without further ado, Mickey, who are you taking number one overall in your fruit draft?
45:02Niki Mahmoodi:Easy pick, pomegranate. Let's go. Whoa! I mean, really good college career. Yeah. NFL ready. Yeah, yeah. I did not see pomegranate going one overall. It might have been on the board a little later. Has good leadership around them. Mel Kuyper is in shambles, though. He had that way down the board. Wow. I like the sneak pick. All right. Annalisa, second.
45:25Kyle Hagge:Mmm, dragon fruit.
45:27Niki Mahmoodi:Doesn't that name strike fear?
45:28Kyle Hagge:Holy moly.
45:30Niki Mahmoodi:Yeah.
45:30Kyle Hagge:Have you ever had dragon fruit? Yes. Trustry. Kind of gross. Not a lot of flavor. Hey, it's my fruit draft. It's intimidating. I like the name.
45:39Niki Mahmoodi:Kyle, go ahead. I mean, there's a lot of talent still left on the board based on those first two picks. I'm going to go with the Honeycrisp Apple because the University of Minnesota invented it. Fun fact. I like that. Oh, my God.
45:51Kyle Hagge:Homer.
45:52Annalisa Cochrane:Neil. I mean, the whole board is wide open for us, I feel like.
45:56Kyle Hagge:I mean, this was my number one process. I can't believe you made it all this way. When it's good, it's great. The mango. Mango is a good one. The mango. Neil, you get two.
46:08Annalisa Cochrane:I'm going peach. Peach? Because there's nothing better than a summer peach. Okay, what color? I like the peach. All kinds. I like it yellow on the inside. I like it white on the inside. I like nectarines. I like call me by your name. I like I like Peaches more than Timothee Chalamet. I then I think I'm going to go cherry. Peach cherry.
46:33Kyle Hagge:You guys are leaving a lot of good picks on the board for me. I like the Neal's team. I'm not going to lie.
46:37Niki Mahmoodi:You just said two. Yeah, because we snake. Now we're snaking back in the opposite direction.
46:42Annalisa Cochrane:That's how it works. Have you ever played fantasy football? Holy moly.
46:46Kyle Hagge:No.
46:47Annalisa Cochrane:Yeah. So we're doing we're doing snake draft. But you'll get two picks at the top back when it comes around to you. I guess I like pits. I like a little stone fruit.
46:55Kyle Hagge:Yeah, he's a stone fruit guy. I'm not going stone fruit. I'm going berries, and I'm taking raspberries. They're actually my favorite fruit.
47:03Annalisa Cochrane:As someone who goes to northern Michigan a lot, I'm surprised you're shading cherries. You took cherries. I know, but you were like –
47:09Kyle Hagge:And actually, real ball knowers know Rainier cherries are the best cherries out in the West Coast. That's facts. Kyle, you have Honeycrisp Apple on the board so far.
47:17Niki Mahmoodi:Yeah, so Honeycrisse Apple, low profile, low to the ground, low center of gravity. That's a point guard. You already have him. I'm going to need a rim protector, so I'm going to draft the banana.
47:26Kyle Hagge:The Victor Wembenyama of fruits. I love how you've just made this into an NBA draft. Previously, it was a football draft. It's a multi-sport draft. Okay, I like that. Stay with us. But I like that you're balancing your team. Annalisa, you have dragon fruit so far.
47:42Niki Mahmoodi:Oh, my God. That's smart. Yeah, that's all I want. That's all I want. I'll win with that. I'm going to take pineapple. You know, add some flavor. That's nice. Hang out above your doorway. Strong defender.
47:54Annalisa Cochrane:It's a very tropical roster you're building.
47:56Niki Mahmoodi:Exactly.
47:57Kyle Hagge:Swingers.
47:58Annalisa Cochrane:Nice.
47:59Kyle Hagge:Swingers. All right. Nikki, you got the pomegranate.
48:05Niki Mahmoodi:For sure. That's it. I got that for sure. Yeah. What about it? I got more. Okay. Grape.
48:12Kyle Hagge:You get two. You get two as well. Yeah.
48:15Niki Mahmoodi:Grapefruit.
48:15Kyle Hagge:Grapefruit.
48:17Niki Mahmoodi:and a classico strawberry.
48:20Kyle Hagge:I love how she's slowly becoming more conventional as the draft goes on. Strawberry made it to the ninth, or I can't even count that many. That is a, they had off the field issues or something came up because that is shocking. All right, so Nikki, you now have pomegranate, grapefruit, and strawberry. Annalisa, back to you with dragon fruit and pineapple.
48:40Niki Mahmoodi:And I'm going to bring on a pear. Whoa! I like that. A pear of what fruit? Do I get two?
48:49Kyle Hagge:Pear. Do you want to specify the type of pear or you're just going pear?
48:53Niki Mahmoodi:Is it pronounced Danju? Dan, do you know D apostrophe? Danulio? Does anyone know what type of pear I'm talking about? A Dijon pear?
49:01Annalisa Cochrane:Neil, are you Googling? I'm Googling. I'm Google over here. Did you just Google D pear? I just typed in famous pears and I'm not seeing any type of D. Is that not a pear? Start with a D. I'm seeing a Shinko pear. Oh, Danju pear. Danju pear.
49:15Kyle Hagge:It's D apostrophe A N J O U J O U. Okay. I was not sure that I do to get that. What? Duh pair. Duh pair.
49:25Niki Mahmoodi:Duh pair. Duh pair. Duh pair. I'll take the pair. Okay.
49:27Kyle Hagge:You got a pair.
49:30Niki Mahmoodi:Kyle to you. Okay. We got the point guard. We got the rim protector. I need someone who's an enforcer, a little controversy. Who's going to take it to the other team. Papaya. Wow. That is a controversial fruit. Yeah. I kind of like it. You want it on your team, and you do play it against it.
49:45Annalisa Cochrane:When was the last time you had a papaya?
49:47Niki Mahmoodi:I had a papaya in Austin, Texas about three weeks ago. Hated it. Controversial.
49:54Kyle Hagge:It's good, though. You're just getting what your roster needs, not necessarily who your favorites are. It's not about the best players.
49:58Niki Mahmoodi:It's about building the best team.
50:00Kyle Hagge:I like this. Okay. On to Toby. Again, can't believe it fell this far. The Blackberry. The Blackberry. I believe it fell that far. No, it's not boring. It's versatile. You got nothing interesting on your team. Cobbler. I'm getting a merit soon. It's a topping my cake. We have a little blackberry creme in there.
50:18Niki Mahmoodi:Fair, fair.
50:19Kyle Hagge:I don't know what else blackberry can go in. You can reduce it. You can muddle it. You can make jam. You can make jam. You can make preserves. But the blackberry is just delicious. Also, I did see that Uncrustables is coming out. I hope I wasn't duped by this, but Uncrustables is coming out with a blackberry jam flavor. That's very big news in my world as an Uncrustable lover.
50:40Annalisa Cochrane:All right, so I have my final two picks. I'm really weighing whether to go conventional or spicy like Kyle does with his team by picking a fruit that he doesn't even like. I won the draft previously on President's Day by just going mainstream, kind of mass market. So I might continue to do that and might resonate with people. So I'm going to go blueberry. Oh, wow. I forgot about blueberry. I feel like it was a first rounder that people overlook. So right now I have peach, cherry, blueberry, which are incredible. And then I think I'll go something a little different. Lime.
51:16Niki Mahmoodi:Oh, yeah.
51:17Annalisa Cochrane:Because lime is used in literally everything from drinks to make it just spices up. It just adds a little zestiness to life. Like anything you make in the summer, you're always going to want to squeeze lime over it.
51:30Kyle Hagge:When life gives you lemons, pick the lime instead. I like that pick. It does mog the lemon. So Neil's final team is peach, cherry, blueberry, lime. sounds like a great little like drink cooler i'm going i'm going watermelon it's summer it's summer it might be it could have gone number one overall actually as well so i'm rounding out my team with i mean i guys i got a good team mango raspberry blackberry watermelon that's the first round exit first round exit i got no depth yeah all right kyle finish your squad I'm okay.
52:10Niki Mahmoodi:Well, I have a few things to say. Well, can we break down my roster? Point guard, Honeycrisp Apple from the great state of Minnesota. We got the rim protector, Banana. We got the enforcer, Papaya. We need something just out there. A jack of all trades, something you wouldn't expect. And before I make my pick, I have to say we play for the name on the back of the jersey. Okay. I don't even know what the saying is. But we play for the fans. Please vote for my team. I think this is technically true. Someone's going to have to correct me that a tomato. Oh God, I knew, I knew he was going. I know he was going to put it on the roster.
52:47Niki Mahmoodi:Look at that lineup. Enforcer rim protector point guard in a Jack of all trades. Sneaky pick. That's a championship team.
52:54Kyle Hagge:One of the worst fruit salads. Imaginable. Imagine all of those together. Papaya and tomato. I feel like they're off. I have a hell of a coach.
53:01Niki Mahmoodi:They all play for each other.
53:03Kyle Hagge:All right, Kyle. I love that you went into the draft with a plan and executed on that plan. even if it makes me gag a little bit. Annalisa, finish your... You have dragon fruit, pineapple, and pear.
53:14Niki Mahmoodi:I know I said lake at the beginning, but I'm thinking beach, and we're adding guava. Guava! Like a fruit salad.
53:22Kyle Hagge:Now, what is the difference between a guava and a papaya?
53:25Niki Mahmoodi:Guavas taste so much better. Whoa, whoa, whoa. You don't want to piss off the enforcer.
53:29Kyle Hagge:Have you tasted a papaya seed? Those things? No. They're not good. Guava. I don't know if I've ever had a natural guava. I think they're just different. They're just different fruits. Google it. Google it. I am Googling it. They are. They look very different. This episode brought to you by Google. This episode brought to you by Guava. Google it. Yeah, they're just different things.
53:49Annalisa Cochrane:It's like saying what's the difference between a pineapple and a papaya.
53:54Kyle Hagge:Thank you, Neil. And what is? Take us there. Okay. Dragon fruit, pineapple, pear, guava. Nikki, close out yours. Do you want to know who's on your squad so far? Yeah. Pomegranate, grapefruit, and strawberry.
54:05Niki Mahmoodi:solid different taste profiles six squad six squad uh i just pick one left just one uh you know what thought about it i think uh i think it's a beautiful guy he's got a lot of stuff uh
54:21Kyle Hagge:coconut coconut is mr irrelevant is coconut a fruit look it up you guys both have laptops
54:27Niki Mahmoodi:coconut is a tip tap away so you're making me question everything i thought i knew but i'm
54:32Annalisa Cochrane:thing like papayas and guavas are the same and is coconut a fruit now some might think it's a nut you can't you don't call it the fruit coke of fruit okay so the fruit draft is over let's run down everyone's rosters and remember listeners we love not love we need you to weigh in because obviously we can't solve this ourselves about who won i think i know who the clear winner is give everyone's teams give everyone's teams i know okay nikki uh is helming a squad with pomegranate grapefruit strawberry and coconut kind of like the uh mavericks uh mavericks gm there what's his name nico nico harrison former former nico harrison yeah very nico harrison right there uh then we have annalisa dragon fruit pineapple pear and guava i'm not glad it started really
55:19Niki Mahmoodi:rough but then i brought it back right yeah kyle with perhaps the most well-rounded roster
55:27Annalisa Cochrane:imaginable. We've got the Honeycrisp Apple, the Banana, the Papaya, and the Tomato. Come on, America's team. America's team. Toby, Mango, Raspberry, Blackberry, Watermelon. Could have all been number one. That's the Italy. Just choosing Alabama or Georgia or LSU players nonstop. We're going to dominate. My team, obviously love it, Peach, Cherry, Blueberry, Lime.
55:53Kyle Hagge:That's pretty good. Yours does sound like a Sonic refresher. It sounds like a Sonic refresher. So if that's your style.
56:00Niki Mahmoodi:They all kind of taste the same, though. You know? When you put them together, I don't feel like there's nothing exciting.
56:07Kyle Hagge:Lots of people think that limes and blueberries taste the same. Blueberries are... People are saying. People are literally saying that.
56:14Annalisa Cochrane:We need everyone to weigh in to see who won.
56:16Kyle Hagge:All right. That's all the time we have. We will be back to our regularly scheduled programming tomorrow. Please remember to vote in our YouTube, Spotify comments, or on Instagram or via our email. Nikki, Annalisa, Kyle, thank you so much for playing.
56:30Niki Mahmoodi:Thanks for having us. Yes. And I won. That was so fun. That was so fun. That was fun. You guys are good. The fruit draft is such a good idea.
56:41Annalisa Cochrane:It's really fun. Fruit draft took up like three quarters of the entire. I could draft fruits for hours. It was good, yeah. We've already done that. I left, I feel like acai could be good. Oh. We didn't have grape. No one choose grape.
56:53Niki Mahmoodi:I thought about grape. I thought about fig. I already had a point guard. Yeah, I thought about fig. Oh, clementine. I want to do clementine. Ooh, a nectarine.
57:01Kyle Hagge:We didn't do orange. No orange.
57:02Niki Mahmoodi:I did grapefruit close, but I thought about orange.
57:04Annalisa Cochrane:We had so many tropical niece fruits going instead of the, instead of - I like my team a lot. Lychee. But I've never had it. I've only had a single purpose thing. Plum, kiwi, apricots.
57:19Kyle Hagge:Olives? Are those fruits? No, no way. Get out of your savory age.
57:23Niki Mahmoodi:They have a seed?
57:23Kyle Hagge:Whoa. Yeah. They do have a seed.
57:25Niki Mahmoodi:Wait, so coconut is a fruit?
57:26Kyle Hagge:I never looked it up. Oh, yeah. Coconut fruit?
57:29Niki Mahmoodi:I still don't understand the tomato thing, but it's a fruit or something?
57:33Kyle Hagge:It's banantically a droop. What? A type of fruit with fleshy or fibrous. Let's do a droop draft next. Not a droop.
57:42Annalisa Cochrane:Droop draft.
57:42Kyle Hagge:What's a droop? Okay.
57:45Annalisa Cochrane:You guys were great. We had so many good bits. That was so fun.
57:47Niki Mahmoodi:Very fun. You crushed the actual trivia portion. Yeah. I feel ashamed that my best one was ice cream. That was sick. It's pretty funny. The Letterboxd reviews, that was sick. Amazing. How you put that together. Bong hit? Yeah. You got to know the Letterboxd game. Everyone's trying to be on the trivia podcast with their reviews. Once you realize that, it's all clear.
58:12Kyle Hagge:We got to film our news.
58:14Annalisa Cochrane:Yeah, we got to do it. You guys are good. You guys are free. Thank you all. out there.
58:18Niki Mahmoodi:Oh, wow. That was fun. Fun competing.
58:20Annalisa Cochrane:See you on the outside.
58:21Niki Mahmoodi:I'm used to the heat, too. Oh, crap.
58:25Annalisa Cochrane:Toby, did you take the elevator to our floor this morning? I did.
58:28Kyle Hagge:You could say I was elevated here. Ever heard of elevated travel rewards? Are you talking about the Capital One Venture X business card that offers double miles on every purchase?
58:38Annalisa Cochrane:You know it. The founders of Unfiltered Hospitality know it, too. They use their Capital One Venture X business card to scale their team and their business.
58:46Kyle Hagge:Is it true that you can earn an early spend bonus, a$300 annual travel credit, and a 10 ,000 mile anniversary bonus?
