In short
The hosts swap travel and media stories, then focus on Brooklyn Beckham’s public fallout with his parents (David and Victoria) after his wedding to Nicola Peltz and a later “seven-page statement” accusing them of performative, inauthentic behavior.
Guest backgrounds
No guests appear in this episode. Hosts are Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally.
Key claims
Vogue and Jo debate whether Brooklyn’s accusations are justified, whether he’s being influenced (they mention ChatGPT-style “agreeable” thinking), and whether family cutoffs are immature. They also discuss Heated Rivalry (gay ice hockey drama) and Enoch Burke’s ongoing school controversy.
Notable examples
Morocco trip mishaps (cold weather, “cover your ankles” rule), Heated Rivalry sex scenes and a crying ice-rink moment (spoiler), and Brooklyn/ Nicola wedding rumors (dress planning, fired wedding planners, unfollowing/blocking, David’s trademark dispute).

0:15Vogue Williams:Hello and welcome to My Therapist Goes With Me with me, Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally and we are Together in Studio.
0:23Joanne McNally:We're Together in Studio. Yeah. Now, if anyone's looking at this, my neck is a different colour to my face because I got the wrong time for the podcast and I've just thrown, I've just splattered a load of foundation.
0:31Vogue Williams:That's my foundation.
0:32Joanne McNally:Yeah, splattered. I've just got to spray a load of foundation on my face. I have to say to you, did you see the story that went viral about the American influencer and an Irish guy slipped into her DMs and she fell in love with them and moved to Ireland to set up her life with them? No. They were doing Morning Ireland and all. They did loads of press around it. And she's just come out to say he's been cheating on her. Oh, no. I'm not laughing at the situation. I'm just laughing at the rigmarole and the romantic story. and everyone was like it was such a lovely story. We're going on holidays. We're going on holidays.
1:04Joanne McNally:We're going on a team building exercise. Jo, sorry you... We're going on holidays.
1:09Vogue Williams:When you use the word team it sort of makes it sound like...
1:12Joanne McNally:You're going. Jo, there's no I in team, okay? This isn't about you. Yeah, because you're not... So it's team but it's not...
1:18Vogue Williams:There is a V and a J.
1:21Joanne McNally:You can come.
1:22Vogue Williams:You've got two small kids and a dog at home.
1:24Joanne McNally:This is the great thing about inviting Jo because you know he can't go.
1:27Vogue Williams:You can come. just feels a bit like an afterthought but just sure it's fine you can come we've invited you now Joanne and I decided Joanne said last night listen I'm desperate to go on holidays I'll even go I actually have to get the message how that was like
1:41Joanne McNally:I said I'll even go with you and your family can I say that
1:44Vogue Williams:just the way you said it where is it let's plan something I'm willing to go with your family like a side car It's just rather interesting. Like a sidecar. And I said, no, they're not coming.
2:03Joanne McNally:Yeah, I was on a plane coming home from my scuba trip in Morocco where it just rained all the time. And it was freezing. And it was absolutely freezing cold. So before the... This was supposed to be a sun holiday. This was, though, you know, this was for my annual thirst trap. Yeah. I did an annual thirst trap in Cape Town and I dined off it for the whole year. And it's time to do another thirst trap. Now, I did enjoy myself a bit over Christmas. I'm not in the same shape I was. It doesn't matter. You can post. I put the abs on in AI and post or whatever. Yeah. I can get a digital guide to put the abs on.
2:33Joanne McNally:But I was packing. I was getting my bikinis ready and the people were messaging. They're like, it's freezing. I just didn't. I never thought Morocco got cold. Me neither. It's in Africa. People were like, bring a hot water bottle. What? Someone was like, bring a fleece, bring mittens, bring a hat. Did you pack properly? Because you're fine with it. I did. Okay, that's good. I bought a big jacket, which I really needed. Anyway, and then. You need a puffer? I bought a puffer. Oh my God. And Vogue, unlike yourself, I can't do thirst traps in bad weather. I have to be a little more demure. You can get away with it.
3:03Joanne McNally:Listen, I do it in the snow. Exactly. I need more of a creative arc. I need a journey. It needs to be more authentic. If I'm just in my bikini in the snow, people don't think I'm having a nervous breakdown.
3:13Vogue Williams:I would use the rain as a prop. You know what I mean? I would say, isn't this funny? You would. I'm in the rain. Yeah, I would.
3:17Joanne McNally:Yeah, you'd be dancing in the rain and be sexy and attractive.
3:19Vogue Williams:No, not sexy and attractive. Just trying to sell tan, really. Yeah. But you get away with the beep beeps. you get away with the snowy beep beeps why don't you just hang your anxious preoccupied bags off your nipples and say I'm doing it for marketing the two micros
3:33Joanne McNally:two of the micro bags on each nipple it's not a bad idea actually sell the new fanny packs
3:40Vogue Williams:yeah don't have bikini bottoms on just have a fanny pack
3:43Joanne McNally:so I was desperately disappointed so I know the lads who follow me are going to be sorry guys you're going to have to wait for the annual third drop
3:51Vogue Williams:there is no wankwank material this month this month is dry I'm taking her away we're going to Greece dry traps we're not going to now Greece is cold now we're not going there until like May
4:01Joanne McNally:unless I can feed you up you're not going anywhere in a bikini with you for a thirst trap I'll be the photographer no yeah fine I'm like you can't squat for a month before you come away with me Vogue if there isn't a bit of cellulite I'm not going
4:15Vogue Williams:there is don't worry it's always there I'll go under I'll go under those Zara lights Zara lights? the lights in the dressing room there are offensive.
4:24Joanne McNally:Where else was I? Hairdresser lights always the worst. You're like, God, I knew I was ugly but I didn't think I was that ugly. Oh,
4:29Vogue Williams:and then when you get your hair painted to your head, you're like, I am monstrous. And all the tinfoil
4:34Joanne McNally:and all, and you look like Joe. Jesus. Joe, what's his man? Joke. Jim Corr. Do you know what? I was actually, I was in the hairdressers the other day. I went in and got a violently good blow-drying brown sugar in Dublin. Shout out to them. But I was chatting to somebody whose name I will not say just in case she doesn't want to be known that she's having these conversations we got into a bit of conspiracy chat and she was like you like conspiracy I said I do I think more fact finder is what I like to call myself rather than conspiracy theorist I said you know I like a light one like a fun one I'm not into like the kind of moon landing was a film set and she said well actually she said Buzz Aldrin has come out to say he never went
5:18Vogue Williams:Buzz Aldrin did come out to say he never went I meant to look into the moon landing thing. He did. He said, Buzz Aldrin came in. Spencer was interviewing an astronaut, as you do on his podcast. Yeah. And he was interviewing an astronaut and he asked the astronaut about Buzz Aldrin's comments because Buzz Aldrin had just come out. Your man got really pissed off and was like, that's really stupid. Why would you ask a question like that? It's like, Buzz Aldrin literally said he didn't land on the moon. Yeah.
5:47Joanne McNally:That's a really genuine question. You can't get annoyed about that.
5:50Vogue Williams:Isn't that true, Jo? I got a headline here from Reuters in 2022. Fact check. Buzz Aldrin interview about moon landing is not proof that it was faked. No, it's not proof, but Buzz Aldrin did say it and he was on the moon. He was referring to animations used by broadcasters at the time in their coverage of the moon landing intercut with real footage. The moon landing did take place and men did walk on the moon. I mean, you just don't know. It's the AI stuff. Did you see that thing about Russia being under all that snow? That wasn't real. Did you see that this week? all the sky rises all the high rises buildings sorry were all under all the snow up to like the 71st floor and I was like what?
6:28Vogue Williams:Yeah but it wasn't true I just found out today Tell me about Morocco So
6:32Joanne McNally:the men Gorgeous When I say it is wall to wall knockouts Really? They're just flat they are I was aghast I was taken aback and when I say I was vibing one taxi driver I was like I'm willing to convert to Islam so I bought the Quran off Amazon I'll get the audible version to go it says it's 175 hours 175 hours? I'll do a lot of translate a lot of Google Translate so I'm not getting the nails put on for a while because I'm going to be flat out trying to translate the Quran then I'm going to go back and I'm going to try and marry that taxi driver and live a very happy life
7:04Vogue Williams:oh my god
7:06Joanne McNally:were they into you? a hundred percent really?
7:11Vogue Williams:well
7:12Joanne McNally:I was paying him so I don't know
7:15Vogue Williams:he was mad mad about me
Read the full transcript
7:18Joanne McNally:let me hang on I want to Google Moroccan men gorgeous one of them had me dressed he put the scarf on me and all stop oh my god he was really into it well that was a different guy that was a guy in the market again he was trying to sell me something oh my god did you not see me Google Moroccan men here what the hell I know
7:33Vogue Williams:we are robbed over here we're in danger of generalising a little bit I'm sure there's Moroccan mingers it's positive racism Jo there is a few Moroccan mingers but it's mainly top teners I'm telling you now
7:44Joanne McNally:even like we went to a farmhouse fucking hell look at him Jesus Christ was that the taxi driver? Similar vibes Oh my No one can see but I think she's googled a perfume model Yes but he's Moroccan There you go
8:00Vogue Williams:Wall to wall rides I used to always say Iranians were the hottest nation but the Moroccans are really coming up fast here Well they're coming up fast It just goes to show Moroccan women hang on just to be equal Oh my god it'd be tough tough in Morocco
8:19Joanne McNally:it would be they'd like something
8:21Vogue Williams:a bit different though which would be nice because maybe they're used to those rides
8:24Joanne McNally:yeah well I had my ankles out so I think that was the big interest I was getting a lot of attention for having the ankles out you're not allowed to have your ankles out really? I'm not allowed
8:32Vogue Williams:to have my ankles out but that's a personal choice you'd fly over there you finally get to cover up those hideous ankles which have been holding you back for years tell us about Morocco the first trip you've ever been on that actually and even though you paid for it you could have actually gone on that trip for free as a press trip because you did good pictures for the first time.
8:50Joanne McNally:I know, I did. I did good footage. I know. I'm in my bougie era. We stayed in really... I went with two friends who you know as well. Who booked us? When I say... It was like an ongoing joke. I was like, what's happening now? I hadn't a clue.
9:05Vogue Williams:Oh, Andrea's in charge of all that.
9:06Joanne McNally:Andrea. We've a mutual friend, Andrea Horne, who owns Tropical Popcorn now by in Dublin. She is... When I say, I'm type B anyway, but when someone else takes the lead, my God, do I take the foot off the gas. Oh my God,
9:17Vogue Williams:I would give her my passport in the airport and everything
9:19Joanne McNally:if I was travelling with Andrea. Well she actually asked me at one point where's your passport and I looked at her and I went you have it don't you and she goes
9:25Vogue Williams:I went to New York with her before and she did all that stuff.
9:28Joanne McNally:It was insane. She is like a machine. She is like a logistics officer. I literally was like what are we doing now where are we going? You didn't book that place. Not at all. I hadn't a clue where I was going. I was just sitting in the back of a taxi smiling flirting with the driver. Been driven around Morocco I hadn't a clue. We got out, we ate we got back in. But we were actually trying not to swear because Andrea had done a bit of research about the trip. She was like, she was the one who was like, cover your ankles, you whore. So she was like, don't swear. Behave yourself, basically. I mean,
9:57Vogue Williams:I think it's rude to be swearing at anyone's company. I read this thing about the Japanese. I saw, actually I saw it on Instagram. And this guy said, when you're in Japan, you're not allowed to walk around eating. So like, if you buy something off a street vendor, you have to stand there and eat it. You can't just leave and walk because it's viewed as really rude. Interesting. Yeah.
10:14Joanne McNally:Japan has a lot of rules, I feel. I'm desperate to go. I'd love to go. We should do a show there and then we can write it off.
10:19Vogue Williams:Yeah, we should do it. We'll just start doing a show. We want to write stuff off.
10:22Joanne McNally:Yeah, how do we write stuff off? I don't even know what that means, but let's do it. I always... What are you doing, Joanne? I'm writing it off.
10:30Vogue Williams:I can't write anything off. Neil looks after everything. He's like, what's this? I'm like, Neil, that's a general expense. Write it off, Neil. God.
10:37Joanne McNally:Write it off. And then no one knows anything about it. No, go get the kids' school fees.
10:40Vogue Williams:Write it off. They were on the ferry ad. I was vlogging at the school.
10:45Joanne McNally:write it off it's a business expense a lot of time sitting in the rain in Morocco there was some tensions over Uno I think you know there was a lot of time sitting in the yeah great game
11:11Vogue Williams:I watched Heated Rivalry Joanne text me text me and she said you have to watch it now and I said but I don't have my skies down I've just moved out she goes you have to get the Now TV app and I was like I'm not getting that app and then I realised it was a tenner for the month and I could probably afford to get the app you can write it off I have I have written that off sent on to Neil with the receipt and she insisted that I watch it Heated Rivalry
11:35Joanne McNally:which just for anyone who hasn't watched it for anyone who's been living under a rock it is a TV show based on a book about some gay ice hockey players
11:43Vogue Williams:and it is everything you would expect and work. Now I was watching it on the plane and I had to turn my phone away from people because it is like the sex scenes I don't like sex noises when they're not coming from me.
11:56Joanne McNally:Yeah, I know. You're like you'd rather everyone else stay silent. And you just take to the stage. Quiet. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
12:08Vogue Williams:But the noises are so intense and it's like Yeah, yeah, yeah.
12:14Joanne McNally:there it's only six episodes there's going to be a second season yes because the way it finished left it wide open it's basically how kind of it's all about gay athletes and how a lot of them they can't come out and then these but what it was lovely about it was that the sex in it was quite meaningful I was like I'm learning romance from two gay ice hockey players this was not my bingo card but I've never seen
12:37Vogue Williams:such full on
12:38Joanne McNally:gay sex scenes yeah they were brilliant they were brilliant yeah I'd say they had a lot of intimacy coordinators and stuff. But then I googled obviously the actors and they're so shy. Your man, the Russian guy, he's so camp in real life. But they haven't come out
12:51Vogue Williams:and said if they're gay or straight. Ah, Jesus. I know, but they haven't. They said it doesn't matter what our sexuality is. I googled all of them. Yeah, but your man,
12:59Joanne McNally:Hunter, is... Bi. Bi, yes. That scene where his partner comes down. This is a spoiler, this is a spoiler, so if you're going to listen, don't listen to this. I'm always getting rinse for spoiling things. He calls his partner down to the ice rink. I rewound it and I cried Jo I'm not ashamed to say I cried my eyes got wet nothing fell down the cheeks but the eyes got wet
13:17Vogue Williams:I had foliage
13:18Joanne McNally:of yeah I was just like this is so nice
13:21Vogue Williams:honestly and then I got right back into a sex scene and I was like Jesus Christ I don't need the VPN anymore I turned it off I've got I've got heated right away it's brilliant the Russian fella's arse is that not the best arse like that's my dream ass for myself yeah yeah
13:39Joanne McNally:yeah well I guess and he's not even a top I don't know he's not even a bottom he's a top doesn't even need a bit of ours I was trying to figure out
13:45Vogue Williams:some of the times I was trying to figure out were they swapping
13:48Joanne McNally:I don't I know I think the Russian is very much the top he was top fives and then the other guy is a bit more demure he's the bottom because remember when the other guy tried to go out with a woman and she was like the sex is lacking and he goes yeah I prefer to be the whole rather than the peg yeah yeah oh yeah so he was a bottom oh it's so good made me want to be a gay man well so I was thinking about this because I was like am I a gay man now and apparently it's huge with women right there's this women are but we're not we're not gay men what we are is we're straight women we're very attracted to the male physique and the sex is hot the sex is really hot and they're hot and it's a love story they're falling in love yeah yeah you know but anyway women are going in their droves to it it's absolutely huge they've blown up
14:32Vogue Williams:I know I cannot wait for another season I saw that did you see that Waterford whispers about it there's this really funny Instagram page Waterford whispers and it was like Enoch Burke to just watch Cheated rivalry Because it might give him Something else to do
14:44Joanne McNally:He is so odd Do you know Enoch Burke? Fucking hell Well Oh my I was saying The only thing that I was saying The child in the middle Of the whole controversy Is probably Graduated and a grandparent At this stage And he's still turning up The school gates And sending himself Back to prison every weekend He is absolutely He is unwell That man Do you know that he Yeah it's all I mean he's so persistent Yeah But do you know he's still getting a full salary from the Department of Education oh yeah yeah Enoch Burke there was an issue in an Irish school years ago where the headmaster told Enoch Burke that there was a child at the school who was non-binary and wanted to be referred to as they the child wasn't even in Enoch's class and Enoch said no not doing it I'm not calling the child they or them and of course you know the way these things kick off and he took a massive stand when it actually like he didn't need it wasn't necessary at all it's not appropriate no but he was saying it was then it became about his religious rights and all this jazz and then he just started he was let go or he was suspended I think for acting the bollocks and this was years ago and he's been turning up to the school he's been turning up to the school relentlessly ever since and getting arrested repeatedly let it go Enoch even Jesus has moved on I mean
15:58Vogue Williams:but you have to that level of persistence there's nothing I care about enough to have to I know Jesus Christ leave them alone I know you're looking like a creep hanging out around the school go home
16:09Joanne McNally:and it's family and all I mean they need to Go home and watch Heated Rivalry I'll tell you and his family are protesting with them all the time now and what I will say to that family is if you're going to be on TV get a stylist the style is lacking the style is lacking
16:22Vogue Williams:well I went back to Ireland to watch Amber on Dancing with the Stars Tell me everything She's a better dancer than me
16:28Joanne McNally:I said to Vogue I said I'm going to text Amber and say that she's done a really good job
16:33Vogue Williams:She's setting up Sky in my room for you I have been in that house for so long and I said to Joanne I said Joanne you can go in a you can stay in my house when you're home for junior shows and I was like oh I'll set up Sky for her I'm like you little bitch I've been in that room for two years you've never set up Sky for me because I was wondering
16:50Joanne McNally:do you know what this is this is Amber trying to keep me in my room that's exactly what that is
16:56Vogue Williams:because I was like oh that's so not like it's not because then she was like does she want the apartment because there's a little apartment downstairs and I was like I don't know I'll ask her I haven't really thought about this
17:04Joanne McNally:thanks Amber I can't wait to go and hang out with Amber but I said to Vogue I was like I'm going to text Amber and say congratulations she did a really good job because I got quite emotional watching her now I had had a bottle of wine and you were like she wouldn't appreciate the lie the first but she's on a journey
17:21Vogue Williams:I know the first week she was shite she was like the tin man she wasn't good and then she did quite well the second week this week she didn't do as well as the week before but I loved her dance this week I thought she was absolutely brilliant and she's getting up in front because I was in the audience this week and there's about 200 people in the audience and she's getting up and she's doing it in front of everyone and I just thought it was so amazing and she's also still doing her full time job. I know. She's doing the pod and then she's doing that. She's like non-stop. Yeah. She's hustling. She's on the climb.
17:47Vogue Williams:She's on the make. She is on a journey. I think she's going to do quite well. She's really good at the start. She'd be gone. I think people just like everyone to go on a journey though. If you're shit and you start getting better and she's making a real effort. So now I did. I told her I'd go back again but you know yourself sitting in an audience and I had to stand up. Did they keep panning to you? I had to stand up about 11 times clapping for people. No it must have been more actually because there was 11 people about 15 times I had to keep standing up and I know that sounds ridiculous but I was wrecked
18:12Joanne McNally:yeah 15 stands is a lot
18:13Vogue Williams:15 stands and like loads of claps they hide you it's a lot of travel I know it was I was bloody wrecked and then I was like I'll come to the next one if you're still in that one I'll come to that one and now I'm like fuck it
18:24Joanne McNally:if you've ever been to a TV record there's a lot of clapping there's a lot of clapping
18:30Vogue Williams:crazy and now what I will say is it was a very it was a quick enough record obviously because it's a live show. And it was Jennifer and Laura. Yeah, I just went home. Yeah, of course. I didn't even wait for Amber to get out of her dress. I was like, see you later. Because I had Gina and Alza and stuff with me. Gina flew over with me. Gina flew over with me. I got to the airport. I text her 20 to 8 in the morning when I left my house in Battersea and I was like, what are you doing? She's like, I'm sitting having a coffee and a cross on in the airport. And I was like, it's fucking early air flights at 10 to 10.
19:00Vogue Williams:And I got to the airport. She had gotten up at four in the morning. Why? And she got to the airport at seven. But you know what people get like, like my mom is a weirdo. I was like, Gina, you've been sitting here since 7am. And she's like, yeah, I feel much better about that.
19:15Joanne McNally:Yeah, she's exactly like Pat. I was like, Pat, you could literally train to be a pilot the amount of time that you're, the amount of head time you're in the airport. You could literally train and fly the plane yourself. She's the exact same. She can't relax until she's in the airport. Because we travel a lot, we're, like I'm kind of running in as they're pulling up the planks.
19:33Vogue Williams:Oh, me too. I'm just like the very last thing. I also love airport people watching by the way is the best thing in the whole entire world yeah because obviously I had loads of time because I was sitting there with Gina and then of course she put a fucking bag in for two nights so I was like god now I have to make your epoxy bag
19:46Joanne McNally:listen to this because we are going to get on to the Brooklyn Beckham drama in a second get okay one of the girls on the trip Laura and Andrea and myself yeah guess how much my bag weighed 22 kilos up
20:01Vogue Williams:how many nights so you'll be on standard how many nights so you have to pay excess baggage not 32 32 oh my god
20:09Joanne McNally:guess how much Laura's bag weighed 8 yeah 9.3 I was like what are you how how so mine was so heavy we had to get I had to help the taxi man get it in 32 what was that
20:25Vogue Williams:yeah
20:26Joanne McNally:I'm insane come on
20:27Vogue Williams:yeah but you'd rather just I did that in Spain Jane Svenny's mum had a carry on and I had this massive bag and then by the end of it I realised I'd forgot bikinis I'd forgot everything Jane had literally everything I was like it's like this just endless sack of stuff being pulled out
20:42Joanne McNally:Yeah I'm terrible I went to Paris Court Hotel for one night 20 kgs What? I don't know how I do it I think I'm so bad at decision making that I can't risk not packing I've started to look
20:55Vogue Williams:at my stuff though and I'm like I don't care and I know I'm happy too much and I'm like I don't care it makes me happy Hi guys I'm Louisa Zisman And I'm Anna Williamson. 21:32Vogue Williams:Do you know what we missed again? Two nights in a row. The Northern Lights. We miss them again. I think they're just like, I'm not that concerned anymore because they were around last year. They'll be back next year probably. Yeah, those things are always around. Okay. My moment. Our moment. Has come. I know it was getting weird how much I was obsessed with it, but I don't want to say I told you so, but I told you so. And everyone is now obsessed.
22:02Joanne McNally:She hasn't said, she still hasn't said what she's talking about. I am getting into it.
22:04Vogue Williams:It has brought us together like COVID. Someone texted me that. It's brought us, it's brought the world together like COVID.
22:11Joanne McNally:It's like the Coldplay couple. That really brought us together as well.
22:15Vogue Williams:Brooklyn, Beckham, Mike, Drop. Do we need to explain the backstory? I think we do. Just a quick, previous one. Okay, a quick, a quick synopsis of the backstory. The Beckhams, there has been talk of a fallout, a rift between the Beckhams. Brooklyn Beckham hasn't been seen with his parents. He didn't go to his dad's 50th. He didn't go to his mom's show. he didn't go to his dad's knighthood. Was he knighted? He didn't go to his dad's knighthood. And there was talk for a rift. Obviously, nothing was said. Then his brother came out and said that the press said that Victoria and David had unfollowed Brooklyn.
22:49Vogue Williams:But what actually came out is Brother Cruz said that actually he blocked his mom and his dad.
22:54Joanne McNally:Then it came out... I have to intervene and say there was stories around when he married... Yes. So it started from that far back. Nicola married a woman called Nicola. Sorry. Brooklyn married a woman called Nicola Peltz. We're just so excited. Who is, Nicola Peltz is the daughter of the Wendy Burger man. Is that who he is? He owns Wendy's. From a billion, Wendy's is good in fairness. Do you know how much, so Brooklyn Beckham has married into money and I think the Beckhams were not expecting the prenup to go the other way. Do you know what I mean? I think they were thought that whoever Brooklyn married that they were going to be the royalty and they're not.
23:26Joanne McNally:And the Beckhams are an amazing brand, but the Wendy Burgers, they're like old money. Do you know what I mean?
23:31Vogue Williams:I did not know it was Wendy's Burger. so like a lot of Wendy's yeah Wendy's is delicious they're everywhere in the States have you ever had a hash brown in there
23:39Joanne McNally:do you know how much Daddy Wendy's worth so Daddy Wendy Daddy Wendy
23:44Vogue Williams:sorry I call my friends all call vaginas Wendy's it's just so weird that you're saying it all the time yeah we say Wendy
23:49Joanne McNally:it's kind of cute so Daddy Wendy is is 83 okay so Brooklyn's going to be coming into a lot of money very soon okay and I'm not wishing is he looking well he looks good for it he looks kind of he looks kind of old school Italian tanned man and Nicola's mother is in her 70s their house alone is worth 76 million pounds Jesus Christ like even I don't know what the Beckhams are worth but like the Beckhams are scum compared to these
24:21Vogue Williams:I remember thinking he had a lot of kids though and it concerned me for the sharing of the wealth there was a lot of kids I think he has can you see how many kids he has I mean she's still going to get a fair wedge but I was just thinking that would be annoying is she the only one? she couldn't be the only one I don't think so I thought he had a lot of kids maybe I'm wrong but I remember feeling like
24:38Joanne McNally:there's still enough to go around
24:40Vogue Williams:yeah but I know I'd still rather the bill
24:45Joanne McNally:you'd be assassinating them all
24:46Vogue Williams:yeah I'd be like bye they will be poisoned what's that what's that how to kill your family how to kill your family yeah oh no she's got siblings yeah see now Nicola Peltz Brad Peltz Will Peltz I think there's three of them oh yeah she was Yeah, that's doable. I thought there was more. That's fine.
25:03Joanne McNally:But Brooklyn, do you know, Brooklyn was only born in 1999. He's 26 years of age. She is very, very young. She is 30.
25:13Vogue Williams:I already got married when I was 26 the first time. Did you? God, you looked,
25:18Joanne McNally:you looked older. Thank you. I meant you felt older at the time.
25:24Vogue Williams:Oh no, she's got seven siblings. Oh, you see? There's more. There goes the cash. Divided by seven. How much money does he have?
25:30Joanne McNally:He's a billionaire. But how many bills? I don't know. If it's one bill, the seven. I'm not great with numbers.
25:38Vogue Williams:It's not a lot of bills. One bill? 1.6 bills. Oh, what a... Jeez. Brooklyn, he didn't think this one through at all. Seven kids as well. And he's going to have to look after the wife. Times are tight.
25:47Joanne McNally:Basically nothing. Cost to live in crisis, Nicola. God love her. Jesus Christ, they're going to have to go on the dole. She'll be doing the rail and sail around the place. No playing for her. He's very young. He's married this absolutely beautiful woman. Yeah. And there was rumours of a fallout around the wedding. There was Nicola and Nicola wasn't at the, or sorry, the Beckham parents weren't at the top table. Neither were Nicola's parents though. They had their grannies at the top table.
26:11Vogue Williams:Which I think is a nice touch because you know what? The grannies have no partners. And I was at a wedding where the granny who had lost her husband was sitting on her own. And no one was really talking to her. And I was like, oh, well, I mean, people either side. But you know when the conversation turns and I just kept. Yeah, no, that's horrible. And like I was the other side of the table. so I was trying like you just kind of feel bad so I didn't think there was anything wrong with that
26:31Joanne McNally:no but then Brooklyn yes so then I'm just going to explain for the background then there was there was talk of Victoria not making Nicola's dress there was accusations both sides that she Nicola didn't want to wear the dress or there was suggestions that Posh didn't want to make the dress there was rumours about a dress yeah right but like someone's leaking these stories to the press That was in the New Yorker.
26:59Vogue Williams:Yeah, but there was also, let's not forget the story that came out about their wedding planners. So supposedly they had fired a couple of wedding planners as well and they were painted as being quite difficult to work with. The Peltses. The Peltses. Big time. And Nicola in particular painted quite difficult to work with.
27:15Joanne McNally:Three wedding planners, folks. That's more than you've had and you've had two weddings. Yeah, I know, I know. Three, and they're all suing each other now. I think the Peltses are suing the wedding planners or the wedding planners. There's someone so, they're all suing each other. It's not a good, she said, I hate to say it I hate to say it I hate when women are accused of being difficult because I feel like if a woman asks you to turn right instead of left if she's successful they call her a monster
27:36Vogue Williams:there has been there has been some rumours about her her hairstylist came out and said I saw her hairstylist said she is not a nice she's not a good vibe yeah he said she had spooky vibes which I'm not sure what that means bad vibes bad vibes and spooky vibes but he was saying that she's not nice but then okay here's the thing about which bit have we got to god this has been so exciting
27:53Joanne McNally:so anyway all the rumours blah blah blah everyone's unfollowing each other no one knows what's going on and then
27:58Vogue Williams:and then sorry then Brooklyn basically sent his parents a legal letter to say that they needed to stop talking about him online and it was supposedly Victoria liked a chicken video that Brooklyn had put up and that was the final straw for him and he didn't how dare she what a monster what a horrible mother and then he didn't want her to post or anything about it cut to
28:18Joanne McNally:Brooklyn Beckham who's never worked a day in his life living off the Beckham dollar I don't know has he a GCSE to his name has he done his GCSEs ask that there ask Chachi Beauty has broken well anyway so all this
28:32Vogue Williams:kind of came to a head but like everything had stopped after he did the blocking and all that kind of stuff which felt like really immature behaviour to your parents then he drops an absolute bombshell and releases this like seven page statement where he absolutely tears into his parents a verbal grenade I would call it a digital bomb let me just get the proper points up about it where's my drive now what I will say before we even start and I always say this about people having fights there's one story there's their story and then there's the truth I'm team plush
29:04Joanne McNally:me too I'm sorry her perfume's sensational I don't care if she gave her son a lap dance at his wedding I'm not I'm not I'm not turning on her
29:11Vogue Williams:he absolutely doesn't want to reconcile with his family he said the family's relationships are inauthentic and performative his parents have been trying to yeah yeah hello his parents have been trying to ruin his relationship with Nicola Victoria cancelled her plans to make Nicholas' wedding dress leaving her scrambling at the last minute for a dress. The parents tried to bribe him into signing away the rights to his name. Victoria called Brooklyn evil because the way Brooklyn laid out the wedding seating we spoke about that about the grandparents I think that's a load of shit. What I was saying is
29:42Joanne McNally:like you're not like Victoria Beckham did not get to where she is by being a shrinking violet. No. You have a show pony mother in a show business family. And obviously the Wendy wedding was an opportunity. She obviously felt slighted at the Wendy wedding. She's obviously struggling with the fact that her son is marrying into so much money. I'd say she's a bit insecure about it.
30:07Vogue Williams:I think it's just mothers in general when their son is getting married. I agree. I feel like, so what he said.
30:12Joanne McNally:I can't wait to see you slut dropping at Theodore's wedding.
30:16Vogue Williams:It's a slut drop? I've been kind of string fellas learning my bits. I'm going to be lap dancing at that wedding. Victoria's just humiliated. That's what he said though. Victoria danced inappropriately on me in front of anyone. Sorry, he's making it sound incestuous. He is, yeah.
30:31Joanne McNally:So basically Mark Antony, whose name I have not heard in a very long time, I was so confused. I was like, Mark Antony's back? Wow. He was doing the singing. I thought he was doing a speech. I was very confused. And then in the wedding, apparently he said, Buckland said it was supposed to be the time where he was going to dance with Nicola Peltz. And then he went up and his mother was there and Mark Antony called her the most beautiful woman in the room. And then he said she danced on me inappropriately which does suggest there was a lap dance or some sort of twerking involved.
30:56Vogue Williams:He said she stole the first dance. The thing about it is there's loads of different recollections of this because it was in Vogue magazine and the person writing Vogue magazine there was a first dance and then 11 o 'clock is when Marc Anthony came on and then invited Victoria onto the stage. So does she dress sexy? She's a Spice girl. Of course she danced sexually. I don't think that she's going to be gyrating on her son. they dance that's their thing
31:22Joanne McNally:they're always dancing the Brooklyns what the fuck is wrong the Beckhams they're always dancing the Beckhams I've seen videos of her dancing with Nicola Peltz they're hugging each other and stuff listen I don't feel like
31:34Vogue Williams:any of it makes sense but let's go back you basically accused your mother of coming on to you like what are you doing just but like even the wedding dress drama it took Valentino by the way talk about he's dead yeah but no one knows Valentino's dead because Brooklyn released this bombshell on the day of his death. I'd be absolutely, well, I mean, he's not going to know because he's dead. He'd be human, yeah. But I'd be raging that you stole my dead day.
31:58Joanne McNally:Yeah, I know. Especially that they were so close. It's a really nice break from World War III though, isn't it? Trump is thrilled. He's like, this is my way in. No one would even notice. No one's watching. Like the way it's infiltrated. Like Candace Owens is talking about it. Do you know her? I know. She's like this right-wing political commentator. She's the one who keeps accusing Bridget McCrone of being a man. She's, I mean, she's kind of insane, she's talking about she's talking about it I want there's a Guardian podcast called Today in Focus that I listen to I listen to it sometimes just checking what's going on in the world they did an episode about Brooklyn Beckham it's usually about like Iran or whatever do you know what I mean
32:35Vogue Williams:it's just I did it on Lorraine today that was our chat yeah but I so there's so many conflicting stories because the thing I told you about DJ Fat Tony DJ Fat Tony was a DJ at the wedding and he is obviously you'll probably know him if you live over here and his husband commented I was at the wedding and what Brooklyn is saying is true and then he quickly deleted it but it went everywhere so I mean firstly ungrateful wedding guest and secondly you will not be invited to any well you can go to the listen I'm just team Beckham TJ Vatswani and not just because I want to be part of their family
33:10Joanne McNally:I just think if my if my partner or husband I'm not sure if they're married got stuck their nose in in the Beckham controversy online when they were at the wedding I wouldn't be too happy I'd say DJ Fat Tony's I mean I just find Is everyone drunk online is that what's happening is Beckham when I saw Brooklyn's post
33:27Vogue Williams:I think everyone just got so excited when they saw it because it was just like oh my god Was he drunk
33:32Joanne McNally:did he wake up and not remember did he wake up and think with all the traction he's like oh that cat video is doing really well and then realised he'd done this kind of outpouring
33:38Vogue Williams:I don't think he realised it would like catch on as quickly as it did but everyone is looking for any kind of truth now the only people who have this video are Brooklyn and Nicola so if you really but I think Brooklyn is going to it's like when you just drop a bomb in a room and you leg it I think he's going to do that I don't think the Beckhams are going to come back and say anything because I think if they put out any statement it will be something like the door is always open
34:01Joanne McNally:Brooklyn so David has said something about it it wasn't really about that
34:05Vogue Williams:it was a very general question
34:08Joanne McNally:in an interview so I think it was it's kind of being read as him saying he's like kids online basically kids make mistakes and you have to let them make their mistakes
34:16Vogue Williams:yeah but I mean I just it's like it's just it's like Prince Harry whatever is going on in your life with your family you do not need to completely annihilate him like he did imagine your little sister and all Harper well supposedly he doesn't speak to any of them he speaks to his grandparents it's such a shame because like that's your parents that's your family you should like you only get one family and yes you're married to her and obviously like he did say that like he had such bad anxiety growing up overwhelming and since he stepped away from the Beckhams the anxiety is gone if you have anxiety it doesn't go away anxiety is something that gets managed so you can't blame all of your life's anxiety on being part of Bran Beckham when you enjoyed being part of Bran Beckham for such a long time he was like
35:00Joanne McNally:I was forced to turn up to family events and smile yeah I'm doing that with no inheritance do you know what I mean I'm doing that for free Brooklyn at least you're going to good places for fuck's sake I know I'm going to christenings and there's not a penny to be had in the family I have to go sit in a church for an hour and a half at their poxy wedding I mean I do understand if I married Mr Nando it probably would give me a deluded sense of importance and confidence or one of the five guys why don't I marry one of the five guys
35:31Joanne McNally:FYI I have shows to sell I have Brighton Liverpool Manchester and Leeds also have Australian dates Perth, Sydney Melbourne and Brisbane
35:39Vogue Williams:also the three arena on the 12th of December of this year
35:43Joanne McNally:this year in Vogue no this year we'll be there I will be performing
35:47Vogue Williams:I will be her opening. Can I also say that this was very much thought through and I'd say that the Beckhams knew that this was coming. There's no way they didn't know this was coming. Do you reckon? Yeah, 100 % they would know. And with the trademark thing, by the way, remember he said that they tried to get me to remove my name from the trademark. The thing behind that, everyone's deep diving into it. David Beckham trademarked his name in 2000. Victoria Beckham, 2002. They trademarked their children's names in 2017 only to protect them. and then it was around they sold half of their ventures it's DV Ventures or something it's called for 200 million and to protect their children from them using their name because it's not just owned by them now that's why they did it not because they didn't want Brooklyn using the name.
36:30Joanne McNally:He's not really like Brooklyn you really haven't thought this through this is a massive mistake.
36:36Vogue Williams:And like how do you come like you can kind of see Prince Harry kind of a little sniffing around isn't he? He's crawling around Prince Harry sniffing around a little bit isn't he?
36:45Joanne McNally:yeah bye
36:47Vogue Williams:fancy seeing you here how do you go how do you just hang out like because fair enough the parents will probably be able to like David and Victoria will probably be able to forgive him but if I was his brother or sister I'd be like you are he's young he is young you can't blame it on his age he's young and moneyed
37:01Joanne McNally:and also he could be getting influenced he's young and moneyed and he's spoilt really to be honest and like they in fairness they've supported all his weird crafts like his sandwiches and his photography and to rinse your mouth like I fucking imagine I did that to Pat
37:16Vogue Williams:she would drag you by the ears into the house drag you by the ears she'd be over
37:21Joanne McNally:to the Wendy house in minutes she'd have me out she'd spank me in the garden I feel very sorry for everyone involved
37:28Vogue Williams:I know but I actually do you know what someone commented on my Instagram post that I did and they were like oh god it's just like Megan those women turning these men and it's like no no no no these are grown up men and they're making their own decisions you cannot just blame the family but I'd say I'd say she did want him to stick up for her.
37:45Joanne McNally:Well she so apparently she went out with one of the Hadids the boy and when she was going out with him he didn't speak to his family either. Stop. So I don't know what she's doing. And I do think she I think he was I think he's quite he's probably quite suggestible. I mean she's absolutely stunning. She's insanely wealthy. Like he's done very well. And he's a good he's a catch too. He has lost track of himself. He has lost the run of himself completely. And his complaints are not family cutting off worthy complaints. This is that cut culture I'm telling you about. Everyone's cutting off their families.
38:19Vogue Williams:It's just babyish bullshit. Like, hop on. This is literally like, just get an absolute grip and just get a hold of yourself. It just, it stinks of just spoiled brat.
38:33Joanne McNally:That's one of those things you're like, oh, I'm so glad. My notes section is full of shit I never posted and every morning I wake up grateful. Do you know what I mean? You feel so much better. You're like, oh my God, thank God I didn't post that. What was I thinking? Or thank God I didn't send that text. Do you know what I mean? Now, I don't mind. I do like, sometimes I will have a glass of wine and send a couple of awkward emails that I've been putting off. But I don't know how much wine he had to make himself do that. Has his following gone up? A goblet, a goblet of wine.
39:00Vogue Williams:Yeah, have they gone up? He's got 15 million. That's stag party vibes. It's 15 million. What? And I mean, what an opportunity waste. I saw Josh Whittakam posting about it. And he was like, Brooklyn must be thinking, Jesus I really should have main page this
39:16Joanne McNally:I thought someone someone was saying about posh dancing they're like well at least she didn't sing which I thought was unfair because I am team posh
39:24Vogue Williams:I sent that one to you today where someone was like David was really upset when I read Brooklyn's statement to him because that's funny there is some very good internet memes but I don't I love Victoria Beckham and she just had that I feel sorry for them I'm like, can you imagine how sad they are as parents sitting at home being like, I can't believe he did that to us.
39:47Joanne McNally:I know you think you're happy. He was their firstborn. You have a kid. You pay for everything. You raise them right. They have a lovely life. And then they cut you off publicly. Like it's kind of worst case scenario, really.
39:59Vogue Williams:I feel like sometimes I think and I'm a strong advocate for therapy. I think sometimes maybe like you can speak to a therapist for so long that they can kind of turn you against people sometimes and they can make you think of things that like you're going through a situation so much that they're kind of planting things in your head I just don't know I don't know if it's
40:19Joanne McNally:I think this is do you know what this reeks of him leaning a bit too heavy on ChatGBT ChatGBT is very agreeable like I've asked him questions that it should not agree to and it's like yeah sure you should totally do that thing ChatGBT
40:31Vogue Williams:has Joanne McNally ever looked better no thank you
40:33Joanne McNally:yeah that's the kind of it's kind of people pleasing I feel like a real therapist would never suggest someone cuts off their family I mean it's just but he'll regret that
40:42Vogue Williams:there's no way he won't regret that because like when he has kids and stuff like that and not being able like I keep going back to Christmas because their Christmas just looks so perfect in that house of theirs and I'm like having their little kid running around with like his nice family and all that he's talking about
40:56Joanne McNally:this performative thing right now Brooklyn I don't know if you I don't know if you know this but every family is performing at times do you know what I mean like there are you know my family could have been killing each other in Lanzarote but our family photo looked stunning yeah yeah yeah but everyone puts their best foot forward but when he's talking about the performative so I'm going to say it word on the street is their marriage is you know a little open allegedly allegedly but I think that's when he's talking about this performative thing it's like loads of marriages are open and they just get on with things because they're a brand you know what I mean
41:28Vogue Williams:and I genuinely think they really love each other like you see they're in so they have such a great time together I just let's like well let's watch this face we might have to do a little update during the week we're recording this on a Tuesday or Wednesday God knows what's going to happen by Friday morning
41:43Joanne McNally:did he take can I just ask for clarity Joan you're our fact checker here has he deleted did he delete the stories or did he let them sit there for the 24 hours
41:51Vogue Williams:yeah 24 hours oh he left them up I'd be surprised if he doesn't hit up the main grid that would do honestly it would do so well he's uh
41:58Joanne McNally:that's pisses at dawn he left up for the whole 24 hours that's that and that news travelled incredibly fast
42:05Vogue Williams:well Victoria did post a little tribute to Emma Bunton saying happy birthday so it looks like they're trying to carry on as normal well you would wouldn't you yeah and Cruz posted being in the studio so
42:17Joanne McNally:never explain never complain that's yeah that's what Kate Moss goes by
42:21Vogue Williams:I just feel like a weight's been lifted off my shoulders there I just couldn't wait to come in and talk to you because obviously Joanne and I can't talk about things until we come in here
42:30Joanne McNally:I of course reshared something from Emma Bunton's account. I was like, look at the girls rallying for Victoria. And then everyone was like, Joanne, that's not her real account. It's a fan account.
42:43Vogue Williams:Yeah, I was like,
42:44Joanne McNally:unless Jo's there to tell me it's not true, I really have no idea what's going on. Yeah, and Rebecca Lou's getting involved and she's like, the truth towards the end.
42:52Vogue Williams:She's like that troll under the bridge who just keeps coming back out with the big egos. She's like, me?
42:56Joanne McNally:It's like, stop. It's like, Rebecca, obviously you don't like Victoria. Obviously you think she's a bitch. You wrote her husband. she's already going to be taking you for bubbles and a massage but it's like every time something like this happens she's like she comes out just to go that's so true she's like told you so it's like I don't imagine you're going to be getting the best sides of the Beckhams when you sold a story that you wrote David
43:16Vogue Williams:and I mean there's nobody that is more happy that Brooklyn Beckham has released his statement other than Stephen Bartlett because the heat has been well and truly taken off but we are going to touch base on that next week
43:26Joanne McNally:yeah we're going to touch base on him for sure
43:30Vogue Williams:yeah Joanne should society intervene for fuck's sake
43:34Joanne McNally:what in the handmaid's tale is this shit
43:40Joanne McNally:that's it for this week thanks for listening
43:42Vogue Williams:and we are on a break we only found out today
43:45Joanne McNally:we have a bonus next Wednesday
43:49Vogue Williams:but we're just pre-warning it's a two week break and then we'll be back again
43:53Joanne McNally:and the bonus will be basically about Stephen Barlett
43:56Vogue Williams:yeah
43:57Joanne McNally:and Chris Williamson barf idiots
44:20Vogue Williams:This has been a Global Player original production.
