In short

The hosts swap stories about St. Patrick’s Day (including being Grand Marshal), hair extensions and confidence, a correction about “slurry” vs “silage,” and a long discussion of Louis Theroux’s documentary The Manosphere on toxic masculinity and the manosphere’s online grift. They also chat about recent entertainment news (Claudia Winkerman’s chat show episode, Oscars highlights, and celebrities).

Guests

No guests appear as interview subjects in this transcript. The only “guests” discussed are people the host met/interviewed on Claudia Winkerman’s show: Rachel Ziegler (Snow White; Evita) and Niall Horan (and his girlfriend Mia). Also mentioned: Claudia Winkerman herself.

Key claims

Manosphere figures are “emotionally unintelligent,” often “rage bait” grifters, and resent women’s sexual power; the movement is linked to politics and women’s rights rollbacks. The hosts argue the content is largely a money-making scheme and sometimes doesn’t even reflect the men’s real beliefs.

Notable examples

Myron (worst, racist, “playground tactics,” different behavior with girlfriend); Sneako (didn’t know Louis Theroux); H.S. TikTok/TikiTiki (cringe camera behavior, “mommy” comment); the poodle scene. St. Patrick’s Day: the Grand Marshal role is unpaid and involves two days of work for charity.

0:02Vogue Williams:This is a Global Player original podcast.

0:15Vogue Williams:Hello and welcome to My Therapist Goes to Me. Sorry Joanne, you actually, you took my breath away for a moment there. Have you still got the long hair?

0:24Joanne McNally:No, I've just been... It's not your own. it's my own hair so again I'm happy to take the lead and put in the context this is the way it works that Vogue just refuses to provide I just think everyone

0:40Vogue Williams:watches your Instagram like I do

0:44Joanne McNally:well if there's as much better as many people listen to watch my Instagram I'd have a lot more Instagram followers I seem to let them down on that front slightly losing interest in Instagram but anyway it's another conversation I was doing I did the Claudia Winkleman chat show on Friday and as part of it because I was doing you know I was like I'll do a new look as the kids would call it new look and I asked Hadley would he put extensions in so that I could look like a woman and he did he put in these course extensions and then I had this lovely long trail of like feminine like a tail and I was curling it and I was playing with it and I'm not going to lie when I say my male attention upped itself and that is science guys I was more attractive, I felt more attractive I felt sexier I was kind of swishing through the aisle of the plane flying to New York the next day but then of course when I landed I woke up it looked like Chernobyl had gone off in my head there was ones hanging out here and ones falling off there no shade on Hadley just obviously me pulling at them and then I started to look like

1:57Vogue Williams:You were wearing clip-ins when you went to clip-ins is a little day job not like the ones that I get nailed to my head No

2:03Joanne McNally:It was in a clip-in but this morning I looked like because I have to do a couple of bits today Do you remember when Angelina Jolie remember she remember she had those heinous Stannels Do you remember there was a photograph of her on the red carpet Yes and the Stannels went to a certain and then her own hair it was so bad but I was like what's obviously happened is Angelina has had a really good job done sorry, the day before or the night before and she just tried to rock them for a second day like I did without the hairstyle. Anyway, I've decided to get them put in properly. You're going to get full timers.

2:36Vogue Williams:There's certain things in life and I know like everyone can choose to do what they want but like having long hair because I used to go from short to long. You feel, you feel a little, I feel personally a little bit younger and a little bit better looking with longer hair and it's the same that goes for a tan. If I don't have a tan on, I don't feel as good. I don't feel as confident. It's just certain things that make you feel confident.

3:02Joanne McNally:It'll lift. And you know me, I'm very bad on my own hair and I feel like I'm always going around and it's just pulled up. It's always a little bit messy even though I try my best. I try my best with it. I just don't have the eye for it. So I feel like if I have long straight stenos then I won't have to do as much. And I'll just be like a pretty little horse trolling through town.

3:22Vogue Williams:I don't think that's really the case. I can get up and go because it's not my hair. Well, I know, but it still is hair. It's just, if anything, it's going to add to your load. I just want you to know all the facts before you get 22 inch extensions to your arse. Well, I don't know.

3:41Joanne McNally:I'm just saying, if it looks like shit, I can't be blamed because it's not my hair.

3:46Vogue Williams:Okay, that's actually a good way. Do you know I met a horse the other day who was wearing, I did, I met a horse yesterday, He was wearing, he was an older horse and he was a Frisian. So this beautiful black horse, but there was four of them. And he was the oldest one, Jasper. And they had to, they put spray in his hair because he was at the parade. So they put that stuff, the L 'Oreal spray, because he has a bit of a grey mane. And they sprayed his hair. So he, he looks fantastic. Hold on.

4:13Joanne McNally:They tried to spray the grey out of his hair for St. Patrick's Day. They didn't try to.

4:17Vogue Williams:They did. He looked like a young foal by the time they were done with him.

4:22Joanne McNally:I assumed you were going to say that they sprayed on green, white and gold, which would have made more sense. But no, they shamed the horse. He's probably worked his whole life. That is so insulting to the horse community.

4:35Vogue Williams:I saw him trot before and I saw him trot after. And the post spray trot was a lot more happy than the pre spray trot. He felt like one of the gang. I'm sorry if you can't even age as a horse. No, he was swishing that tail like no one's business. What is the point? I know you cannot age as a horse because then you'll end up making glue for people to sniff.

4:58Joanne McNally:Jesus Christ, he'll be going on Horse Island next trying to get abs for himself. That poor bastard thing has probably worked all its life carrying tons and tons of wankers on his back. And now his last shred of dignity is getting booked for the Paddy's Day Parade. And they give him Botox and spray the grey out of him. He looked absolutely beautiful. And Jasper was... Aren't you lucky you didn't have any grey yourself, folk? Can you imagine what they would have done? I'm surprised they didn't make you wear a wig. Like Annie the Orphan, a curly, anything to add youth to you.

5:30Vogue Williams:Well, they did say you need to get the stannos done before you're allowed to participate in the parade. And I said, fine, I will do that for you. I'll wear, I'll make sure the hair looks, it's young. They didn't really say that. Come here to me, tell me. So you tell us about the Claudia Winkerman show. We want to know who was on with you. Okay, so because I was, then we'll do the Paddy's Day Parade. Because I obviously want to know all about it. but we both don't talk to each other so we both we're talking to each other save it all you tell me and then I'll so we'll go I'm more desperate go on

5:58Joanne McNally:yeah we share information live now unless of course it's something incredibly sinister yeah and then I'll ring there's quite a few of them as well delete and then it's like answer now so it's been it's been busy it's been busy finished with shows in the Olympia did the night late then went back and did Claudia and Claudia was obviously everyone loves Claudia Winkerman that's why she has a chat show and actually there was a really interesting episode on the podcast that we love about Joe I don't know did you ever listen to This Is Entertainment with Richard Osmond and Marina Hynd the rest of it do you know he quit House of Games I know he quit House of Games

6:39Vogue Williams:I can't believe he quit House of Games I loved him on that but the other fella who's coming in what's his name the Welsh actor Martin Sheen is that his name

6:49Joanne McNally:Martin Sheen as in

6:51Vogue Williams:Charlie Sheen's dad that's Charlie Sheen's dad isn't it

6:53Joanne McNally:I wouldn't imagine it would be around he'd be up for Michael Sheen

6:58Vogue Williams:Michael Sheen oh no way yeah yeah I like him as well so he should do a fantastic job I'm googling Michael Sheen

7:05Joanne McNally:is he you'll know him is he the lad who had the is he is he Kate Beckinsale's baby daddy yeah anyway sorry where was I oh sorry here I was with Claudia Winkerman yeah they did a great episode on how it's gotten to this, like how Claudia has come to this point in her life, which I thought was really interesting because they talk about how, you know, she's in the business 30 something years. And like, this hasn't happened overnight. And they also said, they said, if you ask most people in the entertainment industry, what they want to do, they will all say a chat show. Yeah. Because he was, I can't remember, I didn't really, he said it was because they get to look like they're interested in people and stuff but I actually think it's because you get regular screen time it's really well paid but it's also interesting that you are getting to chat to really cool people every week but I also think you're in a job where the guests can help you do the lifting if you know what I mean no not if you get a bad guest but like you know it's different if you're interviewing very boring people all the time but usually if there's people in entertainment they usually have a story to tell here and there and a bit of pizzazz about them so anyway he was like it's everyone's go as such.

8:13Vogue Williams:Graham Norton was saying I read his book and he was saying that like they pair people, certain people together so you're not just chucked in with somebody who has the same times as you. So like with Robert De Niro he said he had to be very specific who he'd put on with Robert De Niro because Robert De Niro was quite like quite dull and just not like doesn't really want to do it, isn't very chatty so he has to get other people on that will like create a conversation around Robert De Niro which I but they do it with different kinds of guests so I'm glad you were paired with so I was on with

8:48Joanne McNally:our local man not Horne Rachel Ziegler from our Snow White Disney and who I had seen in Evita I'd been to the London Palladium to see her and Gus Khan who I didn't know each other beforehand but we got on like a house on fire and so it was a really really if I do say so myself, fun foursome. Fivesome, including Claudia, of course. But like, no one was shy. I was saying to your one, Rachel, I'd say that I'd seen her and that I was obviously so impressed by her talent. And now that she was actually funny, I was considering having her assassinated. She's I was like, that's not fair. That's not fair.

9:30Joanne McNally:You can't have lungs like that. You leave your personality at the door. Yeah, yeah, yeah, please. You can't have lungs like that and be witty. That's not fair. And she's I know it's it's so interesting when you see insanely beautiful people in real life because you're just kind of mesmerized. She is the prettiest thing I think I've ever seen. That's stunning. She's like a little Disney princess.

9:52Vogue Williams:Sometimes you're kind of like in awe of people like that. You're just like, oh God, that's when you really feel it. You really feel your number. She was

10:01Joanne McNally:yeah, for sure. Well, we're not even I'm even including you in this one I'm even throwing you in the ugly bin with me in comparison to her. And you know I always elevate you. The ugly bin. Yeah.

10:12Vogue Williams:I would not. Come on. Like, there's a few people that... You're in the bin, folk. I never put you in the bin. Just take it. I'm sure she was a lovely girl, but like, I wouldn't be friends. There are two pretty people. It wouldn't be good for the confidence

10:24Joanne McNally:on a daily basis. It's all you'd have to look at. I wouldn't put the lid on you in the bin, but you'd be in the bin. Okay. And then Niall Horan, who I'd never met. We have a couple of mutuals, but I never actually met him. He's lovely. Really, really nice. I met his girlfriend Mia as well. She was lovely.

10:40Vogue Williams:Oh my God, I was about to ask, is he still with a girlfriend? That's been a long time now.

10:43Joanne McNally:It's been a long time now. Yeah, yeah. So the whole thing was lovely. We got along great. I was wearing a gorgeous top that I bought in inverted commas from a company that I will be returning it to. Except now I'm not sure I can because when I hugged Niall, his makeup went on the shoulder. And now I was like, well, I either keep it or I sell it for more because it is not Horan's face. You could either sell it for more or you could actually send him an invoice.

11:13Vogue Williams:Niall, great to meet you the other day. Could I get your number? Why don't you just send him a message on Instagram? Great to meet you. Could I get your number? And then just, that's when you shoot over the invoice and just say if you wouldn't mind.

11:23Joanne McNally:Yeah. Well, at the moment, it looks like I've Jesus' face in toast. Do you know the way? Do you remember all that? Because it's Niall Horan. Every time we spoke, the girls were squealing in the audience. I was like, Jesus, Niall. Really? I don't know if I could deal with that much squealing in my life. A lot of squealing.

11:38Vogue Williams:I was driving by the Three Arena yesterday where my friend Joanne has a second show on sale. She certainly does. Thank you.

11:46Joanne McNally:Pluggy, plug, plug, plug.

11:48Vogue Williams:And I was driving by it. And I was driving by it like 10 in the morning. And there's people queuing up outside to go and see whoever was playing that night. 10 in the morning. I said there wouldn't be a single person in the world I'd queue outside like that for. Sombra or something is there a band called Sombra? Yes S-O-M-B-R

12:09Joanne McNally:Are you sure now they weren't doing a morning show or a matinee?

12:13Vogue Williams:No it was an evening show now in fairness actually when I think cast my mind back I probably if there was a chance of seeing Justin Timberlake I probably would have sat outside in the snow Would you? Honestly now Back in the day Joanne back in the day I had like like I had no problem sharing him with my best friend Ashley like we were just we had this whole plan about how we'd both get with him. It didn't matter who. Like, we were seriously obsessed. Now, I wouldn't have any interest now. I wouldn't queue up. I wouldn't queue up in the post office behind him now. But, like, back in the day, I would have loved it.

13:35Vogue Williams:If you feel like listening to more podcasts, my sister and I do a podcast called Vogue and Amber. And it is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so different days to myself and Joanne Safine.

13:52Joanne McNally:I have an apology because I was about to say I wouldn't, I'd rather gargle silage than cue. and I've had it turns out there's been a couple of messages from that I hadn't read Joanne you did it again this is the last message I had please you can't gargle fermented grass you mean slurry so she's tried to correct me on it a couple of times there's one before that Joanne you always say silage you mean slurry Joanne it isn't silage it's sorry so corrections corner I'd rather geigle slurry you're going to have people

14:25Vogue Williams:coming after you for geigle now it is nearly

14:27Joanne McNally:out there wasn't it I'd rather gargle slurry so what would I do with silage then

14:34Vogue Williams:it doesn't have the same ring to it

14:36Joanne McNally:just enjoy it it's like it's the grass that cows eat in the winter just enjoy it okay I will you know guilt free guilt free bit of silage for you I just had to clean that up I think I was annoying the farmers or the land people so I wanted to just clear that up and say it's slurry from now on I'll be gargling not silage

14:56Vogue Williams:the farmers still like me because remember I was the ambassador for the National Dairy Council and I got loads of vegans I loved that job I miss that job the face of milk the vegans came after me but the farmers still like me come here thank you for your cows

15:16Joanne McNally:tell me about this how was the Paddy's Day Parade where you were the Grand Marshal being driven around Ireland in a stunning Tweed jacket by the way Oh wasn't it Paul Costello Not a bullet hole on you Vogue I'm very impressed Do you know what

15:33Vogue Williams:At one point At one point I was like I wouldn't mind an odd little A little shot Would have been fine Really? I think I think I'm shy I was just like When I got in the car I was like what have I done Because I was like Who the fuck do I think I am Standing here Waving at people And I was like I just and they were like Victorious Murph was standing up and I was like oh god I can't I can't stand in the car and then I had to they were like go on will you stand up for a few shots and I had to stand up and I was like I was so I like it was an honour to be able to do it but I was like I don't think I would put myself in that position again because I'm too shy I think that I and I know I don't come across as shy but I suppose it's the whole idea of notions as an Irish person.

16:25Vogue Williams:Like, I don't, I was sitting in the car waving at people and I was like, all my friends at home are slugging me.

16:32Joanne McNally:Yeah. And we were, we were. I know. I know you were. And then I was like. I forgot what happened. I woke up, I completely forgot it was St. Patrick's Day until I was, I was sitting in Heathrow Airport and I was like, oh my God, I was so unaware it was actually going on. Go on and on.

16:49Vogue Williams:It was an honour and the parade is, at the parade is amazing and my niece got a picture of Catherine Connolly she was very nice to her when she was sitting in the grandstand Did you not meet Catherine?

17:01Joanne McNally:Did you not go in and meet Catherine? I thought there was like a breakfast involved or something

17:05Vogue Williams:Well I went to a breakfast Catherine wasn't at that breakfast so it was a really full on day and I'd like to clear something up right because you know when you do the late late not you in particular you actually got quite nice comments but like so I know your grand man pod PJ and Kevin they also did a video on it because they went on the late late and it's the same thing. It's like, what am I paying my TV license for?

17:24Joanne McNally:Was there a bit of that? Was there, are you saying, was there a bit of that?

17:27Vogue Williams:Was there a bit of it? There was a lot of it. Remember I was on to you, I was like, holy Jesus. I mean, I don't even like doing the late, late that much because I just don't like the abuse that comes with it. But this is like tenfold. And so what are they wasting their money on getting her as the grand marshal? I would like to clear something up. I did two days of work for the grand marshal job because it is an honour to do that for our country. And I was honoured to be asked. There was no payment involved. It's something that you just do. The St. Patrick's Day Festival is a charity. So you do it without getting paid for it.

18:02Vogue Williams:So I would like to say that first.

18:04Joanne McNally:I'm assuming you found that out after the fact and then kicked off because I would have.

18:10Vogue Williams:That's why I wasn't at the end of the parade, actually. That's why I just got out of the car and I stormed off.

18:15Joanne McNally:Two days, stands up taking my life in my own hands. not a penny not even a bit of breakfast with the president I'll tell you I said this to you I think it was I think it was a brave thing to do I really do I think it's a weird ass job and unless unless you're Katie Taylor coming home after winning six gold Olympics I don't think anyone's not going to get abuse for driving around in a car do you know what I mean waving I was like

18:41Vogue Williams:the good stuff's coming the good stuff is behind me okay because like I'm going around in a car waving at people But I was like, don't worry, the floats and the bands and the dancers, they're on the way. Yeah.

18:53Joanne McNally:Did you have it? You should have had a megaphone. You're like, I'm sorry about this. Sorry about this. Just let me pass through with a bit of pride. And then the real parade is coming behind.

19:04Vogue Williams:I was absolutely wrecked by the end of it. It was two hours. I'd been smiling so much. I drank loads of water because I had some water in the back of the car. And then I had drank so much water that I was like, I'm going to probably piss my pants now. as well at the same time. Because you're smiling the whole time and waving. And it made me think, I am glad I'm not a member of the royal family. I couldn't do that every day. It's absolutely exhausting to be on your best behavior. You can't even look at your phone or anything. You have to be on your best behavior for two full hours. That is... I just would have been filming and tagging the parade all day, no?

19:40Vogue Williams:Oh, well, for a person with my attention span, it was very, very difficult for two hours. And I was, like, my brain was depleted by the end. I was like, I don't think I can see anywhere. I was in bed at six o 'clock. I couldn't even have a drink. I was like, I have to go to bed.

19:55Joanne McNally:Do you know, to get the crowds going when I was coming through, I would have done something like, I would have filled them and said like, this is going out in Times Square. So they'd kind of get like, you know, excited. Yeah, that's what I would have done. One fella showed me, take your top off.

20:09Vogue Williams:And I said, there'd be no point. Good for him.

20:14Joanne McNally:Getting involved. That's what we like, community spirit.

20:16Vogue Williams:I did feel like at least he's getting involved.

20:19Joanne McNally:He's giving us a talk about here. Yeah. This is great. But like I say, fair play, because that is not an easy job. And no, you survived it. It's done now. You had your day. I had my day.

20:32Vogue Williams:And I know, I know, I know. I'm straight back in my box, by the way. I came home and I got back in the box and I won't come out again because I understand it. But I met this man at the breakfast and he was like, I was going to write into your podcast and tell you a story about when I was in Bristol one time. And I was like, oh, okay. He was like, I'll come back when you have two minutes. I was like, well, I have two minutes. You can tell me the story. He said that he was in Bristol on his own and he wanted to go and see a play. And he'd been told 2.22 a ghost story or something. It was called something like that.

21:03Vogue Williams:And he said, it's meant to be brilliant. It's meant to be really scary. It is. It's a great play. And he said that that was playing in Bristol. He'd heard that was playing in Bristol and he wanted to go and see the ghost story show. So anyway, he went down and he sat down in the theatre and he noticed that there was a large amount of very drunk women beside him. And he was like, this is a bit unusual for a player.

21:29Vogue Williams:It started getting into it and he said that there were two women he didn't really recognise. I won't tell you how he eventually said he recognised me. Then he said, oh, and I eventually recognized you because you used to be married to Brian McFadden. I was like, you are really not insulting me here at all. And then, so he sat down and he said the show started and he was expecting like, obviously a play. And then you and I came on and he said it was very explicit. And he was like, what?

22:01Joanne McNally:He accidentally came to my therapist ghost me instead of 2.222, whatever it's called.

22:06Vogue Williams:A ghost story It was ghosted Oh my god I went to ghosted And he had pictures And everything Of the set

22:17Joanne McNally:That's hilarious That was like I remember Jason Burntan In a story once Years ago That a couple came in Kind of late To his show And they looked Very surprised For the whole thing And eventually he stopped And he was like Are you guys okay And they're like We thought we were Coming to Cats

22:43Vogue Williams:people sometimes do that to me are you are you marie are you spencer matthew's wife i'm like no my name is vogue

22:56Joanne McNally:are we going to talk about the manosphere absolutely i i have to say i i have been I'm not just saying it's incredibly busy over the last nine, ten days at one point I wasn't sure I was going to make it so I haven't been able to write down all my thoughts on the Manosphere but I have thoughts I'll start okay these men obviously we all know Louis Theroux has made a documentary called The Manosphere about toxic masculinity and kind of the rise of it and where it's all come from etc and I think it's Louis's best work yet I forgot how powerful it is to just say nothing and let stupid people talk because they come out with the most ridiculous shit ever.

23:36Joanne McNally:I think they are a mix, these men, of thick, like genuinely thick. Stupid. Yeah, I agree. Problematically thick. Wanting to make money with rage bait. I don't think some of them even half believe some of the shit they're saying. The fact that, like seeing some of them who were like, yeah, bitch, clean. You'll take my dick when I tell you to take my dick. And then when he's with you, he's like, well, obviously when she has her period, like I won't force it, you know, it's like, oh, this is too, it was cringeworthy. But I'm going to say something.

24:07Vogue Williams:That was Myron. And I think that he was like, he was the worst. He was the worst of all of them, I think.

24:15Joanne McNally:He was definitely the most, he liked to be considered the worst of all of them, for sure. He took great pride in his toxicity. But at the end of the day, when his girlfriend was in front of him, he was a very different person. Wasn't he?

24:30Vogue Williams:Well, you know, you know, the girlfriend has since left him. So he was saying that like, yeah, he was like, maybe in one day, like what I'd like to do is to be married to two people. And they have all this one way monogamy where they can go out and ride rings around themselves. And then their wife can't do the same thing. So it's only it's only OK for them.

24:48Joanne McNally:But in that conversation, though, this is I was like, this is so this is so telling. so when Louis tried to have that conversation with Myron in front of his girlfriend he's there holding a poodle he looks like really shook because he had to defend this now to his girlfriend and she's like yeah he has mentioned this before and she was kind of looking at him but honestly like you know at the moment I mean I'm not saying I want that multiple partners I'm just really busy with work and I was like you have no intention of this you're just talking shit to make it sound like you're some big swinging dick whereas actually you're a man in love I can see it in your face.

25:25Vogue Williams:He is, he was the most pathetic. And like he took, he uses like playground tactics to take down women that he would have in his podcast. And he sits there and he, he, he takes down the way women look, looking like that himself, like, sorry. And he also is, I just, I just found him really, really stupid, really toxic. He's really racist. Like if you've seen anything else of him online, like he's he's incredibly racist towards people. And he's just really bad. And I said last week on the bonus, I said, I actually I can't blame the parents. But actually, it has to come from somewhere.

26:03Joanne McNally:Wider, wider, like zoom out. This is, as we know, a result of the Me Too movement and us calling masculinity toxic and then men feeling completely vilified. and then they kind of come together in online chat groups or in real life and they present with this like ultra masculinity and that's how this is all presenting now and it's all the kind of, I don't think you can blame the parents for that necessarily. Like I don't. I think that's just culturally what's happening at the moment and then they're being led by these people like these Manosphere men who are saying men have to earn their value, women were born with value because we have a pussy basically.

26:40Joanne McNally:That's what they're saying. Did you see the scene where your man Justin when he'd met these two fans in the street and he was saying to Louis, you know, at 21 years of age, women are really attractive. They could be invited on a yacht, you know. They have that value. And then he points to one of the guys talking to him and he goes, look at this guy. He's never going to be invited on a yacht. And your man's just nodding his head along, basically going, this man's in bits. He's not hot enough to be on a yacht. And the guy's just agreeing with him. So they have this, this is the thing that women want value in men and that men have to build it and that we just get it.

27:11Joanne McNally:I know, but these complete, go on I'll let you finish first I'm always curious in the how has this happened rather than like the individual who's doing it it's like what has come to this but when HHS Tiki Tok whatever your man's name is that he ends up calling his mother mommy in front of the camera now he never lived it down when he first spoke about his mother I was like oh this is interesting because he's like she's not racist she's really against all this stuff she's not homophobic she hates when I speak like this and I was like oh this is really interesting I wonder how this woman is it Elaine was that her name yeah I think it was then we met Elaine and the first five minutes of meeting his mother I was like again going oh this is interesting he's very different in her company she seems to have a bit of authority on him she's clearly disappointed in how he behaves but then as the scene rolled on and he'd been kind of extradited back home to go to court for this car crash that he was responsible for she started saying things like everyone's different everyone's allowed their opinions and blah blah blah and she was kind of defending him and I was like oh Elaine you're a problem

28:15Vogue Williams:you know I know she is I think that she actually is definitely the problem but like even with like when you look back at their childhoods and a lot of them don't have that father figure in their lives like HS Tiki Tiki doesn't or they've toxic relationships with their mothers absolutely

28:30Joanne McNally:there's always background to this stuff

28:32Vogue Williams:they go on about all these like these things for people to buy and like this is how you make me this is how you get my lifestyle those plonkers have not got a single solitary clue about any stock market about any kind of bitcoin yet they're able to convince men little well not men boys to invest their money into what they're doing because then they get a portion of what what they are good at is selling bullshit and then the young boys are buying this thinking that they're going to have the lifestyle that they have and i also don't believe that they own the houses that they own the cars i think it's this like made up bullshit least lifestyle that isn't even true and they're just trying to prey on young boys who are impressionable and who kind of are looking for that father figure in their life as well and i actually do think it's sad to think that they just never had that growing up and like that's what they've turned into these like i think that marlon fella is evil he used to work in homeland security in america and he stopped working in that and now he's going out spouting this stuff all over his podcast like really crazy scary stuff and I actually think he is quite like he's Andrew Tate levels of worrying and like scary for the world I'm not I'm not denying that he's

29:47Joanne McNally:scary for the world I just think he's so stupid I was just shot I was I was blown away by how how much of a grift it was if you know what I mean I was like I don't even know if these lads believe half the shit they're saying I also think what I thought was really telling was the way your man hey Jess tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick whatever was interviewing Bonnie Blue but saying he thinks she's disgusting but is filming dancing with these OnlyFans girls but like it's all for clout or tics or whatever they say but I was like ultimately this comes down to men resenting the fact that they want to ride women and they resent the fact that women can withhold sex from them and that to me was what it came down to they resent it so they're like I want to the other way they're like I want to fuck her but I fucking hate her in the same breath they're like when I have sex with her I have no respect for her because I've gotten what I've wanted but if she doesn't give it to me I also hate her now these are we're not talking about day to day like the normal men that we would come into we're talking about men who've been radicalized in a way but there's room for that to happen they resent this is straight men obviously we're talking about I don't know if there's that many gay men in the man's here but this seems to be all very focused towards women doesn't it but they resent the power of the pussy, which is a very American term to use, but I think that is deeply what I think that is what's at the centre of it.

31:09Joanne McNally:And so because of that, they think they're they're upset about their legacy ending, they're upset about not getting sex, I think they're entitled to it, and instead of kind of like talking about how positive it would be to have a family, they're just talking about their legacy, about having kids and how they should be protected like an endangered species basically, and that's I think that's where a lot of the the resentment and the bitterness, the anger comes from. It's like, I hate women, but I want to ride women, but they won't let me ride them. And now I think they're fucking whores.

31:39Vogue Williams:I also think it's quite scary that like it's in the manosphere. It's with these younger generation of men and not just them. Some of them were too old to be even doing that. But anyway, but also it's like, it's seeping into politics. Like when you look at America, the way things are going backwards for women and stuff over there, like it's actually, it's not just something to be worried about your kids watching online. It's actually seeping in over there as well. And it's like they're taking away women's rights. And they're just like, it's crazy to watch the whole thing unfold. And I just think that like, hopefully people like really start understanding a little bit more.

32:14Vogue Williams:And just realizing how big a problem it is.

32:16Joanne McNally:I was in a way reassured by it a little bit. Yeah. And how stupid they were. Like, I swear, I know that sounds mad. But like, I was like, oh, this is all a grift. This is all. Now, I'm not saying that that doesn't mean that it has tangible consequences. You know what I mean? But like these men are. Like just they just looked. Take a shit to me. They looked emotionally unintelligent. They looked pathetic in my eyes. I was like, oh, you're the big fear. Stupid, pathetic losers. I agree with you. But do you remember your man? What's his name? Myron. Myron, the scene of Myron holding the poodle while his girlfriend clearly is looking up and down and be like, you're telling this lad that we're going to have a big open marriage?

33:09Joanne McNally:Is that what you're doing? And you could see his face kind of crumbling. It was all show. And then she walked over and he went, clean up the studio, yeah? Yeah, shut the fuck up. But even like... Is that even real? Does she, like... She was probably just going to run a cloth around the studio anyway because there's about to be some work done, but he had to kind of shout at her in front of the camera. It all just looked... like a big act to me.

33:33Vogue Williams:But even your man, Sneeko, who was one of the streamers that was on it, he wasn't like, he didn't even, he didn't even know who Louis, he didn't even know who Louis Theroux was before that they were, that he filmed them. And then after he does this stream, he's like, uh-oh, it's like, how could you film with somebody for consecutive days and not even look into who they are? Yeah. Listen to Louis Theroux on the Romesh Ryan and Nathan podcast. It's really, really good, by the way. And if you actually listen to Louis the way he is on that podcast, he does have like a really different persona. But like you just because that's all you've kind of seen of Louis because he's done so many documentaries and all that kind of stuff.

34:14Vogue Williams:He's actually like he is so funny and so quick and so brilliant. But like what he was saying, when he does a documentary, he has to give people space. And sometimes he'll ask them something and then he'll notice that they get really bothered by it. So he pulls back a little bit because he doesn't want to lose the whole interview so he said that like filming that and then filming him them streaming him while he was filming he was like it was just a really unusual way to be because obviously you edit stuff and everything like that but like he edited it the way it was shown on the stream as well so like it's not like he was putting words in their mouth but like they thought that they were the hs ticky-tocky thought that he was getting one up on louis through it's like you're not going to get one up on louis through particularly as you're such a dumbass you know so it was so

34:57Joanne McNally:cringe. Remember when he started talking to the camera he was talking to the camera about his fitness regime and Louie's standing behind him and Louie's like who are you talking to? He's like the camera and he's like no this is a documentary like you talk to me. It's just so cringe. But that guy Suki what's his name? Suki Snuki whatever his name is. Sneak out. He said it he was like this is all just to make money. It's just rage bait. We just say shit to gain traction, clout and then we turn it into cash we sell our you know make a grand while you're sleeping plans or whatever it is it's just it's a weird aggressive pyramid scheme of pissed off penises it's a penis pyramid scheme at the expense of women at the expense of women sorry I should say at the expense of our safety yeah

35:50Joanne McNally:by the way Toronto I think we put on the venue we put on originally was a little small So we've moved to the venue November 8th Toronto We're going to Elgin Theatre Tickets are now on sale

36:06Vogue Williams:Did anyone watch the Oscars?

36:09Joanne McNally:I did I watched the Oscars As I watch all Awards Shows Yeah I didn't You didn't?

36:17Vogue Williams:But I know Okay sorry I know the highlights I didn't mean to ask I didn't mean to ask that question Because no one watches it did you read all the good gossip on the Oscars?

36:27Joanne McNally:Well, Jessie Buckley won and that's the main thing. That's all we want to know. Jessie Buckley. Congratulations. All our love. So well deserved. Amazing. What a year. What a year for her. Jesus. I think she's taken every award. She's probably gotten one for Ghosts. Has she? She's taken every award going this year.

36:45Vogue Williams:But she's actually do you know she started on like on a TV show. She started on a talent show. Yeah. Andrew Lloyd Webber's won. I know. And like, look, and someone had told her that she wasn't going to do well in acting. Well, look at her now. Look at her now. With her, she's a BAFTA and she's an Oscar and that's just, they're the only two that she's won in the last month. And an IFTA.

37:07Joanne McNally:Although no, no shade to the IFTA, but imagine, imagine Jessie hadn't won the IFTA. The IFTA's the Irish one. Imagine she was snubbed by the IFTAs and went on to get an Oscar.

37:17Vogue Williams:What about Timothée? He didn't get it. who got us Michael B Jordan for Sinners and I have heard Sinners isn't that good from two or three people but I'm going to watch myself two or three enough for me in the bed now I'm going to watch it he is he is just so beautiful that man isn't he have you seen him

37:43Joanne McNally:I watched he is he's absolutely beautiful I watched that film on the plane on the way over what's it called the new one with Leonardo DiCaprio.

37:53Vogue Williams:Poor Leo. How many Oscars has Leo lost? He's looking like a ride though. He is looking like a ride with his tash he had going on. He looks like he's had a bit of a judge in the face too. But he won an Oscar in 2016 for The Revenant. But he's also, he's lost seven. Seven Oscars. And he's won one. What a sting. But can we talk about Timothee Chameleon? Because I don't think, I know that's not how to say his name, Chameleon. We're just so past correct in that now In this context That's what his name is Timothee Timothee So he basically, everyone was saying it was because of the Remarks that he made on the opera and the ballet But supposedly the votes were kind of in Before that He went on this rampage of being like 2016 is my 2026 is my year, I'm absolutely brilliant I'm one of the best actors of all time Kind of thing And I think that put people off Because you need to have just a little tiny bit of Humility

38:50Joanne McNally:Humility yeah His strategy was Pick me pick That was his His strategy was like I am an iconic Epic performer Yeah How could I not win I'm on the way I'm on the way But also He's young Do you know what I mean I'm sure he has many Oscars Ahead of him And I won't have it said It just wasn't his year

39:08Vogue Williams:It wasn't his year But I won't have it said People were saying It's to do with the Kardashian curse Leave The girl is alone Kylie Jenner Is it Jenner She's not a Kardashian so it's not her fault that Timothy Timothy Timmy TC I

39:26Joanne McNally:lost as Oscar I watched one battle after another on the plane on the way over amazing Tiana Taylor exceptional acting exceptional film and I probably shouldn't say this but have you seen The Body On Her?

39:42Vogue Williams:Have you seen her in the Kanye West music video? If you want to feel awful about yourself, go and watch her in the Kanye West music video. You'll pass away. I have never like, I have watched that almost.

39:56Joanne McNally:We also honour the work. Tiana, we honour the work. We honour the work. We honour the work of the bod. Apparently Tiana Taylor and Jessie Bookley have become really good friends.

40:09Vogue Williams:I interviewed Tiana Taylor at the All's Fair premiere and she was one of my favorites. I loved her. Sarah Paulson was really sane. But Tiana Taylor had so much time for me. Yeah. And she was just really nice and really sane. And I had been like drooling over. I think it's Kanye West fade she's in and just watching her. Like, Joe, I'd save that for a private time if you're going to watch it. I wouldn't watch it anymore.

40:33Joanne McNally:How? I don't know how much Ritalin she's on that she can do all this acting and keep that body down. My God. But someone was saying when Jessie Booker was getting interviewed on, it was Carl Sinner, one of the late night American shows. and they were saying that when they had Tiana on when the show ended she went up and shook hands with everyone in the audience and everything Oh God I love that I felt bad I felt bad about the late late and I was like see ya I was gone should have stayed and done the rounds they're probably all like do you want to get my park and my bus to get your grant no one wants to shake your hand

41:04Vogue Williams:when I go to the late late I'm going to be handing out Tiana there's going to be one for everyone in the audience

41:08Joanne McNally:you should you should

41:10Vogue Williams:it's a great move you're actually not allowed to do that you're not allowed to do that probably can't now through this no it has to go through this whole ad thing so sorry Joanne was planning on giving out a few anxious preoccupied bags but she wasn't legally allowed
