In short

The hosts (Vogue Williams, Jo Attawell, Joanne McNally) chat about St Patrick’s Day Parade plans in Dublin, Valentine’s Day discomfort and kids’ Valentine cards, and their reactions to the film Wuthering Heights (Emerald Fennell’s adaptation).

Guest backgrounds

Vogue Williams is an Irish TV personality/performer; Jo Attawell is a comedian/TV presenter; Joanne McNally is a performer/comedian (often touring and doing stand-up). They also reference their “English agent” Rick and friends/family (Amber, Louise O’Neill).

Key claims

Vogue is Grand Marshal for the St Patrick’s Day Parade; Valentine’s Day feels “ick”/embarrassing and they prefer low-key, handwritten kids’ cards; Wuthering Heights is “game-changing,” horny/romantic, and visually stunning despite critics.

Notable examples

Titanic cast meet-and-greet awkwardness; proposals on stage; “Mammo” restaurant; Nancy Guthrie abduction case and “bad handwriting” medical-error stat; Wuthering Heights stars Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie, Charlie XCX soundtrack, and the chemistry/“riding” talk.

0:27Vogue Williams:I reckon the listeners even if you were having a session in your gaff in the background I reckon the listeners would be okay with it they'd be like it's Joanne she's Grant I'd be like

0:36Joanne McNally:lads keep it down for a second I've magic mic here doing balloons on the bedroom floor just give me an hour lads will you yeah because I think it's a feminist masterpiece I've been over this again and again and again

0:50Vogue Williams:they couldn't have been more disappointed to have to wait around and get pictures with us at the end do you remember sorry

0:55Joanne McNally:oh my god it's so funny that you bring that up it was such a good night I went to see Titanic on Valentine's night and I met the the cast after right because Ross who I went with knew one of the actors and they were like we're coming in like oh come up and meet us after blah blah blah fine I was like oh I'd love to that's great crack but I in my mind because when I post show I post show when I meet people I usually I'm in their dress I bring people into the dressing room or I do meet them green at the stage door or whatever so I didn't know anyway I forgot he was like they're going to come down to the stage now and meet you and I was like oh I'm triggered I'm triggered the last time this happened was me and Vogue at Magic Mike because Magic Mike invited us in and we went willingly and then they were like thrilled thrilled and we had a lovely time and they asked us will you get a photo with the cast at the end and we were like yeah of course assuming the cast didn't want us all dead

1:50Vogue Williams:would love to

1:52Joanne McNally:they came down

1:53Vogue Williams:we've had a lot of drinks we've had a lot of drinks

1:55Joanne McNally:no no no I'm in our defence now and this is no offence to the cast of Magic Mike because I understand it completely as a fellow performer sometimes post show you're like I just want to I just want to sit in the dark do you know what I mean my social battery is depleted these lads when I say and no shade no shade no tea the last thing they wanted to do was stand on the stage with Vogue and I it was so awkward so we thought they might be like we were kind of buzzing nope stop it actually makes me

2:27Vogue Williams:do you know when you think back and you're like oh cringe like I actually felt disgusting I was like oh my god I feel like a fucking Faruka on someone's foot no one wants someone get the nail file and get me off

2:39Joanne McNally:I'll tell you exactly they invited us they asked us to do a photo and then they treated us like two competition winners who banged down the door to get a photo with the cast and that's the God's honest truth Jo whether you can leave this in or not I don't know but that is what happened it was so embarrassing the lads had no interest

2:58Vogue Williams:even with you like you're grand after the show because you're like up for having a little drink or something when you meet somebody but some people just aren't like I hate meeting people after a show because I just feel like I'm really invading their space like that time Spenny proposed to me in front of all those lions who were nearly dead they were like Mufasa by the end of it they were like dead lions and me and Spenny show up like happy as Larry getting engaged I was like get me please Christ

3:22Joanne McNally:I know such a wild choice on Spencer's behalf stop honestly knowing knowing how I know him now it doesn't make any sense

3:32Vogue Williams:Spenny proposed to me at the Lion King at the stage show he wanted to post me while they were on the stage but Disney had to explain that actually this is a live performance that people have paid for so you can't interrupt it for your proposal yeah I would be fuming so he was like oh really and anyway like no no shades the lion king i just never it's not my it's not even in my top five disney's my favorite is i know my favorite beauty and the beast it's spencer's favorite and that's why it makes perfect spence because spence it makes perfect perfect spence yeah perfect spence i didn't think we'd be doing this but you do need to give us your top five disneys now because sorry oh yeah five yeah now i love finding nemo because i do love the ride at Disneyland Paris.

4:16Vogue Williams:Oh. I like where that went at the end there.

4:19Joanne McNally:I was very confused. I was like, I don't consider Nemo erotic. Nemo's a,

4:23Vogue Williams:what? Nemo's a fantastic movie. No, you went,

4:25Joanne McNally:you went, I love the ride and then you broke for like seven minutes before you finished the sentence. I mean,

4:30Vogue Williams:I love the ride. Yes, I do.

4:33Joanne McNally:Yeah.

4:34Vogue Williams:It's got a fish fetish. I do.

4:37Joanne McNally:I had, fish is your fetish. Oh God, no. If fish is your fetish. Any, opportunity to wangle that in there. I had a lad email me and was like, do you mind, can I propose to my girlfriend at your show? And I said, well, Jo and Vogue, you've both seen my show. I was like, you haven't seen the show because it is the She won't like you after. It's like bringing a spoon to a knife fight. I said, you don't want to be doing a proposal on stage. You're grand.

5:04Vogue Williams:A spoon? No, imagine. We'll be booing and hissing. Like, it's not

5:09Joanne McNally:the room. It's not the show for love. it's about friendship love not straight boy girl love so I was like no but anyway look also Rick my I call him my English agent because that's basically what he is was saying that he proposed to his wife they met in the Brixton Academy and then as the proposal he got the guys in Brixton Academy to write up in letters above the venue will you marry me to his oh that's quite nice it is quite nice and while he was still on his because it's the Brixton Academy we were joking about the fact when you come out of a venue they pull your name down oh like you're literally you're taking your last bow and your name has been and your posters are being ripped off the walls for the next act and Rick was saying last night because he was in the Apollo with me and he was saying that when he proposed he was still on his knees and they were fucking pulling down the letters no yeah yeah Christ

6:01Vogue Williams:they really don't waste a moment

6:07Vogue Williams:give us a couple of your favourite Disney movies I'm Beauty and the Beast and Finding Nemo What about up Up you know that man

6:15Joanne McNally:I've never seen Your man with the balloon house I've never seen it I've never seen it

6:18Vogue Williams:And I

6:19Joanne McNally:I love balloons As we've established Do you want He just gets off his tits And floats to the sky What's the crack Did his wife die Something sad Why is Disney always Trying to make you cry Let me have a thing It's nice to cry

6:32Vogue Williams:It's important

6:32Joanne McNally:Give me some options I don't I'm not Nothing's We're talking about cartoons Don't forget the live action ones

6:39Vogue Williams:Because you got you got Mary Poppins you got Ben Mugs and Groomsticks oh you like things like that that's your style I don't know those I like the old shit yeah you're too young Oliver is Oliver not one

6:53Joanne McNally:Annie it is not Annie was a big dream of mine to play her and it was only when I hit my 40s that dream is probably over no it's not you bring it up younger in my 30s I was like give me a curly red wig I'll do it you can still do it The sun will come out tomorrow. What? You've never done that. And with those freckles you put on, you're Annie. Sorry. I'm big into the freckles. I have a freckle pen, Jo. You won't get it because you're a man, but I'm cute now.

7:23Vogue Williams:I want a freckle pen. I'll be honest, I don't get it.

7:25Joanne McNally:I'm cute now. So Liv, Davey does my makeup. She puts them on for me with a freckle pen and then I tried to do them myself and Garode was very clear. He's like, you look like you've got syphilis. I was like, fine. So I wiped them off.

7:34Vogue Williams:Can I just say something? And this isn't even a plug.

7:38Joanne McNally:Bear by Vogue

7:40Vogue Williams:You can't put them on with Bear by Vogue if you get a tiny little thing but you can actually contour your whole face and everything like you can contour your nose do that little Hayley Bieber thing with the Yeah I would look like

7:52Joanne McNally:I was doing some sort of

Read the full transcript

7:53Vogue Williams:You would just look like you've got the mole on my lip all over your face you just do big huge ones everywhere

8:41Joanne McNally:So I think Schindler Is a really Popular Like a kind of It's kind of like The The burn Of Germany Do you know what I mean

8:50Vogue Williams:Can I say something

8:51Joanne McNally:And so I think Schindler and the Lyfts Are not related And do you know Do you know what keeps me awake at night The first time I was in A Schindler Lyft In Birmingham I did a story Or a joke about it And I was like It's so embarrassing That I thought that that was an original thought. It's like it's like me thinking I invented a knock knock joke. Do you know what I mean? I've thought of a saying laughter is the best medicine. You're welcome. Like it was so it's so embarrassing but I did a joke about it.

9:23Vogue Williams:Who did that? Someone did something like that. The elephant in the room.

9:27Joanne McNally:Obviously are you saying this to excite me and bring me joy? You know I love this story. Alexandra, what's your face?

9:34Vogue Williams:Alexandra Burke She's a great singer now In fairness Alexandra Burke She thought she'd invented The saying

9:40Joanne McNally:Elephant in the room Is that right? She called an album Jo can we get up the facts here Get up the facts She was on daybreak There you go

9:50Joanne McNally:She claimed to It's phenomenal It's phenomenal Give us something She said she had some Sexual tension with an ex-boyfriend She wrote an album about it And she called the album Elephant And she called the album Elephant because she was like There was an elephant in the room because I had tension with his ex-boyfriend and she's like it's a really popular set yeah go on Jo read it out there she said I never heard of the same before until I did my writing camp for the album

10:13Vogue Williams:it's a very American saying so I thought why not be the first person to bring it over here and make it into a song oh god amazing what is that when I used to feel like that

10:23Joanne McNally:I woke up this morning and I said to myself early bird worm

10:28Vogue Williams:did you make that up yeah

10:30Joanne McNally:and then I coined it yeah I said and I'm booked onto GB News to tell them all about it.

10:35Vogue Williams:Well actually Joanne there was finally a break in the weather over here in Ireland and I said to myself I said great drying out.

10:44Joanne McNally:I thought you were going to say you invented there's a stretch in the evening but great drying out is also impressive.

10:50Vogue Williams:I was going to say now it's five o 'clock and it's still bright and you're right there's a grand stretch. There's a grand stretch.

10:57Joanne McNally:Sorry Alexander if you're listening which I assume you are. Alexandra. Alexandra, if you're listening, which obviously I assume you are. We love you, but it was just funny. We do love you. Allow us to tease. We're just teasing. It was funny.

11:35Vogue Williams:Joanne and Jo are coming fresh from a very big day yesterday. Joanne McNally has slept for two sleeps. She had a full big sleep at night and a little nap today in the space buns and they have lasted. So whoever did them, 10 out of 10 job. Tell me about yesterday right now.

12:19Vogue Williams:And that little glass of wine

12:20Joanne McNally:We had childcare

Were you locked? Would it be nice to see you? A couple things, which, you know, it's awkward to say because we do work together and it's a professional relationship. You fancy me now

12:37Joanne McNally:because you've seen me on stage. You're like,

12:38Vogue Williams:no, not that. It happens. It happens. You had a ham shandy to her last night. No. Is that right? For fuck's sake. Fucking hell. Is it a ham shandy? What's it called? Hand. There's no hams.

12:51Joanne McNally:What the fuck is a ham shandy?

13:01Joanne McNally:You changed your tune. There was a time where all you talked about was wanking.

13:06Vogue Williams:Can I please get this out without us talking about it? Are you being sentimental, Joe?

13:10Joanne McNally:Are you going to say something nice to me? Very quickly. Okay, let's not delete Ali. Okay, go on.

13:16Vogue Williams:You were absolutely... That show and you are just incredible. Joe! I've watched a lot of people do stand-up comedy and there's lots of people who are very good at it. But genuinely, it was masterful. It was everything that a stand-up show should be. It was unbelievable. You were amazing.

13:37Joanne McNally:Thanks, Jo. That's so nice. The only one slight disappointing thing. Oh, God. You definitely went on the right after that. Good. I need the negative because we'll never be able to get through so much positive talk, Jo, because we don't speak to each other like this.

13:50Vogue Williams:It used to be the case that you could come to one of Joanne McNally's shows and find the most peaceful place on earth and that would be the men's toilets.

13:59Joanne McNally:Yes!

14:00Vogue Williams:They used to be the quietest place on God's earth. Men come to your shows now. There's men, there's lots of men. There's men, there's many men. There is men.

14:10Joanne McNally:And straight men or gay men? They're straights. From the vibe... Mostly gay.

14:14Vogue Williams:From my gaydar in the toilets, a lot of straight men in there. Yeah, they are. There's more coming.

14:21Joanne McNally:Rick was saying, so we were talking about it last night, we're like, there's definitely something's shifting there's more lads coming in now they're coming in with their partners but they are coming in

14:31Vogue Williams:it's still a night that a man can go and have a laugh and enjoy it and I think it's nice that like although it's a great night for the girlos but it's nice that you can go out with your fella and bring him to it so were you drunk did you drink what happened what time did you start drinking were you hung over were you dying it was a Sunday so I'd been at work I'd been at work only a couple of hours before so I had time for a pint of Guinness beforehand and I had another pint during the show

I tell you everything, literally everything I do, every movement I make. Vogue is the Grand Marshal for the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin. And I saw the video where you went, I haven't even told you on yet. And I was like, and why not? I tell you everything. Okay, I need to explain myself. I would tell you if I got spotting between my menstrual cycles. You tell me nothing.

16:19Vogue Williams:I have to. One, I was like, I'm so excited to be doing it first of all that I was like I didn't want to jinx it you know that way you don't trust me

16:28Joanne McNally:you don't trust me I knew you were going to the jungle for ages and I never said a word to anyone only my 60 closest friends and my mother and it never got out

16:38Vogue Williams:two I don't know what people give a shit about anymore and that's the honest Amber texts me and she goes what the fuck you're the grand marshal for the St. Patrick oh fine fine then I feel okay

16:49Joanne McNally:you didn't tell her either and she was like

16:50Vogue Williams:when were you planning on telling me this and I rang her It's kind of a big deal I know but I was like where did you think I was going this morning like I thought you were going to Cork I was like that's tomorrow then my brother was like folk I've just had some fella text me and he said oh you're going to be getting great seats to the Patrick's Day parade now and I wrote back and said oh I think you sent this to the wrong person and then he said no I've just heard about your sister

17:12Joanne McNally:Oh that's fine I just if everyone's in the dark fine I just don't want to feel like it's only me So St.

17:20Vogue Williams:Patrick's Day is one of the biggest festivals that we have in Ireland and the St. Patrick's Day Festival, it kind of runs over a few days, but I'm going to be the Grand Marshal for the parade itself. I know, it's one of the biggest parades. It's 500 ,000 people or something go to it. And I am, as the most, I am, okay, I'm not going to say I'm the most patriotic person in Ireland, but I am one of them. And I love Ireland. And getting to do this is like a dream job. So I didn't say anything because I had the press call today and I'm like, they can't take it back so now I can tell people. So it's happening.

17:49Vogue Williams:I'm doing it. It's St. Patrick's Day. and then they were like to me we have a spot in the Marion for you but we heard you love staying in your house in Hotha I was like

I've had an intrusive thought where you are riding through Dublin waving your tits off in a open-topped car and you are assassinated. Get shot. Yeah. Like the Kennedys.

20:24Vogue Williams:Do you know what? Not that strange because I also had the thought. I also had the thought.

20:28Joanne McNally:I think if I were you I'd go full Popemobile I would get some sort of bulletproof plan.

20:32Vogue Williams:We're alright for guns in Ireland now we're alright. I might get a pellet gun. Pellet gun. Same damage. Very painful. Or you might get tasered.

20:40Joanne McNally:Just don't throw shit and piss at me please. No if that's the worst that happens fine.

20:46Vogue Williams:yeah that's fine yeah but just please God

20:49Joanne McNally:and that's why I won't take your offer of to ride alongside you A I'm not in Ireland at the time but B I can see myself as John Kennedy's John F Kennedy's wife where she you're assassinated sitting beside me and then your blood is on my costume and then and then and then and then and then and then I have to donate my adyastroxy to a museum because it's your blood blood is on it which is exactly what what's her name

21:15Vogue Williams:Jackie O Jackie O did I'm so glad that I would

21:19Joanne McNally:I'd put it on Etsy I'd sell it You've really given me

21:21Vogue Williams:a real drive for the day I'm very excited and when I thought I was poor I'll shoot you myself

21:28Joanne McNally:I'll shoot you myself

21:30Vogue Williams:I can't wait I was in Dunes today Dunes buying all the bits for the kids I think I might take them I might take the older two who are easier but I just genuinely feel like they were so they just didn't give a shit about gladiators I couldn't even beg them to sit down and watch my bit.

21:46Joanne McNally:No, it wouldn't be arse bringing the kids. It's a lot of waving. It's a long drive. I feel like I should,

21:53Vogue Williams:I feel like this is something I should maybe do alone. I agree. When I heard the Marion was involved, I said, they don't need to ruin it.

21:59Joanne McNally:Yeah. And breakfast with Catherine Connolly. Great day out.

22:03Vogue Williams:Yeah, great day out. Kate Miele-Fortier.

22:05Joanne McNally:Mil-Shawn. There you go. I cannot wait.

23:10Vogue Williams:Well, I think I'd rather you didn't, actually. Listen, best of luck. I want to talk about Valentine's Day. Why? Well because I have this Weird thing About Valentine's Day Okay go on I've decided I'll indulge

23:31Joanne McNally:It gives me the ick Oh Grant

23:33Vogue Williams:Yeah of course

23:34Joanne McNally:It's fucking nonsense

23:35Vogue Williams:I just don't So I'll tell you what Okay I'll tell you what we did And we did it because We're home And it was We didn't have time to go out this week And our favourite restaurant in the house If you ever come and stay in my house It's called Mammo It's delicious And Svenny was like We'll go for a really early dinner So we went for a 6 o 'clock dinner Grant but they were all two tops and I just felt really embarrassed and I felt embarrassed of myself and I feel I almost feel like when people are declaring their love for each other on Instagram I honestly feel and I know it's so mean but I just can't get involved and I don't know why I have and this hasn't stemmed from nowhere like this is back back in the day I used to feel sorry for my dad and I'd be like come on dad we'll go out for Valentine's Day like he'd give a shite about Valentine's Day whether he knew it was Valentine's Day or not I was like I'll take you out I'm not going to my boyfriend I don't want it it's so embarrassing you're a nice daughter I'm just allergic to it the only thing I do like is wait let me see this I am I know I do this for the kids I get them all cards and I do it in handwriting Spenny was like is that your handwriting I was like no Spen I'm trying to be a five year old here

24:41Joanne McNally:sorry I can't see that now you'll have to educate

24:43Vogue Williams:you are very kind and good at drawing I saw you in my friend's house in Ireland you are the best

24:50Joanne McNally:from getting it. What? Sorry, who wrote that? That again sounds like ChatGPT wrote that card. Me! I'm trying to be a blind girl. I saw you in my friend's house and I'm sorry, are you pretending to be a love interest for Gigi? Yes. Oh wow.

25:07Vogue Williams:That's dark. Look at that writing on Theodore's and his card says I love you more than YouTube and that's a lot. He loves YouTube.

25:15Joanne McNally:Look, I can't say I understand it but I respect it. whatever you're doing to Theodore

25:20Vogue Williams:I go to school with you and I think you are cool and good at football you're Valentine guess who Vogue

25:27Joanne McNally:I have to I have to step in here and say while you think you're mothering 101 and you are to some degree you're also faking this is all very catfish remember your one remember that Netflix documentary where your one was trolling her own daughter over riding like this is this is questionable morally I don't know why you're pretending to be Theodore's love interest. Again. I only figured... I want no part of this, Jo. I want no part of this.

25:54Vogue Williams:Dear Otto, I think you are great, like Tony the Tiger. Lots of love, your secret admirer. And I said, my friend Ashley was like, yeah, I get the kids Valentine's stuff and cards. And I was like, and what do you say in the cards? And she says, I say love mom and dad. I was like, yeah, that's kind of what... You're saying love mom and dad.

26:10Joanne McNally:That's the normal thing to do. Do you not think this is better?

26:12Vogue Williams:Now they think someone, now they think someone's sending them cards.

26:15Joanne McNally:Theodore was like, it's Matteo. Mateo you're gaslighting your own kids and I'm here for it Joanne and they felt great about themselves and I said

26:25Vogue Williams:oh my god

26:25Joanne McNally:look they sent you sweets I'll kill them who sent you sweets I will kill them this is much better than one year my mum sent me a birthday card blank she was like I didn't write and then say so you can reuse the card I was like thanks so this is my mum and Neil she just handed me a card in a pack I was like there you go I was like thanks Pat

26:43Vogue Williams:my mum and Neil sent Alza one for his 30th birthday they didn't even write happy birthday you know you open the card and it says happy birthday and they just said love mum and Neil

26:53Joanne McNally:and that was it yeah of course like our parents they're Irish parents like there's no like there's no I remember when me and my family were in Lanzarote for Christmas we had some family photos taken and the photographer was trying to get us all to like touch and kiss and we were just like these rigid frigid Irish people being like no just take the photo like she was saying to my nephew they were like hug your granny put your arms around no this is all very Beckham Brooklyn coded just fucking get on with it

27:20Vogue Williams:I do like some of the content that's online I was watching this video of somebody and like she was doing this video that her fella had like set up all these rose petals going down the stairs pathetic the place

27:31Joanne McNally:sorry sorry

27:32Vogue Williams:the place she's filming it on the way down being like my man is so cute it was honestly like someone had shat all over the walls there was just piles of shit in the corner it was the filthiest as someone had commented on them he could have treated you to a steam pain on the carpet sorry

27:52Joanne McNally:because sometimes I follow some accounts that intentionally rage bait by cooking their kids like terrible meals like you know they're packing little like miniature vodkas for their kids like packed lunch do you think it was was it a bit rage baity no no

28:06Vogue Williams:she was serious and I love those things and there was a few online things that like one thing now an update oh god I don't even know if you guys well you'd no interest in the Beckhams and look what happened there. It all came to fruition. Cardi B's back with your man Steph and she was seen with him.

28:21Joanne McNally:Do you know what? I'm going to be honest. I've no interest in Cardi B. I am bet into Nancy Guthrie at the moment. That is my... Do you know?

28:29Vogue Williams:I don't know who that is.

28:31Joanne McNally:So, thanks for asking even though you didn't. I just, I've seen stuff

28:37Vogue Williams:and it's like something about her doorstep but I don't know what any of it means. Nancy Guthrie is an

28:42Joanne McNally:84 year old American woman who has been abducted from her own home. She's the mother of Savannah Guthrie who hosts a morning TV show in America. She's been taken from the house. Her pacemaker is detached from her Apple Watch. I'm following this podcast. It's like 11 minutes a day of like what's going on. The investigation has been botched from what I can tell. So much so that the house that she was abducted from, there was a journalist sitting in a car outside the front of the house and they ordered a pizza and the pizza guy walked up and delivered it to the main home. Did you hear all this? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

29:17Joanne McNally:Anyway, no one knows what's going on. I feel like it's an inside job. This isn't like conspiracy shit. It always is. Same with Elizabeth Smart. When they took her, it was like...

29:25Vogue Williams:I'd send them to Pat if I was you. If she's ever pissed me off, be like, Pat, step in line.

29:30Joanne McNally:Step in line. When I think of the idea of someone stealing Pat and her being abducted and kidnapped and that I have to sit every night not knowing where she is and what's going on. Desperate.

29:46Vogue Williams:Do you know how many people go missing in the States? I think I drowned myself in the back. Google that. Wait till you hear the stats on the people that go missing in the States. I also read this mental stat about, I thought that you'd love it because it had to do it. Yeah. So based on a 2006 report by the National Academies of Science Institute of Medicine, In the US alone, poor handwriting on prescription notes leads to 7 ,000 deaths a year. What? Yeah. And 1.5 million medical errors from bad handwriting.

30:21Joanne McNally:So what are they, like what? They're in there for paracetamol and they're getting fentanyl. I don't understand. Yeah, something mad that they're not supposed to be having.

30:30Vogue Williams:Did you look at that stat? in excess of 600 ,000 people go missing in the US every year mad, gone, found it

30:39Joanne McNally:poof, vanished without a trace do you know what though, and like listen, I don't know because this is new information to me I don't know what the background of those people are but I think a lot of people maybe, some people like choose to go missing yeah, some people maybe they have addiction issues and they kind of dissolve into anonymity, all that stuff look, I'm also a victim of the news cycle, so like I only see you know there's certain stuff that kind of drags me in and the Nancy Guthrie thing because it stinks to high heaven and there's talk that it's her son-in-law there's something you don't just randomly go in and fucking steal a woman out of her house anyway

31:16Vogue Williams:very clever with the Apple Watch though to know that that was connected to the pacemaker because I remember there was a case of this man who had murdered his wife in Greece and she was an English woman quite young and they had like a one year old baby and he was like I have nothing to do nothing to do her data on her I think she was wearing maybe an Aura or an Apple Watch because of the data they could see when there was a spike of energy and then gone and then they could see when she was dead. So all of his story just didn't make sense.

31:47Joanne McNally:Awful. Well I think her Apple Watch stopped connecting. It wasn't immediate. It was a couple of days after she was taken. But do you know what the big issue is? Now with AI that when so there's been a couple of letters one of them's asking for like 6 million bitcoin but they're like we need proof of life it's very difficult in this day and age to trust proof of life like Vogue we're resharing videos of penguins playing the tambourine like we don't have a clue what's going on so how do you get proof of life off your mother anyway whatever it's a dark conversation but

32:29I went to see the film of the moment.

32:32Joanne McNally:Wuthering Heights. Wuthering Heights. Amazing. I hated it. I'm shocked. Jokes. I loved it so much. I haven't stopped thinking about it.

32:45Vogue Williams:Stop. I am dead. I'm going to go see that this weekend. So Emerald Fennell, she's the director and she did Saltburn.

32:53Joanne McNally:And another one. Jo, what was the other one she did? Promising Young Woman. Promising Young Woman.

32:58Vogue Williams:stunning. Yeah, she is incredible. She makes these amazing movies but like the people who were kind of like dissing it at the start, they're these like mega, mega Wuthering Heights fans and she's like, this is my take on it. It's not going to be exactly what you think it is in the book and that's what makes me so excited. Like all the clothes, everything, like the actors, Jacob Elordi, Margot Robbie, I can't wait. I'm so glad you loved it.

33:21Joanne McNally:I went to it with Louise O 'Neill, you know. Incredibly talented Irish writer and I was because there's been so much negative talk about Wuthering Heights and I was like I don't know I don't know what I'm expecting here and when we were going to the cinema Louise was like oh apparently it's really horny and I was like oh it's not quite chaste like I read Wuthering Heights years ago in school, college I can't remember and fine yeah good book like classic book whatever Emily Bronte like tick tick tick blah blah blah but I couldn't I knew Heathcliff Cathy I knew the general consensus but it's gone from my brain as everything is do you know what I mean and I was like oh I don't know what to expect and she was like it's really horny and I was like oh is it not really chaste like it's an Emily Broughton she's like no it's an adoption blah blah blah went in the fucking second it started I was like I am so into this it is epic I'm gonna use the term cinematography even though I don't know what that means the soundtrack is stunning Charlie XCX the first song think you're gonna die up in this which I've listened to religiously ever since it is the the the Moors oh Jacob Watts' face who I can never remember Jacob Elordi with the amazing handbags Margaret Robbie my friend was like I don't buy into it I don't believe that she a woman who looks like Margaret Robbie is gonna have a sexual awakening I was like dude as my friend Louise O 'Neill said can people stop banging on about the representation and just enjoy the costumes and the fingering it is fucking fantastic.

34:54Joanne McNally:I left aroused and sad. I loved it. I was crying and you know how medicated I am Vogue. It's very hard for me to cry. It's hard to get a tear. They are so in love and I have not felt that love in so long. That like lust, desire. There's so much panting.

35:12Vogue Williams:Is it like that love at the very start of a relationship when you're just

35:15Joanne McNally:like. There is the slow burn love like we're best friends love and then there is also a version of love where it's like I want to ride you all day all night I am your ride jockey blah blah blah and that's what this is I think they actually have both I think Cathy and he can have both I'm quite jealous and I was like it's so long since I felt like that and I was crying and Louise was like are you okay hun and I was like no it's remind I miss romance oh the longing in it it was gorgeous

35:45Vogue Williams:can you like yeah but think about this this is great for you to have an awakening because you can have that You can't folk Not everyone has that love Joanne you can have it Jo We can't anymore because we're married for so long It's not ever going to be like that again When I see things like that I'm like I won't feel that again Not that I'm not in love at my husband It's never the start When you're literally can't get enough of each other Honest to God You're like licking each other's heads and stuff And now I'm like no no no Don't you dare touch my toothbrush as we know

36:21Joanne McNally:Esther Perel my best friend and confidant who doesn't know I exist she's like desire is in the unknown that's where desire lives it's in the unknown so as soon as you know someone but I will say for Heathcliff and Cathy for Heathcliff and Cathy it's in the known it's they know they're like she's like whatever part of the soul my soul is his soul oh and just the again the cinematography the oh the I want to see all the costumes

36:51Vogue Williams:yeah I want to see everything like that

36:53Joanne McNally:so people are fucking snobs there was some guy online or some woman I don't know they were like oh Emily Bronte died of tuberculosis but Wuthering Heights is this is the worst thing that's ever happened to her I was like shut up imagine Emily Bronte was like how dare people still be talking about me in 2026 she was completely ignored when she was alive and now everyone's like worshipping at her altar she'd be off spending her royalties

37:14Vogue Williams:I know but these are people that just like can't move on in life and they're like they're still stuck in the past like Wuthering Heights yes that was the old Wuthering Heights this is the new Wuthering Heights we're bringing it into the whatever century

37:27Joanne McNally:it's in inverted commas Wuthering Heights it's like yeah comparing this adaption of Wuthering Heights to her dying of tuberculosis it's a clickbaity bullshit thing and I'll fucking say this and you can quote me on this Margaret Robbie and Jacob Watts' face are full blown riding I don't care what Anyone says. Allegedly, blah, blah, blah. Sorry. When I say I was vibrating off my seat with the chemistry between the two of them, I have never seen anything like it.

37:57Vogue Williams:Jesus, he is such... The eyes... He is a dirty ride, isn't he? He is so gorgeous.

38:03Joanne McNally:I also think he's drank his own Kool-Aid and thinks he's way more interesting than he is. Have you seen the size of him? All these fake paparazzi shots with his holding his book and drinking his fucking flat white. I'm not into it.

38:11Vogue Williams:Joanne, I saw... I don't take that on board. He's tall. I saw him saying to the past... Yeah, he's tall. So who gives a fuck? I don't care. I don't care if his face looks like it came out of a meat grinder. He's tall. But this is the problem with height.

38:22Joanne McNally:I dated an ex-con because he was tall. This is the problem with height. It leads you down all sorts of paths. But the chemistry between the two of them. Fuck. God, I couldn't bear

38:34Vogue Williams:my right of a wife, Margot Robbie,

38:36Joanne McNally:to be honest. And her fella, her husband was part of the production because I think her husband and her are of a production company now. So he was on set. Listen, maybe it's acting. I don't know. I don't act. but you'd have to you know the way in a polyamorous relationship they say you have to

38:50Vogue Williams:unlearn jealousy you'd have to unlearn jealousy as an actor because that would be

38:54Joanne McNally:fucking unbearable to watch yeah well the whole Buddhist thing is like you don't own anything you like to let it all flow free do you know your man in that thing yeah oh yeah yeah Joe do the work do the work yeah yeah I'm on it now yeah yeah do the work seconds away the guy in the thing the guy in the thing where he's a murderer but everyone fancies him mum oh yeah Ted Bundy nope everyone fancied Ted Bundy I don't think anyone fancied

39:18Vogue Williams:everyone fancied Ted Bundy he was really charming supposedly

39:22Joanne McNally:no no no no there's an no there's an that's true Google it and that's why he got away with so much

39:30Vogue Williams:because he was so charming

39:32Joanne McNally:potentially yes and as the improv gang goes but this is there was a sitcom where the guy was a murderer and he's really hot Jeffrey Dahmer no he's a modern man playing the part it's fictional he's on Netflix he's he's religious as an actor no American Psycho no no

39:55Vogue Williams:Mindhunter you

39:56Joanne McNally:is it you you oh you is it you Joe check you yeah you with Ben Padgley

40:04Vogue Williams:Padgley Ben or whatever his name is get the name get your man's name up

40:07Joanne McNally:Ben Badgley Ben Badgley this is why we work together we're mentally connected yeah that was seamless

40:15Vogue Williams:we're in sync we finish each other sentences all the time Ben Badgley yes we got there he

40:23Joanne McNally:has asked that he has no more sex scenes in any of his films or kissing scenes because he says it's disrespectful to his wife

40:32Vogue Williams:I'll never forget that time I went for that McDonald's commercial I'll never forget I say

40:37Joanne McNally:sorry Vogue I say grow the fuck up but anyway sorry Vogue

40:39Vogue Williams:no no no I like honestly it brings it I saw the commercial I know who got it over me It was Ashton B I saw the commercial Oh yeah And basically They were like Come I've told you the story before And they were like Come And you have to like Kiss It's McDonald's I obviously think I'm fucking auditioning Oh yeah yeah yeah Because I was Honestly We were swallowing Each other's heads And I had a boyfriend At the time And he was really He was really annoyed That I had to do that Sorry It's the job Like what are you Talking about

41:08Joanne McNally:Even in The Lion King There's a bit of action Isn't there That's why I like it I said to Spen I said is there not a kind of sex is there no sex scene in the lion's how do the little lions come out then when he hangs him off the cliff circle of life how does he come out is there not a sex scene you don't see the sex it's insinuation it's implied fine yeah yeah yeah well I've obviously joined the dots and put something else in the middle I'm pretty sure I saw two lions riding anyway go on folks

41:37Vogue Williams:that might have been a different tab you had opened but yeah how dare you you don't know what I'm going through She has the dark web, guys. She's got the dark web. I don't remember what she said about that horse that time.

41:49Joanne McNally:That was a moral issue. I said the horse would rather be eaten than ridden. And I had a lot of support online.

41:58Vogue Williams:It's a thought exercise.

41:59Joanne McNally:It was a philosophical conundrum.

42:02Vogue Williams:Would you rather eat the horse or ride the horse? Was that it?

42:05Joanne McNally:Yeah, yeah. And I said I'd... Yeah, fine. Look, I'm a stick to my guns. I said I'd ride it. and that was a kindness to the horse.

42:13Vogue Williams:I think I would too. Now that you say it like that, I feel like I've moved on in life in the years that we've said it before and I don't want to eat the horse. I'd feel bad. I love horses. They're very gentle souls and I would be a gentle lover.

42:27Joanne McNally:Well, I'll tell you, after spending Valentine's Day on my own, I'm fully willing to ride the horse.

42:33Vogue Williams:Even if we're not going to kill him, we're just going to ride it. No, no, no.

42:36Joanne McNally:We don't need to get into the nitty gritty. There's no need. Well. Anyway, Wuthering Heights. Like, game changer. Stunning. Loved it. Everyone giving out about it. Cop on. We know it's not the original Wuthering Heights. You'll love it. I'd go again. No, I'm not here. I'm back in Dublin for shows. But if I was here, I would go.

42:58Vogue Williams:Do you know which one? As you like, would you like to come to Wuthering Heights this weekend?

43:02Joanne McNally:I'd love to. I can't make it. Thank you so much for understanding that I need to go. And I'll tell you this and I'll tell you no more. And you're both going to laugh at me now. because obviously I kind of had a bit of a instant with the wicker thing. I didn't look at my watch once. It flew in.

43:18Vogue Williams:How long is it actually? I haven't heard that. 45 minutes.

43:22Joanne McNally:It's a tight 20.

43:25Vogue Williams:How long is the movie? I can't go to a movie if it's more than two hours. I physically can't do it. I'll have to wait until it comes on Sky Store.

43:31Joanne McNally:I honestly got, and I have the attention span of a tic-tac, I did not look at my watch once. Two hours, 16 minutes. that's a lot for me and I wasn't even on the Adderall
