In short
The hosts return to the podcast after having a baby, then riff on celebrity news and viral sports/Olympics controversies—especially Raygun (breakdancing at the Olympics) and a high-intensity “high rocks” athlete accused of bowel incontinence during competition. They also discuss baby naming, hospital mishaps (a Santa hat), and the logistics of postpartum life, plus touring/plans for an America run.
Guests
No guests appear in the transcript; it’s a two-host conversation (Vogue and Jo, plus “Spenny” mentioned as a partner).
Key claims
Raygun qualified fairly but the overall standard in Australia was low; she wasn’t “at the races,” leaned on charm/pizzazz, and later gained Netflix exposure. The “high rocks” athlete should have been pulled/quit because it’s unsafe and unfair to other competitors. Sydney Sweeney’s nude gambling ad is framed as culture-war fuel rather than a major backlash issue.
Notable examples
Jay-Z concert while postpartum; baby name shortlist (Elvis, Remy Valentine, Rocky); Raygun’s “kangaroo” performance; Paula Radcliffe/other athletes’ bathroom-related incidents; Sydney Sweeney’s Novig ad.

0:04Joanne McNally:Have we lost the art of ringing in sick? What the fuck was I on? If anyone's thinking of taking in a family of hamsters, please contact Vogue for a brainstorm on identity. This woman sh**t herself physically, Ray gun sh**t herself emotionally and spiritually. My neighbour's dogs were called Sam and Ella. Two golden retrievers. I was like, Sam and Ella! We each get you a little clown horn that every time you say something that you don't mean, you go... Not true, not true. They have to then try and clean up and... Okay, there's the limit. We found it. Okay, yeah, we fit the wall.
0:47Hello and welcome. We're back.
0:49Joanne McNally:We're back, baby. We're back, baby, with a baby. We're back. We've had the baby. is still living with me but he might move to Joanne for nights. We haven't decided yet but I think that's how we're going to split our time. Well I did when I met him he was I only meet babies when they're sleeping when I met Remy Valentine. Cool name by the way. I mean It was Rocky for a day by the way. It was Rocky for a day. I love Rocky. I think it's a great name. Remy is giving Hollywood. It's giving Hollywood or a stripper. Remy Valentine. Yeah, I will say Hollywood. I will say Hollywood. We had no name. I was really furious about Elvis in the hospital because I was like, well, he's come out and he looks like Elvis.
1:42So this is awkward. Yeah. I knew that we couldn't have Elvis. And then it was between Remy and Rocky. And for the whole day, I was like, no, he's Rocky. Rocky. And I'd like set up his like cotton stuff and like named it Rocky and like everything was Rocky. and then the next day the day I left hospital I woke up and I said that's not Rocky who is that that's not Rocky and I was like we left the hospital with no name and then I registered him and I had a week to choose the name and then I was like actually I love Remy and then I but I hated Remy a few days before so I would say if you're having a baby choose the name before because you're like you're not yourself
2:21Joanne McNally:after yeah but they do people do say now obviously as someone who hasn't birthed a child yet. I'm not familiar with the experience, but they do say sometimes people will have had a baby name confirmed like in their head and then when the baby comes out, they're like, oh God, no, that's not a Derek at all or whatever. There's a book called, have you read the names? Derek! Well, I mean, no one's Derek, to be fair. I have an uncle called Derek. Oh God. Yeah, that generation, Derek was probably quite acceptable then. yeah but there's a book called The Names which it's literally all about that like the life that your child has underneath different names and it opens with the woman on her way to the naming what do you call it naming shop what do you call it the registry office yeah and her husband wants her to call the child Gordon after himself and she's having a panic attack oh I know that book if I call this child Gordon it's going to have an awful awful life it's a really good book it's quite a sad book no yes it's quite sad.
3:24Joanne McNally:They're so good at reviews. I do. It's quite sad. I know. Is that definitely what it's called? I do think it's really important to choose a good strong name but I was going on ChatGVT the whole time because I was like this is the only person. Really? Yeah, because I was like I don't want a name that's super. So he was Sonny Valentine at one point and the reason he wasn't that is because we found out there was a character on Hollyoaks called Sonny Valentine and we were like Okay, we can't do Sonny Valentine now. Then I wanted him to be called Fox and they were like, Vogue, please, it's the same vein as Elvis.
3:58Just don't do it. Then he was going to be called Alba because it's an Irish name. A-I-L-B-H-E. Alba, no? Alba is a girl's name. Yeah. Alba, yeah. But Alba is a girl's name over here. A-I-L-B-H-E. That's the Irish saying. It's a boy's name in Ireland, Alba. But in England, it's a girl's name.
4:20Joanne McNally:Is Alva not spelled A-I-L-B-H-E, the girl's name in Ireland? I don't know. This one was, I listened to, still chat GBT, tell me. Then Remy, I was like, is Remy really popular? And I was like, it's not really popular. Well, it's really popular amongst old French men. I don't mind old French men. They're on the way out. So there's no one in his class going to be called Remy. Folk, just to stop, and I think you made all the right choices, but Alva, just to stop you, that would be like calling him Sinead. Alba is an Irish girl's name No Maybe I'm spelling it wrong There is an Irish boy's name Called Alba But it's spelt like that A-I-L-B-H-E I think you're about to call this Baby boy Saoirse Or No there's nothing wrong With boys having girls names I'll tick tick on all that A-I-L-B-E Oh sorry No H Grant No H Sorry I understand Jesus Christ Listen to these Tiger, River, Buddy, Rocket, Elvie.
5:22What the fuck was I on?
5:25Joanne McNally:Wow. Well, I've loved the dog names if anyone wants to. Brilliant, yeah. If anyone's thinking of taking in a family of hamsters, please contact Vogue for a brainstorm on identity. Oh, my God. Remember he was Lucky Bear for a while, but Svenny was like, that's a dog's name. I'm not having it. then I am still unlucky to call someone lucky. It is. You do feel like you're chancing faith there. You're kind of nagging destiny. But it's only since, because obviously I'm reading all about, not reading all about the Mormons, because I'm going to Salt Lake City. I'm reading a tiny bit about the Mormons and I know that they love these kind of whimsy names.
6:04Joanne McNally:So yeah. So now I'm not shocked by anything. Do you know what I mean? You could have called them. I'm kind of shocked when I read that list back, to be honest with you. Airfryer Garden House. And I would have been like, fair. Air Fryer, great name. Nothing wrong with that. All is well. Baby, 10 fingers, 10 toes, two eyes, two ears, head, neck. I'd like to clear up the Santa hat as well. Oh. What was this? I missed it. Because you know the way, the first pictures that you get of the baby, and I'm a very organised person. I had everything in like those little bags. So like his going home outfit, his other outfit.
6:39I forgot to pack a hat. And the only hat the hospital had was this Santa hat. and it was basically a red and white woolen hat. I think it had a bubble. And everyone was like, why is the kid wearing a Santa hat? I hadn't got a hat. There was no other hat. So that was why Remy was wearing a Santa hat in his first pictures, which he'll be thrilled about when he sees them with his other. Do they have to wear hats leaving? Is that like a rule? Not necessarily. Like they lose a lot of heat from their heads.
7:08Joanne McNally:Yeah. My God, do they what? As in, I only know myself because now I've got loads of stenos in again. I've gained heat in my head and I'm back sweating to the point where they have to keep stopping filming to blot my tash so I understand I can see how yeah cut I'm like oh they do checks on everyone get someone get the back of her neck no just me just me in front of a whole TV audience so so yeah so that makes sense so you're just basically it's just because you'd be worried the baby's cold do you put them in little mittens you can but that's more for them scratching themselves ah He hasn't worn mittens since.
7:45He's okay. Cute.
7:47Joanne McNally:It was a lovely day he had by all. And then as they were cutting the umbilical cord, you went to see Jay-Z. Unbelievable. I was having a real, real Debbie Downer day that day. I forgot about that when you've just had a baby. Your hormones will crash. And I hadn't slept well. And it was T's birthday that day. We'd gone out for lunch and la la la la. We'd had a lovely day. And then I was like, I had asked our friend Jess for tickets and he gave me really nice tickets. And I was like, I really want to go. But then I was like, I don't want to go because I'm so tired and I feel really like sad today and I just don't want to go anywhere.
8:23And then I was like, I can't, I can't ask for the tickets and then not go. So it's like, we have to go. So we went. And as soon as I walked in, I was absolutely thrilled. It was, it was on, like he was so good. I'm getting a stab vest. he was wearing these stab vests on stage did you see him? He looks so cool I love a stab vest for safety and fashion yeah I've just gotten a pair of Timberlands as well Spenny was looking at Jay-Z and he was like I'm going to break my Timberlands back out and I was like please don't
8:57Joanne McNally:everything comes full circle do you see Caterpillar do you know the brand Caterpillar they're after collabing with Savorski the Diamante company. Sure do you not remember Doc Martens when you were younger and you'd get the flowery ones. No, were they just these are actual bejazzled like bejazzled boots. I could get into them. I like Swarovski or whatever it's called. Swarovski. I mean, I can't pronounce it so it doesn't matter. They're not for me. It's not. I don't like the style of it. But even I because I obviously worry about sometimes what people will say to you because people feel very entitled to say things to you and give you shit about stuff.
9:34Joanne McNally:And I was like, I hope she's okay going to this concert. I'd imagine are people not going to be like, where's the baby? Is it not all that? Well, no, because I only actually missed one feed. So, and, and it's quite frankly none of their business and I had a great time. I don't regret it at all. Since when did that stop them? He was at home waiting for Santa and his hat. He was fine. Yeah, fine. I just was like, I wonder if she's going to get abused for this thing. Ah, God, it was so good. Now, I had booked in another concert for the next week and I had to pull out of that. I had pushed it too far.
10:07I was really glad I went to Jay-Z though because he's just the coolest and I really want to go and see Celine have you seen her in No everyone's talking about it No I heard it's great God I'd say that would be unbelievable
10:19Joanne McNally:Obviously we're across the Macklemore Sheeran scandal Are you going to talk about it? I mean Well We should say that at time of recording it's Wednesday I think by the time it's Friday I think by the time Friday comes on I think that the it will be cancelled yeah I just think that like there's certain there's certain like I I would be a massive Ed Sheeran fan he's really fucked up I mean this is it's a big fuck up yeah he's really he's fucked up badly as apologies go and like it's not also Ed's like I don't take political sides like you have done before Ed to be fair now you're just full transfer when it was Ukraine yeah yeah you have but it's the apology it's the whole thing this is why people need publicists like Like, Ed.
11:09Do you know how many people would have been working on that statement, Sean? No. That's the equivalent of when Theodore goes to me, stay, stay. That's the equivalent of the apology that Ed came in.
11:21Joanne McNally:I'm sorry you feel like this. Stay. The suggestion is I've done nothing wrong. He didn't even put that thing through ChatGVT. Like, it was literally. You're selling out arenas in America. You're telling me the promoter is controlling everything and you're not. Get a grip, Edward. Yeah, someone was tweeting something the other day and they were like, Macklemore doing the Macklemost. And it's all just like, he's being kind of elevated to God status now. And I mean, in fairness to him, like I will say, Macklemore's music, I'm not really that aware of it, but I always knew he was a sound person. Do you know what I mean?
11:58Joanne McNally:Like I've seen him in interviews, I've seen him talk, and you can tell this man's got a moral backbone. He's got a moral compass. And yeah, and he's been, he was. everybody else following suit yeah but I think all the other support acts following suit are just like I think that that's really incredible because it's such a big gig for them and they all did say that like it's a really big big gig for them and to be able to just stand behind what they believe and to come out and just to pull out of the tour I just like it kind of like it'll bring a tear to your eye with everyone coming together like that I'm like it's just so lovely so nice to see
12:40I forget everything at the moment. Someone goes to me, oh, maybe you're going through the menopause. I was like, I literally have a newborn baby in my arms. I'm not, I don't have the menopause.
12:50Joanne McNally:I think you can have a baby when you're in the menopause, when you're in the prairie. I know, I mean. She said I was going through menopause. I was like, I'm not sure. The second a woman over 28 forgets a single thing or has a bead of sweat in her face, everyone's like, menopause menopause it's like I've had nine bottles of wine that's why I can't remember anything like no it's the menopause it's the menopause or I'm saying I'm trying to say it's the menopause and they're like you've had nine bottles of wine it's the menopause Vogue I don't know if you know but I'm going to America next week for stop it a tour yeah it's a tour that I much to my shame kind of forgot to plug and my god does it show Well you did a great job of plugging the rest of it so now we're just starting on America and we're very excited, you're going everywhere Yeah, I ran out of plugging steam I will say there's only so much of yourself you can plug and before you give up you're just bored out of your own mind Okay, so I'm not going to go through the dates I'm just going to name the places, right because I don't want to take up too much of the pod God forbid I'd use the pod to elevate my stand-up career in America we're going Seattle Portland San Francisco couple of shows there Sacramento we're going Denver we're going Salt Lake City I've got three nights in Las Vegas FML oh that's fun oh my god come here to me my dad's friend Swiggy is going to your show in San Francisco and he wants you to go to the Knob Hill Cafe where I used to work that has the most delicious pasta after your show and go to the Pistone so when you do your show in San Francisco you can go see Swiggy There you go.
14:34Joanne McNally:Sorry, how have you managed to successfully plug the Knob Cafe in Sacramento better than I plugged my entire American tour? I've just plugged, well, consider San Francisco, sold out. You're welcome. San Francisco. Wow. I believe we were in Las Vegas, were we? So, Las Vegas, three nights. And I'm not saying FML because it's Las Vegas. I love Las Vegas. It's just three nights, three nights. It's a lot of shows. Then we've got Phoenix, Vancouver, Houston, Austin. A couple of shows there. Dallas, Chicago, Washington, Philadelphia. A couple of shows there. Philadelphia, four shows there. Boston, Boston, New York, New York.
15:14Joanne McNally:Two shows. That's a Netflix special. The earlier show still has tickets. Then Toronto. So just a few bits and bobs. If you could just put some music behind that show and include some links. yeah I'll put something classy behind it to be honest it's actually do you know what that needs Jo that needs saxophones getting louder that's what that needs
15:41Joanne McNally:yeah we need the saxophones getting louder for that one some of them are actually fine but I think you're going to have a lovely time and by weirder I just mean places I haven't been before yeah it's basically I'm just going I'm on a J1 yeah I'd love that I'd love to go to Austin and Dallas that would be so cool that is kind of cool I'm actually really looking forward to that I'd love to ask you to get me a pair of cowboy boots but I'm still waiting on my American Fanta so I don't think you're going to get me cowboy boots well I have to pack for two months so I can imagine there's not going to be an inch of space unless I wear them home on my hands I ain't getting anything else you did tell me ten days ago you were starting to pack has that not happened yet, no?
16:17did I? I'm going to be organised, Vogue I'm going to go home I'm going to go home that's pretty hallucinating I saw some form of packing on the Instagram but then I thought she's not going to keep that up. Not at all.
16:29Joanne McNally:I started to pack and then decided to do a giant clear out which I began and haven't touched the room since and everything's still there's bras hanging off the lights. So you know the way that obviously we loved the name Elvis. Anyway, so Remy had all babies are born with some kind of jaundice. So Remy had like jaundice but his eyes were quite yellow and stuff like that. So when I went to the midwife they were like you need to go back. Yeah, you have to take him back into the hospital. just to make sure they put you under like some light or something I assumed it was all the drinking you did when you were pregnant you gave him liver failure
17:04I don't know what it was I thought he was a fun baby God I was so not fun towards the end of the pregnancy I know anyway so we went we went in and I was waiting for the doctor and the doctor came in and she just goes Elvis and I was like oh my god she listened to the pod yeah so she listened to the pod and I was like When she said that, I was like, oh no, it sounds so good coming out of your mouth. Now, I really like Remy.
17:30Joanne McNally:I should just start calling him Elvis. I think Remy's a great name. I love Remy. I really do. Yeah, I think you've done really well there. Okay, well, we talk about things that have happened this week. So much has happened since we've been away. We've lost Dolly Parton. It's been a lot going on. Kelly Osbourne has come out against her sister. And Jack. Neither of them speak to the sisters, supposedly. I know, yeah. I always think that's really sad, but it does happen. Like, we've spoken about this before, because you and I are really close to our families. But, like, it is really sad when it gets to that point where you don't feel like you can make amends or want to be pals.
18:08Joanne McNally:Speaking publicly about it like that, when your sister, and I like Kelly Osborne, but when your sister doesn't have a public platform, speaking on a public platform about someone who doesn't have a public platform, never sits right with me, if I'm honest. except unless we're doing it slagging off an ex that's different that is different we don't use specific names we don't we don't actually in fairness and because we have a strange and like kind of questionable dating history when we talk about someone in a negative light it could literally be one of 68 men so we always try and keep it you know no one's identifiable I would say sorry I needed to bring something up at you two speaking of that so remember we made the joke the joke being the operative word of me saying wondering why I wasn't invited to my ex's wedding obviously I wasn't invited we haven't spoken since we broke up well someone asked me about it in an interview and it came up in my google alert I saw oh you saw yeah none of you sent it to me I didn't send it to you either I was like fuck them I was like I'm not sending this for now you're not going to be happy about this?
19:21He thinks that I was serious. They've made it out like I was serious. I'm like, oh my God. Did he contact you? Like, what the hell? No, he spoke about it in an interview. Oh. Joe, I have another bone to pick with you, Joe, about my other ex, Harry Styles. Did someone not send you the article? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Did they send you the article? No. Harry Styles, it wasn't my ex, by the way. That's a joke. I've never, I don't even think I've met him.
19:52Joanne McNally:We need to get you a little clown horn that every time you say something that you don't mean, you go, eh, eh, eh, eh. Not true, not true. I will say, for your ex in the wedding, I would say, in fair, he's like, all is fair. Like, if you're going to talk about me, I'm going to respond. Do you know what I mean? Oh, 100%. But I just died of embarrassment because I was like, oh my God, now he'll think that, like, I was genuinely thinking I should be inclined to say. There's no way in hell he thought that was real. Come on. Unless he's had a lobotomy. Oh God. Who would think? He would know through the grapevine that everything gets to it.
20:28Joanne McNally:Anyway, I just need to be more careful with my words which is what I always forget to be careful. You need a clown horn. Big pair of shoes. I just need a muzzle. A muzzle. Like stop talking. I'm going to say something sarcastic passing my giant clown shoes and put me into my teeny car. Oh my God. I actually have a clown costume downstairs because that's what I'm dressing up for Halloween with the kids. Are you? I'm surprised. Are you not? I'm surprised you don't do gay Halloween. What's gay Halloween? Gay Halloween. Is it galloween by any chance? But that would make really, that would make a lot of sense.
21:09Joanne McNally:A gay Halloween to me is kind of anecdotally where the gay community take kind of people who were viral that year, they take kind of like ridiculous pieces of pop culture and turn them into costumes. Like, so for example, I was doing something, I was writing something the other day and they were talking about this fictional scene where Nigella Lawson threw a potato at someone and I was like, well if that had happened, gay Halloween would be dressed as the potato. Do you know what I mean? That's kind of the best example I can give of it. no I mean I'm a bit lazy with the old costumes now I just ordered them online because it's just for trick or treating purposes do you know who was huge of Halloween which leads me into my first story that I'd like to discuss do you know what was one of the biggest Halloween costumes I always get my ears confused probably last year was our favourite breakdancer and Olympian Ray Gunn now I don't know I always think that these things poor Raygun I think these things are huge to me if they're huge to me they're huge to everyone and then I'll talk Can I ask you a question can I ask you a question of course about Raygun yes so like was Raygun actually like a professional breakdancer outside of the Olympics or did what happened there why did that happen at the Olympics because she doesn't look like a breakdance this is a great question and I'm glad you asked it am I missing something or was she just let me open my Raygun notes show up Sven, he's gone to a golf day today, right?
22:42He's just showing up. He hasn't played golf in six years. He hasn't hit a ball in six years. And he doesn't even have a golf out, but he's going in runners and suits trousers. They look like golf clothes. And it's televised. I'm like, how do people do this to themselves? He's going to be the ray gun of this week. Wait, something will come up today about Sven.
23:03Joanne McNally:But he's so insane. He'll probably end up winning the US Open or some shit. He's just, I mean, that man. Has the confidence. Does it work like that? He has the confidence of Putin, Trump. Not the politics. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying he has the self-belief. You know what I mean? I'm trying to think of someone. I said to him. Charlie Sheen. Charlie Sheen. Back in the day, during his winning days. Remember him? Yeah, winning. I said to him last night, I was like, you've got to pull out. He was talking to Mark Wright on his team. Mark Wright was like, are you joking me? why was that like it's just it's the most insane thing to do to go and play golf when you haven't he's never going to pull out you've got four kids he's got four kids the man has ever pulled out in his life he's not going to pull out of a golf competition he doesn't know what the term means

24:02Joanne McNally:so Ray Gunn so such a good question Vogue how did Ray Gunn end up at the Olympics why was she set why did she get ridiculed all that jazz and why was she why do people think well I know why she got ridiculed I just don't know why she was at the Olympics yes so basically she's actually a lecturer so she's an academic by day and then there's she's a B girl as they call it by night which is basically like break dancing right but she in fairness she won the qualifying event fair and square like there's a bit there was a kind of a conspiracy theory because her husband is her coach so there was a conspiracy theory that he kind of got her in but like even her competitors who i don't think are huge fans of hers who took part in the documentary all said no no she like she got she did get through fair and square on the day the the general consensus is the standard just wasn't that good now the standard in australia in this b dancing scene isn't good the skills aren't there or it's an access situation the people that are good can't afford to go to the qualifying events that's kind of the general vibe that they do have good times.
25:01Joanne McNally:So she got through, but then, like, you have to kind of qualify through international. Anyway, it became very clear she wasn't at the races. It compared to, kind of like Eddie the Eel. Do you remember Eddie the Eel back in the 70s? Eddie the Eagle. Eddie the Eagle. Who was the eel? Not Eddie. Was it? Was it? Eddie the Eagle was the ski jumper, wasn't he? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and the eel was the swimmer who's only ever swam in a paddling pool and then went to the Olympics. Remember him? Imagine she got this right, we just laughed in her face. If the standard in your country... Is it? Eric the eel competed at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
25:48He had limited training, learning to swim just eight months before the game. He had facilities, practiced in a 13-meter hotel pool for a few hours a week, and he was a wild card entry. did he do well?
26:02Joanne McNally:I know did he do well? no he didn't do well no he didn't do well he was the spirit he was the spirit we would say Mr. Cognizuality kind of vibes wasn't he? everyone was like yeah Eric because it took him quite a while to finish the race how do people do it though? he was half the speed of his other competitors oh no like I just I couldn't put myself on the chopping block like that I couldn't be embarrassed like that that's one situation where if I was part of the Olympic panel I'd be like, get this man some performing enhancing. Like, this is one doping I'm prepared to turn a blind eye to. Yeah, let him take it because it took him ages, didn't it, Joe?
26:41Yeah, he did it in one minute 52 seconds, which is more than twice as slow as everybody else.
26:48Joanne McNally:I mean, to be honest, Joe, I'd be in there with my armbands and my pill needles. So fair play to him. So tell us about your one. Yeah, so basically the situation is you can qualify for the Olympics if the people you're qualifying against in your own country, if the standard's low, so if you're not very good, you'll get through if the people around you are worse, is ultimately the lesson here. What should we be applying for then in Ireland? Kerplunk. A little game of Twister. It was the first time breakdancing was in the Olympics, and it's now been taken out of the Olympics, and people are kind of saying that that's Reagan's fault.
27:26Joanne McNally:But the documentary was, just kind of the journey of it all and like that's literally what happened she just wasn't good and then she got there and she realised uh oh I'm not that good she knew before because she was like I can't do any of the technical stuff so I'm going to try and get on get by on like riz and charm and pizzazz and then that didn't happen it felt like an interpretive dance a lot of it well the last round didn't she bounce around like a kangaroo she did didn't she oh god she did so she three rounds she had her ass handed to her round one and round two round three she decided she was going to spice it up and the documentary is actually really well made and it's kind of she's you know it's very remember Over the Top where the guy used to be a professional arm wrestler and then he'd turn his cap the other way and then he'd always win.
28:10Joanne McNally:Do you remember this? Over the Top! Do you remember him? Sylvester Stallone. Brilliant film. Jesus Christ. Do you want this? It was the 80s. He was a truck driver he was trying to build a relationship with his son they used to go to arm wrestling matches and he would always be losing and then he would turn his cap around and then he would win. Why he didn't turn his cap around at the start? I do not know, but it was great for the Jeopardy of the film. A bit of Jeopardy. Okay, so that's out on Netflix now, Raycon. It's out on Netflix now, but the funniest part of the whole thing. I don't know if I can watch it again though.
28:37I can't watch her doing that again. It's too, I feel like, I feel embarrassed and I don't like feeling so embarrassed for her.
28:43Joanne McNally:The dancing, the kangaroo dancing at the end, she knew she was losing and she said, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to, it's like, I'm going to do a... Psycho's coming out as a leprechaun trying to win something by being like, look, I'm a leprechaun. on. Like it was just... It's exactly like that. It's exactly like that. She did it as kind of a love letter to Australia the last bit where she was like doing the kangaroo and everything. It didn't work. We know that. It didn't work. Right. But she said she was literally a meme before she'd even walked off the court. They're like, it's going to blow over.
29:16Joanne McNally:It's fine. Just don't look at the comments for a couple of days. Be grand. You know, there's worse things going on in the world. Huh? Turns out there's not. She got absolutely the annihilators. But you know what the really funny part is? Her husband, I mean, let that love find me. He is besotted by her. Right? So everything she did that was, like, not great. He said, I was struck by the beauty of her performance. He's like, I was mesmerized. The creativity of it. And then it cuts to another bee dancer who actually competed against her to get to the Olympics. And she said, the second I saw her perform, I knew she was going to need psychological help.
29:56I think, I actually think it was just the timing of that because it was obviously a slow news week, you know, and sometimes they just pick up on something. But look at her now. She got a Netflix out of it. So actually, would I take the shame and then get to have a Netflix? Maybe. Maybe. It might be worth it.
30:12Joanne McNally:She's also a window wiper because, you know, one of the moves she did, she's like, like kind of, it's almost like she's doing a set up. So someone turned her into a window wiper. I mean, the shame is deep. The shame is deep. She's like, look, I was cringe. but you know it kind of was sad at the end she was like I just want to I just want to have the confidence to dance again oh please no no I just I can't no come on guys come on no I want to have the confidence to dance again I just don't I don't think dancing's for everybody it's not for me it's not for you and it's not for Raygun well it's certainly not break dancing I think we're more Zumba girls let's be honest we're not we're not break dancers we know our line you know that I'm a street funk dancer so that's what I just I forgot that you are a street funk dancer.
31:01Joanne McNally:Yeah. Yes, I am. Yeah, I'm more the Macarena. I'll be honest. I'm culturally aware. Actually, no, hold on. I can't do the Macarena. I'm Irish. We don't have anything. We have Irish dancing. Are you mad? That's an amazing dance. And I've always said, if you're Irish, and like, because I have done the Irish dancing for Spenny's parents, where they all do this thing where they, I don't know if it's an English thing or they're quite posh. Maybe it's that. They all have a party trick and mine's Irish dancing because I don't know if I'm Irish dancing or not. They think I'm pretty enticed. I might call my next show Liver Dance.
31:39That's not bad actually.
31:41Joanne McNally:It's good, isn't it? Well, just if we're talking about kind of the Irishness of it all and then there's always alcohol in the show titles and although that does sound like a swan song before you hit the Betty Ford, if I'm honest, doesn't it? It does. I mean, well, we all kind of had questions around paenophile, if I'm honest, so I think liver tan seems quite day. It's a statement. It's a statement piece. It's a statement piece. You got away with it. Tell you what, I wouldn't get away with that. You would. You'd have your clown horn now. You will get away with it.
32:20so that yeah the next thing that i saw oh god the high rocks girl her name's joanna something that actually feels worse than the ray gun was the girl joanna wetrick who is a 22 year old australian high rocks athlete i mean you can't have missed this it's all over the internet she basically had bell incontinence I'm trying to be really respectful of Joanne's which is here, she doesn't feel talking about stuff
32:53Joanne McNally:No, I don't like scatology So we'll call it bell incontinence and so when you do high rocks, you're doing like a kilometre run and then you're doing like 20 burpees and then a kilometre run and then you're doing like 20 arm races or something like that, I haven't done it but it's this really serious competition, she actually went on to win the competition but everybody is like up in arms because they don't think that she should have run because she had, she basically soiled the whole course. And like anyone else competing, you don't want to be running and touching someone else's bowling confidence.
33:30Joanne McNally:You can say it, folk. You can say it. I'm making an exception today. The woman shot herself. It was all, I mean, it was like waterfalls down the back of her legs, splattering all over the course. They had to then try and gain love and it was just... Okay, there's a limit. Okay, yeah. We fit the wall. But I just thought, like, you know the way you see runners? Paula Radcliffe. Was that her name, Jo? Yeah. That was her name. I can't not... I can't never... If I think about someone doing something like that, running, I'm like, Paula Radcliffe. Paula Radcliffe. Because she really needed to have a bowel movement and ended up doing it on herself during a run because runners are really competitive.
34:10But I feel like that's slightly different because at least you're like outdoors and you're just running and like the chances of you walking in dog shit anyway are like very high but like this on like gym mats and spreading it all over the place and everyone else having to put their hands down and do burpees I mean I feel like she should have been asked to stop Sonia O'Sullivan had to abandon a race
34:31Joanne McNally:I don't know if she did it publicly though No she didn't she ran off I remember everyone was like where is she going she just started running off in the middle of the race and then it turned out apparently it's quite common Gary Lineker has shot himself before when did Gary Lineker shit himself can we fact check that joke during a match listen happens to the best of us if you're going to sport I know somebody who was swimming and shat in the sea because they were doing a swimming race and just shat in the sea just like pulled their togs down I mean look each to their own the fact that people would still compete in that I mean if I got my Brass strap Twisted I drop out of Any sort of physical activity If I Do you know what I mean If I yawned I'd be like I'm not able I'm not ready I mean This is my question This is my question To these elite athletes Athletes like The High Rocks woman And Raygun Who I am I'm now calling her She did say She did come out She said a win is a win When everyone was Getting pissed off at her She's taking it down She's taking it down A win like a win.
35:41No, it doesn't feel like a win because it's not fair in everyone else because I wouldn't be able to continue competing if I was one of the other athletes and having to run through that.
35:52Joanne McNally:Yeah, well, I think shame would take me out of the track to be totally honest. You know what I mean? Like, I can't even, like, even if I had a tampon string showing up, I'd be like, oh my God!
36:07Joanne McNally:Two questions. One. and I'm including Ray Gunn on this where is the have we lost the art of ringing in sick? I don't know I feel like people are getting more and more competitive back in the day I don't think that this would have happened you can't be doing that Ray this woman shat herself physically Ray Gunn shat herself emotionally and spiritually right but they both of them should have rang in sick you're at the game there is something running down the inside of your leg it obviously happened in the middle of the game I think the play firstly everyone's like it's a biohazard I was like guys it's she's not fucking Chernobyl like it's only a bit of shit it is a biohazard you can get sick from that you can't be yeah you can't be like I mean what about the men at Dubai who get sex workers to shit in their to shit in their face what about is that a biohazard that's their business loads of people like being shot on but at least they're cleaning themselves up I don't know I don't know I have a real issue with this there's lots of things I'd let slide but I just wouldn't at the slide.
37:10Oh, no, no. The slide is not the word. It's not the words. I didn't even mean to do that. She's there doing wall balls, touching the ball and throwing it against the wall and then just like dropping it. It's just, it's so unacceptable.
37:26Joanne McNally:I think she should have been pulled. The kind of, the ongoing debate is should she have quit herself? Should she have been pulled? People are like, how come I get penalties if my knee doesn't, you're not allowed to spit and all this stuff and then she was allowed to openly shit herself and continue on. Listen, it's the motive, it's the drive that blows my mind. They hadn't written shitting yourself into like the rules because they just never expected it to. We don't need to do that. That's obviously talking to Hams. But I agree with you. The drive, like if I go for a run, well, I haven't gone in ages, but like I could go, I'll be like, right, I'm going to try and do a 3K run.
38:04I could do 200 meters and say, do you know what? No, couldn't be fucking honest. I'll happily stop. I know. Not today. I tried. Don't push yourself. I tried. I tried. Go you. Let's go for a cross on instead.
38:17Joanne McNally:Do you remember I got my period on stage in the SSE in Belfast? And remember like the drama around that, which I regret now. I should have just owned it. Now I'll tell you, I will moving forward. I can tell you. I might plan it. Get ready, San Francisco. I might plan. Dallas. Just opening bleed. Yeah. but yeah as always because I'm porous I feel sorry for everyone involved I feel sorry for Reagan I feel sorry for the High Rocks girl I feel sorry for the medicine ball I feel sorry for the other people involved in the High Rocks I feel sorry for the people I feel annoyed with the High Rocks girl I know it's so stupid but I feel like it's just it's just one step too far for me it's one of those things I just can't stand you don't like talking about it I don't like being around it yeah I love being around it yeah you know that that's why I can't talk about it because I miss it so much
39:13Joanne McNally:it's funny for some and it's that thing it's just the hypocrisy of it we all do it we have to see it publicly happen and you know what I'm going to say I'm going to say it if she was a woman sorry no she is a woman sorry I'm going to say it sorry Joe if she was a man I guarantee there wouldn't be the same thing there wouldn't be the same discourse it's because she's a woman and it's like ugh women having bowel movements and having bodily functions gross I think it's for I think it's for anyone I think this is very equal for men and women it's probably the only equal thing everyone would be just annoyed as a man doing that on the high I don't know I think they'd be like what a beast look at him in beast mode yeah and Joe Rogan Joe Rogan would have him on and he'd be like the face of I don't know some male diaper or something you know what I mean I could see them I could just see if it was a man there'd be a whole marketing campaign he'd be like I think I feel there's nothing more embarrassing in your own adult human life than something like that happening to you there's just no there's no like there's nothing more embarrassing either she goes to Korea and gets a full facelift at a reasonable cost because that's where everyone's going now or she has to just lean in I mean I'm sure there'll be a Netflix special I look forward to it I'll play the medicine and ball.
40:34Joanne McNally:Do it again. Do it again. I'd like to audition for the rowing machine. This is why I don't want to do ayahuasca. Ayahuasca. Whatever you call it. I don't want to be in a room with everyone doing this to themselves. You don't shit yourself. You just vomit. No, you vomit and shit. Sorry, can we fact check that show, please? You do. I know people who have done it. And like the whole room is just this fucking stench-filled disgusting. I don't want to have an outer body experience amongst that. The High Rocks woman is clearly going to bring out a line of gym gear that you can soil yourself in without anyone noticing because that's her only choice.
41:14Joanne McNally:So we'll wear them to the ayahuasca. Actually, what shorts was she wearing? I thought they were like leggings. I think Shirley would have kept it in. The muscle on her. My God. Like she is ripped. If you are going to go and experience ayahuasca you should know that it can stimulate both upper and lower digestive releases it says here yeah well you know what how can you open if you're going to have your mind opened I guess you have to you know other things are going to open too I'm willing to take the hit it's all just open it was so evolved you're just out of it I don't think you even know you're doing it and then you're stuck everyone else is oh god please no I couldn't.
42:02Joanne McNally:You're too busy having epiphanies and all You know? Are we going to talk about Sydney Sweeney or no? Yeah go on poor, sorry now don't start with poor Sydney Sweeney Sydney Sydney Sweeney if you ever want to employ her for an ad you know she'll go viral for you like straight off the back of the American Eagle campaign Oh my god Sidney Sweeney has gone viral again this week because she is doing an ad for Novig which is a sports prediction gambling site so it's gambling and it's sports but she's pretty much naked with like, what are they called? American footballs It's not pretty much Yeah, she is, yeah She's the full nude If I looked like her I probably wouldn't wear much clothes This is the thing Ever This is the thing female athletes are annoyed which I understand because they're like you're sexualizing something that we were trying not to sexualize and everything but like people are trying to figure out is the ad sexist is it setting women forward is it setting women back it's like but it's a gambling ad I mean arguing over the purpose arguing over the message behind it you're basically just rearranging cushions in a crack den it's gambling at the end of the day who cares who cares she actually she actually got away with the fact that it's a gambling ad like you know the way you usually get loads of backlash for a gambling ad she's gotten away with that no one's even noticed it's for a gambling site it's a gambling company that she has shares in so like people are like she's exploiting the male gaze she's invoicing the male gaze she's making a shit ton of money off these ads I find Sydney Sweeney firstie folk Sydney is she a Trump supporter do I think she's a Trump supporter she's she's vaguely vaguely Republican coded.
43:58Joanne McNally:Oh. Yeah, and so the last ad for the jeans was... Well, then the ad's not the worst thing about her, is it? Yeah, there you go. I think because there was the kind of controversy over the last ad, Sydney's got good jeans, I thought it was kind of a nod to eugenics, which, I mean, look, I don't think that's a stretch, but anyway, look, whatever, I'm not in America, but this, she's like an inkblot, whereas people see different things, men see sex women see problems like she's setting us back, moving us forward nobody knows but her boobs and body have sold jeans, soap, lingerie cinema tickets her tits have a bigger portfolio than you and me put together Vogue 100 % she is creaming that cash creaming the cash I mean it is her decision like I mean maybe she won't think it's questionable because she probably got paid an absolute fortune for it but like you do do things in your career that you're like oh I probably wouldn't do that now actually but maybe maybe we'd all do that if we do it she got paid if it's from a betting company I'd say she got a few mil for that one but she always kind of sexualises herself so that's like her thing that's it it's the same in Euphoria and everything everyone had a really big issue with her with who she was playing in Euphoria and how she was just sexualizing herself in that but like if that's the way she wants to do things then it's her own body it's her own body she can do whatever she wants she can do what she wants it's it's like every time she gets her it's like she doesn't release ads she just triggers culture wars every ad she does someone was saying so the general argument is either she's kind of doing it all on purpose and she knows what she's doing and she's setting us all back or people like she's a marketing genius i'm like i wouldn't call her sorry now and like no disrespect sid because i you know you're doing your thing Sid Sid Sid Sid She's gone out with Scooter Braun Mad Anyway He's a bit problematic as well though in himself I'm not going to go so far as to say being nude is is marketing genius It's not like It's not It's not genius It's a move It's a statement I wouldn't call it genius now Do you know what I mean Anyway People really love to hate it I know But there is always that thing.
46:24There's always a pile on on somebody, isn't there? It's kind of mad where the whole world just likes to pile on certain people.
46:32Joanne McNally:I'm going to say she should have rung in sick as well. The three of them should have. Ray Good, High Rocks Woman, Sid Sweeney. All of them rung in sick. Take a duvet day. Take a duvet day. High Rocks Woman. So I looked into her. I think she only gets about 35 grand for winning that High Rocks. I'm pretty sure Raygun didn't get anything for going to the Olympics so at least Sydney Sweeney's making a bit of cash. Well Olympians if you earn money different countries pay each Olympian different amounts of money and some of them get paid a shit load of money like I think American athletes get paid a lot of money.
47:06Who's the highest paid? What country pays their athletes the most Jo? There's some that like I think Sweden pay them a lot of money but like it's four years of your life and you mightn't make any money from it. Yeah. So you have to be just so in fairness to Raygun I don't think she put four years of her life into it. She didn't. I think she just showed up on the day.
47:24Joanne McNally:There wasn't. I don't think she was doing a 24-7. I'd say you do more training for Strictly, frankly, than she did for the Olympics. There's a lot of training in Strictly, yeah. You definitely do more. Even you, you did the Christmas special. I think you were training more for Strictly than she did for the actual Olympics. I ran myself into the ground. You did. You did. You jived your way into the ground. I didn't jive my way anywhere. If you win an individual gold medal for Singapore, you can win up to 787 ,000 US dollars. See, that's pretty good. Look at that. Tax-free? Written off? I can look into it for you if you're eligible for Singapore.
48:08Joanne McNally:I'm just looking up, is shit actually a biohazard? Because if it is... 11-11, make a wish, quick. I can't let it pass by. Go. That is what started the cholera epidemic. The one that I like to talk about with your man, John Snow, and the pump, it was a baby's nappy was thrown into the sewage system and the baby had cholera. But then the baby didn't start the cholera if the baby had cholera. It's all very chicken and egg. Hold on. Okay, everyone, that's it. Thank you so much for listening. Oh, yeah. Yes, human and animal feces are considered a biological hazard because they carried harmful germs that can cause serious illness.
48:45Joanne McNally:E. coli and Salmonella I take it back Have a good weekend everyone My neighbour's dogs were called Sam and Ella Two golden retrievers Yeah I've told you that before They were like Salmonella That's really funny I like that Where's the contamination I have to answer some questions here To get my full response Bye See you soon

They're back! Yes, there was a business (an actual new, human life) to attend to, but they couldn't leave it any longer... There is too much to discuss. Too much has happened. HOW was that woman allowed to continue competing? WHEN will Sydney Sweeney just calm down and stop upsetting people? And exactly HOW MANY names did Vogue consider before she decided???
