Yes, get ready for the resurrection of the faith and family values conservative. Yeah, maybe they could dust off old Mike Pence and bring him back into the fold after, you know, the party nearly hung him at our nation's capital on January 6th. Top headline in Newsweek Woke is back. Liberals celebrate clean sweep of election victories.
0:33Democrats won governorships in Virginia and New Jersey, and Democratic Socialist Zohan Mamdani won the race to become the next mayor of New York. Tuesday's victories could be a sign that Democrats' popularity is rebounding. Well, it's entirely possible, especially if they can focus on it's the economy stupid over woke politics. News talk and opinion with a both-sides-suck kind of agenda and just a soupçon of satire. It's Newsweek Radio. I'm Jesse Edwards. And I get the feeling that I'm going to be saying this a lot over the next few years, because every time I do, my downloads go up. Wokeism created Trump.
1:08And if you keep doubling down on it, things like Trump are only going to get worse. The Democratic Party knows this. The elections last night prove this, that it's the economy stupid right now, because everybody is suffering from the ghetto to the trailer park, up into the suburbs and into the inner cities. Middle class has become the lower class as they bleed us of our wealth generationally through overtaxation, inflation, and the devaluation of our currency. But go ahead, tell yourself that the mayoral race in Manhattan is any kind of indicator for mainstream America. The only one I hear talking about mainstream America anymore, on mainstream media at least, has been Marjorie Taylor Greene of all people.
1:44And listen, I really want to believe her because I, like many other, find myself agreeing with much of what she is saying on television right now. But I gotta tell you, my gut just won't let me because I know that she is a pit viper of the worst kind, and this is nothing but an act. I wouldn't trust Marjorie Taylor Greene as far as I could throw her. Did you see how reasonable, calm, and collected she was on Real Time with Bill Maher last week? Watch this. Here's why I'm angry. The Democrats passed Obamacare, but yet the Republicans have never done anything to correct the problems that exist with it.
2:15And I blame my own party. That's absolutely wrong. And I don't think it's an easy thing to fix. However, it's something that we should have a plan for. And Mike Johnson for a month now cannot give me a single policy idea. And I'm angry about that. Is this your understanding of Obamacare that it raises? Yeah, she had Bill Maher's audience eating out of her hand. But I gotta say, you don't just suddenly start appearing to be this good without some sort of expensive help. Marjorie Taylor Greene also laid on the charm factor really thick on The View earlier this week. Take a watch. I'm with women, so I feel very comfortable saying this.
2:51I'm really tired of the pissing contest in Washington, D.C. between the men. I really am. Do you realize what a massive chore it must have been to, forgive the expression, polish this turd to the point where you could serve it as the main course at a fancy restaurant like this? It sure seems like Marjorie Taylor Greene has been receiving some serious high-level coaching to make her look and sound this good on TV because she was not this good three months ago. And this level of coaching must have been expensive, because they have done an incredible job at transitioning her into appearing like a reasonable person.
3:26And I do. I really want to believe Marjorie Taylor Greene, but I think she's just entering the final phase of her molting process to become the fully matured political reptile that she is. And she's learned from the best, which is her mentor, Donald Trump. And ever since Donald Trump paid for an investigation into replacing Marjorie Taylor's seat in Georgia, she's been slowly trashing more and more Republicans and the Republican agenda ever since. She's also been smart enough not to attack Donald Trump directly, which is another sign to me that she's being directed by somebody with more strategic prowess than she does herself.
4:00Now, who could that be? I don't know. It doesn't really make any sense that Trump would bankroll this incredible transformation of MTG if he wanted to replace her in Congress, because there's only enough crazy in the room for the chief nut in the GOP. And the Democrats wouldn't be bankrolling Marjorie Taylor Greene either, I mean unless she was one of them and they were simply deactivating and re-assimilating a liberal plant, but that doesn't sound realistic either, does it? No, the only thing that makes sense to me is that Marjorie Taylor Greene is about to split with the GOP on an independent ticket for the presidency in 2028.
4:30And in that sense, she could be easily bankrolling this political rebranding of herself with the$21 million she's earned since joining Congress just four years ago. It's why people spend millions of dollars to get elected to civil servant positions that pay less than 200k a year. You do the math. I mean, she knows better than anybody. She doesn't have a real chance at the White House, but she could easily cut the party in half and take it with her by running as an independent. And if she can position herself as the political voice of the conspiracy right, she could make a mountain of cash by selling merch alone.
5:01Never mind the book sales and podcast syndication deals. I mean, this could be incredibly lucrative for Marjorie Taylor Greene. And what will the right look like after that? What will the right wing look like in a few short years when Trump is out of the picture and somebody like Marjorie Taylor Greene leads half the remaining base party off into Jewish space laser land. Why don't you go talk about Jewish space lasers and really why don't you f*** off? How about that? She told the women on The View that she never said that, but she did say that on Facebook when blaming the Rothschild family and a space solar generator for causing wildfires in California.
5:35What will the conservative movement look like after Trump is gone and Marjorie Taylor Greene becomes the ambassador of the conspiracy right, I'd say be ready for the sane conservative crowd to suddenly find God again after replacing it with Trump for the last decade. Yes, get ready for the resurrection of the faith and family values conservative. Yeah, maybe they could dust off old Mike Pence and bring him back into the fold after, you know, the party nearly hung him at our nation's capital on January 6th. I hope Republicans do go back to faith and family values again in the post-Trump era, because they made a mistake, but they don't need to keep repeating it.
6:08And not that I'm a big religious god guy, but at least we knew where Republicans were coming from back in the day before this secular nihilist Trump kind of conservative showed up on the scene. The energy behind the entire movement to date has been about trying to be more toxic than the liberals by acting just like they do, albeit subconsciously. I actually think that most liberals think they're doing the right thing and that they believe in all honesty that they're actually helping the rest of us. But the big difference between them and Trump is that Trump Trump is only trying to help himself.
6:37And that's all he's ever done because he's a stark, raving, mad narcissist on the most profound level humankind has ever seen, short of Caligula. Trump is not a conservative. He's a goddamned hedonist with unlimited amounts of cash who's been able to live without consequences for the last 80 years. Thankfully there's nobody on the right who can follow Trump's act of epically embarrassing proportions. I mean, that's especially if MTG can herd half of these conservative cats into an independent party. They'll probably call it America first. Who knows? Elon Musk could fund it. I know he's talked about forming a third party.
7:09Come to think of it, I might have just answered my question from earlier about who has funded Marjorie Taylor Greene's dramatic political sex change operation. Elon Musk. Could be. It's pure speculation, of course, but that's what I do on this program because somebody's got to do it. I can see Marjorie Taylor Greene positioning herself as the high priestess of the conspiracy right because this division that she's about to exploit is all about the Christians versus the Jews, and it's causing a complete meltdown in the movement if you haven't noticed. It's also becoming a major distraction from the White House, which could be seen as a plus or minus to them.
7:41Anything that keeps Jeffrey Epstein out of the headlines, I'm sure is a welcome distraction to Trump. But even there, it's all connected because the conspiracy right thinks that Jeffrey Epstein was a Mossad agent whose sole purpose was to catch U.S. politicians in honey traps with underage girls so that they could use the compromet against them in order to dictate US foreign and possibly even domestic policy. We also hear a lot of people on the conspiracy right talking about how just because they disagree with how the nation of Israel conducts itself on the world stage doesn't mean that they're anti-semitic.
8:11MTG said this to the ladies on The View just this week, that just because she disagrees with what she calls genocide in Gaza doesn't mean that she's anti-semitic. I could almost believe her if she didn't have a track record of doing things, let's say, like headlining a conference organized by none other than Nick Quintas himself. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't be caught dead at a rally organized by somebody who praises Hitler, mocks the Holocaust, and calls Jews parasites. Marjorie Taylor Greene was the main event. There are many other examples, and if you don't know her track record by now, I'm not going to do any more homework for you.
8:46She is bad news, a rotten apple. And no amount of lipstick on this pig that is Marjorie Taylor Greene is going to change that. I genuinely hope that she proves me wrong, and I'd be glad to apologize if and when that ever happens. But I'm not going to hold my breath that she has in fact found the light when it comes to the culture war in America. Because these kind of changes don't just happen overnight with politicians. It's all an act. This is what they do. Washington is Hollywood for the aesthetically underprivileged. And Marjorie Taylor Greene is simply the first rat to jump ship before it syncs with Trump's laughable legacy.
9:19That, and she is a card-carrying member of the conspiracy right, who openly embraced QAnon back in 2017, which claimed at the time that Trump was secretly fighting a Satan-worshipping pedophile ring. She's also suggested that mass shootings from Parkland to Sandy Hook to Las Vegas are fake. I mean, those kind of lies sure cost Alex Jones a lot of money. What does it cost Marjorie Taylor Greene? I'd say that she's profited from this nicely and is moving on up in the world to tap that well even deeper. All of that on top of the Jewish space laser thing. Why don't you go talk about Jewish space lasers and really why don't you f*** off?
9:53How about that? She's absolutely cuckoo for cocoa puffs and our canary deep in the coal mine of the GOP that has since become filled with noxious and toxic gases of its own neither regions. I'm sorry. It is time to clear the air and now it seems like at least the Republicans for the first time in over a decade are finally starting to see themselves as beings who can exist out and away from under the shadow of Trump. It's a painful and necessary reassessment and introspection that will undoubtedly spin off into entire subcategories of identity crises and splinter groups that are just going to take another decade to recover from.
10:28And now, watching Marjorie Taylor Greene, of all people, successfully court the left wing with her faux-populist both sides language, it has me absolutely terrified for the future of the national discourse. One where the conspiracy hive mind has infiltrated, infected, and hijacked both sides of the conversation in America. I say the sooner we call these people out for who they are and what they represent, the better. And I'm also afraid that this is only the calm before the storm and the culture wars in America are only just beginning. If you don't take a stand against this insanity now, don't be surprised when our next president is wearing a tinfoil hat.
11:02That's it for today. And until we can do it again, it's Newsweek Radio. I'm Jesse Edwards. Catch you next time. Bye. And we say bye-bye. Newsweek Radio is a member of the Trust Project. Why don't you go talk about Jewish space lasers? And really, why don't you f*** off? How about that?
