0:28News talk, opinions, speculation and satire. claiming that these are cartel boats bringing drugs into the United States. I don't even care one way or another to tell you the truth. It's not like there aren't dangerous cartels in Venezuela that are worth taking out. I hope they're getting the bad guys at least. But let's just assume for argument's sake that our Department of War Crimes might even be actually targeting drug cartels, not random fishermen. And that yes, Maduro is illegitimate and clearly corrupt and part of the cartel itself and should be removed. No argument there. And yes, there are even a lot of strategic reasons like shoring up competition in the region from China and Russia and cashing in on the chaos to tap those deep oil reserves.

1:07I get all that. Venezuela is collapsing and I still do not care. And look, the America first people have a lot of problems, but they're right about one thing. And that's the fact that we are collapsing here at home and taking care of America should be top priority over helping anyone else on the planet. That goes for Israel, that goes for Ukraine, that goes for Venezuela too. It goes for all of them. That's what MAGA thought that they were signing up for with Donald Trump. And now, yet again, they're realizing that he is just another deep state swamp monster who will do whatever his deep state overlords want him to do.

1:41Because it's lucrative, it's profitable. Not for us regular folks, of course. Just our billionaire oligarch class, which, in case you haven't noticed, have clearly taken over the country and are proceeding to bleed all of us dry even further. Look, I'm not even denying that Maduro's a bad guy and needs to go. Joe Biden said the same thing. Trump and Biden basically agree on this front. And so do most rational people who know what Maduro did. That's not the point. The point is that a lot of world leaders are corrupt. We don't have to look any further than our own White House or the clowns on Capitol Hill to see that.

2:12So maybe we should clean up our own house before we let our so-called leaders clean up the rest of the world. This is what's driving the America First crowd bonkers, because it should. It's not just the America First crowd that are beyond sick and tired of seeing every single tax dollar that we will ever pay in our entire lifetimes to buy two or three bombs to be dropped on some poor fisherman in South America.

2:37Do you realize how much it costs the United States government to surveil, track, and blow up a small boat off the coast of Venezuela? Blowing just one narco boat out of the water could cost the United States government tens of millions of dollars when you factor in the jets and the ships and fuel and logistics and the bomb itself. How much does the average U.S. taxpayer pay the government over their lifetime? $500 ,000 to$1 million. Let's say$750 ,000 just to stick it right in the middle there. All the money that your government has stolen from you and your children over the course of your entire life at the threat of violence and incarceration wasn't even enough for one-tenth of the operational cost that it would take to blow one fishing boat out of the water on the coast of Venezuela.

3:26That's what people are sick and tired of. And it's a large part of the reason that people put Trump back in the White House to begin with. Because despite all of his nasty and repugnant flaws, MAGA believed that Trump would not do things like this.

3:43It's no different than George W. Bush going after Saddam Hussein under the false pretense of weapons of mass destruction. And the America First crowd is gagging on it right now. Bigly. I think it's just because Captain Bonespurs here, Trump feels bad that he didn't get to see any action after dodging the draft. And now that he's in his second term and isn't really accountable to anybody, he wants to act like he's some sort of war genius badass. And everybody can already predict how this is going to go down. Trump starts by bombing the cartels. The cartels will then loudly turn against Maduro and then deliver him to the United States as we take over their oil reserves and set up military bases.

4:21After we install our own cartel-approved puppet president, the cartels will get back to doing what they do best, just like the U.S. has allowed them to do for decades as long as they bribe the correct officials. Basically the same thing that happened in Afghanistan. But instead of oil reserves, it was heroin.

4:40You don't think that the CIA has a track record of turning a blind eye to most of this, if not outright letting it happen? The Central Intelligence Agency has been fighting the Contra War with the help of international drug traffickers. Look, the point here is that the deep state has a long track record of these international blunders in recent history for one to conclude that Trump was just simply going to follow the same pattern here. And his own people recognize that more than anybody. And it's just another major piece of evidence that Trump has abandoned MAGA for his own whimsical agenda. Because whatever Trump wants, Trump gets.

5:15That's the entire depth of his persona. And in that sense, I think that Trump is probably destined to go to heaven after he dies. I want to try and get to heaven if possible. I'm hearing I'm not doing well. After all, how could an all-knowing, just, and loving God create such a dumb and detestable creature only to condemn it to hell for merely being itself as it was created? Yes, dear Lord, please forgive Donald Trump for being such a petty and small-minded, greedy little puke of a human being. But to be fair, you created this monster, not us. So maybe it's time that you took a little more responsibility, Lord, for your actions and stopped blaming sins that you invented on all of us.

5:56Of course, I'm halfway joking, but I'm also halfway serious as well. And don't worry, God is big enough to take some well-placed criticism. And I'm just as angry with God for creating Donald Trump as I am that he took the time to create the mosquito. It's not the mosquito's fault that he's here on planet Earth doing dumb mosquito shit. I just don't think it's healthy to sit here all day beating up on Donald Trump because he makes it so easy. Every dumb word that falls out of his stinking pie hole is so surface level that it's like shooting fish in a barrel just to go after the guy anymore. There's no sport to it.

6:29I mean, it could be really fun, but it just gets old really quick. So in the interest of spontaneity and just to change things up a bit, I thought it might be fun to say something nice about the giant douchebag for a change. So let's try it. Donald Trump proposes eliminating income tax. He's proposed almost completely cutting an income tax, which he said could be achieved thanks to the effects of his trade policies. Well, it's never going to happen, but let's take a listen anyway. Over the next couple of years, I think we'll substantially be cutting and maybe cutting out completely, but we'll be cutting income tax.

7:03Could be almost completely cutting it because the money we're taking in is going to be so large. Well, I'm not going to hold my breath, but I'm trying to be nice here. And I've said it before, but if Trump can somehow pull this off, I will take back everything bad I've ever said about the moron and quietly go about my business. Because then and only then would Trump's ends justify his idiotic means. It's the only thing that Trump could ever do to get me to look the other way, I believe. Though I'm not sure it would be quite enough to make me a fan. I mean, if he would simply eliminate the income tax for, say, the lower 80 % and started rounding up all the street druggies instead of the illegal Mexicans, I think we would have a deal in this imaginary scenario of mine because that would truly be revolutionary to the point where I could forgive his greedy incompetence.

7:50Getting rid of the income tax is the least we the people could get in return for the dollar being cut in half every 25 years. Consider elimination of income tax reparations for generational inflation. I'm all for it. People say that tariffs will be the new taxes, and that's true to some extent, but at least I'll be able to decide where my money goes and where it doesn't go. And just think, with all that extra cash, people can start their own made-in-America businesses and perhaps we can stop depending on China for all this crap that does nothing to bring satisfaction to our lives. You know why it's so hard to find gifts for people over the holidays?

8:21Because most people living in America already have everything they want. Because if they wanted it bad enough, they already bought it for themselves. I'm sure that most of you listening right now struggle at least on occasion to purchase something for yourself because you don't even know what it is that you want to buy. But you've got that extra hundo in your pocket, and now it's stressing you out, because you know that you want to buy something even though you don't know what it is. And now you've got a garage full of crap from China that you forgot you even had, and now you've got to stuff it into a storage unit.

8:50And now you're paying rent for crap that you don't even need. So yes, please, eliminate the income tax for the average American Donald Trump. In my book, it would be the first great thing you've ever done in your entire life, so I'm not going to hold my breath that you're ever going to do it. But I'm just saying that if you do, I would be willing to forgive and forget a lot of crap that you've pulled over the years, and I'm assuming that a lot of other people would too. And while you're at it, make it retroactive so that a lot of hard-working Americans are no longer being harassed for back payments or clerical mistakes made by the IRS.

9:21That's how you know the IRS is just one big sadistic psyop, when they know exactly how much you make and how much you owe already, because they make that clear whenever people dare to make a mistake, don't they? So why don't they just do their own damn paperwork if they already know everything and just leave us the hell out of it, please? The IRS will send law enforcement to your house and put a loaded gun in your face, kidnap you, and throw you in jail if you don't pay your taxes. How is that not coercion? So if you're just gonna rob us at gunpoint anyway, why not just take what you need and get the hell out of our lives?

9:56But no, instead you make us fill out the paperwork while you steal from us. That is just sadistic and wrong. The IRS makes you confess your own numbers so that they don't have to be accountable for anything. They already know what you made, they already know what you owe, but the minute they do the math, they own the mistake. They're not about to take that hit. So instead, they shove the burden onto you and force you to sign it under penalty of perjury. If by some miraculous means Donald Trump actually killed that racket, if he really yanked the self-incrimination ritual out by the roots, then maybe, just maybe, I'd believe what he was doing was something for the people instead of for himself.

10:40But until then, the IRS has just got to keep pretending that this is about taxes when really it's about absolving themselves. That's the part that nobody says out loud, but everybody knows is true. And oh hey, would you look at the clock? We're out of time. So until we can do it again, it's Newsweek Radio. I'm Jesse Edwards. Catch you next time. Bye. And we say bye-bye! Newsweek Radio is a member of the Trust Project. Get out of here.

Trump’s push toward a Venezuela war exposes the same Deep State playbook as every failed intervention, and reignites the argument that killing income tax should come long before funding another foreign conflict.
