In short
The episode alleges Donald Trump is profiting from privileged information and undermining election integrity, focusing on Iran-related “war profiteering,” market betting before announcements, and the proposed SAVE Act requiring documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to vote.
Guest backgrounds
No guests are named in the transcript; only host Jesse Edwards and a quoted/introduced White House counsel, David Warrington.
Key claims
Oil futures spikes and betting surges on Polymarket (NYT-cited) allegedly occurred minutes/days before Trump paused Iran strikes, implying insider trading. The Justice Department’s integrity unit and SEC enforcement are portrayed as weakened, limiting investigations due to presidential immunity. SAVE Act is framed as election interference and a setup for deporting U.S. citizens misidentified as illegal immigrants.
Notable examples
$580M oil futures spike 16 minutes before the Iran strike pause; Polymarket bets predicting a U.S. strike; Venezuela/Nicaragua Maduro capture bets turning $32k into $400k; tariff pause-related stock trades minutes before Trump’s announcement.

And where should we start on Trump's corruption today? War profiteering in Iran or tampering with the upcoming midterm elections via the SAVE Act? Let's start abroad today and work our way home, shall we? They're going to make a deal. They're going to make a deal. They did something yesterday that was amazing, actually. They gave us a present and the present arrived today. It was a very big present Worth a tremendous amount of money And I'm not going to tell you what that present is But it was a very significant
1:06Prize First of all There was a point I think in Donald's life Where he was a much better liar than this But he's just clearly slipping It's not even trying You got a present from the Iranians You sir are absolutely full of it And I suggest somebody go check your diaper And they gave it to us, and they said they were going to give it, so that meant one thing to me, we're dealing with the right people. Everybody's clamoring right now to try to figure out what Captain Bonespurs is talking about here, but I think it's kind of obvious. On Monday,$580 million in oil futures flooded the market in a sudden spike with no public news to explain it.
1:42Just 16 minutes before Trump announced a pause in strikes on Iranian power plants. I've directed the Department of War to temporarily postpone planned strikes against major energy and electricity targets in Iran. I think there's a very good chance we're going to end up in a deal. And so we're giving it five days, and then we're going to see where that takes us. And I would say at the end of this period, I think it could very well end up being a very good deal for everybody. As good as if we went all the way and just literally annihilated the place. Wow. On the Friday before this war began, a highly unusual surge of more than 150 polymarket accounts placed hundreds of bets, predicting a U.S.
2:26strike on Iran by the next day, according to New York Times. But to be fair, a lot of us knew that was coming. But somebody on the inside is cashing in on privileged information here. They did something yesterday that was amazing, actually. They gave us a present. And thanks to the Supreme Court's recent ruling about presidential immunity, if that information is somehow tied to Trump, it is now virtually impossible to investigate. But good luck trying. I'm not going to tell you what that president is, but it was a very significant prize. And hey, look, this did not start with Iran either. At my direction, the United States conducted an extraordinary military operation in the capital, Venezuela.
3:10There's no evidence that Trump knew about these suspicious trades or that any officials were involved in any way. And we take you now to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with White House counsel David Warrington. The president has no involvement in business deals that would implicate his constitutional responsibilities. President Trump performs his constitutional duties in an ethically sound manner and to suggest otherwise is either ill-informed or malicious. Good. Say it again. The president has no involvement in business deals that would implicate his constitutional... No, no. The president has no involvement in business deals that would implicate his constitutional responsibilities.
4:04It is, President Trump performs his constitutional duties in an ethically sound manner and to suggest otherwise is either ill-informed or malicious. Alright, that's enough of that. The pop of vessel. This message is brought to you by Cologuard. We've all forgotten something important before. Your keys, your phone, maybe even one birthday you definitely meant to remember. Life always has a way of filling up the to-do list. And for many adults, colon cancer screening keeps getting pushed to the bottom. That's why health insurers and systems are working to close the colorectal cancer screening care gap by mailing out Cologuard kits, helping more people stay up to date.
4:43The Cologuard test is a non-invasive option that requires no special prep or time off. It's that simple. The Cologuard test helps remove barriers that keep people from getting screened. If you're 45 or older and at average risk, ask your doctor about the Cologuard test. Available by prescription only. Learn more or request a prescription at Cologuard.com slash Newsweek. Newsweek. Do not use the Cologuard products if you have had adenomas, which are a type of colon polyp that can sometimes become cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, or any other hereditary syndromes, a personal or first-degree family history of colorectal cancer, or a positive result from another colon cancer screening method within that test's recommended screening interval.
5:20Cologuard results should be interpreted with caution. A positive test result does not confirm the presence of cancer. Patients with a positive test result should be referred for colonoscopy. A negative test result does not confirm the absence of cancer. Patients with a negative test results should discuss with their doctor when they need to be tested again. False positives and false negative results can occur. This isn't just confined to the Middle East either. On January 2nd, a trader turned roughly$32 ,000 into more than$400 ,000 by betting on the capture of Venezuela's Nicaragua Maduro before it was announced the next morning.
5:52How can he close me up? On what ground? I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here. You're winning, sir. Oh, thank you very much. And last April, a surge of stock trades appeared minutes before Trump announced a dramatic 90-day pause in the Liberation Day tariffs that were roiling the market. Coincidence? Lucky guesses? Are regular day traders so good at taking the pulse of American politics to the point of surgical precision like this? No, I never caught the gambling bug, unfortunately, but it's not too late to start new hobbies, I guess. One of the first wars that I got involved in, and I love doing it.
6:27I love it's one. It's like I shouldn't say it's a hobby because it's so much more serious than a hobby, but it's something that I'm good at. The Justice Department's public integrity section created after Watergate to prosecute corrupt officials was reduced from 36 lawyers to two last year. Oh, and hey, would you look at that? The SEC's top enforcement official resigned last week after agency leaders blocked her from aggressively pursuing cases touching Trump's inner circle. Yeah, you gotta know better than that. Nothing to see here, folks. Just move along politely, please. You know what the president can do some of this shit I'm doing?
7:02Just another politician who ran on the idea that he'd be getting rid of fraud, waste, and abuse just to turn on their own base in the second term and raid the liquor cabinet like a bunch of teenagers the second you leave for vacation. That vodka you're drinking right now is mostly water anyways. And now, Trump appears to be holding our airports hostage in order to pass the SAVE Act that is clearly just a push to try to interfere with our election system that was mysteriously sound enough to get Trump elected again in the first place. A system that somehow needs reinforcements now, under the guise of voter ID, that somehow illegal immigrants are voting in our elections and miraculously voting Democrat.
7:38We stop illegal aliens and others who are unpermitted persons from voting in our sacred American elections. The cheating is rampant. Hey Trump, you numbskull. You're the idiot who struts around like a dumb rooster bragging about how you closed the border and kicked out all of the illegal aliens. So unless you're just, I don't know, somehow completely full of shit, there should be absolutely no need to worry about illegal aliens voting because you kicked them all out. I know, I know, I know. I shouldn't try to apply logic to Trump when there's clearly never been any logic outside of kissing his ass to get what you want out of him.
8:16That was yesterday's show. So now that Trump knows that half of his bases turned against him via the Merck of First Faction, led by Marjorie Taylor Greene, Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and even secretly his own Vice President J.D. Vance, Vance Refrigeration, the SAVE Act would require voters to provide documentary proof of US citizenship and to people like me that feels like Trump is looking at us all like potential illegal aliens now as if the burden of proof that we are American citizens first rests on our own shoulders? Excuse me? When we all know damn well that the government knows exactly who we are and where we're at in any given moment if and when they want or need to?
8:54Give me a break. Considering all of the chaos and sheer stupidity that we've seen from Trump and his entire cabinet of gross incompetence in his second term thus far? You can start your bets now that Trump will be directly responsible for deporting U.S. citizens mistaken for illegal immigrants within a month of the Save Act passing. If it does, God forbid, pass. And I'm requesting that the Republican senators do that immediately. You don't have to take a fast vote. Don't worry about Easter going home. In fact, make this one for Jesus, okay? Make this one for Jesus. That's what I tell him? If the name on your driver's license, for example, doesn't exactly match your birth certificate, you probably won't be able to vote this year if they passed the SAVE Act.
9:35Just hope and pray that you're not also somehow flagged and bagged by the untrained goons over at ICE, who might jump to the conclusion that you somehow don't belong in the country. What, you don't think that could happen? You're not paying attention. Because this is how stupid things have become in our country. We also have homegrown criminals. I'd like to include them in a group of people to get them out of the country. These jackboot idiots are arresting Native Americans and trying to deport them. If that doesn't tell you everything about how incompetent our idiocracy way of life has become, I don't know what will.
10:04If it's a homegrown criminal, I have no problem. Now, we're studying the laws right now. Pam is studying. If we can do that, that's good. Even Nick Fuentes, the far right's favorite Mexican white supremacist, is publicly talking about longing for the days when grown-ups like Obama were in charge. Do not think for a second that that's nothing. When even a racist, rat-faced weasel like Nick Fuentes can read the room better than the pathetic conservatives who refuse to detach from the teat of the big orange orangutan in the White House? Look, Donald Trump is absolutely toast, but he's more desperate than ever, which actually makes him more dangerous than ever.
10:42And he's clearly bound and determined to do anything to hold onto power for as long as he possibly can. Which can't be long. He will destroy anybody and anything that tries to get in his way until his dying breath. And there isn't anybody left on the planet, apparently, that can do anything to stop him. I think I can do anything I want with it. You want to know the truth? Except for maybe J.D. Vance, if he wants to pull the 25th Amendment and do the one thing that would possibly get anybody interested in him, becoming the commander-in-chief. It's the only way J.D. Vance becomes president. He's got to turn on Trump like a supervillain.
11:10I don't think it's ever going to happen, but I sure wish it would, because I just want to see a good show, if I'm being perfectly honest with you. And we're all to blame for letting this happen with Trump. When are we going to stop playing these games of division so people like Trump are laughed off the stage before they can even consider trying to represent we the people? Trump is cashing in, going for broke, setting traps, and rigging the system to collapse in on itself like a dying star that's gone supernova, just to keep his name as far away from Jeffrey Epstein as humanly possible. And in that respect, it's disgustingly impressive what one man is capable of doing.
11:44just to keep his head above water long enough to grift another grift on his poor and unsuspecting victims who enthusiastically turn around and vote for him. That's all I got for today, and until we can do it again, it's Newsweek Radio. I'm Jesse Edwards. Catch you next time. Bye. And we say bye-bye! Newsweek Radio is a member of the Trust Project. I'm not going to tell you what that present is, but it was a very significant prize.

Someone is cashing in on perfectly timed trades before major decisions, and nobody is asking questions. Instead, you’re being told to prove you belong under the SAVE Act.
