In short

A satirical, opinionated take on a “post-Trump era,” centered on Trump firing loyal officials (Pam Bondi, Kristi Noem, and possibly others) and on political/economic fallout after Trump’s Iran war speech. It also attacks Trump’s Supreme Court rhetoric and claims he thinks he’s divine.

0:00I'm sorry, what's that? Pam Bondi was fired. His own attorney general? Damn it, that means I gotta change my notes. I had planned to mention Pam Bondi here in just a second. I don't know the answer, Senator. You do know the answer to this. Don't call me a liar. I didn't call you a liar. You just said I know the answer. I said I don't know the answer. I didn't call you a liar. You just said I know the answer. I said I don't know the answer. You have to talk to Director Patel. And wow, does he sure like to shit can his most loyal people. That should be a pattern that alarms the few who still think that they're somehow attached to our president.

0:24But if those people paid any attention to red flags, we wouldn't be in this mess to begin with. Irreverent news talk, opinion, satire. It's Newsweek Radio. I'm Jesse Edwards. Top headline at Newsweek. Donald Trump gets bad news minutes after Iran war speech. And what a snooze fest that was, right? I had to turn it off after about 90 seconds because I didn't want to go to bed last night at 7 o 'clock. This is a true investment in your children and your grandchildren's future. The whole world is watching and they can't leave the power, strength and brilliance. They just can't believe what they're saying.

0:55Trump praised the stock market for being the highest ever during a Wednesday address on the Iran war, but minutes later, stock market futures slid further amid economic uncertainty swirling after America's attack on Iran. Within minutes of Trump's remarks ending, futures tied to the Dow Jones average and S &P 500 and Nasdaq all turned decisively negative, erasing earlier gains from the regular trading session and pushing markets toward fresh short-term lows. Well, this idiot clearly can't do anything right. Let alone an all-out war with a country like Iran. Trump isn't even qualified to run a lemonade stand based on his track record for bankruptcies alone.

1:30Did you see that our incompetent boob of a president had the nerve to call Republican justices that he appointed to the Supreme Court? Stupid people. Take a listen. Republicans, judges, and justices, they always want to show that they're independent. I don't care if Trump appointed me. I don't care. if he doesn't make any difference to me. I'm voting against him because they want to show their independence. You know, stupid people. Never mind that these are your own appointees, you blithering psychopath. The Supreme Court of the United States doesn't work for you, you dumbass. They swore an oath to uphold the Constitution just like you did.

2:13But they actually meant it, unlike you did. Supreme Court justices actually swear two oaths before executing their duties. The first is swearing allegiance to the Constitution, and the second is the judicial oath, a pledge to impartial administration of justice under the law. Apparently, somebody needs to describe impartiality to Trump like he was five. Stupid people. Because the little guy is obviously having a difficult time wrapping his baby-butt-smooth brain around the concept. Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has even said that he believes Donald Trump is not doing too hot and even suggested that his supporters cut bait on him.

2:50If that doesn't tell you something, nothing will. Take a listen. When your ankles swell up three times the size they were before, that means heart failure. And he does look sick and he does babble and, you know, sound like the brain's not doing too hot. And so we just cut bait on Trump and we just mobilize against the Democrats. Mobilize what exactly, Alex Jones? The conservative movement has been torn to shreds by Trump because his entire second term thus far has betrayed them in almost every way imaginable. And we have to be appreciative of the old Trump that went through so much and got so much done.

3:21And that's the Trump we remember. And we're just sad because that happens. We need to be sad about Trump. This is not funny. This is not good, but he's gone. And that's it. Question to my conservative brothers and sisters out there listening to my voice right now, if even Alex Jones has jumped ship, what the hell are you still holding onto and why? Trump supporters know they got played, but they do not want to admit it yet. But they know. Oh, they know. Which is why it's more important now than ever to remind these folks that it doesn't need to be this way. Rejecting Trumpism does not mean embracing liberalism in any way, shape, or form.

3:54If anything, you need to repent for being led astray from your conservative values for following this charlatan into an unmitigated disaster at home and abroad alike. Just admit that you are wrong about this guy. People will forgive you and forget. Alex Jones just did it because he knows the majority of his audience is thinking the same thing. Same with Marjorie Taylor Greene. There are many others, and there will be many more as we approach and pass the 2026 midterms. The illusion is over, the spell has been broken, the emperor has no clothes, and we're tired of looking at him because we can't keep our food down when we do.

4:28Welcome to the post-Trump era.

4:33There are even some signs that Trump himself is aware of his own floundering. And what does Trump do when he feels like he's losing? He attacks those closest to him and fires them. Kristi Noem is already out, and so is her husband, apparently. Ha ha! Pam Bondi was just fired. There's my note. Tulsi Gabbard is probably next. Trump even recently criticized his own press secretary in public. And I think all of us know by now what that means. Nothing but good things to say about you one day, and then he drops a little hint that there might be some turbulence. The next day you're gone. Tell me that's not a pattern.

5:05This message is brought to you by Cologuard. We've all forgotten something important before. Your keys, your phone, maybe even one birthday you definitely meant to remember. Life always has a way of filling up the to-do list. And for many adults, colon cancer screening keeps getting pushed to the bottom. That's why health insurers and systems are working to close the colorectal cancer screening care gap by mailing out Cologuard kits, helping more people stay up to date. The Cologuard test is a non-invasive option that requires no special prep or time off. It's that simple. The Cologuard test helps remove barriers that keep people from getting screened.

5:37If you're 45 or older and at average risk, ask your doctor about the Cologuard test. Available by prescription only. Learn more or request a prescription at Cologuard.com slash Newsweek. Do not use the Cologuard products if you have had adenomas, which are a type of colon polyp that can sometimes become cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, or any other hereditary syndromes, a personal or first-degree family history of colorectal cancer, or a positive result from another colon cancer screening method within that test's recommended screening interval. Cologuard results should be interpreted with caution.

6:07A positive test result does not confirm the presence of cancer. Patients with a positive test result should be referred for colonoscopy. A negative test result does not confirm the absence of cancer. Patients with a negative test result should discuss with their doctor when they need to be tested again. False positives and false negative results can occur. We have all seen this movie before, haven't we? Trump hires and appoints the best and brightest people until they do something that ticks them off And then they're gone, replaced by someone with somehow even less scruples than they had. Trump is cornered right now by all of the stupid things that he's done in his second term, so he's about to start lashing out at anything near him that gives him even the slightest hint of disloyalty.

6:45Stupid people. He wishes he could fire his Supreme Court appointees right now, but he can't. And that eats away at a spoiled brat billionaire like Trump like acid. He's the kind of person who can never be told no, because he'll either just skirt around it or find a loophole or try to invent one or just do what he wants to do anyway because he knows that nobody can stop the rich kid who gets whatever he wants and has zero shame. And to protect himself from ridicule, he surrounds himself with, yes, men and women who tell him that he's the next incarnation of Christ himself. Yeah, here's Trump's spiritual advisor, Paula White Cain, speaking with Trump on stage.

7:21Trump's standing right behind her as she turns around repeatedly to look him in the eyes As she says this in a clip that the White House has since deleted after evangelicals were understandably a little bit outraged. Jesus taught us so many lessons through his death, burial, and resurrection. He showed us great leadership, great transformation requires great sacrifice. And Mr. President, no one has paid the price like you have paid the price. It almost cost you your life. You were betrayed. and arrested and falsely accused. It's a familiar pattern that our Lord and Savior showed us. Yes, yes, Trump has the stigmata, I believe.

8:07Just look at his tiny hands and you will see the wounds of Christ. Well, you'll see some bruises on the tops of him anyway that he's caked makeup over the top of. Because of his resurrection, you rose up. Because he was victorious, you were victorious. And I believe that the Lord said to tell you this, because of his victory, you will be victorious in all you put your hand to. But there you have it. I said on the program just yesterday that Trump thinks he's God. Gee, I kind of wonder where he ever got a stupid idea like that. Stupid people. That's it for today. And until we can do it again, it's Newsweek Radio.

8:43I'm Jesse Edwards. Catch you next time. Bye. And we say bye-bye. Newsweek Radio is a member of the Trust Project. When your ankles swell up three times the size they were before, that means heart failure. And he does look sick. And he does babble and, you know, sound like the brain's not doing too hot, but he's gone. And that's it.

Pam Bondi is gone and the unraveling feels familiar. When pressure hits, Trump eats his own, and this time it might signal something bigger. Allies are peeling off, markets are reacting, and even loyalists like Alex Jones are done with him. Welcome to the post-Trump era.
