0:00Just catching this story myself as I begin to record. Trump health fears soared during bizarre press briefing. I like Hell's Angels. Trump praises notorious biker gang that he claims are babies compared to migrants. Are you kidding me? Yes. Let's take a look at that. They make our criminals look like babies. They make our Hell's Angels look like the sweetest people on earth. The Hell's Angels are now considered a nice, high-quality person. I like the Hell's Angels. They voted for me. So you like the Hell's Angels, do you, Donald? I like the Hell's Angels. So let me read you a little something from a guy who was with the Hells Angels for a brief period of time.

0:36Hunter S. Thompson, easily my favorite author. These chapters were originally written in Newsweek, by the way. Before Gonzo was a brand, this was straight reporting. Quote, the Hells Angels didn't like to be called losers, but they learned to live with it. Unquote. Gee, no wonder Trump likes the Hells Angels. They're everything he is and wants to be. Check out the book. There's a bunch of Newsweek references in it. That's why I've got it, because I'm a dork. And I like Hunter S. Thompson, and I really enjoy where I work. So I decided to have a little show and tell. I like the Hells Angels. They voted for me.

1:08It's irreverent news talk, opinion satire, Newsweek Radio, Jesse Edwards. Top headline over at the Drudge Report at the moment is actually a Newsweek article. It's titled, Republican Blasts Immoral Trump Actions After Issuing Impeachment Warning. And it is always fun to see a Newsweek article out in the wild. Representative Don Bacon, a Nebraska Republican, criticized President Trump's push to acquire Greenland, calling it immoral just days after he suggested that the president could face impeachment over the matter. And good for Don Bacon, but unfortunately, he's just another one of these representatives who are leaving office in the near future.

1:44Much like Marjorie Taylor Greene, it's kind of easy to criticize Trump when you've already got one foot out the door, albeit admirable. It's also good to see Rand Paul out there again on the right side of history, finally. Even if he did spend the first four years of Trump's administration licking his boots, Rand is not his father. Ron Paul never endorsed Trump because he has a little something called integrity, one of the rarest commodities of a representative. Another headline from Newsweek today. Denmark would go to war with U.S. over Greenland, according to Rasmus Yarlov, a member of Copenhagen's parliament with the opposition Conservative Party and the chair of the Defense Committee.

2:23Well, that's just great. A hot war with NATO was not on my prediction list for the spring of 26, but here we are. And to be brutally honest, I almost hypothetically want it to happen at this point. What do I mean by that? Well, I mean that maybe it's time for even Trump's inner circle to be hit with a tsunami of a PR shitstorm so that every knee will finally bow and every Republican tongue confess that Donald Trump is a pile of flaming garbage on burning wheels. Amen. We are rapidly approaching that moment. And I recently spelled it out in one of my Newsweek opinion articles called The MAGA Trump Divorce Has Already Begun, where I argue that Trump is not the worst president in American history.

3:02He's the worst American in American history. That distinction matters because what comes next for him has very little to do with Democrats, politics, or ideology for that matter. Because Trump is going to be brought down by his own people. Because that's the way things always go for men like him. Yeah, we might as well browse some other Newsweek opinion headlines while we're here. There's no rules. Agriculture Secretary, a year of results. How Trump administration put American farmers first by Brooke Rollins. She's our current Agriculture Secretary. Quote, under President Trump, USDA is ushering in a new era of agriculture prosperity, unquote.

3:39Yeah, the translation is that President Trump destroyed the farmer with his own trade wars, then sent him taxpayer money to clean up his own mess. I like the Hells Angels. They voted for me. When your idea of prosperity is a permanent bailout funded by people who didn't cause the problem, you're basically just laundering failure through the Treasury. Nice try, next opinion piece. This one from retired judge and author Thomas G. Mokawasher. Apologies if I'm butchering that. His op-ed is titled The New American Ice Age, where he points out that in addition to Venezuela, in the first year of Trump's second term, The United States has bombed Nigeria, Somalia, Iran, Yemen, Syria, and Iraq.

4:19We have threatened Canada, Mexico, Colombia, and Cuba. And worst of all, the United States is presently threatening military action and imposing tariffs to coerce one of our staunchest NATO allies to sell Greenland to the United States. He's ordered American soldiers into American cities, including Washington, D.C., Portland, Chicago, Los Angeles, Memphis, and New Orleans. And he's followed them with thousands of ICE agents. They have become the perfect symbol of Miller's force-based world. We should call this Miller-Trump era the Ice Age. It is always terrifying when you stack up anything that Trump has done over any amount of time greater than 30 days.

4:57I appreciate the author's reminder of what's really happening and how bad things have really become in the world today, because it's easy to forget day-to-day when you're constantly being bombarded with bullshit from the administration in every direction like this nonstop. Some of us are convinced that it's by design. It does. It reminds me of this other link that I saw on Drudge Today, Trump Exhaustion Syndrome. This is by Ashley Parker over at The Atlantic. She compares it to boiling frog theory, which is obviously when you place the frog in boiling water, it'll immediately jump out. But a frog placed in cold water that is slowly heated will complacently boil to death.

5:33That's pretty close, but I think it's more of an information overload warfare. flooding the zone with so much disinformation that people collectively shut down because they don't know what or who to believe anymore. Yeah, muddying the water, whatever you want to call it. It appears that Trump is the enemy within, who is trying to inflict as much damage as humanly possible without getting in trouble for doing it. I like the hell's angels. They voted for me. As long as he doesn't fly too close to the sun, his wings won't get burnt and he'll get whatever he wants. At this point, we have zero reason to believe that Donald Trump will ever be held accountable for anything in the physical realm anyway.

6:12And I think it's time we act accordingly by preemptively taking the next steps forward into the post-Trump era, maybe even a little bit before it actually happens. What that exactly looks like, I'm not quite sure. But there has been a lot of online chatter about a tax revolt. There's even a talk about a protest to shut down the entire system for staying home for a month or two and not going to work might be effective if you can get most people to do it, but that's going to be your biggest problem. And while I'm not sure that extreme measures like this are even called for just yet, it is disturbing that a lot of us are starting to think along these lines.

6:45I'm not saying that it's right or condoning extreme protests like that, but I do understand where the urge comes from. It might even become enough to get Republicans to kick Trump to the curb if that threat becomes serious enough, but after 26, it's already going to be very trendy for Republicans to bag on Trump. If Republicans do well in 26, they didn't need Trump. If they do poorly, well, then it's his fault. The problem, I think, is that the American people just are not serious enough to pull it off just yet because we spend too much time fighting with each other over this idiot in the White House that has one foot in the nursing home.

7:17Oh, I'm sorry. Assisted living facility. Person, woman, man, camera, TV. No, No, no, I'm afraid that wouldn't work for Trump either. No, for him, they're going to have to call it something like the Presidential Wellness Campus or the Freedom Residence for Distinguished Leaders. Person, woman, man, camera, TV. Or a Cognitive Performance Retreat. Person, woman, man, camera, TV. I could do this for days, but hey, would you look at the time? We're out of it. So until we can do it again, it's Newsweek Radio. I'm Jesse Edwards. Bye. And we say bye-bye. Newsweek Radio is a member of the Trust Project.

7:55and don't forget to like and subscribe on YouTube. The Hells Angels are now considered a nice, high-quality person.
