There are so many crazy things coming directly from Trump and company right now that it's, well, it's hard to keep up, and it feels like we're reaching critical mass, or a turning point, if you prefer. He's stumbling through speeches, his age and health on full display, while barking out orders that sound more like a confused dictator than a president. The man looks and acts like he's at least had a mild stroke.
0:34He's squirming all over the place over the Epstein front and letting the entire government shut down just to keep that list out of your hands, apparently. And now it looks like he might give Gasoline Maxwell a part, and I know that's not really her name, but that's what I like to call her. So I'm going to do that. He flipped on Ukraine with a complete 180 there, and he's turning what he calls a war on cartels into a thinly veiled grab for regional power in Venezuela. He's sending troops into American cities like Chicago and Portland as if they're occupied territories and openly defying court rulings and state authority when he doesn't get his way.
1:10He's sicking the DOJ on his enemies. He's stacking the FCC with loyalists and using it to go after networks, comedians, and reporters who dare to mock his dumbass. He's threatened to pull licenses, he's cut funding to NPR and PBS, and he's trying to turn the press into his own personal propaganda machine. He's playing chicken with the budget, using shutdowns as weapons, bullying his allies abroad, and daring anyone to stop him. His rhetoric's getting darker, his lies are getting bolder, and the guardrails of democracy are splintering under the weight of his toxic ego. Whatever this wave is, it's building fast.
1:46And when it breaks, it's going to drag the country through hell before it ever becomes calm again. So brace yourselves, and make no mistake about it. Donald Trump is at war with America. That's the only way I can look at it personally. And it's been a long time coming, to be perfectly honest. Because in a lot of ways, I also see this as two sides who deserve each other as this fight plays out in the streets. Now, what do I mean by that? I mean that the stupid hippies in places like Chicago and Portland who spit on ICE agents deserve to get a lump or two on the head in a night in jail when they get violent.
2:17And at the same time, the ICE agents deserve to hear the protests from stinky hippies too. as long as it's peaceful and non-violent because even stinky hippies have the right to protest against what they see as government overreach. That's how it's supposed to work in the United States. That's what most of us were raised to believe. And that's something that most of us should be willing to fight to the death to protect. That doesn't mean that I appreciate either side of this mess. It's a stupid response to a stupid situation. And there's plenty of stupid blame to go around. And look, if you're really that easily offended by an opposing point of you, you're just telling the rest of us that you're insecure about your own belief system, because people who practice what they preach aren't triggered by those who don't.
2:59I think this is especially true for people who are new to politics and think that what they see on the surface is what's really happening, but it can and will happen to all of us. We're all guilty of it. Only some of us are aware of it, apparently. Before you dig in your heels and have a knee-jerk reaction to what I'm saying, remember that two wrongs do not make a right. Both sides deserve each other here. The left deserves some tough love when it comes to their bleeding hard insanity over the immigration issue while they let millions of undocumented Mexicans cross the border and stay. I mean, this was a Republican problem also under G.W.
3:29Bush, so now there's an equal and opposite reaction of equal stupidity that's not smart enough to avoid overreacting to the problem. Our government lets immigration slide for decades, so the people revolt by electing a revolting president who overreacts in a revolting way with a heavy hand on immigration, so the left begins to protest and now Trump escalates by sending the military in to contain the protests. Well, that's what he says he's doing when it's become abundantly clear to many of us that this is just more of the same kind of January 6th energy that our social vampire president exclusively feeds on.
4:02And make no mistake, Donald Trump absolutely loves this kind of shit and he won't stop doing it until his final breath. So we might as well just come to terms with that now. Because people like him want people like us to fight amongst ourselves so he can grift and graft like he's always grifted and grafted behind the scenes, making deals with shady people, boats and hoes, grabbing by the you-know-what, the whole nine yards, and I think you get the picture. And you know, it's so bad that part of me wouldn't even put it past a goon like Donald Trump to put out damaging information about himself just to add another billion dollars to his bottom line somehow.
4:35Yeah, that's exactly how far I think Trump's lust for money goes. That he would go so far as to perpetuate even something as horrendous as the Epstein scandal against himself if he thought he could make a buck off it. Now, based on how needlessly squirmy he is over Epstein, I don't actually believe this to be the case, but I'm saying that I wouldn't put it past him for a second. I mean, at least that would explain why he's acted so bizarrely over the Epstein case when it doesn't appear that he needs to. I fully embrace my Trump derangement syndrome because you would need to be deranged to want anything to do with this absolute dumpster fire of an administration.
5:10And it pains me to say that as a libertarian because I do wish that the one guy the conservatives all got behind wasn't such a douche. Better an enemy you can respect than a friend that you don't. I'm supposed to like this guy because most of my conservative friends are pretending that they do too, with rare exception. Because a lot of them will admit to you behind closed doors that Donald Trump is a dumpster fire. But they see him as a bull knocking everything over and breaking stuff in the antique store. This is nothing more than disestablishmentarianist anarchy because as far as MAGA sees it, the establishment is the problem and Trump is the only one dumb enough to pretend that he's fighting it.
5:45President Don Quixote? Almost. I'm not sure that Trump is attacking windmills as much as he's pretending to attack the windmills because it's the only way people will keep watching him. And he loves being the center of attention. We all like to stop and watch when a spoiled brat throws a tantrum in the grocery store a little bit, don't we? Be honest with yourselves. Don't you like to roll your eyes and smirk just a little bit? But there's a certain spectacle when a spoiled child is running through the candy store, screaming at the top of their lungs, snot running down their face, upset that they can have everything they want, but they're still not happy about it.
6:16A small part of us almost wants to see how far it's going to go. Will the parents correct the behavior? Will they overreact? Will the shop owners step in and tell the little brat to knock it off and quit touching the glass with his sticky little snot-covered hands? Because that would be funny. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad, because I think this is where we are at as a country, all waiting in line as we watch this annoying little devil do whatever the hell he wants because he knows that nobody has the guts to stop him. And I hope Trump actually does go after Jack Smith because Jack Smith had Donald Trump dead to rights and refused to lock him up for January 6th.
6:47Every single time one of these weak and ineffectual bureaucrat types goes up against a guy like Trump, they wet themselves in fear and hide in the corner like Jack Smith. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, what was the point of all that theater? From January 6th to demanding more votes in Georgia to shady real estate deals in New York to everything else this grifter did before he got back into the White House. And nobody can get anything to stick to this slimeball because they all absolutely suck at what they do. What else are we to assume? Trump gave the establishment every reason imaginable to throw his orange ass in prison for the next 20 years on a gold spray-painted platter from Walmart, and they blew it every single time.
7:27My conspiracy brain says that maybe they didn't blow it at all. Maybe the so-called deep-state left wants Trump to be exactly where he's at. Because as long as he's the wrecking ball in the room, they don't have to swing a hammer. They can just sit back, take notes, and wait their turn. Every norm that he shatters now becomes a tool that they can legally pick up later. And every overreach that he normalizes becomes precedent. Every abuse of power becomes an instruction manual for the left. Because when the pendulum swings back their way, you can bet your ass that they're going to use it. Just imagine content moderation disguised as speech protection where dissenting voices are quietly erased for safety.
8:03Journalists questioning the official narrative blacklisted and deplatformed all justified with the same national security language that Trump uses now. Yeah, think government endorsed truth panels to combat misinformation that sound noble on paper but act like digital speech police. Next comes mandatory ideological training under the banner of DEI, where diversity becomes a euphemism for conformity and inclusion means excluding anybody who doesn't parrot the right slogans. Where corporations are forced to toe the moral line or lose federal contracts and universities are rewarded for teaching identity politics as gospel.
8:35Then they'll tighten the screws on surveillance too, only this time it's going to be framed as fighting domestic extremism. Expect new laws that let the government spy on potential threats, which, depending on who's in charge, could mean anyone wearing the wrong hat or liking the wrong post. And let's not forget about lawfare. The same way that Trump uses the DOJ like a personal hit squad, the left is going to have absolutely no problem using it to punish what they call anti-democratic behavior. The translation is that anybody who votes or speaks or reports the wrong way can expect financial audits, weaponized IRS investigations, and hate speech charges, because that's all going to be fair game under the new moral order.
9:10And when they are inevitably questioned, they're going to do exactly what Trump does now. They're going to hide behind patriotism, claim persecution, and insist that democracy itself demands the heavy hand. And this is the curse of precedent. Once one side opens Pandora's box, everyone gets to play God with what comes out. Do you see where all this is going? Either way, it's not looking good for a lot of us. And I'd say that now is a better time than ever to set aside our identity politics on both sides. Because the dogs are closing in as we continue to fight each other over issues that were engineered, manipulated, and algorithmically optimized long time ago just to keep us pitted brother against brother in Trump's cold civil war in America today.
